Darrell Fuller, a Keizer, Oregon volunteer with deep personal ties to the Red Cross, is flying to Hawaii this Wednesday to help families recover from Hurricane Lala—a Category One storm that dumped over 40 inches of rain and caused widespread damage. Motivated by his own family’s experience with a devastating 2007 fire, Fuller will conduct door-to-door disaster assessments for three weeks, joining nearly 100 Red Cross workers already on the ground.
