Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary Isn’t Feeling All That Festive & Here is Why
In today’s episode, Ezra and Chelsea talk about the dark side of the Pokémon 30th Anniversary. They discuss the struggles with wanting to enjoy such a wonderful milestone amidst the hyperconsumerist, streamer-focused backdrop that has become Pokémon over the last few years. They discuss why and how it feels different from the 20th and 25th anniversaries, reminisce about being 10 years younger, and call all Pokémon fans to action to bring back the community and joy that used to be found in the Pokémon space.
