- 0:05Welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. This is Ariel Santana.
- 0:09Can you believe I'm seven years old already? I'm old enough now to introduce my dad.
- 0:15Ladies and gentlemen, your host, my dad, Angel Santana.
- 0:22Two thousand came and the spark was lit. A testimony raw, it wouldn't quit.
- 0:27It's mother's voice, a guiding thread.
- 0:55Fresh off the heels of the author, Jerry, who was on yesterday,
- 0:59Streets to the Sanctuary.
- 1:01We hope that you enjoyed yesterday's episode, clinging in over 6,000 hits so
- 1:05far. Thank you so much for listening.
- 1:07Now we begin on a Tuesday, March 31st, and we will begin the road to resurrection. That's the series.
- 1:15And today we call it When God Feels Silent.
- 1:19My name is Angel Santana. And this week we begin that new journey together,
- 1:23a journey toward Easter.
- 1:25This series is called The Road to Resurrection.
- 1:28And over the next few days, we're going to be talking and walking through some
- 1:32real moments, some heavy moments, but also some powerful reminders of what God
- 1:38is doing, even when we don't see it.
- 1:41And today, I want to talk to you about something that many of us feel,
- 1:45but don't always talk about.
- 1:48What do you do when God feels silent?
- 1:52Not gone, not absent, just quiet.
- 1:55You pray, but you don't feel an answer.
- 1:59You wait, but nothing seems to change.
- 2:03You believe, but things still feel uncertain.
- 2:08And those moments, it's easy to wonder, God, where are you?
- 2:14Why aren't you speaking? Why does it feel like nothing is happening?
- 2:20And if we're honest, these moments can be some of the hardest parts of our faith.
- 2:25Because we expect God to move quickly.
- 2:29We expect clarity. We expect direction. We expect something we can see or feel.
- 2:36But the days leading up to the cross were quiet too.
- 2:41There wasn't a big announcement. There wasn't a clear expectation or explanation
- 2:46for everyone. There wasn't a moment where everything suddenly made sense.
- 2:53There was tension. There was waiting. There was uncertainty. And sometimes silence.
- 3:00But silence doesn't mean God isn't working. In Psalms 37, verse 7,
- 3:05it says, Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.
- 3:09That's not easy. Because waiting feels uncomfortable.
- 3:13Stillness feels unfamiliar. Silence feels confusing.
- 3:18But sometimes God doesn't, well, God does His deepest work in the quiet.
- 3:25That's what I want to say.
- 3:27Sometimes He is strengthening you.
- 3:30And even when you don't feel it, he's strengthening you. Sometimes he's preparing
- 3:35something even when you don't see it.
- 3:37Sometimes he's protecting you even when you don't understand it.
- 3:40Just because you don't hear him doesn't mean he's not there.
- 3:44Just because you don't see movement doesn't mean nothing is happening.
- 3:49Think about it like this. Seeds grow in silence.
- 3:53You don't hear anything. You don't see anything at first.
- 3:56But underneath the surface, something is happening. And maybe that's where you are right now.
- 4:03Maybe you're in a quiet season.
- 4:05Maybe you're awaiting for an answer. Maybe you're praying for the direction.
- 4:10Maybe you're hoping for something to change, and it hasn't happened yet.
- 4:15But that doesn't mean God is absent. It might mean He's working beneath the surface.
- 4:21As we begin this journey toward Easter, I want you to hold on to this truth, this reality.
- 4:27God is still with you, even in the silence. still listening,
- 4:31still moving, still working.
- 4:34You're not forgotten. You're not alone. And your story is not on pause.
- 4:40God is writing something even in the quiet moments.
- 4:44Let's pray. Lord, help us trust you in the silence. Help us believe that you
- 4:49are working even when you don't see it or feel it.
- 4:53Give us patience while we wait and peace in the quiet moments.
- 4:57Remind us that you are always with us, even when heaven feels still.
- 5:03In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
- 5:05Thank you for joining me today on Half Faith, Let It Begin. Tomorrow,
- 5:08we're going to talk about something real, the weight we carry,
- 5:12and how Jesus understands it. Have a blessed day, everyone.
- 5:16And remember, Half Faith, Let It Begin.
