- 0:36Speaker 1: taking care of dogs for most of his life, and
- 0:41Speaker 1: we're lucky to have been on the receiving end of
- 0:43Speaker 1: some of that. You know him from Impractical Jokers. He
- 0:47Speaker 1: has a new stand-up comedy special out on YouTube called
- 0:51Speaker 1: Messing With People, as well as a new children's book
- 0:54Speaker 1: called Where's Barry I always enjoy my time and grateful
- 0:59Speaker 1: to sit down with just a light of the world.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Today's guest is Mr. Joe Gatto. Shine that light on me.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I'll sit and tell you my story.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Shine on me.
- 1:16Speaker 3: And I.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Will find a story. This place is awesome. I've never
- 1:35Speaker 1: seen this place. It's awesome. Oh, you haven't been here before?
- 1:37Speaker 1: I've never been here before, yeah. Oh, wow. It's nice. Fantastic. Yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 1: sometimes you just forget where you've been or where you
- 1:43Speaker 1: haven't even been, you know? You never know where you
- 1:46Speaker 1: haven't been. Yeah, that's true, huh? That's true. Good to
- 1:51Speaker 1: see you today. You brought a little buddy, huh? Yeah, Spumoni.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:54Speaker 1: One of my pups. One of my ghetto pups. And
- 1:56Speaker 1: how is... It's a man or woman? This is a woman.
- 1:59Speaker 1: It's a woman. This is a woman.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah. This is Pomoni. And how is she doing? She
- 2:04Speaker 1: seems okay.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:05Speaker 1: She's doing all right. Last time we spoke, she's fine. Yeah. Okay.
- 2:10Speaker 1: She's good.
- 2:10Speaker 3: She's a, she's one of my travel pups. She just
- 2:12Speaker 3: comes on the, when I'm not flying a lot and
- 2:14Speaker 3: I'm just on one or two and driving, she'll come
- 2:16Speaker 3: with me, you know?
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 1: She's not a great flyer, but she loves to chill.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And yeah, she seems very calm. In Japan, they were
- 2:24Speaker 1: given pills to a lot of those dogs and so
- 2:26Speaker 1: they could take good cool photos of them? You seen
- 2:28Speaker 1: the ones with their tongue hanging out? I know those.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I have a lot of those kinds of dogs because
- 2:32Speaker 3: I have a senior dog rescue and all their teeth
- 2:35Speaker 3: are out.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Yeah, they just hang out. That's weird. I didn't know
- 2:38Speaker 1: they do a pill-induced tongue out. Yeah, bring that up
- 2:41Speaker 1: if the Japanese were.
- 2:44Speaker 3: They wanted the tongue out, so it made them really
- 2:47Speaker 3: thirsty or just.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it just... Nicotine in the mouth a
- 2:49Speaker 1: little bit? It just like... You know, like that. Yeah, like...
- 2:55Speaker 1: Just gives you the right. Like they lived in Baltimore
- 2:57Speaker 1: kind of, you know, like some of these Baltimore hitchhikers.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Like bring that up if they were. Dropping tongues out in.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Japanese pilling up the dogs. There's a supplement.
- 3:10Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Were the Japanese giving pills to the dogs? That's all right.
- 3:15Speaker 1: That's a pretty good prompt. Yeah. You're just looking at medication.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You're just looking at dog pills. Yeah. Or some of it,
- 3:24Speaker 1: they hide a lot of the good shit on Google.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to dig deep sometimes. They come back
- 3:28Speaker 3: for it. That's not going to be on the first results.
- 3:30Speaker 1: No. Yeah, that's true, man. We got to learn to
- 3:33Speaker 1: go deep, dude.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Sometimes the way that Google finishes you, or do you
- 3:37Speaker 3: ever find that like when you put in something and
- 3:38Speaker 3: the way the search engine finishes what you started is
- 3:41Speaker 3: more interesting than what you were looking for?
- 3:43Speaker 1: He's just, oh, what is this? And you click that. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: that's really weird. Yeah, and all of them, it's always
- 3:47Speaker 1: like gay. It's like- Dead, gay. Yeah, it's all that stuff. Yeah, dude.
- 3:53Speaker 1: That shit's always ridiculous, man. Good to see you, bro.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Good to see you. It's been a minute, man. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 1: it has been a minute. Last time we saw each other,
- 3:59Speaker 1: we were both in the same city on tour, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: we got some pizza. Yeah, in Milwaukee. Yeah, Milwaukee. And
- 4:03Speaker 1: the pizza took forever, remember? Forever. I went back and
- 4:06Speaker 1: got it. I think we left, and you just went. Yeah,
- 4:11Speaker 1: you went back later that evening. I was like, let
- 4:13Speaker 1: me get this later. We ordered these pizzas, and they
- 4:15Speaker 1: gave it to us, yeah. They owed us some pies, man.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Oh, those people were, they did not want to give
- 4:20Speaker 1: it up. And I'm like, well, if you don't want
- 4:21Speaker 1: to give out the food, then don't be a restaurant. Right. Right.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:24Speaker 1: This is your thing. This is what you do. Like
- 4:26Speaker 1: I was back there. He was eating. He was back
- 4:29Speaker 1: there eating too. The one guy. Yeah. Whenever we saw him. Congrats, man.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You got a new special out. A new special out.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Your first special. First special. Wow. Messing with people. Yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It's really excited about it. It's out on YouTube.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And I was, it was great, man. I toured with
- 4:43Speaker 3: it for two and a half years and you know
- 4:44Speaker 3: how it is. You don't want, The content is just
- 4:46Speaker 3: to go away. I'm super proud of it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah. So I put it out there.
- 4:49Speaker 4: It's great.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Was it when you guys taped it? Come here. Simone, come.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Come on up. Good girl. When you guys taped it,
- 4:55Speaker 1: how many tapings did you do? I did two.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Yeah? Two in one night. I did the Paramount in Huntington,
- 5:00Speaker 3: Long Island. And it was fun, man. Like it was
- 5:03Speaker 3: the first one, you know, you get a little nervous.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Like it's all. And I wasn't used.
- 5:06Speaker 3: The jib almost knocked me out like four times because
- 5:08Speaker 3: I'm very physical on stage running around, you know. So
- 5:11Speaker 3: I ran to like the side and the jib was
- 5:12Speaker 3: like right there.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I almost got like knocked out, but it was good.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It was really cool. Yeah. And the jib is like
- 5:17Speaker 1: the camera. That's the camera that's on the arm. Yeah. Oh,
- 5:21Speaker 1: you forget, right? That's for everybody at home. Yeah. Just
- 5:23Speaker 1: because some people don't know, you know, some people don't
- 5:25Speaker 1: know what's going on.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 1: There you go. Right there. That's it. Yeah. Did some
- 5:31Speaker 1: of the other jokers come out?
- 5:33Speaker 3: Uh, yeah, they came to, uh, the taping. Um, Sal
- 5:36Speaker 3: came to the late taping, I think. And then the next,
- 5:38Speaker 3: I was working that week and then in queue came
- 5:40Speaker 3: out and stuff.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But yeah, it's good. They come and see me. We,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I see them when they're on the road. It's, it's fun.
- 5:44Speaker 1: We try to give each other the support. You know
- 5:46Speaker 1: how it is. Have you gone to one of their shows? Like, cause,
- 5:49Speaker 1: cause you don't, do you still do the touring show
- 5:51Speaker 1: with them or no? No.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Right.
- 5:52Speaker 1: No.
- 5:52Speaker 3: So I did, they just wrapped up their last tour
- 5:55Speaker 3: and I came out on stage there.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And then when they did radio city, I popped out.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That was really fun. That's cool. When I came to
- 6:01Speaker 1: Radio City, it was so cool. It was really great.
- 6:02Speaker 1: The place exploded. Wow. It was really nice. Have you
- 6:06Speaker 1: missed that aspect? Because they just came out with their last,
- 6:08Speaker 1: the 11th season, right? Of their show? Yeah. Of Jokers?
- 6:12Speaker 3: Yeah, they're doing that now. They just wrapped shooting that one.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I think they got another one. But yeah, I mean,
- 6:18Speaker 3: you know, you're missing it. You're missing with your friends.
- 6:19Speaker 3: The hardest part for me is like, it's appointment friendship now, right?
- 6:22Speaker 3: Like you got to think about like, you used to
- 6:24Speaker 3: see each other all the time. And now it's like,
- 6:26Speaker 3: you know, like I feel like I, you know, I
- 6:27Speaker 3: haven't seen you in for it. Right. And when you
- 6:29Speaker 3: see them, it's like, they're working together or doing something.
- 6:31Speaker 3: You're trying to find a time together. So that gets
- 6:33Speaker 3: a little tricky.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah. You know?
- 6:34Speaker 3: So, but everybody always asks, you still friends? I always
- 6:37Speaker 3: tell people, no, I hate those guys. Like, I'll just
- 6:39Speaker 3: say stuff to mess with people.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Like, do you like them? I'm like, no, we don't
- 6:42Speaker 1: talk anymore. I was saying for a while that salad
- 6:44Speaker 1: slept with my wife. That's why it was so fun.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He's like, dude, you got to stop saying that. Someone's
- 6:50Speaker 1: going to believe you.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 1: But yeah, it's a, it's good. We're still, we're still boys.
- 6:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Just trying to see each other gets a little tricky.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think that just gets trickier as you get older too.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Like just being an adult, it's like everything gets like
- 7:01Speaker 1: more appointment. That's why I miss like, I it's like,
- 7:05Speaker 1: you never know when you're in like high school and
- 7:07Speaker 1: college and stuff like that, that those are going to
- 7:09Speaker 1: be like the greatest times because everybody is just there.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Everybody's you're going to bump the bump into factor of
- 7:17Speaker 3: a college campus, right?
- 7:18Speaker 1: You might just bump into somebody on the way to
- 7:20Speaker 1: the calf or something. Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 3: That's totally different. Cause you're all enclosed, like a community.
- 7:23Speaker 3: It's like a cult almost like you're living on this,
- 7:26Speaker 3: you know, the stockade. Yeah, dude, that's one thing it's like,
- 7:31Speaker 3: but you don't realize that when you're there. Like I
- 7:32Speaker 3: remember whenever I was like graduating high school or whatever,
- 7:35Speaker 3: I was like, thank God I'm graduating. But then you
- 7:37Speaker 3: don't realize that like 10 years later, you do anything
- 7:40Speaker 3: to go back and have one big full day of
- 7:42Speaker 3: high school.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure.
- 7:43Speaker 3: You're, but there was some people who were looking forward
- 7:45Speaker 3: to getting rid of too.
- 7:46Speaker 1: That was the bad part, right? That's the other side
- 7:47Speaker 1: of it. Like, you're like, I cannot wait till I
- 7:49Speaker 1: don't have to see this person again. Like the ROTC
- 7:51Speaker 1: guys were really at our school were very, they kind
- 7:55Speaker 1: of acted like they were like a gang sort of
- 7:57Speaker 1: or whatever. You know, like those guys with the wooden guns,
- 7:59Speaker 1: you'd see them after school or whatever.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And they wouldn't even have like the part of the
- 8:03Speaker 1: gun that like had the bullets in or something. It's
- 8:06Speaker 1: like a glorified stick. Yeah, dude. Yeah. It was the
- 8:10Speaker 1: right shape of a stick. Yeah. And they would be
- 8:12Speaker 1: running through the halls, like, yeah, like yelling different quadrants
- 8:16Speaker 1: at each other and shit. Doing this stuff and signaling.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You're like, guys, I'm getting to algebra. Get out of
- 8:21Speaker 1: my way. Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I didn't, uh, we didn't have RTC at our school,
- 8:25Speaker 3: but we definitely had, um, different clicks.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Cause I went to an all boy Catholic high school.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So all boy school definitely had like a different type
- 8:33Speaker 3: of like click set up kind of thing where you
- 8:35Speaker 3: had your jocks and your, mathletes which i was a
- 8:38Speaker 3: proud leader of were you yeah yeah math guy yeah
- 8:41Speaker 3: so i was like geeky but i was a bowler
- 8:42Speaker 3: we talked about this just quickly i'm uh i was
- 8:45Speaker 3: on the bowling team and stuff so it was like
- 8:46Speaker 3: a different thing but then humor like once once people
- 8:50Speaker 3: found you were funny in high school and you're what
- 8:51Speaker 3: all dudes i think it's a different thing i think
- 8:54Speaker 3: it's like oh you know and then people like want
- 8:56Speaker 3: to be around you and having fun so once my
- 8:58Speaker 3: humor started coming out it was a different animal That
- 9:01Speaker 3: was so much fun.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Dude, being funny. And I, that was like the, yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I think that's what it was too. Cause you always
- 9:07Speaker 1: had an audience around. You always had like, everybody was
- 9:11Speaker 1: right there. So you could make so many jokes and
- 9:13Speaker 1: references and like, you'd see each other in the hallway
- 9:16Speaker 1: in between classes. And that was the weirdest thing. Cause
- 9:18Speaker 1: you had like one second where you were passing your
- 9:21Speaker 1: buddy in the hallway and you got to this drive by. Yeah.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I was known for Pratt fallen in high, in high school. So,
- 9:29Speaker 3: I used to pratfall into my Spanish class every day.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And Mrs.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Lonzo, my teacher, always thought it was this guy, Mike Irving,
- 9:34Speaker 3: that was tripping me. And she would always give him
- 9:36Speaker 3: detention on it. And he was like, dude, you have
- 9:38Speaker 3: to stop.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Stop. It wasn't me. And I was like, oh, he
- 9:40Speaker 1: tripped me. You know, like that. So when I got
- 9:42Speaker 1: my diploma, my mom knew that I was big.
- 9:44Speaker 3: And my mom was always like, you know, you have
- 9:45Speaker 3: to be respectful. So I'm getting my diploma. And everybody's like, trip, trip, trip.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Like they all want me to fall on stage. And
- 9:52Speaker 3: my mother like threatened my life.
- 9:53Speaker 1: She's like, if you trip on stage, you're done. You're done.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I was like, all right, I can't make my mom mad.
- 9:57Speaker 3: So I don't get it. then I surprisingly get an award.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I got an award.
- 10:01Speaker 3: They were like, they were giving out these awards and
- 10:02Speaker 3: one of them was, you know, some of the, and
- 10:05Speaker 3: I look at my father and he goes, and I
- 10:07Speaker 3: went up and I went, when I went to get
- 10:08Speaker 3: the award on stage, I bit it and I like
- 10:11Speaker 3: fell off the stage.
- 10:11Speaker 1: The place went absolutely nuts. It was so funny. I
- 10:14Speaker 1: was like, that's the reason why I won that award.
- 10:16Speaker 1: So I could have my moment. Yeah. That's class, bro. Yeah, yeah.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I love that. That shit was so much fun, man. Yeah,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you think about just– do you have friends from high
- 10:26Speaker 1: school anymore? Yeah, yeah. That you keep in touch with? Yep.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I still got actually a pretty decent amount. I've always
- 10:32Speaker 1: done a good job of like trying to call and
- 10:33Speaker 1: connect every now and then and just see what's up
- 10:36Speaker 1: with folks, but– or definitely from high school. Yeah, so
- 10:39Speaker 1: I keep in contact pretty decently with some of them.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Who's your oldest friend? My buddy. Do you have somebody
- 10:44Speaker 1: like from– My buddy Scott from where we was like
- 10:47Speaker 1: in second grade or whatever.
- 10:49Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 10:49Speaker 1: This went to his wedding. He had a destination wedding. Oh, yeah.
- 10:54Speaker 1: We're on the same page. You mean a forced vacation
- 10:57Speaker 1: for you? It is.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Yeah. And then some people can't be there, you know,
- 11:04Speaker 1: and then they feel bummed out about it. For sure.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Because somebody had to miss it. And then both people
- 11:08Speaker 1: feel bad. Yeah. There's two different, you know, schools of
- 11:11Speaker 1: thought about it, you know, but. Because the other school
- 11:13Speaker 1: of thought is what?
- 11:14Speaker 3: Like it's like you're making a memory for everybody that
- 11:16Speaker 3: can make it. And you're making it more of like
- 11:18Speaker 3: an event and you're spending your money. You might as
- 11:19Speaker 3: well get this big memory out of it instead of
- 11:21Speaker 3: being at a, you know, a hall in Queens, you know,
- 11:26Speaker 3: and spend all this money. But for me, I, we
- 11:29Speaker 3: almost did it, but I just, at the end of
- 11:32Speaker 3: the day, I feel like it's a lot, it's a
- 11:33Speaker 3: big ask.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Did you ever renew your vows? So after
- 11:37Speaker 1: we got back together, my wife and I, we were
- 11:39Speaker 1: thinking about doing that. And then we just- Did you
- 11:41Speaker 1: guys get divorced or no? No, we just got separated.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You got separated. Separated for two years. And then- Oh, wow.
- 11:45Speaker 1: It's a long time. Yeah, it's a long time. Yeah.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Wow.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I had never lived alone. So- I was 47 years
- 11:52Speaker 3: old for my first time living alone in an apartment.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Did you get an apartment? An apartment. Yeah. No, if you, look,
- 11:57Speaker 1: if you and your wife get separated, you have to
- 11:58Speaker 1: get an apartment. You gotta get an apartment. You can't
- 12:00Speaker 1: get a house. You can't get a house, no. You're
- 12:01Speaker 1: in the, you're in the tension.
- 12:03Speaker 3: No, that's, you're like, you're getting there. No, that's what,
- 12:04Speaker 3: that was actually the reason kind of like why we
- 12:07Speaker 3: got back together was I had put a bid in
- 12:10Speaker 3: on a house because it was like, okay, this is
- 12:13Speaker 3: not happening.
- 12:13Speaker 1: And I was like, I'm a grown man. I'm not
- 12:14Speaker 1: going to live in this apartment. I needed a yard.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I had my dogs.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I'm like, I just didn't want, There was a fire
- 12:19Speaker 3: drill in my building. I'm outside at 1130 in my robe.
- 12:21Speaker 3: And so I.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Was like, are you Joe from Impractical? I'm like, get
- 12:24Speaker 1: the hell out. This is my life right now. So
- 12:26Speaker 1: I was like, yeah. So I put a bid on
- 12:27Speaker 1: a house and I didn't get it.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Could you imagine you're going to the fire drill of
- 12:31Speaker 3: your building and Joe is there in his bathrobe?
- 12:35Speaker 1: With how many dogs? Two dogs in my arms. Like
- 12:38Speaker 1: Cruella Joville? You're just out there with a fucking million pups?
- 12:41Speaker 1: So it was like, yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 3: So it was rough. So then I put a bid
- 12:45Speaker 3: on a house and I didn't get it. And then
- 12:47Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I had to look at another house.
- 12:48Speaker 3: And I said to her, I was like, oh, what about,
- 12:49Speaker 3: I was like, I'm looking at this house. It wasn't
- 12:51Speaker 3: too far from the kids. And she just went, do
- 12:53Speaker 3: you want to get back together? And I just instantly,
- 12:55Speaker 3: I just went, yeah, do you?
- 12:56Speaker 1: And she goes, yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 3: And that was the first time we said it out loud.
- 12:58Speaker 3: We both weren't thinking we were going to. We reflected
- 13:01Speaker 3: on it after. And it was just that moment. And
- 13:03Speaker 3: we just, we were in a, I was doing a
- 13:05Speaker 3: dog event in the city and we were waiting in
- 13:06Speaker 3: a hotel room for the dogs to be ready.
- 13:08Speaker 1: She was napping. I was working. And then we just
- 13:10Speaker 1: started talking for like four hours. Wow. And I said, okay,
- 13:13Speaker 1: let's give it a couple months. I'm not going to
- 13:14Speaker 1: move back home.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Let's make sure it sticks. Make sure we want to
- 13:15Speaker 3: do it. And it did, it all worked out. So
- 13:18Speaker 3: then I came back home. But living alone was like
- 13:20Speaker 3: so weird. I didn't even like hang stuff on the walls.
- 13:22Speaker 1: It was so sad. It was like those white, freshly
- 13:25Speaker 1: painted sheet rock.
- 13:26Speaker 3: You know, like I hung like one picture and then
- 13:28Speaker 3: I was like, I don't even know if I like
- 13:30Speaker 3: that there.
- 13:30Speaker 1: You know, it was just like, it felt like you
- 13:31Speaker 1: had to.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Went on Wayfair and I bought a bunch of like
- 13:34Speaker 3: discount furniture and I go to the houses, all the
- 13:36Speaker 3: nice furniture.
- 13:40Speaker 1: You're like, hey, at least let me come back and shower.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You get that good loofah. wow and what did you
- 13:47Speaker 1: right after you guys decided okay we're gonna do that
- 13:49Speaker 1: did y'all go eat somewhere or.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Something we did we had dinner that next uh that
- 13:52Speaker 3: well we always I always went to the house for
- 13:54Speaker 3: dinner the kids didn't know any sort of disruption so
- 13:57Speaker 3: that was always good I was always at the house
- 13:58Speaker 3: having dinner family dinner I was always still very involved
- 14:01Speaker 3: the kids didn't really know anything because at the time
- 14:03Speaker 3: they're nine and seven now so they were between you
- 14:06Speaker 3: know six and eight or whatever and the next night
- 14:09Speaker 3: we went to one of our favorite restaurants in town
- 14:11Speaker 3: uh and we just had a nice date night and
- 14:15Speaker 3: it was nice and then We went away, just the
- 14:17Speaker 3: two of us, and for a night up at this
- 14:20Speaker 3: farm in upstate.
- 14:21Speaker 1: New York and just all worked out. You know, it
- 14:23Speaker 1: was a lot of conversations. Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 3: A lot of hard stuff you got to talk through,
- 14:26Speaker 3: a lot of forgiveness and talking about, you know. I
- 14:30Speaker 3: think the biggest thing always is in any relationship, you always,
- 14:32Speaker 3: especially with your significant other, you always think it's your
- 14:34Speaker 3: soulmate and you know what they're thinking and you just don't.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Like people, as well as somebody, you just have to
- 14:39Speaker 3: say it. So we just started talking and it just
- 14:41Speaker 3: opened up everything, you know.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Dude, the craziest thing is how hard it is to
- 14:45Speaker 1: say stuff, even if like you're with the person you're married.
- 14:48Speaker 1: It's like, and they would rather you probably say it
- 14:51Speaker 1: so you can get to the next part. But we
- 14:54Speaker 1: just hold the fucking words. Yeah. And then you get
- 14:56Speaker 1: mad that they don't know what you're thinking. That was
- 14:58Speaker 1: the funniest thing.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I used to say that to her all the time.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I said, you get mad because I don't know what
- 15:00Speaker 3: you're thinking. I have no, I'll admit, I don't know
- 15:03Speaker 3: what you're thinking.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I'll never know.
- 15:05Speaker 3: So that's like the biggest thing I found in relationship
- 15:07Speaker 3: is really, as we started to like get through it again,
- 15:09Speaker 3: it's like.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Just say, What are you feeling? Life's too short, man.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Just say what you're feeling. Yeah. Just say, I wish
- 15:14Speaker 1: your legs were longer.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Longer.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Just get longer legs. How'd you know?
- 15:17Speaker 3: Did she tell you that was the thing? She's like, Joe,
- 15:19Speaker 3: I wish you were five. I wish you were six foot, man.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You got longer legs.
- 15:25Speaker 1: No, I, yeah, I don't know. I mean, that shit's
- 15:27Speaker 1: all this stuff's complicated, man, but that's awesome then. Congrats.
- 15:30Speaker 1: So that feels good then. Yeah. So you got the
- 15:32Speaker 1: family back on track. Got back on track, baby. I'm
- 15:34Speaker 1: a dad. I'm a real dad. Like, which is nice.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I feel really tight with the kids. Good partner.
- 15:39Speaker 3: It's all, it all feels good now. And creatively, I'm
- 15:42Speaker 3: doing everything that's good. It feels nice to be able
- 15:44Speaker 3: to dabble in different stuff.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Oh, your kids came to the special because I saw them.
- 15:49Speaker 1: You give them a hug before you go on stage. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: they gave me the microphone before. Oh, they gave you
- 15:53Speaker 1: the mic. One you gave a hug and one you
- 15:55Speaker 1: gave a high five. Yeah, I gave the high five
- 15:56Speaker 1: to my son. He was super nervous.
- 15:58Speaker 2: He was?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, he's cute. She is like me, dude. She comes
- 16:02Speaker 1: out for a bow. She loves it all. She's all
- 16:04Speaker 1: about it.
- 16:05Speaker 3: My son is a little bit more of a wallflower,
- 16:07Speaker 3: but he really likes to laugh and to make me laugh.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And we do like fun. Oh, there, that's the, that
- 16:12Speaker 1: was a thing. Um, so yeah, that's the kids. So the, uh, yeah, Mark. Yeah.
- 16:19Speaker 3: He's my, he's my tour manager. He's on tour with me,
- 16:21Speaker 3: but then, yeah, this is my, my, my daughter and
- 16:23Speaker 3: my son there. Uh, I gave him a little, Oh, sorry.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I mean, you didn't. Yeah. Yeah. I love my son.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Don't try to, I already see the clip show. I
- 16:32Speaker 1: love his son.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Starting to start your drama. I was trying to remember that.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah, dude.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Jiggy was there. That's awesome. Yeah. He's with me all
- 16:42Speaker 1: the time. He's on my new tour with me. He's
- 16:44Speaker 1: my feature. He comes with me the whole time.
- 16:45Speaker 5: He's great.
- 16:46Speaker 1: He's so funny. He has one of the best stories.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I don't know if he turned it into a show,
- 16:50Speaker 1: into a stage bit. It's like he met a girl
- 16:53Speaker 1: on an airplane, right? So he's on an airplane. He's
- 16:56Speaker 1: sitting next to like this beautiful Brazilian, Brazilian girl. He said,
- 17:00Speaker 1: and like the plane kept getting delayed or whatever. Finally,
- 17:05Speaker 1: they get them all off the plane, and it's like midnight.
- 17:06Speaker 1: They're not going to leave until the next day. And
- 17:09Speaker 1: the girl's like, you can come stay with me or whatever.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Or at least she could have said goodbye in Brazilian.
- 17:15Speaker 1: But that's how he took it. She's like, why is
- 17:19Speaker 1: this guy in my car? He's following her out of
- 17:22Speaker 1: the airport. Her grandmother comes and picks her up, right?
- 17:26Speaker 1: So now they are all– he and this girl he
- 17:30Speaker 1: just met. stay at the grandmother's house and they just had,
- 17:33Speaker 1: it was like a big studio. So they're sleep in
- 17:35Speaker 1: one bed all together. And they watched, um, I can't,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I think they watched saving private rock, which is a
- 17:44Speaker 1: real warming, romantic story.
- 17:46Speaker 3: It's like the house in like Charlie and the chocolate
- 17:47Speaker 3: factory where everybody sleeps in the same room in the
- 17:50Speaker 3: same bed.
- 17:50Speaker 1: It's all the old kid and all the parents.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 1: But grandpa Joe is there. Yeah. Oh, That's hysterical. And then, yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 1: because I think he thought he was going to go
- 17:58Speaker 1: to this kind of romantic night, and then he just
- 18:00Speaker 1: stayed in there all, yeah. And I guess something else occurred,
- 18:04Speaker 1: but it was pretty unbelievable. But, yeah, that story is great.
- 18:07Speaker 1: He met the family already, though.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So that's good, yeah. And they, oh, he said that
- 18:11Speaker 1: they had popcorn, and then, yeah, and then I guess
- 18:14Speaker 1: they all fell asleep or whatever.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Oh, could you imagine being somebody who came home from
- 18:20Speaker 3: work and that's where you see they like, where they
- 18:22Speaker 3: pick up this straggler he came in. He's the best
- 18:25Speaker 3: to go on tour. He's just a bundle of joy
- 18:27Speaker 3: and like energy. He's just so positive and fun. Like
- 18:30Speaker 3: we click really well on that, but he gets like,
- 18:33Speaker 3: we make fun of him because Steve Burns on the
- 18:35Speaker 3: road with us a lot too. And we love to
- 18:37Speaker 3: watch him eat when he's hungry because he literally, if you,
- 18:40Speaker 3: he doesn't know you're watching him.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I'm not even kidding, Theo.
- 18:42Speaker 4: He'll go like, he'll be like excited to eat and
- 18:46Speaker 4: he'll be like doing and he moves his hands and
- 18:48Speaker 4: you just watch him he's just like a little kid
- 18:50Speaker 4: for the first time I'm like apple pie like it's
- 18:52Speaker 4: so funny I'm like dude you're a grown adult man
- 18:55Speaker 4: you have a child like what are you doing.
- 18:58Speaker 1: He gets so excited yeah yeah he's classic man he's
- 19:01Speaker 1: so funny yeah his energy is some of the best
- 19:03Speaker 1: energy to be around yeah for sure for sure yeah
- 19:06Speaker 1: what was good oh Dikembe Mutombo died you see that
- 19:10Speaker 1: no did he yeah oh no When? He just died.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Brain cancer.
- 19:16Speaker 3: 58.
- 19:17Speaker 1: That's young. That is young, 58. Maybe it's a Hall
- 19:20Speaker 1: of Fame finger wagging center. Yeah, he did that, remember?
- 19:23Speaker 1: He did the whole thing with the big finger, yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 1: He kind of gave, I wonder if after he did that,
- 19:28Speaker 1: is that when they came out with those finger things
- 19:29Speaker 1: or not?
- 19:30Speaker 3: No, I think those were where number ones.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I think that's where that comes from. Oh, I see.
- 19:34Speaker 3: But I think people started using it as it wasn't intended.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah. This was not for this. This was for this. Yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 1: we're number one. I was like, no, no, no, no. No,
- 19:43Speaker 1: you're not. Yeah. Yeah, dude. He had that. That was wild.
- 19:45Speaker 1: The finger wag, yeah. That's funny that that becomes like
- 19:48Speaker 1: your thing. Yeah. You know? But then you have to
- 19:50Speaker 1: do it all the time. Right. People are waiting for it. Yeah.
- 19:53Speaker 1: People are always like taking photos and people are like,
- 19:55Speaker 1: can you do the- Yeah. Could you do this? Yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 1: It's like me getting yelled Larry.
- 19:58Speaker 3: What do you get asked the most, you think, when
- 20:01Speaker 3: people want to take a picture with you?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Or like when, when people see you, what is like
- 20:05Speaker 1: the thing that they, what's Bobby Lee like? Yeah. So
- 20:08Speaker 1: you get a whole time, right?
- 20:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Tell me about Bobby Lee. Is he real? Is it real?
- 20:12Speaker 1: They'll say, they'll call him an it. And I'm like,
- 20:14Speaker 1: that's crazy. Uh, are they referring to Bobby? I don't know.
- 20:18Speaker 1: A lot of people don't believe in like people of
- 20:21Speaker 1: the Orient, but, uh, and also look at the guy.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I mean, there's, you know, for sure. There's definitely 50
- 20:27Speaker 1: shades of Shezwan right here. So there's a lot going on. Uh,
- 20:32Speaker 1: Then after we got to interview Trump, I get asked
- 20:34Speaker 1: about that a lot too. Oh, yeah, for sure. Just
- 20:35Speaker 1: what it was like to be there or something. We
- 20:37Speaker 1: got to go up to Bedminster, New Jersey. That was
- 20:39Speaker 1: nice up there.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I talked to you when I saw you.
- 20:42Speaker 3: There was just the rumblings that you might have been
- 20:43Speaker 3: able to sit with him. And I think you told
- 20:44Speaker 3: me you were like, dude, it's crazy. I might be
- 20:46Speaker 3: able to do it. So that had to be a
- 20:48Speaker 3: wild experience.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it was crazy. That took a long time to
- 20:50Speaker 1: come together, I imagine. It wasn't like a... It was
- 20:52Speaker 1: kind of on and off and then it was just on.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:55Speaker 1: You know? But it was definitely interesting. Don't think I
- 20:59Speaker 1: didn't notice you put on a suit jacket. Thanks, dude.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You can throw on a jacket. Yeah, I appreciate it.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I think it's been at two funerals and one presidential interview, brother.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I'll tell you that, dude. It's a famous jacket, man.
- 21:12Speaker 1: It's on its way up, brother. Here you go. Yeah,
- 21:14Speaker 1: Dikembe had that thing. Dude, what finger is used for
- 21:17Speaker 1: different stuff the most, do you think? This is for... Yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 1: this is always good and this is always bad, right?
- 21:22Speaker 1: This is good, this is bad. This one is.
- 21:25Speaker 3: So yeah, this is bad. This is never good. This
- 21:28Speaker 3: could be bad with a thumbs down.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah. I think every finger has a personality. Kind of,
- 21:32Speaker 1: for sure. Yeah, right?
- 21:33Speaker 3: So you could use this for that. This is probably
- 21:36Speaker 3: the most useless, right?
- 21:37Speaker 1: The ring finger.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Well, unless you- When you were a little kid, this
- 21:40Speaker 3: became a big, because you'd be like, I'm not giving
- 21:41Speaker 3: you the finger.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Oh, that's true, huh? You would hide it. Yeah, you
- 21:44Speaker 1: hide it like, oh, I'm just kidding. But this one
- 21:45Speaker 1: is also the ring finger, so it also is like
- 21:48Speaker 1: the- Signifies, yeah. Yeah. Someone has claimed you. Yeah, you're
- 21:51Speaker 1: locked in. Or you've been claimed. Yeah, you're owned. Yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 1: this- This is for hitchhiking, too, used to be. Hitchhiking.
- 21:57Speaker 1: The thumb is the most versatile, I think. Hitchhiking. You're
- 22:00Speaker 1: the best. Kill them. Kill them.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Murder.
- 22:02Speaker 3: This is a murder indicator.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Straight murder. What are we doing here? Yeah.
- 22:07Speaker 3: This is the first thing I taught my kids, by
- 22:08Speaker 3: the way. That was a parenting hack I heard from somebody.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Thumbs up.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Teach your kids. Because a lot of times your kids
- 22:13Speaker 3: are far away if they're scared or something. Teach them
- 22:15Speaker 3: to give you a thumbs up if they're okay or
- 22:17Speaker 3: a thumbs down if they're not. because if you can't
- 22:19Speaker 3: see them, you know, if you only see them, you
- 22:20Speaker 3: can't hear them. So I had my daughter on top
- 22:22Speaker 3: of like this huge slide down where I was by
- 22:24Speaker 3: a playground. And I was like scared for her life.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I'm like, okay. And she was like, and then she
- 22:28Speaker 1: went and I was like, okay, crazy. Yeah. Oh, and
- 22:30Speaker 1: then you do this thing, right? This thing. That means
- 22:32Speaker 1: help me. I'm being, I'm taking called Liam Neeson.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Right.
- 22:34Speaker 1: That means like, that's what that means.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yeah. This is like, this is the thing. Like if
- 22:37Speaker 3: somebody goes, yo, there's like the wink back in the day,
- 22:39Speaker 3: like something's up.
- 22:40Speaker 1: If somebody does this to me, I'll wave it back.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm like, you're so cute. Yeah. It's like a puppet show. Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 1: I'm leaving, dude. Dang, brother. Yeah, I can't believe that, man.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I can't believe that we only get five fingers.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Have you ever been so mad that you double-barreled somebody
- 22:57Speaker 3: with a double, like, F-U? Like, that's a different level
- 23:00Speaker 3: of getting somebody angry, that they're like, I need both hands.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Well, if you do this, this, and then you're erect, too,
- 23:05Speaker 1: if you hit them with that. I've only done that once.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I don't like to talk about it. These are just predecessors,
- 23:12Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? Then it's the big finale. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: then it's the big finale. Yeah, the double guns, I
- 23:17Speaker 1: call that, right? I wonder if in every culture that
- 23:19Speaker 1: means– if every culture, people, that's like world like all over.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Like if you were in like the jungles of Zimbabwe
- 23:26Speaker 1: or something and you saw it and you were angry
- 23:28Speaker 1: at some dude, some guy popped out and surprised you.
- 23:30Speaker 1: He thought you were a– like a– A warthog. Yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 1: a warthog or something. He tries to stab you with
- 23:35Speaker 1: his stick or whatever, and you'd be like, ah. You
- 23:37Speaker 1: didn't get me. And then he high-fives it. You're like, wait,
- 23:40Speaker 1: what does this mean? It's good? He's like, got you?
- 23:42Speaker 1: The high-five and stuff, too, like all those gestures, they
- 23:44Speaker 1: all come from somewhere, which is so weird, right? The
- 23:47Speaker 1: high-five is kind of crazy. If a dude was like, hey, man. Yeah.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Hit it. That was good. That was good.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Just smack my hand. Just smack my hand. Because that
- 23:57Speaker 1: feels not even that cool. Yeah. Just the way we
- 24:00Speaker 1: did it now felt weird, right? Yeah, because it was
- 24:03Speaker 1: very soft. You got to really do it. Glenn Burke,
- 24:06Speaker 1: a former outfielder for the Los Angeles Daughters, is credited
- 24:10Speaker 1: with inventing the high five during a game against the
- 24:12Speaker 1: Houston Astros October 2, 1977. Wow. So I'm only one
- 24:17Speaker 1: year older than the high five. Wow. When he ran
- 24:20Speaker 1: toward home plate and raised his hand to greet a
- 24:22Speaker 1: teammate who had just rounded the base after a home run. Wait,
- 24:25Speaker 1: so why did they give it to him?
- 24:25Speaker 3: Who's the teammate? Because he just had his hand up.
- 24:27Speaker 3: He was just doing a... Hand in the air. The
- 24:29Speaker 3: guy who high-fived Glenn Burke. Oh, is Glenn Burke the
- 24:32Speaker 3: guy that did it?
- 24:32Speaker 1: That's crazy. One guy was a white supremacist, and then
- 24:35Speaker 1: he came by and said, you know what? He ran
- 24:37Speaker 1: into it. He was waving to his grandmother in the stands.
- 24:39Speaker 1: He's like, hey, mom. He's like, hey, your wife's for so-and-so.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Let's do it. Let's make it happen. That's crazy. That
- 24:46Speaker 1: is crazy. The high-five, dude. Yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 3: The fist bump, it seems. Do you ever get the
- 24:50Speaker 3: aggressive fist bump where somebody just fights your fist? They
- 24:52Speaker 3: don't know how to, they just punch you in the hand.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Cause like you meet a lot of people, right? You
- 24:56Speaker 3: don't always want to be touching people and stuff, right?
- 24:57Speaker 3: You're like, oh, fist bump.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Sometimes you'll do fist bump if it's a lot of people.
- 24:59Speaker 1: And then people just come at you and hit you hard.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Like they just punch your hand. Or yeah, sometimes people
- 25:03Speaker 1: will keep pushing against your hand. Push your back.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Are you trying to move me? What am I doing?
- 25:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 1: But yeah. And also people have, a lot of people
- 25:10Speaker 1: have sweaty, wet hands now. Yeah. It's a thing. Oh,
- 25:14Speaker 1: it's gotten way worse. And when I was a kid,
- 25:16Speaker 1: everybody's hands were dry, right? Like, you know, sometimes you'd
- 25:19Speaker 1: see like some facial sweat or somebody with like, who
- 25:22Speaker 1: never shaved their neck. They'd have like a lot of
- 25:24Speaker 1: sweat and hair on their neck or whatever, but you
- 25:27Speaker 1: didn't see people's hands just, you know, shopping. Yeah.
- 25:31Speaker 3: The worst is when you're done with it. Now, this
- 25:33Speaker 3: is your sweat that I have on my hand. What
- 25:34Speaker 3: am I going to do with it? Am I going
- 25:35Speaker 3: to ruin my pants? Am I finding a piece of furniture?
- 25:38Speaker 3: Like you have to figure out where to put it.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Yeah. They don't give you any direction. It's like, Hey,
- 25:42Speaker 1: here's some wet. Here's some wet. This is your problem.
- 25:47Speaker 1: This is some wet me that you have to deal with. Yeah.
- 25:50Speaker 1: One little wet me. Dude, somebody said that Pharrell, the singer,
- 25:57Speaker 1: had really dry hands. Dry? Somebody told me that once.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I remember that.
- 26:02Speaker 3: That he wasn't sweaty? Or was it dry to the
- 26:05Speaker 3: fact that you felt it? It was like champagne.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow. Very dry hands. It could be from mixing
- 26:10Speaker 1: those albums or whatever. Gets calluses. Yeah. That could be it.
- 26:14Speaker 1: He works with his hands. Yeah. That's a good point, man.

- 28:56Speaker 1: It's so heartbreaking. I know. I know. I had a
- 28:58Speaker 1: show in Evans that I had to reschedule. Nuh-uh. Did you? Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I got my one off in Savannah and then went
- 29:04Speaker 3: to the Evans one, the place, you know, the power.
- 29:07Speaker 1: They didn't have power in the … theater evans georgia
- 29:10Speaker 1: yeah evans georgia oh.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Yeah it's been it was tough down there and then
- 29:14Speaker 3: uh they were like you know we don't have power
- 29:16Speaker 3: i was like we're not gonna do comedy by candlelight
- 29:18Speaker 3: like what do we have to do we have to
- 29:19Speaker 3: reschedule it so yeah but down there the people are
- 29:24Speaker 3: so like equipped to handle it and be like it's
- 29:27Speaker 3: such a community when stuff like that happens down there
- 29:29Speaker 3: it's crazy like because we were there and there was
- 29:31Speaker 3: people going driving over to be like oh we're just
- 29:33Speaker 3: going to go get.
- 29:34Speaker 1: They had like family and whatnot.
- 29:35Speaker 3: I was talking to somebody at a restaurant and they
- 29:36Speaker 3: were like, we gotta go pick up my aunt. Like
- 29:38Speaker 3: they just like know what to do and they're just
- 29:40Speaker 3: ready for it.
- 29:41Speaker 1: It was. Yeah. People in the South are really dialed
- 29:43Speaker 1: in with their families. You know, being close to your
- 29:45Speaker 1: family is like, it's one of the main things.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:48Speaker 1: You know, and everybody has a truck. Everybody wants to
- 29:51Speaker 1: help out. Everybody has a truck. Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 3: That's so different. You know, down there, everybody's got, he's got,
- 29:56Speaker 3: call Tim. He's got the, you know, cousin Tim's got it.
- 29:58Speaker 1: He's got the truck. People are like, I don't know
- 29:59Speaker 1: one person with a pickup truck in New York.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I don't know one person. People are like, I'll fucking
- 30:04Speaker 1: help out right now. What do you need me to do?
- 30:06Speaker 1: Everybody knows CPR or knows a fireman that says he
- 30:10Speaker 1: knows CPR. And then when he has to prove it,
- 30:12Speaker 1: it's a problem. He's just blown in this guy's face.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I was in a situation where somebody was choking on,
- 30:19Speaker 3: I had to, I jumped into action.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Nuh-uh.
- 30:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Our tour manager, our tour manager had this, we didn't
- 30:26Speaker 1: know he had this. Where we all eating at?
- 30:28Speaker 3: We were, no, we were, he was signing, we were
- 30:30Speaker 3: doing the settlement down at the, we were in the
- 30:34Speaker 3: hotel ballroom. One of the things at the hotel, like
- 30:37Speaker 3: we had a little room and he was signing the
- 30:38Speaker 3: check to pay us for the weekend. And, and he
- 30:41Speaker 3: had had this condition when he coughed, he would lose
- 30:45Speaker 3: his breath and just like pass out.
- 30:46Speaker 1: But we didn't know that. So he started coughing and
- 30:48Speaker 1: he was talking through it, right? So it's me, Sal,
- 30:49Speaker 1: and Murr. And he's coughing.
- 30:51Speaker 3: He's like, and he just goes, and he just shuts down.
- 30:56Speaker 3: And so I'm sitting next to him on one side,
- 30:58Speaker 3: Murr's on the other. And Murr just starts shaking and goes,
- 31:00Speaker 3: this guy's name was Jeff. He's like, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff.
- 31:02Speaker 3: So I hopped up and I was like, all right,
- 31:03Speaker 3: I got to do something. But I didn't do the
- 31:05Speaker 3: high lap. I did like an over the shoulder, like seatbelt.
- 31:08Speaker 3: And I just started like shaking him, trying to wake
- 31:10Speaker 3: him up. Sal ran over and it was at the
- 31:13Speaker 3: Hoyt Sherman, near the Hoyt Sherman Theater. And he ran
- 31:15Speaker 3: and grabbed the phone that was connected to the bell desk.
- 31:19Speaker 1: And he was like, call 911 instead of call 911.
- 31:22Speaker 1: He yelled at the phone. And I'm hugging him. And
- 31:24Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, he just came back to life.
- 31:26Speaker 1: And he's like, ugh.
- 31:27Speaker 3: And I'm over his shoulder, and he goes, did it
- 31:29Speaker 3: happen again? And we're like, what are you talking about, dude? Yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 3: so I had no skills. The only person that had
- 31:34Speaker 3: any skills was Q because he was a fireman, and
- 31:37Speaker 3: he was in bed.
- 31:37Speaker 1: So he couldn't even help. Hey, that's typical fireman, dude.
- 31:41Speaker 1: If there ain't a fire, dude. I'm asleep. Put a
- 31:43Speaker 1: hot dog in my jaw, and I'm going to sleep, dude. Done. Yeah,
- 31:48Speaker 1: so I'm not equipped for any of that emergency stuff. Yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 1: that's scary, dude. We had one time me and my
- 31:54Speaker 1: buddy Scotty, the same guy I was talking about earlier,
- 31:56Speaker 1: we'd eaten some LSD, right? And we were children, man.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And so we went, we got to the Waffle House,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you know, and we were so excited. You know, it
- 32:10Speaker 1: was like 4 a.m. We're at the Waffle House. And
- 32:13Speaker 1: There was, and we were laughing so hard, dude. We
- 32:16Speaker 1: had the giggles so hard. And they had a gay
- 32:21Speaker 1: gentleman working there, right? And we'd never seen a gay gentleman.
- 32:24Speaker 1: We'd heard about it. We'd seen drawings of like a
- 32:27Speaker 1: guy like grabbing somebody's wiener or something. See somebody chisel
- 32:29Speaker 1: that into like a tree or into like a side
- 32:31Speaker 1: of a bridge or something. But we'd never seen like
- 32:33Speaker 1: a gay gentleman. In the wild. Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 1: In the wild, dude. And in the wildest place on earth, bro.
- 32:40Speaker 1: The fucking halfway house that has a waffle maker. you
- 32:43Speaker 1: know so we're in there dude and he's like being
- 32:47Speaker 1: real like he had like as much gay as you
- 32:50Speaker 1: could have inside of somebody like in for his frame
- 32:53Speaker 1: or whatever and you could just see it kind of
- 32:55Speaker 1: bubbling out of his shoulders every now and then you
- 32:57Speaker 1: know and uh we were laughing so hard my buddy
- 33:02Speaker 1: scott like When he laughs, he kind of does like
- 33:05Speaker 1: this choking thing. So the guy thought that my buddy
- 33:08Speaker 1: was choking, dude. So he comes around. To save the day. Yeah.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Starts doing that. My buddy Scott is a little guy.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Starts doing the fucking hammock on him, dude. And I
- 33:18Speaker 1: am laughing so hard. Oh, dude. I'm laughing so hard.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I remember I had to beat my feet against each
- 33:25Speaker 1: other because like just I needed to get more sound
- 33:28Speaker 1: out of it. More energy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dude. Dude.
- 33:32Speaker 1: He fucking seen a gay guy do the Heimlich maneuver.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Bouncing your little friend around? Thinking he's saving the day?
- 33:38Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 1: It was just like Spumoni on your lap, brother. So
- 33:44Speaker 1: that was like a crazy thing that happened, like the
- 33:46Speaker 1: first time anybody ever choked by us or something.
- 33:50Speaker 3: I've seen people successfully do it. And it's so weird
- 33:52Speaker 3: that people don't know.
- 33:53Speaker 1: What to do. Oh, it's beautiful when people do it well.
- 33:54Speaker 1: When people do it well.
- 33:55Speaker 3: When they do it well and a piece of the
- 33:56Speaker 3: chicken bone just comes flying out or whatever. And then
- 33:59Speaker 3: everybody just starts clapping.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Like it's like the plane landed. It's like everybody's like, yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Like that's so weird to take a lap because you
- 34:06Speaker 3: just saved this guy because he didn't chew his filet mignon.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, dude. We had, what was happening? Oh, dude,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I was at a hotel in Hawaii yesterday. And a
- 34:18Speaker 1: guy starts choking at the breakfast bar. And it was
- 34:21Speaker 1: a nice breakfast bar. They had cereal, fruit. Assortment of
- 34:26Speaker 1: different styles of eggs. Scrambled, hard-boiled. Yeah, they had a
- 34:30Speaker 1: couple of... They had those little, the big silver things.
- 34:32Speaker 1: You have to open it up and see what's in it. Oh, surprise.
- 34:35Speaker 1: They want to keep you guessing. Yeah, it's like, aloha,
- 34:37Speaker 1: what do we got here? And then there's like two
- 34:39Speaker 1: of them that just have smoke coming out. There's just
- 34:41Speaker 1: like warm water in it. There's water in it. They're like, oh,
- 34:43Speaker 1: we're bringing it back out. We're bringing the ham out. Yeah,
- 34:45Speaker 1: you're like, I think... I don't think that anything was
- 34:47Speaker 1: ever in here, but they make it look like it was.
- 34:48Speaker 1: You're scooping the water out thinking it's something exotic. Like,
- 34:51Speaker 1: I'm getting out of the water, not water. Oh, God,
- 34:55Speaker 1: I'll have another... Honey, give me another bowl. Give me
- 34:58Speaker 1: a bowl of that pineapple hot water. That's great. So
- 35:02Speaker 1: this guy starts choking and they bring out one of
- 35:06Speaker 1: those like divider things where you just like can divide
- 35:08Speaker 1: a room, you know, with one of those. And they
- 35:10Speaker 1: bring that out because there's like all these tables right
- 35:12Speaker 1: there just eating. And so they bring that out and
- 35:15Speaker 1: one guy keeps eating and people are like, quit fucking eating, dude.
- 35:18Speaker 1: You don't fucking.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Eat in front of a possible death situation.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Like seven feet over. You can hear this guy like
- 35:26Speaker 1: struggling for his life, dude.
- 35:28Speaker 5: Right.
- 35:29Speaker 1: And this guy's chomping on his cornflakes over here. And
- 35:34Speaker 1: Magic Johnson was there, dude. So at a certain point,
- 35:36Speaker 1: and this took a long time, they were trying to
- 35:37Speaker 1: revive the guy. And, um, and so at a certain point,
- 35:40Speaker 1: everybody starts looking at Magic Johnson, like fucking do something.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Magic Johnson. Magic. Yeah. It's in your name. Like just, yeah,
- 35:47Speaker 1: go double dribble on his heart or something. Do that, right?
- 35:50Speaker 1: Cross over his arteries. Do something. You can tell him
- 35:54Speaker 1: you can't fucking pat him on the back in a
- 35:56Speaker 1: special way. Yeah, at least give him a hug or something.
- 35:59Speaker 1: One more assist. And so it got so crazy. And
- 36:03Speaker 1: then nobody would eat, dude, because they were really like, boom,
- 36:06Speaker 1: raging into him and beating on his chest or whatever.
- 36:09Speaker 1: And then finally- They took him out of there. He
- 36:17Speaker 1: didn't make it. I know that. So that was his
- 36:21Speaker 1: last breakfast? It was last breakfast. But at a certain point,
- 36:24Speaker 1: we'd all sat there and then somebody has to- Take
- 36:27Speaker 1: the first bite. And the guy with the cornflakes is,
- 36:30Speaker 1: who's laughing now? I didn't miss a step. I'm ready
- 36:33Speaker 1: to go. Yeah, taking the first bite in that situation
- 36:35Speaker 1: is rough. Yeah. It just broke my heart, man. And
- 36:40Speaker 1: I was like, I told my date, I was like,
- 36:42Speaker 1: we're not doing this. do not eat first. Let somebody else,
- 36:45Speaker 1: let Magic eat first.
- 36:47Speaker 3: I think everybody looks at Magic Johnson in that situation.
- 36:49Speaker 3: And I think ceremoniously, he should be like, let's eat.
- 36:52Speaker 3: It's like your dad at Thanksgiving when he's like, okay,
- 36:54Speaker 3: we could do it. I'm done carving. We could eat.
- 36:58Speaker 3: He puts it out.
- 36:59Speaker 1: But that was crazy, man. So yeah, I mean, it's
- 37:02Speaker 1: crazy because you're in the guy who is Magic himself
- 37:06Speaker 1: and he could do nothing.
- 37:09Speaker 3: I think it would be worse if there was a
- 37:11Speaker 3: real magician there like if David Blaine was there and
- 37:14Speaker 3: they're like dude make the chicken bone and his throat
- 37:16Speaker 3: disappear like make it come out behind his ear or
- 37:19Speaker 3: something you know.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Keep pulling those rags out until there's a piece of
- 37:22Speaker 1: chicken in the end that's right at the.
- 37:23Speaker 3: End he's got the bone coming out right yeah I
- 37:25Speaker 3: think that'd be tough.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Yeah dude that flooding stuff makes me so sad and
- 37:31Speaker 1: it doesn't seem like there's much you can do you
- 37:32Speaker 1: can donate right like I reached out to a couple
- 37:35Speaker 1: of friends to find ways to like do a type
- 37:38Speaker 1: of event or something because it looks like it's really
- 37:40Speaker 1: bad yeah yeah they got Came in hard. Came to
- 37:44Speaker 1: the coast, the other side too, right? It came in. Asheville,
- 37:47Speaker 1: North Carolina. I mean, look how beautiful that area is too. Yeah. Man.
- 37:53Speaker 1: And they had alligators too. Did you see those? I've
- 37:56Speaker 1: seen an alligator, yeah. Yeah? But did you see them
- 37:58Speaker 1: at this? I haven't seen them there, no. There we go.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Alligator surprised you with a hurricane.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Like it's not bad enough. Now you're going to have
- 38:05Speaker 3: alligators rolling up to your porch?
- 38:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, that's tough, man.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 38:16Speaker 1: That's a damn gator, baby. Well, and they had two
- 38:21Speaker 1: alligators at the mall too they found by like an
- 38:23Speaker 1: Aeropostale or whatever. They make them into purses. I have
- 38:26Speaker 1: no idea. But also it's like, I guess alligators never,
- 38:29Speaker 1: the mall, if you're an animal, you never even get
- 38:31Speaker 1: to go to the mall. So this is your one shot.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Like I'm going to go and see what's on the
- 38:35Speaker 1: sale rack. I got these little alarms. I got to
- 38:38Speaker 1: keep myself warm.
- 38:39Speaker 3: The props to this guy for seeing that's an alligator.
- 38:41Speaker 3: I wouldn't have known that was an alligator, right?
- 38:43Speaker 1: That looks just like another piece of debris. I'd have
- 38:45Speaker 1: just gone missing. Yeah, for sure.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: An alligator at the mall. Like you have a really
- 38:50Speaker 1: long medium, you know, I need, you gotta, you have
- 38:53Speaker 1: a tailor. Cause I'm going to need it. Then they
- 38:56Speaker 1: go into Lacoste and they think they get a discount. Like,
- 39:00Speaker 1: my face is all over this place, man. Come on.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Come on, guys. I did a... They can't even get
- 39:07Speaker 1: up to the counter at, like, Panda Express, you know?
- 39:09Speaker 1: Forgot his wallet in the car. He's got to go back.
- 39:12Speaker 1: He forgot his wallet, but then he realizes that his
- 39:14Speaker 1: tail's made out of wood. See an alligator trying to
- 39:18Speaker 1: get on the escalator? That'd be a good time. Wiggle
- 39:23Speaker 1: it out. Takes up 16 steps. Yeah, alligators are crazy.
- 39:27Speaker 1: And we're joking, guys. Obviously, there's a lot of people
- 39:29Speaker 1: that are struggling. over there, but just trying to bring
- 39:31Speaker 1: some laughter to it. For sure. That's the worst. Have
- 39:34Speaker 1: you been involved in a big trap? It's like a
- 39:35Speaker 1: tragic environment like that. Like where did you guys, were
- 39:38Speaker 1: you guys in, in New York or during 9-11? Yeah. Yeah.
- 39:41Speaker 3: I live in Staten Island during the time, but I was,
- 39:44Speaker 3: you know, New York came together in a way that
- 39:45Speaker 3: day there for sure.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Yeah. I think 9-11 is, the closest I've come to
- 39:51Speaker 1: some sort of tragedy like that. Yeah.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Um, it's always tough, but I, I do find always,
- 39:57Speaker 3: and I, I, people always say this, you know, people
- 39:59Speaker 3: come together when it's that, like, I find that so true.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Don't you?
- 40:02Speaker 3: About like human nature shines brightest when it's tragedy, when
- 40:05Speaker 3: it's wrapped in tragedy. I think people just come together
- 40:07Speaker 3: in a real way and be like, we gotta, we
- 40:09Speaker 3: gotta tackle this thing, you know?
- 40:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Let me help. Let me grill something. Let me help.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I got a truck.
- 40:14Speaker 3: I got a, but even like you said, like you
- 40:15Speaker 3: could donate and all this stuff. I feel like people
- 40:17Speaker 3: just really just like come and do stuff, even if
- 40:18Speaker 3: they're not, there you know what i mean.
- 40:20Speaker 1: It's like just it's really cool that people do that.
- 40:23Speaker 3: And grill it's cool let me go grow more oh
- 40:26Speaker 3: yeah let me get up there is that the thing
- 40:28Speaker 3: too like it's always people send food right even like
- 40:30Speaker 3: in a personal tragedy like i remember when my when
- 40:32Speaker 3: my uh my father passed away And they were like,
- 40:35Speaker 3: people would send food to the house. And my mom
- 40:37Speaker 3: was the one that cooked. She's like, no, I still
- 40:39Speaker 3: got this. But do you know how to like to
- 40:41Speaker 3: pay the electric bill?
- 40:44Speaker 1: So funny. But food is always such a thing of like,
- 40:47Speaker 1: we got to feed these people.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Right.
- 40:49Speaker 1: It's just the thing that people don't want people to
- 40:50Speaker 1: have to worry about. Yeah, that's a good point.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Yeah. It is amazing that the ways that people come
- 40:55Speaker 1: together and help each other, even like when you look
- 40:57Speaker 1: at people donating organs and stuff, you know.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 1: You an organ donor? Yeah, I am. Yeah. Yeah, I
- 41:03Speaker 1: would definitely. I wouldn't do it to somebody. These are
- 41:06Speaker 1: not good. Really? This is a used car. This is
- 41:10Speaker 1: not Lemon Law when it's like, we got you a kidney.
- 41:13Speaker 1: And they're like, from who? And I'm like, ah, shit.
- 41:15Speaker 1: Who else you got?
- 41:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:19Speaker 1: If you put it, if you, if you put your
- 41:21Speaker 1: ear up to the kidney, they can hear a mer
- 41:23Speaker 1: just given one kidney. What to say to the other kidney. Yeah.
- 41:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:27Speaker 3: I think everything is just like, I think if it's
- 41:29Speaker 3: not my eyes, you don't want it. It's like, it's
- 41:31Speaker 3: got a nice set of eyes. Give me his eyes.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 3: The organ donor thing is that's so selfless too, but
- 41:36Speaker 3: that's so smart. If you think about it, like, I mean,
- 41:38Speaker 3: you're not going to use them.
- 41:39Speaker 1: What are you doing? Yeah, what are you going to do?
- 41:40Speaker 1: But then I think part of you wants to always
- 41:42Speaker 1: feel whole. It's like you want to be like, okay,
- 41:45Speaker 1: I want to know that when I'm laying there dying,
- 41:47Speaker 1: I'm still able to like chill or relax or think
- 41:49Speaker 1: or whatever. Right. Because imagine that's the deal. Like you,
- 41:53Speaker 1: that's how it all comes down to it.
- 41:54Speaker 3: You're still thinking you're laying there and you don't realize
- 41:56Speaker 3: it because we don't know what happens.
- 41:57Speaker 1: You're just thinking that some guy just stole your leg
- 41:59Speaker 1: in the back of a college you didn't go to.
- 42:03Speaker 1: This is crazy, dude. It's like, how'd it get there? Yeah.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's crazy. That'd be pretty wild, man. um, yeah. So
- 42:10Speaker 1: with the new tour, will you go to, so now,
- 42:12Speaker 1: now you have to start with the building, the new
- 42:14Speaker 1: material and stuff. Yes. I got the new tour now.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Let's get into it. It's been really fun.
- 42:18Speaker 3: I was, uh, I head off for the summer to
- 42:20Speaker 3: hang out with the fam and the kids and stuff,
- 42:22Speaker 3: which is great. So I finished this in March, the
- 42:24Speaker 3: messing with people tour. And now this new one just
- 42:27Speaker 3: started in September and, uh, it's cool. It's, it's real fun. There's,
- 42:31Speaker 3: you know, as a comic, it's, you're nervous about it.
- 42:33Speaker 3: You're trying to build it and whatnot. But then when
- 42:35Speaker 3: you get what your ideas are, I'm a storyteller. So
- 42:37Speaker 3: I just like figure out what stories I want to tell.
- 42:39Speaker 3: But I'd always talk about sitting alone. Like I was
- 42:42Speaker 3: stuck with my thoughts so much where I was thinking
- 42:43Speaker 3: about how you end up the person that you are.
- 42:45Speaker 3: So my let's get into a tour really is like
- 42:47Speaker 3: about how did you end up like this? Cause I
- 42:49Speaker 3: started as like a real, we were talking like a
- 42:50Speaker 3: geeky kid. Like I used to make tests for my father,
- 42:53Speaker 3: like open up the encyclopedias.
- 42:54Speaker 1: He would come home.
- 42:55Speaker 3: And I would have a multiple choice exam from him
- 42:57Speaker 3: after his 10 hour day trying to sell life insurance
- 43:00Speaker 3: door to door.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I'd be like pop quiz, bitch, get out of here,
- 43:03Speaker 1: you know, like that. And now I'm this.
- 43:05Speaker 3: So I was always thinking about that. So I just
- 43:07Speaker 3: like tell a lot of stories and think about your life.
- 43:09Speaker 3: And it's really, it's been really fun.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I like this one a lot. I like this one. Yeah. Yeah.
- 43:13Speaker 1: It's funny to see how you'll evolve too. And like
- 43:15Speaker 1: how your brain will start to think of things that
- 43:17Speaker 1: are like a little bit more, um, you know, just
- 43:20Speaker 1: more personal or, you know, like how you get out
- 43:23Speaker 1: of just telling jokes and try to like share something,
- 43:26Speaker 1: you know?
- 43:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:27Speaker 1: It's kind of fascinating, I think, how that kind of
- 43:29Speaker 1: works out.
- 43:30Speaker 3: You feel like you share more, I mean, you talk
- 43:34Speaker 3: so much, right? You talk so much with the podcast
- 43:36Speaker 3: and everything, right? Do you feel like, do you think
- 43:39Speaker 3: about after you, because people.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Get to know you in a real way on when you're,
- 43:43Speaker 1: this is you talking.
- 43:44Speaker 3: So do you feel like that you have, people know
- 43:46Speaker 3: you in a way different way than they would like
- 43:48Speaker 3: five years ago if you were just doing standup?
- 43:50Speaker 1: You know, does this podcast open up a completely different part, right? Yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I think so. Cause we talk about a lot of,
- 43:56Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, we, cause sometimes we talk about stuff
- 43:59Speaker 1: that's personal or like, you know, I was kind of
- 44:01Speaker 1: like a late bloomer, I think in dealing with like
- 44:03Speaker 1: a lot of stuff from when I was young. And
- 44:05Speaker 1: so I didn't even know that I had still had
- 44:08Speaker 1: to deal with, you know, I didn't even know what
- 44:09Speaker 1: was going on. So I think I've learned about a
- 44:12Speaker 1: lot of that stuff, like even it's like in the
- 44:14Speaker 1: past five years. And so we'll probably try to share
- 44:17Speaker 1: kind of like candidly or, Sometimes you're talking and you
- 44:19Speaker 1: just learn something as you're talking. So like things like
- 44:22Speaker 1: that have happened a pretty good bit because a lot
- 44:24Speaker 1: of times you get busy with work. And then one
- 44:27Speaker 1: of the times that I would sit down and kind
- 44:28Speaker 1: of be with myself was when I was podcasting. So
- 44:32Speaker 1: you just be sitting there sharing and thinking. And then, yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 1: sometimes you kind of get into some stuff that's pretty
- 44:37Speaker 1: personal and then. yeah, people will come up and say, man,
- 44:41Speaker 1: I can relate to this. Yeah, that's a cool part.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Thanks for talking about this or that. I love that.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what's really cool too. But I've always been
- 44:48Speaker 3: associated with a group. So, right, so the past four
- 44:50Speaker 3: years is now just me by myself. So it's a
- 44:52Speaker 3: little different where you're not, you know, your opinions are
- 44:55Speaker 3: like your own or your feelings are like your own
- 44:57Speaker 3: or whatever. You're not like lumped into a category of
- 44:59Speaker 3: just what everybody and you get to, they get to
- 45:02Speaker 3: know me. People who started with fans of like Jokers
- 45:04Speaker 3: are like fans of me, which is, it's really, it's
- 45:06Speaker 3: a cool evolution, which are, I really like.
- 45:09Speaker 1: And you do that.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Was it hard to make that? Was it hard to like,
- 45:13Speaker 1: were there moments where it was like, man, it's tough
- 45:14Speaker 1: to do my own thing or? Yeah.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Yeah. I think the, well, you're part of such a
- 45:20Speaker 1: great legacy. I like, I love that show. It's like
- 45:22Speaker 1: playing with three Tom Brady's and then now you're like, yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 1: I'm going to go be my own Tom Brady. I'll
- 45:29Speaker 1: play flag football. I'll see how I can do.
- 45:31Speaker 3: But I think it's the best part about it was like,
- 45:33Speaker 3: I was part of that. And I don't shy away
- 45:36Speaker 3: from that. Cause you find people like when they talk
- 45:37Speaker 3: to you, like, oh, you know, I love you. And
- 45:39Speaker 3: they're like afraid to talk to me about Jokers, but
- 45:41Speaker 3: I'm like, that's my life. I mean, I'm so proud
- 45:43Speaker 3: of that. You know, it was a decade of my life,
- 45:44Speaker 3: 300 episodes. Like it's not something that I shy away from.
- 45:47Speaker 3: And even in like my standup, the show, I was me.
- 45:50Speaker 3: So if you watch the show and liked me, you're
- 45:52Speaker 3: going to like me when you see me. Cause it's
- 45:53Speaker 3: the same guy. I wasn't being a character. I wasn't
- 45:55Speaker 3: playing an actor. So there's just like some benefits to it,
- 45:57Speaker 3: which is cool. And it's part of my personality, you know?
- 46:01Speaker 3: So I don't mind it, but it is cool to
- 46:02Speaker 3: be able to try different things. You know, like I
- 46:04Speaker 3: want to write a kid's book. I wrote a kid's book.
- 46:06Speaker 3: I wanted, to do the standup thing. You know, I've
- 46:08Speaker 3: been always wanting to be a filmmaker, so I've got
- 46:10Speaker 3: some scripts like, and I never had time for any
- 46:12Speaker 3: of that stuff. Right.
- 46:13Speaker 1: That's cool. Um, is this their last season? Is it?
- 46:16Speaker 3: Uh, I think they are, they're going to go back
- 46:19Speaker 3: into production to finish their last season as of now,
- 46:21Speaker 3: but you never know.
- 46:22Speaker 1: I think they'll make, they might get renewed again. I
- 46:24Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah. But I think they'll let them go
- 46:28Speaker 1: till they don't want to anymore. You know? Yeah. It's like,
- 46:31Speaker 1: it's a, it's just so good. Like why?
- 46:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I mean, some of my first fans were you guys
- 46:35Speaker 1: as fans, you know, from going on the Joker's cruise
- 46:38Speaker 1: and getting to meet people on there. And then like, um,
- 46:40Speaker 1: fans that we'd have for years, you know, and that
- 46:42Speaker 1: still are. So thank you, man. You got it, man.
- 46:44Speaker 1: They're a loyal fandom. They really are. It's cool. Yeah.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I get them come out to the shows. It's funny too.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Cause you see them, they see me by myself now
- 46:50Speaker 1: and they're like, wow, you were really funny. I'm like, thanks. Like,
- 46:53Speaker 1: were you expecting me not to be like, yeah, but it's.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Interesting for people to see you in standup. It's a
- 46:57Speaker 3: totally different, World, by yourself, 60 minutes talking.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, dude. That was the biggest thing for me,
- 47:02Speaker 1: not being on stage with other people. Oh, yeah. You're like,
- 47:05Speaker 1: you just be like, yeah, you take it for a second.
- 47:07Speaker 1: There's nobody there. I got a cough and I'm like,
- 47:10Speaker 1: just look. And sometimes people make you the craziest thing. Dude, this,
- 47:15Speaker 1: somebody made me this. They brought this. Oh, that's unbelievable.
- 47:18Speaker 1: This weekend. It's a real taxidermied rat. That is the record.
- 47:21Speaker 1: That is unbelievable. If you open it up, it's very real.
- 47:25Speaker 1: It was real. Yeah, at one point. That is. That's
- 47:28Speaker 1: super cool, man. Pretty cool, man.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I got somebody who made me– it was very interesting.
- 47:32Speaker 3: He made me and him this weekend. He made us
- 47:35Speaker 3: Funko Pops. But he made himself as well. And it
- 47:38Speaker 3: was me with my biggest fan. He made himself.
- 47:41Speaker 1: And we're both holding teddy bears because my new.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Kid's book, Where's Barry? And he's like, hey, you don't
- 47:45Speaker 3: have one of you with the bear. And I was like,
- 47:47Speaker 3: how did you know I had any? I was like,
- 47:49Speaker 3: I got my Funko Pops. And it was just like, yeah,
- 47:51Speaker 3: he made me see there's a Captain Fatbelly one there
- 47:53Speaker 3: for me in the show that I had pretty famously.
- 47:55Speaker 3: And he made me one, but he made one of
- 47:56Speaker 3: himself and he gave me a two pack. And he's like,
- 47:59Speaker 3: now we can be together. We can be best friends.
- 48:00Speaker 1: I'm like, all right.
- 48:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:02Speaker 1: But it was so cool. I love that. Yeah. That's funny, man.
- 48:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:05Speaker 1: It's funny. All the things like just little things that
- 48:07Speaker 1: people make that are like you talked about on a
- 48:10Speaker 1: show or like moments that affected them or something like that,
- 48:12Speaker 1: you know, it's pretty cool. But even like you're saying,
- 48:15Speaker 1: it's like when people get together, there's a sense of,
- 48:17Speaker 1: you know, when people want to do something for one another,
- 48:19Speaker 1: you know? Like when people want to help out, whether
- 48:21Speaker 1: it's a storm, whatever it is, you know? Yeah, yeah,
- 48:25Speaker 1: for sure. People want to like kind of latch in,
- 48:27Speaker 1: you know? Yeah. But yeah, they gave me that rat
- 48:29Speaker 1: baby and that thing. Wow.
- 48:32Speaker 3: That is insane to think. First of all, to think
- 48:34Speaker 3: of it and then execute that, that's really cool.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I know. And if you can't see it at home,
- 48:38Speaker 1: it's in a little. Like a little, like a. protective
- 48:42Speaker 1: aquarium yeah yeah like a small like eight inch diameter
- 48:47Speaker 1: round aquarium that's about a foot.
- 48:49Speaker 3: High imagine like the brain that they kept for frankenstein
- 48:51Speaker 3: they had that jar it's the same thing so it's got.
- 48:53Speaker 1: A rat and it's got a rat in it and
- 48:55Speaker 1: he's wearing like a fancy gown he has a scepter
- 48:58Speaker 1: has some flowers dude in new york they just put
- 49:02Speaker 1: out um they have a rat problem there yeah you
- 49:05Speaker 1: know yeah you're welcome that's what they get for That's
- 49:09Speaker 1: what they get for fucking being know-it-alls, dude. I'll send more.
- 49:13Speaker 1: You'll send more. You think you got it under control?
- 49:15Speaker 1: Look out. Here come more. I'll send more. So now
- 49:17Speaker 1: they're trying a new tactic against me. The war on rags.
- 49:20Speaker 1: could soon shift from trash to a new target procreation.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Rat birth control could soon roll out in New York City.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Little rat condoms? Yeah. Give me a minute, honey. She's like,
- 49:33Speaker 1: you got a dick like a mouse. He's like, shut up.
- 49:36Speaker 1: I'm a rat. New York City Council on Thursday will
- 49:40Speaker 1: vote on a bill that would introduce rat contraceptives to
- 49:43Speaker 1: the city's rodent fighting arsenal. If the bill passes, city
- 49:46Speaker 1: officials will choose two rat ridden zones to place the
- 49:49Speaker 1: contraceptives and then monitor whether they reduce rat activity. How
- 49:54Speaker 1: did you do that? The pilot program alerts. That's setting
- 49:58Speaker 1: up some voyeurism going on. It's just right outside of
- 50:02Speaker 1: the Kraft cheese plant. The pilot program will last 12 months, dude. Unbelievable.
- 50:10Speaker 1: And now rats are going to be hearing that other
- 50:12Speaker 1: rats are on birth control and go over there and
- 50:14Speaker 1: trying to smash. Yeah, they're going to be like, yeah,
- 50:15Speaker 1: it's no risk rat smashing. It's insane.
- 50:20Speaker 3: I've walked down certain parts of the city and it
- 50:23Speaker 3: looks like the sidewalk's moving.
- 50:24Speaker 1: It's insane. There's just moving. It looks like an ocean.
- 50:30Speaker 1: There's just waves. It's crazy. It's beautiful.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:34Speaker 1: The buildup Flacco's law is focusing on mitigating the risk
- 50:38Speaker 1: of rodenticides on other animal populations like birds. So what
- 50:44Speaker 1: does that mean?
- 50:45Speaker 3: Well, the birds are going to be, it has a
- 50:47Speaker 3: reverse effect on birds. It's like Viagra. So the pigeons
- 50:50Speaker 3: are just going to be pounded away.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Because how do you know what's going to eat it?
- 50:57Speaker 5: Right?
- 50:57Speaker 3: Because if it's just on the floor, like birds are
- 50:58Speaker 3: going to eat it, right? Pigeons eat the same stuff
- 51:00Speaker 3: rats do.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Oh, so they can't poison them because they said other
- 51:03Speaker 1: animals will eat them and those animals, like if owls
- 51:05Speaker 1: it says. Oh, gotcha. So that way they can't poison them.
- 51:08Speaker 1: So they have to try this. They have to try
- 51:09Speaker 1: birth control. Unreal, dude. They don't want to get rid
- 51:12Speaker 1: of the owls. Yeah. So now they're going to be on.
- 51:16Speaker 1: So now big pharma is basically animals are on. Is
- 51:20Speaker 1: your animal in any drugs?
- 51:22Speaker 3: No, no, she's, she's pretty clear. We have some animals
- 51:25Speaker 3: at home, the older ones that are on some, sort
- 51:27Speaker 3: of things and whatnot.
- 51:28Speaker 1: And what do they get on blood thinners or whatever?
- 51:29Speaker 3: They give them, it depends what they have. Trazodone's a
- 51:31Speaker 3: big one for dogs if they're nervous. Like a lot
- 51:33Speaker 3: of dogs, we have a couple of dogs that get
- 51:34Speaker 3: nervous during thunderstorms and whatnot.
- 51:36Speaker 1: It's like a calming thing. You can give it to
- 51:37Speaker 1: them before they fly. She doesn't need it. She's good.
- 51:39Speaker 1: But like some dogs, Trazodone is like a big one. Yeah.
- 51:42Speaker 1: They get that Trazzy in them. I'll pop a little Trazodone, dude.
- 51:45Speaker 1: You feel a little nervous?
- 51:46Speaker 3: Yeah, just take some Trazzy, man. It's so funny because
- 51:50Speaker 3: they get, it like dehydrates them too. So they'll just
- 51:52Speaker 3: be like laying there panting with their eyes half closed
- 51:55Speaker 3: and like you clearly see.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a big one for them. But they get
- 51:59Speaker 1: some kidney medicines, the old ones. All my old ones.
- 52:02Speaker 1: So my rescue is all senior dogs. So I get
- 52:04Speaker 1: them when they're all jacked up. Really?
- 52:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:06Speaker 3: You ever get any of the ones that are in
- 52:08Speaker 3: the wheel to little chariots? Yeah, I got a couple
- 52:10Speaker 3: of Roman soldiers.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Yeah. We said, they're going to live. We're like, no, no,
- 52:14Speaker 1: we're going to make it. We had a couple of those.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Thumbs up.
- 52:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, like Mishkeen. That was my first senior, the
- 52:21Speaker 1: one on the fourth there. One more. Yeah, that one.
- 52:23Speaker 3: So that was my first senior dog and had no
- 52:26Speaker 3: teeth to tongue him out. That dog's not on that
- 52:28Speaker 3: Japanese pill.
- 52:28Speaker 1: That's just how it lives. Yeah, sure. Looks like Biden, dude,
- 52:31Speaker 1: that one. A little. A little bit, yeah.
- 52:33Speaker 3: So that's what was our first senior. But now we
- 52:36Speaker 3: get these seniors and they're all jacked up.
- 52:38Speaker 1: And where do you get them? Do you go meet somebody?
- 52:40Speaker 1: Do you guys meet at like a Howard Johnson's or something?
- 52:42Speaker 1: Like how do you pick them up? Yeah, Panera. Grab
- 52:46Speaker 1: some lunch.
- 52:47Speaker 3: We get them from kill shelters in New York sometimes
- 52:50Speaker 3: or we get owner surrenders. A lot of them have,
- 52:52Speaker 3: when they're this old, Like older people die and nobody
- 52:56Speaker 3: can take care of the dog. It's like, you know,
- 52:58Speaker 3: they've had this dog. So the dog is like 12,
- 53:00Speaker 3: 13 years old. And they're like, could you take it?
- 53:02Speaker 3: So we do a lot of owner surrender work. We
- 53:04Speaker 3: try to find new homes for them.
- 53:05Speaker 1: And your wife likes taking care of them too? Loves it.
- 53:07Speaker 1: She does. That's her thing. She really started it. Oh, really?
- 53:10Speaker 1: That's her day-to-day kind of thing. She like runs it all.
- 53:13Speaker 3: And, you know, we have come together to work it
- 53:16Speaker 3: out now that it's our thing, which is fun.
- 53:19Speaker 1: And do y'all pet every dog every day, you think?
- 53:21Speaker 3: We have volunteers, too, that come and pet them. They
- 53:23Speaker 3: come and pet them, come play with them. We have
- 53:25Speaker 3: an adoption center in town where people come through.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Yeah, right there.
- 53:28Speaker 3: That's the adoption center we just opened up last year,
- 53:30Speaker 3: and people could come through and hang out with the
- 53:32Speaker 3: dogs and pet them a little bit.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 53:34Speaker 3: Yeah, if you ever want to see these, yeah, these
- 53:35Speaker 3: are some of our VIPs right here. So if you
- 53:37Speaker 3: ever want to come through and pet a dog when
- 53:38Speaker 3: you're in New York, buddy, I got you.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Oh, I'll come on. I'll fucking, I'll rub one out, dude.
- 53:43Speaker 1: They're fun, man. I mean, I'll pet the dog. No, no,
- 53:45Speaker 1: we heard you. That was insane, dude. I mean, look.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Is pornography causing a problem in your life? Do you
- 53:53Speaker 1: find yourself watching porno for longer periods of time and
- 53:58Speaker 1: having trouble stopping? Is porn affecting your relationship or dating life? Well,
- 54:05Speaker 1: you're certainly not alone. Watching pornography has become so commonplace
- 54:10Speaker 1: today and oftentimes men use porn to numb the pain
- 54:14Speaker 1: of loneliness, boredom, anxiety, and depression. Shame and stigma prevent
- 54:19Speaker 1: men from talking about these issues and getting help for them.
- 54:23Speaker 1: I want to introduce you to my friend, Steve. Steve
- 54:26Speaker 1: is the founder of Valor Recovery, a program to help
- 54:29Speaker 1: men overcome porn abuse and sexual compulsivity. Steve is a

- 54:38Speaker 1: and spiritual despair of abusing pornography and has dedicated his

- 54:46Speaker 1: an amazing person, and he is a close friend of mine.
- 54:50Speaker 1: I mean that. Valor Recovery helps men to develop the
- 54:54Speaker 1: tools necessary to have a healthier sex life. Their coaches

- 55:16Speaker 1: email them At admin at valorrecoverycoaching.com. Thank you. Dude, I
- 55:24Speaker 1: remember the first time I ever saw a dog inside
- 55:27Speaker 1: somebody's house, right? I was at my buddy Scott's house
- 55:30Speaker 1: and they had a golden retriever came around the corner
- 55:37Speaker 1: in his house, dude. And it was beautiful. It was
- 55:39Speaker 1: one of like the, it had the most beautiful hair
- 55:41Speaker 1: I'd ever seen on a man or woman or anything.
- 55:43Speaker 1: That was it. But it was a long haired. Yep.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Google long-haired golden retrievers. Oh, like the wisps. Yeah, like
- 55:51Speaker 1: it goes back. When they run, it bounces, like those things. Yeah, yeah.
- 55:54Speaker 1: It was like, it had like, it looked like Pam Anderson, dude.
- 55:57Speaker 1: It came out of the water slow. Yeah, it was like,
- 56:02Speaker 1: just shaking its ear off. The droplets slowly flying. I
- 56:05Speaker 1: was like, damn. So you must have been inside the home.
- 56:07Speaker 1: You're like, what the hell is going on? I couldn't
- 56:08Speaker 1: believe what was going on. I was like, where, how
- 56:10Speaker 1: did this, what is this? First of all, this really
- 56:13Speaker 1: beautiful pony, I thought it was. It was pretty big.
- 56:16Speaker 1: And then how did they get it inside? Cause in
- 56:18Speaker 1: our neighborhood, it was just dogs outdoors biting, you know,
- 56:22Speaker 1: just like ruining your fucking birthday. Cause you had to
- 56:24Speaker 1: get stitches or something.
- 56:26Speaker 3: My next door neighbor had a, so we had a
- 56:28Speaker 3: little mutt midnight.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Her name was, she was a mix between a schnauzer
- 56:32Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 56:32Speaker 3: And then my next door neighbors had a full Doberman pincher.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Her name was Ninja and they kept her, they had
- 56:40Speaker 3: to keep her outside. So she had an outdoor pen.
- 56:42Speaker 3: And my dog was like, would go under the fence
- 56:45Speaker 3: and they would like hang out. And he was like afraid,
- 56:48Speaker 3: like there was this huge, like, yeah, like that, like
- 56:50Speaker 3: one of those big, you know, like in the movies,
- 56:52Speaker 3: those big, like German looking, yeah, like those dogs, right?
- 56:54Speaker 1: Like big scare.
- 56:55Speaker 3: And I had this little mutt and they would just
- 56:57Speaker 3: hang out. It was the oddest couple and they hung out,
- 56:59Speaker 3: but they had to keep that dog outside. They didn't
- 57:00Speaker 3: bring him inside. So when Jason came over my house
- 57:03Speaker 3: and my dog was inside, he's like, oh, you get
- 57:04Speaker 3: to play with it, like on the couch. He's like,
- 57:06Speaker 3: this is so weird because you play with his in
- 57:07Speaker 3: the dirt, like in the backyard, you know?
- 57:12Speaker 1: Wow, dude. Yeah, I guess having that much dogs brings
- 57:14Speaker 1: you a lot of joy. The other day I was
- 57:16Speaker 1: sitting at a meeting and somebody's dog came up and
- 57:19Speaker 1: even when I petted it, it makes you feel good. Endorphins, yeah, yeah.
- 57:21Speaker 1: It's great for sure. You don't have a dog? No,
- 57:24Speaker 1: I'm going to get one as soon as I get,
- 57:25Speaker 1: I think after this year coming up, late in the year,
- 57:29Speaker 1: I'll kind of take a break from touring for a
- 57:30Speaker 1: while and then get a nice pet.
- 57:32Speaker 3: If you want a messed up one-eyed one, you call
- 57:34Speaker 3: your boy. I'll take care of you.
- 57:37Speaker 1: And what are some of the tougher things about dealing? Oh,
- 57:39Speaker 1: research has shown that simply petting a dog lowers the
- 57:41Speaker 1: stress hormone cortisol. That's the truth. That's the truth. When
- 57:44Speaker 1: I have her on the road with me, I sleep
- 57:45Speaker 1: so much better. Really? Yeah, for sure.
- 57:47Speaker 3: A new study just came out that I had just
- 57:49Speaker 3: seen too that it was if a dog, hearing a
- 57:52Speaker 3: dog breathe with you is like kind of lowers your,
- 57:55Speaker 3: makes you go into a deeper REM cycle, which is cool.
- 57:58Speaker 1: And I have eight dogs that sleep in my bed,
- 57:59Speaker 1: so I'm in a coma. Wow, bro. You over, like
- 58:05Speaker 1: Joe O.D. Yeah, yeah. I get like three hours sleep
- 58:08Speaker 1: and I'm set for like two weeks.
- 58:12Speaker 3: Wow.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Yeah, they have a lot of people. Oh, benefits of
- 58:15Speaker 1: sleeping with your dog. Decreased sleep, so you don't have
- 58:18Speaker 1: to sleep as much. Eases insomnia. Comfort. Yeah. Promotes theta brainwaves. Wow.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I get them thetas up. Do you? Yeah. Yeah, rush theta. Yep.
- 58:28Speaker 1: And then lowers blood pressure, sense of security. Yeah. Yeah.
- 58:33Speaker 1: warmth come on now they're just fucking.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Now they're just throwing in buzzwords it's like you decrease
- 58:38Speaker 3: as lonely as this yeah because you're not alone you
- 58:41Speaker 3: can sleep with a cat and it'll decrease loneliness so
- 58:43Speaker 3: that's not to do with a dog.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Oh that's beautiful dude yeah i wouldn't like to give
- 58:46Speaker 1: me a couple puffs and do like a little iditarod
- 58:48Speaker 1: or something that's something i'd always love to do an
- 58:50Speaker 1: iditarod with dogs is being the iditarod man yeah because
- 58:54Speaker 1: there's a parade i think the day before the iditarod
- 58:57Speaker 1: look up iditarod parades if you can And all the
- 59:02Speaker 1: dogs go through the town or whatever and you get
- 59:04Speaker 1: to see them all. That's cool. Yeah. And look at
- 59:07Speaker 1: the ones with those blue shoes on. That's mine. Those
- 59:10Speaker 1: are fancy. I think they're sponsored by Nike or something.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I'd have mine and some fucking Yeezys out there. You
- 59:16Speaker 1: know what I'm saying?
- 59:18Speaker 3: When we used to have the dog in the city,
- 59:20Speaker 3: we used to put these little balloons on their feet
- 59:21Speaker 3: because the city's gross. And then you have these dogs
- 59:25Speaker 3: and their paws are like porous. So my dog used
- 59:26Speaker 3: to walk around in these little balloon shoes. They're literally like,
- 59:29Speaker 3: do you do like that?
- 59:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's them, exactly. Oh, that's it. Oh, look at those. What,
- 59:34Speaker 1: those fresh paw balloons? Look at those right there, the
- 59:36Speaker 1: third picture. Yeah, that's it, right? Let's zoom up on
- 59:39Speaker 1: that a little bit. Something to those guys.
- 59:41Speaker 4: He's got them.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Wow, New York Fashion Week. Oh, they did Yeezy-inspired sneakers
- 59:46Speaker 1: for dogs. Wow. Unreal. Some people have too much freaking money.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Too much money, yeah. Yeah, but he said Mark Cuban
- 59:52Speaker 1: on the air. That guy has a crazy amount of money.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Some people are billionaires. Isn't that crazy, dude? That's so nuts.
- 59:57Speaker 1: That's so nuts. Can't even imagine. Yeah. And then how
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: do you even- 5.7 billion is what Google's telling us.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: That's a lot of money. Well, you would think at
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: some point you wouldn't want to try and make any
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: more money.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: I guess.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Right, right, yeah.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: But is it that like, you're just like so good
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: at it that your money's making money?
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Cause people say like, why wouldn't you stop? He's like,
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: I did stop. I'm just, my money's making money. Like,
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: what do you want me to do? You know, it's
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: like out there, like Musk is like, you think he's
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: out there being like, let me clock in.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Like his money is just making money. You know what
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I mean? Yeah. It's not like he just like has
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: to drive over to work in the morning. Bye honey.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I got to get to the office. Like you are
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: the office. You can do whatever you want. Yeah.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Yeah. I think that's a big part of it. That's
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: one of the problems. Well, I'll never have to worry
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: about it. Yeah, I think I felt like you think
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: at a certain point you would just want to do
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: helpful stuff and not make any more money. But then
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I guess if you want to do helpful stuff, you
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: still have to keep making money to do it maybe.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: That's part of the thing. Yeah, I think Bill Gates
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: talked about that, right? When they were talking about the
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: Bill Gates Foundation or whatever. And he was like, people
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: are like, oh, you could just give all your money away.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: He's like, yeah, but what do I do when all
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: my money is given away? I need to make money
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: to give away the money. Like it's part of it all.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: It's just cyclical.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: You got to keep putting money back in the bank
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to give it out. Yeah. Are you a charitable fellow? Yeah,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I think so, man.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: We do. So trying to start a foundation and start
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: doing more charity stuff. Oh, cool. So did you ever
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: do something like that?
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: Well, I started my, for my, my, my nonprofit for
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: the dogs. It's like a real nonprofit. We last year,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: last year we did it.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Oh, sweet. So got a bunch of friends, like a
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: registered one now. So that, that was our thing.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: But I give to like, we, we do a lot
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: of animal, mostly animal stuff. I think I do, but
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: I also work with a couple other foundations in New York, but.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: I like it, but you get tapped a lot to
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: be like the celebrity, like at the events, like you
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: have to, I've hosted so many like things, like you
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: ended up hosting and like doing.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: You know, the charity drives, like the auctioneer and stuff
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: like that. Like Walmart honors for narcolepsy or whatever. It's
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: always crazy shit.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: You're trying to get out there and you have to
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: auction off this, like, you know, this trip to Hawaii
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: for these people. And you run around like auctioning, trying
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: to pit people against each other.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: So it's fun, but.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: I could see that being a cool– that's a cool
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: part of it. I do a lot with– Howard Stern
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: does the North Shore Animal League. That's the big– North
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Shore Animal League? Animal League is on Long Island. It's
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: a big dog foundation there. And they do their cat
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: rescue with them. So I've done a couple events with
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: the dog with them. And it's so funny just to
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: be at these big events.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's– Oh, yeah. And they're– And see as many
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: dogs as you can. So many, yeah. I try not
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: to take them home. Oh, yeah. So cute. Yeah, I
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: think I have a goal I want to like start–
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: like I want to– Well, we want to make kind
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: of like a half house, but I don't know what
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: it's going to be for really, like an addiction place,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: you know? So we started a group that meets online
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: on Tuesday afternoons. That's a Zoom meeting. And it's like
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: intimacy disorders, sex and love, addiction, all kind of stuff
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: like that. But then– It meets online once a week?
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: That's pretty good. And then, I mean, it's awesome. What
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: am I saying? It's pretty good. It's cool. You see
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: guys start to turn their lives around and stuff. That
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: is awesome. Yeah. But then we want to get like,
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: eventually make like a center, you know, but we'll see
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: one step at a time. For sure. For sure.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: Like right now, all the dogs live in my, like
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: at my house.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Like I want to eventually have like a place. A
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: little motel.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I want to, it's definitely like a motel six bed
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and breakfast. Oh yeah. Take over that one in Seattle.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: Did you see that? There's a, somebody made a white house.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Homeless people just making their, Making houses. They're like, literally,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: a lot of them aren't even homeless anymore. They're making houses.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Making their own homes? Just in parks. Yeah, just like, okay.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: Building?
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: We're building a home. Yeah, look at this guy. Built
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: a freaking White House somewhere. Oh, my. Look at that.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Near downtown Seattle, the Soto White House. That's it. He built,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: he made that. This guy built a fucking house. With
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the fence and everything. He lives in there. So it's
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: crazy that suddenly- Get out there and build it and
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: they will come, man. You just do it. You solve
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: your own problem. This guy built his own life. Look,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: he's like, stop filming my house. He came out to
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: get the mail or something. It even has an address
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: on it, number 12. Go back and look at it again.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: He gave himself his own address. If he gets mail there,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: that'd be amazing. What? That is amazing. That's pretty impressive, actually. Oh,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: it's unbelievable. A lot of stuff people are doing. There's
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: so many great- A lot of homeless people have just
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: taken on ways or like they're in between homeless and
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: not homeless, you know what I'm saying? But they're finding
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: like a way to make it work. I mean, there's
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: people building all kinds of like small businesses and stuff
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: that are just out on the street, you know? There's
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: a lot of, the barter ends up, right? It's going back.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: It's taking like a step back inside that community where
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: it's like, you know, help each other out.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll trade you soap for nails or whatever. Something
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: like that, yeah.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Human ones, no, I'm good. Even got some nails, I'm
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: trying to build this White House. Yeah, that's changed a
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: little bit, dude.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's interesting to see how that community like
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: starts- Sticking together.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the same thing, man. Oh, yeah, because you
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: see how much people, they're using like in big groups.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Like if you go down to like- Some of those areas.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: We were just in Vancouver and they have a street there.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I can't remember the, Hatchin' or something. Oh, it was Vancouver. Hastings,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: that was it. Hastings, yeah. And man, we went down
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: there at night, but they're still like all in groups.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Somebody's got the grill out and somebody's like- It's like
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: a tailgate. Somebody's a Jets fan or whatever, you know?
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Right, yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: But yeah. Yeah. But it was just like out there,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: everybody working together. Somebody's cooking up a drug. Somebody's, you
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: know- Yeah. They're all there.
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: That's, that's like a sense of like, people will busk in,
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: they're trying to make some money, you know?
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I watched somebody the other day play tears in heaven
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: on a vacuum cleaner down there. So it's fucking. It's
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: a real talent is what I'm saying.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: Get down to Hastings in Vancouver and you want to
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: fight the next Justin Bieber.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: You got a tear coming out of your eye and
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: the carpet's clean. It's fucking. How can you lose, bro?
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: You can't lose. But that's what I'm saying. There's so
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: much skill out there in a lot of these communities
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: and they're working together, you know? Yeah. You want to
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: cut the AC on a little bit? It's a little
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: warm in here, do you think, or no? You fine?
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: I'll take some AC if you got it. Okay. I
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: was in the ice bath. Oh, really? Earlier, yeah. I
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: was in an ice tub or something, yeah. It gets,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: and then you're so cold, you don't know what's going on.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: How long do you do it for? I stand for
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: 10 minutes.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: 10?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Yeah. I've never done it.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: I did a cold plunge in a spa once, and
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: I was like, this is not for me.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah. But people love it. You're more that warm boy, huh?
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I'm more that warm boy. I love a good sauna,
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: steam room. At night, do you sleep in bed with
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: your dogs or not?
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I got eight of them in the bed with us.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: There has to be like an Amy's Law or something.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: What is it? There has to be some sort of...
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: yeah this is this is yeah this is pretty close
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: to it actually yeah those are my and do they
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: all do they get like.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Oh no no sponey's on this picture actually there's uh
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: that's biscotti my my favorite at the.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Top do they all have to pee at the same
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: time kind of like.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: A women's basketball team or whatever they hold it they
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: hold it for 10 hours no they go yeah they
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: go to the bathroom at like seven o'clock we take
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: them out and then 5 30 they're up and we
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: take them down.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Wow so 5 30 you got to take them down
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Even in the winter. That's why I sleep so good.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: I get that four hours, I'm ready to go, baby. Yeah,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: even in the winter. In the rain. Oh. The rain's rough.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: Rain's worse than winter. In the rain.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: But we have a run, so they could go by themselves.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: I had to walk them, thank goodness. But yeah, that's
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: tough when it's in the rain. They don't want to
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: go outside.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: What's... What's a crazy gift that somebody brought you guys
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: one time? Did anybody get it?
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: More of it's the tattoos. Like, you get this too, right?
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: People tattoo themselves. I saw this woman just tattooing our
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: faces on themselves and stuff.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: This woman on her.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: Upper thigh gave, like, a caricature version of the Jokers, like,
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: of each of us, like, around her thigh.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: And I was like, that's for life. Like, that's great. Like,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: you sign people. Like, they put their tattoos on you.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: I started doing this thing where I started– people asked me, oh,
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: could you sign me so I could– you make a tattoo.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: I said, can I just draw you something instead? I said,
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: cause I feel like that'd be, so I just draw
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: a heart with like a paw.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: That's a heart.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I was like, this is important to me. It'd be
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: cool that you do that. So, but yeah, like see
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: this woman has her name all written on all of us.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: That's all of us.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: She finally got all of our signatures. Yeah. She got Sal.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Who held out?
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: I think the last one was, I think she had
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: to meet Q. I think it was, you can tell
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: by the placement, like she met Sal early. Sal's right
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: in the middle of the arm, you know?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Sal's got the Sal. Look at Murray's always in
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: the back creeping. Yeah.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: But yeah, people like get our signatures a lot, but
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: then people get like interpretive stuff too, whether it just
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: be like a bowl of mashed potatoes, of mashed potatoes. Like, look,
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: I got scoopski potatoes on me. I'm like, dude, like,
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: thank you. I guess that's very odd. All because of
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: a joke you made, you know? So that's really weird.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: But we've gotten like, I get a lot of fan
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: art of like drawings. Like I see, you notice you
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: have some drawings and stuff too. I get some drawings
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: and some of them are just like really, really well done.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: And it's like, wow. And then you just get some
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: that are like, that's really bad oh yeah yeah or
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: interesting a lady this week gave us a painting and
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: it had a rat and an open vagina on it
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: a rat it was very like a vaginatic or whatever
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: it was yeah something in heat or whatever.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: Yeah gotcha gotcha Well, you got to send that thing
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: to New York. Solve that problem real quick.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: It was crazy, dude. It was just like, it was
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: a really neat painting too, but it was definitely wild, man.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: I'll have to put the picture on the YouTube if
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: we can. I don't even know if we can put
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: it up.
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: I had this woman who took a picture off my
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: Instagram of me and my daughter. It was a jewel
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: and she made a jeweled painting of it. So she
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: used like jewels, just different colored jewels. And she made
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: me and my son and my daughter.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Oh, that's beautiful. And it was, I framed it and
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: I put it in my office. It was really cool.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I get some really cool stuff.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: It's so funny because they're so talented and I can't,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: because you draw, I can't draw for sure. I'm so unartistic.
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: So I'm like taking a backbite. I'm like, wow, this
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: is really, really nice.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah. If our teacher tried to get me to draw,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: I'd accuse the teacher of touching me or something. I'm like, dude,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: we're shutting this down today. I didn't have, we had
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: art history. Oh, God.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Which is silly in high school. Like, we didn't even have, like,
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: our art class was art history.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Bro, is there anything worse when you think it's going
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: to be art, dude, and it's art history, dude? You
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: get in there, and you're like, where's the art at?
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: And they just give you a fucking book about Stonehenge.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: You got to rewrite it.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: And you're just out here reading about art. Reading about
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: art is the worst. It's the worst thing. Let me
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: read about art instead of doing it.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Dude, even when you're at a gallery or something, you
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: see the little thing with the name. I'll read only
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: like a third of that little card that has a
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: guy's name. Tell me what his inspiration was. Oh, God.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: I do like going and sitting amongst art. I feel
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: inspired by it. I like taking a look, but I
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: don't read the things about it. I don't know anything
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: about artists.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know a lot. I could pretend about
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: some stuff, but I don't know that much. It's like
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: some stuff I know a little bit. Do you have
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: any art? Yeah, I got a nice piece of art.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: This lady. Tell me the history of it. This lady
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: is an artist out of Louisiana, and I saw her
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: in Hawaii, and I bought a piece of art that
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: she had. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, Korpalski. Can you look
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: it up? Korpalski? Laura Korpowski, maybe? Maui artist, L-A-U-R-A. Korpowski. Korpowski, wow. Yeah,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: she had some really cool art, man. I like that.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: So you saw it at a gallery and you got them, yeah? Yeah,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I got it. It spoke to you, as they say. Yeah,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: it just makes me feel like, I don't know, you
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: can feel when somebody puts something into something, you know?
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: For sure. Yeah, but she had some really neat things
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: and she was from Louisiana and We met each other
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: in Hawaii, and so I was like, oh, this is
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: like a cool sign or whatever. Yeah.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: I was in San Diego for Comic-Con, and who's the
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: guy that drew Bugs Bunny?
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: Mel Blanc? Mel Blanc, right?
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: So the old Warner Brothers lot used to have a
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: Bugs Bunny stop sign. So Bugs Bunny would be standing
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: there with a stop sign when you pulled into the lot,
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: and he did 50.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Versions of it. And I bought one of those, but
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: it's huge. It's the size of like this. So I
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: actually mounted it inside a sliding door in my house. Oh,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: so it stays in there? Yeah, it stays in there.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: I was like, that's a really cool thing. It's signed
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: by him and stuff. He only made like 50 of them.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: And it wasn't that expensive. And then I went back
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: a couple of years later to some comic con again.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: And the guy was like, you set up that Bugs Bunny, right?
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: I said, yeah.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: And he's like, it had gone up like exponentially.
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: No.
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: And I was like, really? He's like, yes. So some things,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: I didn't get in for the game. I just love
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Bugs Bunny.
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: Grew up with it, you know? So I was like.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: I was like, oh, that's really cool that actually it
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: is something. But now it's a door in my house.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: I'm like, I can't. If I wanted to sell, I'd
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: have to sell the door. Yeah, it's that stop sign
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: right there. Bugs Bunny stop at the lot. Yeah, I
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: remember seeing that on the shows a lot. Yeah, that's it. Yeah,
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: so Chuck Jones. That's it, chuckjones.mil. Chuck Jones, yeah. I'm
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: trying to think of other things that, anything else. I've
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: got another piece of art. I don't know if it's
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: a piece of art or whatever. It's just like, there's
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: some other nice things that people have drawn us that,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: that are up in the studio in the, uh, in, um,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Yeah. Some other stuff. Yeah. Um, but yeah,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: it's amazing, man. People like the other night, two kids
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: gave me these little bracelets that they made. I love that.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: They make the bracelets and say stuff. Yeah.
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: Just like that bracelet culture. Cause Taylor Swift, she did
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: something right there with that. I mean, everybody's giving out bracelets.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I love that.
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: You get them all the time. So I get bracelets
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: from the kids and I actually bring them home and
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: my daughter loves them. My daughter will like keep stuff.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: It says, yeah, I have a, I have a pretty
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: good collection or like, Different like rocks or something. People
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: give you rocks. But then somebody brought me their molars
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: one time. They'd gotten taken out. Somebody brought me.
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: What's the story behind it? For a reason or just
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: wanted to give it to you? I can't even remember
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: what it was. Oh, it was crazy. People had brought
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: me like a box that smelled so fucking bad, dude.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Opened it up and it just, there was nothing in
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: it and it just smelled fucking horrible. horrible like it's
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: hot soup water from Hawaii just what you know terrible.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: Yeah I've gotten I've gotten some like weird stuff too
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: but a lot of people just like to bring me
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: food yeah because I'm known for being like a sweet
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: tooth kind of you know kind of guy so I'll
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: get paid people bring me in cannolis and like pastries
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: and like donuts and stuff that's awesome you know but
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: I'll never eat like I made you these cookies at
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: home I'm like I'm gonna eat these oh my It's
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: like in a saran wrap.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Like, it's still, like, greasy. I'm like, I'm good. They're like,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: eat one. I'm like, I'll eat it later. Like, make
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: sure you do. Yeah, like, it's so weird. There's, like,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: tracking devices in it. Oh, I had a guy bring
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: me 10 hits of LSD one time. He's like, I
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: know your server, but here's 10 hits of LSD. And
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: I was like... Could go. Do you know how sober means?
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Any direct. This could go. This could go poorly. But yeah,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: a lot of times just some super neat stuff. Yeah,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: it's crazy. And then just people like adding to your
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: world of like of your podcast or of your show,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: you know, or of you guys' podcast, which is kind
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: of fascinating. Yeah. What else is going on, dude? Oh,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: I saw that the SpaceX, they're going to pick up
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: the– those– The astronauts that got stranded. You see that? Oh,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: I did not. So two astronauts got stranded, right? I
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: knew that part.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: On the International Space Station and for the stranded astronauts,
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: the arrival of their ride home, perhaps an additional reason
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: for Butch and Sonny to celebrate. The SpaceX rescue mission
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: was launched from Florida with just two astronauts on board.
- 1:15:40Speaker 5: The other two seats kept free for the extra passengers.
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: when it returns to Earth in February.
- 1:15:45Speaker 6: It is a coup for the company, but an embarrassment
- 1:15:48Speaker 6: for Boeing, which is still trying to work out why
- 1:15:51Speaker 6: thrusters on its own Starliner capsule failed as it docked
- 1:15:55Speaker 6: in June, leaving the test pilots marooned.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Lots of cheering here in the room. There you go.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: So they called an Uber? They called an Uber. They're like,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: can you come get us? They called UberX. I'm right. Dude,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: so yeah, Elon, SpaceX is going to pick up these
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: two stranded astronauts, bro. Imagine being just stranded out there.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: That's insane. Imagine you think you're going home. You're supposed
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: to go home. And then they're like, no, it's going
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: to be from June to February. It's going to be
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: seven more months, eight more months. I mean, there's got
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to be nine more months. Nine months. Do they have enough?
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Do they have enough food? Packets of oatmeal. They kind
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: of have enough stuff, right? I bet they pack like
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: a head, but like surely. Nine months more? Yeah. That's
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: a full baby being born. And even the person who
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: packed it up was probably like, they're not going to
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: be out there that long.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Let's take some of this oatmeal home. 100%. They don't
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: need this much of this oatmeal. You think they need
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: 80 jars of applesauce? Give them 68. They'll never know
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: the difference. Meanwhile, they're up there like. Licking the spoon.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: We just had 12 more jars. God, dude. But yeah,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Elon's going to get them. I actually tweeted at him
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: the other day to see if they would let me.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: I wanted to interview the. Oh, go. Sick, dude. They're
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: sending Theo to go pick them up. Would you take
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: that risk, you think, if they said you could go? No,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: definitely not. Definitely not. That's a big risk, it would
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: feel like. Yeah, but that would be. That's a one
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: in a. bajillion thing nobody else would ever say.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: They did that you know and picked them up who'd
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: they send did they send people that were equipped to
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: do it or was.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: It i don't know i hopefully they sent ben affleck
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: because he's working on the drill well i think he
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: could just him and bruce willis.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: Is what i want to send right they got they
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: got that work work experience willis is already he's out
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: to space currently i think he's.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: He's has dementia right now yeah which is basically free
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: outer space you know what i'm saying he's just there
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: and i'm just joking bruce willis yes um But no,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore have been stranded on the
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: ISS since June after the Boeing spacecraft suffered thruster failures.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: SpaceX rescue flight will not return until February. Oh, wait.
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: It arrives already, though. So they already picked them up.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: No way. But arrived just after 10.30 p.m. on Sunday. Oh,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: so they already picked them. That was really them picking
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: them up. They're in today. They're in, but at the
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: ride back, they're hitting some traffic.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: It looks like the Waze map is telling them that
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: they're going to be hitting some traffic.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Okay, so they got them. So halfway there. So coming
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: back must take so much longer then. Yeah. Yeah, how'd
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: they get there? So quick. That doesn't make sense. I
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: guess so. Let me see. When did they leave to
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: go get them? NASA confirmed in August that the two
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: will return to Earth and will not return until 2025
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: with SpaceX now in charge of rescuing the astronauts on
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: a crew dragon flight. But what's the plan if they
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: don't send SpaceX? What's the plan? How do they get
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: these guys home? They put their homes out the side.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: A crew situation? Like, come on, stroke, stroke. Take me
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to the river.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: Right? What is the plan?
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: What is Boeing's plan? Oh, that's crazy. If Elon doesn't
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: bail them out like that. That's crazy that there's a late, yeah.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: But everybody's flights are getting delayed now. That's the crazy thing.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: You're equating a Southwest flight being delayed.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: It's still a flight.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: It's true.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I guess I'll favor. Everybody's having trouble, dude. Nobody's above it, man. Yeah.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: We're all just human at the end of the day.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: But yeah, I wanted to get to interview the two astronauts,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: podcast with them.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: But.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: They'll come. You think so? I mean, it would be interesting. Yeah,
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: if they're fans, yeah, sure. If they don't have anything
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: to do also, you know? I mean, their job's done.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: They never have to work a day again in their life, right?
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: They're done. They get some sort of pension. Are you kidding?
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: Name a bigger hero.
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: You went and saved two people from space.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: That's a movie plot, a real-life movie plot. But that's
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: working for NASA. That's working for the government, man. Dude,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: you work at the post office. They barely give you
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: a fucking, you know? That's true, yeah.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: Some guy was stalled over on McDougal.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: They couldn't pick him up for three weeks. Where's Jim? Oh,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: his car broke down on McDougal. We'll see him in March. Yeah,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: so let's don't put it past the government. First of all,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: if the government said, hey, I want to take you
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: and a buddy to space, I'd be like, fuck no, dude.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: You guys can't even decide on a correct price of stamps, dude.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: All expense paid. You guys are going to space. Thanks.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: I'm going to be like, dear God, no. But everything's
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: become privatized now. That's just how everything is, you know? Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: Even rescue missions, apparently. Yeah. Yeah. It's crazy. It's like,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: it used to be, everything was kind of like the
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: public things were rocking, you know? And then now it's like. Not. Yeah.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: They just gone home. It used to be the post system.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: Now it's Amazon. You know, it's just like, everything's kind of. Yeah.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: Or a lot of things have become more that way.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: What else is going on with you, man? Sorry, I
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: feel kind of tired today. Okay. Do I seem tired? No,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: you're doing great.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Am I boring? No. Okay, good. You're doing great, dude.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I've been trying to fast a lot, and so I
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: think it's slowing my energy down some. Yeah, you look good, though.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I feel pretty good.
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: Where are you in your weight loss journey or your
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: weight gain journey? Are you, like, trying to do something?
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: No, I've just been trying to fast just to, like,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: see if it helps my brain get, like, more, like, Sharp? Yeah,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: just sharp and just like– they say it can like
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: reduce inflammation and stuff like that. Gotcha, yeah. But then
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: you find yourself like suddenly you can't think or anything. Right.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: You get cloudy. Yeah, but maybe it's just part of
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: the process. Do you drink caffeine? Do you drink like
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: coffee and stuff or no? I've been off of it
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: for a little bit. Yeah, yeah. So– I do a
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: cup of coffee. You do? Yeah, I do coffee. I
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: had a cup before I came here. That's why I'm
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: so bright-eyed. I normally have one earlier in the morning,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: but I didn't get one.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: I was– I was kind of late getting it, but
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: I got one in the afternoon and I realized like
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: it woke me up a little bit.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: So that's good. Oh yeah, dude. One time I took
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: 30 days off a coffee, man. And I felt wide awake, dude.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Did you? Yeah. I felt like rocking, bro.
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: Really?
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I think for sure, like, I also like the
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: taste of it.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: There's some people that don't even like the taste of it,
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: but I enjoy a cup of coffee. There's some people like, oh,
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: I need my coffee when I wake up because it's
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: got to wake me up. I never drink it to
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: wake me up. I drink it just because I wanted
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: to like, I enjoy a cup of coffee and that's.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: A warm beverage. Yeah. It's nice.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: There's something nice about it. Something kind of romantic about
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: it a little bit. By the fire cozying up. Yeah.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: What else is happening, dude? What else is going on, Joe?
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I got, uh, lots, man. You know, I got my
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: kid's book came out. Where's Barry's really fun. Yeah. And
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: what's it about? So you did it. You had another
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: kid's book a few years ago.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: I had a book, a cookbook. Uh, it was a
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: photo book, photo book, the dog father, my love of dogs, desserts,
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: and grownup Italian.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: And I was doing COVID. I had taken pictures of
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: my dogs cause I'm a photographer, amateur photographer too. And
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: I had done a bunch, but my where's Barry book
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: just came out. And, uh, Oh, that's cool. It's like
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: a legit book, which is cool. It got published by Penguin.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: No way.
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Dude, congratulations.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: And that's, Spumoni's actually in the book too, but that's
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: my son and my childhood bear. He animated for me.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: So that's really cool to see that happen, you know?
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: And what happens with Barry? What's he dealing with? What
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: is it?
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: So my son and at Remo, he lost his bear
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: in his bedtime. So he's having a little bit of
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: a meltdown, you know, and that's like the worst catastrophe
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: for any parent. So he has to go find it.
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: But in reality, it's based on a story of my son,
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: is beside himself at night. And he's like, I can't
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: find it. And I was like, all right, well, where'd
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: you put it? And I had to teach him how
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: to like calm down and trace your steps. But he had,
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: he was decided in real life to play hide and
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: seek with it. And he hid it under a pot
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: in the kitchen, like in a cabinet. I never would
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: have found it ever. So I had to like calm
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: him down and he went and found it. So I
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: wrote this book up and I sent it over. And
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: the guy that did it, Luke Flowers is awesome. He's
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: a huge Joker's fan. He put a bunch of Joker's
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: like Easter eggs in it, which is really cool. when
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: I got the first things but it's a really good
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: book I mean I like being a part of bedtime
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: I think it's pretty fun you know I read it
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: to my kids my kid and my son I went
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: to their school got to read it to the school
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: which was fun yeah so my son's like he's like
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: I'm in a book you know it's really.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Cool was he excited when his dad came to school or.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: Not yeah yeah he's super excited they love when I
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: get to come to school and do stuff but they
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: come on the road with me too which is cool
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: they're gonna come on the road with me next week
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: actually two weeks they'll.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Be with me and they're gonna come hang out on
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: the road which I love. I love to get to
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: take them out. Yeah.
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Yeah. It's fun.
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: They, you know, they love coming on stage at the
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: end and bowing like they did at the end of
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: the special. It's really fun, but they just like to
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: be like room service. You know, it's like, can we
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: get pancakes? Like, you know, it's like, he's like, feels
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: like a King, which is fun. They get to see
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: these towns, which I like too. They get to go
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: to different places. You know, I like to not be,
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: you know, shelter. I want them to see the world
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: and stuff. Yeah.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: We were just in, um, milwaukee milwaukee was a really
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: amazing city that i didn't know it was like that
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: oh yeah milwaukee is great bro i had no idea
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: and then there was another city that we were just
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: in uh springfield missouri springfield missouri yeah yeah it's a
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: sleeper yeah yeah it's a fun one yeah and yeah
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: i don't even remember where else jesus.
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: Yeah but it's not that's like my favorite part about
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: it is like when you go to these little Two
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: years ago, I wanted to perform live comedy. I wanted
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: to perform live in all 50 states, so I did it.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: I checked off all of them. My last one was Fargo,
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: North Dakota. You went through there, yeah? Such a cool
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: little town. And then you get to all these little towns.
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: I love that about going down Main Street. You see
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: all their little stores.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, little things.
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: Every street's got like a Candles and Bullshit kind of store,
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: and they got their coffees.
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: You just walk around. I love that. That's so cool. Yeah,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: that is awesome. Oh yeah. Just a simple fact to
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: get in to see certain places, man. Like we got
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: to go through like, uh, Eastern Oregon. Um, and that
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: was just, do you ever do the coast drive? Did
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: you ever do that drive on like the Pacific coast?
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I've never done it.
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: Oh no.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: That's really fun. I've done it down by California, but
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I've never done it all the way up. Yeah.
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: So my wife, when she was, when I, she was
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: still my girlfriend, I picked her up. She lived in, uh,
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: off near Seattle, this town in Seattle. So we took
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: her from Seattle and I drove her down to her
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: parents in San Francisco. So that was such a pretty drive.
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: And then when I lived in LA, I never did
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: it all the way, but I've connected each piece, you know,
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: but it's really cool.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: It's, it's like movie sets. It's unreal. You know, it's pictures.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: That's so pretty. Yeah. America is a beautiful country, man. Yeah.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: There's so many cool spots. Yeah. We just saw some
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Mennonites too. We were in, uh, little rock, I think.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: And they, we saw some Mennonites outside of there. Um,
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Bring up a Mennonite. There you go. Was it creepy? No,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: they were cool. Did you see them at night? No.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: They disappear, right? I don't know what they're up to
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: at night. Well, we saw some lit up ones. We
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: saw some daytime ones. Daytime Mennonites. It's my favorite time
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: of Mennonite. Nighttime Mennonite?
- 1:26:37Speaker 3: That's kind of creepy. Yeah, that's like a major trope
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: in horror films, right? It's like that type of life.
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy. I could never do that. um,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: what are people feeling? Is there a lot of, do
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: you see a lot of political stuff up in Staten Island?
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Is it like a Long Island? Yeah, not really. I mean,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: I feel like it's polarized everywhere. Yeah. You know, but
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: I kind of steer clear of that stuff.
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: I don't, I don't really try to put my opinions
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: on people because I don't know much.
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: About anything, you know, their own thing. Do you find
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: yourself getting in the mix a lot? No, I think so.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Like it's like, it's hard for me to talk, think
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: about it and talk about it at the same time.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: Sometimes it's like, And I don't know when to like
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: kind of put my thoughts in. Like this year we
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: started having just different people on, like we had some
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: politicians on and then we had like, like even last
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: week we had Mark Cuban on and we talked about
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: some political stuff, but sometimes it's hard for me to like,
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: think and share what i want at the same time
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: you know because some of those conversations it's not as
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: fun you know it's just it's not as fun yeah
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: yeah yeah and.
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: Then you want people don't really talk about politics you
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: know because it's like yeah it's a divisive in nature
- 1:27:47Speaker 3: yeah you got to pick a side.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: So yeah you want to be respectful too of what
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: somebody thinks but at the same time sometimes it's like
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: you don't want to get into like a rebuttal and
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: then it's like you know so it's just some of
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: that it's kind of like a learning curve even with
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: doing podcasts and it's like how do you get into
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: conversations with people also when they have more knowledge than
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: you do to about stuff or they, cause you're learning
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: and contributing or they think they have more knowledge, you know?
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Cause then you feel like, well, I think something, but
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: I may not know a fact on it, but it
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: is how I feel, you know? And like when to
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: speak up. When people try to talk you out of feelings,
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: that's like the worst thing ever.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: When you feel a certain way about anything, you know,
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: and they try to like disprove how you feel about something.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: Like, I feel like that's wrong.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: Well, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: And I hit you with all these like, facts which
- 1:28:29Speaker 3: some were probably made up you don't even know and
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: it's like okay but i still feel that.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Way yeah yeah yeah what are you trying to talk
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: me out of you know exactly dude yeah um that's
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: an interesting thing there what else is happening in the
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: news what else is going on man you read the
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: news when you wake up how do you get your
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: how do you get your news uh that's a good
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: question yeah probably tiktok yeah websites um that's it really
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: stuff that comes across your radar Yeah, kind of like
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: that are things that I'll see kind of over and
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: over again. Dude, you see that snake that's head got
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: bit off and it still bit itself? Bring it up.
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: Watch this. They cut the snake's head off, right? Yeah.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: That's its head at the bottom. That is insane. And so, yeah,
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: that's from Satan, dude. You think it's having a bad
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: day and then it just gets way more. Oh, bro,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: look at that. Its head was a foot away from
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: the end of its body. It taps it, and then
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: there you go. And then the other end of the
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: snake curls over and touches the head just reflexively.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: And it just opens its mouth and instinctually just chomps
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: down on itself. And now the snake is like, not
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: only have I lost my head, but now it's biting me.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Look, I've tried to do some things to myself, but...
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? That's a talent right there.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: In junior high or whatever. But this is kind of crazy, bro.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Do you have a fear of anything? Are you afraid
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: of snakes? Oh, snakes make me very nervous.
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: That makes me nervous. I'm not really afraid of snakes.
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: That clip changes my opinion.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: Well, it makes me feel like they're directly from Satan. Also,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: huge corporations make me very nervous. Snakes and huge corporations.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: And sheer evil. Yeah, those are tough. Those are tough. Yeah,
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: and genocide also makes me nervous too a little bit.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: And we're talking in no particular order. All three of
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: those things make me pretty nervous. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: Sometimes you see animals pull off some stuff and you
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: just can't believe that they're real with stuff. You ever
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: see like when you see these falcons, they're like 100
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: feet out of the water and they see a fish
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: and they just dive, get it out of the water
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: and just come up and have lunch.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: You'll get it. I missed a turn on the way here,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: and I have GPS. You know what I mean? It's
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: like crazy.
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: It's crazy what some of these animals could do. But
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: biting yourself with your head off, that's bonkers.
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: That's some ditty shit. Look at those. These are nuts.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: They just dive, and they go underwater. And they can't
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: breathe them. They're just diving and going. He's like, boom,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: I'm just going to grab this fish right out of
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: the water. Oh. If you could train a falcon to
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: do that, and you showed up at a bass tournament. Yeah.
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: Everybody's there with their rods. You're just there with the
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: little helmet on it. Go ahead, Maximus. It's time to eat.
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: In 30 minutes, you're done. I love birds. You're done
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: for the day. You do? I love birds, man.
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: If I could have a falcon, I'd have a falcon.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: I had an African gray parrot.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: For a minute. No way. Oh, the best. Maximus, his
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: name was. He was a little bird I had. He
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: was so fun. Yeah, those guys are super smart. And
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: are these the ones that can read and write or no?
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: Yeah, they're the most intelligent of the parrot. Yeah, they
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: got that red tail. They're really fun. But I didn't
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: teach it how to talk because I only taught it
- 1:31:47Speaker 3: to go like that because they live to 80 years old.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: I don't want 80 years old to like, hello. Like
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: I don't want 80 years of saying hello to this bird.
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: So I didn't teach it how to say anything. Oh, dude,
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: come on. So like what am I going to do?
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: I'm going to be answering questions? That's like having a
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: toddler or whatever. You don't teach him anything. It's a
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: bird though. He liked his life for a while. It
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: was great. And what happened in the end?
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: I moved, I, uh, I ended up moving to LA
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: and I didn't have an apartment or anything. And I
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: was living with a friend, so I couldn't bring a
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: bird and a bird cage with me. So I ended up, uh,
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: there was this, uh, bird rescuer that worked at with
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: the Bronx zoo.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: And she, uh, she came over and took it and, uh,
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: interviewed her and she was really nice. So they got
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: a good zoo in the Bronx.
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: A lot of union work, a lot of union animals
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: up there.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: It's clean. A lot of union animals. Yeah. The Bronx
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: zoo was like one of the biggest ones. Wow. It's a,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: They do a big thing at the holidays, too.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: I think all the zoos do it where they light up, like,
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: and do that, like, at night thing.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. And it's really, really cool. Animals at night
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: or whatever, like, yeah. When I went to Australia, I
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: did the weirdest thing.
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: They had the nocturnal animals, they change their clock on them.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: So they make, they're all indoors in this facility, right?
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: There's, like, these mice and whatnot, and they change their
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: clock because they are supposed to be asleep at night,
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: that they make it sun at night inside this building.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: It's sun up.
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. And then during the day, they make it night
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: in this building. Isn't that a war crime doing that?
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: I think it is.
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: I think these mice are like, hey, if they ever
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: get out in the wild, I'm going to do it.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: But it's great.
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: You walk in, it's like you're walking through the prairies
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: at night. I think it was in Sydney, the Sydney
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: Zoo or wherever I was. And it was crazy.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: Like you walked in and it was like you were
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: walking through. And they had all these mice running around,
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: all these different owls, bats. It's crazy. I wouldn't be
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: able to be a night animal, dude. No, you're too lazy. Well,
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: it's just too risky out there. Something like attacks you
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: in the dark or something. Something always sees better than you. Yes.
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: That stuff. Yeah, dude. And if you can't see that
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: good and it's nighttime or whatever and you're like, I'm
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: an animal or whatever, you're done. These scary movies too
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: where people like run through the woods at night.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: No.
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: I'm going to stay here until the sun comes up
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: and then I'll figure it out.
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: Like trying to run through and stuff. I can't do that.
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: Like they used to have those Friday the 13th movies.
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: They were like that.
- 1:33:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: Did you ever watch those? Yeah. Yeah, I did.
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: I did.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: I like some horrors and stuff. Yeah, that's it. Nocturnal House.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: The Taronga Zoo, Upper Nocturnal House, Australia.
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: So see that? That's the indoor. So they totally change it.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: It's broad daylight outside. You walk in tonight.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: It's rad.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: These crazy squirrel things. And all the Australian animals are
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: all batshit crazy. They got some weird animals over there.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: Well, even if you think about like– it's funny because
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: if you looked at– like say if you walked into
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: the forest or whatever and they had– you saw a
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: bear in there, right? But he was drinking– He's sitting
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: there drinking like 20 cups of coffee and smoking cigarettes,
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: and it's like on his computer all day. You'd be like,
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: something's wrong with this fucking bear. The other bears are
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: just having fun, scratching their backs on trees, dude, eating
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: berries or whatever. And he's just over there like– Got
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: to get this report to corporate. Yeah. Like, this bear's
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: got something wrong with him, right? It just shows you
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: what sick animals. We are just like humans. We've gotten
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: kind of sick, you know? Bear appears to carry a
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: laptop computer at Montana Roadside. Never mind, dude. This guy,
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: he was like, dude, I got to give Theo a story. Wow.
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: People get stupid around bears, though. They always want to
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: pet them. Yeah. It's got to be the number one
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: animal attack. There's always a video in the background. The
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: kid's like, touch him, dog. And people think they're scarier
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: than them. They're going, oh, oh. Meanwhile, the bear ripped
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: the head off. Like, it's so dumb. Don't be a wimp, dog. Yeah,
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: go get him. Dad puts a bike helmet on and
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: goes to fucking talk to the bear. It's okay. And
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: he puts his hand out. It's like, oh, oh. Like,
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: The bear's like, I'm going to eat you, you dumb human.
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: It's so stupid. People get so ballsy or so scared
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: of bears.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: It's unbelievable. Yeah.
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: I don't know why people think bears are friendly. It's
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: the one because they look cute, right? But the people
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: are like, oh, they're friends. But like nobody goes up
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: to like lions and tries to pet them. Lions are
- 1:35:47Speaker 3: cute too, right?
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: But they're not as– bears have been like commercialized as
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: being so cute. The Berenstain bears, right? Right, you got it.
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: The teddy bear. Yeah, the teddy bear. Bear grills. Yeah.
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: People approach them like that. It's going to bite you. Oh, oh, oh.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: People just bear spray him all the time. No, no, no.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: Give him a whole finger to a bear. He's like,
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: you're not going to eat me today. Dude, that'd be
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: the best. You see a bear like in a Hakeem
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: Olajuwon jersey somewhere. Or in a Nuggets jersey. And the
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: bear is going, I'm going to eat your ass. Yeah, dude.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: Nature's crazy, man. Do you think that we are like–
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: divinely separate or do you think that we're just part
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: of nature? Do you think? I think there's a, I
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: think we're, I think we're part.
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: It's, it's hard. I, I think we are part of it,
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: but I'm not sure if, I think we fit in
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: in a different way. We think we fit in a
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: different way than we do. I think it's like, we're
- 1:36:50Speaker 3: supposed to be part of the mix way more.
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: We're not in charge of half this shit. Yeah. We're
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: supposed to be part of the mix way more.
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: It's a hundred percent. Like we have to put these
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: animals in cages to control them. And some of them
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: are like, we're the dominant species. Like, yeah, really let
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: them out of the zoo and see what happens.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it's crazy that way.
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: I love animals though. Yeah, man. I think I wish
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: I would spend more time around in my, uh, we
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: had a, this neuroscientist on and she was saying that, yeah,
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: being around animals, being around horses, horses, even just if
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: you have a big family and you all sleep together
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: in the same house that it creates more, um, like, uh,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: feelings of like low stress, you know? Yeah.
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: Horses are used a lot in therapy, right? Equine therapy,
- 1:37:29Speaker 3: what they call it, where you like hug a horse
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: and go to a ranch for like a month.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Those are big. It's like a horse hugging. That's
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: the thing. I didn't make that up. That's real. But
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: then it can escalate too. I married this horse. I
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: found love in Arizona. You'll end up in one of
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: those donkey shows or whatever. How does equine therapy help
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: trauma victims? That's a good question. Equine therapy is an
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: excellent option for trauma victims who have a hard time
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: opening up about their experiences or who feel overwhelmed, anxiety,
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: or panic. Equine therapy provides a unique environment in which
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: individuals are able to heal their invisible wounds in a
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: way that is intuitive and fun. It's fun. Therapy could
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: be fun, man. This is a website, I think, trying
- 1:38:10Speaker 1: to sell us something. Is there actually, can you find
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: something that's a little bit more information, just like the
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: actual information, please? I'm curious about that. Yeah, there's a-
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: Because how do you do it? You know?
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: So it's basically just kind of like you're around, because
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: they're low-stress animals, or like, you know, you have to
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: be calm around a horse, or you have to calm
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: yourself down.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: I think that's part of it.
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: So I think that's... that that does it but it's
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: it's weird like you see these people like they're laying
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: down with the horses and just petting them and they're
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: you see what the problems are dealing.
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: With it's crazy oh yeah i met two alpacas outside
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: of a lowes outside of uh uh parks outside of
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: park city What were they picking up some, picking up
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: some two by fours? No, I don't know what they
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: were doing. One of them named Macaroni. I remember that.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: That's great. Love that. I'd like to put that video
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: in of it. The movement of horses can improve motor
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: function and core strength. No. The psychological effects of equinosis
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: that there become from the horse's ability to recognize human
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: emotions and provide an intentional response. Intentional response. Okay. So
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: if like you're freaking out, they'll just come over and
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: be like, look, it's okay. I'm a horse. Improved self-esteem. Okay. Yeah, man,
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: I think my brain just feels slow today. Do you
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: ever have slow days? Do you take days off sometimes?
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: I just got off the road too for a few
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: days and it was just like. That's always the hard one, yeah.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: You think?
- 1:39:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think when you get back to settle in,
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: it's nice. You're trying to readjust because your clock's off too, right?
- 1:39:36Speaker 3: Because like you're having that high of doing a show
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: at night, meeting all those people and doing everything, right?
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: Yeah. So it's a little different. You don't get that
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: at home.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: What time do you normally go to bed? If you're
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: at home. If I'm at home by 11.
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: What about you? I go better probably around 1. No way.
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: 1 a.m.? 12, 1, yeah. Joe, that's late, dude. Yeah,
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: I probably should get more sleep. But like I said,
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: I sleep hard with these songs. I get a good
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: five hours and I'm raring to go. I'm a napper
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: though sometimes. I'll shut it down for 20. I like
- 1:40:07Speaker 3: a good cat nap.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. I'll grab a nap. You nap?
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: Yeah, dude.
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I like a nap. I think napping is the best.
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: I think they're the best. Could you nap for longer though?
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: Like if I go over like, 25 minutes, half hour,
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: I'm like, I slept. Like, I need to go to sleep.
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: My dream is to take an alarmless nap, dude. Wake
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: up when the body says it's time. Yeah, dude. Before
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: God starts pulling on your strings again. That's right, yeah.
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: Blacked out curtains. Maybe the AC's on. I like it.
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: AC on, earplugs in, fan on.
- 1:40:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: One of those Vietnamese water fountains playing in the back
- 1:40:40Speaker 1: or whatever. You got it, of course. Water dripping directly
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: on my forehead in the center. I like to be
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: like a POW. That's it, getting out, right? Oh, I want, yeah.
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: Do you do ear? I want somebody to just slip
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: me a small tin of beans. Around 8 p.m. That's
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: the only food. Doing maybe little paper cuts on your foot. Yeah, dude.
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: Did you do ear, do you do like? I'll do earplugs, yeah. Earplugs, yeah. Dude,
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: I'll wear earplugs now sometimes until like 11 a.m. It's like,
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: there's just too much noise in the world. I don't
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: want any of it. I don't care. Wow. I've heard
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: so much of it. Put the earplugs in. See people.
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: They don't know. Oh, yeah. Talk loud to them. Like, God,
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: neighbor's loud. Yeah. Theo's got his ears coming out. Do
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: you have them in now? No, I don't. All right, good.
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: But I'll put them in a lot, dude. That's good, though.
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: It'll shut you down. What else do I do? What's
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: something else that I like to do a lot? Oh,
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: I used to sleep in a neck brace when I
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: was young to try to make my neck longer. Did
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: you ever do anything like that? Stretch it out? Yeah. No,
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: I didn't sleep in a neck brace, but I had a...
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: It's pretty hard to do. Did you ever have braces
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: growing up? Oh, yeah. Yeah, so I had braces. I
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: was the last one that I got it for some.
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: my doctor was totally through this thing where, you know,
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: he had the headgear thing and like he, cause I
- 1:41:56Speaker 3: was the last one in the family.
- 1:41:57Speaker 1: He was like milking it. He didn't want the gattles
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: to be out of that orthodontic game, you know?
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: So I had to wear a headgear for like forever.
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: I had braces for five years and it was like,
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: you had to wear the headgear, you know, when you sleep.
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: And I was like, you know what?
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: I don't want to wear it for five years. I
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: was going to wear them all the time. So I
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: just used to wear it like 24 seven. I would
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: have this headgear.
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd have the headgear on. Like an air traffic controller.
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: I would just have the like piece thing. Yeah. Similar
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: to that. That's a little, that's a little bit. Yeah.
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: Could you Google like 1980s? Like that's, that's like, keep
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: your mouth open thing.
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: Yeah. That thing.
- 1:42:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: Like the headband thing. The same thing basically. So bro,
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: And early braces was crazy. When you saw somebody with
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: that shit on, you'd be like, what are you a
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: part of?
- 1:42:41Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: I'd go to school like that. Yeah. What culture you in?
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: Because I didn't want to wear braces for so long. Yeah.
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: It was weird.
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: That's one thing I really did. But that was because
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: I wanted to be done with it sooner. That might
- 1:42:52Speaker 3: be me, actually, that picture right there. That third one,
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: that guy looks troubled, dude.
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: Yeah, he's like, I don't want to do this. Yeah,
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: those things were crazy, dude. Yeah, like what were the
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: first braces ever? I wonder what did they look like,
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: the first teeth braces? I don't know any before this.
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: Besides the silver things they would glue to your teeth, right?
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: They put it on with the adhesive to the front
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: of your teeth.
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: That's what I had.
- 1:43:13Speaker 3: The exposed ones, kind of like 2D has right there.
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and then they put the ones with the little
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: rubber bands on them. Rubber bands underneath here. You have
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: to bring back the overbite.
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: But then the big one was when they went to
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: a clear one, so they were trying to fool you
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: that it was clear.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: Egyptian mummies were found with metal bands around their teeth,
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: and archaeologists believe they used cat gut to tie the
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: bands together to move them. Primitive orthodontic appliances were also
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: found with early Greek and Roman artifacts. Really? They were
- 1:43:42Speaker 1: getting in that straight-your-teeth game early. Ugh. But imagine using
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: cat gut. Ugh. Cat gut your tongue. Cat gut your tongue.
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: That's probably where it comes from. Oh, my. We thought
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: it was gut. It's cat gut your tongue. And we're
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: solving mysteries here. Cat gut your tongue. Dude. You got
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: cat gut tongue. Look at this shit, bro. Oh. Oh,
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: my God. Oh, they like drilled through the teeth, though.
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: That's not right. They should have done that. That doesn't
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: seem correct. Horrible ideas. Yeah. This is also, who knows
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: if this is a reliable website. It's 123dentist. com. So. They
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: might have put this up together in Canva in the back.
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: It's like they're together a graphic. That's the crazy thing
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: about news nowadays. You don't know what's news and what isn't.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: I mean, it's crazy. You don't know what is real,
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: what isn't. You can go down a rabbit hole.
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: You find something gets disproved on the next page.
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: And the real news channels, they're not even serving you news.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: So it's like, what the fuck are they? Their opinions. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: That's why I asked you where you get your news from,
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: and you said TikTok. Yeah, dude. Which is an insane
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: answer if you think about it. TikTok, rumors. What my
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: neighbor says. Oh, for sure, dude. Whispers at the coffee bean. People,
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: things yell out during sex or whatever, anything. Did you
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: hear about that?
- 1:44:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: I heard it from Doreen, my neighbor. Yeah, dude. Trust me,
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: every now and then when Hank's home early, she leaves
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: her window open and you'll get the real scoop.
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: She's yelling, SpaceX is saving the astronauts.
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: Like, God, when do you guys come already? Please, sick
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: of hearing this. Earphones. Dude, what about all that Diddy stuff, man?
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: He's going to go down, huh? Did you ever meet him?
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: I never met him. Never met him, no. We're asking
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: everybody now.
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: In New York, he was always around, but I never
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: met him. I mean, that was, you know, I'm only
- 1:45:35Speaker 3: in the public eye for a decade now.
- 1:45:36Speaker 1: He's been around forever. I never really ran into him, no.
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: Seeing him, though, is kind of crazy. Seeing all that happen,
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: you know? To me, it's crazy. I wonder if– say
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: he does have tapes or information on like other people, right?
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: Other people, yeah. I wonder if they are going to
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: use that to get people to support different– like I
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: wonder if the government is going to use that to
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: get people to support different– Agendas? Agendas, political agendas. Hmm. Like,
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: that's what I wonder. It's like, okay, this tape won't
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: come out. We need you to support this candidate or
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: we need you to support this bill or policy or something.
- 1:46:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: I mean, it's not beyond comprehension, right? I don't think so.
- 1:46:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: I mean, there's definitely stuff that people are afraid to
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: have out there for sure. I mean, you know, he
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: famously said that he's got tapes of stuff and everybody knows.
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: And then imagine if you were ever even there. Yeah.
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: Even if you were just eating an hors d'oeuvre really hard.
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: Before you realize what's going on, you're just having some
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: deviled eggs.
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: You turn to your left and you're like, I should leave.
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: But they already got you on camera. Deviled eggs, you know?
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: That's rough. A couple of four eggs and a baguette
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: in your mouth or something. And people are like, this
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: guy's involved. I don't know. That would be, ugh. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: That's right.
- 1:46:52Speaker 3: I mean, it's going to be interesting how it shakes
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: out for sure. I think it's going to be, that's
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: going to be a long time coming out though, right?
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: That's not going to be like a, I think it's
- 1:46:58Speaker 3: going to go on.
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: For a while. Yeah. They got to drag that out.
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: Drag that out for sure. Yeah.
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:47:03Speaker 1: Um, what else is going on? This is a, you're
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: such an interesting fella. I am? You are, yeah. Do
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: you feel that? Because you are one of the most
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: interesting people to sit down with. I love it. Every
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: time we sit down, dude, I love it. Really? I
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: just feel like, yeah, I feel like my brain is
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: a little bit off today, kind of. It's actually, it's
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: been good. I just sometimes feel a little bit like,
- 1:47:26Speaker 1: I don't know. Like you got too much sleep, you
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: didn't get enough sleep. I don't know.
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:47:30Speaker 1: You know? It's a mixture of both. You need a nap.
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: We got to tie you up and drop some water
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: on you. You'll be okay. Get you in some sleep. Yeah.
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: Did you ever go do one of those military shows abroad?
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: Like military tours? No. No, I didn't. I wanted to.
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: I never did that. Have you? Yeah, those are pretty cool.
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: Was it cool? Yeah.
- 1:47:48Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: Yeah, just because you get to go to places you
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: never would even think that we have like military presence
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: and you're like, oh my gosh, we're in this place
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: and like suddenly you're performing and there's just like people,
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: you know, Do you get like.
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: The military escorts and all that stuff too? Is that
- 1:48:01Speaker 3: like when you're going on the way there?
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: I had a girl who offered a BJ to me
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: once in a blackhawk. That's not that kind of escort.
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: I meant like they take you. Not like a girl
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: who's in the military offering.
- 1:48:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: I know what you're talking about now no this girl
- 1:48:20Speaker 1: but she had like oh my god yeah I just
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: remember in a black hawk yeah she's like black hawk
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: down yeah she was black hawk down man well I
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: don't know what she was into she was white hawk
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: down but she yeah and I um I didn't do it.
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: I think I got too nervous. She also had a big,
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: huge pimple on her neck, and it made me nervous, too. Yeah,
- 1:48:46Speaker 1: that's not going to do it for you. It just
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: made me so nervous. I was like, you know. Did
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: she have neck herpes? I don't know. That's weird. She
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: didn't have it on her teeth. So I don't know.
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: That shit made me. But then, oh, one time, there
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: was another time on a military, I think it was
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: an airport space, they were doing like runs in the
- 1:49:08Speaker 1: morning and some girl came by my room in the
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: morning and I don't remember what it, you know, I
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: don't exactly remember what happened, but it was all above
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: board or whatever. Yeah.
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: But, uh, I'm bored. They'd love to on the, on
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: the basis. Yeah. She was, she was probably a little
- 1:49:27Speaker 1: late for work. Two minutes late for work, but still. Yeah.
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: Just a couple minutes. I'm not going to brag. Yeah.
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: 80 seconds late for work. A minute 30 at most. Yeah.
- 1:49:39Speaker 2: I hear that.
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: What's been something that you didn't expect about heading off
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: in a standup comedy? Like, did you expect it would
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: be different? Do you expect it would be like the
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: challenge of it? Like, I know you've always been on
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: stage and been a performer.
- 1:49:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: The challenge of it for sure.
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: Like to have to talk for 65 minutes, like, you know,
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: and do all that and just put it together that way.
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: That was really like the crafting of the hour was
- 1:50:01Speaker 3: such a, it's such a really cool thing to do,
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: you know, and being aware enough to be like, this
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: isn't as funny as the other stuff.
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: This has to go. That was such a weird thing.
- 1:50:10Speaker 3: Like the editing of the hour, you know, is like
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: where you think this is going to be a great
- 1:50:14Speaker 3: part of it. And then you go and just some
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: other stupid thing that happened. And you're like, oh, wow,
- 1:50:18Speaker 3: this is so much funnier than that. And it becomes
- 1:50:21Speaker 3: a big piece of it. Like a year into the tour,
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: I found a different story. And I just was like, oh,
- 1:50:25Speaker 3: I got to pull this out. This is not as
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: funny as the other stuff. And that was pretty cool.
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: I never really.
- 1:50:30Speaker 3: Experienced that because you think you have it. You're like, oh,
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: this is a great hour. And then you have something like, no,
- 1:50:33Speaker 3: this is a great hour, you know? Yeah, I just
- 1:50:36Speaker 3: had my son and I had a story about my,
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: in the new special, messing with people, I had a
- 1:50:40Speaker 3: story about my son going on a Star Wars ride.
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: And he didn't really, he'd never been on a ride before.
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: And he never saw Star Wars. He's five years old,
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: and he thought he got abducted by aliens. So he legit,
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: he starts screaming, I want to go back to Earth.
- 1:50:54Speaker 3: And it was so funny. And I was told Steve
- 1:50:57Speaker 3: Byrne that story. We were driving, and he's like, dude,
- 1:50:58Speaker 3: you got to try that in the hour.
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: He's like, that's funny. He's like, I'll tell that story.
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: And I was like, what? And that night, we were
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: driving that night. He's like, just tell it. Just start
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: telling it.
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: And I told it, and then I just started working
- 1:51:07Speaker 3: it out and figuring out what the punches were. And
- 1:51:09Speaker 3: it's such a cool part. But I had never really
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: talked about my kids at all. And that was like,
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: that's a really cool piece to add to the puzzle.
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: And a really cool way to do it. Let's see
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: just a bit of it.
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: Big Star Wars ride. Any other Star Wars fans up
- 1:51:23Speaker 1: in here?
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: I got to go on that Star Wars ride that
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: they built. And if you don't know about it, they
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: spent like hundreds of millions of dollars on this ride.
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: It's basically a movie set.
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: It's unbelievable.
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: But it's also an immersive experience, which means everybody who
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: works on the ride is in character.
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: They play a character.
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: So when the ride starts, you're in the woods with
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: all the rebels, and they're moving you down the line.
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: Thanks for joining the fight. You go through the woods.
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: A big alarm sounds. And they go, the first order's coming.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: We've got to get you out of here. You turn
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: the corner. There's this humongous spaceship. The door's open.
- 1:51:51Speaker 3: You get in with these big LED monitors all around you,
- 1:51:54Speaker 3: these 90-inch TVs. And you take off into outer space.
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: A battle begins. You get sucked onto the Death Star.
- 1:52:00Speaker 3: And the next time the door's open, you're on the
- 1:52:02Speaker 3: Death Star face-to-face with 100 animatronic human-sized stormtroopers with their
- 1:52:07Speaker 3: guns pointed at you.
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: And I was like, this is the coolest thing ever.
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? This is so cool. What a
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: cool experience for me. Not. For my five-year-old son.
- 1:52:16Speaker 3: Who's never seen a Star Wars film or been on
- 1:52:21Speaker 3: a ride.
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: That's good, dude. Wow, that's hilarious, dude. Yeah, when you
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: take it back and think about that.
- 1:52:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he's going to think he was abducted.
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: He's going to be on a Netflix documentary.
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: He'll be like, I got sucked in his face.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: And they sucked on my butt. Why is it that
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: everybody is taking a space? Everybody gets their approved. Everybody.
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: What is so interesting about our assholes? I don't know.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: And we can't even see them, dude. That's the scariest part.
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: That's right. If all the information is there and you
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: can't even see it. That's the shit that just like,
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: what are we fucking doing out here? That's why they're
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: the higher intelligence. They got all the secrets we keep
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: in our asses. Yeah, dude. Meanwhile, we look at dogs like,
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: look at these idiots. They're all like reading each other's
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: QR codes. Oh, that's the devil's QR code right there, dude.
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: That's true, huh? And you know, no two assholes are
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: the same. It's just like your fingerprint. Same exact thing.
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: I don't know if that's true. Really?
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: It's the 11th fingerprint. That's what they call it. That's
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: what they call it. Yeah. Maybe. Google the 11th fingerprint
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: and see what it says.
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: I think, you know what? It seems possible, but I
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: don't know if that's a fact. But also, how do
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: you prove that? You got to know everybody's asshole print?
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: Yeah. What is the rarest fingerprint type? Well, that's not it. Arch. Yeah.
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: Arch holes. Yeah. The arch holes. Yeah. 11th fingerprint. I
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: use the numbers. I think you have to write it out. E-L-E-V-N-T-H. Yeah.
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: It's going to be one, two, three dentists is going
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: to tell us which one. Oh, they're fucking hiding the
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: truth again.
- 1:54:07Speaker 5: That's it.
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: Here it is, man. We're going to ask your neighbor.
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: Get the real news. Yeah. Wake up Spumoni. Yeah, come on, Spumoni.
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: She's doing great, man. Thanks. Oh, she's doing great. Joe Goddard,
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: you got the new special, Messing With People. It's out
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: now on YouTube. It came out September 17th, yeah? September 17th, yeah.
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: September 17th. You have your new children's book, Barry. Where's Barry?
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: Where's Barry? Where's Barry?
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: It came out, and then I'm on tour now on
- 1:54:34Speaker 3: my new hour, Let's Get Into It tour.
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: And where's Barry? What ages is it for? It's four
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: to eight. It's a picture book. Beautiful, man.
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: For people who just one day want to have children,
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: you know, if they don't have kids now. It guarantees
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: that you'll procreate actually.
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: Really? Yeah. It's in the, it's on the back flap.
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: It's the opposite of the thing for the rats. So
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: that's why the rats can't read it.
- 1:54:56Speaker 1: If you play it backwards on a record player. Yeah.
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: Thanks so much, man. I appreciate you guys shows coming
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: up in Memphis, St. Louis, uh, Indiana.
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: Akron, Oklahoma, Texas.
- 1:55:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: I'm in Atlantic city, October, uh, I think 19th, the
