Why did AEW air the "All Out" backstage footage? | The Still Real to Us Show | Episode #740 – 4/18/24 · THE STILL REAL TO US SHOW – Real Guy Radio

It's still welcome. Everybody. Welcome to this week's edition of mist A Real
0:20
Show. Episode number seven and forty for April eighteenth, twenty twenty four,
0:26
is your AW Dynasty preview and predictions edition of ass R Team You. I
0:33
am one after the show. I am jad pect who joined every single week
0:37
my coast one only, Doctor Trey Franklin, Doctor Trey, did the footage
0:41
change your mind? My friend? I mean, I still think Bigfoot's real.
0:49
I'm sorry the footage of the young bucks. No, no lockness monster?
0:54
Oh yeah, see the so lockness. I don't believe it. But
0:59
I did come across a trailer for a movie that's all about sasquatches, so
1:03
that that's a documentary. Probably I think so, but uh not sure.
1:08
But I'm all in on Sasquatches. Fair enough, fair enough, fair enough.
1:12
Welcome, everybody, Welcome to this week's this thist rialto show more on
1:17
Sasquatches, lockness, monsters, and Bigfoot later on in the program. Lots
1:23
to cover here, obviously, AW Dynasty this Sunday on pay per view,
1:26
Doctor Trey, we need another long pay per view in our lives. I
1:32
was confused. I thought Dynasty was was an eighty soap opera. You know,
1:36
I did not know if I was going to reference that, but I
1:38
think you and I have dated ourselves because now we're gonna I was gonna do
1:42
a Linda Evans reference, but I was like, nobody will get to Linda
1:46
Evans reference. That would definitely bury it at that point. So yeah,
1:49
no, it's a reference that I was like, hmm, I wonder if
1:53
anybody connects with the old soap opera. It was like, probably not,
1:56
maybe doctor Trey, maybe coming the couple of people that are over what thirty
2:00
five? Is that fair? Even? Did? I think? I asked
2:05
my wife if she knew it was. She's thirty six, and she was
2:07
like, I've heard of it, but I don't know what it is.
2:12
I mean, I'm thirty seven. I did not watch an episode. My
2:15
grandmother when she would watch us is more of a days of our lives than
2:21
I think? Was it? A Different World? Was another soababera. No,
2:24
you're thinking of another world, another world, that's what it was.
2:28
I think a different World was like a ninety sitcom Cosby Show spin off.
2:31
That's what it was. Yes, yes, yes, so I'm blending my
2:36
young adolescent TV viewing here all in one you know, programming where I'm actually
2:39
covering professional wrestling, which I watched as a young adolescent as well. So
2:44
yeah, I did not know if the Dynasty reference would connect with a lot
2:46
of our fan base and our listeners, but hopefully for those over forty.
2:53
Is that fair? If you knew what the show Dallas was, you knew
2:58
what the show Dynasty was, Okay, fair fair enough? So if you
3:00
watched it at Nicked Night or like soap TV, I guess this is for
3:06
you guys. So yeah, yeah, those are those references. But yeah,
3:10
we were going one weekend like a normal life without a wrestling pay per
3:16
view, and now we're going back into another weekend with another wrestling pay per
3:20
view, and then I think there's a week weekend off without wrestling pay per
3:24
view, and then Backlash in France in early May is the following weekend.
3:31
I got admit doctor Trey and we talked about like trying to get your life
3:37
back together everything like that following WrestleMania. I shit, you not everything that
3:42
I was trying to get caught up on, like when it came to leisure
3:45
stuff, television shows, podcasts, what have you. I legitimately got caught
3:51
up this morning. So Thursday morning, as you and I record this Thursday
3:54
night for a Friday download, is when I legitimately got caught up from everything
3:59
that I was behind on thanks to WrestleMania weekend. Wait, so now I'm
4:04
curious because so, like, I guess, I guess I don't watch that
4:10
that much television. I guess anymore because I like, I just found the
4:15
show Ballers like I had heard about it. So I'm like, all right,
4:16
I'll watch this for a little while. And I just watched all season
4:18
one last night. So how many shows do you have for like must see
4:24
viewing that you were behind on? So what? Like? So what I
4:28
prioritize is the weekly wrestling shows, so from Raw, NXT, Dynamite,
4:36
SmackDown, Rampage, Collision. I will always prioritize for the podcast. The
4:43
other stuff that I and I will say that that's from the wrestling side of
4:46
things. What I have prioritized as well, which adds to this, is
4:51
watching Yankee games. I always will try to. I'm trying to watch more
4:56
baseball. Now I've got dot TV. Shout up. My brother who has
5:02
t mobile and like gave me his account, so thank you to my brother.
5:08
Try to watch a lot more baseball. So then the secondary stuff that
5:11
I try to get caught up on is NXT level Up. I still watch
5:16
that legitimately because I like to see like people before they make it on the
5:21
NXT level So like Jadeveon and Evans who's been on NXTV lately. I always
5:26
remember Tiffany Stratton before she started having her beginning vignettes, and Trick Williams was
5:31
even getting a lot of love on NXC level up Dark Side of the Ring.
5:39
I've been watching love that show. I don't know if you've been watching
5:42
it. Doctor Trey highly recommend the A and E biographies for w A.
5:46
I'll watch. They just brought back Most Wanted Treasures rivals from we and I
5:56
will from time to time try to watch some new Japan stuff as well.
6:00
So it's like the secondary wrestling watching. And then there's obviously the stuff that
6:03
I watch with like my wife, whatever we're trying to watch on a binge,
6:06
watch with Disney Plus or say big fan of the show The Challenge,
6:14
which would probably be a podcast in itself, a MTV Challenge. It's like
6:17
the fifth sport in America. So those are the things that I watch.
6:20
I hopefully that didn't. You know, I give everybody my TV guide right
6:23
there. So I was curious because being you know, you're I guess you
6:29
guys are kind of out of the honeymoon phase of marriage. You know,
6:32
we have we've been together for thirteen years, so yeah, yeah, but
6:36
you're also newly newly wettish. You know. I didn't know if yours and
6:43
your wife's viewing habits started to have now started to trump some of the wrestling
6:48
stuff where she was like, look, I know you watched WrestleMania, but
6:50
we got three episodes of The Bachelor. We catch up. I do know
6:54
what I do. Not That is like, okay, so she's got her
6:57
shows that she watches, whether it be The Bachelor or Dance the Stars of
7:00
American Idol, that type of stuff, and then that would be the other
7:02
side of that would be all the wrestling. So I think she always enjoys
7:06
that I watch wrestling because she can get caught up on her stuff. Gotcha,
7:13
gotcha, by the way, So the funny thing is about either show
7:15
ballers obviously started the Rock sat down and watched it, and my wife goes
7:20
Oh, that's the that's Doulay Heel from Psych. I love Psych, and
7:25
so that is what hooked through watching Ballers with me last night was because there
7:28
was the guy from Psych in that show. Naturally, naturally when people love
7:31
that show. I have never watched Psych, but I've heard that shows great.
7:34
I've heard that and like Suits is like the Mussy shows. It's weird
7:39
because it's so I know we're sidetracking in the toevision, but it's really big
7:42
on Netflix right now because like now will have all the old USA shows,
7:46
White Collars, Suits. They're actually doing a spin off of Suits. I
7:51
think it's coming out next month as well. But those shows are really good.
7:55
But yeah, no, Psych. If you love just like fun comedies,
7:58
like sitcom comedies, is a great show to watch, and that has
8:01
been your fun sitcom comedy with Doctor Trey and Jeff Beck. Let's switch gears
8:07
to professional wrestling, something that I wish was a sitcom with some of the
8:11
decision making that aw has been making as of late. We're coming off of
8:16
a dynamite from last night as we record this Thursday night, handing a Dynasty
8:22
that was really good, very solid, great crowd, great opening, speech
8:26
from John Moxley the week prior, I think is being discussed as one of
8:31
the worst dynamites of all time from several different viewpoints, whether it would be
8:35
the matches that they had, the segments that they had, or more importantly
8:41
the airing of the aw all out backstage footage. So I don't know if
8:46
we mentioned this or not in the podcast, but last week we literally delayed
8:50
our recording because I was watching. By the time it lined up, I
8:56
was watching the aw all Out footage and at that point dot Com Troy had
9:00
not seen it, so I figured we will talk about it a week later,
9:03
watched it, had my quick thoughts, rewatched it again, had very
9:09
similar thoughts. Do not know where Doctor Tray stands on this, but obviously
9:13
everybody knows the backstory. Ciampunk had his interview with Aaron Halani on The MA
9:18
Hour. Gave the first account of anything from Brawl Out, what happened in
9:22
All Out with Jack Perry, what have you? First time we had heard
9:24
anything with all this ndabs and professional wrestling is filled with backstage drama stories.
9:31
I mean literally, they have a show called The Dark Side of the Ring
9:33
because of stuff like that. So we were desperate for it. AW decides
9:39
that they're going to air the footage get some eyes on it. They make
9:41
that announcement on collision during WRESTLMANI a weekend. I've seen the footage, Doctor
9:46
Trey. I assume you have seen the footage. Yeah, I mean,
9:54
first and foremost terrible move by AW. Okay, I guess I should say
10:00
from a before standpoint, before we see anything good move because people want to
10:05
see it, they get to bump the ratings bump. People will tune in
10:09
airing the actual footage, and what I saw and cmpunk's account just being confirmed
10:16
looked utterly ridiculous. I don't know why AW aired the footage. Well I
10:20
do, because they wanted a ratings bump, but they did nothing to help
10:26
their brand. They did nothing to help their product. They confirmed what cmpunk
10:31
said in the interview. Why the hell did they air this footage? Umm?
10:37
And maybe you feel different than me, I mean this is the first
10:39
we're talking about it. Yeah, so I'll say overall, I agree with
10:45
you. To me, the funny part was kind of being on social media
10:48
and immediately it was like ninety percent of people I saw agree with us,
10:52
and then the ten percent that were just you know, being contrarian for the
10:56
sake of being contrarion short as it was literally a try to get a rating
11:01
spike heading into the WrestleMania weekend, and then apparently somebody thought this is a
11:07
good way to tie it into a storyline. And I'm like, like,
11:11
this is where sometimes having actual writers on staff or having no people somebody to
11:20
say no, ye, like this is not a good idea. It's it's
11:24
similar to you know, we always talk about how great the Attitude era was
11:28
for the most part, but then there were certain things that happened that were
11:31
like, yeah, that was cridgeworthy, but we just to say, like
11:35
there nobody would tell Vince no. And I feel like this is a situation
11:41
where somebody had this idea, Tony Cohn goes, yeah, that that'd be
11:46
a great idea, and nobody had the guts to say no or didn't know
11:52
about it enough to tell him no. Like I once again, when you
11:56
watch the footage, like there's no upside for them in this, because,
12:01
like you said, it makes CM punk look like he was telling the truth.
12:05
M you know, Tony Kahn saying he feared for his life. What
12:09
in there did I see that made somebody fear for their life, and it
12:13
made one of their under contract wrestlers look even worse. So I and then
12:20
you get the crowd channing cm Punk, the crowds channing for a guy that
12:26
you guys no longer have under contract, which is gonna make any casual viewer
12:30
go, oh, I wonder what he's doing this weekend. Oh yeah,
12:33
it's wrestle MANI weekend. I should probably make sure I watch that. So
12:37
I don't see what the upside of this whole situation was for them, unless
12:43
it is just too Eventually reintroduced Jack Perry to the AEW crowd and further along
12:52
a storyline that's unnecessary for a show that says they don't need storylines for compelling
12:58
matchups. To create this storyline, FTR Young Budgs matchup is maybe one of
13:01
the dumbest decisions since Cain had coffee spilled on it by Chris Jericho or the
13:09
Was it the shampoo commercial with Booker T and Edge. Yes, Yes that
13:13
led to a WrestleMania match, the shaving of the backs between FTR and USOS
13:20
Hey. They even referenced that, yeah in their promo following that segment.
13:26
Yeah, I mean, there's easier ways to reintroduce Jack Perry than airing that
13:30
footage. If that footage aired and it was like Jack Perry putting CM Punk
13:33
in a choke hold, it made CM Punk look like a liar. I'd
13:37
be sitting here with a different tone of voice being like, oh you know,
13:41
I mean that made Punk look really bad. And he went on Halani
13:43
and said that he controlled the situation for them to air footage, which was
13:48
funny because Halani actually had posted a on the top of the video that I
13:54
saw like maybe thirty minutes after the video aired on Dynamite last week. They
14:01
have Punk telling his side of the story, and right below the video is
14:03
the actual footage. Aw did a copyright refrigement and remove that video even though
14:09
it's close captain television, which I believe is illegal to do in like certain
14:15
countries. People were saying online like you can't do that because in the UK
14:18
it's public access or what have you. Anyway, I mean, they he
14:24
had that footage and it was literally Punk describing the situation perfectly, and I
14:28
was like, okay, so what the like if we're trying to make Punk
14:31
look bad, did not work. The Tony Khan fearing for his life stuff
14:37
makes him look incredibly weak. Now, even though I saw some wrestling journals
14:39
come out and say that the part that made Tony Khan fear for his life
14:43
was not aired, I don't know what that was it. I guess we'll
14:50
never know, but I mean, they could have verbalized the situation and that
14:54
could have been the way to bring back Jack Perry. I fully expect Jack
14:56
Perry to return this Sunday at Dynasty. I fully expect him to be involved
15:01
in a latter match. And this is tipping my hand into who I'm picking,
15:05
but I fully expect him to interfere and cause the result in that match,
15:11
and now you've got Jack Perry back in all elad wrestling. It was
15:16
something that we have heard before where Vince this was a vincick Man move where
15:20
Vince had a buge of his ass and wanted to get back at somebody and
15:26
would do something, whether it was like the self destruction of the Ultimate Warrior
15:31
DVD that had been aired, or you know, different shots that he's taken
15:35
over at wrestlers over the years, and he was the only one in favor
15:39
of it. It was very tedious, It was very It did nothing for
15:43
the product, and I did not walk away. I walked away from that
15:48
segment as a lesser fan of AW than I was before. And I've had
15:54
mike ripes with AW lately. I've been very optimistic when it comes to them
15:58
in their improvement. There are a lot of wrestlers that are on that show
16:03
that I really truly enjoy watching perform, but it has become such a mundane,
16:07
almost boring, very not entertaining at all, lack of creativity that I've
16:15
seen in some times, and I think that has a lot to do with
16:18
what you're seeing play out on WE television right now. I mean, it's
16:21
completely night and day. The n ring work that AW stars do is phenomenal.
16:26
The creative and the entertainment that surrounds that nucleus of the N ring work
16:32
is not there. It is not good at all, and this is another
16:37
case of it. I just thought this was a really bad look for AAW.
16:41
It's not like I'm not going to be a fan of them anymore,
16:44
but I think it alienates the fan base and for those people that are out
16:47
there saying like this is a WCW like move and whether it be supporters of
16:52
AW wrestling journalists employees of AW that are like saying, no, it was
16:56
not. I disagree. I think that was a w CW tactic. Doctor
17:00
Tryan was it was a very very bad move at the end of the day.
17:04
Yeah, when when you started your sins up by saying it was a
17:07
very Vince and then you said, McMahon, I thought you were doing Russo.
17:11
Like to me, this is a this was a very Vince Russo esque
17:15
move. You know, the fingerpoke of Doom getting mad at Hogan, getting
17:18
mad with like anything greative, control wise, all that stuff, you know,
17:22
very w CW two thousand and one type move. It's it's a very
17:26
immature move, Like you're upset because a former wrestler that you editor contract went
17:33
on a you know, medium popular podcast and told his accounting of the story
17:41
and you felt like you had to counter act that where turn the other cheek
17:47
or the old WWE tactic of just doing ignoring the competition might have been better
17:52
for you, Like this is very much like you know, the the angry
17:56
ex girlfriend, you know telling the new girl friend they oh he still texts
18:00
me every now and then. It's just it's a very kind of just immature,
18:04
childish thing, and I think that kind of does also quantify punk statement
18:10
of the leadership at aw so, Like, like I said earlier, it
18:15
to me there's there was no upside to this other than a quick ratings bump,
18:22
you know, and then maybe reintroducing a character that I don't know how
18:29
many people were clamoring for his return as well, so I the bump is
18:34
it? And then once again how many people and I don't know, if
18:38
I don't know, if the rains were last night's show have come out,
18:41
how many people did that piss off that didn't tune in this week to what
18:45
was a really good episode of Dynamites, Like you kind of shot yourself in
18:51
the foot because I know what we might touch on a later but I mean,
18:55
the opening segment with Moxley was really well done. The end of the
18:57
show with Swerven Joe really well done. You just rain Claudio Aspray was a
19:04
fantastic match, you know, jer One hook I could do without. Yes,
19:08
well I didn't know we were going to talk about that, but yeah,
19:11
but overall the show is really well done. You're opening in your clothes,
19:15
which is one thing I've constantly complained about AW is how they segment their
19:21
show. The opening and the clothes were really great, but did you lose
19:26
one hundred thousand viewers because you just pissed off people by showing that footage.
19:30
And basically, you know, for anybody who's been like AW, I believe
19:34
what AW says seem Punk was right. Mm hmm. And that was the
19:38
point I wanted to make to and you said it. There was what Punk
19:44
said about the leadership there and Tony kanbying a detriment to the company, like
19:48
that kind of affirm that his opinion is correct. I like, there's always
19:53
going to be always two sides to every story. But from what I have
19:57
come to know when Cmpunk, for the most part is I have always felt
20:03
like he is a no bullshit, honest type of person, and his interview
20:08
with Aaron Hollani and then the footage and the decision that they made basically confirm
20:14
that to me. So I'm a Punk fan. I'm an AW fan,
20:18
But you know, it was really a moment that I watched it and I
20:25
kind of thought to myself, like, if I wasn't doing a wrestling podcast,
20:29
I may not be watching this product anymore because I really really teeter with
20:36
them lately. It's like they go through a stretch leading into pay per view
20:40
that is really good, like a great build. The Revolution was a great
20:44
build. The stuff with Dynasty for most of the card has been met at
20:52
best. Yeah, but it'll be saved on Sunday when we sit here next
20:56
week because they had a very strong wrestling pay per view. But as what
21:00
I have come to see with WWE over these last six eight months or weeks
21:06
i should say, and months in general, is why am I enjoying the
21:08
product overall than AAW is. While I'm a fan of great inn ring work,
21:15
I need to have a reason to go watch the n ring work.
21:18
And that's the entertainment value that dode Wee is providing right now that I feel
21:21
like AW is not. And if you're like just a pure wrestling fan and
21:23
you don't need storylines and you don't need entertainment around that to get you to
21:29
the table, Like granted I don't need that to go watch well Os Bray
21:32
and Brian Danielson who have had a very good build, but a lot of
21:36
people need that and that's why like AW needs to get out of that niche
21:38
product zone and become more of a modernized, successful product. Like there were
21:45
just some things that I read today and the conference call for Dynasty where somebody
21:52
was like they had asked him, did you regret airing that footage? And
21:56
he said that ratings because the fan backlass online and Tony Kahna said that the
22:02
ratings for the segment were really strong and that is the biggest outlier and like
22:06
the thing that you should go off of and Grennam paraphrasing, and I'm like,
22:10
this is a guy that talked about like listening to his fans, like
22:12
maybe own it a little bit, like this was a mistake, but I
22:15
highly doubt that. Nonetheless, I don't understand why they aired at Doctor Trey.
22:21
I think it was a bad move and I think it was a potentially
22:25
a detrimental move for AW in the long run Doctor Trey. So I don't
22:30
know. I mean, are there ever points for you where you watch the
22:32
product and I feel like you're probably closer to this than I am, just
22:36
in discussions that we've had on the show and even like off air, are
22:40
there moments where you're like, you know, I don't know if I could
22:41
watch six hours of AW a week anymore. Yeah, I mean honestly,
22:49
a lot of times I catch dynamite on the replay, Like I have a
22:52
couple of apps where I can go back and watching if if it's a storyline
22:56
or a match I am not interested in. Yeahd of skim through it.
23:00
And the stuff I'm into is what I kind of like this. This is
23:04
Joe and Swerve. I'm gonna watch that Danielson Ospra, I'm going to watch
23:07
that stuff. You know, those ones make sense to me, But some
23:10
of this other stuff, I'm like, I don't get it and for me
23:15
and maybe I am still the old the old guy yelling at clouds, and
23:18
you know, I need a little bit of good storytelling. And I also
23:22
need stability, like I, you know, people constantly switching sides back and
23:27
forth. You know, I lose intro, I lose track of who am
23:32
I supposed to be cheering for? Again? Who am I supposed to be
23:33
booing? Like? Why is this happening? Like you, I kind of
23:37
need a little depth to it, And it was It's funny that I was
23:41
actually watching. I've been going through watching a lot of the Chris van van
23:45
Valet van Villa, I don't know if that's his last ning, but he
23:49
does all the interview users like that, and I saw one with Disco Eferno
23:52
and I'm like, watching this, I'm like and at one point Disco asked,
23:56
Hi'm like, what's more important to you? Storytelling or the end ringwork?
23:59
And he's like, well, I cind of need both, and I'm
24:00
like, I need both, but I need more storytelling. Because we referenced
24:07
this earlier, like the show Dynasty was a soap opera, wrestling is supposed
24:10
to be a soap opera in a lot of ways. It's supposed to be
24:14
soap operas with violence, you know. And I can go watch two guys
24:19
fight for the sake of fighting. It's called UFC three hundred, But did
24:23
you have see three hundred? Do the amount of buys or views that wrestle
24:26
Maybia did, I'd probably say no. And it's a legitimate combat sport where
24:33
this is a scripted combat sport. But the storytelling is what draws you in.
24:38
It's compelling television, and there are times with Dynamite that I just don't
24:44
think it's good television. And you know, and that's why I'm saying,
24:47
like this week, the episode Dynamite had a great opening and a great ending,
24:51
which made me want to watch Dynasty for the Joe Swerves match because I'm
24:56
intrigued to see where they go with this. But the other stuff and the
25:00
week before, I'm like, God, I do I really want to keep
25:03
chasing this? It's you know, it's it's like, you know, what
25:07
was it? What hero is called? Hero? That is called it chasing
25:10
the dragon to get the good additional high, but the addital high you never
25:14
get that again. And I kind of feel like though AW right now,
25:18
like they're the initial launch of AW was fantastic. We're all excited, and
25:22
we keep waiting for them to get back kind of to that level. It
25:26
just every time they get close, they shoot themselves in the foot and we're
25:30
just left, You're disappointed, scratching our heads. Yeah, like twenty nineteen,
25:33
twenty twenty, and then like a good portion in twenty twenty one,
25:37
AW was really good and then just commpletely tanked. I mean, you're seeing
25:42
it. I mean, look at the attendants. I mean last night,
25:45
even though Indianapolis was such a great crowd for them, the upper levels were
25:48
completely blacked off, tarped off, and there's plenty of pictures online where there's
25:53
empty seats everywhere. I think the wherever they just were for Battle the belts
25:57
On and Collision on Saturday night. I mean, there was a video taken
26:03
and it looked terrible. I mean they did not have people in the farthest
26:07
back of the arena on the first level. I mean there were television sections
26:11
that were completely nobody in the seats, and then very far away in you
26:17
know, like directly behind the attendance excuse me, the announcers booth on back
26:22
it was there was nobody sitting there and it was just it was terrible to
26:26
see. And you can't tell me like wrestling is the hottest it's ever been
26:30
when like they can't fill in an arena in these parts of the country.
26:36
It's just it doesn't doesn't make sense to me. And I know they're going
26:38
to Wembley and they had eighty thousand back in August. I think a lot
26:44
of that had to do with aw finally debuting in the UK, obviously,
26:48
and people wanted to break the attendance record, which they did. Props of
26:51
them, But now I saw ticket sales for All Out London, All in
26:56
London again and I think it's at like forty right now, which would be
27:00
half. I mean, forty thousand is still something that you don't like batch
27:04
your eyes at, but I mean it's literally half of what they did it.
27:08
I feel like they have eroded away a lot of goodwill that they had
27:11
with wrestling fans. And we enjoyed seeing the verbal sparring and the abuse,
27:17
you know, the stuff at w W and all that stuff. But I
27:21
think it just got too much. And even like the tagline they're using right
27:25
now is very wswish where it was, this is where the best wrestle.
27:27
I mean that's literally where the big boys play. I mean, like what
27:32
like they like parody themselves at this point. It just it's absurdity. But
27:37
anyway, that is the all out backstage footage. I will say there was
27:41
a moment where a shot at W I did feel like was justified Doctor Trey,
27:45
and that is when will Ospray took shots at Triple H. That was
27:48
not something that he did on his own. Triple H came out in the
27:52
Pat McAfee show Headed into Wrestling Any Weekend mentioned that there's wrestlers out there that
27:56
don't want to do the grind taking shots at them. Everybody felt like in
28:00
the wrestling world that that was a direct shot at will Ospury, who said
28:03
he wanted a lighter schedule. He came out mentioned about the grind that Triple
28:08
H was talking about and how Triple H, you know, want to be
28:11
in a position that he is today if he didn't grind the boss's daughter.
28:15
Well, I understand that there is, you know, obviously an ounce of
28:18
truth to that. I think it is also safe to say that Triple H
28:21
is a brilliant mind when it comes to creative I will defend that point,
28:26
though, Doctor Try. I will defend that Will Osbray did have to kind
28:29
of give it back to Triple H on this a week ago after Triple H
28:33
basically said those things about him. Well, I'm kind of on the Triple
28:41
A side on this one a little bit because I could say that it's an
28:45
indirect shot at will Osbury. But there's also a lot of guys who take
28:47
the AEW contract because it's a lighter schedule. So there's quite a few guys
28:52
who left WWE or signed with AW because the schedule's lighter. So it's not
28:57
necessarily a shot directly. Will Osprey's just a shot of the different mindsets of
29:03
the generations, because you know, guys like Trepoyte did grind on the independence,
29:07
did go grind on the other card of w CW and make their ways
29:10
up there. Now did he get a position of power because of his relation
29:14
with Stephanie, Yes, absolutely, But I can look at that shot and
29:18
say that wasn't necessarily directed will Ospry. He's just the most recent signing that
29:22
AW has, so it makes it look look more like it's a shot at
29:26
will Osbury. I think wrestling is changing a little bit. I can understand
29:33
your perspective, where from yester years we're learning how important it is for wrestlers
29:40
to get a little bit of a break, be home with family. They
29:42
don't need to be on the road three hundred days a year. And I
29:45
always felt that if WWE got a little bit lighter on their schedule that they
29:49
would be able to attract more top notch free agent talent, which WWE may
29:56
not be looking for. But I think adding oct uh An Osprey to the
30:00
roster would have been phenomenal. I think that there's probably a little bit more
30:06
to it. There was a lot more money offered to Will Ospray, I
30:10
wouldn't be shocked if Osprey is getting some help in travel as well, which
30:15
I don't believe w W stars get. I think that was something I heard
30:19
Dax Hardwood say in an interview. I can understand the Triple H point,
30:25
but what I'm what I'm trying to say is I think will as For anybody
30:29
that says that will Ospray wasn't justified, I believe he was. I think
30:33
he is, and I'm kind of happy that he did because I think from
30:37
an en Ring standpoint, he's really opened eyes to the United States audio audience
30:41
that may not have known him. And I think even on the microphone,
30:44
he's really stepping up and showing that he can he can hang with some of
30:48
the top as well. So I thought I thought it was I thought he
30:52
was justified. Unlike the all out backsage footage. I didn't have an issue
30:56
with what he said because basically, like I said, I don't think Triple
31:00
A was singling him out with that statement. But like I said, he
31:06
is one of those recent sidings. It was well, and he had come
31:08
out and said that he wanted the lighter schedule. Yeah, and I'm sure
31:12
but other wrestlers that have signed with AW have said I took it because I
31:17
wanted the lighter schedule, And a lot of those guys came from the WWE
31:19
world, like a mirro FTR. Moxley, and they also like the freedom
31:25
of being able to go to New Japan or Independence where AW allows it.
31:29
Yeah, and so like I get why, I mean it was I mean
31:33
to me, I look at like he didn't name a name with Tribley said
31:37
he didn't name a name, but it wasn't If you're a wrestling fan,
31:42
I feel like you knew he was talking about just because it was so fresh
31:45
in everyone's mind. But I could have said the same thing that he might
31:48
have even say that about Katak because O Katak's of the same deal. Is
31:52
it that Ospray came out and said that's what I'm saying. Yeah, Okada
31:56
didn't come out and say that stuff. Osprey did. Did he want the
32:00
lighter schedule was more appealing to him given his family situation, but it Conda
32:04
might have said it to WWE in the negotiation. I don't think they ever
32:08
reached that far. I don't think according to what we're reading here, I
32:12
don't think there was overtures, but I don't think w w WE ever gotten
32:15
any type of negotiations with either one of those guys. Like my thing was,
32:20
I would say, like, I understand why Osprey took it to me
32:22
once again, being you know, up in the upper management, you have
32:27
to say things that sound vague. But I also know why when people say
32:30
things that are vague about me, and I know it's a shot at me,
32:34
you know. So I don't have a problem with Osprey saying what he
32:37
said because he took Richard Blade said as a shot at him. I think
32:42
that you understand, like you say things to be vague to not single out
32:47
well an employee or somebody that you tried to bring onto your team. But
32:52
I can say why an employee or that person would take it personally well,
32:55
I mean, Will Ospray didn't say Triple H all he you know, basically
33:02
said his name, and everybody in the wrestling world believes that Triple H was
33:07
talking about Will Ospray without saying Will Osprey's name in that situation. So I
33:12
just felt like Ospray didn't bring that to himself. He didn't come out of
33:16
left field and decided to do that they came at him. I think it's
33:22
different to me when comparing the all out backstage footage situation with a Tony Kahn
33:31
and cmpunk, then it would be will Ospray Triple H because, like CM
33:35
Punk was asked the question, said it very matter of factly, was honest
33:39
about it, and then it was confirmed and basically accomplished nothing. Both guys
33:45
in Ospray Triple H didn't say each other's names and we all were just left
33:50
for the imagination. I think Ospray goes down as one of the biggest regrets
33:55
that WW will have in this timeframe of not signing him. I mean he
33:59
I have been absolutely blown away by him Doctor Trap. I've I've watched him
34:02
in New Japan. We obviously saw him in AW a little bit frequently.
34:07
I have been blown away by every single one of his matches so far because
34:09
you get to see it on a consistent basis, and I have been very
34:13
blown away by his in his microphone work and his character development as well.
34:17
Oh yeah, now, to me from from the last from that last week,
34:21
Ospray came out looked like a bigger star like Ospray basically didn't back down
34:25
from triple ah, which I applaud him for that, whereas the all inputs
34:30
I think just made the leadership at AW look bad. So I think Ospray
34:35
looks good at what he did, Tony Kann looks bad at what he and
34:38
I agree like Ospray entering obviously phenomenal. We all knew that his promo work
34:44
is far better than I gave him credit. Point Like, the dude's a
34:50
natural to MIC. He knows how to connect to the crowd. He knows
34:52
how to work a crowd. He knows how to get his you know,
34:54
get his quibs or jabs in where it's maybe a little subtle and the crowd
35:00
goes, ooh, I know what he's talking about. So that's one of
35:02
the little tricks that when you're cutting a promo, it feels like if you
35:07
feel like you're letting the audience in on something, they attract to you more
35:10
sy and punts. Maybe the greatest of all time when it comes to that.
35:16
So Ospray of the last week just has increased his star power immensely just
35:22
between the promo from last week the match with Claudio this week. And I'm
35:27
really interesting to see what the end result of what happens that dynasty with Ospray
35:31
and Danielson is because we're entering in this little Blackpool Combat Club don Kallas Family
35:38
viewed and Ospray kind of seems to be, I don't want to say caught
35:43
in the middle, but he's not really wrestling like a full heel. But
35:47
you know, the the damn club is named Blackpool Combat and Ospray is from
35:52
the UK, so it's gonna be interesting how postmatch, how that whole thing
35:57
shakes out. He is coming out of the big face tunnel as well.
36:00
So yeah, I mean that has been when I look at the AW Dynasty
36:05
card and I'm like, where have they been good? Creatively? The Danielson
36:08
Osprey stuff has been very good creatively, and like the stuff with Blackpool Combat
36:13
Club and the don Kallis family has been very good as well, and it's
36:15
starting to bubble up to finally reach some sort of crescendo potentially at Sunday's AW
36:21
Dynasty switching gears to WWE, where they made the right signing. This past
36:28
addition, as SmackDown, we saw the debut of Talmatanga, who has been
36:31
over in New Japan for ten plus years. Phenomenal wrestler, really great personality.
36:38
Joins w appears on SmackDown, aligns with the bloodline, takes out Jimmy
36:44
Usso. And the biggest question from this, Doctor Trey, which is the
36:46
part where WW is absolutely killing it creatively, is what does this mean?
36:52
Is solosikoa the new tribal chief by orders of the tribal Chief? Did Roman
36:59
reigns and Toma Tung gonna do that to take out Jimmy Uso and didn't tell
37:01
the wise Man Paul Hayman, which is which is something that he didn't do
37:07
is Roman reigns were turning as a babyface. Eventually, just when you think
37:13
the bloodline is idle and could be dormant until Roman returns, they execute this
37:20
angle on Friday's SmackDown and breathe new life into it. To me, Doctor
37:23
Trey, old school wrestling fan, it felt like post WrestleMania fourteen, when
37:30
Shawn Michaels lost the title to Stone Cold Ze Vas and the Austin Era began
37:35
Degeneration X is running rampant. Michaels went away for a while. The next
37:39
night on Raw Triple HS starts his own Degeneration X. The DX Army with
37:45
the Outlaws and x PAC. I felt like that Roman loses the match,
37:51
loses the title. Solosakoa is taking over as the tribal chief. This is
37:55
his bloodline, and he brings tom Atunga along, and I got to figure
38:00
that other people are on their way as well. There's rumors that Jacob Fatu
38:05
from MLW Champion Assignment w WA, which would be a natural fit there.
38:09
What does this all mean, doctor Trey Tomatungua joining the bloodline, Jimmy us
38:14
out and the phrase by the orders of the tribal Chief. It's interesting because
38:22
I kind of I don't know if they're ready to put Solo in that spot,
38:28
I think. And here's the thing, I still think they're trying to
38:30
figure it out, because the one thing they did with Solo last week was
38:35
they gave him a lot more speaking lines. We haven't heard Solo talk a
38:37
whole lot over the last year and a half. And by the way,
38:40
I'm sorry for you here, coffee. I have a six five year old,
38:44
oh hanging there, Sammy. Sammy's little under the weather right now,
38:47
but he's hanging out with dad watching TV with me while we do the show.
38:52
I think They're still trying to figure this out because we all know at
38:55
some point they want Rock and Roman to go one on one, and you
39:00
saw on Raw after Estimated Rocks still kind of playing the heel. So if
39:07
that's the case, you kick Jimmy out, Roman's off TV, Jay's on
39:12
Raw, you have this new bloodline start running rampant, and then you can
39:15
always circle back and reunite the USOS and Roman together against this new blood line.
39:21
I still think that the right now. I think on paper, the
39:24
new tribal chief is the Rock, and then that's where you get Rock,
39:30
Solo, Tamatanga, and Jacob Fatu against I guess the og bloodline of you
39:36
know, Roman, the USO's and maybe a Sammy's ain coming back into the
39:40
mix for a Wargames match or something like that. But if Solo kills it,
39:45
then you don't need the Rock to step back into a leadership role and
39:50
Solo can run, you know, on TV. I think they're still trying
39:53
to figure out if Fellow's ready to take that step or if they have the
39:59
Rock and lines it back a plan to eventually get back to Rock and Roman
40:01
one on one, and that's the beauty of storytelling, right, Doctor Trey
40:06
is it leads you to wonder what the hell they're leading to right now?
40:08
Right? Oh? Yeah? And I and I guarantee you if you watched
40:12
SmackDown last week, you're probably gonna turn the SmackDown this week just to see
40:16
what happens next. And that was always the great wrestling days of our youth.
40:22
Was always that little cliffhanger to see what's going to happen next with at
40:27
least one spot in the show, you know, whether it's you know,
40:30
the new bloodline or uh, you know, Chad Gable turning on Sammy's saying,
40:37
there's always some kind of hook that makes you want to come back and
40:40
watch the next episode. So your ultimate prediction is what here? You think
40:50
the Rock is behind this? Yeah? I think I think The Rock is
40:53
gonna be the one. I don't I don't know if we'll get The Rock
40:55
into Roman in a war Games match, but I think it comes down to
40:59
a blood line civil war where the Rock aligns himself with this younger generational talent
41:06
of Hanawai family, and then you have the O G bloodline on the other
41:09
side, like Solo Jacobu, Toma, Tunka, the Rock taking on Roman
41:15
the USO's and like Sammy Zane, Yeah, something like that, that would
41:19
be pretty bad. I think Roman's coming back as babyface. A lot of
41:22
it's also because a lot of the people that they're like, you know,
41:27
all the flowers Roman's been given, you know, whether it's by Triple Ah,
41:30
by Cody, all the all the respect that he's been given, and
41:35
it's like, du way, your character ran rough shots over a company for
41:39
three years. If that guy loses, then people aren't going on TV and
41:45
saying what a you know, what a great champion he was, what a
41:47
great leader he was. They were like, yeah, we're glad the a
41:51
hole's gone. If the plan is were to come back as he here,
41:54
So to me, the bigger payoff is gonna be see, just like the
42:00
reuniting, it's gonna be the Bloodline reunite. Its be the big payoff down
42:02
the road. Yeah. Yeah, it's It's interesting. It definitely has me
42:07
intrigue to watch SmackDown and it was like you kind of forgot how good the
42:10
Bloodline storyline is and then they picked it back up again. I mean,
42:15
they have been so dormant since Oh my god, I felt like almost an
42:19
entire year where I just did not care about the bloodline like I did,
42:22
the bloodline storyline like I did, until like recently they got me back in
42:29
and now we'll see where it leads to next week the thing and to see
42:32
you have Cody back on SmackDown, and I love the whole thing where you
42:36
saw Jimmy and Solo and Paul walking down the hall heading to the locker room,
42:39
and then you thought Cody's name on the big locker room. Is that
42:45
if Jimmy's out, you've got to find new challengers for the bloodline, you
42:50
know, for in the in the meantime before they come back, it's like,
42:52
well, who do you move into that slot to be the number two
42:55
babyface to fight Solo and Toma and go that direction. So means to see
43:00
how they positioned it. Well, we'll see now with the draft coming up
43:04
and uh yeah, she's the one in ten days, which we will preview
43:08
and give some predictions on that on next week's edition the podcast, Doctor Trede.
43:13
Did you notice that the sidebar here? This is not something I wrote
43:15
down, but did you notice that they're calling Cody the undisputed w w E
43:20
Champion now and not in universal. I think I don't. I think a
43:23
lot of people always hated the term universal hand up. Yeah, So I
43:29
think that's just their way of subtly dropping it. They just have to get
43:34
rid of undisputed next. Yeah, I mean that's stupid. I think part
43:38
of the problem with that is right now, that that's part of Cody's tagline
43:42
from you know, it was unwanted to undesirable, to undeniable, universal or
43:49
undisputed, because I can always say, well, technically, if there's a
43:52
world champion on the other show, it's always in dispute. But you know
43:57
there, yeah, yeah, little subtle stuff. Unfortunate news in w W
44:02
on Monday, Rhea Ripley vacates the w Women's World Championship due to injury.
44:07
Legitimate injury. She was injured in the backstage segment would Live Morgan. Her
44:10
title ram went three hundred and eighty days. It was just seven days ago.
44:15
I said to you, doctor Trey, I don't know who or what
44:19
stops Rhea Ripley, And I guess the who is Lived Morgan? And the
44:23
what is a brick wall? Legitimately? So I mean, what a damn
44:28
shame man. Four to six weeks they said, or I think it was
44:34
like two to three months she may be out and four to six weeks she
44:37
can't do anything. The hope is that she may be back by SummerSlam.
44:40
The thing from this is that a natural double turn has potentially taken place where
44:45
Rha Ripley is the babyface and Live Morgan is now getting booed and she addressed
44:50
in a promo which I thought was brilliant on w we's part. All in
44:53
all, I mean, it'll come back, We'll we'll get it, you
44:57
know, hopefully by Summer Slam, Ria Ripley will be back. But I
45:00
mean to miss who you and I named is last year's SRTU Wrestler of the
45:05
Year for any amount of time, not to train and to see this title
45:07
reign end, Like this really really sucks. Yeah, and and it probably
45:14
changes the draft plans for WWE as well. It changes you know, their
45:21
their creative story plans a little bit too, so they have to shift everything.
45:23
Like I'm still a little confused why people were booing Live for attacking Rhea
45:29
other than like just everybody wants to cheer for Rihea anyway, And it's it's
45:34
just weird that like I thought, on paper Live might have been maybe number
45:37
two, number three most favorite female wrestler in WWE, because I know the
45:43
crowd loves Live and to have this happen, it's like, Okay, we
45:45
gotta make Live a heel. It's like, well, Rihea's getting cheered,
45:49
but the judgment day gets booed, but she's still in the Judgment day sometimes
45:53
like you just gotta go. Look, I know you guys want to cheer
45:55
her, give us time to give you a reason to cheer her. Getting
46:00
attacked by one hundred and five pound woman is not usually the reason to all
46:05
of a sudden start cheering Riha as the underdog. Yeah. I just think
46:09
people are obviously very upset that she's off television now and this rain is over
46:14
right by the way. By the way, do you like the long hair
46:16
Andria? I mean, I don't have much hair. I don't know if
46:22
I can comment on that. I'm I'm yeah, I mean, I'm I'm
46:25
down with it. I mean I think looks amazing. Yeah no, but
46:30
I mean for me, I would be Look, I've been looking forward to
46:32
Living Ria going at it because I thought it would really cement Live as a
46:36
top baby face it's just really hard to hate Live because she's so small.
46:40
It's a little bit of the Alexa Blizz, a little bit of the Raybisteria,
46:44
Like they're just they're just so much smaller than everybody else. You kind
46:46
of want to cheer for them. But I mean, if this is the
46:50
way to do it and make Live a psycho, then that that's that that'll
46:53
work too, because I think she's good at playing either character. Yeah,
46:57
I'm a huge fan of Live Morgan, so I did not think that this
47:00
was a double turn. So I'm actually kind of surprised by the crowd reaction
47:05
and also her reaction in the promo because I don't think her turning heel is
47:09
necessarily the way to go, Like, you don't need to really change either
47:13
character. I mean, all it takes is they're going to crown a new
47:15
champion on Monday's Raw. All it really takes is like Nia Jacks to lay
47:19
out Live Morgan and Live Morgan being this underdog baby face and people are back
47:23
into liking Live Morgan again. I think, yeah, you put her up
47:27
against Nia Jacks and people are gonna be cheering for her. So it'll be
47:30
interesting with the direction of that is of that title following next week's when You
47:34
and I talk next week. Yeah, and if you want to keep Rihea
47:36
as a babyface that she comes back, all you gotta do really to do
47:38
at backstage segment go Look, look, I understand why you're mad, but
47:40
look, I have so much respect for what you did, Like I would
47:45
have done the same thing if I have been in your position. Boom,
47:46
Now you have few baby faces out of it. People certainly want to cheer
47:50
for her. They certainly want to cheer for the Judgment Day, which is
47:52
wild because like ri is so over, Damian so over, Finn is moderately
47:59
over over, JD is over. From like a funny standpoint, but everybody
48:02
hates dom I mean, one of the best heels in the business today,
48:06
So it's like they could turn Judgment Day babyface, but then that kind of
48:10
ruins the allure of everything that's going on with Dominant Mysterio as well. So
48:15
typically babyface stables never work. No, I think the only time they work
48:22
is when you like you know. I hate to go back to this,
48:23
but d X was such a huge part of my childhood growing up, and
48:28
they didn't change them at all. They just they were still the same character.
48:31
They just aligned with different people. They helped out Mike Foley and people
48:35
loved them for it. They went after people that we didn't like as heels
48:39
like the Nation of Domination and that stuff works, and that's what cemented them
48:44
as a baby face. They had to fight another stable that was more hated
48:47
than they were. Yeah, so I don't know. I don't know who
48:50
judgment they would face right now that is more hated final testament, I don't
48:53
know, imperium true, great point, very good point with that said,
48:59
and I think it's coming soon. I think a Damian gun thrifeud could be
49:02
on the horizon if Drew McIntyre, I guess does not resign with the company
49:06
soon. All right, AW Dynasty preview predictions here. It's this Sunday from
49:10
the Chavetz Arena in Saint Louis, Missouri. Let's go through the car here,
49:14
doctor Tray and give our predictions. The first match here is the acclaimed
49:17
and Billy Gunn representing the AW World Trios Champions taking on Bullet Club Gold,
49:22
who is the ROH World six Man Tag Team Championship Champions. And this was
49:27
announced on the conference call today that this is a oh god, what's the
49:32
word I'm looking for here? Where they merge the titles unification unification match.
49:37
It's late, I'm and I'm having a brain fart unification match, so these
49:43
titles are roh titles I guess are going away. I'm gonna take Bullet Club
49:47
Gold in this one, Doctor Trey, Who do you like in this one?
49:52
You know, if this match is like six months ago, how excited
49:53
I would be for this match, But like right now, I think like
49:57
both factors are kind of struggling. Though. I'm gonna take Bullet Club Gold
50:00
just because they're a little bit more entertaining than being claimed. And this is
50:05
an example of poor creative Adam Copeland, Eddie Kakeson, and Mark Brisco taking
50:08
on the House of Black and a trios match. Who do you like this
50:10
one? Doctor Try? Uh, this one's a little tricky, So I'm
50:14
gonna take the House of Black because it's the trios match. Although you have
50:17
the TNT Champion, the Ring of Outer World Champion, and the first kind
50:21
of Classic Champion on one team, I'm gonna take the House of Black.
50:25
I guess I think that that way they can get a solid win and it
50:29
doesn't damage any of their three singles superstars on the other team. I'm gonna
50:34
take the House of Black as well, because I feel like a Malachi Black
50:37
and Adam Copeland match with a T and T Championship, a double or nothing's
50:39
gonna be on the card, and I think they want to reward Malachi Black
50:44
for helping move cmpunk down the hallway during the all out back Sage scuffle along
50:47
with Crassiro, who was covering his face. Fta W rules match with the
50:52
FTW Championship hook Defense against Chris Jericho. This has been really bad creative and
50:58
it's actually gotten to the point where I think people are people think that it's
51:00
bad creative purposely. Now I'm gonna take Chris Jericho, Doctor Trey see I.
51:07
I, for one, I don't know what FTW rules are. It's
51:10
like anything goes, It's like E c W hardcore mats. So this is
51:15
where Jericho turns full heel again. I guess a big show, big show.
51:21
So yeah, I'm taking Jericho's I was oest surprised. I thought you
51:24
might take hooking this one, but I'm taking Jericho as well. No,
51:28
that doesn't make sense to keep the title on hook. Honestly, Roger Strong
51:31
defends the aw International Championship against Kyle O'Reilly. This has been decent build,
51:37
Doc Tray, who do you like in this one? Uh? It's been
51:40
a decent Bill. I'm just surprised that you have, like Rocky Romero being
51:44
a center point in a feud. But no, I'm taking Roderick Strong.
51:49
You just took the belts off Orange cast that you put it on Roderick Strong.
51:52
Adam Cole's not on TV right now. I just figured the edesby Kames
51:55
and get involved and caused Kyle to match. Yeah, I'm gonna take roder
51:59
Strong as well. And I just saw a report that due to his ankle
52:01
injury, they've told Adam Cole not to be traveling as much, which is
52:06
a damn shame. I mean, he has had such bad luck. The
52:09
pressure from airlines affects like circulation issues. Yeah, and I don't want to,
52:16
but I mean, this is what happened to Candino. Yeah, yeah,
52:20
yeah, I don't obviously, you know, we don't want that at
52:22
all. Adam Cols just got to get a bus and just like John Madden
52:28
traveling. God man, what a tough couple of years for one of the
52:30
best in business. Julia Hart defends the AWTBS Championship in any house rules match
52:37
against Willow Nightingale. I'm going to take Willow Nightingale because I believe Julia Hart
52:40
is hurt. There was a report about that a couple of weeks ago that
52:44
her shoulders banged up. She barely wrestled on Dynamite, and I think this
52:46
could be a potential squash match on Sunday after Troy because of the injury.
52:51
I'm taking Willow. Yeah, and plus you gotta get the Willow Mercedes payoff
52:55
as well. So this is a way for Julia Hart to go off TV
52:59
for a little bit. They just gotta do something. It was a squash
53:01
man. You built this Julia Harden character to be so strong, like I
53:06
don't know, you gotta do some kind of weird thing for it to be
53:07
a good squash match. Sky Blue turns on her because aw loves turns because
53:13
it's go. Okada defends the aw Continental Championship against Pac Doctor Trey. Who
53:16
do you like in this one? Let's see, we just gave a Kada
53:20
bunch of money. We just aligned in with Matthew and Nicholas. As much
53:23
as I love Pak this, this is still Ocada's match to win. Yeah,
53:27
I'm taking Ocada as well. The Young Bucks take on FTR and I
53:30
Ladder match for the vacant AW World Tag Team Championship. I think Jack Perry
53:35
is back in this match, back in the Folding AW, and he helps
53:37
the Young Bucks win. So I have the Bucks become the new AW Tag
53:40
Team Champion SoC to try. Yeah, that was my booking plans for Well
53:44
does that mean that? Does that mean Jack Perry is now going to be
53:46
in the elite? Oh yeah, yeah absolutely? Okay some natural heat there.
53:53
Next match is Timeless Tony Storm defending the AW Women's World Championhip against thunder
53:58
Rosa. I could care less about this match. I gotta be honest.
54:00
Doctor Trey Bill has not been interesting to me. I love Tony Storm,
54:05
I love that character, but yeah, I really don't care at all about
54:07
this match up. I'm taking Tony Storm just because I still like the character.
54:12
Honestly, don't care who wins. I'm taking Timeless Tony Storm as well.
54:15
I feel like Doctor Burt Baker's do for a return. That would be
54:17
a bigger match for double or nothing. I do care about this match.
54:22
Will Ospray take it on Brian Danielson. I got will Ospray, Doctor Troy,
54:27
I got Ospray, and then I have Ospray I guess going full babyface
54:31
afterwards. I think the cows family gets involved. And then will Ospray defends
54:36
Brian Daeldson the Black Bull Combat Club against the Takeshka and Will Hobbs and whoever
54:42
else Don Callas can dig up at the moment. And then finally, Simojoe
54:45
defends the aw World Championship against Strickland Doctor Trey. Who do you like in
54:49
this one? I gotta pick Swerve of here because if he doesn't win it,
54:53
now, when does he win it? This is what second shot?
54:59
Now, he had the triple threat match and in this one, I gotta
55:02
take swerve right now. I think he's the hottest guy in the company.
55:07
H Joe doesn't always need a belt, so I think you got to capitalize
55:12
on swore while he's hot. I got Swerve win of this match. Yeah,
55:15
I like you. This is like the Cody Road stuff from Wrestumating a
55:19
Night too. I mean, if Cody didn't win that, then win will
55:21
he win it? So? I mean that's how I feel, exactly what
55:23
you said. If Swerve Strickland doesn't win this match now, then when does
55:27
he win this at all? I mean, this would be really a detriment
55:30
to his character at this point. And does he keep Nana afterwards, because
55:34
I use full fledged babyface, but nanas still managing the gates of agony is
55:37
heels. So that's the only way that I could see Somemojo winning. Funny
55:40
enough, is if Nana turns on Swerve and aligned with samo Joe. Yeah,
55:46
but I just I want to see the Nana dance if he's still wins
55:50
Swerve after he wins the title. Yeah, I think it's time. I
55:52
think it's time. I think there they are a couple months too late at
55:55
this point for putting the title on Swurve Strickland, but I think this is
55:59
the time. I mean legitimately, if they don't put the title on him,
56:01
I think this could be a detriment to his character for the rest of
56:05
the only other finish I came up with was that Adam Page comes out and
56:07
costs more of the title. Yeah, that's that's the too. No matter
56:12
what they do interfering, I just feel like that they missed the But this
56:15
is reminding me of a couple of years ago where everybody wanted Daniel Garcia to
56:19
turn baby face and become like a wrestler, and AW did not go in
56:24
that direction at all, completely missed the boat, and I thought it was
56:27
a detriment to Daniel Garcia for like the next year. I feel like that
56:30
they should have made Spurf Strickland AW world champion like four months ago. Yeah,
56:36
but I would also kept him as a heel and just look the croucher
56:37
for him. I agree with you. Yeah, it's the same thing with
56:42
MJF turned babyface. I was just like, did he turn baby face?
56:45
Really like? It's like, I still like the betters a heel. To
56:49
me, the chase is always in the heel champion because merchandise sales, you
56:54
can sell more baby face T shirts if he rotate the baby faces chasing the
56:58
heel. Well. MJF came extremely corny an email, yes, which was
57:02
not why his character got over. So there you go. There is AW
