- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast. All right, let's go to Nat
- 0:03Speaker 1: and get a hit of celebrity gossip. What's going on?
- 0:05Speaker 2: It came out yesterday that Hilary Swank, the actress, you'd
- 0:09Speaker 2: know her from Million Dollar Baby. She also did PSA
- 0:11Speaker 2: Love You. She's expecting her third child.
- 0:15Speaker 1: At the age of 52.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Wow. Now, she's already got three-year-old twins. So this year
- 0:21Speaker 2: will be her third child.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Second pregnancy.
- 0:23Speaker 2: But everyone online is kind of saying, you know, that's
- 0:26Speaker 2: old to have children as a woman. Just like, you know,
- 0:30Speaker 2: even from in the eyes of medicine, you're a geriatric
- 0:34Speaker 2: pregnancy from 35.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Even having twins at 49, like.
- 0:39Speaker 3: It's not so much that obviously hopefully she's got lots
- 0:42Speaker 3: of care and doctors around her and stuff so she
- 0:45Speaker 3: can carry full term. It's more about once they're out
- 0:50Speaker 3: and they're alive and they're running around, like you just
- 0:52Speaker 3: don't have the stamina you do as a, you know,
- 0:54Speaker 3: 20 or 30-year-old when you're 50.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Well, she's very fit, but even then it's just like, okay,
- 0:59Speaker 2: for this math, so when her child, this newborn that
- 1:03Speaker 2: she'll have, turns 18, she'll be 70.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? That's old to be
- 1:10Speaker 1: a parent.
- 1:10Speaker 2: But, I mean, she obviously wanted to extend her family,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and she actually opened up recently about being a mum
- 1:17Speaker 2: when she had her twins. And she said she feels
- 1:19Speaker 2: like she now has more patience. She's done a lot
- 1:21Speaker 2: of personal work. And she says it would have been
- 1:24Speaker 2: different in her 20s and 30s, so implying that she
- 1:26Speaker 2: believes she's a better.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Mother now than she would have been at a younger age.
- 1:30Speaker 2: But it's just hard not to look at a 52-year-old
- 1:32Speaker 2: and think there's so many elements there where it makes–
- 1:35Speaker 2: You know, it's even just more dangerous.
- 1:37Speaker 1: The pregnancy is a whole lot more dangerous, but she'd
- 1:39Speaker 1: have top medical care, I guess.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Definitely more dangerous, but I do feel for the kids,
- 1:42Speaker 3: if anything. Like I think I'm 40 and my mum's 70,
- 1:46Speaker 3: and my mum's been there for my weddings and my
- 1:48Speaker 3: brother's weddings and the birth of my children, so she
- 1:51Speaker 3: gets to experience being a grandma. She obviously won't be
- 1:54Speaker 3: able to really experience that.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Anyway, each to their own. So it's going to be
- 1:58Speaker 1: hard for me when I get around to it. Yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 1: you better start procreating, otherwise you're.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Going to be 52 too. I wouldn't have a problem
- 2:05Speaker 3: with that.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Well, it's because you're the dad as well. You don't
- 2:09Speaker 1: have to carry the baby.
- 2:10Speaker 2: No.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 3: But is that a 52-year-old bloke?
- 2:12Speaker 1: Is that too old to have kids? I don't think
- 2:15Speaker 1: it's as important. It'd be 72 when they're 20.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just a lot tougher on a woman's body
- 2:23Speaker 3: when they're a bit older. Yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But the dude, it doesn't matter. Well, you can't get pregnant. No,
- 2:28Speaker 1: but I mean being a father. Yeah, it's still going
- 2:30Speaker 1: to be hard for you. Kids are a lot of work.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Are they?
- 2:34Speaker 1: They're exhausting, yeah. Also, Harry Styles.
- 2:37Speaker 2: So he's performing at the Madison Square Garden at the moment.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And you know how, I've told you before, he walks
- 2:44Speaker 2: to his concerts. So he just like puts sunnies on,
- 2:47Speaker 2: walks like literally from his accommodation wherever he's staying.
- 2:49Speaker 1: He just walks there. Doesn't get a car.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Literally, there's so many photos of him just walking down
- 2:54Speaker 2: the street to his own shows.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It's something he likes to do. That's cool.
- 2:57Speaker 2: I don't know why, but good on him for it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And while he was actually on stage performing, he noticed
- 3:02Speaker 2: a girl in the crowd and he pointed out to her, oh,
- 3:04Speaker 2: I was walking behind you on the way here.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Let's have a listen.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Because when I was walking here today, I was walking
- 3:11Speaker 3: right behind you.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I know this because I saw this.
- 3:18Speaker 3: In my own face.
- 3:20Speaker 1: With these red circles poking out from behind me.
- 3:24Speaker 3: As you were walking, I thought, I think she might
- 3:27Speaker 3: be going to the show.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Oh, that's kind of cool. He's just a walker. You
- 3:31Speaker 1: know how some people love walking places? I'm not that person.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I don't know if it's because I'm getting worse at
- 3:36Speaker 2: it now because I'm pregnant as well, but I just
- 3:37Speaker 2: don't want to walk anywhere right now. Also, wouldn't he
- 3:40Speaker 2: just be getting swarmed on the street or is he
- 3:42Speaker 2: in like disguise?
- 3:44Speaker 1: Nah, he's kind of just wearing, like, he's wearing a
- 3:46Speaker 1: hat and sunnies.
- 3:47Speaker 2: But if you're a Harry Styles fan, you'd know that
- 3:49Speaker 2: that's Harry Styles. But he must just be one of
- 3:51Speaker 2: those people that's like, oh, New York's got traffic. Why
- 3:54Speaker 2: would I bother getting a car when I can just
- 3:56Speaker 2: walk there? Yeah, nah.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Fair play, though. Nah, never walk if you don't have to.
