- 0:00Speaker 1: I mean, we got a six hour plane ride home.
- 0:02Speaker 2: You know it's going to be less than six hours.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I think, do you have reading?
- 0:06Speaker 2: Do I reading? I have Marquette?
- 0:08Speaker 3: Oh okay, well I want first of all, we got
- 0:12Speaker 3: to start defensively. My god, you guys were good today.
- 0:15Speaker 2: We were good. We were very good. I thought our
- 0:18Speaker 2: pressure was good. I thought we really really focused on
- 0:23Speaker 2: what we wanted to do and try to limit their
- 0:25Speaker 2: best players. I thought we did a terrific job on
- 0:27Speaker 2: Jazzy Davidson. She's a really good players, had a great
- 0:30Speaker 2: year so far, and I thought we made it very
- 0:32Speaker 2: difficult for her to operate.
- 0:34Speaker 4: It seems offensively that you had a lot of different scoring.
- 0:38Speaker 4: It started strong with Williams and the paint, getting the
- 0:41Speaker 4: points in the paint, but opportunities everywhere with good ball movement.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought we thought that they would have difficulty
- 0:48Speaker 2: guarding our movement and that's what the that's what happened.
- 0:51Speaker 2: I mean, I thought we made some really great cuts
- 0:53Speaker 2: and good passing. We shared the ball and we were
- 0:55Speaker 2: very balanced, very balanced, and you know, I don't and
- 0:58Speaker 2: it's funny because Sarah's strong didn't have one of her
- 1:02Speaker 2: best scoring games, but still has an impact on the game.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I thought Azy played really well on both ends of
- 1:07Speaker 2: the floor. We rebounded the ball well, which was good.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We just got you know, we have to It's part
- 1:13Speaker 2: of only being in nine games. We have to be
- 1:15Speaker 2: a little bit smarter, not foul as much, especially in
- 1:18Speaker 2: the fourth quarter.
- 1:19Speaker 1: CDI.
- 1:19Speaker 3: This was a game that had eight lead changes in
- 1:21Speaker 3: the first seven minutes. Blanca Kenyonas comes in and totally
- 1:25Speaker 3: changes the game, starts a fifteen to nothing run.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Her contributions were big today.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Yeah. The only thing with Blanc is sometimes you don't
- 1:32Speaker 2: know if she's gonna help you or the other team.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It can happen both in the same possession. Some days it's,
- 1:37Speaker 2: you know, she helps us and then the next possession she
- 1:39Speaker 2: helps them. But she just you know, can change. Like
- 1:42Speaker 2: you said, she can come in and change the game
- 1:44Speaker 2: immediately on both ends. She did on the defensive end
- 1:47Speaker 2: and was able to get layups, and just the more
- 1:50Speaker 2: experience she gets with us because you know, and I
- 1:53Speaker 2: think we mentioned I don't know if we talked about this,
- 1:54Speaker 2: the shot clock. So she played the overseas where the
- 1:57Speaker 2: shot clock and they had only eight seconds to get
- 1:59Speaker 2: the ball over half court. So she is sped up constantly,
- 2:02Speaker 2: whereas we want to take a breath sometime. So balancing
- 2:05Speaker 2: her quickness and her speed and those abilities with you know,
- 2:10Speaker 2: score time situation. I think as she gets more experience here,
- 2:16Speaker 2: I think it'll help her.
- 2:17Speaker 4: You talk about I feel an unsung hero role that
- 2:21Speaker 4: in her role, Ashley, she does a lot of good
- 2:23Speaker 4: things too. It just happens to you know, feed the
- 2:26Speaker 4: aggressor on defense, does what she needs to do on offense.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Just you know, one of those une sung roles that
- 2:31Speaker 4: seems to do a really good job with well.
- 2:32Speaker 2: And today she knocked in shots too, so she, like
- 2:37Speaker 2: you said, it's another position where I think she we
- 2:39Speaker 2: have kids on our team that are just willing to
- 2:41Speaker 2: do what we need them to do at that point.
- 2:43Speaker 2: And Ash today ended up getting double digits, knocked in
- 2:47Speaker 2: some threes, made some really good help, you know, showed
- 2:50Speaker 2: up some defensively, was able to help us out. She's hard,
- 2:55Speaker 2: you know, when ash is playing like that, it's hard
- 2:57Speaker 2: to take her out of the game, you know. So
- 2:59Speaker 2: I think she ended up playing it maybe the entire.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Third quarter or yeah, scored eight points doing that third quarter.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah, so she you know, that's certainly the balance and
- 3:09Speaker 2: just being able to put people in and just having
- 3:11Speaker 2: them do their job. With the Jane, I thought, gave
- 3:13Speaker 2: us good minutes off the bench just to do your job,
- 3:16Speaker 2: do what we need you to do at that time.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Nothing crazy, just you know, fill.
- 3:21Speaker 1: In final thing for me. One great thing about today.
- 3:24Speaker 3: You had a big lead at halftime, you basically put
- 3:26Speaker 3: pedal to the metal in the fourth, kept them out,
- 3:28Speaker 3: kept the foot down the throat, and you.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Finished them a good yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I thought in some of our previous
- 3:34Speaker 2: games the third quarter, you know, we were a little
- 3:36Speaker 2: more lackadaisical, and I thought we did a good job,
- 3:38Speaker 2: as you said, to to really focus and concentrate and
- 3:43Speaker 2: make it difficult on them. They weren't going to get
- 3:45Speaker 2: back in the game. Although the fans, if you would,
- 3:48Speaker 2: if you didn't know anything, you would think the game
- 3:50Speaker 2: was closer though they were a cheering when they scored.
- 3:53Speaker 2: But I thought we did a really good job keeping
- 3:55Speaker 2: them at bay and really making a good team not
- 3:58Speaker 2: look very
- 3:59Speaker 1: Good, right, Ceey will see on the plane, all right,
- 4:02Speaker 1: Thank you,
