Latest / V / My Dad's Senate Hearing - Kids, Chaos, and Everything! (Ep.120)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Good morning and welcome to Bongino Report Early Edition live
- 0:04Speaker 1: here from the Washington DC Rumble studio. We have some
- 0:08Speaker 1: really big stories to get to today. My dad had
- 0:12Speaker 1: his Senate confirmation hearing, which I attended. We're going to
- 0:15Speaker 1: talk all about that. Trump facilitates a ceasefire, historic ceasefire
- 0:20Speaker 1: between Hamas and Israel. The FDA officially bans red dye
- 0:25Speaker 1: number three, Mike Pence, tries to thwart RFK Jr. 's confirmation.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Pete Hegseth proves that he is a man of true character.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And Trump unveils a historic inauguration portrait. All this on
- 0:39Speaker 1: Bongino Report, early edition. Today we are, like I said,
- 0:55Speaker 1: live from the Rumble Studio in Washington, D.C. And I
- 0:59Speaker 1: don't know about you guys, but I think this is
- 1:01Speaker 1: so much better than the red screen that I usually
- 1:05Speaker 1: have in the background. This is a real studio, a
- 1:08Speaker 1: real background, and it makes me so excited for our
- 1:12Speaker 1: new Bongino Studio to open up. So Um, stay tuned
- 1:16Speaker 1: for that. I'm looking forward to it. Just, this just
- 1:18Speaker 1: is giving me the excitement of finally having a real studio.
- 1:22Speaker 1: No more red screen. I have a lot to update
- 1:25Speaker 1: you guys on yesterday. I sat behind my dad, Sean
- 1:28Speaker 1: Duffy for his department of transportation, secretary confirmation hearing with
- 1:34Speaker 1: the Senate committee on commerce science and transportation. And I
- 1:38Speaker 1: was there with all of my siblings, almost all of them.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'll say my brother, Jack, who his wife just had
- 1:43Speaker 1: a baby. He is dealing with the Los Angeles wildfires.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I told you guys he lives in California. He could
- 1:48Speaker 1: not make it, but all the rest of us could.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So it was all eight of my siblings and I
- 1:54Speaker 1: and my husband, Michael, all there to support my dad.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And the age range is pretty big, right? I'm 25.
- 2:01Speaker 1: My youngest sister, Valentina, is five. So a lot of
- 2:05Speaker 1: different kids there, a lot of different ages. And I'm
- 2:08Speaker 1: not going to lie to you guys. It was tough
- 2:10Speaker 1: getting all of them ready. It was pretty tough. I mean,
- 2:13Speaker 1: it's tough just to get them ready for an event
- 2:15Speaker 1: like this, let alone having them sit still for nearly
- 2:19Speaker 1: three hours. It's a huge struggle. And my mom was
- 2:21Speaker 1: rushing to make sure that everyone got out the door
- 2:24Speaker 1: on time, looked really put together and nice, and I
- 2:27Speaker 1: think she did an amazing job. I'll also say the
- 2:30Speaker 1: kids were super well-behaved. It's kind of a hit or miss.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You never know if somebody's going to have a meltdown
- 2:36Speaker 1: And oftentimes, my mom says, in a family like ours
- 2:39Speaker 1: where there's so many different kids, so many different age ranges,
- 2:42Speaker 1: nobody's ever all happy at the same time. But the
- 2:46Speaker 1: kids were really well behaved. And Valentina was especially cute.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Here she was right before the hearing.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Hi. Hi.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Hi.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 2:58Speaker 4: I'm ready to go.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Ready to go. Ready to go.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Ready to go.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm ready to go. I'm ready to go. So she's
- 3:07Speaker 1: cheering on my dad. She's saying, ready to go, ready
- 3:10Speaker 1: to go, and waving at him. She doesn't know what's
- 3:13Speaker 1: going on, but she was obviously giving him a lot
- 3:17Speaker 1: of courage and confidence right before he stood before the committee.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And Valentina was honestly so good, too. She only had
- 3:24Speaker 1: to be taken out of the committee hearing a few times.
- 3:27Speaker 1: She was really well behaved. And before my dad went
- 3:31Speaker 1: into the hearing room with all of us, we actually
- 3:33Speaker 1: gathered together and we prayed. Here's what that looked like.
- 3:52Speaker 1: My dad dedicated his potential Secretary of Transportation position to
- 3:57Speaker 1: Our Lady of Guadalupe, who is the Queen of the Americas.
- 4:00Speaker 1: So it was a really beautiful moment. And he did
- 4:04Speaker 1: that with his congressional race, too. He dedicated it to
- 4:06Speaker 1: Our Lady of Guadalupe, and he first ran for office
- 4:09Speaker 1: back in 2010. Now we're on to bigger things. The
- 4:13Speaker 1: stakes are even higher, and he's still looking to Our
- 4:16Speaker 1: Lady of Guadalupe for inspiration and for her guidance as
- 4:20Speaker 1: he does this new job. And the hearing itself was
- 4:23Speaker 1: pretty remarkable. My dad was introduced to the committee by
- 4:27Speaker 1: both Wisconsin Republican Senator Ron Johnson and Wisconsin Democrat Senator
- 4:32Speaker 1: Tammy Baldwin. They both have committed to supporting my dad,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and it appears that he's going to get A lot
- 4:39Speaker 1: of bipartisan support come the actual confirmation vote. So I
- 4:45Speaker 1: also could not have, I don't think, had such a
- 4:51Speaker 1: great bipartisan support had we not had such a beautiful
- 4:53Speaker 1: moment with Valentina and Tammy Baldwin. She kept hugging. Tammy Baldwin,
- 4:58Speaker 1: before we went into the hearing room and calling her pretty,
- 5:00Speaker 1: she was grabbing her dress and saying, oh, you look
- 5:02Speaker 1: so beautiful, so pretty, which was just, she didn't, I mean,
- 5:05Speaker 1: Valentina doesn't know who Tammy Baldwin is, but she was
- 5:08Speaker 1: definitely buttering up the Democrats before we went into the
- 5:10Speaker 1: hearing room. Here's my dad explaining.
- 5:13Speaker 3: And she's very friendly. So when Senator Baldwin came into
- 5:17Speaker 3: the ante room, she's very bipartisan, too. So she went
- 5:21Speaker 3: up and was hugging Senator Baldwin. And then the senator
- 5:23Speaker 3: was very kind and hugged her back. And they had
- 5:26Speaker 3: a break, and then she's like, that wasn't enough. We're
- 5:28Speaker 3: going to hug again. And so they had a second hug.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So just to put a point on that, anyone who
- 5:37Speaker 3: has that diagnosis, I would just tell you they're wonderful,
- 5:39Speaker 3: beautiful children, and they will bring happiness and joy to
- 5:44Speaker 3: your life.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The diagnosis he's talking about is Down syndrome. Valentina, of course,
- 5:49Speaker 1: has Down syndrome. And a lot of people choose not
- 5:51Speaker 1: to carry Down syndrome babies to term. and my parents
- 5:55Speaker 1: viewed it as a blessing, and she has been one
- 5:57Speaker 1: of the greatest blessings. I mean, my mom always says,
- 6:00Speaker 1: Valentina is the only thing that this family can agree on,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and it's pretty true. Now, it wasn't just Tammy Baldwin
- 6:07Speaker 1: who was showing the love to the Duffy kids. Ranking
- 6:11Speaker 1: committee member Senator Maria Cantwell was also wonderful to my
- 6:14Speaker 1: dad and all of my siblings. My brother said, my
- 6:17Speaker 1: brother John Paul said that, Outside the hearing room, she
- 6:21Speaker 1: praised all the children for being well-behaved and then gave
- 6:23Speaker 1: them Skittles. And the line of questioning was also very positive.
- 6:28Speaker 1: It was not aggressive. It was not combative. As some
- 6:30Speaker 1: other hearings we've seen, it was a really, really successful day.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And you're probably wondering, what's going on? How is this
- 6:38Speaker 1: Trump nominee getting so much support from Democrats? Is that
- 6:41Speaker 1: a bad sign?
- 6:42Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And I'll say a couple things about what's happening here
- 6:45Speaker 1: behind the scenes. Transportation is a pretty bipartisan area. This
- 6:48Speaker 1: isn't DNI or DOD or DHS or HHS or DOJ.
- 6:53Speaker 1: It's just a comparatively lot less partisan and a lot
- 6:58Speaker 1: less contention around this sector. So transportation lends itself to
- 7:01Speaker 1: Democrats and Republicans working together. And in fact, when my
- 7:04Speaker 1: dad was in Congress, he famously worked with Democrat Senators
- 7:08Speaker 1: Tammy Baldwin and Amy Klobuchar to get a bridge between
- 7:11Speaker 1: Minnesota and Wisconsin built. It's called the St. Croix Crossing Bridge.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It's still standing today. It's a great success and a
- 7:18Speaker 1: testament to bipartisanship in this area. But here's the second
- 7:22Speaker 1: piece to this. My dad's a nice guy. He is.
- 7:25Speaker 1: And when he was in Congress forming relationships with a
- 7:28Speaker 1: lot of the people who he stood before on this committee,
- 7:32Speaker 1: he was known as a very Midwest, nice kind of dude.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And he's kind of somebody who he might not always
- 7:39Speaker 1: agree with you. He's not going to compromise on his
- 7:41Speaker 1: core values, but he's a kind person. And that was
- 7:44Speaker 1: something he was always And it was a lesson that
- 7:47Speaker 1: he has taught and continues to teach to all of
- 7:51Speaker 1: my siblings and myself. Life is sweeter when you are,
- 7:56Speaker 1: when you are sweet. And my dad is always kind,
- 7:58Speaker 1: always very genuine with other people. And even Democrats will
- 8:01Speaker 1: respond really well to that. And I don't personally, I mean,
- 8:04Speaker 1: you guys probably have noticed, I have a little bit
- 8:06Speaker 1: of a combative personality. I can get pretty upset, especially
- 8:09Speaker 1: with people on our own side. When they do bad things,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I call them out. And that's a good thing. It's
- 8:14Speaker 1: a positive thing. And we need that. We need fighters.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But there's also something to be said for being kind.
- 8:20Speaker 1: And my dad has really drilled that home with us kids,
- 8:23Speaker 1: that you have to treat people well. And what goes
- 8:26Speaker 1: around comes around. There's a lot of truth to that.
- 8:27Speaker 1: How you treat people does matter. And I think this
- 8:30Speaker 1: is something that he learned, being one of 11 children,
- 8:35Speaker 1: having to get along with all of his siblings coming
- 8:37Speaker 1: from this massive family from the swing state of Wisconsin,
- 8:40Speaker 1: I might add, where people have very different viewpoints, right?
- 8:44Speaker 1: It's a very purple state, and it's purple in his
- 8:48Speaker 1: own family. My grandparents are Bernie bros. None of his sisters,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I think, would identify as politically conservative. And so he's
- 8:56Speaker 1: learned how to get along with people, how to compromise,
- 9:00Speaker 1: in ways that are compromisable without, you know, compromising his
- 9:04Speaker 1: core values. And I think it served him really well.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And I'm really grateful for the example that he's given
- 9:09Speaker 1: myself and all of my siblings. And by the way,
- 9:12Speaker 1: at the end of the hearing, one of the best
- 9:13Speaker 1: moments was when Valentina decided that she was going to
- 9:17Speaker 1: testify before Congress as well.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Thank you take care listening she's.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Just she's just like talking into the mic and she
- 9:28Speaker 1: kept doing it she she's copying my dad obviously.
- 9:34Speaker 5: She wants to.
- 9:47Speaker 1: To be part of the hearing too. She wants to
- 9:48Speaker 1: testify as well. So that was a very cute moment.
- 9:52Speaker 1: She is the best. I'll also say some people were commenting.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I posted about it yesterday on Instagram and asked people. saying, oh,
- 10:00Speaker 1: it was so funny looking at your brother's face the
- 10:03Speaker 1: whole time. My little brother Patrick was sitting on my lap.
- 10:06Speaker 1: We were right to my dad's. If you're looking at
- 10:08Speaker 1: the camera, we were right to his right. And yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: he was making a lot of funny faces. And it's
- 10:14Speaker 1: actually my fault that he was making a lot of faces.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Because in the hearing room, to the left and the right,
- 10:20Speaker 1: there was a screen showing what the camera was projecting.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And so I pointed it out to him. I said, Patrick, look,
- 10:27Speaker 1: you're on camera. You can see yourself. He noticed. He
- 10:29Speaker 1: was like, oh, this is really great. And then he
- 10:31Speaker 1: decided to make a lot of very silly faces throughout
- 10:34Speaker 1: the entire hearing. So it was kind of my fault.
- 10:37Speaker 1: It was also kind of cute. And it wasn't that disruptive,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I don't think. It didn't bother my dad because he
- 10:41Speaker 1: couldn't see. But yeah, if you notice Patrick's face, That
- 10:46Speaker 1: would be my fault. I probably shouldn't have pointed it
- 10:48Speaker 1: out to him. Okay, now for some major news. Thanks
- 10:52Speaker 1: to President Trump, Israel and Hamas have agreed to a
- 10:54Speaker 1: multi-phase ceasefire in Gaza, marking an end to the devastating,
- 10:59Speaker 1: bloody 15-month conflict. The agreement's first six weeks will see
- 11:04Speaker 1: Israel withdraw from much of the Gaza enclave and release
- 11:08Speaker 1: hundreds of of Palestinian prisoners, including convicted mass murderers, I
- 11:12Speaker 1: might add, in exchange for Hamas releasing 33 captive Israelis,
- 11:17Speaker 1: some living, some dead. We don't know the breakdown yet
- 11:20Speaker 1: of who is living, who is dead of those 33.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Should everything go as planned, we will then see the
- 11:26Speaker 1: release of the remaining Israeli hostages and the reconstruction of
- 11:29Speaker 1: Gaza in the deal's second and third stages. And this
- 11:34Speaker 1: deal actually is basically what Biden himself laid out in
- 11:37Speaker 1: May of 2024 in And it's a deal that Hamas
- 11:39Speaker 1: has been on board with for a long time. And
- 11:42Speaker 1: the only holdout so far has been Netanyahu. But Trump, amazingly,
- 11:47Speaker 1: he sends one envoy, Steve Witkoff, and this thing gets
- 11:50Speaker 1: agreed on. It's a done deal. Now, we don't know
- 11:54Speaker 1: all of the details yet. We don't. And I want
- 11:56Speaker 1: to emphasize this. It's possible that there are some unknown
- 12:00Speaker 1: pluses for the Israelis, perhaps the annexation of the West Bank.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Maybe this is something that's unsaid that will happen in
- 12:05Speaker 1: the future. We don't know. And if that is the case,
- 12:09Speaker 1: more violence could ensue. That would obviously be very provocative.
- 12:12Speaker 1: But if Trump's envoy was successfully able to pressure Netanyahu
- 12:16Speaker 1: to accept a ceasefire, and we're looking at the full
- 12:19Speaker 1: picture here, and the violence and the aggression and, frankly,
- 12:23Speaker 1: just the devastation has genuinely come to at least a pause,
- 12:28Speaker 1: this is an incredible victory for President Trump. It is,
- 12:32Speaker 1: like I said, a horrific bloodshed on both sides of
- 12:36Speaker 1: this conflict. And on the flip side, this is an
- 12:39Speaker 1: unbelievably humiliating moment for Joe Biden. Of course, Joe Biden
- 12:44Speaker 1: is currently trying to take credit for the ceasefire and
- 12:48Speaker 1: the hostage release deal. Here's Joe Biden.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Very good afternoon. Because at long last, I can announce
- 12:56Speaker 5: a ceasefire and a hostage deal has been reached between
- 13:00Speaker 5: Israel and Hamas. For more than 15 months of conflict,
- 13:05Speaker 5: It began with Hezbollah's brutal massacre on October the 7th.
- 13:09Speaker 5: More than 15 months of terror for the hostages, their families,
- 13:14Speaker 5: the Israeli people. More than 15 months of suffering.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys caught that, but he said,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I can announce a ceasefire and a hostage deal has
- 13:25Speaker 1: been reached. And then he says 15 months of conflict
- 13:28Speaker 1: that began with Hezbollah's brutal massacre on October the 7th.
- 13:33Speaker 1: He says Hezbollah, not Hamas. He's taking credit for what
- 13:36Speaker 1: Trump did. Everyone knows it. And he can't even get
- 13:38Speaker 1: the names straight of the people who are involved in
- 13:41Speaker 1: this conflict. The man is such an embarrassment. Now, this
- 13:46Speaker 1: is an official statement from the office of the prime
- 13:50Speaker 1: minister of Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this evening
- 13:54Speaker 1: with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and thanked him for his
- 13:57Speaker 1: assistance in advancing the release of the hostages and for
- 14:00Speaker 1: helping Israel bring an end to the suffering of dozens
- 14:02Speaker 1: of hostages and their families. End quote. Notice that Biden
- 14:06Speaker 1: is not mentioned in that official tweet at all. Not mentioned.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It's just Trump. This is a quote from the Israel Times.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Trump envoy swayed Netanyahu more in one meeting than Biden
- 14:19Speaker 1: did all year. Trump in more than one meeting than
- 14:23Speaker 1: Biden has all year.
- 14:25Speaker 4: I mean.
- 14:27Speaker 1: By the way, Miss Alyssa Farah is going to have
- 14:30Speaker 1: to make good on her promise, her promise to wear
- 14:34Speaker 1: a MAGA hat on The View. Take a listen.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Single thing, a five-alarm fire. If he does good, if
- 14:40Speaker 4: he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will
- 14:42Speaker 4: wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show
- 14:44Speaker 4: and say, thank you for doing it. She'll knock it
- 14:47Speaker 4: right off my head. You have to be able to
- 14:49Speaker 4: cheer for wins when they happen and then call out
- 14:51Speaker 4: relentlessly the wrongdoing.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Okay, so... She's going to have to wear the MAGA hat.
- 14:59Speaker 1: She's going to have to wear the MAGA hat. I
- 15:01Speaker 1: look forward to seeing Alyssa wearing that MAGA hat on
- 15:06Speaker 1: The View, donning the red she promised us. Now, Trump
- 15:11Speaker 1: said we would get tired of winning. He said, we're
- 15:13Speaker 1: going to get tired of winning. Are you guys tired
- 15:15Speaker 1: of winning yet? Because we are already beating big food.
- 15:20Speaker 1: The FDA has officially banned red dye number three because,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know, it likely causes cancer in addition to being
- 15:27Speaker 1: completely unnatural for people to consume. Red number three has
- 15:30Speaker 1: been banned for almost 35 years in cosmetics. For some reason,
- 15:34Speaker 1: it's been totally fine for people to consume via our food.
- 15:38Speaker 1: So it's not fine to put on your face, but
- 15:40Speaker 1: you can consume it. I mean, it's just ridiculous policy.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And this is, of course, in reaction to RFK Jr.
- 15:46Speaker 1: and Maha, Make America Healthy Again. The Biden admin wants
- 15:49Speaker 1: to look like it's at least somewhat interested in ending
- 15:52Speaker 1: the mass poisoning of the American populace before Maha officially commences.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You have to think about it. If Biden was actually
- 16:00Speaker 1: interested in fighting big food, he would have done this
- 16:02Speaker 1: years ago. But he didn't. He waited until after Trump
- 16:07Speaker 1: was elected. And frankly, I don't care. If this is
- 16:11Speaker 1: a Biden pride move in response to President Trump, it's
- 16:14Speaker 1: a good decision. It's a long overdue decision. And ultimately,
- 16:17Speaker 1: we all know that it's thanks to President Trump. And
- 16:20Speaker 1: everyone wants to paint RFK Jr. as this divisive character.
- 16:24Speaker 1: He's so controversial. He's so bad. I actually think RFK Jr.
- 16:28Speaker 1: is incredibly unifying. It's simply that really powerful, very wealthy
- 16:33Speaker 1: people in big pharma and big food don't like him.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And that's why this narrative that he's so divisive is
- 16:38Speaker 1: being driven in the media. RFK Jr. has, in my family,
- 16:43Speaker 1: literally brought left-wing extended family members into the Trump camp
- 16:49Speaker 1: because they care about health and fitness of the country.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I think RFK Jr. is an awesome pick, but he
- 16:58Speaker 1: has somebody very interesting working against him right now, and
- 17:02Speaker 1: that someone is none other than former Vice President Mike Pence,
- 17:06Speaker 1: whose organization Advancing American Freedom is opposing the Senate confirmation
- 17:12Speaker 1: of RFK Jr. for the role of, of course, Health
- 17:15Speaker 1: and Human Services Secretary. Here's why Mike Pence is trying to,
- 17:20Speaker 1: in his own words, thwart RFK Jr.
- 17:23Speaker 7: I might have been the first to call on Republicans
- 17:27Speaker 7: in the Senate to reject the nomination of RFK Jr.
- 17:30Speaker 7: as Secretary of Health and Human Services. You know, there
- 17:34Speaker 7: are many aspects of the government that bear upon the
- 17:37Speaker 7: issue of life, none more important. than Health and Human Services.
- 17:40Speaker 7: It was one of the reasons why during our transition
- 17:43Speaker 7: in 2016 and 2017, all of our candidates, first and foremost,
- 17:48Speaker 7: were supporters of the right to life. Ultimately, our nominee,
- 17:52Speaker 7: Secretary Tom Price, would move forward and advance the cause
- 17:56Speaker 7: of life. And we made great progress. As you know,
- 17:58Speaker 7: you were directly involved in a number of those issues.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Okay, so he says, because RFK Jr. is pro-abortion, he's anti-life,
- 18:08Speaker 1: This disqualifies him from leading HHS. And this would be
- 18:11Speaker 1: a fair and fine point from pretty much anyone I
- 18:15Speaker 1: know who is pro-life. I mean, Michael, you're pro-life. Maybe
- 18:18Speaker 1: that's something that might make you take a pause from
- 18:21Speaker 1: RFK Jr., maybe. But here's why I reject it wholesale
- 18:26Speaker 1: from Mike Pence. This man isn't pro-life, certainly not in
- 18:30Speaker 1: his actions. Here is the War Room's Natalie Winters, who
- 18:34Speaker 1: we previously had on the show. on why Mike Pence
- 18:37Speaker 1: is not pro-life. Mike Pence.
- 18:42Speaker 8: I'd like to bring you back to a little date
- 18:45Speaker 8: called January 6, 2021, where you, sir, were directly responsible
- 18:50Speaker 8: for ushering in. Now, you probably thought I was going
- 18:53Speaker 8: to say the most illegitimate regime in the United States history.
- 18:57Speaker 8: But no, probably the most radical crazed pro-abortion regime that
- 19:01Speaker 8: has ever existed on the face of this earth. So
- 19:04Speaker 8: spare me the moralizing. the pro-life ivory towerism from you,
- 19:11Speaker 8: when in reality, I would put money on it, more
- 19:14Speaker 8: money than you're probably receiving from Pfizer and Moderna, but
- 19:18Speaker 8: they are paying you hand over fist to shill against
- 19:22Speaker 8: RFK Jr.
- 19:26Speaker 1: You know why else Mike Pence is not pro-life? The
- 19:30Speaker 1: man is obsessed with sowing death and destruction abroad, specifically
- 19:36Speaker 1: in Ukraine. He's obsessed with it. The guy loves war.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Remember that moment when Tucker Carlson destroyed Mike Pence's chances
- 19:45Speaker 1: at even getting half a percent in the primaries when
- 19:49Speaker 1: Mike Pence was under this delusion that he's going to
- 19:51Speaker 1: actually become president of the United States? Take a listen.
- 19:54Speaker 2: You are distressed that the Ukrainians don't have enough American tanks.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Every city in the United States has become much worse
- 20:04Speaker 2: over the past three years. Drive around. There's not one
- 20:07Speaker 2: city that's gotten better in the United States. And it's visible.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Our economy has degraded. The suicide rate has jumped. Public
- 20:15Speaker 2: filth and disorder and crime have exponentially increased. And yet
- 20:21Speaker 2: your concern is that the Ukrainians, a country most people
- 20:24Speaker 2: can't find on a map, who've received tens of billions
- 20:27Speaker 2: of U.S. tax dollars, don't have enough tanks. I think
- 20:30Speaker 2: it's a fair question to ask, like, where's the concern
- 20:33Speaker 2: for the United States in that?
- 20:34Speaker 8: Well, it's not my concern.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Not his concern. The American people aren't Mike Pence's concern,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and neither are the Russian and Ukrainian men who are
- 20:44Speaker 1: being slaughtered. Not his concern. Now, it could also be
- 20:49Speaker 1: that Mike Pence is concerned RFK Jr. will uncover some
- 20:53Speaker 1: wrongdoings when Pence was the White House Coronavirus Task Force leader,
- 20:58Speaker 1: which of course heavily enabled Anthony Fauci, the guy who
- 21:00Speaker 1: is responsible for funding the creation of the pandemic in
- 21:03Speaker 1: the first place. Either way, no one cares what Mike
- 21:07Speaker 1: Pence has to say. He is a vindictive little man,
- 21:11Speaker 1: probably getting kickbacks from who knows where. He hates Trump.
- 21:15Speaker 1: He hates Trump's team. And he wants to destroy them.
- 21:17Speaker 1: He wants them to fail. Because he's angry. And I'm
- 21:22Speaker 1: a radically pro-life woman. Seriously. I mean, my sister has
- 21:26Speaker 1: Down syndrome. 95% of people with Down syndrome are aborted.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I think in Denmark it's 99%. And RFK Jr. 's
- 21:36Speaker 1: abortion stance is something that has, I think, prevented me
- 21:39Speaker 1: from even considering him as a presidential candidate. back when
- 21:44Speaker 1: there was still sort of a chance for him to win, right?
- 21:46Speaker 1: I just, I never even thought about it. But Mike
- 21:49Speaker 1: Pence's aims here are transparently not about the pro-life issue.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It's personal, it's vindictive, and this guy just needs to
- 21:58Speaker 1: leave us all alone while we try to save America.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Can he just step off? All right, now I want
- 22:04Speaker 1: to discuss Pete Hexeth's hearing. You guys have seen all
- 22:08Speaker 1: the clips. You guys have talked about it now, I'm sure,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and you know how this man was treated in But
- 22:13Speaker 1: I want to show you all the moment that had
- 22:16Speaker 1: the greatest impact on me. The whole purpose of this
- 22:19Speaker 1: hearing was to smear Pete. That's, of course, the purpose
- 22:22Speaker 1: of it, right? And in the most personal ways possible.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Senator Tim Kaine, in particular, took direct aim at Pete's
- 22:31Speaker 1: infidelity issues and marriage failures to the point where he
- 22:36Speaker 1: frankly dehumanized Gwendolyn, a daughter of Pete, who he had
- 22:40Speaker 1: through an affair with his now-wife, Jen. Take a listen.
- 22:43Speaker 9: Completely cleared. Can you so casually cheat on a second
- 22:48Speaker 9: wife and cheat on the mother of a child that
- 22:51Speaker 9: had been born two months before, and you tell us
- 22:53Speaker 9: you were completely cleared? How is that a complete clear? Senator,
- 22:57Speaker 9: her child's name is Gwendolyn Hope Hegseth, and she's a
- 23:01Speaker 9: child of God, and she's seven years old. And you
- 23:04Speaker 9: cheated on the mother of that child less than two
- 23:06Speaker 9: months after that daughter was born, didn't you?
- 23:10Speaker 1: Those were false charges.
- 23:11Speaker 9: It was fully investigated and that was completely cleared.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I know Gwendolyn. I babysat for all the Hegseth children,
- 23:20Speaker 1: including her. Speaking of life and integrity with Mike Pence,
- 23:27Speaker 1: Pete Hegseth is a real pro-life man and he's proved it.
- 23:31Speaker 1: It would have been so easy for someone in Pete's
- 23:35Speaker 1: position with his marriage and his job and his reputation
- 23:38Speaker 1: all on the line to turn to abortion. It would
- 23:41Speaker 1: have been a no-brainer for a lot of men in
- 23:45Speaker 1: Pete's position, but he didn't do that because he recognizes
- 23:50Speaker 1: the humanity and the value of his little girl, now
- 23:56Speaker 1: and when she was preborn. And again, speaking of intentions,
- 24:00Speaker 1: Senator Tim Kaine is a close friend of serial cheater
- 24:04Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, and he voted to codify Federal recognition of
- 24:08Speaker 1: gay marriage. So Tim Kaine is not a defender of
- 24:11Speaker 1: traditional marriage in any sense. Quite the contrary. I want
- 24:18Speaker 1: to play for you guys the video edit where you
- 24:21Speaker 1: have all of the female senators interrogating Pete. And I
- 24:25Speaker 1: think this demonstrates a broader point about what we witnessed
- 24:29Speaker 1: in that hearing. Take a listen.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Okay. The purpose of this hearing was to anger Pete.
- 24:33Speaker 2: That was the purpose.
- 24:34Speaker 1: If you're listening, you didn't see that whole, you couldn't
- 24:37Speaker 1: visually see that video. You had all of the senators
- 24:39Speaker 1: around Pete who is edited in the middle and Pete's
- 25:00Speaker 1: just looking just exhausted. He's sick of it. He's tired
- 25:03Speaker 1: of it. And these women are just yelling at him,
- 25:07Speaker 1: acting completely deranged. And they wanted to act deranged to
- 25:12Speaker 1: get a rise out of Pete. They wanted Pete to
- 25:16Speaker 1: lose his cool. And he didn't. I not only thought
- 25:19Speaker 1: that Pete was calm and collected, I thought he was charming.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I thought he was respectful. I thought he came off
- 25:26Speaker 1: like a sympathetic character. I don't think I could maintain
- 25:30Speaker 1: my composure in that kind of a situation. It was
- 25:33Speaker 1: nothing short of remarkable and a testament to Pete's character.
- 25:37Speaker 1: And like I said, the Democrats needed an outburst from Pete.
- 25:41Speaker 1: They needed an excuse to pull from his already tight numbers.
- 25:47Speaker 1: And I don't think that they succeeded. It appears that
- 25:49Speaker 1: despite all these vipers, he's going to get confirmed. Here's CNN.
- 25:55Speaker 6: That Hexeth acquitted himself extremely well. And he plans to
- 25:59Speaker 6: move very quickly on this nomination. And it's moving quickly.
- 26:02Speaker 6: We expect the Senate Armed Services Committee to have a
- 26:04Speaker 6: vote as soon as Monday, Inauguration Day. That is according
- 26:08Speaker 6: to the chairman of the committee, Roger Wicker, who told
- 26:10Speaker 6: me that he believes that he'll get the support of
- 26:12Speaker 6: all Republicans and be able to push this through.
- 26:17Speaker 1: That's a great report. I love to hear it. Still
- 26:20Speaker 1: see your prayers for Pete. Like I said, it's positive.
- 26:22Speaker 1: We're hearing good things. I think he's going to get confirmed.
- 26:25Speaker 1: He still needs our prayers. You never know what can
- 26:28Speaker 1: happen behind the scenes here. All right. Last story, you guys.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Last night, Trump's inauguration portrait was unveiled. And I want
- 26:37Speaker 1: you to take a look at this. You're going to see,
- 26:40Speaker 1: if you're listening, I mean, it's this black and white
- 26:44Speaker 1: epic photo of Trump. His mouth is closed. It's almost
- 26:47Speaker 1: like a glare. And it's very similar to Trump's mugshot
- 26:52Speaker 1: taken in August 2023 after he was indicted in Georgia.
- 26:56Speaker 1: This is an incredibly different portrait from Trump's first term. Before,
- 27:02Speaker 1: he had this toothy smile. He looked really optimistic. Almost,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I would say, naive for what's to come. And now
- 27:10Speaker 1: things are different. Think about what this man has been through.
- 27:14Speaker 1: And Trump is all about the dramatics and the symbolism.
- 27:17Speaker 1: We know what he was trying to convey with that photo.
- 27:20Speaker 1: It's as if he's saying, via the picture, I see
- 27:25Speaker 1: it all clearly now. I've lived through the lies, the corruption,
- 27:28Speaker 1: the manipulation, and now I know. The Russia collusion hoax,
- 27:32Speaker 1: the laptop cover-up, the mass censorship, the lab-leaked virus funded
- 27:36Speaker 1: by taxpayers thanks to Fauci, the BLM riots engineered to
- 27:41Speaker 1: stoke division, racial division in this country. He's witnessed it all.
- 27:45Speaker 1: He's frankly been the victim of it all. He's endured,
- 27:49Speaker 1: emerged wiser, and now he carries a very clear mandate.
- 27:55Speaker 1: And this time he surrounded himself with loyal, principled allies
- 27:59Speaker 1: committed to the cause instead of putting his faith in
- 28:01Speaker 1: swamp rats. I mean, that's what he initially did. He
- 28:04Speaker 1: thought that he would come to D.C. and he would
- 28:07Speaker 1: put in people who are from D.C., who usually take
- 28:10Speaker 1: these positions. A lot of times these roles are recycled through.
- 28:15Speaker 1: And he's learned his lesson now, and he's got some
- 28:18Speaker 1: really unconventional picks, but I think they're good picks, and
- 28:21Speaker 1: I think they're loyal picks, and they're going to actually
- 28:23Speaker 1: enact change in this country. I want you to contrast
- 28:27Speaker 1: this Trump photo and what it represents with Biden. The
- 28:33Speaker 1: Trump-led Israel Hamas ceasefire is an unmissable blow to Biden,
- 28:39Speaker 1: a staggering humiliation on the world stage. But it doesn't
- 28:43Speaker 1: stop there. Look at even the infernos that have raged
- 28:47Speaker 1: in Los Angeles. They're living, burning symbols of left-wing mismanagement
- 28:53Speaker 1: and failure. I want you all to listen to what
- 28:56Speaker 1: Biden had to say in his very sad and frankly
- 29:00Speaker 1: telling farewell address.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Information and disinformation enabling the abuse of power The free
- 29:07Speaker 5: press is crumbling. Editors are disappearing. Social media is giving
- 29:13Speaker 5: up on fact-checking. The truth is smothered by lies told
- 29:18Speaker 5: for power and for profit. We must hold the social
- 29:22Speaker 5: platform accountable to protect our children, our families, and our
- 29:27Speaker 5: very democracy from the abuse of power.
- 29:33Speaker 1: He's furious. He's furious that his own censorship regime is crumbling.
- 29:39Speaker 1: crumbling around him. He abused power and the public by
- 29:45Speaker 1: directing the censorship of content disfavorable to his regime. And
- 29:48Speaker 1: the public is so done with it, so done. We
- 29:52Speaker 1: have rejected the destruction and assault on the First Amendment wholesale.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Even the social media companies have had to reverse course
- 30:03Speaker 1: in the wake of this Trump mandate and the will
- 30:05Speaker 1: of the people finally shining through on this issue. It's
- 30:10Speaker 1: Biden's lies that have crumbled, not fact-checking and truth and honesty.
- 30:16Speaker 1: We know disinformation just means information inconvenient to powerful people.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Mark Zuckerberg, once a tool of the establishment, has pivoted.
- 30:27Speaker 1: On the nation's largest podcast, he effectively threw Biden under
- 30:30Speaker 1: the bus, with Meta now abandoning political censorship and phony fact-checking.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Across the board, the tide is turning. Mexico is adopting
- 30:39Speaker 1: policies to curb mass immigration. Companies like Costco, Meta, McDonald's, Walmart, Ford,
- 30:46Speaker 1: they're ditching divisive DEI programs and policies. Modern leftism hasn't
- 30:53Speaker 1: just faltered. It's seemingly collapsed under the weight of its
- 30:57Speaker 1: own failures. The American people have rejected en masse leftism.
- 31:05Speaker 1: The demoralization of, frankly, the Obama years, years defined by
- 31:10Speaker 1: policies that put America last and fracture our national unity
- 31:13Speaker 1: along racial lines, is finally behind us. For the first
- 31:17Speaker 1: time in decades, people of all races— are coming together
- 31:21Speaker 1: under this banner of America first. And Biden, he's really tragic.
- 31:28Speaker 1: An deteriorating man who allowed himself to become Obama's pawn.
- 31:32Speaker 1: And as a reward, he's now the reluctant face of
- 31:36Speaker 1: dying leftism, a relic of an era Americans are eager
- 31:39Speaker 1: to leave behind. The Biden admin has concluded by saying,
- 31:46Speaker 1: The complete alienation of young leftists, thanks to the TikTok
- 31:49Speaker 1: ban and what countless young people perceive as a genocide
- 31:52Speaker 1: in Gaza, permitted by Biden himself, who they have dubbed
- 31:56Speaker 1: Genocide Joe. We have a disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, with Democrats
- 32:01Speaker 1: continuing to defend forever wars abroad. Trump has tapped into populism,
- 32:07Speaker 1: shifted the zeitgeist, and potentially destroyed the Democratic Party. There's
- 32:11Speaker 1: so much to be, I think, thankful for right now.
- 32:15Speaker 1: A new dawn is rising in America, and there is
- 32:18Speaker 1: an energy and a hope and an optimism unlike anything
- 32:22Speaker 1: in recent memory, certainly not in my own. And it's
- 32:25Speaker 1: not a blind patriotism, but a deeper commitment to authentic truth,
- 32:29Speaker 1: to the truth. I think finally we're going to uncover
- 32:32Speaker 1: what's been hidden for way too long, from 9-11 to
- 32:35Speaker 1: Epstein to JFK, MKUltra. The pursuit of truth is becoming
- 32:40Speaker 1: a priority. And we aren't couching language anymore today. about
- 32:44Speaker 1: mass immigration or forever wars and warmongers themselves who, again,
- 32:48Speaker 1: put American economic prosperity and lives last. The people's voice
- 32:52Speaker 1: now resonates in the executive branch. The outsider has become
- 32:58Speaker 1: the insider. Truth is prevailing, and with it, I think
- 33:02Speaker 1: prosperity is returning. Radical progressivism is fading in a brighter,
- 33:08Speaker 1: freer future. is taking its place. And that is all
- 33:12Speaker 1: I have for you guys today. Again, we are here
- 33:14Speaker 1: live in the Rumble studio in DC, which I think
- 33:17Speaker 1: very grateful to Rumble for hosting us. And I think
- 33:19Speaker 1: this is such a good sign that we're, yes, shout
- 33:23Speaker 1: out to Dylan. Thank you, Dylan. We, I mean, this is,
- 33:25Speaker 1: we just put this together, right? I mean, this is
- 33:27Speaker 1: not our normal studio. He helped get this all figured
- 33:29Speaker 1: out for us. So we're really grateful to Dylan, to
- 33:31Speaker 1: Rumble in general, and also to Michael, who I love,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and who made this all really possible as we're running
- 33:38Speaker 1: around like chickens with their heads cut off in the
- 33:40Speaker 1: midst of this entire inauguration week. So there'll be more
- 33:45Speaker 1: Rumble shows. There'll be more road shows. Unfortunately, we'll be
- 33:48Speaker 1: back in the studio mid-next week. So I will see
- 33:51Speaker 1: you all tomorrow.
- 33:54Speaker 7: The U.S.

- 33:56Speaker 2: I'm your host, Megan Klingenberg, and I am super stoked
- 33:59Speaker 2: to be joined by Daryl Dike.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Arguably, your most impressive quality cannot be measured. You're a
- 34:05Speaker 1: guy who is the definition of grit.
- 34:07Speaker 9: Injuries have ended plenty of careers, but instead you decided
- 34:10Speaker 9: yours would only be a chapter instead of the ending.
- 34:13Speaker 4: Welcome to the show, Daryl.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 34:15Speaker 6: That's a good intro right there.
- 34:16Speaker 9: That's good.
