- 0:13Speaker 1: It is a sad day here.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yes it is.
- 0:15Speaker 1: It is a sad day.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I didn't think we were going to have to do this.
- 0:21Speaker 3: But listen, you know, if we when we're right, we
- 0:25Speaker 3: pound our chest and we say we're right.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. And when we're wrong, we have to admit
- 0:29Speaker 1: we're wrong. Yeah. For a couple of days we lie,
- 0:31Speaker 1: but then then we admit we're right. So today we'll
- 0:34Speaker 1: just go ahead and admit we were wrong. Coming straight
- 0:36Speaker 1: out and telling you we were wrong. I'll never be
- 0:38Speaker 1: a good politician because I'm going to come out right
- 0:40Speaker 1: now and say I was wrong. I had my stone
- 0:42Speaker 1: cold lock that it was not going to be in
- 0:44Speaker 1: the thirties again until November. Wake up this morning, it's
- 0:47Speaker 1: thirty nine. Thirty nine.
- 0:49Speaker 2: John just got his top hat fitted.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I did. I had my top hat to be punk
- 0:52Speaker 1: satany John business cards with them boss type. It was raised.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I paid an extra few bucks for that time to
- 0:59Speaker 1: give your hat back to Frosy. Happy birthday.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Yeah. So it's just said it is. We're waking up
- 1:06Speaker 3: to thirty nine, they say could get cold, and we
- 1:08Speaker 3: could be down to thirty five by the time it
- 1:10Speaker 3: starts to warm up today. When I get wrong, I'm wrong, big, Yeah,
- 1:13Speaker 3: it's big wrong.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Our groundhog seemed reliable until he wasn't.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I got so too. I've just been near mediorologist. Now,
- 1:21Speaker 3: Megan was Megan was on your side for a long time?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Was I in my corner? You wanted to believe? And
- 1:27Speaker 1: I appreciate that. Well.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I believed for all of us, and if you guys
- 1:30Speaker 4: would have believed, maybe we would have had different results.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Oh, you're not going to put this on us. I'm
- 1:34Speaker 1: the one with the top pad. You don't think I
- 1:36Speaker 1: believed business card Casey business cards website.
- 1:41Speaker 3: John did proclaim it's been a couple of weeks ago. No,
- 1:44Speaker 3: it's been about a month ago. Now, it wasn't long enough.
- 1:46Speaker 3: It was after we had that really cold weekend that
- 1:49Speaker 3: we were done. The thirties were over. We talked to
- 1:52Speaker 3: Lewis Turner from First Coast News. I'm not trying to
- 1:53Speaker 3: implicate him in this crime, however, but I'm bringing him
- 1:56Speaker 3: down with uh. He said, that we were done too,
- 2:00Speaker 3: and but then this is what happened. This is March. Though,
- 2:02Speaker 3: this is March. It is now this weekend's gonna be
- 2:05Speaker 3: eighty again. So we got to get through it for
- 2:07Speaker 3: a couple of days.
- 2:07Speaker 1: If you maybe drink enough on Saint Patrick's day to day,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and then you'll forget the weather. And then on Friday,
- 2:13Speaker 1: I'll go see, I see it's still good.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah, and we'll forget about this day and everyone will
- 2:17Speaker 4: remember we have the winning groundhogs.
- 2:20Speaker 1: And you forgot to even wear green today, Yes, she did.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I had these little shamrock headband spring things.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I remember some green. Yeah, I got green on my hat.
- 2:31Speaker 1: At least I got my green shirt. And Megan no green.
- 2:34Speaker 1: We've we've got to go there.
- 2:36Speaker 2: They this is so bad. I don't have any green
- 2:40Speaker 2: on it. I'm wearn't black. I'm wearing all black today,
- 2:43Speaker 2: like I'm mourning, like your morning.
- 2:46Speaker 1: The fact Tony John has been put to rest.
- 2:48Speaker 4: I guess that's what happened is inherently I just knew.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I mean, I look like a goth girl rolling up
- 2:54Speaker 4: on and I never wear jeans in here. I wore jeans.
- 2:59Speaker 4: I were black jeans.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Today Megan, did you not know what was saying? We
- 3:02Speaker 1: talked about it yesterday. You couldn't wait. You were talking
- 3:05Speaker 1: about your little goofy. Yeah, we talked about furniture. Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 1: How she's going to be here today. Yeah, finally maybe
- 3:10Speaker 1: you can use her headband?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah maybe. Oh man, we got.
- 3:15Speaker 3: So much to talk about today. There's a new marriage
- 3:17Speaker 3: proposal in the state of Florida. This we've really gotten
- 3:20Speaker 3: under my skin. That's since that's insane, what was already.
- 3:24Speaker 1: It's twenty twenty six. We'll talk about that.
- 3:26Speaker 3: There's some free rides home today if you're drinking, Yes,
- 3:29Speaker 3: a triple A doing a free ride home today because
- 3:31Speaker 3: of Saint Patrick's station. We are lots to talk about today.
- 3:34Speaker 3: We will mourn the I don't want to call it
- 3:37Speaker 3: the death of Posatani John because I'm not gonna We're
- 3:39Speaker 3: not gonna let it die.
- 3:40Speaker 1: We're gonna beat this dead horse. Yes, however, we will.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It is the It's just just I don't like it.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I don't like it. It's cold.
- 3:47Speaker 3: It's a cold start, gonna get down to thirty five
- 3:50Speaker 3: before it starts to warm up cold again tonight, and then.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It will be warm by the weekend.
- 3:54Speaker 3: So let's get into Megan's three things and uh, John
- 3:57Speaker 3: retires his top head over man, I got a little
- 4:01Speaker 3: those put them in the recycle bent.
- 4:03Speaker 1: At least I'll put them in the show.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Burn that hat.
- 4:05Speaker 5: You let us down quick, a turncoat.
- 4:13Speaker 2: March Madness for the first four is today in Dayton, Ohio,
- 4:17Speaker 2: and the first round kicks off on Thursday.
- 4:20Speaker 5: So if you are going to put together bracket, yep, yea.
- 4:25Speaker 5: To do that, you gotta start because playing games start today.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Right and a lot of a lot of brackets don't
- 4:30Speaker 1: officially start counting till Thursday because they don't count the
- 4:32Speaker 1: count playing games. But it's fun.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You want to get him in definitely.
- 4:36Speaker 4: There was a winning lottery ticket sold in Jack's the
- 4:39Speaker 4: Public's off of Merril. Someone wants just shy of fifty
- 4:43Speaker 4: two thousand dollars. Okay, you guys go to public so often.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I'm surprised you guys haven't won for real.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I guess I need to buy a ticket. I'm gonna
- 4:51Speaker 1: start drawl back.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yeah, President Trump.
- 4:54Speaker 4: He took to social media to share that Chief of
- 4:56Speaker 4: Staff Susie Wiles, she actually began began her political career
- 5:00Speaker 4: here in Jacksonville.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, longtime Jacksonville resident.
- 5:03Speaker 2: She's been diagnosed with breast cancer.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Really heartbreaking, sad.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Hopefully they caught that early, that's what they said. Yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 3: she's going to start treating immediately. So it was early enough.
- 5:12Speaker 3: So we're thinking about Susie.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, she was a guest on my Public Affairs show
- 5:17Speaker 1: about ten fifteen years ago. Yeah, very first female chief
- 5:20Speaker 1: of staff in the White House.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yep, amazing. Three things you need to know, all right.
- 5:23Speaker 1: If you're up this early, we need to know one thing?
- 5:25Speaker 1: What is it? John? Why you up?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Call us at nine oh four, three eighty eight thirty
- 5:29Speaker 3: six ninety nine. While you call, we'll check your cold
- 5:32Speaker 3: Jacksonville traffick.
- 5:32Speaker 1: What's going on? John? Let's hope they picked up those
- 5:34Speaker 1: cones on ten coming in because we were down to
- 5:37Speaker 1: one lane coming in. Weren't we made? It's too cold?
- 5:40Speaker 1: It was very top of the morning, the Big Show
- 5:42Speaker 1: with Froggy, John and Megan and who is this? Hi?
- 5:46Speaker 2: My name's Debbie.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Hey, Debbie, why you up?
- 5:49Speaker 2: I'm a horseback guy and I'm getting ready to do
- 5:53Speaker 2: a sunrise on the beach that is so cool.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Megan wants your number because she wants to do that
- 6:01Speaker 1: like on a Saturday or something.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be so fun. We do it in
- 6:04Speaker 2: Amelia Island.
- 6:06Speaker 1: How great? How long have you been doing that?
- 6:08Speaker 5: I've been at it for nine years.
- 6:09Speaker 2: So our friend here is a pro pro. Yeah, I
- 6:12Speaker 2: mean she's not a nubie at this.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Have you been a horse person all your life?
- 6:15Speaker 5: All my life?
- 6:16Speaker 2: I love it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Oh, that's wonderful doing what you love and doing something
- 6:20Speaker 1: other people wish they could do all the time. That's
- 6:22Speaker 1: kind of a cool gig.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a lot of fun.
- 6:25Speaker 5: I listen to her show every morning going to the beach.
- 6:28Speaker 1: How about that. We love being a part of your life.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Thank you so much, and thanks for being a part
- 6:32Speaker 1: of ours.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Well, thank you.
- 6:33Speaker 5: I really appreciate it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Well, Debbie's a great start to our morning. And she yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 1: there we go. It's a perfect song to do with
- 6:40Speaker 1: a bad id. Wow, how's it going? Big show? Happy
- 6:43Speaker 1: Saint Patrick's day? It's froggy John and Meghan in Country
- 6:46Speaker 1: ninety nine one WQYK.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Today's the one day you can walk around talking like that.
- 6:49Speaker 3: But John's really good at it. No, my irish, Axon's awful.
- 6:53Speaker 3: We need to hear it.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Yes, no, you.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Don't do as I don't like to say something I
- 6:57Speaker 3: could say top of the morning.
- 7:00Speaker 1: You get something that's not bad, John's way back, We'll
- 7:04Speaker 1: get Okay, we want an Irish person because I used
- 7:06Speaker 1: to do my Irish accent. Everybody's just say, hey, that's
- 7:09Speaker 1: a pretty good Irish accent. Irish people from Ireland call Johnny,
- 7:13Speaker 1: I love you, but your Irish accent just had a
- 7:15Speaker 1: lot to be desirous. What's how good that is? Yes,
- 7:19Speaker 1: compared to you all? Geane DC, gean gam gee. There's
- 7:23Speaker 1: like a two syllable thing with that. Yeah, I like
- 7:26Speaker 1: I like to see your face. It's like the Fays
- 7:30Speaker 1: that kind of joke. Okay, it's a very beautiful language.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I'm not watching it up and somebody from Ireland can
- 7:36Speaker 1: actually say it.
- 7:37Speaker 3: If you're Irish or you know somebody who's Irish, call us,
- 7:41Speaker 3: which like a real Irish person to.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Uh to do it. You call and do your and
- 7:46Speaker 1: be Irish and we'll tell you if you're faking it
- 7:48Speaker 1: or not exactly.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Actually Irish, not family from the eighteen hundred Irish that's me.
- 7:54Speaker 1: That's me.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Call us now if you are Irish nine four thirty
- 7:57Speaker 3: six ninety nine, let's get into Megan's music City minute.
- 8:00Speaker 1: What's going on in Nashville.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Chris Young's getting a bar in Nashville in midtown and
- 8:05Speaker 4: I love the name of it.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Is there enough room in Nashville for everybody to have a.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Whoever they're cycling out, someone else's right there ready to go.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It's gonna be called Famous Friends though, after him and
- 8:17Speaker 2: Kane brown Song, so I like that name too. It's
- 8:19Speaker 2: Ella Langley's third week on the charts at number one
- 8:22Speaker 2: for choosing Texas, and she's tied with Taylor Swift's We're
- 8:25Speaker 2: Never Ever Getting Back Together for the most weeks at
- 8:28Speaker 2: number one for a woman on the Hot one hundred
- 8:31Speaker 2: that also hit on the country charts.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Very cool.
- 8:33Speaker 2: So she is just breaking records left and right country
- 8:37Speaker 2: artists with Irish heritage. I had to scrape and comb
- 8:42Speaker 2: the internet for this because a lot of a country
- 8:45Speaker 2: artists don't have a whole lot of ethnicity news about it, right,
- 8:51Speaker 2: you know, I don't know.
- 8:51Speaker 1: If they don't. There's so many apostrophe people.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but I did find Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Patsy Kline,
- 8:59Speaker 4: and Laura A.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Lynn were the top people that families had Irish heard it.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You can't. It's hard to get four better. That's good,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm making it.
- 9:07Speaker 2: That's your music, city, min It.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Just get another check on your chipping. Yesterday, Yeah, my goodness,
- 9:12Speaker 1: it was wild. I mean there were some crazy pictures
- 9:14Speaker 1: I saw on First Coast News and I'm making I
- 9:17Speaker 1: saw it blew over a canopy at a gas station. Yeah, wow,
- 9:21Speaker 1: crazy stuff. I hope you survived it. Okay too. Good
- 9:24Speaker 1: morning the Big Show Froggie, John and Megan for your
- 9:26Speaker 1: Saint Patty's Day with Country ninety nine one WQYK. That
- 9:29Speaker 1: storm brought in this cold weather.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I know.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I hate to let anybody know, but as we turn
- 9:33Speaker 3: around and look at the official temperature, it is thirty
- 9:36Speaker 3: seven degrees.
- 9:37Speaker 2: He's getting colder then, yeah, it's yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It's going to go about thirty five before it's over.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Do we start at thirty nine this morning?
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah, we're a thirty nine.
- 9:46Speaker 3: When I got in my truck, it was forty one
- 9:49Speaker 3: and warmed up a little bit on the way in,
- 9:51Speaker 3: but I know Johnson was thirty nine now and thirty.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Nine on my car when I got in the west
- 9:54Speaker 1: side stropping John. Yeah, no, it's there, it's in the thirties.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I predicted it would never get back in the thirties
- 10:00Speaker 1: until November, and unfortunately, Punk Satani John was wrong, dead wrong.
- 10:06Speaker 2: It's all your fault.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like it. I blame myself. I'll stick
- 10:10Speaker 1: it on the line as meteorologists go, Well, you can
- 10:12Speaker 1: only predict so far in advance. Well, you know, I
- 10:15Speaker 1: was hoping I was more. I hoping it was more
- 10:16Speaker 1: of a gift than just a craft. But it wasn't.
- 10:20Speaker 1: It was a poorly crafted gift. This is what it was.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Windshows was warning in the low thirties. Okay, yeah, now
- 10:25Speaker 1: you're rubbing in.
- 10:27Speaker 2: This is bad.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That' said nothing about wind chill. Oh so everybody's going
- 10:32Speaker 1: with a three hundred year old farmer's almanac. Oh sure,
- 10:35Speaker 1: because remember when Sabrina called and told us Farmer's Almanac
- 10:38Speaker 1: said it's going to be cold again in March, and
- 10:40Speaker 1: were like, huh, pa, three hundred years of PA doing
- 10:43Speaker 1: a good job.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah we have We had a groundhog. We didn't need
- 10:46Speaker 2: anyone's opinions.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I had a top hat and everything. Yeah, sounds like
- 10:50Speaker 1: Sabrina knew what she was talking about. Evidently she knew
- 10:52Speaker 1: what she was talking about. Yeah, she wins again.
- 10:54Speaker 3: So a lot of times you read headlines and you
- 10:57Speaker 3: say to yourself, well, maybe I should be further into
- 10:59Speaker 3: the story.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Sure.
- 11:00Speaker 3: So I saw this headline this morning and it bothered me,
- 11:03Speaker 3: and I want to had read the entire story. And
- 11:06Speaker 3: as I read the story, I'm just as bothered at
- 11:07Speaker 3: the bottom as I am at the top.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Oh, this is not gonna be good. What is it?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Proposal to ban.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Marriage between first cousins and Florida fails to cross the
- 11:16Speaker 3: finish line. What the hell are we doing letting people
- 11:19Speaker 3: marry their first cousins in Florida in twenty twenty six.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I know it seems like an eighteen seventy two thing
- 11:25Speaker 1: or something.
- 11:26Speaker 2: What is going on here?
- 11:27Speaker 4: I just moved from Alabama to Florida and you're telling
- 11:31Speaker 4: me this is happening.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yes, So get this.
- 11:34Speaker 3: It says in Florida it is illegal, So not legal
- 11:38Speaker 3: to marry your parents, your grandparent, your child.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Check.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Well that's good.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Your aunt, your uncle, your niece, or your nephew. Those
- 11:45Speaker 3: are all illegal and rightfully so. But first cousins. But
- 11:49Speaker 3: first cousins, it is fair game in the state of Florida. Wow, So,
- 11:53Speaker 3: so John explain what a first cousin is, because like
- 11:56Speaker 3: first cousin always get like when we might start saying
- 12:00Speaker 3: once removed brothers.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Sisters, cousin's aunt, I'm like, a, right, I'm done, I'm out.
- 12:04Speaker 1: You're gonna have to do yeah, so I'll see you
- 12:06Speaker 1: at the reunion. I don't know who you are, right,
- 12:07Speaker 1: So go ahead and explain first cousins cousin is like
- 12:10Speaker 1: your your parents siblings child. I think that might be
- 12:14Speaker 1: the easiest way to say it. Your parents sibling child.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Say yes, say your uncle's kid is your first cousin.
- 12:21Speaker 3: So like my mom's brother's child. Yes, yeah, yeah, I
- 12:24Speaker 3: wouldn't want to marry that's to mind.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Her name is Julie. I would want to marry Julie. Never.
- 12:29Speaker 2: No.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I had a ton of first cousins and they were gorgeous.
- 12:32Speaker 1: But I don't think I don't want to marry him yet.
- 12:34Speaker 2: No.
- 12:35Speaker 1: No, that just always seemed like that seemed like that's royalty.
- 12:39Speaker 1: And I mean back in the day, they always talked
- 12:40Speaker 1: about those people doing that and the in reading kind
- 12:43Speaker 1: of thing, and that was not good for people. That
- 12:45Speaker 1: the blood issue between people that closely related. I mean,
- 12:50Speaker 1: you don't know what what's fact in fiction when it
- 12:52Speaker 1: comes to that stuff. But it just seems weird. It
- 12:55Speaker 1: just always seemed like it was out of the question.
- 12:57Speaker 1: But once again, since twenty twenty, I put nohing past anybody.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Ever, So twenty five states have a blanket ban on
- 13:04Speaker 3: marriages between first cousins.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Twenty five. That's only half, only half, okay, but hold on.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Nine other states mostly ban the practice, but have various
- 13:15Speaker 3: exceptions to the rule, like in cases where one partner
- 13:17Speaker 3: is infertile, both partners are above a certain age, or
- 13:21Speaker 3: if the two partners are of the same sex, so
- 13:23Speaker 3: that case it's okay.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So that's nine other states. It's just a matter of
- 13:26Speaker 1: that they don't want the Yeah, the offspring, okay, So
- 13:30Speaker 1: that's thirty four states. Florida is among just sixteen states
- 13:35Speaker 1: with no restrictions on first cousin marriage none, zero restriction,
- 13:38Speaker 1: Uncle daddy, That is very weird.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, weird, I mean, but I think it takes a
- 13:44Speaker 2: long time, like I think inbreeding, like it takes several times.
- 13:50Speaker 2: With inbreeding that was.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Normally in royalty, right, it was normally royalty because they
- 13:54Speaker 1: wanted to keep power and make sure that it's always
- 13:56Speaker 1: stays in the blood, Yeah, mine or whatever. But this
- 13:59Speaker 1: is just folks won't get married. Yeah, I don't like it.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I wonder how many people get married though, and they
- 14:03Speaker 4: don't know that they're marrying someone who's actually related to them.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That's a different question. Happen. It does happen when you know,
- 14:09Speaker 1: people grow up and not know that's their real family,
- 14:11Speaker 1: or they've been adopted and things happen and the mom
- 14:15Speaker 1: couldn't couldn't take care of the kid and gave her
- 14:17Speaker 1: up for adoption, or there's.
- 14:18Speaker 2: A secret like child born that nobody knows about.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Years ago, and they went and got adopted, and next
- 14:25Speaker 1: thing you know, you're marrying your brother.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Wow, isn't that weird to think about?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Yeah? I didn't know that was the thing. I mean,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I guess, I mean, I guess there are outlier situations. Sure,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I mean, these are episodes of some NBC special I know,
- 14:37Speaker 1: But for that to be a law in Florida, I'm
- 14:40Speaker 1: just as fummixed as you are. From Georgia as well. Georgia,
- 14:43Speaker 1: it is legal to marry your first cousin.
- 14:45Speaker 2: That my goodness.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Well there you go. Yeah, New York, California legal to
- 14:49Speaker 1: marry your first cousin.
- 14:51Speaker 2: This is shocking.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I know, I agree. That's why I saw this headline.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I'm like, wait a second, maybe let me read further.
- 14:57Speaker 3: In sure, that's not the case. It got worse right now.
- 15:00Speaker 3: It is perfectly legal for you to marry your mother's
- 15:03Speaker 3: brother's child in this state.
- 15:05Speaker 1: We got to fix that. And well, here's what I'll understand.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Family reunions of five peoplehead fur with Country ninety nine
- 15:14Speaker 1: one wqy KY. This is a Florida thing. Every so
- 15:17Speaker 1: often it's things and you go, yeah, only here. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: you know, you don't even need to read the story.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You're like, gotta be Florida. And it was. That's the
- 15:24Speaker 1: exact thing, froggy. Anyone who's ever kept a snake as
- 15:27Speaker 1: a pet knows they're good at getting out. They slithered here,
- 15:31Speaker 1: hither and yon. Yeah. They they flatten their body and
- 15:33Speaker 1: fit through their tiniest little hole. Yeah, we go to
- 15:35Speaker 1: Coral Springs. The crew at fire station number forty three
- 15:38Speaker 1: saw that firsthand. A woman drove up and reported her
- 15:41Speaker 1: beloved albino python had found its way into the dashboard
- 15:45Speaker 1: of her car. Yeah no, The fire team, thankfully had
- 15:49Speaker 1: nothing else to do. They took a part in the
- 15:51Speaker 1: dashboard underside, and there it was the old snake sitting
- 15:56Speaker 1: there in the actual dashboard. Wow, jelly role, we are
- 16:00Speaker 1: the big show Froggie, John and Meghan for you. Saint
- 16:03Speaker 1: Patrick's day, good morning. It is not just Saint Patrick's saying.
- 16:06Speaker 3: It is also a very sad day for our Puck
- 16:09Speaker 3: Satawni John, as Meghan so named him.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Yes, yes, she even made a little creature out of me. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I did.
- 16:16Speaker 2: We had a groundhog. He was reliable.
- 16:19Speaker 3: This was we hop hat we've been riding this high
- 16:22Speaker 3: just hop patch. John said it wasn't gonna and we
- 16:24Speaker 3: weren't gonna have thirties any.
- 16:25Speaker 1: We were never going to have thirties until November, and
- 16:27Speaker 1: I just made it a stone cold lock. Lou Turner,
- 16:30Speaker 1: meteor chief meteorologist at First Coast News, back me up
- 16:33Speaker 1: on this. Yes, it was like he said, let's book it,
- 16:35Speaker 1: let's lock it in. And I thought, my goodness, I've
- 16:38Speaker 1: got a new I got a new gig. You know
- 16:39Speaker 1: here as punk Satani John. This is back on February
- 16:43Speaker 1: twenty fifth.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we thought we were onto something because John didn't
- 16:47Speaker 2: even have to look for a shadow. His hip told
- 16:49Speaker 2: us whether.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yeah, my hip told you it was gonna it was
- 16:51Speaker 1: gonna warm up, stay warmed by trick. Hip woke up
- 16:55Speaker 1: this morning and it's in the thirties. Yeah, and it's
- 16:57Speaker 1: not just it's not thirty nine, it's it's dropped on
- 17:00Speaker 1: thirty seven. Not even I can't even close my eye
- 17:03Speaker 1: and squint out of the other and look for a forties.
- 17:05Speaker 1: It's in the thirties. Everwhere you're gonna have to turn
- 17:07Speaker 1: into top hat. I know you have to turn it in.
- 17:10Speaker 1: See it was. It was a it was a wonderful
- 17:12Speaker 1: twenty day run. It was a good run, yep. But
- 17:14Speaker 1: it's over. Business cards were on the way. I was
- 17:17Speaker 1: trying to get the website built. Tony John, you're going
- 17:20Speaker 1: to stop that, Okay. If you guys would have.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Listened to any award, this wouldn't have happened.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Nothing, nothing to do, nothing to know that stupid disco
- 17:28Speaker 1: song you say it brings good luck. However, I know
- 17:30Speaker 1: we do have some people who are upset. Yeah, they
- 17:32Speaker 1: believed in you, John Well, Tammy Tammy, Good morning day.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Is this top hat John?
- 17:37Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, top Hat John. I thought of you this morning.
- 17:41Speaker 3: It's thirty three.
- 17:42Speaker 5: You said we would have no more thirty yep, I
- 17:45Speaker 5: just got the ice off the windshield.
- 17:48Speaker 2: It's a little cool here in Baker County.
- 17:50Speaker 1: But uh, you know, I still love you.
- 17:54Speaker 4: I couldn't present, Jean, I couldna.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I've been listing, been listening he for they four day
- 18:00Speaker 1: or two. You know. I love you. I love you,
- 18:04Speaker 1: but I'm like, you're wrong. I am, I'm so wrong, Sammy,
- 18:07Speaker 1: thank you for thanks for listening for all these years.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Appreciate that. Thank you, Tammy. I'm sorry.
- 18:12Speaker 3: You know what, Tammy, John should come to your house
- 18:14Speaker 3: and scrape the ice off your windshes.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Yes, that's your new business, since you are a grownhawk failure.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Now you're an ice scraper.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Ice creeping John. Now you know it's gonna be warm
- 18:25Speaker 1: the rest of the time. It won't even get cold
- 18:27Speaker 1: in November, and I'll be out of a gig.
- 18:29Speaker 3: They're saying it's gonna be thirty five by eight o'clock,
- 18:31Speaker 3: thirty eight at nine, and forty one at ten am.
- 18:33Speaker 1: There's only so much I can take. It's gonna be
- 18:35Speaker 1: cold today. H dang. It megan three things fun while
- 18:39Speaker 1: it lasted. I hope I wore the crown. Well. These
- 18:42Speaker 1: are three stories that can depend on heavy is the
- 18:44Speaker 1: head that wear's the top hat exactly. Punk's a Tony John.
- 18:49Speaker 1: What's going on? Mane?
- 18:50Speaker 2: The public's off of Merrill sold a winning lotto ticket
- 18:54Speaker 2: just shy at fifty two thousand dollars right here in town.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Get your a bunch of top hats. Yeah yeah you can't.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not allowed to buy a top hat.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I know, I'm top Patty.
- 19:05Speaker 4: March Madness First four is today in Dayton, Ohio, and
- 19:09Speaker 4: then Thursday the first round kicks off.
- 19:12Speaker 2: So Thursday and Friday will have a lot of good
- 19:13Speaker 2: basketball games to watch. Gators, get your brackets ready.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Gators play Friday night. Yeah well yeah, don't play the
- 19:20Speaker 1: fday night. Don't play the winner of one of today's games.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I think they play the winner one of tomorrow's games. Okay,
- 19:25Speaker 1: the first four played late Tomorrow night. They have, like
- 19:26Speaker 1: I mean, Friday night, they have the late game. I
- 19:28Speaker 1: got to stay up in Tampa too, which is weird
- 19:30Speaker 1: that it's late.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I know.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Well.
- 19:32Speaker 2: President Trump took to social media and shared that the
- 19:35Speaker 2: chief of Staff Susie Wiles, who began her political career
- 19:39Speaker 2: here in Jacksonville, she's been diagnosed with breast cancer.
- 19:43Speaker 5: So we're sad to hear that. Sore love and prayers. Yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 5: they caught it early, they said, and she is starting
- 19:49Speaker 5: treatment immediately. The very first female chief of staff in
- 19:53Speaker 5: our nation's history. So it's in prayers with Susie.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Interesting that if anybody remembers Pat Summer all the great
- 19:59Speaker 1: long time, I'm a broadcaster for CBS and for Fox,
- 20:02Speaker 1: that's her. That's his daughter, Susie Wils's Matt Summerl's daughter.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Oh that's really incredible. That's three things you need to know.
- 20:09Speaker 3: All right if you want to go to sea World,
- 20:11Speaker 3: we have got a hookup right now. Just got to
- 20:12Speaker 3: play the pop quiz looking for Collies nine and ten
- 20:16Speaker 3: at nine oh four three eight eight thirty six ninety nine.
- 20:19Speaker 3: If your little fingers aren't too cold to dial call
- 20:22Speaker 3: us nine oh four three eight eight thirty six ninety nine.
- 20:25Speaker 3: While you do that, we'll check with no boy. That
- 20:27Speaker 3: could be a theme song for the today. Bottoms up,
- 20:30Speaker 3: Ranley Gilbert, How you doing do it? Responsibly? Listen?
- 20:33Speaker 1: If you do? If you do?
- 20:34Speaker 3: Over in Vibe, Triple A's got tow and Go, Yeah
- 20:37Speaker 3: they do either, toe and go. Program is running from
- 20:40Speaker 3: six pm. Monday, March sixteenth, so that was yesterday. Yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 3: through six am tomorrow morning. Toeing Go provides a free,
- 20:48Speaker 3: confidential ride in a vehicle tow to a safe location
- 20:51Speaker 3: from pair drivers. Triple A has stressed the service is
- 20:54Speaker 3: intended as a backup plan, not your primary transportation option.
- 20:58Speaker 3: In other words, get hammered and when you get there,
- 21:01Speaker 3: go oh yeah, check for that triple taking me home,
- 21:09Speaker 3: have another plan and if that doesn't work out, then yes,
- 21:11Speaker 3: this could be a last.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Resort, but do that and do not be responsible about it. Today.
- 21:16Speaker 1: It's available to members and non members both.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I like that they're towing the cars because who wants
- 21:21Speaker 2: to leave your car somewhere? And especially with the paid
- 21:24Speaker 2: parking situations.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We got gold Froggy, John and Meghan in Country ninety
- 21:28Speaker 1: nine one WQYK The Big Show on your Saint Patrick's Day.
- 21:31Speaker 1: You know, there are things that we just consider and
- 21:34Speaker 1: take for granted that because that's what we do on
- 21:36Speaker 1: Saint Patrick's Day. That they must have started in Ireland
- 21:39Speaker 1: like a parade, like a parade, well you know the first,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you know, the first parade ever in the world for
- 21:45Speaker 1: Saint Patrick's Day. It happened in Saint Augustine really seen
- 21:49Speaker 1: sixteen oh one. They didn't have a Saint Patrick's Day
- 21:53Speaker 1: parade in Ireland until like Dublin, until like the nineteen thirties.
- 21:57Speaker 2: You running water, but there you got a oh you
- 22:01Speaker 2: got a period.
- 22:02Speaker 1: So that was that's certainly there's more us than them.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Now here's the one that I always thought. Now, that's
- 22:08Speaker 1: gotta be corn beef and cabbage. My wife always tries
- 22:11Speaker 1: to make something with cabbage. Cabbage, Yeah, yeah, definitely makes yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: it makes me very gassy. Really, yes, cabbage is yeah, yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 1: for sure. People they say in ire now, I can't
- 22:26Speaker 1: even go from there. In Ireland. It was like they
- 22:29Speaker 1: started eating corn beef in New York City, not Ireland.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I love corn beef.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Stop you like some corn beef cornbay sandwich with delly
- 22:36Speaker 3: mustards they used to eat.
- 22:37Speaker 1: They used to eat ham and cabbage in Ireland, but
- 22:39Speaker 1: it was cheaper in New York City to get corned
- 22:41Speaker 1: beef back in the day. So that's what corn beef started.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Green beer, No, that was in New York City. Again,
- 22:47Speaker 1: they didn't drink that in Ireland. And the Dying of
- 22:49Speaker 1: River Green that's Chicago. That's not an Irish thing really,
- 22:53Speaker 1: but anyway, yes, as we americanized so many things, and
- 22:57Speaker 1: we have done that to Saint Patrick's Day, that's another thing.
- 23:01Speaker 1: But that's what that's fun. That's what we do in America.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It is fun.
- 23:04Speaker 1: We take the culture and absorb it into our own. Yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: any next thing, you know, like we celebrate Sinco to Maya.
- 23:11Speaker 1: People in Mexico don't celebrate Sinco to Maya.
- 23:13Speaker 2: No, No, that's not actually there.
- 23:17Speaker 1: It gives us a reason to drink. That's what it's
- 23:19Speaker 1: all about here now, Megan, Now are you cooking anything
- 23:23Speaker 1: at all?
- 23:23Speaker 4: I try every single year to fix up some Irish
- 23:26Speaker 4: soda bread and corn, beef and cabbage, and every single
- 23:29Speaker 4: year I don't.
- 23:32Speaker 1: My god, you forget too or it comes out poorly.
- 23:35Speaker 4: I forget to until last minute, and then I'm like,
- 23:39Speaker 4: I wanted to put this in the crockpot.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I don't have four hours at ten o'clock at night.
- 23:43Speaker 4: So yeah, I mean, I every single year I put
- 23:45Speaker 4: in my grocery cart online my deliveries all the ingredients
- 23:50Speaker 4: and then no, and this year I look at the
- 23:52Speaker 4: Irish to bread recipe again like I do every year,
- 23:55Speaker 4: and I realize why I'm not making that it's because
- 23:57Speaker 4: it takes cold butter. I don't want that is a
- 23:59Speaker 4: pain of the butt to fold cold butter into a doe.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I'm not a stone girl. I'm not doing that. I
- 24:07Speaker 2: fail every year.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Well you're even failed to wear green today.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I know. This is really embarrassing.
- 24:13Speaker 1: This is bad.
- 24:14Speaker 2: You're not wearing green though, Friday, I am.
- 24:16Speaker 1: He's got green in his hat.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Meg, he's got a black hat on with a little Master's. Well,
- 24:21Speaker 5: that's more green than you. This logo has green in it, right, Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 5: I wore this hat specifically today because I wanted to
- 24:28Speaker 5: wear green.
- 24:28Speaker 1: That's his green.
- 24:29Speaker 2: That's all the green you have.
- 24:30Speaker 1: It's more than you. Yeah. I don't get green. I'll
- 24:32Speaker 1: be honest with you. Green. I don't look good in green.
- 24:34Speaker 1: I don't like how green looks on me. I feel
- 24:35Speaker 1: like these are all Saint Patrick's day. Kind of irish
- 24:39Speaker 1: kind of questions. Okay, fine, so here we go. The
- 24:42Speaker 1: first question. We just talked about this on the radio.
- 24:45Speaker 1: But we were detaining a man in Sarah. They weren't
- 24:47Speaker 1: able to hear. They weren't able to hear. We had
- 24:49Speaker 1: him in isolated booth. Okay, they weren't able to hear this,
- 24:52Speaker 1: we could afford that. Wow, It's like Springer, get what
- 24:55Speaker 1: we can. Here we go. The first record at Saint
- 24:58Speaker 1: Patrick's Day parade in the United States occurred in Saint Augustine.
- 25:02Speaker 1: It's actually the first record of Saint Patrick's Day in
- 25:04Speaker 1: the world. It was happened. It happened in Saint Augustine.
- 25:07Speaker 1: But what year was it? We're going in the way
- 25:09Speaker 1: back machine here, Amanda. What year was the first Saint
- 25:12Speaker 1: Patrick's Day parade in Saint Augustine. That's a wild guest.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Nineteen twelve, Sarah? Was it before or after nineteen twelve? Before?
- 25:21Speaker 1: You're right? Sixteen oh one? Sixteen, Yes, just like we
- 25:26Speaker 1: were just talking about this. Wow, sixteen oh one. So Sarah,
- 25:30Speaker 1: who you went in the right direction? Good job, Sarah
- 25:31Speaker 1: gets that point. Okay, great, Yeah, I know it was.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It was a wild question, but we thought we'd go there,
- 25:37Speaker 1: all right, Sarah, you get this question. First beloved Irish
- 25:41Speaker 1: actor with one of the greatest voices, Liam Neeson, Liam o'neeson, Liam.
- 25:49Speaker 1: How old is Liam Neeson? Sarah sixty eight? Sixty eight
- 25:55Speaker 1: A Manda is the older or younger than sixty eight? Younger?
- 26:00Speaker 2: Oh?
- 26:01Speaker 1: You know, Liam is a very surprise seventy three years old.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Seventy three.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Well, yeah, Sarah's going to be our winner today. Congratulations,
- 26:11Speaker 1: Congratulations Sarah, thank you, Thank you, Amanda. We appreciate you playing.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Thanks Amanda and Sarah. Congratulations. Look at true we got
- 26:19Speaker 1: goodies for you. Good used to go down to Sea Word.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Nothing says the magic Iroland. You've been to Sea World.
- 26:29Speaker 2: I know when I got that.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Jeff Jackson's accepting the award, accepting the award, Sarah's Jackson.
- 26:37Speaker 1: He's ready to he sham oh MoU to the Irish.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Good morning, it's the big show. Froggy, John and Meghan.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Only in this room on Saint Patrick's Day? Do we
- 26:52Speaker 1: get Spanish jokes from Froggy? Go ahead? What do you
- 26:55Speaker 1: call a Hispanic guy with a rubber toe?
- 26:59Speaker 2: What?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Roberto, gosh, it's so stupid, it's funny. Well, I'll agree
- 27:07Speaker 1: with the first part, Roggie.
- 27:12Speaker 2: I think you need to google something.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Normally everybody else has Irish dad jokes. Yeah, uh well
- 27:21Speaker 1: why did the leprecaun go outside? Why to sit on
- 27:25Speaker 1: his patio? Okay, there you go. Jokes that are exactly
- 27:32Speaker 1: worth what you paid for him? Nothing? Nothing, I hope
- 27:37Speaker 1: you're doing well. Happy Saint Patrick's Day. Triple A doing
- 27:40Speaker 1: towing for free, But don't make that your first line
- 27:43Speaker 1: of what you want to do. Don't make the plan. Okay,
- 27:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna drink till I'm stupid, and then I'm gonna
- 27:48Speaker 1: get Triple A to toe my car. When I don't
- 27:50Speaker 1: do that, don't do that. But they will do it
- 27:51Speaker 1: if you need it done. They don't want anybody drinking
- 27:53Speaker 1: and driving, and we don't either, So just be responsible today.
- 27:56Speaker 1: But join us at Cole and the same. Well, you
- 28:00Speaker 1: can still drink responsibly and enjoy Saint Patty's with us.
- 28:03Speaker 1: They's thing called uber and lyft. They'll get you home
- 28:05Speaker 1: or just have one. Cole Haynes re gonna be on

- 28:13Speaker 1: at Cole Hanes. I'm gonna give me a Cornby sandwich
- 28:15Speaker 1: from there. Man, they're so good, doubt they have all
- 28:17Speaker 1: different kinds of stuff. Many I've had that. They brought
- 28:20Speaker 1: some samples by before. Oh my gosh, I didn't know
- 28:22Speaker 1: I loved Irish food as much as I did.
- 28:25Speaker 2: It is good and the leak soup is really good
- 28:27Speaker 2: there too.
- 28:27Speaker 1: We'll be there from ten to noon today, south Side
- 28:29Speaker 1: Bole Ofvard, Tensil Town.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Come by and see this. We'd love to see you.
- 28:32Speaker 3: You know what else is going on today? I know
- 28:34Speaker 3: you told us about it in your Three Things earlier.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Is March Madness starting today? Yeah, that is the first
- 28:38Speaker 3: four I believe.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Yeah. They have the playing games to tonight to Tomorrow night,
- 28:43Speaker 1: and the Gators for us fellow Gator fans, we play
- 28:46Speaker 1: one of the winners of the first four, I believe
- 28:49Speaker 1: tomorrow nights. Yeah, tomorrow finners they'll be playing front and
- 28:52Speaker 1: the Gators themselves playing Friday night.
- 28:55Speaker 3: I was blown away by this March madness. Fifty of
- 28:59Speaker 3: Americans will watch some form of March madness. That is
- 29:02Speaker 3: a crazy number.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I know. I mean I'm a goober though about it,
- 29:06Speaker 1: so I didn't know how many other people were so
- 29:08Speaker 1: goobery about it. Yeah. Thirty percent of people will fill
- 29:11Speaker 1: out a bracket. Done. Have you done one already? I
- 29:14Speaker 1: got one right here? Have you done one yet, Megan?
- 29:16Speaker 2: No, I'll do one later though.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I'm upset with John and his bracket, so I'm not
- 29:19Speaker 1: going to get in there.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Why he is the Gators losing, Yes.
- 29:22Speaker 1: To Vanderbilt again, which is not happening, not early. I
- 29:25Speaker 1: have him losing. You do have him losing early in
- 29:27Speaker 1: the sweet sixteen. Well, get this early. They're not losing. Okay,
- 29:30Speaker 1: they're not. They'll make it to the final four. I
- 29:32Speaker 1: don't think they'll win it. That was just my bias. Okay.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Do you understand, like any every major college in the
- 29:36Speaker 1: state of Florida is in March Madness except one, which
- 29:39Speaker 1: one Florida state. Oh my guys, my team next year,
- 29:43Speaker 1: next year? Can you say it again? I'll be like
- 29:45Speaker 1: the Gators. Wait till next year. Okay, No, we don't
- 29:47Speaker 1: have to say that we won last year. No, I'm
- 29:49Speaker 1: saying your football team. Oh okay, how you say how
- 29:52Speaker 1: early this gets? I mean we're not even a football
- 29:54Speaker 1: season is months away. We're still It just happens in
- 29:57Speaker 1: this room. It blows up like quick. Yes, but at
- 30:01Speaker 1: the bar fight, it just explodes out of nowhere.
- 30:04Speaker 3: I love March Madains, even if my team's not an
- 30:06Speaker 3: in I love it because you see these teams that
- 30:09Speaker 3: have come out of nowhere. People had the biggest moment
- 30:12Speaker 3: of their athletic lives just happened right in front of
- 30:16Speaker 3: you or somebody. It's just throws up some wing in
- 30:18Speaker 3: a prayer buzzer beater, it goes in. I just this
- 30:21Speaker 3: is the best time of year to just watch these
- 30:23Speaker 3: teams come out of nowhere, these law schools.
- 30:25Speaker 1: And it's great. I mean in the blue Bloods. You
- 30:27Speaker 1: know that they uphold their tradition and they win and
- 30:29Speaker 1: they have great seasons, and it's just a wonderful combination
- 30:32Speaker 1: of everything and everybody pulling for underdogs or their team.
- 30:36Speaker 1: And you talked about somebody having the game of their
- 30:38Speaker 1: life and then also a thing out of nowhere. We
- 30:41Speaker 1: were at the one you remember that this is a
- 30:43Speaker 1: few years ago where the coach he was sitting on
- 30:45Speaker 1: a stool because he had hurt his ankle. The coach
- 30:47Speaker 1: had to sit in a chair like on the sidelines.
- 30:50Speaker 1: And his son hits the game winning shot in a
- 30:52Speaker 1: big upset and he falls out of the chair. Oh
- 30:56Speaker 1: it's hilarious, it's worth watching. But it happened here in Jacksonville,
- 30:58Speaker 1: really yeah, and we were there. We just happen to
- 31:00Speaker 1: have tickets and went to the early game. So it
- 31:03Speaker 1: is so exciting and even filling out brackets Wait, we
- 31:06Speaker 1: do it with friends, and I've been doing it with
- 31:08Speaker 1: before my sister passed away. She and I have been
- 31:10Speaker 1: doing it since I was nine. Yeah, that we fill
- 31:12Speaker 1: brackets out. So that's it's a family tradition for me.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So I hope everybody gets involved.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're filling out a bracket, you want to
- 31:18Speaker 3: get that done. So if you here's you'll walk by
- 31:21Speaker 3: the office printer today, it's going to have bracket and
- 31:24Speaker 3: empty brackets on there, exactly right. Not a lot of
- 31:26Speaker 3: office productivity the next especially the first few days because
- 31:30Speaker 3: their games are during the week. Like I said, there's
- 31:32Speaker 3: games today, these games tomorrow. Then they're really everything starts
- 31:35Speaker 3: on Thursday. I mean every channel you turn on is
- 31:37Speaker 3: going to have March Madison it. Yes, office productivity is
- 31:40Speaker 3: going to go down Thursday and Friday this week.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I'm going to be out around noon on Thursday. You
- 31:44Speaker 1: won't I won't be available, Okay, no words, just let
- 31:46Speaker 1: you know Friday night. I'll see you quick test. I
- 31:50Speaker 1: know you will.
- 31:51Speaker 2: You know.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Listen, you know how I am with that team. I
- 31:52Speaker 1: don't hate him.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Well, they're on John's brackets, so he needs them to
- 31:56Speaker 2: do good at least to the Sweet sixteen.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Nobody wants him to lose the Vandy though I don't
- 31:59Speaker 1: want them to lose. I just okay, yeah, you're right,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you're right. I do, I do, I do. Get to
- 32:05Speaker 1: Megan's three things. What else is going on around Jackson?
- 32:07Speaker 4: Well, after almost twenty years, Harris Teeter the grocery store is.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Coming back to town. It'll be over off of Atlantic Boulevard,
- 32:14Speaker 2: opening up next year. Hopefully. There was a winning lottery
- 32:18Speaker 2: ticket sold in town Public's off of Merrill. Somebody won
- 32:23Speaker 2: j just shy at fifty two grand, which is awesome.
- 32:26Speaker 2: And then President Trump took to social media to share
- 32:28Speaker 2: that the chief of staff, Susie Wiles, who actually began
- 32:32Speaker 2: her political career here in Jack's, she's been diagnosed with
- 32:35Speaker 2: breast cancer.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Sad to hear that, yes, she's ongoing treatment immediately, and
- 32:40Speaker 3: they did catch it early, so they prognosed.
- 32:42Speaker 1: This is great.
- 32:42Speaker 3: So our thoughts and prayers are with Susie Wiles, the
- 32:44Speaker 3: very first ever female chief of staff in our nation's history.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Hoping that she has a quick recovery and is okay,
- 32:51Speaker 4: that's three things you need to know, all right.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Let's get a quick check on your Jacksonville chopping. It's
- 32:55Speaker 3: too cold to get an accidentcause you gotta get out
- 32:57Speaker 3: of the car and talk to.
- 32:57Speaker 1: People and do that. You want to do that non
- 32:59Speaker 1: stop big show for Roggie John and Megan's slowing the
- 33:02Speaker 1: music down long enough to give you an opportunity to
- 33:04Speaker 1: win the Great Irish country singer. Parker McCullum. Parker mccullim,
- 33:09Speaker 1: he's got the macinning, He's ready, perfect for Saint Patrick's Day.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Parker McCollum's going to be here Florida Theater. Right. I
- 33:16Speaker 1: thought it was Apathy Amphitheater. That's where I got it.
- 33:19Speaker 1: That's right, I'm so wrong. That's why I was gonna
- 33:21Speaker 1: There was a question mark when I said that. Yeah,
- 33:23Speaker 1: I think it's St. Augustathe Okay, are you wrong about
- 33:25Speaker 1: the weather? And the top hat has gone? So are
- 33:28Speaker 1: you piling on? Do I need to bring a mask
- 33:30Speaker 1: by in here?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Okay, I take it back, I take it back.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Sorry, opportunity to win tickets right now. Meghan's got tough lyric.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Got a great song we all love, but it's a
- 33:38Speaker 1: tough lyric that she found today.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Megan throwing in the towel. It takes some efforts, so
- 33:44Speaker 2: I'd rather write it out for better weather together.
- 33:48Speaker 1: That's a great lyric and I don't know if I've
- 33:49Speaker 1: ever heard that lyric inside this song, but then I
- 33:51Speaker 1: heard it together. I think that's a great lyric and
- 33:54Speaker 1: the cool I know the lyric, but I don't know
- 33:56Speaker 1: what song it's from, right, yep, you guys know the song.
- 33:58Speaker 1: It's a fairly new song. Okay, so in the last
- 34:01Speaker 1: couple of years. Yeah, okay, all right, call it number
- 34:03Speaker 1: nine nine oh four to three eight eight oh Froggy, Oh,
- 34:05Speaker 1: John and Omegan.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Good to be with you in Meghan like an Irish name, Yeah,
- 34:09Speaker 5: Meghan Terry's are very Irish.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'd say you got a lot of Irish
- 34:12Speaker 1: and Meghan mccherry, Oh Terry.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I think I'm like fifty Irish and Scottish, Are you really?
- 34:19Speaker 1: I thought I was a bunch of Irish and then
- 34:21Speaker 1: found out my DNA was not. It's all English and
- 34:24Speaker 1: there's a little bit of Irish.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Wow, Scottish, Yeah, yeah, some Scottish.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm all brit almost all brit wow, except that one.
- 34:32Speaker 5: Little If you made a cup of tea, I would
- 34:34Speaker 5: I would try it, and I just know it was
- 34:36Speaker 5: gonna be really no, it might be okay. What if
- 34:38Speaker 5: it was served by a mascot that would be a no. Okay,
- 34:41Speaker 5: So Meghan, So today's been kind of a strange day.
- 34:44Speaker 5: John was if you remember twenty days ago about.
- 34:47Speaker 1: That, it was exactly twenty days ago. I couldn't make
- 34:50Speaker 1: it three stinking weeks.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Twenty days ago, John proclaimed we were done with the thirties.
- 34:54Speaker 3: It was over, We're done, no more returned to the
- 34:56Speaker 3: thirties until November. Well, obviously, if you've looked at your
- 34:59Speaker 3: therm mistat on your card all today, John was wrong. Well,
- 35:03Speaker 3: you can use the word wrong. I'm just gonna use incorrect,
- 35:05Speaker 3: But okay, I'll say wrong however you want to say.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Megan's been a little feisty about it.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Yes, because I believed in you.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You are such a backer of mind. You were in
- 35:12Speaker 1: my corner. You were my cut person. But you can't fast.
- 35:15Speaker 1: You are my hype person.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Because he let us down.
- 35:17Speaker 4: I defended John's title, his top hat, his groundhog hood,
- 35:21Speaker 4: and then he.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Let us down.
- 35:23Speaker 1: And she even made one for me. She even did
- 35:25Speaker 1: some digital marketing. That's why. That's how she got her masters.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Making a groundhog out of me. With a top hat.
- 35:31Speaker 2: It was so cute to his little radio guy.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Oh sure, radio guy. Yeah. But anyway, I was wrong
- 35:38Speaker 1: and I've I've had to live with it, you know what.
- 35:40Speaker 1: But like one of John's fears is he was afraid
- 35:44Speaker 1: to be wrong. But see he's overcoming it. I'm facing it.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I am facing my faces just like this.
- 35:50Speaker 3: So if I ask you, Meghan, what are your top
- 35:52Speaker 3: three fears? What would be number one mascot of any kind? Yes, okay,
- 35:58Speaker 3: so we're talking like here. Locally, we have a lot
- 36:01Speaker 3: of mascots. We have Jackson Deville Jackson Dville for the Jaguars.
- 36:05Speaker 3: We have South Paul and Scampy for shrimp, both two mascots.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Oh, trust me, I've clocked that shrimp. Okay, and then
- 36:13Speaker 2: that's what you want to call it.
- 36:14Speaker 1: The Man's Ray just won an award. Yeah, the Manor
- 36:16Speaker 1: Ray for fsc J just one best junior college mascot
- 36:20Speaker 1: mascot Man Hybrid. We've got local businesses like Lickety Split.
- 36:23Speaker 1: We just saw their commercials. Yeah, Bunny Easter, Bunny, Yes, Bunny.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I do not like the rabbits are what I hate
- 36:31Speaker 1: the most. I hate the rabbit ones. Okay, So now
- 36:34Speaker 1: the rabbits ahead of anything else.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Yeah, the rabbit mascots are the worst. The easter bunny
- 36:40Speaker 2: ones are terrifying.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I just think we need to help you overcome these fears.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I I think I've never had so many intervention type
- 36:46Speaker 2: situations and so far.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Not a single one of them have worked. No, not
- 36:52Speaker 1: the first one. She still does. Then we're over all everything.
- 36:54Speaker 1: She thought there was going to be an intervention when
- 36:56Speaker 1: all we wanted to do was take her out to
- 36:57Speaker 1: celebrate the fact she got her master's degree. She thought
- 36:59Speaker 1: there was an intervention about to happen at Barbara Jeans
- 37:02Speaker 1: of all places.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Yes, I did it, so over the next couple of days,
- 37:07Speaker 3: let's stay over in the next couple of days, this week,
- 37:09Speaker 3: next week sometime we were able to get Scampy to
- 37:11Speaker 3: stop by the radio station. So just stand in the
- 37:13Speaker 3: door and just talk about the Shrimp and what they
- 37:16Speaker 3: have coming up because their seasons getting ready to kick off.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Last year they were the champions, had a really successful run. Like,
- 37:22Speaker 3: what if we helped you overcome your fear with.
- 37:25Speaker 4: Scampy him being in the same room as me, Well
- 37:28Speaker 4: he can stan it in the doorway block the only
- 37:31Speaker 4: exit Okay, what if he came in and sat by John.
- 37:33Speaker 4: It would be the big show with Froggy and John
- 37:35Speaker 4: and Scampy and Scampy and Scampy. If you guys think
- 37:39Speaker 4: that a mascot, can you know, talk through that screen,
- 37:43Speaker 4: that creepy screen over their mouths.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 37:45Speaker 1: We don't want you to go anywhere. I just want
- 37:47Speaker 1: to help you overcome the fears.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I don't want to be trapped.
- 37:50Speaker 1: What a scampy sp John. So not between you and
- 37:53Speaker 1: the door, but on the other side of the room.
- 37:55Speaker 2: No, he can be that window that's behind you, John,
- 37:58Speaker 2: with the blinds. He can be on the other part
- 38:00Speaker 2: of that.
- 38:01Speaker 1: He could stand there and make faces and like way value,
- 38:03Speaker 1: what kind of faces.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Can he make?
- 38:04Speaker 1: He's making offense.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Why they're terrifying. I don't care who it is, Scampy
- 38:09Speaker 2: Jackson Deville, Oh terrifying. We got Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Keep them away from me, say Donald Trump, like a second,
- 38:16Speaker 3: that's not that's not that's a mascot.
- 38:18Speaker 1: If somebody was in a Donald Trump suit, it would
- 38:22Speaker 1: be amazing. Gyrophone be the greatest mascot ever. It would
- 38:25Speaker 1: be the greatest, and it.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Would be terrifying, Absolutely tremendously terrifying.
- 38:30Speaker 1: We're just trying to help. We're going to do our
- 38:31Speaker 1: part to help me get over this. I promise we're
- 38:34Speaker 1: gonna do our part. We're gonna help.
- 38:35Speaker 2: How come I don't know your fears. I need some
- 38:39Speaker 2: actual fears from you, guys, because I feel like.
- 38:40Speaker 1: I had my fear of being wrong and I faced
- 38:42Speaker 1: it and I said, yes, I was wrong, dead wrong.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But what kind of a fear is day? Oh you
- 38:46Speaker 2: have to say that was wrong?
- 38:48Speaker 1: He's over all you have to All you have to
- 38:49Speaker 1: do is look at a styrofoam person. That's a real
- 38:53Speaker 1: person in a styrofoam suit.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a little more intimidating, it's not.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I think there's a challenge here. I think we have
- 39:01Speaker 1: to get what about you?
- 39:02Speaker 2: What are you afraid of?
- 39:03Speaker 1: I'm afraid of you? Okay, drinking beer, talking God? Amen?
- 39:07Speaker 1: That is Saint Patrick's Day in that in a nutshell. Yeah,
- 39:11Speaker 1: we're late actually, so we're on our way out the door.
- 39:15Speaker 1: As we head out, we leave with thoughts, parting thoughts
- 39:18Speaker 1: and things that we learned. Big show, Megan, if you.
- 39:21Speaker 4: Tell your coworkers you're scared of something, they will try
- 39:24Speaker 4: to get you to face the fear.
- 39:25Speaker 2: You don't want to face.
- 39:26Speaker 5: So thank you.
- 39:27Speaker 3: You're right, we sure will. We're trying to do We're trying.
- 39:30Speaker 3: I learned that John is no groundhog, and that John
- 39:33Speaker 3: said we've been not seen the thirties.
- 39:34Speaker 1: We saw him this morning. There's a good chance we'll
- 39:36Speaker 1: see me in tomorrow. Yeah, but the big show extra
- 39:41Speaker 1: sponsored by Parah and Farah. Here for you, Here for good,
