- 0:04Speaker 1: Good morning, God, bless you fam. Welcome back to the
- 0:06Speaker 1: Morning Devo. Is your brother Sam Lopez a kadj Sam
- 0:10Speaker 1: Rock and you're watching or listening to the Morning Dvo.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I try to be here every Monday through Friday. Five
- 0:15Speaker 1: thirty am used to stand the time. Try to get
- 0:17Speaker 1: into this word man, first thing in the morning, top
- 0:20Speaker 1: of the day, a man to really steer the day
- 0:22Speaker 1: off correctly. Today's title, Amen, get ready, control your temper.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Control your temper, Amen before Christ, change my life, transform
- 0:33Speaker 1: my life. I was a really angry person and or
- 0:37Speaker 1: any given moment, I would just lash out, do something
- 0:41Speaker 1: to somebody else because I had internal issues going on, right,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and whatever I had going on on the inside was
- 0:50Speaker 1: manifesting on the outside. Controlling anger as a Christian, though,
- 0:55Speaker 1: takes spiritual growth, right. So I want to combine practical
- 1:01Speaker 1: and biblical steps together to help us today to control anger, right,
- 1:07Speaker 1: because we all need that. We all need a refresher,
- 1:10Speaker 1: including myself. Amen. I saw something in me yesterday that
- 1:16Speaker 1: reminded me that I need to control myself a man.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Self control is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Self
- 1:25Speaker 1: control is the fruit of the spirit. Right, It's one
- 1:28Speaker 1: of the one of the beautiful things, the nine beautiful things,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and that the Lord allows us to have once we
- 1:37Speaker 1: once we get it, Amen, once we get the spiritual growth,
- 1:40Speaker 1: once we get this word in our hearts and on
- 1:42Speaker 1: our minds, and we start applying what we know in
- 1:45Speaker 1: real time, we would be in James chapter number four,
- 1:48Speaker 1: verse number one. That's where we're going to start today. Amen,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I got some saw us today that we're gonna use
- 1:54Speaker 1: for self control and controlling our temper. So today's called
- 2:00Speaker 1: control your temper today in the morning, Devo. We have
- 2:02Speaker 1: any questions, comments, concerns, pray requests, or anything along those lines,
- 2:06Speaker 1: or maybe you want to share an experience of how
- 2:08Speaker 1: you're dealing in this area. Amen. The live chat is
- 2:11Speaker 1: there also if you're listening on the podcast as well,
- 2:14Speaker 1: there should be a way to connect contact us. Amen.
- 2:17Speaker 1: To that way. From whatever platform you're listening from, you
- 2:20Speaker 1: could connect with us as well. And of course, if
- 2:23Speaker 1: you're watching this from a livestream platform, my YouTube page, whatever,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you could also make a comment on there as well.
- 2:31Speaker 1: So let's go for it. Let's pray first. After we pray,
- 2:33Speaker 1: we'll share this out for like sixty seconds, and after
- 2:36Speaker 1: those sixty seconds would dive right into James chapter four,
- 2:38Speaker 1: verse number one, control your temper today on the morning. Devo. Father,
- 2:43Speaker 1: thank you for actually stepping in my situation from the
- 2:49Speaker 1: time is recording, which was yesterday. As you stepped in
- 2:53Speaker 1: and opened my eyes to something that I realized at
- 2:57Speaker 1: a quick moment. I saw something happen in my mind.
- 3:01Speaker 1: But thank God, you help me not take what was
- 3:06Speaker 1: in my mind and make it a reality in action.
- 3:09Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God that you will help us, help me,
- 3:12Speaker 1: help everybody that's dealing with this temper and anger issue.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Lo God, that you will put peace in our hearts,
- 3:17Speaker 1: peace in our minds, and that low God, we will
- 3:20Speaker 1: continue to trust in you and be obedient to your word.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Whereas peacemakers, we are exactly who you say we are,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and bless all the peacemakers that be us. I thank you,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Lord God for transforming and renewing and restoring and redeeming us.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Thank You for the hedge of protection physically, emotionally and
- 3:39Speaker 1: spiritually over my body, heart and soul, over my wife's body,
- 3:43Speaker 1: heart and soul, over our children, over our grandchildren, over
- 3:46Speaker 1: our family members from the very youngest to the very oldest,
- 3:49Speaker 1: and every single person in between. I pray that same
- 3:51Speaker 1: prayer over every single person that's listening and watching on
- 3:55Speaker 1: the other side of the screen or on the other
- 3:56Speaker 1: side of this mic. I thank you, Lord God for
- 3:58Speaker 1: every single person connected to this Morning Devo. Your word
- 4:02Speaker 1: is true, your word is relevant, your word is real,
- 4:05Speaker 1: your word is applicable, and we're gonna hope and pray
- 4:09Speaker 1: that these steps that we take according to your word
- 4:12Speaker 1: will really get results right away in our hearts and
- 4:15Speaker 1: our minds, and others will see the difference in our
- 4:17Speaker 1: reaction and our responses. I thank you, lok God for
- 4:21Speaker 1: your word, and I thank you for today and Jesus
- 4:23Speaker 1: Holy Name, my print is my faithor and all those
- 4:25Speaker 1: who agree, we say Amen to the Amen. Let's go
- 4:28Speaker 1: for it. Help me share this out, Brother Frank, I
- 4:30Speaker 1: see you, good morning. Same in your family. Bless you,
- 4:34Speaker 1: Good morning, Sam Well, bless you and as well. Sorry.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I meant brother saying I know I saw that and
- 4:41Speaker 1: when I said when I wrote, when I read it,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I was like, I know what he means. Thank you
- 4:44Speaker 1: so much, brother Frank, for coming through. Amen to the
- 4:47Speaker 1: morning Devo. Let's shut this out. When we get back,
- 4:50Speaker 1: we'll get right into Today's Morning Devo. I'll be right back.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Hey man, Amen, we're back. Let's go for it. Let's
- 6:07Speaker 1: see what the Word has for us today. I'm gonna
- 6:08Speaker 1: put it up on the screen. For those who are
- 6:10Speaker 1: just listening at so wins with a z dot org
- 6:13Speaker 1: or you're at live that so win is with a
- 6:14Speaker 1: z dot org. You can listen to the podcast there
- 6:17Speaker 1: as well, or watch what we're doing. Amen. For those
- 6:20Speaker 1: who are just listening in the audio version, I'm gonna
- 6:22Speaker 1: read the word for word. You're not gonna see the
- 6:24Speaker 1: graphics obviously, but I'm gonna read this word for word.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Thank you, God is great. Come and join the group
- 6:31Speaker 1: for sharing that this Morning Devo on your page. Thank
- 6:34Speaker 1: you so much. I'm shouting you out right now as
- 6:36Speaker 1: I see some people coming across sharing New Jerusalem World Evangelism.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Thank you so much for allowing this to share on
- 6:43Speaker 1: your huge platform. Amense, go through and trusting the Word
- 6:48Speaker 1: of God through this ministry. Amen, Sister Joanne, I see you.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Good morning, God bless you. Welcome back to the Morning Devo.
- 6:53Speaker 1: My sister and my friend. So I'm getting this ready
- 6:56Speaker 1: to put on the screen so we could see what's
- 7:00Speaker 1: going on here. Amen, let me get this ready that
- 7:04Speaker 1: you go. Nobody wants to see my cursor, So we're
- 7:08Speaker 1: gonna put this up on the screen right about now. Ope. Amen,
- 7:17Speaker 1: there goes a little little garaggy this morning, so I
- 7:23Speaker 1: get there. Right there, there goes James. Chapter four, verse
- 7:26Speaker 1: number one. Boble says, what leads to the unending quarrels
- 7:35Speaker 1: and conflicts among you? It's a question the question what
- 7:40Speaker 1: leads to that? Right? Definitely something leads to this. Amen.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Do they not come from your hedonistic desires that wage
- 7:53Speaker 1: war in your bodily members fighting for control over you? So,
- 7:59Speaker 1: in other words, what leads us to fight have conflicts
- 8:04Speaker 1: amongst each other? Have you ever thought about that? Thinking
- 8:07Speaker 1: about it now, because I was in a situation just
- 8:11Speaker 1: the other day. It almost caused me to get into
- 8:15Speaker 1: a quarrel right with somebody. Didn't know the person, but
- 8:20Speaker 1: still still almost caused me. And that's I think that's
- 8:24Speaker 1: based on the conflict that's in me, not in that person. Right,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I'm the born again believer. I don't know if that
- 8:31Speaker 1: person was born again, but it was in me. My
- 8:36Speaker 1: hedonistic desires of the flesh. Maybe there are evil desires
- 8:40Speaker 1: are the flesh This is the amplified version. So your
- 8:43Speaker 1: version might say something else, Amen, But this version in
- 8:49Speaker 1: the New Testament, amplified version says, do they not come
- 8:51Speaker 1: from your hedonistic desires that wage war in your body?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Lea members fighting for control over you? Right? So when
- 9:01Speaker 1: these issues come up, it's almost like who's fighting? Who
- 9:05Speaker 1: am I fighting a person? Or if I'm finding myself first?
- 9:09Speaker 1: And I believe the scripture is tetting us know that
- 9:11Speaker 1: we're actually fighting myself ourselves first, Amen, think about it. Really,
- 9:16Speaker 1: nobody has problems with anybody before we have problems with ourselves.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Nobody gets up to saying I'm gonna, you know, just
- 9:25Speaker 1: be angry. It's something internally going on when we're angry. Amen,
- 9:30Speaker 1: it's an emotion. Good morning, brother manuell see you, God
- 9:33Speaker 1: bless you. Welcome back to the morning Devo. Good morning,
- 9:35Speaker 1: see you inside issues with a man, Yeah, it could be.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You know, admittedly me, I'm supposed to be the peace maker.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be the man of peace, a man
- 9:46Speaker 1: in that situation, and I kind of like bypassed that
- 9:51Speaker 1: situation and almost created another situation. I almost created that
- 9:55Speaker 1: other situation. But thank you Jesus for the way out. Amen.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I was tempted to lose my temper. Amen. If that
- 10:03Speaker 1: makes any sense. A man is letustrate by the desires
- 10:07Speaker 1: of his heart, by his own evil, sinful desires, right Manuel,
- 10:11Speaker 1: That's how we actually separate it from God. Amen. And
- 10:15Speaker 1: my behavior gets a little bit off, I need to
- 10:18Speaker 1: check myself. I'm mature enough to know and admit when
- 10:24Speaker 1: it's my doing. Amen. I can't blame the whole world.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I can't make the assumption that this person was an unbeliever,
- 10:31Speaker 1: and I can't do that. I have to deal with
- 10:34Speaker 1: myself first. I'm only responsible for my response, Amen, responsible
- 10:40Speaker 1: for my response, and I'm hoping and trusting in God
- 10:43Speaker 1: that he will give us these practical steps that will
- 10:45Speaker 1: help us all in this area. Amen. So let's go
- 10:48Speaker 1: to my notes see what I learned so far. Amen.
- 10:55Speaker 1: As I studied this out, I ask yourself this question,
- 10:58Speaker 1: why am I angry? Ever thought about that? If you're angry,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I ask youself the question why am I angry? Is
- 11:06Speaker 1: it pride? That's huge, especially with men fear injustice or
- 11:13Speaker 1: feeling disrespected. I fell into the category. I fell into
- 11:17Speaker 1: the category of feeling disrespected yesterday. But the time it
- 11:21Speaker 1: is recording, right, and because I felt disrespected, I reacted
- 11:25Speaker 1: in the wrong way. Amen.
- 11:27Speaker 2: And thank you Jesus for your You have a way
- 11:32Speaker 2: of allowing things not to pop off for your children
- 11:38Speaker 2: in the right way.
- 11:39Speaker 1: So in other words, you gave us an opportunity of
- 11:41Speaker 1: space to disengage, Amen and keep it moving. Explained to
- 11:49Speaker 1: my I was with my daughter and her friend. I
- 11:51Speaker 1: explained to my daughter, she's ten years old from the
- 11:53Speaker 1: time it is recording, I said, if we see the
- 11:57Speaker 1: person again, I need you to go to the security
- 12:02Speaker 1: of the school. And she said, what's gonna happen? I said, well,
- 12:05Speaker 1: they'll know if something's happening, but it needs you to
- 12:10Speaker 1: not be in away, Amen. And I'm not. I'm just
- 12:13Speaker 1: being real about it and cautious about it. So that way,
- 12:17Speaker 1: if anything would transpire, Amen, that they will not. My
- 12:23Speaker 1: daughter will not be a harms reach and her friends
- 12:25Speaker 1: won't be a harms reach. Amen. This is real life stuff, right.
- 12:29Speaker 1: So I ask myself, why am I angry? Amen? And
- 12:33Speaker 1: for me it was I felt disrespected. Right. I'm not
- 12:41Speaker 1: even gonna go into this situation, but I felt disrespected.
- 12:44Speaker 1: But James, for one says, what causes fights and Cauls
- 12:47Speaker 1: among you starts off with a question, right, don't they
- 12:50Speaker 1: come from your desires that battle within you? This is
- 12:54Speaker 1: all eye opening scripture that helps me, at least a
- 13:00Speaker 1: man always find a reason to be a man of
- 13:03Speaker 1: peace and always apply what I know to be true
- 13:07Speaker 1: and to be right. Amen. We always have a way
- 13:10Speaker 1: of escape. Yes, we do for the man well. Humility.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Humility is power, Amen, Power and humility. There's another practical step, though,
- 13:24Speaker 1: when we are growing spiritually right, we know too much.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Like somebody told me weeks ago, you know too much
- 13:32Speaker 1: to do x y z. And it's true, and you
- 13:35Speaker 1: might know too much to do x y z before
- 13:39Speaker 1: we were born again, before we were saved. Some people
- 13:42Speaker 1: watching are born again. Some people watching are far from God.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Some people watching are curious about Christ and his work
- 13:50Speaker 1: in his life. Some people are in religion. Some people
- 13:54Speaker 1: think they're saved, but they have no power in them,
- 13:58Speaker 1: or they haven't applied what they know. But we might
- 14:01Speaker 1: know too much for us to be acting or responding
- 14:05Speaker 1: in the old ways. Amen. So when we're trying to
- 14:10Speaker 1: control our anger as a Christian, as a born again believer,
- 14:14Speaker 1: we have to be spiritually mature. We have to have
- 14:19Speaker 1: some kind of biblic understanding, man like, we have to
- 14:21Speaker 1: read the scriptures and come to an understanding of what
- 14:25Speaker 1: we're reading. Right, and once we align our behavior, once
- 14:30Speaker 1: we align our steps with the teachings of the Lord Jesus,
- 14:36Speaker 1: we can't go wrong. Don't you think that Jesus was
- 14:40Speaker 1: approached by people who hated him? You can read in
- 14:43Speaker 1: scriptures people who hit him, assaulted him, approach by these
- 14:48Speaker 1: people who lied about him, accuse him right, all kinds
- 14:53Speaker 1: of things. How did Jesus respond? They said, Yo, let's
- 14:57Speaker 1: knuckle up, let's square, let's square right now. No, he
- 15:02Speaker 1: amazingly kept it moving and at times Boble says that
- 15:06Speaker 1: he just went into the crowd and just got away. Amen.
- 15:11Speaker 1: He was a man of peace and blessed all the
- 15:15Speaker 1: peace makers. The scripture say he said it from a
- 15:17Speaker 1: sermon on the mind. I believe it was Acknowledge the
- 15:21Speaker 1: emotion first and foremost. Don't try to play it off
- 15:24Speaker 1: like I'm always happy when you know inside you're angry.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Acknowledge your emotion, right, don't deny it. Anger itself is
- 15:33Speaker 1: not a sin. We know that. According to the scripture,
- 15:37Speaker 1: it's what we do with the anger that matters. Even
- 15:43Speaker 1: Jesus got angry, do you remember Mark Chapter three, verse
- 15:46Speaker 1: number five, But his anger was righteous and under control.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Think about it. He could have flipped out, did all
- 15:57Speaker 1: kinds of stuff to others, but he had Asian chapter four,
- 16:02Speaker 1: verse twenty six says, be angry and do not sin.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Do not let the sun go down on your anger. Right.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Anger is a huge emotion. I always say that anger
- 16:17Speaker 1: is the drums, the drummer and the drum set of
- 16:20Speaker 1: the rhythm section. We got the bass, drums and keyboard,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and the drums are loud. Without the drums, we don't
- 16:28Speaker 1: keep the temple. And if you don't keep the temple,
- 16:31Speaker 1: you're out of temple. You don't have a temple. And
- 16:36Speaker 1: the song that somebody's gonna be going fast, somebody's gonna
- 16:38Speaker 1: be going slow, and it's not gonna sound harmonious. Anger
- 16:42Speaker 1: is that type of emotion. Anger is the drummer of
- 16:44Speaker 1: our lives. I call it, hey man, it's loud, and
- 16:48Speaker 1: if we don't keep that thing under control, everything else
- 16:51Speaker 1: is gonna be like clangs, symbols, clangs of symbols and noise.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It's not gonna be good. It's not gonna be a
- 16:58Speaker 1: good look for you or for me. Amen, pray first
- 17:03Speaker 1: and listen. Be careful with this one. I'm gonna tell
- 17:06Speaker 1: you I'm not saying even though I've heard testimonies. One
- 17:10Speaker 1: of my spiritual sons had a testimony that somebody ran
- 17:13Speaker 1: up to him with a gun and he got on
- 17:15Speaker 1: his knees because he was there was nothing else to do.
- 17:18Speaker 1: He posed his eyes and lifted up his hand and
- 17:20Speaker 1: started praying, and when he looked up, the person was gone,
- 17:23Speaker 1: and he's still alive. That's his testimony. I'm saying, Amen,
- 17:30Speaker 1: pray first before a situation arises, not during. You can
- 17:35Speaker 1: during if that's what God leads you to do. Amen.
- 17:38Speaker 1: But eyes open, right, there's a way to pray with
- 17:41Speaker 1: your eyes open. The word says, watch and pray. Amen.
- 17:46Speaker 1: That way you're safe in your surroundings. Trust in God
- 17:49Speaker 1: and prayer first, though, is always key to all I
- 17:52Speaker 1: will walk as believers in Christ. Go to God immediately, immediately,
- 17:59Speaker 1: ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond rather than react.
- 18:04Speaker 1: To help you respond rather than react. Amen. So that's
- 18:09Speaker 1: a biblical step, it's a practical step. Philippians four six
- 18:13Speaker 1: and seven. We're not supposed to be anxious about anything,
- 18:17Speaker 1: but in everything by prayer and supplication. That means praying
- 18:23Speaker 1: for somebody else with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made
- 18:28Speaker 1: known to God. Right. And then when we do that
- 18:32Speaker 1: and we're in consistent communication with others and with Christ first,
- 18:37Speaker 1: with God first, we're gonna start noticing that there's a
- 18:44Speaker 1: root cause of whatever we're going through. There's a root
- 18:46Speaker 1: cause of our temperatumptrums, a root cause of our anger.
- 18:50Speaker 1: There's always a root cause. Right, So I ask yourself,
- 18:53Speaker 1: why am I angry? Right? Is it pride, fear and
- 18:57Speaker 1: justice or fearing to suspected? And also be slow to speak.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I was too quick to speak my situation, and I
- 19:09Speaker 1: just asked the question really too soon, before even acknowledging
- 19:13Speaker 1: the surroundings, knowing what's going on. I just responded too quickly.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Maybe it was I was a little tired, a little
- 19:20Speaker 1: frustrated from the day when I'm making a season. I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: just saying, now I'm thinking about it. There's always an
- 19:26Speaker 1: eternal thing going on, and I have the Holy Spirit,
- 19:29Speaker 1: Holy Spirit walking and working and speaking and guiding in me.
- 19:35Speaker 1: That's why I believe I'm here confessing that I didn't
- 19:39Speaker 1: have it all right, Hey, man, this Holy Spirit is
- 19:44Speaker 1: reminding me of who I am in Christ's Holy Spirit
- 19:47Speaker 1: will remind you of who you are in Christ in
- 19:50Speaker 1: any given situation. And we're supposed to be the ones
- 19:54Speaker 1: that are being at peace with people as possible as
- 19:59Speaker 1: that could be according to scriptures. So I was not
- 20:03Speaker 1: slow to speak. So I was acting out in my
- 20:07Speaker 1: own way, not in the way of God. Responding in
- 20:11Speaker 1: the heat of anger can cause damage, and so true
- 20:17Speaker 1: thinking about it now, I could have caused some damage
- 20:20Speaker 1: amen to the whole situation. I could have created an
- 20:24Speaker 1: unsafe situation for my daughter and her friends because of
- 20:28Speaker 1: my reaction. Right, So I know you don't hear. Probably
- 20:32Speaker 1: a lot of people get on their live streams and
- 20:35Speaker 1: tell on themselves. But amen, this is a morning devotion,
- 20:38Speaker 1: with devoting some time to the Lord. We're gonna be
- 20:41Speaker 1: real with it, relevant with it. It's not about, oh,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I have it all together. Some preachers that you see
- 20:47Speaker 1: on TV, it seems like every time it's lights camera action,
- 20:50Speaker 1: they have it all together, almost in a perfect way.
- 20:54Speaker 1: But if you're if you have the eyes on what's
- 20:58Speaker 1: going on, you know that's not possible. You know that's
- 21:01Speaker 1: not true. When I'm here just communicating, letting you know
- 21:06Speaker 1: what's going on in my life as you're in the chat,
- 21:09Speaker 1: letting me know what's going on with you. Right, and
- 21:12Speaker 1: we're in this together together. It's so much better by
- 21:15Speaker 1: ourselves if I isolate, If I try to be by
- 21:17Speaker 1: myself and do this over and over again by myself,
- 21:20Speaker 1: it's not going to work out the way God wants
- 21:22Speaker 1: it to work out. So be slow to speak, pause
- 21:26Speaker 1: and reflect before speaking. The pause and reflect part was key.
- 21:33Speaker 1: If I would have just waited and seen what's going on.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Maybe I was in the wrong. Maybe I was in
- 21:39Speaker 1: the way of someone that was trying to get to somewhere. Right,
- 21:43Speaker 1: don't know. All I know is that I reacted too quick,
- 21:47Speaker 1: and I spoke out in the heat of anger, and
- 21:52Speaker 1: it almost caused damage. James, Chapter one, Versus, nineteen to twenty.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I think the Book of James to me is like
- 21:59Speaker 1: the New Testament Proverbs. Right, has a lot of wisdom, right,
- 22:03Speaker 1: a lot of applicable wisdom that you could apply today
- 22:06Speaker 1: in real time, just like the Book of Proverbs. But
- 22:09Speaker 1: James chapter one, nineteen and twenty says everyone should be
- 22:13Speaker 1: quick to listen. Right, we got two ears to listen
- 22:16Speaker 1: in one mouth, to speak, slow to speak, and slow
- 22:20Speaker 1: to become angry. That slow to become angry is the
- 22:23Speaker 1: attribute of God. It's characteristic of God because human anger
- 22:27Speaker 1: does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Human anger,
- 22:33Speaker 1: my anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
- 22:39Speaker 1: And hopefully I'll get this opportunity. But I'm gonna have
- 22:44Speaker 1: to ask for forgiveness. Because I'm the man of God.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I don't know about the other person. Forgive quickly. I
- 22:50Speaker 1: ask for forgiveness quickly. Holding onto anger turns into bitterness,
- 22:53Speaker 1: and bitterness. Have you ever been bitter against someone else?
- 22:57Speaker 1: It's like it's like sickness to your own self. It's
- 23:00Speaker 1: like trying to do harm to somebody else by offering
- 23:05Speaker 1: them something to drink that has poison it. Yet you,
- 23:08Speaker 1: yourself is drinking the poison. You're drinking the poison. That's
- 23:11Speaker 1: what bitterness is to the soul. Amen, Forgiveness is a
- 23:16Speaker 1: command and a key to peace. You want to walk
- 23:20Speaker 1: in peace, Walk in forgiveness. Amen. Bible is clear. If
- 23:25Speaker 1: I don't forgive, I will not be forgiven. That's God's word.
- 23:30Speaker 1: So be a peacemaker, be someone who slow to speak,
- 23:34Speaker 1: be someone who slow to anger. Understand the root cause.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Pray first, amen, acknowledge your emotion. These are steps we
- 23:42Speaker 1: could literally take on a day to day. So lift
- 23:45Speaker 1: this out in real time. Lodging three thirteen. Bear with
- 23:49Speaker 1: each other and forgive one another. Forgive as the Lord
- 23:54Speaker 1: forgive you. Right, we can't be hypocrites. I'm not going
- 23:58Speaker 1: to forgive that person, Well, then you're not forgiven. Lord
- 24:02Speaker 1: knows what he forgave me for over and over again.
- 24:05Speaker 1: The forgiveness is available, Amen. So who am I to
- 24:09Speaker 1: be like I'm not gonna forgive that person. I'm not
- 24:11Speaker 1: going to forgive that person. This person did this, that
- 24:14Speaker 1: person did that. Not can't do that. Can't be living
- 24:16Speaker 1: like that. That was the old way of thinking. That
- 24:19Speaker 1: was the only way I used to move. That was
- 24:20Speaker 1: the old way of life. That was my old sinful patterns.
- 24:24Speaker 1: And last time I checked, I'm not there anymore. And
- 24:27Speaker 1: last time you check, you're not there anymore. And if
- 24:29Speaker 1: you want to road to a path to peace, Amen,
- 24:33Speaker 1: we gotta get right with the one who is the
- 24:35Speaker 1: prince of peace, which is the Lord Jesus Christ. You
- 24:38Speaker 1: can't have the peace of God if you're don't have
- 24:40Speaker 1: peace with God. That's the point replacement. I love this
- 24:46Speaker 1: because this is I call it replacement theology. Replace your
- 24:49Speaker 1: anger with joy and peace, right, replace anger with the
- 24:54Speaker 1: fruit of the spirit. Listen to this. Anger loses its
- 24:59Speaker 1: power when you cultivate the character of Christ. Anger loses
- 25:03Speaker 1: his power when you don't feed it. Anger loses his
- 25:06Speaker 1: power when you don't gratify the flesh. Anger loses his
- 25:10Speaker 1: power when you are filled and empowered by Holy Spirit
- 25:14Speaker 1: God Latians five twenty two twenty three, very very popular
- 25:19Speaker 1: scripture that we always come to in this issue when
- 25:22Speaker 1: it deals with our emotion anger. But the fruit of
- 25:26Speaker 1: the spirit is what There's nine things listed here, but
- 25:31Speaker 1: it's one fruit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
- 25:42Speaker 1: self control. There should be nine there, and the Bible
- 25:46Speaker 1: says those nine are one fruit. We have it all,
- 25:50Speaker 1: amen and powered by Holy Spirit. Good Suddenly, you could
- 25:56Speaker 1: take these steps and apply them to date. Man, do
- 26:00Speaker 1: it quickly. Go back to this write down some notes, amen,
- 26:04Speaker 1: and check it out for yourself and apply it in
- 26:07Speaker 1: real time in your life. Let's see what happens. Be accountable.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I don't know. Some people are just like not approachable anymore.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I don't know what happened. Some people feel like they
- 26:16Speaker 1: graduated from being approachable to or go talk to my secretary,
- 26:21Speaker 1: talk to my deacon, talk to this person, to someone
- 26:24Speaker 1: needs you. You're sending other people that's weird. Right, seek
- 26:29Speaker 1: accountability and be accountable and be approachable. So do you
- 26:34Speaker 1: trust anybody? Have a trusted a Christian friend right or
- 26:38Speaker 1: mentor help you process the situations and keep you accountable.
- 26:43Speaker 1: It's all good, right, Proverbs twenty seven seventeen. As iron
- 26:46Speaker 1: sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another an amount of time.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Maybe we'll dive into this again on the next time
- 26:54Speaker 1: we get together. But listen, let's go for it. Have
- 26:57Speaker 1: a great day. Apply what you know. While we were
- 26:59Speaker 1: in James chapter number four, verse number one, read the
- 27:02Speaker 1: whole chapter of James chapter four for yourself. I hope
- 27:06Speaker 1: you were blessed. God bless you all, God keep you all,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and remember always that God is good. Please
