- 1:55Listen to the be forever cool podcast.
- 1:57My name is Rex 5. This tonight is groom groom
- 2:01Wednesdays old head Jamaicans. It's like Weddy Weddy but
- 2:06talking about motorcycles and. We're having a good.
- 2:08Time Moto GP just happened. Excited about that up yesterday.
- 2:18So. World Super Bike Moto 2 because
- 2:21a lot happened even super sport and this super sport, the sport
- 2:26bike class cause motorcycle racing is changing a little bit
- 2:31and I'm and I'm excited about it.
- 2:33But you know, I got to bring the guys in and see what they're up
- 2:36to and we're going to have a good time tonight.
- 2:38Master be forever cool podcast Tyson man welcome to the show
- 2:42man. How you doing tonight?
- 2:44I'm doing well, especially after not feeling so well for the last
- 2:47couple days. It's good to feel good again.
- 2:49Right. And you almost do like the the
- 2:50three count, like back in the days, those cartoons when you
- 2:53know they're sinking underwater. Pretty much.
- 2:56Saved. Yeah, pretty much.
- 3:00No doubt it's never fun. You must be almost getting
- 3:02ready. You must be ready for the race
- 3:04season because it's May, May 1st weekend in May up that way.
- 3:09Yep, I think it's another month now.
- 3:10I think I still have to get my license, still need to apply for
- 3:14that or pay for it. But yeah, I'll be ready.
- 3:19Soil change or two and I'll be good to go.
- 3:21Right, Yeah, The only downside is if someone else gets your
- 3:24number. What other?
- 3:25It happened a couple years ago. I was 415 and then I like was
- 3:29just being lazy and I registered and I got my number and so like
- 3:33damn it. So I just, I was like, well,
- 3:35maybe there's another 14 somewhere.
- 3:37So I switched to 417. I swear to God if someone has
- 3:40417 this year I'll be. Pissed No, I, I hear you.
- 3:43For me, I, I think I, when I first started, I was clueless.
- 3:46So I got like my prefix to my cell phone and then I was just
- 3:49like, oh, let me get something clever.
- 3:50So I was trying to get 45, but you can't get 45 into your, you
- 3:54can't get double digits into your expert.
- 3:56So I was like, all right, 1:45 So I was 145 for the longest for
- 3:59all I was able to become an expert.
- 4:01Now it's like pretty much most of the clubs on the East Coast
- 4:05and vice numbers 45, except for like Loudon and down Pan
- 4:09American series. But as soon as 45 frees up, I'm
- 4:13stacking that number up man. Waiting for it.
- 4:17It's for real. We bring the rest of the guys in
- 4:19and so we can talk about both the GP and World Super Bike.
- 4:23Jordan, man, welcome to the show folks.
- 4:25I don't want you to confuse this Jordan for Jordan #1 this is
- 4:30Jordan #2 I'm just, I'm just being silly.
- 4:33Welcome to the show, man. How you doing tonight?
- 4:35Not too bad, not too bad. Thank you Rexy for having me on.
- 4:40Nice man, you were just that Koda.
- 4:42So you got to side in person, up close and all that fun stuff.
- 4:47Was this your first time going to Koda or your repeat offender?
- 4:51It was my first time at Koda's second Moto GP event that I was
- 4:55able to go to. Oh man, what was the first one?
- 4:59First one was last year. It was definitely a bucket list
- 5:02race. I went to Modello, Italy and I
- 5:04did the, I did the, I did the full VIP apex package.
- 5:09I got to go to the garages, I got to meet the riders.
- 5:12I missed Valentino Rossi by about two minutes.
- 5:16And as you can tell, I'm a Valentino Rossi guy.
- 5:23Amazing time. Yeah, I went in 2018 and yeah,
- 5:28it was, it was amazing. I I, you know, I should know who
- 5:30was on the podium. It was, I think it was Rossi,
- 5:32Lorenzo and Dobby. And you know, I, I don't know
- 5:37about you for you last year when you went, but I wish I camped
- 5:40out there because the amount of people that camped out and, and
- 5:43like, was it the second day? The second day I took a nap on
- 5:47the hill so. That the atmosphere there is
- 5:53second to none and especially the guy with a 2 stroke with the
- 5:56megaphone all day just it get the blood going you know?
- 6:00Oh yeah, man, for sure, man. No, that's definitely, I think
- 6:03if anyone can go to Moto GP track, that's definitely the one
- 6:07to go to cuz you're going to have one.
- 6:10I mean, we're going to keep it moving, get it, get everyone in
- 6:13man. Lewis, last but not least, the
- 6:14numbers guy, man, you know, you're hard to, you know, to get
- 6:18on an Excel spreadsheet these days, man.
- 6:20What's going? On No, I've been, I've been
- 6:23busy. So first I want to apologize to
- 6:25everybody for not being on the last couple of episodes.
- 6:28I've been super busy traveling. I saw Reese picked up some of
- 6:31the slack talking crap on my behalf.
- 6:34So I thank Reese for that. But he's got a chill.
- 6:37He doesn't want this kind of heat that I get for saying some
- 6:39of the things that I say. Yeah, the pod can't afford this
- 6:47many body parts. So.
- 6:54So yes, I'm glad to be back. You know, I've been wanting to
- 6:56speak about motorcycles for the past two weeks.
- 6:58I just haven't had the opportunity to be free.
- 7:01I mean, you know, right now I feel like I'm taking Reese's
- 7:03spot because usually Reese is the one driving when we're on
- 7:06the podcast and I'm sitting at the desk.
- 7:08I know. I mean, this is almost the
- 7:10equivalent. I don't know if you've seen the
- 7:11memes of, you know, they're doing a team's meeting and one
- 7:15guy's on a motorcycle, his on the team's meeting with his
- 7:18camera on. So you know, it's almost the
- 7:21same thing even though you're in a car.
- 7:23I'm still in the meeting, man. I'm still in the meeting.
- 7:25I'm ready to to talk about all the things that I kind of missed
- 7:28out on and all the new things that have popped up.
- 7:31This weekend was incredible. You guys were just talking about
- 7:34going to Europe and seeing a Moto GP.
- 7:36The number one place to watch a number of Moto GP is the last
- 7:41race of the season in Jarez. That is the ultimate place to
- 7:45watch a Moto. GPI don't care what anybody
- 7:47says. Haven't been to Moto GPS all
- 7:50over the world. Perez is a different animal.
- 7:53Just because of the way the track is constructed.
- 7:55It almost feels like you're watching a supercross race
- 7:58because it's it's a stadium and anywhere you sit in the stadium,
- 8:01you can see almost every other part of the track and the
- 8:04atmosphere there is next level. I mean, you know, it's just a,
- 8:08it's a different animal. It's the end of the year.
- 8:11The crowds are insane. And what you were talking about
- 8:14camping there. There's a lot of things in Moto
- 8:17GP when we go to the CODA that when you go to Europe, it's
- 8:20completely different. It's a completely different way
- 8:23of organizing things in Europe than it is here at CODA.
- 8:27So yeah, yeah, we need to, you know, once that once we get
- 8:31some, some really good ad money, maybe the whole team can go to
- 8:36Europe together. Listen, you, you put it out to
- 8:39the universe, man. Now, now it's going to happen
- 8:41for sure. You know what I'm saying?
- 8:44Make sure our passports are ready because we might, we might
- 8:47be going to her as at the end of the year.
- 8:51What's going on, fella? Fellas, you know this week, in
- 8:54this past week and it's been crazy.
- 8:55It's the third round, I think all the rounds so far.
- 9:00I don't know if it's part of the offseason banter that we have
- 9:03seen and and also been a part of with all the trade rumors and
- 9:07who's going to do what with these rookies and stuff like
- 9:09that. And I know Brazil with the
- 9:11weather that that put a big monkey wrench in things for
- 9:15everything. And and we saw a lot of
- 9:17crashing, but in Coda we saw a lot of crashing and the weather
- 9:20wasn't as crazy. So, you know, we'll go around
- 9:23the horn and and just give her an overview of what you thought
- 9:26of the weekend in your own words.
- 9:28We start with Tyson, man, you know?
- 9:30What do you think of the weekend in Coda?
- 9:32I enjoyed the race quite a bit. This certainly was a bit of
- 9:35crashing. I think that's for, you know,
- 9:37various reasons. But yeah, I enjoyed it quite a
- 9:41bit. It was good to see top rack
- 9:42getting his first point. Did enjoy seeing that.
- 9:47But yeah, it's really showing that I probably have bought.
- 9:50I've brought a damn good bike this year.
- 9:52Like that is a good bike. I'm I'm ready to, you know, like
- 9:58to owner and like Tourette. Trading our Ducatis for Aprilia
- 10:03that. RSV four.
- 10:05Wait a minute, Rondelle. No, no, no, I I learned a little
- 10:10while ago, I'm just going to keep adding until, until, until
- 10:13I'm ready to sell them all because it's I still remember
- 10:15the ones I sold and I was like, oh man, I should have kept
- 10:18those. So you know, but the Aprilia is
- 10:20definitely I it's good to see. I mean, we saw with Ducati, we
- 10:24got, we saw a glimpse of good talk.
- 10:25We talked Ducati when they first came into Moto GP and then, you
- 10:29know, 2019-2020, what they've been able to do and the
- 10:32struggles with Aprilia. I mean, you had riders, you
- 10:36know, Joe Roberts and some of these other guys that didn't
- 10:38want to sign to Aprilia Once Upon a time, you know what I'm
- 10:40saying? And, and so to see where they're
- 10:42at now, you know, for those guys that got to pull your shirts,
- 10:46it's a good feeling. Jordan, man, you were there in
- 10:48person. You've been to a couple Moto GP
- 10:51rounds, maybe even more, you know, What was your thought of
- 10:54the weekend, the experience and and and what you saw on on
- 10:58track? My thought top to bottom, it was
- 11:00a very good weekend. I will say the hospitality here
- 11:05in at Coda lacks tremendously to any race over in Europe and we
- 11:11need to fix that sadly. But other than that, top to
- 11:16bottom, I had a great weekend. On my way to the track, race
- 11:20day, I had Mark Marquez literally right behind me in the
- 11:23vehicle. I got a nice little vehicle.
- 11:25I wanted to jump out, but the light turned green and you know,
- 11:29I had to make a decision. Other than that, I ran into a
- 11:32bunch of riders. I got a bunch of autographs.
- 11:36It was great to see Top Rack in his first points.
- 11:38That's one of my favorite riders.
- 11:40I've been saying for about the last four years I wanted him in
- 11:43Moto GP. Finally it's happening and look
- 11:46at the results and it just looks awesome.
- 11:48Other than that, my one of my favorite riders starting the
- 11:52season was Marco Bazecki. I met him last year, got a
- 11:55picture. I have his autograph and from
- 11:57then he's in the VR 46 camp. He has just been absolutely on
- 12:02fire. And I'll tell you, I ran into
- 12:04him, I think it was Friday morning, my first day there.
- 12:08I took the wrong entrance. The VIP wasn't open yet and he
- 12:12literally walked right by me. I ended up stopping him, told
- 12:15him, hey, I met you last year. I shook his hand.
- 12:17I said, listen, you're my favorite rider right there.
- 12:20Go out there and kick ass. So for him to go on and win the
- 12:24race, and I also bought a nice autographed memento that he
- 12:30signed out the track that day, so I think the value just went
- 12:33up. Nice, nice.
- 12:35We're going to talk about the amenities and, and stuff like
- 12:37that. Let's get Lewis in 'cause I know
- 12:39he, he's crunching the numbers already.
- 12:41Man, what part of the week? And you were there, you know,
- 12:45you get to see a different view. You know, I, I was, I, I was
- 12:48thinking about this earlier today and you know, it's kind of
- 12:51like, you know, and, and having, you know, Jordan on when I
- 12:54reached out when, when we connected and it was going to
- 12:57have on and, and you know, what shakes is the one that connected
- 13:00us, right? So and, and, and, you know, he's
- 13:03like, I'm a super fan. And I was like, I remember when
- 13:05I was a super fan thinking about music, but like when I started
- 13:08playing music and, and being on the other side, like I'm a fan
- 13:11of it. And but it's not the same thing
- 13:13and the same thing with race. And it's like, it's like I'm a
- 13:15fan of watching racing. But if you ask me, can I hang
- 13:19out with all these Moto GP riders and hang out and party or
- 13:23get on a bike and go on go on a Mojelo.
- 13:26I'm going to Mojelo all day long, you know what I mean?
- 13:28So it's a different perspective when you're when you're behind
- 13:31the scenes. So like, what was it like for
- 13:33you at the track this weekend? I mean, for me it's, it's, I
- 13:37love the racing part. So whenever the races on, you
- 13:41know, we stop working and we watch the races on TV more than
- 13:44anything else. Like we're in the support
- 13:46paddock and we'll stop and watch the race on TV.
- 13:49So it's almost like if you look at the team members, when the
- 13:53riders go out, once they go out, all the members of the team come
- 13:56inside and they're just standing there like this looking at the
- 13:58TV screens for the entire race. And that's how we are.
- 14:01Like we're doing so much stuff during the entire weekend that
- 14:04when it's race time, it's good for us because we're not
- 14:07working. And we're just sitting there and
- 14:09watching it on TV and it's like, yeah, it's right outside the
- 14:11door. It's like, I don't want to go
- 14:12outside. It's it's hot, man.
- 14:14I'm just going to watch it on TV.
- 14:15So it's like being at a baseball game and watching it on your
- 14:18phone or being at a basketball game and watching it on your
- 14:21phone. Like that's the experience we
- 14:23have. We still enjoy it, but it
- 14:25doesn't have like, for us the the allure.
- 14:29For instance, like, you know, Vietay recommended that we go to
- 14:35eat at a place one night and we went to eat at that place.
- 14:37And when we got back the next day, we're like, we might not
- 14:40sign you next week. That place sucks.
- 14:43Like you, you sent us to eat at the worst.
- 14:45They said, oh, but I really liked it.
- 14:46I was like, yeah, because the chicks there were half naked,
- 14:49but the food was horrible. Yeah.
- 14:53So it's a different experience. Yeah, I listen, man.
- 14:57I mean, at least you're you're in a position where you can you
- 14:59can say something like that to be 8 day.
- 15:03It's not everyone else was just not, you're like, all right,
- 15:05just don't take advice. I mean, the same thing with
- 15:09Martine because they were talking about, I saw an
- 15:11interview with him in a racer. No, it wasn't Martine.
- 15:14It was Bizecki. And it was like, I think it was
- 15:17the Young Motor Junior Cup. It was Hank Bosberg because we
- 15:20actually connected him together to do that interview.
- 15:22So yeah, exactly. And he was talking about a
- 15:25burger and what he wanted on a burger, and he's like a burger
- 15:27and cheese. And I think that was it.
- 15:29I was like, oh man, he means he needs to get a good burger.
- 15:33But you know enough about Food Guys.
- 15:36So the weekend happened. We saw a lot of crashes.
- 15:41We saw a lot of change in Fast Guys, you know, before you guys
- 15:46got to the weekend. I mean, you know, for me, I, I
- 15:49thought like Aprilia was going to do it, but I also thought
- 15:52some of the Ducati riders and KTM riders would have, would
- 15:55have done something. You know what?
- 15:58What did you think, you know, between practice to and and and
- 16:01qualifying? Because we saw, you know, the
- 16:04top five riders change a lot. We start with Tyson, man.
- 16:10I mean, I figured that the Ducatis and the Aprilias would
- 16:13probably be fighting for, you know, top spot into qualifying
- 16:17and Pedro could, you know, make an attempt at it as well a cost.
- 16:22But there's just that sneaking just the way the Aprilias have
- 16:25been riding lately. That's like, I don't know if the
- 16:28Ducatis have it anymore, like maybe for a poll, but like, can
- 16:32they hold on to it? You know, like they might get
- 16:34poll, but I'm like some in previous years that grabbed that
- 16:36pole and you'd be like, OK, well, the race is over.
- 16:38Like Ducati is going to win this.
- 16:40But like now it's like, I mean, Marco Butseki is winning from
- 16:444th, 5th place on the, you know, the starting grid.
- 16:46And Jorge Martine too, he was a what, 3rd, 4th and he won the
- 16:51Sprint. So it's tough.
- 16:57No, I, I, I, I agree, man. It is.
- 17:00It was pretty wild to see because, you know, I think
- 17:03everyone thought that Mark was going to run away with it this
- 17:06week, this year, right? It was, I think, you know, we're
- 17:09all sitting here at the beginning of the season saying,
- 17:12you know, Marquez was, I mean, it was going to be the guy to do
- 17:14it. We even felt like Alex was going
- 17:16to be #2 and everyone else was going to be trailing behind.
- 17:19And now, you know, we see back Nadia is, is, you know,
- 17:25finishing second on the on the Sprint, could have probably won
- 17:29the Sprint if he didn't get, you know, punted out the way by his
- 17:32good buddy. Oh, hey, Martine, who, you know,
- 17:35hasn't you know, I, I get a lot of knowledge that I can use, but
- 17:40I'll leave it there. What are your thoughts Jordan
- 17:43on, you know, Aprilia and Ducati and just swapping around as far
- 17:47as you know, FP2 and and and qualifying 1 and 2?
- 17:53Yeah, so I thought Digia looked very strong, and especially
- 17:59going into the main race, I didn't expect Iagara to do so
- 18:04well and come on so strong. It was heartbreaking to see him
- 18:08go out like that after such a performance.
- 18:10But I did expect Digia and Mark. I thought coming into this they
- 18:15were going to settle a few things from the previous rounds
- 18:19and I really do like how Digia is riding.
- 18:22He's a fearless guy. He's a guy that's not scared of
- 18:25Mark. You see some riders, in my
- 18:27opinion, they ride as if they're a little weary as Mark and they
- 18:31give him a little too much respect.
- 18:33In my eyes, a guy like that, you just got to send it up the
- 18:37inside and, you know, race him exactly how he races everybody
- 18:41else. And that's what I see Digia
- 18:42doing in the main race. I thought he was going to finish
- 18:46a little bit higher, but other than that, the Aprilia's kind of
- 18:50with Bazecki. I, he was my favorite coming in
- 18:53and I'm, I'm just glad he was able to fulfill the dream.
- 18:58The only thing is he does have to figure out the Sprint
- 19:01Saturdays. He has the main race figured
- 19:04out. It just seems early on.
- 19:06Maybe if they'd start their homework a little bit earlier
- 19:10and worked with, you know, the soft tire seems to be his a
- 19:14little bit of Achilles heel. But other than that, race kind
- 19:18of went how I wanted. I'm not too much of A Mark fan.
- 19:21I respect the hell out of him, fast as hell, but some of the
- 19:25way how he races, it's glad. I was glad to see.
- 19:29Did you kind of sauce them up a little bit and come out on top?
- 19:33Right. No, I I agree with it with
- 19:36everything you say. You know, we, we have a pool of
- 19:40sorts going and I've yet to pick mark as getting on the podium.
- 19:45You're a. Rossi fan.
- 19:46That's why. I I respect it.
- 19:47No, no, no, I respect the hell out of them.
- 19:49I'm, I'm protesting. I'm doing it.
- 19:52Ducati shouldn't sign them in my eyes, because they didn't need
- 19:56they did. I mean, Lewis is going to tell
- 19:58me that you know how much he how much bikes and stuff he's
- 20:01selling and that's and he's probably 100% right.
- 20:03But from a fan perspective, Ducati would have won last year
- 20:07regardless who was riding a bike because they had the top bike
- 20:10lash. Maybe not because Mark was able
- 20:13to do something different on that 25 bike that Digia and and
- 20:16and back now you couldn't have done so.
- 20:18But anyway, I digress. Lewis man, you know?
- 20:24I, I, I, you didn't get a chance to pick, I think you got a
- 20:26couple of DNFS Be forever cool is like race direction.
- 20:31We make it up as we go along. So.
- 20:35We have a we have an internal betting pool at the office or
- 20:39inside the company and I did pretty good this weekend.
- 20:43My order was a little bit off for the Sprint, but I did have
- 20:48Mazeki, Martine, Mark, Pekko and Acosta in the top five for the
- 20:59Sprint. So the only, you know, I was
- 21:01only off a little bit there. And then for the main race I did
- 21:04have Bezeki Mark in second. I had Acosta in 3rd, Martine in
- 21:124th and Pekko in 5th. So I had the right people, just
- 21:16not necessarily in the right order, you know, which happens.
- 21:22The only person that really showed something incredible for
- 21:25the me this weekend was Agura. And you know, I got to see him
- 21:29on Monday. Super nice, super shy guy,
- 21:32really quiet. But he was still kind of, you
- 21:37could tell that the dude was still a little bit dejected
- 21:39about what happened. He raced his heart out and, you
- 21:42know, the bike gave up on him. He didn't give up on the bike.
- 21:45So, but I, I think it showed that he had a, he has great
- 21:48potential And, and I, and that Aprilia is the bike to beat this
- 21:51year. You know, they showed it that
- 21:53the latter part of last year, they came out really strong.
- 21:56They found something, they put something together that really
- 21:58started to show consistency. And now they come into this year
- 22:01and they're, you know, their guys are the top, in the top 6
- 22:05to top seven constantly. Whereas Ducati is a little bit
- 22:08of a hodgepodge of, you know, first place, 5th place, 6th
- 22:12place, 8th place. You know, Alex Marquez is not
- 22:15having a good time in this year. Ferman Albaguer came in injured.
- 22:20Mark Marquez is still recouping from injury and maybe not 100%.
- 22:24And even though Peko has showed some flashes of brilliance, I
- 22:27mean he still hasn't been able to put the packs together that
- 22:30keeps him there till the end of the race.
- 22:33Yeah, I agree. He has not been able to put it
- 22:36together and Ducati is struggling.
- 22:38And and I think, you know, I, I said it last year and, and you
- 22:43know, we, I feel like Danny Pedrosa because it took a while
- 22:46for everyone else to to catch on and I, I don't know how they
- 22:50resolve the issues. I mean, it's still pretty early,
- 22:54but you know it, it's like these guys are all sharks, right?
- 22:58When you smell blood in the water, you know, you can make
- 23:00miracles happen, even if Ducati sorts it out, which I assume
- 23:04they will let let's talk about the penalties and the penalties,
- 23:13lack of penalties, man, you guys were there.
- 23:16We'll start with Tyson 1st and then we'll get to Jordan.
- 23:18But like, you know, you saw them, Mark, Mark took out Digia.
- 23:23I I think that like, you know, since last year, last year, Mark
- 23:28wouldn't have made these kind of passes, right?
- 23:31I mean, last year Mark was doing what Bez was doing, taking
- 23:34himself out of first place because just trying to just do,
- 23:36do a little bit too much. It it, it could be the shoulder,
- 23:40it could be the bike. Why he has to ride like that?
- 23:43What are your thoughts on, you know, Mark and and and and that
- 23:47incident and you know, let's talk about the incident between
- 23:50back Bagnaia and Hey, Martinez. Well, right, because there was
- 23:54nothing there, but you know, it seems like they should have been
- 23:56something there as well. What are your thoughts, Tyson?
- 23:59Yeah, I think Mark was just, you know, the pressure of going
- 24:02Dakota where it's kind of like his home away from home track
- 24:05wise. He's everyone's expecting him to
- 24:08win the race. He's expecting himself to win
- 24:10the race. And I think he just, he just saw
- 24:13his opportunity, what little opportunity he actually had and
- 24:17went for it and made a mistake. And I mean, you're right, I
- 24:20don't think he would have made that.
- 24:22I mean, at the beginning of the season last year, he may have
- 24:24made that same choice, but not the mark that won the
- 24:29championship last year. I mean, he was very composed.
- 24:31He kind of like, OK, I can win this easily, but I have to like
- 24:34come home with points and just start chipping away at this
- 24:37championship. And he easily did that last
- 24:40year. But I don't think it's going to
- 24:42look, he's going to have to put on like his superhero suit and
- 24:45and win this championship if he he wants to walk away with it
- 24:48this year. And there's quite a big hole
- 24:50that's being dug already in these first 3 rounds.
- 24:53Obviously there's a lot more to go.
- 24:54Anything can happen. But yeah, if he's a previous,
- 24:57just keep tacking on wins, it's going to be tough for him to
- 25:01come back. But it wasn't the Petco and
- 25:04Martine crash. That was just the rub in the in
- 25:06the first corner. Yeah, yeah.
- 25:08Was it, was it the first corner? Was it the back straight?
- 25:11It's like running for the last, you know, steak and cheese or
- 25:13the last TV. It might be a little bit colder
- 25:18you. Know, yeah, I mean, I I can I
- 25:22can see it either way. Like I probably wouldn't like if
- 25:25I was given the choice personally, I'd be like, ah, you
- 25:27know, a a little Robbins, a little race and kind of deal.
- 25:30But the best pass should be, you know, the one, everyone, every
- 25:34rider should pass like a IAGUA pass.
- 25:37Did you? Yes, I agree, but they're not
- 25:41all like that. I mean, Warbadeli's still on the
- 25:44grid. OK.
- 25:45Shockingly, hasn't done anything yet this year.
- 25:48He'd had like an incident every race for like the first five
- 25:51races last year, didn't he? It's not much you can.
- 25:54It's not much you can do in 18th place, so fair enough.
- 25:59Who really cares what happens back there?
- 26:03Oh, man, yeah, do it, man. You know, what are your thoughts
- 26:05with the incidents? You know, the, you know, between
- 26:08Mark and and Didgia and also Pekko and Martine and also the,
- 26:15the, the, the, the wheelie that that you cracked on are not a
- 26:19good look. I mean, you know, did did
- 26:21everybody kind of did in the stadium at the same time?
- 26:26The The funny thing is actually, since I actually ducked right
- 26:31into the VIP area as it was happening, I didn't find out
- 26:37that it happened until I got home.
- 26:39And I rewatched the race and I rewatched the interviews and I
- 26:42was like, wait, wait a second. I I was there and I missed this.
- 26:46So that to answer your question, I I fully missed it.
- 26:50I must have been in in and out, but I was also beelining
- 26:53backstage to try to get some autographs so.
- 26:56I don't want. Mine.
- 26:58But back to about Mark and the penalties, I will say on my way
- 27:03to the on race day when I was coming in, I look behind me and
- 27:07it was, this was out in town probably about 5 miles before we
- 27:11even got to the track. I look behind me, there's Mark
- 27:14Marquez in the GMC truck being driven and I'm at a stoplight.
- 27:18So I'd look, but I tell you he was working his right arm the
- 27:23whole time that I was looking in the rearview mirror pretty good
- 27:27on the lead up. So I so I believe he's a little
- 27:31that injury that he had was more serious than they led on to his
- 27:35recovery time is taking a little bit longer.
- 27:38Let's be honest. He is getting older and when
- 27:40when you're older, you can have the best doctors in the world,
- 27:42but the body is the body. So I think now he's starting to
- 27:45feel it a little bit a the pressure BI don't think his body
- 27:50is correct too. So I think he's what he's doing.
- 27:53He's doing a lot of overriding and that's lead into some of the
- 27:56penalties. And if we're being honest,
- 27:58that's kind of what he's known for in the past.
- 28:00And so it's kind of the old mark is showing itself, even though
- 28:03this past year he's been on his, you know, the Ducati Very Good
- 28:07Boy Tour. His last year seemed like he
- 28:10fully changed. But now when you're not on the
- 28:12best bike, when the pressure's on, it's starting to show.
- 28:17Other than that, the other penalties or the lack thereof, I
- 28:22think a lot of it while like Robin is racing a lot of close
- 28:25incidents, but I think a lot of it was called pretty fair in the
- 28:30in the main race I would say, yeah, that's my take all.
- 28:36Right, All right. That's what's up.
- 28:37Louis, man, did you break out your tape measure?
- 28:41Should have Marquez signed the contract soon, The art before
- 28:44the season started or we just got to stay calm.
- 28:47No worries. No, you got to, I mean,
- 28:50everybody that's saying that Marquez is under pressure, I
- 28:53mean, there's only a handful of guys in this sport that can take
- 28:56the pressure. Like these guys can take it,
- 28:58especially Mark Rossi, Lorenzo. These guys, pressure is what
- 29:03they eat. What?
- 29:04You know they eat Brex pressure for breakfast.
- 29:06Right. No doubt.
- 29:07You know, so it's, it's and he, what pressure does he have?
- 29:10He's a fucking millionaire. Oh, what are they going to find
- 29:13me? You think that Ducati, if he
- 29:17crashes every race to hear the end of the year, you think
- 29:19Ducati still doesn't offer him a contract?
- 29:23So the only difference that's happening this year versus last
- 29:25year is the passes that he was getting away with last year.
- 29:29He's not getting away with this year.
- 29:31You know, the crash that he had with Digia last year, he does
- 29:34that crash. I think what people are
- 29:36underestimating is 1. He does have injuries.
- 29:39He's still not recovered from the crash from last year where,
- 29:44you know, he was taken out ceremoniously by Bez and injured
- 29:50seriously. And if you look now, you know,
- 29:54everybody is racing him very, very hard.
- 29:57And they raced him hard before. But if you look when he was
- 30:00between Digia and Pekko, it seemed like those motherfuckers
- 30:06had a little extra incentive to race is super hard.
- 30:09They didn't race each other hard.
- 30:11So it seems like it's one guy out there racing like 7.
- 30:14Hold. Hold on, Hold on.
- 30:15Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
- 30:17Wait, wait, Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
- 30:19Lewis. Lewis last last year, Mark was
- 30:23doing exactly the same thing these writers are doing to him
- 30:26and we were sitting here saying who is going to challenge this
- 30:29guy? Because it seems like everybody
- 30:30just letting him do whatever. Now he's.
- 30:33Because he was, because he was getting away with it, because he
- 30:37had more speed, because remember, he also got injured on
- 30:40Friday. You guys didn't see his hand.
- 30:42It's not just his shoulders messed up.
- 30:44His hand was jacked up the entire weekend.
- 30:46So if you, I saw him on clothes, yeah.
- 30:49Going backwards with gloves is not the way it's moving.
- 30:53So the inside of his palm was jacked up.
- 30:56I saw him when he was at his autograph signing and that
- 30:59entire palm was scratched up, bandaged, everything else.
- 31:02So the dudes racing with injuries, the dude's doing with
- 31:05the best he can. The bike is obviously not as
- 31:08good as it was last year or not as competitive.
- 31:10So he's doing what he normally does is trying to make up with
- 31:12a, with talent the previous, the better package.
- 31:17He's still the better rider on the Ducati and I think he's
- 31:19going to put it together at some point.
- 31:21The thing is, you know, like we just, he just said he's not 21
- 31:27anymore. When he gets injured, he doesn't
- 31:29bounce back the next day. A cortisone shot alone doesn't
- 31:32do it. You know, when you wake up the
- 31:34next morning, you're stiff. That's that's age, man.
- 31:37When you're 21, you crash the next day you wake up, you're
- 31:41good to go. 30 something Those living teeth feel good, man.
- 31:47Yeah, yeah, those ligaments, they they they, they go from
- 31:50rubber to cement at some point. And then, you know, you realize
- 31:53that one morning when you go to get out of bed and you start
- 31:56hearing cracking and freaking and all kinds of noises you
- 31:58never heard before from your back.
- 32:01And I just think that's where he's at right now.
- 32:03He just needs to, you know, keep racing.
- 32:04Calm down. He is injured.
- 32:06Let's see how serious this injury is, man.
- 32:09Maybe that's one of the reasons he didn't sign the contract.
- 32:11Maybe he's just like, you know what?
- 32:12This might be my last year, maybe this injury is, you know,
- 32:16I've got enough money. I'm only racing for the
- 32:20opportunity to try to tie an all time championship, you know, put
- 32:25myself in in the history books a little bit more than I already
- 32:28am. There's no chance that 100 years
- 32:30from now nobody's going to know the name Mark Marquez.
- 32:32He's going to be remembered forever in this sport.
- 32:35The dude is amazing. You know, it's him, Augustini,
- 32:37Rossi. Those names will live on
- 32:39forever. But, you know, maybe it's time
- 32:42for him to just say, you know, let me get through the season,
- 32:44see what I can do. Maybe that's why he hasn't
- 32:46signed, man. Maybe he's just in that mindset
- 32:48that maybe this is my last year, man, I'm just going to see what
- 32:50I can do. Yeah, and I, I hear you, man.
- 32:52You know, we, we, we see it in golf and and these sports.
- 32:56I mean, you know, you know, you know.
- 32:58Some records, I guess, like the the great Phil Jackson, are not
- 33:02meant to be broken. And then as far as the rules,
- 33:06you know, with the passing, you know, the problem is that they
- 33:11set a very high bar from the rule in the very first race of
- 33:15the season. And now every single time a pass
- 33:20like that's made, it's always registered back to that first
- 33:23time they use the rule. So if you set the bar really the
- 33:27bar really high, you know, anytime something happens, we're
- 33:31like, wait a second. They always referred back to the
- 33:34first time. Is that another way of saying
- 33:36they might be more consistent this year?
- 33:39No, they're less consistent. They're Chipotle diarrhea
- 33:42consistent. Like you could see the corn in
- 33:47the consistency. That's how consistent their shit
- 33:49is. Bro.
- 33:53The the the rule is if you make a pass and the other person has
- 33:57to adjust their line because you make a pass in a way that
- 34:01interferes with their line, it's a penalty whether you make
- 34:06contact or not. That's the the nature of the
- 34:08rule, but it's not being applied that way.
- 34:11For me a good pass is like a drive by shooting.
- 34:14Nobody knows what happens until the body hits the ground.
- 34:18Yes, yes, yes, we, we, we know a little bit about your history,
- 34:27but you know, let's let me ask everyone this and I, I said this
- 34:31before, I don't know if I asked you this, Lewis, you know, can
- 34:38Martine save his seat with a perillion?
- 34:41And I, and I think, I think you might have, you know, when I, if
- 34:44he wins, you know, 13 Sprint races, you know, 15 GP races,
- 34:50like if he wins the title, you know, 'cause it, it, you know,
- 34:54we see coaches get fired after winning titles, We see people
- 34:57get traded after winning titles and stuff like that.
- 35:01You know, is this one of those situation where that old, old
- 35:06mentality of like you wronged the situation, you got to pay?
- 35:11I mean, 'cause you know, so is this one of the times you go
- 35:14pass? Normally, normally I would say
- 35:18winning cures everything. When you're winning, every
- 35:21ailment is cured. Every pain stops happening as
- 35:25soon as you start winning. Winning cures everything.
- 35:29In this situation, he wronged a group of Italians, he wronged an
- 35:38entire company. He embarrassed an entire company
- 35:41publicly. Legally.
- 35:44Publicly. Publicly, legally, in the eyes
- 35:48of the people, he wronged this company, he he put them through
- 35:53a social media and APR nightmare.
- 35:57And I really don't think having knowing some of the people that
- 36:00Piaggio that I know and knowing I even if he wins every Sprint
- 36:05from down to the end of the year, even if he comes in second
- 36:07of the championship, that second seed is going to Peko Bagnaya.
- 36:12Listen, all I got to say is, you know, we've seen a lot of good
- 36:17movies and books where the situation is they they triumph,
- 36:21but it's not a win. Jordan, what are your thoughts
- 36:23on the situation? Do you disagree with Lewis?
- 36:26Should Piaggio say, look, man, let's just take this one on the
- 36:29chin. Business is good.
- 36:32I and I agree with him 100%. I, I was a massive Martin fan.
- 36:38To see him win on a satellite team and then get passed up by
- 36:42Mark Marquez. It was horrible to see in my
- 36:45opinion. And then I, I always looked at
- 36:48him with a chip on his shoulder. I wanted him to come in Aprilia
- 36:52hit the ground running and I wanted him to take it to Mark
- 36:55and take it to him. Fast, Fast forward a year, we
- 37:00have the injuries and everything.
- 37:02The man did not even have a chance to try the bike out
- 37:05properly and then all of a sudden it's the bike and try to
- 37:08leave. Like the gentleman said before
- 37:12me, he wronged a whole manufacturer and the Italians
- 37:16are they are a proud people and like he said, he'd win every
- 37:21single race from here on out. I think the the the bridges
- 37:25burned and I believe it's probably 9598% that he's going
- 37:30straight to Yamaha. Come on, even if he says I was
- 37:32on some strong opioids, I didn't know what I was saying.
- 37:35You know what I'm saying? I shouldn't have been out there
- 37:37in the first place. Yeah, it's crazy times.
- 37:44Crazy times. Come on, Tyson man.
- 37:46Tell, tell, tell us there's some hope in this situation here,
- 37:49because I. Don't know.
- 37:52On a, on a Aprilia, and I mean, I looking at him on the Aprilia,
- 37:57it reminds me of Lorenzo on the, on the Yamaha.
- 38:01Maybe he's like once he gets going, he's he's, he's, he's not
- 38:06going to crash out like like some of the other people.
- 38:09Yeah, I don't think that's going to save him.
- 38:12I mean, just the irony though of him trying to initiate a
- 38:15performance clause, you know, roughly ish a year ago and then
- 38:20now here we are. They're the best bike on the
- 38:22grid. Like, that is pretty wild.
- 38:24Like the first couple of races of last season, they looked like
- 38:27a solid third best bike, you know, and then just somehow just
- 38:31turned it around to best bike. But yeah, no, he's boned.
- 38:34I don't think they're going to. I've heard everyone's kind of
- 38:37made a bunch of signings, but I haven't heard any of them
- 38:40actually being official. So I'm wondering if all of these
- 38:42are verbal contracts which any of these riders could break.
- 38:47I'm not an insider so I have no idea but and if I mean it would
- 38:53be possible would be my guess to break the verbal contract with
- 38:56Pecco and sign Horne. I just don't think it's going to
- 38:58happen if it is for you know, if that situation is available, it
- 39:03won't happen. Right, because he's going to
- 39:05Yamahata. I mean, who knows what that
- 39:07Yamaha is going to be like? But it, it, it's, it's, it's not
- 39:15a good look, you know, real I, and I'll say this about, well, I
- 39:18guess we can all kind of touch on the rumors that we hear until
- 39:21Moto GP says it or till one of these writers say it.
- 39:25I, I, I, I just assume it's just people just waking up and
- 39:29saying, what can I put out to the masses today?
- 39:31And let's see what happened. But I see you, I see you.
- 39:34Turn your head there, Lewis, so you might know something booby,
- 39:37but what are your thoughts Jordan on the we'll get to you,
- 39:41man. What are your thoughts Jordan on
- 39:42on the contract situations that you've heard?
- 39:44And then we're going to move on to world.
- 39:45Well, we'll talk about the crash in Moto 2 because that was crazy
- 39:49or crashes. What are your thoughts on the
- 39:51contract rumors? Yeah, so silly season was pretty
- 39:55crazy. And like Tyson was saying, it
- 39:58seems like there have been a lot of, you know, verbal contracts,
- 40:02back end deals that aren't official yet.
- 40:05But I think it's all everything knows.
- 40:07I I believe Pedro Acosta, I believe he's going straight to a
- 40:11factory Ducati to be a side Mark Marquez.
- 40:14I believe Martine will be on the factory Yamaha and I believe I
- 40:22am happy that I got Jack Biller's autograph and I got a
- 40:27nice little also top rack as well.
- 40:30What's up? What's?
- 40:31Up but I do believe it is Jack's last year, probably a Moto GP,
- 40:35sadly. He's a he's an amazing talent.
- 40:38But I think top rack coming in and how the Yamaha is
- 40:42performing, they were able to say yeah, we'll bring him in
- 40:45with his V4 knowledge. I just don't see him continuing
- 40:49next year. I think they're going to go
- 40:51after a young cat and beyond then, yeah, silly season is just
- 40:58continuing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:59Man, it's, it's been tough, man, it's, it's been tough.
- 41:02I'm a huge Jack Miller fan. I hope you can get one more
- 41:06year. But you're right.
- 41:08These young guys in Moto 2 right now, it's it's it's making it
- 41:11real hard to not give the give them a chance in Moto GP.
- 41:15Lewis, man, you're shaking your head.
- 41:17Sounds like you know something. What, what, what?
- 41:20What don't we know? First of all, verbal contracts,
- 41:24the motorcycle racing are as strong as wet toilet paper, so
- 41:29anything that is verbally said is is is pretty much useless.
- 41:34When people start to really buzz rumors that contracts are
- 41:38signed, it's because contracts are signed.
- 41:42I will say that next year you're going to see a minimum, minimum
- 41:46of three new rookies in Moto GP, which means 33 asses have to
- 41:52leave. And the three asses that are
- 41:55most likely to leave, The first one is probably going to be Jack
- 42:00Miller. The second one is more than
- 42:04likely going to be Bender. And then that third ass still
- 42:08yet to be filled. But there's definitely a lot of
- 42:11people's looking for that position, which is probably
- 42:13going to be Morbidelli, possibly Rinse so.
- 42:18Yeah, Morbidelli. So because, I mean, you know,
- 42:22he's he's and, and to his own doing.
- 42:24I mean, this is one of the few people you can, you know, you
- 42:26can blame it on the bike with some of these other guys or, or,
- 42:29you know, maybe Ducati should have kept Miller another year on
- 42:32the factory seat or Petrucci another year on the factory seat
- 42:35kind of deal because these guys were producing when they were on
- 42:37the factory seats. But more Bodelli's just doing it
- 42:41to himself. Yep, yeah.
- 42:43So next year you'll at minimum you'll see three, but there is a
- 42:46possibility you'll see 4 rookies coming into Moto GP next year.
- 42:52Jaldago and a couple other ones are already lining themselves up
- 42:56and Yamaha has. Yamaha has to look for rookies
- 42:59because there's no veteran that wants to ride that shit box
- 43:03unless they're either getting paid a lot or you know, at the
- 43:06end of their career where they're willing to throw it away
- 43:08on a Yamaha at this point. Yeah, yeah, it it is.
- 43:13Yeah, I I agree with the contract thing versus the verbal
- 43:17because if you know Martine, we've seen been able to weasel,
- 43:22not weasel get out of out of KTM, get out of could he walked
- 43:26away from Aprilia if he wanted to.
- 43:27And and and it's all in the in the in the contract because if
- 43:31not he, he will be talking a different tune.
- 43:35We saw the crashes. Go ahead.
- 43:37And a pre, I honestly, if Martine had not gotten hurt, I
- 43:41don't know if a preview would be where they are today because
- 43:44there's one thing that's been said throughout the paddock is
- 43:47Martine cannot help you set a bike up at all.
- 43:50Yeah, yeah. Martine needs you to give him a
- 43:53bike. He can ride, he can give you
- 43:55feedback, but he can't tell you how to set up a bike.
- 43:57Whereas Bizecki is very good at setting up a bike and him and
- 44:00the other rookies that were racing last year on the bike
- 44:04developed the bike when the previous started the season last
- 44:06year they were the 3rd or 4th best bike on the grid and within
- 44:113-4 months they were starting to get back up towards the front
- 44:14and by the middle of the year they looked like they were on.
- 44:16You know, it was a whole new bike that was much better than
- 44:18what was left from the previous riders that were on the bike.
- 44:23So it might, it might have actually helped the premia that
- 44:26Martine wasn't on the bike. I I agree, I mean, it helped.
- 44:29It definitely helped Bez, right. It definitely helped Bez a lot.
- 44:33I mean, you know, you know, it's like it's like I, you know, I'm
- 44:37a praise to his fan, but it's like Brady and Drew Bledsoe,
- 44:39right? You know, Bez was ready, you
- 44:41know what I'm saying? And and and Martine got hurt and
- 44:44he lost his number one spot, you know, and and you know, like his
- 44:48mouth didn't help. I mean, I think if he would have
- 44:50kept his mouth shut, he he probably could have had a Max
- 44:54Biaggi kind of Prillia life after racing.
- 44:58You know what I'm saying? Because Biaggi is everywhere and
- 45:01he just, he's just smiling and and keeping his goatee and
- 45:04getting him checks. Hey, guy's a creeper.
- 45:09Such a weirdo. You know, wouldn't be the first
- 45:16one in Moto GP, no? No, there's a catch me.
- 45:18There's a ton of them. So, but let's talk about the
- 45:23crashes in Moto 2. I mean, there's crashes in the
- 45:26the whole weekend, but we're seeing a lot of exciting riding.
- 45:30I mean, you know, you're looking at the Top 14 guys, I think was
- 45:33separated by like 1/2 a second between a half a second from
- 45:36first place to like 8. I think 14th or 15th or
- 45:39something like that. It's it's pretty wild to see,
- 45:42you know, we saw a couple of crashes early in the race and
- 45:44then we still don't know what happened.
- 45:46I forget which rider it is. That essentially was a bowling
- 45:49ball and, and took out a bunch of riders.
- 45:52I mean I I. Want to say it was?
- 45:53Was it Heldago? I I don't know if it was him or
- 45:57or the other, the Moto GP, not Moto GP, American Racing.
- 46:02I know they were involved, not Joe Roberts that, but the other
- 46:06the somebody. Said Joe Roberts had also.
- 46:10Yeah, yeah, yeah. He was taking out first and
- 46:12then. He.
- 46:14Was it was was part of that, But I mean, it's I we don't, I mean,
- 46:19I have Moto GP hasn't said, but I hope it was brake failure or
- 46:24something or mechanical and not just ride the error because it
- 46:28didn't look like he hit the brakes at all.
- 46:30What are your what are your thoughts?
- 46:31We'll we'll go with Tyson and Jordan.
- 46:34I don't remember if I managed to see that.
- 46:36Was it going into like turn one or something like that and he
- 46:39was just like breaking or didn't, as you said, didn't
- 46:41break and just like slammed into somebody?
- 46:43I don't know if it was turn one or I got to look which turn it
- 46:46was. I don't know off the top of my
- 46:48head. It was the back straight going
- 46:50on the back straight turn. Got you.
- 46:52I feel like I saw a clip on Reddit, but I didn't watch the
- 46:55Moto 2 race. But yeah, those can definitely
- 46:57be scary. But yeah, to to your point, I
- 47:01hope it was mechanical and not just someone's stupid mistake
- 47:04because that's that's kind of a boneheaded move to make.
- 47:08Yeah, yeah. No, no doubt.
- 47:11And you know, and and a lot of a lot of riders lost some points
- 47:14in that process as well. You were there, Jordan.
- 47:18What are your thoughts on the situation?
- 47:20Being there on the ground, seeing it on the, the big, big
- 47:23screen. And then also I went right to
- 47:25the phone and then I I was able to back it up and then watch and
- 47:29see when you break it down and you watch it does initially you
- 47:36think, Oh no, it has to be mechanical because the rate of
- 47:40speed that he closed was outstanding.
- 47:42Yeah, and just negligent. But when you look and break down
- 47:47the video, he gets on the brakes absolutely late and you see his
- 47:53rear tire does come up off the ground.
- 47:56So he was on those brakes. I think he just got an absolute
- 48:00multi rider slipstream, absolutely blew his brain and
- 48:05misses breaking marker by an absolute mile and absolutely
- 48:10took some riders out and there has there.
- 48:12I think there has to be massive repercussions Maybe if they look
- 48:16at his license or something or other because from my
- 48:19perspective and looking at it maybe if they pull the data it.
- 48:23I could be wrong, but I think he was just a purely out of control
- 48:27rider that overcooked his breaking mark, got caught in a
- 48:29slipstream and now multiple riders are pretty pretty hurt
- 48:35pretty well because of that. But you know, we, we did see
- 48:38that with Bazecki and and Bialis at Phillip Island, right?
- 48:45You know, on the on the straight when that slipstream sucked up
- 48:48Bazecki in and they both went into the gravel.
- 48:52So, you know, hopefully if they can scientifically prove that it
- 48:57was, you know, out of his control based on the situation,
- 49:01at least there's something there.
- 49:03Lewis, man, you're, you're the numbers guy.
- 49:05Does it, does it really matter or, you know, something like
- 49:07that? You know, these riders should
- 49:09know better at this point because we've been talking about
- 49:11it for a couple of years. It's hard to say they'll know
- 49:14better because this is one of those tracks, this is one of the
- 49:17bigger tracks on the circuit that has these big straightaway
- 49:19this Austria. And any of these tracks that
- 49:22have these long straightaways will get a guy that's in fifth
- 49:26position and give them that fifth position draft.
- 49:29And he'll go into the break marker, He'll watch everybody
- 49:32else breaking. He'll look for his break mark.
- 49:34He'll hit the break and realize I'm going 18, then I should be
- 49:41and not even realize it. And this is, you know,
- 49:43unfortunately this is a little bit of a racing incident.
- 49:46I don't think he did it on purpose.
- 49:48I think again, he got sucked into the draft, hit his break
- 49:53marker where he normally hits his break market realizes he's
- 49:56carrying a lot more speed. So maybe even went a little
- 49:58harder on the binders trying to scrub some speed off as much as
- 50:01possible. And it's it was so early in the
- 50:04race. I mean, it was first lap that
- 50:07you know, we have a lot of people it.
- 50:09Was either first or third, but it was pretty early on.
- 50:12Yeah, but you have all these people going into the same
- 50:15corner trying to fight for the same real estate.
- 50:17He's got an extra 10 to 15 miles an hour with him.
- 50:21You know what we're hearing are the other choices, either going
- 50:24to the corner, low side, take out a bunch of guys or
- 50:27completely T boned one or two guys.
- 50:30You know, at that speed you don't really have a lot of time
- 50:33to think about what are my options.
- 50:35No, Yeah, yeah, yeah, No, I mean, and it's not bike.
- 50:39It's not like Veniala's when you could jump off the bike when he
- 50:42lost brakes. Yeah, this is, I mean, this is a
- 50:46situation that is, you know, I'm sure he'll probably get a great
- 50:50penalty. He'll probably get a little bit
- 50:51of a talking to. If they want to put a mark on
- 50:54his license, they could probably put a mark on his license.
- 50:56Again, I don't think it was intentional.
- 50:58I don't think it was deliberate. It was just one of those
- 51:01situations where a young kid goes into a corner not realizing
- 51:06the extra speed he's carrying because of the draft.
- 51:08And that's where, you know, it's a, it's a learning opportunity
- 51:12for everybody, But it sucks. But I will say there were a lot
- 51:14of crashes this weekend. And some of the crashes were the
- 51:17writer's fault. And some of the crashes were
- 51:19actually the track's fault. You know, everybody that was on
- 51:21the grid was saying that the track is back to being as bumpy
- 51:25as it ever has been. There's bumps in areas that they
- 51:28never had to deal with before, so now they have to adjust their
- 51:31lines. And in some places, you're in
- 51:33the braking zone. You're braking, you're thinking
- 51:36you're going to stop. All of a sudden your front tire
- 51:38hits a bump, it kicks your rear tire out, and now you're out of
- 51:41control. Even though you were in perfect
- 51:42control until you got to the braking zone on the binders and
- 51:46hit that bump, and now it looks like you're an asshole.
- 51:49But you're not an asshole. The track's an asshole.
- 51:51It makes you look like an asshole because you just took
- 51:53somebody out. Right.
- 51:55And and that's argument Marquez is using for his crash.
- 51:57I hit a bump and and I went down so and and you know, you know,
- 52:03I'm you know, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll take him for his word
- 52:06that you know, he had a bump and went down because as.
- 52:08We had one of our guys, we had one of our guys go out on Monday
- 52:12with the Aprilia Day and actually ride the track for the
- 52:15first time. And he's a, he's a very good
- 52:17rider. And when he came back in after,
- 52:19you know, the few laps he had there, it's like he's like, oh,
- 52:21it's a great track. It's beautiful, It's big.
- 52:23He's like, now I understand what all these riders are talking
- 52:26about with all these bumps. He's like, this is a really
- 52:28bumpy track. OK, OK.
- 52:31I like the bumpy tracks man. I mean, you're, you're from the
- 52:36Northeast. We don't have any choice.
- 52:38All our tracks are bumpy. They're down here too.
- 52:43They're down here, too. Potholes up here.
- 52:48You know, you just, it makes you stronger, gives you character.
- 52:52Let's talk about World Super Bike.
- 52:54You know, I guess let's talk about this because I mean, is it
- 52:58too much to have Moto GP and World Super Bike on the same
- 53:01day? I have to say, like being in the
- 53:04country where where motor GPS happen and it kind of messes up
- 53:08my day because when it's in other countries, I can catch it
- 53:11at 3:00 in the morning, 6:00 in the morning, you know, by 8:00
- 53:15AM I can still have my day because I watched all the races.
- 53:18So I'm like 3 o'clock 3:00 PM. That's kind of late.
- 53:22What are your thoughts on having, you know, the, the Moto
- 53:24GP and World Super bike on on the same weekend?
- 53:28I mean, there's one company that owns both.
- 53:29I mean, they, there's, there's 52 weekends, you know.
- 53:32What are your thoughts, Tyson? Does Liberty own both of them
- 53:35now? Well, one owns both of them, so
- 53:38yeah, yeah. But is Liberty's only taking
- 53:41Moto GP though, aren't they? No, they, I think they took the
- 53:44whole, the whole thing 80%. They did OK, Yeah, yeah, I could
- 53:49see that. But it seems like they've
- 53:50they've pretty well established their Moto 3, Moto 2, Moto GP
- 53:54sort of schedule for a weekend. So I feel like if they were
- 53:57going to do it, they're probably going to try to separate out
- 54:00World Super Bike into its own weekend and try not to conflict
- 54:03with them. But I mean, for me personally, I
- 54:07mean like that's a lot of racing in a weekend.
- 54:08Like, I still have other stuff I have to get done, you know?
- 54:11So like, I can't spend, you know, every other weekend just
- 54:14watching racing all weekend long, you know?
- 54:17I have three screens man, catching everything well.
- 54:23I'm bootlegging it from Austria, so.
- 54:27I hear that. I hear that.
- 54:29What are your thoughts, Jordan, man?
- 54:31I mean, you're you're in person. So I don't know how much of
- 54:33world super bike you're you were watching maybe at the hotel when
- 54:36you got back. Yeah, so.
- 54:38Usually I have the Moto GP app and then I have the World Super
- 54:42Bike app, but I will admit I've seen zero the World Super Bike
- 54:45coverage when I was out because when I wasn't at the track I was
- 54:49my first time in Austin, TX so I was probably drunk for about 6-8
- 54:55days so. Man, downtown Austin is nice.
- 55:00Yes, Sir, it was not too bad, Not too bad.
- 55:02Hi, that's what's up, Lewis man. And the same vote you were
- 55:05there. So I don't know how much world
- 55:07super bike you were watching. Also from a numbers perspective,
- 55:11does it make sense or it doesn't matter because it's two
- 55:13different countries And you know, it's not like it's the
- 55:16World Cup where half of Portugal is going to come to the states
- 55:19to watch kind of thing. And also impressive that the
- 55:25crowd in port in Porto Mayo. So it the largest crowd since
- 55:292015. I mean, it's you have Miguel
- 55:33Oliveira in as part of the riders there.
- 55:36So he's definitely going to bring the hometown crowd out.
- 55:39And you know, everybody wants to cheer for somebody.
- 55:45Believe it or not, he has a pretty big following in
- 55:47Portugal. You know, I mean, even when he
- 55:50was in Moto GP when they went to Portugal, like he had a big
- 55:54section of fans that were out there rooting on, you know, you
- 55:57always want to root for your hometown boy.
- 55:59I mean we we would root for one if we had one.
- 56:06Who just root? Just say USAUS.
- 56:10A yeah, we do the fly over where we do the banner, but we're not
- 56:12going to hear the the Star Spangled Banner on the podium
- 56:16ceremony, right, Right. So, but I think as a company
- 56:23it's it's, it's very odd to put your product on against your own
- 56:27products because you're putting that motorcycle racing against
- 56:31motorcycle racing in the same weekend.
- 56:33And it's not like World Super Bike has 20 rounds like Moto GP
- 56:37does. So it would be very easy for
- 56:40them to find rounds and find tracks in between rounds.
- 56:44So now you can constantly keep. So if you think about it, you
- 56:46got 20 weekends, you do have the summer break, that's about a
- 56:49month. You have the summer break for
- 56:50both championships. If you schedule it right, you
- 56:54could almost have a race every other weekend from March until
- 57:01September, October if you schedule it correctly.
- 57:04And I don't understand why they do this, why Dorna overlaps some
- 57:08weekends where Moto GP and World Super Bike are both racing
- 57:12because all it's going to do is it's going to take crowds away
- 57:14from World Super Bike. Moto GP has a much bigger
- 57:17following and you're trying to kind of build World Super Bike
- 57:21back up because it's lost a lot of it's following around the
- 57:24world because they don't travel to as many places as they used
- 57:26to. They have less rounds.
- 57:28So why are you going to hurt your own products?
- 57:30You know you're going to take the, you know you're going to
- 57:32devalue your own products. So I, I think it's, I think it's
- 57:36something that Liberty Media and Dorna need to address is to make
- 57:38sure that they don't have races on the same weekend conflicting
- 57:42with each other. Because it doesn't help either
- 57:45one. It doesn't help Moto GP and it
- 57:46doesn't help World Super Bike. It definitely doesn't help World
- 57:49Super bike and I don't really need to watch World Super Bike
- 57:51this year anyway. It's Vuliga and whoever's coming
- 57:54in second and third stop. It stop it, it's not going to be
- 57:56that. It's not going to be that
- 58:00because he's going to have to give up the podium a couple of
- 58:02times because if not, they'll find it penalizing him.
- 58:05So if he's a numbers guy like me, I'd win the first four races
- 58:09and then the fifth race I'd probably come in 3rd.
- 58:11So that way it doesn't look like I'm dominating and then I kick
- 58:14ass the next three races. Then I'd probably come in 3rd
- 58:16and then, you know, rinse and repeat so I don't get penalized
- 58:20or get my RPMS dropped or add weight to my bike or something
- 58:23like that. Not that I would cheat because I
- 58:27know the rule book, but you know.
- 58:29That's not that's not happening. So I mean we Formula One in that
- 58:33in that as well because they they they are having all three.
- 58:36What are you guys thoughts on that?
- 58:38Then also what Lewis is saying with it with Bulaga show?
- 58:43I don't believe so. This is the second race for Ika
- 58:47and he's he's he's like I'm I'm tense, I'm tense. 2/10 behind
- 58:51this dude. So Ika's sitting here saying,
- 58:53bro, you got four more races, four more rounds and then and
- 58:57then we going we going to be neck and neck.
- 58:58I see it. You guys think that it doesn't
- 59:01matter with with World Super Bike and and I know what you're
- 59:05going to say with Oliveira, I am surprised, but it's good to have
- 59:09BMW on the podium and it's not top rock.
- 59:13So that's a good luck. Hopefully Oliveira will use that
- 59:16and he is hungry. Do you guys think that, you
- 59:18know, it's a Bulgar show and we shouldn't be watching World
- 59:22Super Bite? Just just, you know, just bet on
- 59:24Bulgar every time or Ducati because but I think I think
- 59:29Ika's going to do something. What are your thoughts, Tyson?
- 59:33I definitely think it is a Bullocka show, but I wouldn't
- 59:36say that's the reason why we should stop watching.
- 59:38To be fair, it's the reason why I didn't watch this weekend.
- 59:41I watched Moto GP and I knew Bullocka was already going to
- 59:44win. So I was like, all right, you
- 59:45know, made choices, but I definitely think it's it's going
- 59:49to be his championship to wrap up.
- 59:51I mean, they they definitely seem to have the most dominant
- 59:54production motorcycle right now. I mean, the S 1000 is really
- 59:58good, but it clearly looks like unless your name is top rack and
- 1:00:02you have a Turkish passport, you can't put it on, you know, front
- 1:00:07spot on the grid. Well, not on the grid, but, you
- 1:00:09know, in a race. And all the Ducatis that look
- 1:00:12good. It's not just the factory team.
- 1:00:15Sam Lowe's is looking good. What's his name?
- 1:00:21Montella is looking good. Baltazar is looking good.
- 1:00:26And I forget the other guy on On the Barn.
- 1:00:28Oh, I forget the other. Oh, Batista.
- 1:00:32How can I forget Batista? Yeah, I'm surprised he's still
- 1:00:35there. I I figured they would have
- 1:00:36dumped him by now. They've been talking about it
- 1:00:38for she's just four or five years.
- 1:00:39But yeah, I mean they just the fee 4R has been what the best
- 1:00:43production bike in the world for the last four or five years.
- 1:00:45Right. And at 26 very thing is a notch
- 1:00:50better. The double sided swing arm is a
- 1:00:52difference and I know there's a lot of the whatever cost these
- 1:00:57or whatever they call that only wants a single sided swing arm.
- 1:01:01I have two to God. He's one is single sided and
- 1:01:03double sided. So I I like them both and I can
- 1:01:06I can only look at one side of the bike at once.
- 1:01:08So I really can't. If I have a favorite side, I'm
- 1:01:12just going to keep looking at that side like Seinfeld.
- 1:01:15What are your thoughts? Jordan World Super Bike.
- 1:01:19Oh well the VI. I agree about the the V4.
- 1:01:23The new iteration is definitely faster but I will say it's
- 1:01:27definitely not as good looking as its as its predecessor.
- 1:01:32I think that single sided swing arm, the V4R the year before
- 1:01:36that thing just looks fast, even though the double sided swing
- 1:01:40arm in that new gearbox that they have is an absolute weapon
- 1:01:45on the track. I'll give it to him, but go on
- 1:01:47the world super bike. I believe it is a Boliga show.
- 1:01:51I believe he's going to take it. I believe there are other
- 1:01:54Ducatis that'll, you know, come into their own towards the
- 1:01:57middle end and start giving him a really good fight.
- 1:02:01But I believe without top rack there dad, I think Boliga is
- 1:02:04going to wrap it up pretty well. All right, all right, I'm, I'm
- 1:02:08rooting for Bulliga. Don't get me wrong.
- 1:02:09I I'm I'm a fan of what happened.
- 1:02:11I'm I'm not a fan of what happened to him in Moto two.
- 1:02:13I'm not a fan of of I mean, I know, I think he had some issues
- 1:02:16with VR46 because he was in the Academy and left and all that
- 1:02:19stuff. And you know the IT didn't it
- 1:02:22didn't happen like with Remy, how Remy got out of Moto GP and
- 1:02:25stuff like that. But for him to go into super
- 1:02:28sport, I mean, granted, he got a factory seat, so it's not a bad
- 1:02:31place to land, but to do what he did in super sport and get this
- 1:02:34bump and having this, you know, this pivot in motorcycle racing.
- 1:02:39And I'm I'm a fan, but you know, I think as races and and I think
- 1:02:44we're all races, you know, all of us at some level, even though
- 1:02:48we see the competition is a little bit part says I'm coming
- 1:02:50for you. There's there's a little bit
- 1:02:52every day I'm coming for you. And and these guys are not going
- 1:02:55to just sit there and let him take it.
- 1:02:56So, you know, that's what motorcycle racing is.
- 1:02:59And and and and that's the what's good fun to look at.
- 1:03:02And we'll see if Bulliger is going to be like, I'm like Mike,
- 1:03:05we'll see. But let's let me ask this guys
- 1:03:09in the Super. Well, it's two things I want to
- 1:03:11ask before we get out of here, which order because they both
- 1:03:17knew ZX Moto is new in super in super sport class and won two
- 1:03:24races. Super bike sport bike has been
- 1:03:28replaced with a 300 super sport class and it's new for world
- 1:03:31super bike. So you know either 1 you guys
- 1:03:34can talk about both or either one.
- 1:03:36It's a Chinese manufacturer ZX Moto.
- 1:03:38I didn't expect them to to. I was like what what but who's
- 1:03:41ZX Moto? How did it like?
- 1:03:44How did this happen Where's the V twos?
- 1:03:45Where's the R nines ZX Moto? Should I stop buying Chinese
- 1:03:52stock, Louis? I mean, what are your thoughts
- 1:03:54with Google Tyson? You know, Yeah, I don't know if
- 1:03:57you got a chance to check out the the, the Super sport or, or
- 1:04:00know about the Super bike class because it's like essentially
- 1:04:02it's like the twin class in motor America.
- 1:04:05Yeah. I didn't hear about this at all
- 1:04:07and I didn't hear that those Chinese manufacturer getting
- 1:04:10into it either. But see how other industries are
- 1:04:13going, that may be terrifying, but we'll see.
- 1:04:16Only time will tell. But it's always good to have
- 1:04:19more manufacturers. I think in the sport it'll it'll
- 1:04:21hopefully give some competition and some inspiration to these
- 1:04:24other very famous legendary manufacturers to invest some
- 1:04:28more time, money and effort into their own programs.
- 1:04:32That's what I really hope, this kind of spurs.
- 1:04:34Nice, nice I I agree with that and and I think it's nice to see
- 1:04:38also, you know, faster bike than a 300 super sport bikes.
- 1:04:42What are your thoughts? Jordan ZX Moto and then they
- 1:04:46won, they won 2 super sport race with the the breeze, the boys,
- 1:04:50the you know and you know he's no slouch and you know other
- 1:04:55riders around him weren't either.
- 1:04:56But what are your thoughts man? Yeah, I haven't seen that actual
- 1:04:59series too much. I did see a couple of drawings
- 1:05:03and specs of the bikes. The bikes actually look pretty
- 1:05:06decent for what I could see. And actually the price point is
- 1:05:11what I saw online. It was floating around.
- 1:05:13I I think they're for what you're getting, it looks like a
- 1:05:16pretty damn good deal, but you never really kind of know what
- 1:05:19you're getting with with AT move version kind of a bike.
- 1:05:23But then again, it could be a quality product.
- 1:05:25I just couldn't tell you. I wouldn't.
- 1:05:28I wouldn't know if I'd necessarily buy one and trust it
- 1:05:31at the at speed, you know, but that might be somebody else.
- 1:05:36You know, it's, it's interesting.
- 1:05:37I think you got it was a Kobe you got What's the other one?
- 1:05:41There's another brand I can't think of off the top of my head.
- 1:05:44It'll come to me. But there are a bunch of Chinese
- 1:05:47bikes now that, you know, are looking a lot better than like
- 1:05:50the thumpers and some of these dirt bikes that we saw some
- 1:05:54years back. Lewis Mann.
- 1:05:56I mean, is this good business good for Moto G Moto 2?
- 1:06:00I mean, good for we're super sport class and then also, you
- 1:06:03know, getting rid of the 300CC bikes for, you know, Rs six 60s
- 1:06:07and R sevens, you know, is, is that a good look for for world
- 1:06:13super bike? And sure, you know Motor America
- 1:06:16get some royalties for introducing that class.
- 1:06:20I think it's a good look because I think the 300 and the 400
- 1:06:23class, I mean that's a, we have some really low CC class.
- 1:06:27I think the R660, like the Twins Cup type of racing that we do
- 1:06:31here. It really does help introduce
- 1:06:33younger riders to get them ready for that next step to super
- 1:06:36sport and then to get them to that next step to super bike.
- 1:06:40You know, you can only ride a 300 or 400 for so long before
- 1:06:44you need to get to a bike that has a little bit more power.
- 1:06:46So I think doing it the way that Mortar America does with the
- 1:06:49twins Class one, it shows off the talent of these young kids
- 1:06:52as long as they keep the age range of the people that can
- 1:06:55compete there on the lower end of the spectrum.
- 1:06:58Like, I don't want to see a 28 year old super, you know, Twins
- 1:07:02Cup rider winning the championship.
- 1:07:04Like that's, you know, that's like going into a grammar school
- 1:07:07and picking a fight with the biggest kid in in fifth grade.
- 1:07:10And after you beat him, be like, yeah, bro, the champ.
- 1:07:15Yeah, I'm the champ. You know, as far as the Chinese
- 1:07:20manufacturers there, you know, there's always been this
- 1:07:22misconception that Chinese companies make cheap products.
- 1:07:26Don't get me wrong, they do make some cheap products.
- 1:07:29I mean, we always joke about, you know, if you want to get
- 1:07:32some cheap metal, you just buy Chineseium.
- 1:07:35It's the cheapest metal you can buy.
- 1:07:37But there's a lot of really good manufacturing in China.
- 1:07:41If you look at all the products that we as Americans buy or even
- 1:07:45the globe buys that come from China, they make a lot of
- 1:07:48quality products. I mean, the phone in your pocket
- 1:07:51right now, your iPhone, it comes from China.
- 1:07:54You know, the parts are manufactured in China.
- 1:07:57Everything comes from China. If they want to build something,
- 1:08:00they have the technical know how, they have the expertise,
- 1:08:03they have the workforce, they have the factories where they
- 1:08:06can fabricate these things and they can build.
- 1:08:09And I'm looking at the Chinese manufacturers now the same way
- 1:08:14that I, damn, I'm old, but the same way I looked at the
- 1:08:18Japanese manufacturers in the early 80s.
- 1:08:22It's like, you know, everybody didn't want to buy Japanese
- 1:08:24products because they're the Japanese.
- 1:08:26You know, what's this product? Honda?
- 1:08:28What's this? A Toyota?
- 1:08:29It looks like a piece of shit. Turns out they made the greatest
- 1:08:33part ever. They made an engine that was
- 1:08:34indestructible. People to this day, you know,
- 1:08:37they want Toyota trucks, the Tundra and all these trucks,
- 1:08:40their their desired truck, the Tacoma.
- 1:08:43They have one version of Tacoma, everybody that thing because
- 1:08:45it's indestructible and China is, is knocking on that
- 1:08:49doorstep, not just with motorcycles, but with cars and
- 1:08:52other things. And yes, they're, you know, some
- 1:08:55of them do look like they went to a motorcycle shop and they
- 1:08:59stole this part from a Ducati and this part from a Yamaha,
- 1:09:03this part from a Honda, and they put together a Frankenbike.
- 1:09:07But guess what? That's what all the
- 1:09:08manufacturers do. At some point they steal from
- 1:09:10each other and if they're going to bring bikes to the market
- 1:09:13that are quality bikes at a price point that's 30% lower
- 1:09:17than what the Japanese are doing right now.
- 1:09:19I mean shit, look at Suzuki. I always like to knock on them
- 1:09:23because I own them. So I I got the right to knock on
- 1:09:25them. They're still selling the same
- 1:09:27piece of shit GSXR 600 and 750 and 1000.
- 1:09:30They've been making for like 25 years now and the price is not
- 1:09:33going down. If this company comes out with
- 1:09:37ACF Moto ZXT PR750 that's got better technology, ride by wire
- 1:09:44throttle, better suspension, better brakes than a Suzuki at
- 1:09:48like $4000 less than a Suzuki, guess what man, I'm going to
- 1:09:52give that bike a shot. Right, right.
- 1:09:54Well, yeah, we see the brand I couldn't think of was Ibex as
- 1:09:57well as another one. They're, they're taking over the
- 1:10:00adventure to do Sport World, which is pretty wild to see.
- 1:10:05And you got options and options that are below.
- 1:10:07I mean you know, prices are being jacked up and they were
- 1:10:09blame it on EUR 5, EUR 5, EUR 5. It's like that, That 5 grand is
- 1:10:14EUR 5, so. We, I had a discussion with this
- 1:10:20yesterday with Adam Wahid. And, you know, Adam Wahid is,
- 1:10:24he's a journalist, Yeah. And he kind of came up to me
- 1:10:27because he was working with Yamaha, doing tours, doing demo
- 1:10:30rides all weekend. And he, you know, he kind of
- 1:10:33asked me, what do you think about when manufacturers do
- 1:10:35these demo rides? And I said it's great if they're
- 1:10:38listening to the public, if they're just coming out here
- 1:10:41with the same pieces of shit that they've been selling for
- 1:10:43years with bold new graphics. They're not doing anything for
- 1:10:47the customer. They're not listening to the
- 1:10:49customer. The customers want reliability,
- 1:10:52they want quality. They don't need all these bells
- 1:10:54and whistles and they need a bike they can buy from for under
- 1:10:58a certain price. I don't want to buy a 20,000
- 1:11:00dollars 600. That's that's insane man 600
- 1:11:05should not be 20 grand. Right, right.
- 1:11:07I agree. I agree.
- 1:11:08And listen, let me start on a used bike.
- 1:11:10I mean, I, I, I see 2008 bikes that are over 10 grand.
- 1:11:15I'm like, what's going on here? What I miss?
- 1:11:17Damn man. It's like there's a 2020 I got.
- 1:11:20Same price I have. I have bikes that cost more now
- 1:11:24than I bought used, that are used that cost more, that I
- 1:11:28could sell for more now than I bought them for seven years ago,
- 1:11:31eight years ago. Yeah, it's, you know, I think
- 1:11:34there's a little bit of propping up that's happening with prices
- 1:11:38where, you know, people are just saying got 75,000 on this bike,
- 1:11:416 grand. It's like no man, that's that's
- 1:11:43like $1000 if that. Come on, let's split.
- 1:11:47You've got your money out of that bike if your bike got
- 1:11:5075,000 miles on a high 1000 miles on it.
- 1:11:53Just. Pass it on and say hey kid have
- 1:11:56fun with it. I got I got memories don't have
- 1:11:59for 8 grand. Motor America starts in a couple
- 1:12:05of week. Guys before we get out of here,
- 1:12:08what are you looking to see? What are you looking at?
- 1:12:11Do you guys pay attention to Motor America?
- 1:12:14You know, we start with Tyson, man, you know.
- 1:12:16What are your thoughts? I casually fall on middle
- 1:12:19America. David.
- 1:12:21Was it last year or is it this year that they've been putting
- 1:12:23all their races on YouTube though?
- 1:12:25Might have. Been, but this year they
- 1:12:27actually have a broadcast deal. So they're actually going to be
- 1:12:30on on a broadcast now they're going to be on.
- 1:12:36What is it they just released? I think is it Paramount Plus
- 1:12:41that they're going to be on? Oh, OK, that's what's up.
- 1:12:44Interesting. Yeah, check, check on their
- 1:12:46website because they just announced a deal like AI want to
- 1:12:49say like 10 days ago that they they're going to be broadcast,
- 1:12:54obviously delayed broadcast, but they're going to be broadcast I
- 1:12:57think on Paramount Plus. Got you.
- 1:12:59So they still do the American lot, American mode America live
- 1:13:03and they that's that's what's up.
- 1:13:05That makes sense. So OK, so Tyson, yeah.
- 1:13:09So you're you're you're looking to see a little bit or?
- 1:13:12Yeah, I was looking forward to catch up a bit of it.
- 1:13:14I liked when I was on YouTube, but now I'm going to have to get
- 1:13:16Sheisty and find out ways to get free Paramount.
- 1:13:21She used to give them money. There's nothing on that service.
- 1:13:26I. I I'm excited, I like racing in
- 1:13:27the USI would love to see to get like Moto America get real big
- 1:13:31again. Like, I remember hearing heyday
- 1:13:32stories of AMA and it's just, it's sad to see how far it's
- 1:13:37gone. I was like, I wish I showed up
- 1:13:40to Loudon when there was, you know, a shit load of people here
- 1:13:42and there's an AMA race. Yeah, you know, I mean, I know
- 1:13:45they'll never go back. Like that's that's a foregone
- 1:13:47conclusion, but. We're working on it, man.
- 1:13:50We're working on it. There's no way Moto America goes
- 1:13:53to Loudon. Well, I mean, look, they got
- 1:13:55they, they got the class and we're getting some Moto America
- 1:13:59riders to come and race up there now for that purse.
- 1:14:01So you know it, you know, up up until a couple of years ago, you
- 1:14:06might have said that, but now someone's showing up.
- 1:14:08So it may not be the whole squad, but you never know.
- 1:14:12You know, Once Upon a time, you know, I remember seeing the the
- 1:14:16backers testing Blackhawk and I'm just kind of like, that
- 1:14:21ain't going to work. Look at it.
- 1:14:23Now you know what I'm saying. That MAGA series is pretty cool
- 1:14:27though. They they those bikes?
- 1:14:28Are pretty wild. Right, they just had their first
- 1:14:30Moto GP round right and they got five more and you know, you got
- 1:14:35some you got some European riders, but you got some
- 1:14:37American riders, which is pretty cool.
- 1:14:39What are your thoughts, Jordan man on on you know, Moto
- 1:14:41America. I mean, I know you watch the
- 1:14:43World Super bike and and and Moto GP so.
- 1:14:46Yeah, so I'm a I'm a Josh Herring fan, but I hear he's not
- 1:14:51even. He like won the championship and
- 1:14:53he's not even on like a regular team this year.
- 1:14:57He's going over to, I believe, a what the.
- 1:14:59Electric. I think hooligans are electric
- 1:15:01or something like that. Yeah, which is, I don't know,
- 1:15:04the thing. I know he has a family now and
- 1:15:06all that good stuff, but other than that, I follow SIBO,
- 1:15:11Cameron, Bo BA. I think he's a bad ass.
- 1:15:13I think he should have stayed in Moto 2.
- 1:15:15I think he was our best shot. I think it was a best shot.
- 1:15:18But you know him, newly married and then wanted to start a
- 1:15:21family. Being in Europe, probably, you
- 1:15:24know that. Yeah, it was the decision.
- 1:15:27Other than that, yeah. Josh Herron is probably the guy
- 1:15:30I follow. I met him at Chuck Waller
- 1:15:32Raceway probably like 15 years ago or or so.
- 1:15:37I was doing that Jason Pridmore Racing School, and this guy was
- 1:15:40just sending this Yamahas absolutely sideways everywhere.
- 1:15:44And from that day, I was like, yeah, this guy's a badass, I'm
- 1:15:47going to follow him. I've gambled with Heron.
- 1:15:51Straight up I. Was at the casino with Heron.
- 1:15:57That's what you want to see too, man.
- 1:15:58He's at a Pocono track day. Oh, got you, got you, got you.
- 1:16:03That's what's up, Lewis. Man, Did we you frozen or did we
- 1:16:06you you just listen to our banta.
- 1:16:09No, I'm here, all right. I'm just listening to the Banta.
- 1:16:13Yeah, I got you. Got you.
- 1:16:16I do. Have AI do have a little inside
- 1:16:18info all. Right.
- 1:16:19If you can share it, go ahead man all.
- 1:16:22Right. So you're going to break big
- 1:16:24news here. So there will still be track
- 1:16:27days at CODA next year. Uh huh.
- 1:16:33Under a certain set of rules, so it is going private.
- 1:16:37However, if you know a member that is in the member group to
- 1:16:42be private, you can rent it through that member.
- 1:16:45That's number one. So This is why a lot of these
- 1:16:49track day companies are saying that this is the last year that
- 1:16:51you can ride there is because either they don't know members
- 1:16:54or they don't want to pay the membership fee.
- 1:16:57But there will be track days at CODA next year where you can
- 1:17:02ride motorcycles. Also.
- 1:17:06Also additional information, Coda is planning on building
- 1:17:11another track outside of Coda that will be their track day
- 1:17:16track. Oh OK.
- 1:17:19That you'll be able to ride bikes and cars there at that
- 1:17:21separate track that will be less money to rent than the main
- 1:17:26track I. Don't know bootleg track.
- 1:17:29It's, it's actually, it's actually, it's actually a pretty
- 1:17:32big track. You want to ride Koda, but
- 1:17:35nobody wants to pay $1000 to ride Koda.
- 1:17:38And Koda doesn't want people tearing up the track, so they're
- 1:17:42going to build a separate track that's going to be a little bit
- 1:17:45less money to buy. It's still going to be a really
- 1:17:47big quality track. They have a layout already set
- 1:17:50and the plans are in motion. I don't know exactly how long
- 1:17:53it's going to take them to build it, but they are planning on
- 1:17:55building a second track at the facility in Coda.
- 1:18:00OK, that's what's up. There's not much out there so.
- 1:18:03Yeah, there's not much out there.
- 1:18:06So I I got this directly from somebody pretty high up at Coda
- 1:18:11all. Right.
- 1:18:11We'll, we'll, we'll take it. We'll take it.
- 1:18:13They were just on the they were in the tower when you heard it.
- 1:18:17No, no, no, he, he sat me down because so next year me and a
- 1:18:21group of my friends, we're going to rent AVIP Suite and we're
- 1:18:25going to do a special kind of package deal for people that
- 1:18:27want to go see Moto GP. OK.
- 1:18:30And so you, you just pay for your flight to get there.
- 1:18:32And from the time you land at the airport to the time you get
- 1:18:35back to the airport, we transport you to and from.
- 1:18:37We get you the hotel, we get you the VIP suite, we get you
- 1:18:41paddock passes. We take care of everything for
- 1:18:42you from the time you land to the time you take off.
- 1:18:46I like the sounds of that sound of that.
- 1:18:48Yep, they they do. I carry my camera equipment and
- 1:18:51everything. No, no, no.
- 1:18:53You got to carry that man. I'm not carrying your camera
- 1:18:54equipment. That's what's up, man.
- 1:18:58That's good. That's good news because for me,
- 1:19:01Pakoda is on my list is a bucket, bucket list track.
- 1:19:04I want to bring to bring the bike or to and and and get on.
- 1:19:08So at least I know there's that there's a way still and I don't
- 1:19:11have to go sell my kidney to get there this year.
- 1:19:17I mean, most of the track day companies that have been
- 1:19:19advertising have pretty much sold out most of their days
- 1:19:22anyway because, you know, the, the ongoing pitch is that
- 1:19:27motorcycles are never going to ride CODA again.
- 1:19:30And it's, it's, you know, I think they're over pitching that
- 1:19:33because they want to make sure that bondage show all the days
- 1:19:36they had this year because they have a lot of money.
- 1:19:38They have a lot of money at stake to make.
- 1:19:40And two, you know, it doesn't seem like they're willing to
- 1:19:43invest the amount of money that is going to be needed to
- 1:19:45continue to be able to do track days on the main track.
- 1:19:49Right, right. But you know, it's, it's like
- 1:19:52clubbing, right? I mean, there was a point in
- 1:19:53time where you know, you could have $20 in your pocket and go
- 1:19:58to a club and have a good night and kind of stumble home.
- 1:20:02Now you're spending upwards of thousands of dollars.
- 1:20:05And there was a point where the club scene was dying because
- 1:20:08they couldn't afford what the venues were asking.
- 1:20:11But at some point people are now, you know, paying, you know,
- 1:20:14$800.00 for bottles and, you know, to the to the old heads
- 1:20:19are like, what? I can't do that.
- 1:20:23I'm getting drunk in the parking lot and I'm going in and just
- 1:20:26buying a coke. Exactly.
- 1:20:29So I think, I think you know like track days and stuff like
- 1:20:33that, the price will work out where you're going to pay.
- 1:20:37If you want to go to the track, you're going to pay the number
- 1:20:39because if the organization is asking for it and everything, it
- 1:20:42is what it is. I'm not saying it's right.
- 1:20:44But. You know.
- 1:20:45But you want to hear something crazy and it's a it's a very US
- 1:20:49thing because you can rent Majello for 10,000 bucks.
- 1:20:54Say what now? You can rent Majello for
- 1:20:58$10,000. All right, all.
- 1:21:01Right. People get that ad revenue
- 1:21:03going. Let's go.
- 1:21:06NJMP on a weekend in the summer is something like 15 or $16,000.
- 1:21:12Oh wow. To rent, to rent, that fucking
- 1:21:16track. Yeah.
- 1:21:19I mean, is it, is it a matter of just they just own it enough
- 1:21:22where it's just all profit or it's just the love of love of
- 1:21:26the sport that they're just saying because I mean, all over
- 1:21:28in Europe, you know, motor motorcycle racing or track days
- 1:21:33is is like a pastime. It's, it's, it's the quantity.
- 1:21:39There's more tracks available in Europe, so they know that they
- 1:21:43can't gouge as much. Here in the US, we only have so
- 1:21:46many tracks and most of them are owned now by conglomerates more
- 1:21:51than private groups or, you know, private groups own these
- 1:21:55more than private individuals. And they're looking to make
- 1:21:58maximum profit. Every time they rent a track,
- 1:22:00they're looking for maximum profit.
- 1:22:03OK, that's, that's that I, I appreciate you dropping it on
- 1:22:07the show. So you guys, you guys hear that
- 1:22:10you can still go to Koda before we got to hear a couple of
- 1:22:16things. Mostly let's talk about Tiger
- 1:22:19Woods. He had an accident again.
- 1:22:22He's not as he's not, as Lewis would say, he's not a, he's not
- 1:22:25a Lowe's brother. I've seen people come out and,
- 1:22:29and sit here and, and, and essentially say lock him up and
- 1:22:34you know, it, You know, I, I have a different take on it
- 1:22:37because I think it, it, it, it's not alcohol because he, he blew
- 1:22:41a 000. So he wasn't drunk.
- 1:22:44But this guy has had more surgeries and probably all four
- 1:22:47of us on screen, you know, in his life.
- 1:22:51So is it a situation where we should just not have like just
- 1:22:55say, you know, he should know better or just kind of like at
- 1:23:00after a certain point, like how many surgeries, you know, you
- 1:23:03know, and, and so I got an accident in 2018 and I was on
- 1:23:07oxy. I was in the hospital for 9
- 1:23:09days. So I don't know what they gave
- 1:23:11me when I was in and out, but from the time I was out until I
- 1:23:15got home, it was at least seven days, five days.
- 1:23:18And it's crazy to be on that drug.
- 1:23:22Like it's it's absolutely crazy, much less to I can't imagine
- 1:23:26having, you know, 20 or more surgeries and have to take these
- 1:23:29heavy drugs and and, and find a way to get them out my system
- 1:23:32properly. What do you guys have anything
- 1:23:34to share on on on Tiger Woods? I mean, dude's a billionaire,
- 1:23:38isn't he? At this point, or close to it,
- 1:23:40his first wife might have taken. No, she, she took half, she took
- 1:23:44half. So he's a, he's 1/2.
- 1:23:46A billionaire. No, no, no.
- 1:23:47OK. It was a prenup.
- 1:23:48It was a prenup. She got like 120 to stay into
- 1:23:51the country with the with the kids.
- 1:23:52And he didn't. He didn't get all right.
- 1:23:53Well, he's slightly lower than a billionaire, and I feel like
- 1:23:58paying for an Uber is not too much to ask for.
- 1:24:01You know, like you're not stressing for money.
- 1:24:04It's not like you can't afford it or you don't have somebody
- 1:24:07who could arrange it for you. It just seems like a stupid risk
- 1:24:10to take. Yeah, I like, I like that Uber.
- 1:24:13He he could have definitely used an Uber.
- 1:24:16Jordan, what are your thoughts man?
- 1:24:18I agree. If I have that kind of money,
- 1:24:20I'm never driving a car really a day unless it's, you know, some
- 1:24:25crazy out of the outlandish vehicle and I'm doing whatever
- 1:24:29on. But at at that.
- 1:24:31You should just have a driver everywhere you go.
- 1:24:33You know, he likes to party a little bit.
- 1:24:35So all you need is ADD my man. You know that's all you need.
- 1:24:40Yeah, I, you know, I saw Cam from the camera maze.
- 1:24:45I forget what the show is called.
- 1:24:47And he's saying whatever Tiger was doing is that crazy that he
- 1:24:49doesn't want nobody to see. What do you thought?
- 1:24:53No, but. That's definitely what it is to
- 1:24:55think about it. He could at anytime, he could
- 1:24:57have his own personal driver, he can have a limousine service
- 1:25:01take him anywhere he wants to go.
- 1:25:03You know, whatever he was doing is something that he didn't want
- 1:25:05anybody to know he was doing. Maybe he was, you know, putting
- 1:25:08on some big boobs under his shirt and talking to some women
- 1:25:12online and paying him a bunch of money.
- 1:25:14You know, we found out that there's a lot of lot of
- 1:25:16freakingness going on out here all of a sudden.
- 1:25:21But, but I don't like to like, you know, we're, we're in, we're
- 1:25:25in the, we're in the business of talking about people.
- 1:25:28But I don't know what this dude is going through, man.
- 1:25:31Like with pain, with, you know, with back surgery, I've, I've
- 1:25:34been on painkillers. I mean, I was in an, I had an
- 1:25:37injury so bad that I actually had an epidural in my back and I
- 1:25:42had to carry around this little sack like a little Fanny pack
- 1:25:46for two weeks. That was slow, would slowly like
- 1:25:50pump a painkiller into me for two weeks.
- 1:25:54It was that bad. And so you don't really know
- 1:25:57what this guy's going to. You don't know his life or the
- 1:26:00situation. Whatever it is, man, I hope that
- 1:26:02he gets some help because, you know, I look at a Tiger Woods
- 1:26:07and what he's done with his life and what he did with the sport
- 1:26:10and what he did for minorities and everything else.
- 1:26:13And I and I hold him in pretty high regard as far as what he
- 1:26:16did in the past, what he's doing now.
- 1:26:18It's kind of hurting his legacy. It's hurting himself.
- 1:26:20But I'm sure there's something else going on there that we
- 1:26:22don't know about. And that's why when people
- 1:26:25start, oh, lock him up and this and that, like, you know, you
- 1:26:27don't really don't know what this guy's going through.
- 1:26:29You don't know the situation he has.
- 1:26:31You know, he's human just like the rest of us.
- 1:26:33He makes mistakes. And, you know, he might have
- 1:26:35some serious situation with his family, with his kids or
- 1:26:39whatever else, as long as he's not, you know, hurting anybody.
- 1:26:45You know, he, he just needs some people in his life to get him
- 1:26:48some help, man. Because thank God, thank
- 1:26:49goodness he had this accident. He didn't hurt anybody.
- 1:26:52But God forbid he had hurt somebody or killed somebody,
- 1:26:55then the situation would be completely different.
- 1:26:57But this is maybe there's a, he's had a couple, maybe there's
- 1:27:00another one of these wake up calls.
- 1:27:02It's like, no, man, you need somebody in your life to kind of
- 1:27:04help you out, right? I mean, you would have think
- 1:27:06after jacking up his leg, that would have been a, you know,
- 1:27:10because I heard him, it's hurting him from playing games.
- 1:27:13So whatever it is, it's definitely serious because you
- 1:27:16know, you think putting on your pants and your underwear every
- 1:27:19day, you would remind you like man.
- 1:27:24I mean you would have thought his his wife beating his ass
- 1:27:28would have stopped him from cheating too, but he kept doing
- 1:27:30that. So it is pretty wild.
- 1:27:38Let's see. And on that note and on that
- 1:27:42note, till next week, guys, I really appreciate it.
- 1:27:45My name is Rex 45 is the be forever Cool podcast.
- 1:27:48We got Tyson from up north on the show.
- 1:27:51Really appreciate it, Jordan, really appreciate it.
- 1:27:53Stepping in as well, going to Koda and all that and and
- 1:27:56sharing your story, man, Louis, the real Louis Ortega, the
- 1:28:00numbers guy. I'm glad that you know you're
- 1:28:02slowing down enough that we can get you at least.
- 1:28:06Famous man. Be on the show until you get
- 1:28:09some light on you. You are famous, man.
- 1:28:12No, no doubt. Listen, man, the the the believe
- 1:28:15it or not, this show is, is is people are watching.
- 1:28:18You know, they're running up on y'all.
- 1:28:19So, you know, be careful what you say, because you know, Reese
- 1:28:27was definitely amped. Marquez grandstand after me, but
- 1:28:34I tell you. Oh, another thing I do want to
- 1:28:36touch on coming to Austin. Yeah, there's a lot.
- 1:28:40It seems like there's a lot of bandwagon fans for as far as the
- 1:28:44eye you can see, all you see is red.
- 1:28:47Ducati grandstands everywhere and you can't find a Yamaha you
- 1:28:54can't find. I couldn't find any merch for a
- 1:28:56top rack. Razzagliaaglu one of the main
- 1:28:59attractions. Yamaha missed big time, didn't
- 1:29:03have enough stands and I'm. Just saying.
- 1:29:05All all I saw was red going down there well.
- 1:29:08We didn't change that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:29:10I mean, you know, you know how, you know, to quote the great
- 1:29:13Michael Jordan, you know how you do that?
- 1:29:16Win. Win.
- 1:29:17Yeah, you. Win, but Zeki's coming, baby.
- 1:29:19Still. No, no thanks.
- 1:29:27Guys have a good one. Thanks for having me.
