- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, good afternoon, listeners. Thank you for listening to Lament
- 0:03Speaker 1: of Hope podcast, and I'm very grateful. This is going
- 0:08Speaker 1: to be a little unconventional, because if you're watching this,
- 0:10Speaker 1: you're going to see it's just the logo for the podcast,
- 0:14Speaker 1: but Dr. Katina and I really tried, and unfortunately, we
- 0:18Speaker 1: weren't able to do video, but that's okay. I was
- 0:21Speaker 1: going to say, that's the encouragement to me, too, is that,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and it's something I've been convicted on and have to
- 0:27Speaker 1: grow in, is that often and I think in the
- 0:30Speaker 1: Christian community, and it's a big thing, and this is
- 0:32Speaker 1: something with the podcast I've faced is, um, I've had
- 0:36Speaker 1: so many different people on the podcast who don't agree,
- 0:39Speaker 1: you know, or not Christians or who've had, um, or
- 0:42Speaker 1: very viscerally hate God. And so when that conversation comes up, um,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I like to talk about it. I like to dialogue
- 0:51Speaker 1: and know why and ask questions, but I've had people say,
- 0:55Speaker 1: why do you talk to people like that? Like, that's not,
- 0:58Speaker 1: you know, they're not, they don't, they're so weird or
- 1:01Speaker 1: they don't think the way we, you know, all this stuff.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, when was it a we versus them scenario?
- 1:08Speaker 1: Cause I don't, I don't see that in scripture. Cause
- 1:10Speaker 1: I see Christ going and sharing the truth and talking
- 1:14Speaker 1: with others, but he didn't ban people from his presence
- 1:19Speaker 1: because they were different than him or didn't agree. And
- 1:23Speaker 1: so I, it's interesting cause I just see that we
- 1:26Speaker 1: versus them so much here in America. But when, It's
- 1:31Speaker 1: not terrible. It is, but it's interesting because I've never
- 1:35Speaker 1: been to Sudan, but I've been to Ghana twice with
- 1:38Speaker 1: my husband. And I've loved, it's so interesting how
