- 0:55Speaker 4: let's money fest over here.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Celebrate which Spanish speaking country will it be?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Yeah? At least I can sledge each other in their
- 1:04Speaker 1: own language. Before that you are at the Good foodom
- 1:11Speaker 1: Wine Show. Your segment this year at the show is
- 1:14Speaker 1: called have Fun in the Kitchen.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Do you wonder why they picked you for that.
- 1:17Speaker 4: Well, I mean, Lisa, I think I think it's like,
- 1:20Speaker 4: you know, we've been over bombed with so many serious
- 1:24Speaker 4: things are cooking over the years, right, yeah, all these
- 1:27Speaker 4: cooking shows are so like Ernest and everyone is crying
- 1:30Speaker 4: and my mom, my great grandma, and it's like we
- 1:34Speaker 4: stopped crying and just I mean, like.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Cook some nice sandwiches and food is joy, I know.
- 1:41Speaker 4: So, I mean this year was a little bit of
- 1:42Speaker 4: a put the food in the pedal to bring some
- 1:45Speaker 4: fun in the kitchen. And I've always been my favorite
- 1:48Speaker 4: ingredient in the kitchen is fun and entertainment. I think
- 1:52Speaker 4: nowadays to hold an audience of a thousand people sitting
- 1:55Speaker 4: in front of you talking about potatoes is not easy anymore.
- 1:59Speaker 4: I mean, it's soon spam for people. It happens to
- 2:01Speaker 4: be with the Instagram. In three seconds, you already moved.
- 2:05Speaker 3: On for the next year, exactly.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So I've been bringing a little bit of fun and
- 2:09Speaker 4: I got inspired in I'm lucky enough to work in
- 2:12Speaker 4: different TV newards. I do a lot of traveling, so
- 2:14Speaker 4: I got inspired in three different places. I have been
- 2:17Speaker 4: to do three different recipes which I thought would be
- 2:20Speaker 4: really fun. I've been in Japan this year early in
- 2:23Speaker 4: the Yeah, a new show for Channel nine, and I
- 2:25Speaker 4: was obsessed with the Japanese egg sandwich. Oh, the seventy
- 2:30Speaker 4: eleven eggs sandwich, egg and mayonnaise. This is one of
- 2:32Speaker 4: the most unbelievable thing in the world. Delicious.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yes, So I love an egg sandwich.
- 2:40Speaker 4: You go sevent eleven, You buy the fried chicken. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 4: the exauich You are hiding in your room in the
- 2:44Speaker 4: hotel and use coffee in a really guilty pleasure way
- 2:47Speaker 4: with a nice cup of tea. And that's probably the
- 2:50Speaker 4: most fancy thing you can do in Japan.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Australia all right, forget about your fogo fish Australian again.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I ain't get a sandwich that mine.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Because for most people, cooking can be a bit of
- 3:04Speaker 2: a chore. It's something you have to do every day,
- 3:07Speaker 2: and so it's a chance to you to show them
- 3:10Speaker 2: something fun. I have a good time with it.
- 3:13Speaker 4: So I bought a few components which make the segment
- 3:16Speaker 4: a little more enjoyable. I bought a Japanese katana sword,
- 3:20Speaker 4: so I got a coverage in the stage. I know
- 3:24Speaker 4: that was very interesting, more than security has got none.
- 3:28Speaker 4: And that will be a full show.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Just watching that you.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Still see just bringing it from Sydney, it was a
- 3:33Speaker 4: whole fish show.
- 3:35Speaker 3: But I were three coverages on the stage.
- 3:37Speaker 4: I'm with the Katana sword because the Japanese sandwich serves
- 3:40Speaker 4: with a covered salad. To job the coverage, I use
- 3:45Speaker 4: the Japanese sword. And he's so funny. I mean like
- 3:48Speaker 4: he's so stupid, but he's so funny. I put the
- 3:51Speaker 4: music I Mortal Combat and I get like the katana
- 3:55Speaker 4: covin coverages?
- 3:57Speaker 3: Do you qualify this by saying, hey, don't do this?
- 4:00Speaker 4: I mean I think you can't do eighty percent on
- 4:03Speaker 4: the show. You can't do but a little bit of
- 4:05Speaker 4: fun in the kitchen, you never aspired.
- 4:08Speaker 1: What was the last thing is stuffed up in the kitchen?
- 4:10Speaker 3: What was your last disaster?
- 4:12Speaker 4: Every every day I mean like a disasterchen. You don't
- 4:15Speaker 4: make a disaster that the kitchen. You don't try and
- 4:17Speaker 4: cut it off. I mean learn from your mistakes. Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 4: every day you learn something different. My daughter Claudia, yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 4: answered your question. He's become a head chef now, so
- 4:27Speaker 4: she's a very see in the schools, she get like
- 4:30Speaker 4: a plus in food science. Food technology is a theme
- 4:34Speaker 4: So my last thing I was trying, Cloria was doing
- 4:37Speaker 4: all these recipes and she is like in the kitchen
- 4:40Speaker 4: like a real head chief. So I would come and say,
- 4:43Speaker 4: oh god, you don't do this like that is like
- 4:45Speaker 4: this is my recipe. So it's really a strong personality.
- 4:49Speaker 4: So I've been trying really hard. I've been doing really
- 4:52Speaker 4: hard to talk anything with Claudia, and I've been demotive
- 4:55Speaker 4: to first your apprentice in.
- 4:56Speaker 3: My own house.
- 4:59Speaker 4: My daughter explained, reads more of cooking the bees fascinating.
- 5:04Speaker 3: You're just cleaning up.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Yeah, what else is happening at the Who else is
- 5:12Speaker 1: the other chef?
- 5:13Speaker 4: So we got Kirsten t Balls, which is the Queen
- 5:16Speaker 4: of chocolate, yes, which is absolutely amazing. And you see
- 5:19Speaker 4: one of her sessions. You got there and you get
- 5:22Speaker 4: indulged and you start to feel and you want to
- 5:25Speaker 4: put your face in the back of chocolate and drinking.
- 5:27Speaker 4: You know. It's one of the cooking demonstrations that shows
- 5:30Speaker 4: you so much about you know, technical stuff, how to
- 5:33Speaker 4: do like a proper tempering Saturday and all these things.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Maybe you're not gonna go home and that's chemistry, but
- 5:40Speaker 3: you go. You're watching that and you're like, how.
- 5:42Speaker 4: You do that. I got the funny story with Kirston
- 5:45Speaker 4: she was doing in the show in Sydney. She got
- 5:48Speaker 4: this whole table made out of chocolate, and it's a
- 5:51Speaker 4: little chair made out of chocolate, and I didn't know
- 5:55Speaker 4: for the session that was actually made out of chocolate.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Just before she came out into the stage, he gets
- 6:01Speaker 4: all the red tub and Alice Stair McCloud is, I
- 6:03Speaker 4: we're EMC and he gets all the people getting excited,
- 6:07Speaker 4: and then the chocolate chair was on the top shelf.
- 6:12Speaker 4: But I didn't know there was chocolate. And I'm like, Kirs,
- 6:14Speaker 4: then I'll give this for you. I get it for
- 6:16Speaker 4: you and no, And you know in the.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Movies when you can see a slow mouse, you're like, no,
- 6:23Speaker 3: look of terror.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Terror. I grab the thing by.
- 6:27Speaker 3: The leg, broke in one million.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Pieces one second before the cooking demonstration. The hero shot.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Then you had to eat it.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I guess it was broken. Share it around nobody paper,
- 6:40Speaker 3: But that is the whole Phenish product.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Well we'll see if she's forgiving you. When you are
- 6:46Speaker 1: you see her at the Good Friend and watch.
- 6:48Speaker 3: A little disappointed you didn't bring snacks, But never mind.
- 6:51Speaker 4: I saw you, I saw you I saw you having
- 6:54Speaker 4: your healthy snack in the morning.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I woke at Miguel's there and holding an up and
- 6:59Speaker 3: go like a nice guys.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Good for the next sandwich, definitely and uh may the
- 7:06Speaker 2: best team win on Sunday morning, on Monday morning, Monday morning,
- 7:11Speaker 2: thank you so much
