- 0:00Speaker 1: That's impossible.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Let me tell you what I believe.
- 0:03Speaker 1: That your weakness is not your technique.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yes! Yes!
- 0:08Speaker 1: Don't think you are. Know you are.
- 0:12Speaker 3: The Impossible Life Podcast.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You're sitting on a winning lottery ticket. An idea that
- 0:17Speaker 1: is fully formed, fully understood, that sticks. This is the
- 0:23Speaker 1: Impossible Life Podcast. because Nick and I are attempting to
- 0:27Speaker 1: live impossible lives. What we know is that nothing is impossible.
- 0:32Speaker 1: So instead of using impossible as an excuse to not try,
- 0:36Speaker 1: we'll use the pursuit of impossible as an accelerant for greatness.
- 0:41Speaker 1: If something's never been done before, that just means it's unexplored.
- 0:45Speaker 1: If they tell you it's too hard, it's just waiting
- 0:48Speaker 1: to be simplified. Impossible is a default label, used by
- 0:53Speaker 1: uncourageous people, unwilling to take a risk. The real truth
- 0:57Speaker 1: is this. The solution to any impossible task starts with
- 1:01Speaker 1: this question. If I had to, what would it take?
- 1:09Speaker 2: Welcome to another episode of the Impossible Life Podcast. I'm
- 1:11Speaker 2: your co-host, Nick Surface, and I'm looking across at a
- 1:13Speaker 2: man who wasn't born in a hospital. He was forged
- 1:16Speaker 2: in the heart of a Hawaiian volcano and handed directly
- 1:19Speaker 2: to the Navy. That's right, friends, the former Navy SEAL,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Garrett Unklebach, a man whose first baby picture was just
- 1:27Speaker 2: a plume of smoke.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I am. So we just went to Hawaii and it
- 1:34Speaker 1: was amazing. Inspired this. Thank you. Thank you, Lord, for
- 1:36Speaker 1: the opportunity to get to take my wife to Hawaii
- 1:39Speaker 1: for our 10 year wedding anniversary. But we got a
- 1:43Speaker 1: Lindsay and I kept listening to the song. I'm not
- 1:45Speaker 1: even going to try to pronounce his last name because
- 1:47Speaker 1: I'll butcher it, but Israel, the Hawaiian guy who sings
- 1:52Speaker 1: Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Everybody knows that song. Well, there's
- 1:54Speaker 1: another song of his that I hadn't heard because we
- 1:56Speaker 1: were listening to a bunch of his music about Maui,
- 2:00Speaker 1: the Hawaiian superman.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Oh, no way.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I'd never heard this song before. But the lyrics are,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I don't know, slightly cheesy, but I loved it. It says,
- 2:11Speaker 1: before there was Clark Kent, there was a Hawaiian Superman.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It's a song about Maui. Well, I got to check
- 2:17Speaker 1: this out now. That sounds like a deep cut. I
- 2:18Speaker 1: didn't know. He unfortunately died. He was a very large man.
- 2:21Speaker 1: He did. Like morbidly overweight, unfortunately. So those songs are
- 2:25Speaker 1: from the 80s and 90s. So it was a song
- 2:29Speaker 1: about Maui back then. Obviously Maui was a thing before,
- 2:32Speaker 1: you know, Disney made a movie about it, but it
- 2:35Speaker 1: was just a great song. Oh, I'm going to have
- 2:37Speaker 1: to check that out.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Thank you, G. That's some additional work. All right.
- 2:39Speaker 1: We're going to dive into how to see value today.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Before we do, I just have to do a quick public,
- 2:45Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm going to say apology because I
- 2:47Speaker 2: feel like I fell short. So to a woman who
- 2:50Speaker 2: I don't know what her name is that I met
- 2:51Speaker 2: in the Atlanta airport. I hope you're listening to this.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I'm very sorry that I was not more engaging with, And,
- 2:59Speaker 2: and ready to meet somebody. I feel so bad. Like genuinely,
- 3:02Speaker 2: I love meeting podcast listeners by and large. When I
- 3:04Speaker 2: meet podcast listeners, it's at Mighty Men. Cause we have
- 3:07Speaker 2: a lot of people that come from all over, really
- 3:09Speaker 2: all over the country at this point that come to
- 3:11Speaker 2: Mighty Men. And we always look forward to that. So
- 3:13Speaker 2: I'm like ready for that. And I'll be honest, I
- 3:16Speaker 2: have not been recognized in public. This is the second
- 3:18Speaker 2: time ever that that's happened. And I was in the
- 3:21Speaker 2: Atlanta airport, did not expect it. I was in full
- 3:24Speaker 2: mission mode because I needed to get my family to
- 3:26Speaker 2: my sister's house fast because I had to get to
- 3:28Speaker 2: work and we'd had our travel plans all screwed up.
- 3:31Speaker 2: And this sweet woman was like, are you Nick? And
- 3:33Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, I was so caught off guard.
- 3:36Speaker 2: And she's like, oh, we love the podcast. We were
- 3:38Speaker 2: just talking about it. And I was like, oh, that's great.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And I was like, Hey, it's really nice to meet you.
- 3:42Speaker 2: And I just walked off, man. So I, I, I
- 3:44Speaker 2: feel like I, I failed completely.
- 3:47Speaker 1: That is, that is a fail for you for sure.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And that is very much, I may have rubbed off
- 3:52Speaker 1: on you too much. That's like, you're supposed to be
- 3:54Speaker 1: great at that stuff. Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I literally was like, I was like, you're not part
- 3:57Speaker 2: of the mission. So anyways, I didn't even get her name.
- 3:59Speaker 2: I like, even my wife was like, my, my kids
- 4:01Speaker 2: were like, dad, that wasn't very cool. So that's why
- 4:03Speaker 2: I wanted to say, because if your kids are telling
- 4:05Speaker 2: you that you were bad. Uh, I'm going to go
- 4:07Speaker 2: ahead and say, so ma'am.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I reach out to the podcast. Nick is sorry. And
- 4:11Speaker 1: he would like to make it up to you by
- 4:12Speaker 1: sending you merch or something else.
- 4:15Speaker 2: You know what?
- 4:15Speaker 1: Actually I will.
- 4:16Speaker 2: If you, if you send it out to me and
- 4:17Speaker 2: tell me what, uh, and tell me what t-shirt I
- 4:20Speaker 2: was wearing in the airport. Uh, I will, uh, just
- 4:22Speaker 2: so I know it's you, I will make sure to
- 4:24Speaker 2: send it to you. And if you don't remember, I'll
- 4:25Speaker 2: still send it to you. Okay. So G today's today's
- 4:28Speaker 2: is how to see value. Now this is following on
- 4:30Speaker 2: from the price payers episode that we released on Monday,
- 4:32Speaker 2: which you won't know this because you don't listen to
- 4:34Speaker 2: any of this stuff.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Um, but I have had so much.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Positive feedback about that episode, which I always appreciate, um,
- 4:40Speaker 2: because that was a big shift for me. And one
- 4:42Speaker 2: of the things you said on that episode was you
- 4:43Speaker 2: said that price payers, um, they, they know what matters, right?
- 4:48Speaker 2: The very first thing you said is price payers decide
- 4:50Speaker 2: what is worth it. Now, what I've realized and what
- 4:52Speaker 2: I pointed out on that episode is so many of
- 4:54Speaker 2: us are terrible at knowing what actually matters and we're
- 4:56Speaker 2: terrible at seeing value. So we want to, you even
- 4:59Speaker 2: said on the, on the episode, first time it's ever happened,
- 5:01Speaker 2: you're like, we need to do a tools and tactics
- 5:02Speaker 2: about that. So here we are, the follow-up episode is
- 5:05Speaker 2: how to see value.
- 5:07Speaker 1: This isn't just a, you know, a lot of the
- 5:09Speaker 1: topics that we cover here are, I would say are
- 5:11Speaker 1: specific to people who want to be great, people who
- 5:14Speaker 1: want to be everything God created them to be. And
- 5:15Speaker 1: we give you some narrow, at times, narrow lanes of like, hey,
- 5:19Speaker 1: here's what you got to do. You need to focus
- 5:21Speaker 1: on these things. This specific thing, I'm, it's honest, you know,
- 5:25Speaker 1: I say this sometimes about these episodes, but after 300 episodes,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I don't know how we didn't get to this one.
- 5:29Speaker 1: but I'm really glad we're doing this one today because
- 5:31Speaker 1: this is not just something that is a kingdom thing.
- 5:34Speaker 1: This is, you know, share this to your friends who
- 5:37Speaker 1: maybe don't think all the same ways that we think
- 5:40Speaker 1: on this podcast and say, hey, maybe you should listen
- 5:42Speaker 1: to these guys because this is everywhere. Major organizations fail
- 5:47Speaker 1: to see value. You know why people hire people with
- 5:50Speaker 1: college degrees or people or companies, nice companies, they hire
- 5:54Speaker 1: the big tech companies. You know why they hire from Stanford?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Because they can't assess talent. They go, oh, well, you're
- 6:00Speaker 1: good enough for Stanford. You must be good enough for me.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Our head of software here at Union, Adam, incredible software engineer,
- 6:08Speaker 1: we were having this conversation one time and I was
- 6:11Speaker 1: challenging him to think differently about the way that he
- 6:14Speaker 1: assesses talent because Adam's brilliant. And I said, Adam, if
- 6:18Speaker 1: I put five software engineers in front of you and
- 6:22Speaker 1: you can't ask them about their background and I don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: show you their resume, can you tell me which one
- 6:28Speaker 1: is the best software engineer? He goes, oh yeah, of course.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I go, then why do you look at it? Why
- 6:32Speaker 1: does the resume matter? The reason that people, that resumes
- 6:35Speaker 1: even exist is because people say, well, I guess if
- 6:38Speaker 1: you did that, then you must be able to do this.
- 6:41Speaker 1: People are unable to correlate. They're unable to understand where
- 6:44Speaker 1: value comes from. The government does this. Big organizations do this.
- 6:47Speaker 1: We fail to see value. We don't know what value
- 6:49Speaker 1: actually is. And this happens, think about when you go shopping.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Based upon what the price of the product is, you
- 6:56Speaker 1: know this, Nick, as a marketer. Based upon how you
- 6:58Speaker 1: price a product, it makes people think differently about what
- 7:00Speaker 1: the product is. They're not able to look at, oh, well,
- 7:03Speaker 1: look at the quality of the material. Where did you
- 7:05Speaker 1: source your ingredients from? They don't know how to do
- 7:09Speaker 1: the cogs on a product and understand its real value.
- 7:12Speaker 1: The price tells them what the value is. And so
- 7:15Speaker 1: I say all this to say, we're going to talk
- 7:17Speaker 1: about this. People have got to understand that. how to
- 7:20Speaker 1: see value. We're going to give this to you in
- 7:21Speaker 1: a kingdom context related to the impossible life, but this
- 7:24Speaker 1: is a win and an unlock for life if you
- 7:26Speaker 1: can understand what's valuable.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And we have actually talked about how to see opportunity,
- 7:32Speaker 2: but we've never talked about how to see value, which
- 7:33Speaker 2: is why I really like this.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Speaking of opportunities, this is similar to the famous quote
- 7:39Speaker 1: that I love. Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work,
- 7:42Speaker 1: so most people don't recognize them. It's a famous quote.
- 7:45Speaker 1: And really, some of that's related to what we're going
- 7:47Speaker 1: to talk about today and how to see value. You've
- 7:49Speaker 1: got to, if you are allergic to work, you can't
- 7:52Speaker 1: see opportunities, right? Because of a filter that you have
- 7:56Speaker 1: of I'm lazy, you miss opportunities. And so what we're
- 7:59Speaker 1: going to try to do today is remove some of
- 8:00Speaker 1: those filters that help you from seeing great value.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Now, I want to point out, when you say I'm lazy,
- 8:06Speaker 2: I don't think a lot of people would consider what
- 8:08Speaker 2: you're calling lazy laziness, truthfully.
- 8:09Speaker 1: No, I'm being serious.
- 8:10Speaker 2: We're I think the definition of lazy, I think a
- 8:16Speaker 2: lot of people take it to an extreme and just
- 8:17Speaker 2: think that that's you laying around on the couch. But
- 8:19Speaker 2: you came from an environment in the SEAL teams where
- 8:22Speaker 2: it's like, if you weren't absolutely putting out everything you had,
- 8:25Speaker 2: like you guys got hammered for holding back if you
- 8:27Speaker 2: were saving a little in the tank. They wanted you
- 8:29Speaker 2: to go 100% all the time.
- 8:31Speaker 1: We live in a society today that makes things so easy.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Entitlement has become the norm and people don't realize it.
- 8:38Speaker 1: If you back up in human history a few hundred
- 8:40Speaker 1: years ago, to entitlement, no one ever planted seed in
- 8:45Speaker 1: the ground, watered it, and cried to their neighbor of like,
- 8:50Speaker 1: the land is so mean to me. It's really unfair. No,
- 8:53Speaker 1: they said effort does not equal outcome, right? So they
- 8:56Speaker 1: worked until they produced the result. And so a lot
- 8:59Speaker 1: of people today, the reason you're saying this is that
- 9:01Speaker 1: I consider some people lazy is because they work to
- 9:04Speaker 1: the degree that they think they are owed a reward.
- 9:07Speaker 1: They don't work to what produces a result. Right. They're
- 9:10Speaker 1: looking for the bare minimum. All right, G.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Well, you said this when we were preparing, that there's
- 9:15Speaker 2: a difference between seeing the direct value of something and
- 9:18Speaker 2: seeing what something could be. And I think that that's,
- 9:21Speaker 2: to the point you made about pricing, I think most people,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and you're right, a lot of people will slap a
- 9:26Speaker 2: premium price tag on it just because it's part of
- 9:28Speaker 2: the marketing story and they know that people don't know
- 9:30Speaker 2: how to see value. And so that's even what it
- 9:33Speaker 2: actually is. I think it's really rare that that somebody
- 9:36Speaker 2: can actually see what something can be. I think, you know,
- 9:39Speaker 2: you do this with land and that's a little bit
- 9:41Speaker 2: more understood, but the example you gave about talent, I
- 9:44Speaker 2: think that that's where, when you understand who Jesus chose
- 9:47Speaker 2: as his disciples, you understand the greatness of God because
- 9:50Speaker 2: there was nothing special about those guys. Like not only
- 9:52Speaker 2: was there nothing special, he chose like a hated person
- 9:56Speaker 2: in Matthew, a tax collector. Like imagine you're in a
- 9:58Speaker 2: captive land and the guy who's friends with your captors
- 10:01Speaker 2: and is like paying them off and taking money from you.
- 10:04Speaker 2: And Jesus goes, yeah, that'll be one of my disciples.
- 10:06Speaker 2: You'd be like, screw that guy. I hate that guy.
- 10:08Speaker 2: He's taking money from us and giving it to the
- 10:09Speaker 2: people that are torturing us and like taking over our life.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And that's who Jesus chose. So you want to talk
- 10:14Speaker 2: about seeing what something could be like, praise God he does.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Cause I wouldn't be on this podcast. None of us
- 10:19Speaker 2: would be redeemed and saved the way we are. If
- 10:21Speaker 2: it wasn't for Jesus, who can call the things that
- 10:24Speaker 2: be not as though they were.
- 10:25Speaker 1: For sure. Well, and like you said, you know, related
- 10:28Speaker 1: to land, land can, you can put a price on
- 10:31Speaker 1: a piece of dirt, but someone who sees what something
- 10:34Speaker 1: could be, you know, a developer takes a million dollar
- 10:37Speaker 1: piece of property and turns it into an $ 8 million
- 10:39Speaker 1: piece of property and He looks at that property and says,
- 10:41Speaker 1: if I do this to it and I plat it
- 10:44Speaker 1: and I prepare it for the market and I do
- 10:45Speaker 1: all of these things, what was a million dollar piece
- 10:47Speaker 1: of dirt is actually worth this. He sees future value.
- 10:51Speaker 1: He sees what it could be. Most people, because they're
- 10:54Speaker 1: not able to do that, someone has to tell them,
- 10:57Speaker 1: here's what the price of this is. And people understand
- 11:00Speaker 1: at least the price or the value of money. And
- 11:04Speaker 1: so all they can see is here's what the actual
- 11:06Speaker 1: cost of something is. But they don't know how to
- 11:08Speaker 1: look at a relationship. They don't know how to look
- 11:09Speaker 1: at an opportunity. They don't know how to look at
- 11:11Speaker 1: another person and say, what is the value here? And
- 11:14Speaker 1: one of the impediments to that is being able to
- 11:17Speaker 1: see what something could be. One of the value adds
- 11:22Speaker 1: that I give to a lot of people that I
- 11:24Speaker 1: get the, and I only do one-on-one coaching part-time because
- 11:28Speaker 1: I really just don't have a lot of time for it.
- 11:29Speaker 1: But the limited time that I do get to do it,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I love doing it. Because one of the things that
- 11:34Speaker 1: I help many of the guys that I get to
- 11:36Speaker 1: work with see is I see in them what they
- 11:38Speaker 1: could be. I see potential for them. I see potential
- 11:41Speaker 1: for their business. And that's one of the things you
- 11:44Speaker 1: want someone who's a mentor in your life to help
- 11:45Speaker 1: you do is lid lift. I see what their business
- 11:48Speaker 1: could become. I see what this person could become. And
- 11:50Speaker 1: I see greater value in them. You've got to be
- 11:53Speaker 1: able to see the value of what something could be. Otherwise,
- 11:56Speaker 1: you're going to miss so many other things. Or it's
- 11:57Speaker 1: just the simple phrase of don't judge a book by
- 11:59Speaker 1: its cover. Until you've really understood what an item is,
- 12:03Speaker 1: you've not fully understood its value.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I just, I want to highlight something you
- 12:08Speaker 2: said there. I feel like I'm always highlighting things. But
- 12:11Speaker 2: selfishness robs you in every way. One of the first
- 12:14Speaker 2: things you said was you said, if you're thinking transactionally,
- 12:17Speaker 2: you're thinking about what it costs you. And I think
- 12:19Speaker 2: you're very good at looking at people and assessing them.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Like you're proving that now at a very high level
- 12:23Speaker 2: with what you're doing in business. But I've watched you
- 12:25Speaker 2: do this for a long time, just with Mighty Men
- 12:27Speaker 2: in our own experiences and some of the things that
- 12:29Speaker 2: you saw in me before I saw them. And so
- 12:31Speaker 2: I think it's an amazing thing because the more I
- 12:33Speaker 2: go on, the more I just realized like selfishness is
- 12:35Speaker 2: such a disgusting thing that robs you at every single realm. And,
- 12:39Speaker 2: and gee, I want to, I want to go with
- 12:40Speaker 2: where this starts, but you said this. And so I
- 12:43Speaker 2: want you to stay on the podcast. When you said this,
- 12:44Speaker 2: I remember I was just like, dude, that is so good.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It was also like six in the morning. So I
- 12:48Speaker 2: think I, you know, my brain was still coming to
- 12:51Speaker 2: terms with functioning in English, but yeah, I mean, where,
- 12:55Speaker 2: where this starts, geez. So let's like, where do you
- 12:57Speaker 2: start to see value? Like, how do you start to
- 12:59Speaker 2: begin to see value?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Well, you know, as we always do, and this is where,
- 13:03Speaker 1: you know, Nick just started asking me the question as
- 13:05Speaker 1: we prepared for this, and I just thought about it
- 13:07Speaker 1: as I normally do. And when there's not an immediate
- 13:11Speaker 1: answer in my brain, the first place that I go
- 13:13Speaker 1: looking is what does God say? And, you know, for
- 13:17Speaker 1: those of you who don't follow the Lord as hard
- 13:19Speaker 1: as we do, you're missing it, by the way. But
- 13:21Speaker 1: for those of you who don't follow the Lord as
- 13:23Speaker 1: hard as we do, you can look in other places.
- 13:25Speaker 1: But what I have found is that this is where
- 13:28Speaker 1: all truth comes from. And so one of the things
- 13:31Speaker 1: I look at is where does our, like, where does
- 13:34Speaker 1: our value come from? Well, our value comes from God.
- 13:37Speaker 1: And you could see this in, you know, you could
- 13:39Speaker 1: miss this because we've talked a lot about identity. And,
- 13:42Speaker 1: you know, if you ask someone who's a Christian who
- 13:45Speaker 1: doesn't really understand identity, you know, you ask them about
- 13:47Speaker 1: their identity. They'll say, well, my identity is in Christ. Well,
- 13:50Speaker 1: what does that mean? And I actually know what that
- 13:52Speaker 1: means is you just know that's the right answer. what
- 13:55Speaker 1: I would say is it relates to our value. Well,
- 13:57Speaker 1: you do have to understand that God is the one
- 14:00Speaker 1: who gives value to us. God is the creator of value.
- 14:03Speaker 1: God is the one who has made it all. So
- 14:05Speaker 1: the ability to see value in other things, it starts
- 14:09Speaker 1: with being able to see value in yourself. Let me
- 14:12Speaker 1: give you an example. Because if you don't really know
- 14:14Speaker 1: what the thing is, you won't value it. If you
- 14:17Speaker 1: don't know anything about football, if you're born on some
- 14:20Speaker 1: island in the middle of the Pacific, and I show
- 14:23Speaker 1: you Tom Brady's jersey, you don't know what it's worth
- 14:27Speaker 1: because you don't know who Tom Brady is. But if
- 14:29Speaker 1: you knew who Tom Brady is, you would know what
- 14:31Speaker 1: the value of that item is. You've got to realize
- 14:34Speaker 1: that God's created us to give value to things, to
- 14:40Speaker 1: God made us to work, God made us to build
- 14:43Speaker 1: and develop things. And so until I realize why God
- 14:46Speaker 1: made me and what God put me on the earth
- 14:48Speaker 1: to do, I'll look at things just as the way
- 14:50Speaker 1: they are. I won't look at things as the way
- 14:52Speaker 1: they could be. God put Adam in the garden. He said,
- 14:54Speaker 1: what are you going to do about that? Work it
- 14:56Speaker 1: and keep it. Make it better. Build it. Improve on it.
- 14:59Speaker 1: See the value of what it could be. And so
- 15:01Speaker 1: what I'm saying here is that the ability to see
- 15:03Speaker 1: value in anything else, it starts with the ability to
- 15:07Speaker 1: see value in ourselves. When I look at opportunities, when
- 15:11Speaker 1: I look at people, when I look at anything that
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm potentially investing into, I look at what happens when
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm involved with this. I see my value and it
- 15:21Speaker 1: helps me see the value in that thing. Let's look
- 15:23Speaker 1: at this from the flip side. If you are wildly depressed,
- 15:27Speaker 1: upset about your life, you're in a dark place, what
- 15:30Speaker 1: do you start to do? You see value in nothing.
- 15:32Speaker 1: When you see no value in yourself, you also see
- 15:35Speaker 1: no value in other things. If you see yourself of
- 15:38Speaker 1: great value, you think what, I love the way Pastor
- 15:42Speaker 1: Keith said it, this is both a positive and a negative,
- 15:44Speaker 1: wherever you go, there you are. You know what I think?
- 15:47Speaker 1: You could call this arrogant or conceited, but I think
- 15:49Speaker 1: those of you listening to the show won't take it
- 15:51Speaker 1: this way. But I see a lot of value in myself.
- 15:53Speaker 1: And everywhere I go, I think I bring value to
- 15:55Speaker 1: those places. And I make things better because I'm there.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And so I see value in people. I see value
- 16:00Speaker 1: in opportunities because I say, what could this be when
- 16:02Speaker 1: I'm involved in it? Yeah, I think to say the opposite, G.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Because I think for how a lot of people do
- 16:09Speaker 2: is they're looking for like a quick payday or an
- 16:11Speaker 2: easy payday. They're not really realizing how much they're downselling
- 16:15Speaker 2: themselves when you say that. Because when you know what
- 16:18Speaker 2: you bring, you really do feel like you can go
- 16:20Speaker 2: into anything and change and bring impact. And when you
- 16:23Speaker 2: said this, first of all, I could relate so much, unfortunately,
- 16:25Speaker 2: to the depression comment about how you don't see any
- 16:27Speaker 2: value in yourself.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Because that's how I felt.
- 16:29Speaker 2: But I mean, Psalms 139.14 is so perfect for exactly
- 16:32Speaker 2: what you said. I praise you for I'm fearfully and
- 16:35Speaker 2: wonderfully made. wonderful are your works my soul knows it
- 16:39Speaker 2: very well david is literally saying like all your i'm
- 16:43Speaker 2: fearfully and wonderfully made and all your works are wonderful
- 16:46Speaker 2: so he's like recognizing the value he has because god
- 16:49Speaker 2: bestowed it on him and this is something i was
- 16:50Speaker 2: thinking about recently i think so often when we think
- 16:52Speaker 2: of value we think in terms of usefulness right we
- 16:55Speaker 2: think in terms of utility like oh well you know
- 16:58Speaker 2: i can sell this much for you in marketing just
- 17:01Speaker 2: using myself here like i can do this for you
- 17:02Speaker 2: in marketing and this is honestly how it works if
- 17:04Speaker 2: i'm generating millions of dollars for a company, my rates
- 17:07Speaker 2: are going to be healthy and it's going to end
- 17:10Speaker 2: up being a small percentage of what they actually make.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:12Speaker 2: And that's how we think. Now, when we get to God,
- 17:15Speaker 2: we still kind of go like, oh, what's my purpose?
- 17:17Speaker 2: I got to be useful to God. And we think
- 17:20Speaker 2: of it in utility and we have to realize there
- 17:23Speaker 2: is nothing you can do for God. Why did he
- 17:25Speaker 2: make you? You're about as useful to God as a
- 17:28Speaker 2: newborn baby is to us as human beings. it's actually
- 17:31Speaker 2: a newborn baby actually makes your life harder, right? It
- 17:33Speaker 2: doesn't actually add anything. You got to clean up after it.
- 17:36Speaker 1: You got to, you could say that you could say
- 17:37Speaker 1: the same for us, for God.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that, well, we are, we're, we're newborn babies that
- 17:42Speaker 2: never grow up. Like, you know, it's like, you know,
- 17:45Speaker 2: no one ever had kids going like, you know what,
- 17:46Speaker 2: one day they're going to be 12 and they'll be
- 17:48Speaker 2: able to empty my dishwasher and then it'll all pay off.
- 17:50Speaker 2: But that's how we approach God. And we don't realize
- 17:53Speaker 2: that God's the one who determines what's value. Like you said,
- 17:56Speaker 2: and we're loved because God loves us. We're created because
- 17:59Speaker 2: God loves us. Nothing can be earned. It can't be diminished.
- 18:03Speaker 2: You can't increase something that you never did anything to earn,
- 18:05Speaker 2: just like you can't diminish it. And so often we
- 18:08Speaker 2: approach God in that way. And when you realize that,
- 18:11Speaker 2: it's like, okay, now beware when you're talking down about somebody.
- 18:15Speaker 2: If you've ever looked at somebody and I'll just hold
- 18:16Speaker 2: my hand and say, I'm guilty. I'm like, man, that
- 18:17Speaker 2: person is useless.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 18:20Speaker 2: You may not see their value, but God's the one
- 18:22Speaker 2: who bestows all value. Like you really need to like
- 18:24Speaker 2: check about what you're saying, because that is a massive filter. Um,
- 18:27Speaker 2: there's a great scripture G when I'm talking about how
- 18:29Speaker 2: we don't actually bring anything to God and you may
- 18:31Speaker 2: be like, okay, that sounds cool, Nick, but where does
- 18:32Speaker 2: it say that?
- 18:33Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad you asked. It's Psalms 59.
- 18:34Speaker 2: It's Psalms 50 verses nine through 13 says, I will
- 18:38Speaker 2: not accept a bull from your house or goats from
- 18:41Speaker 2: your folds for every beast of the forest is mine.
- 18:43Speaker 2: The cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the
- 18:46Speaker 2: birds of the hills and all that moves in the
- 18:48Speaker 2: field is mine. If I were hungry, I would not
- 18:50Speaker 2: tell you for the world and its fullness are mine.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the
- 18:55Speaker 2: blood of goats? God's basically going like, what can you
- 18:57Speaker 2: do for me? Because we get hung up on the sacrifices.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Like I gave, you know, back then I gave him
- 19:01Speaker 2: a bull. Now it's like, well, I tied my money. Really?
- 19:05Speaker 2: That's like, if I go to Elon Musk and buy
- 19:07Speaker 2: him a $ 50 steak, he's going to be like, wow.
- 19:10Speaker 1: No, it's when your kids buy you a Father's Day
- 19:11Speaker 1: gift with your own money. Right. Yeah, for sure.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 19:14Speaker 1: So again, we're just talking about how to like, this
- 19:17Speaker 1: is the beginning of the conversation of trying to help
- 19:19Speaker 1: Explain it, help you understand, how do I see value? Well, okay,
- 19:22Speaker 1: the beginning of that is, if you don't see any
- 19:25Speaker 1: value in yourself, you're not gonna see value in anything else.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And then number two here is you have to understand
- 19:31Speaker 1: who is the source of value? Who's the author of
- 19:34Speaker 1: all value? God is the one who determines what's valuable, okay?
- 19:38Speaker 1: And so God created, he made us in his image.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's how you know what you're worth. You're worth quite
- 19:43Speaker 1: a bit. God made you in his image. So then
- 19:44Speaker 1: what did God do with Adam and Eve? Put Adam
- 19:46Speaker 1: in the garden and he said, Adam, work it and
- 19:48Speaker 1: keep it. That wasn't. forced labor, right? That wasn't like, hey,
- 19:52Speaker 1: I want you to stand here and just smash big
- 19:55Speaker 1: rocks into little rocks. He said, take care of this thing,
- 19:58Speaker 1: make it better, improve it, add your valuable, add value. Okay.
- 20:03Speaker 1: So the third piece here of how to see value. It's,
- 20:07Speaker 1: you got, you got to see it in yourself first.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You got to understand where value comes from, but then
- 20:11Speaker 1: that also turns into organizational, uh, organizational ability and creativity.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Cause that's what Adam did with the garden. He didn't say, Adam,
- 20:19Speaker 1: you know, just watch the grass grow and then cut
- 20:20Speaker 1: it back. It was more than that. Work it and
- 20:23Speaker 1: keep it. Do something with this. Make it into more.
- 20:26Speaker 1: If God wanted to make a garden that it was like,
- 20:29Speaker 1: this is perfect. The garden's made in my image. You
- 20:31Speaker 1: can't make it any better. God could have done that.
- 20:33Speaker 1: He didn't do that. He gave Adam the opportunity to
- 20:36Speaker 1: learn how to add value, right? So it's these three things.
- 20:39Speaker 1: You got to be able to see it in yourself
- 20:41Speaker 1: before you can see it in other places. And then
- 20:43Speaker 1: when you understand that God is the author of value,
- 20:45Speaker 1: and then you realize why he made you, and what
- 20:48Speaker 1: those abilities are, the ability to create, the ability to build,
- 20:52Speaker 1: to organize and structure things, then you realize, okay, I'm
- 20:55Speaker 1: here to add value. Now I can see what this
- 20:57Speaker 1: thing is really worth. I see what it could be.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I think it's so incredible that in the course
- 21:03Speaker 2: of history, this literally dawned on me today, because I
- 21:06Speaker 2: think because we started this early this morning, over and
- 21:08Speaker 2: over again, God steps in, makes something, and then just goes,
- 21:11Speaker 2: all right, let's see what you're going to do with it.
- 21:13Speaker 2: He did it with Adam in the garden. He did
- 21:14Speaker 2: it with Moses and the Israelites with the old covenant.
- 21:17Speaker 2: And then Jesus literally comes to the earth, establishes a
- 21:20Speaker 2: new covenant, gets his forgiveness of sins and goes, okay,
- 21:22Speaker 2: go off and make disciples. And like, when you realize
- 21:25Speaker 2: that that pattern of God's going to give you something
- 21:28Speaker 2: and it's yours to bring value to, that's what you're
- 21:30Speaker 2: saying about how you see value. Because now you start
- 21:32Speaker 2: to realize every single thing you have has been given
- 21:34Speaker 2: to you, right? There's not one thing that we've received
- 21:36Speaker 2: that hasn't been given to us. And the hallmark of
- 21:39Speaker 2: a good steward is that you increase, that you bring increase,
- 21:42Speaker 2: that you bring growth.
- 21:43Speaker 1: And so when you start looking at it like.
- 21:44Speaker 2: That, it's like, oh man, now my whole life, I'm
- 21:47Speaker 2: looking around and going like, okay, there's value in everything.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Am I increasing my family? Am I increasing my marriage?
- 21:53Speaker 2: Am I increasing the clients that I work with? I'm
- 21:55Speaker 2: just speaking for myself. Am I increasing my physical health? Gee,
- 21:58Speaker 2: am I increasing, I'm looking at every single area that
- 22:00Speaker 2: I'm around. I'm like, how do I bring value into
- 22:02Speaker 2: every single thing that I do? It's a completely different
- 22:05Speaker 2: way of living, man. But there's some things.
- 22:07Speaker 1: That help you. Like we talked about, you talked about
- 22:10Speaker 1: those three things. Yeah, that's the big pieces. That's the
- 22:13Speaker 1: big pieces. Like you got to understand that this is
- 22:15Speaker 1: how you see value. Okay, see it in yourself. Know
- 22:18Speaker 1: that God made you in his image, that he's the
- 22:21Speaker 1: author of value. And then, okay, so I got to
- 22:23Speaker 1: add value, right? I'm going to add value through some
- 22:26Speaker 1: organization creativity, but this is kind of a simple understanding.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Let me be more specific of how you can add
- 22:32Speaker 1: value because that's really what value is. is it's making
- 22:35Speaker 1: something better. It's expanding the kingdom of God. Again, if
- 22:38Speaker 1: you don't think you're worth anything, remember what we said
- 22:40Speaker 1: at the beginning, if you don't think you're worth anything,
- 22:43Speaker 1: you look at everything else and you don't think it's
- 22:44Speaker 1: really worth anything. When you realize who you are, I'm
- 22:48Speaker 1: here to make things better. You see great value in something.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And so here's the ways that you can add value
- 22:54Speaker 1: and really the structures that you have to see value
- 22:58Speaker 1: in something else. So the first one, is knowledge. And
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'll talk more spiritually and specifically about this in a second.
- 23:04Speaker 1: But again, the Tom Brady example is a great example
- 23:08Speaker 1: of how knowledge shows you the value. If you don't
- 23:11Speaker 1: know who Tom Brady is, Tom Brady's jersey is a
- 23:14Speaker 1: mechanic's rag to you. But when you understand who Tom
- 23:17Speaker 1: Brady is, now that I have this knowledge, I go,
- 23:20Speaker 1: oh man, this is really worth something. When you have
- 23:23Speaker 1: the knowledge of why people are successful, when you have
- 23:27Speaker 1: the knowledge of temperaments, when you have the knowledge of
- 23:30Speaker 1: of skill set development in a person, then you can
- 23:33Speaker 1: look at somebody and say, I know what makes someone successful.
- 23:36Speaker 1: It's not about where you came from. I know why
- 23:39Speaker 1: you'll succeed. And you can choose talent. It's Moneyball, right?
- 23:43Speaker 1: They got the data. They got knowledge that nobody else had.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And they said, we see value that nobody else sees.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Right. I mean, that's the first thing you guys did
- 23:51Speaker 2: on all your missions, right? You made sure you had intel.
- 23:53Speaker 2: You didn't go in blind. And I think we underestimate
- 23:55Speaker 2: how valuable knowledge is because we live in the information age.
- 24:00Speaker 2: there's a difference between reading something on a screen and
- 24:03Speaker 2: actually having true, like working knowledge of it. And we're
- 24:06Speaker 2: talking about, I would say Logos knowledge here when we
- 24:08Speaker 2: talk about this, if you're a New Testament scholar.
- 24:12Speaker 1: All right, G, what else? That's knowledge of a specific industry.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And I would say, I would tell you also, you
- 24:17Speaker 1: can take it or leave it on this one. I'll
- 24:19Speaker 1: just keep telling you it works and you can try
- 24:21Speaker 1: it or not. But when you understand who God is
- 24:25Speaker 1: and you understand the way that his kingdom works, this
- 24:27Speaker 1: is a knowledge base. that transfers to every single domain, right?
- 24:31Speaker 1: When you understand him, how, how am I able to
- 24:34Speaker 1: take scripture and apply it to all these other areas, right?
- 24:37Speaker 1: Why don't you get to know him first and you'll
- 24:39Speaker 1: see for yourself. But the second piece is when you
- 24:42Speaker 1: begin to build on knowledge or what you do with
- 24:44Speaker 1: knowledge is that's wisdom and pattern recognition. Okay. So it's
- 24:47Speaker 1: not just having the information, but it's knowing what, what
- 24:50Speaker 1: to do with something when, you know, that's looking at
- 24:53Speaker 1: the piece of dirt and you have the, you can
- 24:56Speaker 1: have the market data on here's what it's worth. You
- 24:58Speaker 1: could have the market data on, you know, here's what
- 25:01Speaker 1: you could do with it, but then you have to
- 25:03Speaker 1: know how to use it and apply it. And that's
- 25:05Speaker 1: really what wisdom is. It's the simple application of knowledge.
- 25:08Speaker 1: And that's also pattern recognition. Wisdom is what allows you
- 25:13Speaker 1: to see something where, I mean, this is every parable
- 25:16Speaker 1: that I've referenced in the New Testament where Jesus says
- 25:18Speaker 1: the kingdom of heaven is like this. He's saying, if
- 25:21Speaker 1: you can understand this little thing, you'll understand all these
- 25:24Speaker 1: other things. That's called pattern recognition. And when you understand wisdom,
- 25:29Speaker 1: when you understand pattern recognition, you don't have to say,
- 25:32Speaker 1: this looks exactly like what I've seen before. You can
- 25:35Speaker 1: look at something and say, this is similar to what
- 25:37Speaker 1: I've seen before. This works the way other things have
- 25:40Speaker 1: worked before. I may have never encountered this item, but
- 25:43Speaker 1: because it's like this, I already know how it works.
- 25:46Speaker 1: How valuable is it to walk into places you've never
- 25:49Speaker 1: been and already know what's going to happen? That's the
- 25:51Speaker 1: value of wisdom and pattern recognition. It's not the ability
- 25:54Speaker 1: to predict the future, but you can get really really
- 25:58Speaker 1: close to, I may not know exactly what's going to happen,
- 26:01Speaker 1: but I have a really good idea of what's going
- 26:03Speaker 1: to happen. Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 2: And if you're wondering how to grow in wisdom, I'm
- 26:06Speaker 2: glad you asked. Read the proverb of the day. There's
- 26:08Speaker 2: 31 chapters of Proverbs. Some months have 31. And then
- 26:11Speaker 2: also from Proverbs, walk with the wise and become wise.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Like when you get around wise people, it's amazing how
- 26:18Speaker 2: that rubs off on you. Just like if you hang
- 26:20Speaker 2: out with angry people or small minded people, it's going
- 26:22Speaker 2: to rub off on you. I mean, that's a simple
- 26:24Speaker 2: way to grow in wisdom is just getting around other
- 26:26Speaker 2: wise people So we got knowledge, we got wisdom.
- 26:28Speaker 1: What else we got? Building on knowledge and wisdom is vision. Okay.
- 26:37Speaker 1: My vision statement, feel free to take this one, use
- 26:39Speaker 1: it wherever you want to use it. Wouldn't it be
- 26:42Speaker 1: great if, you know, I was just, I just had
- 26:44Speaker 1: the army in our factory here at Union and I
- 26:47Speaker 1: might have used that phrase. Wouldn't it be great if,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and I started to explain to them, here's how the
- 26:51Speaker 1: industrial base could be stronger. Here's how it could be better.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Here's how we can answer what the Pentagon's core question is.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I said, wouldn't it be great if, and I described
- 27:00Speaker 1: a world for them that's way better than the one
- 27:01Speaker 1: we're currently living in. I see the value in how
- 27:05Speaker 1: we could take a bunch of busted old assets and
- 27:07Speaker 1: make them super powerful, how we can stop losing to
- 27:09Speaker 1: our adversaries. And it started with a simple phrase of
- 27:12Speaker 1: wouldn't it be great if, and it's vision. I see
- 27:15Speaker 1: what it could be. You've got to be able to
- 27:17Speaker 1: imagine a world that doesn't exist yet. This is creativity,
- 27:22Speaker 1: but it's also based upon knowledge and pattern recognition, right?
- 27:27Speaker 1: I'm able to pattern recognize from some other softwares and technologies.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm able to pattern recognize from history. I'm able to
- 27:35Speaker 1: pattern recognize from Pentagon signals. And I'm able to say,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I already know this is going to be the future.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Let me tell you about it. And we'd like to
- 27:42Speaker 1: be the ones who take you there.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Now, I want to just encourage people as well. The
- 27:46Speaker 2: ultimate visionary is God. What I will tell you, man,
- 27:50Speaker 2: any intelligent pattern that I've got in my life is
- 27:53Speaker 2: either something that I've learned from other people or that
- 27:56Speaker 2: God's revealed to me in his word. you know, I
- 27:59Speaker 2: have a high degree of confidence in a lot of
- 28:00Speaker 2: things that I'm doing right now. Not because I'm like,
- 28:03Speaker 2: I know the future or because I'm so great, but
- 28:05Speaker 2: because when you get into the word of God and
- 28:07Speaker 2: you get to know your father and you walk with God,
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm telling you, man, things will jump off the pages
- 28:12Speaker 2: and stuff just starts making sense to you. And you're like, Oh,
- 28:14Speaker 2: of course it's what you said earlier about like, when
- 28:17Speaker 2: you know the author of value, you begin to see value.
- 28:20Speaker 2: And man, I just, I want to encourage everybody. If
- 28:22Speaker 2: you're going like, well, I'm not a very visionary person
- 28:24Speaker 2: and I don't know about all this stuff. get in
- 28:26Speaker 2: the word, seek, seek God. I promise you, I can't
- 28:29Speaker 2: like give you the one, two, three step process of
- 28:31Speaker 2: do it for three months and this will happen. But
- 28:33Speaker 2: what I can tell you is you'll start reading and
- 28:35Speaker 2: stuff will just make sense. It's how the Holy spirit works.
- 28:37Speaker 2: And when that happens, pay attention because you're getting trained
- 28:40Speaker 2: in what God's voice sounds like. So I just want
- 28:41Speaker 2: to encourage people there.
- 28:42Speaker 1: All right, Jesus.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Remember, these are the things that help you see it.
- 28:44Speaker 1: So knowledge, wisdom, vision. When you have, when you have knowledge,
- 28:48Speaker 1: Tom Brady's jersey. Okay. I see more value. When I
- 28:51Speaker 1: have wisdom and pattern recognition, I see how things are
- 28:53Speaker 1: going to work. I see value where some people it's,
- 28:56Speaker 1: it's a, it's a stock, right? People that all this
- 28:58Speaker 1: thing is worthless. Look at the price. Well, if you
- 29:01Speaker 1: understand the markets, you go, I know where this is going.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I see value vision. I have the ability to see future,
- 29:06Speaker 1: to create something, to turn a piece of wood, to
- 29:08Speaker 1: turn a dirt, to turn dirt, to turn industry or
- 29:11Speaker 1: a business into something that's better. And here's the last thing.
- 29:14Speaker 1: This is when you have this, right? When you have
- 29:16Speaker 1: these things, it helps you see value. And here's the
- 29:19Speaker 1: great one. The knowledge, the wisdom, vision, they all turn
- 29:22Speaker 1: into this, which is agency. Agency is looking at a
- 29:26Speaker 1: situation and say, well, you know what? Everywhere I go,
- 29:29Speaker 1: there I am. This is better because I'm here. Instead
- 29:32Speaker 1: of looking at a situation or an item or a
- 29:34Speaker 1: person or whatever it is, instead of saying, is this valuable?
- 29:38Speaker 1: You begin to ask, what is it valuable when I'm here?
- 29:41Speaker 1: Could I make this more valuable? What could it be
- 29:43Speaker 1: if I get involved in it? And if you ever
- 29:45Speaker 1: want to have great things of value, you want to
- 29:48Speaker 1: build great things of value, they're not going to fall
- 29:50Speaker 1: on your head. If you want to build a great business,
- 29:53Speaker 1: if you want to sell great product, if you want
- 29:55Speaker 1: to work with great people, if you want to hire
- 29:57Speaker 1: great talent, if you want to acquire value, and you should,
- 30:00Speaker 1: you should want to build, you should want to use
- 30:02Speaker 1: the resources that God has given you and do something
- 30:05Speaker 1: with it. What did the one talent servant do? He says, master,
- 30:08Speaker 1: I was afraid. I knew you to be a hard
- 30:11Speaker 1: man here. Take what's yours. He was a coward and
- 30:13Speaker 1: he was afraid to do the work, right? But what
- 30:16Speaker 1: did the other talents or what did the other servants do?
- 30:18Speaker 1: they multiply their talents. You're called to multiply. You should
- 30:22Speaker 1: want to multiply. And when you have this understanding of
- 30:26Speaker 1: value and you have the knowledge, when you have the wisdom,
- 30:28Speaker 1: when you have a vision for what's possible in your
- 30:30Speaker 1: specific lane, the hill that God's given you to govern,
- 30:34Speaker 1: to add value in, this turns into agency. And you say,
- 30:37Speaker 1: look how valuable this could be because of the knowledge,
- 30:40Speaker 1: because of the wisdom, because of the vision I have,
- 30:42Speaker 1: I can turn this into more.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that, man. Now, real quick to you,
- 30:46Speaker 2: because we wouldn't be the impossible life if we didn't
- 30:48Speaker 2: do this. I want to give you two things that
- 30:50Speaker 2: keep you from seeing value. And because we touched on
- 30:54Speaker 2: being lazy and what you just gave about agency. I
- 30:57Speaker 2: don't think many people would say that if you don't
- 30:58Speaker 2: have agency, you're lazy, but that's exactly what you're saying.
- 31:01Speaker 2: What keeps you from seeing value is number one, pain tolerance.
- 31:05Speaker 2: If you spend all your time running away from pain,
- 31:07Speaker 2: you're never going to know the value of anything because
- 31:09Speaker 2: guess what? It's not going to feel good to work
- 31:11Speaker 2: hard all the time. You're going to be sick. You're
- 31:13Speaker 2: not going to feel like it.
- 31:14Speaker 1: It's going to be confusing. It's going to be frustrating.
- 31:16Speaker 2: People are going to treat you wrong.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It's going to be harder than you think.
- 31:18Speaker 2: And so if you're a constant person that's running from pain,
- 31:21Speaker 2: you'll never see the value because, and these two go together,
- 31:24Speaker 2: you'll be price focused. And that's what you said at
- 31:26Speaker 2: the beginning when people think transactionally. So many, I think
- 31:29Speaker 2: this is a hallmark of a poverty mindset is you're
- 31:31Speaker 2: only focused on the price that's paid There's a great
- 31:33Speaker 2: quote from Oscar Wilde that says, a cynic knows the
- 31:35Speaker 2: price of everything and the value of nothing. But I
- 31:38Speaker 2: hope you guys are realizing we're called to be those
- 31:41Speaker 2: who know God, who understand that we're valuable, who understand
- 31:43Speaker 2: what he values. And as we grow closer to him,
- 31:46Speaker 2: we start to value what he values. And we understand
- 31:48Speaker 2: that he's put us on this earth to make an impact,
- 31:50Speaker 2: to make a change, that everywhere we go, we bring
- 31:53Speaker 2: the value of the kingdom of God into that room.
- 31:55Speaker 2: And through knowledge, through wisdom, through vision, and through an
- 31:58Speaker 2: understanding that we are there to make the change, we
- 32:00Speaker 2: make everything more valuable.
- 32:02Speaker 1: So go do it.
