  Speaker 1: and it's time right now. More little encouragement than we

  Speaker 1: call today's word. Having the heart of Christ, Philippians two

  Speaker 1: five through eight says you must have the same attitude
• 0:17
  Speaker 1: that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead,
• 0:25
  Speaker 1: he gave up his divine privileges. He took the humble
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: position of a slave and was born as a human being.

  Speaker 1: When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: obedience to God and died a criminal's death on the cross.

  Speaker 1: That's Philippians two five through eight in the New Living Translation.

  Speaker 1: Before y'all call me listen, Jesus Christ modeled a servant's

  Speaker 1: attitude that overflowed with joy. He had all the power

  Speaker 1: in the world. Think about that. He was the most

  Speaker 1: influential man who ever lived. Yet on the night before
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: he was betrayed, the night before he was tried and
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: even crucified, he took a towel, bowed down, and washed
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: his disciples feet. Now he could have asked any one
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: of his disciples, and they would have done it for
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: him without question. He could have called in angel and said, hey,
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: do me a favor, wash their feets. I don't want
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: to deal with it today. That's beneath me. Instead, Jesus
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: humbly washed their feet one by one. He gave us
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: his example of servants to others, so that we would
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: know we're never too important to be good to people
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: to serve others. We are never too successful or too
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: high to bow down low and serve another person. Jesus
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: said that if you want to be a great person
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: in the Kingdom of God, you've got to have a
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: servant's heart. The more you walk in humility, the more
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: willing you are to serve others, the higher God can
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: take you. As you lift others, God will lift you.

  Speaker 1: We must all have the heart of Christ if we
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: truly want to be like him. Oh Father God, thank
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: you that Jesus was willing to come to earth as
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: a man, and then to humble himself even further by
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: becoming obedient to the point of death. Help us God
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: to humbly come to you and humble ourselves and have
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: the same heart as Jesus. We want to walk in
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: humility and lift others up. In Jesus' name, that's your
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: word for today. I want you to take that apply
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: it to your everyday life, and you continue to be
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: encouraged and inspired. It's early morning praise party. I am
