Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Mega Edition: Vicky Ward And Her 2003 Profile Of Jeffrey Epstein (7/11/26)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Day. What we're going to talk about on the podcast,
- 0:04Taking Advantage is something that this lady is pretty good at, honestly,
- 0:09And I'm referring to Vicky Ward. Now I don't know
- 0:14her personally, right, I've never met her, none of that stuff.
- 0:18So my opinions of her are based on her work
- 0:22and whatnot, not on her personally, because again I don't
- 0:25really know her. I never met her or anything like that.
- 0:27But the things that we have seen throughout this case
- 0:32that she's been involved in are straight up disgusting. That
- 0:38puff piece that Vanity Fair pumped out in two thousand
- 0:41and two is just the krem de la creme of ridiculousness.
- 0:48And I know that she wants to put it all
- 0:50on grad and Carter right like it was all Graden
- 0:52Carter's decision. But why didn't Vicky Ward just call an
- 0:56audible and bring it to somebody else to publish. Call
- 1:00Matt Judge, call whoever, bring it to your local news station,
- 1:08Call one of your colleagues. Being a journalist, there's a
- 1:14lot of responsibility with that. In my opinion, I think
- 1:16that you need to be held to a higher standard,
- 1:19and unfortunately we never do that. It seems like our
- 1:22journalists are allowed to, you know, move around in the
- 1:25scum and nobody ever calls them out, and they go
- 1:29around pumping all sorts of bs, nonsense, lies, garbage, propaganda.
- 1:35Nobody calls them out, they're proven wrong, and then people
- 1:38continue to listen to them. So it just boggles my
- 1:41mind that people would invest so much in these news personalities,
- 1:46in these talking heads, when we all know that they're
- 1:49not real journalists, they're not real newsmen. They're there to
- 1:52throw red meat to the base. And Vicky Ward was
- 1:56just another one to go along to get along, right,
- 2:00long as I have my push gig, as long as
- 2:02my paycheck keeps coming in, Who cares if Jeffrey Epstein's
- 2:05an absolute disgusting predator. It's not my decision. Graydon Carter
- 2:08made that decision. Notice how everybody just pumps it off right.
- 2:12Nobody ever wants to take responsibility. No nobody ever says, hey,
- 2:15look the buck stops here. It's always somebody else's fault. Well,
- 2:20guess what, Vicky Ward, You're not getting off that easy.
- 2:23In my opinion, you played a huge part in dropping
- 2:26this smoke screen over Epstein, and no amount of interviews
- 2:31or podcasts are ever going to change that. In my opinion,
- 2:34you had a chance to stop this shit, or at
- 2:36the very least put the brakes to it, and you failed.
- 2:39That's the way I see it, all right. So today
- 2:45we have an article from the Daily Mail, and obviously
- 2:48it's about Vicky Ward and the Venomous Epstein tapes. We'll
- 2:53get to those in a little while. Headline the Venomous
- 2:56Epstein Tapes. When Vicky Ward investigated Jeffrey Epstein, he tried
- 3:01to charm her, then threatened to get her sacked and
- 3:05put a curse on her unborn children. But she recorded
- 3:09it at all, and what she reveals about Glene Maxwell
- 3:13is shocking. Yeah, okay, sure, not trying to be a
- 3:17dick here or anything, but Vicky Ward really hasn't contributed
- 3:21much to this whole entire thing. Right now, all of
- 3:23a sudden, she has a new podcast out two years
- 3:27after Epstein's arrest, two years after everybody you know that's
- 3:31in the world of independent content creation or independent journalism
- 3:35has already laid the case out for you with all
- 3:37of their thousands of hours of work. Now you have
- 3:40a podcast. Now you're showing up to the party now
- 3:43you're looking to cash in. Must be nice. Must be
- 3:46nice to have a bunch of shitbag friends in the
- 3:49legacy media to carry water for you. No worries, Vicky.
- 3:53We'll lay all the building blocks and you can just
- 3:55you know, swoop in and snatch whatever you need and
- 3:59go ahead and rich your soon a little bit more.
- 4:03This article was authored by Vicky Ward. Gawaine. Maxwell and
- 4:09I crossed paths soon after I moved to New York
- 4:12in nineteen ninety seven. Though she was a few years
- 4:15older than me, we were both English Oxbridge educated and
- 4:19would sometimes be invited to the same parties. She was
- 4:23pinned thin, expensively dressed, funny, fun clever, worldly, and the
- 4:29effortless center of attention. Shocking, right, So for them here
- 4:34in America, we're used to, you know, the elite going
- 4:37to like Harvard together, right. Oh he went to Harvard,
- 4:41eh from the Harvard Well in England, it's the same thing,
- 4:45but it's Oxford. Oh I am Oxford educated. So right away,
- 4:50you know, Vicky Ward is already moving in them circles.
- 4:54She's already moving with the so called elite. Guess what
- 4:58breaking news Like you and I who didn't go to
- 5:02Oxford who didn't go to Harvard. We're not invited to
- 5:05these parties unless we're the hired help. Unless you want
- 5:08a catering company, or you own a company that's gonna
- 5:12come in and set the chairs and tables up. Barring that,
- 5:17we are not invited to the same parties or functions
- 5:20that Vicky Ward and Gallaine Maxwell were moving at. She
- 5:27talked about sex a lot, and she liked to behave outrageously.
- 5:31During one Manhattan dinner I heard about, she told a
- 5:34British movie star to live face down on the floor.
- 5:37She jumped on his back and gave him a massage
- 5:39right there on the ground in front of everyone, even
- 5:43as people laughed. One observer wondered if what she was
- 5:46doing was not inappropriate. Oh yeah, you wondered if it
- 5:50was not inappropriate? Breaking news? All right, You're not supposed
- 5:53to lay your friend down at a restaurant and jump
- 5:56on their back and massage theom. Okay, normal people don't
- 5:59do that. I mean, maybe if you're rolling on some
- 6:01ecstasy that's acceptable. But barring that, I highly doubt that
- 6:07anyone finds it normal for somebody to get thrown on
- 6:11the ground and a massage tossed on them in the
- 6:14middle of a restaurant. You want a massage to meet
- 6:16in the restaurant, folks, massage the tenderloin. Usually she was
- 6:24by herself. I had no idea whether or not she
- 6:27had a boyfriend. That's because she didn't have a boyfriend. Okay,
- 6:29Jeffrey Man, I don't know how many times I gotta
- 6:32drill this one home. Jeffrey Epstein and Glaine Maxwell, we're
- 6:35not boyfriend and girlfriend in the traditional sense. You want
- 6:39to get a better idea of their relationship and kind
- 6:42of a handle on how they rolled. Just go and
- 6:45watch the show the Americans and look how the family
- 6:48was put together by the intelligence apparatus and how they
- 6:53played their part. Because in my opinion, that's the same
- 6:55exact deal with Glaine and Jeffrey Epstein. There was never
- 6:59no life there. It was all fabricated and it was
- 7:04set in motion by, you know, the people that were
- 7:07handling them. Certainly, wasn't this love story where these two
- 7:11passing boats met in the night. Give me a break
- 7:15with that, BS. But then in the autumn of two
- 7:20thousand and two, I was assigned to write an article
- 7:23for Vanity Fair magazine, about an intriguing and very rich
- 7:27man called Jeffrey Epstein. I soon discovered that Galaine had
- 7:31had a complicated relationship with Epstein for over a decade.
- 7:35Oh yeah, you had learned. Huh. Now, all of a sudden,
- 7:39you're coming out with all your information. Huh. There, Vicky Ward.
- 7:45You know, there aren't many members of the media that
- 7:51I think fumbled the ball more than Vicky Ward when
- 7:55it comes to this story. I had a chance to
- 8:00put the brakes on this. Folks. Remember that. Always keep
- 8:03that in the back of your mind. Hell, keep that
- 8:05in the front of your mind when you're reading anything
- 8:07from her, or she's pumping some new podcasts she wants
- 8:10you to listen to. Just remember who you're dealing with.
- 8:16They didn't live together, I was told. Some sources claim
- 8:20she worked for him, although Epstein later denied this. He
- 8:24insisted they were not romantically involved, instead telling me she
- 8:28was his best friend and that was the Epstein line
- 8:32in all of this. Right. So again, when people talk
- 8:35about how Maxwell and Epstein were like this couple and
- 8:39how you know they were together boyfriend and girlfriend, it
- 8:43just falls on deaf years to me because it's just
- 8:48not fitting with reality. Of who these two are, right,
- 8:55these people are in it for them, And when you're
- 8:57in a relationship, you can't just be all about you, right,
- 9:03Not in a relationship that's gonna work. You have to
- 9:06be willing to give it up. You have to be
- 9:08willing to do things you don't want to do, believe me,
- 9:11and you're gonna have to do things that you probably
- 9:15would never ever do otherwise. When you love somebody, that's
- 9:19what happens. This was not a love story. This wasn't
- 9:23two people who met and fell in love and then
- 9:27were apart and then came back together in a field
- 9:30running towards each other and a big hug and a meadow. No,
- 9:34this wasn't some love story. Don't try and paint this
- 9:36shit as that. This is two scoundrels, scummy, smarmy sons
- 9:40of bitches, getting together to kick off a criminal enterprise,
- 9:44no different than al Chopo and al Mio. Folks. Okay,
- 9:52what struck me as strange was that at the start
- 9:55of my reporting, I'd bumped into Gallane at a friend's
- 9:58baby shower, and when I'm he mentioned I was writing
- 10:01this article, she started to cry. Okay, again, I don't
- 10:07really know one way or the other what that even means.
- 10:11So you're writing an article and Gleane Maxwell started to cry, Okay,
- 10:16Vicky Ward, you're so intimidating that Gallaine Maxwell was so
- 10:20scared of you writing a puff piece that's gonna pump
- 10:23Jeffrey Epstein's tires. But she started to cry give me
- 10:27a prick. At the time. I put it down to
- 10:32how unequal their relationship seemed. I'd heard she loved him
- 10:36and he did not love her back. She wanted to
- 10:38marry him and have children's sources told me, though she
- 10:42had insisted otherwise. Meanwhile, he wanted to say single and
- 10:46sleep with many other women, which he certainly did women.
- 10:50Huh oh, yeah, I'm sure he slept with a couple
- 10:52of women. But you mean teenagers, right, that's really what
- 10:55you mean, because that's his thing, that's what he preferred.
- 10:58Vicky Ward, even in this piece, can't go all the way.
- 11:01Even in this piece, she can't bring herself to stop
- 11:03pumping his tires and go all out and call him
- 11:06what he was. And that's the biggest problem with these cowards.
- 11:12They're so worried about their big time career and their
- 11:16sixty million dollars contract. By the way, why are they
- 11:19getting that much money to sit on the TV talk
- 11:23shit and divide the country more? Sure, your guys are
- 11:27doing a great job. Here's sixty more million. These people
- 11:30should be making sixty five grand a year tops. And
- 11:33Vicky Ward and the rest of the scoundrels that were
- 11:36laid cover fire for Epstein for all of these years.
- 11:39You are some of the worst of the worst. And Glane,
- 11:47according to the sources, put up with this. They presumed
- 11:50because Epstein could provide her with the same lavish lifestyles
- 11:53she'd grown up with as the daughter of the late
- 11:56crooked media mogul Robert Maxwell. So that's the narrative that
- 12:00they want pushed. So that's the narrative that they put
- 12:02out there. I'm not buying it. You all know. Here
- 12:05on this podcast, we're gonna challenge the narrative. Oh yeah,
- 12:11Ballayne Maxwell. Of all the guys in the world that
- 12:13had money, it was Jeffrey Epstein that she had to
- 12:16go be with, right because he was so rich. She
- 12:18couldn't find somebody in England. Her boy Prince Andrew couldn't
- 12:21have hooked her up. Give me a break, man, How
- 12:24can anyone honestly buy that BS. I don't know. I
- 12:30see right through it. There's no way that the narrative
- 12:33they're pitching about Maxwell and Epstein being in love and
- 12:39Maxwell wanting to be with Epstein forever, none of that
- 12:42shit's real. Okay, that's a fantasy. It's as much of
- 12:45a fantasy as Game of Thrones in my opinion. After
- 12:52his bizarre death in nineteen ninety one, Robert's children, two
- 12:55of whom were accused but cleared of aiding their father's crime,
- 12:59were left, at least officially more or less penniless. So
- 13:03Epstein looked after Glaine financially in return for her introduction,
- 13:08introducing him to the glitterati. That was the mythology. Yeah, no, shit, mythology.
- 13:14That's exactly what it was and is. And you're welcome,
- 13:19Vicky Ward and the rest of the scumbag legacy media
- 13:24morons out there who pilfer the work of independent content creators.
- 13:31Because if it wasn't for independent content creators, independent journalists,
- 13:36none of this story would ever even be out there.
- 13:38Vicky Ward would still be counting her millions and yucking
- 13:41it up with her high society friends. Ghlaine, Maxwell would
- 13:44still be moving around in them circles. Jean Luke Burnell
- 13:48wouldn't even be in jail. So Vicky Ward and the
- 13:54rest of these mainstream legacy media outlets that want to
- 13:58jump on board and act like they're getting credit for
- 14:00something here, well they're not going to find themselves doing
- 14:07that without choppy waters in their way, because they didn't
- 14:11olay the foundation for this shit. In fact, they've played
- 14:17a part of making this harder. In fact, with all
- 14:21of their power, all of their resources, all of their connections,
- 14:24they could have blown this Epstein story out of the
- 14:26water in two thousand and two, Vicky Ward, But you didn't.
- 14:35But when I tore aed Epstein's house in two thousand
- 14:37and two, eleven years after Robert Maxwell's death, there were
- 14:40photos everywhere of another ex girlfriend, former Miss Sweden, Ava
- 14:46Anderson Dubin, but none that I saw as best friend Galaine.
- 14:50Well that's because she was not his best friend. They
- 14:53were business associates, okay, And you don't put pictures of
- 14:57your business associates up on the wall unless you're trying
- 14:59to loss, like he was with Clinton. I asked him
- 15:04about this, and he brushed it aside, saying there were
- 15:06lots of photos of lots of people in the house.
- 15:09My two thousand and two article was on Epstein's money.
- 15:12No one knew how he'd become so rich. He lived
- 15:15in what he said was Manhattan's biggest private townhouse, a
- 15:19nine story mansion. He had a huge ranch in New
- 15:22Mexico and Island in the Caribbean, and his own Boeing
- 15:26seven twenty seven on which he had recently flown Bill
- 15:29Clinton to Africa. And you know, you would think that
- 15:33that would be a whole lot more of an issue, right.
- 15:38I really wish that the legacy media and the people
- 15:42that loved to protect a certain class here in this
- 15:45country would get on board. Don't you think Bill Clinton
- 15:49deserves as much scrutiny, as much derision as the other
- 15:54people in this case. But somehow the legacy media and
- 15:58a whole group of people who claim, oh, we're not biased,
- 16:04still sit around and protect Clinton. It's like the raccoons
- 16:07in the trash can folks sitting around and they're like, look,
- 16:10stay away from our garbage. I just don't understand it.
- 16:13I really don't understand it. Adding to the mystery, he
- 16:19rarely went out, it was said instead that wealthy and
- 16:23powerful people came to him. He claimed to manage the
- 16:26fortunes of billionaires. And that's another funky thing, right that
- 16:30should have rang alarm bells. This dude holds court in
- 16:35his town house, doesn't really go to anybody else. Has
- 16:37everybody come to him? All these rich and powerful people,
- 16:40not only do they come to him, they stay and
- 16:42they talk and I'm guessing end up with a profile
- 16:47on themselves. Compromise. He wanted them all to come to
- 16:51his house so he could film everything, so we can
- 16:53keep a record of everything, so that he could hand
- 16:56off this information to his handlers for a p and
- 17:00keep the operation moving. That is the assumption I'm working on. Okay,
- 17:07that's where I see this case. Our numerous phone calls
- 17:14as we arranged the interview, which was to be off
- 17:17the record, meaning I couldn't quote him, had shown me
- 17:20I was dealing with a mercurial control freak. Oh yeah,
- 17:24So because he set those terms you couldn't quote him.
- 17:28I would have walked right out of the room right then.
- 17:30All right, so this isn't a real interview. What are
- 17:32we doing here? Why am I wasting my time with you?
- 17:34I'm not writing a puff piece. But yet she stayed.
- 17:37She wrote the article, she peddled it, and then when
- 17:42the card started to fall down, passed the buck. Blamed
- 17:45Graydon Carter, and he was true to form. He made
- 17:53a point of eating the sandwiches laid out for his
- 17:55tea one by one without offering me anything, despite the
- 17:59fact that I was pregnant. Ah, Poor Vicky Ward, she
- 18:03didn't get a little sandwich offered to her. You didn't
- 18:06get a half a sangwich offer to you, Vicky Ward.
- 18:10Maybe he didn't want to give you any of his
- 18:11coal cuts. Maybe Jeffrey Epstein wanted to eat all of
- 18:15the boarshead turkey himself that day. But poor Vicky Ward,
- 18:19she didn't get a sandwich. He had also left out
- 18:23a copy of a lurid book by the notorious French libertine,
- 18:26the Marquis de Sade for me to notice on his desk.
- 18:30Whole whoa symbolism. He left a book out on his desk.
- 18:34Man Vicky Ward's shush please. I don't even understand what
- 18:38sort of profiles she's trying to build with that kind
- 18:40of stuff. Nobody cares, all right, nobody cares. We spoke
- 18:45for some time, and I left. Afterwards. Weirdly, his assistant
- 18:49phoned me to tell me he thought I was pretty
- 18:51A messenger delivered a book to me at home. At
- 18:54my home address, Maths for Dummies, I told Epstein, I
- 18:58hadn't studied math since I was fourteen. Oh, how cute.
- 19:02So since you were not so great in math, you're good, buddy,
- 19:05Jeffrey Epstein sent you a Math for Dummies book. Ah,
- 19:09isn't that nice, Vicky Ward? What you really needed is
- 19:12a journalism for dummies book. Then, even more uncomfortably, he
- 19:18began to bombard me with phone calls. These went on
- 19:21daily for months. From their tone, alternately smarmy and bullying,
- 19:26I knew he was hiding something. I just didn't know what.
- 19:30He wasn't remotely charming or funny. He was deeply misogynistic,
- 19:35from a terrible joke about his desire to see his
- 19:38female staff only wearing Prada bikinis in his New York
- 19:41house even in winter, to telling me he enjoyed being
- 19:45surrounded by women because he'd liked elegant things. So what
- 19:53are you trying to tell us here, Vicky Ward? That
- 19:55we don't know? We know that Jeffrey Epstein had chess
- 19:58pieces carved into the likeness of his staff topless, so
- 20:06the fact that he wanted people to wear Prada bikinis
- 20:09at his townouts is supposed to be something that's groundbreaking
- 20:12for us here. Furthermore, that should have told you all
- 20:16you needed to know about him. You see, Vicky Ward,
- 20:18what you're trying to do here is set yourself up
- 20:21as somebody who didn't know, somebody who couldn't have been
- 20:23involved in stopping Epstein. But I don't see it like that.
- 20:28I see you as one of the key figures who
- 20:30fumbled the ball, Vicky Ward, and that's something you're gonna
- 20:35have to live with. Mostly though, he was a thug
- 20:40who soon told me he had compiled a dossier on
- 20:43my then husband and me. He claimed that he could
- 20:46get my husband fired from his job and me from mine.
- 20:49He continually threatened to sue me personally, which he reminded
- 20:53me he knew I couldn't afford. Strangest of all, he
- 20:56threatened to put a hex a demonic spell on my
- 20:59own unborn children. Now that's pretty interesting, right, because there's
- 21:03a lot of people who have went down the occult
- 21:07hole with Jeffrey Epstein. And as I've said several times,
- 21:11I don't understand the occult enough to really go one
- 21:14way or the other. So I'm not gonna blow smoke
- 21:17up your ass like I'm some kind of occultist, like
- 21:19I'm hanging out in under Meyer Park with the son
- 21:21of Sam doing some sort of seance chant. I don't
- 21:24know anything about that shit. I don't know anything about religion.
- 21:27I don't know. It's not my dig not my digs, folks. Now,
- 21:31I've been doing a lot of research into the occult,
- 21:33a lot of watching of documentaries, and and I just
- 21:37it's I know people are into it, but it's hard
- 21:40for me to wrap my mind around all of that stuff,
- 21:43witchcraft and the occult. And I'm too like, uh, based
- 21:49in reality for that stuff. I mean, I don't know. Again,
- 21:53I'm certainly not an expert on it. I don't know
- 21:56one way or the other. You know what's but I
- 22:00will tell you this, there's definitely some occult elements to
- 22:04Jeffrey Epstein and his behaviors, no doubt about that. This
- 22:10crossed all normal boundaries and it became an obsession for him.
- 22:14He wanted to know who my doctor was, where the
- 22:16babies would be delivered, and he warned me, I know
- 22:19all the doctors in this town because of the threats.
- 22:23I recorded him on the advice of my lawyer. The
- 22:26transcripts of these conversations run to some four hundred and
- 22:30fifty pages. Wow, sounds interesting, right, These are gonna be
- 22:33some great tapes. I can't wait to hear them. Now
- 22:38you will be able to hear parts of these re
- 22:40enacted by actors. Sadly, I lost the micro cassettes years ago. Ah,
- 22:45there's the rub. So all of this is based on
- 22:48your transcripts. How do we know you didn't make it up,
- 22:50Vicky Ward? How do we know that this isn't just
- 22:53all pure fiction? Oh? Guess what, guys, I just found
- 22:56some micro cassettes of my interview with Jeffrey Epstein from
- 23:00nineteen eighty seven. But I lost the tapes, and I'm
- 23:03just gonna give you the transcripts. You're gonna have to
- 23:04believe me. Uh what, so, how do again? This is
- 23:11just all bs right? And this is why I probably,
- 23:15like ninety nine point nine percent chance, won't even bother
- 23:20with this uh content, whatever she puts out, I probably
- 23:23won't even listen to it. I'll read reviews or whatever,
- 23:26but I don't even bother with a lot of the
- 23:30Epstein stuff out there, folks. To be honest with you,
- 23:33they're just going through all the same old ground we've
- 23:36already tread, and I feel like it's a waste of
- 23:38time most of the time. In my podcast Chasing Glaine,
- 23:46released on Audible next week. This is executive produced with
- 23:49best selling writer and Grifter James Patterson, and we have
- 23:53also filmed a documentary series to be released by Discovery
- 23:56Plus later this year. Of course, you have the dinner bell.
- 24:00It's ringing, isn't it. The dinner bell is ringing, and
- 24:03all of the grifters are at the trough. I don't
- 24:08know how many times I gotta say this, but I
- 24:10cannot wait for this to be over and done with
- 24:12all these other people are, you know, running towards the
- 24:15trough hearing the dinner bell and I just want to
- 24:18go the other way. It's been almost two years of
- 24:21every day covering this disgusting shit, and I've had my
- 24:24phil Folks. I cannot wait for this trial to be over.
- 24:29I cannot wait for convictions to happen. Now, of course
- 24:35Epstein is dead. He was found hanged in his New
- 24:38York Federal jail cell in twenty nineteen. In circumstances that
- 24:42continue to trouble conspiracy theorists, Really conspiracy theorists, huh, shut
- 24:48the fuck up, Vicky Ward. How about that you're part
- 24:52of a problem, conspiracy theorists. How about anyone with a
- 24:58brain that in their head that works questions the official
- 25:02narrative conspiracy theorists, that really bothers me. Man Galaine, his
- 25:10alleged accomplice, is awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges and
- 25:13other offenses, and faces up to eighty years behind bars,
- 25:17have found guilty. She denies all charges, and in light
- 25:21of the appalling alleged crimes, particularly those committed against children,
- 25:25that this pair have been accused of, and in some
- 25:28cases of which Epstein was found guilty, my conversations with
- 25:32the man are all the more chilling. Blah blah blah
- 25:35blah blah blah blah blah. We don't even know if
- 25:37the conversations are real. Okay, you could have made it
- 25:40all up, Vicky Ward. Now I'm not saying that's what
- 25:42you did. I don't know. I don't know you, but
- 25:44from the people I do know who know you. The
- 25:46profile isn't great. What you hear in them is a
- 25:52master manipulator at work, someone with many secrets to hide.
- 25:56In two thousand and two, for example, Epstein told me
- 25:59rich people don't go to the authorities when their money
- 26:02is stolen. They just want it back. Now I know
- 26:04what he meant. Yeah, no, shit, rich people don't go
- 26:07to the authorities. They are the authorities. I've discovered while
- 26:12preparing the podcast that for thirty years Epstein was embroiled
- 26:16in a shady underworld involving international espionage, blackmail, money laundering,
- 26:21and smuggling guns, diamonds, and drugs. Oh you discovered that,
- 26:24honviky word, that was what you discovered. Huh? Nobody else
- 26:28had been doing that work, right, Wow? Talk about just
- 26:32showing up and snatching everybody else's work and claiming it
- 26:36for your own. Must be nice to be one of
- 26:38these elite, one of these rich and famous who get
- 26:41to do whatever they want, snatch people's work, just call
- 26:44it their own. She's uncovered all of that, folks. Wow.
- 26:53He boasted that he was a hyperfixer, someone who can
- 26:55move between different countries and cultures, exchanging information, but mostly
- 27:00making money. Through shadowy deals. But perhaps inevitably, what most
- 27:05fixated him during his talks with me were the girls.
- 27:09Again and again he asked me, what about the girls?
- 27:12What have you got on the girls? The answer I
- 27:15know today was not enough. I don't even know that
- 27:18even means, what do you got on the girls? I
- 27:20thought you were there profiling him about his life. And furthermore,
- 27:23if he was making all of those rude and crude
- 27:25phone calls to you, why are you talking to him
- 27:27at all? Put him on block, Call your lawyer, call
- 27:30your boss, Put him on block, and be done with it.
- 27:35One woman who had been to dinner at Epstein's house
- 27:37described the event to me as like being in Eyes
- 27:40Wide Shut, the nineteen ninety nine films starring Tom Cruise
- 27:43and Nicole Kidman and featuring a debotched mass orgy. There
- 27:48were parties I heard where Epstein and Maxwell covorted with rich,
- 27:52older men among foreign women who looked much younger. Oh
- 27:56you heard, huh? Give me a break. God it. It's
- 27:59hard to even read this without disdain seeping into every
- 28:03word I put after it, because she is just detestable. Folks. Honestly,
- 28:08there are not very many people that I can say
- 28:10I just dislike, but she is one of them. Now
- 28:17I know that. At the same time Epstein was demanding
- 28:20of me, what about the girls he was raping? Fifteen
- 28:23year old Jennifer. Jennifer Areos, a beautiful child from the
- 28:26poorer New York borough of Queens. Yeah, you know, the
- 28:29poorer part where you never went right. You could have
- 28:33stopped it, You could have did something. You could have
- 28:36put together a better piece that really outlined what you
- 28:39thought about this man instead of puffing his tires. There's
- 28:45no going back to that. You can try and change
- 28:48the narrative now, you can try and refurbish your decision,
- 28:51but we all know what's up Jennifer's harrowing testimony and
- 28:57it's devastating impact on her life or revealed in our podcast,
- 29:01she now runs a foundation Survivor's initiative to help girls
- 29:05like her. For my Vanity Fair article, I did find
- 29:09two sisters, Annie and Marie Farmer, separately. Each told me
- 29:12that Epstein had sexually abused both of them, Annie when
- 29:15she was just fifteen. I believe them, and I wanted
- 29:19to publish their story, but to my dismay, the sister's
- 29:22allegations did not make it into my Vanity Fair article.
- 29:26Then I wouldn't have ran the article point blank. Period.
- 29:31Someone had those kind of allegations and they brought them
- 29:33to me as a journalist, and I went to my
- 29:35editor with those allegations and he tried to kill it.
- 29:37There'd be a couple of things that would occur. One,
- 29:40I'd go absolutely batshit, bananas crazy. You think I get crazy, boy,
- 29:45I'll tell you what. Go ahead and try and stop
- 29:47me from outing somebody as a journalist. That's not your job,
- 29:50mister editor. Make sure that my punctuations correct, you bitch,
- 29:55write my story. Oh you don't want to write it, cool,
- 29:58I'll go somewhere else. They'll publish it. But no, she
- 30:03stuck around. She stood there. She let Graydon Carter have
- 30:08the fucking situation deteriorate all around her, and she stood
- 30:12by and did nothing about it. Now she cries like
- 30:16she cared. Now it's all Graydon Carter's fault. Now she
- 30:19felt like she was being intimidated. Miss me with all
- 30:24of it, I find it all to be absolute bs
- 30:27and I won't be giving her one single clicker download.
- 30:33The magazine's editor, Graydon Carter says that he and the
- 30:35publication's lawyers didn't believe my reporting was sufficient, even though
- 30:39I maintained we had three sources supporting their allegations. Carter
- 30:43has denied this, and that's absolute bullshit. Just look how
- 30:47they go with Oh, sources say, we had a whole
- 30:50entire investigation on the Russian interference from unknown sources, from
- 30:57a dossier that couldn't even be confirmed. But two women
- 31:01come out and say that they were sexually abused by
- 31:03Jeffrey Epstein, and you won't run that, huh okay, right, Yeah,
- 31:06the media isn't all left up. The media isn't screwed up.
- 31:09The legacy media isn't garbage troubling. However, I have an
- 31:19email from December two thousand and two, just before the
- 31:22story was due to be published, from a colleague at
- 31:25Vanity Fair that reads, bless you, guess who just appeared
- 31:28in Graydon's office Jeffrey Epstein. So I guess what she's
- 31:33hinting at here is that Epstein showed up there to
- 31:35intimidate Graydon Carter, and he probably did. But don't pass
- 31:40the buck, Vicky Ward. At what point does somebody stand
- 31:45up with some steel in their spine in this case,
- 31:47y'all have to wait until twenty nineteen until a bunch
- 31:51of you know, independent content creators and independent journalists showed
- 31:54up to stand up to these people. Nine of Vicky war.
- 32:01You just want to go along to get along, right,
- 32:03don't knock the boat, don't cause no waves. I gotta
- 32:05make sure I get that paycheck breaking news. I'd rather
- 32:09starve than sit on a story like that. I'd rather
- 32:15not have another meal ever again, than not put a
- 32:20son of a bitch on blast like Jeffrey Epstein. It is,
- 32:28to say the least, highly unusual for the subject of
- 32:30an investigative magazine article to appear in the offices of
- 32:34the outlet profiling them, and perhaps especially in the editor's office. No,
- 32:39it's not to stop it. These rich people have complete access.
- 32:42They're all your friends. Your kids all go to school together.
- 32:45Your nannies all come from the same agencies. Oh sorry,
- 32:48not Nanni's. Oh pair's big difference. Right, So please miss
- 32:52me with all of this shit. Missus Oxford educated, You're
- 32:56not one of us. You're not one of the average folk.
- 33:00You never woke up in the morning and wondered where
- 33:02your dinner was coming from. But Ountain Streets, got pulled
- 33:07over by the police and watched them beat up a
- 33:09friend of yours. You've never seen that shit, have you?
- 33:11You don't know nothing about real life, Vicky Ward did.
- 33:17The impeccably well connected Epstein put pressure on the magazine
- 33:21to drop any hint of the sexual abuse I had
- 33:23uncovered about him. I don't know, but there's no doubt.
- 33:26Epstein was rattled by my forthcoming article. Oh and here
- 33:30we are. Remember what I always say, right, everybody's the
- 33:33hero in their own story, especially Vicky Ward. In one
- 33:41of our last and most unpleasant exchanges, he snarled that
- 33:44we had reached the point where this was no longer
- 33:46about journalist and the subject of a magazine profile. It
- 33:50was about me and him. It was he said, personal.
- 33:54Oh yeah, so personal that you killed the story. Right.
- 33:57If somebody came in and threatened me like that, I
- 33:59would know that I'm over the target, kind of like
- 34:01I know I'm over the target because iTunes and Apple
- 34:04Podcasts is fucking around, right, So I know I'm over
- 34:08the target. Same for Vicky Ward. She should have known.
- 34:13She pumped out. She didn't have the steel in her
- 34:17spine that's needed to go against these people, So why
- 34:21should she profit now? His threats to my unborn children
- 34:29had affected me, and when I subsequently gave birth to
- 34:31twin boys, they were two months premature. I believe the
- 34:35stress of dealing with Epstein led to the premature births,
- 34:38and as they remained in the Neo Native intensive care
- 34:41unit for weeks then months, it was hard to forget
- 34:44his ugly threat to have a witch doctor cast a
- 34:46spell on them. All right, so is she inferring that
- 34:49he casted a spell on them or had somebody cast
- 34:51a spell on them? Look, it's not out of the
- 34:55realm of possibility, folks. Again, I'm not the expert on
- 34:58the occult, though, so I'm not going to sit here
- 35:00and act like I do know one way or the other.
- 35:02What's what? What a scumbag like Jeffrey Epstein, I don't
- 35:07put anything past him. As for Glaine writing my magazine article,
- 35:15I was told by reliable sources that she was hopelessly
- 35:18in Epstein's thrall. Stuart Pavar, a New York Society art
- 35:22dealer and a former friend of Epstein's, told me that
- 35:25Epstein appointed him to watch over Glaine in the days
- 35:28after Robert Maxwell mysteriously fell to his death from his
- 35:32yacht in ninety one. So days after Maxwell died, her
- 35:37and Epstein were already so close that Epstein was reaching
- 35:40out to Stuart Pavar to watch out for Glaine. Oh,
- 35:43that sounds weird. Just a couple of days into the relationship, huh?
- 35:46Or had they known each other for a lot longer
- 35:49than previously suspected? Pavar said. Epstein told him to make
- 35:56sure Glaine made it through this dark period, but it
- 35:59was difficult to match the glittering social queen Glaine seemed
- 36:02at Manhattan parties with the woman described by the Farmer Sisters,
- 36:07pathetic in her emotional and financial dependency on Epstein, who
- 36:10treated her with disdain. Annie told me Glaine had given
- 36:15her a topless massage when she was sixteen, below the
- 36:18age of consent in America. Maria claimed Glaine had pretended
- 36:22to be asleep and held her hand while Jeffrey groped her.
- 36:24One night in Ohio, I had to put these allegations
- 36:28to Golaine in a deeply unpleasant phone call. She denied everything.
- 36:32She was furious and after the article ran without Luckily
- 36:37for Maxwell and Epstein the Farmer's allegations. I hoped never.
- 36:40I hoped never, I'd never see the pair of them again.
- 36:45So again she just goes over with the article right
- 36:49the farmer situation, and acts like it's a good thing
- 36:54that you know, she didn't have her story run, because
- 36:58then Epstein would have been caught. Give me a break.
- 37:01You're not the hero here. You're the one who didn't
- 37:03put this story in. You're the one who didn't fight
- 37:06for it. You failed the Maxwell's system. I mean, you
- 37:08failed the Farmer's sisters. But Glena and I were to
- 37:15cross paths again a few more times. We ran into
- 37:18each other a few years later in New York. This
- 37:20time she had a new boyfriend, Ted Waite. He had
- 37:23founded a computer hardware company and made a fortune. They'd
- 37:27met through Bill Clinton, and now she boasted about flying
- 37:30helicopters and piloting a submarine that was attached to Ted's yacht,
- 37:35as well as the philanthropic work she was doing saving
- 37:38the oceans. So again Bill Clinton pops up in this story.
- 37:44How many times is Bill Clinton going to be brought
- 37:46up or inferred to before somebody really digs in and
- 37:49goes deep. Anybody out there in the legacy media have
- 37:54the courage to do it or no, we're still playing politics.
- 37:56Too busy, tribalistic stuff going on. Too busy right now, man,
- 38:01way too busy making sure the pitchforks and the torches
- 38:04hate each other to really do some work. It's an
- 38:09absolute joke. The legacy media is a dumpster fire. She
- 38:18didn't mention Jeffrey Epstein, and why would she. In two
- 38:21thousand and nine, he had been jailed for eighteen months
- 38:24for solicitation of a prostitute and the minor in Palm Beach, Florida.
- 38:28Much of New York society had decided that he was
- 38:31a creep, though they didn't know that a US attorney
- 38:34no less, had shut down a far more serious federal
- 38:37investigation into his crimes. BS bullshit, Okay, it wasn't alex
- 38:42Acosta who shut that down. Guys, Come on, you really
- 38:45believe that. I mean, that's a fun line to pitch, right,
- 38:50fun to get some headlines when he was actually the
- 38:52Labor Secretary. But now, doesn't it seem a bit foolish
- 38:56to think that it was alex Acosta who shut this down?
- 39:00For you mookazy moo casey, look him up if you
- 39:06don't know who he is. That might have been the
- 39:12end of the story. But in twentyd and eleven a
- 39:15photograph taken in Glaine's London townhouse emerged. It showed a
- 39:20young girl, Virginia Roberts, standing with Prince Andrew with his
- 39:23arm pulled around her waist as Glaine smiled beside them.
- 39:27Roberts claimed that when she was seventeen, Epstein and Maxwell
- 39:30had pimped her out to Prince Andrew. In subsequent years,
- 39:34Glaine has denied this. Oh yeah, I'm sure she has. Pelly.
- 39:38You deny the picture though, Oh it's fake, right, Yeah,
- 39:40that's what Glaine says. That's what Prince Andrew says. That's
- 39:43what her four supporters on Twitter say. But the FBI
- 39:48and people that are actual, you know, photographers, well they
- 39:52say something different. In twenty and eleven, the year that
- 39:57photograph emerged, Maxwell and Waite separated. I last glimpse Glaine
- 40:01in twenty fourteen at a book party, but I don't
- 40:04recall talking to her. That was one of the last events.
- 40:07Many of her friends remember seeing her at New York.
- 40:10Oh yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure she was never invited
- 40:12anywhere else. None of you guys had little dinner parties
- 40:15with her. She wasn't invited to Beso's little privates. Wore
- 40:19right the backyard function right, Nah, none of that happened.
- 40:29In twenty fifteen, after leaving Vanity Fair, I finally wrote
- 40:32a piece about the farmers with the sisters help, published
- 40:36in the Daily Beast. This laid out their claims of
- 40:39what had been done to them in the nineteen nineties.
- 40:42I've had no idea Gallayne thought of that article. But
- 40:45the following year, twenty sixteen, I received a call. The
- 40:49number was withheld and answered, okay, yeah, because that's what
- 40:53people do. They answer withheld calls. I know. I don't
- 40:56give me a break if it's as spam risk or
- 40:58withheld number, write to voicemail. It was Glaine. She asked
- 41:05if I knew that I was on the witness list
- 41:07for Virginia Roberts, who was then suing her for defamation.
- 41:10A spokesperson for Glaine had called Virginia a liar. I
- 41:15was surprised by the call. I hadn't met Virginia, though
- 41:18I would later interview her. But I couldn't get off
- 41:21the phone quick enough. Journalists don't want to be dragged
- 41:24into people's private legal actions. Our job is to report
- 41:27and to protect our sources. Boy, you feled at that,
- 41:30didn't you talk about an epic failure protect your sources?
- 41:35You didn't protect the farmer's sisters and then to write
- 41:39the truth? Well, you certainly didn't do that either, did you.
- 41:47This was in the wake of the allegations that Epstein
- 41:50had received an unduly lenient sentence in Florida, allegedly perverting
- 41:54justice for dozens of his victims. What do you mean allegedly,
- 41:57that's exactly what happened, Vicky Ward. You see she's still
- 42:01dancing around the edges. She's still not willing to commit
- 42:06allegedly this allegedly that what's Epstein gonna sue you from
- 42:09the gray? Vicky Ward? God, these legacy media journalists. I
- 42:17sense that she was that she wanted to see me
- 42:20for her litigation purposes, so I did not reply to
- 42:23her note. Since her incarceration a year ago, she has
- 42:26become perhaps the most hated woman in the world. People
- 42:30find the idea of a woman allegedly abusing other women
- 42:33children even worse than if a man does it. Thirty
- 42:37eight percent of people involved in human trafficking, according to reports,
- 42:41are women. This notion that it's just men is not
- 42:47very productive or helpful, And Galage isn't just any woman.
- 42:56She's educated, born into immense privilege, with an extraordinary content book.
- 43:00But there are still many questions about her. Even those
- 43:03who thought they knew her well are in the dark
- 43:06about the true nature of her relationship with Epstein and
- 43:10what they may or may not have done together. Still others,
- 43:15particularly certain very rich, very powerful men, fear that even
- 43:20from the grave, Epstein could yet bring them down. Well,
- 43:25there you have at Vicky Folks, Vicky warr telling us
- 43:29absolutely nothing. We know all of this stuff. This is
- 43:34just a cash grab on her and James Patterson's part
- 43:37in my opinion, and frankly, I won't be listening or
- 43:42watching one single bit of the content they come up with.

- 44:07episode can be found in the description box. All right,
- 44:11folks Up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 44:15Yesterday we were talking about the New Yorker article that
- 44:19profiled Vicky Ward's involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein case and
- 44:25the now infamous two thousand and three Vanity Fair article. Now,
- 44:31we heard from Maria and Annie Farmer for a very
- 44:35long time about Vicky Ward's in action, how she didn't
- 44:39report the whole story, and how she omitted the truth. Now,
- 44:44Vicky Ward, she says that it wasn't her fault. It
- 44:48was the paper's fault. It was Graydon Carter's fault. It
- 44:51was everybody's fault but hers. Meanwhile, she's the one who
- 44:56penned the piece. She's the one who is the alleged journalist. Right,
- 45:01But you let someone like Graydon Carter kill your story.
- 45:04You mean to tell me you have no other friends
- 45:06in the media, nobody else that works for a publication
- 45:11that you could have hit up and said, hey, look
- 45:13this is what I got. I want you to check
- 45:15the check the and verify it, make sure it's right,
- 45:18and then I want you to run it. You mean
- 45:20to tell me nobody else would have had the courage
- 45:22to do it. I mean, maybe not. We've seen how
- 45:26the legacy media protected Epstein for a long time, so
- 45:30maybe not. But one thing is for sure, Vicky warr
- 45:34trying to pass the buck, trying to make it somebody
- 45:39else's fault is just unacceptable. She eft up here, and
- 45:44that's just the way of it, and her not going
- 45:47to bat for the survivors, not going to bat for
- 45:51Annie and Maria after they spoke with her in confidence,
- 45:56you know, trusted her to try and help them get justice,
- 45:59and for them to not have her push the ball
- 46:05down the field for them after interviewing them and having them,
- 46:10you know, expose everything that happened, and for her not
- 46:13to use that in the story and to go on
- 46:16and write a glowing piece about Epstein is just the
- 46:19nail in the coffin. So this morning we have an
- 46:23article from the Daily Beast, and this article is Vicky
- 46:27Ward's response to the article yesterday from The New Yorker.
- 46:33Now you all know how I feel about context, right,
- 46:35and I want to know the whole story. I'm not
- 46:37here to just hear one side of the story. Ever,
- 46:39I want all of the evidence, as much context as possible,
- 46:43so that I can make as much of an informed
- 46:46decision about what I believe as possible. So let's see
- 46:51what Vicky Ward has to say for herself, shall we?
- 46:54Like I said, this article is from the Daily Beast
- 46:57and the author is Kate Brickley. Headline Epstein, journalist Vicky
- 47:02Ward hits back at The New Yorker and Graydon Carter.
- 47:06So for Vicky Ward's part, it's always been it's the
- 47:10blame is Graydon Carter's. She doesn't shoulder any of this blame.
- 47:13You know, she was just a reporter trying to get
- 47:18a story out there. She wasn't part of the you know,
- 47:20the social scene or anything like that. Again, another one
- 47:23of these people that would have you believe that they're helpless.
- 47:28Journalist Vicky Ward has released what she claims are select
- 47:32transcripts related to her two thousand and three Vanity Fair
- 47:35profile of Jeffrey Epstein, following a critical New Yorker examination
- 47:40into why accusations from two of his survivors were asked
- 47:44from her expose. Now, it's nice to see the legacy
- 47:48media catching up to all of this. But we've been
- 47:51talking about this for over a year and Vicky Ward
- 47:58and her role in helping, you know, build Epstein's profile,
- 48:05helping his rise. You know, a glowing article like this
- 48:10can only help enable Jeffrey Epstein and his disgusting behaviors.
- 48:16You're basically giving him credibility. Wart's transcripts, which appear edited
- 48:22and do not include any audio, portray then Vanity Fair
- 48:26editor in chief Graydon Carter as allegedly saying the abuse
- 48:30of a sixteen year old was not that earth shattering.
- 48:33I mean, wow, really, And again, look, I wasn't there.
- 48:36I'm not sitting here trying to defend Grayden Carter either.
- 48:39He's a piece of shit. You're the editor, bro, run
- 48:42the story. What are you scared of? All of these
- 48:45people who are scared of these so called elite. It's
- 48:47just mind boggling to me. They only have the power
- 48:51that you give them back. In two thousand and two,
- 48:55Ward had interviewed siblings Annie and Maria Farmer for her
- 48:58thorough piece Talented Mister Epstein, but their claims of sexual
- 49:02abuse at the hands of Epstein and his ex girlfriend
- 49:05them accomplice and you know, convicted human trafficker and you
- 49:09know child abuser Glenn Maxwell never made it to the
- 49:13final copy. Late last year, Annie was one of four
- 49:16survivors to testify at Maxwell's criminal case. So again, what
- 49:20it does. It just shines a terrible light on Vicky Ward.
- 49:25You mean to tell me you had the information from
- 49:28Annie Farmer all of those years ago and you didn't
- 49:32run it. And now fast forward to twenty twenty two,
- 49:35twenty twenty one, and those allegations are the ones that
- 49:40are used to get a conviction on Maxwell. As a journalist,
- 49:45you shit the bed, and as a human being, you're
- 49:48not a very good one. Ward has argued Vanity Fairs
- 49:54Carter caved a pressure from Epstein and acts the farmers
- 49:58from the scoop against her wishes. And again, this is
- 50:01a bunch of he said. She said, how do we
- 50:03know who did what or who didn't do what. The
- 50:05fact of the matter is, everybody involved with the decision
- 50:08making process not to run the story is shouldering their
- 50:12share of the blame. And for Vicky Ward to act
- 50:16like she had nothing to do with it, it's just
- 50:19it's ridiculous. And I don't know anyone who believes that.
- 50:25On Tuesday, The New Yorker published a deeper dive into
- 50:28Ward's assertions of having no say in the farmers being
- 50:31silenced and revealed a more nuanced and less favorable picture
- 50:36of why War didn't break the Epstein trafficking story. The
- 50:40legacy media was protecting Jeffrey Epstein. That's what it was, Okay,
- 50:45the same legacy media that wants you to hate your cousin,
- 50:47hates your neighbor. Yeah, that's same exact legacy media. And
- 50:52it's it's ridiculous. Vicky Ward, Vanity Fair, Graden Carter, everybody
- 50:58else involved this short this story or he should have
- 51:00run and if it did, who knows how many girls
- 51:04and women it could have saved from a lifetime of
- 51:07misery at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein. But no, you
- 51:11couldn't run the story, right, You're too worried that Jeffrey
- 51:14Epstein might be mad at you. He might show up
- 51:16in his goofy ass slippers and his slippers and his
- 51:19mom jeans, and then what what's he going to do?
- 51:25The article by New Yorker scribe Isaac Chottner also examined
- 51:29Wards for giving twenty and eleven take on Epstein and
- 51:32Maxwell that glossed over their alleged abuse of young women.
- 51:36And you see, if it was one mistake, you could
- 51:39say all right, Well, she made a mistake, but there's
- 51:41a history of this refurbishing Jeffrey Epstein's reputation, helping build
- 51:48it back up, and then in twenty and eleven writing
- 51:51another glossy piece on Epstein on Maxwell. Now fast forward
- 51:59to today, and you should all believe that you're some
- 52:01hard charging journalist who was looking for the truth the
- 52:04whole entire time. He had zero chance that's gonna happen
- 52:07on this show. In response, war tweeted that Chattner's article
- 52:14was riddled with malicious inaccuracies and that she was going
- 52:17to release the transcripts of what Graydon Carter and Maria
- 52:20and Annie Farmer said to me back then so that
- 52:23you can read it for yourself and judge off what
- 52:26Vanity Fair did was right. So again, it's the blame game.
- 52:30Nobody ever wants to take responsibility for the things that
- 52:33they screwed up. I'm so glad that one of the
- 52:38things that was just pounded into my head as a
- 52:41child was self responsibility. You mess up, you own up,
- 52:45and you move on. You fix it if you can,
- 52:48and if not, you make sure you never do it
- 52:50again in the future. We don't see that from Vicky Ward.
- 52:57But Ward told The Daily Beast that she had decided
- 52:59again releasing her transcribed conversations with Annie and Maria. Yeah.
- 53:03Good idea, that's told to you in confidence. You've already,
- 53:08you know, hurt the process with Maria and Annie long enough.
- 53:12Now you're talking about, oh, maybe I'll release transcripts, and again,
- 53:16how do we even know if they're real. I'm not
- 53:18trying to sound like a dick here, right, or a
- 53:20cynical skeptic. But again, I don't just trust people anymore.
- 53:26You know, there's no journalists out there where I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 53:28whatever they say, I trust. I have to verify everything
- 53:33I read these days. I decided it would be wrong
- 53:42to put those out Ward said on Wednesday. At the
- 53:45end of the day, they don't need it. They've been
- 53:47through enough, and that is more important than defending myself. Well,
- 53:50we can agree on that. One thing is for sure.
- 53:53All of the survivors here have been through more than enough.
- 53:59Annie and Maria especially, So you got Vicky Ward out
- 54:03here making things more difficult. It's not a good look.
- 54:10I'm very upset that they're upset. Ward added on the farmers,
- 54:14I feel that we're aligned that we're all fighting the
- 54:16same system, and I hope they're able to get some
- 54:18clarity from reading what I wrote. Yeah, I highly doubt it.
- 54:21And we're not all aligned. If we were all aligned,
- 54:24you would have had that article out about Epstein in
- 54:26two thousand and three, then another chance in twenty and eleven,
- 54:30you didn't do it again. So what do you mean
- 54:32we're all aligned. I'm not aligned with you. We're certainly
- 54:34not allies. In her defense of her reporting, Ward focused
- 54:41on what she said was Carter protecting the patriarchal system
- 54:44that short up Epstein rather than exposing it. Oh what
- 54:48a typical low hanging fruit to go to. So it's
- 54:50the patriarchy. Huh, the patriarchy held you back from not
- 54:55exposing this. You again, you could have brought this information
- 54:59to a million day outlets. You chose not to. You
- 55:02chose to be silenced by Graydon Carter, or you chose
- 55:07to help harbor the reputation of Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell.
- 55:10Either way, you're a coward. Carter war told The Daily
- 55:16Beast had a bromance with Epstein and said they formed
- 55:19their own back channel to underminer as she worked to
- 55:22report on claims that Epstein prayed on young women. Again,
- 55:25that might be true. I'm not saying it's not. I
- 55:27don't know. I wasn't there, and I'm sure Graydon Carter
- 55:29isn't a great person either. But for her to try,
- 55:33and you know, shrug off all of the responsibility onto
- 55:36somebody else, it's disgusting. Take your piece of the blame
- 55:41here and do a better job. She also said she's
- 55:48been marginalized by sexist journalism utilizing anonymous sources, and questioned
- 55:54the purpose of the New Yorker piece, which she described
- 55:57as vindictive, personal, slanted, and inaccurate. I mean, look, this
- 56:02is the way of it, Vicky Ward. You're out here,
- 56:07you know, somebody who is hanging out with Glenn Maxwell,
- 56:10friendly with them, writing puff pieces on them, and then
- 56:14when the chickens come home to roost, now it's about
- 56:17the patriarchy and and how uh you know it's sexist.
- 56:22Come on, man, what that does is it just takes
- 56:29all responsibility away from her for her actions and says, oh,
- 56:35it's the system's fault, why I reacted this way. Guess what,
- 56:39you sometimes you got to be willing to go against
- 56:42the system. You have to be willing to put it
- 56:44all on the line. On Wednesday, Ward Defender defended herself
- 56:50in her Substack newsletter with a post titled what the
- 56:53New Yorker got wrong. She took shots at Carter, whom
- 56:57she accused of being a self congratulatory male at club
- 57:00with Epstein again with the attack on mails, and it's
- 57:04all guys fault. I mean, don't get me wrong. Plenty
- 57:08of scumbag dudes right, but in this specific instance, has
- 57:12nothing to do with it. She could have went to
- 57:14anybody with this story, she did not. She chronicled what
- 57:19she claimed were written records of certain conversations between herself
- 57:23and Epstein and Carter, and a conference call with the
- 57:25two men, and other damning details about her old boss.
- 57:29She claimed she provided these transcripts to Chattener, but he
- 57:33didn't include them in his story. Are they both under age?
- 57:36Carter allegedly asked Ward of the farmers, and again he
- 57:39didn't include it in his story. How's he going to
- 57:41verify it? If anyone can hand over some notes and
- 57:44be like, oh, these are the actual notes, these are
- 57:47the notes, But how can someone verify that? So I
- 57:51don't blame Chottner? For not running. That one was in
- 57:56her very early twenties. Ward replied, and one was sixteen. Okay,
- 58:00the sixteen, I mean what people do in their private lives,
- 58:04I mean is not that, you know, earth shattering. I
- 58:06think the money thing is more interesting. Carter allegedly said, Now,
- 58:10I do not doubt that these dudes have no they
- 58:13don't care if someone sixteen, what do they care. They
- 58:16have all the money in the world, all the power
- 58:18in the world. They can get away with whatever they want.
- 58:20So to Carter, that's just a shoulder shrugging situation, because,
- 58:24like we always talk about, that kind of shit is
- 58:27normalized for these sick people in her substack rebuttal word rights,
- 58:33think about that sixteen. What people do in their private
- 58:36lives is not that earth shattering in hindsight, the poor
- 58:40farmers didn't stand a chance against that attitude, nor did
- 58:44I again setting herself up as a victim as well, Sorry,
- 58:48Vicky Ward, You're not a victim. You were in a
- 58:50position where you could have made a change, You could
- 58:53have made a difference, and you did not. That's what
- 58:55it all comes down to. Right. Word also alleges Carter
- 59:01himself behaved inappropriately by dishing the details of his private
- 59:05life that involved the former employee, She writes, And how
- 59:08did he think I felt during years of being on
- 59:10the receiving end of critical remarks about my clothes, mutton
- 59:14dressed as lamb my face, save the botox for when
- 59:17you need it? And my marriage again, what does any
- 59:20of that have to do with anything? Trying to set
- 59:23herself up and build his profile of Oh woe is me,
- 59:26poor Vicky Ward? And if he was such an asshole
- 59:29and such a dick and vanity fair was such a
- 59:31bad outlet to write for, why wouldn't you go over
- 59:34their head and try and scoop them and give the
- 59:36story to someone else. Unfortunately, it seems that the same
- 59:42misogyny is prevalent at the top of Conde Nast today.
- 59:45Ward ads bash the woman is the message, rather than
- 59:49report the inconvenient facts. The same patriarchy that victimized and
- 59:53tortured these women is once again circling the wagons to
- 59:56protect itself. I mean, is she for real? This is
- 1:00:00just I really doubt anyone believes that. Okay, to try
- 1:00:05and use that as your defense is just wow. I
- 1:00:11don't even know what else to say about that. As
- 1:00:14for comment on Ward's accusations, Carter said in an email, sorry,
- 1:00:17it's impossible to deal with the serial liar. Nothing Vicky
- 1:00:21Ward says is true nothing, as McCarthy said of Lillian Hellman. Carter,
- 1:00:26referring to dueling writers Mary McCarthy and Lillian Hellman, would
- 1:00:29not comment further when asked if Ward's transcripts are fake. Again,
- 1:00:34nobody knows who knows what she wrote. Meanwhile, Ward's apparent
- 1:00:39transcripts of her calls with Epstein don't reveal her directly
- 1:00:42grilling him about Annie and Maria's sexual abuse accusations. There
- 1:00:46was the implication that Maria Farmer finally Ohio or left
- 1:00:52because she felt there was some sort of sexual pressure.
- 1:00:55War told Epstein, who replied for who Ward answered from you.
- 1:00:59Ward told the Daily Beasts that later she sent Epstein
- 1:01:02a list of specific questions via facts, and that call
- 1:01:05with the financier was only an initial conversation. She can't
- 1:01:09even get her real her story right. So again, I
- 1:01:12just I don't believe any of it, And obviously it's
- 1:01:15up to all of you to believe what you want
- 1:01:17to believe. But for me, none of this makes sense
- 1:01:20and it just seems like another cover your ass situation.
- 1:01:26I'm feeling him out in the call, and then he
- 1:01:28goes to see Graydon Carter. Ward said, Then Graydon told
- 1:01:31me the next day that he believes Jeffrey Epstein over
- 1:01:34the Farmers. So again, it's all Gray Graydon Carter's fault, right,
- 1:01:38And don't get me wrong, scumbag. But Vicky Ward, you're
- 1:01:42not an adult here. You're just somebody who stands around.
- 1:01:44You're an automaton who does what they're told. Both Annie
- 1:01:52and Maria have said Vanity Fair's exclusion of their interviews
- 1:01:55and corroborating information from their mother was painful for their family,
- 1:01:59and that in recent years, when Ward wanted to interview
- 1:02:02them again, Maria had to tell her to stop harrassing them.
- 1:02:05Maria told The Daily Beast that the New Yorker story
- 1:02:08was an incomplete analysis of her lives and her cover
- 1:02:11up for her friends Jeffrey and Galaane. No matter what
- 1:02:14Vicky Ward does, it's to help Vicky Ward, Maria fumed.
- 1:02:18Vicky Ward has never once cared about the children involved
- 1:02:21in this story. About my baby sister, who is fifteen
- 1:02:24when this happened. She doesn't care about anything but prestige
- 1:02:26and money. Maria is not wrong there. She's one hundred
- 1:02:29percent correct. That's all these people care about. How do
- 1:02:33I further my career? And if that means harboring the
- 1:02:37reputation of somebody like Jeffrey Epstein, well so be it.
- 1:02:43Maria said that when the Epstein case paid headlines in
- 1:02:45recent years, Ward would contact her and her family and
- 1:02:48hound them for interviews via phone and in letters. She
- 1:02:52has milked us to death. Maria said, I have a
- 1:02:54real problem with Vicky because her story has never seemed
- 1:02:57to line up. Maria added, how dare she tried to
- 1:03:00defend herself right now? And look the rage that Maria feels.
- 1:03:04It's not fake. Okay, I know that for sure, and
- 1:03:08I know that for a fact. Maria is she feels
- 1:03:12very wronged by Vicky Ward, and I don't blame her. Annie,
- 1:03:18in her own statement to The Daily Beast, said, what
- 1:03:20appears to me to be more concerned about protecting her
- 1:03:22reputation than she ever was about protecting girls and young
- 1:03:26women from a pair of predators. Instead of pointing fingers,
- 1:03:30I wish all parties were taking more ownership for their mistakes.
- 1:03:32Annie continued the dissection of what went wrong in two
- 1:03:35thousand and two is relevant because many members of the
- 1:03:39media still need to learn how to engage ethically with
- 1:03:42individuals coming forward with allegations of abuse, rather than retraumatize
- 1:03:47them and people in the media blue check marks on
- 1:03:50Twitter especially, you should read that paragraph again. When you
- 1:03:54have these survivors being more comfortable talking to people in
- 1:03:58the independent media, independent content creators than they are just
- 1:04:02speaking to regular journalists who are supposed to be digging
- 1:04:06for the truth, you know that there's a big problem.
- 1:04:08And it just goes back to the fact that nobody
- 1:04:11trusts the legacy media anymore because this is what happens.
- 1:04:14They stick up for their buddies, predators go un called out,
- 1:04:19and then when the chickens come home to roost, when
- 1:04:22it's found out that you were up to nonsense, there's
- 1:04:25never any apologies. It's just more, oh, it wasn't me,
- 1:04:29and it's gross. It's disgusting, and people like Annie and
- 1:04:34Maria they deserve a lot better from the legacy media.
- 1:04:38Still Ward says she is entitled to defend herself in
- 1:04:41light of The New Yorker's story, and she doesn't believe
- 1:04:43she's done so at the farmer's expense. Look, I agree
- 1:04:46everyone should be able to defend themselves, but with that said,
- 1:04:50it doesn't mean I'm going to believe what you're pitching.
- 1:04:53In recent years, Ward came forward to say that she
- 1:04:56believes the farmers claims and capitalized on the Epstein scandal
- 1:05:00with a three parts special Chasing Glaine on Discovery Plus
- 1:05:05and an audible podcast of the same title. It cracks
- 1:05:08me up. I'm not gonna digress too far here, but
- 1:05:12all of these podcasts that all of a sudden have
- 1:05:14popped up recently about Glene Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein comical
- 1:05:19at best. She first accused Carter of excising the women
- 1:05:25from her story in a twenty fifteen column for The
- 1:05:28Daily Beast. It came down to my sources word against Epstein's,
- 1:05:33and at the time Graydon believed Epstein. Ward wrote, in
- 1:05:36my notebook, I have him saying I believe him. I'm Canadian.
- 1:05:39What does that mean? I don't believe you when I'm Italian?
- 1:05:42So put that in your pipe and smoke it. Chottner
- 1:05:46interviewed Ward about his story of covering Epstein and Maxwell
- 1:05:49after the latter was convicted in late December of Grooming
- 1:05:52Girls for the multi Millionaire Pedophile, Many of the things
- 1:05:56she told me and had told her podcast listeners turned
- 1:05:59out to be untrue, Chattner writes, and for those of
- 1:06:02you out there listening to the podcast right now, you
- 1:06:04know for a fact that that's one of the number
- 1:06:06one things when it comes to podcasts that's important. Getting
- 1:06:10the story straight and consistency the two most important things
- 1:06:14Ward has neither was it a ten part series where
- 1:06:17it's filled with all kinds of bs. According to Chattner,
- 1:06:21all publications, including this one, at times look back on
- 1:06:25stories and regret not pursuing them further. But Ward's claim
- 1:06:28that Vanity Fair prevented her from exposing Epstein misrepresents a
- 1:06:32more complicated reality. That's factual, definitely a more complicated reality.
- 1:06:38But she could have made it less complicated by just
- 1:06:40taking the story elsewhere. Again, I know that sounds easy,
- 1:06:43and it's easy for me to say it's not my
- 1:06:45livelihood on the line, But guess what, Sometimes you have
- 1:06:50to have courage, and if you're going to be a journalist,
- 1:06:52especially your job as a member of the Fourth Estate,
- 1:06:55is to hold people of a power to account. Chottner,
- 1:07:02adds Carter, who now says that he distrusted Ward as
- 1:07:05a reporter, has offered conflicting explanations for his magazine's decision
- 1:07:09not to run the sister's allegations. For her part, Ward
- 1:07:13has repeatedly misrepresented her reporting on Epstein, changing her story
- 1:07:17from year to year and at times from day to day,
- 1:07:20and was a far less heroic actor than she would
- 1:07:23have audiences believe. Yeah, it's nice to see chatterer as
- 1:07:28getting caught up on this. We've only been talking about
- 1:07:31this for over two years. Maria was a twenty six
- 1:07:36year old art student in New York when she met
- 1:07:37Epstein in Maxwell and claims the duo sexually assaulted her
- 1:07:41in nineteen ninety six. During the alleged assault, Farmer had
- 1:07:45been staying at the home of Epstein's pal, former Limited
- 1:07:48Brands chairman Les Wexner. And Maria's story is one that
- 1:07:52is pretty uh disgusting, and said, she's told her story
- 1:07:58here on this podcast before she's told it elsewhere. And
- 1:08:02I think that Maria and Annie, if they would have
- 1:08:07just been listened to, all of this could have been stopped.
- 1:08:13The creepy couple also prayed on Maria's sixteen year old
- 1:08:15sister Annie, who was growth by Maxwell during a visit
- 1:08:18to Epstein's new Mexico compound. At Maxwell's criminal trial, Annie
- 1:08:23said she was frozen in fear when the socialite, pedophile,
- 1:08:27convicted human trafficker molested her. And again, we all heard
- 1:08:30Annie's testimony, we all read it, and we all know
- 1:08:33how harrowing that must have been for her. Last July,
- 1:08:38Maria told Page six she was tired of Ward allegedly
- 1:08:40profiting from her and Annie's experience with Epstein. I am horrified.
- 1:08:44Just leave us alone. Can't you make money off of
- 1:08:47other victims? Maria told the outlet ahead of Ward's podcast premiere.
- 1:08:50She added, whenever we hear the name Vicky Ward, we cringe.
- 1:08:54Ward responded that she made an effort to really apologize
- 1:08:57to Maria in the podcast. She was done a great disservice.
- 1:09:00Ward told Page six Epstein ruined her life. I'm hugely
- 1:09:05sorry for my role in that. She obviously sees me
- 1:09:07as the enemy, which is very upsetting. Well, look, you
- 1:09:11had a chance to help her. You had a chance
- 1:09:14to go and tell the world what happened, and you
- 1:09:16did not. You sat on it. And because of that,
- 1:09:20I can't even begin to tell you the struggles that
- 1:09:22Maria has had since then. Cancer issues with hiding from
- 1:09:27these people. There's no way to live your life, and
- 1:09:30she deserves a lot better than that from Vicky Ward
- 1:09:33and the rest of these pieces as shit. In Schottner's piece,
- 1:09:37Carter initially recalled that he edited Ward's first draft of
- 1:09:41her two thousand and three story and that there was
- 1:09:44no mention of young women in it. Emails showed, however,
- 1:09:47that Ward had discussed the Farmer's sexual abuse accusations with
- 1:09:51fact checkers and a photo editor weeks before her deadline.
- 1:09:55Carter and I also spoke on the phone, Shotner writes,
- 1:09:58and he told me that the decision not to run
- 1:10:00the Farmer's allegation was likely influenced by Ward's professional reputation.
- 1:10:05My staff, to a person, did not trust her. Then
- 1:10:08why is she working for you? Why do we have
- 1:10:11people in the media or in the journalist rooms who
- 1:10:16are not trusted. If nobody trusts you and you're a liar,
- 1:10:19why are you giving the news to the rest of us.
- 1:10:23It's amazing to me fire her. Then, in the three
- 1:10:27years after Epstein's profile, Ward continue to write about the
- 1:10:30wealthy sex offender and mingle with Maxwell in Manhattan. Society circles.
- 1:10:35Her bylines included a casual two thousand and eight Vanity
- 1:10:38Fair item about rumors that Epstein would flee to Israel
- 1:10:41to avoid jail time for soliciting a minor in Florida.
- 1:10:45The story closes with an impertinent exchange. Well, I guess
- 1:10:50you and I have history by now, Jeffrey, I told them,
- 1:10:52thinking of my two thousand and three article. He replied,
- 1:10:56you know how many girls say that to me? Oh?
- 1:10:58How cute? What a loving moment between you two absolute scoundrels.
- 1:11:05The next column, in twenty eleven, was effusive about Maxwell,
- 1:11:09the very woman Annie accused of abuse in an interview
- 1:11:12with Ward about nine years before. So after she knew
- 1:11:16all of this, Vicky Ward, she had been hipped to
- 1:11:18all of this by Annie and Maria and had hindsight
- 1:11:22as her benefit. And she's still hanging out with Glenn Maxwell,
- 1:11:25So anything she says after that should not be taken seriously.
- 1:11:33This is not to say I didn't hear stories about
- 1:11:35the girls, Ward wrote, I did, but not knowing quite
- 1:11:38whom to believe, I concentrated on the intriguing financial mystery instead,
- 1:11:42Ward added, and they didn't even dig deep there. The
- 1:11:45financial aspect of this case is one of the most
- 1:11:47interesting aspects to me, and for her to act like
- 1:11:51she's really dug deep here is laughable at best. Ward added, Sure,
- 1:11:57Jeffrey had his sexual peccadillos, but then Glaine, his father
- 1:12:00was not without his oddities. Again, what about is? And
- 1:12:02what does that even mean? His peccadillos? You mean abusing
- 1:12:06children and raping women. That's peccadillos to you. Huh. I
- 1:12:10guess when you're part of the so called elite and
- 1:12:12you do that sort of shit, it's just a peccadillo.
- 1:12:17Ward says. Her original copy said we concentrated instead of iye,
- 1:12:20because she wanted to cover for Vanity far and Carter.
- 1:12:24She says she always believed the farmers, but an editor
- 1:12:27changed your copy and made it seem otherwise. Oh is
- 1:12:30that right again? And you never came out with your
- 1:12:33own version? And Glaine full disclosure. I like her, most
- 1:12:39people in New York do. It's almost impossible not to,
- 1:12:41Ward wrote. She is always the most interesting, the most vivacious,
- 1:12:45the most unusual person in any room. Oh, give me
- 1:12:48a fucking break, breaking news. I guarantee you I know
- 1:12:52people in New York who don't like Galaine Maxwell. Okay,
- 1:12:55I promise you that she's not the most interesting person
- 1:12:58anywhere Ever. I've spent hours talking to her about the
- 1:13:02Third World? Do you mean the developing world again? Remember, folks,
- 1:13:06when these people are up there calling everybody else racist
- 1:13:09or misogynists or whatever it might be, this is the
- 1:13:11way they look at the developing world. Oh, it's the
- 1:13:14third world, speaking of it in derogatory terms, like there's places.
- 1:13:21I've spent hours talking to her about the third world
- 1:13:23at a bar until two am. She is as passionate
- 1:13:26as she is knowledgeable. She is curious. She has spent
- 1:13:29weeks at the bottom of the ocean, literally going deeper
- 1:13:32than anyone else. She should have just stayed there. Okay,
- 1:13:35the world to be a better place. Nobody cares if
- 1:13:37she's out here acting like Jacques Cousteau. Nobody gives a fuck.
- 1:13:42Asked about this language, Ward told The Daily Beast that
- 1:13:45Maxwell had an extraordinary charisma, but claim she didn't know
- 1:13:48her well. She said they'd run into each other sporadically
- 1:13:51at a book launch or a movie premiere. This is
- 1:13:54somebody I would run into at an event. It's not
- 1:13:56somebody I would be having lunch with. Ward said, I
- 1:13:59think people have got wrong impression. Ward added that she
- 1:14:02had no idea the heiress, pedophile, human trafficker, child abuser,
- 1:14:08procured children for Epstein. Nah, you had no idea. Nobody
- 1:14:12knew anything. She's a journalist. It's her job to know.
- 1:14:15But she had no idea. Sure, I think we should
- 1:14:18just believe everything, Vicky Ward tells us. Ward told Schattner
- 1:14:23that her draft was quite different from the finished feature
- 1:14:26posted on Vanity Fair's website. This piece got sent to
- 1:14:29Graydon and somebody altered it dramatically, Ward claimed, really, really dramatically.
- 1:14:35As proof Word forwarded Shatner her emails with Vanity Fair editors,
- 1:14:40and her supposed first draft. According to Chattner, the draft
- 1:14:43was extremely similar to the published piece, and specifically said
- 1:14:47that she would she was unsure of whom to believe.
- 1:14:50The sentence about sexual peccadillos was in that copy too.
- 1:14:55Now again she's being called out here, she's being outed
- 1:14:59aired at, and she's still not willing to take responsibility.
- 1:15:04So I leave it up to you folks as usual
- 1:15:06to decide if her content's worth you even bothering with,
- 1:15:12Chotner says. Ward claims she included precise allegations from the
- 1:15:15Farmers in her twenty eleven write up, but someone at
- 1:15:18Vanity Fair removed them, But a copy of the draft
- 1:15:21Chotner writes revealed that Annie's accusations about Maxwell's unwonted massage
- 1:15:25and Epstein climbing into her bed had never been included.
- 1:15:30Asked why Annie's claims about Maxwell were left out, Ward
- 1:15:32told Schottner, I wish I could remember. She added that
- 1:15:36she was deliberately covering for Carter, who denies Ward's claims.
- 1:15:40Who denied Ward's claims, So you were covering for Carter,
- 1:15:43proving that you're willing to lie, proving that you're willing
- 1:15:46to not have a backbone. So again, blow the whole
- 1:15:49entire thing up. They both get their share of the blame.
- 1:15:52Vicky Ward as the author, Vicky Ward as the person
- 1:15:54who's supposed to have the confidence of these girls, completely
- 1:15:57blew the confidence out of the water, and now here
- 1:16:00we are. Twenty eleven was a year I made a
- 1:16:06lot of bad decisions, Ward said, mentioning that she was
- 1:16:08going through a divorce. I was not mentally well. Oh please,
- 1:16:12none of us are mentally well. Okay, try waking up
- 1:16:14every single morning and not knowing where your next meal's
- 1:16:18coming from or if your bills are going to be
- 1:16:20paid that month. Chotner pressed Ward on why she wrote
- 1:16:25the twenty eleven essay in light of her claims that
- 1:16:27Epstein threatened her before the first prile A profile was published.
- 1:16:31She replied, in part, I think the reason I did
- 1:16:34it was that the media industry was imploding. And this
- 1:16:37may seem bizarre, but by being able to write about
- 1:16:39it so flippantly, I think it made me feel good. Actually,
- 1:16:43the media was imploding. It's been imploding forever. So you
- 1:16:46writing for about Epstein or this story is going to
- 1:16:49save the media complex. Imagine having this kind of opinion
- 1:16:53of yourself. Ward isn't the only high profile reporter covering
- 1:16:58the Epstein case to come under fire. Last week. Victims
- 1:17:01Courtney Wilde and Haley Robson filed a defamation suit against
- 1:17:05storied Miami Herald journalist Julie K. Brown, saying she mis
- 1:17:10excuse me, saying she misrepresented their stories in her twenty
- 1:17:14and twenty one book. Well, folks, again, that's why this
- 1:17:18podcast exists, so that we can go through these stories
- 1:17:21that come out on a daily basis, pick them apart,
- 1:17:24find the golden gems, and discard the rest of it.
- 1:17:28Because it's not just been Vicky Ward covering for Epstein.
- 1:17:32It was the whole entire media complex up until about
- 1:17:34twenty nineteen. So for these clowns to act like, you know, oh,
- 1:17:39it was just Vicky Ward or just Drayden Carter, that's
- 1:17:41a joke. But what Vicky Ward and Graydon Carter did here,
- 1:17:46according to Maria and Annie, absolutely out of bounds, and honestly,
- 1:17:52it goes a long way with helping Jeffrey Epstein and
- 1:17:55Glenn Maxwell continue to do this. So Vicky Ward coming
- 1:18:01out here trying to defend herself while she's more than uh,
- 1:18:05you know, able to do that, right, she should have
- 1:18:07the right to defend herself. Again, it falls flat to me.
- 1:18:11There's nothing there in this defense that would make me say, ah,
- 1:18:14you know what, maybe I should reevaluate this, especially considering
- 1:18:17I've I've I've spoken with Maria personally, so I don't
- 1:18:22buy any of it. I've never bought Vicky Ward's story
- 1:18:25and I've never really thought of her as a reliable
- 1:18:28narrator as usual, though I'll leave that up to you
- 1:18:32folks to decide that's gonna do it for this morning's update.
- 1:18:36I'll be back later on tonight obviously with you know,
