- 0:27Speaker 2: Day today?

- 0:34Speaker 2: I'm going fine, how are you? My handle seat does

- 0:40Speaker 5: Do something special for your 70 dogs.
- 0:43Speaker 2: I will do something nice for my man. Your dog?
- 0:48Speaker 2: And it's National Nut Day. Who here loves nuts?
- 0:51Speaker 1: I do.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah. Also, if you could celebrate, you could have almonds, cashews, pistachios. Oh,
- 0:56Speaker 2: those kind of nuts. Yes. Wow, you thought they were D's?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Hey, Ted, what's up, man? You're on the air. Good morning.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Long-time listener, first-time calling out of Tucson.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Right on, man.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Just 2,000 guys. I just wanted to weigh in on
- 1:12Speaker 3: Elmer's story about him seeing that tall guy with the
- 1:16Speaker 3: top hat on That's kind of a well-known entity, although
- 1:20Speaker 3: he's usually all black, and he's known as the Hat Man.
- 1:25Speaker 3: And generally, you can get him from dabbling in things like...
- 1:28Speaker 3: He's kind of like an attachment entity, and you can
- 1:32Speaker 3: get him from playing with the Ouija board and stuff
- 1:36Speaker 3: like that. He can start following you through that, so
- 1:38Speaker 3: maybe that's what this guy's dad was dabbling in way
- 1:41Speaker 3: back in the day.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Oh, that's interesting.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Aaron Rodgers, the football player, he... He actually has experiences
- 1:50Speaker 3: with the hat man ever since he went and did ayahuasca.
- 1:53Speaker 3: So you can look that up. And apparently the hat
- 1:56Speaker 3: man is actually a guy who used to live named
- 1:59Speaker 3: Papa Legba. And he was a voodoo witch doctor.
- 2:03Speaker 6: Okay, first of all, you're talking about Elmer who said
- 2:04Speaker 6: he described everything you just said Elmer said. But it
- 2:06Speaker 6: was a man in white with a white top hat.
- 2:10Speaker 6: You're saying it's real, but it's a guy in black.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Right. And I'm just saying it could be the same
- 2:15Speaker 3: guy just in a, you know.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Switching it up? Switching up his wardrobe? Kyle, you have
- 2:20Speaker 2: your computer open. Can you Google him? What's the guy's name?
- 2:22Speaker 2: What's his name?
- 2:22Speaker 4: Hatman.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Hatman, but also the real name.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Hatman.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Papa Legba.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Papa Legba. I think it's L-E-G-B-A. Hold on. What do
- 2:31Speaker 2: you got, Kyle? Like Papa, P-A-P-A, L-E-G-G-A? Kyle has access
- 2:34Speaker 2: to the World Wide Web. But you can't hear very well.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And we're one of those modern shows. Oh, it's like
- 2:39Speaker 2: West African voodoo. Like he's voodooing our story. One at
- 2:42Speaker 2: a time. One at a time. Ooh, he's scary. That
- 2:44Speaker 2: is a scary guy. I wouldn't want to.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Mess with that. Aaron Rodgers, the football player. Look that
- 2:55Speaker 3: article up.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Okay. This is like the voodoo man.
- 2:58Speaker 3: We got to let Elmer know.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:05Speaker 2: The good news is, is Hat Man does not come
- 3:07Speaker 2: unless invoked first.
- 3:09Speaker 5: So you have to sort of invite him in, just
- 3:11Speaker 5: kind of like what you said, Ouija board, other.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Ways of doing it. Isn't the man with the hat
- 3:15Speaker 2: the guy that was in charge of Curious George?
- 3:16Speaker 4: That's right.
- 3:17Speaker 2: The man with the yellow hat. But that's the yellow hat.
- 3:20Speaker 2: That's the yellow hat.
- 3:22Speaker 5: So, Ted, there was this thing floating around the internet.
- 3:26Speaker 5: I would say maybe five years ago that people were
- 3:29Speaker 5: seeing the same guy in their dream. And when they
- 3:32Speaker 5: did a police sketch, He was sort of a guy
- 3:34Speaker 5: with a receding hairline. Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 3:37Speaker 5: And everybody would go on the internet and go, yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 5: I've seen that guy too in my dream. Just a
- 3:43Speaker 5: dream about a dude.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I know who you're talking about.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So whatever became of that? Just a phenomenon?
- 3:53Speaker 3: I'm not sure, but I know Hat Man is more
- 3:56Speaker 3: widespread and has haunted lots and lots of people within
- 4:00Speaker 3: the last 30 years that I've seen on the internets. Luckily,
- 4:04Speaker 3: I've never seen him.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Thank God. I don't want to bring him up anymore.
- 4:07Speaker 2: It's like Princess and the Frog, the voodoo man from there.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Thanks for calling in, dude. Thank you, Ted. Love you guys.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Been listening for almost 30 years.
- 4:16Speaker 2: God bless.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Have a great day.
- 4:17Speaker 6: I like the way Ted goes, I think I know
- 4:19Speaker 6: what you're talking about. That's not what I'm talking about, Rich.
- 4:22Speaker 6: It was like he was doing some sort of song.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Michael, good morning. You have a scary story, Michael? Yes,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I do.
- 4:30Speaker 4: I grew up in a neighborhood where it was just haunted.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Everybody had some sort of story about kids at the
- 4:35Speaker 4: end of their bed parties going on when they're in
- 4:37Speaker 4: the shower, things of that nature. But for me specifically, um,
- 4:42Speaker 4: the house I was in, like I lived in the basement,
- 4:44Speaker 4: we had a basement and some, you know, sometimes, you know,
- 4:47Speaker 4: I would just be sitting there watching TV and somebody
- 4:50Speaker 4: would be walking by my door and I'm just, I
- 4:52Speaker 4: would literally get up and be like, hello, is anybody there? So,
- 4:56Speaker 4: One night, like three nights in a row, you know
- 4:58Speaker 4: how you would watch the TV and the station would
- 5:00Speaker 4: go out and the TV would just go blank? Three
- 5:05Speaker 4: nights in a row, I woke up at 2 o'clock
- 5:08Speaker 4: on the dot, and on the third night, I woke
- 5:11Speaker 4: up and I'm like, dude, this is just weird. Why
- 5:12Speaker 4: do I keep waking up exactly at 2 o'clock? And
- 5:15Speaker 4: then the TV is on, it's still illuminating the room,
- 5:17Speaker 4: but I look on the ground and there's this black
- 5:20Speaker 4: shape that almost looked like a dog, but I couldn't
- 5:22Speaker 4: see through it. So I start sitting up and I'm like,
- 5:25Speaker 4: what the heck is that? And it shot into the air.
- 5:28Speaker 4: It almost looked like a white mist and it hit
- 5:30Speaker 4: me in the chest to the point where I went, oof,
- 5:33Speaker 4: and it started shaking me. So I didn't really know
- 5:35Speaker 4: what to do at that point. I just, I think
- 5:37Speaker 4: I started praying and slowly but surely it stopped shaking me.
- 5:40Speaker 4: But yeah, that was my scary story. At that point,
- 5:44Speaker 4: I told my mom what happened. She's just like, hey,
- 5:46Speaker 4: ask God not to see these things but man I
- 5:49Speaker 4: was just like other people would spend the night at
- 5:51Speaker 4: their house they would see like a ghost in her
- 5:53Speaker 4: room our dogs would continually like run into corners and
- 5:56Speaker 4: bark at something that wasn't there but it never got physical.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Until that one night that's crazy what city.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Were you in I was in San Jose California oh
- 6:05Speaker 4: San Jose.
- 6:06Speaker 2: And do you know the way to San.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Jose yeah it was close to an Indian burial ground
- 6:12Speaker 1: oh there you go that's all you have to say
- 6:15Speaker 1: for sure messing with some stuff there That's what Poltergeist was, too.
- 6:20Speaker 5: That movie Poltergeist, where they built a subdivision on an
- 6:23Speaker 5: ancient Indian burial ground.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Oh, Jesus. All right, Michael.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Well, that was my scary part.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good one, man. Thank you very much, man.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Thanks for sharing that. It's the scary story and the
- 6:33Speaker 2: scariest thing that ever happened to you. We're sprinkling them
- 6:35Speaker 2: all the way up until Halloween. And then what? Turkey
- 6:40Speaker 2: stories after that. Scary turkey stories. All the way until Thanksgiving.
- 6:44Speaker 2: You got a ghost turkey? We want to hear about
- 6:45Speaker 2: that ghost turkey. We want to hear about it.
