  here. Last time, we learned about the tabernacle,

  the beautiful tent where God lived among his

  people as they traveled through the wilderness.

  God showed the Israelites that he was with them

  and would lead them every step of the way. Today,

  The Israelites are about to reach the land God
• 0:30
  promised them. But when they send spies to look
• 0:34
  at the land, they face a big test, will they
• 0:37
  trust God? Or give in to fear? Are you ready?

  Let's begin. After traveling through the wilderness,
• 0:57
  the Israelites came close to the land God had
• 1:01
  promised to give them, a land called Canaan.
• 1:05
  God told Moses to choose twelve men, one from
• 1:09
  each tribe, to go into the land and explore it.
• 1:13
  They were to see what the land was like, what
• 1:17
  the cities looked like, and what kinds of people
• 1:20
  lived there. The twelve spies left and spent
• 1:24
  forty days exploring. They saw big cities, tall
• 1:28
  walls, and strong people. But they also saw beautiful
• 1:33
  fields, green trees, and the biggest bunches
• 1:37
  of grapes they had ever seen. It was truly a
• 1:41
  good land, just as God had said. When the spies
• 1:45
  came back, they gave their report to the people.

  Ten of the spies said, The land is good, but
• 1:54
  the people there are giants. Their cities are
• 1:57
  too strong. We'll never win. But two of the spies,
• 2:03
  Joshua and Caleb, told a different story. They
• 2:08
  said, Yes, the land has strong people, but God
• 2:13
  is with us. He will help us. Let's go in and
• 2:18
  take the land he promised. But the people listened
• 2:22
  to the ten spies who were afraid. They started
• 2:25
  crying and complaining. Some even said they wanted
• 2:30
  to go back to Egypt. They had forgotten how powerful
• 2:34
  God is, the same God who parted the sea and gave
• 2:37
  them food from heaven. Because the people didn't
• 2:47
  trust God. they were not allowed to enter the
• 2:50
  promised land right away. God told them they
• 2:54
  would have to wait and wander in the wilderness
• 2:57
  for forty more years. Only Joshua and Caleb,
• 3:01
  the two faithful spies, would be allowed to enter
• 3:05
  the land later. Even though the people made a
• 3:10
  bad choice, God didn't stop loving them. He still
• 3:15
  gave them food, water, and his presence. But
• 3:19
  they missed out on his plan because they didn't
• 3:22
  trust him. Have you ever been afraid to do something
• 3:30
  hard, even when you knew it was right? The Israelites
• 3:36
  had a choice. Trust God, or let fear stop them.
• 3:41
  Sometimes we face hard things too. and we might
• 3:45
  feel small. But just like Joshua and Caleb said,
• 3:50
  we don't face those things alone. God is with
• 3:54
  us. This part of the story teaches us something
• 3:59
  important. Trusting God isn't always easy, especially
• 4:04
  when things feel scary. But God's promises are
• 4:08
  always true. He sees the whole picture. even
• 4:13
  when we only see big walls and giants. When we
• 4:17
  trust God, we can move forward with courage even
• 4:21
  when we feel small. Let's think about a few things
