- 1:35Speaker 3: birthday on the way today, August twenty fourth. Today is
- 1:39Speaker 3: National Knife Day. Cool cool, yeah, I mean people get
- 1:44Speaker 3: into uh into knives, like collecting knives the same way
- 1:46Speaker 3: people do with guns or or anything else.
- 1:49Speaker 5: But you see those shows and those people are out there.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, Like I think a knife is cool, but
- 1:53Speaker 3: like those some of those bigger ones, I guess, unless
- 1:56Speaker 3: you're doing a lot of outdoor stuff, I just don't
- 1:58Speaker 3: see what real purpose.
- 1:59Speaker 6: He got a huge buck knife, Yeah, awesome.
- 2:02Speaker 3: But to have to have one, I'm saying with the
- 2:03Speaker 3: guys who end up collecting a ton of them, Like,
- 2:05Speaker 3: what do you do with them?
- 2:06Speaker 6: I look at him, I guess Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Today's Kobe Bryant Day. Yes, Today's National Peach Pie Day.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I do love peach. Peach is good and tis the
- 2:16Speaker 3: season for peaches. But you got to move quick, man,
- 2:19Speaker 3: Like you get the peaches home. You got about four
- 2:21Speaker 3: minutes before they mold and get to get crappy. And
- 2:25Speaker 3: Today's National Waffle Day. Let's let's go that waffle. You
- 2:30Speaker 3: let me a waffle menace. Today in history, it was today,
- 2:34Speaker 3: in nineteen eighty nine that Pete Rose was banned from
- 2:38Speaker 3: baseball for life or for gambling on baseball, right yeah, yeah, my,
- 2:45Speaker 3: how times have changed. You can gamble on anything. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 3: and you can get like the thing is, it hasn't
- 2:51Speaker 3: become a problem at all.
- 2:51Speaker 6: No no, no, no no no. Yeah, and you can
- 2:54Speaker 6: get a huge contract after too.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Why does it seem like the majority of people
- 2:59Speaker 3: who do on the regular gamble, Why is it always
- 3:03Speaker 3: people who have no real money to gamble? You know
- 3:06Speaker 3: what I mean? Like I mean, there are the people
- 3:08Speaker 3: who are really playing with fire, like these aren't the
- 3:10Speaker 3: people who just got it like that.
- 3:12Speaker 5: It's like they're down to their last twenty bucks. They're
- 3:14Speaker 5: off playing the lotto.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Like my uncle, he's a scratcher guy, you know
- 3:17Speaker 3: what I mean. And he will borrow money from like
- 3:20Speaker 3: my aunt Chrissy to go get a scratcher, saying I'll
- 3:23Speaker 3: get you on Friday. Yea, And he does and he
- 3:25Speaker 3: does pay her back. But it's like, I don't know, man,
- 3:28Speaker 3: maybe not by the scratcher.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Yeah, you just help me for.
- 3:33Speaker 3: One day. The next one, dude. You know who's got
- 3:35Speaker 3: really into gambling all of a sudden, Now it's my
- 3:37Speaker 3: my uncle Tim and Chris nice.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Yeah, what's he gambling?
- 3:41Speaker 3: Lots lots.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Oh damn dude, he.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Loves it really Yeah.
- 3:46Speaker 5: Does he ever win? He says he does. Yeah, and
- 3:50Speaker 5: he's a responsible guy, right, you.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Know what I mean? I don't think he would get
- 3:53Speaker 3: in over his head to where were where would be
- 3:56Speaker 3: a problem. And who is my aunt Chrissy to say
- 3:58Speaker 3: anything to him, because she's been her money on beer and.
- 4:00Speaker 5: We she's got no habits at all. I wish you
- 4:04Speaker 5: should judge.
- 4:04Speaker 7: I could just hit like one big jackpot once, so
- 4:08Speaker 7: does everybody? Yeah, just one terrible one.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Can you write that down under under MENACE's best advice?
- 4:18Speaker 3: What was the other one about stocks? Greg? You wrote
- 4:19Speaker 3: it down? So this is crazy?
- 4:22Speaker 5: Said this to us number of years ago, by low
- 4:25Speaker 5: and then sell high?
- 4:26Speaker 7: Right in those exact words, those exact words what I said,
- 4:30Speaker 7: Write them down.
- 4:32Speaker 5: That's why I wrote him down. Food is too hot,
- 4:34Speaker 5: put in the freezer for a minute, because and then
- 4:37Speaker 5: if your ice.
- 4:37Speaker 6: Cream is you know, you freak it up.
- 4:39Speaker 5: You put it in the right that eats things up.
- 4:42Speaker 3: See, yeah, I got you, all right. So what hobby
- 4:45Speaker 3: do you secretly judge people for having? Uh, I'll list here,
- 4:50Speaker 3: I'll list a bunch of that people said, and then
- 4:52Speaker 3: you could tell me, out of all of these, which
- 4:54Speaker 3: one do you judge the most? Okay, these are these
- 4:58Speaker 3: are people submissions. These are not mine, the ones that
- 5:00Speaker 3: you judge. I'm just I'm just passing them off. So
- 5:03Speaker 3: anybody who wants to get offended because THEIRS is on here,
- 5:06Speaker 3: all right? Whatever? All right. So people who make their
- 5:08Speaker 3: entire personality about collecting funko pops. Yeah, I'm not saying
- 5:14Speaker 3: it's wrong, but at some point the boxes start looking
- 5:16Speaker 3: like they're paying rent.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, So there's that.
- 5:19Speaker 3: One collecting expensive sneakers that never actually get worn.
- 5:24Speaker 6: No, I wear mine.
- 5:26Speaker 3: What's a hobby? You secretly judge people for having anything
- 5:28Speaker 3: that involves street racing or revving cars so loud that
- 5:33Speaker 3: people in restaurants are in their own homes can't hear conversations.
- 5:37Speaker 6: A hobby.
- 5:39Speaker 3: The car guys, Yeah, the gearhead guys, you know. But
- 5:42Speaker 3: actually there's a difference right between the gearheads. Those are
- 5:45Speaker 3: guys to me that are into like working on cars.
- 5:47Speaker 3: They fix them up more the mechanical side of things,
- 5:49Speaker 3: not these guys who are just.
- 5:50Speaker 6: Into show voting them flow masters.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah, not the racing, drifting, you know, street takeover kind
- 5:57Speaker 3: of guys, all right, what's a hobby you secretly judge
- 6:00Speaker 3: people for having. I'll go through some more here, crawling
- 6:02Speaker 3: through caves like I can't get my head around the idea.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Why would you want to put yourself in danger, especially
- 6:06Speaker 3: if you have a loving family. Now you've seen you've
- 6:09Speaker 3: seen those guys. Oh yeah, yeah, trophy hunting. Somebody said,
- 6:13Speaker 3: being overly invested in fantasy sports leagues. Competitive eating. I
- 6:19Speaker 3: understand liking food, but damn rules, that's enjoyable.
- 6:24Speaker 6: See.
- 6:24Speaker 3: People who like to say their hobbies are things like
- 6:27Speaker 3: finance or investing always make me feel like they're on
- 6:30Speaker 3: some kind of performative grind set bs and they don't
- 6:33Speaker 3: want you thinking they spend a single minute of their
- 6:35Speaker 3: day not being productive. Treaty. Yeah you know who. That
- 6:39Speaker 3: sounds like, not the finance thing, but like they don't
- 6:41Speaker 3: spend a single moment of their day not being productive.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Oh okay, oh Baldy mcco. Yeah, he's not the room
- 6:49Speaker 3: to defend himself, to be fair, because he's so busy,
- 6:52Speaker 3: he's so busy, he's so efficient, he's just being productive
- 6:54Speaker 3: all the time. And then brand fanaticism of any kind,
- 7:00Speaker 3: like you collect Stanley or Nike or whatever it is, Lululemon,
- 7:04Speaker 3: funkal Pops, whatever. Someone says, I'm judging the f out
- 7:07Speaker 3: of you companies are not a personality, and then I'll
- 7:11Speaker 3: give you one more. Obsessing too much over a sport
- 7:14Speaker 3: to the point it's your entire personality.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Millions of those people, all right?
- 7:18Speaker 3: So out of all those, which one do you secretly
- 7:22Speaker 3: judge people for having? I don't secretly judge anybody. Yeah,
- 7:26Speaker 3: I openly judge. I will openly judge. Out of all those,
- 7:29Speaker 3: the one I think is the most annoying and like
- 7:31Speaker 3: the douchiest of the of the group is the street
- 7:34Speaker 3: racing revn cars guys, and not like cars as much
- 7:38Speaker 3: as the next guy.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Like a cool car, like a fast car.
- 7:41Speaker 8: You know.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I have one on the top of my list.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Was not on that list.
- 7:46Speaker 3: What's that? The golf addict? Oh yeah, golf. God.
- 7:51Speaker 5: Even if there's downtime, Let's say you're waiting for a
- 7:53Speaker 5: table at a restaurant and they're standing in the lobby
- 7:55Speaker 5: of the restaurant, They're gonna stand there and like act pretend.
- 7:59Speaker 7: You get that in boxing right shadow anywhere?
- 8:10Speaker 3: All right?
- 8:10Speaker 9: Uh?
- 8:11Speaker 3: What about you menace?
- 8:13Speaker 7: Well, I was gonna agree with you on the revving
- 8:16Speaker 7: of the engines and stuff like that. My thing is
- 8:18Speaker 7: because I know there's like standard cars that can go
- 8:22Speaker 7: much faster than this car that you put so much
- 8:24Speaker 7: work into to annoy people.
- 8:26Speaker 3: All right, So that's your vote, all right.
- 8:29Speaker 10: Sammy, mine is that same vote because they're also just
- 8:32Speaker 10: trying to get so much attention from it, right, like
- 8:34Speaker 10: the revn the engine.
- 8:35Speaker 11: As they drive by, You're like, we get.
- 8:37Speaker 5: It, you're here, Jeff G.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Can I go off board?
- 8:42Speaker 3: Like Greg? Sure?
- 8:45Speaker 6: Disney adults, I love Disney like anybody else. I do.
- 8:50Speaker 12: My wife works for that wonderful company. But the people
- 8:54Speaker 12: that make Disneyland their whole personality, it's too so it's
- 8:58Speaker 12: a little bit much for me.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Like the guy, what are they what do they call
- 9:01Speaker 3: like the Gangs of of Disney. They look like Sons
- 9:04Speaker 3: of Anarchy characters?
- 9:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yeah, shut up?
- 9:09Speaker 11: Plus sized park croppers? You know about them?
- 9:11Speaker 8: No?
- 9:12Speaker 3: No?
- 9:12Speaker 6: Yeah, well look them up?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah? All right, Morgan? Which one?
- 9:15Speaker 8: Oh?
- 9:15Speaker 11: I do back Jeff G on that.
- 9:17Speaker 13: But I gotta say, like the funko pop slash collecting
- 9:20Speaker 13: toys as an adult, you know something about that ride?
- 9:24Speaker 13: Do you know someone who does that any PTSD surrounding them, So.
- 9:28Speaker 5: We all know, we all know those people.
- 9:30Speaker 3: But it's it's crazy now when you see the videos
- 9:33Speaker 3: of adults fighting in front of a Pokemon machine at a.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Grocery store or wherever it is.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean the pop stuff has definitely fallen off
- 9:43Speaker 7: and it's just a big time Yeah, moved on. I
- 9:46Speaker 7: think it's just the trading car people now that are
- 9:48Speaker 7: just like fighting each other and then honestly, like they
- 9:52Speaker 7: call them ripping packs and they rip them and then
- 9:54Speaker 7: they just like throw them on the ground when they
- 9:56Speaker 7: don't have any cars that they are worth any value.
- 10:00Speaker 6: It's so dune.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Now, keep in mind, you are free to love and
- 10:03Speaker 3: be passionate and have whatever hobby or interest that you
- 10:06Speaker 3: would like. It is fine. Everybody else is also free
- 10:10Speaker 3: to have their opinion. Or if I'm asking someone, which
- 10:13Speaker 3: one do you agree with the most from all these
- 10:15Speaker 3: ones that people submitted. Now, somebody did say, considering my
- 10:18Speaker 3: own hobbies include magic, the gathering, and writing fan fiction
- 10:23Speaker 3: while being in my late thirties, I quite enjoy my
- 10:26Speaker 3: own glass house and really can't throw any stones. So
- 10:30Speaker 3: whatever it is that you're into, I'm sure there's somebody
- 10:32Speaker 3: else out there dogging on that, so for sure, Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 3: I just keep that in mind all right. Time for
- 10:37Speaker 3: your birthdays and your Monday porno birthday show Shivery. It's shivery.
- 10:46Speaker 14: We don't sit because it's shiversday, and you know we don't.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Speaking of a dors who makes something their entire personality.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Harry Potter, Oh God, Rupert Grint Ron Weasley from the
- 10:57Speaker 3: Harry Potter films. He's thirty eight years old today, starting
- 11:00Speaker 3: off our celebrity birthdays like they're good movies. I have
- 11:04Speaker 3: not read the books, never seen a movie, never read
- 11:06Speaker 3: of You've never.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Seen one neither really never. You couldn't drag me to
- 11:11Speaker 5: one of those.
- 11:11Speaker 3: No, I mean, and I'm I'm most of the time
- 11:14Speaker 3: the same way as you. Greg like a lot of
- 11:15Speaker 3: that stuff, right, But I thought the movies were fun. Yeah,
- 11:20Speaker 3: I've only seen two of the first one and then
- 11:22Speaker 3: maybe like the third one.
- 11:24Speaker 5: I kid you not. I'd rather watch a musical you would.
- 11:27Speaker 11: Oh yeah, I was just about to say Harry Potter's
- 11:28Speaker 11: kind of gay. Right for a guy like Harry Potter.
- 11:32Speaker 3: It's just like nuclear mushroom cloud dork uh. Dave Chappelle
- 11:38Speaker 3: is fifty three. You got Chad Michael Murray from Gilmore Girls,

- 11:51Speaker 3: Chad Michael Murray is forty five. You got cal Ripken Junior,

- 12:02Speaker 3: good Steve Gutenberg Mahoney from the Police Academy Films. Didn't
- 12:07Speaker 3: you do a cameo for us once?
- 12:08Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 12:08Speaker 3: He did? Awesome. Steve Gutenberg is gonna have a hell

- 14:20Speaker 6: Oh my god.
- 14:21Speaker 15: So he's like cold grease.
- 14:26Speaker 2: The Woody Show.
- 14:29Speaker 3: And we're into another new hour Woody. Greg minis Yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 3: Gina grad is back. Hi phones are open eight seven
- 14:38Speaker 3: seven forty four. Wooding text us over to two to
- 14:41Speaker 3: nine eight seven. Yeah. So Gina, we'll start with you
- 14:45Speaker 3: cheers and jeers.
- 14:46Speaker 15: I'll start with my jeers. This is an age thing
- 14:49Speaker 15: because it was not like this ten years ago, twenty
- 14:53Speaker 15: years ago. I have started going to more funerals than weddings,
- 14:58Speaker 15: and it has not always been like this. It's crazy,
- 15:01Speaker 15: like in your twenties and your thirties, you feel like
- 15:03Speaker 15: you got a wedding to go to like every other weekend,
- 15:06Speaker 15: and you hear somebody dies and you're like, oh weird.
- 15:08Speaker 15: And now it's like funeral announcement after obituary after obituary,
- 15:14Speaker 15: and then it's like, I haven't been anybody's wedding.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, because you're you're like, let's just say fifty, right,
- 15:20Speaker 3: forty eight. I'm saying like fifty, you know what I mean?
- 15:24Speaker 6: Right, so you're fifty two, you're fifty. That's a wikipedia.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Now it's it's family members, it's ants in this case uncle,
- 15:31Speaker 3: you know, grandparents might have died a while ago. But
- 15:33Speaker 3: like now you start getting into the aunts and the
- 15:35Speaker 3: uncles and it becomes parents and things like that. When
- 15:38Speaker 3: it's I think starts getting really weird from talking to
- 15:41Speaker 3: people is when it starts being your peer group. Absolutely, yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 3: you know, like it's people your own age, and now
- 15:48Speaker 3: you're the one in.
- 15:48Speaker 5: God's waiting room, you know, which is.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Why you know, when I talk to people about the
- 15:53Speaker 3: idea of retirement at some point or because those are
- 15:55Speaker 3: the conversation. You start having empty nest, kids going off
- 15:58Speaker 3: to college. Oh, next up from that would be retirement.
- 16:01Speaker 3: But then what that that's the end?
- 16:02Speaker 11: Yeah, that's so slide.
- 16:04Speaker 3: So when people go, man, don't wish time away. You know,
- 16:07Speaker 3: like when you have little kids and they're so annoying
- 16:09Speaker 3: and they're into everything, and I go, man, I would
- 16:11Speaker 3: just love it to be where you know, they're independent.
- 16:14Speaker 3: You're going to miss that time and it goes so
- 16:16Speaker 3: fast and then blink of an eye, it's all over.
- 16:19Speaker 3: You're going to get to that point where eventually it
- 16:21Speaker 3: is just kind of over, like the next thing, like
- 16:23Speaker 3: you retire. But then the next thing is that's the
- 16:26Speaker 3: end is death? Right, Yeah, exactly, it's and that's that's
- 16:31Speaker 3: a mind aff and I that's where you know, I'm
- 16:33Speaker 3: sure people get into, you know, just getting depressed.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Yeah, well that's what I was talking about. Just recently,
- 16:39Speaker 7: I my phone calls become not good phone, right, you know,
- 16:43Speaker 7: like I.
- 16:43Speaker 15: Didn't think this was a texting message.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Yeah, So what are the rules of the Jew funeral stuff?
- 16:47Speaker 3: So like within twenty four forty hours?
- 16:50Speaker 15: Well, you know, I box.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 15: I think it's just depends on how religious you are,
- 16:54Speaker 15: but I think I think in general it's within seventy
- 16:56Speaker 15: two hours. So I got the call. Was it Tuesday?
- 17:01Speaker 15: So I flew out Wednesday? Funeral?
- 17:04Speaker 11: It was Thursday.
- 17:05Speaker 15: So it's fad that you sit shiva, which is like
- 17:07Speaker 15: a wake, and then you sit at the person's house
- 17:09Speaker 15: and you have these little.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Ribbons exactly cover the mirrors.
- 17:14Speaker 6: And we didn't.
- 17:15Speaker 15: I mean they didn't, but you know, this is at
- 17:17Speaker 15: our friend's house. But and yeah, you cover the mirrors,
- 17:20Speaker 15: you sit and you you know whatever, do that for
- 17:22Speaker 15: a week. Again, it depends how religious you are. I
- 17:26Speaker 15: came home, I'm here.
- 17:27Speaker 7: So I did that.
- 17:28Speaker 15: But yeah, it's it's just you know, and for Jews,
- 17:31Speaker 15: everything is a reason to eat. So you know, you
- 17:33Speaker 15: bring a bunch of food over.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I think it's most people. Yeah, that's true celebration. That's
- 17:38Speaker 3: always cake because there are a cake, the funeral cake.
- 17:40Speaker 15: There was no funeral cake. Potatoes that's not a Jewish thing.
- 17:45Speaker 15: It's the best, you know, the cheesey potatoes with like
- 17:46Speaker 15: the corn flakes on top.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Why do they call those sandwiches funeral sandwiches.
- 17:50Speaker 5: I think because they serve them at receptions.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Yeah, they got popular. I mean I've been to a
- 17:55Speaker 3: lot of funerals. I don't ever remember those being served there,
- 17:58Speaker 3: but they're called funerals Amich. Those are good that has
- 18:02Speaker 3: like the butter and the onion and stuff kind of
- 18:04Speaker 3: brushed over the top of the right.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I don't think you have to make them the night before.
- 18:09Speaker 3: And it's like actually Jews wouldn't be down with this
- 18:12Speaker 3: either because it's got it's got ham, and it's got Swiss.
- 18:15Speaker 6: So there's meat and dairy and meat and dairy co
- 18:18Speaker 6: plus the ham.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Then you put it on the rolls like yeah, basically
- 18:23Speaker 3: like those little like roll yeah yew soft rolls at
- 18:27Speaker 3: the dinner roll kind of thing. And then you brush
- 18:29Speaker 3: over the top with like a butter just it's like
- 18:32Speaker 3: a butter and a garlic and something else on the top,
- 18:35Speaker 3: and then you cover it foil. You put it in
- 18:36Speaker 3: the refrigerator overnight, and then the next day then you
- 18:38Speaker 3: put those in.
- 18:39Speaker 6: The other I see.
- 18:40Speaker 15: Oh, and then it's like one sheet of bread.
- 18:41Speaker 3: At the bottom and it's almost like caramelized or there's something.
- 18:45Speaker 3: There's something that's so good. Yeah, there's like some like
- 18:48Speaker 3: grainy like mustard on the inside. So good.
- 18:52Speaker 15: This is just a lot of like chicken. The other
- 18:58Speaker 15: thing that I don't think non Jewish for les do
- 19:00Speaker 15: at least as a as a tradition is you line
- 19:03Speaker 15: up after this at the graveside and you uh, you
- 19:06Speaker 15: shovel dirt on your casket.
- 19:08Speaker 6: That's a Catholic thing.
- 19:09Speaker 15: It is, And that's the thing I love about religion
- 19:12Speaker 15: is like that's like a psychological way of like understanding
- 19:16Speaker 15: that it's over. You know. I think there's like there's
- 19:19Speaker 15: some good traditions, but I'm just sick of these funerals.
- 19:21Speaker 8: Man.
- 19:21Speaker 6: Yeah, I know.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Remember the last time I went to a wedding. It
- 19:27Speaker 5: might have been boards I.
- 19:28Speaker 15: Think it mine, might have been mine.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Wow. It's also like when you start getting to the
- 19:31Speaker 3: age where your friend's kids are getting married, yeah, or
- 19:36Speaker 3: your friend's kids are having kids, and so now like.
- 19:39Speaker 6: Your buddy is a grandfather, Like, it's so weird.
- 19:43Speaker 3: I'm saying it is. It's a mind, it's a mind.
- 19:46Speaker 15: But I have to say my cheers is being neighborly.
- 19:49Speaker 15: I love living in a neighborhood where like that's expected.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Now.
- 19:53Speaker 15: I was walking Little Pip last night and this suv
- 19:57Speaker 15: pulled up and she had a woman and like maybe
- 19:59Speaker 15: it's ten year old girl inside, and they seemed upset,
- 20:02Speaker 15: and she said, I'm lost. My phone died. We don't
- 20:06Speaker 15: know where we're going. Is there any way I can
- 20:07Speaker 15: borrow your phone?
- 20:08Speaker 3: Scam?
- 20:09Speaker 15: That's what I thought. I didn't like it. I'm like,
- 20:12Speaker 15: who doesn't have their phone charge? So what I did
- 20:15Speaker 15: was I was like, so, I said, what is the number?
- 20:17Speaker 15: You want to call it? And I put on speaker
- 20:19Speaker 15: and held it because I was like, I don't maybe
- 20:21Speaker 15: she's gonna.
- 20:21Speaker 11: Run with them my phone.
- 20:22Speaker 15: But then the girl started crying. She's like the ten
- 20:25Speaker 15: year old, and I was like, okay, fine, So I
- 20:28Speaker 15: handed the mom on my phone and while the girl cries,
- 20:29Speaker 15: said you want to come out and pat my dog
- 20:31Speaker 15: and cheered her up and whatever. So she finally got
- 20:34Speaker 15: ahold of the husband. They wrote down the directions and
- 20:37Speaker 15: I was like, yeah, good luck finding it, old timer.
- 20:39Speaker 15: How are you going to find it just because.
- 20:40Speaker 3: You go one map quest?
- 20:42Speaker 15: Yeah, I don't know how you find it now, But
- 20:43Speaker 15: that seemed to make them feel better. The little girl
- 20:46Speaker 15: got back in the car and she wasn't crying anymore.
- 20:48Speaker 15: I think they were going to a party or something,
- 20:49Speaker 15: because I heard her talking and you know, leaving a message.
- 20:53Speaker 15: And the mom said, well, just tell Mike that we're sorry.
- 20:56Speaker 15: You know, we've been driving. So I'm glad I did it.
- 21:00Speaker 7: Cheers and jeers, well, cheers. The airplanes.
- 21:02Speaker 6: Man like airplanes, and you need to take advantage of them.
- 21:07Speaker 7: Because in a forty eight hour period, I got to
- 21:10Speaker 7: like hang out with so many friends and family and
- 21:13Speaker 7: listeners for you know, different events, and it was just
- 21:17Speaker 7: across the country. And I recently just met a listener
- 21:21Speaker 7: who has not flown since they were sixteen years old.
- 21:24Speaker 7: They're in their mid thirties, and I'm like, you're missing
- 21:27Speaker 7: out on so much, Greg, No, by just enough not
- 21:31Speaker 7: taking an advantage, dude.
- 21:33Speaker 6: It's so impressive.
- 21:34Speaker 7: And I know, like people will like complain and like, oh,
- 21:36Speaker 7: there's delays and things like that, and it's like hearing it.
- 21:39Speaker 6: Dude.
- 21:40Speaker 7: Back in the day you had to go horse and
- 21:42Speaker 7: carriage to get anywhere to go see people.
- 21:45Speaker 6: There'll be months in periods of time that you would not.
- 21:49Speaker 5: See people forever on a train.
- 21:51Speaker 7: Yeah, and it's just like now you can just go
- 21:54Speaker 7: see that person, Like Greg, you say, oh, I haven't
- 21:56Speaker 7: seen like my mom and dad for a while.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Dude. You can be at your mom's dad's house probably.
- 22:01Speaker 7: Like they're super fast and they're convenient and you need
- 22:08Speaker 7: to take advantage of them. And sometimes yes, it doesn't
- 22:10Speaker 7: work out, but like, sometimes it doesn't work out and
- 22:13Speaker 7: we don't have to see Sea Bass for the day
- 22:15Speaker 7: and you like that you get canceled or and then
- 22:21Speaker 7: so that makes you happy, right, So embrace airplanes, dude.
- 22:25Speaker 3: So he's got it. He's got this crippling, irrational fear
- 22:29Speaker 3: of a number of things. Yeah, and it's his own
- 22:32Speaker 3: problem is a problem.
- 22:34Speaker 7: And if people think like, oh man, I should go
- 22:37Speaker 7: see that person or you know it's been a long time,
- 22:40Speaker 7: like hey, take an advent, take advantage of an airplane.
- 22:43Speaker 6: And like, enjoy yourself.
- 22:45Speaker 7: My jeers is for the people that you know, they
- 22:49Speaker 7: see problems and they don't fix them. That it is
- 22:52Speaker 7: what it is people. And I thought about that the
- 22:55Speaker 7: other day when I went to go to the parking
- 22:57Speaker 7: garage and there is uh, you know, you go to
- 23:00Speaker 7: pay and they don't have tap to pay, And I
- 23:02Speaker 7: used to be anti tap to pay person, but now
- 23:04Speaker 7: I fully embraced it and that's all I use. And
- 23:07Speaker 7: when I go to pay for the parking, they don't
- 23:10Speaker 7: have tap to pay, but guess what they have right
- 23:12Speaker 7: next to the pay for the parking vending machine where
- 23:15Speaker 7: you can tap to pay.
- 23:16Speaker 6: Right. So you know, there's.
- 23:17Speaker 7: Somebody that's in charge of this parking garage that sees
- 23:21Speaker 7: this issue and just lets it be. You know, they
- 23:24Speaker 7: don't like say, hey, you know what we should upgrade
- 23:26Speaker 7: our system because I know it's I use this parking
- 23:29Speaker 7: garage quite frequently and it's been like that for years.
- 23:33Speaker 7: They have the technology, somebody in charge, just fix it
- 23:37Speaker 7: and embrace technology so people don't have to.
- 23:39Speaker 6: Go through it.
- 23:40Speaker 7: Because I overhear people that use the same parking garage
- 23:43Speaker 7: that have the same issue, like, oh, they don't have
- 23:45Speaker 7: tap to pay.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Well, I mean, if you're the person who just works
- 23:48Speaker 3: for the garage, do you care nobody.
- 23:50Speaker 6: There's somebody in charge?
- 23:51Speaker 3: Somebody they even know, because are they even there to
- 23:54Speaker 3: know what's going on? The people who are really are
- 23:55Speaker 3: in charge, they don't know.
- 23:57Speaker 7: They're creating backstories for it. But I'm sure they've seen that.
- 24:00Speaker 3: I'm just asking because when you go like, well, why
- 24:03Speaker 3: is because you're paying the minimum wage employee to sit there,
- 24:06Speaker 3: they don't care what happens.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Yeah, But when you go to the suggestion box on
- 24:09Speaker 7: like how we can make it better, how we can
- 24:12Speaker 7: make our workplace better, like, hey, number one complaint, they
- 24:15Speaker 7: don't have tap to pay.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, company attitude suck, but employee attitude suck just
- 24:20Speaker 3: as bad. When I was just out of town recently,
- 24:22Speaker 3: there's that little like, you know, a little convenience area
- 24:25Speaker 3: that has like snacks and things right off the main
- 24:27Speaker 3: lobby of a lot of hotels. Now went in there,
- 24:29Speaker 3: grabbed a couple of things. The the little ice creams
- 24:33Speaker 3: that I was buying for somebody didn't have a bar
- 24:35Speaker 3: code on, so it wouldn't scan it, the little self
- 24:37Speaker 3: checkout things. So I went to the front desk and
- 24:39Speaker 3: I go, hey, these aren't scanning it. They like, just
- 24:42Speaker 3: take them. I go, I said, I said, are you sure?
- 24:45Speaker 3: I said, it's fine. I'm happy to have it. Do
- 24:47Speaker 3: you know how much money this hotel makes. They'll be fine, honesty,
- 24:53Speaker 3: And so I'm.
- 24:54Speaker 6: Like, all right, they don't care.
- 24:59Speaker 16: Final somebody who makes sense, and let's check in with
- 25:09Speaker 16: Gina grant Well.
- 25:11Speaker 15: Spider Man is still destroying Over at the box office,
- 25:14Speaker 15: spider Man Brand New Days stayed at number one for
- 25:17Speaker 15: the fourth straight weekend. Insidious out of the further debut
- 25:21Speaker 15: at number two, The Odyssey that dropped a third, Paw Patrol,
- 25:25Speaker 15: Everyone's Favorite, The Dino Movie that finished fourth, and the
- 25:28Speaker 15: End of Oak Street rounded out the top five.
- 25:30Speaker 3: I watched a movie for the first time, did you
- 25:33Speaker 3: in I don't know two years?
- 25:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I was a theater at home.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I turned on the TV to watch something that
- 25:41Speaker 3: wasn't like something on YouTube that I needed to watch
- 25:44Speaker 3: for something else that I was doing. Like, it wasn't
- 25:47Speaker 3: like house Hunters or something that was on in the background. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:49Speaker 3: and it was a movie because I went to my
- 25:51Speaker 3: watch list or whatever, and just the first thing that
- 25:53Speaker 3: was on there was some Cline Eastwood movie called Juror
- 25:55Speaker 3: Number two.
- 25:56Speaker 6: Okay, okay, that's very great, glory of you.
- 25:59Speaker 3: I saw that. I saw a trailer for it. God
- 26:02Speaker 3: knows when I got yeah, yeah, it's interesting, I'll look
- 26:04Speaker 3: into it. And it was the first thing on the
- 26:05Speaker 3: list I started there, I go, yeah, it does look
- 26:08Speaker 3: so I just put it on. It was interesting, Yeah,
- 26:10Speaker 3: but I remember liking it.
- 26:11Speaker 5: I don't recall the plot or the twist.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Of all the things that I've glossed over, haven't watched
- 26:15Speaker 3: it or whatever. I sit down to watch one, it's
- 26:17Speaker 3: jur number two or something. No, it's somewhat recent movie,
- 26:22Speaker 3: somewhat racent over the last couple. No, he wasn't in it.
- 26:25Speaker 3: He just like directed it or something. But yeah, like,
- 26:28Speaker 3: uh so, forget going to the movies. I'm still in
- 26:32Speaker 3: jur number two. I got to give that a rewatch.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Yeah, did you watch it? I did, and I remember
- 26:38Speaker 5: liking it. Yeah, it was really good.
- 26:39Speaker 6: It was about a guy.
- 26:40Speaker 3: So there was this woman that was killed in like
- 26:42Speaker 3: a hit and run accident, and there was a guy
- 26:44Speaker 3: who was on the jury. Yes, like he's juror number two. Yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 3: and it's this whole like you know, it's it's it's
- 26:52Speaker 3: a legal drama. I don't want to spoil them.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Yeah, it's good. Yeah, it's good. I have a friend
- 26:57Speaker 5: who's got kids. They're about eight years old, and they
- 26:59Speaker 5: went to the Spider Man movie this weekend, and she said,
- 27:02Speaker 5: taking the kids to their first ever movie. And I thought, eight,
- 27:05Speaker 5: that's weird, isn't that weird?
- 27:07Speaker 3: Yeah? Eight seems like old. Yeah, especially because you're looking
- 27:10Speaker 3: in for anything to do with these kids half the time.
- 27:12Speaker 5: Yeah, first time ever.
- 27:13Speaker 15: Yeah, that's strange.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Well.
- 27:15Speaker 15: A massive wildfire is threatening Reno, Nevada. The Hawk Fire
- 27:18Speaker 15: started Saturday and exploded to around thirteen thousand acres by Sunday.
- 27:22Speaker 15: Fire officials say forty two thousand people were ordered to
- 27:25Speaker 15: evacuate and that it was caused by some dumb, dip
- 27:29Speaker 15: ish human. Nevada's governor has declared a state of emergency
- 27:32Speaker 15: and is called in the National Guard to help. And
- 27:34Speaker 15: the worst part is that firefighters are dealing firefighters rather
- 27:37Speaker 15: are dealing with high winds in extremely dry conditions. So
- 27:41Speaker 15: this is still very much a problem. Well, college football
- 27:44Speaker 15: has officially entered the Wild West because a guy who
- 27:47Speaker 15: was just in the NFL is trying to go back
- 27:50Speaker 15: to school.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we heard this was happening. Yeah, this is a
- 27:52Speaker 3: pretty the first actual yes case of it. Right, Yes,
- 27:56Speaker 3: so they talked about it, but now it's already.
- 27:58Speaker 15: Right, So check this out. The Cleveland Browns waived rookie
- 28:01Speaker 15: tight end Daikwon Right yesterday and if he clears waivers,
- 28:05Speaker 15: he already has a place in LSU this season. So
- 28:09Speaker 15: Right went undrafted after playing at Virginia Tech and Old Miss.
- 28:12Speaker 15: He signed with the Eagles and then was later picked
- 28:14Speaker 15: up by Cleveland. But a Louisiana judge recently gave Right
- 28:18Speaker 15: and a bunch of other players a temporary path for
- 28:20Speaker 15: another year of college eligibility, and Right could become the
- 28:24Speaker 15: first player just sign with the NFL and then go
- 28:27Speaker 15: back to college football, which sounds like a movie. Yeah,
- 28:30Speaker 15: doesn't it sound like some sort of a like rob
- 28:32Speaker 15: Dangerfield back to.
- 28:34Speaker 3: There was this thing I was looking at where it's
- 28:36Speaker 3: like the twenty twenty six earnings for some CFB quarterbacks
- 28:40Speaker 3: and then some NFL rookie quarterbacks. Okay, so all right,
- 28:43Speaker 3: you got the Fernanda Mendoza, who's number one pick going
- 28:46Speaker 3: the Raiders. He's the quarterback for the Raiders ten point
- 28:48Speaker 3: four million.
- 28:49Speaker 15: Okay, damn.
- 28:50Speaker 3: But the guy the number one CFB quarterback is this guy,
- 28:54Speaker 3: Darien Mensa. He's from Miami University of My six point
- 28:58Speaker 3: five million.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Damn.
- 29:00Speaker 5: So that's college. Yeah, yeah, fus nice.
- 29:03Speaker 3: But then already in the second position, you got Dante
- 29:06Speaker 3: More from Oregon five million dollars. And then the second
- 29:11Speaker 3: person on the NFL rookie quarterback list is Ty Simpson
- 29:14Speaker 3: four point six. So the college guy's making more of
- 29:17Speaker 3: the number two rookie quarterback in the NFL.
- 29:19Speaker 15: It's crazy.
- 29:20Speaker 6: They're saying, Yeah, all the alumni like throws so much money.
- 29:23Speaker 15: Oh sure, into it, absolutely well. A new fifty percent
- 29:27Speaker 15: tariff on Canadian goods is officially in effect after trade
- 29:30Speaker 15: talks between the US and Canada broke down. Major imports
- 29:34Speaker 15: like oil and gas are exempt, but the new tariffs
- 29:36Speaker 15: covered dozens of other Canadian products like food, beverages, and
- 29:40Speaker 15: hockey sticks.
- 29:40Speaker 6: Hockey sticks, sick kids, h double hockey stick.
- 29:45Speaker 11: That's right.
- 29:46Speaker 15: So Canada plans to hit back dollar for dollar with
- 29:48Speaker 15: tariffs on American products beginning of September eighth. So what
- 29:51Speaker 15: does that mean for the average person? Not much. The
- 29:54Speaker 15: overall impact is limited because the exemptions, but a prolonged
- 29:57Speaker 15: trade fight could put additional pressures on businesses and prices
- 30:01Speaker 15: on both sides of the border.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Sucks for hockey families. Yeah, I was watching a love
- 30:05Speaker 3: of or listened Greg. The guy insisted on a lot
- 30:07Speaker 3: big enough he could put his own rink in the backyard.
- 30:10Speaker 3: A hockey fan, remember that one? I do. Yeah, So
- 30:12Speaker 3: the amount of money they spend on hockey sticks, this
- 30:14Speaker 3: really impacts them.
- 30:15Speaker 6: What does the hockey stick go for these days?
- 30:17Speaker 3: About three hundred bucks? No, yeah, you can get them,
- 30:21Speaker 3: like if you get them like on sale, like one
- 30:22Speaker 3: hundred and eighty or whatever. But like, yeah, for the
- 30:25Speaker 3: new ones that that these kids want, they're closer to three.
- 30:28Speaker 3: It's like two nineties.
- 30:29Speaker 6: It's like, oh yeahats are like that.
- 30:31Speaker 15: Now we just got the kid birthday.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Well, especially when the kids starts getting older and they
- 30:36Speaker 3: started having more strength and more leverage or whatever because
- 30:38Speaker 3: there's some flex to the stick and that's part of like,
- 30:41Speaker 3: you know, when you're shooting or whatever. And so yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 3: they break sticks more off. And the little kids aren't
- 30:45Speaker 3: breaking hockey sticks as much. But as you start getting
- 30:48Speaker 3: into uh, you know, high school and stuff. Yeah, do
- 30:50Speaker 3: they like light up or have bluetooth or so.
- 30:54Speaker 6: What do they do? Do they have to stick.
- 30:55Speaker 15: Warmers for him?
- 30:57Speaker 3: Would think?
- 30:58Speaker 15: Welcome to twenty twenty six Walmart, thanks for joining us.
- 31:01Speaker 15: Starting today, Walmart and Sam's Club are finally rolling out
- 31:04Speaker 15: tap to pay at select.
- 31:06Speaker 7: Stores, which means you'll be with you just joined. I know, yeah,
- 31:11Speaker 7: but I've been going to Walmart and I was annoyed
- 31:13Speaker 7: that they didn't have it. You're not using that, yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 7: but the whole online process, like scan a QR code
- 31:18Speaker 7: and then pay basically online on your phone was so annoying.
- 31:21Speaker 3: It was slowing everything up. I noticed because there were
- 31:23Speaker 3: people that were calling people over, like the employees calling
- 31:26Speaker 3: getting called by the customers to help them at the
- 31:28Speaker 3: self checkout, and the lines back and up because people
- 31:30Speaker 3: are trying to scan the code, get on the store's
- 31:32Speaker 3: Wi Fi to be able to connect, you know, properly fast.
- 31:35Speaker 15: Super efficient.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:37Speaker 15: Well, Walmart Inc. Plans to have Tap to Bay available
- 31:40Speaker 15: at every Walmart and Sam's Club in the US by
- 31:42Speaker 15: the end of the year, and their gas stations are
- 31:45Speaker 15: supposed to get it by mid next year. Walmart has
- 31:47Speaker 15: resisted the technology for years while pushing customers, like you said,
- 31:50Speaker 15: toward the pay through its app, which Greg obviously huge
- 31:54Speaker 15: fan of. I hate to see that go. And Bucky's
- 31:57Speaker 15: has officially entered its villain air, so they're at it again,
- 32:01Speaker 15: suing a tiny Ohio convenience store called Beaver's Mini Mart.
- 32:06Speaker 3: I did see a story on This place is tiny.
- 32:09Speaker 3: We're talking, it's the tiniest store. You would never even know.
- 32:11Speaker 3: It's called Beaver's Mini Mart. The logo looks nothing like BUCkies. Okay,
- 32:16Speaker 3: it is a Beaver, but it doesn't look anything like
- 32:18Speaker 3: the BUCkies. Beaver and it's in a town. What's the
- 32:22Speaker 3: name of the town. It's like Beaver something, Beaver Creek,
- 32:24Speaker 3: Beaver Creek. That's why it's called Beaver's Mini Mart because
- 32:28Speaker 3: it's the town's mini mart. They're not trying to be BUCkies,
- 32:31Speaker 3: but BUCkies is suing that and there's no way you'd
- 32:34Speaker 3: confuse these two places as big as BUCkies is.
- 32:37Speaker 6: This place is small exactly.
- 32:40Speaker 15: So, like you said, it's Beaver Creek, so they have
- 32:42Speaker 15: the mascot as a beaver. It's not a big stretch.
- 32:44Speaker 15: The people in Ohio rallying behind this little store. The
- 32:47Speaker 15: city officially recognized the beaver as part of its history.
- 32:50Speaker 15: And of course John Oliver is all over it.
- 32:52Speaker 5: Because he's going after BUCkies.
- 32:54Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, Bucky says, it's simply protecting its trademark. Well,
- 32:58Speaker 15: they're going to have boycot BUCkies. So yeah, it's not
- 33:02Speaker 15: great you think they own, I know, not great optics
- 33:06Speaker 15: for them, and that's what's going on.
- 33:07Speaker 5: When I thank you very much, Gina Grad.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Sure, I'm still thinking about BUCkies and all these like lawsuits,
- 33:16Speaker 3: you know, like BUCkies, can I can I talk to
- 33:20Speaker 3: BUCkies for a second? BUCkies, everybody loved you, and the
- 33:25Speaker 3: people who had only heard about you were even interested.
- 33:30Speaker 3: And then once people went there for the first time,
- 33:32Speaker 3: they were like wow. I mean I would say like
- 33:36Speaker 3: nine point eight out of ten people when they see
- 33:39Speaker 3: BUCkies for the.
- 33:40Speaker 6: First time, they go, man, that place is cool.
- 33:43Speaker 3: It's cool.
- 33:44Speaker 6: Rules you are becoming very quickly becoming uncool.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Stop it, just stop it. Stop going after these little
- 33:52Speaker 3: tiny ass stores. Like if there's something that is a
- 33:56Speaker 3: clear infringement, like they're calling it schmucky. Yeah, yeah, you.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Know what I mean.
- 34:02Speaker 3: And it's the exact same thing with a billion gas
- 34:04Speaker 3: pumps and a massive Walmart size convenience store gas station.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Well then fine, you know if they're called like you know,
- 34:12Speaker 3: like by the way, beaver nuggets are not a thing
- 34:14Speaker 3: that you invented. No, that's what they've labeled theirs that
- 34:19Speaker 3: they sell. I forget what the original thing is called,
- 34:21Speaker 3: but yeah, they sell that same exact product. It's just
- 34:26Speaker 3: something else. It's like how you know, there's there's different
- 34:29Speaker 3: different versions of whatever it is, right the engineer, Yeah, right,
- 34:34Speaker 3: so they they they made it popular because of you
- 34:37Speaker 3: know how big they are, and stop it. You're ruining it.
- 34:40Speaker 3: You have a great thing that's like almost impossible. People
- 34:43Speaker 3: all the time try to create something that is as viral,
- 34:48Speaker 3: you know, word of mouth, like people are just organically
- 34:52Speaker 3: excited about, right, they try to create and they can't.
- 34:55Speaker 3: It's like a lightning in the bottle thing. You have
- 34:56Speaker 3: lightning in the bottle and you're screwing it up.
- 34:59Speaker 6: Yeah, just focus on what you provide and you will win.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I love BUCkies. I love the story. I'm one of
- 35:07Speaker 3: those people that.
- 35:07Speaker 6: I heard about it and then went for the first time.
- 35:09Speaker 3: It's like, wow, this place is really told my wife
- 35:12Speaker 3: about it to a video whatever, you got to see
- 35:14Speaker 3: this place broader to one.
- 35:16Speaker 6: She's like, man, this is crazy, Like what are you doing?
- 35:20Speaker 7: You know this reminds me of This reminds me of
- 35:23Speaker 7: Taxis and Uber. You know what Taxis spent all their
- 35:27Speaker 7: time and entergry on like legislation is like stop Uber
- 35:32Speaker 7: instead of focusing on making their product better. They're like, no,
- 35:35Speaker 7: We're just gonna like coll and compete. Yeah, call and complaint.
- 35:39Speaker 3: And by the way, you know, no one's really competing
- 35:41Speaker 3: with you BUCkies. I mean there's Wally's, there's some other places,
- 35:44Speaker 3: Dolly in one place that is small potatoes compared to
- 35:49Speaker 3: what BUCkies is as a brand. If you keep on
- 35:52Speaker 3: kicking ass, you're gonna win. Yeah, You're gonna be fine.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Just keep being cool, keep having you know, fun, you know,
- 35:58Speaker 3: merch and things like that. Think about that, man, not
- 36:01Speaker 3: only the concept of a thousand gas pumps and a
- 36:04Speaker 3: huge convenience store, gas station experience. People want to rep
- 36:08Speaker 3: your merch.
- 36:09Speaker 15: Yeah I have a sweatsuit.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Yeah, they purchase it. It's not even like the stuff
- 36:13Speaker 3: that you gave away for free at a little table
- 36:15Speaker 3: a customer appreciation thing. Like radio stations do we give
- 36:18Speaker 3: away stuff It becomes someone's laundry day shirt or what
- 36:21Speaker 3: they wear if they're sweating out in the yard. They don't.
- 36:24Speaker 5: They don't.
- 36:25Speaker 3: They don't wear it to rep us and go like
- 36:27Speaker 3: you know, and they go like, I'm a big fan
- 36:29Speaker 3: of this show and this radio. They don't do that.
- 36:32Speaker 3: They got it because it was free. Yeah, would they
- 36:35Speaker 3: pay for it in some instances there are some people,
- 36:37Speaker 3: but the amount of people, the sheer number of people
- 36:40Speaker 3: that pay for Bucky stuff to rep your brand. People
- 36:44Speaker 3: would kill for that. And you're screwing it up by
- 36:47Speaker 3: going after like this little tiny store Ohio that we
- 36:50Speaker 3: just heard about and all the stuff that John Oliver
- 36:52Speaker 3: was mentioning on. Hey, I'm sure they're pissed a John Oliver,
- 36:55Speaker 3: but hey, BUCkies, he's right.
- 36:57Speaker 15: Yeah, they have nothing to do with you.
- 36:59Speaker 3: He's right.
- 37:00Speaker 6: They need to correct this now they do.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Who's ever in charge of that? You need to move
- 37:05Speaker 3: on from that person, or.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Just tell them to make a statement, like, look, we
- 37:08Speaker 6: had some people in our company a.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Little over zealous. They're trying to make a name for
- 37:11Speaker 3: themselves within the organization.
- 37:13Speaker 6: We've corrected it.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Like people are excited about your bathrooms. Man, you know
- 37:18Speaker 3: what I mean, Like you have it going on, and the.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Whole impetus for the lawsuit. Nobody's going to confuse the
- 37:24Speaker 5: two nobody.
- 37:27Speaker 15: They weren't trying to rip them off. Leave them alone.
- 37:30Speaker 3: This is not what I thought they walk They walk
- 37:32Speaker 3: in this Beavers Mini mart In Beaver in Ohio. I'll go,
- 37:37Speaker 3: this is not what I heard about.
- 37:39Speaker 5: This is all.
- 37:41Speaker 3: I mean. Maybe some people are that dumb. Maybe, but no,
- 37:45Speaker 3: I don't know. But it's a bummer man, because I
- 37:49Speaker 3: like BUCkies. I want it's weird, like I I want
- 37:52Speaker 3: them to do well because I like the concept.
- 37:54Speaker 6: You know, I think it's cool. I think it's cool
- 37:56Speaker 6: when you have something like that.
- 37:57Speaker 5: And I think it's cool when something actually lives up
- 37:59Speaker 5: to the high Yeah, because most things don't. Yeah, but
- 38:02Speaker 5: you go to BUCkies for the first time.
- 38:04Speaker 3: But don't Somebody said these BUCkies lawsuits are like kind
- 38:08Speaker 3: of the same thing of what you know, Fender starting
- 38:11Speaker 3: to sue guitar manufacturers over the like generic stratocast or
- 38:16Speaker 3: like the double cutaway design. Like the Strata design has
- 38:19Speaker 3: been around for years amongst manufacturers, and now Fender is
- 38:22Speaker 3: starting to send these cease and desist letters. Stop it,
- 38:25Speaker 3: I like, because I know everybody thought I don't know
- 38:28Speaker 3: dick about guitars and stuff like that, but like, I
- 38:30Speaker 3: don't know, Whender Fender has always been cool, right.
- 38:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know what's true on that, but I
- 38:35Speaker 7: guarantee you whoever buys the generic Fender is going to
- 38:39Speaker 7: strive to get the real one.
- 38:41Speaker 6: You know. They're like, I'm gonna, yeah, I'm just.
- 38:43Speaker 7: Gonna get this in the meantime until I can afford
- 38:46Speaker 7: the Fender right now. They're not gonna want to stay
- 38:48Speaker 7: with that for the.
- 38:49Speaker 6: Rest of the life.
- 38:49Speaker 3: It's amazing, man. People people try really hard to screw
- 38:54Speaker 3: up really good brands.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, very short sighted.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Yeah, they they start focusing on the wrong things and
- 39:03Speaker 3: they forget about you know, I mean, BUCkies is just
- 39:07Speaker 3: you know, they're they're saying, well, you know, copyright infringement
- 39:11Speaker 3: or what like. Come on, man, no one, no one's confusing,
- 39:15Speaker 3: like gregor whoever made the point, no one's no one's confused.
- 39:18Speaker 5: They're not walking into Beaver's Mini Mart yeah and saying, wait,
- 39:21Speaker 5: wait a minute, where's the restaurants?
- 39:24Speaker 3: The companies and the people that do are the ones
- 39:27Speaker 3: who are only concerned about the customer experience? Right, and
- 39:31Speaker 3: think about, well, when I tune in, or I go
- 39:34Speaker 3: into a store, or you know, I get service done
- 39:38Speaker 3: by this place, what is that experience like that? Like,
- 39:40Speaker 3: when it's all said and done, did I get a
- 39:42Speaker 3: really good service? You know? Have they kept my HVAC running?
- 39:47Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 39:49Speaker 5: Whatever?
- 39:49Speaker 3: Whatever that did? I go in here and I you know,
- 39:51Speaker 3: I felt like I was really like a you know,
- 39:53Speaker 3: they were giving me value for the appreciating the fact
- 39:56Speaker 3: that I'm choosing to spend my dollar with them, and
- 39:59Speaker 3: they're give me that experience to you know, keep me loyal.
- 40:04Speaker 3: You'll have people for life.
- 40:07Speaker 15: Until you start attacking them.
- 40:09Speaker 6: Well, until you start.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Nobody likes it attacking the little guy. Yea, yeah, nobody
- 40:13Speaker 3: down nobody likes that. I don't like that term, but
- 40:17Speaker 3: nobody likes that. Yeah, no one likes attacking the little guy.
- 40:23Speaker 3: So BUCkies, please, I plead with you. I want you
- 40:26Speaker 3: to stay cool, so stop, just just stop it.
- 40:30Speaker 6: I already have all this merch I don't want to
- 40:31Speaker 6: get rid of. Yeah.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Yeah, he's not gonna be able to wear it out
- 40:34Speaker 3: in public.
- 40:34Speaker 5: Yeah, you got to get people, have to get rid
- 40:36Speaker 5: of your little statue.
- 40:37Speaker 3: People are gonna think he's a he's a bully supporter. Yeah, right,
- 40:41Speaker 3: not to use another term I hate evil. Course it's
- 40:43Speaker 3: over overused. Yeah all right, eight seven seven forty four,
- 40:46Speaker 3: Woody send us a text over to two two ninety
- 40:48Speaker 3: seven will break and then we'll come back. More Woody
- 40:51Speaker 3: shows next, The Woody Show.
- 40:58Speaker 15: Return these prices is our insane?
- 41:02Speaker 3: Yeah, the wood Show? All right, Sammy Marino cheers and jeers.
- 41:13Speaker 10: Okay, so my cheers is that steamboat Lily has been
- 41:16Speaker 10: out of town.
- 41:17Speaker 3: And I know, wait, suppressed, hold on already, Yeah, what
- 41:23Speaker 3: do you mean not already already? It's a cheer that
- 41:25Speaker 3: he's out of town.
- 41:26Speaker 6: Yeah, yes, that.
- 41:28Speaker 10: Was fast because I am used to being alone, right,
- 41:32Speaker 10: And that's not to say that he is difficult to
- 41:34Speaker 10: live with her, that I don't enjoy living with her.
- 41:36Speaker 6: The sight he's gone, well what I've.
- 41:37Speaker 10: Been enjoying, is it doesn't have to be like, well,
- 41:40Speaker 10: what do you want to watch on TV? Well and
- 41:42Speaker 10: finding something watched together? And what do you want for dinner?
- 41:44Speaker 10: Well I want this, well I want that, Like I
- 41:46Speaker 10: just can do whatever I want in all aspects of
- 41:49Speaker 10: everything in your rules.
- 41:52Speaker 11: So cheers to that, my cheers.
- 41:56Speaker 5: And how long is he gone?
- 41:58Speaker 11: He's gone for ten days?
- 41:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, solo vacation.
- 42:02Speaker 3: I mean you guys are now Instagram official, Jeff pointed
- 42:05Speaker 3: out to me, because you had posted or somebody had
- 42:08Speaker 3: posted a picture of you guys together, you know, from
- 42:11Speaker 3: you know, the Woody Show event, the baseball game, right, so.
- 42:13Speaker 10: Somebody else did first, and then I was like.
- 42:15Speaker 6: Well, I don't.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Okay, so that wasn't intended.
- 42:19Speaker 15: Wait did I do it?
- 42:20Speaker 5: That's always a big sorry.
- 42:22Speaker 11: No, it's fine. It's fine.
- 42:25Speaker 3: That's always a big move, right, like to like one
- 42:27Speaker 3: thing like you're dating. But then you got to go
- 42:28Speaker 3: social media.
- 42:29Speaker 6: Official that you live together.
- 42:35Speaker 3: At one point, now that we know all about him
- 42:37Speaker 3: and we see him, somebody said he looks like Moby oh,
- 42:40Speaker 3: because I didn't know that. Sammy was.
- 42:43Speaker 11: Kinda find anyone who's bald and say something.
- 42:49Speaker 3: He looks like anything about him?
- 42:51Speaker 6: He looks like that six flags guy.
- 42:52Speaker 3: How much longer? How much longer do we call him Steamboat?
- 42:55Speaker 5: Willie continue to do that?
- 42:57Speaker 1: Yes?
- 42:58Speaker 3: Does it matter?
- 42:59Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 43:00Speaker 3: Okay, I didn't know. I think under the veil of secrecy.
- 43:03Speaker 3: But now there's I mean there's really no secret then,
- 43:06Speaker 3: you know.
- 43:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean he wasn't tagged, like.
- 43:08Speaker 15: Yeah, I didn't tag him and Sammy, in my defense,
- 43:10Speaker 15: this could just be any rando sitting next to You're
- 43:13Speaker 15: not touching him. Sure forbid?
- 43:16Speaker 3: I know, all right?
- 43:17Speaker 15: Jeers, my jeers? Is that my car won't start?
- 43:22Speaker 3: Oh?
- 43:23Speaker 6: No, yes?
- 43:24Speaker 11: Is that why I didn't see your car this morning?
- 43:25Speaker 11: That is you got a new car?
- 43:27Speaker 10: Well no, no, luckily, Steamboat Willy's out of town, so we.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Just took him.
- 43:31Speaker 11: That's a nice car.
- 43:32Speaker 10: So I I don't know. I was on the phone
- 43:35Speaker 10: with my dad and we tried a bunch of different things,
- 43:38Speaker 10: and we think it might be the battery. So I
- 43:40Speaker 10: need to figure all of that out. But my car
- 43:43Speaker 10: will not start.
- 43:43Speaker 15: I don't really know why, Sammy is a time for
- 43:45Speaker 15: every car?
- 43:46Speaker 3: Has anybody seen the car?
- 43:49Speaker 6: You saw it? All right, So you're out.
- 43:51Speaker 3: You're out of the game.
- 43:52Speaker 6: Oh okay, you're out of the game.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Okay, okay, seen the car that Steamboat Willie has?
- 43:56Speaker 15: Yes, oh no, no, no, I've seen Sammy's car.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, you saw the car that so Morgan's
- 44:03Speaker 3: out of the game. I love these things on social
- 44:04Speaker 3: media where people can guess, like by talking to somebody
- 44:07Speaker 3: like on the street, what car they drive. All right,
- 44:10Speaker 3: so we've all met Steamboat Willie. What kind of car
- 44:13Speaker 3: is Steamboat Willy driving. Let's see if we can take
- 44:16Speaker 3: a guess and get it right.
- 44:18Speaker 15: I don't think it's an SUV, but.
- 44:21Speaker 3: I think it's either like a I was gonna say, like,
- 44:25Speaker 3: see not he's doesn't come like a like a Honda
- 44:28Speaker 3: Civic guy.
- 44:29Speaker 15: Like practical but nice.
- 44:30Speaker 6: I was gonna say either SUPERU or BMW.
- 44:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna say Audi, either an Audi or a Volkswagen,
- 44:40Speaker 3: which is kind of the same thing, Volkswagen and the
- 44:42Speaker 3: kind of the same company. But I'm gonna go Lexus.
- 44:45Speaker 3: They are he seems I'm gonna say very superish.
- 44:50Speaker 6: Maybe if you.
- 44:50Speaker 7: Want super superish, super suberish, MAYBEMW BMW like yeah BMW,
- 45:00Speaker 7: all right.
- 45:01Speaker 10: Mercedes an electric electric same thing.
- 45:11Speaker 3: All right, we're kind of on the right traps there,
- 45:14Speaker 3: hopefully he stays out of town longer.
- 45:16Speaker 15: Right, Yeah, exactly, I need your car.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Yeah, what is the first time you're driving up with
- 45:20Speaker 5: the backup camera?
- 45:22Speaker 10: Yes, and I'm gonna I'm worried I'm going to crash
- 45:24Speaker 10: this car because it's electric. So when you when you
- 45:28Speaker 10: let off, when you let off the gas, the car
- 45:30Speaker 10: just stops. There's not like you let it off and
- 45:32Speaker 10: it kind.
- 45:33Speaker 5: Of keeps going.
- 45:33Speaker 11: It's different and.
- 45:36Speaker 6: Regenerative braking, I don't know.
- 45:38Speaker 10: And so in the garage too though, it kind of
- 45:42Speaker 10: just fits. So you have to back in so that
- 45:45Speaker 10: you can see like where there's enough room. So I
- 45:49Speaker 10: have never backed in a car into a parking spot
- 45:51Speaker 10: ever in my life.
- 45:52Speaker 3: And now you have to park it there is there
- 45:54Speaker 3: another place you can park it, just so you don't
- 45:56Speaker 3: screw it up.
- 45:57Speaker 15: Trust me, I wish I have to park it there.
- 45:59Speaker 10: And so I'm gonna have to reverse back in when
- 46:02Speaker 10: I get home with my car on one side of
- 46:05Speaker 10: the garage and a wall on the other side of
- 46:07Speaker 10: the garage, and I'm like, so stressed out before you
- 46:12Speaker 10: do it?
- 46:13Speaker 2: Can you do that?
- 46:14Speaker 6: I just did that when the car shuts off.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Now there's there's usually a button like where you can
- 46:18Speaker 3: adjust the mirrors that will bring them in, like a
- 46:20Speaker 3: button that will just bring them in.
- 46:22Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean, but luckily it has the backup camp.
- 46:25Speaker 3: God, you're gonna get spoiled by that string with the
- 46:28Speaker 3: tennis ball. Yeah, absolutely, Morgan. Cheers and jeers.
- 46:34Speaker 11: Okay, cheers. I'm gonna get real simple on you hose.
- 46:37Speaker 11: Cheers to my legs.
- 46:39Speaker 13: Man.
- 46:39Speaker 11: I don't know what it was about this weekend. I
- 46:41Speaker 11: saw so many people without legs.
- 46:43Speaker 13: Like I'd be at a stop light and I'd see
- 46:45Speaker 13: a guy in a wheelchair no legs. Yeah, you know,
- 46:48Speaker 13: at the score there's someone else half a leg you know. Like,
- 46:51Speaker 13: I don't know what it was, but it made me
- 46:53Speaker 13: so grateful. It's something we don't think about, right, So
- 46:56Speaker 13: just yeah, for a moment, just be thankful we get
- 46:59Speaker 13: to walk around.
- 47:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 11: I used to be so som functional leg when I
- 47:02Speaker 11: was a kid about my legs.
- 47:03Speaker 13: But now I'm like strong because I'm tall and I
- 47:06Speaker 13: have like strong legs, right, and I want you know, yeah,
- 47:12Speaker 13: but cheers to just like being able to go and
- 47:15Speaker 13: do what I want and run and on account of
- 47:17Speaker 13: your legs all these things. Yeah, and sorry to everyone
- 47:20Speaker 13: I saw without legs, Like, what's going on?
- 47:21Speaker 11: I don't know?
- 47:23Speaker 13: Jeers, Greg what, I'm so sorry. I have some facts
- 47:27Speaker 13: for you. I watched that new Boeing documentary.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Oh I was tagged in that is that old?
- 47:33Speaker 6: Watch? It is that new?
- 47:34Speaker 3: Or is that? I feel like that's old. That's been
- 47:36Speaker 3: out for a while, right, I thought it was old
- 47:37Speaker 3: because they had they had one on Boeing. Yeah, there
- 47:40Speaker 3: was a while back. Came out in twenty four, I believe,
- 47:43Speaker 3: because that was about the old like you know whatever
- 47:45Speaker 3: Max aircraft that kept Remember they had like a bunch
- 47:48Speaker 3: of different crashes all within a pretty close amount of
- 47:50Speaker 3: time and.
- 47:51Speaker 11: Then they pulled it off.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Yeah, and so they did it.
- 47:53Speaker 5: They did it documentary about that stuff.
- 47:55Speaker 13: Right, it was just a different like a week of
- 47:57Speaker 13: new one. It's the same, I think matter it's oh
- 48:02Speaker 13: what are You're gonna love it? It is so interesting
- 48:04Speaker 13: And shout out to the people that work at Boeing
- 48:06Speaker 13: that were whistleblowers and like did the right thing. But
- 48:09Speaker 13: jeers to the rest of you guys, because f Boeing. Man,
- 48:13Speaker 13: here's some facts. Did you know they used scrap parts
- 48:16Speaker 13: on the Dreamliners? Like these are parts of it that
- 48:18Speaker 13: we're supposed to go throw go throw away because they
- 48:21Speaker 13: don't work. And then these guys do checks later and
- 48:23Speaker 13: they're like, oh, that's a scrap part. That's a scrap
- 48:25Speaker 13: part on planes that are flying right now, right, Okay,
- 48:28Speaker 13: there's billions, billions of wires on the plane.
- 48:31Speaker 17: Right.
- 48:31Speaker 13: These guys go through like, oh that that's afraid. That's afraid,
- 48:36Speaker 13: say something about it. Boeing's like, shut up, still fly
- 48:38Speaker 13: the planes.
- 48:40Speaker 3: This sounds a lot. This sounds very familiar from the
- 48:43Speaker 3: last one.
- 48:43Speaker 11: Because they haven't fixed the damn problems.
- 48:47Speaker 3: I'm saying. I'm just wondering if they use a lot
- 48:48Speaker 3: of the same information from the from the last one. Okay,
- 48:51Speaker 3: So the old one, okay, Okay, the old one was
- 48:54Speaker 3: called Downfall the case against Boeing. Okay, that was the
- 48:57Speaker 3: older one, and that came out in twenty twenty two,
- 49:01Speaker 3: and is the one is called free Fall, a reckoning
- 49:05Speaker 3: for Boeing, and that one, that one just came out,
- 49:07Speaker 3: says in the wake of horrific Boeing aircraft disasters, whistleblowers,
- 49:11Speaker 3: investigators and families of victims seek accountability in this jolting documentary.
- 49:16Speaker 11: It is jolting, dude, it really is.
- 49:18Speaker 15: It doesn't make you not want to fly.
- 49:19Speaker 3: I'll be watching that today.
- 49:21Speaker 11: It makes me so glad that you're on the ground.
- 49:23Speaker 11: Flew first class, right, everything was.
- 49:25Speaker 6: Great, but oh my god, first class is the most
- 49:27Speaker 6: dangerous place on the plane to be.
- 49:29Speaker 15: Yeah, you're in the front.
- 49:30Speaker 11: Yeah, but I have priority to get off.
- 49:31Speaker 15: No, no, no, I'm saying there is a crash priority
- 49:34Speaker 15: into a mountains like the Titanic, like they would get
- 49:37Speaker 15: me off first.
- 49:37Speaker 8: No.
- 49:37Speaker 3: No, that's if there's a water landing. I'm saying, like,
- 49:40Speaker 3: if the plane crashes, like the impact right like that,
- 49:43Speaker 3: you don't want to be in first class.
- 49:45Speaker 13: I'm glad you brought that up because Boeing when they
- 49:47Speaker 13: went to court for all this, they said, quote, victims
- 49:50Speaker 13: don't have time to feel pain when the planes crashed,
- 49:52Speaker 13: so they don't deserve compensation.
- 49:54Speaker 6: What what damn f Boeing.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Man.
- 49:57Speaker 11: I'll still get on the planes because I have to.
- 49:59Speaker 6: But yeah, what choice?
- 50:01Speaker 11: But that thing got me fired up.
- 50:03Speaker 5: Yeah you should watch it.
- 50:04Speaker 18: What do you like?
- 50:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll check it out.
- 50:07Speaker 5: Jeff g cheers and jeers cheers today for Kobe Bryant
- 50:11Speaker 5: Day one of the Goats.
- 50:11Speaker 6: It's eight twenty four. Obviously, if you're an NBA fan,
- 50:14Speaker 6: you miss him like I do.
- 50:16Speaker 2: Uh.
- 50:17Speaker 12: He was one of the best in the game. And
- 50:18Speaker 12: many's so sorry. Sorryly missed If that's even a word,
- 50:21Speaker 12: I hope, isn't it?
- 50:23Speaker 6: Okayly sorely? Yes, missed, not sorrow. I make up stuff
- 50:30Speaker 6: every once in a while. I get him. But yeah,
- 50:31Speaker 6: I mean, think about how it would be if he
- 50:33Speaker 6: was still with us. That's what I always think.
- 50:35Speaker 12: You were friends with the guy, right, Yeah, I mean
- 50:37Speaker 12: we had a really good working relationship, So yeah, this
- 50:39Speaker 12: is hits a little bit more.
- 50:40Speaker 5: Yeah than that.
- 50:41Speaker 12: I helped with a lot of his release, hosted a
- 50:43Speaker 12: lot of his shoe releases and stuff like that, and
- 50:46Speaker 12: got to know him a little bit.
- 50:47Speaker 6: And he's just a great dude.
- 50:48Speaker 12: And I just think basketball would be so much different
- 50:50Speaker 12: because there aren't a lot of voices like his these days.
- 50:53Speaker 6: You know, most of the players are like.
- 50:56Speaker 12: And all that stuff where Kobe told it like it was,
- 50:58Speaker 12: so I think I speak for all NBA fans when
- 51:00Speaker 12: we say we miss him and happy eight twenty four
- 51:03Speaker 12: Kobe Day. My jears goes to my son. It's not
- 51:07Speaker 12: his fault, but he's leaving back to college, So I'm
- 51:10Speaker 12: gonna miss him.
- 51:11Speaker 3: Man.
- 51:11Speaker 12: It kind of has hit me the last few days
- 51:13Speaker 12: because me and him are are you know, we're we
- 51:16Speaker 12: have the kind of same personality, same temperament and stuff
- 51:19Speaker 12: like that. So he's leaving me alone with my wife
- 51:21Speaker 12: and my other son who are wild af So I'm
- 51:24Speaker 12: kind of not looking forward to that because I'm gonna
- 51:26Speaker 12: be the odd man out.
- 51:27Speaker 3: All right. So here here's a question. We know that
- 51:29Speaker 3: you're seventeen year old the senior. Yes, he's got to
- 51:32Speaker 3: put all this stuff in the mail crate. Do you
- 51:34Speaker 3: do the same thing with your college son.
- 51:36Speaker 6: No, he when he was in high school, we did
- 51:38Speaker 6: the same thing.
- 51:38Speaker 3: But now no, now you were collecting stuff.
- 51:41Speaker 6: No, he's good.
- 51:42Speaker 3: I mean he's kind of graduate high school. You graduate
- 51:44Speaker 3: from the mail crate.
- 51:46Speaker 15: He speak over to his brother's Can I borrow your phone?
- 51:49Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 51:49Speaker 6: I'm gonna usually a sleep when all that happens, So
- 51:51Speaker 6: they could be doing that, but I mean, you know,
- 51:53Speaker 6: they'll figure it out.
- 51:54Speaker 3: I didn't know, like when that ended.
- 51:56Speaker 6: Once you're out of the house, you're on your own.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Man.
- 51:58Speaker 6: If you want to f up your life, it's on you.
- 52:01Speaker 3: That's on you.
- 52:01Speaker 6: At that point.
- 52:03Speaker 3: I tried my best, but it's a I mean, the
- 52:05Speaker 3: idea of the empty nest, like is like your wife
- 52:09Speaker 3: and you know, I'm sure you talk about it, yes,
- 52:12Speaker 3: something you're excited about or not excited about, because my
- 52:16Speaker 3: wife and I we talk about it and we get hard.
- 52:20Speaker 12: Yeah, no, I get excited about it. I think that
- 52:23Speaker 12: we're going to enjoy the time. I think we did
- 52:25Speaker 12: a pretty good job raising the kids, and honestly, like
- 52:28Speaker 12: I think we're excited for them and the lives that
- 52:30Speaker 12: they had.
- 52:30Speaker 6: They're living great lives, you know, So I think that's
- 52:33Speaker 6: awesome for us, and you know, we'll enjoy the time together.
- 52:36Speaker 6: And I think sometimes you have to miss people to.
- 52:38Speaker 12: Really appreciate things, like you know Sammy, Yeah, yeah, although
- 52:43Speaker 12: she doesn't miss him at all, but yeah, I miss
- 52:45Speaker 12: him more. And I'm excited for him to come back
- 52:47Speaker 12: for Christmas because Christmas means so much more now, you know,
- 52:49Speaker 12: because he's back.
- 52:50Speaker 6: So I'm excited but sad at the same time. Understandable
- 52:53Speaker 6: because now it's two v one.
- 52:57Speaker 4: This is.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Got some normal by the numbers, and this is from
- 53:05Speaker 3: a Fortune magazine, so just looking at at gen Z everything,
- 53:10Speaker 3: by the way, I feel like, every time I open
- 53:12Speaker 3: anything up to read it, it's all gen Z. This
- 53:14Speaker 3: gen Z that all right? This is average gen Z
- 53:18Speaker 3: currently owes friends and family more than one thousand dollars. Wow,
- 53:22Speaker 3: average gen Z twenty five hundred dollars or more. Which
- 53:27Speaker 3: as a younger person, that's a I mean, it's a
- 53:29Speaker 3: lot of money anyway, but twenty five hundred bucks might
- 53:32Speaker 3: as well be two million bucks you never get back.
- 53:35Speaker 3: I just I remember that, you know, the you know
- 53:37Speaker 3: what would be the age range of gen Z when
- 53:40Speaker 3: I was at age. It's like, well, forget it, You're
- 53:41Speaker 3: never getting that. I know.
- 53:43Speaker 5: I mean eventually I could pay you in quarters. Yeah,
- 53:45Speaker 5: I'll eventually get there.
- 53:47Speaker 3: I borrowed two.
- 53:48Speaker 5: Hundred bucks from my mom one time, and about a
- 53:49Speaker 5: week later she said where's that two hundred dollars and
- 53:51Speaker 5: I was shocked.
- 53:52Speaker 3: I'm like, waity, I have to pay you back. When
- 53:55Speaker 3: I met Loan, I met GiB Forty seven percent of
- 53:59Speaker 3: people say they've gone on into debt covering a group expense.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Thirty seven percent of gen z ers have spent over
- 54:05Speaker 3: twenty five hundred bucks on concerts, sporting events, and group
- 54:09Speaker 3: trips that I don't feel bad for you.
- 54:11Speaker 15: No, Yeah, why'd you volunteer?
- 54:12Speaker 5: Like if you end up in like some.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Kind of debt over that, you know that you did that,
- 54:16Speaker 3: You made that decision. You're free to make whatever decision
- 54:18Speaker 3: you want. Just don't ask anybody to feel bad about
- 54:21Speaker 3: like what kind of tough financial spots you're in?
- 54:24Speaker 6: Yeah, and they're doing it on afterpay or firm and
- 54:27Speaker 6: say that, by the way, I did it too, Yeah,
- 54:29Speaker 6: do your thing.
- 54:30Speaker 3: I'm not saying I'm better, I'm better than you, but
- 54:32Speaker 3: I didn't expect anybody to feel bad for me. And
- 54:34Speaker 3: I wasn't going around then. I was did you guys
- 54:37Speaker 3: have this person in your life I did where they
- 54:41Speaker 3: would do things like that and then come around asking
- 54:44Speaker 3: you to borrow money, And I'm like, why am I
- 54:46Speaker 3: going to lend you money when you're out here just
- 54:48Speaker 3: making one dumb decision after the other. Like I'm making
- 54:52Speaker 3: dumb decisions, but I'm not asking to borrow money from
- 54:54Speaker 3: anybody to make up like, oh, well, hey man, I'm
- 54:57Speaker 3: gonna be a little bit short on my on my
- 54:58Speaker 3: car loan this month because I spent sex number of
- 55:02Speaker 3: dollars to go to the Steelers game.
- 55:06Speaker 5: Entertained I would go do.
- 55:08Speaker 7: All the things that you're talking about. But I also
- 55:10Speaker 7: had this thing called shame, and I would not ask
- 55:13Speaker 7: anybody for money. I'll just figure it out.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I would just go without it.
- 55:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 3: I was at one point and I lost a job,
- 55:24Speaker 3: didn't have any money saved because I wasn't you know,
- 55:27Speaker 3: I wasn't making even when I was working, I wasn't
- 55:29Speaker 3: making like any kind of money, any kind of money
- 55:32Speaker 3: to speak of. And I was young and spending some
- 55:35Speaker 3: money on some things that not crazy things, but like
- 55:38Speaker 3: enough where it's like that should have been money saved
- 55:40Speaker 3: in hindsight. In hindsight, that should have been money saved.
- 55:44Speaker 3: But it was to a point where I was looking
- 55:46Speaker 3: at all, right, well, it'll be at least forty days
- 55:49Speaker 3: before they start, you know, deciding if they're going to
- 55:52Speaker 3: come after my car or not. Yeah, you know what
- 55:54Speaker 3: I mean. So what do I absolutely need? Well, I
- 55:56Speaker 3: need the rent I need the car, because those are
- 56:00Speaker 3: the two things I absolutely needed to have. All these
- 56:03Speaker 3: other things were like things that either somebody came to
- 56:07Speaker 3: get them or they got shut off. I could deal, yeah, yeah,
- 56:12Speaker 3: But at the same time I was out there hustling
- 56:14Speaker 3: trying to find that next job or you know, taking
- 56:17Speaker 3: little tiny things to you know, get a couple of
- 56:19Speaker 3: bucks to come in. But same same as menace man.
- 56:22Speaker 3: Just I was too and maybe I should have, but
- 56:26Speaker 3: I was too proud to ask anybody, and I certainly embarrassing.
- 56:30Speaker 3: I certainly wasn't going to ask my parents because at
- 56:32Speaker 3: the time, I think, even still to a certain degree,
- 56:35Speaker 3: even at this point in my life, everything that I've
- 56:37Speaker 3: done or whatever, I still feel like I have something
- 56:39Speaker 3: to prove to my parents, you know, because of like
- 56:44Speaker 3: the whole boarding school thing, and you know, like you
- 56:47Speaker 3: guys thought I was gonna end up in jail. Yeah,
- 56:49Speaker 3: you guys thought I was gonna end up you know whatever,
- 56:51Speaker 3: homeless or you know, but because I didn't pay attention
- 56:54Speaker 3: in school as much as I should have or whatever.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Like so I kind of still have this I don't know,
- 57:00Speaker 3: I get this, this this itch to scratch, you know.
- 57:03Speaker 3: But so they were the last people out ever going
- 57:06Speaker 3: to go. But did you have ask for anything?
- 57:08Speaker 15: Did you have friends that made enough money for you
- 57:09Speaker 15: to borrow from them? Because I didn't have any no
- 57:12Speaker 15: class friends.
- 57:13Speaker 3: No, I didn't, although I do remember and shout out
- 57:16Speaker 3: to my buddy Dan I've mentioned before, I was in
- 57:20Speaker 3: one of those spots and I was we were just
- 57:22Speaker 3: talking about stuff, but I wasn't like I wasn't asking
- 57:24Speaker 3: for anything. And he but he just knew I was
- 57:27Speaker 3: going through like a tough spot and he sent me
- 57:29Speaker 3: five hundred bucks. Oh wow, he goes, this isn't alone.
- 57:31Speaker 3: I'm just giving to it. And I eventually did did
- 57:34Speaker 3: like as an adult. It was like years later, I go, hey, man,
- 57:36Speaker 3: you know what I thought about recently.
- 57:37Speaker 5: I thought about night. You know, I gave him five and.
- 57:40Speaker 15: Head like, you are taking this just the principal.
- 57:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just the principal, the whole thing. But we
- 57:45Speaker 3: because we kind of came up at the same time.
- 57:47Speaker 3: We were like business. You know, we met in radio
- 57:50Speaker 3: and uh you know he wasn't like my high school
- 57:53Speaker 3: buddy or something, but we came up in the business
- 57:55Speaker 3: together and still one of my closest friends of this day.
- 57:58Speaker 3: But he just did that, you know, unexpected, just it
- 58:01Speaker 3: just showed up. Yeah, like that that meant so much.
- 58:03Speaker 7: Yeah, during that time period, you know, coming up in
- 58:06Speaker 7: radio early twenties, and it's like if somebody had money,
- 58:09Speaker 7: like we all kind of just had money, you know,
- 58:11Speaker 7: like we all kind of just like shared it together. Yeah,
- 58:15Speaker 7: And so it wasn't like we weren't like, you know,
- 58:18Speaker 7: borrowing money from anybody, like, oh, dude, we're gonna like
- 58:21Speaker 7: buy a bunch of groceries. Are we're gonna go to
- 58:23Speaker 7: this restaurant? And we got it covered. So whoever had
- 58:25Speaker 7: the money, they would just cover it.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Was like an old timey movie.
- 58:27Speaker 5: We would sit around count how much money we have
- 58:30Speaker 5: among the group, and that's the money we used to
- 58:33Speaker 5: get beer or and decide like what the entertainment was
- 58:36Speaker 5: going to be. Yeah, basically like plans were right, like
- 58:38Speaker 5: we have X amount of dollars, how much you go
- 58:40Speaker 5: towards food and beer, and how much you go towards entertainment.
- 58:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:44Speaker 5: But I was also the opposite end of that. I
- 58:46Speaker 5: was the one loaning the money. I had a roommate
- 58:47Speaker 5: who made probably five or ten times what I made.
- 58:51Speaker 5: I would have an extra five bucks at the end
- 58:53Speaker 5: of the month after paying my rent. And I paid
- 58:55Speaker 5: his rent so many times, but he paid me back
- 58:58Speaker 5: with interest. Oh that's what he spending his money on.
- 59:01Speaker 5: Booze and oh does begin with the letter L correct?
- 59:05Speaker 5: I know exactly he would borrow five hundred bucks. He said,
- 59:08Speaker 5: if I borrow five hundred bucks today, I'll pay you
- 59:10Speaker 5: back five point fifty on Friday.
- 59:12Speaker 15: I said, deal, right, money lend.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it went all to alcohol. How we were
- 59:19Speaker 3: just talking about this recently in the office, and I
- 59:21Speaker 3: forget how how it came up. Interesting thing. We can
- 59:23Speaker 3: open up the phones and the and the text on this,
- 59:25Speaker 3: like what's like, what's an example of the job, because
- 59:28Speaker 3: there are some easy jobs out there. It's like, dude,
- 59:30Speaker 3: you get paid to do that, right, Like that's like
- 59:33Speaker 3: a job so easy it feels like stealing.
- 59:35Speaker 6: Yeah, there are.
- 59:36Speaker 5: People out there really working for their money. Oh hell yeah,
- 59:39Speaker 5: and there and you see that.
- 59:41Speaker 3: And while there are you know, elements of this job,
- 59:44Speaker 3: be it the schedule, people don't really realize just how
- 59:47Speaker 3: much time and you know, work does go into this job.
- 59:52Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, it is kind
- 59:53Speaker 3: of like stealing. Like we're all sitting here chopping it
- 59:57Speaker 3: up about like right now, like what we're getting paid
- 59:59Speaker 3: to have this conversation. So it would be disingenuous of
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: us to say otherwise, like that this month, that this job, yeah,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: you know that this job doesn't feel like stealing. Now
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: when the alarm clock goes off when it does towards you,
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: that doesn't feel like stealing, because that's what you're getting
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: paid for. That's the real that that that's the real
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: you know quote you know, uh sacrifice right, yeah, you know.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: Everything else everything else is like work, but it doesn't
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: involve it shovel not painting a stripe on the highway.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: So we're automatically going to put this job on the list,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: But like, what other jobs do you think should go
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: on that list? Jobs that are so easy it feels
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: like stealing? Or did you ever have one of those jobs?
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: I think that's how it came up to. Have you
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: ever had a job where you're like, dude, this is
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: so easy all I got to do? And you hear
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: about that every once in a while, especially the people
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: with a remote job. Oh yeah, that you don't have
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: to go in the office, Like dude, I spend like
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: three hours a day and it's supposed to be a
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: full eight hour day, Like I spent actually three hours
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: a day, blah blah blah, and it's a yeah, it's
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: a full time talary. It's basically stealing. I wouldn't have
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: the discipline but to work for you'd be distracted. Oh
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: God knew. I don't think he would either. He would
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: he would get distracted by the other stuff around the house.
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: He'd find a reason to go a routine.
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: All that blankets a little off.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: I decided about a guy that I knew who tried it,
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: and it didn't work out for him either. And he
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: even had to do at some point where Oh a
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: mind trick, A mind trick where he was working out
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: of the house, like the business that they had moved
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: their headquarters, right, so he was still in the town
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: that we were in. Headquarters had moved somewhere else. He
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: didn't want to move. He's like, nah, let's work out
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: of the house. He eventually moved and picked up the
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: family and went to where the headquarters was. Because he
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: would wake up every day and couldn't get motivated. His
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: work was suffering. He was about to lose a pretty
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: good paying job. He's like, all right, so I got
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: to figure out something. So he would wake up, shower,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: get dressed like he was going to the office, go downstairs,
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: get in his car, drive to go get coffee and
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: to pick up the time, the newspaper or whatever else.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: Then he would drive home and then start work. He
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: couldn't just come downstairs and start working. He had to
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: get dressed in the house, get into the car, go
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: somewhere for something, in this case coffee, and then come
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: home and then start working.
- 1:02:24Speaker 15: I've never heard anything like that.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: And he did that for a while to work for
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: a minute, but then that started wearing off, and then
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: that's when he picked up.
- 1:02:30Speaker 15: And they talk about taking a long way around that crazy.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: Some people that are like really disciplined for it, and
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: some people that just can't.
- 1:02:37Speaker 15: Yeah, my husband works from home. It's not an issue.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Yeah, So what's a what's a job so easy it
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: feels like stealing? Do you have one of those jobs?
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Have you had one of those jobs?
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: Like Morgan, didn't you put blow your back out in Asia?
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: He show?
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: So it was Jeff that brought this up. This reminded me,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: So I was like, I know, we were talking about
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: it in the office. If you have like a good
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: job that's easy, it feels like stealing. Or you know,
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: like a.
- 1:03:13Speaker 12: Security guard, like security guards. I did that job for
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: a little while and it was the easiest job ever.
- 1:03:18Speaker 12: And now the security guards, like the ones that work here,
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: they got to figure out.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: They just sit on their phone.
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: Ye, yeah, just watch episodes of whatever. Like I had
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: that job, and I was in like a little guard
- 1:03:29Speaker 12: booth for a bougie neighborhood.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: A little cheer on them.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: You don't get.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: It's like Marty Crane on Fraser. Fraser's dead. He was
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: like a yeah, retired cop and now he's like doing
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: some security stuff.
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: Chilling Man Nice.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Said.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: Sometimes they make you punch in and like different stations
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: to prove you're making the round.
- 1:03:49Speaker 12: I had to do that at a dog food making place. Yeah,
- 1:03:52Speaker 12: and I had to write a little beach cruiser around
- 1:03:55Speaker 12: and check in. But I mean, still such an easy job.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Gregorr, Apple watch is going to let you know it's
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: time to dand up anyway, says I worked for red
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: Bull for eleven years. My job was to take pictures
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: of product displays at grocery stores. Job driving around, but
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: no one was watching this. One says I work as
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: a research administrator for a hospital. It feels like stealing
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: because I only work a couple hours a day, but
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: I make over one hundred thousand dollars.
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: How do we get that job?
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: They exist?
- 1:04:25Speaker 19: Man?
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Like the other one. I have a government job. In management,
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: super chill, zero stress over six figures and a we'll
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: get yeah, we'll get it done some other day attitude.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: That very secure job with excellent benefits, but it's important
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: to stay self motivated. Alice is easy to get bored
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: and time drags. Oh okay, yeah, so government jobs, good
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: city jobs, right, shovel leaners, you know, almost impossible to
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: lose your job totally, Come on, everything goes at a
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: snail's pace and nobody expects it done anytime soon. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: I had one where I was working audio visual for
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: a hotel, the International Mark Hopkins in San Francisco, and like,
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: all we had to do is whenever there was like
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: a request to put something together, like if somebody was
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: having a meeting, we just plugged in a couple of
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: TVs here and there. But also what kicked ass was
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: like they had twenty four hour food there, so it
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: was basically like a Vegas style buffet behind the scenes,
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: and then we for employees and we could just walk
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: in and eat whatever we want. I probably gained like
- 1:05:40Speaker 7: twenty pounds. It kicked ass. The only part that sucked
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: about that job is my boss. He had no audio
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: visual background. He was just a manager out of Denny's.
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: And then so like sometimes sometimes he'd be part of
- 1:05:53Speaker 7: a project that I'm in, and like he's trying to
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: figure out how to plug in the wires because he
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: doesn't know anything. I'm like, dude, just move out of
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: the way. I can plug this in in like five seconds.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: On the text ruled this is consulting free money.
- 1:06:06Speaker 15: I've always wanted a consultant.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: I'm a contractor. I used to. I'm used to busting
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: my butt installing machines and fixing stuff. I worked at
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: so many production plans. I get asked to come into
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: different plants as a consultant for production schedules and process flow.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: I don't get dirty. I walk around with the clipboard.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: It feels like I'm getting paid to hear myself talk.
- 1:06:25Speaker 6: Awesome.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's pretty great.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:06:29Speaker 12: Life coaches, right, Life coaches is the biggest hustle to
- 1:06:33Speaker 12: be Life coach?
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: Yeah, but is that a full time job?
- 1:06:37Speaker 15: What good of a hustler you are?
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Yeah? This one says lifeguarding. Every summer in high school,
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: I get paid pretty good money to sit around in
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: the sun with hot girls and get tan r We
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: usually had five lifeguards and two chairs, so we would
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: rotate every forty minutes twenty minutes on each chair, followed
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: by sixty minutes off. So easy, this one says on
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: the text over to two two ninety seven metal courier.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: And most days it feels like I'm stealing tons of driving.
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: But there are days that I sit for six plus
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: hours on the clock doing nothing. Hell yeah, damn beverage
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: cart girl at a golf course. Best job ever for
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: a young adult, of course.
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: Oh I bet the tips too.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: I had a job working at Pizza Hut at the
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: central order taking facility. Great pay, free pizza and PEPSI.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: We would play backcamm and in cards all day while
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: taking people's orders. All complaints were sent straight up to
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: the managers.
- 1:07:29Speaker 15: All right, that's the job to beat. That's a good one.
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: Oh I think this is the job to beat. Worked
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: at the hospital for three months. Had to sit in
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: a room for eight hours and flip a switch if
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: the power went out. To switch was programmed to flip
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: over automatically, though, so I was to make sure it
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: actually did it.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: So I was a backup to the backup, and the
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: power never went out, and I made twenty five bucks
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: an hour.
- 1:07:50Speaker 15: Woa's insane job.
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: I work for a school district as a maintenance worker
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: and I work about two hours a day.
- 1:07:56Speaker 8: That's good.
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: My wife works from home in app security and makes
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: two hundred and seventy thousand.
- 1:08:06Speaker 6: Yeah, oh christ, that's good.
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: I had a friend who was a consultant. He couldn't
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: even define what his job was. I said, what does
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: consultant mean? He's like, I don't really know. And then
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: I went to visit min at work once and he
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: got a big report that he was supposed to consult
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: on and he said, check this out, and you just
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: threw it in the garbage, Like wow, they won't even know.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well do I work for the county in Arizona.
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: It's chill four days a week with three day weekends.
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: Nice dream.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: Yeah, three day weekends every week. That sounds pretty good.
- 1:08:39Speaker 15: You guys might not think this is stealing, but I did,
- 1:08:42Speaker 15: maybe Sammy Will. I used to get hired to wear
- 1:08:45Speaker 15: like those big like character heads and stuff at the
- 1:08:48Speaker 15: mall in Kansas City, and I go around and I
- 1:08:50Speaker 15: would dance and mascots, yeah, like play with the kids
- 1:08:53Speaker 15: and stuff. And I got paid for it. The ruled,
- 1:08:56Speaker 15: well that new modeling in college.
- 1:08:58Speaker 17: Two things.
- 1:08:58Speaker 15: I can't believe.
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: It does sound annoying. Like for her, she's great, she's
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: so great.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: You see her. You see Gina at these events, listener events,
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: and people their kids come up, and she has this
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: genuine interest in other people's kids, which I can I admire.
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: I admire that you have that ability.
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: I can't.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: I can't even fake it. Oh I'm nice, I'm nice,
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: you know what I mean. But like she's really into it, right,
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: get down and.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: Dance with them.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: She's had the energy.
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: But mascoting with like young people's fun it is, But
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: when if you're a mascot, like what do you did
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: that too? Where you're a mascot in your around adults,
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: like people just want to mess with you.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: Well, this is what I was an intern at the
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: radio station. The station was B ninety four and the
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: mascot was a bee. It was a bumblebee mascot thing
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: with dirty, sweaty head that's stunk. It was like, you know,
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: like I'm imagining this is what Luke Skywalker was smelling
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: when he crawled inside that tantan whatever the hell it was.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: It was so gross because every intern in the past
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: fifteen years had sweated in the same thing.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: Yeah, and yeah, and you're out in the heat.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: It's a gas station in the middle of Pittsburgh somewhere,
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: and adults just want to message. People are coming by
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: to win a radio station frisbee and a beer cuisy.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Our station that not so much worthy. But I did
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: have another guy who was the mascot for the for
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: the Pittsburgh Pirates.
- 1:10:15Speaker 15: Okay, the actual mascot.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: Yeah, well there were two of them. There was like
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: a pirate, like a guy who go around, and then
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: there was the well and then there was like the bird,
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: the parrot like so, but he was the dude in
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: the you know, swashbuckling however, Yeah, and that that was
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: an easy job, man. Yeah.
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: Our station had a dog costume and I did that
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: a couple of times out of nightclub. It's so sweaty,
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: so nasty, so cross.
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: And then but in high school, I don't know if
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: you guys had this, but they had the powder puff
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: game where the girls girls.
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: I got to it.
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: Yeah, and I got to be the mask guy and
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: like it was a cougar. And then when you were
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: like that young, it was it was super fun. Yeah,
- 1:10:49Speaker 7: you know, everybody just like wanted a party.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Yeah eight seven seven forty four, Woodie, you can send
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: us a text over to two two nine eight seven. Honestly,
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: I think the easiest part of any job that I've
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: had is when you know they send you out to whatever.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: Oh we're gonna be at x y Z on Wednesday
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: from four to six pm, and you go out there
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: and the only thing you had to do was twice
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: an hour, do these like you know, little call inso
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: the radio station like, oh hey, it's Woody, I'm out
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: here at x y Z. We're gonna be here till four.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: We're giving away tickets to blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:11:24Speaker 3: Come on by and see us again. We're here till four.
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: It's Woody for w x y Z. That's all you did.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: And the rest of the time you're hanging out and
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: saying hi to listeners. And it paid two hundred dollars
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: an hour. Geez, two hundred bucks in that, so four
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: hundred bucks to stand there for two hours, call in
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: on the radio twice, and then shake canceled listeners.
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: Two hundred bucks an hour.
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: Dude, it's so crazy you say that because I just
- 1:11:49Speaker 7: hang out some listeners recently and they go, do you
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: hate doing this? I go, why, we're just sitting hanging
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: out and getting at the job. Yeah, like, no, it's cool.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Ain't here for free dogs eight seven seven forty four Wooding.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: You can send us a text over to two two
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: nine eighty seven. Speaking of easy money, you know, we
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: we had Tyler set up a lemonade stand, remember.
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: We talked about that.
- 1:12:12Speaker 15: Well he did it, damn.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: I want to find out what the strategy was and
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: then we'll figure out how much he made because Tyler
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: was always kind of a hustler, you know. Yeah, but
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: uh yeah, yeah, and so it was kind of a
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: challenge to see just setting out how kids do because
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: we were talking about how I'll stop, Jeff will stop.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: But you know, you see these lemonade stands. I saw
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Gary Vee, Gary Vaynerchuk that must have been listening because
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: it sent a video right to my feed where he
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: stopped by and saw this kid with a lemonade stand
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: and gave him twenty bucks. Yeah, same kind of thing.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: But how much can be made, you know with these
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: these lemonade stands. Yeah, there's a there's a photo posted
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: on Instagram if you.
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: Want to see a visual at the what he show
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: on Instagram?
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: What is set up look like?
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, but then we'll find out how it went. Yes,
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: Jeff tells me, because you went with him? I didn't, okay.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: And then Tyler goes, well, there's kind of more to it,
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: cause I said, hey, how'd your lemonade stand go? And
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: I came in this morning.
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: He goes, who's a you know, who's a Who's good?
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: There's more to it a little more to it, you'll hear?
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: All right, all right, okay, alright, so we'll we'll find
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: out what happened and how much he make that's the question.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: How long was it?
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: Two hours? It's about two hours?
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: Yeah? How much he make? All right?
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: More what he shows next?
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Hang right after these lovely the woody shoe.
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: Well, we were challenging Tyler to go out and sell
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: some lemonade noise. He said, all right, you're gonna have
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: a lemonade stand, and it's just got to be lemonade. Right,
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: You'll go out and see what you can do. Now,
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: the rest of it was up to him. The strategy,
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: how he was going to get people to buy eliminade
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: from a grown ass man.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Marketing, Yeah, marketing, you know, things like that.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: But he's he's hustle the babe. He's out there, he's
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: making a hatch, right.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: So, and I told him that I would match the
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: money that he made on his lemonade sales on the
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: on the text, I said, well, he be reimbursed for
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: his expenses or was that part of the deal revenue expense?
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: Probably lost the whole thing. Now I will cover the
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: I will cover the expense of like the lemonade or
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: whatever you had to end up doing. I had a
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: legit sign. Yeah, I saw it on the photo, and
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I saw free cookies. There were some cookies on the table.
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: I'll reimburse you for the cookies.
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: I will say. This is where I had some help.
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: That was all Jeff, So appreciate them.
- 1:14:40Speaker 7: So I did.
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: I did the sign, I did the cookies, I did
- 1:14:42Speaker 6: the lemonade. He just he shows the hustler. Well, he
- 1:14:45Speaker 6: showed up with the skills, you know what I mean.
- 1:14:46Speaker 6: He brought lot.
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I did create the sign. Wait, so okay,
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: oh you did make the sign? Yeah, well I printed it.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: He printed it, but like I made the design for it.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: Oh did you do that or did AI do it?
- 1:15:00Speaker 8: Hey?
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: I helped a little bit.
- 1:15:04Speaker 7: Ye see the photo at the show on Instagram.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's it's on there anyway. So Jeff was
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: there to document everything, right, and you guys were on
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: a bike path, right, so a lot of a lot
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: of traffic traffic. Yeah, yeah, all right, So how did
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: it go?
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: It went? Uh, it went pretty well, I guess it's
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: the easiest way to say, pretty well.
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:27Speaker 6: We had some really great people stop by, and we
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: had some interesting people stop by.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: Okay, Well, we didn't tell anybody where you were going
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: to be. That was part of it because you know,
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: we didn't.
- 1:15:37Speaker 6: Want true we want true customers.
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: Yeah, we want to see how he would do.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Just put him out there randomly in public, not like,
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: oh well Tom was gonna be out selling lemonade, go
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: to this place at this time and have a bunch
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: of listeners.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: Just show up in your near a path because it
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: looks like your back is facing Yeah.
- 1:15:54Speaker 6: So there was a street right there, and then in
- 1:15:56Speaker 6: the middle where like the center median is, there's a
- 1:15:58Speaker 6: full on bike path walking, and then there's another street.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: There are other people out there selling stuff too.
- 1:16:04Speaker 6: Maybe on any given day, but not today. No competition.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: He had no competition. Oh so this should have been
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: even easy.
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:16:11Speaker 6: Yeah, So Tyler's selling techniques were very unusual. He had
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: a good idea hooking people in with the free cookies.
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:16:20Speaker 12: Well, here he is trying to get some female joggers
- 1:16:23Speaker 12: attention and attempt to sell them some cookies.
- 1:16:25Speaker 6: All right, cookie's ladies, you want some free cookies? Appreciate it?
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: Why would people out there exercising.
- 1:16:34Speaker 6: People random? There's a lot of people running by. It's
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: an exercise path.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Right, you know what I mean?
- 1:16:40Speaker 15: Yeah, they're not a crowd.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like hydration or something's running. But if you're out
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: there doing the running, it's because you don't want to
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: be a fat ass. And so like, why would you
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: undo everything you're doing with the running?
- 1:16:52Speaker 7: You should have came up with a fake story like, oh,
- 1:16:54Speaker 7: you know, raising money for kids, that's on the way.
- 1:16:59Speaker 6: Cook's lady, he wants some free cookies. Appreciate it?
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: God forbid, you have a carb yea, already, you get it.
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: You love big bash Yeah, projecting, all right, there's a
- 1:17:15Speaker 6: lot of that going on.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: He did.
- 1:17:16Speaker 12: You know, he was very good when when people came
- 1:17:19Speaker 12: and talked to him. He did very well with the crowds.
- 1:17:21Speaker 12: Here's a really positive sale he had in one of
- 1:17:23Speaker 12: his BS stories.
- 1:17:24Speaker 6: Okay, what are you up to? So just give away
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: free cookies with the purchase of who don't nominate him?
- 1:17:29Speaker 6: The small fine print, all of it goes to charity.
- 1:17:31Speaker 6: So that is we have a I have a friend
- 1:17:33Speaker 6: named Greg. He is definitely afraid of lady bugs. So
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: we're trying to raise money. She sent it to therapy
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: to get his issues fixed.
- 1:17:39Speaker 8: Yeah, it's a.
- 1:17:40Speaker 6: Really really sad illness plaguing America, but we're trying to
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: fix that.
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: For I love it all right, she gave you two bucks.
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: She gave you two bucks. That's threw it away two
- 1:17:50Speaker 6: bucks for your therapy. Greg.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: What was she doing but you're just walking by?
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: Oh yeah, she drove up. She saw it and she's like,
- 1:17:57Speaker 6: I know, I'll stop by.
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, this guy got digits.
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: Well, I mean after that sale, it pretty much went
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: downhill though, Guys, I'm very honest with that's what you're
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: talking about.
- 1:18:06Speaker 12: Yeah, about seventy percent of the people that stopped were
- 1:18:09Speaker 12: a holes. I'm gonna be thirty were nice? Am I wrong?
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: Way? What do you mean?
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: By that.
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: Yeah, Like, I think the easiest way to explain is
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: just you just got to listen to the audio. Yeah
- 1:18:18Speaker 6: a holes. Yeah they were go ahead, Yeah no, that's
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: the easiest way to say, Like they were straight up
- 1:18:23Speaker 6: a holes.
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: Like what do you mean?
- 1:18:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean what would they say to you? Well,
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: let's see, got called a jackass once, got called a
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: sexual predator there because you're a grown ass man. And
- 1:18:38Speaker 6: then there was one other thing that you guys will
- 1:18:41Speaker 6: hear what happened with that?
- 1:18:42Speaker 12: Yeah, So I think most people were just pissed at
- 1:18:45Speaker 12: the fact that there was an adult doing this.
- 1:18:47Speaker 6: I don't think they I don't think.
- 1:18:49Speaker 12: Yeah, it's just in their neighborhood. Why is this big
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: dude out here selling lemonade? This first group that came
- 1:18:56Speaker 12: by were teenagers. Man, the mouse on these kids?
- 1:19:00Speaker 6: Oh wow, all right.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: I buy lemonade?
- 1:19:03Speaker 8: All right, fish out, dude.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: Where'd you get your lemons from?
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: Fresh from my mom's backyard?
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: Hell yeah, yeah, you can see it. Yeah, it's good
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: that back all right.
- 1:19:11Speaker 6: Times are tough too, but you know what, I have
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: several uh have several addictions. So we're trying to get
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: out and get back on my own hell yeah.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: It's pretty bomb right. It kind of sucks due well
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: that Cosby like, is there something in this?
- 1:19:25Speaker 6: No, that's good dude, it's not sounds all true.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: How do we know it's going to your charity and
- 1:19:30Speaker 3: you're not talking.
- 1:19:31Speaker 6: It, Well, it's going to my charity because my charity
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: is straight to my bank account, so.
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: It is technically my charity. Okay, you're not with that kids,
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: not with them. Not a pedophile. You just here to
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: sell the Southern lemonade them, be rid of the little kids.
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: Get a job, yeah, you might.
- 1:19:46Speaker 8: Just working on that.
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: This is a side hustle organ on the job part.
- 1:19:50Speaker 3: Oh do you like forty thirty four? Oh that's a
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: rough thirty four.
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: You know what you was in the forty year old
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: version I had?
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: It was six years. It's gonna be you.
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: Yeah, these guys bigger than he's sitting as teenagers just me.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: But did you get their two bucks?
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: I did?
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: They did?
- 1:20:13Speaker 6: Yeah, but that's a rough thirty four?
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Was not.
- 1:20:19Speaker 6: At all? You still paid?
- 1:20:23Speaker 3: Who cares?
- 1:20:24Speaker 12: Some some carrying some Karen acting dude, what do you
- 1:20:27Speaker 12: call male Karen's Ken's trying to call them like Kevin's
- 1:20:32Speaker 12: Kevin's Okay, So this guy came by and I don't
- 1:20:35Speaker 12: know if he was like the unofficial neighborhood watch or whatever,
- 1:20:38Speaker 12: but he was pissed that Tyler was trying to raise
- 1:20:41Speaker 12: money for the Boys and Girls Club and he didn't
- 1:20:43Speaker 12: believe it.
- 1:20:43Speaker 8: So you're claiming to be Boys and Girls Club, go
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: to work to show it.
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: No, we're going to go straight to the Churney on Monday.
- 1:20:50Speaker 8: Just drop it off and didn't bother going through the
- 1:20:52Speaker 8: city or anything.
- 1:20:53Speaker 6: I don't know how to works, man.
- 1:20:55Speaker 17: I think I should call the pops and see if
- 1:20:56Speaker 17: you guys should be here because I walk this path
- 1:20:58Speaker 17: every day with my dog. I've never seen you guys
- 1:21:01Speaker 17: here before doing anything like this first time. It seems
- 1:21:05Speaker 17: kind of shady.
- 1:21:08Speaker 8: I'm just here to support him. It seems like you
- 1:21:09Speaker 8: guys are just trying to do a ten year old
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: girls job right now.
- 1:21:14Speaker 6: That's what I said.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: I did an lemonade stand with my youngest seven year
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: old and we got about two hundred bucks for every
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: two hours.
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: Oh but I don't know how much they made yet.
- 1:21:22Speaker 6: But this guy's like I mean, it's also part of
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: a social experience. See if I could raise more money than.
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: Pack it for money.
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not like that, man, what was all that?
- 1:21:33Speaker 8: I wouldn't mess with these guys either. I think this
- 1:21:35Speaker 8: is a big scam. I may times you seeing a
- 1:21:36Speaker 8: big guy like this do a lemonade stam not often right,
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: So that tell you so much.
- 1:21:43Speaker 12: But they bought stuff from us, and there we were cool, right,
- 1:21:46Speaker 12: Like we even give him extra cookies.
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: Bro, Like, yeah, we're not doing anything shady.
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: No one's questioning a ten year old kid selling lemonade.
- 1:21:53Speaker 8: He's just overgrown for his age, really overgrown. I mean,
- 1:21:56Speaker 8: of those cookies. Have you even so far?
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: At least two?
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: You don't need the shape shape, I'm.
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: Due shame.
- 1:22:11Speaker 6: He's out of control. He came at me. He's like,
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: oh you look like you're out of shape, and I'm like,
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: rountains of shape. So like.
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: Was coming after me hard.
- 1:22:19Speaker 5: I'm all right.
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: Meanwhile, like he's all coming after me and Jef's just
- 1:22:23Speaker 6: playing with this dog on the side. Yeah your back
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: when he counted.
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: Luckily you had security because these people are not afraid
- 1:22:31Speaker 7: of you.
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: You know what.
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: Security was much needed for the last guy we had.
- 1:22:34Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah, you thought these guys were any kind of
- 1:22:38Speaker 12: trouble that wait, until you hear this next guy that's
- 1:22:41Speaker 12: coming up.
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: Man, he's a gangster ish Yeah, what do you mean
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: trying to describe describe him the like however, you picture
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: basically the same. I mean, like tattoos from neck all
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: the way down to his feet, white beater show, he's
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: got the Dodger hat on, he's gotten the high socks
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: because he's down full apparently, like this dude is full
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: on dude.
- 1:23:07Speaker 5: But like I haven't was he just intimidating or was
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: he like he got like I'm not our fan.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: No, he got in our face like threatening, like oh
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: damnsial dude.
- 1:23:21Speaker 6: Yeah, that dude's in the movie Friday. Yeah, yeah, it
- 1:23:26Speaker 6: might be Danny Trey Hill's son.
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: So far, it sounds like it's going pretty well. Uh
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: he said, you did make some money. I mean we
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: heard a couple of people that they get the teenagers
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: and that uh and that girl. Yeah all right, but like, uh,
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: I guess we got clips from this dude. Yeah this
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: is the show. Okay, So Tyler's lemonade stand. We heard
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: the teenagers give him a hard time. That lady was cool,
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: she gave him the two bus. So his whole hook
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: was you buy a two dollars lemonade and you get
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: a free cookie pretty much. Yeah, and these are the
- 1:24:03Speaker 3: good the big giant chocolate chunk ones from from Costco. Yeah.
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: So for two bucks you get a giant cookie and lemonade.
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: That's a pretty good deal.
- 1:24:12Speaker 6: Damn bad, Yeah it is.
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: Now mister Grimace, who's one of our super fans, he
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: made a good point on the text. He says, Uh so,
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: the homeless begging for money, who may or may not
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: use it for drugs, that's ignored. But Tyler putting in
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: actual work selling lemonades. Oh screw that, not in my neighborhood,
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: bringing up ja. I mean that's a good point, Like
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: you turn the blind eye of that. Here was just
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: a grown ass man just trying to sell, just trying
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: to sell someone. Uh yeah, tell me about at what
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: point in your two hour lemonade stand life did this
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: guy approach is this?
- 1:24:46Speaker 6: This was probably about halfway through.
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: Okay, So and describe the guy again to everybody, the
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: most tuning.
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: In, the most dude you've ever seen, tattoos from his
- 1:24:57Speaker 6: neck all the way down to his feet, wife beaters shore,
- 1:25:00Speaker 6: it's high socks, dodger hat like the stereotypical show. Though.
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: Now when he walked up, did you think like, Okay,
- 1:25:07Speaker 3: this guy's gonna be cool or did you think it
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: was gonna be trouble?
- 1:25:10Speaker 6: So at first he actually drove up, he stopped like
- 1:25:14Speaker 6: on the curve real quick, lower down his window, and
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: he's like, what are you guys doing? And we told
- 1:25:17Speaker 6: him like, hey, we just have a lemonade stand. We're
- 1:25:19Speaker 6: doing it for charity. He's like okay, and then he
- 1:25:22Speaker 6: pulls into the street right by us, parks, gets out,
- 1:25:26Speaker 6: walks and then just starts getting in our face.
- 1:25:28Speaker 15: Oh damn.
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: So I thought it's like, oh, I'm selling okay over
- 1:25:32Speaker 6: gets Yeah. So we're like, oh, maybe this guy's actually
- 1:25:35Speaker 6: stalking by then he starts growing up like oh, he's
- 1:25:37Speaker 6: not gonna by anything.
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: All right, here we go.
- 1:25:39Speaker 8: You guys are running here charity? What charity is this girl?
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: Buck show me? I tell you, I don't have to
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: show you.
- 1:25:49Speaker 6: I mean, you don't pro or something.
- 1:25:52Speaker 8: Kind of weirdly, what do you send the cooking for
- 1:25:56Speaker 8: part of.
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: That?
- 1:26:00Speaker 8: Just bowl office or something? An idiot or what not?
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: It's nothing like that.
- 1:26:05Speaker 8: Sure, yeah, wan't you get a real job like a
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: Walmart or something?
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: Were working on it.
- 1:26:08Speaker 5: Du you dude, Okay, wow, Tyler.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: On a scale of one to ten, how hard are
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: you crap in your pants right now? I mean, Jeff,
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: is there.
- 1:26:20Speaker 6: Probably at about a four or five. I did retail
- 1:26:24Speaker 6: at a four or five.
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: But if you're in the middle of the public and
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: park or wherever the hell you're at. I did retail
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: for eight years. I've seen everything short of a robbery.
- 1:26:31Speaker 3: So like this, I was like, Okay, this is people
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: saying f you to a state.
- 1:26:35Speaker 6: Yeah, like I've had I've had people tell me that
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: all the time, just like yeah, whatever, Like I don't care,
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: just another day.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: The whole interaction, yeah, the whole direction, Like it starts
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: now you're at a four or five, but like, yeah,
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: there's three more clips I got there.
- 1:26:50Speaker 6: Yeah, it go worse. I'll say the first interaction, I'm
- 1:26:53Speaker 6: at like a four. We'll say four and a half.
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: Okay, by the end of it, like by the end
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: of it, well, well we'll explain that as I know,
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: but I want to know on the scale, by the
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: end of it, probably about like a seven. It's almost
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: double almost double what we've heard.
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: So what we just heard was a four. Yeah, he
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: getting close to you and stuff like, Oh he was
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: like face to face, a foot in.
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: Tyler's grown ass, man lemonade, stand this trollo, dude is
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: now in his face.
- 1:27:23Speaker 12: I mean it's not like that, man, I mean he's
- 1:27:25Speaker 12: I think he's just trying to help out and you
- 1:27:27Speaker 12: know he's going through some rescue and sponsor.
- 1:27:29Speaker 17: What are you.
- 1:27:30Speaker 6: I'm just I'm just you know, I'm his friend, trying
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: to help him out.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: I don't know about that.
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: Usually this is just for like little kid, bro.
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: This is a part of a social experiment to see
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: how much money on the experire man set up a
- 1:27:38Speaker 6: kid social.
- 1:27:39Speaker 3: Get your ass, kid.
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: You don't care if it gets to that point, will
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: we Okay?
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: All right, tell you right now more just to that.
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: We be back in twenty minutes.
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: You guys better not be here. Figure out right now?
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: All right?
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: Man, Styler, Bro, what's your last name?
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: I'm not gonna tell you that.
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he's gonna look you up. Yeah, precisely.
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: Yeah, he's like, what you tell what's your last name?
- 1:28:04Speaker 3: Don't worry about it. You'd better be He's not.
- 1:28:07Speaker 6: He's not.
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: He's not. Yeah, don't call the cops.
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: God good, weird he was legit, man, he was.
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: Scared just a little bit.
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: A four and a half.
- 1:28:27Speaker 6: This point, you're still a four and a half. I'm
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: still you're such a lot. I swear, I swear, I'm
- 1:28:33Speaker 6: still about a foreign.
- 1:28:33Speaker 15: He's asking what your last name is, asking your second
- 1:28:36Speaker 15: I've had people.
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: Ask for my last name when they didn't like the
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: customer service I gave it, Like at the grocery store.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: They're like different, you're in the grocery store. They still
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: they still you're in the wild now, dude, they still
- 1:28:46Speaker 3: get in your face. Okay.
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: And he said he was going to come back.
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: Yeah, but I'm like, he's like, oh, I'm gonna come
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: back in twenty minutes. He's not going to come back. Yeah, spoiler,
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: he came back this cli. But before he came back,
- 1:29:01Speaker 6: he actually like when he was leaving, we had more
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: customers and he's peeling away and yelling at us on
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: his way out.
- 1:29:08Speaker 15: Yeah, and Tim Craig and Nig want to get your
- 1:29:11Speaker 15: weird house out of here.
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: Fucking coming up.
- 1:29:14Speaker 6: You guys are up to look you up, Brochester.
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: It is not that serious.
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: At that point.
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: I'm like, Okay, now we're at like a five and
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: a half. It's like, all right, this guy's being this guy's.
- 1:29:28Speaker 15: Being a little buddy, and there's other people around.
- 1:29:32Speaker 6: There was his mom and her daughter right there, and
- 1:29:34Speaker 6: I was like, I told I told him. I'm like,
- 1:29:36Speaker 6: I'm so sorry you had to hear that. And the
- 1:29:38Speaker 6: daughter's like, well, it's my first time hearing that. And
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: we're like, oh cool, great. Yeah, well, well he came back.
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: Oh he did, and he came back with eggs.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: Yeah, So this dude comes back. It's twenty minutes later.
- 1:29:54Speaker 6: This dude comes back, stops dead in the middle of
- 1:29:57Speaker 6: the street, opens the car door, and this is where
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: I get to I'm like, dude, this guy, I have a.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: Gun to work out.
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: So this dude gets out of his car and then
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: he just starts chucking. He just starts chucking eggs and
- 1:30:10Speaker 6: he's getting out of the car.
- 1:30:12Speaker 14: Oh he threw an egg No, no, no, no, no, no, dude, dude.
- 1:30:17Speaker 14: O man, it's not that serious. Man, I got eggs.
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: Oh crazy, Damn. He wasn't playing dude.
- 1:30:31Speaker 6: That's fine. We'll probably be wrapping up as sentences comes down.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: You're like, ten more minutes. Yeah, Texas says every guy
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: in the hood would have done the same thing. If
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: we see a guy in the hood sound lemonading cookies,
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: he's gonna get checked. Yeah I would.
- 1:30:49Speaker 5: I would have done the same thing.
- 1:30:51Speaker 6: Yeah, it's you know, it's whatever, dude, Like, that's first
- 1:30:53Speaker 6: time I've ever had eggst on it me.
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: So that was that was the first.
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: But like once I you didn't get hit, I got.
- 1:31:00Speaker 6: Said he was aiming for me, and like you should
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: have hit me. I'm a bigger Did he hit your
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: table or anything? He hit Jeff in the knee. That
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: was the only one that got hit, Like everything else
- 1:31:10Speaker 6: fell short.
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: Like he got out.
- 1:31:11Speaker 6: He dropped like half of them as soon as he
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: got out of the car. So and my thinking is, like, sir,
- 1:31:16Speaker 6: these eggs are expensive in this economy. That's a seven
- 1:31:18Speaker 6: dollars you could have donated right there, Come on.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: Man to what to me? Yeah, but he knew it
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: was not going to the charity. Why would he want
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: to give you. He'd rather give you eggs than he wants.
- 1:31:28Speaker 6: Was going to the Epsteine flash. Yeah, he dropped half
- 1:31:33Speaker 6: of him.
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: So whatever. Yeah, So and what was all said and done?
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: So how much did you make two bout what he said?
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: About two hours? Yeah, we were there for about two hours.
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: All right, forty five bucks twenty seven and cash eighteen
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: on zel And I'm not even joking. I had the
- 1:31:50Speaker 3: QR codes for like zell, Cash, app, Venmo, PayPal, Like like,
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: oh you don't, you don't got cash? I got you, dude,
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: Like so wow, than I thought, like, I screenshotted on
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: my QR code so I could just pull it up
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: real quickly. Mima, Hey, you know what, seeing that that
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: guy was smart, what he could have done is he could, oh, yeah,
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: I'll sell you and I got your name.
- 1:32:12Speaker 6: Dumb, so it's fun. Yeah, he dumb. I would have
- 1:32:14Speaker 6: ten bucks tops. I was thinking of ten bucks tops.
- 1:32:18Speaker 6: Jeff was like, oh, you'll probably get sixty forty five.
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: Not bad.
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: Well, Tyler, we don't want to tell you, but we
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: have a special guest joining us now in the studio.
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: I do have something to tell you. Yeah that that
- 1:32:34Speaker 3: Trollo guy is one of Jeff's friends.
- 1:32:37Speaker 6: Was he really?
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:32:38Speaker 6: You were?
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: He was.
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: He's a good friend of His name was Leo and
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: he's a great friend. He listens to the show.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: You're Wild and the Teenagers. Yeah, his son's friends. We
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: wanted it was our social experiment. Never want to see
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: how you could do selling lemonade. Yeah, number two, to
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: see how you would do with your people coming up
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: under pressure.
- 1:33:06Speaker 6: So that other guy legit. Uh No, the other guy
- 1:33:09Speaker 6: with the dog was actually a good family friend of
- 1:33:10Speaker 6: mine as well. So basically you probably had like three
- 1:33:15Speaker 6: real customers. Everyone else knew me.
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: So out of the out of the forty five, only
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: six dollars of that was real.
- 1:33:25Speaker 12: Probably yeah, because my wife blasted it out to her
- 1:33:27Speaker 12: little mom's club on the street. So yeah, a friend
- 1:33:30Speaker 12: of mine that rides motorcycles came by and his wife
- 1:33:33Speaker 12: came by, So we financed.
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: This whole thing.
- 1:33:37Speaker 4: Like that's.
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: Yeah, that's how it was me giving you a gift
- 1:33:45Speaker 6: that we tried.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: We try to get the trollo dude to show up
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: and walk in to the studio while we were talking
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: about it.
- 1:33:52Speaker 5: But he's got a real job he's got.
- 1:33:54Speaker 3: To be at today.
- 1:33:54Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm not gonna lie that that would have got
- 1:33:56Speaker 6: me to a t I'm like what.
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: I told him.
- 1:34:00Speaker 6: I called him afterwards, Bro, you hit me with the.
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: Dog was supposed to be like that homie, that's that's
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: so funny.
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: Well, Tyler's grown ass man. Lemonade stand. Passed the test.
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: Tyler, he passed the test, and now more of the show.
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: All right, well we're back.
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: And uh yeah, Tyler with the grown man lemonade stand
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: looks it sounds like I got to settle up with
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: Jeff g more than anybody.
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: That's true. Big investment he was casting.
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: He bought all the stuff he makes rand security.
- 1:34:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I will send you a bill afterwards.
- 1:34:43Speaker 5: Uh well, we'll figure it out. But nice, nice work
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: Tyler hanging in there.
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: We had fun with those.
- 1:34:48Speaker 6: I just went and gave him a hug. I'm like,
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: I'm sorry, man, I had to keep this from me for.
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: Day and a half. Well, because the the idea started
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: just actually to have Tyler go out and do this
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: lemonade stand. And then we thought, like, man, it's fun
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: to test Tyler to see how he does in situations.
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: Let's just have a couple of people come up to
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: him and give him crab for you know, being a
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: grown man with a lemonade stand, and see how.
- 1:35:09Speaker 5: He does his response. Yeah, and then Jeff just took
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: and ran with it from there.
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: Yeah. So nice work. Thank you to all my friends.
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: That helps all right, Sea bass cheers and jeers.
- 1:35:20Speaker 20: Well, cheers and I got some audio for this year,
- 1:35:22Speaker 20: but the Weekend Audio folded their Woody.
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: Cheers to the Uranus Fudge Factory.
- 1:35:29Speaker 20: We've talked about them on the show a while ago,
- 1:35:32Speaker 20: and it's a total tourist trap. This one was central
- 1:35:36Speaker 20: Ohio where I in Ohio, Missouri, excuse me where I was.
- 1:35:40Speaker 20: And it's just what it sounds like. It's a fudge factory.
- 1:35:43Speaker 20: It's called Uranus and it is designed for little kids
- 1:35:46Speaker 20: and old men. Because I'm passed around some fudge menace.
- 1:35:49Speaker 6: You didn't have any funds.
- 1:35:51Speaker 15: Did you see what their slogan.
- 1:35:53Speaker 20: Is, Well, here's the yeah, like we packed fudge and uranus.
- 1:35:58Speaker 20: It's literally it's every single urine in this pund you
- 1:36:00Speaker 20: could think of in your entire life.
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: And when you walk in the door, Woody, this.
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: Is what they say, welcome to YOURUS.
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: So I was like, Okay, we get it, we get it,
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: we get it.
- 1:36:12Speaker 20: And then I found out it's not even in Uranus, Ohio,
- 1:36:16Speaker 20: was Surrey or Indiana because they've now have franchises. It's
- 1:36:19Speaker 20: just Uranus Fudge Factory. The guy's like, oh, what if
- 1:36:22Speaker 20: a fudge factory was called It's really good it's really good.
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: Fudge from Uranus.
- 1:36:29Speaker 15: They know how to pack that budge.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: Trust me.
- 1:36:32Speaker 20: After about three seconds, okay, we get it. But the
- 1:36:36Speaker 20: fudge is delicious. And for a tourist trap, it's perfect
- 1:36:40Speaker 20: because peanut.
- 1:36:41Speaker 5: Butter fudge ones, you've got Rocky Road.
- 1:36:44Speaker 6: There's some dark chocolate fudge.
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: You would love.
- 1:36:48Speaker 6: Uranus Fudge Factory because again meant for.
- 1:36:53Speaker 20: Yeah, so big fudge case, but also like sixty different
- 1:36:56Speaker 20: types of saltwater taffy, so I got like twenty.
- 1:37:02Speaker 3: Different flavors in there. You intentionally get the gross ones.
- 1:37:05Speaker 20: I picked the first things that were in front of
- 1:37:07Speaker 20: the yeah, because they have like pickle, they have literally
- 1:37:11Speaker 20: every type of candy type like sour, cherry, blah blah blah. Now,
- 1:37:17Speaker 20: so again perfect for little kids and old men everybody
- 1:37:19Speaker 20: in between.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: We don't get it.
- 1:37:22Speaker 20: So I and and they they pour it on heavy,
- 1:37:24Speaker 20: as you heard. Now, as you're leaving, they're like, thanks
- 1:37:27Speaker 20: for coming picking something out of your ainus. You know,
- 1:37:29Speaker 20: they're oh, there, can't stop, So they can't stop. But
- 1:37:32Speaker 20: I tried to get them to stop as I was
- 1:37:33Speaker 20: checking out.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: All right, thank you, young man.
- 1:37:37Speaker 6: Believe it's pronounced urine. It actually it doesn't sound as much.
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: That doesn't fun day.
- 1:37:50Speaker 6: Yeah, I was hoping to be honest. I didn't even
- 1:37:53Speaker 6: realize I didn't know what this place was.
- 1:37:55Speaker 7: Well, we talked about on the ear a while ago
- 1:37:57Speaker 7: really because I thought it was that place where you
- 1:37:59Speaker 7: actually get a mole of uranus chocolate chocolate.
- 1:38:02Speaker 6: That's the Avian Awards.
- 1:38:06Speaker 3: Does that? Yes, there, It was around Valentine's Day, and
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: there was a service that you would send them. They
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: send you like the plaster stuff or whatever it is
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: that you make a mold of your butthole and then
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: you send it off to them, and then they mold
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: chocolates and then you can give like your butthole chocolates
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: to your vale mold your own but.
- 1:38:26Speaker 11: For that are just pre made, you know, just the standard.
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: Customized. Yeah, like you can just go get like a
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: Coca Cola, but like why not have a bottle with
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: your favorite person's name on? Rules?
- 1:38:39Speaker 20: And so they one I went to was Saint Robert, Missouri,
- 1:38:41Speaker 20: middle of nowhere, uh Anderson, Indiana and Richmond, Indiana also
- 1:38:45Speaker 20: Uranus s fudge factory. So will they be as big
- 1:38:48Speaker 20: as BUCkies one day? I guess You'll say. You walk
- 1:38:52Speaker 20: inside and like they have signs above that like don't worry,
- 1:38:55Speaker 20: we've heard a bunch of stupid questions.
- 1:38:56Speaker 6: You can ask us anything like attitude. So is this
- 1:38:59Speaker 6: a combo cheer and jeer?
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's cheers because it's good jeer because it's
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: like the joke goes on too long.
- 1:39:06Speaker 20: I went and I went in thinking jeers, and I
- 1:39:07Speaker 20: went to and when I walked in, I was like, Okay,
- 1:39:09Speaker 20: this is cheers all right again one time you're you're
- 1:39:13Speaker 20: going through the middle of farmland, you know, and then
- 1:39:15Speaker 20: for the little kids hilarious. I wouldn't say, but yeah,
- 1:39:20Speaker 20: I don't want and done.
- 1:39:21Speaker 5: Yeah, greg gory cheers and jeers. I'm gonna say cheers
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: to Viking cruises. I've been watching a bunch of stuff,
- 1:39:30Speaker 5: a bunch of stuff on YouTube, and I'm so boring.
- 1:39:32Speaker 5: I don't it looks I think it looks kind of okay,
- 1:39:35Speaker 5: even though the average age is probably ninety to go
- 1:39:38Speaker 5: on one of these things. But I've been watching a
- 1:39:40Speaker 5: lot of YouTube, and I don't have YouTube premium, so
- 1:39:42Speaker 5: I watched the ads, and every ad, for some reason,
- 1:39:45Speaker 5: is for Viking cruises, and I love how they don't
- 1:39:48Speaker 5: mince words because they say Viking cruises, no children, no casinos,
- 1:39:54Speaker 5: A cruise for the thinking person.
- 1:39:57Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I just think that's so as I'm with you. Yeah,
- 1:40:01Speaker 6: it's the top not want hobby, but.
- 1:40:04Speaker 3: I like sports.
- 1:40:05Speaker 5: A cruise for the thinking.
- 1:40:08Speaker 6: Do you have a question. Is it for their riverboat cruises?
- 1:40:11Speaker 3: Yeah, the same thing.
- 1:40:13Speaker 6: Yeah, that only did those cruises are because I do
- 1:40:17Speaker 6: King river cruises.
- 1:40:18Speaker 5: This particular ad they're showing them going to Egypt.
- 1:40:21Speaker 7: So okay, because I do want to take a river cruise.
- 1:40:23Speaker 7: Because Celebrity Cruises launches like brand new ship line for
- 1:40:28Speaker 7: that and they start next year.
- 1:40:31Speaker 15: To go after you can probably this is down the Danube.
- 1:40:37Speaker 6: They say we're not Carnival, and that's why.
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: I appreciate that. I appreciate truth and advertising.
- 1:40:44Speaker 7: They do have rivers and oceans. Okay, that's the same
- 1:40:46Speaker 7: as Virgin cruises.
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: It looks nice to me. So they're getting it. Cheers
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: for their attitude towards Mediterranean audisty love it, love.
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: It, jeers.
- 1:40:57Speaker 5: I got to say to car washes man, there's no
- 1:40:59Speaker 5: such thing as a good car wash. If you work
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: at one, if you own one, you suck, your employees suck.
- 1:41:03Speaker 5: You do a terrible job. It's just there's no such
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: thing as a car wash where you get home and
- 1:41:09Speaker 5: you go, wow, they did a good job. They one
- 1:41:12Speaker 5: hundred percent of them suck. And if you're in that industry,
- 1:41:14Speaker 5: you suck.
- 1:41:14Speaker 15: Oh wow, okay, you suck.
- 1:41:17Speaker 5: And you but at least they're cheap. Oh wait, it's
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: like thirty bucks to get a subpar crap job.
- 1:41:24Speaker 6: Yeah, you always get the premium and whatever.
- 1:41:26Speaker 7: And then you look in the cup holder's still dirty.
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: It's yeah, they do a terrible job. They suck. You
- 1:41:30Speaker 3: know what I want to do at some point, I
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: want to take Greg he gets to pick the car wash. Okay,
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: we'll take him there. We'll get his car washed, and
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: then when it's done, he has to give us like
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: his I want to see what's so bad? Okay, because
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: why I agree that a lot of car washes take
- 1:41:46Speaker 3: way too long, like the ones where they they pull
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: it out of the car wash and then there's dudes
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: that gotta go and wipe the whole thing and you're
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: sitting there and you're waiting. You're waiting.
- 1:41:54Speaker 6: It's not a quick process, right, But when it's done,
- 1:41:58Speaker 6: I gotta say.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: The car really good. I would like to spend time.
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: But that's what I want to see, Like what does
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Greg like what is Greg identifying as like this sucks,
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: This doesn't look good, Like when the process is done,
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: it's long, it's more expensive than it should be, right,
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: I think if it takes like where does it fall short?
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: Like if you're doing it, if I'm doing it myself,
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: minimum three hours.
- 1:42:17Speaker 5: But where do they get it wrong? Like what's not
- 1:42:19Speaker 5: done to your satisfaction?
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: In the middle of the hood.
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: And granted I have a pickup truck and the guy
- 1:42:24Speaker 5: that was doing it was probably in his seventies, but
- 1:42:27Speaker 5: the middle, yeah, the middle of the hood looked like
- 1:42:31Speaker 5: it didn't even see water. It was just yeah, and
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: the car will still be somebody.
- 1:42:38Speaker 6: It's the first pickup truck they ever seen in their life.
- 1:42:40Speaker 6: Like what is I believe that what he doesn't know
- 1:42:45Speaker 6: because he keeps his car so clean that it's not
- 1:42:48Speaker 6: a big job for them.
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: It's not. But you know for the like for the
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: housekeeping where Greg's hotel room is, you know, like he
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: makes the bed, you know, he's yeah, so yeah, but
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: the average person, they throw your towels on the floor.
- 1:43:02Speaker 6: Gonna happen, It's still going to be dirty when yeah
- 1:43:05Speaker 6: he's still dirty. Yeah, they're terrible. I agree with you, Greg.
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: If there's a car wash out there in the earth,
- 1:43:11Speaker 5: that's good.
- 1:43:11Speaker 6: Let me know, well, we do have listeners that do
- 1:43:13Speaker 6: those custom jobs. A little go show up to wherever
- 1:43:15Speaker 6: you clean your well.
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: The mobile car wash service thing is big because people
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: figured out, like you see on Instagram, laundry maats, car washes.
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: People are always pimpanies as easy like money makers, but
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: they're talking about like the automatic car wash where it
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: just you drive through or you have one of those
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: the different stalls and the big powerwasher things. The money
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: maker or laundry mats where you're just opening the building
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: up kind of runs themselves. You go and you I
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: mean there's service for the machines, and you gotta go
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: and get the money out of Yeah the corn. You
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: gotta do things like that. But people have really stepped
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: up on the mobile car wash services where it's as
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: bout as much as you would pay to go to
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: not the drive through one attached to the gas station,
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: but when a standalone like a standalone car wash, like
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: how much that would be. But people show up to
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: your house and they got like a little van. It's
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: got like a thing in the back, like a reservoir
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: in the back with the power washing thing.
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: And those guys do a pretty good job. Okay, those
- 1:44:10Speaker 5: guys a treat.
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: Yeah, and you don't have to leave your house because
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: it's not a full detail per se. It's just like
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: you know, washing the car. Now, they could do the
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: full detail where they're pulling everything out and doing the that,
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: but just for your regular that might be the answer
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: for you, Greg, I guess so, because there's a billion
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: of those guys. They're leaving cards on your car, like
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: when you go into Target.
- 1:44:32Speaker 6: Just be a millionaire.
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: Greg. Though, no, because if it's the same price as
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: I'm saying, it's the same price as the drive up once,
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: I should say right right, yeah, exactly the standalone car wash,
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: that price for whatever their wash is is it's about
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: the same. Well what I'm paying for this guy to
- 1:44:45Speaker 3: come to my house and do it. Yeah, it's like
- 1:44:47Speaker 3: thirty bucks. It's like thirty five bucks for him to
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: wash my car. Yeah, the premium I mean, considering you
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: go to a car wash, it's about thirty That's what
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: I'm saying. It's about the same price with not hassled, like,
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: and you know who cares if you're sitting around waiting
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: for them?
- 1:44:59Speaker 15: Yeah you're in your house, Yeah, in the air condition.
- 1:45:01Speaker 5: I wouldn't care. Take your time. Just do a good job.
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Eight forty four Woody text us over to two
- 1:45:07Speaker 3: two nine eight seven more Woody shows next, hang on.
- 1:45:11Speaker 15: Show, I'll be right back in a time of luxury.
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you use it the nostalgia?
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: I need to do it to do it outdoors.
- 1:45:24Speaker 13: Show.
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: So this woman in Boston she drops her car off
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: at this auto shop to get some repairs done. And
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: then while the cars in for repairs, she's out, you know,
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: on the town doing her stuff. She sees someone driving
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: her car. Oh, they're testing it out.
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: The car is at a red light, so she goes up.
- 1:45:44Speaker 6: She's like to the driver, a what are you doing?
- 1:45:47Speaker 3: It's my car. The woman behind the wheel had no answer,
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: And then the second the light turning green just took
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: off right.
- 1:45:54Speaker 5: So the woman she turned on her dash cam.
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: App sure enough it was her car, just drive been
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: through an area while was supposed to be at the shop,
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: and so she went back. She got her car. The
- 1:46:05Speaker 3: shop didn't fix any of the problems. Obviously, and they
- 1:46:08Speaker 3: added hundreds of miles to her car, damaged it even
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: more while they were driving it around. Like now she's,
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: you know, trying to figure out her legal options.
- 1:46:18Speaker 15: Yeah, it's like Ferris Bueller. I can't just take someone's car.
- 1:46:22Speaker 3: A lot though, Like, dude, that sucks. Yeah.
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: I figured they were taking it out to see, Oh
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: what's that rattle or right right?
- 1:46:29Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I know people that won't even they won't
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: valet their car. They don't want anybody. I would prefer
- 1:46:35Speaker 3: not to val They don't want anybody driving their car.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: I'm like, dog, it's a civic you know, to take it.
- 1:46:44Speaker 7: I don't like valeting either, really teens because I was like, no,
- 1:46:48Speaker 7: it's just because not because I'm afraid somebody's going to
- 1:46:51Speaker 7: take the car.
- 1:46:51Speaker 6: It's just like, the car's right there, man, let me care.
- 1:46:54Speaker 6: I don't need to go through this back and forth.
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: Well, no, it depends like there are situations where the
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: valets way more or convenient.
- 1:47:01Speaker 5: Yeah, there are, of course, at an airport or something
- 1:47:04Speaker 5: like that. But at a restaurant where the car is
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: eight feet away and you think you're being fancy because
- 1:47:09Speaker 5: you have a valet, I forget.
- 1:47:11Speaker 6: Yeah, and most situations, I don't need a valet, but
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: I'm forced to use it.
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: Dude. Shout out to my buddy Joe, my childhood friend,
- 1:47:19Speaker 3: and he was the one that everybody was trying to keep,
- 1:47:22Speaker 3: you know, us away from each other because we were
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: no good together. You know, he is a very successful
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: lawyer in Miami. He turned out Okay, I managed to
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: figure something out for my life. Yeah, I've done okay.
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: And I checked in with him and I said, hey, man,
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: how's it going. He achieved a life goal like he
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: set out to. There was a car that He's always
- 1:47:47Speaker 3: been a car guy. He's like he's in fact, when
- 1:47:51Speaker 3: we were kids, his dream he wanted to be like
- 1:47:54Speaker 3: do automotive design, Like he wanted to help design cars,
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: and so he's always loved cars. Well, after working and
- 1:48:02Speaker 3: working this whole time, and he's a year older than
- 1:48:04Speaker 3: I am, he finally got himself the McLaren seven fifty
- 1:48:08Speaker 3: s Spider. Whoah is a badass Carde. I'm like, damn,
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: he sent me some He sent me some pictures and
- 1:48:17Speaker 3: I mean, I'm so happy for him, man, because I
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: mean he he I mean, he works, he does work
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: his ass off. I mean he worked his ass off
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: to become you know, the lawyer here. Check out this,
- 1:48:30Speaker 3: check out this other one. Look at that. Look at
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: that thing. Greg.
- 1:48:32Speaker 15: I've never known anyone with a car like that.
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: My question is what do you when you have that?
- 1:48:36Speaker 5: I said, where do you put the groceries?
- 1:48:38Speaker 3: Get it?
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: What do you do with it?
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: Well?
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: He drives, he's using. He's in Miami, right, So that's
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: that's the place to have a car like that.
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: Yeah, like Miami, Los Angeles, Like you know, there are
- 1:48:52Speaker 3: certain places where you'll get a lot more use out
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: of it than you would if you were in Chicago.
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: You know, you're not driving the streets of like New
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: York City. The other thing is he has no kids.
- 1:49:03Speaker 15: Yeah, middle age.
- 1:49:05Speaker 3: He never had, never had kids, but he did. He
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: did work his ass off, and I know it's not
- 1:49:09Speaker 3: a it's not a thing that most people celebrate success
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: these days, but he earned every bit of it. I
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: mean he started. I mean he had the same stupid
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: He was a delivery driver at the pizza place, and
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: then he was you know, a bartender at TGI Fridays
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: back when that was popping, you know, and then went
- 1:49:28Speaker 3: to school and did all these work to best buy
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: sold the TVs, did all the you know fifty or no,
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: he's got a he's got a wife.
- 1:49:38Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:49:39Speaker 5: Yeah, they didn't want you to hang out and you
- 1:49:40Speaker 5: said you can't keep us apart.
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: Yeah we were. We were troublemakers. See.
- 1:49:45Speaker 5: But it's also the kind of car that if you
- 1:49:47Speaker 5: were driving next to it, you would refuse to look
- 1:49:49Speaker 5: at it. I would hope, well, it's so nice you
- 1:49:51Speaker 5: don't want to give them that got pleasure, no vocation.
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: That's different. There are certain times and people like the
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: guys who are revving the engines and doing stuff like that,
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: where they so badly I want you to Yeah, this
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: is like it's a nice car, so of course it
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: is an attention getter. Yeah, but like unless you're peeling
- 1:50:10Speaker 3: out or doing like I like cars. I like cars
- 1:50:13Speaker 3: as much as the next guy. I wouldn't spend that
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: kind of money on a car.
- 1:50:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:50:18Speaker 3: I looked up, like, how I haven't I knew it
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: went for a lot of money.
- 1:50:21Speaker 6: Oh yeah McLaren. Yeah it's it's almost half a million dollars.
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: God.
- 1:50:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: Time, here's my dumb question of the day. Is the
- 1:50:30Speaker 3: make McLaren or is that the model? Yeah, it's to
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: make Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:50:34Speaker 5: If I've ever seen one in real life.
- 1:50:36Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:50:36Speaker 7: Yeah, because we went to Jay Leno's garage and he
- 1:50:39Speaker 7: had a thirty million dollar one.
- 1:50:40Speaker 3: No one in real life. Yeah, he's one.
- 1:50:43Speaker 6: He has McLaren f one.
- 1:50:44Speaker 10: Whenever I see cars like this on the street, they
- 1:50:46Speaker 10: make me so nervous that I don't want to be
- 1:50:48Speaker 10: near them because I'm scared if I hit them, I'll
- 1:50:50Speaker 10: never recover.
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: It's over.
- 1:50:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I would. I would love a car like that,
- 1:50:55Speaker 6: but it would be like a Sunday driver, Like I
- 1:50:57Speaker 6: couldn't drive that every day.
- 1:50:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:51:00Speaker 3: Well, that's the thing is, like his wife has like
- 1:51:02Speaker 3: a just a regular suv, you know, nothing, nothing fancy,
- 1:51:06Speaker 3: and that's what they use for the majority of their stuff,
- 1:51:08Speaker 3: like a daily driver kind of thing. But it's always
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: been his dream to have one of these, you know,
- 1:51:14Speaker 3: supercars or whatever as a car nut, and so you know, yeah,
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: and so he worked for it, he bought it. He
- 1:51:23Speaker 3: got to check it off his his bucket list, and
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: that's it. So you know, you got to be happy
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: for your friends. Yeah, I saw something about and it's
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: so true. Man, if you really look around at the
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: people in your life, who's truly rooting for you. So
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: many people seem to be just keeping an eye on
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: you and watching what you're doing, whether they're like secretly
- 1:51:44Speaker 3: judging or they're you know, just kind of keeping tabs.
- 1:51:47Speaker 3: Are they really notice who's really truly happy for you
- 1:51:52Speaker 3: and who celebrates your success and other people who just go,
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: oh wow, congratulations And that's the that's really the kind
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: of the end of it. Are they truly you know them,
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: Oh sure, are they truly happy for you? Because if
- 1:52:05Speaker 3: they're not, they they gotta go yeah. And I've really
- 1:52:09Speaker 3: figured that out over you know, the last handful of years.
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: I would say it started with I like the first
- 1:52:15Speaker 3: cut of people were the people that you were always
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: the one reaching out to them. If you were always
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: the one reaching out to them, well I just stopped
- 1:52:22Speaker 3: reaching out to you. And that was it right that
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: those people are gone deleted out of your contacts even yep, yep.
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: Second tier are more of those people, the people who
- 1:52:37Speaker 3: are pocket watching or just like you know, they're just
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: they're kind of there as like a fly on the wall,
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: you know, but they're never they're never super supportive or
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: it's it's just about them and what's going on. With
- 1:52:50Speaker 3: them and their problems and their life and their dramas,
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: and you're always the one who's listening. You were talking
- 1:52:56Speaker 3: about that one friend, oh right, that you had to
- 1:52:59Speaker 3: kind of cut out.
- 1:53:00Speaker 6: I had to.
- 1:53:00Speaker 15: And I always say this, like, if you're having a problem,
- 1:53:02Speaker 15: I say, well, it depends are you curious or are
- 1:53:05Speaker 15: you concerned?
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: Because I'm not.
- 1:53:06Speaker 15: Really interested in like scratching your curiosity it's right now.
- 1:53:09Speaker 15: But if you actually care about me, I'll talk about it.
- 1:53:11Speaker 7: But there's a saying, and you love sayings. It's I
- 1:53:14Speaker 7: looked in your cup to see if you had enough,
- 1:53:17Speaker 7: and you looked at my cup to see if I
- 1:53:19Speaker 7: had more.
- 1:53:20Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I like that.
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: I'm gonna write that down.
- 1:53:23Speaker 7: Yeah the no, No, it's an old business guy, very successful.
- 1:53:30Speaker 6: He likes using that again. I looked in your cup
- 1:53:33Speaker 6: to see if you had enough. You looked in my
- 1:53:35Speaker 6: cup to see if I had more.
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: Like.
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: The people who you really should be surrounding yourself with
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: are the people who are actively rooting for you. That's it,
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: like legitimately, not to who are just giving you the whatever.
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: And then the minute you turn around, like do you
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: believe blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah. You believe
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: I'm a clear Yeah, they're keeping they're keeping tabs like
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: I like, I have I have legit, Like when I
- 1:54:01Speaker 3: was texting him, like I have legit joy for him
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: that this happened for him.
- 1:54:06Speaker 5: Yeah, you know it's what he wanted now, you know again,
- 1:54:09Speaker 5: not my thing. What a stupid dream on the text?
- 1:54:11Speaker 3: Okay, well, yeah, I'm sure yours is to be the
- 1:54:16Speaker 3: first person who walks up to the Pokemon machine after
- 1:54:19Speaker 3: it's been restocked, you know. Meat. That doesn't do it
- 1:54:22Speaker 3: for me either. But if that was something as a
- 1:54:25Speaker 3: friend that you were super into, I'd be like, okay,
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: especially life, Yeah, yeah, if you.
- 1:54:32Speaker 7: Never celebrate other people, no one's ever going to celebrate you.
- 1:54:35Speaker 5: Well, it's not scess.
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: I'm saying. It's not like there's a certain amount of
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: success or a certain amount of anything. And then if
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: they have whatever it is, that means it's anything less
- 1:54:46Speaker 3: for you exactly.
- 1:54:47Speaker 12: That's the thing is, like two things could be true.
- 1:54:49Speaker 12: You could both be successful correct be happy for everyone.
- 1:54:52Speaker 12: And again people get tricked into thinking like life is
- 1:54:55Speaker 12: like followers on Instagram. You don't have to have that
- 1:54:58Speaker 12: many real life people that are your friends. You should
- 1:55:01Speaker 12: really only have a small handflip.
- 1:55:03Speaker 6: You know, it's not You shouldn't be gathering them like followers. Different.
- 1:55:07Speaker 15: All you ever need is six because that's how many
- 1:55:08Speaker 15: people carry your casket.
- 1:55:10Speaker 3: Yeah, today.
- 1:55:18Speaker 6: These bumper stickers.
- 1:55:19Speaker 3: Yea, and he set us a text over to two
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: two nine eighty seven more what he shows next time?
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: This is no.
- 1:55:27Speaker 3: Like now you might have you might have seen this
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: on social media, and you know there's a lot of
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: talk about these flock cameras, yeah, everywhere, and people are
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: people are not happy about it. But this was at
- 1:55:43Speaker 3: a it was a city council San Diego safety committee.
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: They were holding a hearing and this guy dressed as
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: Darth Vader. He spoke in favor of flock cameras, right,
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: and uh, this is this is what he said.
- 1:56:01Speaker 11: Thank you Darth Vader.
- 1:56:05Speaker 19: The Emperor is a fan of flock because we all
- 1:56:09Speaker 19: know that the flock cameras are not only following the
- 1:56:12Speaker 19: license plate readers, they are following children so that we
- 1:56:15Speaker 19: can follow and surveil the rebels scum as they move
- 1:56:19Speaker 19: from playground to playground, from playground to pool, from pool
- 1:56:23Speaker 19: to gymnasium.
- 1:56:24Speaker 3: I need this so I can stuck my ex girlfriend.
- 1:56:27Speaker 3: This technology will help us find Luke Skywalker in.
- 1:56:30Speaker 6: His X wing.
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: Okay, so the story is everywhere. All these news stations
- 1:56:33Speaker 3: picked it up about Darth Vader. It turns out it's
- 1:56:36Speaker 3: a completely fabricated AI video, so it's not.
- 1:56:39Speaker 6: It's not a real thing.
- 1:56:40Speaker 5: This only is this guy wacky?
- 1:56:42Speaker 6: He's fake. Yeah, yeah, totally video. But the story got
- 1:56:46Speaker 6: picked up.
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: Yeah, the story got picked up and a lot of
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: legitimate quote legitimate news outlets and they ran like, oh, well,
- 1:56:52Speaker 3: people are speaking out. Even Darth Vader is speaking out, like, look,
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: I think I think we have all and if you
- 1:56:57Speaker 3: say that you haven't, you you're you're you're not being honest.
- 1:57:01Speaker 3: Like I think we've all been fooled at least a
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: dozen times on something like that.
- 1:57:06Speaker 6: So well, that's the thing.
- 1:57:07Speaker 15: It's not that we're stupid.
- 1:57:08Speaker 11: Is it's really realistic?
- 1:57:10Speaker 3: It did? It did pop up. Let's see what else
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: is going on in the political world. Oh this, I
- 1:57:19Speaker 3: do have a clip for this one too. There's another
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: one that keeps popping up. This happened at the LA
- 1:57:23Speaker 3: City Hall. Now this actually did happen. A public commenter
- 1:57:29Speaker 3: was up there making an argument for a new taxpayer
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: funded city service for homeless people. This is where I
- 1:57:35Speaker 3: wish you were on a city council Sea Bass, because
- 1:57:39Speaker 3: I would love to I would I would love to
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: hear his reaction to this. This person is campaigning or
- 1:57:45Speaker 3: would like to have them take up quote hygienic sexual
- 1:57:50Speaker 3: relief clinics for homeless residents. So basically jackshacks out on
- 1:57:57Speaker 3: the streets.
- 1:57:57Speaker 21: I'd like to propose that Los Angeles consider olt program
- 1:58:01Speaker 21: for free hygienic sexual relief clinics primarily serving the homeless
- 1:58:05Speaker 21: and unhoused.
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: This means equality.
- 1:58:08Speaker 21: It means private sexual relief through masturbation or we're appropriate
- 1:58:11Speaker 21: and consensual with a partner, all funded by public tax
- 1:58:15Speaker 21: dollars and managers professional oversight.
- 1:58:16Speaker 6: I mean because Greg says all the time, why can't
- 1:58:18Speaker 6: you just wait till you get home?
- 1:58:19Speaker 3: But if you're on the house still you have?
- 1:58:23Speaker 5: Now was this idea accepted and moving on to the
- 1:58:28Speaker 5: next step?
- 1:58:28Speaker 15: God, I hope not.
- 1:58:29Speaker 4: No.
- 1:58:31Speaker 10: Anyone who has witnessed this in public like I have,
- 1:58:33Speaker 10: I'm going to say probably yes.
- 1:58:35Speaker 3: Did you stop and watch like a like a busker?
- 1:58:37Speaker 6: No?
- 1:58:37Speaker 10: But it was in the middle of the afternoon on
- 1:58:39Speaker 10: a Tuesday.
- 1:58:40Speaker 15: There was a lot of people walking by.
- 1:58:42Speaker 3: Here's a dollar, that's a street performance.
- 1:58:46Speaker 6: I've seen that several times.
- 1:58:47Speaker 20: You were calling one of the overpasses on the strip
- 1:58:49Speaker 20: and vegos I called the I was doing it on
- 1:58:52Speaker 20: the glass noise.
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: Okay, well, was this idea accepted and moving on to
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: the next step, I'm going to say no, no, no, no, yeah, yes,
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: you think yes, all right, Well the answer is no,
- 1:59:06Speaker 3: it was not adopted. A show behind a bush Christ
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: They did not. They did not go for it.
- 1:59:12Speaker 15: Well you can. You can rename anything, rebranded and have
- 1:59:16Speaker 15: it sound like you're a hero. Sexual relief, shock or
- 1:59:19Speaker 15: whatever it's called.
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: Also happening in politics, the Minneapolis City Council. They heard
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: arguments on a very important issue.
- 1:59:26Speaker 9: Bath houses and having sex at them used to be
- 1:59:29Speaker 9: legal in Minneapolis before the AIDS crisis hit.
- 1:59:32Speaker 5: Well now some council.
- 1:59:33Speaker 9: Members and some community members want to repeal that band.
- 1:59:37Speaker 9: Those who spoke out today were mostly from the LGBTQ community,
- 1:59:41Speaker 9: since that's who traditionally uses these spaces. The argument is
- 1:59:45Speaker 9: that it creates a safe space to engage in sex
- 1:59:47Speaker 9: with condoms and other items available.
- 1:59:50Speaker 3: Okay, so it's so over reopen the bath houses. So
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: do you want to do you want to hear from
- 1:59:54Speaker 3: some of the people. These are some of the people
- 1:59:56Speaker 3: that stepped up to speak in favor of the bath houses.
- 1:59:59Speaker 6: Coming back as a gay trans person, bath houses and
- 2:00:02Speaker 6: commercial sex spaces are so special there that are centered
- 2:00:07Speaker 6: on connection.
- 2:00:08Speaker 5: That's the point of them. There as spaces of deep
- 2:00:10Speaker 5: care between strangers. Yeah, so much, care, so much.
- 2:00:15Speaker 15: I believe the deep part, deep anonymous care between strangers.
- 2:00:19Speaker 20: Here's one thing again, Yes we get it. Bathhouses are
- 2:00:22Speaker 20: for gay I took up and no one's denying that.
- 2:00:24Speaker 2: Right.
- 2:00:25Speaker 6: Why does everything gay have to be about sex or
- 2:00:28Speaker 6: getting drunk? That's a great question.
- 2:00:30Speaker 5: A gay bar or a gay bathhouse.
- 2:00:32Speaker 15: Why do you hate fun?
- 2:00:33Speaker 20: That's a fair question as a straight persons were people
- 2:00:37Speaker 20: were jealous obviously.
- 2:00:39Speaker 5: Well, I've posed the same question where you know, going
- 2:00:41Speaker 5: on vacation and the friend says, oh, you going to
- 2:00:43Speaker 5: a gay resort, And I just responded that with what's
- 2:00:45Speaker 5: a gay resort?
- 2:00:47Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 2:00:48Speaker 5: Oh you're going to the ball game.
- 2:00:49Speaker 3: Oh are you going to go on gay night?
- 2:00:50Speaker 2: No?
- 2:00:51Speaker 5: Just ball game.
- 2:00:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:00:54Speaker 5: They love to marginalize them.
- 2:00:55Speaker 3: So here's some here's some more people that the that
- 2:00:58Speaker 3: showed again speaking out in favor of repealing the ban
- 2:01:03Speaker 3: on bath houses.
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: The nineteen eighty eight ban eliminated commercial safe spaces. It
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: drive sexual related gatherings underground, often to unsafe and un
- 2:01:13Speaker 1: inaccessible spaces.
- 2:01:15Speaker 7: When our community is still forced to meet in secrecy
- 2:01:18Speaker 7: for our own safety. Research has shown that pushing sexual
- 2:01:22Speaker 7: activity into less visible spaces does not eliminate the risk.
- 2:01:26Speaker 18: When I was young, much more vulnerable and uninformed, I
- 2:01:30Speaker 18: spent time in private, underground sexual spaces across Minneapolis and
- 2:01:34Speaker 18: the metro area. It is my belief that had a
- 2:01:36Speaker 18: public community venue like a bathhouse been available, things would
- 2:01:40Speaker 18: have been different for me as I explored my identity
- 2:01:42Speaker 18: and sexuality.
- 2:01:43Speaker 5: Bath Houses hold a long history in the queer community,
- 2:01:46Speaker 5: but they're open to all.
- 2:01:48Speaker 3: We all know that straight people love to enjoy the
- 2:01:50Speaker 3: queer community.
- 2:01:52Speaker 6: Sure, yeah, where you live, yo? What have you heard
- 2:01:58Speaker 6: of hotels?
- 2:01:59Speaker 15: That's my question too, Why does this have to be
- 2:02:02Speaker 15: a safe space?
- 2:02:03Speaker 6: Yeah? It makes no sense.
- 2:02:04Speaker 3: So I asked the question what ended up happening? Did
- 2:02:08Speaker 3: they vote to repeal it? Yes or no?
- 2:02:12Speaker 15: Minneapolis is pretty progressive. I say yes.
- 2:02:15Speaker 5: I would lean yes as well.
- 2:02:17Speaker 6: I'm gonna say yes. No, it's gotta be yes.
- 2:02:20Speaker 5: They voted nine to two to repeal the band.
- 2:02:26Speaker 3: Bath houses on adult bath houses and sex venues have
- 2:02:30Speaker 3: been repealed. Mayor Jacob Pray has signed the repeal into
- 2:02:35Speaker 3: shout out to monkey Box, you're back.
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: So there you go, sensitivity training for a politically correct
- 2:02:45Speaker 2: world show.
