Latest / BDGE Fantasy Football / Bye Weeks Bring A BIG Week 5 Waiver Wire
Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: what is going on everyone we are back and we're fresh off a week where I'm sure many of your teams were just destroyed by injuries.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: Sakewam, Barclay, Jamar, Chase, LAD McConkey, there were others, but it was an absolutely brutal week, but there's nothing we can do about it anymore.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: We've got to push forward and the first step in doing so is hitting the waiver wire ahead of week five with all of those injuries.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure many of you are in desperate need of reinforcements.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: But it's the same deal as always.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Michael O'Hara, when Nick's not around, there are no friends or enemies, we're only winning, and we're here to talk about the week five, waver wire.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get right into it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: So just like last week, we'll kick things off here with the quarterbacks.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think the biggest one of the bunch, at least for single quarterback leagues is Aaron Rogers.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: You see that he's having a pretty strong start to the year back to back 20 point games in each of his last two weeks.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: Big number, though, is the fact that we see ridiculous past volume out of Roger, you see it here.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: At least 40 attempts, 40 attempts on the nose in two of his first four games, and then 39 in another one, that is volume that we have not been accustomed to seeing in Pittsburgh.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: With Aaron Rodgers in general, he hit just 40 past attempts in two games last season.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think that game script is
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: influencing that past volume to some degree, the Steelers have an operating and ketchup mode here and there.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: But I also think that we are seeing a philosophical shift with Mike McCarthy running the show taking over from Mike Tomlin because the Steelers ranked top five in past rate over expectation.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: That controls for game script.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: It controls for the situation in the game.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: So we're still seeing the Steelers pass at an incredibly high rate.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't been pretty whatsoever.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: has looked pretty horrific in full games, stretches of games.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's nothing that is particularly fantasy-friendly, but if a quarterback has a realistic chance to hit 40 plus pass attempts in any given game, that makes them an interesting streaming option of fringe QB1, and then they do get the cults next week.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: The cults have been picked apart in certain spots, two games this year.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: It has come against Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: Still, I think it's fair to say that the cult's defense
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: is relatively attackable.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: They have a good game last week, but that comes against Marcus Mariota and the commander's third stringer.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm kind of writing that one off.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Rogers could see plenty of dropback volume and have relative success against this cold steep fence.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: So if you find yourself with a quarterback injury, maybe you draft a Jackson dart or Lamar Jackson, someone else who is banged up or you just drafted someone like Justin
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: a couple of dollars in fab to pick them up and stream them this week.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's a similar situation for Kirk Cousins, who you see is the number one trending quarterback pickup.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: Kirk Cousins, he doesn't care about regression.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't care about what you think about his touchdown rate.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: He is slinging the rock.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: and finding the end zone seemingly at will at least 21 fantasy points in each of his last three games.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then you see here what I was talking about over here on the right side, the touchdowns, 11 total passing touchdowns in four games this year.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: He has a 7.6% TD rate.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: I would expect that to decline at some point this season.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: But to this point, we have not seen it take place.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: He is now
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: So that is encouraging, but the other aspect here is that much like Rogers, the passing volume has been there as well.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: You see them drop back to past 52 times, 1052 passes against the Kansas City Chiefs last week.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty ridiculous, but generally speaking, this is an environment that has been conducive to past volume and just general play volume.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: The Raiders Rank,
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: 9th in pace in the NFL, which is just seconds per play, and that has led the cousins along with the Trailing Game Script specifically last week where you see him get off 52 pass attempts, but that has led the cousins having 152 dropbacks.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: So far this year and 144 pass attempts, both of which rank 10th in the NFL at the moment.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: So the volume is there.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: Kirk is in a groove in the red zone hitting his pass catchers for touchdown passes.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: And next week, they do get the New England Patriots.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: You're seeing here Drake may seemingly hits his stride in week four.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: So there's reason to believe that this could be a back and forth matchup.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: You couple that with the dropback volume that cousins has been seeing, the touchdowns that he's posted to this point.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to believe that cousins is not going to be ranked by most folks as a viable streamer, a strong streamer, and a fringe QB1 option.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the results of this point, while we're not expecting to see them hold up over the course of the full season, not going to average over two touchdowns per game, still you have to recognize what's happening to this point and give cousins some respect.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that cousins is very much a viable starter in week five against the Patriots,
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: the Drake May and the offense starting to look like they can put up a fight.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: Next up, we're going to talk about CJ Stroud who scores 23.1 fantasy points in week four.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: It is a total cupcake matchup against the Dallas Cowboys no matter how hard Jerry Jones tries to make investments into that defense.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: They have been exploitable for the last couple of years.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: That was Stroud's
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: fourth time since the beginning of the 2024 season where he's eclipse 23 fantasy points.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: So that is quite clearly an outlier situation, but I do think that there is an additional piece of context here.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: That is worthwhile to consider when evaluating strides outlook moving forward.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: So much like the other quarterbacks that we've talked about to this point, Kurt Cousins and Aaron Rogers, the dropback volume has been really high for CJ Stroud, at least relative to what we've seen in the past and what we were expecting coming into the year because the Texan's defense has been pretty poor this year.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: They rank
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: 27th in scoring defense, they've allowed 30 plus points in two games.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's important to know that those have come against the bills and the cowboys, two of the better offenses in the NFL.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: Still, the poor defensive play has seen Straud dropping back a ton.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: The Texans rank third in overall pass rate, Straud ranks fifth in overall dropbacks in the NFL.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: So with real passing volume and Straud has looked pretty good as well.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: His efficiency metrics across the board,
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: not horrendous, which is what a lot of people had feared coming into the year.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: So you get shroud-playing solid ball, and you get a ton of drop-back volume, and you've got an opportunity to score 23 fantasy points again in a cupcake matchup, but still.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: We now know that that is in Straud's range of outcomes when he has a favorable spot.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Next week against the Tennessee Titans, you're not expecting the Texans to be playing from behind the Titans offense, has been horrendous.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Still, you could see shroud be pretty efficient, especially now that Nico Collins is backed by his side because the Titans defense
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: hasn't been particularly strong in defending the past.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: They rank 27 and yards allowed per dropback in 27 in EPA per dropback.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a spot where even if we're not seeing stride hit 35, 50 pass attempts like we saw in week two here, even if we're not seeing that level of pass volume, the efficiency could be there.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not viewing stride as a high-end streamer
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're quarterback, your quarterback situation is in a really bad spot.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: And the people in your league are hoarding quarterbacks.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: And the waiver wire is pretty barren.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you can tell yourself the story that Strowd has a solid week.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: Not expecting the 23 points that we saw.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: But 18 points to help get your team by while you figure out.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: long-term solutions, or maybe you're just dealing with a short-term injury or a buy to Bryce Young or Patrick Mahomes, he can be a plug-and-play type of player in a match-up against a defense that has not been particularly inspiring to this point.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: We'll close out the quarterback's
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: section here with a couple quick hitters that apply to super flex leagues, first and foremost Tyson Bayjans.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: He gets the quote unquote start against New York.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jets case kingdom is under center for the first snap, but Bayjans plays 100% of the snaps as you see here.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Then Johnson was just being petty after all the reports leaking that
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Beijing was going to be the starter in week five.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't put together a particularly strong fantasy outing.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's really just because the Bayer's run wild on the grounds and Beijing doesn't have a passing touchdown.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that he was quite clearly having the offense moving the 268 passing yards is nice to see.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in a super flex league and you need a plug-in play spot starter type of deal, I think you could get to Beijing this week.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's not someone I would be excited to start, but it was encouraging to see that he had the offense operating at a reasonable level 268 passing yards.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's not exactly what we were expecting.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: He exceeds expectations to some degree in that regard.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: So not high expectations, but
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: This is an offense with a genius for a play call or plenty of pass catchers and weapons.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: So scoring opportunities could be there.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: And if he just runs hot on touchdowns, they're passing in the red zone and agent converts on them.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: He could have a solid week against the Packers defense.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: That has lost numerous defensive playmakers over the last couple weeks.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Parsons is not back.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: they lose Edron Cooper to an Achilles injury last week.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: So we could see the bears offence continue to put together strong outings and if he falls on the right side in the touchdown department, he could have an alright week.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Finally, we've got Tyler Huntley here.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Lamar Jackson picks up an ankle injury in the late stages of the first half in week four against the Titans.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: And it remains to be seen whether or not he is going to return for week five if not it will be Tyler Huntley under center for the Baltimore Ravens just like we saw in the second half of a week for Huntley is not a particularly inspiring fantasy option he is a clips 17 fantasy points just once since the 2023 season he has made some spot starts for Lamar Jackson here in there, but you see the game logs
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: nothing particularly exciting coming out of Tyler Huntley.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: He much like Bajan is nothing more than an emergency superflex option.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I would expect the offense to flow almost exclusively through Derek Henry.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, they're going to have to pass to some degree and allow Tyler Huntley to drop back.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the game plan will quite clearly be centered around Derek Henry.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: Still, given the injuries to the quarterbacks, now that we're reaching by week, some quarterbacks are underperforming.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's worth a look in super flexly, as well, monitoring what the practice reports, what the reports coming out of Baltimore look like.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Moving over to the running backs here, not going to start with the number one trending player, Emmanuel Wilson, you see he's rostered in 62% of leagues here.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: All I'll say is that, unsurprisingly, he takes on the vast majority of the
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: If he's not rostered in your league, you should be going to pick him up, especially if you need an RB2, not going to get too in-depth with that one considering how own he already is.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: But the big running-back position pick up of the week is Will Shipley.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: The Eagles lose Sakewon Barclay who picks up a hamstring injury and is considered week to week.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: and in the same game they also lose tank bigsby.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: He is headed to IR after suffering a core muscle injury and having surgery.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: That leaves Will Shipley as the only active running back on the roster.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: They do have some notable names on the practice squad.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Some guys that most fantasy managers would recognize.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Damian Pierce, Carson Steele, and Jayden Blue, I would expect two of them to get the call up to the active roster for a week five unless they make a veteran addition.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the general expectation is that will ship Lee is going to be the primary back in this back.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: You'll take the majority of snaps.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: See the most opportunities.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he is quite clearly the number one waiver wire pickup.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just about any running back who projects to be the lead in their backfield should be rostered in fantasy football.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: So if you need a spot start at running back, you're in a pretty bad way.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you should really prioritize will ship Lee.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you could reasonably get 10 to 14% of your fab budget down on ship Lee.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you really really need the start, if you wouldn't
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: be in your lineup if you're not desperate at running back.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: I would scale that back a little bit, but considering that we expect him to be the go-to guy for the Philadelphia Eagles, would be willing to get pretty aggressive depending on the context of my team.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think the one thing to note here with Shipley, is that while the general expectation is that he is the one A in the Eagles backfield, I don't think that we can expect him to be
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: The full blown bell count like playing 75, 80% of the snaps, handling 20 carries in a game, because that's just not really will ship Lee's game.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: He has largely been a special teamer and a pass-catching specialist since he made his way to the NFL.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: He never has more than 10 carries in a single game.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: his career best offensive snap rate is just 52.9 percent.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now much of that is driven by the simple fact that he hasn't really had much opportunity since coming to the NFL still just his physical profile, what we know about him as a player you see him here coming in at 209 pounds.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: He just doesn't profile as a guy who is going to be
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: a real workhorse as a russia.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: So don't get too out of line with your expectations for what the role will look like for Will Shipley.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of what I'm getting at here.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the number one priority at the running back position on the waiver wire and arguably the number one pickup of the week.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was saying, I would really be willing to get aggressive if I need starts at the running back position.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: We'll just keep your expectations in line that the final
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: eerily similar to what we saw last year, just headaches across the board, Jalen Hertz doesn't eclipse a hundred passing yards in the matchup against the Rams last week, a game that they very nearly won.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: And they are dealing with a litany of injuries beyond the ones to Barkley and Biggsby, Devontay Smith is reportedly questionable at the very best.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Four week, five Dallas gotter is still dealing with issues.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: They have guys out along the offensive
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: on what our outlook is for Will Shipley, but once again, a guy who projects to lead a backfield in an offense that at a minimum, we know is capable of stringing together consistent drives, putting up points.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: We know that they're capable of it, will it happen?
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: I remain skeptical, but that sort of outlook that is a worthwhile pickup, no doubt about it.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: One of the other trending names that we have here is Keaton Mitchell.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I talked about it last week, so I'll keep it short and sweet.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: But it's very much the same story as how we broke things down last week.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: His role continues to grow last week.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: He plays 38.2% of the snaps.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: He gets 16 opportunities, which were 10 carries in six targets.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: Both of those numbers, the snapperate and the total opportunities lead the backfield in Los Angeles four week four, and they were both season highs for Keaton Mitchell.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's very much an ugly three-way split.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: We see Omarion Hampton's role continue to decline.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: We see Kamani Videl continue to soak up more touches in this backfield.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that it is an ugly three-headed monster, it should give you some cause for concern when considering adding keyt and Mitchell with expectations that you could start him as a low-end flex because you'd do see the production here, 13 points, 11.3 points, that may lead you to believe that he could be a viable starter.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could, if you're really desperate like an emergency flex option type of guy, but for the most part,
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: I would view Mitchell as nothing more than an interesting benchstash because like we were talking about, the role continues to grow.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: When you're just watching the games, it seems like this is a guy that they genuinely want to feature in the offense.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: That shows up in the numbers because, even though he's playing less than 40% of the snaps, he's still getting 16 opportunities in this game.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: So when he's on the field, he is a featured part of this offense.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I would look to
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's becoming harder and harder to hold onto any sort of optimism for the Los Angeles Chargers, but if you combine that explosive skill set and a nice role with an offense that starts to turn things around at some point in the season, you could have something interesting on your hand.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Someone that you could feel are right about in your flex spot, in a strong matchup.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Once again, for the time being not going too crazy on the waiver wire for Keith Mitchell,
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: In the trending pickup section at running back, we have two running backs who I view relatively similarly Brian Robbins and junior here and Tyler Algier will talk about both of them, but generally speaking, I view them quite similarly starting with Tyler Algier we have the whole
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Jeremiah love the asco in week for after it seems like he's on a rocket ship in week three in the wake of week three his role his usage starts to decline in week for Tyler out's year takes on a pretty encouraging role he plays 54% of the snaps and sees 10 backfield opportunities eight carries.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: and two targets any produces 12.9 PPR points on the day.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that the SNAP count requires some context.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that we're going to be seeing 54% of the SNAP's four-tiler Algier weekend in week out.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: So the one thing here is that Algiers overall SNAP total and his SNAP rate was heavily influenced by the simple fact that
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: The Cardinals were operating in the two-minute drill a ton this week after the game, Michael Flare comes out and says that they view Algier as their two-minute back.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: Largely because of past protection reasons, he also notes that Jeremiah Love is capable of taking on that role, but they have Tyler Algier functioning as that guy.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_00]: PFF's Nathan Yonky noted that the Cardinals had 16 snaps in the two-minute drill in week four.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: And as the two minute drill back, Algier gets all of those 16 snaps those 16 snaps represented nearly 50% of his total snaps on the day so just the simple fact that they were in the two minute drill so often I do think inflated Tyler Algier's overall role and his snap number.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then we also have Jeremiah love dealing with some sort of ankle discomfort is how the floor phrased it on Monday.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that coupled with the two minute drill stuff, I don't think that we're going to see Algier playing 55% of the snaps weekend and week out.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: So generally speaking, how I'm viewing Tyler Algier moving forward.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: Given the 55% snaps, given the 12.9 PPR points that he scored, I think some folks might view him as someone that you could consider getting into your starting lineup.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: I just think the usage and his all together role is going to be too spotty for us to ever trust him in our lineups.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: When Jeremiah Love is healthy, I think he should be rostered.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: He is already rostered in 47 percent of leagues.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think that number should be higher because out's year obviously has some
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: and this cardinal's offense is fun, especially for fantasy football.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's not necessarily a great team, but it's fun for fantasy football.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: So he should be rostered because if love misses any time, he clearly becomes a set it and forget it.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: Not necessarily to that degree, but someone that you are getting in your lineup as an RB2, just don't get too out of line with your expectations, moving forward.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: For the most part, he should still just be viewed as a handcuff.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: If you find yourself
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: and a really, really bad spot.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: You could get them in your lineup just hoping that the week to weak fluctuation of the roles of these running backs moves in Algier's favor in that given week, but I don't think the role is going to be consistent enough for us to trust Algier in our lineups.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very similar story for Brian Robinson Jr. You see him pop in week four with 25.7 points.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: But we all know that playing behind B. John Robinson, that is something that is not going to be bankable weekend in week out.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: He scores three touchdowns in this game.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: That is not something that we expect to see.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Falcon score five rushing touchdowns on the game.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Again, now he's something that we expect to see.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: The 11.75 opportunities per game for the most part, that is not something that is going to be viable for fantasy football.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Again, much like Aljir may be in a bad situation if you're in a bad situation at running back, and the falcons have a good matchup.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: You could consider getting Robinson in your lineup just praying that he falls into the end zone, but playing behind B. John getting less than 12 opportunities per game.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's not something that we want to bank on for fantasy football.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think that Robinson is a high-end handcuff.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: He should be rostered in more than 40 percent of leagues.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: Much like Algier, we see that he individually has some juice and this offense is pretty fun.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: They have combined for 80 points in the two starts that we have gotten out of Michael Penick.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: So you combine a running back who looks all right from a talent perspective.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's obviously no world beater, but we know that he can get the job done if he's asked to take a start.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: an offensive environment that could sustain high-level fantasy production that is what we're looking for in our handcuff running backs that is largely what Brian Robinson Jr. is and that is how he should be viewed moving forward an emergency starter but for the most part a bench-stash who you are keeping on your roster if the genre is forced to miss any time.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: The last name that we will very quickly talk about here today is Joe Nixon.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: He signs with the Seattle Seahawks practice squad.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: He has not played since 2024 and there will be some level of entry and excitement.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you already see he's 17% rostored.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because everyone knows who Joe mix and is if you've been playing fantasy football for a while, I'm not going to be looking to pick him up.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this seahawks backfield is going to be a total mess.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: We've got a manual Wilson already functioning as the primary ball carrier.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: We got Zack Sharbin A, poised to make his return in the next couple of weeks.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: He will not be on the field for a week five.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: So, where does Nixon really factor in here?
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you could tell yourself the story that he is still good enough.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: He is still talented enough despite not playing since 2024 to make an impact for the most part, though, I'm going to be leaving him for other folks on the waiver wire if they just want to jump on the name value and think that he could play some sort of a role in this Seahawks offense.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: I really do think that this was nothing more than a depth signing though.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: Moving over to the wide receiver position, the top pick up of the week in my opinion is Keon Coleman.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you need a spot start in your wide receiver position or at your flex, I think that you could get to Coleman and spend a reasonable number of $5 on him somewhere between 8 and 10 if you really need starts.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: In the next week or two, we'll talk about it in a moment, but the matchup isn't ideal against the Rams who have been pretty rough on opposing offenses this year.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not ideal, but this is someone who we could expect to run a lot of routes and play a meaningful role in a Josh Allen lead offense.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: So that opportunity, the reason why people are getting excited about Keon Coleman is the DJ more injury.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: He has been dealing with a shoulder issue for a couple of weeks now.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: He exits early in week two and then he aggravates the shoulder injury in week four.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: The reports coming out of Buffalo at the moment are that the injury is not considered serious.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: But it would be no surprise if he misses the next week or two.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: The bills have their buy here in week seven.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: and then allowed to recover for an additional week during the bills week seven by.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: If that's the case, I think that things are definitely looking up for Keyon Coleman.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: I know that he has burned a lot of you guys over the last couple years, but looking at the numbers looking at how he's performed,
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: He has genuinely stepped up when DJ Moore has exited games, again, that was in week two and week four.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: In week two, he runs around on 68.4% of dropbacks.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: He earns six targets and turns that into six receptions for 63 yards and 12.3 PPR points.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: Very similar from a usage perspective in week four when DJ Moore leaves the game.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: He does turn it into a more productive day, though.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_00]: 68.6% of the routes, seven targets in week four, good for a 21.2% target share, and he turns that here into six receptions, 116 yards, and a score, good for 23.6 fantasy points.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: Do I think that Keon Coleman is some immensely talented wider silver?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: No, not really.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: Do I think it's reasonable that he could have turned the corner?
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that's entirely possible.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: But really, when you have someone who is going to run a meaningful number of routes,
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: has shown that they can earn a reasonable number of targets on the opportunity presents itself and they're playing alongside Josh Allen.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that that is someone that you can start with some level of confidence in fantasy football.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: Once again, they do play the ram, which is a really, really rough matchup.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: But still, I know that a lot of people are dealing with injuries,
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now that by weeks are kicking in once again, you're going to be forced to make some tougher decision.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: So even in a tough spot, I am willing to bet on a guy who can play a reasonable and meaningful role in a Josh Allen lead offense.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: I would view him as a low-end flex option this week.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_00]: But when we're dealing with waiver wire claims, usually it doesn't get much better than that.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I would be willing to spend 8 to 10% of my fat budget on Coleman if I really need to start.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: So next up here, we see Tyree Kill on the trending pickup list for a second consecutive week.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: I was dismissive of Tyree Kill last week on this waiver wire show.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: But there is no doubt about it that everything is heading towards a reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: They are exploring multiple options are Hill and his agent according to the reports.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: At the moment, still it really seems like everything is coming together for a reunion with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reed, the chiefs lose Taekwann Thornton in week four.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: He is going to be out for the year.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: Rashi Rice is also dinged up in this game.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: There's some optimism that he can return after the chiefs week five by.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: But really, the chiefs obviously need wider silver help and Tyre Kill is most obvious name on the market.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: So given the fact that he is probably going to be back sooner rather than later, and he is going to join an offense quarterback by one of the greatest of all time, and one of the greatest coaches of all time running the show, that obviously generates some level of fantasy appeal.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I do want
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: everyone to remain level-headed a win of valuating what Tyree Kill could possibly do from a fantasy perspective.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people probably going to get out over their skis with Tyree Kill just be reminiscent of what he has done in the past and not consider the reality of the situation that we are dealing with.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: What we are dealing with is a 32-year-old who hasn't played football in a year and has not taken a snap since dislocating his knee and tearing three ligaments in his knee and that is a wide receiver whose game is predicated on his speed, his explosivity, his shiftiness, his agility.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: That is not ideal.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: 32 year old coming off a truly detrimental knee injury.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: It would be no surprise whatsoever.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm betting that that is the most likely outcome is that Tyre Kill is just a total shell of his former self, perhaps any read in the homes can get something out of him.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think that this is a player that you want to go all out or on the waiver wire and just blow your fab budget or spend the number one waiver wire claim.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think that Tyre Kille is going to have much gas left in the tank.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps he spikes here and there.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: He gets a big play.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think that we're going to see any level of consistent enough production that you're going to be happy to be getting Tyre Kille into your lineup weekend and
- 28:39[SPEAKER_00]: A quickly say that given the Chiefs wide receiver injury, Cyrus Allen is another trendy pickup for the week.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people will be looking to stash him on the bench.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to be prioritizing Cyrus Allen on the waiver wire this week.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think that we've seen enough out of him from a role perspective to feel like he can be inserted into the Chiefs offense as a meaningful and impactful player.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: even with the Taekwant Thor Nendry in the second half, Cyrus Allen and the Rashi Rice Ndry very early in the game.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: Cyrus Allen only runs a handful of routes, even with all of those injuries.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't seem like the Chiefs want to go to him just yet.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that that's how things are going to play out over the course of the entire season.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're reviewing him as someone who could potentially be impactful right away for fantasy rasters and the Kansas City Chiefs offense, I'm not sure if that's how we'll see things play out.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you've got a deep bench or you're in a 14 person, 16 person league, I think that you could reasonably stash him while evaluating how the usage trends play out in the coming weeks after the Kansas City cheese spy.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: But for the time being, I'm probably just going to be leaving Cyrus Allen for other folks on the waiver wire.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at some of the other big pickups here on the week, you see Dante Myers.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: Most people had never heard of Dante Myers ahead of last week.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: is his first year in the NFL.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: And even though he wasn't expected to play a big role in the Cincinnati Bengals offense, he has been thrust into that role.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: The Bengals were already dealing with injuries ahead of week four.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: Many of their depth receivers were banged up, so Myers was asked a function as the Y to C3.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then they also suffer in-game injuries.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: Jamar Chase leaves in the first half with a concussion.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: Teahagans leaves in the second half within a doctor injury.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that leads to Myers playing a pretty big role in the Cincinnati Bengals offense.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: He runs around on 91% of Burroughs dropbacks, draws nine targets as you can see here in the game log.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: Turns that into seven receptions for 82 yards.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: and 15.2 PPR points, looking ahead, I think that Myers is worth a couple of dollars on the waiver wire because he could reasonably be an emergency flex option in week five.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like Jamar Chase and T Higgins are both very much toss-ups to be available in week five.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: Chase is working through the concussion protocol.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's really a 50-50 chance with most players missing one game with those concussions.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: And then Higgins has been described as day-to-day
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: So, it would be no surprise if one or both of them misses time.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: If that is the case, Myers is obviously once again going to run a ton of routes, whether or not you can bank on him for a meaningful target share, that is up in the air because he is by no means a solidified target earner, but they do get the dolphins in week 5, who have been one of the worst defenses in the NFL, even with a limited weapons arsenal.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: I would expect Joe Burrow to hit his stride, and if he's running routes alongside really just might get sicky and chase brown, Myers could easily earn a relatively impactful number of targets.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: So once again, a couple of dollars on the waiver wire if you really really need a flex option.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: elsewhere on the trending wide receivers, you see tray Harris is on this list.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: He has quietly had a pretty solid season, nothing incredibly flashy, but you look at some of the numbers.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_00]: He has held a strong role and he looks relatively good with the opportunities that he has received.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: So across the full season, 69.7% of the routes,
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: 21% targets per route run, 2.07 yards per route run, and 8.5 PPR points per game, and you see here he is hit at least 9 PPR points in each of the last two games.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: That is nothing world-breaking, not looking like a full-blown breakout out of tray harris, but most of those numbers are encouraging nonetheless.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then we also have the fact that lad McConkey is dealing with the foot injury
- 32:39[SPEAKER_00]: I would assume that it is, but it remains to be seen if that is an aggravation of the foot injury that he picked up ahead of week four.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: But he is now considered day to day, much like DJ Moore, it would be no surprise if he is forced to miss week five with that foot issue.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: If he does tray Harris would be in a pretty significant role, at least from a routes perspective, you see that he has the ability to earn six seven eight targets potentially with Latin Maconkey out so that's pretty nice volume over the last two weeks he has earned 12 targets as well, which is pretty solid but he does get the Denver Broncos.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: who could be without their top two starting cornerbacks.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Surtan is expected to miss a couple of weeks with a ankle injury and Riley Moss picks up an injury of his own in week four as well.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_00]: So if tray Harris is running a ton of routes against a depleted secondary, that's enough to
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: view him as a viable option, someone you could consider getting in your starting lineup.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that he is an absolute jam even if McConkey misses time because while Harris has been solid, again, it's been nothing flashy and there are remain a real concerns about the state of this chargers offense.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see if Maconkey's out if he is could be a nice role for Trey Harris.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: No one I'm super fired up about, but if you miss out on some of the other waiver wire pickups at the wide receiver position and you really need someone that you can get in your lineup for week five, Trey Harris is just a name on a list.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: The final receiver that we'll be talking about here today is Darius Cooper.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think this situation is fairly straightforward with the Vante Smith and Dallas got her out.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Most were expecting either Dantavian Wix or Mackay Lemon to have breakout performances.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: That is not how things play out.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: It ends up being Darius Cooper who leads the team with seven targets.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: Turns that into 18.3 PPR points.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to two touchdowns.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: Don't think that's sticky.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Darious Cooper is not going to score two touchdowns every single week or very often at all.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: But we do know that Devontay Smith is quote unquote at very best questionable four week five.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we could see another spot where Cooper is running routes and has the opportunity to earn targets.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: Still, I think that his production was largely fluky.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he will likely in most situations take a back seat.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: to be other past catchers in Philly not the team leader in targets.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: And we also once again have real concerns about the state of the Eagles offense.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Hertz throws for 93 yards in this game.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_00]: It is a solid matchup in week five that get the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_00]: We've been really stingy against the run but vulnerable against the past.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: They rank 31st in total past defense and 29th in yards allowed per pass play as well as 11th in fantasy points allowed to opposing
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: Still, I really do think that Cooper's performance in week four was quite clearly a flash in the pan.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said at the top, we really know what we're dealing with here.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: Not expecting any of this to be sticky.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're in a really deep league, find yourself in a tough spot.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: You could tell yourself the story that Darious Cooper is someone who's going to stick around for a little while.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: Moving over to the tight ends here, we'll kick things off with Michael Mare.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: The Michael Mare situation is honestly pretty funny because most people, myself included, assume that he really wouldn't be fantasy relevant with rock-bours returning, but the reality of the situation is that rock-bours is just not playing tight end.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: He is playing wide receiver for the most part.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: He is just an all-around offensive weapon, moving all over the formation.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: only 12.7% of his routes have come from an inline alignment, so where he's lining up attached to the line of scrimmage, that is nothing for an actual Titan.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's playing fake Titan, similar to Mike Gissikki, who we will talk about.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: In a moment, roughly 85% of Bowers routes have come from the slot or outwide, so with Bowers not really actually playing the Titan position, that has left
- 36:36[SPEAKER_00]: Raiders true tight-end one and he is running a ton of routes as a result.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Mayor has a 75.7% route rate since Bowers has returned in those two games.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: He has 12 targets and a 14.1% target share and we see him pop for 10 targets in week four against the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, we know that Mayor, unless something changes, we see a dramatic shift in how Brock Bowers is deployed, we know that Mayor is going to be running a meaningful number of routes, enough routes to make him fantasy relevant and a viable, like streaming option, but we also know that with Bowers, being someone who can command so many targets, and Ashden Jenty, being so heavily involved in the receiving game, we'll see some level of volatility in terms of his target total.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it shows up,
- 37:22[SPEAKER_00]: in just the two games since the hours has returned in week three, it was three targets and then week four, it was ten targets.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: So all together, I think that Mayor, the role has been good from a routes perspective, but given the volatility in terms of volume that we expect to see moving forward, he's really just like a matchup based streamer.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like we were talking about earlier against the New England Patriots,
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: who have seemingly found their stride on the offensive side of the ball, you could see this be a back and forth game where Mayor is running routes, the raiders are dropping back to pass a ton, they need to find the red zone.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: So Mayor could be someone you slot into your line up in week four.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that there are usually better options out there, unless your team is in really, really rough shape.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: Still, I think that he is someone who still deserves fantasy
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's very much a similar story with Mike Gassicki to Brock Bower's not in his cell from production sense, but the symbol fact that they are not really playing the tight end position.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Gassicki is virtually a big slot receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_00]: He has not logged a single route from an inline alignment over 80% of his routes have come out of the slot this season.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: And much like the situation with Dante Myers, the banged-up wide receiver core of the Cincinnati Bengals
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Asikki, seeing more opportunity, last week he runs around on 58.6% of the dropbacks.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_00]: That is a season high for Asikki, and if both Higgins and Chase miss the game in week five, I think that we can just see Asikki playing as the full-time slot receiver.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: for the bangles, it'll be him and Dante Myers just running a ton of routes.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: And luckily, even if that's not how things play out, even if he is still running 60% of the routes, 55% of the routes, this is a spot where Gassicki can be productive in a situation against a really weak dolphin's defense and in a spot where he will likely be running routes against pretty limited.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: target competition.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: But more so, the excitement is driven by the matchup against the dolphins.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: They have allowed at least 13.9 PPR points to a tight end in each of their last three games.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: We saw TJ Hawkinson just of this rate.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: Then last week goes for 13 receptions and 119 yards.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_00]: He would have had a 30 point day if he did not voluntarily go down at the one yard line at the end of the game to run out the clock or the Vikings offense.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a really strong matchup.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: could expect to see Gassicki in a pretty favorable role in this game.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that Gassicki all together is one of the priority Titan streamers on the week.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: To close things out, we'll talk about two Titans who I think have pretty straightforward outlooks.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: I was talking about TJ Hawkins in earlier.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: He explodes for 24.9 points against the Miami Dolphins.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the reason for that explosion is pretty straightforward.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: First and foremost, it seems readily apparent that the Dolphins cannot contain Titans.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: And the Vikings were without Justin Jefferson in this game who is quite obviously the alpha in the of the offense and one of the premier target earners in the NFL even though Hawkinson popped off for nearly 25 points in this one I don't think that that should change are all around perspective of who TJ Hawkinson is as a player.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean dating back to the beginning of the 2025 season.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's average 4.8 targets per game
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: an 8.4 PPR points per game in spots where his outlook is very favorable, whether it be a strong matchup, or games where Justin Jefferson is sideline.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a streamer, but he's nothing really more than that.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really pivoting to heavily on how I view TJ Hawkinson in his entirety moving forward.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a really a similar spot with Tyler Higby.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: In week four, he did literally exactly what we all thought he was going to do with Colby Parkinson and Terrence Ferguson's sideline.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: He runs a ton of routes.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: He posts a 72.2% route rate on the Rams dropbacks.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: But he isn't heavily involved in the passing game, given the return of Pukana Kua.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: He draws six targets.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: Good for an 11.8% target share.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: If Parkinson
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: is to miss another game in week five.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's once again, the exact same outlook.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get a ton of routes, but no guarantee that he is going to amass a meaningful number of targets considering that they have nuclear.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_00]: They have Devontae Adams.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: They have Kyron Williams who has been really, really involved in the passing game to this point in the year still.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: I do think that he is a strong streaming option in week five, especially if Parkinson is out because.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_00]: Much of the bet on Tyler Higby as a streaming tight end is that you'll see enough targets to like have some level of a floor that's what we see and we find six targets turns it into five receptions for 67 yards 11.7 fantasy points.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: That's a really strong for the tight end position but much of the upside portion of the bet is just hoping that this ram's offense is good enough that they'll have a ton of red zone opportunities and Higby earns a touchdown Halls 1 in.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: in the end zone.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the perfect opportunity to do it.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: They take on the Buffalo bills.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: The game total is set at 54 and a half points at the moment.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're playing that touchdown lottery, just hoping you're streaming tight end falls in the end zone, there aren't much better games than this one.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, to wrap things up here, we will quickly talk about some drops.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: Generium price, I think if you're in a shallow league or you find yourself in a roster crunch and you need to preserve your IAR slot, I think you could drop him.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: It was already a really rough start for a Generium price.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: Through the first few weeks of the year, he deals with fumbling issues that results in this being a really nasty split.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: And by the time he is back,
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: I expect this to be a nasty split once again.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: Even though price has looked good in some spots, we've got a manual Wilson in the fold.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: We've got Zack Sharbernai.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: Poise to make his return.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Once you're there in price is back in the mix, I don't think that the role is gonna be strong enough to be fantasy viable.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: You could see him down the stretch, potentially seizing this backfield.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: if he cleans up those fumbles and continues to look good when he's given opportunities, but if you find yourself needing to make a cut, I think that jadarian price is a fine one in deep leagues.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_00]: Tank figs the same story.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was a strong handcuff.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_00]: It looked like he was going to realize that value as a handcuff, but he faces an injury of his own.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: He will be out for a month and a half to two months with that core muscle surgery.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you could drop him as well.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_00]: Jacore Croskey merit, nothing has been going well for him to this point in the year, they just refuse to insert this guy into a meaningful role, and that's arguably the correct decision because it has been a really rough sledding for JCM to this point.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: None of the advanced numbers look good, you see it here, just nine attempts for 15 yards.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_00]: That basically tells you the full story.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_00]: I would be willing to see how things play out for a little bit longer, see what the quality of the offense looks like when Jayden Daniels makes his return in most leagues, but if you are playing in a 10-person league with a shallow bench, obviously if you're in an 8-person league, he is very much droppable.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_00]: Marsha on Lloyd, we talked about last week.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he should be rostered.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_00]: The role just isn't there and the state of the Packers rushing attack.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think
- 44:23[SPEAKER_00]: even though he saw his role improve in week four.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: You see the five targets here, 55% on the snaps.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_00]: That was a pretty big shift from what we've seen.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: Still, even what this Russian game has looked like, I don't think that it's worthwhile to hold on to Martian Lloyd anymore.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: Look at some of these other running max.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_00]: I think that most of these guys should still be held onto.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_00]: Emmett Johnson, Katelyn Black.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: All of these like high-end handcuffs.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you are in a spot where you can preserve them on your roster, I think that these guys are definitely worth then stashes.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that you should definitely be holding onto them.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they're worth while to drop because if the starter goes down, they're well, so incredibly valuable.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: Moving over to the wide receiver list here, I think that Quentin Johnston is very much dropable.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_00]: If you're in a roster crunch,
- 45:11[SPEAKER_00]: He has been pretty terrible this year.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's really no way around it has not scored more than 7 PPR points in a game.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: There have been some drops.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_00]: The all-around usage has not been particularly encouraging, clearly out targeted by Trey Harris last week as well.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty messy.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, between the two, I think that both Harris and Johnston are nothing more than bench stashes.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think that I would honestly prefer Tre Harris at this point.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's pretty tough considering where we drafted the two.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_00]: Johnston was going around pick 100 in most leagues.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: Tre Harris went undrapted, but that's kind of just the reality of the situation of how things
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: are unfolding at this point.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_00]: Khalif Raymond, I think that his run, his time has come to an end.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that it is worth it to keep him on rosters anymore.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of all knew that it was gonna be a flash in a pan.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that's exactly how things have played out.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: Makai Lemmin, he was someone that I was excited about.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Personally, I am going to be holding it on to him in spots where I have him with relatively deep benches, like 12 team leagues, where you can hold on
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: There is no doubt about it.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: It has been really, really horrific from a Kylam and really no way can you paint him in a positive light.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: He has that huge opportunity in week four and he does not seize it.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Still, his prospect profile was so, so strong and it has only been for games.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm willing to stick it out a little while longer with my Kylam and I would advise holding onto him if you have the opportunity, if you have the roster space.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Godwin is the last one
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: He has been droppable for multiple weeks now.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like he's pretty much toast in terms of where he's at in his career.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's dealt with some pretty brutal injuries over the last couple of seasons.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's now 30 years old.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_00]: We see declining efficiency and usage across the board.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_00]: He does pop a little bit here in week four with seven targets.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_00]: But he is quite clearly on the decline.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: And now he is going to have to deal with the Jalen Daniels experience for the next month.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think it's worth holding on to him.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: you thought that he might have some level of flex appeal.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_00]: The upside is quite clearly not there, so I do think that it is time to move on from Chris Godwin.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at the tight ends really quickly, I do think Darren Waller is quite obviously droppable.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that there was some reason for optimism in week four, given the fact that it was a really strong matchup.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_00]: And Jalen Coker was out, but now that they're on by, and Coker will almost certainly be back after the buy.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: While it reverts back to what he was before, and that was nothing more than being a touchdown lotto guy.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: You're hoping that he finds his way into the end zone.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys have some level of value in fantasy football.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: But they're not ones that you want to keep on your bench, especially when they're on a bi-week.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_00]: So if the Panthers are in another good matchup once again, and there's a high game total you can reasonably expect Darren Waller to have a good shot to hit the end zone.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: You could pick him up in stream them for that game, but looking ahead in the short term future, he's not worth a roster spot.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: On the other side of things, I would definitely advise people to hold on to Kenyan Sadik.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: He has that huge breakout in week three and then puts up a
- 48:22[SPEAKER_00]: in week four.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: It was frankly just a total disaster for the New York jet's offense in this game.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: They only get off something like 32 plays.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: They cannot sustain a drive.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_00]: No one gets there for fantasy purposes.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: Still, I would hold on to City because we have electric traits.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: What you can do on the field.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: It's just so, so special.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_00]: You do not see it at the tight end position.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I had largely viewed him.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: As a way in C option at the Titan position, I know he had that big game, but I wanted to see more out of Kenny on CD from a usage perspective before viewing him as like a clear cut starter in fantasy lineups and we are still very much in wait and see mode, you could drop him if you picked him up and you're meeting to to make some roster moves, but I would really prefer to hold on to him on my bench.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_00]: All right, guys, that is going to do it for me here today, no doubt about it.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: The week five waiver wire is pretty gross, but there are some interesting options out there, no doubt about it.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: Can find some spot starts, some bench stashes, so hopefully you are able to make some moves that position your team for success in the future set you up for a playoff run.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_00]: Once again, that'll be it for me here today.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_00]: I will see you all next time.
