off, 10.1, I think it's the perfect time.

You know, there's already a lot of hype.

Maybe they could have waited a couple days but I'm not going to

It's a great, great time to kind of see what we have to look

forward to. And obviously it's not really

going to be, we'll get there. But the big news in many ways is

the Mega dungeon and the mega dungeon.

Isn't really going to be competitive with the other

content that we have. It's not going to be part of the

season to Mythic plus pool. And the rating is going to be

mostly done by then at least for the people who raised.

Right? And so I think it's a great time

If I do say so myself. Um, but yes fractures in time is

the title of ten point one point five, and it's do this summer

like you Said we got an updated roadmap, which has expanded,

what we're going to be getting in this new technically a small

patch. When you look at the list of

features compared to like the previous you know 10.05 and 10

.07 this is a lot of stuff coming at us.

It's huge like obviously Mega dungeon we knew about but then a

new Evoque Respec. Which, I mean I made a volcker

and yeah, that's been obviously ruminating and there's been a

lot of talk about that, but I thought at the very earliest

would be 10.2, right? But here we are.

We're getting the new augmentation spec and there's

more stuff too. It's not just those two things.

Yeah. Like, okay, on this show, I went

on a rack and I said, yeah, like there's a chance that we could

get this but not in the middle of the expansion, not without

testing. This is something that maybe

we'll At the earliest 11.0. I'll take the L on that one,

And I know it's out of show notes order, but we got to talk

about this because this is the, this is one of the big things

that people were remembering about.

But really still caught so much of us by surprise.

So, let's talk about the new Evoque, or spec.

What is this? So, it is called augmentation,

and there's been a lot of rumor. I personally was hoping and

maybe even thinking that it would be a tank spec.

It is not a tank Speck in the first, the big 10.1 5 article,

they call it a support specialization in the actual

they had possessed the second. They had one about one article

all by 1.1, 10.1 25. And then one article all about

About augmentation evoker and that is actually a damaged spec.

I know there was some speculation about being at as a

Healer spec or a support spec, but it's actually a damaged spec

and there's so much to unpack here.

There's so much to say about this.

So the brief of it is we're going to dive into this, but the

brief is, Still intellect. It's still like semi range.

It's the same as preservation, Devastation, you're not going

into any other different kind of kinds of gameplay.

You're still going to use Essences or Essence to use your

Big Spenders but they say the kind of tag line is to imbue

allies with the might of the black dragon and bend time and

fate in their favor with bronze Magic.

Yeah, and I think this is something that when you were

looking at the Evoque errs, they were like, oh yeah, the the

preservation, they use, like, red and green to write, and with

like, a little bit of bronze bronze magic to rewind.

And that actually, I'd say, the primary ones are green and

bronze with just a little bit of red.

And then the devastation, that's where you had like blue magic.

And, and Ed Magik and still the entire way.

It's like well well black I guess is like that one defensive

but we're ceplac magic coming in and the black dragonflight this

is it this is where their specialization of empowering an

impact and like imbuing their allies comes into play and

storyline wise. They've been putting this over

for a while where it's like. Yeah the black dragonflight they

were like on the front lines but they were Empowering the other
9:17
flights to make them stronger and everything.

So, I guess they like obviously they had this planned for a

while but they were giving a subtle hints all the way

through. And I think that's really

interesting. Mechanics aside and gameplay,

aside from you know we have a new spec interesting that they

chose to instead of Of launching this class with three specs,

going with two and then story progression wise, having them,
9:47
unlock kind of their legacy and their history, right?

And once again, connecting that black dragonflight magic into

into their beings and you know, conspiracy theory could be like

oh, it wasn't ready for launch and so they're like, let's focus

on two specs. Halfway into the expansion, we

can launch the third but if that's the case, they've done it

incredibly Well story. Wise, like it's so clear that

obviously 10.1 is all about neltharion, it's about the
10:14
Legacy, the dragged through are looking for their family and

their, you know, it seems very much like they are going to be
10:21
tying into the black dragonflight with M birth, all

spending, so much time with with Eben horn, and also civilian and
10:28
rathian. And so it just it just makes

sense. And for the actual gameplay of

it, It is interesting the way they've built it up because they
10:43
do say that. Once again, it's all the core is
10:47
about buffing your allies. So do you mind if we dive into
10:50
that a little bit? Yeah yeah.

Let's go with because like this has more detail than I was
10:55
expecting at a first glance at it.

They actually gave like sample abilities and how it kind of

works. So let's dive right into it.

Go ahead. Yeah, and I mean it's a good
11:06
sign that they already have Have things to show right since it's
11:10
it's coming soon. They're hoping to put it on the
11:12
PTR soon but so the kind of the chorus they showcased for spells
11:17
and then a couple talents. And so the first spell that they
11:21
showcased, like I said they already said that we're going to
11:23
be using Essence just like preservation and Devastation.

But the first spell that they showcased is called Eben.

Might and the first for my first read through, it seems like a
11:33
lot of it is going to be focusing.

Around this spell, it has a 30 Can cool down 1.5 second cast

and what it does is it increases your for nearest allies primary
11:44
stat by a percentage of your own and cause your eruptions to deal
11:49
more damage for 10 seconds. For 10 seconds it Buffs your for
11:54
closest allies. They get some primary stat don't
11:57
know how much but it's a parent percentage of your own.

So the more primers that you have the more primers that they

get in this for 10 seconds. Now the kicker here is that some

of Your other spells extend the duration of these effects.

So that's where these other three come in coming.

Play the first two eruptions and upheaval are kind of just placed

on on basic AOE spells, really eruption is going to replace
12:24
disintegrate. So you're not going to be
12:26
playing with disintegrates it has a two second cast and it
12:29
costs 3 Essence and it causes a violent eruption beneath an
12:35
enemy's feed still in volcanic damage.

Split between them and nearby enemies.

And the more I read about it it's kind of like a mix of
12:45
disintegrate and pyre from from the devastation tree where it
12:50
does do, it has direct damage. It's a targeted spell.

And but it also spreads to have damage between them and nearby

enemies and it's actually even further it is split.

So this, then this spell is not only going to be single.

And it's going to do the same amount of damage single Target
13:11
or AOE but it is going to be split between them.

This spells also increase the duration of your active Eben

might. So once again, this is one of

the spells that increases the duration of that buff spell then

we have upheaval which is a 2 2 .5 s Empower spell and it has a
13:29
40 second cooldown gatherer than power beneath your enemies feet
13:33
and send them hurtling upwards dealing with chronic damage to
13:36
them and nearby. Enemies empowering expands the
13:41
area of effect. So once again this is a targeted
13:44
spell, it's not a AOE that you place somewhere from the origin
13:48
of the Target that you have the longer you.

Empower the spell, the bigger the area is and they have a
13:55
really cool in really cool animation of this.

In the article where it both has like they invoked as his cool.

Like, his hands go wider and wider to show that it's a wider

area. And this cool Spike of Earth

comes out of the ground, and it's really just kind of like a
14:14
fire breath but in a circle instead.

And once again, this also increase the duration of your

active Eben might. So there's two AOE spells, but

then this one, the last one is, is very interesting and that's
14:27
breath of eons. It has a 1.5 minute cooldown and
14:31
it replaces deep breath. So, deep breath is the one where
14:34
you go flying across the area and you just breathe, breathe
14:39
fire on them. That's the kind of anymore.

You're going to do the exact same things.

Things you're going to be flying to a Target location.

But instead of doing direct damage, all the enemies, they
14:48
get caught in, it will get something they called temporal
14:51
wounds for Ten seconds to get a debuff.

And this debuff will accumulate a portion of damage dealt by
14:58
your allies. And then it will critically

strike those enemies for that amount.

The end of the duration, this also increases duration of your

active effort might effects, but so this one is really you're

going to be breathing over enemies.

And then you want your other allies to burst?

You want them to be as strong as possible you want to use this,

when they're in their cool down window.

When there's blood lust up and then as long as it live for 10

seconds. If you don't live for 10

seconds, it's a wasted spell. But after 10 seconds, all the

damage that they've done, you don't know how much But a

portion of it is then going to go into those enemies.

And so all these three spells are both kind of usable in AOE

and single Target, just like most of the devistation, but I

feel like it's even more. It's rounding out the speck very

well and they all build towards extending Eben, might we don't
15:52
know how much these spells increase the duration, but I

would wager 12 seconds, maybe, and so With the the combination

of the eruption which is the essence cast and the upheaval,

which is the the empowering cast, I would wager that you

could get between 15 and 20 seconds of Eben, might maybe

really good players and during heroism, you might be able to
16:15
get 2025, I don't know. And then eventually it's only a

30 second cooldown on Eben might so you want to weave that as

much as possible to get the longest update up time possible

for your allies to get that. Mary stat bonus.

Yeah, this definitely is where they are focusing on that, buff

that augmentation. If the Ebon might is the core of

it. It's like you said, the core of

the game play is going to be making sure you have as much

uptime as possible because you're giving primary stats,

that is a very strong buff to play around with.

And I could see because it's there so many implications in

this, because it's a portion of The augmentation of volkers

stats there could be raid leaders that are like okay let's

dump all the gear on the augmentation of ochre and then

that will Cascade to other players.

That's a weird possibility that I that means that like yeah we

gear up the DPS first but the augmentation of ochre first then
17:21
we go and gear up the healers and then the tanks get last and
17:25
it's like, wow. Okay.

There's the other part of it. Where you can write.

This is a very thinking man's sort of spec.

Not only because you're, you know, trying to keep the up time

and we don't know if you can maintain 100% uptime, but there

is something where it's like, okay, if you drop that buff,

it's not only your damage of suffering.

It's like for other people. This looks to be like windfury

totem where you're going to build your raid, composition to

put the for people who can most Fit into that particular

particular point. This could be something where

you change your rate comp based on the fight where it's like, oh

man, this is healer heavy. But you know what?

Instead of grabbing another healer will put the augmentation
18:14
of ochre in the Healer group and that'll boost all their

intellectual. Their heels will be that much
18:18
more effective. This is like, that is there's a
18:20
lot of weary ways that this could really make people think
18:25
about where they're putting these augmentation of ochres.

The other part that I thought was really cool with the

abilities that you were putting forward, is that?

Yes, two of them are AOE sort of abilities.

I'm not sure how smart they are. If they ignore CC and stuff, are

you going to bring an Evoque augmentation of okra here?

And say, listen, man, I know you want to like increase the Buffs

but we really can't have you breaking the Sheep every time.

Real quick, don't don't do the auto in power.

Our, but a lot of these moves, also replace other moves and if

they work in similar fashions in that in that tool tip or rather

To we know that disintegrate is something that our current DPS

of ochres of Devastation. They really use tremendously,

making sure that when they get those Essence first that they

Can like throw throw those out. As quickly as possible.

There was a weird munching thing that was happening in the first

season where people were being very careful about that.

And Are we going to see similar focus on just using eruptions in

that way? I think this is going to be very

seeing how this plays out on the PTR but I have to ask you If you

are looking at this breath of eons, are you not only thinking

like, okay, this is the damage 10 seconds after it and I got to

make sure that this gets applied right ahead of the bus window.

So it's like, okay, we're going to wait for this ability and

then we're gonna hit less than you gotta be like, okay, I got

to be landing when they hit lust but also you have to be like,

okay, I can only fly this far because I want to make sure that

like I land in time to start getting your own damage in or I

need to fly further or like it's just, there's so many weird

things because it's not just that time that window of time,

it's the area that you cover. Its the damage that goes goes

through, there's so much to this and the fact that it creates

that it does like that guarantee Critical Strike is that meaning

that Devastation of ogres are going to go with one set of

stats, but these augmentation of ochres which Our DPS are going

to now. Say, I don't want to touch crit

to save my life. Yeah, I feel like because in

many ways, obviously Devastation of okra already works with

around a similar kind of game. Play with a dragon rage where

Empower spells increase the duration of dragon rage and Ebon

might in some ways are similar except it's much smaller cool

down and I think, I think I think you're right.

I don't think just off this. It seems like Jesus is going to

be the way to go to get as money eruptions as many upheavals out

as possible again, this is a very bare-bones Devastation,

isn't a super comp, like it is complex in its in its details of

how to extend regular just long as possible but it doesn't have

a lot of spells. So in many ways, I don't think

we're going to see a ton. I'm more abilities, being added

to this. We're obviously still going to

be having and living flame and so I kind of liken this in many

ways to Shadow priest. I've been a shadow priest made

for a long time and dragon rage in some ways are the same that,

you know, if you, when you pop your cooldown Void for Dragon

rage, a band, might you want to use your other spells to extend

the duration in? It's not so much a part of the

core rotation for shadow, priests with Voight eruption

anymore. It's still there, but in

especially in, in BFA, in shadowlands, you wanted to get

as much uptime as possible from You're from your voidform from

that void eruption to get as much damage as possible and you

were kind of useless outside of that window.

And I wonder how much of the the augmentation of ochre is going

to kind of land in the same spot.

How much can you actually do outside of a band?

Might thankfully it's only a 30 second cooldown and so you'll be

able to have it up a lot of the time.

But how how bad is it going to feel if you can't get that?

That buff out when your team needs to burst down that that

that mob that spawns or just take down that Shield.

If you still have 10 seconds or 5 seconds on your web and might

and you can't quite bring as much damage as another DPS would

in that time. Is that going to really harm

nuanced that could be played with and could be fun. but I do

think that, yeah, it's going to have a bit of a I most of my

time right now, it's been spending keys in Mythic plus and

so I'm viewing out of that out of that Viewpoint as well.

And for our allies, obviously means the rest of the group, but

in rating, it's the four nearest allies.

And so, are you going to have to worry a lot more about your

positioning to increase your Forest, near our nearest allies,

primary stats, or they also alluded to earlier that many of

these these Buffs. So, for example, the The Ebon

might have smart or proximity-based automatic

targeting, but it also say you will still be able to Target

specific party members. If you decide, you're there is

plenty of freedom to bolster your allies.

As you see fit, don't know what that means.

Actually instead of proximity-based, I want to use

party-based, That's something we don't know, but it'll be

interesting to see how people play with it.

different set of of concerns because then it becomes like,

over there and then augment them and those Guys have to make sure

going to be that guy who wants the parts.

You don't try and sneak into the group you might get out of here.

Like, what if you have like can you get several Eben might Buffs

And if you can, can you also then get pi and just be a

Obviously right now you can't benefit from to win Furies, so

maybe they're going to kind of make that exclusive and also

hopefully smart targeting. So he doesn't overwrite other

Yet that that would be best because I can already think

about fights like now Therian in the raid where particular

players are, the only players that can damage the particular

ads. And so you want to buff those

guys but are you going to then have like you know three augment

You there you're getting buffed and let's say it's a it's a

death knight and they get pi and then that one death might just

runs through and destroyed everything.

There could be some very strange strategies that go around this

but you're right to make that like that allegory to power

the people behind Warcraft logs, where they saw this augmentation

of ochre and they just wanted to cry because it's like, there's

going to be obviously, those people who cheese it.

There's going to be weird strategies that come from this.

And, yeah, I guess, considering this, like, a Bard class.

Where do you, where do you attribute that damage?

Like, you do the breath of eons. Everybody's like feeding into it

and then there's this big hit. Is that all you're damaged or is

that a Associated to everybody who contributed to it?

Exactly. Because technically like you did

the spell but they did the damage and they do have a brief

blurb at the end of that article where they say, we're still

working on some aspects of this new paradigm.

Like, introducing some new combat log hooks, so that

add-ons and Community, websites can effectively measure your

performance for example. So once again do I know that's

going to look like and I can imagine, it's still going to be

a headache to actually weed out who did what, and how much you

actually added to with a fight. But it's good that they're at

least aware of it and doing something about it.

utility that in ways is somewhat unique.

And so you've got to passive, Dragon attunements, you Choose

quickly you can switch because in Mythic Plus, the black

dragonflight increases your maximum HP great.

While you're in combat the bronze dragon flight one
