Speaker 1: back to the episode.

Speaker 2: Welcome to Revealing Wholeness podcast dedicated to revealing the profound
• 0:26
Speaker 2: connections between body, mind, and spirit, where we believe that
• 0:29
Speaker 2: true wellness arises from addressing the root causes of our
• 0:32
Speaker 2: health challenges, not just masking the symptoms. Here we dive
• 0:35
Speaker 2: deep into how holistic approaches such as advanced chiropractic care,
• 0:39
Speaker 2: personalized nutrition, and natural healing practices can transform your life.
• 0:44
Speaker 2: Now Here is doctor Troy.
• 0:53
Speaker 3: Hello and welcome. I'm doctor Troy. This is a complex
• 0:58
Speaker 3: subject that we're going to try to break down make
• 1:00
Speaker 3: it at least as easily understandable as we can for
• 1:04
Speaker 3: those women that are struggling with these types of issues.
• 1:08
Speaker 3: And again, when someone talks about painful intercourse, it is
• 1:13
Speaker 3: a situation that is certainly not enjoyable at all. And ultimately,
• 1:21
Speaker 3: as a woman ages, if she does not produce the
• 1:24
Speaker 3: estrogen that she should or could. Then those tissues along
• 1:29
Speaker 3: the vaginal canal do not stay moist and they don't
• 1:32
Speaker 3: stay healthy, and they begin to dry out. And that's
• 1:35
Speaker 3: some where the dryness the itchiness. Because of those tissues
• 1:40
Speaker 3: becoming dry, they crack, they tend to break, they tend
• 1:44
Speaker 3: to allow infection, and now we have itchiness because we
• 1:47
Speaker 3: have a constant immune mounted offensive going on in the
• 1:53
Speaker 3: area to try and heal, and that itchiness is kind
• 1:56
Speaker 3: of like scar tissue, kind of like the body trying
• 1:59
Speaker 3: to heal, but it is unable to do so. Now,
• 2:01
Speaker 3: while there are things that a woman can do, like
• 2:06
Speaker 3: what we call hydration cubes, if that's something you're not
• 2:10
Speaker 3: familiar with. They put a small amount of estrogen into
• 2:15
Speaker 3: a medium or a little hydration cube of coconut oil,
• 2:23
Speaker 3: and you buy them and if you don't keep them
• 2:27
Speaker 3: in the freezer, by the way, you won't be able
• 2:30
Speaker 3: to insert them. And so women will use these hydration
• 2:34
Speaker 3: cubes and they'll lay down at night at bedtime and
• 2:37
Speaker 3: they'll insert a cube and they'll go to sleep because
• 2:40
Speaker 3: they're trying to deliver that small amount of phytoestrogen or
• 2:44
Speaker 3: plant based estrogens to those tissues directly to try to
• 2:48
Speaker 3: help those tissues stay hydrated and not dry out and
• 2:52
Speaker 3: not become diseased, if you will. And so while that
• 2:57
Speaker 3: is a possibility of one treatment, it certainly isn't a fix.
• 3:02
Speaker 3: So what is supposed to happen as a woman ages
• 3:07
Speaker 3: and the ovaries shut down production of the vast majority
• 3:12
Speaker 3: of their estrogen and progesterone, The adrenal glands are supposed
• 3:17
Speaker 3: to take over and produce progesterone so that a woman
• 3:22
Speaker 3: can stay healthy and vibrant and live a great life,
• 3:27
Speaker 3: if you will. And that progesterone that the adrenal glands
• 3:31
Speaker 3: that sit on top of our kidneys, that the progesterone
• 3:35
Speaker 3: that they produce primes estrogen receptors and can even make
• 3:42
Speaker 3: new or more estrogen receptors, very slowly, but they can.
• 3:47
Speaker 3: And in that priming, now, what little estrogen that you
• 3:51
Speaker 3: do still produce, keeps those tissues relatively moist and healthy.
• 3:57
Speaker 3: That goes along with having a good diet, that you
• 4:00
Speaker 3: have plenty of minerals and good fats to keep all
• 4:04
Speaker 3: the tissues of your body healthy. Therein lies the fix.
• 4:08
Speaker 3: And many women out there might be thinking, I am
• 4:11
Speaker 3: not willing to eat a great diet. Maybe it's not
• 4:16
Speaker 3: accessible to you. Maybe you think it's going to be
• 4:18
Speaker 3: too expensive, maybe your habits are too deeply ingrained, and
• 4:21
Speaker 3: you're like, I'll I'll just go with the hydration cubes,
• 4:24
Speaker 3: and you can do that. And I tell women, please
• 4:28
Speaker 3: go with the lowest amount of hydration cubes that you can,
• 4:34
  Speaker 3: meaning like, let's say that I believe they're roughly a
• 4:37
Speaker 3: half inch by half inch small cube, and you keep
• 4:41
Speaker 3: them in the freezer, and when you're ready for bed,
• 4:44
Speaker 3: you go down to the freezer, you cut off your
• 4:46
Speaker 3: little tab, you take it upstairs, and you lay down
• 4:49
Speaker 3: and you insert it. Because the moment it touches your
• 4:51
Speaker 3: warm fingers, coconut oil starts melting at seventy seven degrees
• 4:56
Speaker 3: and so it literally becomes liquefied and you're like trying
• 5:00
Speaker 3: to insert nothing at that point, and so you want
• 5:03
Speaker 3: to be able to insert it and have that liquid
• 5:06
Speaker 3: or that coconut oil and all those estrogens go to
• 5:08
Speaker 3: those tissues. So I hope that kind of gives you
• 5:10
Speaker 3: at least a little idea of how to at least
• 5:12
Speaker 3: do it. But let's say that you don't need a
• 5:15
Speaker 3: whole hydration cube. Maybe you only need a quarter, Maybe
• 5:18
Speaker 3: you only need a half. Now, how will you know?
• 5:20
Speaker 3: If you start doing it, You're like, hey, I think
• 5:23
Speaker 3: I want to order those. Fine, you can look up
• 5:25
Speaker 3: hydration cubes or for vaginal insert and you'll find companies
• 5:29
Speaker 3: that do produce them. But you may start with, Hey,
• 5:31
Speaker 3: I'm gonna start with a quarter of one. I'm just
• 5:32
Speaker 3: gonna kind of take a knife and just cut that
• 5:35
Speaker 3: coconut oil into smaller chunks and freeze it and just
• 5:39
Speaker 3: insert and see if that helps. And I would only
• 5:42
Speaker 3: do it obviously at bedtime, once a day, and just
• 5:44
Speaker 3: see over a couple of weeks, how are things going. Hey,
• 5:47
Speaker 3: it seems to be improving. Great, Maybe your problem isn't
• 5:52
Speaker 3: so bad. And so you find that, hey, maybe every
• 5:56
Speaker 3: other night is just plenty. Because I'm early on in
• 5:59
Speaker 3: the situation interested in changing my diet. I'm interested in
• 6:02
Speaker 3: getting better health so that all the tissues of my
• 6:05
Speaker 3: body are better. Now, if we have a woman, and
• 6:09
Speaker 3: again this is for women that are menopausal. If you're
• 6:13
Speaker 3: not at menopausal age and you're having vaginal pain or
• 6:16
Speaker 3: intercourse pain and dryness, we actually have a situation now
• 6:21
Speaker 3: going on that's more candida related Candida is a type
• 6:25
Speaker 3: of yeast, and it's what we call a weak pathogen,
• 6:27
Speaker 3: if that doesn't make much sense. A pathogen is something
• 6:30
Speaker 3: that the body sees as foreign and damaging and attacks
• 6:32
Speaker 3: it immediately. And when I say weak, I mean like
• 6:36
Speaker 3: not strong at all. Our body has no problem fighting
• 6:39
Speaker 3: and getting rid of candida. But if the environment of
• 6:44
Speaker 3: our body is just right, we will actually call those
• 6:48
Speaker 3: candida into the body and give them, if you will,
• 6:54
Speaker 3: safe haven because they're actually protecting you from other worse things.
• 6:59
Speaker 3: So to look at candida as the enemy and all
• 7:02
Speaker 3: be all is not a wise state or perception or
• 7:06
Speaker 3: point of view. We want to at least look at
• 7:09
Speaker 3: and say, okay, so I've got candida going on, I've
• 7:12
Speaker 3: got to figure out why my body is actually harboring
• 7:15
Speaker 3: these things. And oftentimes it is heavy metals and it's
• 7:18
Speaker 3: other toxicity that the candida actually helping your body with.
• 7:22
Speaker 3: Even though the candy to come with their own issues
• 7:26
Speaker 3: that they're going to affect the body, they are actually
• 7:29
Speaker 3: helpful in the interim. And so the goal is then
• 7:32
Speaker 3: to detox, to get the body healthy, to get the
• 7:35
Speaker 3: gut healthy, to change over the gut bacteria, which then
• 7:37
Speaker 3: changes over the vaginal bacteria changes the skin, It just
• 7:42
Speaker 3: goes downstream from there. Now, could you still have hormonal imbalances, Absolutely,
• 7:49
Speaker 3: and so it is wise to work on liver. It
• 7:52
Speaker 3: is wise to work on your glands. And if you
• 7:54
Speaker 3: listen to some of these series that I've been doing
• 7:57
Speaker 3: on female hormones, you're going to get a good idea
• 7:59
Speaker 3: of how to do that. But picking up your diet
• 8:03
Speaker 3: and figuring out how to get much better fats in,
• 8:06
Speaker 3: much better nutrient density in and begin to start supporting
• 8:09
Speaker 3: liver cleaning and bowel digestion and elimination is going to
• 8:14
Speaker 3: be vital as well as destressing your brain overall. And
• 8:20
Speaker 3: so if you find everything stressful, then you've got to
• 8:23
Speaker 3: start getting a different, what like playbook, you know, something
• 8:28
Speaker 3: that is going to help you look at the world
• 8:31
Speaker 3: in general as less stressful. And that comes with your foundation.
• 8:35
Speaker 3: And so that's something that if you want to switch
• 8:37
Speaker 3: gears and go listen to some of my podcasts on
• 8:39
Speaker 3: Words of Radiance, you'll begin to start understanding what your
• 8:42
Speaker 3: foundation is and what your beliefs are, and how stressed
• 8:45
Speaker 3: out you are, and how do you begin to fundamentally
• 8:48
Speaker 3: change how your brain thinks instead of fear based thinking,
• 8:53
Speaker 3: it begins to be a love based thinking process. Now,
• 8:59
Speaker 3: is is everybody out there seem safe? No, you're right,
• 9:03
Speaker 3: there are people out there that are technically very safe,
• 9:06
Speaker 3: but the vast majority of people are good people, believe
• 9:10
Speaker 3: it or not. And so being able to start thinking
• 9:13
Speaker 3: along different terms about how we look at the world
• 9:16
Speaker 3: and how we look at people around us and how
• 9:18
Speaker 3: many people are actually there to help us and be
• 9:21
Speaker 3: loving on us and be generous and be supportive and
• 9:25
Speaker 3: want our very best is more than we think. And
• 9:28
Speaker 3: so that's just a touch on, at least stress wise
• 9:31
Speaker 3: of where we're going there, because if you continue to
• 9:34
Speaker 3: be completely stressed out, you're going to look at the
• 9:38
Speaker 3: world as constantly fearful and that actually changes everything in
• 9:41
Speaker 3: the human body, literally everything. So with that in mind,
• 9:46
Speaker 3: those are the two big big things we're going to
• 9:48
Speaker 3: be looking at. Is Number one is how is your
• 9:51
Speaker 3: hormone balance doing? And how is candida overgrowth or those
• 9:57
Speaker 3: type of yeas that are in the body that shouldn't be.
• 10:00
Speaker 3: Those are the biggies. Now would we say, hey, make
• 10:03
Speaker 3: sure you get tons of vitamin A, tons of vitamin
• 10:06
Speaker 3: E and zinc, Well, yeah, those are all great things
• 10:10
Speaker 3: to do for the immune system and your hormonal system,
• 10:13
Speaker 3: But we would also say, hey, really good vitamin C
• 10:16
Speaker 3: from a natural food source for the copper, and of
• 10:19
Speaker 3: course the vitamin E which is selenium, but all the
• 10:22
Speaker 3: trace minerals are incredibly important too, and then the B
• 10:25
Speaker 3: vitamins to actually make energy to actually promote the change
• 10:29
Speaker 3: that needs to happen. And then next is do you
• 10:32
Speaker 3: have a good enough digestive system to process the protein
• 10:36
Speaker 3: you're eating? And are you eating enough proteins that you
• 10:39
Speaker 3: can repair the body and actually watch the systems begin
• 10:42
Speaker 3: to heal. And wouldn't it be nice if you did
• 10:45
Speaker 3: all this and tomorrow you are completely healed and healthy.
• 10:48
Speaker 3: And of course we'd say that's a fantasy, unless you
• 10:52
Speaker 3: find somebody who walks on water, then it's reality. But
• 10:56
Speaker 3: for the vast majority of us that are going to
• 10:58
Speaker 3: go through this process of neutris attrition, changing and betterment
• 11:03
Speaker 3: and working on our on the body, so to speak,
• 11:06
Speaker 3: as well as our spirit. So as we work on
• 11:09
Speaker 3: that body, it isn't a fast process, unfortunately, but it
• 11:12
Speaker 3: can be quicker than we think. So in the short term,
• 11:15
Speaker 3: might be might we be doing some hydration cubes yeah,
• 11:18
Speaker 3: we probably should. Might we be doing something like calcium, Yes,
• 11:24
Speaker 3: we probably should. Might we be doing something like rappolsider vinegar,
• 11:27
Speaker 3: or some type of digestive product like enzymes that will
• 11:31
Speaker 3: at least start helping us digest. Yes, So all these
• 11:35
Speaker 3: things go into this helpful stuff. So vaginal discharge, we're
• 11:40
Speaker 3: going to just lump right in with candida. We've got
• 11:43
Speaker 3: a complete dysbiosis or unhappy bacterious situation going on in
• 11:49
Speaker 3: the gut, and it's now bled over, so to speak,
• 11:53
Speaker 3: into every other part of your body. So how would
• 11:57
Speaker 3: I begin, Oh, well, I'm going to take a probiotic. Well,
• 12:01
Speaker 3: yes you can, but as you've been around a little bit,
• 12:05
Speaker 3: probably listening to my podcasts, I'm not big on probiotics.
• 12:09
Speaker 3: There again, something that you have to continually take if
• 12:13
Speaker 3: you're not going to adjust your diet. But what if
• 12:15
Speaker 3: instead you said, Hey, I'm going to start getting some
• 12:18
Speaker 3: fermented foods in my diet. I would like to figure
• 12:21
Speaker 3: out how to make fresh sauerkraut. I think I'm gonna
• 12:24
Speaker 3: buy kimchi from the store. Hey, I think I'm going
• 12:27
Speaker 3: to start doing kiefer and kombucha and rappel cider vinegar.
• 12:32
Speaker 3: Those would all be awesome things to do, and you'll
• 12:35
Speaker 3: probably find the fastest way to go with something like
• 12:39
Speaker 3: a Kiefer. But keifer won't fix how well you digest.
• 12:44
Speaker 3: Keifer will definitely change the bacterial colonies in your gut,
• 12:47
Speaker 3: which will inevitably change the vaginal colonies. And that's awesome.
• 12:52
Speaker 3: But we still need to work on getting some chloride
• 12:55
Speaker 3: into your diet so that you can start making hydrochloric
• 12:58
Speaker 3: acid in your stomach and begin processing your food to
• 13:03
Speaker 3: its smallest little pieces, meaning digesting it down and breaking
• 13:07
Speaker 3: it down so you can absorb proteins as well as
• 13:10
Speaker 3: all the minerals that you so desperately need to repair
• 13:13
Speaker 3: the body. Now, one of the big things is calcium.
• 13:17
Speaker 3: Calcium lends towards tissue softness hydration. So if we already
• 13:24
Speaker 3: have dry tissues in the vaginal canal, I'm going to
• 13:27
Speaker 3: ask do you have a dry cough? Do you sometimes
• 13:30
Speaker 3: just cough for no reason? Is your skin dry? These
• 13:34
Speaker 3: are all things that women complain about, and they start
• 13:37
Speaker 3: taking things like collagen, which, if you didn't know any better,
• 13:40
Speaker 3: they're adding estrogen to collagen because they know women want
• 13:44
Speaker 3: softer skin, and they know that women are having trouble
• 13:47
Speaker 3: producing estrogen because they're so mineral deficient. So things like
• 13:52
Speaker 3: kelp and alfalfa are excellent. But then you might say, well,
• 13:56
  Speaker 3: I'm not a rabbit. You're correct, you're not a rabbit.
• 14:00
Speaker 3: Kelp and alfalfa are among the highest density foods for
• 14:04
Speaker 3: minerals that are around, and so you'll find pills that
• 14:08
Speaker 3: have that in that and begin to add to your body.
• 14:11
Speaker 3: But in order to process minerals, like I said, you
• 14:13
Speaker 3: have to have a very strong stomach acid. Yes, but
• 14:17
Speaker 3: already have acid reflux. Yes, you're producing the wrong acid.
• 14:20
Speaker 3: By the way, that acid is about a four point
• 14:23
Speaker 3: five maybe a four point oh, it's not getting the
• 14:26
Speaker 3: job done. You're fermenting food rather than digesting it, and
• 14:30
Speaker 3: therefore you are burping it up. I'm talking about hydrochloric
• 14:34
Speaker 3: acid that's a one point five to two point h
• 14:37
Speaker 3: And then your pancreas will release pepsin, which drops down
• 14:40
Speaker 3: the acidity of your gut even lower, like it has
• 14:44
Speaker 3: always been supposed to happening. So what does a medical
• 14:48
Speaker 3: doctor do. Instead, they give you an acid blocker because
• 14:52
Speaker 3: they don't understand. I wish they did, I really really do.
• 14:56
Speaker 3: And it's not to bash them. They just don't know
• 14:58
Speaker 3: what they don't know. There are things I don't know.
• 15:02
  Speaker 3: I'm sure there's lots of things I don't know, but
• 15:04
Speaker 3: these things I see time and time again and my clients,
• 15:09
Speaker 3: and they start to understand very well that when we
• 15:11
Speaker 3: work on digestion, things change. So those will kind of
• 15:17
Speaker 3: give you some ideas of where we're heading with a
• 15:20
Speaker 3: condition like this. We're gonna work on the gut. We
• 15:23
Speaker 3: are then going to be working on your liver a
• 15:25
Speaker 3: little bit, but then we're going to work on your
• 15:27
Speaker 3: immune system because your immune system has to be running
• 15:32
Speaker 3: to get some of these bugs out of you. But
• 15:35
Speaker 3: the detoxification that comes with that kind of infection fighting
• 15:41
Speaker 3: does take some time and take some know how. So
• 15:44
Speaker 3: if you start detoxing and fighting infection and boosting your
• 15:47
Speaker 3: immune system and you feel like crap, you just overwhelmed
• 15:51
Speaker 3: your system that wasn't in a great shape to begin with.
• 15:55
Speaker 3: So if you want to go it alone, you can
• 15:57
Speaker 3: try it. But as you get into a stuck place,
• 16:00
Speaker 3: p please don't keep struggling. Please give somebody like myself
• 16:03
Speaker 3: a call. Go get help, because they're those out there
• 16:07
Speaker 3: that do know what they are doing. And can help
• 16:10
Speaker 3: you and do it in a decent way. So we
• 16:14
Speaker 3: definitely want some fiber going in the gut. We definitely
• 16:16
Speaker 3: want something that's going to supply good colonies of bacteria,
• 16:20
Speaker 3: like Kiefer, like fermented foods. We'll get into the nutrition
• 16:26
Speaker 3: side of immune support, but I love high vitamin A naturally,
• 16:31
Speaker 3: not synthetic garbage that you would get in a store,
• 16:33
Speaker 3: not beta carotene. We like rent and all palmitate, the
• 16:36
Speaker 3: real stuff, And we want vitamin C and it's full complement.
• 16:40
Speaker 3: And we want to support the liver in a way
• 16:42
Speaker 3: that continues to let it detox gently and effectively and consistently,
• 16:47
Speaker 3: and a gut that can help with that detox process
• 16:51
Speaker 3: without resisting it. So there are ways to do all this,
• 16:55
Speaker 3: and it's just time, my friend, and we can help
• 16:58
Speaker 3: you do that. So I hope this was helpful. I
• 17:01
Speaker 3: hope this gave you kind of at least a starter
• 17:04
Speaker 3: in understanding about what you're up against. What we really
• 17:07
Speaker 3: would like to hit home two is that if you
• 17:11
Speaker 3: let these things go, they can end up in things
• 17:15
Speaker 3: like lictin sclerosis, which is complete atrophy of the vaginal canal,
• 17:20
Speaker 3: and it is painful even though you're not having intercourse,
• 17:25
Speaker 3: and it can lead to prolapsed uterus, prolapsed bladder, prolapsed anus.
• 17:33
Speaker 3: I mean, it's not a fun situation to let these
• 17:35
Speaker 3: tissues go south. And the reason that those prolapses happen
• 17:40
Speaker 3: is because protein is not being digested or not consumed
• 17:45
Speaker 3: or both in your body, and therefore you cannot keep
• 17:49
Speaker 3: those ligaments that keep those structures where they're supposed to be.
• 17:53
Speaker 3: Those ligaments cannot maintain strength in order to do that,
