- 4:01Speaker 2: like new bit ideas. Remember that episode that we did,
- 4:07Speaker 2: no not really ding episode where it was just us
- 4:10Speaker 2: and we just talked about new ideas for bits like
- 4:13Speaker 2: baked concepts. I was like, one of my dogs is
- 4:21Speaker 2: cute and one of them is ugly, and there's gotta
- 4:24Speaker 2: be something there. It's tough.
- 4:27Speaker 10: I know it's something something there, all right, one to
- 4:34Speaker 10: check check check test test tests.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Here we are all already welcome back to the Son
- 4:43Speaker 2: of a Boy Dad podcast.
- 4:44Speaker 10: You didn't even do your mic check?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah I did?
- 4:47Speaker 10: Oh I suppose you did.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's April twenty first me are here live from
- 4:52Speaker 2: HQ three. Welcome back to the show.
- 4:56Speaker 10: You go, headphones under your coat?
- 5:01Speaker 2: I do?
- 5:01Speaker 10: Why is that?
- 5:02Speaker 2: I do that all the time? Even I just have
- 5:03Speaker 2: a T shirt on, I'll put it under the T
- 5:05Speaker 2: shirt like you're getting out.
- 5:08Speaker 10: Willy nilly.
- 5:08Speaker 2: That's a lot. It's a lot of wire there.
- 5:11Speaker 10: You know. Another another fix would be what to have
- 5:16Speaker 10: the current technology of earbuds?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Well, I see, I've had three pairs of those and
- 5:21Speaker 2: I've lost all of them.
- 5:22Speaker 10: So you don't think that you deserve to have the
- 5:24Speaker 10: expensive ones anymore?
- 5:25Speaker 2: No, I just don't. I don't feel like having to
- 5:28Speaker 2: go buy new three hundred dollars headphones once a week.
- 5:30Speaker 10: This is exactly my thought process. But now I have
- 5:34Speaker 10: about does really?
- 5:36Speaker 2: I just bought new sunglasses. What kind coastas?
- 5:40Speaker 10: Oh?
- 5:40Speaker 2: Nice?
- 5:40Speaker 10: Those are good for fishing.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That's why I got them.
- 5:43Speaker 10: They have do they do? Are they polarized? Yeah, yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 10: because you got to cut through the water if you're
- 5:49Speaker 10: looking for big browns.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Great for site fishing. Yeah, it's honestly great for what
- 5:52Speaker 2: we were doing in Virginia. Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 10: I figured those guys they were able to spot the
- 5:56Speaker 10: kobea so far away, and I said, why is that?
- 5:59Speaker 10: And then I realize it's because of the sunglassy the sunglasses. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:03Speaker 10: that's it.
- 6:04Speaker 2: It isn't saying how much of a difference it makes. Crazy.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I never believed it. And then I put on bows.
- 6:11Speaker 2: You just have sun clouds. You're familiar with sun clouds. No,
- 6:16Speaker 2: But when you said bows, I was thinking the sounds
- 6:18Speaker 2: the headphones, because we were talking headphones earlier and now
- 6:22Speaker 2: we're talking sunglasses.
- 6:23Speaker 10: Yeah, there you go. We moved again.
- 6:25Speaker 2: We move fast.
- 6:26Speaker 10: The pages yeah, ripped apart.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But uh, sun clouds they make they make like cheap,
- 6:34Speaker 2: not cheap, but they're like not expensive, like we're like
- 6:37Speaker 2: fifty bucks. Yeah, repair and they're great work well cool yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 2: hell yeah, look into them.
- 6:44Speaker 10: I got hit up by a company and they're sending
- 6:46Speaker 10: me some but I it's just gonna just gonna say
- 6:53Speaker 10: their name really quick because I'm excited to have them.
- 6:57Speaker 10: And it's Randolph sunglasses those yeah, Randy's you ever seen them?
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:03Speaker 10: Make up aviators. Yeah, it's polarized. They're all made in
- 7:06Speaker 10: the USA. So they sent me a pair, and I'm
- 7:08Speaker 10: pretty stoked. I think they're going to be there when
- 7:10Speaker 10: I get home.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I think I'm not going to be there when we
- 7:12Speaker 2: get home. We should do We'll send each other photos.
- 7:15Speaker 10: Why is everything a competition with you?
- 7:17Speaker 2: How is that a competition?
- 7:18Speaker 10: I say, I think they're going to be there when
- 7:20Speaker 10: I get home, and you go, I think mine are
- 7:21Speaker 10: going to be there.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And then I said, well, let's send each other photos
- 7:23Speaker 2: when we get home.
- 7:25Speaker 10: So it wasn't so much a competition as it was now.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It's just relating to what you were saying, that we're
- 7:29Speaker 2: both have sunglasses that will be there when we get home.
- 7:31Speaker 10: Yeah, I think I've heard something psychologically or pathologically about
- 7:36Speaker 10: how Oh my god? Before I say that, can I
- 7:39Speaker 10: tell you a funny story?
- 7:40Speaker 2: Of course?
- 7:41Speaker 10: So you don't celebrate Easter right because you're.
- 7:43Speaker 2: A Now I do. I didn't celebrate it this year?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Oh really?
- 7:50Speaker 10: Yeah, that's that's a pretty big I get Christmas, but
- 7:54Speaker 10: Easter as a as a Jewish person seems really well.
- 7:58Speaker 2: We like, I mean, we get together.
- 8:02Speaker 10: To do what celebrate the resurrection of Christ?
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he's risen and we're not going to celebrate. No,
- 8:10Speaker 2: he was one of us. Anytime one of us comes
- 8:13Speaker 2: back to life, we're going to celebrate.
- 8:15Speaker 10: Mm hmm. That all confuses me.
- 8:20Speaker 2: That Jesus was Jewish. Yeah, why why would about it?
- 8:26Speaker 10: Why would Christianity celebrate him as their messiah if he
- 8:32Speaker 10: is Jewish.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Jew Deism was around before Catholicism.
- 8:37Speaker 10: Them's fighting words, but it's not fighting. You came. You
- 8:40Speaker 10: came with your fangs today, broy that the Pope is
- 8:44Speaker 10: dead in my namesake, the man for whom I was named,
- 8:49Speaker 10: Pope Francis.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Pope Francis. I'm trying to remember if it was Louis
- 8:53Speaker 2: or Joe List that has the bit of it. I
- 8:55Speaker 2: think it's Louis about Jesus, him telling his friend that
- 8:58Speaker 2: Jesus was Jewish and he was like, I don't think so,
- 9:01Speaker 2: and he's like, now he was, and he's like, what
- 9:04Speaker 2: do you think? He was wearing the crucifix and he
- 9:05Speaker 2: was like, holy shit, that's me. That's Louie.
- 9:11Speaker 10: I think I've heard that so yeah, really quick. I mean,
- 9:16Speaker 10: let's just cover let's just cover sort of Easter and
- 9:19Speaker 10: what it means to you and your family, because I
- 9:22Speaker 10: get a little confused about this kind of you know,
- 9:25Speaker 10: you're picking and choosing, you're kind of talking to both
- 9:27Speaker 10: sides of your mouth, and it to me, Yeah, I
- 9:32Speaker 10: just it feels like you can't really have it both ways,
- 9:34Speaker 10: and you're choosing to have it all, which you know
- 9:37Speaker 10: that next thing, you know, you're going to be fucking
- 9:40Speaker 10: you know, saying a lot of ockbar on nine to
- 9:42Speaker 10: eleven and saying like this is the great day of.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Our of our of our faith. That's crazy.
- 9:49Speaker 10: Tell me you can't record today because you're too hungry
- 9:52Speaker 10: from Ramadan and using all different manner of Or let's
- 9:58Speaker 10: say that someone attacked us, you and me on the street.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's anti Semitic, and I was like the hate crime.
- 10:04Speaker 10: No, you'd say, I can't retaliate and defend us because
- 10:10Speaker 10: I am a practicing Buddhist and peace is a core
- 10:14Speaker 10: tenet of our faith.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Well, I am a practicing Buddhist, but that's not a religion.
- 10:18Speaker 2: That's spirituality.
- 10:21Speaker 10: Are you sure?
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yes? Positive Hinduism, Well, Hinduism and Buddhism aren't the same thing?
- 10:27Speaker 10: Really? Yeah, boy, I get those confused.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Will you explain to me the difference between those two.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I can't. I don't know them, but I know they're
- 10:35Speaker 2: not the same thing.
- 10:36Speaker 10: Are not all Hindus Buddhist? No, are all Buddhists hinting.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Buddhism is more of like a way of living?
- 10:48Speaker 10: Hm?
- 10:49Speaker 2: Right? Am I wrong on that? I don't even think
- 10:55Speaker 2: Buddhism is considered a religion at all.
- 11:02Speaker 10: Okay, well, listen, we don't pretend to be experts onast.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Buddhism is a religion. Okay, I was wrong, although some
- 11:13Speaker 2: consider it a philosophy as well. That's me. I'm more
- 11:16Speaker 2: on the philosophy side.
- 11:18Speaker 10: I would also go so far as to say you
- 11:21Speaker 10: weren't wrong if you said that.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Now, Buddhism one of the major world religions.
- 11:27Speaker 10: Okay, you're wrong.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, began in India around the sixth century BCE.
- 11:33Speaker 10: Can you tell me a little bit about Hinduism and Buddhism.
- 11:36Speaker 10: Do they go hand in hand? Can one be both?
- 11:38Speaker 2: Let's see, Are Buddhism and Hinduism the same? No?
- 11:46Speaker 10: Are they very different?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Buddhism and Hinduism are not the same, although they share
- 11:51Speaker 2: common origins and some overlapping beliefs and practices. Buddhism originally
- 11:55Speaker 2: is a reform movement within Hinduism, and while they both
- 11:58Speaker 2: share concepts like karma, reincarnation, and spiritual liberation, they differ
- 12:03Speaker 2: significantly in their views on the existence of a supreme God,
- 12:07Speaker 2: the nature of self, and the path of enlightenment.
- 12:10Speaker 10: So that's really interesting. So it sounds like Buddhism is
- 12:12Speaker 10: almost Buddhism isn't to Hinduism, what Protestantism is to Catholicism.
- 12:17Speaker 10: Isn't that fascinating? That's cool, amazing that these reform movements
- 12:23Speaker 10: have spawned such large branches of the parent religion. But
- 12:29Speaker 10: that is interesting, right that that does mean that Buddhism
- 12:32Speaker 10: was once or is sort of fathered by Hinduism.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, got it. Well, yeah, that's why they think it
- 12:44Speaker 2: was a religion.
- 12:45Speaker 10: M Okay, we're talking about your your faith. We're talking
- 12:55Speaker 10: about yeah, and how you you guys got together. So
- 12:58Speaker 10: you make a point to see your family on these.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Sir, h Typically, Yeah, what's.
- 13:03Speaker 10: More important to your family? Easter or Passover?
- 13:09Speaker 2: We never celebrated Passover ever.
- 13:11Speaker 10: Do you do Honakah. No, you don't do any Jewish holidays.
- 13:15Speaker 2: We celebrated Hanakah when I was young.
- 13:18Speaker 10: What made you decide to move on from that?
- 13:20Speaker 2: We didn't. We weren't really into it.
- 13:24Speaker 10: Oh so it's just as a group, how appealing the
- 13:27Speaker 10: holidays are that says makes you say we're done with this.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I'm not a very religious person. I don't expect it
- 13:33Speaker 2: to be you and my family isn't either. I would
- 13:36Speaker 2: say we were, we were. I grew up Catholic, who
- 13:40Speaker 2: was always kind of weird because my dad wasn't Catholic,
- 13:43Speaker 2: and he would go to church with us and he
- 13:45Speaker 2: would just sit there. Yeah, and then we'd go get
- 13:47Speaker 2: communion and he would leave. He'd leave, or he would
- 13:50Speaker 2: go stand in the back and wait for us to
- 13:52Speaker 2: be done.
- 13:52Speaker 10: He wouldn't do the he wouldn't go up and do
- 13:54Speaker 10: the put the hands.
- 13:56Speaker 2: He's gown, man, he's not gonna go up to the
- 13:57Speaker 2: fuck dude, Can I tell you something and give them
- 14:00Speaker 2: the X? One time? One time I went to I
- 14:04Speaker 2: went to a wedding. Yeah that was a Catholic wedding. Yeah.
- 14:07Speaker 10: Have you ever been to one of those?
- 14:09Speaker 5: Uh?
- 14:10Speaker 2: A Catholic mass? Weddings. Oh yes, yes, my cousins, they're long.
- 14:14Speaker 2: This one wasn't too long. It was probably the same
- 14:17Speaker 2: length as a normal mass. They're long and dark dark
- 14:21Speaker 2: hmm ours was pretty positive.
- 14:23Speaker 10: Well, it's all in Latin. They're singing their dirge.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Okay, so no, I have not been to one of
- 14:30Speaker 2: these weddings.
- 14:31Speaker 10: Yeah, a Catholic mass wedding. And you say it's the
- 14:33Speaker 10: same as a regular mass. Well, regular mass is long.
- 14:36Speaker 2: It is. It's like forty five minutes to.
- 14:38Speaker 10: An hour, correct, And so most most wedding ceremonies are
- 14:43Speaker 10: not that long.
- 14:44Speaker 2: How long are they?
- 14:45Speaker 10: Well, we always do an over under of my buddies
- 14:46Speaker 10: and I when we're at weddings together, we always set
- 14:49Speaker 10: a line at how long we think from the start
- 14:53Speaker 10: of the procession, first person to come down the aisle
- 14:55Speaker 10: right to when we're clapping as they walk off.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I was the first person to go down the aisle
- 15:02Speaker 2: at my cousin's wedding. Really second, sort of. First brought
- 15:07Speaker 2: my grandmother down. You brought your grandmother down. I walked
- 15:09Speaker 2: my grandmother down the aisle, And uh.
- 15:12Speaker 10: Did the officient not precede you?
- 15:16Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 15:16Speaker 10: Now that's unusual. Usually I think the officiant goes first.
- 15:22Speaker 2: No, I'm pretty sure it was me and my grandma,
- 15:24Speaker 2: like ninety nine point nine percent sure.
- 15:27Speaker 10: And then you deposited her, deposited her on my back
- 15:29Speaker 10: to my seat. Oh and you went back to your seat,
- 15:31Speaker 10: So you weren't a groomsman. I was not a groomsman now, hm,
- 15:35Speaker 10: that's nice. Yeah, okay, whatever. I don't really know why
- 15:39Speaker 10: we went there about your grandmother and stuff like that, because.
- 15:44Speaker 2: You're telling stories about these weirdly religious weddings that you
- 15:47Speaker 2: go to where they're spinging speaking in Latin tongues.
- 15:50Speaker 10: Yeah, that's a Catholic Mass wedding.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Never I went to a Catholic Mass wedding. There was
- 15:54Speaker 2: no we weren't preaching in Latin. That wasn't.
- 15:57Speaker 10: The one you went to was not a Catholic missing
- 15:59Speaker 10: it was.
- 16:00Speaker 2: It was at a Catholic church in Massachusetts.
- 16:03Speaker 10: Did you have a Was there a priest? Yes, so
- 16:06Speaker 10: that's who the efficiant would have been, right, the priest officiates, the.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Wedding priest was already up there, makes sense.
- 16:11Speaker 10: I can live with that.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Okay, Then who did you think it was going to be?
- 16:14Speaker 2: The pope?
- 16:15Speaker 10: I said, who was the officiant, and you were like,
- 16:18Speaker 10: I don't know, and I said, usually the efficient You
- 16:21Speaker 10: hadn't made it clear to me that the wedding that
- 16:23Speaker 10: had your grandmother where you said, you know, yeah, dropped
- 16:28Speaker 10: her off whatever. I don't know what she did from
- 16:31Speaker 10: that point.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Sat down? How old is she in her eighties?
- 16:37Speaker 10: Okay?
- 16:38Speaker 2: Well, my point being a respectable thing to do. You
- 16:40Speaker 2: wouldn't do that?
- 16:41Speaker 10: No, I think that's fine.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I couldn't help your grandmother down the aisle. I would.
- 16:45Speaker 2: You seem to have a little bit of pushback on
- 16:48Speaker 2: here's my issue. You were waiting for something to pounce on.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Here's my issue with me walking my grandmother down the
- 16:54Speaker 2: aisle at my cousin's wedding. Why did you know?
- 16:57Speaker 10: I didn't know that that was the Catholic wedding. Okay,
- 17:01Speaker 10: I thought that was a different wedding. No, No, that
- 17:02Speaker 10: was the Catholic. So I'm picturing you in Hawaii, no,
- 17:06Speaker 10: going down the aisle with your wedding of the wedding,
- 17:09Speaker 10: dropping your grandmother off. You filing back to your seat,
- 17:12Speaker 10: me saying you're not a groomsman, wondering why would they
- 17:16Speaker 10: have you guys walk down the aisle at all.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I could see the confusion there. Do you
- 17:19Speaker 2: see what I'm saying?
- 17:20Speaker 10: Yeah, but it sounds like all the family came down
- 17:22Speaker 10: the aisle because it's a Catholic mass. You file into
- 17:25Speaker 10: your pews, indoors, right, vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows.
- 17:30Speaker 2: You're describing a church.
- 17:31Speaker 10: Yeah, big one, huge organ.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, nice one too.
- 17:38Speaker 10: Haunting, Yeah, haunting or white young altar boys lighting candles?
- 17:45Speaker 2: No, not really with that. That kind of died out
- 17:49Speaker 2: a little bit. I think the whole altar boy I
- 17:53Speaker 2: wouldn't be surprised if there's significantly less altar boys now
- 17:56Speaker 2: than there were even like fifteen years ago. You think
- 17:59Speaker 2: it's because of that movie Spotlight, Yeah, I don't think
- 18:01Speaker 2: it helped.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because I was like I used to like
- 18:08Speaker 3: read at church and shit, like I'd go up on
- 18:11Speaker 3: stage on Sundays and have to read like something out
- 18:14Speaker 3: of the Bible.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Wow, you were deep in it, eh, I did it
- 18:16Speaker 2: like twice.
- 18:17Speaker 10: I can't believe your family quit after you were.
- 18:20Speaker 2: We saw Spotlight as a family, we went to the
- 18:22Speaker 2: theater at seven pm showing.
- 18:24Speaker 10: And that was it.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, well, I guess we're Jews now and.
- 18:27Speaker 10: Your dad and your dad was like, finally, come on over.
- 18:31Speaker 10: I've been waiting in the back, yeah all this time,
- 18:35Speaker 10: come on over. Yeah, now, not for nothing. Just so
- 18:38Speaker 10: we're clear here, I want to I don't want to
- 18:40Speaker 10: play favorites. I've been to a conservative Jewish wedding just
- 18:45Speaker 10: as boring. Yeah, I'm sure, really boring. Yeah, unbelievably boring.
- 18:49Speaker 10: I'm sure they walk around the couple like three times,
- 18:52Speaker 10: or maybe the woman walks around the husband as if
- 18:55Speaker 10: she's like trying to cast a spell on him.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah. I've never been to one of those. I only
- 19:00Speaker 2: seen it in Goodfellas.
- 19:01Speaker 10: And it's all in a different language. Yeah, you know Hebrew,
- 19:07Speaker 10: and you don't. I don't think you get the vows.
- 19:10Speaker 10: You don't get the vows that are lovely Jessica. From
- 19:15Speaker 10: the moment I met you, I said to myself, one
- 19:18Speaker 10: day we will be here in Temple Beth el Shabbat.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I feel like the entire time I was at my
- 19:25Speaker 2: cousin's wedding, I was so because, like the Catholic Church,
- 19:29Speaker 2: or in general, for any of these weird like ceremonies
- 19:32Speaker 2: that you have to do, like first communion, confirmation, like
- 19:35Speaker 2: all that shit, I feel like ninety percent of it
- 19:38Speaker 2: is just knowing where you're supposed to go next. Yeah,
- 19:40Speaker 2: And the entire time I was at my cousin's wedding,
- 19:42Speaker 2: I was just like, when do I go get my grandmother?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Like that was all I was thinking, to get her
- 19:48Speaker 2: out to leave. I was like, I don't know when
- 19:50Speaker 2: this is gonna end, because I'm gonna have to be
- 19:51Speaker 2: the first person that stands up, because my grandmother is
- 19:54Speaker 2: the first person that walks out.
- 19:56Speaker 10: She's got to go first. Yeah, because she doesn't have
- 19:58Speaker 10: that much time.
- 19:59Speaker 2: No, oh no, no, she does have plenty of time.
- 20:02Speaker 2: But she was, uh, how do you know that? You'd
- 20:05Speaker 2: assume she's healthy. You said she's in her eighties. Do
- 20:09Speaker 2: you know which side which side of her eighties? I
- 20:13Speaker 2: would say, yeah, below eighty five.
- 20:15Speaker 10: Oh, she's in her young eighties. Yeah, yeah, she's in
- 20:21Speaker 10: her early eighties.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't think there is such a thing as
- 20:25Speaker 2: early eighties. I think there is. You're just in a
- 20:28Speaker 2: big difference between the early eighties and late eighties.
- 20:31Speaker 10: No, there's like early twenties.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Late eighties is like a dog. The difference between like
- 20:36Speaker 2: a dog being nine and ten.
- 20:39Speaker 11: Nine.
- 20:40Speaker 2: You're like, look at this little pop ten.
- 20:42Speaker 10: You're like, all right, No, Mathematically, wouldn't it be the
- 20:45Speaker 10: difference between being like twelve and thirteen?
- 20:48Speaker 2: I have no idea. I didn't run the numbers. I
- 20:51Speaker 2: didn't do the math.
- 20:52Speaker 10: Twelve is eighty four, thirteen is ninety one.
- 20:56Speaker 2: In dog years. Yeah, wow, I didn't actually break it
- 20:58Speaker 2: down in dog years.
- 20:59Speaker 10: But then again, and a lot of breeds don't make
- 21:01Speaker 10: it to twelve, which is kind of why I'm so
- 21:05Speaker 10: impressed that your grandmother's skipping down the aisle jumping the
- 21:09Speaker 10: church to help go get Arbi's or something.
- 21:11Speaker 2: That's why I had to help. Now we just we.
- 21:13Speaker 10: You were assigned to her because everyone knew you get
- 21:15Speaker 10: fidgety in those long serum No, not true, said Harry's young.
- 21:21Speaker 10: He's in his early twenties.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I don't get fidgety at those things. I know you. Now,
- 21:26Speaker 2: you can sit still for an hour or through one
- 21:27Speaker 2: of the easily, really easily.
- 21:29Speaker 10: Man, I would go. I went nuts. I just check out,
- 21:32Speaker 10: and I went. We went to a Protestant church. We
- 21:34Speaker 10: went to an Episcopalian church. You could do anything there.
- 21:38Speaker 2: You could make out with a dude, Yeah you can.
- 21:40Speaker 10: They're big on that. They're open very progressive. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:44Speaker 10: a lot of threpples.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Dude.
- 21:46Speaker 10: By the way, quick story. One time, this guy in
- 21:49Speaker 10: our neighborhood his house burned down and I had just
- 21:52Speaker 10: been told about it on the way to church, right,
- 21:56Speaker 10: and so in church that they were doing that thing
- 21:59Speaker 10: where they were offering prayers for people or wishing goodwill
- 22:02Speaker 10: on various members of the community, and they mentioned the
- 22:06Speaker 10: church and.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I went, oh, why.
- 22:11Speaker 10: Because it just I knew about it. I was like nine,
- 22:17Speaker 10: and I couldn't help myself and I just oh, like
- 22:21Speaker 10: I know about that. I remember I met everyone's heads
- 22:25Speaker 10: turned to me, every single person in the church, as
- 22:29Speaker 10: though I lit the match.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Yeah, or it started the dryer, that's right. Was it
- 22:36Speaker 2: a dryer a lint fire? I don't know, think that's
- 22:38Speaker 2: what it is. Ninety percent of the time, really feel
- 22:41Speaker 2: like people's houses. Every time someone's house burns down, it's
- 22:43Speaker 2: like they're always like it was the dryer.
- 22:44Speaker 10: Hmm.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I saw I saw something on Instagram that was extremely concerning,
- 22:48Speaker 2: and it was someone cleaning the lint out of their dryer,
- 22:52Speaker 2: and they were like, why does no one tell us
- 22:54Speaker 2: about this? It's like, I think it's like the first
- 22:57Speaker 2: thing people tell you when you get a dryer.
- 22:58Speaker 10: And that one, that one, and the drawer that has
- 23:02Speaker 10: the water, the water drawer, which one of the most
- 23:05Speaker 10: satisfying things, removing the water, taking the water out and
- 23:09Speaker 10: dump out. Yeah, it's so good. Also, do you ever
- 23:12Speaker 10: think when you do something like that that if the
- 23:14Speaker 10: world ended and you had to go out on a
- 23:17Speaker 10: foraging mission, you would check all the dryers for water
- 23:23Speaker 10: things like that?
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, that smart.
- 23:25Speaker 10: You know you siphoned all the jars of gasoline. What
- 23:28Speaker 10: are you gonna use flint for starting the fire? You've
- 23:31Speaker 10: got plenty of birch bark At that point you figured
- 23:33Speaker 10: out better until you've kept the court, try to start
- 23:36Speaker 10: fire rain previous night's fire warm, which you can blow on.
- 23:41Speaker 10: As the Wabanaki tribe did.
- 23:44Speaker 2: I'm assuming multiple different tribes did that.
- 23:46Speaker 10: I'm gonna go with Wabanaki on this one. Do you
- 23:50Speaker 10: know what there were? Wabanakis and Abenakis?
- 23:52Speaker 2: I did you did? There's all there's like eight hundred
- 23:56Speaker 2: different variations of Naki. Is that right?
- 24:05Speaker 10: We had a big Wabanaki presence in Maine. That's where
- 24:09Speaker 10: they were.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Up in the sticks. They like to keep them right
- 24:12Speaker 2: on the border of Canada.
- 24:13Speaker 10: To honor them, we named a lot of rivers after
- 24:17Speaker 10: their nomenclature. Yeah. I think the Kabba Sea Conti is
- 24:22Speaker 10: after them. The Andrew Scoggin. That might be a different tribe. Yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 10: that's up. That's there. That's New Hampshire though, right, Yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 10: all right, let's stay on point here.
- 24:35Speaker 2: All right, So I'm really sure what the point is.
- 24:37Speaker 10: No, but that's I'm dancing. I'm I'm I'm floating like
- 24:41Speaker 10: a butterfly, sting like a bee. Yeah, you don't know.
- 24:43Speaker 10: You don't see me coming? No I do now you
- 24:46Speaker 10: think you did? And then I got you with that
- 24:48Speaker 10: old grandmother thing.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Nor continue a body shot.
- 24:53Speaker 10: So uh, back to you guys switched from Catholicism to Judaism.
- 24:59Speaker 10: That's a big leap. I've never heard of someone doing that.
- 25:02Speaker 2: We didn't switch. You just said I was kidding when
- 25:05Speaker 2: I said we left Spotlight. We're going to have to
- 25:07Speaker 2: be a little for Jews. Now.
- 25:08Speaker 10: Yeah, but you wasn't being serious. You said your dad
- 25:11Speaker 10: said we're leaving, and you guys went over there.
- 25:14Speaker 2: No, that's not what happened at all. We just stopped.
- 25:17Speaker 2: We I mean, people in my family are still Catholic.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Sounds like it.
- 25:21Speaker 10: I'm sure someone dragging your grandmother down the aisle.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Well, my grandmother is still Catholic. But yeah, I mean
- 25:26Speaker 2: we just stopped. We didn't. We don't really go to
- 25:28Speaker 2: church anymore as much as we used to. And yeah,
- 25:33Speaker 2: we kind of just faded away.
- 25:36Speaker 10: Okay, So you faded away from religion altogether.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I wouldn't say I faded away from religion altogether. I'm
- 25:42Speaker 2: just not really super die hard on one.
- 25:45Speaker 10: Okay. So you're a man of many, many faiths. I
- 25:48Speaker 10: have many beliefs, a polytheist.
- 25:51Speaker 2: I'm a polytheist, okay.
- 25:54Speaker 10: And so as it pertains to what I would consider
- 25:57Speaker 10: to be my most holy day, Easter, you do take
- 26:03Speaker 10: part in that on Easter?
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 10: Now, you said you guys got together.
- 26:07Speaker 2: We get together, but I didn't. I was in New York.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I didn't do anything.
- 26:11Speaker 10: Did your family get together?
- 26:13Speaker 2: They got together?
- 26:13Speaker 10: You all got together in New York.
- 26:15Speaker 2: No, they got together in Massachusetts. I missed Easter.
- 26:17Speaker 10: Did you zoom in or anything?
- 26:19Speaker 2: No. I talked to my mom, that's it.
- 26:21Speaker 10: Yeah, were you on speaker?
- 26:23Speaker 7: No?
- 26:24Speaker 10: Did she pass along your thoughts to the rest of
- 26:27Speaker 10: the family. No, So you have separated from your family's
- 26:32Speaker 10: religion into your own thing.
- 26:35Speaker 2: No, I just I just couldn't go home this weekend.
- 26:38Speaker 10: Doesn't it sound like that? Yeah?
- 26:42Speaker 2: Now, but by but didn't go to church like they
- 26:46Speaker 2: had brunch.
- 26:46Speaker 10: What was it about your family's new religion that you said,
- 26:51Speaker 10: I don't want to take part.
- 26:52Speaker 2: It's not their new religion. They don't have a new religion. Well,
- 26:56Speaker 2: family is not celebrating a new religion.
- 26:59Speaker 10: They're getting together on Easter, so there's still to.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Have fucking eggs and bacon.
- 27:06Speaker 10: I love that. That's a fun way to celebrate Easter.
- 27:10Speaker 10: Most people eat, there's like an Easter brunch. Yeah, I
- 27:13Speaker 10: had lamb. I cooked lamb.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Sounds awful.
- 27:15Speaker 10: It was great.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Sounds tenderloin over smashed potatoes, tenderloin.
- 27:20Speaker 10: And carrots alight. Why you don't like lamb?
- 27:24Speaker 2: Nothing worse than when you'd go downstairs for dinner and
- 27:26Speaker 2: my mom we're having we're having pork tenderloin.
- 27:29Speaker 10: No, no lamb, tenderloin, tender rack of lamb, rack of lamb.
- 27:35Speaker 10: Is that tenderloin rack of lamb like French sort of lollipop? Yeah,
- 27:43Speaker 10: lollipop lamb.
- 27:44Speaker 2: It was great, and you had mashed potatoes with it.
- 27:47Speaker 10: Not mashed potatoes. I took potatoes and I boiled them,
- 27:51Speaker 10: and then I sort of smashed them with a spoon,
- 27:53Speaker 10: sprinkled olive oil, salt, pepper, and then broiled them in
- 27:56Speaker 10: the oven. Nice to finish them and crisp them up
- 27:58Speaker 10: a little broil. And then I I did carrots, which
- 28:01Speaker 10: I've described my carrot recipe before.
- 28:03Speaker 2: The bunnies, well, no for the rabbits.
- 28:09Speaker 10: But this is all why I brought all of this
- 28:11Speaker 10: up before I got very distracted by your famili's completely
- 28:15Speaker 10: complicated religious devotion. I still couldn't make sense of how
- 28:22Speaker 10: diverse your family's interests are. Let alone try to figure
- 28:26Speaker 10: out what you are now subscribing to, because you're not
- 28:30Speaker 10: even taking part in.
- 28:30Speaker 2: What they do. Buddhism mostly, I like that for you,
- 28:33Speaker 2: the art of living, the art of sitting, the art
- 28:36Speaker 2: of living.
- 28:38Speaker 10: Okay, get this though, So my sister, my sister has
- 28:43Speaker 10: a neighbor.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Yeah, where were you this weekend?
- 28:49Speaker 10: I was upstate? Okay, Yeah, my sister has a neighbor
- 28:53Speaker 10: and they were going to do a joint Easter egg
- 28:55Speaker 10: hunt with their neighbors.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:56Speaker 10: Their neighbors have a few kids. Yeah, and the neighbor's parents.
- 29:02Speaker 10: They set out Easter eggs at night for the next day, Yeah,
- 29:05Speaker 10: hid them, And the next morning they woke up and
- 29:09Speaker 10: found that all like forty five Easter eggs, yeah, had
- 29:15Speaker 10: been cracked open, and every single piece of candy in
- 29:18Speaker 10: them had been eaten, and the remains of the eggs
- 29:21Speaker 10: were scattered around the yard.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Damn.
- 29:23Speaker 10: And it was their four year old son, Damn, who
- 29:26Speaker 10: woke up at two in the morning, Yeah, and went
- 29:29Speaker 10: out into the yard under the cover of moonlight and
- 29:33Speaker 10: foraged and found all of the eggs, ate the candy,
- 29:37Speaker 10: and then went back to bed.
- 29:39Speaker 2: That's insane. That's so brutal. Can you imagine? Yeah, that's crazy.
- 29:46Speaker 10: That's a divice. I mean, I used to hunt for
- 29:48Speaker 10: Christmas presents, which, yeah, I did. You probably didn't do
- 29:51Speaker 10: that because you guys were No.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I do have vague memories of being outside at at
- 29:55Speaker 2: like one am on.
- 29:57Speaker 10: Christmas Eve, looking up at the roof wondering can that
- 30:00Speaker 10: hold the weight of eight reindeer?
- 30:04Speaker 2: And I remember going outside and my mom was doing
- 30:06Speaker 2: something in the yard because we had chickens at the time.
- 30:10Speaker 2: I remember going outside and being like, I can't sleep,
- 30:12Speaker 2: and my mom was like, why are you out here?
- 30:15Speaker 2: Like it was so late and I was so young.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I was probably like eight years old, and it was
- 30:21Speaker 2: like I was out in the I was outside looking
- 30:23Speaker 2: for my mom at one in the morning.
- 30:25Speaker 10: Christmas is kind of a battle for parents of young
- 30:27Speaker 10: children because you get them as excited as you can
- 30:30Speaker 10: through the early years, right when they're three and four.
- 30:33Speaker 10: When my niece, when I'm always with my family for Christmas,
- 30:36Speaker 10: We're pretty devoted to one faith, and I'm always with them,
- 30:42Speaker 10: and I hype my niece up on Christmas. I sit
- 30:47Speaker 10: her down and I tell her the true story about
- 30:50Speaker 10: Santa Claus in the most minute detail.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure she apprechases that.
- 30:56Speaker 10: Well, she loves it, n sure, but she's also kind
- 30:59Speaker 10: of like shocked. Yeah, she's shocked because I'm explaining things
- 31:03Speaker 10: and you know, again talking about like why we had
- 31:06Speaker 10: to reinforce the weight of our roof for Santa We
- 31:11Speaker 10: opted for a flat roof so he had an easier landing.
- 31:13Speaker 10: We have lights up there, a landing strip, things like that. Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 10: but I know that all that is going to set
- 31:22Speaker 10: the groundwork for her to be so filled with excitement
- 31:28Speaker 10: when she's six and seven, that it's going to make
- 31:31Speaker 10: it very hard for her parents to make Christmas happen.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that I think that was like the first time
- 31:43Speaker 2: I ever experienced like not being able to sleep.
- 31:45Speaker 10: I lost you there for a second.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I kind of didn't understand what you meant when you
- 31:50Speaker 2: said it was gonna make it hard for Christmas to happen.
- 31:52Speaker 10: Because the parents have to set the presence out during
- 31:56Speaker 10: the night the kids are asleep. But as you said,
- 31:59Speaker 10: you went on the oh, yeah, you go hunting, you
- 32:01Speaker 10: go hunting. Yeah, normally I would hunt before.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Christmas, like with the weeks leading up.
- 32:08Speaker 10: Yeah, looking and hiding places for presents.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Interesting. Yeah, I didn't ever do that, or I guess
- 32:15Speaker 2: I kind of did that a little bit, but I
- 32:17Speaker 2: always kind of was like, I don't even really want
- 32:19Speaker 2: to find anything.
- 32:20Speaker 10: You read that, man, that's very you know, that's very
- 32:23Speaker 10: altruistic of you as a as a young boy, like I.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Would look, but I would hope I didn't find.
- 32:30Speaker 10: Well, that's how it is relationships. When I'm going through girls'.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Phones, Yeah, you don't want to find the texts, but
- 32:37Speaker 2: you're gonna Well I never found the presence. I found.
- 32:41Speaker 2: I found presents once at my grandmother's house.
- 32:46Speaker 10: One time, and they were they were.
- 32:48Speaker 2: All addressed to Sannah. They were all addressed from Sanna,
- 32:51Speaker 2: and I remember I brought him out and I was like,
- 32:53Speaker 2: what the fuck are these what really? Yeah?
- 32:58Speaker 10: This is before Christmas.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Yeah. All they got to do is be like, oh
- 33:02Speaker 2: he came early. Those are for the dogs. And I
- 33:04Speaker 2: was like, oh, of course that makes sense.
- 33:06Speaker 10: That's what they said something that was like six. That's
- 33:08Speaker 10: pretty quick with it, Yeah, pretty quick thinking.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it was nice for the dog.
- 33:12Speaker 10: Do you know if that was your mom or your
- 33:13Speaker 10: dad that said that.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I don't remember. I just remember that was like they go.
- 33:16Speaker 10: Too, that's pretty good. Yeah, yeah, well very I mean
- 33:25Speaker 10: truly fascinating. You said something that we glossed over which
- 33:28Speaker 10: I want to come back to, which is that you
- 33:29Speaker 10: had chickens.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Yes we did.
- 33:32Speaker 10: Wow? What was that like?
- 33:34Speaker 2: I've had chickens like three different times throughout my life.
- 33:37Speaker 10: And then you get rid of them and then you
- 33:38Speaker 10: get more.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Yeah, because they die, they die, all of them, all
- 33:42Speaker 2: of them.
- 33:43Speaker 10: Do they die together?
- 33:45Speaker 2: I don't really know how it works. I guess we've
- 33:47Speaker 2: had chickens. No, I think it was technically three times.
- 33:53Speaker 2: There's two we had chickens when I was when I
- 33:56Speaker 2: was young, when I was in like middle school, and
- 33:59Speaker 2: then we moved. Now we have chickens, and we had
- 34:01Speaker 2: chickens recently. But I want to say they're all dead,
- 34:04Speaker 2: but they get they had they had killed all the time.
- 34:07Speaker 2: But but but how by like by like coyotes and
- 34:12Speaker 2: foxes and hawks, is.
- 34:14Speaker 10: That because you don't have a reinforced coop now?
- 34:17Speaker 2: I don't really know. I think our chickens that we
- 34:19Speaker 2: had now were more They could just go wherever they
- 34:23Speaker 2: walk around. Yeah. And then when we had them when
- 34:25Speaker 2: we were younger, they were in a coop, but they
- 34:29Speaker 2: were like, uh, they were like fighting each other. We
- 34:33Speaker 2: had to like give one of them away cock fighting. Yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 2: they were cock fighting.
- 34:36Speaker 10: And you sent that one to Mexico.
- 34:38Speaker 2: We sent that one to Mexico. Up believe we wrote
- 34:41Speaker 2: tisted it. Yeah, we turned it into a nice tiss.
- 34:46Speaker 2: You cooked it.
- 34:47Speaker 10: Yeah, the fighting one, Yeah, must have been pretty game.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's a muscular, very chewy.
- 34:55Speaker 10: And just to be clear, I'm not using cock in.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Yours, of course, using it in the chicken sense.
- 34:59Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, are all cocks mail chickens.
- 35:06Speaker 2: I'm not sure I can doodle do.
- 35:09Speaker 10: That's right, all right, let's get you back on track here.
- 35:15Speaker 10: I'm losing you here, and I want I don't want
- 35:17Speaker 10: to because I'm I'm having fun. I'm having fun too,
- 35:20Speaker 10: I know, but I'm not giving you what you want,
- 35:24Speaker 10: and I apologize. I like to talk about your life
- 35:26Speaker 10: and I like to learn about you and your family,
- 35:29Speaker 10: because if you guys fascinate me. Yeah, you had chickens.
- 35:33Speaker 10: Did you have any other pets?
- 35:35Speaker 2: We've had bunnies, chickens, dogs.
- 35:39Speaker 10: Did you live on like a big plot of land.
- 35:41Speaker 10: Did you have a lot of land?
- 35:42Speaker 11: Uh?
- 35:43Speaker 2: Not when I was growing up. My parents do now
- 35:45Speaker 2: though they've done well later they have land now they
- 35:48Speaker 2: were they've become landowners.
- 35:51Speaker 10: That is, it usually does take a while, yeah, to
- 35:54Speaker 10: buy buy lots of land and accumulate lots of land.
- 35:58Speaker 10: And so now you know your dogs. Do they roam outside?
- 36:05Speaker 10: Do you guys have the invisible fence?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Yes, we talked about the last episode.
- 36:09Speaker 10: I remember us having to install the invisible fence on
- 36:12Speaker 10: our property.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we did too.
- 36:13Speaker 10: We brought well you had a guy come, Yeah, but
- 36:15Speaker 10: he'd always leave a hole, one small section for whatever reason,
- 36:20Speaker 10: and the dogs would find it. And then they'd run
- 36:22Speaker 10: down the street and eat the neighbors chickens.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Oh, we never had a hole like that. I thought
- 36:27Speaker 2: you mean they would leave a hole in the ground.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Oh and dig under the fence or like where they No,
- 36:31Speaker 2: you said the guy left a hole.
- 36:34Speaker 10: Oh no, right, okay, left a hole.
- 36:36Speaker 2: In the fence and the dogs would find the hole.
- 36:39Speaker 3: They would, and yeah, I'm pretty sure it's like the
- 36:42Speaker 3: way they do it is like, well a, I think
- 36:44Speaker 3: it's they can pretty easily break out of.
- 36:46Speaker 2: It, but like they go near it once and then
- 36:47Speaker 2: they're just like, well, I guess I'm just never going
- 36:49Speaker 2: to cross that point again.
- 36:51Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean training your dog on an electric fence
- 36:54Speaker 10: is sad. Eh, you gotta shock them. Hey, remember how
- 36:59Speaker 10: we used to walk through nothing would happen. All right,
- 37:03Speaker 10: let's do it again. Oh what's that mysterious beep? It
- 37:07Speaker 10: in no way could that be a warning of the
- 37:10Speaker 10: unbelievable eye watering pain you're about to experience around your neck.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Yeah, my sister's dogs have the They just have like
- 37:18Speaker 2: the the callers on all the time. They just keep
- 37:22Speaker 2: them on them like they have like a little handheld shock.
- 37:25Speaker 10: They can shock them.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Well, they don't shock them. They do the sound the stimulation.
- 37:30Speaker 2: It's just a high pitched sound. It's not a They
- 37:33Speaker 2: don't get zapped, right, they can though, they can zat well.
- 37:36Speaker 10: First they first they played the hit the stimulation and
- 37:39Speaker 10: if that doesn't work, then they zap them.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Yeah, but the sound always works.
- 37:44Speaker 10: We bought one of those callers for our dog, yeah,
- 37:48Speaker 10: and we were worried about how intense it was. Yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 10: And so I held it in my hand because it
- 37:56Speaker 10: felt like I felt that I didn't want to do
- 37:58Speaker 10: to the dog anything that I wasn't with to endure myself.
- 38:01Speaker 10: And I told my my wife, what hit it? You
- 38:06Speaker 10: know on the low and instead of hitting the low button,
- 38:09Speaker 10: she hit the panic button, the sort of red alert
- 38:15Speaker 10: you knows, attacking someone, Right, he's biting off the face
- 38:17Speaker 10: of the child. Yeah, basically you.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Know, put him down. But yeah, and what happened? Did
- 38:28Speaker 2: it hurt? Bro?
- 38:30Speaker 10: I felt a shock through my skeleton, I mean, started
- 38:36Speaker 10: my fingers. It went all the way through my I
- 38:38Speaker 10: remember by elbow exploding and it went all the way
- 38:44Speaker 10: up my arm and it felt like I got.
- 38:45Speaker 2: It in my organs. Yeah, you probably did, you know
- 38:48Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 38:48Speaker 10: It felt like the sort of thing where if I
- 38:51Speaker 10: had been in cardiac arrest, this would have brought me back.
- 38:55Speaker 2: It also probably is meant to shock dogs in a
- 38:58Speaker 2: different way than it is humans. I don't know.
- 39:00Speaker 10: Oh, I don't know.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Man, it was magine it hurts more for a human
- 39:05Speaker 2: to bear skin put it on their hands.
- 39:08Speaker 10: I don't think their fur is really stopping much. Maybe
- 39:11Speaker 10: maybe that they have looser skin. Have you ever done
- 39:14Speaker 10: it to a dog? They yelp deeply.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Again, we don't. We don't use the we don't use
- 39:19Speaker 2: the shock button.
- 39:21Speaker 10: Well, what the point? After I felt that shock, we
- 39:24Speaker 10: said we're never gonna.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it makes sense because it was so intense.
- 39:28Speaker 10: Maybe my teeth chatter and knocked my ti together.
- 39:33Speaker 2: They theirs might not actually even have the shock option.
- 39:36Speaker 2: We only put them put them down off. They don't
- 39:39Speaker 2: definitely don't have a panic option.
- 39:42Speaker 10: Red dog is eating neighbors children, child's face.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Yeah, because they got My sister has two Golden Retrievers
- 39:52Speaker 2: and they're big and uh when they when I come home,
- 39:56Speaker 2: my sister and her fiance will come back to my
- 40:01Speaker 2: parents' house to hang out and they'll bring their dogs.
- 40:04Speaker 2: And we have two dogs. Now you got four dogs
- 40:06Speaker 2: running around and most of them don't like each other.
- 40:10Speaker 10: Well, you've got the one that bites all the mail exactly,
- 40:14Speaker 10: and then.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Get along with the dog with their dogs.
- 40:18Speaker 10: There's such a there's a part of me that wants
- 40:21Speaker 10: to visit your uh, non denominational house.
- 40:24Speaker 2: And our living room is very small, so it's just
- 40:27Speaker 2: like there's just constantly dog on you, Like there's there's
- 40:31Speaker 2: a dog within within one foot of you. As you
- 40:35Speaker 2: like it, but you don't like it when there's four
- 40:36Speaker 2: dogs barking simultaneously.
- 40:38Speaker 10: That's where you want and you just just do it
- 40:43Speaker 10: to one and then he lets.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Every Yeah they're buzzing right now. Yeah, fall back, they're not.
- 40:48Speaker 2: They're not fall back. I just got hit.
- 40:51Speaker 10: Yeah, I just got stung. Who's next? Yeah it's not
- 40:56Speaker 10: gonna be me. I already took mine. Yeah, well I
- 41:00Speaker 10: want to. I have this dream of visiting your incredibly
- 41:04Speaker 10: religiously diverse family.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:06Speaker 10: And and I would I would wonder if when I
- 41:10Speaker 10: met the dog that bites.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Stitch, yeah stitch.
- 41:16Speaker 10: Yeah, And I can't tell if I would want to
- 41:22Speaker 10: sort of approach the dog the way crocodile Dundee goes
- 41:26Speaker 10: to animals and let it know I'm a friend. I
- 41:30Speaker 10: come in peace. I understand why you behave the way
- 41:33Speaker 10: that you do, but I just want you to know
- 41:36Speaker 10: I don't judge you for it.
- 41:37Speaker 2: I think that's all bluff though, Like I think that
- 41:41Speaker 2: only works if you actually but you know how, like
- 41:43Speaker 2: you say, they say, you can beat a lot of
- 41:44Speaker 2: detector test if you actually believe what you're saying. Sure,
- 41:47Speaker 2: I think it's like that. I think the animals could
- 41:50Speaker 2: sense it, like if you got a if you got
- 41:51Speaker 2: a grizzly bear coming at you, Like you know that
- 41:54Speaker 2: you ever watched grizzly man, Yeah, of course, you know
- 41:57Speaker 2: how he can kind of like, yeah, he uses his
- 42:01Speaker 2: words and his and his his well, that's ridiculous, his vibes.
- 42:04Speaker 10: I mean he got eaten.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Well after like three years in the woods of Alaska
- 42:10Speaker 2: or way more than three years.
- 42:11Speaker 10: So he did pretty well.
- 42:12Speaker 2: He did pretty well. You beat the odds.
- 42:15Speaker 10: Yeah, but a while, the grizzly always wins. The grizzly
- 42:18Speaker 10: always wins, is the answer.
- 42:19Speaker 2: But again, like he like, you know, fucking the dog whisperer,
- 42:25Speaker 2: Like he's got to believe what he's saying. Yeah, you
- 42:28Speaker 2: can't just walk up to a dog and be like,
- 42:29Speaker 2: I'm You're safe, right, only the sense that he'll be
- 42:34Speaker 2: able to sense here a little on edge. Yes, you've
- 42:36Speaker 2: heard some stories.
- 42:37Speaker 10: Have you seen Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade?
- 42:40Speaker 2: Probably, but I don't remember it when.
- 42:42Speaker 10: He goes to the canyon to the Crescent Moon and
- 42:44Speaker 10: enters Petra.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I never really got into any Indiana Jones tbh.
- 42:50Speaker 10: Okay, well, there's.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Always more of a Rambo guy, got ship men.
- 42:56Speaker 10: You were watching Rambo instead of Indiana Jones. I don't
- 42:59Speaker 10: really put the in the same category.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I would Star Wars.
- 43:06Speaker 10: By the way, there's nothing unmanly about Indiana Jones.
- 43:09Speaker 2: It's for women.
- 43:12Speaker 10: Why did he say that?
- 43:13Speaker 2: Harrison Ford?
- 43:15Speaker 10: Easy there, that's my guy. You don't think Slice the
- 43:18Speaker 10: loan's a heart throb? Now, Yeah, he's got that sort
- 43:22Speaker 10: of demented face. Yeah, not at all, droopy. Well, I
- 43:28Speaker 10: want to visit your house, and I want to befriend
- 43:30Speaker 10: the dog. But I also think that if Stitch bit me,
- 43:36Speaker 10: that would sort of complete the the arc of your friends,
- 43:42Speaker 10: because right now, Nate, Bo, Peters have all been bitten.
- 43:46Speaker 2: I'm the only one who I'm wondering if Peters has
- 43:48Speaker 2: ever been bitten. I don't think he has.
- 43:49Speaker 10: I think he has.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I think it might just be natean Bow.
- 43:53Speaker 10: We should ask him.
- 43:54Speaker 2: I very I remember very vividly when Nate and Bow
- 43:57Speaker 2: both got bit and it was both when my parents
- 44:00Speaker 2: weren't home, and I had to call them and be like, Stitch,
- 44:04Speaker 2: just bid date, and my mom would be like Jesus Christ,
- 44:11Speaker 2: he didn't. He was just like, I think your dog
- 44:13Speaker 2: just bid me.
- 44:13Speaker 10: Oh, he didn't even know.
- 44:14Speaker 2: It was like he Wasnate was skateboarding in our driveway
- 44:18Speaker 2: and my dogs came up and like nibbled his like
- 44:21Speaker 2: God got a piece of his leg. Oh, and he
- 44:24Speaker 2: was like, ah, but it wasn't a bad one, right,
- 44:27Speaker 2: But the BA one was bad. No, the bell one
- 44:29Speaker 2: wasn't bad either. Similar deal, similar deal. There was one
- 44:33Speaker 2: bad one and I wasn't there for it.
- 44:35Speaker 10: Who was that my.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Cousin's boyfriend or husband? Now, so I guess it didn't
- 44:40Speaker 2: really end that much. The Catholic Yeah, oh yeah, I
- 44:45Speaker 2: think he's Catholic.
- 44:46Speaker 10: Well they got married in a Catholic church.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Ah, But people get married in Catholic churches all the time.
- 44:50Speaker 10: But usually that's an agreement between them and God.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's also kind of agreement between you and
- 44:55Speaker 2: your parents.
- 44:56Speaker 10: Wait a second, No, I'm confused. Are we talking about
- 45:00Speaker 10: the same cousin?
- 45:02Speaker 2: Yes, were you? We're not talking about my cousin at all.
- 45:06Speaker 10: Pushed your grandmother in a journey down the aisle, removed
- 45:11Speaker 10: her oxygen masks so that she could say her blessing
- 45:13Speaker 10: to the couple. That that couple. Yes, so it was
- 45:16Speaker 10: the boyfriend at the time. Yeah, and Stitch bit him, Yeah, badly.
- 45:21Speaker 10: I think you where the leg made him bleed?
- 45:25Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 45:26Speaker 10: Then why was it bad?
- 45:31Speaker 2: I wasn't there. I said that.
- 45:34Speaker 10: You just told us it.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Was a bad bite. You know, I'm doing my best here.
- 45:38Speaker 2: He got locked. Well, we've been talking about my dog
- 45:40Speaker 2: for thirty minutes.
- 45:41Speaker 10: We can move on, you know, if you want to
- 45:45Speaker 10: take the reins. Brother, you got anything interesting now?
- 45:47Speaker 2: Not really?
- 45:48Speaker 10: So there you go.
- 45:49Speaker 2: I mean I got I guess I got it. I
- 45:51Speaker 2: got everything. I always got something interesting. Let's hear it.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Now we can still continue the conversation.
- 45:55Speaker 10: No, I'm done, Okay, I did everything I could, and
- 46:00Speaker 10: now you have said.
- 46:01Speaker 2: We got out of the dog stuff, and then we
- 46:03Speaker 2: went back to the dog stuff.
- 46:05Speaker 10: Well, you're talking about chickens and bites, and all.
- 46:08Speaker 2: You were saying you want to come. You were proposing
- 46:10Speaker 2: an idea where you're gonna come tame my dog or.
- 46:13Speaker 10: Have them bite me so that I can have that
- 46:15Speaker 10: and be bite brothers. With my best friends Bo Peters
- 46:18Speaker 10: and Nate.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Yours. You're never gonna be able to meet my dog's.
- 46:22Speaker 10: Jealous of the fact that the three of them have
- 46:24Speaker 10: that in common. They all get together under the full
- 46:27Speaker 10: moon and show their scars.
- 46:29Speaker 2: I don't think, Peter.
- 46:31Speaker 10: I haven't brushed off my skateboard in fucking years.
- 46:34Speaker 2: It was my skateboard, was it, Yeah, that's cool. There's
- 46:38Speaker 2: my lawn board. Oh shit, I had the slide wheels. Yeah, sick.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Not good for riding though, No.
- 46:46Speaker 10: Never, all right, what happened to you? What do you got?
- 46:50Speaker 2: What happened to me? So much? Yeah? What'd you do
- 46:54Speaker 2: this weekend? Oh? This weekend? I actually didn't really do much,
- 46:58Speaker 2: had a pretty easy weekend, but I did.
- 47:00Speaker 12: Uh.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Oh, I'm not going to be in Edmonton this weekend.
- 47:03Speaker 10: Oh my god, Oh my god, for real?
- 47:09Speaker 2: Yeah, holy shit, didn't I tell you that?
- 47:11Speaker 10: Well? I thought you would have fucking sorted it out.
- 47:14Speaker 2: I told I think I told you. I was like,
- 47:15Speaker 2: I talked to Mike, I'm not going to be able
- 47:16Speaker 2: to go to Edmonton.
- 47:18Speaker 10: I forgot about that. Yeah, I thought you were really
- 47:20Speaker 10: trying hard to. I was spending a lot of money.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Oh it's a gone, money's gone. Can't get a refund.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Tried to get the refund. It said as soon as
- 47:28Speaker 2: you download the documents, you no longer are eligible for
- 47:31Speaker 2: a refund.
- 47:34Speaker 10: Oh my god, it's just.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Eight hundred dollars just lit on fire. Wow. You know
- 47:42Speaker 2: what the bummer of it is is that I found
- 47:44Speaker 2: out that you could drive to Canada with a real ID,
- 47:48Speaker 2: which I have. Yeah, Uh, can you? Yes?
- 47:52Speaker 10: I thought there was a special thing you need, like
- 47:54Speaker 10: a there's another certification on your license that you can
- 47:58Speaker 10: opt for at the DMV.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I have it. You did that?
- 48:02Speaker 10: Yeah, they told me don't if you have a passport,
- 48:04Speaker 10: don't even worry about it.
- 48:06Speaker 2: I did it before I had a light like that.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Got it. When I got my license, they were like,
- 48:09Speaker 2: you're gonna need this by twenty twenty five, you may
- 48:10Speaker 2: as well just get it now. Okay, And I got it.
- 48:14Speaker 2: But yeah, so apparently I could drive, but Edmonton's just
- 48:16Speaker 2: sits still too.
- 48:17Speaker 10: Far I told you, so, Why is that a bummer?
- 48:23Speaker 4: To me?
- 48:23Speaker 10: That sounds irrelevant.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Because I drove to Vancouver. Uh huh from that's when
- 48:31Speaker 2: I lost my passport and I didn't even need my passport.
- 48:35Speaker 10: Then where did you leave it on the plane?
- 48:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but it could have just driven noe.
- 48:40Speaker 10: Oh, I see what you're saying.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Now, I flew. I flew into Seattle, drove up to Vancouver,
- 48:49Speaker 2: and then I flew out of Vancouver. But if I
- 48:51Speaker 2: drove back through Seattle, I probably would never would have
- 48:52Speaker 2: lost my passport.
- 48:56Speaker 10: Okay, yeah, I mean I get it. How long was
- 49:00Speaker 10: that drive again back to Seattle?
- 49:01Speaker 2: Only like an hour and a half two hours? So easy,

- 57:08Speaker 10: plant female trees in your backyard. Did you don't you

- 57:16Speaker 2: Can you try rotos? No, you got it, rodos rodos.
- 57:21Speaker 10: People said a bunch of different ideas rots so the
- 57:23Speaker 10: go tos. I was using the thirteers. No I think No, No,
- 57:29Speaker 10: they're bullshit? Are they? They don't have preservatives in them
- 57:33Speaker 10: because they're the single use one you want preservatives. I
- 57:37Speaker 10: need chemicals. Yeah, those always make my eyes sting. I've
- 57:42Speaker 10: been smoking weed and these are gonna make your eyes sting.
- 57:44Speaker 10: Like convince my parents that I'm not high.
- 57:47Speaker 2: You couldn't even imagine. I remember that's how I found
- 57:50Speaker 2: out about roads because when we were in high school,
- 57:52Speaker 2: my friend would smoke weed and put them in, and
- 57:53Speaker 2: I put them in one time because I had I
- 57:55Speaker 2: didn't smoke weed. Really in high.
- 57:56Speaker 10: School, you put your friends smoked weed, but you.
- 58:00Speaker 2: And I had. I have chronic dry eyes syndrome. Chronic
- 58:04Speaker 2: you're talking to you're talking to an ally right now.
- 58:06Speaker 2: I have chronic dry syndrome, chronic dry eye syndrome. Yes,
- 58:08Speaker 2: Austin Jennifer Aniston. You don't remember Jennifer Anison's commercials, No, I.
- 58:12Speaker 10: Remember the chronic syndrome, or as we call it for short,
- 58:16Speaker 10: the chronic.
- 58:17Speaker 2: The chronic now no, no, no, the chronic dry eye syndrome.
- 58:20Speaker 10: The chronic try syndrome, the chronic.
- 58:22Speaker 2: We uh, but my I remember I put them in
- 58:25Speaker 2: and it was like it hurts at first when you
- 58:28Speaker 2: put the rotos in. It's like dropp an icy hot
- 58:30Speaker 2: into your eyes. Yeah, and it burns, But then after
- 58:33Speaker 2: like thirty seconds, it's like it literally feels like you
- 58:35Speaker 2: could just roll your eyes into the back of your head,
- 58:38Speaker 2: Like it feels like it feels like someone put w
- 58:40Speaker 2: D forty on your fucking eyes. Yeah like that. Yeah,
- 58:43Speaker 2: I like that, so try them.
- 58:45Speaker 10: They work, Okay, Rhodos, all right, I'll check that.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Out, because that is a bad feeling to have. The
- 58:52Speaker 2: great I used to get it so bad when I
- 58:54Speaker 2: was younger. That's the point that when I closed my eyes,
- 58:56Speaker 2: it would feel like someone just put thumb tacks right
- 58:58Speaker 2: in my pupils.
- 58:58Speaker 10: Yeah, it's just the it's the tear duct it's right here.
- 59:01Speaker 10: It's this right at the base. Yeah, in the middle
- 59:05Speaker 10: of the eye.
- 59:06Speaker 2: We're gonna have to get some rods on those tear ducks.
- 59:09Speaker 2: I can do that.
- 59:12Speaker 10: Did anything interesting happen to me this weekend?
- 59:16Speaker 2: I didn't really do much ship, but I mean I
- 59:19Speaker 2: I played a lot of ranked black ops, just like
- 59:22Speaker 2: unbelievable sessions this weekend. Really Yeah, I'm talking like ten
- 59:27Speaker 2: game win streaks. Whoa SR just funneling into the account?
- 59:32Speaker 2: What's SR in ranked? The way that ranked play is
- 59:35Speaker 2: played is that you you collect SR, which is like
- 59:38Speaker 2: a virtual type of point currency currency almost Yeah, And
- 59:42Speaker 2: when you win games, you'll gain SR, and when you
- 59:45Speaker 2: lose games, you'll lose that.
- 59:46Speaker 10: That's the same when I played chess.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Exactly, Yeah, it's exactly. It's actually the exact same thing. Cool. Yeah,
- 59:50Speaker 2: I dig that. Yeah.
- 59:52Speaker 10: Do you get more points if you beat a team
- 59:53Speaker 10: that has a lot of yes and they lose more exactly.
- 59:57Speaker 2: Yeah. So like if we're I'm I'm Platinum one bordering
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Platinum two, finally going to break out of the hard
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: stuck platform phase. Yeah, and we like, like last night
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: we beat a team that was all Diamond players, which
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: is higher than Platinum.
- 1:00:09Speaker 10: Do they use the same tier system as Delta sounds
- 1:00:12Speaker 10: like it they do?
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Yeah, actually yeah no, yeah, because that top If you're
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: top two fifty, I believe you're considered Delta three sixty imagine.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: But you have to be specially invited by Activision itself.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: They write you a letter if you get the Activision
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: amex platinum.
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Every time there points, you get thirty s R back.
- 1:00:37Speaker 10: Yeah, And whenever you sign up one of those games,
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: some guy writes a handwritten note.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: If that was a thing, I would have won one
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: thousand percent. Get it.
- 1:00:46Speaker 10: Thank you for being called duty. You were one of
- 1:00:49Speaker 10: our most valued customers.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Oh man, I was fucking hounding Guardian. Did you see
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: when Matt Chain did the They did an episode where
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: they had the Verdance Call of Duty box No that
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: you didn't see that. I was hounding Gardini trying to
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: figure out what it was, what was in it?
- 1:01:05Speaker 10: And I don't know what that means? What is it?
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: It's like in the game in war Zone Call of
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: Duty you can get you can like unlock fucking chests
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: where you get loot like Fortnite. And they got sent
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: one to use his promo a physical We got sent
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: to physical chest from Call of Duty. WHOA, that is cool.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: I was like what the fuck? I was like, that's sick.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Why didn't we get one of those? What's in it?
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: And he was like nothing and I was.
- 1:01:29Speaker 10: Like, ah, actually.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Yeah, nothing was in it. So it was just a prop.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: It was just a prop.
- 1:01:36Speaker 10: There should have been something in it.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: You'd think maybe a gone candy. Yeah, imagine you open
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: it up and there's just a fucking AR fifteen in there,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Like WHOA Activision really splurged on their promo this year?
- 1:01:57Speaker 10: Do I need to register this a firearm? Mm hmm?
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Oh fuck, what's the matter? I gotta call it the
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: front door. I missed it. It goes to shades. Oh
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: there goes the sunglasses. I mean, even if they.
- 1:02:17Speaker 10: Got then they would have been taken in the forty
- 1:02:21Speaker 10: five minutes.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: It's gonna be before your home.
- 1:02:26Speaker 10: Someone's gonna be shaking those and saying, oh these these
- 1:02:28Speaker 10: sound polarized.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Oh man, man, what else did I do this week?
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: Oh?
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: I saw warfare?
- 1:02:34Speaker 10: How was that good? I'm excited to see that.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: Sick.
- 1:02:37Speaker 10: I might just go alone. Sick, I might just I
- 1:02:39Speaker 10: think I'm gonna go see that alone.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: You should just go solo, dude. The theater was empty.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 1:02:46Speaker 10: I got it. Oh that's cool. I gotta say. I
- 1:02:50Speaker 10: had some real problems sleeping this weekend. Why well, I think.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Because taking a break from the cush No.
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: I was on it on it pretty heavy and couldn't sleep.
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: I have this lobster claw pipe that I bought in Maine.
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: It's red. It's a lobster claws glass.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Which part of the claw are you smoking out of.
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: The smaller of the two pincers, right? So if it's
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: like that, that's the lobster claw that the hole is here, interesting,
- 1:03:20Speaker 10: and then the rush is over here on this.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: That's a good piece of glass. It's great. Yeah, I
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: love it. How many pieces do you got?
- 1:03:26Speaker 10: Would you say, well, none, that's the only one.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Eh.
- 1:03:30Speaker 10: No, I've got like a couple of one hitters maybe, Yeah,
- 1:03:33Speaker 10: which are the ones you've talked about?
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: Yeah you have those? Yeah?
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: You have crack pipes, yes, yeah, yeah, but I've retro
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: fitted them for marijuana.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: Yeah, with a craft pipe. All you have to do
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: is you just bashed the top half of the round
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: globe in and then you've got a bowl. But you
- 1:03:51Speaker 10: should try to sand down the edges of the shattered
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: glass because those.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: I was in a smoke shop the other day getting
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: jewel pods and they had just they just had a
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: bowl of just like meth pipes really like the like
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: the silk glo all the way with the globe. Yep.
- 1:04:08Speaker 10: So how does that work? You put the rock down
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: in the body, through the whole thing, and then you
- 1:04:15Speaker 10: just use the lighter beneath it.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: I would assume.
- 1:04:18Speaker 10: So is the idea there that meth smoke and crack
- 1:04:24Speaker 10: smoke are so valuable.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want to waste it. They don't want
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: it going up into the app Yeah, you don't want
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: to waste any one time when I was fishing, that's crazy.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: One time when I was fishing, when I was I
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: was really young. I was with my grandfather and my
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: dad and we were fishing like off of like a
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: dock in Cape Cod, and there was a dude who
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: was fishing off the bridge right above the dock, and
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: he was smoking a cigar and he had this thing
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: over his like face, like this like long hat, and
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: then a thing like a thing that he a strap
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: that he wore around his nose, and he was smoking
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: a cigar and it was so that the smoke would
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: stop when it got around his face, and he wouldn't
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: miss any of the smoke. I swear to God, there's
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: no way, I swear to God that's not. My grandfather
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: explained it to me the second we saw it. He
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: was like, that's someone who's who's fully addicted to smoking cigar.
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: Well, heavens, I mean, just buy cheaper cigars.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Yeah you yeah, huh do you did that?
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: Fucking ulysses As Grant used to smoke eighteen to twenty
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: cigars a day.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: That's fucking insane.
- 1:05:27Speaker 10: It died of mouth cancer, yeah, had growth on his tongue.
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: It was a horrible way to die.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: That sounds like torture. Yeah, when we did the me
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: and Owen got selected for the yak when we did
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: the Super Bowl to smoke, Like, what was it we
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: had to smoke a pack of cigarettes in a day
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: something like that. We didn't do it. Yeah, we didn't
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: actually pursue it. I mean we would, like we would
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: take photos smoking the cigarettes, but like even like pretending
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: to smoke. We probably smoked ten full cigarettes a day
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: and then would like pretend to smoke ten. I think
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: you feel fucking.
- 1:06:02Speaker 10: I think I've smoked half a cigarette total in my
- 1:06:05Speaker 10: whole life. Really, dude, it hurts so much. I've never
- 1:06:10Speaker 10: gotten through that feeling of a cigarette where it just
- 1:06:14Speaker 10: does it feels like it's punching you in the wales. Yeah,
- 1:06:17Speaker 10: and I feel fortunate.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: I feel that when I inhale a cigar, it's totally
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: just fucking roundhouse. You're intestine.
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: Yes, I get it absolutely with that, But I also
- 1:06:26Speaker 10: get it with a cigarette, and I don't feel the
- 1:06:28Speaker 10: need to push through that because why would I. Yeah,
- 1:06:32Speaker 10: I'm deterred from ever smoking cigarette.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't smoked cigarette over a year. Yeah, definitely
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: since I stopped drinking or now that's actually not true.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: When we film we were filming the show the other
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I smoked like five cigarettes in a row the other day.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: But in my defense, those cigarettes are fucking the size
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: of pixie sticks. Was that for the show. Yeah, they
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: were using these like little thin, tiny like French cigarettes,
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: like literally like the width of like a two pick. Yeah,
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: we were. We were filming like three lines and I
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: had to get a new cigarette every single time because
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: they just would be one hit, they'd be gone, Wow. Yeah,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: it was like the Tom and Jerry fucking you smoke
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: it in one one poll. Yeah, it was funny. I
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: love a cigar though, me too, you do.
- 1:07:20Speaker 10: Oh, yeah, that's something we have in common.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Yeah, we've done cigar out on the podcast many times.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 1:07:27Speaker 10: Well, and you know what we should do? What when
- 1:07:29Speaker 10: can we go fishing?
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Anytime? Really? I mean this is really, like to be honest,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: right now is like prime time for this area, Like
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: it's prime time for like Jersey.
- 1:07:43Speaker 10: What about my place up state?
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Your place up state? I'd say fishing is probably good
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: right now, probably get it'll probably be good longer, like
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: it'll probably be good through No, I don't know what.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: I wouldn't say end of July, but like mid July.
- 1:07:58Speaker 10: Okay, So June's okay.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but I got a busy June. Why I feel
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: like I got a bunch of shit in June. No way.
- 1:08:05Speaker 10: Yeah, that's prime cigar season.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: No August fishing cigar season.
- 1:08:12Speaker 10: I got some good ones. Yeah, smoke some stogies.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Yeah. When we were in Wyoming last summer, we were
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: in the town of Buffalo, Wyoming that was like the
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: closest actual town to us, and we would go to
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: this We went twice to this like six sporting goods
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: store where it's like you're in Wyoming, so it's obviously
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: it's like a fly shop, hunting all that shit, and
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: they just have like I mean, for a gearhead, it's
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: paradise walking in there. Yeah, and you know, we would
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: go get flies. And then right across the street they
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: had like a real like nice cigar shop. We would
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: go in there and pick up cigars for the week's
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: cool and it was so nice. We got these like
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: small little guys, thick small guys. Nice cigar hour every night.
- 1:08:51Speaker 10: Kind of Yeah. Every time I'm flying back from some
- 1:08:55Speaker 10: foreign country, I go into their duty free and I
- 1:08:58Speaker 10: go into the humidor large walk in cigar cavern. Man,
- 1:09:04Speaker 10: I don't know what to buy. That's my problem.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: That's my problem too.
- 1:09:08Speaker 10: And I get overwhelmed and there are so many options,
- 1:09:10Speaker 10: and some of them seem extremely expensive. I'm no aficionado. Now,
- 1:09:15Speaker 10: I don't need the best of the best.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: But you kind of want to know what the best
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: of the best is so you can know what sucks now.
- 1:09:21Speaker 10: Yeah, exactly. And and and I think what I would say,
- 1:09:24Speaker 10: if anyone really knows cigars, is that I like, you know,
- 1:09:27Speaker 10: a medium to light. I don't want my mouth to
- 1:09:30Speaker 10: feel like uless He's as Grant's mouth, Yeah, all night long,
- 1:09:38Speaker 10: you know. I'd like to be able to taste my dinner. Yeah,
- 1:09:43Speaker 10: so a light to medium, but also one that theoretically
- 1:09:47Speaker 10: I could honestly have two cigars. Sometimes I like to
- 1:09:50Speaker 10: have two cigars. You ever have two cigars?
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: Now? Maybe on fourth of July one year, yeah, or
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: on grad when I graduated high school, I definitely smoked
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: more and two cigars. Really, I was smoking cigars the
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: whole day. Oh, that's fun. Yeah, it was fun. I
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: remember driving Matt home from graduation and I was we
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: were smoking cigars in my.
- 1:10:09Speaker 10: Car, in your car windows rolled down. That's great, that's fair.
- 1:10:13Speaker 10: That's so fun. Was that a big deal for.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: You graduating high school? Yeah? You know, like I knew
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I was gonna graduate. Actually that's not true at all.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: There was a it was getting close at the end,
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: really yeah, but it was all bullshit. It was like
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: I was bad at school, but like the teachers also
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: didn't like me, and they would call my parents and
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: tell them shit that. I would be like, that's not
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: gonna happen, Like that's not it's just not true.
- 1:10:43Speaker 10: What would they say.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: They would be like, well, you know, currently Harry has
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: a They would be like, we had this thing called
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: the portal where it would you you could check your
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: grades online. Yeah, and it would be very organized, like
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: you go down to the assignment and in my math class,
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: all of our assignments would be like do it like
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: the end of the like we would get all you
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: get a bunch of assignments at once and then they
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: all be done at the same time. So it was
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: like we were we were maybe like a month out
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: from graduating, and there was only two assignments in the portal.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: One of them I didn't do one of them. I
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: got like an ady on. So my average grade was like,
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: I was failing. I had like a thirty percent of
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: the class. Yeah, And they teacher called my parents and
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: was like, Harry is a thirty percent. He's not going
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: to graduate if it doesn't go up. Meanwhile, we have
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: nine assignments that I'm done, that I'm done with that
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: are due in like a week, and I'm like, so
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: obviously my grade is going to go up.
- 1:11:38Speaker 10: But couldn't couldn't they don't you think it's better that
- 1:11:41Speaker 10: they were on top of it reaching out to your parents,
- 1:11:43Speaker 10: because there's no there's.
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: All that does is that like I know, I'm I
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: know I need to graduate high school. I'm not fucking like.
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: You just said that. It was touch and go there
- 1:11:51Speaker 10: for a second.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: Well it was touch and go in the sense that
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: they called my parents and and said that there's a
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: chance I want graduate.
- 1:11:57Speaker 10: There are a lot of teachers that wouldn't do that even.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: But in my head I was like, I'm obviously my grea.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: I ended up getting like a B in the class.
- 1:12:03Speaker 10: Because they were so they fought for you.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: No, they didn't fight for me. They just say that
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: teacher I think didn't like.
- 1:12:08Speaker 10: Look, I think at this point we can all agree
- 1:12:10Speaker 10: it takes a village.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: No, and I.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Would say it takes a village, but I'd say it
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: also takes a village to destroy a child.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: And I'd say the village was out. They were out
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: against me.
- 1:12:20Speaker 10: Even if the village had left you alone, that would
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: have also destroyed you.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: They were trying to bring me down.
- 1:12:25Speaker 10: Think about how sweet those cigars tasted in the car
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: with bow with peters. Yeah, go ahead, take it.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Hello, Yeah, Hi, how's it going? Least extension? Did you
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: send it in mail or on email? Okay, I'll sign
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: that and send it back today. Yeah, that's my bad.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: I apologize for that. Okay, it sounds good. What was that? Okay,
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: got it? But did you hear that?
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: Yeah you haven't.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: That guy's a fucking ass You haven't signed your least excess.
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: I'm paying the rent. It doesn't matter, and now I
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: thought I did to be honest. Yeah, he gave me
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: that exact same call last year. He's a fucking asshole
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: that I told you. I told you about When he
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: calls and he sounds like the fucking mafia.
- 1:13:42Speaker 10: You are just living there, fucking n.
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: They don't send an email or anything. I don't check
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: my mail everyone.
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: In New York knows when their least ends.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Dude to be I mean, that's crazy. I'm gonna sign it,
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: but I'm paying rent.
- 1:13:58Speaker 10: But they aren't. They can't. They can't guarantee that you
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: are gonna pay rent if you are not basically your squatting,
- 1:14:05Speaker 10: and if you didn't squatting, if you're not protected by
- 1:14:09Speaker 10: a lease, They're not protected by a lase.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I've never had to They do this every time, and
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: every single time they end up being able to do
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: it through remats.
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: Dude, you need to do You need to fucking get
- 1:14:19Speaker 10: your business manager. If your business manager is running your
- 1:14:21Speaker 10: leases and stuff like that, you need to get him
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: aware of when your lease ends so that you can
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: re up. You're gonna get screwed. They'll start showing your
- 1:14:28Speaker 10: apartment and be like, sorry, dude, we've raised the rent
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: and a new tenant is coming in. Yeah, I'm not
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: even kidding you.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not sweating it.
- 1:14:37Speaker 10: It's not a fucking dorm room in college where you're
- 1:14:43Speaker 10: just guaranteed to be able to float in the wind
- 1:14:45Speaker 10: like that.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: You know. Yeah, I'm not too worried about it. I've
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: lived there for over three years.
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: It's the West Village, it's.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Not you know. Yeah, they called me nowhere and he
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: said the exact same thing.
- 1:15:00Speaker 10: He was not happy. He's a dick if you couldn't
- 1:15:02Speaker 10: hear it at home.
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: He goes.
- 1:15:04Speaker 10: Harry said, I'm sorry about that, and he goes, I'm
- 1:15:06Speaker 10: not looking for apologies.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he's like some old fucking Russian dude or something.
- 1:15:11Speaker 10: I wouldn't fuck with that guy.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: I hate him.
- 1:15:14Speaker 10: I get it.
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: You don't, that's not it. You don't talk to people
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: like that. It's insane.
- 1:15:20Speaker 10: You didn't sign your lease extension.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: You don't. You emailed them and say, hey, could you
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: sign the least? Probably send They have not sent me
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: a sing?
- 1:15:27Speaker 10: Is there something in your mailbox?
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Now they know that's what he said. I said, did
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: you send it on email or do you send it
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: in a mail? And he said, we sent it in mail?
- 1:15:33Speaker 10: Yeah, man, I mean shot me in physical lease.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: I've I didn't have to sign a physical lease last year.
- 1:15:42Speaker 10: I don't know what to say.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Now he emails me. He emailed me last He emailed
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: me in March and he said do you want to
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: do you want to resign? I said yes? And then
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: he said this is what the new rent is going
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: to be about, up one hundred bucks. He said, perfect.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: I've been paying that rent since.
- 1:15:56Speaker 10: I get it.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: But so throw me an eail and you still got
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: to sign the landlord. Don't call me and be like
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna fucking murder you.
- 1:16:03Speaker 11: That's that.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: We were close to that, We were close to people
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: on the radio apartment right now. That's crazy. And I
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: told you, I said, last time he called me was
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: a year ago, probably right around today. So and he said,
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: the exec he calls with this like threatening tone.
- 1:16:17Speaker 10: Yeah, because you are delinquent on lease.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: He said, you either pay or you get at I pay.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: I pay on time every single month. Guy's an asshole.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: That's you don't call people like that. That's we're not
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: living it. It's not the nineteen seventies anymore.
- 1:16:32Speaker 10: I don't know what to tell you. You're wrong here,
- 1:16:36Speaker 10: I'm not. Yes, you are. Every other person I've ever
- 1:16:39Speaker 10: met in New York knows to the day when their
- 1:16:41Speaker 10: least ends, and usually as that day approaches, there's a
- 1:16:45Speaker 10: conversation between them and the owner of the landlord. And
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: there was okay, and there was and one where it's yes,
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: I intend to stay on great, here's the rent. Great,
- 1:16:57Speaker 10: and you sign the extension, because if you're not your
- 1:17:01Speaker 10: lease when your lease ends, dude, truly, truly, you could
- 1:17:05Speaker 10: do whatever you fucking want in there now, and they're
- 1:17:08Speaker 10: not protected. I don't think.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that sucks for them.
- 1:17:12Speaker 10: And what's more, theoretically you're probably not protected by by
- 1:17:17Speaker 10: a lease, meaning if your heat stopped working, I think
- 1:17:22Speaker 10: the landlords in New York are beholden to provide adequate
- 1:17:26Speaker 10: heating and water and stuff like that, they wouldn't have
- 1:17:30Speaker 10: to necessarily fix that because you're not You're not even
- 1:17:32Speaker 10: their tenant anymore. Yeah, you're just a guy who's handing
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: the money so you can continue to sleep in a home.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Yeah, technically it's been two weeks. Your lease ended at
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: the end of March. It ended, it starts I think
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: a week ind April. Okay, so that's a little bit
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: of a you don't think that's a little harsh two
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: weeks two weeks ram was paid on time. I think
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: that maybe me a tech like shoot me an email,
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: be like, hey, could you sign the least and get
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: it back to us.
- 1:18:03Speaker 10: I listen, I get where he's coming from.
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: All. I mean, I've never heard I've never heard anyone
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: take the side of the landlord in this situation. I'm
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: just that dude calling someone and saying that it's insane. Well,
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: he didn't say he's going to kill you. It was
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: it was implied. No, it was implied, No, that's a
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: that's a stress. It was implied, keep you know, keep
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: your curtains closed tonight.
- 1:18:26Speaker 10: I heard conversation and all he said was he was mad.
- 1:18:31Speaker 10: He seemed mad that you were late. He said, I
- 1:18:35Speaker 10: don't want to I don't want your apology.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: That's not it wasn't. It wasn't I don't need the apology,
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: could you? It was I don't want your fucking apology.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: He didn't say, fucking I don't want your apology, sign
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: the lease or move out. Well, he's living, and he's
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: sleeping in a fucking he's in a castle somewhere up
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: on by Central Park.
- 1:18:55Speaker 10: This is all big talk on the phone. You bent
- 1:18:57Speaker 10: the knee.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, because I don't want to die. I mean
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: that was crazy. You heard him. Now you know, I'm
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: not mad. I wasn't making it up last time when I.
- 1:19:07Speaker 10: I'm glad you took that phone call. This is what
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: we're dealing with here. At some point, you're gonna have
- 1:19:12Speaker 10: to grow up and smell the roses.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Brother. Brother, I'm growing up and I've smelled the roses.
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: You're gonna have to start taking respects for the parameters
- 1:19:19Speaker 10: of your own lifestyle.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: My life. You keep on describing my lifestyle like I
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: live this.
- 1:19:24Speaker 10: Fucking I'm not judging your lifestyle. I'm saying, to preserve
- 1:19:27Speaker 10: the lifestyle.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: We've all forgotten to sign a lease here and there.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: Shit happens paid the rent on time. You think that's
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: what they would care more about. But I get it.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: I do need to sign the lease, and I'll go
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: home and I'll sign it. I might leave a little
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: note on the bottom say call me like that again
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: during work hours, and I'll fucking murder you.
- 1:19:45Speaker 10: Oh shit, Oh shit.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: I mean, you don't just get to call people and
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: say things like he did. He did, I'm gonna call
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: him back. Go ahead, I'm gonna say we got a
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: problem here, chief. Every landlords are just fucking prick.
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: Can I ask you a question. If he saw this,
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: he'd be pretty pissed. You think he's gonna see this,
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: I mean, you're you're there.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: If he sees this, he's gonna be pretty he's gonna
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: have a lot of problems with his.
- 1:20:16Speaker 10: I mean, yeah, you're taking some big swings at this guy.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: He was taking some big swings at me.
- 1:20:21Speaker 10: He wasn't that swinging hard.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: As an American, I have the right to go on
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: my podcast and talk shit about my landlord.
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: Okay, I'm just saying.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Dude, the guy's one hundred thousand years old and he
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: owns eight hundred buildings in New York. You think he's
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: gonna find the podcast where we talk about my landlord
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: with zero a way of identifying him. I don't even
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: know what the guy's name is. That's the only time
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: I've ever I've heard. That's the second time I've ever
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: heard from my landlord. Okay, and both times it has
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: gone exactly that way.
- 1:20:50Speaker 10: In all likelihood, he won't, But boy, oh boy, would
- 1:20:53Speaker 10: I love to hear the conversation when he calls to
- 1:20:56Speaker 10: say he listened to this episode the show and I saw,
- 1:21:01Speaker 10: Wait a minute, you're talking about that guy. Yeah, he's
- 1:21:04Speaker 10: one hundred thousand years old. Oh yeah, then why are
- 1:21:07Speaker 10: you afraid of him?
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: Because it sounds like he has ties to the Russian
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: Russian mafia?
- 1:21:12Speaker 10: All Right, well, then he's gonna sick his goons on you.
- 1:21:16Speaker 10: He's going for this episode. I'm gonna go outside. I'm
- 1:21:18Speaker 10: gonna I'm gonna get back to my apartment.
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: There's gonna be like two escalades parked out front, YEP
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: lights off.
- 1:21:22Speaker 10: YEP too low, riding bms following, guys getting out. Guys
- 1:21:30Speaker 10: get out in red Adidas track suits.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: What's your address? I need somewhere to go.
- 1:21:34Speaker 10: You can come crash it me. You need to lie
- 1:21:36Speaker 10: low for a bet.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: I don't feel safe. Yeah, bring your console. I mean
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: that's crazy. That's a crazy call to get I don't know.
- 1:21:44Speaker 10: Maybe I'm wrong for I'm not. I'm not siding with
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: your landlord. Okay, yeah, No, I get like, I get it.
- 1:21:50Speaker 10: I need to get Historically, I uh do not get
- 1:21:54Speaker 10: along particularly well.
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: With Maybe I'll say, hey, i'll sign the least cauld
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: we get a refrigerator. Refrigerator would be great.
- 1:22:02Speaker 10: Well, I don't think you have much leverage anymore as
- 1:22:06Speaker 10: a result of being delinquent. You should have said I'll
- 1:22:09Speaker 10: happily increase the rent. Stay on you guys. Don't want
- 1:22:13Speaker 10: to have to come in here. Paint the apartment, show
- 1:22:16Speaker 10: it do all the stuff to get new tenants in here.
- 1:22:19Speaker 10: You don't want to do that. All I'm asking for
- 1:22:22Speaker 10: is a refrigerator.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: It's not a bad idea. That's how you do that.
- 1:22:28Speaker 10: And you would probably have had the foresight or I
- 1:22:30Speaker 10: could have told you to do something like that if
- 1:22:32Speaker 10: you had told me when your lease ends. I hate
- 1:22:34Speaker 10: to say this. I can actually help your life, and
- 1:22:38Speaker 10: I want to.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: My life doesn't need help.
- 1:22:41Speaker 10: But that's so stubborn of you.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Everybody's life could improve. Yeah, everyone's life can improve it.
- 1:22:46Speaker 10: And again, you have to understand me. I'm not judging
- 1:22:50Speaker 10: your life.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: Maybe maybe maybe I am a little bit, definitely are, but.
- 1:22:54Speaker 10: With the intention of helping. I don't want to just
- 1:22:59Speaker 10: leave you alone to fucking rotten squalor. I want to
- 1:23:03Speaker 10: I want to help you avoid angry phone calls that
- 1:23:06Speaker 10: stress you out.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: From your Russian lam dressed I'm furious.
- 1:23:09Speaker 10: Yeah, there you go. I want to get you a
- 1:23:11Speaker 10: new refrigerator. I want to get you better heating, and.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: My heats we don't need more. We don't need better heating.
- 1:23:17Speaker 10: No, I know air conditioning. I want to get you
- 1:23:21Speaker 10: better air conditioning. I want to get you to a
- 1:23:23Speaker 10: place where you're not getting bothered by your drunken, unattractive
- 1:23:27Speaker 10: neighbor banging on your door creates a situation. Let's let's
- 1:23:31Speaker 10: get you a ring camera, a ring doorbell camera. By
- 1:23:34Speaker 10: the way, I think somebody is sleeping in my place
- 1:23:37Speaker 10: up state. I'm not even dude. My cleaning lady up there,
- 1:23:42Speaker 10: I told her specifically, don't clean the second bedroom. Nobody's
- 1:23:47Speaker 10: been in there. And then her she came and her
- 1:23:51Speaker 10: other girl she was with. They cleaned that, they've changed
- 1:23:53Speaker 10: the sheets and cleaned the second bedroom, and then they
- 1:23:55Speaker 10: charged me accordingly. I know the rate for when the
- 1:23:58Speaker 10: second bedroom needs to be first when it doesn't. And
- 1:24:00Speaker 10: I said, hey, I just so you know, like, I'm
- 1:24:03Speaker 10: curious why you charged me the full rate. And she
- 1:24:06Speaker 10: sent me a picture of the fucking spare bedroom bed
- 1:24:09Speaker 10: and it.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: Was all messed up. Somebody has gone.
- 1:24:12Speaker 10: In there and slept in there, and I'm like, what
- 1:24:16Speaker 10: the fuck. So I got a little bit of a problem,
- 1:24:18Speaker 10: and therefore I'm starting to think about putting a ring
- 1:24:20Speaker 10: camera on my in my house.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: That's more serious situation.
- 1:24:25Speaker 10: No, it's not, it's not. I don't have the Russians
- 1:24:27Speaker 10: after me.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:24:29Speaker 10: At worst, I have some kids who are banging in
- 1:24:31Speaker 10: my extra bedroom.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: That's still bad.
- 1:24:33Speaker 10: I'll take take that over a Molotov cocktail through my
- 1:24:37Speaker 10: second story window any day of the week in the
- 1:24:40Speaker 10: West Village. Holy ship, dude.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: To send a brick through my fucking window.
- 1:24:44Speaker 10: Yeah, they are man, bottle of fucking Svedka.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: Dude, that call is nuts. I mean that's crazy. Yeah,
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: I mean I was. I couldn't have been more polite.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's my apologies. I'm gonna go get that
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: to you today. I don't want your fucking apology.
- 1:25:06Speaker 10: M h.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: It's in the least you head on a fucking stake,
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: all right, I want you wanted the gimmick away.
- 1:25:14Speaker 10: I need to read I need to read you something.
- 1:25:16Speaker 10: It's like, okay, hold on a second, anyway, see.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Stop by any time. I live at five Wait what
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: does he say in the town. He's like, I live
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: at five five?
- 1:25:35Speaker 10: Okay? Are you ready for this? Oh my god, dude,
- 1:25:43Speaker 10: you ready for this?
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:25:44Speaker 10: I'm just gonna issue a trigger warning to our listeners.
- 1:25:47Speaker 10: I'm gonna read you, guys a story from uh the
- 1:25:52Speaker 10: news of something that just happened in New York City.
- 1:25:57Speaker 10: And it's incredibly disgusting.
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Okay, okay, this just happened.
- 1:26:02Speaker 10: Just happened. One of the more grotesque US crime stories
- 1:26:08Speaker 10: of late unfolded on a southbound R train near the
- 1:26:12Speaker 10: Whitehall Street station in Manhattan at about twelve to twenty
- 1:26:16Speaker 10: am on Wednesday, when an unidentified individual had sexual contact
- 1:26:23Speaker 10: with an unconscious and unresponsive adult male In plane view
- 1:26:27Speaker 10: of surveillance cameras, a man sexually violated a corpse on
- 1:26:34Speaker 10: a New York City subway train after stealing from the body,
- 1:26:39Speaker 10: becoming the second of two people to rob that particular
- 1:26:43Speaker 10: dead person. Oh so a guy dies on the subway
- 1:26:49Speaker 10: and he's just there, and he's just sitting there, dead, unresponsive.
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: Not people just start fucking home.
- 1:26:57Speaker 10: Someone comes up robs him, and then another guy comes
- 1:27:01Speaker 10: up robs him again and fucks him.
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: And this is all happening on the subway.
- 1:27:06Speaker 10: His fox, his dead body. Yeah, a person told me
- 1:27:11Speaker 10: this at dinner a couple of nights ago.
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: Oh, I thought this has just happened.
- 1:27:15Speaker 10: It happened on April twelfth. That story is from April twelfth.
- 1:27:18Speaker 10: To me, that's in the scope of how disgusting and
- 1:27:21Speaker 10: horrible that story is. I would say that that just happened.
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty fucked. And that was on the R train.
- 1:27:29Speaker 10: On the R train at twelve twenty. I mean, that's
- 1:27:31Speaker 10: not even the that of night. That's got to be
- 1:27:34Speaker 10: some commuters are there.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: Whitehall? Where does the R train.
- 1:27:37Speaker 10: Go into Brooklyn? White Hall, I think is the last
- 1:27:41Speaker 10: station in Manhattan on the R before you switch over
- 1:27:45Speaker 10: to Brooklyn.
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: Interesting, I don't know if I've ever taken the R.
- 1:27:49Speaker 10: It's down in.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: Like I tried to stick with the numbers.
- 1:27:54Speaker 10: Yeah, you're a local guy. You don't ever go to Brooklyn.
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: That's fucked. So that happened anyways. This is me and
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: my landlord.
- 1:28:04Speaker 11: You only got a gun, you guys numbers.
- 1:28:11Speaker 9: You're an old guy with a face as glory is

- 1:29:18Speaker 10: Oh shoot, I just realized in blood it said it
- 1:29:22Speaker 10: needed blue or black ink. I used the number two pencil.
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: What do you mean taekwondo roga doesn't hold up. I
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: haven't gotten my paws on a good taekwondo roga in
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: a minute. There's a nice you dent your fingernails into him.
- 1:29:41Speaker 10: There was a moment where school classrooms went from the
- 1:29:45Speaker 10: hand wound pencil sharpener that basically just broke shredded every
- 1:29:50Speaker 10: single time, like sticking into the mouth of a beaver,
- 1:29:55Speaker 10: to the electronic ones where they came out fucking you
- 1:29:59Speaker 10: can't surgery.
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: Yeah, nothing better.
