Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein And The Dentist (8/31/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. The New York Times has a new piece
0:07
Speaker 1: out about Karinia Shulak, Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend, at the time
0:12
Speaker 1: that he died. And there's certainly a lot of questions
0:16
Speaker 1: that still hang in the air when it comes to
0:18
Speaker 1: Karinia Shulak and where exactly she fits in in the
0:22
Speaker 1: story overall. So in this episode, we're going to jump
0:25
Speaker 1: into an article from the New York Times talking about
0:28
Speaker 1: Karinia Shulak and providing us a bit more context about
0:32
Speaker 1: who she is and what her role was. Like I said,
0:36
Speaker 1: this article was published by the New York Times and
0:39
Speaker 1: the headline, Meet the Woman Who Stands to Inherit Much
0:42
Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's Fortune. This article was authored by Matthew
0:47
Speaker 1: Goldstein and Sharon Otterman. The young dentist was smiling and soft-spoken,
0:54
Speaker 1: wearing a Columbia University fleece jacket, and holding her long
0:57
Speaker 1: hair back with a clip. She was introduced by her assistant,
1:01
Speaker 1: simply Dr. Corinna. But what the patient, who had come
1:04
Speaker 1: to the office in December, expecting to see a different dentist,
1:08
Speaker 1: didn't know, was that she was being treated by Dr.
1:11
Speaker 1: Corinna Shulak, the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend. Yeah,
1:17
Speaker 1: probably not the person I want rooting around in my mouth.
1:22
Speaker 1: Can I have somebody besides Nurse Ratched, please? Dr. Shulak
1:27
Speaker 1: was the last person Mr. Epstein called before he killed
1:29
Speaker 1: himself in his jail cell in 2019, allegedly. I'm glad
1:35
Speaker 1: they're so sure about everything, huh? I mean, Matthew Goldstein
1:38
Speaker 1: and Sharon Otterman, I'm sure they trust the Trump administration
1:41
Speaker 1: in all other areas. But all of a sudden, they're
1:45
Speaker 1: sure that Epstein killed himself, huh? Okay, I guess. She
1:52
Speaker 1: could inherit as much as $ 100 million from his estate,
1:55
Speaker 1: including a 33-carat diamond ring, according to a trove of
1:59
Speaker 1: investigative records released by federal authorities. But on that winter day, Dr.
2:05
Speaker 1: Shulak was working as a part-time dentist in an unremarkable
2:08
Speaker 1: office in downtown Brooklyn, according to dentists who work or
2:12
Speaker 1: used to work at the practice. That must be wild.
2:17
Speaker 1: You find out that you were working with one of
2:19
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's, you know, girlfriends, one of his confidants. And look,
2:24
Speaker 1: I don't know what Karinia Shulak was up to, if anything,
2:27
Speaker 1: as far as Jeffrey Epstein's criminal operation goes. But I'm
2:31
Speaker 1: sure she has some information that could be helpful. Whether
2:35
Speaker 1: that's incriminating or not, I have no idea. But she
2:38
Speaker 1: was certainly around. She has intimate knowledge of who that
2:41
Speaker 1: dude was, what his mind frame was, and what was
2:45
Speaker 1: going on. That final phone call. And I think that's
2:49
Speaker 1: very important for us to hear. and I think Congress
2:53
Speaker 1: should subpoena her. Her attempt to forge something of a
2:57
Speaker 1: normal life, though, was soon shattered when the Justice Department
3:01
Speaker 1: released 3 million pages of investigative files and emails it
3:05
Speaker 1: had gathered on Mr. Epstein. The files, released in late January,
3:10
Speaker 1: included thousands of intimate emails between Dr. Shulak and Mr. Epstein,
3:15
Speaker 1: and dozens of photographs of her and them together. Not
3:19
Speaker 1: exactly the kind of information you want to go down
3:21
Speaker 1: in the record, right? Yeah, you know, Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend,
3:25
Speaker 1: no big deal. Suddenly, their nearly eight-year relationship was on
3:31
Speaker 1: vivid display for all to see. They had fights about sex.
3:35
Speaker 1: With both wanting more at different times, she placed orders
3:38
Speaker 1: to a sexual wellness company for couples. She periodically sent
3:42
Speaker 1: them links to graphic pornographic videos. In some emails, they
3:46
Speaker 1: discussed birth control pills and acne medications. and treatments. Dr. Shuliac, 37,
3:53
Speaker 1: emerges as a complicated and unusual figure in Mr. Epstein's world,
3:58
Speaker 1: based on a close review of the files and conversations
4:01
Speaker 1: with several people familiar with her. A native of Belarus
4:06
Speaker 1: who met Mr. Epstein when she was 21, she's not
4:09
Speaker 1: identified herself as a victim, nor have federal authorities considered
4:13
Speaker 1: her a co-conspirator in Mr. Epstein's sex trafficking. And that's
4:17
Speaker 1: what I'm talking about. She's occupying a pretty complicated space here.
4:23
Speaker 1: Like she hasn't called herself a victim. And we have
4:27
Speaker 1: no information that she was partaking in any of the abuse.
4:32
Speaker 1: So where does she fit in? In my opinion, she
4:36
Speaker 1: fits in as somebody that has a whole lot of knowledge.
4:39
Speaker 1: She can fill in some gaps. She can provide maybe
4:42
Speaker 1: some details about some situations that they don't have a
4:47
Speaker 1: complete picture of. And if they would have done a
4:51
Speaker 1: real investigation from the very beginning, you would think that
4:53
Speaker 1: they'd call her in, right? Sit her down. What did
4:56
Speaker 1: you guys talk about on that last phone call? What happened?
4:59
Speaker 1: What did he tell you? What was his state of mind?
5:02
Speaker 1: Is there anything that we might have missed? But God
5:04
Speaker 1: forbid they do that, right? God forbid they have a
5:07
Speaker 1: real investigation. There's no indication that the Federal Bureau of
5:10
Speaker 1: Investigations ever interviewed her and lawyers for hundreds of his
5:13
Speaker 1: victims have never deposed her. The last person to talk
5:17
Speaker 1: to him and the authorities never bothered to talk to her. Yeah,
5:21
Speaker 1: nothing odd about that. Everything is on the up and
5:24
Speaker 1: up here. Meanwhile, we have the Attorney General at the time,
5:28
Speaker 1: Bill Barr, going to visit Stone Reyes at his house
5:31
Speaker 1: after he was released from jail? Okay, cool. Can we
5:35
Speaker 1: get some contemporaneous notes on that? What did they talk about?
5:41
Speaker 1: He once called her his favorite and often told her
5:44
Speaker 1: he loved her. She had free use of a credit
5:46
Speaker 1: card to buy whatever she wanted They jetted around the
5:49
Speaker 1: world together, and he funneled payments of nearly $ 1 million
5:52
Speaker 1: to her over the years. He also sent tens of
5:55
Speaker 1: thousands of dollars to her parents in Belarus, the files reveal.
6:00
Speaker 1: And there is abject poverty in Belarus. Well, they have
6:04
Speaker 1: money for weapons of war, right? They have money to
6:07
Speaker 1: help their boy Putin. But besides that, not exactly what
6:10
Speaker 1: you would call a rich country. And when you have
6:14
Speaker 1: somebody sending tens of thousands of dollars back to your family...
6:18
Speaker 1: Certainly not the kind of thing you want to let
6:19
Speaker 1: go of. Over the years, she earned enough of his
6:24
Speaker 1: trust to help manage his properties and staff and even
6:27
Speaker 1: played a critical role in his effort to buy a
6:29
Speaker 1: Moroccan plane just weeks before his 2019 arrest. So she
6:34
Speaker 1: basically stepped in and took over the role of Ghislaine
6:37
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Sarah Kellen Vickers. Maybe not with the abuse
6:41
Speaker 1: and the criminal end of it, but the logistics. Taking
6:45
Speaker 1: over Epstein's household. calling the shots, you know, that kind
6:49
Speaker 1: of thing. And again, look, I'm not saying she was
6:52
Speaker 1: involved in the abuse. We've seen no indication of that.
6:55
Speaker 1: But she was around. And I think that that's very important.
6:59
Speaker 1: And I think that if you were around something like this,
7:01
Speaker 1: you probably saw stuff, even if you don't know it.
7:04
Speaker 1: And that's why it's important for everybody to sit down
7:06
Speaker 1: with investigators. Mr. Epstein controlled the relationship, but there's little
7:11
Speaker 1: doubt she benefited from it professionally, personally, and financially. The
7:16
Speaker 1: emails reveal new details about how Mr. Epstein helped her
7:19
Speaker 1: get into Columbia University's dental school and how he helped
7:23
Speaker 1: her obtain U.S. citizenship by asking one of his female
7:26
Speaker 1: victims to marry her. Well, who told you about that?
7:31
Speaker 1: I told you there was marriage fraud and immigration fraud
7:34
Speaker 1: and a whole host of other shit nobody's talking about.
7:36
Speaker 1: And look, Epstein didn't do all of that on his own.
7:39
Speaker 1: There was somebody at the immigration office that was playing ball.
7:43
Speaker 1: There was somebody that was like, OK, we can do this.
7:46
Speaker 1: Send over the paperwork. Now, we'll probably never find out
7:50
Speaker 1: who that is because the government doesn't want to show
7:52
Speaker 1: their ass. And we've seen that with the redactions in
7:55
Speaker 1: the files. We have no idea who was engaging in
7:59
Speaker 1: the investigation. So how do we know who to hold accountable?
8:02
Speaker 1: And obviously, the law says that we should know who
8:04
Speaker 1: was engaging in these conversations and certainly who made the
8:07
Speaker 1: decision to not go after Epstein, to go after this one,
8:11
Speaker 1: to go after that one. and to give this one
8:13
Speaker 1: or that one a pass. All of that should be
8:15
Speaker 1: known to us. In one email, he suggested that the
8:20
Speaker 1: fastest way to a green card was through a same-sex marriage.
8:24
Speaker 1: This year, congressional Democrats accused Mr. Epstein of exploiting the
8:27
Speaker 1: immigration system and called out Dr. Shulak's marriage to an
8:31
Speaker 1: American woman, which ended in divorce, as potentially a luxury one. U.S.
8:37
Speaker 1: immigration authorities have not challenged the process through which Dr.
8:40
Speaker 1: Shuliac obtained her citizenship because that would give up the game.
8:44
Speaker 1: They'd have to admit then that what I've been telling
8:46
Speaker 1: you is true. And look, don't get this shit confused
8:50
Speaker 1: with the nonsense you see coming from people like Candace
8:53
Speaker 1: Owens and Charlie Kirk. We have evidence. Mountains of it.
8:59
Speaker 1: They have speculation. And if you're looking for a real cover-up,
9:03
Speaker 1: this is it. This is the whole game right here.
9:09
Speaker 1: And that's why they're fighting tooth and nail to make
9:11
Speaker 1: sure you never see the real details. As of this spring, Dr.
9:17
Speaker 1: Shuliac had been living in the Upper East Side, condo
9:20
Speaker 1: building in which Mr. Epstein's brother, Mark, has a financial stake.
9:24
Speaker 1: And that's the building at East 66th Street. And if
9:27
Speaker 1: you remember, that's where Epstein kept all of his models
9:30
Speaker 1: and his employees. And through a partnership with his brother, allegedly...
9:34
Speaker 1: they had access to a group of apartments in that building.
9:40
Speaker 1: Through her lawyer, she declined to comment. In a brief interview,
9:43
Speaker 1: Mark Epstein said, I only wish that woman the best. Oh,
9:46
Speaker 1: I'm sure. Do you wish any of the survivors the best, Mark?
9:51
Speaker 1: Anybody ask him about that? A friend of Dr. Shuliac's
9:53
Speaker 1: from Belarus, who once shared an apartment with her in
9:56
Speaker 1: Brooklyn and asked not to be named to protect her privacy,
9:59
Speaker 1: said she believed Dr. Shulak truly loved Jeffrey Epstein. Well,
10:03
Speaker 1: that's possible. I'm not going to say that, you know,
10:07
Speaker 1: she wasn't in love with him, but I will tell
10:09
Speaker 1: you this, he didn't love her. This man was incapable
10:13
Speaker 1: of real love. He was a monster, okay? A straight
10:17
Speaker 1: up monster. And I'm not just talking about the sexual deviancy.
10:21
Speaker 1: All of it. The shit he was engaging in. Arms running.
10:28
Speaker 1: Collecting compromise. Ruining people's lives. All of it is just heinous.
10:32
Speaker 1: Everything this guy was involved in. Corinna Shulak had lived
10:36
Speaker 1: in New York for only nine months when she met Mr.
10:39
Speaker 1: Epstein in late March of 2001. She had moved from
10:42
Speaker 1: Belarus on a temporary student visa to study English at
10:45
Speaker 1: a school in Manhattan. She was making about $ 15 an
10:49
Speaker 1: hour as a dental assistant and applying for waitressing jobs
10:53
Speaker 1: while she tried to figure out how to continue the
10:56
Speaker 1: dental education she had begun in Belarus. A young woman
11:00
Speaker 1: from Siberia who introduced her to Mr. Epstein the final show.
11:04
Speaker 1: And that's how deep this dude's reach went. All the
11:06
Speaker 1: way into Siberia. Make no mistake. He had his boy,
11:11
Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel, on the prowl. And Jean-Luc Brunel had no
11:15
Speaker 1: problem going to far-flung places to find girls to abuse,
11:20
Speaker 1: for him and Jeffrey Epstein to share. And when I
11:22
Speaker 1: tell you it was worldwide, this is what I mean.
11:25
Speaker 1: The woman said in an interview with the New York
11:27
Speaker 1: Times that she had periodically been expected to recruit other
11:31
Speaker 1: young women, presumably to provide Mr. Epstein with sexualized massages.
11:36
Speaker 1: And that appeared to be Mr. Epstein's intention with Dr. Shuliac. Yeah,
11:40
Speaker 1: he had to have a whole roster, right? He had
11:42
Speaker 1: a menagerie of women and girls. that were quote-unquote coming
11:46
Speaker 1: to give him massages. We all know what that means.
11:50
Speaker 1: They weren't going to give him massages, just like you're
11:52
Speaker 1: not going to the weed dispensary to buy a six-pack
11:54
Speaker 1: of beer. The woman, who asked not to be named
11:59
Speaker 1: because she said Mr. Epstein had abused her, had sent Mr.
12:03
Speaker 1: Epstein a photo of Dr. Shuliac describing her as pretty.
12:07
Speaker 1: After some back and forth, it was decided that the woman, Dr. Shuliac,
12:11
Speaker 1: and her roommate from Belarus would meet Mr. Epstein at
12:14
Speaker 1: his Manhattan mansion. Go slow, the woman advised Mr. Epstein
12:18
Speaker 1: in an email. Their first encounter fit the familiar pattern
12:23
Speaker 1: he used with other women. Epstein flattered, pampered, and tried
12:27
Speaker 1: to manipulate her. The files show. Almost immediately, he offered
12:31
Speaker 1: to help her realize her dream of becoming a dentist.
12:35
Speaker 1: And the trap was set. Hook, line, sinker. But the
12:40
Speaker 1: emails show that Dr. Shulak pushed back, at least in
12:43
Speaker 1: the first few months. A few weeks after they met,
12:46
Speaker 1: she wrote to Mr. Epstein telling him she had thought
12:49
Speaker 1: he was a remarkable person, but, she added, that she
12:52
Speaker 1: could not accept his help due to some views which
12:55
Speaker 1: strongly stay in my mind, no matter how stupid it
12:57
Speaker 1: may look. I wish you all the best, and I
13:00
Speaker 1: apologize if I wasted your time, she added. Though she
13:04
Speaker 1: doesn't specify what upset her, their introduction occurred after Mr.
13:08
Speaker 1: Epstein had pleaded guilty in Florida to a charge of
13:11
Speaker 1: soliciting prostitution from an underage teenager. and had been accused
13:15
Speaker 1: of abusing dozens of other teenagers. His response was to
13:19
Speaker 1: berate her for listening to rumors and stories. She responded, Mr. Epstein,
13:24
Speaker 1: who was 58 at the time, did not take no
13:26
Speaker 1: for an answer. The emails, released by federal prosecutors, show
13:28
Speaker 1: that he bought Dr. Shulak and her roommate tickets to
13:30
Speaker 1: see The Lion King, on Broadway and dinners at restaurants.
13:46
Speaker 1: He treated her to a scenic helicopter ride around Manhattan.
13:50
Speaker 1: By July 2011, she had visited his New Mexico ranch.
13:54
Speaker 1: A few months later, his private island residence in the U.S.
13:57
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands. All right, folks, we're going to wrap up
14:01
Speaker 1: episode one right here. And in the next episode, we're
14:03
Speaker 1: going to pick up where we left off. All the
14:06
Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
14:09
Speaker 1: the description box. What's up, everyone? And welcome to another
14:12
Speaker 1: episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking
14:17
Speaker 1: up where we left off with the New York Times
14:19
Speaker 1: article that was authored by Matthew Goldstein and Sharon Otterman
14:24
Speaker 1: dealing with Karinia Shulak. You are the purest man. Ever
14:29
Speaker 1: since she was a child, Dr. Shulak wanted to be
14:32
Speaker 1: a dentist. She was inspired by her own family's dental
14:35
Speaker 1: problems and what she saw as poor dental health in Belarus.
14:39
Speaker 1: She wrote in an admissions essay to dental school reviewed
14:42
Speaker 1: by the Times. She completed four or five years of
14:45
Speaker 1: dental school in Minsk, but stopped her studies to go
14:48
Speaker 1: to New York. By the winter of 2012, she accepted Mr.
14:53
Speaker 1: Epstein's help to get into dental school. After Columbia's College
14:57
Speaker 1: of Dental Medicine initially rejected her, Mr. Epstein asked his
15:00
Speaker 1: own dentist, Dr. Thomas J. Magnani, a powerful alumnus, to
15:07
Speaker 1: put him in contact with the dental school's dean. Mr.
15:10
Speaker 1: Epstein dangled the idea, of making up to a $ 10
15:13
Speaker 1: million donation. In the end, he would only give around $ 210, 000
15:18
Speaker 1: to Columbia, according to an accounting by the university, but
15:22
Speaker 1: it was enough to grease the wheels. Must be nice, huh?
15:26
Speaker 1: Little Lord Fuckleroy. Epstein shows up with a bag of
15:29
Speaker 1: money and gets whoever he wants into school. The Justice
15:34
Speaker 1: Department files include a text message chain showing how Dr.
15:37
Speaker 1: Magnani and Dr. James Fine, a dental school administrator, gave
15:42
Speaker 1: Shuliac a heads up on topics she would encounter during
15:45
Speaker 1: an admissions exam in April of 2012 to test her
15:48
Speaker 1: practical skills as a transfer student. Neither Dr. Magnani or Dr.
15:53
Speaker 1: Fine responded to a request for comment. Oh, why would they?
15:58
Speaker 1: They don't have to explain themselves to mere peasants like us.
16:02
Speaker 1: They're fine members of the community. Pillars, in fact. After
16:07
Speaker 1: she passed and Columbia admitted her, Mr. Epstein arranged for Dr.
16:11
Speaker 1: Shulak's mother to visit from Belarus. He would pay her
16:14
Speaker 1: tuition for three years of school. You are the purest
16:18
Speaker 1: man of all men, Dr. Shulak wrote to him in
16:22
Speaker 1: June of 2012. Can you fucking imagine? Imagine the gaslighting
16:26
Speaker 1: that must have occurred. Or maybe not. Maybe Karinia Shulak
16:31
Speaker 1: was willing to look past what Epstein really was because
16:35
Speaker 1: of the benefits it brought her, and unfortunately there's a
16:37
Speaker 1: lot of people like that. How many people in this
16:40
Speaker 1: story especially? All your love and care, my parents, school, apartment,
16:46
Speaker 1: thank you so much for everything. They fought at times
16:50
Speaker 1: over his insistence on having sex with other women in
16:53
Speaker 1: their 20s, including with the small group of assistants who
16:57
Speaker 1: did chores for him, and whom he referred to as
16:59
Speaker 1: his family, according to emails. Some fucking Charles Manson type shit.
17:05
Speaker 1: That's another thing I've said. This dude had a cult
17:08
Speaker 1: around him. That was his goal. Get all those girls
17:12
Speaker 1: believing all kinds of funky shit and thinking that everything
17:15
Speaker 1: he was up to and the stuff his friends were
17:17
Speaker 1: up to was fucking normal. Meanwhile, it was anything but.
17:22
Speaker 1: She was about as normal as Norman Bates. I understand
17:29
Speaker 1: you need it. However, these are the things that don't
17:31
Speaker 1: feel natural to me. It feels somewhat dirty to me,
17:34
Speaker 1: she wrote to him in August of 2012. Nowhere in
17:38
Speaker 1: the Justice Department files that were reviewed by the Times
17:42
Speaker 1: does Dr. Shulak express a broader ethical concern about how
17:46
Speaker 1: he was treating those other women, many of whom would
17:48
Speaker 1: later claim to be victims of his abuse. Instead, she
17:52
Speaker 1: asked Mr. Epstein to keep his relations with those women
17:56
Speaker 1: out of sight. See no evil, hear no evil, speak
18:00
Speaker 1: no evil. And unfortunately, that was the M.O. surrounding Epstein,
18:04
Speaker 1: not just with Shuliac, but with most people. If that
18:09
Speaker 1: is not a lot to ask, please enjoy it, but
18:11
Speaker 1: keep me away from it, she wrote. I will stay
18:14
Speaker 1: with you no matter what, as long as you are happy.
18:16
Speaker 1: I love you. By the time she applied to Columbia
18:23
Speaker 1: in 2012, Dr. Shuliac had overstayed the student visa she
18:26
Speaker 1: had obtained in 2010. In early 2013, Mr. Epstein found
18:32
Speaker 1: a solution to keep her in the country, the files show.
18:36
Speaker 1: Two years earlier, New York became one of the first
18:38
Speaker 1: states to legalize same-sex marriage. Mr. Epstein concluded that a
18:43
Speaker 1: marriage in New York between two women might be the
18:46
Speaker 1: easiest way to gain U.S. citizenship without raising red flags
18:49
Speaker 1: that the marriage was arranged solely to avoid deportation. The
18:54
Speaker 1: marriage hustle. And Jeffrey Epstein was pretty good at it.
18:59
Speaker 1: And it wasn't just the fake marriages. There was a
19:01
Speaker 1: lot of immigration fraud. And my question has always been,
19:06
Speaker 1: who helped him out doing that? Like I said in
19:08
Speaker 1: the earlier episode, he didn't do it on his own.
19:11
Speaker 1: There was somebody in the immigration office. He had a contact, somebody.
19:14
Speaker 1: Who was it? Mr. Epstein chose from the ranks of
19:18
Speaker 1: his assistants, a 30-year-old woman from Minnesota, to be her spouse.
19:23
Speaker 1: Brad Edwards, the lawyer for the woman, said that his
19:26
Speaker 1: client was a victim of Mr. Epstein's and that he
19:29
Speaker 1: could not speak about her situation. But he said that,
19:32
Speaker 1: as a general rule, nobody was permitted or dared to
19:35
Speaker 1: ever disobey Jeffrey Epstein. And, you know, Brad Edwards has
19:40
Speaker 1: really turned heel here, huh? All of a sudden, he's
19:43
Speaker 1: defending all these women that for years he called co-conspirators?
19:47
Speaker 1: Pretty odd to me. And look, I get it. The
19:50
Speaker 1: facts change on the ground. But here's a fact that's
19:52
Speaker 1: never going to change. A lot of those people that
19:55
Speaker 1: he's now representing were allegedly involved in abusing people like Virginia.
20:01
Speaker 1: So I don't know how he squares that circle. The
20:04
Speaker 1: emails show that Mr. Epstein instructed the woman to meet Dr.
20:07
Speaker 1: Shuliac on the morning of September 16th 2013, at the
20:12
Speaker 1: New York City Marriage Bureau. She was told to have
20:14
Speaker 1: her bags packed so she could immediately fly to the
20:17
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands after getting the marriage license, while Dr. Shulak
20:21
Speaker 1: would stay behind to attend her dental school classes. The
20:25
Speaker 1: women were married three weeks later at the office of
20:27
Speaker 1: the city clerk. Photos were taken of the ceremony. Yeah,
20:32
Speaker 1: they had to make it look legit, right? If anyone
20:34
Speaker 1: came asking questions, we have to have some contemporaneous evidence
20:37
Speaker 1: that this is legit, or at least close to being legit.
20:41
Speaker 1: After the wedding, a Brooklyn immigration lawyer working for Mr.
20:44
Speaker 1: Epstein submitted an immigration form stating that the woman wanted
20:49
Speaker 1: to list Dr. Shuliac as her wife and beneficiary. The
20:53
Speaker 1: request was approved and immigration officials dismissed Dr. Shuliac's pending
20:58
Speaker 1: deportation proceedings. Months after the marriage, Dr. Shuliac got a
21:03
Speaker 1: green card making her a lawful resident. Talk about game
21:08
Speaker 1: in the system. My question is how many other girls
21:12
Speaker 1: did this happen to that we don't know about? Girls
21:15
Speaker 1: that weren't as lucky as Karinia Shulak. Outwardly, the marriage
21:20
Speaker 1: had signs of legitimacy. The two women shared an apartment
21:24
Speaker 1: in the Upper East Side building that was partly owned
21:26
Speaker 1: by Mr. Epstein's brother and where Mr. Epstein housed many
21:30
Speaker 1: of his assistants. They had a joint bank account at
21:33
Speaker 1: Deutsche Bank and went on trips together to London, Europe,
21:37
Speaker 1: and Japan. Yeah, accompanying Epstein. doing work for Epstein. In
21:44
Speaker 1: May of 2018, she officially became a U.S. citizen. A
21:48
Speaker 1: year later, Dr. Shulak and her spouse divorced. According to
21:53
Speaker 1: a report released this year by Democrats on the House
21:55
Speaker 1: Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Dr. Shulak's former wife
22:00
Speaker 1: claimed she had been forced into the marriage. The woman,
22:03
Speaker 1: in a statement to the Epstein estate, said she had
22:05
Speaker 1: not known that the wedding had been scheduled just days
22:08
Speaker 1: before Dr. Shulak's deportation hearing. The report concluded that the
22:13
Speaker 1: marriage may have been done to provide Dr. Shulak with
22:16
Speaker 1: the legal basis to continue residing in the United States.
22:20
Speaker 1: It didn't recommend any legal challenge to her citizenship, of
22:23
Speaker 1: course not. Epstein reached out, talked to his buddies, and
22:27
Speaker 1: made sure everything was cool. I met Epstein's girlfriend. In
22:32
Speaker 1: early 2019, Dr. Shuliac and Mr. Epstein seemed every bit
22:35
Speaker 1: the couple. She was living most of the time in
22:38
Speaker 1: his New York mansion and took along her cat, Blueberry,
22:41
Speaker 1: when they traveled together. She had become a licensed dentist
22:45
Speaker 1: in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Florida, and New Mexico after
22:48
Speaker 1: completing dental school in 2015, but there's no evidence that
22:53
Speaker 1: she had much of a practice, even though the files
22:55
Speaker 1: detail dental equipment installed at some of the residences. Instead,
23:00
Speaker 1: she spent much of her energy helping to manage his
23:02
Speaker 1: properties and staff. That was her new role. She took
23:06
Speaker 1: over for Sarah Kellan Vickers and Ghislaine Maxwell. That was
23:09
Speaker 1: the role. Now, was she setting up girls to come in?
23:12
Speaker 1: I don't know. We haven't seen that yet, and she
23:15
Speaker 1: seems a bit jealous, so probably not. But who knows?
23:19
Speaker 1: We have to keep going. We have to dig deeper,
23:21
Speaker 1: and we have to see where the evidence takes us.
23:25
Speaker 1: No task seemed too small. She instructed his drivers to
23:28
Speaker 1: keep cold Voss water in Mr. Epstein's cars. organized a
23:32
Speaker 1: floral installation for his Manhattan mansion, ordered a shipping container
23:36
Speaker 1: filled with outdoor furniture for his island, and managed repairs
23:39
Speaker 1: and cleaning schedules for the Upper East Side apartments that
23:43
Speaker 1: his brother was invested in. In mid-June 2019, the pair
23:48
Speaker 1: traveled to Paris, where Mr. Epstein had an apartment. On
23:52
Speaker 1: July 6, Mr. Epstein returned home to the United States,
23:56
Speaker 1: while Dr. Chuliak remained in Europe. When his plane touched
23:59
Speaker 1: down at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, federal agents were
24:03
Speaker 1: waiting and arrested him. Too little, too late. Bro should
24:08
Speaker 1: have been arrested 20 years ago, and not just arrested,
24:11
Speaker 1: thrown under the prison. About a month and a half
24:15
Speaker 1: after his arrest, in a 20-minute phone call from jail,
24:18
Speaker 1: in lower Manhattan, Mr. Epstein told Dr. Shulak that the
24:21
Speaker 1: federal sex trafficking charges would take longer to resolve than
24:25
Speaker 1: he had thought. He advised her to find another place
24:27
Speaker 1: to stay for the time being, according to an account
24:31
Speaker 1: of the call provided by her lawyer to federal authorities.
24:34
Speaker 1: The lawyer, Maurice Sercars, said he had told her to
24:38
Speaker 1: be strong. The next morning, August 10th, 2019, Mr. Epstein
24:43
Speaker 1: was found to have died by suicide in his jail cell, allegedly.
24:49
Speaker 1: Now look. I am more than willing to accept that
24:51
Speaker 1: it was suicide. But we need more evidence. I mean,
24:54
Speaker 1: when you have Dr. Bodden and several other medical examiners
24:59
Speaker 1: calling out Barbara Sampson Hawk for her job here, for
25:03
Speaker 1: what she said, what she did, I think we have
25:06
Speaker 1: to take note of that. And I think we should
25:08
Speaker 1: pay attention. Shortly before his death, Mr. Epstein amended his
25:13
Speaker 1: will to leave her much of the $ 600 million fortune
25:16
Speaker 1: that he had at the time, including the large diamond
25:19
Speaker 1: ring in contemplation of marriage, according to a handwritten note
25:23
Speaker 1: on a related document. But how much she will actually
25:27
Speaker 1: receive is unclear. The estate is worth between $ 120 million
25:32
Speaker 1: and $ 200 million after paying out large sums to his victims,
25:36
Speaker 1: records show. There are dozens of beneficiaries, in addition to Dr. Shuliac,
25:41
Speaker 1: including Mark Epstein's children, who stand to inherit $ 10 million.
25:45
Speaker 1: Of course they do, and all this money is ill-gotten gains.
25:48
Speaker 1: The money should be seized. If it was a RICO case,
25:51
Speaker 1: the money would have been seized. And that's another reason
25:53
Speaker 1: why it's not a RICO case. People are still getting
25:56
Speaker 1: rich here. And when I say people, I don't mean survivors.
25:59
Speaker 1: And all the jackholes out there saying, oh, it was
26:02
Speaker 1: a big money grab by the survivors. Well, Jeffrey Epstein's
26:05
Speaker 1: nieces or whatever the fuck, they're about to get $ 10 million.
26:10
Speaker 1: And I can assure you, none of the survivors got
26:12
Speaker 1: $ 10 million from Jeffrey Epstein's estate. So take your bitch
26:16
Speaker 1: ass narrative and shove it. Yet despite this potential windfall, Dr.
26:21
Speaker 1: Chuliak did not give up her desire to be a dentist.
26:24
Speaker 1: By 2023, she was back in New York applying for
26:27
Speaker 1: a postdoctoral dental program at Columbia, apparently to fulfill a
26:32
Speaker 1: requirement she needed to obtain a license to practice in
26:35
Speaker 1: the state. The same two dentists who helped her gain
26:38
Speaker 1: admission to Columbia in 2012 once again came to her assistance,
26:42
Speaker 1: according to a copy of her admission file reviewed by
26:45
Speaker 1: the Times. The file shows that Dr. Fine, the dean
26:50
Speaker 1: overseeing Columbia's postgraduate residency program, created a special faculty internship
26:55
Speaker 1: for her at the Midtown Manhattan dental practice he shared
26:58
Speaker 1: with Dr. Magnani. Both men gave her their highest recommendation
27:02
Speaker 1: for the program, which she graduated from in May of 2025,
27:06
Speaker 1: along with six other students. In November, she received her
27:09
Speaker 1: dental license to practice in New York. In the aftermath
27:13
Speaker 1: of the release of the Epstein files, Columbia demoted Dr.
27:16
Speaker 1: Fine and remove Dr. Magnani from his alumni leadership post.
27:21
Speaker 1: The men declined to comment. The university did not recommend
27:25
Speaker 1: any consequences for Dr. Shulak, who it said had met
27:28
Speaker 1: the qualifications for admission. Oh, well, in that case, I'm
27:33
Speaker 1: sure Jeffrey Epstein and his long arm had nothing to
27:36
Speaker 1: do with it. At around the same time she received
27:39
Speaker 1: her New York dental license, Dr. Shulak entered a want
27:42
Speaker 1: ad on Indeed.com for a part-time job as a dentist
27:46
Speaker 1: in downtown Brooklyn. according to a dentist with a practice
27:49
Speaker 1: who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss workplace issues.
27:54
Speaker 1: It was there that Yoon Han Kim, a patient, was
27:58
Speaker 1: treated by her twice for cleaning in December and a
28:01
Speaker 1: filling in February. Ms. Kim said she hadn't realized Dr.
28:05
Speaker 1: Shuliac's true identity until she saw photographs of her released
28:09
Speaker 1: with the Epstein files. Feeling duped because she was not
28:12
Speaker 1: informed of Dr. Shuliac's full name and wanting to warn
28:16
Speaker 1: other patients, she reached out to the Times. Hey, I
28:19
Speaker 1: get it, man. I don't want one of Jeffrey Epstein's
28:22
Speaker 1: Manson family people digging around in my mouth either. I
28:27
Speaker 1: was so upset, Ms. Kim said. I just couldn't believe it.
28:30
Speaker 1: Of all the things that happened to me, I didn't
28:32
Speaker 1: win the lottery. I met Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend. Dr. Shuliac's
28:37
Speaker 1: last day working at the Brooklyn office was February 12th.
28:40
Speaker 1: She was supposed to work on February 16th, but called
28:43
Speaker 1: in sick and never returned. The notoriety from the files
28:48
Speaker 1: probably made it difficult for her to keep working there,
28:51
Speaker 1: the dentist at the practice said. Dr. Shuliac's lawyer declined
28:54
Speaker 1: to say whether she had gotten another dental job, and
28:57
Speaker 1: unfortunately that's the scarlet letter, right? Epstein's girlfriend? Somebody that
29:03
Speaker 1: was that close to him. Somebody that knew what he was.
29:06
Speaker 1: And not only that, but according to the files, according
29:08
Speaker 1: to what we know, she never claimed to be a victim.
29:11
Speaker 1: So she was there willingly. So I could understand why Ms.
29:14
Speaker 1: Kim wants nothing to do with a dentist that was
29:17
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend. I mean, it seems like a quality
29:20
Speaker 1: life decision to me. So I wonder what's going to
29:23
Speaker 1: happen with the money. And I wonder if Shuliac is
29:25
Speaker 1: going to get her share of it. And to that end,
29:28
Speaker 1: like usual, we'll keep an eye on it. And when
29:30
Speaker 1: we have some more information, one way or the other...
29:32
Speaker 1: We'll get that added to the catalog as well. All
29:36
Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
29:39
Speaker 1: in the description. box. What's up everyone and welcome to
29:43
Speaker 1: another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. When it comes to
29:48
Speaker 1: New Mexico and Jeffrey Epstein, we still don't have a
29:51
Speaker 1: firm grasp on exactly what he was up to. Now,
29:55
Speaker 1: we have a few ideas, but the full scope, the
29:59
Speaker 1: true extent, of what he was up to at Zorro
30:01
Speaker 1: Ranch has yet to be revealed. And we're still trying
30:04
Speaker 1: to piece together what exactly happened over the years at
30:08
Speaker 1: Zorro Ranch and just how many people were hurt. Well,
30:12
Speaker 1: now we're learning a little bit more about Jeffrey Epstein's
30:16
Speaker 1: activities in New Mexico. And that also includes his ex-girlfriend,
30:20
Speaker 1: Crinia Shuliac, applying for a dental license for a dental
30:25
Speaker 1: practice in New Mexico. And get this, the name of
30:28
Speaker 1: the practice is Zorro smiles. And where would this practice
30:32
Speaker 1: be located? Well, you guessed it. On the property of
30:37
Speaker 1: Zorro Ranch. Now, this dental practice was never put into play.
30:42
Speaker 1: But the fact that it was even a thought just
30:45
Speaker 1: shows you how deeply entrenched Jeffrey Epstein was in the
30:50
Speaker 1: state of New Mexico. And he really thought that he'd
30:53
Speaker 1: be able to get away with setting up a dental
30:55
Speaker 1: office right on the property of Zorro Ranch. And that's
30:59
Speaker 1: because nobody in the whole ass state really cared what
31:02
Speaker 1: Epstein was up to. And that's because some of the
31:05
Speaker 1: most powerful people in the state were friends with him.
31:10
Speaker 1: I mean, the Kings, the Richardsons, sheriffs, you name it.
31:17
Speaker 1: So of course people are willing to look the other way.
31:20
Speaker 1: And that's been the MO with Epstein for how long?
31:23
Speaker 1: In how many cities? How many states? He ingratiates himself
31:28
Speaker 1: to powerful people And then those powerful people get caught
31:31
Speaker 1: up in his orbit. And before you know it, he's
31:34
Speaker 1: being protected. And we've seen it so many times. And
31:38
Speaker 1: down here in New Mexico, it was obviously happening. Now
31:42
Speaker 1: the question is, will this truth commission be able to
31:45
Speaker 1: get to the bottom of it? And today we have
31:47
Speaker 1: an article from the Santa Fe New Mexican talking about
31:49
Speaker 1: this very topic. Headline, Zorro Smiles. Epstein's girlfriend was a
31:55
Speaker 1: licensed dentist in New Mexico. This article was authored by
31:59
Speaker 1: Clara Bates. Jeffrey Epstein wrote to his girlfriend and assistant
32:05
Speaker 1: in 2016 with a request. Please get oxygen for a
32:09
Speaker 1: dental office, New York and New Mexico, he wrote in
32:12
Speaker 1: an email. One of millions of documents the U.S. Justice
32:15
Speaker 1: Department has released on the sex offender and financier. He
32:19
Speaker 1: also instructed her to travel with anesthetic. And one of
32:23
Speaker 1: the main reasons that Epstein had a dentist on hand
32:26
Speaker 1: and all these doctors in his orbit was because a
32:29
Speaker 1: lot of these girls were being trafficked, and everything had
32:31
Speaker 1: to be done on the hush-hush. You know, like in
32:34
Speaker 1: a TV show, when somebody gets shot, and they take
32:36
Speaker 1: them to a veterinarian, because they can't risk, you know,
32:39
Speaker 1: the authorities knowing what's happening? Same shit. So they have
32:43
Speaker 1: all these other people in play, that can take care
32:46
Speaker 1: of the needs of the girls, without raising any alarms
32:49
Speaker 1: or suspicions. And Krenia Shulak certainly was one of those.
32:55
Speaker 1: She was a dentist, and how many of these girls...
32:58
Speaker 1: did she treat? And how many of those girls might
33:02
Speaker 1: have reported something or a doctor might have seen something
33:06
Speaker 1: if they went to somebody, a medical provider, that wasn't
33:09
Speaker 1: provided by Epstein? The message was directed to Krenia Shuliac,
33:15
Speaker 1: who graduated from dental school in 2015 and promptly applied
33:19
Speaker 1: for licensure in New Mexico and the U.S. Virgin Islands,
33:23
Speaker 1: both sites of Epstein's major properties. Yeah, she wanted to
33:26
Speaker 1: have that Leg up, right? Epstein needed to have a dentist,
33:31
Speaker 1: needed to have somebody to take care of the girl's teeth,
33:34
Speaker 1: and somebody that's not going to ask questions. So who
33:37
Speaker 1: better than somebody that's in on it? I mean, if
33:39
Speaker 1: you're trying to catch a rat, you might as well
33:42
Speaker 1: get a rat catcher. In her application to become licensed
33:46
Speaker 1: in New Mexico obtained by the New Mexican under a
33:49
Speaker 1: public records request, Shuliac proposed that she would practice dentistry
33:53
Speaker 1: from Epstein's southern Santa Fe County ranch. At 49 Zorro
33:57
Speaker 1: Ranch Road. All these people with all these businesses. Everything
34:01
Speaker 1: tied back to Jeffrey Epstein. And still. You know what
34:05
Speaker 1: I'm going to say right? No Rico. Why not? This
34:10
Speaker 1: is obviously. A predicate. This is obviously. Some kind of
34:14
Speaker 1: front operation. Maybe not as far as to launder money.
34:18
Speaker 1: But a front as far as. People's health. And a
34:22
Speaker 1: way to make sure that the girls. That are in
34:24
Speaker 1: Epstein's clutches. Don't have any medical professionals that aren't on
34:28
Speaker 1: the dime taking a look at them. It's really not
34:32
Speaker 1: that difficult to follow. The name of the proposed venture,
34:37
Speaker 1: Shuliac wrote, Zorro Smiles. There's no evidence that Zorro Smiles
34:43
Speaker 1: or any dental practice was formally established at the ranch
34:46
Speaker 1: with Santa Fe County, which requires medical businesses to abide
34:50
Speaker 1: by certain regulations. Yeah, did that stop Epstein down in
34:54
Speaker 1: the USVI where he had the dental chair? Do you
34:57
Speaker 1: really think Jeffrey Epstein of all people cared about your regulations?
35:04
Speaker 1: But a handful of emails released by the Justice Department
35:07
Speaker 1: suggest there was dentistry equipment at Zorro Ranch. Later in 2015,
35:12
Speaker 1: Epstein instructed the ranch manager to unplug a dental chair pump. Look,
35:16
Speaker 1: he was obviously having the girl's teeth fixed. And whether
35:21
Speaker 1: it was Karinia Shulak or somebody else, somebody was doing it.
35:26
Speaker 1: So before Shulak... became a dentist. I'm sure somebody else
35:30
Speaker 1: was involved as far as keeping the girls' teeth clean.
35:33
Speaker 1: We know that he sent girls to Frederick Fakai to
35:36
Speaker 1: get their hair done. And then we hear from Sarah
35:38
Speaker 1: Kellen about what she says Frederick Fakai did to her.
35:42
Speaker 1: So you see the loop here? Epstein had like a
35:45
Speaker 1: closed circuit of people that he could send these girls
35:47
Speaker 1: to that would keep quiet. And he knew they would
35:50
Speaker 1: keep quiet. And that's why he sent them there. Shuliac
35:55
Speaker 1: was licensed as a New Mexico dentist from August 2015
35:59
Speaker 1: around to around 2021, according to public records provided by
36:04
Speaker 1: the New Mexico Board of Dental Health Care. U.S. Justice
36:07
Speaker 1: Department files and public licensure information show she became licensed
36:12
Speaker 1: in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Florida in late 2015. Like,
36:17
Speaker 1: as if things aren't bad enough if you're in the
36:19
Speaker 1: clutches of Epstein. Now he's like, I want you to
36:21
Speaker 1: go sit in this dental chair and look at all
36:23
Speaker 1: these weird ass masks. That has to be reassuring while
36:26
Speaker 1: you're getting your teeth drilled on. A photo of what
36:32
Speaker 1: appears to be a dental office in Epstein's Virgin Island
36:34
Speaker 1: property drew public attention last year. The room features a
36:38
Speaker 1: large yellow dental chair and masks of unidentified men's faces
36:43
Speaker 1: adorning the walls. Released by the House Oversight Committee, the
36:46
Speaker 1: photo came out of a U.S. Virgin Islands government investigation,
36:50
Speaker 1: and that was the Seco case that they had against
36:53
Speaker 1: the estate. and the estate ended up settling with the USVI.
36:59
Speaker 1: Zorro Ranch was not searched by law enforcement in the
37:02
Speaker 1: aftermath of Epstein's arrest, even as several of his other
37:05
Speaker 1: properties were. I wonder why. I'm sure it was just
37:08
Speaker 1: an oversight, right? You see, what had happened was, we
37:11
Speaker 1: meant to raid Zorro Ranch, but we just couldn't find
37:13
Speaker 1: the time. Like, there's no plausible explanation or excuse. If
37:19
Speaker 1: you're going after somebody like Epstein, and you're raiding all
37:22
Speaker 1: of his other mansions, probably a good idea to raid
37:25
Speaker 1: This one too, right? Or maybe the place in Colorado?
37:30
Speaker 1: But I guess that would be too much work for
37:31
Speaker 1: the federal government. We can't have the case expanding now,
37:34
Speaker 1: can we? A New Mexico Legislative Truth Commission investigating Epstein
37:42
Speaker 1: on Friday published a subpoena to the State Regulation and
37:45
Speaker 1: Licensing Department seeking records related to oversight of medical, dental,
37:50
Speaker 1: and ambulance services at the ranch. Commission Chair Andrea Romero said,
37:55
Speaker 1: Democrat from Santa Fe, said in an interview on Friday
37:58
Speaker 1: that it was the first she was hearing about Shuliac's license. Yeah,
38:03
Speaker 1: I never heard that before. I knew she was a dentist,
38:06
Speaker 1: but I didn't know that she was licensed in New Mexico.
38:12
Speaker 1: I had heard about the Virgin Islands, but not New Mexico.
38:17
Speaker 1: And again, look, that's all by design. All of this secrecy,
38:20
Speaker 1: all these shadows, all the obfuscation, everything in New Mexico
38:24
Speaker 1: is by design. We heard about allegations of different medical
38:29
Speaker 1: procedures being done there. People waking up around medical equipment
38:32
Speaker 1: has been alleged quite a bit. And so any information
38:36
Speaker 1: that we can have, and it sounds like you have
38:38
Speaker 1: some more information than we do, would be really interesting
38:41
Speaker 1: to try to pull together what really was going on there,
38:44
Speaker 1: Romero said. Well, look, there's a lot of reports, right?
38:48
Speaker 1: We've heard from a lot of people that they woke
38:51
Speaker 1: up and exactly like Ms. Romero says here, there was
38:54
Speaker 1: medical equipment around. It's like waking up in a fucking
38:58
Speaker 1: alien movie. You're on some kind of table. You're getting
39:01
Speaker 1: anally probed by some little green men. It's the kind
39:04
Speaker 1: of shit that Nightmare Fuel is made of. Bad enough
39:08
Speaker 1: that Jeffrey Epstein was abusing people physically to think that
39:11
Speaker 1: there was some kind of medical nonsense going on as well.
39:16
Speaker 1: That is some very, very dark, dark shit. But it's
39:20
Speaker 1: something that we know Jeffrey Epstein was into. He was
39:23
Speaker 1: into a lot of weird stuff. And I think as
39:25
Speaker 1: more is revealed, we're going to find even weirder shit
39:29
Speaker 1: if you can believe it, that this idiot was up to.
39:34
Speaker 1: Shuliac was listed as the primary beneficiary of Epstein's trust
39:38
Speaker 1: and was his last call from jail before his death.
39:41
Speaker 1: He planned to give her $ 100 million and his home,
39:45
Speaker 1: including the ranch. Why Epstein wanted private dental offices at
39:49
Speaker 1: his properties remains unclear. Well, only for people that don't
39:52
Speaker 1: know what they're talking about. I'll just explain that. The
39:56
Speaker 1: idea was to keep everything on the hush. No medical records,
40:00
Speaker 1: nobody in the system, so they could have their girls
40:03
Speaker 1: that they brought in from Eastern Europe or wherever hidden.
40:08
Speaker 1: That way they can continue to control them. Can't have
40:11
Speaker 1: a medical professional getting in the way, can we? A
40:15
Speaker 1: New York Times report earlier this year found Epstein sought
40:18
Speaker 1: medical care for himself and women around him outside established channels,
40:22
Speaker 1: including from doctors who broke the ethical rules of their professions.
40:26
Speaker 1: In one case, the doctor performed surgery on a girl
40:29
Speaker 1: on Epstein's dining room table. Like I said. And look,
40:34
Speaker 1: all you have to do is follow along with the story,
40:37
Speaker 1: and you realize this is what Epstein was up to.
40:40
Speaker 1: Epstein frequently arranged dental cleanings for the young women he
40:43
Speaker 1: surrounded himself with the Justice Department email show. Although those
40:48
Speaker 1: were at professional dentist office. Yeah, they were for the assistants.
40:52
Speaker 1: People that were already Americans. Not the girls that were
40:55
Speaker 1: being smuggled in under the shroud of them being some
40:57
Speaker 1: kind of model. Then they get here and there's no
41:00
Speaker 1: modeling job for them. Only abuse and misery. Many of
41:06
Speaker 1: the girls Epstein was accused of abusing were from overseas.
41:10
Speaker 1: In one 2013 email, A woman thanked Epstein for sending
41:13
Speaker 1: her to the dentist, saying she had never gotten a
41:16
Speaker 1: teeth cleaning in Lithuania. Shuliac's New Mexico license with the
41:20
Speaker 1: Board of Dental Health Care was approved in a one-line email.
41:24
Speaker 1: Grant K. Sulica, General Dentistry License for the State of
41:28
Speaker 1: New Mexico, then Board Chair Dr. Burrell Tucker, wrote August 12, 2015,
41:34
Speaker 1: misspelling Shuliac's name. The New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department
41:40
Speaker 1: Had no record of complaints against Chuliak. Look, I doubt
41:44
Speaker 1: that she was like practicing, practicing. The whole entire point
41:47
Speaker 1: and idea was to do this for Epstein. Andrea Brown,
41:54
Speaker 1: a spokesperson for the regulation board, said it's not in
41:58
Speaker 1: the board's purview to oversee practice locations. The statute does
42:02
Speaker 1: not include provision to regulate the establishment of a practice location.
42:08
Speaker 1: Various county regulations would apply if Epstein was trying to
42:11
Speaker 1: operate a dental practice out of his property, even if
42:14
Speaker 1: it took up just one room, Santa Fe County spokesperson
42:17
Speaker 1: Shauna Graves said. Well, that would mean that you'd think
42:21
Speaker 1: that Epstein cared about your regulations. He did not. Epstein
42:25
Speaker 1: did what he wanted when he wanted to do it.
42:30
Speaker 1: Graves said the owner would have been required to submit
42:32
Speaker 1: various material for approval to the county, including a home
42:35
Speaker 1: occupation license if a limited area in the home was
42:39
Speaker 1: being used for a dental practice. County records show no
42:42
Speaker 1: application for a dental business license or any reference to
42:46
Speaker 1: a dental practice at the property in a development or
42:49
Speaker 1: a business license application, she said. There's no record of
42:53
Speaker 1: Zorro Smiles or that it was ever registered as a
42:55
Speaker 1: company with the Secretary of State's office, a spokesperson confirmed. Yeah, look,
43:01
Speaker 1: it was all for Epstein and to keep the girls
43:04
Speaker 1: off the radar. That's what it comes down to. The
43:07
Speaker 1: Truth Commission has so far published 20 subpoenas. It's issued
43:10
Speaker 1: to public and private institutions, including the one to a
43:14
Speaker 1: regulation agency, which requests documents related to regulatory oversight of
43:19
Speaker 1: medical services, dental services, and ambulance services, along with permits
43:24
Speaker 1: and related files. The subpoenas don't name Shuliac. Emails released
43:29
Speaker 1: by the Justice Department earlier this year show Epstein's interest
43:33
Speaker 1: in medical self-sufficiency extended to purchasing a private ambulance for
43:37
Speaker 1: the ranch. On June 2015, he began seeking information on
43:42
Speaker 1: two fully equipped ambulances for the island and ranch, according
43:46
Speaker 1: to an email written by Shuliac, who served as one
43:49
Speaker 1: of Epstein's assistants. He paid $ 50, 684 for an ambulance in
43:55
Speaker 1: early 2016, an invoice in the Justice Department file shows,
44:00
Speaker 1: which included a medical cot, defibrillator, and a 100-pound oxygen tank.
44:06
Speaker 1: Ambulance will read, Zorro Ambulance on all three sides, Epstein's
44:10
Speaker 1: accountant wrote to him, finalizing the purchase. Epstein also purchased
44:15
Speaker 1: an ambulance for the U.S. Virgin Islands property record show. Well,
44:19
Speaker 1: that's not weird. The fuck do you need an ambulance for? Unless,
44:24
Speaker 1: of course, you're up to no good. And as we
44:26
Speaker 1: all know, Jeffrey Epstein was certainly up to no good.
44:30
Speaker 1: So it's going to be real interesting to see what
44:32
Speaker 1: this commission comes up with. And if they find anything else...
44:35
Speaker 1: that might not have been known previously. So until then,
44:39
Speaker 1: we'll keep on keeping on, and we'll be here every
44:42
Speaker 1: step of the way. All the information that goes with
44:45
Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box.
