And Noah Builded an Altar unto the LORD

What was the first thing Noah did when he came out of the ark (Genesis 8:20)? Read the verse and ask whether God told him to build that altar, or whether he went to it of his own heart. Then ask why God had told him to take the clean beasts "by sevens" (Genesis 7:2), long before the flood came. "And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar." (Genesis 8:20)
