- 0:20Speaker 2: Judge Ross is gonna tell us. And if you.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Suddenly accuse your neighbor of abusing your kids, will Judge
- 0:27Speaker 1: Joe Brown care? Oh?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Real people cases, say justice? This is yo gabble gabble
- 0:35Speaker 2: s all right? Couldn't it stop and do a different one? There?
- 0:40Speaker 2: I didn't know it was going there until it did.
- 0:46Speaker 2: I mean, but if this was Bramblefest, you would have
- 0:47Speaker 2: just you'd have done another.
- 0:49Speaker 1: One one everyone knows you do firstonal injury corp fest. Yes,
- 0:54Speaker 1: every year, one of us say, is last year you
- 0:56Speaker 1: did it? It's my year?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Right?
- 0:58Speaker 1: Doing a ross?
- 0:59Speaker 2: And you can't stop me? I got ross this week?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Can I go? Or do we want to? I love Ross?
- 1:05Speaker 1: And then at least people get a good case that's right,
- 1:06Speaker 1: and then they can stop.
- 1:07Speaker 2: He doesn't want you to understand. He wants to stop overstanding.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Oh did he say it again?
- 1:11Speaker 2: He did? Sure did. Sydney Callahan is suing her mom,
- 1:15Speaker 2: Tracy Callahan. Not that Tracy for three thousand, seven hundred
- 1:19Speaker 2: and fifty dollars suing her What who? Mom? She's suing
- 1:24Speaker 2: her mom? Yeah? Did you not hear my intro?
- 1:26Speaker 1: No, I was too busy focus on the fact that
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm going to talk about child.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Like it's all right. I thought you were an active listener,
- 1:32Speaker 2: but I guess.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I was thinking about abuse.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're the victim here one of them. She's
- 1:43Speaker 2: suing her mom. Yeah? For how much?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Three thousand, seven hundred and fifty dollars. Dang, she spent
- 1:48Speaker 1: that much in diapers?
- 1:49Speaker 2: Bro Sydney, Oh, here we go. Sidney Callian says, I'm
- 1:52Speaker 2: suing my mom because of her immature behavior and it
- 1:54Speaker 2: got it got me kicked out of our neighborhood country club.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Mom is like, oh goes, oh my god, just like that.
- 2:02Speaker 2: A Ross is like, you know why you're here, ma'am?
- 2:06Speaker 2: Why are you shocked? Which is one of my first Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 2: Tracy's like, your honor. My daughter's ashamed of me, says
- 2:17Speaker 2: did she tell you she's ashamed of you? She's like no,
- 2:19Speaker 2: but her actions did. I'm just being myself. I think
- 2:22Speaker 2: she might be embarrassed to me because I'm a very
- 2:24Speaker 2: outspoken person. I have a couple of cocktails here and there,
- 2:27Speaker 2: but I'm not alcoholic. I become more outspoken when I
- 2:31Speaker 2: drink that when I do love to flirt, Sydney says,
- 2:34Speaker 2: it's just unnecessary, your honor. She's over the top with
- 2:37Speaker 2: the flirting and it's with everyone. I can't go anywhere
- 2:40Speaker 2: with her. She's a mess irrespective of race, age, it
- 2:44Speaker 2: doesn't matter who the dude is. She's flirting with him.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And she flirted with my boyfriend at Christmas dinner one
- 2:51Speaker 2: time and then we had to break up. Ross is like, really,
- 2:55Speaker 2: Tracy's like, your honor, I was trying to get rid
- 2:56Speaker 2: of him, That's what I was doing. I was trying
- 2:58Speaker 2: to get rid of the boyfriend Ross's by flirting with him.
- 3:01Speaker 2: She was like, yes, Sidney was like when I went
- 3:04Speaker 2: off to college, everything between us was really crazy and
- 3:07Speaker 2: all I heard all the time was how she was
- 3:09Speaker 2: sacrificing the finance college for me. She never let me
- 3:12Speaker 2: forget it. Sure and Ros says, well, that sounds like
- 3:15Speaker 2: a parent to me. Parents putting you through college, they
- 3:18Speaker 2: can tell you what they're doing. They're putting you through college,
- 3:20Speaker 2: that's what they're doing. And and Sidney's like, well, she
- 3:24Speaker 2: used to like get she used that excuse as to
- 3:28Speaker 2: why she would do some of these appropriate, inappropriate things.
- 3:31Speaker 2: But her behavior and immaturity towards the people in my
- 3:34Speaker 2: life was absolutely uncalled for, and I lost my place.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I love that though, for you and for and I
- 3:43Speaker 2: want that day when I so one day we'll get
- 3:46Speaker 2: back to it. I promise, so uh, and she's like,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you're on her. I do realize she had me when
- 3:49Speaker 2: she was very young, and it's kind of her time
- 3:51Speaker 2: to not have a kid anymore. And I understand that,
- 3:53Speaker 2: and I try to like empathize with that. Is she
- 3:56Speaker 2: complaining about putting your kid through college? She just kept
- 3:59Speaker 2: reminding that I do that. Yeah, but that was before
- 4:02Speaker 2: she joined the country club. She's just painting a picture.
- 4:04Speaker 2: So then Tracy says, no, that's not me, that's not
- 4:07Speaker 2: who I am, your honor. I walked into her country
- 4:10Speaker 2: club and all I saw was baywatch men everywhere. I
- 4:14Speaker 2: work hard all day long. I put my child through school.
- 4:17Speaker 2: This is my time, it's my season to enjoy my life.
- 4:20Speaker 2: So yeah, I'm talking it up with all these fine men,
- 4:24Speaker 2: the workers, the other guest whoever. To me, I'm just
- 4:27Speaker 2: being friendly. That's right, that's right, Sidney says, Well, I
- 4:30Speaker 2: received a complaint from the management saying the staff was
- 4:33Speaker 2: uncomfortable with my mother flirting with them. Uh then the
- 4:37Speaker 2: second pool boy, Yeah, yeah, says the fall wells Anyway, Uh.
- 4:42Speaker 2: She also had an episode at the country club dining
- 4:45Speaker 2: area where she was called out for her swimwear because
- 4:48Speaker 2: she didn't meet the dress code, and she refused, they
- 4:50Speaker 2: refused to serve her dinner. Tray. Tracy was like, your honor.
- 4:54Speaker 2: She pays a lot of money for this place. I
- 4:56Speaker 2: had to cover up on and I can't help it
- 4:58Speaker 2: if I'm stacked in certain places. And and Ross is like,
- 5:03Speaker 2: why are you letting your mom into the country club
- 5:08Speaker 2: if this is an ongoing problem? And Sydney said, well
- 5:12Speaker 2: because initially, like when we when this started, we had
- 5:15Speaker 2: a conversation about it, and I want to, like she
- 5:18Speaker 2: always tells me she put me through school, and I
- 5:20Speaker 2: want her to have the benefit of this really nice
- 5:21Speaker 2: country club.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And every listen, every kid wants to take any of
- 5:25Speaker 1: their parents one day, you know, try to help them,
- 5:27Speaker 1: give back to them because they gave.
- 5:28Speaker 2: So much for them. Yeah. So she's like Ross like, well,
- 5:32Speaker 2: how much did it cost? And she's like, seventy five
- 5:33Speaker 2: hundred dollars for a year, So pretty expense. Seventy one
- 5:37Speaker 2: hundred dollars for a year, and I got kicked out.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Quick math and tell me what that is a month?
- 5:40Speaker 2: It's like eight hundred dollars a month. Yes, I mean
- 5:42Speaker 2: it's no, it's so it's less than that. Six hundred
- 5:44Speaker 2: would be seventy two. So yeah, six six and some change.
- 5:47Speaker 2: All right, So there you go, six twenty five, six
- 5:50Speaker 2: thirty and basically I got kicked out halfway through and
- 5:54Speaker 2: they didn't give me a refund. That's why it's thirty
- 5:56Speaker 2: seven to fifty.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That's the number, So damn should Rosbie's like, so, they said,
- 6:01Speaker 1: because of your guest and her actions, you can't use
- 6:05Speaker 1: your membership and you did not get a refund.
- 6:07Speaker 2: She said, that's correct. She goes, did was that in
- 6:10Speaker 2: a contract? She says yes? And rossaid, did you understand
- 6:13Speaker 2: that contract when you signed it? She says yes, So.
- 6:16Speaker 1: What does say in the contract? Just says we have
- 6:19Speaker 1: the right. Basically, we don't have the contract in the
- 6:21Speaker 1: court room.
- 6:21Speaker 2: But she goes, your honor, what I didn't count on
- 6:24Speaker 2: was uh, she basically had sex with one of the employees. Okay, yeah, uh.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Tracy is like, uh, your honor. It was the fourth
- 6:38Speaker 2: of July. So it was the fourth of July and
- 6:41Speaker 2: I was at the club. I had two drinks. She
- 6:46Speaker 2: was complaining about me being vulgar, and she told me
- 6:48Speaker 2: to go home. And so I'm leaving and as I'm
- 6:51Speaker 2: walking out the door, lo and behold he's standing there.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I love how the mom is not like, it's not
- 6:59Speaker 2: that bad. I'm brave, I'm free, I'm who I'm meant
- 7:03Speaker 2: to be. She is like very much like yeah. She's
- 7:07Speaker 2: like so then Ross is like, so, were you making
- 7:10Speaker 2: out or having sex? Tracy says nothing. Ross is like,
- 7:13Speaker 2: there's your answer. At the country club. At the country
- 7:16Speaker 2: club with an employee, an employee get fired. We don't know.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Ross is ready to rule? Whoa Ross is ready to rule?
- 7:26Speaker 2: This is tough. This is tough. I don't know if.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You can't do this. And I mean that about suing
- 7:38Speaker 1: her for this and also what the mom did. Don't
- 7:41Speaker 1: know if he can do that.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I'm not going to give her any money.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I think her dispute is with you know, obviously, she
- 7:54Speaker 1: just wants half of her money back. That she spent.
- 7:57Speaker 1: But at the end of the end of the day,
- 7:59Speaker 1: it was your idea to bring your mom. You are
- 8:02Speaker 1: taking on that risk of a guest doing something that could,
- 8:08Speaker 1: in theory, get you kicked out of the country clip.
- 8:10Speaker 2: You know the rules. You have to have your guests
- 8:12Speaker 2: under control.
- 8:13Speaker 1: If you were concerned about your mom doing that, and
- 8:16Speaker 1: she gave you plenty of reasons to be concerned about
- 8:18Speaker 1: her getting out of control, you shouldn't have brought her
- 8:20Speaker 1: with you. I think this ultimately comes down to it's
- 8:23Speaker 1: your You chose to bring your mom.
- 8:26Speaker 2: She doesn't have to give any money.
- 8:27Speaker 1: That's what I would say.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Boss Ross is with you. Yeah, yeah, he says, the
- 8:32Speaker 2: gal was gonna have to come down in favor of
- 8:33Speaker 2: the defendant, and the reason is because, ma'am, you don't
- 8:37Speaker 2: have a contractual relationship with your mom. That's right.
- 8:40Speaker 1: The contract you sign isn't with your mom, it's with
- 8:43Speaker 1: the country club. You knew the rules, you signed the contract.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Your mom didn't have to come. You let her come anyway.
- 8:48Speaker 1: That is not a contract. You were responsible for the
- 8:51Speaker 1: contract you signed, and your your mom's behavior.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Is attached to that. No money. It was a fun time.
- 8:58Speaker 1: That does sound like a really fun time. This mom
- 9:00Speaker 1: also sounds awesome. She was, she sounds like she.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Never just like like, I don't know what the big
- 9:05Speaker 2: deal is, so I'm having sex with employees like whatever,
- 9:08Speaker 2: it was great. Lo and behold, lo and behold, he's there.
- 9:11Speaker 2: That's exactly right. Let's take a break. Let's take a break.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Are they standing the whole time? First? I know, well,
- 9:25Speaker 2: all we can stay seated. All means we're leaving. So
- 9:28Speaker 2: we say all rise when the judge, so you may
- 9:31Speaker 2: stand again for the break because we're taking a break.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Stay seated, you yeah, you stay seated, Remain seated. That's
- 9:41Speaker 2: how we should comb guys. We're having a good time.
- 9:44Speaker 1: So that I want to.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Stand for the first case and sit for the second,
- 9:47Speaker 2: and you're gonna want to sit for this one. It's
- 9:48Speaker 2: not this is this isn't why we came.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I said, let's go to Joe Brown.
- 9:54Speaker 2: It's been a while. You never know what he's gonna say.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Amber Hampton is suing.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Melinda Yes for they don't actually say how much at
- 10:09Speaker 1: the beginning of this yes, yes, yes, yes, sir, I
- 10:14Speaker 1: don't actually know how much at the beginning of the case.
- 10:16Speaker 1: They throw out some numbers so you can try to
- 10:19Speaker 1: piece it together during the case, but they don't say
- 10:22Speaker 1: it up from Amberhampton is the wife of a military man.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I think he's in the Air Force. An airman, an airman,
- 10:30Speaker 2: not a she is way, it's found.
- 10:37Speaker 1: It's never not funny, and you know it in your
- 10:39Speaker 1: heart of hearts, you know that it's funny. Is he
- 10:42Speaker 1: a pianist, Well, it wouldn't that be something A seman
- 10:45Speaker 1: who's a penis whoa, it's funny. We're having fun. Uh.
- 10:51Speaker 1: She is a in scores at all.
- 10:53Speaker 2: A daisies, roses, peonies. Yeah.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So she is in school for nurse I'm glad we're
- 11:05Speaker 1: still having fun.
- 11:07Speaker 2: She is in school for nursing, and.
- 11:10Speaker 1: She wants to make some extra money, extra money, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 1: to continue to help get her through college and stuff.
- 11:17Speaker 1: The military doesn't pay. Well, he's the moral of the story.
- 11:19Speaker 1: And so she puts at flyers around the housing that
- 11:24Speaker 1: they it's like an apartment or whatever, offering babysitting services
- 11:28Speaker 1: to help make some extra money. And she gets a
- 11:30Speaker 1: call from Melinda, who lives nearby in the same apartment complex,
- 11:33Speaker 1: asking her to watch her kids for a couple hours
- 11:35Speaker 1: after school. Each day until she gets home from work.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Seems fair enough. They agree ten dollars an hour is
- 11:43Speaker 1: what she's going to be making. And Amber says that
- 11:47Speaker 1: she was told that she didn't have to meet them
- 11:50Speaker 1: at the bus stop when they get home.
- 11:52Speaker 2: They know how to make their way there.
- 11:53Speaker 1: But she started to notice that she would walk down
- 11:55Speaker 1: and get mail and she see the kids like messing
- 11:58Speaker 1: with the gate. Do that. She see the kids walking
- 12:01Speaker 1: down the middle of the road. I'm not supposed to
- 12:03Speaker 1: do that, So she would just like not letting them
- 12:07Speaker 1: know that she's meeting them, but just like she'd go
- 12:09Speaker 1: down there, keep an eye on, make sure they're coming safely,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and if there was something going on, she'd just be like, hey, guys,
- 12:14Speaker 1: right here, one of those things.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Just trying to keep the kids safe. Yes, keep is
- 12:18Speaker 2: what you need to know, and maybe give them a
- 12:20Speaker 2: little bit of structure. Military.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So she was also told that she was going to
- 12:27Speaker 1: have snacks for the kids provided by Melinda, and Melinda
- 12:31Speaker 1: did that at first, and then eventually she stops supplying snacks. Boy,
- 12:36Speaker 1: and so Amber would she offered, Hey, if you just
- 12:42Speaker 1: give me some money, I'll go and get snacks. I
- 12:44Speaker 1: could keep them here she never did that, and she
- 12:47Speaker 1: just said give them water basically, and she's like, they're
- 12:49Speaker 1: here for four hours, they need a snack. So she
- 12:51Speaker 1: started giving them snacks out of her own pocket. Wow,
- 12:55Speaker 1: not like the snacks are in the pocket money. Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: she didn't have a.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Pocket phone, am I you listen, you don't know.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I would love a snack pocket, a pocket that's just
- 13:08Speaker 1: always full of snacks. It's not bad. Let's work out,
- 13:12Speaker 1: we'll get that. So that's that's happening. And uh, Amber
- 13:18Speaker 1: was just really frustrated, like why wouldn't you just let
- 13:20Speaker 1: me go get snacks for you kids and just reimburse.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And Melina's whole thing is like I didn't want to
- 13:24Speaker 1: inconvenience you, and I wasn't able to get to the
- 13:26Speaker 1: store because you know, I get home and then I
- 13:28Speaker 1: have to get the kids down, and then how am
- 13:30Speaker 1: I supposed to go to the store. Basically, I don't
- 13:31Speaker 1: know she never go to the store. Don't know that information.
- 13:35Speaker 1: But anyway, she's basically just like, uh, Melinda was doing
- 13:38Speaker 1: nothing and her kids were hungry. It is basically what's
- 13:41Speaker 1: happening here? And Joe Brown's like this is some pretty
- 13:44Speaker 1: uh pretty uh disappointing stuff here and uh it bothers me.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Now, uh what now you mean to tell me?
- 13:55Speaker 1: So what's this here? It says something about spring break?
- 13:59Speaker 1: So great question, and Joe, thank you. Melinda says, hey,
- 14:04Speaker 1: spring break is coming up. I need somewhere for the
- 14:07Speaker 1: kids to go all day while I'm at work during
- 14:09Speaker 1: spring break. I can't do ten dollars an hour? Would
- 14:13Speaker 1: you be able to do a flat rate? And they
- 14:15Speaker 1: agree on two hundred and fifty dollars, which is down
- 14:17Speaker 1: from three to sixty that she would be making if
- 14:19Speaker 1: she was hourly.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Okay, pretty big discount. Yeah yeah, two fifty for the week.
- 14:25Speaker 1: But she says, Melinda already owed her forty five dollars
- 14:30Speaker 1: and spring break came. Spring break went never paid her
- 14:33Speaker 1: that money. The two point fifty never paid her to
- 14:36Speaker 1: the forty five dollars either. Okay, so she told her,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I'm not watching your kids anymore.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah. See.
- 14:44Speaker 1: The problem then becomes and here's the sadder part of
- 14:47Speaker 1: this story is that after she stopped babysitting, the kids
- 14:52Speaker 1: would still come over anytime something happened, like they would
- 14:57Speaker 1: they would get hurt.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Like it was a head injury.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Melinda's like they fell off the bed, hit their head.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Joe Brown's like, not so sure about this. There is
- 15:09Speaker 1: subtle accusations of child abuse from Melinda towards Melinda. Oh yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 1: by Amber, by Amber, and Judge Joe like, how has
- 15:17Speaker 1: the police not been called? I don't know, but Judge
- 15:19Speaker 1: Joe Brown's ready to rule nobody. Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And then she's like, hey, the kids are basically now
- 15:25Speaker 1: running around the apartment complex. And she's like, no, they're
- 15:27Speaker 1: going to friend's house. I know where they are all
- 15:29Speaker 1: the time. Blah blah blah. Dude, yeah, give her the money,
- 15:31Speaker 1: give her all the money. Gives her the money. It's
- 15:33Speaker 1: four hundred and five dollars great, I don't know, plus
- 15:36Speaker 1: cor cost plus core cost thirty five it was it
- 15:39Speaker 1: was two fifty plus forty five. That's two ninety five
- 15:42Speaker 1: maybe three sixty plus forty five. Yeah, so hey, you
- 15:45Speaker 1: gotta pay. Oh you gotta pay the fuld full of six?
- 15:47Speaker 1: Oh wow, gets you?
- 15:49Speaker 2: Joe?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Uh so, yeah, tough, tough would like to go hug
- 15:55Speaker 1: my children. But her husband's not a seaman. And we did, yes,
- 16:01Speaker 1: we all need to know that he's an orant, he's
- 16:03Speaker 1: an airman.
- 16:04Speaker 2: We did.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Everybody congratulations. We'll be back next week with two more cases.
- 16:08Speaker 1: It's gonna be a lot of fun. Trust us. I
