- 0:00Speaker 1: Down at the corner.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Ready ar chanell Way John got stories and wisdom, our
- 0:09Speaker 2: chiseling ower of the charge, deal down the corner.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Ch you just get all the names and now you're
- 0:23Speaker 1: draz bar. But let's go right into this. We're gonna
- 0:28Speaker 1: have a ton of fun with this one. What's going on? Everybody?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I am the one, the only, the w O O K.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I E joined here by two of the four three four.
- 0:39Speaker 1: There's two people here we're missing, We're missing a misfit.
- 0:42Speaker 1: We have the PhD of KeyForge, doctor sheet.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'm definitely not a PhD of KeyForge.
- 0:51Speaker 1: He is the PhD of bullshit and the newly christened
- 0:55Speaker 1: we have knighted him now dras Boar here I am.
- 1:04Speaker 1: So we did a thing this weekend. A bunch of
- 1:06Speaker 1: us got together to play some non key Forge games.
- 1:11Speaker 1: KeyForge friends playing non KeyForge things. It was a blast.
- 1:17Speaker 1: We had a bunch of board games all around everywhere,
- 1:21Speaker 1: little over stimulating. I'm not gonna lie because it was
- 1:25Speaker 1: what do we play next? And I'm as you're playing
- 1:28Speaker 1: that game, You're already like, what's the next game we play?
- 1:31Speaker 1: I don't know, because that's kind of how it went.
- 1:35Speaker 3: You had I stayed focused on the games I was playing, and.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Maybe that's why I took second in most of my
- 1:40Speaker 1: games and I won because well, to be fair, let's
- 1:45Speaker 1: be fair on this one. I would bet I'm gonna
- 1:49Speaker 1: put a percentage on this, and you can give me
- 1:51Speaker 1: the over under. I would bet you own maybe eighty
- 1:55Speaker 1: percent of the games that were there.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Would be over by about seventy five.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Really that much it owned.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I owned the box of games I brought, which were
- 2:12Speaker 3: no duplicates really, and of the games that got played,
- 2:16Speaker 3: we played my ark Nova. Yep, that was it.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Huh okay, well yeah, and.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I didn't own the game. All the other games that
- 2:25Speaker 3: were played I do not own.
- 2:27Speaker 1: There was just a lot. And you know, I am
- 2:30Speaker 1: one I've never met a board game I didn't like.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Maybe I just haven't met it yet. But it was like, oh, yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 1: that one looks cool. That one looks cool. But we
- 2:40Speaker 1: played a bunch of games. We had a bunch of fun.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Drazcre has now been renamed draz Bore because at some
- 2:49Speaker 1: point in the weekend written poorly. Yeah, some point in
- 2:53Speaker 1: the weekend we decided to start, I guess like keeping
- 2:58Speaker 1: tally of the wins and the winner of the weekend
- 3:01Speaker 1: was doctor Sheep. There's an asterisk. We should definitely talk
- 3:06Speaker 1: about the astroisk. Continue your story. No asterisk, there's an asterix,
- 3:10Speaker 1: but we'll get into that. We'll get into that. But
- 3:14Speaker 1: we had a ton of we kept track of who
- 3:16Speaker 1: won what you were tied. It was a straight four,
- 3:21Speaker 1: it was a four four or five five. Both you
- 3:23Speaker 1: have five wins.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Five.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Doctor Sheep does have a little bit of asterisk on
- 3:28Speaker 1: wind span. We're not one hundred percent sure where all
- 3:31Speaker 1: those wing span worm span worm span. Sorry, And I
- 3:37Speaker 1: was definitely winning, and then suddenly Shep's like, wait a second,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I've got a point over here. Oh wait, I've got
- 3:42Speaker 1: a point over here. Oh wait, I've got a point.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Oh look at that I won.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Oh wait, I have a point in my pocket. The
- 3:51Speaker 3: score was coming up tied, and then I realized I
- 3:55Speaker 3: missed an egg and a tucked card because there are
- 3:59Speaker 3: a lot of bowl crap pieces in that game. And
- 4:03Speaker 3: I'd been sleeping four hours a night, and I had
- 4:06Speaker 3: been drinking. So you lost to a drunk zombie sheep.
- 4:09Speaker 1: So I mean I was pretty drunk too, So you know, yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I mean, who wasn't drunk at three o'clock in the
- 4:15Speaker 1: afternoon there, I think almost, well maybe not.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Walk was not drunk, and he did not win.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I took second, and I don't remember again, I know
- 4:25Speaker 1: somebody already told me the name of the pyramid game.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I did lose on a kind of yeah. I did
- 4:32Speaker 1: lose to a BS random flip from the top of
- 4:36Speaker 1: the deck. Wild. I lost to wild Wormhole in multiple games. Now,
- 4:42Speaker 1: thank you, wild worm hoole worst card in the game.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And I took second in thunder Road due to due
- 4:50Speaker 1: to sheep. Thanks sheep.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Well that's I finished kicking draz boards ass at Wormspan.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I let let him think he was doing good and
- 5:02Speaker 3: then I put the dail on the coffin and he
- 5:03Speaker 3: got all salty about it, and come over and teach
- 5:06Speaker 3: you guys how to actually play the road. We were
- 5:09Speaker 3: doing just fine rule set, and I can most of
- 5:14Speaker 3: a rule set.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And I'm not you Walk scort way worse than the
- 5:18Speaker 1: both of us. But you know, I'm not sure who
- 5:21Speaker 1: won Blood on the clock Tower. That's what it was called, right,
- 5:25Speaker 1: murder me, Yeah, you lost. I don't know if we
- 5:30Speaker 1: all share that victory.
- 5:31Speaker 3: When you make a bunch of key Forge players play
- 5:34Speaker 3: these social deduction. Half of us try to just play
- 5:37Speaker 3: math yep, and not social deduction. Yeah, that's one hundred
- 5:41Speaker 3: percent how it went down. I'm just there to play
- 5:45Speaker 3: the math.
- 5:45Speaker 1: But you guys looked at you guys were obviously that
- 5:48Speaker 1: you guys went there Thursday and Friday. I didn't get
- 5:50Speaker 1: down until Saturday. You guys look like you had a
- 5:53Speaker 1: good time. Looks like you guys went to a ramen
- 5:55Speaker 1: chop so on so Wednesday, I do think they had
- 6:01Speaker 1: ramen on Wednesday. I came in Wednesday evening, but I
- 6:05Speaker 1: landed like late, like after dinner. It's time for the bars,
- 6:08Speaker 1: but not in time for dinner. So, but you were
- 6:13Speaker 1: in time for the most important part, which was worlelyball.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's whorlelyball, right, not whirldball.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, as wor ball.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So I explained some of us have not I know
- 6:24Speaker 1: of wordlyball. I have never played worllyball. Explain to those
- 6:28Speaker 1: of us who don't know what it is, exactly what
- 6:30Speaker 1: it is. So so I had never heard of this before.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And so he's like, we're gonna do this thing. I
- 6:36Speaker 1: was like a whatever, Like I was like, sure, I'll
- 6:38Speaker 1: do it. Because people are doing it, But I wasn't
- 6:40Speaker 1: like excited excited, I guess until I got there and
- 6:44Speaker 1: started doing it, I was like, holy crap, this is
- 6:46Speaker 1: the greatest thing ever. So basically what happens is you
- 6:51Speaker 1: get you get into this room with this and m
- 6:57Speaker 1: they electrify the floor. It's it's they're describing this in
- 7:02Speaker 1: the right order. So you get into this room, they
- 7:03Speaker 1: electrify the floor. You grab these like they look like
- 7:09Speaker 1: they're a little bit like a cross. They're more like
- 7:11Speaker 1: highli because they're like short sticks with like a scoop
- 7:14Speaker 1: in them, right, And then you climb in bumper cars.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You drive around this electrified floor with your scoop, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: then uh, there's like targets sort of like basketball backboards,
- 7:29Speaker 1: almost like hanging off the wall, but with a target,
- 7:32Speaker 1: not a net. And then there's a whiffle ball and
- 7:35Speaker 1: you're driving around, running into each other scooping up this
- 7:39Speaker 1: wiffle ball, trying to pass it to each other, trying
- 7:41Speaker 1: to shoot it into the targets and score points for
- 7:44Speaker 1: your team. And it was an absolute blast. It was
- 7:49Speaker 1: like way more fun than I thought it was going
- 7:52Speaker 1: to be, just you know, ramming your you know ramming
- 7:56Speaker 1: your friend and then going and shooting and uh, you know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: it's a wiffle ball, so weird things happen, so it
- 8:03Speaker 1: doesn't go to the direction you think it's gonna go.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And then it was. It was a really good time.
- 8:10Speaker 3: You're not supposed to play swords, a good tactics definitely
- 8:14Speaker 3: just whacked the other person's racket thing out of there.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yep, totally. So I'm not sure where Bloomington
- 8:20Speaker 1: and Maple Grove are in comparison to Roseville, but there
- 8:25Speaker 1: are two Whirlie Balls locations that we could in Minnesota.
- 8:31Speaker 1: In Minnesota, all right, let me get the maps out,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you get the maps out. But so just this so
- 8:39Speaker 1: this weekend has really started an itch in me. Right,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I've got this itch to play more board games now.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So if you are in our discord, which everyone here
- 8:49Speaker 1: right now is, go check out down below. I will
- 8:52Speaker 1: be switching the gaming section. How much forging. Not a
- 8:58Speaker 1: single key was forged this week. We did get key
- 9:02Speaker 1: forge keys that were especially designed for each of us,
- 9:07Speaker 1: which is awesome, but no keys were forged. But I
- 9:13Speaker 1: will be changing down in the section down below, which
- 9:16Speaker 1: used to be just a gaming section. It was for
- 9:19Speaker 1: like all other games. I'm going to change that into
- 9:22Speaker 1: a board gaming section. If none of you have heard
- 9:26Speaker 1: of it. BGA Board Game Arena is a place where
- 9:29Speaker 1: you can play tons and tons of board games for free,
- 9:33Speaker 1: or you can give them like eight bucks a month
- 9:35Speaker 1: and you get to play even more board games and
- 9:38Speaker 1: invite your friends and all that. I just found a
- 9:41Speaker 1: game on here. It's called sheep Boomba. It's in beta,
- 9:48Speaker 1: so maybe we'll play sheep Boomba. But you can go
- 9:51Speaker 1: down there play all sorts of different board games, you know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: connect with friends on this server, maybe invite some of
- 9:58Speaker 1: your friends from other servers, and you can play a
- 10:01Speaker 1: bunch of board games. So that's going to turn into
- 10:03Speaker 1: the board game section down there. I think it's just
- 10:06Speaker 1: it's a ton of fun. I had more fun than
- 10:10Speaker 1: I've had in a long time, not forging keys, alcohol
- 10:14Speaker 1: was involved. But you know what isn't it with us?
- 10:19Speaker 3: Warlely Ball is twenty miles away from the game center? Uh?
- 10:24Speaker 1: Time doable? I would say, aw is that in time?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Is it mostly highway.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Twenty two to thirty minutes depending?
- 10:31Speaker 1: Totally doable? Totally doable?
- 10:33Speaker 3: It was actually like, what's surprising about the worry Ball
- 10:37Speaker 3: is it's uh, it was five on five, but they
- 10:41Speaker 3: actually just because it's a corporate event place, it's like
- 10:44Speaker 3: two hundred and fifty bucks to get the court for
- 10:46Speaker 3: two hours, so it's not even crazy expensive, right.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So I mean, I don't know what that comes down to.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Let's get bust out the old tech people. Beer by ten,
- 10:58Speaker 1: so that's what twenty five bucks an hour for a
- 10:59Speaker 1: cup hours.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Two hours, so it's like twelve fifteen hour.
- 11:03Speaker 1: There you go, twelve fifteen hour. Yeah, and like and
- 11:07Speaker 1: they serve beer there and stuff. Now, they did yell
- 11:10Speaker 1: at me when I tried to take my beer into
- 11:12Speaker 1: your electric floor. Yeah, so I didn't want the beer back,
- 11:16Speaker 1: but I got to drink in between rounds. There you go.
- 11:21Speaker 1: So maybe maybe we do a little meet up at
- 11:23Speaker 1: Roseville and we go do early Ball. Who knows what
- 11:27Speaker 1: that one? What's that?
- 11:30Speaker 3: I'd have to find time?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, and.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Are key forged vaults.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Are extraordinarily time consuming. There's another game called Herd and
- 11:42Speaker 1: it's just got a bunch of sheep on it.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Huh, yeah, that's because sheep are awesome.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I guess. So not a lot of wookies on this list,
- 11:50Speaker 1: but we had a ton of funkies are expensive, wookies
- 11:53Speaker 1: are expensive. There's all those ip fees stuff like that,
- 11:57Speaker 1: But we did have a ton of fun. I just
- 12:00Speaker 1: thought i'd mention it and that some changes will be
- 12:04Speaker 1: happening to the discord, because well, you got to tickle
- 12:07Speaker 1: up his ass. So now now now games will be
- 12:12Speaker 1: turning into board games. Uh, and I hope to play some.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Maybe we can do like a once a week thing.
- 12:17Speaker 1: We choose a game, we play it. Who knows that.
- 12:20Speaker 1: More details to come later on with that one. But
- 12:24Speaker 1: this week Drascore had an idea, believe it or not.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Believe it or not, dras Board had an idea, and
- 12:32Speaker 1: his idea was how to make Skyborne play playable? Yes?
- 12:40Speaker 1: Is it playable or is it bearable? Uh? Either I
- 12:45Speaker 1: guess both were enjoyable. All these all the above right,
- 12:49Speaker 1: because like it has to be playable to be enjoyable
- 12:51Speaker 1: generally right. So, no, Josh, you leave redline rotation in
- 12:59Speaker 1: your growing the wrong direction. You need to make the
- 13:04Speaker 1: other cards also good.
- 13:06Speaker 3: I think he meant open as an open a red line.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Sometimes you have to wake up and choose violence red rotation.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Although I do think it's weird that like it's called
- 13:18Speaker 1: red line rotation, but it's like, but you don't want
- 13:21Speaker 1: the red Skybard cards that doesn't only trigger off key color?
- 13:25Speaker 1: Like was it originally if your red keed? What if
- 13:29Speaker 1: your your red key was forged and then you had
- 13:31Speaker 1: a blue line rotation where it did a different thing.
- 13:33Speaker 1: If your blue key was forged and a yellow line,
- 13:36Speaker 1: it would be kind of crappy, right it could It
- 13:40Speaker 1: could be Yeah, let's not let's not walk that one backwards.
- 13:44Speaker 1: No no, no, no, I'm saying you could have multiple cards.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You could have red line rotation, and then you could
- 13:50Speaker 1: have blue line rotation, which does another thing. You could
- 13:54Speaker 1: you could you could have a green line rotation. But uh,
- 13:59Speaker 1: the way those worked is Dass Corps made. You said
- 14:03Speaker 1: about twenty cards twelve. But for twenty twelve cards, we're
- 14:08Speaker 1: going to go through them one by one, and Sheep
- 14:10Speaker 1: and I are going to give our thought, our thoughts
- 14:14Speaker 1: and either I guess ways to improve. I guess. We're
- 14:17Speaker 1: gonna tell you if it sucks or not. You tell
- 14:19Speaker 1: me how much it sucks. Probably is this, you know?
- 14:22Speaker 1: Is this the is this the Archons corner version of
- 14:25Speaker 1: Smasher Pass that that help a future self's been talking about. Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: well I I still I don't understand how city did
- 14:33Speaker 1: not know what smasher passes. The kids aren't enough yet,
- 14:38Speaker 1: mind blow up my kids? Well, I guess my kids
- 14:41Speaker 1: are old enough. But even then, like, do you have
- 14:43Speaker 1: you heard of the internet? Like I don't. Have you
- 14:46Speaker 1: not stumbled upon this somewhere somehow, somewhere, I don't know.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Regardless of all of that, we're gonna go through drazz
- 14:55Speaker 1: das Cours cards. Should should we give it a smasher pass?
- 15:00Speaker 3: Yes? If dras Corps before we get any further time,
- 15:05Speaker 3: and Dane stamp this and send it in for copyright.
- 15:08Speaker 3: So the cards come on the next set you can see.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So Skyjedi is like, look at all
- 15:13Speaker 1: these cards I made up. Yeah, I definitely made these.
- 15:17Speaker 1: It's gonna be like, no way I'm touching these.
- 15:21Speaker 3: These are these are pre poisoned. Whatever you say here
- 15:24Speaker 3: will never show up in key.
- 15:25Speaker 1: For That's right, that's right, So make them real bad
- 15:29Speaker 1: that way. See, I'm trying to my objective. So all right,
- 15:34Speaker 1: so let me talk about what I was trying to do.
- 15:36Speaker 1: So I was playing Keyfarage yesterday. I just sold it
- 15:40Speaker 1: online and I was like, you know, it's too bad.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Most of the Skyborne is just not good cut, and
- 15:48Speaker 1: it's too bad the way they did the key color thing,
- 15:51Speaker 1: how it is kind of not very good. It's too
- 15:55Speaker 1: bad how they did battle line manipulation, because it doesn't
- 15:57Speaker 1: really matter. You know, some steel, some capture that's good.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I guess some fighting, I don't know. I guess that's piratey.
- 16:06Speaker 1: So but then I was like, well, what if what
- 16:10Speaker 1: if those are the four things you need? Because that's
- 16:13Speaker 1: the house identity, right, you can't. Part of what I
- 16:16Speaker 1: was thinking was like I shouldn't just make up something different,
- 16:18Speaker 1: because then I'm making a different house, Like I got
- 16:21Speaker 1: to keep the house identity, and but try to do
- 16:26Speaker 1: it in a way that makes the overall house better,
- 16:32Speaker 1: more playable, maybe actually usable. And as I was thinking
- 16:37Speaker 1: about it, like as I was writing these these cards,
- 16:40Speaker 1: as they're just popping off the top of my head,
- 16:44Speaker 1: I was bouncing around the idea of like, well, it's
- 16:46Speaker 1: in Amber Skies, or maybe it's in Token it's a change,
- 16:49Speaker 1: or maybe it's a future set, like I don't really know,
- 16:52Speaker 1: but it's somewhere somewhere in that vicinity. But a bunch
- 16:56Speaker 1: of the cards have to deal with key color, they
- 16:58Speaker 1: have to deal with battle mind manipula, and there's got
- 17:00Speaker 1: to be some steel and capture. That's got to be
- 17:02Speaker 1: a little bit of fighting like that. It's got to
- 17:04Speaker 1: be in there in order for me to say, oh, yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 1: this is like, this has the same feel. So that
- 17:11Speaker 1: was the constraints that I put upon myself. So we're
- 17:18Speaker 1: still taking the main theme. So there's no steel pirates
- 17:22Speaker 1: seems steely. No, there is steel and capture. That's one
- 17:25Speaker 1: of the four. So key color is number one, that'll line,
- 17:27Speaker 1: manipulation is number two, Deal slash captures number three, and
- 17:31Speaker 1: then some fighting is number four. All right, right, so
- 17:34Speaker 1: those are the four things that are in my mind
- 17:37Speaker 1: sort of the theme of the house. I don't know,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I miss something that's kind of piratey Skyborney, No, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: don't think so well.
- 17:45Speaker 3: I think we should have just gone Pirates of the Caribbean,
- 17:49Speaker 3: got rid of that a line stuff, and then they
- 17:52Speaker 3: should have just had a bunch of sort of anti
- 17:56Speaker 3: steal effects, you know, like when you steal the piece
- 17:58Speaker 3: of eight and then you get screwed for it, you
- 18:01Speaker 3: get a curse, you know, So it's like more of
- 18:03Speaker 3: those cards, like you know, after your opponent steals an amber,
- 18:07Speaker 3: a friendly creature or whatever takes damage or your opponent
- 18:10Speaker 3: steals and then they have to Yeah, bad things happen
- 18:14Speaker 3: to them.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Gone all that. Yeah, yeah, but we didn't. You could
- 18:21Speaker 1: have had a whole new card type called booty, where
- 18:25Speaker 1: if you complete something in the game right, you get
- 18:28Speaker 1: the booty.
- 18:30Speaker 3: You cannot give us the reason to say booty more often.
- 18:35Speaker 1: That's a bad How often are we really saying it?
- 18:39Speaker 3: Because they didn't give us a reason to say it
- 18:41Speaker 3: more because they're smart, greatly increase the usage.
- 18:47Speaker 1: So I reap with my ship and I get the booty, and.
- 18:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna shake my booty, and the booty joke would
- 18:57Speaker 3: be horrible.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Shake your shake all the time, dude. This totally could
- 19:03Speaker 1: have been an on glued set the night of the
- 19:04Speaker 1: Hokey Pokey. Remember that I do not need do we
- 19:10Speaker 1: have a lot of torking all these things you're mentioning.
- 19:14Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever seen it. A vault to her.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I mean, you need to go to more vault to hers, clearly, clearly,
- 19:21Speaker 3: I think I've done all these things that a vaulted.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Well, you're you're a special case. I'm gonna need you
- 19:28Speaker 1: to see I'm gonna need to see some torquinge at
- 19:29Speaker 1: the Roseville Vault. To her though, I'm just letting you
- 19:32Speaker 1: know I need to see the sheep torque. All right,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but let's get into it. Let's start. What did you
- 19:39Speaker 1: name the cards or are they just name the cards?
- 19:43Speaker 1: A couple of them. I put flavor text on not
- 19:46Speaker 1: that many, all right, but you know, maybe maybe we
- 19:49Speaker 1: could add some flavor text as we go here. So
- 19:53Speaker 1: so the first section, because I was like, all right,
- 19:57Speaker 1: the most annoying thing is key color. So we got
- 20:01Speaker 1: to make key color how somehow different more interesting. So
- 20:07Speaker 1: uh so the first thing that came into my mind
- 20:10Speaker 1: that was like, uh okay, like maybe this will make
- 20:14Speaker 1: it a little more interesting, a little better or whatever.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Uh I don't know how this well it works. But
- 20:19Speaker 1: so the first card is called colorful Sale. So it's
- 20:28Speaker 1: an artifact. So it's like sale on your ship. It's
- 20:31Speaker 1: multi colored. It's a common but limit one has an
- 20:34Speaker 1: ember PIP and it says, on your turn, for the
- 20:37Speaker 1: purpose of activating effects on your cards, a forged key
- 20:41Speaker 1: may be considered of any color of your choice. Oh, okay,
- 20:47Speaker 1: so you can basically regardless of the color of the key,
- 20:49Speaker 1: you can say, oh, right now, this is a blue key,
- 20:52Speaker 1: or right now is a red key? Do I have
- 20:56Speaker 1: to activate the do I have to Is it like
- 20:58Speaker 1: an omni effect or like just a static effect. It's
- 21:02Speaker 1: a it's a static effect. So so it only happens
- 21:04Speaker 1: on your turn, and you could just be like, yep,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I've got a I've got a red key, right or
- 21:09Speaker 1: I've got a blue key, I got a yellow key.
- 21:12Speaker 1: So you still have to have a key forged, but
- 21:15Speaker 1: it gives you a way to basically get more get
- 21:20Speaker 1: more activations out of these effects that you're not activating
- 21:23Speaker 1: very often. So that was my very first idea. I
- 21:29Speaker 1: don't know if it's a what's that? Yeah, tell me,
- 21:32Speaker 1: tell me what you go for it?
- 21:35Speaker 3: I mean, why emn bother if you're then going to
- 21:40Speaker 3: make a rule that says it doesn't actually matter what color.
- 21:43Speaker 1: The key is. Yeah, I mean you still have to
- 21:45Speaker 1: have a key forged. But yeah, well we already not
- 21:49Speaker 1: to have the start effect.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Like those garbage cars that are based off of number
- 21:53Speaker 3: of keys forge are not good cards in this game.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 21:58Speaker 3: So you just added a lot of words to make
- 22:04Speaker 3: bad cards.
- 22:05Speaker 1: To Basically, if you have a key forged to do something.
- 22:09Speaker 3: So I'm not I'm not hating the possibility of there
- 22:15Speaker 3: being an effect that functionally changes the color of a
- 22:19Speaker 3: key forged. I don't know if I like this level
- 22:23Speaker 3: of fermancy. I like colored smoke and some kind of joke.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Oh you could just play play color smoke action and
- 22:31Speaker 1: now you have a key of this color for this
- 22:32Speaker 1: start or something.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Or the Revel hooligans where you are spray painting their
- 22:37Speaker 3: keys and changing their color. I like, I like a
- 22:39Speaker 3: little more joke in my color change and I like
- 22:41Speaker 3: that idea, and either to be totally permanent where it's like, hey,
- 22:46Speaker 3: your opponent, you know, like on forge a key, forge
- 22:48Speaker 3: another key of a different color like that, or a
- 22:54Speaker 3: very temporary but a permanent level effect like this. Basically
- 22:57Speaker 3: to me just says like, hey, we wrote all these
- 23:00Speaker 3: semi complex state tracking and now you can just ignore it.
- 23:04Speaker 3: So why did we put it in at all?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yeah? So then so I was like, all right, I
- 23:10Speaker 1: wrote that. So we smashed a pass I got in
- 23:14Speaker 1: this card sheep, I'm assuming as a pass. Oh yeah,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I like it. If there were more cards in the
- 23:24Speaker 1: game that mattered that it mattered to.
- 23:28Speaker 3: How about this, Like, uh, the sales are often kind
- 23:34Speaker 3: of silky, so you might smash that.
- 23:39Speaker 1: What But like if there if they were good, like
- 23:43Speaker 1: most of the cards that care about color, sheep's looking
- 23:46Speaker 1: at some women at silky dresses. If there are more
- 23:50Speaker 1: cards that cared about key color that were of significance
- 23:56Speaker 1: right in the game, because like, I don't know, is
- 23:58Speaker 1: there any card in Skyborne that it like has a
- 24:02Speaker 1: really strong effect if you have a certain key forged, Yeah,
- 24:07Speaker 1: I mean like garbage power guy who kills artifacts and
- 24:10Speaker 1: creatures based off of like raiding party is the only
- 24:13Speaker 1: one I can think of. Right, if you have this
- 24:15Speaker 1: rating party, there's the guy who stuns everyone. There's like
- 24:20Speaker 1: having your blue key with two of those the dudes
- 24:22Speaker 1: that ready stuff is good. The artifact triggers off the
- 24:25Speaker 1: blue key. Yeah, I mean yes, but they're not. So
- 24:31Speaker 1: we're gonna get some other things right, but they're not. Okay,
- 24:33Speaker 1: So if there were more, if there are more things
- 24:36Speaker 1: that mattered that made game changing abilities, I would smash,
- 24:42Speaker 1: But they're there aren't right now, so I would pass
- 24:46Speaker 1: on it. Okay, all right, So that was my first idea,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and I was after I wrote it, I was hesitating.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I had some of the same thoughts you guys are thinking,
- 24:53Speaker 1: we're going through my head. So I was like, all right,
- 24:55Speaker 1: all right, well what if we take this a little
- 24:57Speaker 1: different direction, So still a sail because I guess my
- 25:02Speaker 1: brain was on the sale for whatever reason. Have sales,
- 25:06Speaker 1: but yeah, yess thematic. So now this is a special rarity,
- 25:13Speaker 1: so it's an uncommon slot. But there's three different sales, right,
- 25:17Speaker 1: so you get one of the women in the slot, right,
- 25:20Speaker 1: So it's either a sale of wind, a sale of blood,
- 25:23Speaker 1: or a sale of lightning. And it says on your
- 25:27Speaker 1: turn each time you activate that effect due to your
- 25:31Speaker 1: either it's the blue for the wind, the red for
- 25:34Speaker 1: the blood, or the yellow for lightning, key being forged
- 25:37Speaker 1: activate that effect a second time. So so it's like
- 25:42Speaker 1: the first one. Like if there were more effects that
- 25:45Speaker 1: were game like game altering, I think it'd be a
- 25:50Speaker 1: lot better.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Well, sure, but that's not the world we live in.
- 25:56Speaker 3: But I don't hate this one as much because it
- 26:00Speaker 3: pushes you to forge a certain color key a little
- 26:03Speaker 3: more for you, even though it may still have benefit
- 26:07Speaker 3: for your opponent more. But it's a little bit more
- 26:10Speaker 3: of a gamble bet there. But because key color is
- 26:16Speaker 3: in the world we're playing where key color often doesn't
- 26:18Speaker 3: matter at all, Like this card with our current set
- 26:21Speaker 3: of cards is too low impact most of the time.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yes, so we may have to add more cards with
- 26:30Speaker 1: with colors. Right, but but that's please deal to right,
- 26:37Speaker 1: which if there was more of that in in Ember Skies,
- 26:42Speaker 1: I think it would be better. Yeah, your your third
- 26:45Speaker 1: of Cliff destroys each enemy flank creature and then again
- 26:49Speaker 1: destroys each enemy flank key that's right, possibly four creatures
- 26:54Speaker 1: francs Yeah, oh, Frank preacher.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Once you become a little intoxicated, Flank becomes Frank.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Yeah. It may or may not be drinking right now.
- 27:11Speaker 1: The uh they have already drank. Yes, so so maybe
- 27:18Speaker 1: you know, the effects weren't strong enough in general, is
- 27:22Speaker 1: what we were, you know, complaining about with the key
- 27:25Speaker 1: color to make up for it only happening. Yeah, because
- 27:29Speaker 1: the key collar, I think was was never It's the
- 27:32Speaker 1: same thing with alpha and omega, like they were never
- 27:35Speaker 1: looked and I don't know how I feel like they
- 27:37Speaker 1: were never looked at as like a downside, right, And
- 27:40Speaker 1: it's a huge downside.
- 27:42Speaker 3: No, they were definitely.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Not as much that.
- 27:49Speaker 3: I don't think they considered the level of hindrance. They
- 27:53Speaker 3: didn't consider how much of a negative it was. They
- 27:57Speaker 3: didn't It's like tide. They didn't balance opportunity cost.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Well, why does somebody have a picture of you in
- 28:08Speaker 1: a doctor's and where is this and what are you doing?
- 28:15Speaker 3: Is that's a experience and we are definitely playing doctor?
- 28:20Speaker 1: Is this like a life size operation?
- 28:23Speaker 3: Yes?
- 28:24Speaker 1: Oh that's good. You look you look in theme there? Right?
- 28:32Speaker 1: You could definitely if you're like, yeah, that's doctor Sheef,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I'd be like, oh okay, Like I wouldn't even question
- 28:37Speaker 1: a PhD.
- 28:38Speaker 3: All right, here here is Here is my comment on
- 28:41Speaker 3: this current situation is for these cards, these key color cards,
- 28:48Speaker 3: to even be moderately good, you already have to afforge
- 28:50Speaker 3: the key otherwise they're bad cards. And now you're adding
- 28:55Speaker 3: a card that is only good if you already have
- 29:02Speaker 3: a key forge and have one of these cards that
- 29:05Speaker 3: actually cares about keys being forged in play, which is
- 29:10Speaker 3: means you're either like it's not paying your way to
- 29:16Speaker 3: get there. You already have to be ahead for this
- 29:19Speaker 3: card to be good, and then it's just a rich
- 29:21Speaker 3: gets richer effect sort of.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Yep, a little bit. Yeah, you have to be doing
- 29:30Speaker 1: okay for you to be able to use this. So
- 29:32Speaker 1: if you're real, this.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Card doesn't help you get too okay necessarily.
- 29:37Speaker 1: That's true. That's true. Doesn't stabilize.
- 29:41Speaker 3: I guess I have to have an umber pip on it,
- 29:43Speaker 3: and then it's just a crap wash card until it
- 29:45Speaker 3: does something in that.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we can put an umber pip on this. I
- 29:53Speaker 1: was going with for the key color thing, you have
- 29:57Speaker 1: to do the key color thing, like, we still have
- 30:01Speaker 1: to have it in some fashion. So I was trying
- 30:03Speaker 1: to figure out ways to make it interesting.
- 30:07Speaker 3: About about and effect that lets you pretend to have
- 30:14Speaker 3: a forged key.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Well you didn't like my color for sale.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Well, what he's saying you were already changing on already
- 30:21Speaker 3: forged key. But I'm saying, like a if he's like
- 30:24Speaker 3: a temporary where you're like, yeah, you know a fake
- 30:27Speaker 3: key faction.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Pretend you have a key of any well if it
- 30:31Speaker 1: was like you know it like if you have a
- 30:35Speaker 1: key forged, uh, it can be of any or what
- 30:38Speaker 1: you know, like on these ones like if you have
- 30:41Speaker 1: the yellow key forge, you know, trigger it twice if
- 30:44Speaker 1: you have no key forged at you know, you may
- 30:48Speaker 1: trigger an ability as if you had that color key forged.
- 30:52Speaker 3: New new thirty eighth card. Try colored saiale Hay two Amber,
- 31:00Speaker 3: set the sale to whatever color you want, and that
- 31:03Speaker 3: key is considered forged for colored key cards. Mmmmm okay,
- 31:08Speaker 3: because we need more extra state tracking cards in this game.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Be an artifact right now.
- 31:15Speaker 3: That is too slow.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It could always be a state of play right, it
- 31:19Speaker 1: could always be in play right. But you can pay.
- 31:22Speaker 1: You can pay, yeah, yeah you can, but you can
- 31:26Speaker 1: pay to Ember to like again, you need to be
- 31:30Speaker 1: like if it just affects you and your opponent can't
- 31:34Speaker 1: change it, it might be a little bit better because
- 31:39Speaker 1: that way, it's like, oh, my yellow key is always
- 31:41Speaker 1: just even if it's not forged, it's considered forged, and
- 31:45Speaker 1: my my opponent has no ability to change what my
- 31:49Speaker 1: sale color is because if you go into like, oh well,
- 31:53Speaker 1: now my opponent can pay to Umber and make now
- 31:55Speaker 1: make the sale red. Now, now we're in a DT
- 31:58Speaker 1: situation where it's like, now we're going to fight over
- 32:01Speaker 1: sale maybe.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Again without the DT pull back and forth at all,
- 32:07Speaker 3: it's boring. It's non inerative at all, it gets kind
- 32:12Speaker 3: of boring.
- 32:13Speaker 1: It is weird though, if it's a thirty eighth card,
- 32:15Speaker 1: it would really only make sense when you have skyborne.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I know. Well that's because you don't want
- 32:22Speaker 3: thematic this to other houses develop idea. It's a slap
- 32:26Speaker 3: add on to one happen.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I mean, that's one. That's my whole list of twelve.
- 32:30Speaker 1: So all right, so you give it, smash your pass
- 32:36Speaker 1: for sale of wind blood lightning. What do you guys
- 32:39Speaker 1: think as.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Like anything?
- 32:43Speaker 1: Yeah? I agree, all right, all right, all right, how
- 32:46Speaker 1: about this one? Uh so we need some of this
- 32:52Speaker 1: and amber skies gonna be a desperate broadside. It's an
- 32:57Speaker 1: action uncommon says, your yellow key is forged, return a
- 33:02Speaker 1: flank creature to its owner's hand. If your red key
- 33:04Speaker 1: is forged, return a non flank creature to its owner's hand.
- 33:08Speaker 1: If your blue key is forged, war to creature, then
- 33:11Speaker 1: destroy each creature, gain three chains. If no keys are forged,
- 33:17Speaker 1: then you just it's after.
- 33:19Speaker 3: You've done all that other crap. It's a board.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Why, it's a gateway basically.
- 33:27Speaker 3: The gateway with some weird effects where you can like
- 33:29Speaker 3: protect some of your creatures.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Yep, or hand, choke your opponent, or with guys with
- 33:37Speaker 1: those Okay, So for the original portions, I wouldn't say
- 33:42Speaker 1: return an enemy creature. I would just say return a creature.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I did return a flank creature. Is I want a
- 33:48Speaker 1: different yellow verse? Red? Red is non flank? I thought
- 33:53Speaker 1: you said enemy. That's what I thought you said. Then
- 33:57Speaker 1: to turn any creature. Now, now I now I have
- 34:00Speaker 1: here's that great word agency. Hmm. Maybe there's a maybe
- 34:04Speaker 1: there's a critter on the board. I don't want to lose,
- 34:07Speaker 1: or I want to I want to do some more
- 34:08Speaker 1: with I can now return it back to my hand,
- 34:13Speaker 1: or I just blow over this op. You know what,
- 34:14Speaker 1: I'm ready to smash on this card. Oh it's got
- 34:17Speaker 1: flavor text by the way, Oh, I'll take you down
- 34:20Speaker 1: with us. It's a desperate broadside. So I'm imagining like
- 34:23Speaker 1: one ship like on fire, I like god like approaching
- 34:27Speaker 1: the other ship and firing on it.
- 34:29Speaker 3: About I don't care about key colors myself, but something
- 34:35Speaker 3: more aligning the fact if one key is forged, if
- 34:40Speaker 3: at least if at least one of yours is forged,
- 34:42Speaker 3: you can balance creatures. And then if at least two
- 34:44Speaker 3: of your keys are forged gain three chains the like
- 34:48Speaker 3: early game it doesn't cost chains, but as a closer
- 34:52Speaker 3: it does. But then you're gonna draw less cards, so
- 34:54Speaker 3: it's less important then, So maybe that balance isn't quite
- 34:57Speaker 3: right by like it's some extra They.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Further along you are in the game, you personally, the
- 35:09Speaker 1: further the more penalty you get.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Yeah, sort of right, if you'los versus Oh my god,
- 35:18Speaker 3: save me from losing card.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I can get down on that one.
- 35:24Speaker 3: But I didn't. Uh, you know, another board wipe is welcome.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I'm not quite sure about the bounce board. Like I
- 35:35Speaker 3: like the ward and the bounce, I'm not sure about
- 35:38Speaker 3: the two different versions of bounce. I think something else
- 35:40Speaker 3: needs to be done in there to.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Make it deltly, some damage to take out a ward
- 35:47Speaker 1: that was forged Exalted Creature time. Yeah, I could do that,
- 35:55Speaker 1: and then if you're blue.
- 35:57Speaker 2: I.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Will smash this card.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Swat all right, one of three for sheep. What do
- 36:04Speaker 1: you got? I already said smash. I'm a little bit more,
- 36:11Speaker 1: a little bit more fine tuning. Oh yeah, I like
- 36:14Speaker 1: of like, let's make this like the further you are
- 36:18Speaker 1: along in the game, like, the more penalty you know,
- 36:21Speaker 1: you're going to eat for it, so you can't just
- 36:23Speaker 1: like play it and be like ah and the game's over.
- 36:27Speaker 1: I like, I like that, Okay, okay, cool, all right.
- 36:34Speaker 1: So that concludes the key color section, which is hard.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Key color is hard because we've we've we've talked about
- 36:42Speaker 1: this so many times. The more you add stipulations to things,
- 36:46Speaker 1: the harder they are to complete, and the harder thing
- 36:48Speaker 1: is to complete, the worse the card gets. Like you can,
- 36:53Speaker 1: like you have to when it's something that's super hard
- 36:56Speaker 1: to do, you have to give it a tremendous upside
- 36:59Speaker 1: to be anything. Otherwise it's just not that good. It
- 37:04Speaker 1: just becomes too difficult to do for a lot of work. Yep, yep,
- 37:11Speaker 1: it's gonna work for not enough payoff.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Ye right, absolutely exactly.
- 37:16Speaker 1: All right. So the next section is battle line manipulation.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Now.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Yeah, So so for battle line manipulation, I was like,
- 37:26Speaker 1: all right, what what are we gonna do? What are
- 37:30Speaker 1: we gonna do that makes makes it interesting? And I
- 37:35Speaker 1: was like, well, they have like a couple of random
- 37:40Speaker 1: ships on the set, right, they should have put more
- 37:44Speaker 1: ships in and made it matter. Make it matter, I
- 37:52Speaker 1: make them good it make it matter, like where they are. Okay,
- 37:56Speaker 1: so I added a rule. Oh god, now at a rule?
- 38:01Speaker 1: What do you mean are you.
- 38:04Speaker 3: To bring that term they took out of this game back?
- 38:08Speaker 1: Oh no, there's no strat of flight. Don't worry that
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know of that? I know these cars are road. Yeah,
- 38:15Speaker 1: it's no strat of flight. I didn't add stratiflight. Here's
- 38:18Speaker 1: what I did. So I said, Uh, so real ships,
- 38:23Speaker 1: I said in my notes here, okay, whatever that means?
- 38:26Speaker 1: So all right, so ship is still a creature, but
- 38:29Speaker 1: each creature that is adjacent to a ship is considered
- 38:36Speaker 1: to be the crew of that ship. They're crewing that ship.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Uh and adjacent Yeah, ships cannot crew other ships.
- 38:45Speaker 3: Okay, so what if it's ship, dude, ship?
- 38:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fine, at least the way I wrote it,
- 38:53Speaker 1: both ships. Yeah yeah. If if we hate that, then
- 38:56Speaker 1: we can figure something out. I don't know. I felt
- 38:58Speaker 1: like it was too much accounting to be like, you
- 39:00Speaker 1: have to pick but that which one did you pick?
- 39:02Speaker 3: Okay? Anyways, you you're crewing ships? Very good?
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yep. So if you have a creature a non ship
- 39:07Speaker 1: next to a ship, that crew is on that ship.
- 39:10Speaker 1: So a ship could have up to two crew members, right,
- 39:13Speaker 1: and yes, the crew can straddle two ships. Okay. So
- 39:17Speaker 1: I was like, all right, now I got to create
- 39:19Speaker 1: a ship at each rarity level because there are no
- 39:22Speaker 1: common ships. So I said, all right, that stupid bowswun cream,
- 39:29Speaker 1: he's done. We're kicking him out of amber skies. We're
- 39:31Speaker 1: replacing him with a ship, replacing him with the boarding skiff.
- 39:38Speaker 1: So it's a common ship. It's four power because for
- 39:42Speaker 1: some reason, I mean Boson Crean three power evened the
- 39:45Speaker 1: other ones are four power in other houses, so it's
- 39:47Speaker 1: four power. It still gives that skyborne enhancement. Uh. It
- 39:52Speaker 1: has deploy because we're trying to figure out how to
- 39:56Speaker 1: make battleline manipulation interesting. And then it says each crew
- 40:02Speaker 1: member gains reap, deal to damage, and its scrap effect
- 40:11Speaker 1: is move a flank. Uh move move a creature to
- 40:15Speaker 1: the flank of its controller's battle line, deal three damage
- 40:18Speaker 1: to a flank creature. So it's powering up that boats
- 40:25Speaker 1: and cream scrap, and it gives something to the creatures
- 40:31Speaker 1: around it. If you have two of them four, what
- 40:36Speaker 1: do you got cheap? What's that?
- 40:38Speaker 3: So it's it's just their neighbors. We we already have
- 40:40Speaker 3: some crap ass Shadows guards that do.
- 40:42Speaker 1: This, Yeah we do. Yeah, these are a little better.
- 40:52Speaker 3: I mean every once in a while, breaker he'll cause problems.
- 40:55Speaker 3: It's happened.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Ill the enhancement more often useful.
- 41:06Speaker 3: The cream is so bad that boats and cream here
- 41:10Speaker 3: is better. We'll take it boarding.
- 41:12Speaker 1: Skiff all right, clear, just enough grade? All right? What
- 41:15Speaker 1: do you think so you're smashing on this.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Just I don't care about this guard to pass. I'm
- 41:29Speaker 3: hoping as we talk about ships going forward in because
- 41:33Speaker 3: I was kind of hoping to plan that they become
- 41:36Speaker 3: more interested.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I mean, I'm going to pass on that one. I
- 41:41Speaker 1: was hoping to hear like you would have some ships
- 41:43Speaker 1: and like maybe like the Shadows ship would be like
- 41:49Speaker 1: for each crew you know, reap for each crew member
- 41:55Speaker 1: on this ship. Steal one could and then you can
- 41:59Speaker 1: have and then you could have logos said be like
- 42:01Speaker 1: reap for each crew member on this ship Archive one.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Well again, this is Skyborne. I'm just dealing with Skyborne. Okay, Well,
- 42:07Speaker 1: that that's what I'm saying. Like, obviously you'd have to
- 42:09Speaker 1: spread these ships around a little bit, right, because that's
- 42:12Speaker 1: the flavor of the set. Maybe or you just skyborne.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I don't know each but.
- 42:18Speaker 3: These cards, like you say crew member, it's just for
- 42:20Speaker 3: each neighboring creature.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Ye, yes, but it is yes, So really we could
- 42:27Speaker 1: just say for each neighboring creature that's not a ship
- 42:30Speaker 1: instead of crew.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Yes, and then and then we can just add pilot and.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Then and then we could give something taunt to be like, oh,
- 42:38Speaker 1: they're on the ship. They're taunting, so they're on the ship,
- 42:42Speaker 1: so you can't attackt them.
- 42:43Speaker 3: Thought their neighbors would also get elusive because they're on
- 42:46Speaker 3: the ship, so they're slightly harder to punch.
- 42:48Speaker 1: We could we could do that do elusive each each
- 42:52Speaker 1: friendly neighbor gains elusive.
- 42:56Speaker 3: But this is getting to be a lot of text
- 42:57Speaker 3: on a boat, but anyway, it is, it is, it's
- 43:00Speaker 3: really anyways. Okay, so I got.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Five bullet points on that card.
- 43:03Speaker 3: So it's okay, what else you got?
- 43:06Speaker 1: All right? So then we have Stormfang uncommon ship storm
- 43:12Speaker 1: with oh yeah it may or may not have had
- 43:16Speaker 1: check GPT help me with some of these names. So
- 43:21Speaker 1: Storm Fang uncommon ship five power, one armor. Each time
- 43:25Speaker 1: a creature joins the crew of Storm Fang steal one. Okay,
- 43:33Speaker 1: so every time play a creature, every time this creature
- 43:37Speaker 1: gains a neighbor at every time you deploy board skiff
- 43:41Speaker 1: next to Oh shit, actually I broke that role already
- 43:45Speaker 1: because the boarding stiff can't be a creature, can't be
- 43:47Speaker 1: a crew member. I don't know. That's what I was
- 43:49Speaker 1: thinking though, But maybe we'll remove the ship. I don't know.
- 43:52Speaker 1: But all the battle liye manipulation, you just move stuff
- 43:55Speaker 1: next to your storm fang. You puts two storm fangs
- 43:57Speaker 1: next to each other, you steal two when you put
- 43:59Speaker 1: something there.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Fela feel a style effects with board manipulation is kind
- 44:07Speaker 3: of eat kind.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Of m hmm, I mean I kind of dig it.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Then you can still there there.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Truthfully, still isn't enough battle line manipulation to make strong
- 44:23Speaker 3: effect of multiple like multiple crewmembering this thing. As you're saying,
- 44:29Speaker 3: there's a couple, it could happen.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Yeah, might might need more deploy or something, but yeah.
- 44:36Speaker 3: But more more of the stuff where you gain benefit
- 44:39Speaker 3: for actually shuffling your guys around instead of like all
- 44:41Speaker 3: of our effects right now, which is shuffle some guys
- 44:43Speaker 3: around and get nothing for doing this.
- 44:48Speaker 1: K born on your flank anyway, right, Yeah, yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 3: This is fine. I don't I don't hate what you're
- 44:56Speaker 3: saying here. More of that would have been good to
- 44:58Speaker 3: go along with it.
- 45:00Speaker 1: That that's high praise from from doctor Sheep. I don't
- 45:02Speaker 1: hate this.
- 45:03Speaker 3: This is this is some stuff.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Is a quick job. Just salvator right now, Like get
- 45:13Speaker 1: a napkin, sir, you can you can hear his heavy
- 45:15Speaker 1: breathing from here over Pittsburgh. I mean yeah, for stuff
- 45:22Speaker 1: like that, Like I again, I'd like to see like, oh,
- 45:25Speaker 1: you know, spread it around a little bit, like have
- 45:28Speaker 1: you know, have a ship that would you know, like
- 45:30Speaker 1: I said, for logos like when this when this ship
- 45:34Speaker 1: gains a crew member, or when when a new when
- 45:38Speaker 1: a new crew member or whatever, whenever it gets a
- 45:40Speaker 1: new neighbor, it does a thing, and and that would
- 45:46Speaker 1: be like you know, this does include even when you
- 45:49Speaker 1: have battle line manipulation effects, so like, oh, I'm giving
- 45:53Speaker 1: it a new neighbor, so now get to trigger this again.
- 45:57Speaker 3: It's on Tamed, you have to take a god awful creature.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I'm like the card or is it gained an amber?
- 46:03Speaker 3: Is it good on Tamed or bad on Tamed?
- 46:04Speaker 1: I'm sorry say that again, my my helphes went on
- 46:06Speaker 1: for a second.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Good on tamed As you would gain anumber every time
- 46:11Speaker 3: bad on tamed is you'd have to take cards from
- 46:13Speaker 3: your discard and put them on top of your deck.
- 46:17Speaker 3: And then rob Nar would get choked and they would
- 46:21Speaker 3: only do two damage.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Maybe they deal eight.
- 46:26Speaker 3: No, no, and then Mars would get some crape creature,
- 46:35Speaker 3: you know, eight to one.
- 46:36Speaker 1: You know, it's not divided as you choose, you mail
- 46:38Speaker 1: deal eight damage to a creature.
- 46:41Speaker 3: The quality of the ships they put in the set
- 46:43Speaker 3: to have added this, like Neighbors caused style effect would
- 46:48Speaker 3: have actually been pleasant. Yeah, real bad, because.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Most of them say, give your opponent three mber so
- 46:59Speaker 1: exults for three bad decisions. Yeah, you better get me
- 47:03Speaker 1: an effect that's worth more than giving my opponent three
- 47:06Speaker 1: mber well.
- 47:07Speaker 3: At least as a chance, because currently they're low odds. Yeah, okay,
- 47:13Speaker 3: all right, well what's your third guard?
- 47:15Speaker 1: All right? So the third ship the rare one, the
- 47:19Speaker 1: Gilded Ghost, rare ship for power. The crew of this
- 47:23Speaker 1: ship gain invulnerable flavor, the dead don't die. I don't know,
- 47:30Speaker 1: make some ghosts or something I don't know that actually
- 47:32Speaker 1: fits with Skyborne, but it doesn't.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Pirate ghost ships, but a.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Pirate ghosts I don't know if it fits skyborne, but
- 47:40Speaker 1: pirate ghost ships, that's that's an interesting They gain invul
- 47:46Speaker 1: g Man. I wasn't even chut Gibt helped me with
- 47:48Speaker 1: these names. Clearly, man, I'm just trying to think. But
- 47:53Speaker 1: there you go. If if it helps it get a
- 47:56Speaker 1: lot of these stupid cards of the set, there you go.
- 48:01Speaker 1: That's actually like, that's pretty decent. But I was just
- 48:05Speaker 1: gonna say, it sounds like this is something that I'd
- 48:07Speaker 1: be looking at and somewhere along the way it would
- 48:10Speaker 1: get busted. You can still ship itself doesn't gain invulnerable,
- 48:16Speaker 1: So I have to kill the ship first, Yeah, you to,
- 48:21Speaker 1: and then you protect your other one. Yeah, like you
- 48:24Speaker 1: could do interesting.
- 48:25Speaker 3: So it's like you put this down and then you
- 48:27Speaker 3: ghost form this card somehow mm hmm, and then you
- 48:30Speaker 3: got a pretty rock and board. M hmm. Yeah yeah, okay,
- 48:37Speaker 3: I mean, like, I don't hate your card design, I don't.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Hate if you ghost can you even do anything then
- 48:43Speaker 1: to this creature and its neighbors? Well, the guilty ghost
- 48:48Speaker 1: itself doesn't gain invulnerable. It's just right. But he was saying,
- 48:50Speaker 1: if I ghost form it, if you go, then you could.
- 48:56Speaker 3: I'd make it rocking hard deal with.
- 48:59Speaker 1: I.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Yeah, your whole thought of adding more stuff for manipulating
- 49:04Speaker 3: your battle line to gain effect is is it? A
- 49:08Speaker 3: battle line is very poorly executed this set.
- 49:11Speaker 1: It is, man, you could have the style. Oh wait,
- 49:14Speaker 1: the Star Lions in this set, I don't think they are.
- 49:16Speaker 3: The like you typically really do your battle line manipulation
- 49:22Speaker 3: just by playing creatures on the flank the same turn
- 49:25Speaker 3: you play the flank based effect cards, right, Like, that's
- 49:29Speaker 3: battle ie manipulation. In this it's kind of saying that.
- 49:34Speaker 1: The Star a Lions ship could be like the neighbors
- 49:37Speaker 1: of this ship are considered to be of house Star
- 49:39Speaker 1: Alliance in addition to their normal tile. Yeah they're versatile.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Well well I was just gonna say not versatile, but
- 49:47Speaker 1: they're considered to be in house Star Alliants in addition
- 49:49Speaker 1: to their to their houses.
- 49:51Speaker 3: That's not even as good as versatile.
- 49:53Speaker 1: No, it's not, but it isn't just better. Yeah, Narplett
- 49:57Speaker 1: is just better. But now you also have to play
- 49:59Speaker 1: with Robnar.
- 50:02Speaker 3: Okay, I accept, Yeah, I don't think what you've got
- 50:09Speaker 3: here fix's battle line.
- 50:13Speaker 1: It's better.
- 50:14Speaker 3: But yeah, we have needed to go on to cards
- 50:20Speaker 3: that were already in in this house. Some of the
- 50:24Speaker 3: mediocre creatures that they did create just needed effects like this.
- 50:27Speaker 1: So well you could replace some of the stuff, right,
- 50:30Speaker 1: replace some of the stuff that the don't know.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Yeah, they they needed to make battle line manipulation matter
- 50:40Speaker 3: more interesting and valuable. Yep, yes, I.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Got I got one other battle line manipulation card. It's
- 50:48Speaker 1: an action. It's called all hands on deck. It's uncommon.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Gain one ember for each friendly crew member. Oh so
- 50:58Speaker 1: this is another ship. Now this is an actual what
- 51:02Speaker 1: was it? I guess, gain one member for each friendly
- 51:05Speaker 1: crew member. So this is you know, the style on
- 51:10Speaker 1: all boats all the time. Yeah, you just put out
- 51:13Speaker 1: a bunch of boats and a bunch of dudes. So
- 51:15Speaker 1: what happens when I get what is this linked to
- 51:17Speaker 1: a boat? I can only get it if I have ships?
- 51:21Speaker 1: Uh well maybe yeah, maybe it has to be. It
- 51:23Speaker 1: kind of have to be, because if I get this,
- 51:25Speaker 1: at least get this car to no ships. I'm real sad.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Yeah that's true.
- 51:31Speaker 3: Here's my battle line manipulation. It's just shuffle the battle line.
- 51:38Speaker 3: You replay it, and you destroy creatures. I mean that
- 51:44Speaker 3: whatever the hell you want with your battle line, and
- 51:46Speaker 3: then kill some things.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Well, no, it could be you could. Yeah, I'm down. Like,
- 51:52Speaker 1: take every creature in the battle line, shuffle them, reveal
- 51:55Speaker 1: one from you know, shuffle them into a pile, reveal
- 51:58Speaker 1: one from the top of your deck. You go, and
- 52:01Speaker 1: then your opponent goes, and then you go and your
- 52:03Speaker 1: opponent goes, and you can choose where they're played in
- 52:05Speaker 1: your battle line, or actually I guess the active player chooses,
- 52:09Speaker 1: and then at the end you destroy each flight creature.
- 52:13Speaker 3: Okay, just like naming it after a stupid dance.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it sounds annoying to implement, but
- 52:21Speaker 1: you know, you know, the crew of the Hokey Pokey
- 52:27Speaker 1: and now we need a ship.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, all right, well you're your ships on their own.
- 52:43Speaker 3: The only Wookie steal for playing creatures next to it
- 52:47Speaker 3: was good enough. Everything else was not fast enough to
- 52:51Speaker 3: be good Build a ghost. I don't think it would
- 52:55Speaker 3: be that much better than what we currently have. Okay,
- 53:00Speaker 3: all right, because already the problem with Skyborne is there
- 53:04Speaker 3: often god awfully slow with no good play effect, and
- 53:09Speaker 3: then the board just gets wiped and they never did anything.
- 53:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, Actually they probably do need a play
- 53:14Speaker 1: effect or two in here. I think you're right, yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 1: make it more interesting, all right, and then what you
- 53:22Speaker 1: guts of steel capture ones? So then I've got well
- 53:25Speaker 1: steel capture and fighter sort of layered throughout, okay, them
- 53:29Speaker 1: all together. Yeah. So then I was like, all right,
- 53:32Speaker 1: well the tokens and talk suck for Skyborne. So I
- 53:38Speaker 1: just replaced every single one. And so I did, you know,
- 53:42Speaker 1: a yellow one, a red one, and a blue one,
- 53:44Speaker 1: and I did a uh and then I did a
- 53:48Speaker 1: special one. So so here we go. That's the green
- 53:55Speaker 1: player the yeah, the green, the green, yes exactly, because
- 54:00Speaker 1: especially the linked rarity one right that that's not whatever.
- 54:03Speaker 1: That stupid cowboy looking one is like the hot dog cowboy,
- 54:06Speaker 1: you know, the guy I'm talking about, what's his name?
- 54:09Speaker 1: I do not.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Angle Skyborn token if you paid me.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Okay. So there's there's one guy that looks like a
- 54:17Speaker 1: hot dog in a cowboy outfit, and there's linked to
- 54:21Speaker 1: that giant flying fish and uh, he's like action. Each
- 54:26Speaker 1: player gains an ember and you're like why why action?
- 54:31Speaker 1: It's like two power action. Each player gains an ever
- 54:33Speaker 1: It's like, oh.
- 54:34Speaker 3: Well, so you can steal it with red line.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Which you might not have.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Well, but we dreamland here.
- 54:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it could have at least made a reap. I
- 54:46Speaker 1: guess reap. It would have always triggered. But yeah, I
- 54:48Speaker 1: guess action. You can whatever, Yeah, I guess action. You
- 54:52Speaker 1: can choose AnyWho.
- 54:53Speaker 3: Well it could have been repe your you choose to
- 54:56Speaker 3: like and you either nobody get to the every he
- 55:00Speaker 3: gets it.
- 55:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that would have been better. Smash your pass.
- 55:08Speaker 1: But it's good. It's all good. The uh you can
- 55:12Speaker 1: smash that dog? Oh and I would, all right, I would.
- 55:19Speaker 1: So if you recall the yellow one is called the
- 55:22Speaker 1: aerial list, right, it's like if your yellow key is forged,
- 55:25Speaker 1: like rep Capture one, it's like two power. So it's
- 55:29Speaker 1: real terrible.
- 55:30Speaker 3: Oh, it's like, hey, let's make the crappy capture card
- 55:35Speaker 3: from Sanctum worse.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Yeah. So I was like, all right, well what if
- 55:41Speaker 1: how would we make something kind of in the same
- 55:43Speaker 1: vein like a little better. So I did Stealth Aerialist
- 55:48Speaker 1: still two power token creature while your yellow key is forged,
- 55:52Speaker 1: because it's still gotta have that. So I was like,
- 55:53Speaker 1: what the hell do I do? So I was like,
- 55:55Speaker 1: all right, while your yellow key is forged, health Arealist
- 55:57Speaker 1: gains action steal one deal one day. Muge to stealth
- 56:00Speaker 1: Aerialist that while your yellow key is forged, stealth Aerlist
- 56:09Speaker 1: gains action steal one steal one damage to stealth air List.
- 56:15Speaker 3: How many hit points do they have to right now?
- 56:22Speaker 3: So after you've already forged the y and you can
- 56:25Speaker 3: action steal one sometimes.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Ye and then two times up to two times.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I mean there's plus power. You can have
- 56:34Speaker 3: a chance. Then they last forever.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's forever. Yep, there you go. I could put
- 56:40Speaker 1: this to my ship and have a crude and it's
- 56:43Speaker 1: in vulnerable. That's true.
- 56:45Speaker 3: That's one too.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Yep. I hate action by action is better, yeah said
- 56:57Speaker 1: action steal one is damage is too much like reap
- 57:02Speaker 1: steal one.
- 57:04Speaker 3: The truth is if you get three reap steal one
- 57:07Speaker 3: guys online, that is actually pretty hard.
- 57:11Speaker 1: Add a two power though, I agree with you. But
- 57:14Speaker 1: in a two power, four, four.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Or five reaping one power guys that don't steal is
- 57:22Speaker 3: often enough to win a game.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Like he creates Well that's a token though, But like
- 57:29Speaker 1: this is just uh not the other one. That's what
- 57:33Speaker 1: I'm saying. This is this is I'm replacing the talk
- 57:36Speaker 1: tokens that's okay. Yeah, that's why I didn't want to
- 57:39Speaker 1: get I'm thinking, I'm like, dude, this is just umbra. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:44Speaker 1: it's similar to umber.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Car even need the key color thing.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Well, and so I don't bet it's because it's the
- 57:51Speaker 1: Skyborn thing. So I was trying to keep the theme.
- 57:54Speaker 3: But it's like, again, this is like d t It's like,
- 57:57Speaker 3: let's make them have a crappy let's create make this
- 58:02Speaker 3: card only sort of as good as other cards we
- 58:06Speaker 3: already printed.
- 58:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, there's two power equedon token in in WLL. Right,
- 58:16Speaker 1: that's like action steel one destroy this creature or what
- 58:20Speaker 1: if it was if your red key is forged reap
- 58:25Speaker 1: steel three?
- 58:28Speaker 3: Is that too much now tokens? That would be nuts?
- 58:32Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah tokens. I'm not thinking it isn't tokens.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, aerialist sucks. Yes, this is better outside of
- 58:46Speaker 3: you saying it's yellow, like why does this you know,
- 58:51Speaker 3: like it just it feels like, hey, we added key color,
- 58:56Speaker 3: so let's just slap this on some cards for no
- 58:58Speaker 3: good reason. That's that's the problem with the key color
- 59:02Speaker 3: stuff that this whole set feels is you know what
- 59:06Speaker 3: I'm saying This isn't like a joke. Isn't good enough
- 59:10Speaker 3: for key color to be mattering the mechanic, isn't you know,
- 59:16Speaker 3: like there's it's just like we have added another layer
- 59:19Speaker 3: of garbage in front of this rule for only the
- 59:24Speaker 3: reason of creating a new rule.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's just like and again, it's like ultimately,
- 59:34Speaker 3: in early key Forge, until the set, key colors didn't matter.
- 59:38Speaker 3: They were just arbitrary decided keys had to have colors.
- 59:42Speaker 3: But it's never mattered. And now they're like, well, we
- 59:44Speaker 3: made them have colors, so let's make it matter. It
- 59:48Speaker 3: just feels so forced for the effect. Yeah, because you think,
- 59:53Speaker 3: like you would think for the key colors, you would
- 59:57Speaker 3: have think there would have been more story where yellow
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: consistently went along with actions that gained amber, and red
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: was consistently along with doing damage, right, because it matches
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: the traditional token colors, and blue would have been wards
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: by that logic boards and stones or something. But like
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: the fact that the key colors don't even really feel
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: like they have a theme theme like an arbitrary rule
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: add on.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I like the theme thought. I think I think
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: that the general problem that we have is that every
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: set we need Every set has not a theme? What's
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: the word? Every set has like something new, a gimmick,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: A gimmick, I mean what it's done? Well, it's good, right, right?
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Done?
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Well? But we don't need a gimmick every set? Oh yes,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: every set needs to be different in some fashion. I'm
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: not saying every set needs to not doesn't need to
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: be different, but like, what was wrong with having they
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: so say, instead of giving this new key color mechanic,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: what was wrong with just creating some good cards that
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: like will make an impact for Skyborne, like Equedon, like
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Equedon's I guess I guess they kind of had a
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: gimmick too, which was like.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Because people are looking for new experiences.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: M h, totally, But do we need a new experience
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: every set?
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: Well, you know we only get tweeted?
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Yeah, well you do, do dot otherwise? Why bother? Otherwise?
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: One? Right?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Which is just all the cards you saw before just
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: differently put together? Right?
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: No?
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Because like you could, we're at the point now where
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: we have I think we have enough houses where we
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: could just be like, all right, it's you know, very similar.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Not here for your block discussion? All right, fine, all right,
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: what's your blue token. All right, so the next one
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: is okay, next one's the red one. So yeah, asher
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: pass on the yellow one. Yeah right, it's only smashed
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: because she's the better looking of the two sisters.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: You've had a lot of to drink.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Take one of them home.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: Sheep's lying. Sheep would take them both home, he would,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: he would just pay more attention to one than the other. Yeah,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: uh all right, so uh, the red one's the next one.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: So if you recalled the red one is the Corsair,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: which I think is a two power token creature, and
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: if your red key is forged, it gains plus one
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: power and skirmish, so it becomes a past three power skirmish. Okay, okay,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: if all right, so that's the that's the regular one.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Bad And then it became still pretty bad. Yes, it's
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: like bad. And it's like, hey, this is like a
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: broad dart token.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Mm hmm yeah yeah, just out of the gate. Yeah.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Anything that says give additional power and skirmish without it
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: having some bananas fight ability, yeah, like is meaningless.
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: So I was like, all right, so we got to
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: do something with fighting, right, because this thing theoretically wants
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: to fight, Well, we got to do something that's better,
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: like they're supposed to have a bit of fighting.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: So I said, all right, Mighty Corsair, we'll leave it
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: for the moment, for the second, we'll leave it two
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: power token creature. We'll give it fight gain one number,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: and it says while your Red Key is forged, Mighty
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Corsair gains five power. So while your Red Key is forged,
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: it can fight and kill a canteena fiend and still
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: be alive, and you gain a number. It can do
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: this one time. Yes, you got seven power fight game
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: one number. Well, I think they're gonna have more than
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: canteen key for it in.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: Their in their world, and because Katina being shouldn't exist,
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: it's it's two or three power has before fight in
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: one amber and then can gain skirmish with the Red Key.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Or all anime creatures all Anime. No, that would be
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: too good. And then I was gonna say, I was
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: gonna say all enemy creatures lose five power.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: Now no skirmish.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: But that's gonna be That's gonna be tough because now
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: you're playing creatures that just die.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Before fight game two when the Red Key is a
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: forged gain assault to and call them bombardiers or you know,
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: like something like that. M okay, because they start throwing bombs. Yeah,
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: I'll say give them some myssault. But it's gotta be
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: a before fight so you can still gain them space box.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Mm hmmm space dollars. I can agree with that one.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I like that.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: Yeah, this is where we're on the same train as
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: the last one, Like, yes, these tokens need help. Yeah, wow, okay,
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: yeah I don't I don't hate it.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: So the blue one, so the existing blue token says
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: something like if your blue key is foraged like action,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: gain two member destroy this token and it's two power.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: But I was like, wait, we need more like see
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: shanty vibe but like wind shanty, so you need like
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a siren. So I made a wind siren two power token.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Uh reap place a hypnosis token on a creature. If
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: that creature already he has a hypnosis token and your
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: blue key is forged, destroy that creature instead, you just
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: created a worse wretched doll. No, it's a better wretched doll,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: is it? Yes? Moby? How about I was I was
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: thinking about wretched doll that I did the silliness.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: I wonder if the Blue one it's like uh, wave
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: rider or something, and then some convoluted bunch of junk
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: where if the blue key is forged end it has
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: wave riders on both side of it, it doesn't conquers
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: the rule of six.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Oh oh something, I will allow you to break rule
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: of six. Wow, that's like the cardinal rule.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: I know, the hell with cardinal rules.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: But it's a cannot a stronger than your.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: May you cannot count rule of six.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: There you go, but you just make it so they
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: do not count towards rule of six. Well you do
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: not beat. I don't know, I don't know if that's good. Like,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: like you know, definitely somebody Alliance will make something that
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: just loops forever and then they'll be like, why did
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: you allow this to happen?
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Right, Like, yeah, well for sure, because alliance is supposed
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: to be broken. But I'm saying, like one of these
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: tokens should have line location, which would be their tokens.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: So like, as long as it has token brothers, I'm
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: brothers and sisters on both sides of it, it gets
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: the extra effect and the heck with key color. So
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: maybe that's your special one. Maybe that is a special
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: one because I you know, sticking with wumper color is whatever.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I've got a special one coming, don't worry.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Okay, well my special one there, you got my special
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: one idea?
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: All right, what do you think of wind siren smasher pass?
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: That's just like those crappy monks. Never mind forget I talked.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm passing on a wind siren pass on win siren.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I can't can't. I can't do a lot of destructions.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: I can't do wretched more wretched dolls. I mean because
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: mark stuff. I mean that's how I wrote it. But yeah, okay, no,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: that's for the anoyance factor.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: I mean, it's not to their rules. But wind sirens
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: should just exhaust things by distracting them. Hm hmm something
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: you know, something easy like that.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: It could be, yeah, it could be.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: But siren song, you know it is. You get them
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: to walk over and then they die. Right, That's what
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: I was going for, right, Like, so, so then you
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: exhausted and then you can kill exhausted creatures.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Oh wait, maybe that's the thing to do. Yeah, exhausted creature.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: If that creature is already exhausted and your blue key
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: is forged destroyed instead.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you can do that, yeah, we may not have
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: that modification.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: All right, what's your special one? All right, my special token?
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: What happens when the green key is forged.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: It's uh so the special token that hot dog dude
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: does not interact with key color. So I gave me
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: permission to hear not interact with key color. So so
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: it's a cabin boy. I was like, why do we
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: not have a cabin boy. It's cabin boy. One power
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: token creature each time. Yeah, you put them on the
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: poop deck exactly, one power token creature. Each time you
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: play a ship, you may deploy that ship next to
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: cabin boy while your blue fee is is forged each
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: time a ship enters, play next to cabin boy. Ready,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: cabin boy. So in theory, he could ready twice. You
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: can just keep them. If you have a handful of ships,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: you can just keep deploying ships next to cabin boy
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: and just keep readying him. You can put between two
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: cabin boys. So this is also I'm guessing under the
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: assumption that you your new ships you've just made are
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: also in the set. Ye, yes, because because right now
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: he'd suck because there's not that a bunch of ships, right,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: I added a common and uncommon rare. Plus the Lincoln.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Still need like six ships before you would care about
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: this effect.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: All right, all right, so this oh flavor text and
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: it only cares me, sirs, and it only cares if
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: it's of the same house. Uh well yeah, all right,
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: ye grass corps. This couldn't even exist in DT.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: It's so bad.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: This is this is well, maybe it's just ready and
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: reap for the cow. This is ready and reap. There
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: is just the old crap. All right, here's the this
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: is bad.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: You've had a lot of by this point.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Maybe if it was like ready and use cabin boy.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Read there you go ready and you all ships gained
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: to play ready and use and ready and use cabin boy.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Yeah, still bad, but okay, well this.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Is assuming we have a lot more ship. I mean,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: every time you play a ship, like if you have
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: two cabin boys on it, every time you get you get.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: To amber, Mike, sure, because you also haven't fixed your
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: rule of six. You have to have cabin boy sure
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: before you play your ship.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Yes, there's plenty of token Christian cards, just like every deck,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: every deck in a token set. If you're not creating tokens,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: you're losing, right, so almost all of them all right,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: So the linked card, so it's linked to it's linked
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: to cabin Boy. The cabin Boy is the token. So
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: it's linked to a card, right, because your special has
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: to be linked to something. So it's linked to the
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: poop Deck. And maybe it should have been cabin Boys.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Uh so it so the Hollow Crown. It's a ship
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: six power one hour armor play capture all your opponent's
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: ember flavor. It won't be hollow for long. What does
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: it do? Captures all your opponent's mber on play, and
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: it's how how big is it? Six power one armor?
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I guess it's tough to deal with? Yep, didn't. We
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: just named this thing Anthony not too long ago, except
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: that gave one back.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: I like my card better. I like the poop Deck
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: and it makes it puts at least two cabin Boys
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: into play, so it's guaranteed to get their effect because
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: likect often either makes the effect better and then it
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: has action. Return a ship to your hand.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Ahip to your hand. I like that. It's an artifact.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: Now it's the poop decks. It's totally a ship.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: The poop Deck is a ship. The captain of the
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: poop deck is hailing us. Yeah, at what point I
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: had a cook token? But then that I could the
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: effect didn't makes sense. So take it off. What would
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: the cook do? I don't know. Yeah, come up something better.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Whatever the squirreliness I had, there's like food tokens. It
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: made no sense. Are we just playing magic? Now? Food
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: token is there? We took it to the magic don't Yeah,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: there's food tokens. All right, Well I I got rid
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: of it. It was not wouldn't be that likes to No.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: I think you. I think you. I think you pay
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: pay a manna and destroy the food token. I think
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: you draw card m hm, which might not be too
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: bad if it was create a food token, created an
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: exhausted food token, and then you could just draw card
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: whenever you want, when whenever the cook comes into play.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: Creative token, yeah, whenever you whatever. You prospector oh yeah
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: yeah we just made prospector we just made we just
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: made kind of a slow prospector. Wow. So so that's
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: that's what I came up with. This was the my
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: moment of uh air quotes genius that last night when
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I was like, wait a second, and uh I might
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: have been drinking, but I typed all this, so there
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: you go. I mean, well, I'd hire you, yay, I
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: would too. We need some we'd need some play testing
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: and some real for sure. The wording of this crew
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: thing is goofballs hell right, yeah, I mean obviously you'd
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: have to change the wording of crew, but I mean
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: that I think that's the word crew entirely. I think
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: that's very easy. But crew's fun thematic. And why don't
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: we have split cards yet in Key Forge? What do
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: you mean like that we have cards? So like, okay,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: so traditionally split cards and no, not like gigantic split cards.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: So like in Magic, left side.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: Is one blue man of one white man and it
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: does something in the right side like one black and
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: so like the left side is one card, the right
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: side is a total different card, right, And then they
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: had it in Magic, they had Start Wars. They've got
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: it in a lot of different things. We we don't
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: have costs in this.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Game, right, but one could be like low, I guess
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: all that we did is really introduce the house house enhancement.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: But it would be cool if.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: When you play this as logos, it does this, and
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: when you play it as equedon it does something else.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that that's that's kind of what I'm talking about.
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: You Well, I still think we are not that far
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: from an Alliances set where that's the kind of crap
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: you'll see. It's kind of like the You'll have legend
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: where it's where it's like half you know, like a
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: xeno bot. You know, you get the logos.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Half logos, half shadows.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: And when you when your deck gets generated, it'll look
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: at the house and make combo cards based off of
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: some algorithm. Dunk. Yeah, yeah, I don't think we're far
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: away from the alliance.
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Is that that could be cool if it doesn't suck.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: Oh man, why did I say? As long as there's like.
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: A gigantic blended creature for every every pair of houses
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: that takes up one slot in each and counters both houses,
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: so there's like eleven regular cards at a gigantic in
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: each house.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: That would be cool. Well, you could have.
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: Then totally make it silly, where it's like I've got
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: the bottom half of a shadows creature on the top
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: half of the logo, so when you put them together,
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: you know, it looks like.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: A badly formed They did that, and they did that
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: in Magic. One of the onsets they literally merged cards
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: were like you literally had like the Killer of and
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: then you could like bolt it onto another thing and
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: it would be like the Killer of Trees or whatever
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: what like. It would have one name and you could
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: bolt it on. You could bolt them together. Could I
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: have my customer art, my my custom art for my
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: two thousand dollars pledge? Be just my bottom half? I mean,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: if you got if you got it f wanted, you know,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: that's all I'm saying.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: No, Drass, just the bore.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. You should bring that up. And when
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: they announced it, you should be like.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: So it's like so just from here down, yeah, just
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: from the name, just from the belly button to my toes.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: That's all. Actually go to the toes. I don't like
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: my ankles, so it's just gonna be I got chunky ankles.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: So yeah, oh bye, all right, Dras you got any
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: more cards for us? That's all the cards that I wrote?
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: All right? So in the comments section down below, why
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: don't you go ahead give drazz cars cards a rating.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Let us know what you think, let us know what
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: you guys think, if you guys like them, if you
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: don't like them. What kind of fun cards would you
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: make to make some.
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: Anything with the dscore of more than like a three
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: and a half there.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: M yeah, I mean all right, I should have pumped
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: it maybe more. Yeah, you know what, it was one
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: night work. The work that Desperate Broadside was pretty good.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: It was I liked that. I mean it was one
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: night worth the work. You know, absolutely it could have
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: been fined. I think all of these have potential and
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: could be fine tuned into something. They just they need that.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: They need that fine tuning into something. How about like uh,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the the the crazy Blue Ship. Whenever you forge your
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: blue key, forge a key of another color of your choice,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: what numbered you that that would be a six? Oh,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: that's what I guess, depending on what it is like,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: that could be rough, like if it was a low
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: power creature and like you're about to forge, like and
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: you and you drop that right like you could. I mean,
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: obviously it's a must kill or a must not let
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: your opponent forge. But it's definitely I think that's definitely
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: a six step maybe instead of like.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: Chat much stronger than an amber drake, it's.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Not Yeah, it's always slightly This is true that that
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: would be a pretty dope guard. But I think that's
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: gonna do it for us this week. Thank you for
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: all who joined us in the live chat. Make sure
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: you guys like and subscribe, do all the things. Go

- 1:21:01Speaker 1: We we dropped our alph and now we don't know
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: where m hm. He was like five three too, so
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: it all kind of makes sense weird. Yeah, and and
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: all of us are kind of average height except for Dascour,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: who's tap. But with that being said, we'll see y'all
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: next week. Happy fort and everyone was doing you watch
