- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's almost famous podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 3: We were here breaking down Grant's season of The Bachelor.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Now we are at hometown's this week. There's so much
- 0:13Speaker 3: to talk about, Ashley. I'm going to start out the
- 0:15Speaker 3: podcast with saying this, it is one of the most
- 0:18Speaker 3: shocking exits of the season. Now, before we get to that,
- 0:22Speaker 3: let's break down the episode.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Are you ready? Yes, we have Juliana's date for the
- 0:29Speaker 2: first date.
- 0:29Speaker 3: It's in Newton, Massachusetts, East Coast, something you're familiar with.
- 0:34Speaker 4: I like the vibe, very familiar vibe.
- 0:37Speaker 5: I like the North End. Well, I guess it was
- 0:40Speaker 5: the little Italy in her town, but you know Boston's
- 0:43Speaker 5: North End, and.
- 0:46Speaker 4: I just don't. I don't know. How do you feel
- 0:49Speaker 4: about this?
- 0:49Speaker 5: Because I know Juliana is the frontrunner, but overall I
- 0:53Speaker 5: love her date, still wanting more. There's only one person
- 0:55Speaker 5: in this competition that I feel real connection with.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I loved her date.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Actually date part was good.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but I put it at number two as the
- 1:03Speaker 3: hometowns for the week, Yeah, confidently at number two.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I loved her family. I loved her dad.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Now dad, granted, I married into an Italian family, so
- 1:14Speaker 3: there is a level here where I just watched this
- 1:17Speaker 3: and felt I did feel like there was missing something,
- 1:20Speaker 3: because what I love it about Italian family is this,
- 1:23Speaker 3: they are un apologetically almost rude and not like they're
- 1:30Speaker 3: loving when you're inside of it. When you're inside of
- 1:33Speaker 3: that circle, you feel like you have the most love
- 1:37Speaker 3: in the world. When you're on the outside looking in,
- 1:41Speaker 3: especially on a first date, they're almost mean to you,
- 1:47Speaker 3: and that's okay once you understand what they're getting at.
- 1:50Speaker 3: And I wish they would have been a little meaner
- 1:52Speaker 3: to Grant, and I don't know why they weren't, because
- 1:54Speaker 3: I know they wanted.
- 1:54Speaker 5: To be that teaser that they had last week where
- 1:58Speaker 5: that you caught the dad's saying you're kissing.
- 2:00Speaker 4: My daughter in front of me or whatever did.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Seem so scary in the previews and such like a
- 2:07Speaker 5: jokester moment in real life, which was cute.
- 2:09Speaker 4: I like that moment. It was my Probably my favorite
- 2:11Speaker 4: moment was the day.
- 2:12Speaker 5: That and when the dad said I love him, I
- 2:16Speaker 5: love the guy like that.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Was really must have made Juliana feel really good.
- 2:21Speaker 2: It had to him.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I just I've been around Italians like one hundred percent Italians.
- 2:26Speaker 3: So when I first met Jess's family, her aunts, they
- 2:31Speaker 3: sat me at a table and they sat across from me,
- 2:34Speaker 3: and I was on one side of the table and
- 2:36Speaker 3: they drilled me and they said, we like you Ben enough,
- 2:42Speaker 3: but if you hurt Jess, we will hurt you. That
- 2:45Speaker 3: was how they opened my very first time ever meeting them.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And I remember leaving that being like, I don't know
- 2:50Speaker 3: what they meant, and I had to get it explain
- 2:51Speaker 3: to me because I've never been around.
- 2:52Speaker 4: That the mob was going after you.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I think they could have called upon him.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Okay, Can I just say that Jess doesn't strike me
- 3:00Speaker 5: as like uber Italian in any way.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Yeah, She's like this sweet southern bell to me.
- 3:06Speaker 5: She does not register Italian, big Italian Northeast.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yeah, she doesn't feel comfortable in those, but she lets
- 3:12Speaker 3: her ants do what they want to do, right so
- 3:14Speaker 3: they she knows that they have an element to them
- 3:17Speaker 3: that she doesn't have, and I think she trusts it.
- 3:21Speaker 3: And I think when somebody like me walks in where
- 3:23Speaker 3: Jess is like I think I'm gonna marry this guy,
- 3:25Speaker 3: She's like he needs to be able to handle this.
- 3:27Speaker 3: I have a shirt upstairs when I left and they
- 3:29Speaker 3: gave me So here's how it kind of comes together,
- 3:32Speaker 3: is I left that and they said welcome to the
- 3:35Speaker 3: Italian family as they give me a T shirt that
- 3:37Speaker 3: had that on there. And I still have said this day,
- 3:40Speaker 3: but I missed in this hometown, and I don't know
- 3:45Speaker 3: what I mean. I don't understand exactly why didn't exist,
- 3:49Speaker 3: how they weren't harder on Grant, because the Italians don't
- 3:52Speaker 3: just let things go like this. The dad doesn't naturally
- 3:55Speaker 3: just say I love the guy. That's not a thing,
- 3:58Speaker 3: it's not well.
- 4:00Speaker 5: He did say, like I'm really concerned that you have
- 4:03Speaker 5: through other girls here, and like I'm worried that you're
- 4:05Speaker 5: gonna break her heart, which is you know, classic needs
- 4:08Speaker 5: to say on a hometown. Yeah, you're right, It wasn't
- 4:11Speaker 5: very intense. I was completely overwhelmed by the amount of
- 4:14Speaker 5: people though, at this date and at let's SEEA's date,
- 4:18Speaker 5: particularly this date, like when Juliana was rambling off how
- 4:22Speaker 5: many people were going to be there. I would have
- 4:24Speaker 5: been so intimidated if I were Grant, because I would
- 4:28Speaker 5: like want to feel like I was having quality time
- 4:31Speaker 5: with the immediate family that needs to know me the most.
- 4:35Speaker 5: And in this case, like I don't really think he
- 4:37Speaker 5: was gonna get like any really quality time or even
- 4:39Speaker 5: its just gonna be like.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Hellos, see can I mean this isn't about me?
- 4:43Speaker 5: You would have felt more environment because well you were
- 4:48Speaker 5: the bachelor, because so maybe in this bachelor scenario, this
- 4:51Speaker 5: would actually make you feel more comfortable because you don't
- 4:53Speaker 5: have to have the spotlight on YouTube.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Nuch, you don't.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I mean cayleb Quinn's day I remember was incredible. Remember
- 5:00Speaker 3: where the hotel I stayed in, where we went, who
- 5:02Speaker 3: are family was, Her family was awesome. But there was
- 5:05Speaker 3: only a small group of us together all day and
- 5:07Speaker 3: it was a lot of pressure because you are spending
- 5:10Speaker 3: all day with the same people and you're in an
- 5:14Speaker 3: environment where you can't you can be yourself, but you
- 5:17Speaker 3: have to protect your you know, the conversations that are existing.
- 5:21Speaker 3: I think when there's a lot of people, you can
- 5:23Speaker 3: kind of let loose and let everybody else entertain themselves.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It's like a party compared to a one on one.
- 5:29Speaker 3: It's a group be compared to a one on one, okay,
- 5:31Speaker 3: And so I think when it comes to the bachelor
- 5:33Speaker 3: world specifically, the more people the easier on the lead,
- 5:39Speaker 3: and I think in this environment, Grant I don't know
- 5:42Speaker 3: if Grant was at that point. I can't speak for him,
- 5:46Speaker 3: but it is easier to to not just be speaking
- 5:50Speaker 3: to the mom and dad all.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Day, okay.
- 5:52Speaker 5: And I want to say that I did like the
- 5:55Speaker 5: activity portion of this date where they went to make
- 5:58Speaker 5: pizza and the guy truly eemed like authentic to knowing
- 6:02Speaker 5: Juliana's and knowing the family, and then they went to
- 6:06Speaker 5: the pastry shop, like it felt like something that we
- 6:08Speaker 5: would do, like at my grandparents' house in Northern Jersey.
- 6:11Speaker 4: It felt very familiar and authentic.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I am going to say something that will probably be
- 6:16Speaker 3: controversial to the listener, and it could be controversial to
- 6:20Speaker 3: anybody as the bachelor, there was an element at these
- 6:26Speaker 3: hometowns where you I specifically, I don't want to say
- 6:30Speaker 3: that everybody did this, but I specifically paid attention to
- 6:34Speaker 3: how people responded to the like the contestant that I
- 6:38Speaker 3: was visiting. So how would the pizza shop maker respond,
- 6:44Speaker 3: Where would they bring me in their hometown and who
- 6:46Speaker 3: would know them there? And I think that a little
- 6:48Speaker 3: bit of that is because I'm from a small town,
- 6:50Speaker 3: so there's no place I go in WORSEU Indiana where
- 6:53Speaker 3: I don't know somebody working at the place that I
- 6:56Speaker 3: would bring a date, right, And I'm hoping that person
- 7:01Speaker 3: either like gives me a hard time or they celebrate
- 7:05Speaker 3: me or whatever. But at least they know me and
- 7:07Speaker 3: they like feel comfortable with me, because what it said
- 7:10Speaker 3: to me was they've invested into their community and to
- 7:13Speaker 3: where they're from.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Yeah, why why would this annoy anyone?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Because I think everybody else within this episode didn't have that.
- 7:25Speaker 3: She's the only one. Oh, yes, it was like everybody
- 7:29Speaker 3: else felt very distant from the date that they were presenting.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Yes, I thought this was the weirdest Hometown's episode because
- 7:36Speaker 5: it felt like we were at nobody's hometown except for Joe's.
- 7:39Speaker 3: That was why it would be controversial to listener, because
- 7:41Speaker 3: I know there's elements that came into play to cause
- 7:46Speaker 3: that to be the case, and those elements I don't think,
- 7:49Speaker 3: and rightfully so, we don't understand any of them, Like
- 7:52Speaker 3: we don't know the stories behind like why Zoe's like
- 7:56Speaker 3: hometown was the way it was. We know bits and pieces,
- 7:58Speaker 3: we just don't know the story. And that's fine. I'm
- 8:01Speaker 3: not mad about that. That's that's her prerogative, that's her
- 8:04Speaker 3: personal life.
- 8:05Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 8:06Speaker 3: But it felt like this was the only real hometown
- 8:09Speaker 3: that we got, yes to the point where it was like,
- 8:12Speaker 3: oh my gosh, pore Grant. He had to go all
- 8:14Speaker 3: over the country and like he didn't really end up
- 8:17Speaker 3: having a hometown date with any of these girls except
- 8:19Speaker 3: for Juliana. He ended up just meeting the family or
- 8:22Speaker 3: you know, meeting the closest people to them.
- 8:24Speaker 4: They could have flown as well. They wouldn't have flown
- 8:26Speaker 4: those people out. They would have obviously fen were in there.
- 8:28Speaker 5: But you know what I mean, Like the location didn't
- 8:30Speaker 5: seem to play at all.
- 8:32Speaker 3: There were locations never made since me now freaking Wyoming.
- 8:35Speaker 3: My family's had a ranch in Wyoming for my whole life.
- 8:38Speaker 3: You want to know how many airports there are to
- 8:39Speaker 3: fly into in Wyoming? Not many, Like there's not He
- 8:43Speaker 3: had to take a dry I don't know where he
- 8:45Speaker 3: was coming from. He might have fallen into the Denver
- 8:48Speaker 3: for that day and drove six hours. Maybe he got
- 8:52Speaker 3: some private planes.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:53Speaker 3: But anyways, my I guess the controversial statement I was
- 8:58Speaker 3: trying to make is this out of all of them,
- 9:01Speaker 3: felt like the only hometown that actually existed. All those
- 9:04Speaker 3: others could have existed anywhere in the country.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree with you. I'm not going to heat
- 9:09Speaker 4: or anything.
- 9:09Speaker 5: I can tell you that, Like in my hometown, I
- 9:12Speaker 5: could walk into like the deli and they're not.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Going to know my name.
- 9:16Speaker 5: It doesn't mean that I'm not like, I don't feel
- 9:18Speaker 5: like I'm from there. It's just different towns call for,
- 9:21Speaker 5: you know, different relationships.
- 9:23Speaker 2: But you were made for a smaller town, all right.
- 9:25Speaker 3: So Juliana's day comes off and it's like, hey, she
- 9:28Speaker 3: should be here next week. No questions to me. Now,
- 9:31Speaker 3: was it the best hometown? Did it feel like everything
- 9:35Speaker 3: happened how we thought it would know? But it was
- 9:37Speaker 3: a great hometown. And I left that date feeling like,
- 9:41Speaker 3: she's going to be here next week no matter what.
- 9:44Speaker 3: So let's see who's not going to be here.
- 9:47Speaker 4: She's going to be in the finale.
- 9:48Speaker 5: I just feel like there's a huge discrepancy in this
- 9:51Speaker 5: episode between the two in the finale presumably and the
- 9:55Speaker 5: two that are not. And I just I still feel
- 10:00Speaker 5: like I know that they were saying basically like I
- 10:03Speaker 5: am falling in love with you I.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Don't feel a huge connection between the two of them.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Uh, it's I mean, if we're comparing based on this season, Ashley,
- 10:15Speaker 3: it's it's up.
- 10:16Speaker 2: There in terms of connections.
- 10:18Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I know, I'm realizing that that is the
- 10:21Speaker 5: problem to this season. I really don't feel a lot
- 10:25Speaker 5: of intense depth.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I have a theory and I'll share at the end. Okay,
- 10:31Speaker 3: I know who's going to be there in the final two.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like anybody watching knows. Okay, okay, okay, fair.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Then let's take what we have is the preview, and
- 10:42Speaker 3: obviously we know that Grant is so conflicted at the end.
- 10:47Speaker 3: So if you and I are sitting here saying we
- 10:48Speaker 3: know who the final two are going to be, then obviously,
- 10:51Speaker 3: at the very end of this the final two that
- 10:53Speaker 3: we believe is going to be there, and Mark gonna say, man,
- 10:55Speaker 3: it will say it's the very end of this episode
- 10:58Speaker 3: he is so confus that he's falling in love with
- 11:01Speaker 3: both of them.
- 11:02Speaker 4: No, I'm very confused by this.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Okay, we'll talk about it later. Let's move on to
- 11:06Speaker 3: Zoe's hometown. Zoe was in both of our final fours.
- 11:10Speaker 3: We've had belief in her since the very beginning. She's
- 11:13Speaker 3: the only reason we can claim that our really baseless,
- 11:17Speaker 3: assumption based show that happens at the beginning of every
- 11:21Speaker 3: season has any merit because we both said Zoe will
- 11:25Speaker 3: be there in the final four.
- 11:27Speaker 2: We're right day, we're experts, we're right now. Zoe.
- 11:34Speaker 3: To me and Grant, they I'm shocked that she is
- 11:38Speaker 3: still here after this episode. It feels like they missed
- 11:42Speaker 3: the mark on every level when it comes to communication, intimacy, physicality, community,
- 11:49Speaker 3: Like it feels like they have no relationship to me.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Absolut freaking lutely bad.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Am I wrong?
- 11:56Speaker 4: That's exactly how I feel, Ashley.
- 12:09Speaker 2: I'm glad that you feel this way with me, because
- 12:12Speaker 2: I watch this again.
- 12:13Speaker 4: You watched it twice.
- 12:14Speaker 3: No, I've watched the whole No, I say, I'm watching
- 12:16Speaker 3: the whole season, and I watched this episode because there's
- 12:19Speaker 3: been this like character arc of Zoe that's untraditional to
- 12:23Speaker 3: any other story that ever exists in the world. Right
- 12:26Speaker 3: we have She's controversial, we feel like she's gonna be
- 12:29Speaker 3: a villain, and then she's lovable, and then she has
- 12:31Speaker 3: this connection with Grant and now she's like so we're
- 12:34Speaker 3: coming into this episode with this connection with Grant, and
- 12:36Speaker 3: we're loving on Zoe and we're like, we're so happy
- 12:39Speaker 3: she's here. So I'm waiting for that kind of pinnacle
- 12:42Speaker 3: moment for us to go of course, she's still here,
- 12:45Speaker 3: Like there's no question she should still be here. And
- 12:49Speaker 3: I watch this episode and I know her scenario is
- 12:52Speaker 3: different because of her, like what's going on with her
- 12:55Speaker 3: and her family right now and so many things we
- 12:58Speaker 3: don't know, but yet we're kind of reading through the
- 13:00Speaker 3: lines when we're knowing that there's some type of family
- 13:02Speaker 3: issue where her adopted family isn't gonna be there, and
- 13:05Speaker 3: that's great, that's fine, we understand that. So we're like, Okay,
- 13:10Speaker 3: we're gonna still focus on Grant and Zoe. And I
- 13:12Speaker 3: watched this Ashley and I watched this whole day, and
- 13:16Speaker 3: I'm like, they don't have anything.
- 13:19Speaker 4: No, there's nothing there. And the fact that she chose
- 13:22Speaker 4: to do.
- 13:23Speaker 5: The whole like model shoot with the bride stuff we
- 13:28Speaker 5: had like a wedding shoot, Oh my gosh, and for
- 13:31Speaker 5: her to be so little chemistry during that was just like,
- 13:35Speaker 5: this is so awkward. And I bet you it was
- 13:37Speaker 5: even more awkward in real life because we know how
- 13:40Speaker 5: the show can take like a fine moment and make
- 13:44Speaker 5: it look really romantic.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Put some music behind it.
- 13:46Speaker 4: They couldn't even make this look natural.
- 13:50Speaker 3: It was tough well and even some of the words
- 13:54Speaker 3: she was saying to her sister, She said, what I
- 13:56Speaker 3: love about Grant is he like, you know, I'm a
- 13:58Speaker 3: hard working woman.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Great.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I celebrate that you are a strong, hard working woman. Okay,
- 14:06Speaker 3: that's the baseline. She says. He likes the creative side
- 14:09Speaker 3: of me, and I think he likes the model side
- 14:11Speaker 3: of me. He'll take it all like why are they
- 14:13Speaker 3: two different things? You're one human? Like why do those
- 14:16Speaker 3: have to be separated?
- 14:18Speaker 5: Zoe?
- 14:19Speaker 2: Like, you were.
- 14:19Speaker 3: Both and that is beautiful and that is incredible and
- 14:22Speaker 3: that is such a spectacular thing for you to have,
- 14:25Speaker 3: is to be beautiful and creative and to be all
- 14:28Speaker 3: these things at once. But it's like, when you say that,
- 14:31Speaker 3: it makes me think that you're asking this dude to
- 14:33Speaker 3: love two different people, and I think you're two different people.
- 14:37Speaker 5: I didn't pick up on that, but I did pick
- 14:39Speaker 5: up on her sister being like, so, like, how do
- 14:41Speaker 5: you feel about him?
- 14:42Speaker 4: You know, like are you falling in love with him?
- 14:44Speaker 5: And she was like, I like him yeah, something along
- 14:47Speaker 5: those lines, and I'm like, okay, like, why is going on?
- 14:50Speaker 4: Just because you're both too hot people doesn't make this work.
- 14:53Speaker 2: It's not.
- 14:54Speaker 3: It feels like two hot people trying to make it work.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I'm shocked she didn't go home. When I said the beginning,
- 14:59Speaker 3: this is the most shocked.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Really this, I was like, what is he talking about?
- 15:03Speaker 2: She didn't go home. I thought for sure she would go.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Home, really, even after seeing Dinas Because after seeing Dina's
- 15:10Speaker 5: I was like, uh, they're tied. If not, Dina's was.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Worse okay, because there was.
- 15:17Speaker 5: Zero chemistry there too, and you could tell that he
- 15:21Speaker 5: was just like I have to like talk to your
- 15:23Speaker 5: friends and even pretend like this is like something that
- 15:26Speaker 5: might go anywhere. He was super thrown off at the
- 15:31Speaker 5: family not being around, which I can get. Again, it's
- 15:34Speaker 5: kind of like, why did you send me here to
- 15:37Speaker 5: just go to a pumpkin patch with your friends?
- 15:39Speaker 4: Please come to la I don't know.
- 15:42Speaker 2: But let's let's talk.
- 15:43Speaker 5: About Latia's date first. Yeah, it's Wyoming, which again we
- 15:48Speaker 5: get a brief and synopsis.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Let's be clear though, it's amazing place, so windy, so beautiful,
- 15:57Speaker 3: and what with.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Becca Tilley once to the tea pause ts yees yea
- 16:02Speaker 5: different part.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Of the state, but yes, very beautiful place.
- 16:06Speaker 5: Yeah, so they like like to meet here at We
- 16:10Speaker 5: don't know if it's this cabin or if they rented out.
- 16:12Speaker 4: This felt like it could have been like a rented
- 16:14Speaker 4: out cabin.
- 16:14Speaker 5: It was so extraordinary and if not, then it's like, okay,
- 16:18Speaker 5: so what's your family.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Do you have this random, huge ass mansion?
- 16:22Speaker 3: And you know, because she's talking about her grandma a
- 16:25Speaker 3: lot who her grandma couldn't be there obviously.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Well, her grandma has passed.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's what I'm saying, I'm putting it.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Okay, Well that's what they kept saying, is you couldn't
- 16:37Speaker 3: be there.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 2: For clearing that up, okay's gracious.
- 16:46Speaker 5: So maybe the grandpa, you know, he's like he looks
- 16:49Speaker 5: like a oil.
- 16:51Speaker 2: It's oil.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I was gonna say oil, but I was like, am
- 16:53Speaker 4: I being weird for this.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Oil Ashley?
- 16:57Speaker 4: Okay?
- 16:58Speaker 5: I was like, this feels like what was the show
- 17:01Speaker 5: with with Larry Hagman Dallas Dallas to Move.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Yeah, No, Like at some point this let's assume for
- 17:10Speaker 3: the sake of this conversation that this is their family ranch,
- 17:14Speaker 3: like this is their this is their fandy second home
- 17:18Speaker 3: where they can go visit and have fun at and
- 17:20Speaker 3: ride horses. Okay, a beautiful place, absolutely gorgeous. I love
- 17:25Speaker 3: seeing because I love Wyoming, I do. I think it's
- 17:27Speaker 3: one of the coolest places on earth. That's unlike that
- 17:30Speaker 3: nobody lives at And how do.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I see this?
- 17:35Speaker 3: Is it just mired the like did she shine this episode?
- 17:38Speaker 3: Like she just looked like she was glowing off the screen.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Okay, let me tell you this. I think she's gotten
- 17:44Speaker 5: prettier with each episode. The more you get to know
- 17:46Speaker 5: our personality.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Is that it is that what I'm feeling.
- 17:48Speaker 5: Okayah, I feel like I'm getting You know how when
- 17:52Speaker 5: you're attracted to someone and you get to know them,
- 17:54Speaker 5: their personality rocks. Yeah, they get more attractive to you.
- 17:58Speaker 5: This even applies to like front chips. You're like, you see,
- 18:01Speaker 5: somebody's soul obviously is beautiful. They come across as more
- 18:05Speaker 5: attractable on the outside. And that to her. That's happening
- 18:08Speaker 5: to me with her.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Okay, I felt it this episode. I've always thought she
- 18:14Speaker 3: was a front runner, at least since we started watching
- 18:16Speaker 3: the show, But this episode, I was like there's no question,
- 18:19Speaker 3: Like there's something about her this episode that is jumping
- 18:23Speaker 3: off the screen at me where it's like there's no
- 18:25Speaker 3: like he has to.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Fall in love with this girl.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's it's an incredible.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Dynamic between the two of them.
- 18:35Speaker 3: There is still the element of faith, and so that's
- 18:39Speaker 3: the big storyline going into this.
- 18:41Speaker 2: And he makes one.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Of the most obscure statements at the beginning of this
- 18:48Speaker 3: date that I've ever heard.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Okay, he said that he was scared, and that she
- 18:53Speaker 5: said he said, I'm not scared, and then it was
- 18:56Speaker 5: like blah blah, blah blah, and then at the end
- 18:58Speaker 5: he was like.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Well I'm scared. It was like the biggest one.
- 19:04Speaker 3: He says this statement, I'm still someone who sometimes likes
- 19:09Speaker 3: to have a drink and.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Have oh so fun, have fun. Oh my god.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And I was like, dude, wait time out, buddy. I
- 19:17Speaker 3: think you've been great Grant. I think you would be
- 19:20Speaker 3: a dude that'd be great to hang out with. I
- 19:22Speaker 3: feel for you. I want you to find love so bad.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Let's say that the fact that you at any level
- 19:29Speaker 3: are questioning if people of Mormon's faith don't like to
- 19:36Speaker 3: have fun, if that is a question to you. Somebody
- 19:40Speaker 3: needs to like shake you right now and say, hey,
- 19:43Speaker 3: Mormons can still have fun too, buddy, Like they still
- 19:46Speaker 3: have a good time. Like you aren't giving you aren't
- 19:50Speaker 3: giving this thing up, Like the fun factor doesn't change
- 19:54Speaker 3: if you marry into this family.
- 19:56Speaker 5: That is so funny that that rang in your ear
- 19:59Speaker 5: because that was something that like I chewed over for
- 20:02Speaker 5: a second as well. Yeah, I'm like, okay, So this
- 20:06Speaker 5: is just him kind of indirectly.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Saying I have no clue what's going on in this face. No, no, no, no.
- 20:14Speaker 5: To me, it's like being having fun means like doing
- 20:19Speaker 5: like sinful things like getting drunk and hooking up.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Oh so he's going to old school like evangelical route
- 20:26Speaker 3: where he's like sex, drugs, and alcohol are gonna be
- 20:29Speaker 3: talked about every youth group in the same like funnel
- 20:33Speaker 3: and those three things are gonna be associated together for
- 20:35Speaker 3: the rest of your life. So if you are gonna
- 20:38Speaker 3: do anything like sex, drugs, and alcohol, if you're gonna
- 20:40Speaker 3: think about anybody inappropriately, if you're gonna drink any alcohol,
- 20:43Speaker 3: if you're gonna do any drugs, then like that's what
- 20:47Speaker 3: fun is.
- 20:48Speaker 4: But is he wrong in the sense of the Mormon faith,
- 20:52Speaker 4: like that stuff doesn't go on.
- 20:54Speaker 5: Really, he's wrong. They don't drink at all, right, not traditionally. No,
- 20:59Speaker 5: But I also don't think that drinking and fun are equated.
- 21:03Speaker 5: Like I'm trying to have plenty of fun without drinking.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say.
- 21:07Speaker 4: It's like sad to equate them.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Yes, like not that you be shunned. And I think
- 21:12Speaker 3: her family and we'll get to this did an incredible
- 21:15Speaker 3: job at reassuring him that if he enters into the
- 21:18Speaker 3: family without sharing the same faith tradition, he's still widely
- 21:23Speaker 3: accepted and there's arms that are going to be thrown
- 21:25Speaker 3: around him in love. So let's like preface it with that.
- 21:30Speaker 3: But the fact that his mind goes to, wait, I
- 21:35Speaker 3: still like to do these things at times, and that's
- 21:39Speaker 3: what fun to me is, I think is the bigger
- 21:42Speaker 3: question here.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Okay, okay, yeah, I see that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I and I also just wish.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I think the only thing I think of this day
- 21:50Speaker 3: and the only criticism criticism I have of Grant within
- 21:54Speaker 3: this day, and it could have still happened this show
- 21:56Speaker 3: didn't maybe show it is I want him if this
- 21:59Speaker 3: is a really like a concern of his if this
- 22:02Speaker 3: is his, like, I want him to ask more questions
- 22:04Speaker 3: about it, Like I want him to sit with the
- 22:06Speaker 3: dad and be like, can you tell me more about
- 22:08Speaker 3: like what it is that you guys practice, What would
- 22:11Speaker 3: be important to you as I stepped into a relationship
- 22:14Speaker 3: with your daughter on behaviors that I have and don't have.
- 22:17Speaker 2: I think he would get.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Some clarity and probably get some peace of mind on
- 22:24Speaker 3: that he can still live his life in a way
- 22:28Speaker 3: that he finds fun.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Without you know, sacrificing the acceptance of the family.
- 22:37Speaker 3: But that was a wild statement, and maybe it's just
- 22:39Speaker 3: because like faith and religious practice is such an intrigue
- 22:44Speaker 3: of mine. Is when he started by saying, you know,
- 22:48Speaker 3: I have my concerns whatever, whatever, I still have some drinks.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I still like to have a drink, and I like
- 22:52Speaker 2: to have fun.
- 22:54Speaker 3: And immediately the drink thing didn't affect me as much
- 22:57Speaker 3: as the fun thing. And I'm like, you think Mormons
- 22:59Speaker 3: don't have fun, Like, look at this family. Look at
- 23:02Speaker 3: this freaking family. They love each other.
- 23:04Speaker 4: When somebody says to me like, oh, I like to
- 23:07Speaker 4: have a good time or I like to have fun,
- 23:09Speaker 4: I'm like, Okay, who doesn't.
- 23:12Speaker 5: That's my It's always been the way that I find
- 23:15Speaker 5: people coded say I like to party, like I like
- 23:20Speaker 5: to drink a lot and get a little rowdy, unless
- 23:23Speaker 5: you're my.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Wife, who never drinks, and her idea if I said, like,
- 23:27Speaker 3: what do you think is fun, she would say, like
- 23:30Speaker 3: going for a four mile run, coming home and.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Watching a movie with my husband. Literally, that would be same.
- 23:37Speaker 5: That's my fun, except for the run part, more of
- 23:39Speaker 5: like eat on the TV with my husbands.
- 23:42Speaker 4: But I think it's most people's coded way of saying like,
- 23:48Speaker 4: I like to party.
- 23:49Speaker 5: But anyway, I think it's interesting that you and I
- 23:52Speaker 5: both held on to that line so much, and I
- 23:55Speaker 5: wonder if they intended for that to cross people's minds
- 24:00Speaker 5: or whether it's just like a throwaway concerned that he
- 24:02Speaker 5: was just going to air out and like it's no
- 24:04Speaker 5: big deal. I personally think that it was put in
- 24:07Speaker 5: there for a reason.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Because.
- 24:11Speaker 5: My gut is telling me that this is going to
- 24:15Speaker 5: be a bigger deal for him in the long run,
- 24:18Speaker 5: and when it comes down to making his final decision,
- 24:24Speaker 5: this is a huge factor in it. He's like, which
- 24:25Speaker 5: lifestyle can I jive with more? Even though I may
- 24:28Speaker 5: feel it more with that girl. I don't know if
- 24:30Speaker 5: I could do this lifestyle. That's my guess.
- 24:32Speaker 3: There's a few things that they come to mind here,
- 24:34Speaker 3: and I do think this is worth spending some time on, Yeah,
- 24:37Speaker 3: because I think she's going to be a front runner.
- 24:41Speaker 3: He said some things. Then this is why I wish
- 24:44Speaker 3: Grant would ask more questions in the midst of this
- 24:46Speaker 3: kind of conversation, because I think he's an intelligent dude.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I don't know what he feels comfortable asking and not
- 24:53Speaker 3: asking within this environment, and anybody I know that's Mormon
- 24:58Speaker 3: would not mind having any questions asked. So I'm hoping
- 25:02Speaker 3: at some point they kind of tell him you can
- 25:04Speaker 3: ask anything you want about us, like every stereotype that
- 25:08Speaker 3: you've heard from us, every confusing topic that you've tried
- 25:12Speaker 3: to understand from us, Like, you can ask it and
- 25:14Speaker 3: we'll answer it confidently because this is what we've decided
- 25:17Speaker 3: to do. I'm hoping he gets that confidence to ask
- 25:20Speaker 3: the questions that are necessary, because he says a few
- 25:23Speaker 3: things that feel immature when it comes to.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Religious studies.
- 25:30Speaker 3: One is he says, hey, but we still have like
- 25:32Speaker 3: the base faith the same thing, right, Yeah, that's cool,
- 25:36Speaker 3: Like so we're good.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I'm like, that's true, Like.
- 25:39Speaker 3: That isn't wrong, but like that's not the whole scenario, right,
- 25:43Speaker 3: you have to ask more questions to understand what exactly
- 25:46Speaker 3: that base faith looks like, because I want to know
- 25:49Speaker 3: Grant from you, what is your base faith?
- 25:52Speaker 2: So that's a big deal.
- 25:53Speaker 5: His feels more like very general on the surface, and
- 25:58Speaker 5: for her it couldn't be more Or is it bad
- 26:01Speaker 5: to say the word niche?
- 26:03Speaker 3: It's I think niche. I think niche. Well, no, I
- 26:06Speaker 3: think niche and concentrated. There is a face system, So
- 26:12Speaker 3: I think what you're saying is like there is a
- 26:14Speaker 3: system in place that her family follows that is very
- 26:19Speaker 3: specific in particular to.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Why they believe what they believe.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I don't think they're not going to be accepting of Grant,
- 26:27Speaker 3: And I think he should have heard that during this
- 26:30Speaker 3: whole family date, and I think that was very important
- 26:32Speaker 3: for him to hear, is that, Hey, you can come
- 26:36Speaker 3: into this thing man, like we're not asking you to convert.
- 26:38Speaker 3: We're not asking to do anything more than love our
- 26:41Speaker 3: daughter and help start this family that we so believe
- 26:44Speaker 3: in and love. That's the baseline here.
- 26:58Speaker 5: Can we just say how in interesting it would have
- 27:00Speaker 5: been if he would have said, am I expected to
- 27:04Speaker 5: convert if we're going to get married?
- 27:06Speaker 2: I think it's really great question.
- 27:07Speaker 3: I know, an amazing question for him asked is what
- 27:12Speaker 3: are the expectations of me as a partner? Because the
- 27:16Speaker 3: worst case scenario would be that he is surprised by
- 27:20Speaker 3: this at some point in his life. He's just not
- 27:24Speaker 3: asking the questions. And I do think it probably comes
- 27:26Speaker 3: from a place of concern. Is what can I ask
- 27:28Speaker 3: and not ask?
- 27:29Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 27:30Speaker 3: And I think that's very fair. Like Faith has a
- 27:33Speaker 3: lot of like you're fearful of. He kind of see
- 27:38Speaker 3: it when the whole family comes up and he's like,
- 27:39Speaker 3: all right, who.
- 27:40Speaker 2: All here is related?
- 27:44Speaker 5: He was definitely like is there possibly like multiple wives?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Yeah, He's like wanting to ask the questions.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Do I have to have five kids?
- 27:56Speaker 3: Like he should have just asked them to the father
- 27:59Speaker 3: because the father was such a welcoming place and it
- 28:02Speaker 3: felt like in that situation, anything that was on his mind,
- 28:05Speaker 3: he could have asked, like, hey, I like got myself
- 28:09Speaker 3: stuck there at the beginning when everybody come out to
- 28:11Speaker 3: me and been like, who's all related here? That fine question,
- 28:15Speaker 3: great question, But at some point he has to dig
- 28:18Speaker 3: into it. At some point, he has to ask the
- 28:21Speaker 3: questions that so many would probably be wondering outside of
- 28:25Speaker 3: the faith, is is everybody.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Here married to each other? Oh?
- 28:29Speaker 3: No, that's not the case. Okay, cool, Like why have
- 28:32Speaker 3: I heard that my whole life? And then somebody could
- 28:34Speaker 3: explain it to him. Yeah, well, you know, like why
- 28:37Speaker 3: is his family so big? Like that's the fun part
- 28:41Speaker 3: also though, and I don't want to take this for granted,
- 28:44Speaker 3: it's the fun part of like falling in love with
- 28:46Speaker 3: somebody is you get to be be curious about their life.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Listen, so maybe he'll ask it what he's more comfortable.
- 28:52Speaker 5: We are also not maybe giving him the benefit of
- 28:55Speaker 5: the doubt. Perhaps he asked this, he certainly was contemplating
- 28:59Speaker 5: it and maybe felt like it wasn't even appropriate to
- 29:02Speaker 5: talk about on TV mm hm, you know that's fair
- 29:06Speaker 5: or maybe not on the first meeting, which I agree,
- 29:09Speaker 5: like on the first meeting of a family you would
- 29:11Speaker 5: never talk about things like that.
- 29:12Speaker 4: This is just like a bachelor exception.
- 29:15Speaker 3: And let's also give Grant some credit where I think
- 29:18Speaker 3: we've see in the next day, which we'll move on
- 29:19Speaker 3: to now.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Except for can we talk about the grandpa moment.
- 29:23Speaker 2: I love the grandpa.
- 29:24Speaker 4: The grandpa was so which we established he's an oil typhoon.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Yeah, we've we know about him.
- 29:29Speaker 4: He's so wealthy, he's so sweet.
- 29:32Speaker 5: The way that she told him the secret of like
- 29:35Speaker 5: that she was following for him and then he didn't
- 29:36Speaker 5: hear it, and then she just whispered it again.
- 29:39Speaker 4: It was just like the realist, cutest moment.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Well, and it's the grandpa I want to be because
- 29:43Speaker 3: his response to her wasn't oh my gosh, I'm so
- 29:47Speaker 3: excited for you. He's like, I hope it's going to
- 29:48Speaker 3: work out, and like there was a wisdom in every
- 29:51Speaker 3: word he said to her, I wish your grandma could
- 29:54Speaker 3: be here. I haven't seen you be this way with
- 29:57Speaker 3: anybody else. There is these words that he was saying
- 30:00Speaker 3: that came from deep thought and a man that has
- 30:03Speaker 3: practiced thinking before he speaks, and you could tell that
- 30:09Speaker 3: in the midst of that, she felt very comfortable talking
- 30:14Speaker 3: to him about that.
- 30:16Speaker 5: And how sweet was it when she said, like, you know,
- 30:20Speaker 5: he's different than my dad was, the dad that passed
- 30:23Speaker 5: away when she was three months old, just absolutely tragic,
- 30:27Speaker 5: and he goes, yes, your father was so easy to love?
- 30:30Speaker 4: So is to love? Oh?
- 30:33Speaker 3: Okay, final thought on this date, and this is where
- 30:37Speaker 3: my lack of religious knowledge comes in. The mom is
- 30:47Speaker 3: in having a conversation. They talk about fantasy sweets, and
- 30:51Speaker 3: she they talk about fantasy sweets, she says, if he's
- 30:55Speaker 3: you know, intimate with anybody else, it would upset me,
- 30:58Speaker 3: which I think we see is going to be a.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Storyline for the next episode for sure.
- 31:03Speaker 3: I felt like the mom handled this in a way
- 31:06Speaker 3: that I did not expect by saying, have you actually
- 31:10Speaker 3: thought through this? Are you willing to Like I don't
- 31:13Speaker 3: know what her words were exactly, but it's like, pretty much,
- 31:16Speaker 3: are you willing to give him the benefit of the
- 31:18Speaker 3: doubt and open your mind to whatever happens in the
- 31:20Speaker 3: fantasy suites because this is such a unique week now.
- 31:24Speaker 3: That is that to me was a very interesting statement
- 31:28Speaker 3: coming from a storyline where faith has been such a
- 31:32Speaker 3: focus for the last two weeks, because it.
- 31:35Speaker 5: Sounds like the mom would not necessarily encourage her to
- 31:42Speaker 5: shut off if he's intimate with anybody else, exactly like
- 31:45Speaker 5: if he was to be the mom wouldn't hold that
- 31:49Speaker 5: against him necessarily.
- 31:50Speaker 2: That's what I took from it.
- 31:52Speaker 3: That's what I took from it, and I thought that
- 31:54Speaker 3: was one and a healthy perspective from a parent. We
- 31:57Speaker 3: don't hear that very often. So I was like, Mom,
- 32:00Speaker 3: kudos to you. This is such a weird week, Like
- 32:02Speaker 3: what an amazing like mindset you're giving your daughter. Not
- 32:06Speaker 3: that he should be, I'm just saying that you're leaving
- 32:08Speaker 3: her open to make decisions based on whatever happens this
- 32:12Speaker 3: next week. But two, then I had to check it
- 32:15Speaker 3: against the storyline that's been happening for the last two weeks,
- 32:18Speaker 3: which is my family is are very very very faithful conservative,
- 32:25Speaker 3: like foundationally like like practicing their faith. And I thought
- 32:32Speaker 3: that was an incredible like mom moment where she sat
- 32:35Speaker 3: with her daughter more as a friend, as like adult
- 32:39Speaker 3: daughter to friend mom, and just poured wisdom into her
- 32:43Speaker 3: instead of like momming her which I think is so
- 32:46Speaker 3: common during these days and pressuring her to think one way.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I thought her mom in that like, I wanted to
- 32:52Speaker 3: lift her up and be like you, you've not only
- 32:55Speaker 3: implemented this thought to your daughter's head to stay like open,
- 33:00Speaker 3: but also you continue to pour under her where her
- 33:03Speaker 3: values and traditions lie.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yeah, an incredible parenting moment that we can all learn from.
- 33:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree, totally agree, Bravo, perfect words, Ben.
- 33:12Speaker 2: There we go, all right.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Final hometown of this week was one that fell completely
- 33:17Speaker 3: short and obviously left with somebody going home. Didn't expect
- 33:21Speaker 3: her to go home this week, especially after the Zoe date.
- 33:24Speaker 3: As I said, Zoe is very very much now at
- 33:27Speaker 3: this point in Category three. To me, I think there's
- 33:30Speaker 3: no question that when it comes to the finale episode,
- 33:33Speaker 3: we're going to know who the File two are. If
- 33:35Speaker 3: it's not, I'll be shocked. But this date is still
- 33:39Speaker 3: something to talk about because that happened this week.
- 33:42Speaker 2: The family is not for this bachelor situation. Ashley.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I'm going to make a personal statement on this. Yeah,
- 33:50Speaker 3: that again will probably ruffle feathers.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I think I.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Think there's nothing about I think there's nothing good about parenting.
- 34:02Speaker 3: When your child chooses to do something and they've entered
- 34:06Speaker 3: into it to where you say I'm not going to
- 34:08Speaker 3: support it. I think there's only one way that goes,
- 34:11Speaker 3: and that is the child feeling like they're unsupported, which
- 34:14Speaker 3: is how she felt this episode. Yeah, no matter if
- 34:17Speaker 3: you like it or not, even if Grant has to
- 34:19Speaker 3: show up to your house. And you're like, I don't
- 34:20Speaker 3: like the fact that you're dating all these other women.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I don't like the fact that my daughter won on
- 34:24Speaker 3: the show. I don't like the fact that she's even
- 34:27Speaker 3: here with you. I think that's a better scenario, yeah,
- 34:31Speaker 3: than what existed during this episode totally.
- 34:33Speaker 5: You can sense that, even though she's very confident in
- 34:37Speaker 5: her delivery all the time, like this made her feel
- 34:39Speaker 5: like a little bit embarrassed and then it's just going
- 34:41Speaker 5: to brush off really quickly.
- 34:42Speaker 4: I would have at least wished that some of the
- 34:45Speaker 4: siblings she has eleven siblings, and you're telling me that
- 34:48Speaker 4: eleven of them were like, no, we're gonna side with
- 34:52Speaker 4: mom and dad on this. That makes me.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Sad, That makes you do makes me feel like she
- 34:57Speaker 5: is like alone in this, and it makes me really
- 34:59Speaker 5: wonder her decision to go on the show.
- 35:02Speaker 4: She had to have known that her family was so
- 35:04Speaker 4: against it.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Well that's the big question, right, So at some point
- 35:08Speaker 3: this conversation had to have existed between them, and she
- 35:11Speaker 3: chose to still go on the show even without anybody's support.
- 35:15Speaker 2: That's one red flag. I would say.
- 35:18Speaker 3: The second red flag is that, yeah, eleven siblings and
- 35:22Speaker 3: like nobody else wanted to show up to support her.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I think that's not a good move. I'm confused by
- 35:29Speaker 2: this whole situation.
- 35:31Speaker 3: And it felt like it was confusing to her too,
- 35:34Speaker 3: And it did bring insecurity into her, especially when all
- 35:40Speaker 3: the other women are talking about their dates and she's
- 35:42Speaker 3: in there being like, I'm the only one. They didn't
- 35:44Speaker 3: have anybody. I had my friends and I went to
- 35:47Speaker 3: a pumpkin patch. Yeah, and I tried to make the
- 35:49Speaker 3: best of a really bad situation.
- 35:52Speaker 5: Dina, if you're listening this, I mean this to make
- 35:57Speaker 5: you feel better. You were going to get eliminated either way.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I think she sees that now, No, you're right, do
- 36:03Speaker 2: you know what I mean?
- 36:04Speaker 5: Like if your family did show up, Like, I still
- 36:06Speaker 5: think you were going to get eliminated, and maybe you've
- 36:09Speaker 5: been a toss up between you and Zoe, but like
- 36:12Speaker 5: you were making the top two.
- 36:14Speaker 4: What made me feel really awkward about this?
- 36:16Speaker 5: And I know this is maybe tomb but like it's
- 36:19Speaker 5: a hometown episode, right, so you kind of think that
- 36:21Speaker 5: you're gonna do what you would do in your hometown,
- 36:24Speaker 5: show in places that mean something to you. The fact
- 36:26Speaker 5: that they went to the pumpkin patch on top of
- 36:28Speaker 5: her family not being involved made me feel really even
- 36:31Speaker 5: further disconnected to this being a hometown because they went
- 36:35Speaker 5: to something seasonal that she didn't even make it seem
- 36:37Speaker 5: like there was any connection to it, especially since it
- 36:40Speaker 5: said it was a jack o lantern pop up, so
- 36:42Speaker 5: it's not even there all the time.
- 36:44Speaker 4: This is not even like a tradition of hers during
- 36:46Speaker 4: the fall.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Well you heard it, it happened late. I'm guessing the
- 36:51Speaker 3: show like on the way they heard that the family
- 36:54Speaker 3: actually wasn't going to do this, and they're like.
- 36:56Speaker 2: What do we do now?
- 36:57Speaker 3: Okay, who has five hundred pumpkins that week? And by
- 37:00Speaker 3: put up a sign invite the friends, let's figure something out.
- 37:03Speaker 4: I know.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It did feel disconnecting.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I think with your word's there actually like if she
- 37:10Speaker 3: heard this, it's not not true, and I think she
- 37:13Speaker 3: sees it now, right, So, yeah, she wasn't going to
- 37:17Speaker 3: win this thing. It's good that she went home this week.
- 37:20Speaker 3: There's no issues with her now. He loved the idea
- 37:23Speaker 3: of Dina. He was like, I love her passion and
- 37:26Speaker 3: her like drive.
- 37:27Speaker 5: It's like very attractive, but like he didn't feel romance
- 37:33Speaker 5: toward her.
- 37:33Speaker 3: No, But it was a weird date. It was a
- 37:36Speaker 3: date that felt unnecessary. She could have said, Hey, Grant,
- 37:41Speaker 3: how about this, I'll fly to you. How about you
- 37:43Speaker 3: and I have a day together, and I'll introduce you
- 37:46Speaker 3: to five of my closest friends in the city that
- 37:48Speaker 3: we're going to fly to. This felt unnecessary, and it
- 37:51Speaker 3: felt very much like the producers were thrown off guard
- 37:55Speaker 3: at the very end and they had to figure this out.
- 37:59Speaker 5: And then my last comment is that this is also
- 38:01Speaker 5: maybe ridiculous, but like if it didn't happen at a
- 38:04Speaker 5: pumpkin patch and it happened at a bar that they
- 38:06Speaker 5: go too often, I would at least felt like that
- 38:08Speaker 5: was home here.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I'm with you.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Well, at least they could have drinks. The rest of
- 38:15Speaker 3: this episode exists with Joey and Grant sitting down. Not
- 38:18Speaker 3: a lot that comes from that, other than Joey giving
- 38:20Speaker 3: him some sound advice on how to process the next
- 38:23Speaker 3: steps in this relationship. Then we do see the girls
- 38:26Speaker 3: catching up and Dina feeling at that point like she's
- 38:29Speaker 3: the only one who didn't give Grant a true hometown. Well,
- 38:33Speaker 3: Dina ends up going home at the end of this episode,
- 38:36Speaker 3: left with Litia, Juliana, and Zoe moving into the Fantasy
- 38:43Speaker 3: suite week, Ashley, you and I would both agree that
- 38:47Speaker 3: this is a two horse race, right, you're up. It's
- 38:52Speaker 3: Litia is Juliana, and we're gonna figure out who wins
- 38:57Speaker 3: at the end.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Yep.
- 38:59Speaker 5: Like, we say that with such confidence and we're not spoiled. No,
- 39:03Speaker 5: and guess what's happening next week, guys, because this, as
- 39:07Speaker 5: we said last week, this season is two weeks shorter
- 39:10Speaker 5: than a typical Bachelor season. But guess what we get
- 39:14Speaker 5: next week? Women tell all because we needed to put
- 39:18Speaker 5: that there.
- 39:20Speaker 2: It was it was so necessary.
- 39:22Speaker 4: It was way more imperative than Grant having another week
- 39:24Speaker 4: of dates.
- 39:26Speaker 2: I don't get it.
- 39:27Speaker 4: It's so weird. I know it's cheaper for them, but whatever,
- 39:31Speaker 4: we don't need it.
- 39:32Speaker 5: We absolutely do not need two hours of a non
- 39:35Speaker 5: really not that dramatic season being recapped and squawked at.
- 39:39Speaker 2: But we'll watch it. We're gonna break it down right here.
- 39:41Speaker 2: It's almost fantasy.
- 39:41Speaker 5: We will be here, you know we will. We don't
- 39:44Speaker 5: love that one, but we're gonna be here. And I
- 39:47Speaker 5: guess that's it for this episode. We appreciate you guys
- 39:50Speaker 5: listening to us every week until next time I've been Ashley.
- 39:54Speaker 2: And I've been Ben. We'll see you next week.
