Speaker 1: A photo idea to vote is not controversial in this country.
• 0:03
Speaker 1: It is not controversial by party, and it is not
• 0:06
Speaker 1: controversial by race. The vast majority of Americans agree with
• 0:09
Speaker 1: Nicki Minaj that, in fact, you should have a photo
• 0:12
Speaker 1: ideas to be able to vote.
• 0:14
Speaker 2: If you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with

• 0:23
  Speaker 4: First up, the.
• 0:24
Speaker 3: Government shutdown is now over and President Trump had a
• 0:27
Speaker 3: lot to say about what now has been accomplished in
• 0:30
Speaker 3: what you can expect moving forward. We break all that
• 0:33
Speaker 3: down for you in just a moment. Also, there's a
• 0:36
Speaker 3: major war on Capitol Hill on this simple issue of
• 0:40
Speaker 3: voter ID. Well, it's not a war with the American people.
• 0:46
Speaker 3: New data and polling is showing that overwhelming the majority
• 0:50
Speaker 3: of Americans, Conservatives, independence, and liberal are in favor of
• 0:55
Speaker 3: having a show and ID to vote. So why are
• 0:58
Speaker 3: Democrats through few using to back the legislation. We'll break
• 1:02
Speaker 3: that down for you as well. Can you buy real

Speaker 3: seven nine seven eight seven to one. It's the forty
• 1:40
Speaker 3: seven Morning Update and it starts.
• 1:42
Speaker 2: Right now story number one.
• 1:44
Speaker 3: It is signed. President Donald Trump has signed the bill
• 1:47
Speaker 3: to reopen the government following the Democrat government shutdown. It
• 1:52
Speaker 3: was a partial shutdown, but it was a significant moment
• 1:56
Speaker 3: as Republicans went straight to the Oval Office and made
• 1:59
Speaker 3: it very very clear that Americans need to understand what
• 2:02
Speaker 3: is in this bill and what is working for you.
• 2:05
Speaker 3: Speaker Mike Johnson speaking first, saying, this standing next to
• 2:09
Speaker 3: the President in the Oval Office.
• 2:11
  Speaker 4: A big thing.
• 2:12
Speaker 5: It seems like a small thing, but it's a big thing,
• 2:13
Speaker 5: and we're spending less money year over year with all
• 2:16
Speaker 5: the innovations and things that you said there. This is
• 2:18
Speaker 5: good for the country and America is back. The hat
• 2:21
Speaker 5: is appropriate, it's the right right slogan.
• 2:23
Speaker 4: It's a new hat. We just came out. America is
• 2:25
Speaker 4: back books and and stilled.
• 2:27
Speaker 6: Look at her, she's never swell never see her club
• 2:31
Speaker 6: somebody else here her small missus President, and.
• 2:33
Speaker 7: I mentioned that there's significant healthcare reform in this field,
• 2:36
Speaker 7: ABM reform, something that you have been working on, and
• 2:39
Speaker 7: we appreciate and applaud your efforts bringing drug prices down
• 2:44
Speaker 7: for citizens here in America. Not only that, but we
• 2:46
Speaker 7: extended telehealth and also we are addressing maternal mortality in
• 2:52
Speaker 7: this bill. Rural health here has been a big part
• 2:56
Speaker 7: of your of your focus, and we appreciate that.
• 2:58
Speaker 4: Thank you as much. Thank you.
• 3:00
Speaker 6: You know, A very big thing I think for all
• 3:02
Speaker 6: of us is most favored nations on drug pricing. So
• 3:06
Speaker 6: for thirty years I've been talking about it more than that,
• 3:09
Speaker 6: and it's basically we now will take many prescription drugs
• 3:13
Speaker 6: will come down to the lowest price anywhere.
• 3:16
Speaker 4: In the world. So if a country is.
• 3:18
Speaker 6: Selling a pill for ten dollars and we're selling it
• 3:21
Speaker 6: for one hundred and thirty dollars, which is not much
• 3:24
Speaker 6: of an exaggeration at all, we would paying the highest
• 3:28
Speaker 6: drug prices anywhere in the world. Now we'll be paying
• 3:31
Speaker 6: tied with the lowest price. It's most favored nations. We
• 3:34
Speaker 6: will have the lowest price anywhere.
• 3:37
  Speaker 4: In the world.
• 3:37
Speaker 6: So a pill that was for one hundred and thirty
• 3:41
Speaker 6: dollars will be down to twenty dollars.
• 3:43
Speaker 4: So you can make a case that that's eight hundred nine.
• 3:45
Speaker 6: Hundred percent, or like the press likes to hear, it's
• 3:49
Speaker 6: about eighty percent. But we're going to get reductions like
• 3:52
Speaker 6: nobody's ever seen, and frankly, the Republican Party should be
• 3:56
Speaker 6: able to win the midterms on that alone. That's the
• 3:59
Speaker 6: biggest thing there is, Most favored nations. We're going to
• 4:02
Speaker 6: be bringing the price of drugs down. In my first term,
• 4:07
Speaker 6: I got it down one eighth of one percent, and
• 4:09
Speaker 6: I was so proud because it was the first time
• 4:10
Speaker 6: in twenty eight years that drug prices came down. And
• 4:14
Speaker 6: now we're talking about bringing it down by eighty ninety,
• 4:20
Speaker 6: seventy five, sixty eight.
• 4:23
Speaker 4: I have numbers in the back that nobody can believe.
• 4:25
Speaker 6: Most favorite nations, and remember the Republicans did that. The
• 4:29
Speaker 6: Democrats did not do that. Republicans did it. And that's
• 4:32
Speaker 6: going to have a huge impact also in healthcare because medicine,
• 4:36
Speaker 6: I mean, it's a big chunk of healthcare, and if
• 4:39
Speaker 6: you're bringing something down from one hundred dollars down to
• 4:44
Speaker 6: twenty dollars eighteen dollars because we were subsidizing the entire world,
• 4:50
Speaker 6: and frankly, I had to get the countries to go
• 4:52
Speaker 6: along with it, and I had to threaten tariffs against
• 4:55
Speaker 6: them if they didn't approve. And the healthcare companies who
• 4:58
Speaker 6: weren't easy either, but they said it doesn't matter because
• 5:01
Speaker 6: they'll never get the countries because.
• 5:03
Speaker 4: Anyone you want to do it.
• 5:05
Speaker 6: And I got the countries. They got every one of them.
• 5:07
Speaker 6: And really people can't even believe it. But for the
• 5:12
Speaker 6: people standing behind me, if you use that alone, you
• 5:16
  Speaker 6: should win.
• 5:17
Speaker 4: We should win the elections coming up. Anybody else, how
• 5:20
Speaker 4: about on the side.
• 5:22
Speaker 8: Well, you mentioned the IRSs president. Their behavior has been atrocious.
• 5:26
Speaker 8: If you think about leaking your tax returns the tax
• 5:29
Speaker 8: returns of others, never any accountability. I must have questioned
• 5:32
Speaker 8: Jennet yelled four times, five times under oath about this,
• 5:35
Speaker 8: and never an answer. We stipped ten million dollars from
• 5:39
Speaker 8: the IRS in this bill that you just signed. And
• 5:42
Speaker 8: today I launched an investigation with my staff on all
• 5:45
Speaker 8: of these contractors that are associated with the ones that
• 5:48
Speaker 8: allowed your information to be put out, These contractors that
• 5:51
Speaker 8: hire activists to come in and do their work. These
• 5:54
Speaker 8: corporations here in America that bring activists in to do
• 5:58
Speaker 8: their work, that's going.
• 5:59
Speaker 4: To come to an end. They did leak my tax returns.
• 6:02
Speaker 4: It was terrible. The good news is I paid a
• 6:04
Speaker 4: hell of a lot of tax I paid tens of
• 6:07
Speaker 4: millions of dollars. I said, where are my accountants? I
• 6:10
Speaker 4: want to talk to my account But they did. They
• 6:13
Speaker 4: leaked my taxi and they didn't do it in a
• 6:15
Speaker 4: nice way. They can't get something out of it now.
• 6:18
Speaker 4: They have bad people accountabilities coming though.
• 6:20
Speaker 8: You think about the phone companies that leaked our telephone records,
• 6:23
Speaker 8: several of us here right Verizon.
• 6:26
Speaker 4: Lyk my telephone records. You think about what's happened across
• 6:30
Speaker 4: the company. This is going to come to an end.
• 6:32
Speaker 6: We should have voter ID, by the way, We should
• 6:34
Speaker 6: have a lot of the things that I think everybody
• 6:36
Speaker 6: wants to see. Who would not want voter ID only
• 6:40
Speaker 6: somebody that wants to cheat think of it. We don't
• 6:42
Speaker 6: have voter ID, and the Democrats don't want it. And
• 6:46
Speaker 6: the reason they don't want because they want to cheat.
• 6:48
Speaker 6: Because there's no reason in the world. And I love
• 6:52
Speaker 6: that debate Lindsey. I love saying well, why don't you
• 6:55
Speaker 6: want voter ID and you watch them say, I don't know,
• 7:00
Speaker 6: just make them vote.
• 7:01
Speaker 4: Then it's a terrible thing. So anyway, anybody else.
• 7:05
Speaker 9: When mister President, you said you wanted to make America
• 7:07
Speaker 9: safer and more prosperous, and we have done it. More
• 7:11
Speaker 9: prosperity means more money in people's pockets, and they notice
• 7:13
Speaker 9: that every time they go to fill up with gas,
• 7:15
Speaker 9: and they're going to know it when they get their
• 7:17
Speaker 9: tax returns that this year are going to be at
• 7:19
Speaker 9: least one thousand dollars, if not more greater than it's
• 7:22
Speaker 9: been in the past.
• 7:23
Speaker 4: And that's the result of the work that you've done
• 7:25
Speaker 4: with this whole group.
• 7:26
Speaker 9: And in terms of America being safer, a number of
• 7:29
Speaker 9: us were at the border two weeks ago.
• 7:30
Speaker 4: The border is secure, no one is coming.
• 7:33
Speaker 9: Across, not that ten thousand we saw every day with
• 7:36
  Speaker 9: Joe Biden.
• 7:36
Speaker 4: The American people still in overwhelming.
• 7:38
Speaker 9: Numbers, Republicans, Democrats, and independents all say illegal immigrant criminals
• 7:44
Speaker 9: need to be deported.
• 7:45
Speaker 4: And mister President, you're doing that.
• 7:47
Speaker 6: And no tax and tips, notional security, more my people's pockets.
• 7:54
Speaker 6: Thank you, and that was all the great big beauta
• 7:56
Speaker 6: obil as I call it, the great big beauta Mobil.
• 7:58
Speaker 6: To me, that's what it is. And people are starting
• 8:00
Speaker 6: and people are starting to realize it that they're starting
• 8:03
Speaker 6: to see a tax deduction on your if you borrow
• 8:07
Speaker 6: buy a car, if it's made in America. Only if
• 8:09
Speaker 6: it's made in America. The rest we don't care about
• 8:11
Speaker 6: so much. But you buy a car, you get an
• 8:13
Speaker 6: interest deduction. You borrow money, you get an interest in
• 8:16
Speaker 6: tax deduction. And that is you take interest you deducted
• 8:20
Speaker 6: against your you a tax. So to me, that's unbelievable
• 8:25
Speaker 6: for the people, unbelievable for our car companies, which is
• 8:27
  Speaker 6: jobs anybody else.
• 8:29
Speaker 10: The President, the biggest part of this bill is our
• 8:31
Speaker 10: national security right, and thank you. The men and women
• 8:34
Speaker 10: who served this country are grateful to you, and we
• 8:36
Speaker 10: give them a pay raise for helping more ships, as
• 8:38
Speaker 10: you said, planes, missiles. We need to defend this country
• 8:43
Speaker 10: and you're doing a great job and leave us in
• 8:44
  Speaker 10: the right direction.
• 8:45
Speaker 4: Thank you very much. Katie, go ahead, you're going to
• 8:46
Speaker 4: say so, yeah, no, its your president.
• 8:49
Speaker 11: This is just unprecedented leadership. The fact that you've got
• 8:52
Speaker 11: everyone to come together and actually get these bills.
• 8:54
Speaker 4: Across the finish line.
• 8:55
Speaker 11: You heard it from the speaker that that hasn't happened
• 8:57
Speaker 11: in a long time.
• 8:58
  Speaker 4: So ninety six.
• 8:59
Speaker 11: Percent of the government being funded. Your priorities put in place,
• 9:03
Speaker 11: mister President, so that we can make the country safer,
• 9:05
Speaker 11: we can make it more prosperous, and not only can
• 9:08
Speaker 11: we make America great again, but we can telp people
• 9:10
  Speaker 11: now America.
• 9:11
  Speaker 4: Is Yeah, it's a great, it's a great. We'll never
• 9:13
Speaker 4: forget MAGA and we're all with MEGA. But this is
• 9:17
  Speaker 4: very appropriate, right.
• 9:20
Speaker 6: Cindy had come on say something, Well, there's a little
• 9:23
Speaker 6: hospital in here, a rural hospital in Maple, Mississippi, right
• 9:28
Speaker 6: called Franklin County Hospital.
• 9:29
Speaker 5: It would have closed the end of this month without
• 9:32
  Speaker 5: this bill.
• 9:33
Speaker 4: Thank you, Thank you from everybody in Mississippi, especially Franklin County.
• 9:38
Speaker 4: And we've covered the rural very well.
• 9:40
Speaker 6: Nobody ever thought it was possible, because we had a
• 9:42
Speaker 6: lot of opposition from the Democrats, as you know, but
• 9:46
Speaker 6: nobody thought it was possible.
• 9:47
Speaker 4: That's great, how about it? Anybody back there, tom best.
• 9:51
Speaker 6: Budget for Native Americans ever, President, thanks you, so we'll
• 9:57
  Speaker 6: sign it.
• 9:57
Speaker 4: Then, if you would have some questions, if any let me.
• 10:00
Speaker 12: Just figure back this Rule America is taken care of
• 10:04
Speaker 12: it in his bill, and I mean so as as
• 10:07
Speaker 12: Cindy says, so thank you for all America, but especially
• 10:10
  Speaker 12: Rule America.
• 10:11
Speaker 4: Thank you, thank you everybody.
• 10:13
Speaker 3: President Trump there making it very clear it was a
• 10:16
Speaker 3: team effort and so many different issues as you heard
• 10:19
Speaker 3: there with senators around him talking about what is in
• 10:22
Speaker 3: this bill and it's partial shutdown of the Democrats yet
• 10:26
Speaker 3: again trying to hold us hostage. Now it's all over.
• 10:31
Speaker 3: You can go back to work in Congress and do
• 10:33
Speaker 3: your actual job. The President making it clear he's going
• 10:37
Speaker 3: to keep fighting, but he's giving many Americans exactly what
• 10:41
Speaker 3: they need to succeed. And that's exactly what he said
• 10:44
Speaker 3: his plan was when he ran for re election.
• 10:46
Speaker 2: Now, story number two.
• 10:48
Speaker 3: Voter ID laws are something that conservatives, the GOP in general,
• 10:52
Speaker 3: and certainly the President, and I says, America, Donald Trump
• 10:55
Speaker 3: had been focused on because we believe simply, and the
• 10:59
Speaker 3: President has made it clear that every vote should be
• 11:04
Speaker 3: counted and not canceled out by people that are cheating,
• 11:07
Speaker 3: that are lying about who they are, or dead people voting,
• 11:11
Speaker 3: or even stuffing ballot boxes with people that actually had
• 11:14
Speaker 3: no intent of showing up to vote and someone else
• 11:17
Speaker 3: voted on their behalf. Yes, there is voter fraud in
• 11:21
Speaker 3: this country, and if you don't believe me, you can
• 11:24
Speaker 3: just look online at stories and articles of people who
• 11:27
Speaker 3: recently have gone to jail for voter fraud. Now, there's
• 11:32
Speaker 3: also a simple way to overcome this problem, and that
• 11:36
Speaker 3: is by having what now is being referred to as
• 11:39
Speaker 3: a Save Act. The Save Act is very simple. It
• 11:43
Speaker 3: explicitly adds a national photo ID requirement to voting. Congress's
• 11:50
Speaker 3: HR twenty two. The Save Act would require documentary proof
• 11:54
Speaker 3: of US citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections
• 11:59
Speaker 3: as well, and direct states to use certain processes to
• 12:03
Speaker 3: ensure only citizens are on the voter rolls. The Save
• 12:08
Speaker 3: America Act also has been introduced by Representative Chip Roy
• 12:13
Speaker 3: and Senator Mike Lee. It describes as a new and
• 12:18
Speaker 3: improved version that adds a voter ID requirement for voting
• 12:22
Speaker 3: in federal elections while keeping the proof of citizenship requirement
• 12:26
Speaker 3: for registration, in essence taking it a step further. Make
• 12:31
Speaker 3: elections great Again, known as Mega Act, is another GOP
• 12:35
Speaker 3: proposal that includes a national photo ID requirement and other
• 12:40
Speaker 3: election administration changes. The issue also popped up inside broader
• 12:46
Speaker 3: Capitol Hill negotiations, as some Republicans threatened to block a
• 12:51
Speaker 3: shutdown ending deal unless it included citizenship and voter ID provisions.
• 12:57
Speaker 3: Now we know that didn't ultimately happen because the government,
• 13:01
Speaker 3: the partial shutdown is now over. But let me tell
• 13:04
Speaker 3: you what the American people actually think about this. And
• 13:08
Speaker 3: if you want to know what Democrats are doing, well,
• 13:11
Speaker 3: they're certainly not listening to the American people. And even
• 13:15
Speaker 3: CNN is saying overwhelmingly Democrats, Republicans, and independents are in
• 13:23
Speaker 3: favor of photo ID laws.
• 13:27
Speaker 1: Take a look here, favorite photo ID to vote. Eighty
• 13:29
Speaker 1: five percent of white people favorite, eighty two percent of Latino,
• 13:32
Speaker 1: seventy six percent of Black Americans favorite. So the bottom
• 13:36
Speaker 1: line is this, voter ID is not controversial in this country.
• 13:40
Speaker 1: A photo ID to vote is not controversial in this country.
• 13:43
Speaker 1: It is not controversial by party, and it is not
• 13:46
Speaker 1: controversial by race. The vast majority of Americans agree with
• 13:49
Speaker 1: Nicki Minaj that, in fact, you should have a photo
• 13:52
Speaker 1: ID to be able to vote.
• 13:53
Speaker 2: So something of me.
• 13:54
Speaker 3: Now you notice there they didn't even break it down
• 13:57
Speaker 3: by Republican Democrats and independents, they broke it down by race.
• 14:01
Speaker 3: Why did they decide to do that on CNN? For
• 14:04
Speaker 3: one simple reason. Democrats have been saying for decades that
• 14:08
Speaker 3: if you ask a minority for their ID to vote,
• 14:11
Speaker 3: that is somehow racist. And that's exactly how they've been
• 14:15
Speaker 3: able to continue to cheat in elections by saying that
• 14:19
Speaker 3: you are a racist person if you ask a minority
• 14:22
Speaker 3: for their ID to vote. Well, look at the numbers. Now,
• 14:26
Speaker 3: Black voters overwhelmingly seventy six percent, so they want photo
• 14:33
Speaker 3: ID to vote. White's eighty five percent want it, and
• 14:37
Speaker 3: Latinos at eighty two percent. So why would the Democrats
• 14:42
Speaker 3: on the hill still say no, I'll say simply this way,
• 14:47
Speaker 3: it's because they want to be able to still and
• 14:49
Speaker 3: alter election outcomes full stop. In fact, President Trump making
• 14:56
Speaker 3: it clear on the record using this type of data
• 14:59
Speaker 3: to ma his point that yes, the American people want this.
• 15:04
  Speaker 3: It's non political.
• 15:06
  Speaker 4: Who would not.
• 15:07
Speaker 6: Want voter a D Only somebody that wants to cheat
• 15:10
Speaker 6: think of it. But I have voter a D and
• 15:13
Speaker 6: the Democrats don't want it. And the reason they't want
• 15:16
Speaker 6: because they want to cheat. Because there's no reason in
• 15:20
Speaker 6: the world and I love that debate, why don't you
• 15:22
Speaker 6: want voter ID and you watch them say.
• 15:26
  Speaker 4: I don't know it.
• 15:28
Speaker 3: I know why the president knows why. It is because
• 15:31
Speaker 3: Democrats want to be able to cheat. I think it's
• 15:34
Speaker 3: very clear President Trump is not backing down on this,
• 15:37
Speaker 3: and the American people are behind him in a number
• 15:40
Speaker 3: that we don't see hardy ever on any issue.
