- 1:29Speaker 2: After three seasons of Indian matchmaking, Netflix has come out
- 1:32Speaker 2: with a new show, Jewish Matchmaking. Elisa Ben Shalom grew
- 1:35Speaker 2: up in Philadelphia, not quite that Jewish, but married her
- 1:39Speaker 2: husband two decades ago, moved to Israel and became super religious.
- 1:43Speaker 2: She has five children and is now a professional matchmaker
- 1:46Speaker 2: with over 200 weddings under her belt. Is that right?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:50Speaker 2: That's amazing. She stars in this new hit reality show
- 1:54Speaker 2: that dropped in the beginning of May. I'm so excited
- 1:56Speaker 2: to have you to Misunderstood. Thank you for joining us, Aliza.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Thank you for having me.
- 2:00Speaker 2: So where have you been? Where are you coming from?
- 2:03Speaker 4: Flew in yesterday from Israel here in New York for
- 2:06Speaker 4: a couple days and then heading to Philly to do
- 2:07Speaker 4: some events and then coming back next week to New
- 2:10Speaker 4: York to do a big event.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Amazing. Okay, so... Did I get that whole intro right?
- 2:14Speaker 2: Did you grow up in the United States?
- 2:16Speaker 5: Yes.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Tell me about that and how you met your husband.
- 2:19Speaker 3: So I was born and raised in Philadelphia.
- 2:20Speaker 4: I'm the oldest of three children. And my husband and
- 2:24Speaker 4: I met at a Jewish singles retreat.
- 2:28Speaker 3: It was down in Orlando. We left the retreat. We
- 2:30Speaker 3: were each dating other people.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Then we broke up. A couple months later, we started dating.
- 2:35Speaker 3: You're not going to believe this. We dated for three weeks.
- 2:38Speaker 3: We got engaged.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And four months later, we got married. And 20 years later,
- 2:42Speaker 4: we're still married.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Well, how did you know that quick?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:46Speaker 3: That's the big question. How do you have clarity? And
- 2:48Speaker 3: how do you know that it's your person?
- 2:50Speaker 4: So to me, that's like the essence of the work
- 2:53Speaker 4: that I do is knowing who your person is. So
- 2:57Speaker 4: I have different criteria that I run people through. We
- 3:00Speaker 4: want to know the qualities that they're looking for. the
- 3:03Speaker 4: personality that they want. We want to know about the fears,
- 3:06Speaker 4: the things that trigger them, or the things that they
- 3:09Speaker 4: really value.
- 3:10Speaker 3: That's what's very important to them. And we need to
- 3:13Speaker 3: measure that against what works for us. Who am I?
- 3:15Speaker 3: What do I want? Who are you?
- 3:17Speaker 4: And how do you match or mismatch me? And by
- 3:21Speaker 4: going through a whole process of what I would call
- 3:22Speaker 4: soulmate clarity, which is my signature program for how you know,
- 3:27Speaker 4: that's how people tune in to you know, the messages,
- 3:31Speaker 4: what my head is thinking, what my heart is feeling,
- 3:33Speaker 4: but it's, it's things you can't see.
- 3:35Speaker 3: You can't see your thinking. You can't see your feelings.
- 3:38Speaker 4: You can experience them, but to visually represent it, to
- 3:41Speaker 4: understand what's going on in your relationship and make a decision.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yes, you're my person. No, you're not. It's very difficult
- 3:46Speaker 3: to do.
- 3:47Speaker 4: So I have a system that you can actually see
- 3:49Speaker 4: what that, like you can see your thinking.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Right. That's amazing. So I have so many questions about that,
- 3:54Speaker 2: but first, how did you get into matchmaking?
- 3:57Speaker 3: I think I was always a networker, a connector, a
- 4:00Speaker 3: bridge between people.
- 4:02Speaker 4: And I grew up secular. And so in the beginning,
- 4:05Speaker 4: I would just try to set up my friends. It
- 4:07Speaker 4: was kind of just something that came very naturally and
- 4:09Speaker 4: intuitively to me. And then when I became observant in
- 4:12Speaker 4: my mid-20s, I had two little kids at home. And
- 4:15Speaker 4: I started out as a matchmaker on an online dating website.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And the website only has matchmakers. And on that website,
- 4:25Speaker 4: you can just be set up by a matchmaker or
- 4:27Speaker 4: you just sit and wait. There's no swiping. You don't
- 4:29Speaker 4: look for yourself. And so I started to set people
- 4:31Speaker 4: up that way. And I was like, oh, this is good.
- 4:34Speaker 3: This is fun. And then I would call them. I
- 4:36Speaker 3: would coach them. I would mentor them. For me, it
- 4:38Speaker 3: was a whole process.
- 4:39Speaker 4: It wasn't just being what I would call an introducer
- 4:42Speaker 4: and sticking two people together and going, oh, I hope
- 4:44Speaker 4: for the best, but actually helping them navigate their relationship.
- 4:48Speaker 2: How do you get that pool of people? Because I've
- 4:51Speaker 2: had matchmakers come to me before and And the reason
- 4:54Speaker 2: I've always been hesitant is because I know that people
- 4:58Speaker 2: that are men, let's say that are going to the
- 5:00Speaker 2: matchmaker pretty much are single for a reason, right? You know, they, they,
- 5:05Speaker 2: and they have probably not fixed those patterns. And the
- 5:09Speaker 2: reason why I may be still single is because I
- 5:11Speaker 2: haven't fixed the right patterns or I have, and I
- 5:13Speaker 2: haven't found the right person, but You know, when people
- 5:15Speaker 2: are going to you and telling you what they want,
- 5:18Speaker 2: isn't that sort of part of the problem? Because a
- 5:20Speaker 2: lot of us have a bad picker. I know I
- 5:22Speaker 2: have a bad picker. So like, how would you know
- 5:25Speaker 2: when to kind of not look at what they're telling
- 5:27Speaker 2: you and when you know better? You know what I mean?
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a hard balance, right?
- 5:31Speaker 4: My internal judgment, my gut instinct. I like your language
- 5:34Speaker 4: of like a bad picker versus having somebody else make
- 5:37Speaker 4: a decision for you. So I first want to say,
- 5:40Speaker 4: I don't think that anybody going to a matchmaker or
- 5:42Speaker 4: looking for somebody in the world themselves There's something wrong.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Everybody has stuff, right? We've got the good stuff.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yay!
- 5:48Speaker 3: That's what we love about each other. We've got the
- 5:50Speaker 3: other stuff.
- 5:51Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 5:54Speaker 5: for it?
- 5:54Speaker 6: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 5:57Speaker 6: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 6:00Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 6:02Speaker 7: It's Dunediel.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Where?
- 6:06Speaker 7: Dunediel. There's an accent on the E.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 6:10Speaker 7: Yes, I got it on Dundiel Cars.
- 6:12Speaker 6: Lift?
- 6:13Speaker 3: Please.
- 6:14Speaker 5: You're going past Kimmage.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Oh, Kimmage.
- 6:16Speaker 1: No.
- 6:17Speaker 7: Done deal cars.
- 6:18Speaker 8: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 6:21Speaker 3: That's the stuff that you're like, hmm, okay, I'll take it.
- 6:23Speaker 3: It comes with. It's not what I love.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:25Speaker 4: But I don't think that inherently people, you know, this
- 6:30Speaker 4: one has a problem.
- 6:31Speaker 3: That's their problem. If they fix this, then they can
- 6:33Speaker 3: get married. No, we all have our own story.
- 6:35Speaker 4: We have our own situation. And either my story is
- 6:38Speaker 4: going to match and be okay with you or it's
- 6:40Speaker 4: not necessarily going to match and be okay with you.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And therefore, I need to just be open to what
- 6:46Speaker 4: the possibilities are. So working with a matchmaker, to me,
- 6:49Speaker 4: actually levels it up because whatever's been going on, if
- 6:53Speaker 4: somebody's not in a good place, we'll help them to
- 6:56Speaker 4: look better, feel better, think better. If somebody needs therapy
- 6:59Speaker 4: or support, they get it. Not from us, but they
- 7:01Speaker 4: go outside and get it because we say, hey, you're
- 7:03Speaker 4: not in a good place to receive a match. So
- 7:05Speaker 4: we want you to be and let us help you
- 7:06Speaker 4: to get there by making a referral and getting you
- 7:09Speaker 4: the services you need.
- 7:10Speaker 2: So why, for anyone listening, why should somebody use a
- 7:13Speaker 2: matchmaker as opposed to going online and figuring it out themselves?
- 7:16Speaker 2: We're in like this swipe culture that everybody is online now.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I don't really go to bars and sit around and
- 7:21Speaker 2: wait to meet people. And, you know, for me, I
- 7:24Speaker 2: like online dating because you can tell if you have
- 7:27Speaker 2: chemistry without knowing if you have chemistry with what they
- 7:30Speaker 2: look like. I really love if somebody gives good phone
- 7:33Speaker 2: or gives good text is what I like to say, right?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Because then you can see if they banter with you,
- 7:37Speaker 2: if they're available. if they're real, if they get your humor.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And I think it's great to kind of fall for
- 7:44Speaker 2: the personality before you see if you're annoyed with the
- 7:46Speaker 2: way they hold their fork.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I love that.
- 7:49Speaker 2: You do? So I love online dating. It works for me,
- 7:53Speaker 2: but I'm single. So it doesn't completely work because as
- 7:56Speaker 2: you say in your show, you know, all the people
- 7:59Speaker 2: you date are not working until you find your one, right?
- 8:01Speaker 2: So it's obviously not working for me. So tell people
- 8:04Speaker 2: why you think a matchmaker is better than us looking ourselves.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Well, I'm not sure all the time that you need
- 8:11Speaker 4: a matchmaker. You need somebody to be the matchmaker, but
- 8:14Speaker 4: do you need.
- 8:14Speaker 3: A professional matchmaker is the question.
- 8:17Speaker 4: So we also have things like a course called Be
- 8:19Speaker 4: Your Own Matchmaker. Which means, how about if I just
- 8:22Speaker 4: teach you everything that I know, right? You maybe say
- 8:26Speaker 4: you have a.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Bad picker, right? But what if I could help you
- 8:28Speaker 3: to actually have a good picker?
- 8:29Speaker 4: If I could give you two or three tips or
- 8:32Speaker 4: ways of identifying your person, it's kind of like having
- 8:36Speaker 4: the database, the Rolodex, you know, your apps, whatever you're doing.
- 8:39Speaker 4: But if you knew how to search... With my eyes,
- 8:42Speaker 4: you'd probably get better results and then you might not
- 8:44Speaker 4: need to work with me. You can be your own matchmaker.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Somebody would want and need a matchmaker when they don't
- 8:50Speaker 4: want to do it themselves.
- 8:51Speaker 3: It's like a headhunter.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Like I could get myself a job, but I'm tired.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I don't want to put out my dating profile. I
- 8:57Speaker 3: don't want to swipe. I have dating fatigue. It's annoying.
- 9:00Speaker 4: The whole process is irritating. It's like a second job,
- 9:02Speaker 4: which it is. And I just don't want to do
- 9:05Speaker 4: it anymore.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Somebody just do me a favor.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You know what?
- 9:07Speaker 3: Let me have my matchmaker who's my PR person.
- 9:09Speaker 4: You send me on a date, right? I'll get ready
- 9:11Speaker 4: and I'll show up and you do all the effort.
- 9:14Speaker 4: So when you don't want to do the effort on
- 9:16Speaker 4: your own, hire a matchmaker. If you're a DIY, I
- 9:20Speaker 4: can handle it. Then we'll teach you how to be
- 9:21Speaker 4: your own matchmaker and give you better tools and skills.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Right. Got it.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:26Speaker 2: So for the people that are in new relationships right now,
- 9:29Speaker 2: what would you say are the signs of a successful one?
- 9:33Speaker 3: A successful relationship is when we have... Yes, we need
- 9:37Speaker 3: good chemistry. We need to have our values aligned.
- 9:40Speaker 4: What I want, what you want, we're heading in a
- 9:42Speaker 4: similar direction and there's enough of a match that's there.
- 9:46Speaker 4: And we need to make sure especially that whatever's going
- 9:50Speaker 4: on for me internally, my fears, the things that bother
- 9:52Speaker 4: me about you, we're all going to be triggered, right?
- 9:54Speaker 4: But if we're going to talk about a trigger meter,
- 9:56Speaker 4: so we want you to be at low or a
- 9:59Speaker 4: tolerable level. but you can't be highly triggered. So you
- 10:01Speaker 4: know those relationships are together and like, we love each other,
- 10:04Speaker 4: but we love to hate each other.
- 10:05Speaker 3: And they like banter, but they fight all the time.
- 10:08Speaker 4: And you're like, I don't know if you should be together. Yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 4: you probably shouldn't. You should probably break up. You don't
- 10:13Speaker 4: Either that or you should get better skills for communicating
- 10:16Speaker 4: with your partner. And when we do those things, then
- 10:20Speaker 4: we can elevate our relationship. But if you're spiking out,
- 10:23Speaker 4: it's not a healthy relationship.
- 10:25Speaker 2: What have you found in all the time you've spent
- 10:27Speaker 2: with couples or individuals as well? What are the two
- 10:31Speaker 2: biggest qualities people are looking for in a relationship?
- 10:35Speaker 4: A lot of people want respect. I want to be
- 10:37Speaker 4: respected for who I am. I want you to understand
- 10:39Speaker 4: who I am. I want you to, it all goes
- 10:42Speaker 4: also around connecting to me. Like a part of respect
- 10:45Speaker 4: is all tied into that. And the other thing is
- 10:48Speaker 4: that people make an effort and they want to receive
- 10:53Speaker 4: effort from the other side. So not that it's one
- 10:56Speaker 4: for one because relationships don't work that way. But in Judaism,
- 10:59Speaker 4: we know that the root of the word love in Hebrew, ahava,
- 11:03Speaker 4: is to give. And a lot of people feel I'm giving,
- 11:07Speaker 4: I'm giving, I'm giving, but my partner is not giving
- 11:09Speaker 4: back to me. Well, sometimes they're giving, but they're not
- 11:11Speaker 4: giving in the way that you want to receive.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:13Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 11:16Speaker 5: for it?
- 11:16Speaker 6: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 11:19Speaker 6: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else.
- 11:22Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 11:24Speaker 7: It's Dunediel.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Where?
- 11:28Speaker 3: Dunediel.
- 11:29Speaker 7: There's an accent on the E.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 11:32Speaker 7: Yes, I got it on Dundiel Cars.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Lift?
- 11:35Speaker 5: Please. You going past Kimmage?
- 11:37Speaker 7: Oh, Kimmage.
- 11:38Speaker 1: No.
- 11:39Speaker 7: Don't deal cars.
- 11:40Speaker 8: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 11:43Speaker 3: That's a problem.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Or sometimes they're really not giving. They're not such a
- 11:46Speaker 4: generous human, and it's difficult for them. So I think
- 11:50Speaker 4: that giving is at the root of building a relationship,
- 11:54Speaker 4: building love, and having it last for a lifetime.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Is there a common thing that you think holds people
- 12:00Speaker 2: back from being in a successful relationship? Like, for example,
- 12:03Speaker 2: when I was watching the show, and as I know
- 12:05Speaker 2: from being.
- 12:08Speaker 2: A human, a lot of people are mostly attracted at
- 12:11Speaker 2: the beginning to things that maybe they shouldn't be. So
- 12:14Speaker 2: they're looking a lot at looks, or they have a
- 12:16Speaker 2: type that they think is super attractive. And it's all
- 12:19Speaker 2: about what they think is the chemistry right off the bat.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I mean, what do you think about that?
- 12:24Speaker 4: I think that we initially look for a match with
- 12:27Speaker 4: our eyes.
- 12:29Speaker 3: And I love what you said, right?
- 12:30Speaker 4: Like, I want to have a phone or a text conversation.
- 12:34Speaker 4: It's almost like you know, pod dating and not seeing anybody.
- 12:38Speaker 4: And I just, I want to connect with your insides.
- 12:40Speaker 4: And then I want to see your outsides and come
- 12:42Speaker 4: to appreciate who you are.
- 12:44Speaker 3: But it takes patience. It takes time.
- 12:47Speaker 4: It takes a little bit of tweaking, meaning for me,
- 12:49Speaker 4: it's going to be a slow grow sometimes because you
- 12:51Speaker 4: might meet somebody in person and you might have fallen
- 12:54Speaker 4: in love with the inside and feel deeply connected.
- 12:56Speaker 3: But on the outside, you're going....
- 13:00Speaker 4: Not exactly my look, not exactly what I wanted. Like, oh,
- 13:04Speaker 4: there are people that are more beautiful than you out there.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Maybe I should keep looking.
- 13:08Speaker 3: But if they.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Treat you really well, then there aren't people that are
- 13:12Speaker 4: going to be more beautiful on the inside and you
- 13:13Speaker 4: should consider sticking with them.
- 13:14Speaker 2: It's so true because I have dated men who started
- 13:19Speaker 2: as friends for, you know, like been friends with them
- 13:21Speaker 2: for like a year and.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Those are the best, by the way.
- 13:25Speaker 7: Yes.
- 13:25Speaker 3: You should marry one of them.
- 13:26Speaker 2: To have a friend first. Yes. Yes. Because then they
- 13:29Speaker 2: know everything about you, right?
- 13:30Speaker 4: And they love you and they accept you for who
- 13:32Speaker 4: you are and they actually deeply care about you.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:35Speaker 3: And it's just a matter of leveling the relationship up.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Right. And there's like no secrets kind of. You know
- 13:40Speaker 2: who they've dated. You know what they like and what
- 13:42Speaker 2: they don't like. And you end up being together. But
- 13:46Speaker 2: I dated people in the past where I've dated them
- 13:48Speaker 2: for a long time. I've been friends with them for
- 13:50Speaker 2: a long amount of time and then they become so
- 13:54Speaker 2: much more attractive to me. And the reason why I
- 13:56Speaker 2: didn't date them at the beginning was because I didn't
- 13:58Speaker 2: find them attractive at all. And then all of a sudden,
- 14:00Speaker 2: you know, you find that you're like so in love
- 14:03Speaker 2: with this person and you don't even see this person
- 14:06Speaker 2: that might. be as ugly as a troll but like
- 14:09Speaker 2: you know that doesn't matter all they're so beautiful to
- 14:12Speaker 2: you and they make you feel so good and it
- 14:14Speaker 2: doesn't matter if a supermodel's next to them that's your
- 14:17Speaker 2: person and that's happened to me where I've really been
- 14:20Speaker 2: in love with someone who is not the most attractive
- 14:23Speaker 2: person in the room but just makes me feel so
- 14:26Speaker 2: good and is so funny or they have great qualities
- 14:29Speaker 2: like that I think that's really important so how did
- 14:31Speaker 2: you get on the show A matchmaker.
- 14:33Speaker 7: Really?
- 14:36Speaker 3: One of my matchmaker colleagues.
- 14:38Speaker 4: We were doing webinars and we were doing trainings. We
- 14:41Speaker 4: also do trainings for matchmakers and coaches. We were doing singles,
- 14:44Speaker 4: online dating events, a lot during Corona. And she calls
- 14:48Speaker 4: me and she goes, Aliza, there's this show. And casting
- 14:51Speaker 4: called me. I don't want to be on it.
- 14:53Speaker 3: But we've been doing these videos together. And you're good
- 14:56Speaker 3: on the spot. They can ask you anything. And you
- 14:57Speaker 3: just have an answer. You should do it. I gave
- 14:59Speaker 3: them your number. Oh, my gosh. So a matchmaker made
- 15:02Speaker 3: the match.
- 15:03Speaker 2: And were you hesitant? Or you're like, yeah, I'm in.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I said, I want to know more.
- 15:07Speaker 4: I want to hear what's the company and what's the
- 15:09Speaker 4: show and what's the angle, what's the direction. When I
- 15:11Speaker 4: heard it was about Indian matchmaking, it was the spinoff
- 15:14Speaker 4: of that. And it was going to be the Jewish
- 15:17Speaker 4: matchmaking show. I had already binged the show. And I said, wow,
- 15:20Speaker 4: they did that so beautifully. The production company, they do.
- 15:25Speaker 3: It from a docu-reality style. So it's really documentary style.
- 15:28Speaker 3: They want the truth. They want to know what's going
- 15:30Speaker 3: on behind the scenes. But it's still a reality show.
- 15:33Speaker 3: And I said, you know what? That's the perfect blend.
- 15:36Speaker 3: And there's always an amount of hesitation because everybody has
- 15:39Speaker 3: rights to do it.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Once you sign on the dotted line, they could do
- 15:42Speaker 4: anything to you. But I knew the intention behind it.
- 15:45Speaker 4: And I said, OK, well, if I hold myself to
- 15:47Speaker 4: my own standard and I represent myself well and I
- 15:51Speaker 4: pray really hard, I think.
- 15:52Speaker 3: It's going to turn out well. That's great.
- 15:54Speaker 2: And it did. As I was telling you before we started,
- 15:56Speaker 2: I watched the first episode and then binged the seven
- 16:00Speaker 2: other ones because it was so good. I couldn't stop.
- 16:03Speaker 2: And I'm not a full Jew. So it's for anyone who,
- 16:06Speaker 2: you don't have to be Jewish to be watching it.
- 16:09Speaker 2: So did you cast this group yourself or was there
- 16:12Speaker 2: help from Netflix?
- 16:13Speaker 4: So they did a casting, open casting call and took
- 16:17Speaker 4: everybody in. And then, you know, they had their top picks,
- 16:19Speaker 4: but they did run ideas by me and said, you know,
- 16:22Speaker 4: what do you think and who would you like to
- 16:23Speaker 4: work with?
- 16:24Speaker 3: And so it was a collaborative process.
- 16:26Speaker 4: They ultimately make the final decision of who my main
- 16:29Speaker 4: clients are that I'm working with.
- 16:31Speaker 3: But in terms of the daters and once I set
- 16:33Speaker 3: people up, I could choose from my own.
- 16:36Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 16:39Speaker 5: for it?
- 16:40Speaker 6: This exclusive place that Dada's connections with. They have more
- 16:43Speaker 6: cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 16:45Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 16:47Speaker 7: It's Dunediel.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Where?
- 16:51Speaker 7: Dunediel.
- 16:52Speaker 8: There's an accent on the E.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 16:56Speaker 7: Yes, I got it on Dunediel Cars.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Lift?
- 16:58Speaker 7: Please.
- 16:59Speaker 5: You going past Kimmage?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Oh, Kimmage.
- 17:01Speaker 1: No.
- 17:03Speaker 8: Dunediel Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Database from anybody in the whole world. And it was
- 17:08Speaker 3: just a matter of who was really a good match.
- 17:10Speaker 2: OK, so the people, the couples that we see on
- 17:13Speaker 2: the show and the individuals, are they all people that
- 17:16Speaker 2: you actually picked to be with that person?
- 17:20Speaker 6: Right.
- 17:20Speaker 3: So some of them, just for example, Stuart dated Pamela.
- 17:23Speaker 3: She's a comedian.
- 17:24Speaker 4: She does advocacy work. And I had met her like
- 17:27Speaker 4: eight years ago at an event and I was.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Like, you are fabulous.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Can I set you up? She's like, I'm not dating now.
- 17:31Speaker 4: And I called her back and I was like, okay,
- 17:33Speaker 4: now I want to set you up, but can you
- 17:35Speaker 4: do it on television?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Right. Was she nervous?
- 17:38Speaker 3: She was, she said, what? And then we dug into
- 17:42Speaker 3: it a little bit more.
- 17:43Speaker 4: And because I think because I have a good relationship
- 17:46Speaker 4: with people and people know me and they trust me.
- 17:48Speaker 4: They say, okay, if you're in and you're the matchmaker,
- 17:52Speaker 4: then I'll be in. I believe that if you're doing something,
- 17:55Speaker 4: it's going to be good. It's going to be kosher,
- 17:56Speaker 4: so to speak.
- 17:57Speaker 3: And I would be proud and happy to be a
- 17:59Speaker 3: part of it.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Oh, that's great. So you bring up a lot of
- 18:03Speaker 2: sort of quotes in your show. Tell me about date
- 18:05Speaker 2: them till you hate them.
- 18:07Speaker 3: First of all, do not misunderstand me, right? Misunderstood. I
- 18:11Speaker 3: don't ever want anybody to hate anybody. It's just a
- 18:15Speaker 3: very loving, playful way to say it. Give somebody a chance.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Like you said, let them grow on you. Let me
- 18:22Speaker 4: have a phone conversation and connect to the person and
- 18:25Speaker 4: the personality before my eyes.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Feast on you. Because the eyes are very deceiving. We
- 18:31Speaker 3: like what we see.
- 18:33Speaker 4: You're always going to see somebody more appealing than you,
- 18:36Speaker 4: whatever you have. Even when you get married, it doesn't
- 18:39Speaker 4: go away. It's not like you're going to get married
- 18:41Speaker 4: and your person will be the most appealing person to you.
- 18:43Speaker 3: You will still look around and go, hmm.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Right. Right.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Hot.
- 18:46Speaker 3: He's just hot. You know, just just to tell you,
- 18:49Speaker 3: you're not going to that's not going to go away.
- 18:51Speaker 4: But the value in the person that you have exponentially
- 18:55Speaker 4: goes up and it always increases and you go, wow. loving, supportive, caring,
- 19:00Speaker 4: kind partner. This person is by my side.
- 19:02Speaker 3: They get me. They know me. They love me. I
- 19:05Speaker 3: love them. We've built so much together.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Wow.
- 19:08Speaker 3: And that, there's nothing more appealing than that.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Right. And they're like a witness to your life. I
- 19:13Speaker 2: love that concept.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 19:15Speaker 2: My issue is that I will go out on one
- 19:17Speaker 2: date with somebody and if it isn't like sparks and
- 19:20Speaker 2: I feel like I've known them forever, I'm like, forget it.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I'm not giving them a second chance. I'm like a
- 19:24Speaker 2: total shredder of men, you know, and I don't I'm
- 19:27Speaker 2: not fair. It's really.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Are you willing to change?
- 19:29Speaker 2: I am willing.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yes, I would love to.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Work on that with you. But that's definitely my issue
- 19:34Speaker 2: that I feel like there there's no need for a
- 19:36Speaker 2: second date. So I loved learning from your show that
- 19:39Speaker 2: I really need to give people a chance because, of course,
- 19:42Speaker 2: how would I know them after two hours?
- 19:44Speaker 4: And maybe for you, starting on the phone or with
- 19:46Speaker 4: texting is a good thing because it's kind of like
- 19:48Speaker 4: a love is blind thing.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Where we don't see each.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Other you maybe have seen a photo so you know
- 19:52Speaker 4: something but I would tell you also don't google stalk
- 19:55Speaker 4: them just let it be get to know the person
- 19:58Speaker 4: and see if there's chemistry and then when you meet
- 20:00Speaker 4: them in.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Person and you're like whoo It throws you for a loop.
- 20:03Speaker 4: I've had people that I've worked with over years and
- 20:05Speaker 4: I don't, I haven't seen them. I just have virtually
- 20:08Speaker 4: spoken to them. And then when I see them in person,
- 20:10Speaker 4: my brain actually, I'm like, wait, talk. I'm closing my eyes. Talk.
- 20:13Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 20:14Speaker 7: Oh, there you are.
- 20:15Speaker 6: Right?
- 20:15Speaker 3: And then I open my eyes and I'm like, oh,
- 20:16Speaker 3: your face does not look familiar to me. You don't
- 20:20Speaker 3: feel comfortable to me. But when I close my eyes,
- 20:23Speaker 3: I feel you.
- 20:24Speaker 5: I know you.
- 20:25Speaker 3: So I would tell you to try that.
- 20:26Speaker 5: Okay.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Thank you. You also talk in the show about the
- 20:29Speaker 2: no touching rule. Tell everybody about that. And I'm not
- 20:32Speaker 2: going to botch the way you say it. How do
- 20:33Speaker 2: you say it?
- 20:34Speaker 3: It's called Shomar Nigia.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:36Speaker 3: And it's about guarding our touch. And I think this
- 20:40Speaker 3: gets like a lot of kickback and people are like, what?
- 20:43Speaker 4: Because I know what people are doing. They're sleeping with
- 20:45Speaker 4: each other on a first, second or third date. And
- 20:48Speaker 4: that's just what's happening in the world. So I introduce
- 20:52Speaker 4: this as a challenge to anybody and to the entire world.
- 20:55Speaker 4: And I will challenge you also.
- 20:56Speaker 3: You can decide to take it or not.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Try dating somebody and tell them, you know, I'm following
- 21:01Speaker 4: Aliza's cockamamie crazy little thing.
- 21:03Speaker 3: And we're not going to touch for five dates.
- 21:05Speaker 4: If we still choose to date each other after five dates,
- 21:07Speaker 4: whatever happens, Aliza looks away. But try dating and don't
- 21:11Speaker 4: touch each other for five dates. Number one, if you
- 21:14Speaker 4: like them, you'll still like them after five dates. If
- 21:17Speaker 4: you restrain and hold yourself back, what happens? Actually, the
- 21:21Speaker 4: sexual chemistry and the tension between you builds. So as
- 21:26Speaker 4: much as you're drawn to the person on a first,
- 21:28Speaker 4: a second, a third date, by the fifth date, if
- 21:30Speaker 4: you have not touched them, you're going to be going
- 21:33Speaker 4: crazy if it's an excellent match.
- 21:35Speaker 3: And what I know is you touched hearts first. I
- 21:38Speaker 3: know you like each other.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I know you like the personality and I know you
- 21:41Speaker 4: like what's going on because you didn't touch them and
- 21:43Speaker 4: you stuck around.
- 21:44Speaker 3: For five dates. And if you don't like them, so
- 21:47Speaker 3: why do I have to be touching everybody in the world?
- 21:49Speaker 3: Like you don't have access to me.
- 21:50Speaker 4: It's kind of like, You know, like you go to
- 21:53Speaker 4: a celebrity party and not everybody gets to meet and
- 21:55Speaker 4: greet and shake hands.
- 21:56Speaker 3: You just like wave from afar and take a photo, right?
- 21:58Speaker 3: That's it.
- 21:59Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 22:02Speaker 5: for it?
- 22:03Speaker 6: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 22:05Speaker 6: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 22:08Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 22:10Speaker 7: It's Dunaidial.
- 22:12Speaker 5: Where?
- 22:14Speaker 7: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E.
- 22:18Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 22:19Speaker 7: Yes, I got it on Dundiel Cars.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Lyft?
- 22:20Speaker 2: Lyft?
- 22:21Speaker 7: Please.
- 22:22Speaker 5: You're going past Kimaj?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Oh, Kimage.
- 22:24Speaker 7: No. Done deal, cars.
- 22:27Speaker 8: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 22:29Speaker 3: We meet and greet, and if we have a connection, great.
- 22:31Speaker 4: After five dates, if there's something there, I did you
- 22:34Speaker 4: a favor, because the chemistry that you're going to have
- 22:36Speaker 4: on date six, I'm just.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Telling you, it's better than any date two.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I get it. But I think, do a lot of
- 22:42Speaker 2: women complain to you that, oh, I'm not sure the
- 22:44Speaker 2: guy will stay around that long? I mean, there's so
- 22:46Speaker 2: many options.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and do you know what all the men tell me?
- 22:48Speaker 4: Because I work with tons of men. They're like, if
- 22:51Speaker 4: I'm interested, oh, yeah. They go, I would stick around
- 22:54Speaker 4: for 10 dates.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Wow.
- 22:56Speaker 4: 10 dates. They would stay around for any amount of time.
- 22:58Speaker 4: If you don't want to do five dates, try three.
- 23:00Speaker 4: If you can't handle three, try two. It's a concept,
- 23:04Speaker 4: but I'm just telling you, it lures people in and it.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Draws them in.
- 23:09Speaker 4: It also separates the men from the boys and the
- 23:12Speaker 4: girls from the women.
- 23:14Speaker 3: You also don't know.
- 23:15Speaker 4: How else are you going to gain clarity? Do you
- 23:17Speaker 4: know if you like them because you like how they
- 23:19Speaker 4: touched you on the inside or on the outside?
- 23:21Speaker 3: I know after five dates, you like both.
- 23:24Speaker 7: I know.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Got it.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I know because you'll end up touching and hopefully that'll work.
- 23:28Speaker 4: And you'll have already connected personality, values, goals. And if
- 23:32Speaker 4: you're not busy touching, you are going to be busy talking.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Now, may I ask you a personal question? Did you
- 23:38Speaker 2: follow that with your husband?
- 23:40Speaker 5: I did. Wow.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I did.
- 23:41Speaker 3: So we did. Well, so and we had a short
- 23:43Speaker 3: dating engagement here, but we dated for three weeks. We
- 23:45Speaker 3: got engaged.
- 23:46Speaker 4: And the first time that we touched was under the
- 23:48Speaker 4: wedding canopy. After like at the end of the Jewish ceremony,
- 23:51Speaker 4: you break a glass. And it's like mazel tov. Everybody's
- 23:55Speaker 4: so excited.
- 23:55Speaker 3: They take the bride and the groom off to a
- 23:57Speaker 3: private room. But just before that, he grabbed my hand.
- 24:00Speaker 3: He held my hand. Forget about a first kiss. He
- 24:02Speaker 3: held my hand. I was like, oh.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:05Speaker 3: It was a moment. Imagine marrying somebody that you never touched. Everybody,
- 24:10Speaker 3: try it before you buy it.
- 24:11Speaker 2: No.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Wow.
- 24:11Speaker 2: That's amazing. I love that you're still together. I think
- 24:14Speaker 2: that's amazing.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, 20 years.
- 24:16Speaker 2: So you talked earlier about the word soulmates. Do you
- 24:19Speaker 2: believe in soulmates?
- 24:20Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 24:20Speaker 3: 100%. We're a body and we're a soul. Otherwise, what
- 24:23Speaker 3: are we? We're just a body in this world.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Soulmates, in the name of what it is, says that
- 24:29Speaker 4: we exist more than just where we live today and
- 24:33Speaker 4: that there's a connection.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Now, do you think everyone only has one? And if
- 24:37Speaker 2: they've missed out on this one, it's all over? So
- 24:39Speaker 2: tell me about that.
- 24:40Speaker 4: So you can only have one soulmate at a time.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 24:44Speaker 4: But as long as like when you get married, that's
- 24:47Speaker 4: your soulmate. In that minute that you decide that you're
- 24:49Speaker 4: going to get married, this is your person.
- 24:51Speaker 3: You go through the whole ceremony, the end of the ceremony.
- 24:53Speaker 3: That is your person. That is your soulmate. Before then,
- 24:55Speaker 3: they're just a potential soulmate. So if you're dating somebody,
- 24:57Speaker 3: you're like, this is my soulmate. We're going to get married. No, actually,
- 25:00Speaker 3: the proper language is that it's your potential soulmate. You
- 25:03Speaker 3: choose to get married. In that moment, it is your soulmate.
- 25:06Speaker 5: If.
- 25:07Speaker 4: There's a divorce or somebody passes away or whatever, now
- 25:10Speaker 4: your soulmate's no longer here or no longer.
- 25:12Speaker 3: With you in this world.
- 25:13Speaker 4: You can choose to be with somebody else and then
- 25:15Speaker 4: you have another soulmate.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Okay.
- 25:17Speaker 2: I love that idea. Who are some of your favorites
- 25:20Speaker 2: on the show?
- 25:22Speaker 3: I love everybody.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Well, let me rephrase that. Is there one couple that
- 25:26Speaker 2: you're rooting for or you'd like to see? And it
- 25:28Speaker 2: doesn't have to be a couple, but was there an
- 25:30Speaker 2: individual too that was your favorite that you really want
- 25:32Speaker 2: to see get married?
- 25:33Speaker 4: I think that Shia and Faye, who are the observant
- 25:38Speaker 4: Orthodox couple that's on the show.
- 25:39Speaker 2: They were my favorite, by the way.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I think everybody is rooting for them. First of all,
- 25:44Speaker 3: a lot of people said to me, Aliza, I thought
- 25:45Speaker 3: this was an Orthodox dating show.
- 25:47Speaker 4: I said, no, this is a Jewish matchmaking show and
- 25:51Speaker 4: we have Jews from all over.
- 25:52Speaker 3: But The expectation was that.
- 25:54Speaker 4: There was going to be a lot of Orthodox dating.
- 25:56Speaker 4: And then there ended up being one Orthodox couple and
- 25:59Speaker 4: other traditional couples. And so I think people were looking
- 26:02Speaker 4: for that moment. And they just had a beautiful interaction.
- 26:07Speaker 4: You could see that there was chemistry, that there was
- 26:10Speaker 4: playfulness on the screen, that there was just something there.
- 26:13Speaker 3: And to me, we were all rooting for them.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I also liked Noah. I felt like he needs an
- 26:19Speaker 2: impressive woman because his mom is a diplomat, right? Is that?
- 26:22Speaker 7: Right.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Noah from Israel, from Tel Aviv.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I really liked him. And we don't see at the
- 26:27Speaker 2: end if he ends up with the girl. And now
- 26:29Speaker 2: I'm forgetting. He went on three dates, right? Yes, yes.
- 26:31Speaker 2: She was beautiful. But I felt like for him, he
- 26:34Speaker 2: needs like a really impressive woman or girl.
- 26:37Speaker 6: Right.
- 26:37Speaker 4: He needs somebody who can carry themselves. And for me,
- 26:40Speaker 4: I met him and.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I got like a little bit of a backstory. You
- 26:43Speaker 3: get a little profile, a mini video. And I'm thinking,
- 26:45Speaker 3: oh my gosh. you want me to have a Jewish
- 26:47Speaker 3: matchmaking show and you want like, you know.
- 26:48Speaker 4: A mazel tov to come out of this and you're
- 26:51Speaker 4: setting me up with somebody who's like, You know, party boy, 24,
- 26:53Speaker 4: Tel Aviv. And I met him and he was so
- 26:57Speaker 4: mature in his thinking, in how he presented himself.
- 27:00Speaker 3: He really leveled up and I was very impressed by him.
- 27:04Speaker 4: But I totally agree with you that he needs somebody
- 27:07Speaker 4: who can carry herself because he carries himself very well.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That and also because he comes from growing up knowing
- 27:13Speaker 2: his mother was so powerful. I think you kind of
- 27:16Speaker 2: associate one with the other.
- 27:18Speaker 6: Right.
- 27:19Speaker 2: So is there going to be a reunion? Are we
- 27:20Speaker 2: going to find out where everybody is today?
- 27:23Speaker 3: There will be an update online and I think it
- 27:27Speaker 3: should come out shortly to give you the scoop.
- 27:30Speaker 2: We will look for that. What is your advice for
- 27:32Speaker 2: people still looking right now?
- 27:35Speaker 4: I would love if people would do a reassessment, right?
- 27:38Speaker 4: Take a look in the mirror. Not who you were,
- 27:40Speaker 4: not where you came from. Don't tell me what your
- 27:41Speaker 4: mother wants for you or your sister or your best friend.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Who are you today? What do you really want? And
- 27:47Speaker 3: in the next two years, what are you willing to
- 27:50Speaker 3: do to make that happen? For some people, they're going
- 27:53Speaker 3: to say, oh, I've been doing everything. OK, great. Go
- 27:54Speaker 3: on a vacation. You need a break.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Other people are like, well, I haven't been so serious
- 27:58Speaker 4: about it. I really need to focus on it.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Great.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Focus on it.
- 28:01Speaker 4: If you've done a good amount of things, level up. Online,
- 28:05Speaker 4: if you're online, because most people are, the algorithm doesn't
- 28:08Speaker 4: recognize you as new because probably your photo's been there
- 28:11Speaker 4: for two or three years or at least two or
- 28:12Speaker 4: three months. I would tell people to put on new
- 28:15Speaker 4: photos every three months. I would tell them to switch
- 28:18Speaker 4: the write-up and the little catchphrase that they say, whatever
- 28:20Speaker 4: it is about themselves, switch that approximately every three.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Months, but alternate. So in three months, switch your photo.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Wait another month and a half or two, switch the write-up.
- 28:28Speaker 3: The algorithm then is like, ooh, like new information. You
- 28:31Speaker 3: almost appear like a new person, and then you get
- 28:33Speaker 3: promoted a little bit more.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Not that I'm a techie or anything, but that's what
- 28:37Speaker 4: we've been doing, and that's what seems to work online.
- 28:39Speaker 4: And if you need support, get support either matchmaking.com. or
- 28:44Speaker 4: coaching support or be your own matchmaker. We can train
- 28:47Speaker 4: you how to do exactly what we're doing so that you, again,
- 28:49Speaker 4: level up and that you're really smart about the process.
- 28:52Speaker 2: So like many people listening, I'm on my second act
- 28:56Speaker 2: of life. I'm not young like a lot of people
- 28:58Speaker 2: in your show. I'm 48. I've been divorced twice. I
- 29:02Speaker 2: did marry a Jewish man, so I'm used to the
- 29:04Speaker 2: whole Huppah thing and whatever. But I am only half Jewish.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I have a kid. I have two dogs. Is it
- 29:11Speaker 2: too late for us? Is there hope for someone like me?
- 29:14Speaker 3: My oldest client was 89, and she fell in love.
- 29:16Speaker 2: No way. Did she get married?
- 29:19Speaker 3: I don't know that they got married, but they were dating,
- 29:21Speaker 3: and they were, you know. A couple. Yeah, they were
- 29:24Speaker 3: a couple.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Wow.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 29:26Speaker 2: So it's never too late. Never, never, never, never, never.
- 29:30Speaker 3: As long as you want it, you should.
- 29:31Speaker 5: Go for it.
- 29:32Speaker 2: And there's someone for everyone, right?
- 29:33Speaker 3: Of course. There's more than one someone. There's a lot
- 29:36Speaker 3: of people you could pick.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I hope that my match is out there listening right now.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Where can people find you if they want a matchmaker?
- 29:43Speaker 4: They can find me at my website at marriagemindedmentor.com. Or
- 29:49Speaker 4: if that's too confusing, just do elizabenshalom.com.
- 29:52Speaker 3: It'll redirect you and get you there.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Do you have to be Jewish? Do you accept shiksas?
- 29:59Speaker 4: So we work with Jewish clients for the matchmaking piece
- 30:02Speaker 4: because our network is strongest there.
- 30:04Speaker 3: But we collaborate and.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Work with– we have over 1,000 matchmakers in our reach
- 30:09Speaker 4: across the world globally. And we have Jewish and non-Jewish matchmakers.
- 30:14Speaker 4: So if you want matchmaking and we can't support you,
- 30:18Speaker 4: then we will refer you out to one of our friends.
- 30:20Speaker 4: If you want coaching support or being your own matchmaker,
- 30:22Speaker 4: anybody can do that. You don't have to be Jewish
- 30:24Speaker 4: for those services. We don't have a large enough pool
- 30:27Speaker 4: outside of the Jewish network, so we bring in our
- 30:30Speaker 4: non-Jewish matchmaking friends.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Right. Did you love doing the show?
- 30:34Speaker 3: Loved it. It was probably the best job ever.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Oh, good. Do you think there's going to be a
- 30:38Speaker 2: second season?
- 30:39Speaker 5: I do.
- 30:40Speaker 7: Oh, good.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I'm so happy for you.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Secretly hoping and praying, but yes, I.
- 30:44Speaker 4: I think that there's been a lot of love and
- 30:47Speaker 4: a lot of support for the show and a lot
- 30:49Speaker 4: of people rooting and cheering everybody on.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 3: How could you not fall in love with love?
- 30:55Speaker 2: Of course. And I just want to say, like, you
- 30:56Speaker 2: do not have to be Jewish to watch the show,
- 30:58Speaker 2: to like the show. I grew up Presbyterian, even though
- 31:02Speaker 2: I'm half Jewish.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I again, as I said, I binged the whole thing.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I thought it was great. You really fall in love
- 31:07Speaker 2: with the characters. You're really rooting for them. You can
- 31:10Speaker 2: kind of see like, oh, I can tell what they're
- 31:13Speaker 2: doing wrong. I wish I could. Jump through the TV
- 31:16Speaker 2: and like yell at them or shake them or whatever.
- 31:18Speaker 2: But they're so interesting. And the concept of love and
- 31:23Speaker 2: finding the one is, you know, everyone believes in that.
- 31:26Speaker 2: You don't have to just be Jewish. So even though
- 31:28Speaker 2: it's called Jewish matchmaking, I don't want to dissuade anyone
- 31:30Speaker 2: from watching it if they're not Jewish.
- 31:32Speaker 3: It's for the world. It's for everybody.
- 31:34Speaker 2: And it's so educational, too, because you tell a lot
- 31:38Speaker 2: of stuff about the Jewish religion, all the religions and
- 31:41Speaker 2: how interesting they are. And these people are just a
- 31:44Speaker 2: great gamut of the whole spectrum.
- 31:46Speaker 4: There's also a lot of dating tips and tools that
- 31:49Speaker 4: aren't specifically only for Jewish people. They're universal dating things.
- 31:52Speaker 4: So if you want to know how to date better,
- 31:54Speaker 4: date smarter, and get better results, watch. And then you'll
- 31:57Speaker 4: see all my tips.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Exactly. So you can watch Jewish Matchmaking. It's out now
- 32:01Speaker 2: on Netflix. It's binge-worthy. So make sure you check it out.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Thank you so much for joining me.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Thank you for having me.
- 32:15Speaker 5: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 32:18Speaker 5: for it?
- 32:19Speaker 6: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 32:21Speaker 6: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 32:24Speaker 5: You have to put me in touch. What's it called?
- 32:26Speaker 7: It's Dunaidial.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Where?
- 32:30Speaker 6: Dunaidial.
- 32:31Speaker 7: There's an accent on the E.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Do you mean.
- 32:35Speaker 7: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Lift?
- 32:37Speaker 5: Please. You going past Kimmage?
- 32:39Speaker 3: Oh, Kimmage.
- 32:40Speaker 5: No.
- 32:42Speaker 7: Done deal, cars.
- 32:42Speaker 8: You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
