- 1:25Speaker 5: Welcome back to Son of a Boy app Podcast. Today
- 1:28Speaker 5: is Thursday, March twenty fourth. We're doing a bonus episode
- 1:36Speaker 5: hopefully if it works.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Some audio issues, but that's fine. We're doing a bonus
- 1:42Speaker 6: episode because we felt bad about our last audio issues.
- 1:46Speaker 1: We're doing a bonus episode because half of us are
- 1:49Speaker 1: clinically depressed and half of us are still in New York.
- 1:54Speaker 1: We'll let you figure out. We'll let you figure out
- 1:56Speaker 1: who's in which category.
- 1:59Speaker 5: I'm in a padded home, no sharp objects in sight.
- 2:04Speaker 5: My parents ship me out here feeling really good. Believe
- 2:08Speaker 5: it or not. Roan's actually the one that's not in
- 2:10Speaker 5: New York.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Yeah, oh yeah, I'm actually on a fucking bluff in
- 2:15Speaker 6: Colorado right now. You see that beautiful vista view behind me.
- 2:21Speaker 6: It's uh, the middle of the night here time zones.
- 2:25Speaker 6: But man is his fire crack and I wish you
- 2:28Speaker 6: guys could smell it. Man, it smells so fucking good man,
- 2:31Speaker 6: that natural fire smell.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Yeah. I might stink up my sweatshirt, but you know
- 2:36Speaker 5: I love let me tell you, man, time zones are
- 2:38Speaker 5: a funny thing.
- 2:41Speaker 6: Some people like one places light out.
- 2:44Speaker 5: One place it's light out, one place it's dark.
- 2:48Speaker 6: That is fucking wacky, dude. It is probably fucking funny
- 2:51Speaker 6: thing a whole different month out in Dubai right now, dude,
- 2:56Speaker 6: So do you want to tell people white? I feel
- 2:58Speaker 6: like you should be a little bit seriou yourself at
- 3:00Speaker 6: the top of the show and just be like, hey,
- 3:02Speaker 6: this is what's going on.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I guess like it the basically I've been.
- 3:10Speaker 5: It's just been a pent. It's been building up my
- 3:14Speaker 5: hatred for New York. And then I eventually just snapped
- 3:20Speaker 5: and packed everything up and said I'm going home, which
- 3:22Speaker 5: probably won't last long. My parents didn't really seem thrilled
- 3:25Speaker 5: when I told them I was leaving on Monday. I
- 3:27Speaker 5: wasn't leaving on Monday, so I'm probably coming back on Monday.
- 3:31Speaker 6: What your parents want you out of the house? Do
- 3:33Speaker 6: they fucking to do?
- 3:33Speaker 5: Or what for my final days? I'll be back in Monday.
- 3:37Speaker 5: I'll be back on Monday.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Really, Wait, so you're just going for the weekend. You
- 3:43Speaker 6: didn't even have to tell anybody.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Gee, No, I wasn't planning on it. I really don't
- 3:48Speaker 5: know what's gonna happen. I ideally would like to not
- 3:53Speaker 5: be back in New York on Monday, but you know,
- 3:56Speaker 5: not really anywhere else to go.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Or there's everywhere else to go.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Literally anywhere else in the fucking country is a viable
- 4:03Speaker 1: option for you right now.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Yeah. I also don't want to get fired.
- 4:08Speaker 1: They're not gonna fire You're they're gonna fire you for
- 4:12Speaker 1: having mental health.
- 4:13Speaker 6: But that's probably a way to get promoted in this company.
- 4:16Speaker 6: They'll have like a mental health problem, everybody in this
- 4:19Speaker 6: company taking time off for mental health.
- 4:22Speaker 5: I was thinking about starting a mental health podcast called
- 4:24Speaker 5: friend Friend of Harry.
- 4:29Speaker 6: Friend, though Harry would crack.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But would it be different than this or would it
- 4:33Speaker 1: be like because I said so, uh mean girls type
- 4:36Speaker 1: of thing where I'd be content, Kim and you'd be
- 4:39Speaker 1: cheating on me with whatever your depression or whatever.
- 4:46Speaker 5: It would be very similar to that, believe it or
- 4:48Speaker 5: not almost identical.
- 4:51Speaker 1: What would you even say in that podcast? Can't we
- 4:53Speaker 1: just talk about mental health in here?
- 4:58Speaker 5: Yeah? I don't really have anything to say, Like that's
- 5:00Speaker 5: the thing, Like I have a bunch of like inner
- 5:03Speaker 5: terrible thoughts. But I don't really feel like I'm not
- 5:06Speaker 5: going to get into that on this like no one
- 5:07Speaker 5: wants to hear that I do.
- 5:10Speaker 6: I feel like it could be good fodder for jokes.
- 5:14Speaker 5: I mean, it's just like the job is hard, like
- 5:17Speaker 5: it's not and everyone, like I tweeted out, I was like,
- 5:19Speaker 5: I'm not going to be in New York for a while,
- 5:21Speaker 5: and then the first reply is like, yeah, working eight
- 5:23Speaker 5: hours a week can be really hard, and it's like, yeah, dude,
- 5:26Speaker 5: that's not like what I'm like depressed about about working
- 5:29Speaker 5: eight hours a week.
- 5:31Speaker 1: You'd probably be less depressed if you were like in
- 5:33Speaker 1: a sugar cane field with a machete, just fucking chopping
- 5:36Speaker 1: sugar for twelve hours a day.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you need more work. Yeah, I mean exactly, I
- 5:43Speaker 5: need more st I think I need more structure in
- 5:45Speaker 5: my life. And it's just like working at a job
- 5:50Speaker 5: where it's like if you have a bad day and
- 5:52Speaker 5: then like you get you go home and you get
- 5:56Speaker 5: check Twitter and there's like a thousand people telling you
- 5:58Speaker 5: how bad of a day you had. It's not like
- 6:00Speaker 5: a normal job. It's not like, oh I didn't feel
- 6:04Speaker 5: like doing my work today. And then that's just it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Like if a janitor misses a smudge on the floor,
- 6:10Speaker 1: they're probably not gonna hear about it. Like if a
- 6:12Speaker 1: bartender like get someone's drink order wrong, like they might
- 6:15Speaker 1: just try to overcharge someone in the moment and fucking
- 6:18Speaker 1: get into a little bit of a kerfuffle. But nobody's
- 6:21Speaker 1: gonna have that cook coffiness thunderous negative feedback that kind
- 6:25Speaker 1: of comes with some of these public eye jobs. And uh,
- 6:29Speaker 1: I think part of what's what's bothering you is like
- 6:33Speaker 1: the glee that some people seem to take in like
- 6:36Speaker 1: other people's downfalls or like pitfalls.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's really just like I don't even
- 6:44Speaker 5: really know how to describe it. Like there's so many
- 6:46Speaker 5: like thoughts that I have, Like it's just like like
- 6:51Speaker 5: I guess this is like what I signed up for,
- 6:53Speaker 5: Like when I got hired at barstool, like I knew
- 6:54Speaker 5: I was gonna be Like it's just what happens if
- 6:57Speaker 5: you have a job where you're in the public eye.
- 6:58Speaker 5: But it's like at the same time, when I before
- 7:00Speaker 5: I got hired at Barstool, it felt like I was
- 7:03Speaker 5: mainly just doing stuff like this for fun, Like I
- 7:06Speaker 5: didn't have a podcast or anything like that, but like
- 7:07Speaker 5: I was making videos and doing Twitter and stuff for fun,
- 7:10Speaker 5: and it was really just like a thing where I
- 7:12Speaker 5: had down. When I had downtime or if I was
- 7:14Speaker 5: like bored in class, I would just like go on
- 7:16Speaker 5: Twitter and crack jokes. And now it's like it's my
- 7:19Speaker 5: job and basically my entire life revolves around it, and
- 7:22Speaker 5: it's like, I don't know, it's just a lot more
- 7:25Speaker 5: pressure and a lot more stress added to it. It's
- 7:27Speaker 5: not like a hobby anymore. It's like my life.
- 7:31Speaker 6: Do you need to go back to school?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Do you need to like do law school on the
- 7:34Speaker 1: side or some shit like that, Like do you need
- 7:36Speaker 1: to like do something to take your mind off of it?
- 7:40Speaker 6: No?
- 7:41Speaker 5: I mean no, I don't want to go back to school.
- 7:45Speaker 5: I would like to keep working at barstool honestly, though,
- 7:50Speaker 5: Like if I wasn't doing the Yak, I would definitely
- 7:54Speaker 5: leave New York and like move somewhere else where. Would
- 7:58Speaker 5: you move?
- 7:58Speaker 6: Like, how did you like Philly? Would you move to Philly?
- 8:04Speaker 5: Yeah? I liked Philly a lot. I really just don't
- 8:07Speaker 5: think I'm like built for the city.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I mean, some people who would want to prey on
- 8:14Speaker 1: your mental state right now, would say that you're too
- 8:16Speaker 1: much of a bitch for the city. But that's not
- 8:18Speaker 1: what I would say.
- 8:19Speaker 5: I mean, if that's what it is, then that's what
- 8:21Speaker 5: it is exactly. Care.
- 8:23Speaker 6: We don't care about labels on this show. I would
- 8:25Speaker 6: never say.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Also, I don't really care. Like that's the thing too.
- 8:28Speaker 5: It's like people acting like, oh, you only you have
- 8:31Speaker 5: a good job, You're not allowed to be depressed. It's like, well,
- 8:34Speaker 5: that's like that, Like there's a million other reasons that
- 8:36Speaker 5: you could be have mental health problems even if I
- 8:40Speaker 5: have a good job. As far as the king of
- 8:44Speaker 5: this place or anything. Yeah, I mean I said that
- 8:48Speaker 5: the first week I moved here.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I mean, but look, I mean Mary Todd Lincoln was
- 8:54Speaker 1: depressed and she was married to the fucking president.
- 8:56Speaker 5: You know what I mean, Like, uh, yeah, you're.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Basically married Todd Lincoln.
- 9:00Speaker 1: You know, it's not it's not all it's cracked out
- 9:02Speaker 1: to be being married to Abe Lincoln.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Yeah, And honestly, dude, like when with the whole like
- 9:08Speaker 5: Ohio Tate thing or what is it? What is it
- 9:10Speaker 5: Ohio state or Ohio Tate.
- 9:12Speaker 6: His name is Ohio State.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Ohio State. It's Ohio's tate.
- 9:19Speaker 6: You know, it's Ohio State.
- 9:21Speaker 5: He's Tate from Ohio. His name is state, possessive, the
- 9:26Speaker 5: whole Ohio's the whole Ohio state thing. I was like
- 9:28Speaker 5: very envious of him talking about what he does, Like
- 9:30Speaker 5: he just like blogs when he wants to blog, and
- 9:33Speaker 5: then like does his normal life.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But I think he blogs a lot, though not just
- 9:36Speaker 1: when he wants to blog. I think he still like
- 9:37Speaker 1: cranks out a bunch of blogs. I think that there's
- 9:39Speaker 1: like an XP.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's pressure. Yeah. But he has like a
- 9:43Speaker 5: normal job. He has like a normal life outside of barstool.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Like my entire life is barstool.
- 9:50Speaker 6: That's true. He did select like a part time route.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And do you think that maybe having like another job
- 9:55Speaker 1: or interest or maybe being like a glorified babysitter or
- 9:59Speaker 1: whatever would be good for you?
- 10:02Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't think so, because I think
- 10:04Speaker 5: I the less I work, the worse my mental health
- 10:08Speaker 5: is gonna because I'm just gonna sit around. And the
- 10:10Speaker 5: more I work, like I don't dude, I'm I'm trapped
- 10:14Speaker 5: and I'm trapped in a bad cycle.
- 10:17Speaker 6: It is the more you work what it's quick saying,
- 10:20Speaker 6: the more he struggles, don't want to work more?
- 10:24Speaker 5: Who wants to work more? Also, that's the thing that
- 10:27Speaker 5: pisses me off too, is the stoolies. It's like, why
- 10:30Speaker 5: do you care how much I work? It's such a
- 10:33Speaker 5: weird thing to care about.
- 10:35Speaker 1: But you know what's crazy is like you'll do something
- 10:37Speaker 1: good and it'll completely flip and they'll be like, SaaS
- 10:39Speaker 1: is the hardest working motherfucker there is.
- 10:42Speaker 6: It's just fickle people who have like no opinion. It's
- 10:45Speaker 6: like I kind of am I kind of and you
- 10:47Speaker 6: should too empathize what like athletes go through when like
- 10:51Speaker 6: they have a good game they score like twenty two
- 10:53Speaker 6: points and they're like, this guy's a fucking joke, dude,
- 10:56Speaker 6: he should be an All Star. And then he has
- 10:58Speaker 6: like a off night where he like puts a bunch
- 11:00Speaker 6: of shots they don't all hit, and everyone's like we
- 11:03Speaker 6: should fucking trade his ass, Like why the fuck did
- 11:05Speaker 6: we give him that fucking contract. It's just like, whoah, buddy,
- 11:10Speaker 6: don't flip flop so easily. And it's also just not
- 11:13Speaker 6: that deep.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I get it, Like I know, I mean,
- 11:19Speaker 5: the people on the internet have it worse, like athletes
- 11:21Speaker 5: get it ruthlessly, and same with like musicians, like if
- 11:26Speaker 5: they don't put out an album every year, people get pissed.
- 11:28Speaker 5: But it's like, I don't know, I think a bunch
- 11:30Speaker 5: of it's just a bunch of it's not even just work.
- 11:32Speaker 5: It's just a bunch of little things building that built up,
- 11:34Speaker 5: and I was like, I can't be here.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I think the environment you build for yourself is also important,
- 11:40Speaker 1: and uh, like you being able to see grass or
- 11:44Speaker 1: like a tree would be helpful. Or if you had
- 11:46Speaker 1: like yeah, a plant or a window in your apartment
- 11:49Speaker 1: or something like that, or like a living space they
- 11:52Speaker 1: really enjoyed. I think might play into it a little
- 11:55Speaker 1: bit so you don't feel like trapped or like you're
- 11:57Speaker 1: just getting out of bed to like a floor of
- 11:59Speaker 1: trash or whatever.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it does feel like I kind of
- 12:04Speaker 5: just like go to work and then go home and
- 12:07Speaker 5: then go to work. Like it's just like a and
- 12:09Speaker 5: I don't really like go out on the weekends or
- 12:10Speaker 5: do anything like that because it's just like I don't
- 12:12Speaker 5: really enjoy going out in New York.
- 12:15Speaker 6: So can I give a piece of advice?
- 12:17Speaker 5: Brother? Sure?
- 12:20Speaker 1: It may seem like it's simple or you know, it
- 12:23Speaker 1: might not be a sequitor, might not make a lot
- 12:26Speaker 1: of sense to you.
- 12:26Speaker 5: But do this one favorite for me? Make your bed.
- 12:33Speaker 6: Yeah, simple as that, brother, make your bed one task
- 12:37Speaker 6: at the beginning of the day. And suddenly you've tricked
- 12:39Speaker 6: your mind into thinking that you're a productive human being.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Make your bed.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Yeah, I probably should, but I'm a pretty clean room
- 12:50Speaker 5: these days. These days, my room's pretty clean.
- 12:54Speaker 6: No, it's not. There's no chance. Do you leave your room?
- 12:57Speaker 5: No, I gotta start listening to more Token CEO.
- 13:02Speaker 6: You might need to start tokn bro. You might need
- 13:04Speaker 6: to start hitting the FU.
- 13:06Speaker 5: I think I need to start. Yeah, me and h
- 13:09Speaker 5: Eric I need to collab and do a motivational podcast.
- 13:12Speaker 5: You need motivation Eric and Jerry. He's gonna be called
- 13:16Speaker 5: my my friend of Token CEO.
- 13:21Speaker 6: For a friend of Token, friend of token with sas.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, we're taking with SaaS.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Yeah, that's how you fit in.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Uh. I think that, uh.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I think that this is gonna be beatable if you
- 13:34Speaker 1: wind up coming back on Monday, though, I'm gonna be
- 13:37Speaker 1: kind of upset.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Though.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I feel like you've made enough of us think about
- 13:40Speaker 1: this that you need to take take some serious time
- 13:43Speaker 1: for yourself, you know, be out of the city for
- 13:45Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 13:46Speaker 5: Let uh, let it really wash over you last thing
- 13:51Speaker 5: we need.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I mean going back and then coming back like a
- 13:54Speaker 1: week later, and then it's equally bad or it fucking
- 13:58Speaker 1: doubles down or some ship.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't want to go back at all. When
- 14:03Speaker 5: I originally left, I like yesterday, when I was getting
- 14:06Speaker 5: on the train, I was like, I'm probably never coming
- 14:08Speaker 5: back to this city ever. And uh, obviously things changed quick.
- 14:16Speaker 5: I think my parents are afraid that I'm gonna get
- 14:18Speaker 5: fired from my job if I don't go back, which
- 14:21Speaker 5: would probably happen.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Tell them how people take mental health breaks here all
- 14:26Speaker 1: the time? How people make it their brand to take
- 14:28Speaker 1: mental health breaks?
- 14:29Speaker 5: Do they do that? Though?
- 14:31Speaker 6: Yes, yeah they Who does that? I think a lot
- 14:35Speaker 6: of people do, brother, dude.
- 14:39Speaker 5: I don't think there's been anyone at I can't think
- 14:41Speaker 5: of any names at barstool who have like had to
- 14:44Speaker 5: take a mental health break after like a like a
- 14:49Speaker 5: pitching competition or anything like that. That's what I mean.
- 14:54Speaker 6: I think it happens to literally everybody.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Yeah, we're all sick, different people.
- 15:00Speaker 6: Yeah, who are you thinking of.
- 15:04Speaker 7: I'm only that was the only person I could think of.
- 15:07Speaker 7: I mean, there's high noon cans.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah, there's leg but that wasn't a mental health break.
- 15:13Speaker 6: There's sweatshirts, it's everything, dude. Everybody goes to.
- 15:17Speaker 5: The sweatshirts, multiple brands. I believe that.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And yeah, everybody is like these brands based on like
- 15:26Speaker 1: false positivity too, just like be positive and like be happy.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But I think that a lot of people take mental
- 15:31Speaker 1: health breaks and you don't even know they're doing it
- 15:33Speaker 1: because nobody's in the fucking office ever. And the only
- 15:36Speaker 1: reason there's an expectation of you being in the office
- 15:38Speaker 1: is because of the yak and nobody else has things
- 15:40Speaker 1: that fucking hold them down, dude.
- 15:42Speaker 6: Nobody's fucking pinnable, downable, dude. Fucking no, there's fucking waves
- 15:47Speaker 6: on the shore. They fucking come through and leave.
- 15:50Speaker 1: And there's two people in the office every day, Me
- 15:52Speaker 1: and fucking Devlin, fucking bro.
- 15:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, if you're right there are it really
- 15:58Speaker 5: is you and Devlin every.
- 15:59Speaker 6: Day and so yeah, and Chuck Chuck grinds.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Yea, Chuck. I was actually thinking of Chuck, dude.
- 16:05Speaker 7: I thought I beat Chuck in this morning and I
- 16:07Speaker 7: went to take a picture of his desk, and as
- 16:08Speaker 7: I got closer to it, his bald head just popped
- 16:11Speaker 7: up like a whack a hole.
- 16:13Speaker 5: He's what time Chuck get in?
- 16:17Speaker 6: I got in at eight forty five this morning.
- 16:19Speaker 7: I was positive i'd be the first, and he's He
- 16:21Speaker 7: was like, I just felt like it.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Why the fuck are you getting in at eight forty five?
- 16:25Speaker 1: You don't have to weigh sass anymore.
- 16:27Speaker 7: I'm trying to just like restart my sleep schedule.
- 16:30Speaker 6: It's yeah, that's probably smart, dude. I logged onto his
- 16:33Speaker 6: benefits for the first time last night and I.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Saw our organ organizational chart. It's fucking hilarious. Who has
- 16:41Speaker 1: who has like people under them? You know that Chuck
- 16:45Speaker 1: has uh like forty.
- 16:46Speaker 5: I didn't even know they had him. It's like a
- 16:49Speaker 5: flow chart of Dana used to be the boss of
- 16:52Speaker 5: like one hundred people.
- 16:53Speaker 6: He is still tons of people and it's.
- 16:55Speaker 5: Like the boss of the company.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fucking insane. The amount of people Dave is
- 17:01Speaker 1: under Dana. Dave Portnellard is a report, he does his
- 17:06Speaker 1: he does his uh his performance reviews with Dana at
- 17:10Speaker 1: all times.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Dana still runs the fucking car run for me.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Uh it was me Tyler Owen, Jake KB Nick Fustoly.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Sounds about Eric tim I fired for Stooly.
- 17:31Speaker 6: Well, he's back with a vengeance. He heard he was
- 17:34Speaker 6: the first one. He was like, I heard Sass is
- 17:36Speaker 6: having some little mental troubles. He fucking back up.
- 17:43Speaker 5: I got a text from a number that I don't have.
- 17:46Speaker 6: It's probably you're supposed.
- 17:48Speaker 5: To have wait read it, so I'm actually I'm not
- 17:52Speaker 5: even gonna continue. Wait what did it say?
- 17:54Speaker 6: Yo?
- 17:54Speaker 5: Because they were actually being nice?
- 17:56Speaker 6: What do they say?
- 17:59Speaker 5: They were just say saying like, hey, if you ever
- 18:00Speaker 5: need anything, like, let me know. But I didn't have
- 18:02Speaker 5: the number, so I felt awkward. It was it Quigs,
- 18:05Speaker 5: I replied, and I said, thanks, I appreciate it. No,
- 18:07Speaker 5: it wasn't Quikes. I have Quicks's number.
- 18:09Speaker 6: You should have asked for something super specific from them.
- 18:11Speaker 6: You could have been like I could go for a
- 18:14Speaker 6: four piece kfcmeal right now, or like, honestly, just ye
- 18:19Speaker 6: would Yeah, just one wacky selfie.
- 18:21Speaker 5: I should just start yourself. I should just start sucking completely,
- 18:27Speaker 5: just really lean into this sucking.
- 18:31Speaker 6: How like just being like a sad sack bastard.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I just like always be like, well, I'm really
- 18:38Speaker 5: feeling a little upset today.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Just become ere from the next time Winnie the Pooh.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Next time Dave denies me of a raise, I'll be like, well,
- 18:48Speaker 5: this is just perfect. Been feeling really sad recently.
- 18:55Speaker 6: The mental health card is Oh, that's great, it is.
- 19:00Speaker 5: That's why it's like, that's why it's like cringey to
- 19:03Speaker 5: talk about. But it's like, at the same time, bro,
- 19:06Speaker 5: when you're on the other end of it, it ain't good.
- 19:11Speaker 6: It is dark over there. It's a true photo negroh.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but I have been in the situation that you're
- 19:17Speaker 1: in where you just have to fucking get out of somewhere.
- 19:20Speaker 6: I lived down the shore and New No.
- 19:22Speaker 5: It was like it wasn't an option.
- 19:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I lived in Ocean City one summer for the entire summer,
- 19:29Speaker 1: and like, at the beginning of the summer, I got
- 19:32Speaker 1: like the best we got a little crackle going. I
- 19:35Speaker 1: got the best bedroom in the house. I was fired
- 19:37Speaker 1: the fuck up about it. It was like the master bedroom.
- 19:40Speaker 1: But by the end of the summer it turned into
- 19:42Speaker 1: like the fuck bedroom, and just everybody was like I'd
- 19:45Speaker 1: like be out partying and someone would go and like
- 19:47Speaker 1: fuck on my mattress and like there was no fucking
- 19:50Speaker 1: sheets that would clean the sheets. Fucking I got like
- 19:54Speaker 1: I like slept on the bed. I got like a
- 19:56Speaker 1: fucking some bullshit on my face, like a fucking like rat.
- 19:59Speaker 1: It was like, gaby, it wasn't scabies, but it was
- 20:01Speaker 1: some kind of scabies adjacent shit. At the last second,
- 20:04Speaker 1: I just had to pack everything up and just get
- 20:06Speaker 1: the fuck out of Dodge, Like I was like furious.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I just left within like three minutes, just got on
- 20:11Speaker 1: the first bus back home from the shore.
- 20:13Speaker 6: It was miserable.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Yeah, that's brutal. Yeah, I mean last night it was
- 20:19Speaker 5: like I like had a fine day, Like I woke up,
- 20:22Speaker 5: I felt all right, woke up pretty early. I uh
- 20:26Speaker 5: went to work, came back, and then as soon as
- 20:28Speaker 5: I got back from work, I was just like losing
- 20:30Speaker 5: my mind. Like it was like I couldn't even focus
- 20:32Speaker 5: on one thing because it was just like like my
- 20:35Speaker 5: mind was moving a million miles per hour. And then
- 20:37Speaker 5: I was like, yeah, I'm leaving New York right now. Oh.
- 20:42Speaker 5: I think it was like I was on the subway.
- 20:44Speaker 5: I was on the subway and I was like, so
- 20:46Speaker 5: I was looking around and I was like, this is
- 20:48Speaker 5: so depressing, Like everyone was asleep. There's like dudes like
- 20:52Speaker 5: nodding off on the subway and I'm like, ah, I'm
- 20:56Speaker 5: going home.
- 20:58Speaker 6: What kind of things can you do to reset your brain?
- 21:03Speaker 5: I don't know, dude, Drink, smoke a little smoke, a
- 21:07Speaker 5: little freaking goge.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Do you think any of your boys will come home
- 21:16Speaker 6: and like be with you and like just kind of
- 21:18Speaker 6: sit with you.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Hell no, definitely not.
- 21:23Speaker 7: That lag made it so much funnier.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Lag on your fucking your fat bong rip give us
- 21:30Speaker 6: another fat head.
- 21:33Speaker 5: You were smoking like a full minute later the audio. Dude,
- 21:38Speaker 5: this is brutal. I'm gonna like, I'm gonna scream at
- 21:41Speaker 5: my parents after this. I'm gonna get all up in
- 21:44Speaker 5: my dad's face.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Well, maybe he's going through something where he just can't
- 21:49Speaker 1: afford good Wi Fi. Do you think that you need
- 21:51Speaker 1: to like start chipping in around the house.
- 21:55Speaker 5: I'm getting up in his face, work harder, do more.
- 22:03Speaker 6: If you didn't want to need good Wi Fi, you
- 22:05Speaker 6: shouldn't have had a son.
- 22:10Speaker 5: You knew I was gonna be a podcaster.
- 22:15Speaker 6: You should have dealt with this. If all business Pete
- 22:18Speaker 6: was my dad, this never would have happened.
- 22:22Speaker 5: The funniest part about this is like I'll make a
- 22:24Speaker 5: joke that I think is funny, and then I won't
- 22:26Speaker 5: hear your guys laughs for like forty five seconds. Laughter.
- 22:41Speaker 5: I have no idea what's going on.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'm just trying to give you a little extra laughter
- 22:48Speaker 1: just in case, like you're in the middle of saying
- 22:49Speaker 1: something really funny. I just wanted to kind of get
- 22:51Speaker 1: ahead of it and give you a little bit of
- 22:53Speaker 1: a laugh.
- 22:55Speaker 6: What do you want to become with this podcast while
- 22:58Speaker 6: you're away? What do you want me to do with that?
- 23:00Speaker 6: In the time being.
- 23:03Speaker 5: I don't want to stop recording this podcast. I want
- 23:05Speaker 5: to keep doing it. This is like one of my
- 23:07Speaker 5: favorite things. Looks like you just did all right? All right, right, yep,
- 23:15Speaker 5: ready to hop back in yep? All right? Where were we?
- 23:20Speaker 5: Where were we?
- 23:21Speaker 6: We were talking about that filthy bastard from Russia?
- 23:25Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we can just steer right over that. Let's
- 23:28Speaker 5: hop into something new, something fresh. Should we talked about
- 23:31Speaker 5: Philly a little more? I mean we only we recorded
- 23:34Speaker 5: last time, like halfway through the Philly trip.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we had a whole other day in Philly. We
- 23:38Speaker 1: went to five other places. We could jump through all
- 23:42Speaker 1: of them if you want to. We went to a
- 23:44Speaker 1: place called Sarcones Bakery, famous bakery right on the street
- 23:47Speaker 1: there in Philly.
- 23:48Speaker 6: What'd you think of it?
- 23:50Speaker 5: Yes, really, bro, Sarcnes was gas. Sarcnes was something different. Dude,
- 23:57Speaker 5: all right, what's the next one.
- 24:00Speaker 6: We went to Ianellies.
- 24:02Speaker 5: Oh, don't even get me started on ion Ellies. Ianellius
- 24:05Speaker 5: was the spot.
- 24:07Speaker 6: No, that guy just called us small dick losers the
- 24:09Speaker 6: entire time.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Oh that was ian Elli's. To be honest, I don't
- 24:12Speaker 5: remember any of the names. Ianelli's was crazy. That was like,
- 24:16Speaker 5: that was like ian Ellis literally might be the reason
- 24:19Speaker 5: I had to send myself home because that guy was
- 24:21Speaker 5: so mean to you. No, it wasn't even mean to me.
- 24:25Speaker 5: I was just like it was so hot in there
- 24:27Speaker 5: and I was so tired, and it was brutal.
- 24:29Speaker 1: He was really mean to me, honestly, he was just
- 24:32Speaker 1: a he flamed, you know, he bullied me. It wasn't
- 24:35Speaker 1: just like a flame session, like I can handle a
- 24:37Speaker 1: flame session.
- 24:38Speaker 5: A full on bullying. Yeah, dude, he told you to
- 24:41Speaker 5: give up on comedy.
- 24:42Speaker 6: And I wasn't even trying comedy at that point.
- 24:45Speaker 5: No, you were just like you're like, all right, man,
- 24:47Speaker 5: let's get started. And he was like, all right, lead
- 24:49Speaker 5: the jokes someone, Hey, why don't you lead the jokes
- 24:51Speaker 5: to my buddy. Lead the jokes to my buddy, Jamarrow.
- 24:54Speaker 5: You know, he's a stand up, but he's not one
- 24:55Speaker 5: of those he's not one of those low times. He's
- 24:57Speaker 5: not one of those low keys stand ups. He's a headline.
- 24:58Speaker 5: I'm talking about headline a calm.
- 25:00Speaker 6: I'm talking big names.
- 25:02Speaker 5: I'm talking about big names.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Every time I tried to say something to this guy,
- 25:05Speaker 1: he would like, say a statement, and then I would
- 25:07Speaker 1: agree with the statement. He'd be like, I wouldn't say
- 25:10Speaker 1: all that. He'd be like, yeah, this water is wet.
- 25:15Speaker 1: I would be like, yeah, you could say that there's
- 25:17Speaker 1: like some moisture in it, and he'd be.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Like, oh, I wouldn't say all that.
- 25:21Speaker 5: He just was.
- 25:21Speaker 6: Fucking convinced that he was going to disagree with me
- 25:24Speaker 6: no matter what the fuck happened.
- 25:26Speaker 5: He did not like me that much. Poor bastard. Yeah
- 25:29Speaker 5: I didn't really I don't really know. I mean, the
- 25:32Speaker 5: food was great at his spot, but you know, the
- 25:35Speaker 5: energy was a little much for me that early in
- 25:37Speaker 5: the morning.
- 25:38Speaker 1: One thing I do admire sass about you and how
- 25:40Speaker 1: you're handling your CD or clinical depression. Is that you're
- 25:45Speaker 1: not lashing out at anybody else. You're not being like
- 25:48Speaker 1: because you feel bad about yourself. You're not being nasty
- 25:51Speaker 1: or mean to anyone else. You're just really mean and
- 25:53Speaker 1: hard on yourself.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Oh no, you should see what I'm like to my family. Dude,
- 26:00Speaker 5: just hitting my mom, just the fuck up mom. I
- 26:04Speaker 5: got home last night and I just wailed into my parents.
- 26:07Speaker 5: I beat them both up.
- 26:11Speaker 6: Anybody else, that wouldn't be funny for you to talk
- 26:13Speaker 6: about beating up here, But for you, it is funny
- 26:17Speaker 6: to talk about beating up your mom.
- 26:18Speaker 5: My mom could beat me up.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Oh there's no doubt in my mind, your mom could
- 26:22Speaker 6: beat you up. Each mom would like fucking leg sweep
- 26:25Speaker 6: you and fucking throw you through a chair. She'd do
- 26:27Speaker 6: some wrestling shit to you. Your mom is a savage, bro.
- 26:31Speaker 6: I fucking know.
- 26:32Speaker 5: She's next level. She's next level. Then we went to uh.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Then we went to raise Happy Birthday bar and uh
- 26:39Speaker 1: we got a little street Remember that one we had
- 26:42Speaker 1: on the street.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, I didn't eat that one, so I
- 26:45Speaker 5: can't say anything. Oh you didn't have a bite of
- 26:47Speaker 5: that one. No, I was. I was so full from
- 26:50Speaker 5: the first place or the last place that we actually
- 26:52Speaker 5: were there for an hour and a half.
- 26:54Speaker 1: And you were just groaning. That guy also did make
- 26:56Speaker 1: us a sandwich.
- 26:58Speaker 5: Yeah, he made us. He made us a sea It's
- 27:00Speaker 5: a steak, sam, What would you think of that? It
- 27:05Speaker 5: was good. I can't really say anything about that place
- 27:07Speaker 5: because I was in such a bad mood when we
- 27:09Speaker 5: were there, and I got my second wind when we
- 27:11Speaker 5: were at the next place. But I was in such
- 27:13Speaker 5: a bad mood when we were there, and I like
- 27:14Speaker 5: couldn't like, oh man, when he called me over to
- 27:17Speaker 5: eat that steak sandwich, dude, I was like genuinely furious.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I feel like that what we were doing on that day,
- 27:24Speaker 1: going to like six different shoots in one day and
- 27:28Speaker 1: trying a bunch of different things, I feel like that's
- 27:31Speaker 1: a way to fucking get out of the cycle of depression.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Like seeing like cool shit, like seeing different parts of
- 27:40Speaker 1: the world, being stimulated by different experiences.
- 27:44Speaker 6: I feel like that's kind of like a healthy cycle
- 27:46Speaker 6: to be in.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, uh, yeah, I guess yeah. I mean
- 27:52Speaker 5: it was fun. It was a It was a very
- 27:54Speaker 5: fun few days. I mean, hanging out with the mics
- 27:55Speaker 5: is always a really fun time. So I enjoyed that
- 27:58Speaker 5: a lot. I enjoyed the first night. First night was
- 28:01Speaker 5: the black tax I.
- 28:02Speaker 6: Heard they were giving you advice the mics. I don't know.
- 28:06Speaker 5: I heard they were. I wasn't there when they were.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Oh no, you were there was that black taxi. I
- 28:12Speaker 5: mean we talked. I was talking both of the mics
- 28:15Speaker 5: all night. Bro. Well, one of the mikes was saying
- 28:20Speaker 5: that that me and you could it could be getting
- 28:24Speaker 5: deals with startup companies and then all takes us for
- 28:26Speaker 5: one of them to pop off and we would become billionaires.
- 28:30Speaker 6: So why isn't he a billionaire?
- 28:31Speaker 5: Then? Because he's not an influencer. He kept on saying influencers, influencers,
- 28:37Speaker 5: which is a disgusting word.
- 28:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I would have nipped that conversation.
- 28:41Speaker 5: But I'm not an influencer, Bro, I'm a creator.
- 28:43Speaker 6: I'm not an influencer.
- 28:44Speaker 5: I'm under the influence. Bro.
- 28:46Speaker 6: Get it fucking right.
- 28:51Speaker 5: That, Bro, I'm not an influencer. I'm just always on
- 28:54Speaker 5: the end. I'm off that. I'm off that influent the influence.
- 29:00Speaker 6: Dude, you should put.
- 29:01Speaker 5: Them off that influenza path.
- 29:03Speaker 6: Dude, can you put that on one of your memes
- 29:05Speaker 6: or shirts or some shit like that, Like, I'm not
- 29:07Speaker 6: an influencer, I'm under the influence.
- 29:10Speaker 5: I'm under the influence. That would be good. I'll do
- 29:12Speaker 5: that later. I'll do one of those motivational time card
- 29:15Speaker 5: or whatever those things.
- 29:16Speaker 1: It's just like a picture of like some high heels
- 29:18Speaker 1: and a half bottle of whiskey or some shit like that.
- 29:21Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, well no, I'm gonna make it off your face.
- 29:24Speaker 5: That's the goat.
- 29:25Speaker 6: Can you do it with the fucking uh the suit
- 29:27Speaker 6: in the lobby of Minnesota.
- 29:29Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I'm not an influencer. I'm under the that's far. Uh.
- 29:35Speaker 1: That's a great quote, yo, bro, that's a that's the
- 29:37Speaker 1: son of a boy dad original.
- 29:39Speaker 6: That's the kind of quotes we fucking crank out in
- 29:40Speaker 6: this bitch. Uh.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Oh, of course, dude, we should have been doing this
- 29:44Speaker 5: by phone called the entirety.
- 29:45Speaker 6: It sounds way better.
- 29:46Speaker 1: It's way easier, it's way conversation's way smoother too. Oh yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 1: have to like hope that you're laughing at the joke though, Yeah,
- 29:55Speaker 1: Tyler and Owen can here. I feel like I've lost
- 29:57Speaker 1: Tyler and Owen, which is tough. Let me hit that bro,
- 30:01Speaker 1: Let me hit that pen on my fucking dog.
- 30:05Speaker 5: Yo, way, what are you guys doing over there? What's
- 30:06Speaker 5: going on? Oh man, I have big time fomo now.
- 30:13Speaker 6: Oh he's going drogune.
- 30:16Speaker 5: I don't even have the for everyone that's listening or watching,
- 30:19Speaker 5: I don't. I can't see ron. I just have his
- 30:21Speaker 5: phone call of him up because the my WiFi my
- 30:25Speaker 5: house is too shitty for me to be able to
- 30:26Speaker 5: hear him or see him. Oh you can't see me
- 30:29Speaker 5: even the Wi Fi gods have restricted.
- 30:32Speaker 6: Me of sight, dude.
- 30:34Speaker 5: So the next oh wait, no, I can see you now.
- 30:36Speaker 5: I just pulled up to pulled you up on zoom,
- 30:38Speaker 5: pulled you up on that z thang.
- 30:40Speaker 6: The next place we went was a spot called Liberty Kitchen.
- 30:45Speaker 5: Oh, Liberty Kitchen was ill. Oh wait, Liberty Kitchen was
- 30:48Speaker 5: actually the place that I said was my number one.
- 30:51Speaker 6: Yeah it was your fathy.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Liberty Kitchen was great. That one was like the
- 30:56Speaker 5: pie there was amazing, and the people there were awesome,
- 30:59Speaker 5: and the artwork on the waltz was fantastic.
- 31:01Speaker 6: He was Jewish and he was a Jew.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I almost feel like when you say call someone a Jew,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I feel like it's uh.
- 31:09Speaker 5: It feels wrong. It feels like you're being It feels
- 31:12Speaker 5: like a slow Yeah.
- 31:12Speaker 1: It does, but it's okay, Like it's not a slur.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It's not cause someone a Jew and.
- 31:20Speaker 5: Anyone who says it is, bro, you're wrong and guess what,
- 31:23Speaker 5: I'm Jewish? But did it newsflash?
- 31:26Speaker 6: And so I'm so when we were with say something
- 31:29Speaker 6: to that effect and they did mean it disparagingly. Oh
- 31:32Speaker 6: yeah he was.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Yeah, he was being real Jewy And I was like, what,
- 31:38Speaker 5: I'm sorry, can you pull over?
- 31:40Speaker 6: I think I.
- 31:43Speaker 5: Come again?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Why people didn't walk through the desert for us to
- 31:47Speaker 1: have to drive through?
- 31:48Speaker 6: Hatred of you fucking disparaging us.
- 31:52Speaker 5: Well, then he told me that he was actually Jewish too,
- 31:54Speaker 5: so it kind of cancel.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I think he was just making that up in the moment,
- 31:57Speaker 1: kind of as a get out of angle free car.
- 32:00Speaker 5: Oh you better not.
- 32:02Speaker 6: It's like how when you say the N word and
- 32:03Speaker 6: then you say that like your friends are black, I.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Say, my mom's flack.
- 32:08Speaker 6: Yeah, you just claim to have a full black family. No,
- 32:11Speaker 6: I was adopted by a black school.
- 32:13Speaker 5: Bro, It's cool, my mom is.
- 32:15Speaker 6: I'm actually South African.
- 32:17Speaker 5: Then we went it's like when it's like when logic
- 32:19Speaker 5: says the N word.

- 48:52Speaker 5: their first name. Shut the fuck up, Betsy, Yeah, specifically
- 48:57Speaker 5: their mothers. Yeah, and that's the one that really gets me.
- 49:02Speaker 1: It used to be Karen. I think that's even how
- 49:04Speaker 1: the word karen started. But now it's been appropriated by
- 49:07Speaker 1: non whites. It used to be exclusively fubu. Used to
- 49:15Speaker 1: be for us, by us, we'd be the ones who
- 49:17Speaker 1: throw around the word karen. Now they've turned it into
- 49:20Speaker 1: a word to disparage us.
- 49:23Speaker 5: They've turned it a word to turn us against each other.
- 49:26Speaker 5: That's all that Karen is. Yeah, in one hundred years,
- 49:29Speaker 5: separate the whites.
- 49:31Speaker 1: Once white people become a minority in the United States,
- 49:33Speaker 1: which will happen in like probably probably by the end
- 49:36Speaker 1: of this century, about fifty years after that, we're white
- 49:41Speaker 1: people are gonna like try to take back karen, like
- 49:44Speaker 1: the N word, and they're gonna like not let anybody
- 49:47Speaker 1: else say karen. And there's just gonna be like white
- 49:51Speaker 1: artists singing poke music using the K word liberally, and
- 49:56Speaker 1: everybody else is gonna wish they could fucking use the
- 49:58Speaker 1: K word.
- 50:00Speaker 5: That would be awesome to My mom's name is Karen.
- 50:03Speaker 6: No it's not.
- 50:04Speaker 5: It actually is.
- 50:06Speaker 6: Yeah, that was gonna be the first one I said, like,
- 50:09Speaker 6: shut the fuck up, Karen.
- 50:11Speaker 5: But I thought it would be too about differently, It's
- 50:13Speaker 5: not ka r E N it's c R I n
- 50:16Speaker 5: G exactly. You neled it.
- 50:19Speaker 6: You're one of the most caring bitches I know.
- 50:25Speaker 5: Yeah, bro, my mom's caring about her son.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I like your soulless walls that you have in your
- 50:33Speaker 1: house kind of reminds me of your.
- 50:34Speaker 5: Isn't this isn't like I don't I don't really crash
- 50:39Speaker 5: here that often.
- 50:42Speaker 1: It looks like you have a genetic aversion to ever
- 50:45Speaker 1: decorating anything. It's only like wallpaper and floral blinds that
- 50:49Speaker 1: you have up.
- 50:51Speaker 5: Dude, this room is awesome. Like this is like I
- 50:53Speaker 5: come back here and it's like as soon as I
- 50:55Speaker 5: lay in bed, it's like every single problem I have
- 50:57Speaker 5: in the world just disappears.
- 50:59Speaker 6: You probably just jerk and off furiously. Oh everywhere it
- 51:03Speaker 6: probably just smells like, uh, those cumb trees all over
- 51:07Speaker 6: the house, not because there's actually com trees growing, but
- 51:10Speaker 6: because you've been coming everywhere.
- 51:12Speaker 5: What is a com tree? Actually? I think like what
- 51:15Speaker 5: might have been the turning point in my day yesterday
- 51:18Speaker 5: when I decided, okay, either I'm gonna kill myself or
- 51:20Speaker 5: I'm gonna go home. I made a coffee right when
- 51:23Speaker 5: I got into the office, and Nate came up to
- 51:25Speaker 5: me and he goes, Yo, can I come in your coffee?
- 51:30Speaker 5: And he was like within three minutes of me being there, Bro,
- 51:36Speaker 5: you should have let him do it, dude. I was like, ah,
- 51:41Speaker 5: I was like, yeah, Nate, for sure. Man.
- 51:43Speaker 6: What if that's the thing that's making him depress that
- 51:45Speaker 6: nobody's letting him come in their coffee?
- 51:49Speaker 5: Dude, he can make his own coffee and do whatever
- 51:51Speaker 5: he has to do.
- 51:51Speaker 1: What if he likes coming in other people's coffees? Okay,
- 51:54Speaker 1: have you considered that?
- 51:56Speaker 5: I haven't considered.
- 51:57Speaker 6: Maybe that's one of the fucking forty eight genders, is
- 52:00Speaker 6: that he likes to come in other people's coffee.
- 52:04Speaker 5: Is there forty eight genders?
- 52:06Speaker 6: I think there's like ninety six genders?
- 52:09Speaker 5: Bro, what happened to just the two? Right? Seriously?
- 52:13Speaker 1: Bro, Boys have penis, girls have vagina. That's how I
- 52:16Speaker 1: like to fucking say it.

- 52:38Speaker 5: just it takes them a couple more years to get there.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but then did you see our boy Jack Mac
- 52:42Speaker 1: fired back at them.
- 52:44Speaker 5: What did Jack Mac say?
- 52:46Speaker 1: He was like, oh, yeah, just like let the women
- 52:48Speaker 1: fuck uh, the chads, the alpha chads, the entire like
- 52:53Speaker 1: for their early twenties and just wait around as a

- 52:59Speaker 1: after the fact. I mean, yeah, facts, bros. He was
- 53:03Speaker 1: spitting fucking facts, bro.
- 53:05Speaker 5: But like that shouldn't be like, you shouldn't be opposed
- 53:08Speaker 5: to that. Look, that's best case scenario.

- 53:39Speaker 6: he played it right. All the other bitches wanted him.
- 53:42Speaker 6: He kicked them to the curb. He wooed her with flowers,
- 53:45Speaker 6: He sang her songs. He was jack as fuck. He
- 53:48Speaker 6: was handsome and he was successful. And then, Bro, what
