- 0:00Speaker 1: He knows his way around all this.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's the Mark Simone Show on seven tenor well it's Friday.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Normally that's great, you're looking forward to a wonderful weekend.
- 0:13Speaker 2: But this weekend you'll uh, well, Saturday, it's going to
- 0:16Speaker 2: be bitterly cold. It will be a real feel of
- 0:18Speaker 2: like minus five or something all day Saturday, so you're
- 0:22Speaker 2: not going to really want to be out much on Saturday.
- 0:23Speaker 2: And then Sunday you got the storm, the snow all
- 0:26Speaker 2: day long. It will start overnight Saturday, about two three,
- 0:32Speaker 2: four in the morning, it'll start snowing. It'll snow all
- 0:35Speaker 2: day Sunday. It won't stop, it'll pile up. It'll snow
- 0:39Speaker 2: overnight Sunday night. It'll stop somewhere Monday morning, maybe come
- 0:43Speaker 2: back a little here and there in the afternoon, and
- 0:45Speaker 2: then that'll be it. But most likely forecast six to
- 0:50Speaker 2: eight inches. The different various models show a range of
- 0:53Speaker 2: four to twelve inches, but figure six to eight inches.
- 0:56Speaker 2: That's a lot of snow. If you're in the suburbs.
- 1:00Speaker 2: It's going to disrupt everything for a while. Also, unlike
- 1:04Speaker 2: other snowstorms, it's going to be freezing cold for the
- 1:08Speaker 2: next few days. It'll be like in the twenties, real
- 1:11Speaker 2: Field and the teens. So after the snow is done
- 1:14Speaker 2: on Monday, for the next few days it'll be so
- 1:17Speaker 2: cold that nothing will melt. You won't be able to
- 1:19Speaker 2: melt that snow. You'll be able to shovel it. You know,
- 1:24Speaker 2: if you're in the city, it doesn't really bother us
- 1:26Speaker 2: because it doesn't really even stick on the ground. These
- 1:29Speaker 2: sidewalks are so warm, people a million people walking all
- 1:32Speaker 2: over them. The subway underneath heats them. So the city
- 1:35Speaker 2: is fine, although you'll have some snow banks here in there,
- 1:38Speaker 2: But when you're in the suburbs, it's a mess because
- 1:41Speaker 2: the mall, the strip, mall, the supermarket, they'll shuffle, they'll
- 1:46Speaker 2: shovel the parking lot, but you'll lose half the parking
- 1:49Speaker 2: spaces where they pile up the snow and the snow
- 1:51Speaker 2: banks and all of that will stay for days and
- 1:54Speaker 2: days and days. Looks like in New York City, at
- 1:57Speaker 2: least they'll be school on Monday. Now it may go remote,
- 2:02Speaker 2: and this is not fair to kids. It's very important
- 2:05Speaker 2: to have snow days where school is just canceled. You know,
- 2:08Speaker 2: when we were a kid, it was a snow day.
- 2:10Speaker 2: He had the day off, you'd watch game shows, you'd
- 2:13Speaker 2: goof off. But now if there is a snow day,
- 2:17Speaker 2: it'll just switch to remote learning. And imagine a lot
- 2:21Speaker 2: of suburban schools will do that. Not everybody's made the
- 2:24Speaker 2: decision yet, but we'll keep you up to date here
- 2:28Speaker 2: on the storm. This will be the first major test
- 2:31Speaker 2: of mom Donnie and his management skills. Although the emergency
- 2:35Speaker 2: team that does all this stuff is still there from
- 2:37Speaker 2: the Adams administration, so it's the same team. The director
- 2:41Speaker 2: of Emergency Management, he's a good guy. He'll be able
- 2:43Speaker 2: to handle this. He's resigned, but he gave two weeks notice,
- 2:47Speaker 2: so he's still there through this storm. Now, when he leaves,
- 2:50Speaker 2: the good news is his deputy takes over, who he says,
- 2:54Speaker 2: is pretty good. She's been there for a long long time,
- 2:56Speaker 2: so it should be should be okay. Greenland. Speaking of snow,
- 3:02Speaker 2: it looks like the deal is done, and the deal
- 3:06Speaker 2: is basically, we lease Greenland and control it for decades
- 3:11Speaker 2: and decades and decades, sometimes Trump hinting it could be forever.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Now that's different from actually buying it and owning it.
- 3:20Speaker 2: But some people are pointing out this is actually better.
- 3:23Speaker 2: We don't want to buy it and own it and
- 3:25Speaker 2: make it part of the US. We want to just
- 3:26Speaker 2: lease it and have control. If we buy it make
- 3:29Speaker 2: it part of the US, then you're going to have
- 3:31Speaker 2: to give them two senators. You're going to have to
- 3:33Speaker 2: give them Congressmen. You're going to have to pay the
- 3:35Speaker 2: welfare for most of the people on Greenland. And it's
- 3:40Speaker 2: only about fifty seven thousand people, but they're on some
- 3:42Speaker 2: kind of welfare. Hey. Now, once again, the idea of
- 3:45Speaker 2: buying Greenland or owning Greenland, or making part of the US,
- 3:48Speaker 2: that is not a Trump policy. That's been the official
- 3:52Speaker 2: policy of the United States for one hundred and fifty years.
- 3:58Speaker 2: One hundred and fifty years. Lots of pressidents have tried
- 4:00Speaker 2: to get Greenland. The last most serious attempt was Harry Truman,
- 4:05Speaker 2: who offered I think it was a billion dollars, which
- 4:07Speaker 2: back then nineteen forty nine or whatever was a staggering
- 4:11Speaker 2: amount of money. But it's always been US policy to
- 4:14Speaker 2: get Greenland. This is not a Trump policy. But it
- 4:18Speaker 2: was just fine for all these years trying to get Greenland.
- 4:21Speaker 2: But as soon as it was Trump, this is terrible.
- 4:23Speaker 2: All of a sudden everybody went crazy. Same thing with Ice,
- 4:27Speaker 2: the idea of ice going into cities and snatching up
- 4:30Speaker 2: illegals off the streets. That was Barack Obama. He did
- 4:34Speaker 2: it all the time, and you know he put in
- 4:36Speaker 2: charge of it a guy named Tom Holman. And you know,
- 4:39Speaker 2: before Obama left office, he gave Tom Holman the Distinguished
- 4:43Speaker 2: Service Award from the federal government for what he did.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So it goes on all the time. It's just only
- 4:49Speaker 2: bad when Trump does it. It was a great moment
- 4:52Speaker 2: on CNN with Ben Ferguson and the host I think
- 4:57Speaker 2: was Abbey Phillip is screaming at Ben Ferguson the idea
- 5:00Speaker 2: of ice going into what Ice is doing. He's never
- 5:03Speaker 2: been good, it's always been controversial. And Ben Ferguson said,
- 5:07Speaker 2: that's not true. It was considered great under Obama. In fact,
- 5:09Speaker 2: you guys at CNN did ride alongs. That's true. The
- 5:13Speaker 2: video has emerged back when Obama was doing the same
- 5:16Speaker 2: exact thing. CNN covered it and showed how brilliant this was,
- 5:20Speaker 2: how great this was. Look at it, what Obama is
- 5:22Speaker 2: getting done. They did ride along videos. Look at how
- 5:24Speaker 2: they're rounding up. This is great. But as soon as
- 5:27Speaker 2: it's Trump. It's a disaster. It's awful. Hey, the crazy
- 5:32Speaker 2: protesters who broke into that church, stopped the service, stop
- 5:37Speaker 2: the ceremony. The two ringleaders have been arrested. Now they're
- 5:42Speaker 2: going to probably get Don Lemon at some point. It
- 5:44Speaker 2: went before some left wing judge who tossed it out
- 5:47Speaker 2: said you can't arrest Don Lemon for this. But that's
- 5:49Speaker 2: just some crazy left wing judge. They'll appeal the whole thing.
- 5:53Speaker 2: The Attorney General herself, Pam Bondi, has flown two Minnesota
- 5:57Speaker 2: to get this thing going.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Religious liberty is siege in our country right now, and
- 6:03Speaker 3: we are not going anywhere until those people who did
- 6:07Speaker 3: those acts are held accountable.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah. No, the yelling about freedom of speech, freedom to protest,
- 6:14Speaker 2: First Amendment, it's all great, but that means you can
- 6:17Speaker 2: stand outside and yell. You cannot enter the church. It's
- 6:20Speaker 2: actually says in the law you cannot go into a
- 6:23Speaker 2: house of worship and do anything to intimidate or interfere
- 6:26Speaker 2: with a church service. It's illegal. It's a crime. So
- 6:30Speaker 2: they've arrested the two ringleaders, and here's Paul Murrow, the
- 6:34Speaker 2: security expert.
- 6:34Speaker 4: It is going to be very, very little that they
- 6:37Speaker 4: can do in defense of this because it's on film
- 6:39Speaker 4: and for once, they didn't cover their faces. Now here
- 6:42Speaker 4: is the thing that's going to come out of this.
- 6:44Speaker 4: You have her under her arrest. Now you're going to
- 6:45Speaker 4: get the communications. And this is where it starts. Despite
- 6:48Speaker 4: a wherebout. You start to see who's talking to who,
- 6:51Speaker 4: who showed up in regard including Don Lemon. How much
- 6:55Speaker 4: did they all know going in? That imports things like
- 6:57Speaker 4: conspiracy charges, which can.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Be quite quite heavy. Yeah, so that's where they're going
- 7:03Speaker 2: to start. Now they've got the two ring leaders, they'll
- 7:05Speaker 2: start to get everybody else under arrest.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Not only did that come out in the video and
- 7:09Speaker 4: that they said something like that in the church, but
- 7:12Speaker 4: then after the fact Lemon talks about exactly that, putting
- 7:16Speaker 4: a racial overtone in the whole thing, which potentially could
- 7:19Speaker 4: import a hate crime.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Nah, that's interesting. Lemon could be charged also with hate crime.
- 7:24Speaker 4: There is a job career protester, and it has developed
- 7:28Speaker 4: over the last let's say a dozen years or so
- 7:30Speaker 4: into a very lucrative industry, and you have people who
- 7:34Speaker 4: do this for a living, make a ton of money.
- 7:37Speaker 4: They weaponize people who don't know any better, and to
- 7:39Speaker 4: use the Leninist term, useful idiots. They're looking for any
- 7:42Speaker 4: cause in the world. They get them out of the
- 7:44Speaker 4: campuses pretty good.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Hey, the Clintons are in tremendous legal jeopardy. They have
- 7:50Speaker 2: defied a congressional subpoena. They have refused to testify, and
- 7:56Speaker 2: when you do that, you go to prison. That's what
- 7:58Speaker 2: happened to Steve Bannon, That's what happened to Peter They
- 8:00Speaker 2: refused to testify. When they got the subpoena in front
- 8:03Speaker 2: of Congress, they went to prison. So you could actually
- 8:07Speaker 2: send the Clintons to prison. They've actually done exactly what
- 8:11Speaker 2: Steve Bannon did, exactly what Navarro did. Here's crazy goofy,
- 8:17Speaker 2: Hakim Jefferies.
- 8:18Speaker 1: If COMA tries to bring this resolution, he wants to
- 8:23Speaker 1: lock Hillary Clinton up, consistent with what Donald Trump's been
- 8:27Speaker 1: saying now for ten years. Lock her up, as opposed
- 8:31Speaker 1: to actually focusing on the things that matter for the
- 8:34Speaker 1: American people, then we'll deal with it appropriately.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That's when you know they're in trouble instead of focusing
- 8:41Speaker 2: on what's important for the American people. When they put
- 8:44Speaker 2: Trump on trial in four places, did Hakim Jeffrey say, hey,
- 8:46Speaker 2: focus on what's important for the American people. No, Now,
- 8:50Speaker 2: the only argument protecting the Clintons is, well, Steve Bannon,
- 8:54Speaker 2: that's what this is an ex president. It's different if
- 8:56Speaker 2: it's an ex president. Well not really. You put the
- 9:00Speaker 2: arrested Donald Trump in four different places five thousand times.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So apparently according to the Merrick Garland Joe Biden standard,
- 9:07Speaker 2: it's not different when it's the next president. Hey, you
- 9:10Speaker 2: know who died. I can't believe it. Uncle Floyd. You
- 9:13Speaker 2: remember Uncle Floyd. Now there'll be plenty of people don't
- 9:16Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about, but plenty of people who do.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Uncle Floyd wasn't that old. He was seventy four. Floyd Vivino,
- 9:23Speaker 2: of course, hosted that children's TV show for years. He
- 9:26Speaker 2: also was a great comedian and a great musician pianist.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Uncle Floyd gone at the age of seventy four. This
- 9:34Speaker 2: is back in the way, way way in the past,
- 9:38Speaker 2: like a way back into the eighties when he has
- 9:41Speaker 2: on Uah Chef. You remember that there was regular TV
- 9:46Speaker 2: and there was UA Chef and on his case, I
- 9:47Speaker 2: think it was Channel sixty eight out of New Jersey.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You know, kids today you wouldn't believe it. You had
- 9:53Speaker 2: a TV that had an antenna and there was channel two, four, five, seven, nine, eleven,
- 10:00Speaker 2: and then there was UHF. You could switch over this
- 10:02Speaker 2: UHF where there was like a channel fifty and the channels.
- 10:05Speaker 2: This sounds like the Flintstones. This sounds so primitive. It
- 10:09Speaker 2: sounds like cavemen who knew back then that within a
- 10:13Speaker 2: few years there'd be cable and two hundred channels, and
- 10:17Speaker 2: then years after that there'd be cable and six hundred channels.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And I remember we had cable with six hundred channels,
- 10:25Speaker 2: and there was still nothing to watch. You could have
- 10:28Speaker 2: eight hundred channels, You're still watching Law and Order reruns
- 10:30Speaker 2: and that's it. But then streaming begins and everybody forgets
- 10:34Speaker 2: about regular TV. Everything is streaming now. You know, it
- 10:39Speaker 2: used to be a big deal network TV. It means
- 10:41Speaker 2: absolutely nothing anymore. You know, you used to wait and
- 10:43Speaker 2: see if your favorite show got picked up for the
- 10:45Speaker 2: next year. They just announced all the renewals for next year. Tracker,
- 10:50Speaker 2: that's like the biggest show in network TV. Tracker got
- 10:53Speaker 2: the renewed, Mattlock got renewed. There's like a new Mattlock.
- 10:56Speaker 2: It's not Andy Griffin. I think it's a woman this time.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Boston Blue got renewed, but only for eight episodes. That's
- 11:04Speaker 2: not a good saying. All the NCIS has got renewed.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Fire Country got renewed. That's everywhere now, this Fire Country,
- 11:10Speaker 2: I don't even know what the hell it is. Sydney Survivor.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I don't even know most of these shows. Georgie and
- 11:19Speaker 2: Mandy's first marriage. Anybody know what that is? I don't
- 11:21Speaker 2: know the Amazing Race, I know what that is. Elizabeth
- 11:24Speaker 2: got Elsbeth got the renewed. Okay, so but again it
- 11:28Speaker 2: doesn't mean anything. Nobody watches network TV anymore. It's all streaming. Hey,
- 11:33Speaker 2: Donald Trump has announced a big lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase.
- 11:39Speaker 2: JP Morgan Chase being sued by Trump now for five
- 11:42Speaker 2: billion dollars. And he's got a great case. When he
- 11:46Speaker 2: was the ex president a few years ago, JP Morgan
- 11:50Speaker 2: Chase de banked him. In other words, they refused to
- 11:54Speaker 2: allow him to have a bank account. He had many
- 11:56Speaker 2: bank accounts there, not personally but for his business. You're
- 11:59Speaker 2: talking but hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars,
- 12:04Speaker 2: and they threw them out of the bank. Now, if
- 12:06Speaker 2: you have a remember Trump has a major, major corporation
- 12:10Speaker 2: that's a global empire doing business all over the world.
- 12:13Speaker 2: That's impossible to run a business without bank accounts. In fact,
- 12:17Speaker 2: when you're a business, you have many, many bank accounts.
- 12:20Speaker 2: So to throw them out to dbank them and then
- 12:23Speaker 2: other banks followed, Bank of America and other banks followed.
- 12:26Speaker 2: So he couldn't believe it when it happened. How could
- 12:28Speaker 2: you be blacklisted from banks? You can't, how could you
- 12:31Speaker 2: stay in business? So it was a horrible, frightening thing
- 12:36Speaker 2: to do to a business. It wasn't just Trump. They
- 12:38Speaker 2: did it to a lot of conservatives. And Trump is
- 12:41Speaker 2: now suing them for five billion dollars. He most likely
- 12:45Speaker 2: will get a massive settlement. They'll probably settle with him
- 12:49Speaker 2: for a fortune, maybe even a billion dollars. Now, JP
- 12:54Speaker 2: Morgan Chase is a great company run by Jamie Diamond,
- 12:58Speaker 2: best CEO in America. Why would they do such a thing.
- 13:00Speaker 2: They wouldn't because it hurts the bank. Why would they
- 13:04Speaker 2: do it? The Biden administration forced them to. The Biden
- 13:08Speaker 2: administration threatened the banks with everything in the world. They're
- 13:11Speaker 2: totally regulated and dependent on government. The Biden administration threatened
- 13:16Speaker 2: them and forced them to do it. This is the
- 13:18Speaker 2: other reason for the lawsuit to get this to come
- 13:22Speaker 2: out in court. Now, Democrats may go to JP Morgan
- 13:27Speaker 2: Chase and make them settle this because they don't want
- 13:29Speaker 2: Democrats don't want this coming out in court that they
- 13:33Speaker 2: played this kind of game, the Shenanigans. So we'll see
- 13:36Speaker 2: what happens. No matter how it turns out, Donald Trump
- 13:39Speaker 2: will be getting a hell of a payday from this. Hey, well,
- 13:43Speaker 2: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to
- 13:45Speaker 2: two to one zero seven ten is the number eight
- 13:48Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven to ten
