- 0:04Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twists talking football and they
- 0:09Speaker 1: were a whist. So yea bed. But what did you expect?
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five whistles. Hello, brought to
- 0:21Speaker 1: you by draft King Sports Book, an official sports betting
- 0:24Speaker 1: partner of the NFL. Download the draftking Zapp and use
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Code Bobby Sports to get in on the action.
- 0:30Speaker 1: I'm blowing the sandboys because I'm fifteen and now ye
- 0:34Speaker 1: do it. I cannot believe it. I cannot believe it.
- 0:39Speaker 1: I hit my four game parlay. Hit One other bet too,
- 0:41Speaker 1: which is the Georgia game, but that was part of
- 0:43Speaker 1: the parley. But I did. It's just unbelievable, and I'm
- 0:47Speaker 1: not saying this bragging because I will never do this
- 0:49Speaker 1: again in my entire life. But I've given you, guys,
- 0:51Speaker 1: fifteen bets and I've hit all fifteen of them. And
- 0:53Speaker 1: the greatest thing for me was Saturday night, late night,
- 0:57Speaker 1: everybody tweeting and putting of receipts of their wins to
- 1:01Speaker 1: me people. It was awesome, and Kevin said, look at
- 1:04Speaker 1: everybody posting their their bed. So I had people he
- 1:07Speaker 1: hitting me up. Really Yeah, they were like, dude, I
- 1:09Speaker 1: took it Bla Blah and I'm like, I said, Kevin,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and you bet he goes without bet half of it
- 1:15Speaker 1: in two games was half. I was on Georgia and
- 1:18Speaker 1: Oklahoma and Eddie and I had to miss the third
- 1:20Speaker 1: one because we were at a wedding and there was
- 1:22Speaker 1: no cell so we didn't know. We watched the first
- 1:24Speaker 1: half of the Alabama game and then we left. Were
- 1:26Speaker 1: like do they cover, because it was forty nine and
- 1:28Speaker 1: a half. Then we drove back in and they did
- 1:31Speaker 1: and we're like, Oh my God, we just had Texas
- 1:33Speaker 1: to go. It's unbelievable. I think the craziest story of
- 1:36Speaker 1: all before we get into the warm up and the
- 1:37Speaker 1: tittle tattle, is read. Could you start on the microphone
- 1:40Speaker 1: right there, read, who works for me as my main
- 1:45Speaker 1: digital video guy outside of the radio show and is
- 1:48Speaker 1: on that. He makes the jingles on this show. Rid
- 1:51Speaker 1: had taken his profits from the other bets that I
- 1:53Speaker 1: had given him through the year and you had how
- 1:55Speaker 1: much money I had. Uh, I started with a hundred.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I profited four hundred from your last two bets. This guy. Yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and then then I took I took two hundred out
- 2:08Speaker 1: and put it in the Bank for you and then
- 2:09Speaker 1: I took the last two hundred and my dad came
- 2:13Speaker 1: up last weekend. So I was like I'm just gonna
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm just gonna wing it. I believe in you, Bobby.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I just threw it all in there for unreal that
- 2:23Speaker 1: to me was nuts, that he put that much money
- 2:26Speaker 1: down on this bet. I mean that's how much belief
- 2:28Speaker 1: he had in you. I was like don't. Don't have
- 2:30Speaker 1: that much belief. So what do you do with the money? Oh,
- 2:34Speaker 1: it's it's in the bank. Now, like this guy in
- 2:36Speaker 1: the bank making money, making money, being smart, keeping it going.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Must be proud. Yeah, Rand said he was so invested
- 2:44Speaker 1: because we had won the first three games. It was
- 2:46Speaker 1: to the fourth again, the Texas game, that he didn't
- 2:48Speaker 1: have long war network, so we bought it the game.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So if you subscribe on your home television or your
- 2:55Speaker 1: phone or what it was through sling. Yeah, they offered
- 2:58Speaker 1: the best package for it for one day. Were you
- 3:04Speaker 1: so pumped when you wont Oh, my Gosh, I was
- 3:06Speaker 1: so pumped. I was yeah, I couldn't sleep. I was
- 3:09Speaker 1: like this is amazing, it's amazing, it's amazing. I bet
- 3:11Speaker 1: a hundred and one dred and I was like it
- 3:13Speaker 1: was amazing. I couldn't sleep. I can imagine double that. So, yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 1: that's a lot of money. Congratulation. That's awesome. So warm
- 3:20Speaker 1: up question real quick for us three. What country makes
- 3:23Speaker 1: the best food? You cannot use America. What country makes
- 3:27Speaker 1: the best food? Let's go to kick off. Kevin. Kevin. Um,
- 3:32Speaker 1: I was gonna say Mexico, but I'll probably see Italy
- 3:36Speaker 1: and I've been there too and I've eaten it, so
- 3:38Speaker 1: it's fresh and seafood and everything. So I'll go with Italy. Eddie, yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 1: I gotta Go Mexico, Dude, that's my motherland. I mean
- 3:44Speaker 1: Mexican food is everyone's go to. What do you want? Tacos?
- 3:47Speaker 1: You Love Tacos. Everybody loves BURRITOS. Everybody was anti Ladas. Like,
- 3:50Speaker 1: Mexican food is the best. I'm also gonna go with
- 3:53Speaker 1: Mexican food because I don't like anything else. I mean,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I can eat a pizza. You like Chinese food, I
- 3:58Speaker 1: can eat pizza, but I like pizza. It right, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: that's not Italy. Yeah, I like Chinese food sometimes, but
- 4:05Speaker 1: I like fangs, which is kind of yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 1: so I'm going if I gotta go straight into one country,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and I'm gonna eat. It's Mexico. All right, that's the
- 4:14Speaker 1: warm up. Let's do the tittle tattle tattle. All right, Kevin,
- 4:25Speaker 1: what you got? All right, bobby. which comeback was the
- 4:27Speaker 1: most shocking to you? The dolphins, jets or the cardinals?
- 4:31Speaker 1: The reason it wasn't the jet. All were great, by
- 4:33Speaker 1: the way. I don't take anything away from anybody. The jets.
- 4:36Speaker 1: The reason it was fine. It was gives with the Browns,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and so it's like two terrible teams slugging it out. Yeah,
- 4:46Speaker 1: so great comeback. Was Cool see flat go in the
- 4:48Speaker 1: locker room pumped up. Its great, but not that one.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I watched the cardinals and the raiders because it was
- 4:57Speaker 1: a later game. You got to watch all of that
- 4:58Speaker 1: and couldn't believe it. That's second two point conversion was
- 5:01Speaker 1: like an inch over the guy's finger and right into
- 5:04Speaker 1: a back of the end zones. And then Renfro fumble twice,
- 5:07Speaker 1: which also is unbelievable because that guy's known as a
- 5:11Speaker 1: great hands, great ball control. That was crazy. But I'm
- 5:16Speaker 1: still gonna go with the dolphins. The fact that they
- 5:19Speaker 1: came back from that far down, the fact that there
- 5:23Speaker 1: are so many to a haters and that they beat
- 5:26Speaker 1: Lamar and they just beat a really good team and
- 5:29Speaker 1: it's cool to see it's an entire new staff in Baltimore.
- 5:33Speaker 1: You know, with a guy they're like, I don't know,
- 5:34Speaker 1: is he gonna he's a little quirky, he's a it
- 5:37Speaker 1: was awesome and I love to see unwaddle and he'll.
- 5:40Speaker 1: They both went off. Two went off six touchdowns, two interceptions.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I think that one because of who they beat and
- 5:46Speaker 1: how that game ended right on the right at the wire,
- 5:49Speaker 1: but I'm gonna go with that one is the most
- 5:50Speaker 1: surprising and if anybody disagrees, feel free to blow your whistle.
- 5:54Speaker 1: The all three were great. Football is drunk, as they say.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'll blow my whistle. Thank you. For a simple reason,
- 6:00Speaker 1: I didn't watch the Miami game. That's a good enough
- 6:03Speaker 1: but gosh man, that Raiders Arizona game and I was
- 6:06Speaker 1: pissed because at the I was watching the cowboys game
- 6:09Speaker 1: and the cowboys win. They don't. They make the field
- 6:11Speaker 1: goal whatever to win the game and they don't even
- 6:14Speaker 1: say bye. Roman wouldn't say bye. They cut right to
- 6:17Speaker 1: the raiders and the cardinals and I'm like, can I
- 6:20Speaker 1: just see that field goal? One more time, but now
- 6:22Speaker 1: I know why, because the end of that game was nuts.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The whole the whole league's bizarre. I'm gonna blow the
- 6:26Speaker 1: whistle on both of you because, as much as I
- 6:31Speaker 1: hate the jets, and you're right there, it was two teams,
- 6:33Speaker 1: the jets and the Browns, like who really cares about
- 6:35Speaker 1: these teams? But for the first time since two thousand
- 6:38Speaker 1: and one, a team came back when they were down
- 6:40Speaker 1: by thirteen points in the final two minutes. That's two games,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and you know who the last team was to blow
- 6:48Speaker 1: that lead? Cowboys? No, yes, it was the browns in
- 6:54Speaker 1: two thousand one. All three elite, really great endings to games, Eddie.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Now we're on a plane dreaming it, on a plane
- 7:01Speaker 1: streaming it, so you know it's not that good, and
- 7:03Speaker 1: it's like what was so funny, Kevin, is it would
- 7:08Speaker 1: freeze right when you know, like hill would get the
- 7:10Speaker 1: ball and they'd be two defenders ready to tackle him,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and bobby play. We'd played the game like does he
- 7:14Speaker 1: get tackled or not? It frozen over and over again.
- 7:20Speaker 1: A great, Great Week of games again, though. Yeah, next question. Alright,
- 7:24Speaker 1: sticking with the comebacks here, who proved more in their
- 7:26Speaker 1: comeback TOA or Kyler Murray to by far, not even close.
- 7:33Speaker 1: There are so many people that are anti Ta, saying
- 7:35Speaker 1: he doesn't have the arm strength. He doesn't have. You
- 7:37Speaker 1: could list, list, list, list. Kyler Murray's supposed to be elite.
- 7:42Speaker 1: That's why they paid him a billion dollars. He's supposed
- 7:44Speaker 1: to be elite. So he's supposed to do stuff like that.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Maybe not every single time. And if that situation happens again,
- 7:50Speaker 1: does he that that first two point conversion around for
- 7:54Speaker 1: twenty seconds, back and forth, but Kyler is supposed to
- 7:56Speaker 1: be elite. It's a big win, but it was a
- 7:59Speaker 1: bigger win for Miami, a bigger comeback for Tah and
- 8:03Speaker 1: I say to approve more than Kyler did that he like.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I agree with you. Yeah, Miami did need this win.
- 8:10Speaker 1: But kyler Murray, after all this deal with his contract,
- 8:13Speaker 1: in this four hours of game footage that he needs
- 8:16Speaker 1: to watch and all that. Yeah, they they obviously believe
- 8:19Speaker 1: that he wasn't. There was something missing with two with Kyler,
- 8:23Speaker 1: and he was gonna be good. He needed to show
- 8:26Speaker 1: the staff, he needed to show Arizona, he need to
- 8:29Speaker 1: show everyone that he is the man for that job,
- 8:31Speaker 1: especially signing that big contract. I was happy for him.
- 8:34Speaker 1: He needed that and I'm glad he played his man
- 8:36Speaker 1: he played his everything at the end of that game.
- 8:39Speaker 1: But he's done that before. Yeah, but to uh, I think,
- 8:41Speaker 1: has never done that. Right, but two has been hurt,
- 8:44Speaker 1: so we didn't know what too could. I still believe,
- 8:48Speaker 1: but that Toa was able to do that. We just
- 8:49Speaker 1: need to see him healthy. So I think now that
- 8:51Speaker 1: he's healthy, we can see what Ta was always Kyler
- 8:55Speaker 1: is really good. But also I'll watch a lot of
- 8:56Speaker 1: clips today on Tiktok where people were like this is
- 8:58Speaker 1: why Kyler needs to study film. And he missed like seven.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Seven blitz coming in, miss like so they said, and
- 9:05Speaker 1: they would show, okay, this linebackers coming out in this situation.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You've got to tell your tackle not to and he
- 9:10Speaker 1: missed over and over again. And so, but his athleticism,
- 9:15Speaker 1: he's got a really good arm. He looks like he's
- 9:17Speaker 1: four ft tall out there amongst giants. Yeah, he's just
- 9:20Speaker 1: running around. He's what are the six to? No, no, no,
- 9:24Speaker 1: he's under six. What are they listen to? Miss him
- 9:27Speaker 1: as probably six one. Yeah, so that's five nine. I'm
- 9:32Speaker 1: a big to a guy. I always have been, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: so I guess everything's to it from everything's coming up
- 9:37Speaker 1: to it, because I just I've always believed in him.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I felt like he was never getting like the fair shake.
- 9:43Speaker 1: But yes, it was an awesome game by calamary too.
- 9:46Speaker 1: All right, next up. All right, the bengals are off
- 9:47Speaker 1: to an o and to start, would you be worried
- 9:49Speaker 1: about a super bowl hangover? If you're a fan of
- 9:51Speaker 1: the BENGALS, their offensive line so right now, and they
- 9:54Speaker 1: have four new starting offensive linemen. This is the reason
- 9:59Speaker 1: for the most part, because there's so much communication that
- 10:01Speaker 1: has to happen between the two, and there's communication that
- 10:04Speaker 1: has to happen in in a way setting where you
- 10:06Speaker 1: can't even talk, meaning if you've just played together a lot,
- 10:10Speaker 1: you know if this linebacker comes into this gap, you
- 10:13Speaker 1: can just look and go. We've done this enough times,
- 10:16Speaker 1: I know what that look means. They don't have that
- 10:18Speaker 1: right now because it's four new offensive linemen. If I'm Sinnati,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm not worried. You've also lost both games by a
- 10:24Speaker 1: field goal. Dallas played good, their defense played really well. Um,
- 10:30Speaker 1: this is not a super bowl hangover. This is half
- 10:33Speaker 1: a step back. To take a step forward long term.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Maybe not the season, but over the next few years
- 10:38Speaker 1: for sure. But I just I've listened to so many
- 10:42Speaker 1: linemen talk about how hard it is, especially with limited
- 10:45Speaker 1: preseason and limited practice, so they don't get to get
- 10:50Speaker 1: the reps and they have to get them game time.
- 10:52Speaker 1: But I mean burrow is still, as they say, burrows
- 10:55Speaker 1: a dog and I always feel like he can win
- 10:57Speaker 1: the game. Do you feel like he tries to make
- 10:59Speaker 1: two many big plays? I think when he has to
- 11:01Speaker 1: he does. I don't think early he tries to cram
- 11:04Speaker 1: them in as much. Near the end of the game
- 11:06Speaker 1: he was happy he had no time to do anything.
- 11:09Speaker 1: There were times and Parsons would come off the edge
- 11:12Speaker 1: he would get blocked because they just didn't communicate. At
- 11:15Speaker 1: a time when he'd come up in a blitz package
- 11:18Speaker 1: and the tackle would block in and Parsons would be
- 11:23Speaker 1: like what's happening? He runs right to him, boom over.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So yes, but I think out of necessity or even fear,
- 11:29Speaker 1: sometimes getting crunched again until they get it together takes
- 11:32Speaker 1: a lot of hits. All right, next up. All right,
- 11:34Speaker 1: your razorbacks on Saturday looked like they were going to
- 11:37Speaker 1: be victims to a big time upset. How worried were you?
- 11:41Speaker 1: I'll answer that he was. He was stressing. Yeah, he
- 11:44Speaker 1: was stress. I was worried. I was worried because Bobby
- 11:48Speaker 1: Petrino is an excellent, excellent play caller. I know that
- 11:51Speaker 1: because we had him. We were top five in the
- 11:55Speaker 1: country with him, and it was a great game by
- 11:59Speaker 1: Missouri's Eight. They played every bit of their potential. They're
- 12:02Speaker 1: a really good FCS team. They're top five. They shouldn't
- 12:06Speaker 1: have played with us and we fumbled two fumbles early,
- 12:11Speaker 1: one on the one yard line. We don't turn the
- 12:13Speaker 1: ball over often. I say we like I played with
- 12:15Speaker 1: the teams. Yea, Um, but yes, I was worried. It's
- 12:19Speaker 1: four fourth quarter. We were down ten. Yeah, I'm glad
- 12:21Speaker 1: we I think we needed this game. Honestly, I'm glad
- 12:24Speaker 1: we came out of it. I think we needed this
- 12:25Speaker 1: game because we have a and M next. I'm glad
- 12:27Speaker 1: they want to beat Miami. Big For them and bad,
- 12:30Speaker 1: bad win for us. There's no such thing as a
- 12:31Speaker 1: bad win, but a bad win as far as like
- 12:32Speaker 1: how you're feeling on in the next game. We're a
- 12:35Speaker 1: top ten team and I think maybe they were like
- 12:37Speaker 1: our top ten team baby, and now it's like, okay,
- 12:39Speaker 1: we're top ten, but we gotta we gotta go, like
- 12:42Speaker 1: we still gotta go. So I'm I was worried, but
- 12:45Speaker 1: I'm happy now because I think you practiced a little
- 12:47Speaker 1: harder head into a big week. Did you expect to
- 12:50Speaker 1: watch the game at the wedding reception? Because I thought
- 12:53Speaker 1: I would never have turned it on. The way. We
- 12:55Speaker 1: missed the first half because we were at the wedding
- 12:57Speaker 1: and there was no cell games started at four. Wedding
- 12:59Speaker 1: started it and I couldn't wear my necklace because we
- 13:03Speaker 1: were in the wedding. His lucky Princess Necklace, and then
- 13:05Speaker 1: I put it on and we came back and won
- 13:07Speaker 1: the game. So that's what it is. But but Kevin, Kevin,
- 13:10Speaker 1: we're at a wedding reception in California, where we traveled
- 13:13Speaker 1: thousands of miles to get to, and we're all having
- 13:17Speaker 1: the dinner reception and Bobby's like, there's a big TV
- 13:20Speaker 1: there and there's nothing on it. Can we get that Arkansas?
- 13:22Speaker 1: I turn it on and I know that is not
- 13:25Speaker 1: first of all, there were like ten people there and
- 13:28Speaker 1: it's a friend. It was a wedding reception. It's a
- 13:30Speaker 1: friend that I love dearly. However, if you know, it
- 13:35Speaker 1: would be like if I was a Vegan, you know
- 13:37Speaker 1: what you're gonna have to feed me if I'm not
- 13:39Speaker 1: a Vegan. But in the same way, you know at
- 13:42Speaker 1: my core, one of the most important things to my
- 13:45Speaker 1: life is football, and so we put it on the TV.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And did he mind? We never. We never anybody. We
- 13:54Speaker 1: just turned one and if it had been a five
- 13:57Speaker 1: hundred people and a big team, I would probably put
- 14:00Speaker 1: it on my phone on my knee and tried that,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but I would have watched it. Did More People Watch
- 14:03Speaker 1: it with you? No, not really, not really, no, nobody did.
- 14:08Speaker 1: It's funny too, because the way the dinner table was
- 14:10Speaker 1: set up, you know, the TV was against the back wall.
- 14:13Speaker 1: So we, me and Bobby's wife, made the joke of
- 14:16Speaker 1: like hey, sit him there were his backs against the
- 14:18Speaker 1: TV and he has to like sit there. It's like no, no, no,
- 14:21Speaker 1: we're not doing the selfish but you know that part
- 14:23Speaker 1: of me, it's very selfish part of me when it
- 14:25Speaker 1: comes to raight back football. I love it. It wasn't
- 14:27Speaker 1: selfish of me to drive a hour up a mountain
- 14:30Speaker 1: to go to a wedding very self, fly across the
- 14:32Speaker 1: country to get an AIRBNB for a weekend and go out.
- 14:36Speaker 1: That's what friends do. It's selfless to be a good
- 14:39Speaker 1: friend right there with you. Yeah, okay, I'm all right, Ken, alright,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I will never I don't ever want to get married
- 14:45Speaker 1: during football season because of that. All right, last question
- 14:47Speaker 1: out west. USC is three and Oh and rolling. Do
- 14:49Speaker 1: you think Caleb Williams is the early front runner to
- 14:52Speaker 1: win the Heisman right now? I don't think he's the
- 14:54Speaker 1: front runner. I think he's in the group of front running,
- 14:56Speaker 1: which is Stroud and Caleb Williams and Bryce. I think,
- 15:00Speaker 1: because Bryce wanted last year, he's kind of not getting
- 15:04Speaker 1: the fairest of shape. Can you win too? Oh, yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 1: of course, absolutely. And so, but he's still third in
- 15:11Speaker 1: odds right now. USC doesn't really they don't play anybody
- 15:15Speaker 1: that great, honestly. And then they're also west coast, which
- 15:18Speaker 1: we don't get to see a lot of their stuff
- 15:20Speaker 1: because it's so late, but USC as a as a team,
- 15:22Speaker 1: gets put on television and pretty prime spots. Front rider, no,
- 15:26Speaker 1: but front running, and he'll if they go undefeated. Absolutely,
- 15:29Speaker 1: and think it was a couple of games. He's not
- 15:31Speaker 1: gonna you're not gonna have a shot, but you know,
- 15:35Speaker 1: it'll be interesting if somebody else can kind of if
- 15:37Speaker 1: Alabama gets beat, I think that's trouble for Bryce. But
- 15:42Speaker 1: I mean, listen, I ain't trying to get too homary.
- 15:45Speaker 1: We have the number one running with the number leading
- 15:48Speaker 1: rusher in the SEC and he's not getting any luck
- 15:51Speaker 1: at all. I haven't even heard him. No, I mean,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I've seen him, obviously, but I'm just saying I haven't
- 15:58Speaker 1: heard anybody talking about what I'm in. That's right back
- 16:03Speaker 1: in the SEC. Leads almost everything and so far, because
- 16:06Speaker 1: you didn't get any preseason hype, it's hard to pop that.
- 16:08Speaker 1: But if we're able to be D and M and
- 16:10Speaker 1: if God blesses me with the Alabama victory, him and
- 16:13Speaker 1: Kj both, because KJ is killing it too. All right,
- 16:15Speaker 1: that's tittle tattle. Let's go out of the tittle tattle now,
- 16:18Speaker 1: name the tittle tattle kid all right around the room.
- 16:27Speaker 1: One takeaway from the weekend, Eddie. Uh Yeah, I feel
- 16:31Speaker 1: really bad for Jimmy. Jimmy Garoppolo, like Trey Lance, gets
- 16:35Speaker 1: hurt and and they bring Jimmy G in and it's
- 16:38Speaker 1: like everyone's just like, Oh man, you know our starter
- 16:40Speaker 1: got hurt and we're doing but Jimmy Garoppolo is I
- 16:45Speaker 1: mean what how awesome for the forty niners to have
- 16:48Speaker 1: him still there. I think most of the teams still
- 16:50Speaker 1: wanted him to start because they had to go and
- 16:52Speaker 1: convince the locker room to give Trey Lance a chance
- 16:58Speaker 1: when he scored that on him. Awesome. It's just like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: you know, he's thirty three and fourteen, I believe, when
- 17:03Speaker 1: he starts, like let's give the dude some credit. Here
- 17:07Speaker 1: he is. He got the win this week and I'm
- 17:09Speaker 1: so happy for him. I'm a big Jimmy G fan,
- 17:11Speaker 1: just because nobody, the staff, doesn't believe in him. He
- 17:14Speaker 1: gets tossed around in the league. Like I love that
- 17:17Speaker 1: he's starting. He's now the starting quarterback for the Fort Niners.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Let me blow my whistle. I don't think the staff
- 17:24Speaker 1: doesn't believe in him. I think upper we'll call it
- 17:27Speaker 1: upper management. I think they drafted him in the top
- 17:30Speaker 1: five picks and now he's got to play. I think
- 17:32Speaker 1: that's and and you saw the Vegas odds actually get
- 17:35Speaker 1: better for San Francis gonna win the Super Bowl once
- 17:39Speaker 1: the Garoppolo was a starter. Also, they're fortunate to Garoppolo
- 17:42Speaker 1: is healed from his injury, because he could he couldn't
- 17:45Speaker 1: play in the preseason ball because he wasn't ready. He
- 17:47Speaker 1: couldn't get traded because he wasn't ready. So it's pretty
- 17:50Speaker 1: cool to see him to come out and play. Well,
- 17:52Speaker 1: I don't know him, I don't know anybody who knows him.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I don't know if he's good dude or not. Oh,
- 17:56Speaker 1: I don't mean personally. Heard like I'm rooting for him
- 18:00Speaker 1: and I drafted Trey Lanson fantasy way earlier than I
- 18:03Speaker 1: should have as my backup quarterback and I was like,
- 18:05Speaker 1: Oh crap, but I guess still the Disney movie part
- 18:07Speaker 1: of me I was like, let's go to you can
- 18:09Speaker 1: do it, we're gonna make a we're gonna make a
- 18:10Speaker 1: movie out of this. Kevin. One takeaway. My biggest takeaway
- 18:15Speaker 1: was my thankfulness for NFL red zone. Watching all these
- 18:19Speaker 1: comebacks after that Patriot game ended and I just saw,
- 18:22Speaker 1: you know, the dolphins coming back, the jets coming back,
- 18:24Speaker 1: all going on at the same time on one TV
- 18:27Speaker 1: and shout out to Scott Hands in the NFL network
- 18:29Speaker 1: for just putting it all on display and it was
- 18:31Speaker 1: a beautiful thing to see. My takeaway is gonna be
- 18:34Speaker 1: that I'm rooting for the Lions. I'm just rooting for
- 18:36Speaker 1: the Lions. I knew I kind of liked the lions.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I knew I kind of liked coach. I knew I
- 18:42Speaker 1: kind of like golf just because he's kind of been discarded,
- 18:46Speaker 1: but I'm just rooting for the lions, you know. And
- 18:48Speaker 1: they had the video after the game where Dan Skipper,
- 18:52Speaker 1: he got cut this season on Um hard knocks. He's
- 18:56Speaker 1: been a league six years, never made a team. He
- 18:59Speaker 1: had put him back on the price the squad. They
- 19:00Speaker 1: had to pull him off the practice squad because they've
- 19:02Speaker 1: had so many injuries in their offensive line. And he
- 19:05Speaker 1: plays guard, which he's never played until the game yesterday,
- 19:08Speaker 1: never started a game, and he played really well. Then
- 19:11Speaker 1: afterward Campbell was like, skipper, this is our guy six years.
- 19:15Speaker 1: He started, played excellent and the whole locker rooms going scoop, scoop,
- 19:18Speaker 1: skipp and skipper is about to start crying and then
- 19:21Speaker 1: they sent skipper out to the press first to talk
- 19:24Speaker 1: and it was it's just amazing, like, I don't like
- 19:26Speaker 1: what they're doing there. Man, if Hollywood's not taking notes
- 19:29Speaker 1: right now, like now is the time to start writing scripts.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Also like it because he played parks. But anyway, it's not.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You know, it's a great story. I just didn't want
- 19:38Speaker 1: to leave that. Knew I would be there. But I'm
- 19:41Speaker 1: also I'm just rooting for the Lions. Uh, I'm on
- 19:45Speaker 1: St Brown. Amazing. That dude's playing out of his mind,
- 19:48Speaker 1: out of his mind. So I'm rooting for the drafted
- 19:53Speaker 1: him earlier than normal because God said that's this guy
- 19:57Speaker 1: and I was like, I watch hard knocks and that
- 20:00Speaker 1: golf s guy. I'm gonna take him the fourth round,
- 20:02Speaker 1: and I did, and he's awesome. Do the lines blow it?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Do they blow it? Are they going to blow it? Because,
- 20:07Speaker 1: I mean, what's blowing? Like what's what's the I mean
- 20:12Speaker 1: you look at him now and you're like, okay, it's
- 20:14Speaker 1: I mean, you root for him because it's promising. Like
- 20:16Speaker 1: do they make the playoffs? Commanders aren't terrible either. They didn't.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It's not like to beat the jets. I'm just I'm
- 20:23Speaker 1: just blowing. Eight wins, nine wins, six wins, four wins.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I would say blowing it would be six wins. It's
- 20:30Speaker 1: right around there. I would it's probably where the line is. Actually,
- 20:33Speaker 1: I don't remember what the line was, but I think
- 20:35Speaker 1: they can win eight or nine. I think I picked
- 20:36Speaker 1: him to win nine. If they win only win five games,
- 20:38Speaker 1: I think that is probably them not feeling like they
- 20:42Speaker 1: reach their potential. Yeah, yeah, because they and yeah, I
- 20:47Speaker 1: just removed it for him. Campbell is awesome. I mean
- 20:49Speaker 1: he would not like me at a because I'm a WIMP,
- 20:51Speaker 1: but he's awesome. All right, that's our one takeaway from
- 20:55Speaker 1: the weekend. Appreciate that. Now let me tell you this.
- 20:58Speaker 1: As long as we're talking about draft, King is here,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna RECAP MY PARLAY. Georgia minus twenty four and
- 21:03Speaker 1: a half, Oklahoma minus eleven, Alabama minus forty nine and
- 21:06Speaker 1: a half, Texas minus twelve and a half. I bet
- 21:08Speaker 1: a hundred bucks. One undred bucks. It's crazy. Yes, that's right.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Thank you. Fifteen and Oh, on the season. I'm proud
- 21:15Speaker 1: to know you. You need a crown. I just I'm
- 21:18Speaker 1: just nervous and now I'm like, okay, I don't keep
- 21:20Speaker 1: it going on, but I can't think like that because
- 21:22Speaker 1: I never thought, oh, I did a four game so
- 21:24Speaker 1: I would not lose. But really test it. I was
- 21:26Speaker 1: like I'm gonna do four. I was about to do
- 21:28Speaker 1: a five and the other one that I had written
- 21:30Speaker 1: down was vandy plus three. That would have won to
- 21:32Speaker 1: oh my gosh, how'd have been awesome, because I bet that.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Neddie asked me while we were away, goes, why do
- 21:36Speaker 1: you aways bet vandy out of all the dues? Why
- 21:39Speaker 1: don't have vandy? Because I like to coach changing the culture. Alright,
- 21:45Speaker 1: so twenty five whistles. This podcast brought to you by

- 22:23Speaker 1: in Tennessee caller Texas tense redline eight hundred eight eight
- 22:26Speaker 1: nine nine, seven eight nine. In New York, call eight
- 22:29Speaker 1: seven seven eight, hope and wire text, hop and y four,
- 22:31Speaker 1: six seven, three, six nine. Okay, now you're feeling nervous.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Now with your next Parlay's and I know you don't
- 22:39Speaker 1: crack under pressure. I don't know, it's not really nervous,
- 22:41Speaker 1: because if I lose one baby, that's also great, great record. Yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 1: all right, let's go around the league. Here we go,
- 22:52Speaker 1: chargers and chiefs. We saw that one on Thursday night.
- 22:54Speaker 1: You just hope that the torn rib cartilage, the with
- 23:00Speaker 1: whatever they're diagnosing him. They're not saying rib with Herbert,
- 23:03Speaker 1: they're saying rib cartilage, which is I didn't meet between
- 23:08Speaker 1: your rib, which I didn't know you could like cry Carl.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I think it tear a car but anyway, you hope
- 23:14Speaker 1: Herbert's able to play because the charges are really good
- 23:17Speaker 1: and they should have won that game and we didn't
- 23:19Speaker 1: get a chance to talk about it, but that intercession
- 23:23Speaker 1: was fully on Herbert. He was gassed and he was
- 23:25Speaker 1: like take me out of the game, and then he
- 23:26Speaker 1: was tired and he didn't commit to the route. Really
- 23:31Speaker 1: good game, great game. Moving on, Patriots and steelers. Thought
- 23:35Speaker 1: from the game is that Trabisky wasn't very good, that
- 23:40Speaker 1: he's Trabisky fans. He struggled. They were they were yelling
- 23:45Speaker 1: for Kenny picket, which I think my over runner is
- 23:47Speaker 1: not gonna hit because another bad two games they'll probably
- 23:51Speaker 1: play him if he's ready to go. Uh. So, steelers lose.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Uh Trabiski does not play well. Patriots do. Gonna win, though. UH,
- 24:00Speaker 1: jets and browns. We talked about that. The jets with
- 24:02Speaker 1: let's just there. God, yeah, Jetson Brown's crazy comeback and
- 24:08Speaker 1: you saw. You saw an old quarterback and a brand
- 24:12Speaker 1: new wide receiver played pretty well. which rookie receiver had
- 24:15Speaker 1: over a hundred yards, boys and girls, which Wilson? Nobody
- 24:23Speaker 1: wanted to commit. Yes, so it was a good, good
- 24:27Speaker 1: win for the jets, good good win for New York
- 24:30Speaker 1: because they did pretty well as as a group. Yesterday.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Those two teams, giants and panthers, which I'll get to.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Giants Nineteen Panthers, Sixteen. I don't know. I don't say
- 24:42Speaker 1: about this, except it was two teams that didn't really
- 24:48Speaker 1: look like they deserve to play in that league. They
- 24:51Speaker 1: should be like relegated down the league. Um, what? What
- 24:55Speaker 1: do you want to say about that, Kevin? I just
- 24:57Speaker 1: want to say it looked like two teams that neither
- 24:59Speaker 1: of them wanted to win. So you know, you have
- 25:01Speaker 1: the win. No, you can have the wind over the wind.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Giants are two and Oh, though, to say what you will,
- 25:07Speaker 1: the giants are two and Oh, let's talk about the
- 25:11Speaker 1: bucks and the saints. First Time. The bucks be the
- 25:14Speaker 1: saints and a long time right, and the regular teas
- 25:17Speaker 1: and yeah, yeah, and so the whole deal was brady
- 25:21Speaker 1: was pissed at everybody early. Never really fell in love
- 25:24Speaker 1: with them, but the fight pretty interesting to watch. Now, yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 1: now they're investigating Arians and why he was on the
- 25:30Speaker 1: sideline the beginning with. What's he doing? Well, he's still
- 25:33Speaker 1: holding on. He's still he says he retired, but then
- 25:35Speaker 1: he was hired right after that to be like consultant
- 25:38Speaker 1: to the team. It's like, what's that winning time, you know,
- 25:41Speaker 1: when like Jerry West keeps coming back and forced himself
- 25:43Speaker 1: on the plane, like it's like that, dude, you're done.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Don't show up in your Hawaiian shirt and act like
- 25:47Speaker 1: you're all retired, cigar in your mouth, like they probably
- 25:50Speaker 1: wanted him down there. I think it's so funny to
- 25:52Speaker 1: see him on the sideline and he was Chirp and
- 25:54Speaker 1: two said Mike Evans, they had it. Yeah, he did,
- 25:58Speaker 1: and then Evans goes over and boom, yeah, and then
- 26:00Speaker 1: the rest he goes. That's Tom Brady and you can't
- 26:03Speaker 1: do that. But that has no that has no weight
- 26:07Speaker 1: to it, like he still can't do that, but you can,
- 26:11Speaker 1: and you have to. If somebody agree with that, if
- 26:13Speaker 1: somebody's on your quarterback and you feel like it's unjust
- 26:16Speaker 1: or even just, depending on the situation, you gotta go
- 26:19Speaker 1: stick out for your dude, and especially if it's Tom Brady,
- 26:22Speaker 1: because you want him to throw you the ball. No,
- 26:24Speaker 1: I get it, but arguing that to the REF is
- 26:26Speaker 1: not gonna like I don't think he was arguing it
- 26:28Speaker 1: as much as like he was like, sorry, man, that's
- 26:30Speaker 1: Tom Brady. You want to do yeah, he's like, I
- 26:32Speaker 1: had to do it, and so he'll probably get a
- 26:35Speaker 1: game or two. I would think, and then lattimore probably
- 26:37Speaker 1: get a game as well. Well, then Arians should get
- 26:40Speaker 1: a game or two. Arian'sill probably get taken off the side.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's that's that's what I'll happened there. Jaguars, cold zero.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I don't know. To the colts, are they the worst
- 26:50Speaker 1: team I've ever seen in my life, who I thought
- 26:52Speaker 1: was going to be pretty good? Their offensive line struggling,
- 26:56Speaker 1: Matt Ryan has no time to throw. When he does
- 26:58Speaker 1: he's not throwing well. The Jaguar I mean they passed
- 27:04Speaker 1: the ball pretty well yesterday, probably because the run game
- 27:08Speaker 1: opened it up so well. Honestly, you know, I'm so
- 27:11Speaker 1: Jaguars when over the colts in a division where everybody's like, well,
- 27:16Speaker 1: Colt should run away with this, but they're owing two
- 27:20Speaker 1: and they're not running away with it. They're back pedaling
- 27:23Speaker 1: quickly into the depths. I do expect them to get better, though.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I think it's another one of the situations where they're
- 27:27Speaker 1: trying to patch it together for later, like we talked
- 27:29Speaker 1: about with the Bengals, the offense, forty two, Ravens, thirty eight.
- 27:34Speaker 1: We talked about that. One of the great comebacks of
- 27:37Speaker 1: I'd say this season, but seasons only two weeks. That
- 27:40Speaker 1: does work, but still, cowboys twenty, bengal seventeen. Love it.
- 27:46Speaker 1: I bet. I told DDIE before the game I Bet
- 27:48Speaker 1: Dallas plus seven and a half and I bet dallas
- 27:51Speaker 1: money line, and then I've Got Dallas in game plus
- 27:54Speaker 1: four and a half and it was amazing. I just believed. Nah,
- 27:59Speaker 1: I just hoped. Do you, man. I'm so proud of them.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I'm just thank God forgiving US Michael Parsons. I think
- 28:07Speaker 1: he's a game changer for the cowboys and in this
- 28:10Speaker 1: time of terrible, terrible, uh season, with Dak out and,
- 28:14Speaker 1: you know, US struggling with our receivers and everything, Michael
- 28:17Speaker 1: Parsons is helping us get through it. The defense was
- 28:19Speaker 1: amazing and then hey, cooper, cooper, rush, dude, keep doing
- 28:22Speaker 1: what you're doing. Very Trent dill for like like pretty good,
- 28:29Speaker 1: but it's always got to play. If your defense can
- 28:30Speaker 1: play like that, we'll take it like rush didn't do
- 28:33Speaker 1: anything to lose the game, which is almost all you
- 28:36Speaker 1: need him to do. Tony Pollard, what's up, buddy? You Listen? Yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 1: they need to switch thus too, I think, and they're
- 28:41Speaker 1: switching out every series. It seemed like like full on.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Even when Pollard caught that pass and they said he
- 28:47Speaker 1: was out at the one after like a forty yard,
- 28:50Speaker 1: they still put polar back in for the goal line carry.
- 28:52Speaker 1: So I think I'm so glad he deserved that score. Yeah, sure,
- 28:55Speaker 1: I mean, I think you do all the Legwork to
- 28:57Speaker 1: get there, that's your touchdown. Yeah, unless you're tired. Well,
- 29:00Speaker 1: I guess I was pretty pump. That's pretty pumping. The cowboys, broncos.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Sixteen Texans, nine broncos. Are Not looking like I thought
- 29:11Speaker 1: the broncos would look and they're making a lot of
- 29:13Speaker 1: coaching blunders early on too. So that's the battle of
- 29:17Speaker 1: two teams that you're just like, all right, do both
- 29:20Speaker 1: of you suck? The Texans probably, but they want. They
- 29:24Speaker 1: beat the colts last, but the colts also suck. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 1: so far you take away in that game. But I'm
- 29:30Speaker 1: still I'm trying to be patient with the Broncos, just
- 29:31Speaker 1: like with the Bengals we were talking about. I don't
- 29:33Speaker 1: know if they're trying to figure it out, but Wilson
- 29:34Speaker 1: does not look good at it isn't good. But again,
- 29:37Speaker 1: if you're not getting time and in their time management
- 29:39Speaker 1: the clock again understand the coaching stuff. That's that's on
- 29:42Speaker 1: the coaching right there. Cardinals, Tye raters twenty three. They
- 29:48Speaker 1: were popping bottles in Vegas, which that just a little premature.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Then they lost. I couldn't believe Renfro wasn't want to
- 29:57Speaker 1: fumble it twice. That was crazy. That's a good game.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Last night, packers twenty seven, bears ten. It almost was
- 30:04Speaker 1: a game. It was almost a game and that ball
- 30:07Speaker 1: probably crossed the goal line, but that you could literally
- 30:09Speaker 1: couldn't see it, and they've already established that rule and precedent.
- 30:12Speaker 1: So Aaron Rodgers own Chicago yet again. Nine or twenty seven,
- 30:17Speaker 1: seahawks seven. It was cool to see Jimmy G. Yeah, actually,
- 30:21Speaker 1: we hate to see an injury. I mean, you hate it,
- 30:23Speaker 1: but I love seeing Jimmy G win that game. And
- 30:27Speaker 1: Rams started one, Falcons twenty seven. This is one of
- 30:30Speaker 1: those games that almost was like the other games. It
- 30:32Speaker 1: was out. The Rams had one the game. Oh they haven't,
- 30:35Speaker 1: Oh crap. And then and and the Falcons had a
- 30:37Speaker 1: shot at the end. And I like Mariota. He's playing.
- 30:40Speaker 1: He's playing pretty good. He's playing pretty good. All right,
- 30:43Speaker 1: there you go. That's that's the list of your NFL scores. Hey, hotty,
- 30:46Speaker 1: what was the deal with your bet of the week? Now,
- 30:48Speaker 1: I think we're out of time, right. Did your bet
- 30:51Speaker 1: your car bet of the week? It was it? Yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 1: I walked to work today because I bet the steelers
- 30:56Speaker 1: plus two and they're playing the Patriots and they lost
- 31:00Speaker 1: three points. Just checking in on that. Thanks, Hey. Can
- 31:04Speaker 1: I borrow your car for the next couple of as
- 31:07Speaker 1: far as N C double a, there there wasn't a
- 31:09Speaker 1: lot of games that actually were close and mattered. Oklahoma
- 31:15Speaker 1: Killed Nebraska and I think a lot of people wondered
- 31:17Speaker 1: if Nebraska would come out and play for their new
- 31:19Speaker 1: assistant coach that they love, and they did, and then
- 31:22Speaker 1: they fired. Their defensive coordination got worse. Yeah, so Oklahoma that.
- 31:27Speaker 1: That's another guy, Gabriel, who's in the heisman race now,
- 31:30Speaker 1: quarterback in Oklahoma. Um B Y U and Oregon wasn't
- 31:33Speaker 1: much of a game either. That was a shocker to me.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I think they're just worn out from last week. Maybe
- 31:38Speaker 1: against Oregon Oregon played really well. I guess. The one
- 31:42Speaker 1: game that was close, uh, in two ranked teams was
- 31:45Speaker 1: a and M in Miami, and it was a touchdown game.
- 31:48Speaker 1: And and M changed out the quarterbacks and so you
- 31:51Speaker 1: know it's a kid from L S U last year
- 31:53Speaker 1: who's now starting in in Uh college station for Texas
- 31:56Speaker 1: A and m they win seventeen to nine over Miami.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I think he'll be a lot better this week against Arkansas.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Second starts always when it starts to slow down for
- 32:04Speaker 1: you a little bit, although we started to L S
- 32:06Speaker 1: U before. But Texan M wins. After that. appalation state
- 32:09Speaker 1: lost about states. Hell Mary to win the game. Hell Mary,
- 32:12Speaker 1: they throw it. It's short of the goal line, but tip,
- 32:14Speaker 1: the guy catches on the back side and runs around. Unbelievable.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I saw the rankings come out. Did that state you
- 32:21Speaker 1: can put in the top twenty five? They did not.
- 32:23Speaker 1: They didn't. I never looked down that far for Arkansas.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I looked down that far. Yeah, the reason I went
- 32:31Speaker 1: down that far is the look for APP state and
- 32:33Speaker 1: they were not on there. Okay, we're gonna go now
- 32:36Speaker 1: because I think we're good right. We're gonna go, Mike
- 32:38Speaker 1: to the DDP interview. I was a huge wrestling fan
- 32:41Speaker 1: as a kid up until my teenage years, and Diamond
- 32:44Speaker 1: Dallas page was one of the guys that I watched
- 32:46Speaker 1: in w CW and then when w w e bottom
- 32:48Speaker 1: and he's in the hall of fame, and I mean
- 32:50Speaker 1: he's sixty five. He does not look like a sixty
- 32:53Speaker 1: five year old or sixty six. He is physically a
- 32:57Speaker 1: beast still, and not big and bulky, but like tall, lean, strong.
- 33:02Speaker 1: So this is Diamond Dallas page. I hope you enjoy
- 33:05Speaker 1: his six five, six six. He talks about how you
- 33:07Speaker 1: got into wrestling late in life. Beast. Just a really
- 33:10Speaker 1: fun interview for me. So enjoy this interview with Diamond
- 33:13Speaker 1: Dallas page. I'm a big Fan. I appreciate you coming. Yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 1: you know really like I, I guess for me, stopped
- 33:23Speaker 1: being a super dedicated wrestling fan after you were done.
- 33:27Speaker 1: So I got to really experience like you and your
- 33:30Speaker 1: prime and it was it was just a big fan
- 33:32Speaker 1: of your work as a wrestler. Thank you so much.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I'm heeting out for a second. I got to some
- 33:36Speaker 1: other stuff, but you should know that doing this like
- 33:38Speaker 1: just a massive fan. Well, thank you, man. You know,
- 33:41Speaker 1: like my angel has said, you know, they may not
- 33:43Speaker 1: remember your name and what you did, but apel will
- 33:46Speaker 1: always remember the way that made you feel. That's how
- 33:48Speaker 1: I remember, that's how that's how I feel in what
- 33:52Speaker 1: do your friends call you? Like? What's your name? My
- 33:55Speaker 1: original name was Paige Joseph Falkenburgh. I knew that was
- 33:58Speaker 1: never going to draw any money in the purest and
- 34:02Speaker 1: I was a big Dallas Cowboy fan growing up as
- 34:04Speaker 1: a kid. Uh, you know, de Landrieira, saw about all
- 34:07Speaker 1: that stuff coming up through that and uh Um, I
- 34:10Speaker 1: like the name Dallas and when I tried to wrestle
- 34:13Speaker 1: I was twenty three didn't work out for me. I
- 34:15Speaker 1: had three matches to hurt my knee and it was
- 34:18Speaker 1: the same knee. I hit my car when I was twelve,
- 34:20Speaker 1: which changed my life because I was like a football fanatic.
- 34:24Speaker 1: I was gonna be playing, in my mind, you know,
- 34:27Speaker 1: defensive enfor Dallas Cowboys. But I walked out in front
- 34:30Speaker 1: of that car and hit my right knee. My face
- 34:32Speaker 1: bounced off the hood and I flew at twelve. How
- 34:36Speaker 1: did you not die? I don't know what luckily happened. God, God, uh.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I woke up in snow because it was snowing. I
- 34:45Speaker 1: woke up and they wanted to get me to the
- 34:47Speaker 1: hospital right away. The ambulance ever came. It was kind
- 34:50Speaker 1: of nine and you remember this though it's not like
- 34:53Speaker 1: you didn't. I remember that. I remember waking up and
- 34:56Speaker 1: seeing a woman go, Oh my God, look at his face.
- 34:59Speaker 1: My those is out the year, blood red eyes. That
- 35:05Speaker 1: the thing, you know. I always say that what looks
- 35:08Speaker 1: like the worst thing that ever happened to you can
- 35:10Speaker 1: be the best. Now they took football away from him,
- 35:12Speaker 1: which crushed me, but the only thing he was left
- 35:16Speaker 1: was baseball and basketball, and I sucked at both, you know.
- 35:19Speaker 1: But baseball you gotta have at least someone to throw.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Basketball you can do all by yourself. And I made
- 35:24Speaker 1: the team in eighth grade by sat on the bench,
- 35:27Speaker 1: and I swore that would never happen again. And what
- 35:30Speaker 1: I learned by playing every day all day and becoming
- 35:33Speaker 1: one of the best on the Jersey shore? Uh, I
- 35:36Speaker 1: learned at work ethic equals results. How tall are you now?
- 35:40Speaker 1: Like six foot right now, and when I wrestled, I
- 35:44Speaker 1: was like when you were the eighth, ninth grade, how
- 35:47Speaker 1: big are you? Six three, yeah, quick, yeah, I was skinny.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I mean I'm talking about a hundred forty pounds. At
- 35:53Speaker 1: sixty three I was all boes Um. But in in
- 35:57Speaker 1: sixth grade I just made the weight because I so
- 36:00Speaker 1: I was skinny when I was light. In seventh grade
- 36:02Speaker 1: I just made a weight to play pop pop warner.
- 36:05Speaker 1: But by eighth grade, came around ninth grade, I started
- 36:07Speaker 1: growing and six, I was six four. By twent wasn't
- 36:10Speaker 1: a freshman and we, uh, you know, we we went
- 36:12Speaker 1: undefeated my freshman year. My sophomore year three of us
- 36:15Speaker 1: went up the Varsity. So it was like three from
- 36:17Speaker 1: that undefeated team and uh, it was. It was a
- 36:21Speaker 1: great run. And again it taught me, like inside this
- 36:24Speaker 1: hall of Fame Ring, W W Hall of Fame Ring,
- 36:27Speaker 1: inside it it says work ethic equals dreams. Explanation Point DP.
- 36:32Speaker 1: So when you finished high school, do you try to
- 36:34Speaker 1: play ball anywhere? Um, here's the thing about high school.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Like I I was reading at a third grade level
- 36:40Speaker 1: of the age of thirty. Yeah, I read that in
- 36:42Speaker 1: your thirties, that you couldn't read that of like a
- 36:46Speaker 1: sixth seventh grade. Yeah, where. Why did that happen? Well,
- 36:49Speaker 1: a D D. I didn't know about a D D
- 36:51Speaker 1: and dyslexia then. You know, I didn't know until I
- 36:54Speaker 1: was in my early thirties when my first wife, Kimberly,
- 36:57Speaker 1: who's still one of my closest friends and one of
- 36:59Speaker 1: my business partners. UH, she's like, Oh my God, you're dyslexic.
- 37:04Speaker 1: and Go back to things like some people call me page,
- 37:07Speaker 1: that I grew up with, but they all know when
- 37:09Speaker 1: we go out they call me Dallas. Why? Because it's
- 37:13Speaker 1: branding right. And then people Oh, I want to call
- 37:15Speaker 1: him page, and like no, because it confuses other people.
- 37:19Speaker 1: So maybe by Dallas or diamond or dally or diamond
- 37:22Speaker 1: day or whatever I was. I go by any of those.
- 37:25Speaker 1: But you know, back to Kim saying, Oh my God,
- 37:28Speaker 1: you're dyslexica. Go what's that? And I literally started, you know,
- 37:34Speaker 1: just taking the moments that would take forever to read
- 37:38Speaker 1: to try to create repetition because you know, more reps
- 37:40Speaker 1: you get, the better you get. But it was so
- 37:42Speaker 1: hard for me until I was forty seven and then
- 37:46Speaker 1: I was at the UH arrist learning center in L
- 37:49Speaker 1: A in Culver City and a woman who was eighty
- 37:52Speaker 1: five years old than a buddy mine who had dyslexia
- 37:55Speaker 1: had been five years before that. She had worked with him.
- 37:58Speaker 1: She's eighty five and she work with me every Tuesday
- 38:01Speaker 1: and every Thursday and she decided to go more homework
- 38:05Speaker 1: than anybody ever. And that's where it really I had
- 38:09Speaker 1: to because now is the time. I was acting and
- 38:12Speaker 1: all that. I wanted to get better. I just didn't
- 38:14Speaker 1: want to be able to read, and I'm still not
- 38:16Speaker 1: great at it, but I'm pretty good. You know, I
- 38:18Speaker 1: can get away. I got everything. My Wife Page, she
- 38:22Speaker 1: reads yeahe page page now, but her nick her nickname,
- 38:31Speaker 1: her maiden name, McMahon. No relationship. What kind of Dyslexia
- 38:38Speaker 1: did you have? Um, you know that. I know I
- 38:42Speaker 1: it's still it's still part of what you know, if
- 38:44Speaker 1: I have to really focus, you know, and really like
- 38:47Speaker 1: Dialand and not hear anybody, if I'm listening to classical music,
- 38:50Speaker 1: I can read really well. You know, I'm not gonna
- 38:52Speaker 1: be listening in the country and singing a song. I'm
- 38:54Speaker 1: trying to read. You know something. She can do that, um,
- 38:58Speaker 1: but it's it was a challenge and what you're you know,
- 39:02Speaker 1: you're born like that. But I think I'm gonna give
- 39:03Speaker 1: you a list of guys who are dyslexic. Um, J Leno,
- 39:08Speaker 1: Tom Cruise, Muhammad Ali. You know, you figure out ways
- 39:12Speaker 1: around it and eventually I got with the teacher and
- 39:15Speaker 1: she gave me all these little muscle games, like brain games,
- 39:20Speaker 1: to figure stuff out. Then she gave me different exercises.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Every school should because there's so many kids that are
- 39:27Speaker 1: dyslexic and a D D and D H D, that
- 39:30Speaker 1: they should have these this this type of teaching in
- 39:34Speaker 1: every school, but now they have it in certain schools
- 39:37Speaker 1: and they charge your fortune for it. I was reading
- 39:39Speaker 1: a book where they were talking about, like you, listed
- 39:41Speaker 1: people that are very famous and successful now that had,
- 39:44Speaker 1: they still have, but had learning disabilities as a kid
- 39:48Speaker 1: whenever the learning disabilities weren't known yet, so they weren't
- 39:51Speaker 1: able to get a fixed, but they had to there
- 39:54Speaker 1: they became so talented at other things because they were
- 39:56Speaker 1: having to work around it, you know, since you know
- 40:00Speaker 1: they could. Some of them had dyslexi. Since they couldn't read,
- 40:02Speaker 1: they had to learn how to read people better. They
- 40:04Speaker 1: had to learn, you know, how to make deals and
- 40:08Speaker 1: communicate in a more effective way. What do you think
- 40:10Speaker 1: your skill was that you developed? Instead of because you
- 40:14Speaker 1: had to somehow compensate for the ability to read? Well, cheated,
- 40:19Speaker 1: became an expert cheater. I had people write my stuff
- 40:22Speaker 1: for me and I learned quid pro quo as a
- 40:25Speaker 1: child you know, I'll help you, you help me. and Um,
- 40:31Speaker 1: it really became part of my DNA when I heard
- 40:33Speaker 1: Zig ziggler say you can get whatever you want as
- 40:36Speaker 1: long as you help enough people get what they want.
- 40:39Speaker 1: And that's my life. And Uh, a lot of people
- 40:43Speaker 1: would help me, you know, and I would help them.
- 40:45Speaker 1: So I also learned to adapt that. We both had
- 40:48Speaker 1: very young moms. UH, by the time I was three
- 40:50Speaker 1: years old, my mom was married, divorced and I had
- 40:52Speaker 1: three kids. He was nineteen and when my parents went up,
- 40:57Speaker 1: my brother's sister and my mom went to give him
- 40:58Speaker 1: to my grandmother and she had moved up to North
- 41:01Speaker 1: Jersey to make more money. I would live my dad,
- 41:03Speaker 1: my dad back then, he could even spell the word
- 41:05Speaker 1: father to let alone be one. So this is another
- 41:08Speaker 1: thing that looks like the worst thing, where people get
- 41:10Speaker 1: really mad. You know, they hold it in their childhood.
- 41:13Speaker 1: I bounce around from one family to another like a pinball.
- 41:16Speaker 1: A lot of people will be really carry that anger.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I don't because, you know, I believe that holding onto
- 41:23Speaker 1: the anger or the hate or the negativity is like
- 41:26Speaker 1: me swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.
- 41:30Speaker 1: And I figured that out as time went on. But
- 41:33Speaker 1: the really positive side about bounce around from one family
- 41:35Speaker 1: to another became incredibly adaptable. Yeah, I think that's the
- 41:38Speaker 1: skill that I have to I like, I literally can
- 41:41Speaker 1: find something to bond or relate to with anybody. Just
- 41:46Speaker 1: I've ride through so much in so many places that
- 41:49Speaker 1: it doesn't matter, like we got something in common, you know,
- 41:53Speaker 1: at all times. So you finished high school. When does
- 41:56Speaker 1: because you're obviously a large, tall guy and you're athletic.
- 42:00Speaker 1: When does wrestling even come into your mind, as it
- 42:03Speaker 1: can be something that you do? Oh, as as a
- 42:05Speaker 1: ten year old kid, it came into my mind, but
- 42:07Speaker 1: you're you're just dreaming, you know. But then when I
- 42:12Speaker 1: became seventeen it became more and then by the time
- 42:15Speaker 1: I was twenty three, I was at a buddy my
- 42:18Speaker 1: named John Shipley, and we'd go in to see a
- 42:21Speaker 1: wrestling show and Grilla Mont soon was there and when
- 42:24Speaker 1: he left he was the main event. He just left
- 42:28Speaker 1: a little people. He grabbed this bag is asbury Convention
- 42:31Speaker 1: Center in New Jersey, and we just went and pestor
- 42:35Speaker 1: to hell out of him, like any other mark would do,
- 42:38Speaker 1: and he gave us a name and we went up
- 42:42Speaker 1: and start training with him, but I could only do
- 42:43Speaker 1: it most two times a week. Oh, the nightclub business.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I was seventeen, so nightclubs was like a bounced barten
- 42:53Speaker 1: and Matt Yale by by the time when I hurt
- 42:56Speaker 1: my knee from wrestling, I had three matches. I mean
- 42:58Speaker 1: I was, I was, but you know I had a
- 43:02Speaker 1: look back even back then, with a long blonde hair
- 43:05Speaker 1: and you know, back then I was about to forty
- 43:07Speaker 1: or whatever, so I had the size and a look
- 43:09Speaker 1: and a lot of guys weren't that tall. It was
- 43:11Speaker 1: really surprising to me, Um, but I got a chance
- 43:15Speaker 1: at doctor told me to take awful month, you know,
- 43:17Speaker 1: let the knee rest, and I thought well, I got
- 43:21Speaker 1: an opportunity here to run the little rock and roll
- 43:23Speaker 1: joint and then I just got swept away by the Bruge,
- 43:26Speaker 1: the booze, the broads in the party, you know, and
- 43:28Speaker 1: it was the nightclub life until uh I was running
- 43:32Speaker 1: a huge club in Fort Myers, Florida, and Jake Roberts
- 43:35Speaker 1: walks in my club, which not to completely jump off tracks,
- 43:39Speaker 1: I want to get back to it, but when you
- 43:40Speaker 1: mentioned earlier helped the people that you can like, I
- 43:43Speaker 1: watched when it came out. I watched the documentary. You
- 43:45Speaker 1: did a jake like as soon as the day it
- 43:47Speaker 1: came out, like I watched it, and awesome and really sad. Yes,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I mean both at the same time, like they were
- 43:56Speaker 1: just walking together. And I was a big Jake snake
- 44:01Speaker 1: as a kid. He too, bow he's what Jake's what
- 44:04Speaker 1: made me. I was flicking. Here's what happened when when
- 44:06Speaker 1: wrestling blew up in the eighties with Wrestlemania, I was
- 44:10Speaker 1: so mad at me, and I don't get mad at me.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I just fixed up, but this is something I created.
- 44:16Speaker 1: I walked away from it. It blew up. I knew
- 44:19Speaker 1: I was gonna I should have been a part of that.
- 44:21Speaker 1: So I stopped watching wrestling completely. If you don't watch
- 44:23Speaker 1: it doesn't hurt as bad. And then one day I'm
- 44:25Speaker 1: flicking the channels and I see Jesse Ventura with this
- 44:29Speaker 1: bow and crazy sunglasses and do rag and I thought
- 44:33Speaker 1: he was so cool. He's talking to gorilla. That's what
- 44:35Speaker 1: stopped me moving the channels, because remember, you moved them
- 44:38Speaker 1: like this back then. You became the channel Changer for
- 44:42Speaker 1: your GRANDPA, Your Dad, Um so uh, the first guy
- 44:46Speaker 1: to come through the curtain, got a bag over his shoulder,
- 44:50Speaker 1: got that food Manchow, that long black hair. I'm like,
- 44:52Speaker 1: who is this cat? And then I watched his work
- 44:55Speaker 1: in the ring. Now remember wrestling, and I want to
- 44:58Speaker 1: spoil this for anybody. It's pre deep terament, but back
- 45:03Speaker 1: then it wasn't like known by the masses. Vince McMahon
- 45:07Speaker 1: didn't come out about that yet. So I called up
- 45:10Speaker 1: my buddy Shipley, who had already done because he kept
- 45:12Speaker 1: wrestling after I took I took down and it was
- 45:15Speaker 1: he never got any fame, but he got the wrestle
- 45:17Speaker 1: quite a bit and I called him and I said, Bro,
- 45:20Speaker 1: I just saw this Guy Jake to stake Robertson. Did
- 45:23Speaker 1: I miss something? Is some of the part of this?
- 45:25Speaker 1: Is Some of this real? He goes, don't be a mark,
- 45:28Speaker 1: he goes. Of course not. I go, man, I can't
- 45:30Speaker 1: see through his stuff. And then I heard him pro
- 45:33Speaker 1: do a cut of Promo. I was like this guy
- 45:35Speaker 1: is amazing. So he and it's funny how life works.
- 45:38Speaker 1: And now you guys, but he's the one that kind
- 45:41Speaker 1: of reinspired you to get back into wrestling. Well, he
- 45:44Speaker 1: came in my club and that's a funny scene, you know.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I saw him on the Monitor and I wasn't sure
- 45:53Speaker 1: if it was him, but I thought it could be.
- 45:55Speaker 1: So I ran around the outside of the club, got
- 45:58Speaker 1: to the front door. Johnny, that the Guy Look in
- 46:00Speaker 1: here like Jake Snake Roberts. Yeah, everybody thinks it's him.
- 46:03Speaker 1: So I run in there like the biggest mark. Right,
- 46:05Speaker 1: I see him and I slow down, you know, gotta
- 46:09Speaker 1: can't be fanboy Jake Roberts, right. So I roll over
- 46:13Speaker 1: to I'm like, Hey, man, you jake to snake Roberts.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Who wants to know? I said the guy who runs
- 46:20Speaker 1: this place? He goes, yes, what could I do for you?
- 46:24Speaker 1: So what are we drinking? So we got pie that night,
- 46:28Speaker 1: you know, and he wanted to keep going and I
- 46:32Speaker 1: know where he wanted to go to Snowland, you know,
- 46:34Speaker 1: and I'd given all that stuff up by that time.
- 46:37Speaker 1: At the time I was thirty one years old and uh,
- 46:41Speaker 1: of course he didn't pay for a drink and he
- 46:43Speaker 1: would tell the other guys about it. If you worked
- 46:46Speaker 1: Miami one night in Tampa the next, that's three miles
- 46:49Speaker 1: Myers right in the middle. So it became like a
- 46:51Speaker 1: place and came in the Bush rackers, all these guys,
- 46:55Speaker 1: and so one night I'm looking at the at the UH,
- 47:00Speaker 1: the video wall. It club clubs close, and I see Um,
- 47:04Speaker 1: Captain Lou Albano, would cindy lauper and girls just want
- 47:07Speaker 1: to have fun. And that night I just looked at
- 47:10Speaker 1: that thing and I was like, man, rock and wrestling,
- 47:13Speaker 1: I should have been a part of that. Like I'm
- 47:15Speaker 1: talking to myself and my buddy smoky heard me say
- 47:19Speaker 1: it when we were coming in. We're counting the money
- 47:21Speaker 1: and it just that was a night like Diamond Dallas
- 47:24Speaker 1: page was born in my brain, never thinking would turn
- 47:28Speaker 1: into anything, but that was the beginning of it, the
- 47:31Speaker 1: diamond exchange. I'd have diamond dolls walked me to the
- 47:34Speaker 1: ring because I thought I was too old to be
- 47:36Speaker 1: a wrestler at thirty one, you know. So it was
- 47:39Speaker 1: just a fantasy, but it was the beginning. That's how
- 47:42Speaker 1: the ideas start, you know. So were you able to
- 47:44Speaker 1: talk with those guys who maybe had formed a relationship
- 47:46Speaker 1: with a couple of them to have knowledge on how
- 47:49Speaker 1: to meet the right people, train the right way to
- 47:52Speaker 1: get a look? You know, they're all going to tell
- 47:54Speaker 1: you the same thing that I would tell somebody. Unless
- 47:57Speaker 1: you can't breathe without it, forget it because it's the
- 48:02Speaker 1: hardest thing ever to get into, unless you look like Goldberg,
- 48:06Speaker 1: you know. Uh, if you're a regular dude, look at
- 48:10Speaker 1: a guy like Ray mystereo. Would you ever think? I
- 48:13Speaker 1: I just watched his biography on on w W. unbelievable.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Raise one of the coolest, greatest athletes, greatest human beings
- 48:21Speaker 1: I've ever met, but there was no way he ever
- 48:23Speaker 1: thought he would have a hall of fame career like
- 48:25Speaker 1: he has. Size, yeah, but athleticism. He changed the game,
- 48:31Speaker 1: you know. So for me I ended up making a
- 48:35Speaker 1: tape because of a series of events and I sent
- 48:39Speaker 1: the tape with me and I made three guys, wrestlers.
- 48:42Speaker 1: One guy called big bed John. They're all bouncers for me.
- 48:46Speaker 1: One guy called rock hard rick and the other guy
- 48:49Speaker 1: called he was he was a little person. I called
- 48:51Speaker 1: him teddy bear and he came out with the diamond dolls.
- 48:54Speaker 1: And I make this tape, bobby, and I said that
- 48:57Speaker 1: not to W W E or w CW. I said
- 49:00Speaker 1: it to a W A who was, you know, American
- 49:02Speaker 1: wrestling associating in the Midwest. They were losing all their talent,
- 49:05Speaker 1: the Vince and Ted. Two weeks later I get a
- 49:09Speaker 1: call and it's Diamond Dallas page there. I'm like, yeah,
- 49:15Speaker 1: this is Rob Russell from the A W A. Uh
- 49:19Speaker 1: we we like your stuff. Want to bring you and
- 49:21Speaker 1: your boys in free tryout. Uh Yeah, he goes. Well,
- 49:25Speaker 1: we got one question. Um, we've ever seen no one's
- 49:28Speaker 1: ever heard of you guys. Where you working at? Uh Well, Rob,
- 49:34Speaker 1: the truth is none of those guys can wrestle. What
- 49:37Speaker 1: why would you send us the tape? Well, it's like
- 49:39Speaker 1: a secret society. No one can figure out how to
- 49:41Speaker 1: get in. And don't call us, we'll call you. And
- 49:45Speaker 1: as this is to me, he's like God's plan, you know,
- 49:48Speaker 1: because I should have been there the first time, but
- 49:50Speaker 1: probably way better. I wasn't, Um, because I had so
- 49:54Speaker 1: many other lessons to learn. So, uh, Paul, he dangerously
- 49:59Speaker 1: back then, Dave Paul Hayman one of the biggest stars
- 50:02Speaker 1: in W W as a manager spot, he left the
- 50:05Speaker 1: a W A and went to Ted. Now get another
- 50:08Speaker 1: call from the A W A. W yes, Ted turners
- 50:12Speaker 1: world championship wrestling. So we left the huge void for
- 50:14Speaker 1: a young guy to get talked. Next thing you know,
- 50:17Speaker 1: we're gonna give you a tryout, bringing all those crazy clothes,
- 50:21Speaker 1: a couple of hot diamond dolls and we're gonna give
- 50:23Speaker 1: you a shot. Next thing you know I'm on the
- 50:26Speaker 1: ESPN man, you know, and making no money. You know,
- 50:30Speaker 1: my next big break came from Florida championship wrestling. They
- 50:34Speaker 1: made me a manager and a color commentator. Dusty Rhodes
- 50:38Speaker 1: is in charge of the time. Without Dusty Rhodes there
- 50:41Speaker 1: is no diamond Dallas page, because he taught me so
- 50:44Speaker 1: much and he brought me into production end of it's
- 50:47Speaker 1: why it would understand the interviewing and all the storytelling
- 50:50Speaker 1: that went behind it. And we weren't making any money.
- 50:53Speaker 1: I'm still running my nightclub, though, so I'm making good
- 50:56Speaker 1: money leaving my day job. Um, so he leaves and
- 51:01Speaker 1: I'm there for another two years. He went to W
- 51:04Speaker 1: WF and then they called him back to W C
- 51:07Speaker 1: W to run the whole show and because of that relationship,
- 51:11Speaker 1: because of that relationship, uh, next thing you know him
- 51:16Speaker 1: on w C W. I tell people all the time,
- 51:19Speaker 1: and you know this because this is a business, of
- 51:22Speaker 1: who you know and who you know who knows you.
- 51:24Speaker 1: But but it really comes down to and you understand this.
- 51:27Speaker 1: It comes down to the real relationships. It's not about
- 51:30Speaker 1: who knows you, it's about who's willing to say they
- 51:32Speaker 1: know you, who's willing to pick up the phone and
- 51:34Speaker 1: make a call for you, who's willing to put their
- 51:37Speaker 1: name on the line for you? That's a dusty different
- 51:39Speaker 1: me at the show Ted Turner's world championship wrestling. And
- 51:43Speaker 1: the crazy part how I become a wrestler is it
- 51:47Speaker 1: took me four months to get a contract and I
- 51:49Speaker 1: finally got a contract and going into my fifth month
- 51:52Speaker 1: I've got the Fabulous Free Bird's future hall of famers
- 51:55Speaker 1: Scott Hall, who is the Diamond Stud back. Then he's
- 51:58Speaker 1: a two time hall of fame. I'm I'm living I'm
- 52:02Speaker 1: living a dream. And then Magnum t a pulls me
- 52:06Speaker 1: into his office. He says, listen, dusty asked me to
- 52:09Speaker 1: do this because he can't do it. He said he
- 52:12Speaker 1: loves what you're doing with the you know are of
- 52:14Speaker 1: the color commentating, but we can't let you manage anymore.
- 52:19Speaker 1: I go why? What did I do wrong? He goes, well,
- 52:22Speaker 1: you really didn't. It's it's not your fault. I go, well,
- 52:25Speaker 1: it's not my fault we can fix it. He goes.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Not Really, I go, why not? He goes because it's you.
- 52:31Speaker 1: It's the hair, the clothes, the bling, the wrap, the dolls.
- 52:39Speaker 1: No one's paying attention to the boys out there. When
- 52:41Speaker 1: you're out there, you're taking it's not your fault. We
- 52:44Speaker 1: should have done put you in a pair of tights
- 52:45Speaker 1: and boots and see if you could do this. And
- 52:48Speaker 1: I was crushed. You know, and again what looks like
- 52:51Speaker 1: the worst thing can happen to you. You can be
- 52:54Speaker 1: the best now the free birds. Those guys were Michael
- 52:57Speaker 1: P s as a Jimmy Jam Garvin. They were big
- 53:00Speaker 1: brothers to me, even though they were younger. Well, Michael
- 53:02Speaker 1: is younger than me, but they've been in a business
- 53:05Speaker 1: for fifteen years, since they were kids, and they would
- 53:09Speaker 1: rib me, Oh my God, they would play joke, practical
- 53:13Speaker 1: joke up the practical joke on the rookie right who
- 53:15Speaker 1: finally made it there. That day, though, they were super empathetic.
- 53:20Speaker 1: They were like man, sorry, Bro, because I gotta walk
- 53:23Speaker 1: them to the ring for the last time. And I'm like,
- 53:26Speaker 1: by this time I've flipped, like you said, adapt with dyslexia.
- 53:30Speaker 1: I said, you know what I'm not worried about it. Like,
- 53:33Speaker 1: what do you mean? I go, I got seven months
- 53:35Speaker 1: left in my contract, I'M gonna learn how to be
- 53:37Speaker 1: a professional wrestler. And they looked at each other and
- 53:42Speaker 1: burst it out laughing so hard the Michael Literally, but
- 53:46Speaker 1: couldn't feel like, falls to the ground holding on the
- 53:49Speaker 1: Jimmy Lapping. I gave him both the year and the
- 53:52Speaker 1: number one sign and I'll see you in the ring.
- 53:54Speaker 1: And the greatest, one of the greatest moments of my life.
- 53:57Speaker 1: That was in X. I'm you know, I have this vision.
- 54:02Speaker 1: You know, you know it's inside out. You have to
- 54:06Speaker 1: see it, you know, before you believe it. A lot
- 54:09Speaker 1: of people say, I'll believe it when I see it. No,
- 54:11Speaker 1: you gotta see it then you'll believe it and you
- 54:15Speaker 1: gotta put the work in. It's not just gonna happen.
- 54:17Speaker 1: So I'm at that spot where I'm in a mid
- 54:21Speaker 1: card guy and yeah, I've worked my way up from
- 54:23Speaker 1: the bottom of the bottom of the bottom and I'm
- 54:26Speaker 1: just like, I just think that one break and one
- 54:30Speaker 1: night they booked me with sting on a nitro favorite.
- 54:40Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, sting loved me, he loved my work,
- 54:44Speaker 1: ethic he says, what do you want to do tonight?
- 54:48Speaker 1: Like this guy's a franchise. He's asking me and I
- 54:53Speaker 1: laid some stuff back. He goes, I like it. We
- 54:55Speaker 1: went out there, tore it down, I come through the curtain.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I got a standing ovation from the boys like that.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Never really amazing part was the next day when I
- 55:11Speaker 1: go home. I called it Humpty Dumpty Day. I get
- 55:14Speaker 1: all the king's horses and all the kings being to
- 55:16Speaker 1: try to put d DP back together again, because I'm
- 55:18Speaker 1: about to turn forty at this point and my run
- 55:21Speaker 1: hasn't started yet. And Uh so I'M gonna go see
- 55:25Speaker 1: my chiropractor, black piece chalders, musty muscle relaxed your therapy,
- 55:29Speaker 1: deep muscle tissue therapy. I gotta go home. I forgot
- 55:33Speaker 1: something and I'm so glad I go home. I grabbed
- 55:36Speaker 1: my stuff and walking out the door, answer machine picks
- 55:39Speaker 1: up page PS. It's Michael P S Hey's now he's
- 55:44Speaker 1: the writer at W W F at the time, now
- 55:46Speaker 1: w w eight, and his page PS. My K bro Man,
- 55:51Speaker 1: I've been talked to you and do all, man, how
- 55:53Speaker 1: you doing? Damn sound but mother, Mike, Mike, what's the matter?
- 55:57Speaker 1: What's the matter page? You know, sometimes you're calling the
- 56:01Speaker 1: middle of afternoon because you don't want to hear the
- 56:03Speaker 1: person's boards. You want to leave him a message. I said, yeah,
- 56:07Speaker 1: you want me to hang up so you can call
- 56:09Speaker 1: back and leave a message? No, no, hege. I gotta
- 56:14Speaker 1: be honest. I saw your match last night. We all did.
- 56:19Speaker 1: I gotta be honest. I have never been so happy
- 56:23Speaker 1: to eat crow in all my life. Great job, kid,
- 56:26Speaker 1: and he hung up at me. So that that was
- 56:29Speaker 1: your first, big, big break and that was my first moment.
- 56:33Speaker 1: That said, baby, this guy can really do this. This
- 56:35Speaker 1: is January. By the time end of six happens, I
- 56:41Speaker 1: beat Eddie Guerrero, because he I'm not supposed to beat him,
- 56:44Speaker 1: and all we have. We have an unbelievable match. He
- 56:47Speaker 1: tears something in his rib, in his and he kept
- 56:49Speaker 1: going during the match, during that communicated to you, not
- 56:53Speaker 1: till the end when I'm waiting for him. So I'm
- 56:55Speaker 1: going to pick him up. He goes diamond cutter. I
- 56:58Speaker 1: go know, a diamond cutter like. I could argue it,
- 57:01Speaker 1: you know, but you're supposed to win in this match.
- 57:03Speaker 1: It was a really big win for me and I'm
- 57:06Speaker 1: still a bad guy and that, but I'm still not
- 57:09Speaker 1: getting the break and I'm ready to ask for my release.
- 57:13Speaker 1: And that's when I come up with the N W
- 57:14Speaker 1: O me and the N W because I had real
- 57:18Speaker 1: relationships Scott. All talk about helping people. He was in Germany.
- 57:25Speaker 1: He came back. He's just big Scott Hall back. Then
- 57:27Speaker 1: he sees me managing the free birds. He calls me up.
- 57:30Speaker 1: He said, date, I would love to be that idea
- 57:34Speaker 1: you had called the diamond stud so I said, okay,
- 57:38Speaker 1: so let me see if I can get them to
- 57:39Speaker 1: go for it. So I call up Bagdham T A
- 57:41Speaker 1: and I asked him. You know what you know about Scott.
- 57:45Speaker 1: I always like Scott. Let me ask dusty gets back
- 57:48Speaker 1: on the phone. He goes. Dusty said he's gonna Pass.
- 57:50Speaker 1: He really loves Scott but he's had two tries and
- 57:53Speaker 1: didn't get over. I said, what if I could change
- 57:56Speaker 1: what he looks like, because what do you mean? I go,
- 57:58Speaker 1: what if you don't recognize him? He said, well, let
- 58:03Speaker 1: me think about that. So I called Scott Up. I
- 58:05Speaker 1: go you gotta, we gotta Change Your Look. You gotta
- 58:07Speaker 1: Dye your hair, Dye your hair jet black. You know
- 58:10Speaker 1: Um much, not much, but hockey talk shown one got
- 58:14Speaker 1: really like that blue black hair back then. Right, everybody's
- 58:17Speaker 1: got blonde hair or brown hair. And I said we
- 58:20Speaker 1: change your black hair like that. Okay, okay. I'm watching
- 58:25Speaker 1: MTV later that night. I see George Michael and he's
- 58:28Speaker 1: got the the five o'clock shadow and uh, I'm Michael,
- 58:33Speaker 1: my God, that's Scott. So I called him up at
- 58:36Speaker 1: two o'clock at the boarding dally, what do you do
- 58:39Speaker 1: when my wife's pregnant? I go, Dude, you gotta get
- 58:42Speaker 1: rid of that mustache. What that is? Since I was fifteen.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I go another reason why you gotta here rid of that,
- 58:48Speaker 1: a buzz dache. Well, he showed up at my place
- 58:52Speaker 1: where I was staying because I had just moved up
- 58:53Speaker 1: there eight months nine months ago, and uh, he looked
- 58:58Speaker 1: like a movie star man but didn't do the jet
- 59:00Speaker 1: black hair. So I took him got that done by
- 59:03Speaker 1: a girl do his hair. I brought him a TV.
- 59:05Speaker 1: No one record. We're gonna pause this interview for a second.

- 1:00:14Speaker 1: six nine. All Right, back to the interview with Dommye
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Dallas page. What do you consider your your one match,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: that your biggest match? Doesn't have to be your your
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: third championship. It don't have to be a championship match
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: at all. What's your one match that you would like
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: someone to see? If they're like, Hey, show me what
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: DDPS all about? Either the Goldberg match where I lost
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: the world title, or, when I was the world champion,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the nitro match where I wrestled sting and lost the
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: title to him. So both losses, yes, but they were
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: great matches. Well, that microphone up a little bit. They were.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: They were great matches, especially, Um, especially the sting matches. Special.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Sting matches special because you know you have seventeen, fifteen,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: seventeen minutes. You know your time and I knew how
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: to do that and I would get cussed from the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: rep so when we're going home, that means we're finishing
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: up the match, right, so we're going home. I figured
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: about a minute left and the REP buzzes me and
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he goes d five more minutes, five more minutes. So
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: stinks walking at me. I just grab him. I go
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: go outside. He's like what now he's thinking him at
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: the time. He knows me, but he's thinking, is he
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: trying to take advantage of me? So to move him
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: now is in a dance. It's like he's a brick.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: So you'll see me choke him there and I go
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: we got five more minutes and I chopped throw him
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: in and it was everybody who was close to me
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: would be they would compare everything to that match. Was
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Goldberg stiff to work. That's what I've heard, that he
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: was so stiff that I'll he's a great athlete, phenomenal
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: in Georgia. Yeah, I mean I I met billy years
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: before and said you need to come and be with us,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and took him four years, but he wanted to play
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: on his football treat you know, and uh, but he
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: was so strong and so snug. You know, you had
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: to give it back to him as hard as you could,
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: like wrestling matches or worse than any fight I have
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: ever been in, even though we're trying not to hurt
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: each other. You know, we go out there and especially
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: with your buddy, you can really lay it in, you know,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: because don't make it look weak. You know, you go
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: harder on your friends than you do. Yeah, sometimes, you know, sometimes,
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: because because there's a trust. Yeah, they know I'm not
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: gonna hurt him, you know. And Billy, you know, he
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: never wanted to hurt anybody. But to him, the bill,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: it had to be real and that's what got him. So,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I mean, there was a picture one time. I saw
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: USA Today. I used to do together the cartooning and
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: it was a picture of Michael Jordan's that they had
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: taken off the wall and sitting in the garbage and
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: Bill Goldberg's picture was going up there. I was like,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Oh my God, but that's like wrestling is. So it changes,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you know, the way people the way people do things.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Look at the NFL. It was there ever? was there
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: ever any fireworks ever in the NFL before nitro and
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Ross started kicking their ass on the ratings they made.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: They changed. They see you nowhere here and to all
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: these storylines about these players. You got to care about
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the characters and for people to care about sports entertainment,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: because you know it's still sports, it's athletics, but you know,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: it's it's predetermined. It's a story. I was being interviewed
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: for ready to rumble and everybody's being so cool. In
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: New York City, the big premier is coming out and
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: there's this one guy I could just tell you know,
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: he don't respect what we do. So I asked him.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I said, I ask you a question. He said sure.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I said you don't respect what we do, do you
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: said honestly? I said honestly. He said not really. I said, well,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. I said, uh, do
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: you like Broadway? Of course I go. What's your favorite?
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: What's your favorite play? These standing of the opera? I said,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I don't want to spoil this for you, but the
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: guy doesn't really get burnt with the oil. You know,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: and I mean the crew, burst out laughing and that's
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: not near as athletic understanding the sport. We're running out
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: of time. I got a few questions. I want to
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: talk about your yoga and your podcast, but just quick
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: answers because I know I would be here for three
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: hours with you otherwise. Do you get to keep the
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: belts once you win them? Yes, so do you have
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: do you have three world championship, you get to keep
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the first one, okay, and then they just make another one. Well,
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: they they're always constantly making the only way you'll know
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: the real big gold w big old the top is
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: bent and I don't know how that thing ever got
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: bent because it's bronze and gold plated. It's like, I
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: don't know how it got bent, but that's how you
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: know what the real one is. Do you ever? Did
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: you ever run into fans and they were so over
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: the top and so just out of their minds enthusiastic
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: that you're like, Bro Chill out, like we're like, we're
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: we're kind, we're at we're actors and athletes, but I'm
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: not actually going to kill this person. Today people look
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: at me like their uncle that they loved, that that
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: that they grew up with, that was there for them.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: That's how people treat me, and I do get people
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: that are over zealous. I can still twenty five years later.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: You know, you know you're like children. We're just normal
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: people here. Yeah, the documentary. I want to talk about
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: that for a second because again I watched it, the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: resurrection of the Resurrection of Jack The snake, and just
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: from the human element, aside from the wrestling like, I
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: was so moved by it. So what in what inspired
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: you to take this and actually I want to take
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: that message and take a public without Jake's guidance. Dusty
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: was my business sense and my brother, uh Jake was
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: he's the first guy to ever believe in me. You,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I always tell people, never underestimate the power someone gives
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: you by believing in you. And he believed in me
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: and that is one of the greatest ever, the greatest
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: psychologists ever, that he believes me. He thinks I can
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: be a top guy and I don't see it yet,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: but eventually, like I said, you gotta come from the
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: inside out. Eventually I did see it and then I
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: knew I was going to achieve it and get that spot.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: But without Jake I couldn't have been there and I
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: tried to help him so many times but he just
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: wouldn't listen. But that day that I called him and
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: I sent him the disabled veteran. You've seen that big
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: note of Arthur Barman, that video. It's probably got a
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: billion views on it between my stuff and everything. Um,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I changed one guy's life. I inspired one guy. He's
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: inspired millions and millions of people. So I sent that
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: to Jake. That was like my proving ground and Jake
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: agreed and I said, listen, you're over three hundred pounds now.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: If you can lose twenty pounds, I will take care
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: of everything. I will move you to Atlanta, I will
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: take care of all your bills, I'll take care of
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: everything and we're gonna rebrand you. Back then, Jake is
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: making like five hundred bucks at night. Now he makes
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: five thousand. You know, he's living his best like at
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: sixty seven, now that we have a lot of hurdles
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: along the way. Oh yeah, but when we finally got
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: to it, like the day we left, that the first
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: day of filming, me and Steve. You. He said, so
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: what do you think? I said, I don't think I'm
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: ever gonna be able to have a real conversation with
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: my buddy again. The fog, when you're booze, pills, coke
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: and crack, the fog on your brain it takes years
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: to lift. Today, me and do a DVP snake pit,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: a podcast, and I love being there with it. We
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: just went and saw Arrowsmith. We flew with the Boston
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: just for the night or what. He's back with his
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: wife Cheryl from back in the Rick Rude days. You know,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: I mean that to me is that's God's work too,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: and I was gonna mention that. And just the DDP
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: snake pit podcast is you and jake. I mean it's
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: all comes back. It's like circled twice. It's not even
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: full circle. That's like circled twice. At this point I
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: do want to mention relentless, because all that you're talking
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: about is in relentless. I mean it's you going hey,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I've had people that have helped me. Let me see
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: how many people I can help now. And I think
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: people should should check out relentless. If they want to
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: watch relentless, where do they go? Amazon prime. They're they're
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: both Amazon resurrector, Jake snake and Amazon Prom I'll tell
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you one thing, bobby. I'd love to come back and
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: talk to you when it's ready to come out, but
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I've been filming and when my business partner, Steve, you
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: you who is the greatest storyteller ever. He's the director
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: of both of those, uh, relentless, Sam Resurrection, Jake Snake,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: UH and the Arthur video, among others. But we started.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: We finished filming a month ago. Change or die. It's
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: a documseries, right, docusees. It's gon be powerful. Is Buff
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Bagwell involved in that? Yeah, I've seen some stuff about that.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: I'm a big Fan, like when I sayd a big Fan,
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I'm not lying. I could tell like I don't tell
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: your knowledgeable and I've seen and we can end on this.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: I've seen you doing interviews about how yoga has changed
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: your life and and was it Atlanta or Floria? What
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: do you where are you doing yoga for the where
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: did it starts? What? That says y right. And then
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: why am I branding it deep diamond doald pages yoga, DDP.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Yoga branding a DDP? Why? Now? Because I want people
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: understand it's not just yoga, like maybe yoga, but it
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: was a hook in the beginning to get people to go,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: wait a minute, he's doing yoga. Just says, like what's
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: the antithesis of a Yogi? I don't know. A wrestler
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: you know, but the bottom line is is that this
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: is a fusion, that is the Fountain of Youth. Like
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: you see, I've been sitting here for thirty minutes with you.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: At any point in time. My flexibility back out. Yeah, well,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: you can. He's putting his head under his I can't
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: touch my feet, my ankles now and wow, yeah, it's trybly,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: so big. Take it out. Okay, now he's doing he's
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: lifting his foot up to his hip and now he's
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: doing a thing I've only seen girls doing yoga. Wow,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: that's I mean that's flexible women. I can't do that.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: That's called I can never do that and I'm always
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: jealous the girls who can in yoga when I got
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: so if anything, this is yoga for people who wouldn't
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: be caught dead doing you. And I used to feel
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: like that because I was like Yoga, who goes to yoga?
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: But then I would do some of these classes and
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and how do people? Because you can do your you have,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: like read, like seventy thousand subscribers. How would someone and
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: subscribe if they don't live anywhere, anywhere in the world?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: We have people all over the world and you can
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: get it for free for seven days to try it.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: And the biggest thing I have on there, and it's
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the yellow brick road. It's called the list. If you
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: pull up the APP, the first thing's gonna come up
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: is the list and what's the APP list? It as though,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: because I'm seeing Diamond Alla pitch fitness, I'm seeing Diamond
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Dallas page yoga. Um, if you put if you just
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: pull up on your on your APP, I would tell
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: go to DDP YOGA DOT COM. Got It, or DDP
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: Y DOT COM, because that's where the best prices are.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: We have to raise the prices on itunes because they
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: gouge everybody. You know, I was on in Uh and
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: UH and itunes. They gouge the people for what their prices.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: So we have to raise it. If you go to
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: DDP Y DOT COM, it's seven days free and you
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: can get it for like thirty percent off of what
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: the regular prices. I can't believe how flexible you are right.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I mean that's strong. That's unbelievable. How old are you now?
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: I'll be sixty seven. That is crazy. That is crazy
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: in the air, not even just at your like your
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: present tate. How you have now. You look you're fit
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: as anybody that comes in here. I can't believe you're
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: sixty seven. I could smoke anybody, and I mean anybody
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: who's with the titans, if they do my work out
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: with me they can't keep up with a close to
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: sixty seven year old cat. And if I was a player,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: played for any of the NFL, NBA, I don't care
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: what I got so many guys who do it in
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: W W and a w like so so many independent
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: guys good. The greatest example would be UH UM AJ styles.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: He's forty five right now and if anybody's ever seen
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: that cat work, he springs off the rope, flights in
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: the air, comes crashing down on cats. He is probably
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: one of the toughest cats, pound for powder, on the planet.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: But he does my stuff five days a week so
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: he can still live the dream. If I, if I
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: was gonna be in the NFL, knowing your one injury
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: away from your career's over. You know, unless you got
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: the monster money, like doc or any of those guys
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: who had the big money. They get hurt, they get
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: to come back. The other guys they get let go.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: And there on't e Gona let you get hurt so
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: many times. I look at Jericho. When Jericho Blues back
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: out it at forty one, they said his career was over.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Three months with my program he's back in the ringing headline.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Wrestlemania with punk and today he's fifty one. He just
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: signed another three year, multi multimillion dollar deal. So if
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I do it, I can be a W W champion.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: That's what I do. This is it. I just heard it,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: I'm thinking it, I'm dreaming and I'm seeing it. Listen,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: diamond or paged, I don't know to call you. Call
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Me Dallas, Dallas, big we we've spent forty five minutes here.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I can again. I can do I could do two
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: hours easily just talking, just just chopping it up. Come back.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I would love to come back. A massive fan. You
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: are extremely inspiring in your story and the way that
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: you give back because of your story and the way
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: that you move forward. So in all three all three ways,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: from what you've done, what you're doing and and the
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: way you're moving forward and helping others. So I'm very
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: inspired by you. It's been an honor for me. You
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: guys can follow on instagram. Is Diamond Dallas page. You
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: want one of the greats. There's a reason you're in
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: the hall of fame and not w beat my heart.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: Hall of FAM my heart too. You're in. One last thing.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Don't listen to a word I said about any of
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: my program what Bobby said. Just go on facebook. Everybody's
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: got facebook, D D P, Yoga, one word. It's not Mike.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: It's a member's site. There's over seventy four thousand people
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: there and you just won't believe the stories in the
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: way that everybody helps everybody. That's that's the strongest thing.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: It's a zigzigular thing. You can get whatever you want
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: as long as you help. I know people get what
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: they want. There is my hero and yours, Diamond Dallas Pace.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Thank you, brother. That's awesome, man, awesome. Alright, hope you
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: love the interview I did. You can watch the video
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: up on the Youtube Channel. You have to watch it
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: because you can see him put his foot up over
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: his head. He's so flexible. Next, he really is. He
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Does Yoga. It's amazing. He's like checking in jeans in Jeez.
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: It's crazy. So on Friday's show rich Eisen will be
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: on with US sports and R Anchor Rich Eisen show
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: NFL network. So pretty pump that rich Eisen is gonna
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: be on on Friday's show. Other than that, Mike. Yeah,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: I think that's it. That is it. I think that's it.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: So let's go around the room here. Final thought as
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: we play our song. That sounds almost like Leonard skinners,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: but it isn't. But isn't complicated, man, complicated, man? Yes, Eddie,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: final thought, and you know my final thought. It's a
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: great day to day and the rest of the weeks
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: great because the cowboys finally got to win and I'm
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: so happy, man. And I got to watch with my
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: father in law who's in town, and when I got home,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: I got home right on time to watch the game.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: He says we're really gonna watch this crap, and he's
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: a cowboys fan. I said yes, let's just see, let's
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: just see what happens, and after the first quarter he's like, Hey,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: we got a game. I'm so glad he turned this
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: on and sure enough, we got the win. So happy,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: but thanks for bringing that up. That's cool, buddy. Yeah,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I told Eddie too, we're getting the early flight and
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: we're just gonna act to get home that our watch.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Don't listen to this. They might, they won't. Okay, I
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: said we're getting the early flight and so we can
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: go home for three thirty games. We're never going to
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: address that publicly. We're gonna have the only flight there is,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: and so we got home, worked and it worked out
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: just finally we got to watch the full game right.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: We got home right in time. Final thought. Kick off, Kevin.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: My final thought is I'm going to change my team. Oh,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: he's changing his team. Have you have you, how much
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: money are you in force? Okay, collegiate team. Okay. Who
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: are you going? I'm going with Georgia. I'm switching from
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Bama and nobody has Georgia. No, you can't change. Dude,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: want to change. I do not. I wouldn't you ever
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: gonna Change? Huh? Yeah, man, yeah, because George's they're awesome, awesome,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: and number one is a stud brock bawer. They're rolling
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: right now. Well, I'm sorry, sorry, you couldn't change. That
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: was fun. Well, last night was my NFL team. Now
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: can't city? You have? Yep, Kent City. Am I the
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: only one? Nice? I love it. And then my college
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: team Still Arkansas Right. Yeah, yeah, you like that. You
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: want to change it. I do not. Anybody else want
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: to change their teams? I'm sitting good right now. Speaking
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: of Kansas City, my final thought is a lot of
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: people make it fun of this Guy Kurt, but not me.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I think it's a pretty cool. Dude. Kurt's got the
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: world record for chief's memorabilia. His collection of chief's memorabilia
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: consists of one thousand one different pieces. Enough to get
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: him certified. He had to individually count each item with
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: three people's witnesses, and elected official, a police officer and
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: a chief's subject matter expert, and he has the most
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: memorability chief. Good for him. I got a lot of
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Arkansas stuff close to that. You know, the cops come
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: over and counter. Hey, I wonder if he has the
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: chiefs Barbie. Well, I don't know, but I got to
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Arkansas Barbie right shoulder. That's from Fox for Kansas City.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: So as far as the chiefs go, WOU chief or
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: whatever they say. What are they saying, chiefs? Is it
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: help now? That the hell to the Chiefest with the President?
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: It's not what the chiefs say. They just do the chop.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I don't know did they do? They do Tomak chopped though, chiefs. Yeah,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I'm the biggest fan. I'm the biggest cowboys fan too.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: They didn't cost me any money this last week. Thank
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: you guys again. Rich Eyes. And on Friday and we're
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: gonna say. We're gonna do little things too. That will
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: not be on the bobby bones show feed. So if
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: you're not subscribe to the whistles feed, you may miss
