- 0:00Welcome to Raising the Curth, a podcast designed to teach you everything you need to know
- 0:05to be better with your money.
- 0:07And the wise words of Amy Schumer were slipping carrots into the brownie recipe.
- 0:11I don't really get the saying.
- 0:14It's kind of like eating vegetables that actually taste good, you know, it's still not
- 0:18waiting.
- 0:19Are you on the script?
- 0:20It's basically like saying, investing in finance can be boring, but it totally doesn't
- 0:26need to be.
- 0:27OK, OK, so we're making it fun by putting the carrot, the vegetables are good for you.
- 0:34It's the brownie recipe.
- 0:35OK, we got there, we got there.
- 0:36OK, OK.
- 0:37Well, you've really got a finance mate.
- 0:39Yeah, one of us has to.
- 0:41This is a joke.
- 0:42OK, come and learn alongside me from Vickaris, ex-fun manager.
- 0:45Well, I'm going to ask all the questions that you wish you could.
- 0:49And I'm going to be eating all the brownie you wish you could.
- 0:51It's so not the joke, Vick.
- 0:54OK, just come and talk and learn and laugh with us.
- 0:56Because together, we really can raise the curve.
- 1:01So we've got Sharon Casey in studio.
- 1:02Hello.
- 1:03As an old friend, we used to work together at MediaWorks, which is so nice to see you,
- 1:08you know, and you're like, God, we need to catch up more.
- 1:10But then it's like seven years.
- 1:12Yeah.
- 1:13It's been so long.
- 1:14We've had two babies.
- 1:15Whoa.
- 1:16I know.
- 1:17But when my first proper producing job, Shares was the news girl on breakfast for J.J.
- 1:23and Mark and Don.
- 1:24So we were all up in our trackies looking like absolute asshole, trying to make her way
- 1:28through the morning.
- 1:29Living the best life.
- 1:30I was at that point, also, the music director and the day's host and also kind of did stuff
- 1:34for their breakfast show.
- 1:35They really got your...
- 1:36They really got their money's worth the nice days.
- 1:38You can do this.
- 1:39And this?
- 1:40Yeah.
- 1:41Totally.
- 1:42Oh my god, that's so funny.
- 1:43But she got here.
- 1:44And I don't know how we start talking about 818 to Kayla.
- 1:46Because you had it on the bed.
- 1:47That's right.
- 1:48Yeah.
- 1:49So really I put it in my morning coffee.
- 1:51And I actually said...
- 1:52This morning, I woke up thinking, I probably sat two hours last night.
- 1:56I don't know why I've just been having issues sleeping and I thought, maybe I needed
- 1:58to Kayla.
- 1:59And then as a joke, I said, she went to a show and Shares was like, I'm keen.
- 2:04Yeah.
- 2:05I mean, it is.
- 2:06It's 10.30.
- 2:07Here we go.
- 2:08Cheers everyone.
- 2:09Cheers, cheers, cheers.
- 2:10Oh my god.
- 2:11Oh my god.
- 2:12Actually, not that bad.
- 2:16Not that bad.
- 2:17It's not that bad.
- 2:19It's burning by Mark.
- 2:20That I was a bit.
- 2:21818, if you want to sponsor us, I would be very, very strong.
- 2:25That would be good.
- 2:26Then you could get Kendall Jenner on the podcast.
- 2:28Oh.
- 2:29But we've got Sharon Casey.
- 2:30Well.
- 2:31Same thing some would say.
- 2:32Yeah.
- 2:33Exactly.
- 2:34You guys actually look very similar.
- 2:35Yeah.
- 2:36Just realising, very similar.
- 2:37It's just because I've got my slots to rent.
- 2:39Do you know what happened yesterday?
- 2:41I was on my way to dinner.
- 2:42And this girl, who was probably 24, was like, Sophie.
- 2:46And I was like, oh my gosh, who's that?
- 2:47She's like, I love the podcast.
- 2:48I listened to the podcast.
- 2:49And she was there with her friend.
- 2:50She's like, I send it to all my friends.
- 2:52I honestly, I'd had such a weird all over the show day.
- 2:55And I was like, I cannot believe that is so cool.
- 2:58That's awesome.
- 2:59I mean, you must have that happen all the time.
- 3:01But I was just like, I don't know.
- 3:02I had this moment of, wow, that there's people who listen
- 3:04to this podcast and love it.
- 3:05Yeah.
- 3:06And how cool was that?
- 3:07They're like, hey.
- 3:08I think that's always like a cool thing.
- 3:10It's like when you work really hard, it's something
- 3:12and you're really passionate about it.
- 3:13And that it's connected with somebody.
- 3:14It's like really cool.
- 3:15But the fact I love when people are like, oh, I shared that
- 3:18with my friend or blah, blah, blah.
- 3:20Yeah.
- 3:21And that's kind of, yeah, I reckon that's like the coolest feeling.
- 3:23Especially when they're young and young.
- 3:25Well, she was 24.
- 3:26She's like, I've just finished uni and I've started investing
- 3:28in index funds because I don't have heaps of money.
- 3:30But I've just started investing.
- 3:31Thanks you guys.
- 3:32And I was just like, this will change your life.
- 3:34Yeah.
- 3:35Not in a dramatic way.
- 3:36But if I'd known that at 24, how much more money I would have now
- 3:39is crazy.
- 3:40This will change your life.
- 3:42Change really.
- 3:43Change your life.
- 3:44Change your life.
- 3:45And if you've seen it, you have a free car.
- 3:47Yes.
- 3:48It's true.
- 3:49She's always been a hustler.
- 3:50Even yes.
- 3:51Who do you own, her name?
- 3:53I can't remember.
- 3:54Honestly, I was in such a fluster.
- 3:55I wish I could.
- 3:56I always get those kind of people when I'm wasted.
- 3:59Oh, yeah.
- 4:00And I'm like, oh, cool.
- 4:02You're super open about it.
- 4:04I'm just so good.
- 4:05I just really need to practice.
- 4:06Amazing.
- 4:07Thank you.
- 4:08Really flooded.
- 4:09I think their name.
- 4:10Yeah.
- 4:11But then someone's like, oh, it's probably because they're
- 4:13but drunk as well.
- 4:14And they feel confident to come up to you.
- 4:15And I said, true, okay.
- 4:16Also, I think people just like connect with you.
- 4:19And that's what I've always loved about, you know,
- 4:21radio and podcast and stuff is people connect with you
- 4:24as like a mate.
- 4:25So when they see you,
- 4:27they've made this connection with you where they feel like they know you.
- 4:30And so they're like, hey, how's it going?
- 4:32Like they, you know, and it's because it's quite an intimate experience
- 4:34to a podcast or radio.
- 4:36And so when they see you, it's not as weird for them
- 4:39because you're their friend.
- 4:40I used to do that with people.
- 4:41But that makes sense.
- 4:42Like when I'd say like, short and straight stars,
- 4:43I'd be like, oh, my God.
- 4:44Oh, no, they don't.
- 4:45Yeah.
- 4:46No, mate.
- 4:47Yeah.
- 4:48It's cool though.
- 4:49Hey, Chris, what?
- 4:50No, you don't know me.
- 4:51If I click, sorry.
- 4:52That used to it though.
- 4:53Or someone you've been creeping on Instagram and you're like,
- 4:55oh, no.
- 4:56She's the worst.
- 4:58I mean, I love you.
- 4:59But like, thinking before you speak in those situations,
- 5:01it's not like,
- 5:03like, bounding up someone,
- 5:04being like, how was your aunties birthday from two weeks ago?
- 5:06And then I'm like, oh, you don't know me.
- 5:07But she does shit like, I would tell her,
- 5:09I'm like, I'm going for dinner with somebody
- 5:11who I've not even really like floated with yet.
- 5:13And I'm like, oh, do you know this person?
- 5:14And she's like, oh, yeah.
- 5:15And then she'll see them out before the date
- 5:17and be like, oh, are you dating Sophie?
- 5:19Oh, no.
- 5:20And they'll be like, oh, my God.
- 5:21I then cancel the date.
- 5:22And I'm like, Vic.
- 5:23I had to sit down and be, I'm sorry,
- 5:24that this is not all good.
- 5:26Oh, God.
- 5:27I'm just trying to make conversation, you know?
- 5:28And then as soon as the words come out, I'm like,
- 5:30oh, gosh.
- 5:31You can't take them back.
- 5:32Yeah, mate.
- 5:33They're actually having to be once with,
- 5:34um, I followed,
- 5:37she was on crowd goes wild at the time.
- 5:39And, uh, we ended up having like quite a few
- 5:41mutual friends.
- 5:42And I'd follow it for ages.
- 5:43I think I just thought she was such a great presenter
- 5:45and she'd great human.
- 5:46And then, um, I was at Odets one morning.
- 5:48We had never met in real life but followed each other
- 5:51on Instagram.
- 5:52And we were like, hey, how's it going?
- 5:53We like hugged each other.
- 5:54And then we're like, hmm, and then Arch,
- 5:56I could tell that both of us were like,
- 5:58we've never met in real life before.
- 5:59And we just hugged because we've walked on Instagram.
- 6:02It was really weird.
- 6:03Instagram. It was really weird. But now I feel like I can hug her if I see her.
- 6:07But that's probably how people fell in terms of listening to you on radio too.
- 6:10Because how have you been on, on, on the age four? Is it like 12 years?
- 6:1517. Oh yeah. So I'll be 17 years at the edge in a couple of months and 18 years in radio.
- 6:21I'm not sure. Yeah. Congratulations. That is incredible.
- 6:25Yeah. It's really cool. It's awesome to think that like you've grown up there.
- 6:29Yes. I have. I've definitely grown up there. I've been through a lot there and
- 6:33like I remember being 13 sitting outside the palms in Christchurch and
- 6:36my mum's in the bank and I was like going through and I discovered the edge
- 6:40and I was like oh my god this station it's amazing and I like I will work there.
- 6:44Even since then like I remember it so vividly and was like wow.
- 6:48And now amazing. We just got the internet so I went home and I was like googling it and stuff
- 6:52was quite exciting. I kind of feel like I'm on the edge right now.
- 6:55Just like hearing, hearing your voice.
- 6:57Oh my god she's going to fangirl out.
- 6:59Just get very cool.
- 7:00Be cool.
- 7:00You are.
- 7:03So Shaz you've worked there for 17 years in terms of
- 7:06salaries and pay rises and that kind of thing because a lot of people would never
- 7:09have been in their job for that long.
- 7:11You know it's quite rare I think for people often in jobs you
- 7:15the reason you get pay rises or you leave is because it's been a money right but you love
- 7:19your job. Obviously you wouldn't be there still if you didn't.
- 7:22How have you managed that in terms of from a financial standpoint where you can still feel valued
- 7:28and sort of see pay rises. I mean heavy head pay rises. How has that kind of worked over the years?
- 7:33My first contract I signed when I was working for more of him in the wider
- 7:38upper was $21,000 a year and I don't know how I survived all that but my rent was $100 a week.
- 7:45I lived in Macedonia. We had a four bedroom house for a hundred bucks a week.
- 7:48A hundred dollars each I know and remember at university my flat was $80 so fab.
- 7:55We had like a full sleep out front yard backyard it was sick but yeah so I started off there and
- 8:01then when I came to Auckland my first job at the edge I started on like 30 grand a year and I started
- 8:08at the edge on 35. Yeah and so I was but when I got 30 I was like holy fuck and it's funny when
- 8:16you see it when you see it doesn't love some 30,000 you're like oh god and then when it gets
- 8:21taxed and you're being count you're like yeah and you're student loaned all that stuff yeah so I
- 8:26think that it was really instilled in my sisters and I like our whole life where you
- 8:33you are what you negotiate so you have to keep like hustling and if you work really hard then
- 8:39the goods will come and so I was kind of like well I got 21 grand now I get 30 grand and then I
- 8:45remember going I was doing days I was the music director I was doing days music director reading
- 8:54news and I was helping like with the breakfast show at the same time and I was I think I was getting
- 9:00like 45 grand was something two four different jobs and I went to and I was working weekends and
- 9:06that was the first time I really like when and insult myself to my boss and like did a standoff
- 9:11kind of negotiation and how did that feel was terrifying I absolutely hate talking about money
- 9:19in those situations like if I go to buy a car like with my husband I will ask all the questions
- 9:24that I want to know about the car and when it comes to the negotiating part I just walk away
- 9:28because I don't like I don't like I think it's because I was like bullied at school I don't
- 9:32like confrontation and I only have confrontation with people I feel comfortable having confrontation
- 9:38which is pretty much just lay on our big boss at work and Bryce my husband I kind of that was
- 9:43my first negotiation and lay on was like okay cool and he was really good about it and then once
- 9:48I like moved to drive the afternoon just anyone who doesn't know radio I would say crown jewel
- 9:54would probably all the crown jewels would be driving breakfast in terms of a radio is that because
- 9:59listenership is the highest yeah and they used to be used to be like breakfast drive blah blah blah
- 10:04more on power is not yeah breakfast and drive are pretty much the same
- 10:07listenership these days in terms of sponsorship or ads that would be pretty on par with what they
- 10:12would sell into Sharon's show as to what they wouldn't do first and so when I moved into that
- 10:19that's when I started to use Liz my agent because I don't like having those conversations
- 10:24she knows what the market value is she is better at that stuff and then I can just focus on my
- 10:30job and she negotiates that for me and does she take a fee for that yeah so you pay them a
- 10:35percentage that you negotiate and and that kind of comes out of your thing but for me I would
- 10:43earn less money than my commission if I didn't use her like so she's worth her weight and gold
- 10:47and she's just a great support person to have like a favor have any conflicts that I feel like I
- 10:52can't handle by myself she's like my my backup and she comes and helps me in stuff so she's
- 10:58like yeah I love that if I could but yeah but she so with that I think I've always just my
- 11:05motto has been like you are what you negotiate I earn enough to pay my bills I earn enough to be
- 11:11happy I don't want to work somewhere where I'm miserable just to earn a bit more money for a
- 11:18short amount of time like I love working for the people that I work for I love the people I work
- 11:22with I love the brand I work for and so far as long as I'm happy as long as I can dot my eyes
- 11:28cross my toes or whatever then that's cool with me I guess but my family says never really
- 11:33been driven by money in that way which we've always been driven by like happiness and loyalty if
- 11:38that makes sense yeah I honestly would say I think you're one of the most loyal people I know
- 11:42which is interesting because I know we haven't hung out in a long time but you know those people
- 11:46who are so you know you would never hear you say a bad word about the people that you love and who
- 11:51are close to you and I think and there's not really annoying yeah but I think but I think that's
- 11:56different it's like you're it's more like ingest you know and I truly think like for so many of
- 12:02your friends you would stand in front of a bus for them like so I was so so loyal and that's actually
- 12:06quite rare and I think especially in the media industry where it can be quite competitive and a
- 12:10lot of your good friends are within the industry there is kind of a scarcity mindset I may think
- 12:15there's the female side of things where it's like there's not that many female co-hosts so there's
- 12:18the whole like well you know I don't want to lose my job and I think that feeds into not taking
- 12:23as much maybe parental leave as you might want to have or you know you might not take time off
- 12:28because you're scared you might not get another job which is so fair enough because if you look at
- 12:31the radio industry or the media industry and you learn and you pick out who are the top female
- 12:36presenters there's not a huge amount of spots for that so I get that but then to on top of that be
- 12:41super loyal and encouraging of the people around you and teaching and nurturing young talent I think
- 12:47that is like one of the greatest not talents but I think it's a it's just such a lovely quality to
- 12:53have in an environment that unfortunately sometimes can feel quite competitive yeah and I think that
- 12:58it was like maybe made competitive by men totally if that makes sense so I like with parental leave for
- 13:07example I took but I remember talking to you because you're working for Kyle and Jackie yo when I
- 13:12was pregnant with my first time Tyson and I was like oh my god I'm like really scared like I'm
- 13:15going to lose my job blah blah blah but when I actually that's such a crazy mindset and I don't
- 13:22know you're the only person but it's also a mindset not just with immediate like yeah I totally
- 13:26even my friends that are you know with agencies or work in retail like a same thing I think is like
- 13:31if you've built your career and then you're but like you're about to have a child which is most
- 13:35amazing thing in the world and you're like fuck yeah I'm still going to have my job but when I
- 13:39vocalize that like I said to like Leon who's our big boss I was like I'm really like we've been
- 13:45out for breakfast and I was like I'm really worried like I don't want you to replace me like what can
- 13:49I do while I'm away and he was like here's like how long do you want to take off and I was like
- 13:52honestly Leon I'll take like 12 weeks I'll just take 12 weeks and he was like Sharon I'm going to
- 13:56take I'm going to block you out for a year and you just come back when you want to come back oh my
- 14:00god bless and I was like I promise you don't only do three months and he was like Sharon I don't
- 14:04expect you back six months he's like I don't want an answer before six months he's like just enjoy it
- 14:09you're only get it once and I was like okay so I ended up after Tyson I got to five months and
- 14:13then I was like can I come back after I've had a holiday and so I ended up having eight months
- 14:18off and it wasn't a problem but also I was working with John on being at the time and they were
- 14:26incredible because they both have kids they've had wives that went on maternity leave and they
- 14:30were amazing they would text me all the time they would call me all the time they came over
- 14:35and visited me and they were really supportive and and John I was John I was especially
- 14:41and been as well they were very much like no one's going to replace you we can't wait have
- 14:46you back and they were really awesome kind of the support and the reassurance you needed
- 14:50yeah cool yeah so that was really great and so then we know when I went on maternity leave with
- 14:55Rubin I he was a premature so he was like 11 weeks early I was in hospital for six weeks before
- 15:01he was even born and they were again they were great they're like Sharon radio doesn't matter
- 15:05that only thing that matters right now is you and the baby so just do it do you think that that's
- 15:09like a because they've had kids they get it and they obviously love their children and their wives
- 15:14or do you think that because like I think even if someone who has had kids or is in a relationship
- 15:19I'm just so amazed with that kind of response like I yeah I don't think it's the norm yet
- 15:24no I think it's individualized yeah it depends on the human even like my friends that I know
- 15:29at medius for they went on holiday I know that they've been told by Leon they're like you've got
- 15:35a I hope it doesn't mind I'm saying this sorry Leon but he'll be like hey make sure you cash out
- 15:39your annual leave before you go because it accrues while you're on maternity leave so if you don't
- 15:44use it now when you come back it'll be worth nothing so cash it out now so you get it at the
- 15:48full rate I just think that is like and I need a good management and a lot of people don't know
- 15:53that yeah and so a lot of people would take their annual leave and come back and be like oh
- 15:56fuck I've only got a quarter of what I would normally get paid so he would always be like you've
- 16:01got three weeks annual leave cash it out so you get it at its full value you're like okay great
- 16:06but then there are so inspired by that because I just think there's so many bosses where you hear
- 16:11stories that are kind of horror stories to hear there's like someone that's so in your corner
- 16:15that feels almost like a not a dad but kind of you know it doesn't matter to me then you get
- 16:20employees that stay for 17 years you know if you treat them well and that's like you can't
- 16:26put a price on that yeah to be honest that is a huge part of why I have stayed at media works
- 16:33and a huge part of why I love working the edge is because I've always had Leon's always been such
- 16:39a great manager to me human to me and he tells me the harsh truth when I need it we've definitely
- 16:45had our ups and downs but I love that if it came to it he would have your back in the situation
- 16:52and I love that about him Leon doesn't sponsor this podcast he doesn't and I don't have I don't
- 16:57have a contract up either so he's already fucked he stuck with me but there's also there are
- 17:04women with that out industry that have had you know they go on and maternity leave for like three
- 17:07months and then they come back and a lot of people think it's because they're scared they're going
- 17:10to lose their job but it is actually because they're the breed winners in their house so they come
- 17:15back and they're because you can split maternity leave it doesn't have to be the woman yeah it can
- 17:20be you could do six months they do six months and so like a couple of my friends that have done
- 17:26like the three months maternity leave their husbands have been to stay at home dad so that's why
- 17:30they've gone back but a lot of people because they used to like the woman has to take a year off
- 17:35they're like oh they've come back early because it insecure they've come back it looks insecure
- 17:39they're coming back because of the other ones making the money and the dad is being the stay at
- 17:42home dad yeah and I think that's amazing I think it'll be really interesting when pay becomes very
- 17:48equal and that isn't a gender pay gap because because at the moment obviously there's a lot of
- 17:52women who are earning less than men and therefore financially it makes sense for them to be
- 17:56set at home months because maybe childcare is more expensive they're earning expensive oh my gosh
- 18:01I was talking to a friend the other day and she was like she's had a wits end with her job and
- 18:04she's like you know what you literally pay me the amount that I pay to take yet so I'm literally
- 18:09like neck neck she's like I could be at home with my kids and not working not paying for childcare
- 18:13she's like but more mentally she's like I need to stay at work for my mental sanity yeah and my
- 18:18my career and all that but she's just like you know what like it's just child care so expensive
- 18:23so expensive and even especially after COVID it's even more expensive because there's more people
- 18:30that don't want to send their kids to candy and stuff because of COVID and because the least
- 18:34people were getting in through the borders there's not as many like opiers that come in from
- 18:38Europe and things like that so it's yeah it's definitely way more expensive and harder to find
- 18:42like good childcare so you have to pay through the roof when you do get it there's a business
- 18:46opportunity isn't it what are you gonna be you're gonna be a stay at home nanny for the whole of
- 18:49Auckland yes honestly you're gonna make some mean cash we can call it the little curse yeah yeah
- 18:55you shouldn't it's a smart idea will you teach them button visiting one or so babies in
- 18:59these exactly now kiddies is this one or two dollars like I can't talk here you're like I don't
- 19:06care the baby billion hour cloud yes I love it I want to and can I ask you and again also is
- 19:15anyone feeling like really great I feel quite drunk yeah I feel good but I also like I've got like
- 19:21a I want another shot I've got like a sore side is and I like feel like we're gonna sniff
- 19:25for the outside sound like blocked out just like that then I want another one it's sorry you're
- 19:28doing like sure let's get pissed he's getting pissed oh you sound like a such a mom no you can't
- 19:34get pissed because then you're gonna be like oh you got summer from Timmeroo on the
- 19:37podcast and then like saying I'm getting you pissed I would have pissed for ages I feel like
- 19:43there's off-brand for you pissed I'm trying to bring back uh Frenching instead of
- 19:47like you guys are doing some Frenching so I'm gonna bring that I like that so it's been doing
- 19:52some Frenching excuse me was that was someone called Christopher because I just saw a message
- 20:00what that on social beefers name you're not editing this but thank you we're filming
- 20:08we're filming on her phone and I just saw a notification come down and it was like Christopher
- 20:11heart heart heart oh my god it was totally no he's seen hearts no he did oh my god with an
- 20:18eggplant emoji do you want me to okay absolutely not stop it oh no no that was good that was
- 20:25that was sorry I didn't want to read it this word come up and I was like oh so if it's a tell me
- 20:29about Christopher hi Christopher I must say I do feel like I'm a little bit of a fuck girl at the
- 20:34moment just in June right I'm in a real good day see like it's fun why not I know oh
- 20:40when it rains it pours yeah just liberate you can't believe that just happened honestly if you
- 20:47that is so good don't call it being a fuck boy just call your one other kid you're just having fun
- 20:52and as long as you're safe and you're not condoms always condoms always as long as you're safe get
- 20:57out there and have fun yeah that's what I say I wish I had it's weird you say that I think you pulled
- 21:02sorry I think it is the microphone yeah good good fuck I hope it was a juicer over here
- 21:13she is so drunk um what was I gonna say you're gonna ask shut up you're gonna ask your
- 21:19question that you were I didn't have to answer which made me very intrigued I was just gonna
- 21:23say because you and Bryce are Bryce that you know and that doesn't know as Sharon's husband
- 21:26of gosh I don't know ten years a long time Bryce is also a would we say radio media personality
- 21:31of some description do you guys obviously talk about a salaries and compare that and then also I'm
- 21:37curious to know what your setup is financially and how and does that work for you so we moved in
- 21:43together must have been like a year or something that we were together man we moved in together
- 21:50within like 18 months and when you know you know when you know you know um but from the moment we
- 21:56moved in together we just merged everything yeah and which was a high risk scenario for Bryce because
- 22:03he owned he owned an apartment in Ponzi me so there was no like I said to him before we got
- 22:11married I was like do you want to do like a yeah like do you want to do like a prena prena because
- 22:16you were he's like no I was like well if we break up it means I can take have he's like we won't
- 22:21break up and I'm like okay your risk yes and we I am actually going to take it yeah Bryce is
- 22:30like super good with money he's really really good whereas I'm a spender he's a saver and so he
- 22:36from the moment we moved in together it was like okay you get this much spending money per pay
- 22:41I get this much spending money per pay and was that based on percentages of what you earn or how did
- 22:45you do that so just even so he get paid and I get paid put it together you both get 100 bucks for
- 22:52petrol 300 bucks spending money that's so good and then your farm bill boom what if you got for
- 22:57dinner it's like oh can you pay if you can you pay for like your money and then I so we even we do
- 23:04that now like so even to this day as soon as I get paid I take what is the budgeted spending money
- 23:09I pay my credit card and I if I have a phone bill or like gym or something like that and then I
- 23:15give him all my money and he just like does something honestly honestly when ever somebody dies
- 23:20I'm always like the my first thought is like oh fuck if Bryce dies I don't even know who
- 23:25are powers with and I always got to I'm like Bryce can you just make sure you leave somewhere
- 23:32the password in your will can you just write a list of who the powers with so good when I pay what
- 23:39do we pay water I was like you just leave all that shit okay I like it what the boys are bank
- 23:44password yeah I don't even have access to our savings account because if I had access to our
- 23:50savings account I'd be like oh 100 dollars for Sharon 100 dollars for Sharon so it's yeah so we
- 23:56have all of that like sorted like we just put it all together because we kind of look at each other
- 24:03look ourselves as a team if we go out for dinner now or if we go out together then yes I don't
- 24:08even take my card Bryce got it Bryce slash me yeah yeah yeah but it's like all of our stuff
- 24:14together and so yeah but we do do a thing where if I do a tally job then when I get paid for that
- 24:24I and now Bryce as well because he's usually stuck at home with the kids while I'm doing it or
- 24:27whatever I get to buy like a luxury item what do you choose so I could be like so you get paid
- 24:34and then you'll be like oh I might get that deadly pony handbag that'd be wanting for a long time
- 24:38and so it's something like that but it's all or it might be we'll have a weekend away or fun
- 24:43splurge basically yeah so basically it's something that you wouldn't buy normally but it's like yeah
- 24:47so I've got this really cool like purple dearly pony's bag that I bought in 2015 or something
- 24:53and I wear it all the time and he runs was like oh Adam was like I got this for when I did
- 24:56dancing with the stars and it's like a lot too except it's a purchase yeah pretty much and I
- 25:00got these really cool like um cheera for ringy I don't have a pseudonym right I don't even know
- 25:05that brand you know that brand she's like a designer but she's though they's really cool like
- 25:09the black kind of encrusted did she the tall blonde girl yes and there's got a bird one's got a
- 25:14birdie one's got chips but they were like three hundred dollars shows and I felt like a real burgy
- 25:18birch it's uh so that's kind of like where the treaty treats kind of come in it's like I think
- 25:24that's awesome because you probably don't Bryce probably doesn't budget for those jobs on television
- 25:29because they're they're an added bonus right it's like a 10 week filming for dancing with the stars
- 25:34or whatever it's not actually your yearly salary anyway yeah and you never know when it's gonna
- 25:37happen and also like when COVID happened I lost a quarter of my income and a one minute fun call
- 25:43what what was that but when dancing stars got canceled so it was like wow because of COVID and it
- 25:48was like I literally I remember getting told I mean like oh fuck and then hanging up and then
- 25:55looking at my phone and it was like 48 seconds or something I was like I just lost my job in 48
- 25:59seconds and it was a lot of money so it was just like hey just letting you know you're gonna get an
- 26:03email about this blah blah blah and I was like oh fuck okay cool and then that happened like a
- 26:07couple of times and then you might like the next year like this year I don't know if I've
- 26:12got any TV happening this year so you you can't really we never it's like your pocket money
- 26:17opposed to your like relied upon yeah we don't rely on it because TV is so fickle and comparison
- 26:21to radio it's like radios your wife and TV is your mistress yeah that's how Leon's always
- 26:28described it and I think it's very fitting do you have an emergency fund by any chance or do you
- 26:32know if Bryce has an emergency fund like savings so we have savings but also have like income
- 26:39and yeah yeah yeah yeah because it's like a lot of that would have happened to a lot of people
- 26:43and then but it would have been all there income or yeah government support but like yeah it's quite
- 26:48it's quite scary and especially when you've got two kids to be like oh my gosh I lost a quarter
- 26:51of my income yeah and then definitely like a lot of our friends does that were like comedians and
- 26:55stuff during COVID that was the thing you've got it always have like rainy day fund we like
- 27:00slam our mortgage as much as we can and stuff like that because we know that our jobs are so fickle
- 27:07that you could like if you don't get good ratings or whatever you've got to just make hey well the
- 27:11sun shines you know so you're super model do as much as you can because it could be gone like that
- 27:16and then you've gone from earning like a good salary to being like oh fuck like and that's my thing
- 27:22I always say to Bryce like we need to know how to do something else do you make an effort to
- 27:27upskill so that if something happened you could step this way or like what's the sort of process
- 27:32for you around that every time before I sign a contract I always at radio I always think do I
- 27:39still love this am I gonna want to do this for another whatever year to him I'm gonna sign
- 27:44do I want to do this every day is this gonna be the greatest thing I want to do if I didn't do
- 27:49that what else could I do and then I kind of like list off and be like okay what life do I want to
- 27:54live right now and right now I'm like I want to live that life like I want to do radio so I'm like
- 28:00sign it radio until I'm like 40 so like another three years and then when I get to there I'll be like
- 28:05do I still want to be on air do I want to have a behind the scenes jobs so that's why I've like
- 28:09earlier on in my career I did programming when I was music directors and I love the programming
- 28:13side of radio as well so if I lost my job on here I could slot back into a programming job
- 28:18tomorrow I could do on air coaching I could do sales sales you do podcasting podcasting you know
- 28:26like there's I look over a curve intern by the way I could lose my job tomorrow and so if I lose
- 28:32my job tomorrow what would I do yeah because there's so many people that are on air that that's all
- 28:38they've done for it's quite a niche yeah and then once that's gone it's like oh what do you do
- 28:45like heaps of broadcasts going to real estate afterwards like and do that yeah like there's heaps
- 28:52of like old broadcasts like Roed and Christie he's a real estate agent that used to be on breakfast
- 28:57Hamish Mackay used to be that's quite fun yeah there's heaps them because you've got the gift
- 29:02of the gap right you probably make more money being a real estate agent too but yeah so I do have
- 29:06that in my mind where I'm like okay what am I going to do how long do I want to do this and does
- 29:11that give you the security or peace of mind to have the confidence to either a negotiate what it is
- 29:16you want and you'd work away for but also knowing that your job isn't defining you in every
- 29:22sense of the word yes yeah definitely because I think as females we do not sell ourselves short but
- 29:29it's like the job is the big yeah the job is the be all and end all and it's like I think it's if
- 29:34you figure out what you love and what you're good at then you know your talents you know your
- 29:38skills and you can kind of adapt and mold that into something else should then everyone will
- 29:44happen that you do lose your job and so it's kind of knowing like did you say they need to do it
- 29:47as if it's going to happen so everybody does lose their job eventually yeah you know like
- 29:52everyone gets made redundant or they retire or whatever so you've got to be able to do something
- 29:56else right so yeah it's telling that you're that you're smart that you've got a talent that can
- 30:00be repurposed and yeah it's just having an emergency parachute in case you need it you may also
- 30:05just be stuck in a situation that makes you desperately unhappy and why would you you spend most
- 30:11of your time at work if you could do something else and not everyone has that luxury and I totally
- 30:16understand that but if you could do something else why would you spend most of the time doing
- 30:22something that damages your brain you know and that's hard you know and I'm definitely had I've
- 30:29definitely had times where I'm like you know what I fucking love this but I don't love it
- 30:34enough for it to make me this unwell and I'm not gonna fucking do it and being like okay I don't
- 30:39want to do this anymore unless this changes and then they're like okay cool and then we figure out
- 30:43how to make it change and if it hadn't changed I would have easily walked away from it and just
- 30:48I think that's super inspiring yeah but also but I'm lucky because my husband has a job you know
- 30:55there's a lot of people that might not be in that scenario but I would have easily been like
- 30:59fuck this because I know what it's like to be like very depressed and anxious and I don't want
- 31:05to yeah I don't want to spend most of my time away from my family and then coming home and being
- 31:11a piece of shit for them because I'm unhappy yeah so I'm that's my thing I'm like I refuse to do
- 31:16that I would rather go on work full-time at Cheetah and love my best life because I would love to
- 31:22just design people's cushions. Measure the discounts you get and then you're loud. Oh my god
- 31:26they get a minute discount. Oh my god I love it. You've probably looked into it like I won't
- 31:31put it past you. I have I've like honestly there's been times in my life where I'm like no fuck
- 31:35out I'm gonna see if Cheetah's got a job I know. Just stop back to front. I'm on their website
- 31:38every day it's gawking at cushions. I don't need to do it about that because Sharon was in the
- 31:43house for 2.5 seconds she was like excuse me how where did she get that chested rules from.
- 31:47We were saying we were saying cyborg. Yeah. Do you want to sell it? Let me know. Yeah I'm so
- 31:53keen. I'll sell. Hey you've got two gorgeous little kids in terms of money your relationship with
- 31:59it. What do you think are some of the key things that you want to pass on to them or help them
- 32:03understand when it comes to their relationship with money. So we will not ruin Ed so much
- 32:10because he's only like 15 months old but Tyson's five and pretty much from when he was old enough
- 32:16to kind of understand. We give him jobs and he has to earn a coin like he earns like a total or
- 32:22something. It could be as something as little as stacking the toilet paper away after the that's
- 32:27his job. You know and he has like a couple of jobs that he does. He sets the table at night time
- 32:32and he stacks away the toilet paper and now he's at a school he helps me make his lunch at night time.
- 32:37Basically he would get that and we put it in the money box and so he had to say he really wanted
- 32:42to go and see the glow worms away to more caves and so it took him a year but he had to save
- 32:48up for the he had to save up for his ticket and then he had to save up for his accommodation
- 32:55and petrol. He's going by himself and he's going to get it. Yeah but he had because you've got to pay
- 32:59petrol and daddy's car and like and it's also it's so if we're going like say if we were going
- 33:03on trips to the Gold Coast he would have to save up for this part he'd have to save up for part
- 33:08of his accommodation. He thinks he's paying for it but he's not but it's just so that he learns
- 33:12how to save money and we'll go to the warehouse and he goes like he's like Mama I want to get
- 33:17this Hot Wheels car and I'm like okay we'll have you got four dollars in your money box
- 33:21and he's like oh and I'm like well you make the decision if you want to buy that that's fine
- 33:26but you have to give me four dollars in your money box and we get home and so he sits here and he
- 33:30thinks about it and he's like that's so good and then he might do it and then as soon as we get
- 33:34home I'm like go get your money box and he has to give me the four dollars Sharon I reckon that
- 33:38is one of the coolest things I've heard in a long time but that's because that's what my parents
- 33:41would do for me we'd always be like asking for money and then our dad was like okay we're going
- 33:46to give you $20 a week pocket money which at that time was a shit ton of money we were like oh
- 33:51fuck we are so rich and hey we give us $20 a week pocket money and we weren't allowed to ask for
- 33:57anything else and so that was it so you had $20 if you wanted to go ice skating and spend
- 34:01all that night that's your 20 bucks gone but you get $20 pocket money we're not giving you a
- 34:05cent more cent less if you want more than that then you have to get a job and it was the same
- 34:09as we wanted to buy label clothes is my mum would call them is that like glassens or something?
- 34:14No more like you know if you want to get like a bill of long top oh god rip curl rip
- 34:18rip curl borough for all all people out there some dickies yes if you wanted any like a label clothing
- 34:24you've had to buy it yourself and so mum would like take us to the mall everywhere we've got
- 34:28a pocket money we'd have to like lay by like I bought this roxy jacket I got this roxy jacket
- 34:34and it was like $220 and I had to pay it off on lay by I still have it and I use my friends from
- 34:40high school mock me relentlessly do you wear it? Nah it's so fun I wore it everywhere my friends
- 34:46are like all around like my memory from you from high school is your roxy jacket and holiday
- 34:52menthols because I don't always like smoke holiday menthols is so cool and um but I I still have it
- 34:58because it's like the first thing I ever bought myself and it's got like cigarette burns and
- 35:02shit in it it's like you see baby but yeah it's stained as fuck but I love it and it's so
- 35:07symbolic yeah and it's like that's the first thing that I worked really hard for and paid off by
- 35:12myself yeah oh I just think the idea of teaching kids I think it's super hard to find the right way
- 35:18to do it where it's gonna sink in and they're gonna care like my parents bless their heart really
- 35:22really tried and it just didn't for some reason I battled until 30 just really didn't know what
- 35:28to do with my money and how to save and how to spend an invest and I think yeah it's such an art
- 35:35and so much time and effort that goes into teaching a younger generation about that but I I feel
- 35:40like you're nailing it that sounds awesome yeah my day was it's my day works it worked in banking
- 35:44before I was retired for like 40 odd years and his thing was like you should save I think it was
- 35:49like 20% of your pay which isn't like super that's what you say isn't it yeah it's quite hard to do
- 35:53that now but he was like even if you've saved two dollars from your pay as long as you've saved
- 35:58something yeah it has to don't just save nothing so you if you save two bucks in your paid you've
- 36:04saved something for a roady day and that's what we say like everyone's feeling the pinch at the
- 36:08moment and everything's so bloody expensive oh yeah and it's like you know what if you need to cut
- 36:12back from investing ten dollars a week then at least just cut it back to like two dollars a week
- 36:17but don't stop completely because it's then so hard to emotionally and like psychologically
- 36:23yeah get back in the habit get back in the habit yeah and I've definitely done that before I'm like
- 36:28oh no you know this month I'm just not gonna it can't even say it remains investments and then
- 36:32or something and I'm so red I'm like you're not red at all yeah I've done it before and I've cut
- 36:42I've cut back and I'm like oh this month you know like I've got a lot of expenses or I need to
- 36:46a lot I've got a lot to pay for I won't invest my money and before I know it's six months and I'm
- 36:50like gosh I'm like I haven't got back into the habit and then and then when you do start getting
- 36:54back in you're like oh you know it's like a big chunk of your salary going out again each month
- 36:59or if you're a spender give it to somebody who won't let you touch it like I had this I had this
- 37:05you know even like worse so I really really wanted this black deadly ponies backpack and this is
- 37:12back ponies yes I get 20 cents a day or something and I really really wanted it and it was so
- 37:17expensive and price was like get fucked is like you are not buying a backpack that expensive you're
- 37:23not gonna use it that much you're gonna use it for a year blah blah blah anyway so I said to my
- 37:28mum it's like mum I want to save it for this backpack it's out of stock at the moment I'm gonna give
- 37:32you um 50 bucks a pay until I have enough so I would give it to her she wouldn't let me touch it
- 37:37even if I'd be like mum I need that $50 back I said I'm going to say nope backpack okay eventually
- 37:43saved up for it I've got the backpack here I've been using it for eight years I use it every single
- 37:48day like you have it here right now yeah it's my work bag I take it to work every day and it's like
- 37:54but I had to give that money to my mum and because if I put it in my own account I would have
- 37:58spent it and then if I gave it to Bryce I'd be like you are not spending eight hundred hours on
- 38:01fucking backpack we're talking about this the other day so I was like can you be can you look after my
- 38:06money and I'll give you my savings and then every time I want to spend something I have to ask you I'm
- 38:09like yeah oh okay it's a game but if you give it to somebody that doesn't care like I give it to
- 38:15my mum and it's like easy as like she would expect that we need to talk about this later because I think
- 38:20it says this is necessarily yeah all my mum's hot fire tip which taught me how to budget was uh so
- 38:26say you get a hundred dollars a week spending money so you get your spending money out and cash
- 38:31and then you go to the bank and you get I would get um because I wanted to buy my lunch every day
- 38:36so I would get ten dollars a day per payday so say you get paid four nightly I'd get a hundred
- 38:44dollars worth of ten dollar notes so that's ten dollars a day for work and then fifty dollars per
- 38:48weekend and then I had two plastic bags in my like little money bags in my jewelry box every day
- 38:54I'd take a ten dollar note out and then when I went to town I'd take the fifty and that was all I could
- 38:59spend and holy shit it was like game changer I never needed to ask anyone for money and it just
- 39:05really taught me how to like that's a brilliant turn yeah I just like if you can see it it's better
- 39:09than especially now pay way I think it's psychologically back in the day it would have been a lot
- 39:15easier to say yeah because you were literally handing over money whereas now you just tap or you
- 39:19like yeah it's just kind of emotionally different I think yeah yeah and you check your bank
- 39:26balance goes oh my gosh yeah fifty dollars last until next Wednesday like Jesus oh yeah it's
- 39:32crazy it's so it's hard at the moment just guard on heaps of dates babe and get them to pay
- 39:37oh my oh my oh my oh my you can spot your hamburger burger or something I really hope
- 39:44he's not listening to this um Sharon I'm aware that you are a fury busy girl and you're a good girl
- 39:49but thank you so much for coming on and like yeah it's been great it's been so fun I think maybe
- 39:55made a little bit better by the eight winnie tequila better it's like I can have a net such
- 40:01Um, what do you call it?
- 40:02Like, wait.
- 40:03Like, wait.
- 40:04I haven't even had breakfast.
- 40:05Need it.
- 40:06Maybe I'm just living in a dream right now.
- 40:07I do feel like.
- 40:08Did you not feel it at all?
- 40:10Not really.
- 40:11Wow.
- 40:12I was like, that's so far.
- 40:13Yeah, I know.
- 40:14Like a little bit, but not like.
- 40:15I am definitely going to have that.
- 40:16Because I always get post-podcast anxiety or...
- 40:19Oh, do you?
- 40:20anxiety where I'm like, oh God, what did I say?
- 40:22Oh, am I going to get in trouble with that?
- 40:23I don't think I said anything about being in trouble.
- 40:25I don't think so.
- 40:26And also, if you do wake up in a panic, just message me.
- 40:28The duty of editing.
- 40:29I kind of remember it.
- 40:30Maybe I did feel the tequila.
- 40:31Yeah.
- 40:32I see that.
- 40:33And then I just stopped giving.
- 40:34You do not lie.
- 40:35Yeah.
- 40:36Do not try and tell me that you have all of a sudden not anxiety.
- 40:38I'm always like, I know.
- 40:39And you're just like, what does it feel like?
- 40:41I'm like, if it's so good, she's like, can't compact me into lies things.
- 40:44Whereas I'm like, oh, you know that thing that I said last Tuesday.
- 40:48Yeah.
- 40:49And you wake up in the, and like, four of them want to be like, fuck.
- 40:52What about that?
- 40:53I don't know when I was 12.
- 40:54It's like, sorry, if nobody cares about you that much.
- 40:56Yeah.
- 40:57That's true.
- 40:58I'm like, fuck, let's not even go there.
- 40:59It's not going to be a curse of a white woman.
- 41:00Yeah.
- 41:01This is exactly what I was about to say.
- 41:02Anyway, look, thank you for coming in.
- 41:04Thank you for being so open on us.
- 41:05Also sharing those amazing texts.
- 41:06Yeah.
- 41:07I think I made a few beggings for my money.
- 41:09Yeah.
- 41:10His amazing, yeah.
- 41:11No.
- 41:12Not like the way you normally get them.
- 41:14What?
- 41:15Excuse me.
- 41:16I do not buy any other types of beggings.
- 41:18You see, you know.
- 41:19You made us out like that.
- 41:21Yeah.
- 41:22Yeah.
- 41:23But you know, I see your son.
- 41:25Hopefully it will be less than seven years this time.
- 41:27Yes.
- 41:28Wait.
- 41:29I saw your cup of years ago at my booth.
- 41:30They've been answered.
- 41:31Wait, she threw the bananza.
- 41:32And also, I think we got a studio box again together
- 41:33and do like a cute coffee day.
- 41:34Yeah.
- 41:35Yeah.
- 41:36I went this one and a half a class.
- 41:37I left half way through.
- 41:38That's how tired it was.
- 41:39Oh my.
- 41:40So sad.
- 41:41I know.
- 41:42I did seven minutes of boxing and then I was like, I'm done.
- 41:43No, sure.
- 41:44And I paid $35 for that.
- 41:45Yeah.
- 41:46Can I say one last tip?
- 41:47Of course.
- 41:48If your parents tell you to invest in something, invest in it.
- 41:52Okay.
- 41:53So my parents, and we do it for our kids as well.
- 41:56My parents, when we were born, would put five dollars
- 41:59or $10 a week into a bank account anyway.
- 42:01So when we got older, our dad was like, you've got,
- 42:04and we wouldn't like to touch it until we're 18.
- 42:06And he was like, you've got this much money in your bank account.
- 42:09Auckland's building this new airport.
- 42:11Would you, I'm going to put some buy some shares.
- 42:14Do you want to buy some shares under your name for $1,000?
- 42:17And we're like, yes.
- 42:19So we bought shares for $1,000 in Auckland Airport
- 42:21and tripled it and it paid for my radio school.
- 42:24And then I sold him, so he still fucking got them.
- 42:28But I sold my shares to him to get my, to pay for radio school.
- 42:32But you'd get like, you know, your checks every year, which was great.
- 42:35But he invested us in that contact energy
- 42:38and speaking my language.
- 42:40It was the other one.
- 42:41Some fucking hospital, I don't know.
- 42:43But he, every investment that he made for us worked.
- 42:47Yeah.
- 42:48And we were really lucky.
- 42:49I mean, he worked in banking and his whole job
- 42:52was crisis care management for like really big companies
- 42:56and farms and shit.
- 42:57But he was really good at it.
- 42:58And every time he gave us a tip at the time,
- 43:00we were like, I don't want to get $7,000 in my money.
- 43:03But then, boom.
- 43:05I think it's because it's like a long term.
- 43:07They've got a long term view.
- 43:08Or you're like, look, you invest in it when you're around age.
- 43:10You can't get it to your 18, which is like, I don't know, maybe 10, 15 years away.
- 43:13And so it's kind of locked in for that period,
- 43:15whereas we find it when we're quite hard when we're older
- 43:18to not touch an investment for that long.
- 43:21So it's like when you're a kid, you're out hanging with your friends
- 43:24and stuff.
- 43:25You're not thinking about your investments.
- 43:26And so when it's kind of done for you,
- 43:28or taken care of for you,
- 43:30or done a little bit.
- 43:31And you have a long time horizon.
- 43:32Yeah.
- 43:33That's when, that's why we always say it.
- 43:34I can be for the long term.
- 43:35Yeah.
- 43:36And if you can get your Kiwi saver on your banking app,
- 43:40so you can see how much money you have in there.
- 43:42Do you reckon, because I find I'm like,
- 43:44oh, I'd love to dip into that kind of stuff.
- 43:46No, because I don't know how to dip into it.
- 43:47But I see it.
- 43:48And I'm like, fuck your share.
- 43:49And you're going to grease when you're retired.
- 43:52So every week when I see it get bigger,
- 43:54I'm like, oh, yeah, bitch.
- 43:55You're doing life.
- 43:56And I feel like I'm doing it, you know?
- 43:59And we have both our kids have Kiwi saver as well.
- 44:02It's like something that Bryce's dad does for them,
- 44:04which is a privilege that I acknowledge that.
- 44:06But yeah, if you have your Kiwi saver on your banking app,
- 44:08you can see how much it's growing.
- 44:10And it just makes you like, fuck your pay my Kiwi saver.
- 44:13No, but my mum also bought me contact energy shares
- 44:16when I was very young.
- 44:17And it's, I don't think I made a lot of money off it.
- 44:20I can't quite remember.
- 44:21But I think it was more the psychological psychology of
- 44:26the dividend checks arriving in the mail.
- 44:28Yes.
- 44:29And I was like, oh, my God, I'm just getting money.
- 44:30Yeah.
- 44:31And I'm just flowing in.
- 44:32And this is great.
- 44:33It would have been like, I don't know, like $20.
- 44:35$20.
- 44:36Yeah.
- 44:37But I'm like, cool.
- 44:38I remember getting one for 53 bucks once.
- 44:39And I was like, um, I'm going to clients.
- 44:41If you don't know what clients is, then you're too young.
- 44:44So basically what Lobby so was in the 90s.
- 44:46Oh, my God.
- 44:47I didn't know for real.
- 44:48I feel like I'm not that young.
- 44:49OK.
- 44:50Neither.
- 44:51I don't know what it is.
- 44:52We digress.
- 44:53And also, I can hear my stomach rumbling into the microphone.
- 44:55I haven't eaten, but I've had it to Kayla Schott.
- 44:57So I'm like, this is probably up the tenth time
- 44:59that you're stomach is scrambled on a podcast.
- 45:00Oh, shush, shush, shush, shush.
- 45:01No fear.
- 45:02As long as you didn't shoot your pants,
- 45:03you wring a white outfit.
- 45:04That would be better.
- 45:05It's yellow.
- 45:06Sorry.
- 45:07You were actually both in the middle of the night.
- 45:08Yeah.
- 45:09I thought this was like, I was like,
- 45:10is this a matching podcast?
- 45:12Yeah.
- 45:13This is our uniform.
- 45:14We're just dressing full yellow outfits.
- 45:15Yeah.
- 45:16We've got another message here from Chris.
- 45:17Oh, fuck off.
- 45:18Oh, my God.
- 45:19He's really good.
- 45:20He's really good.
- 45:21Goodbye.
