- 0:34Speaker 2: Today's episode, we have NFL Network insider Tom Pelsero, he's
- 0:37Speaker 2: in Kansas City for the NFL Draft, talks about well all,
- 0:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's all. It talked about Aaron Rodgers stuff too.
- 0:44Speaker 2: But I also have football drama breaking right now that
- 0:47Speaker 2: I'll share with you guys that I can get someone
- 0:49Speaker 2: on to actually talk about it. So this is this
- 0:55Speaker 2: is breaking, so I don't want to mess it up.
- 0:59Speaker 2: And we're live right now. It's a podcast. We can
- 1:02Speaker 2: always edit it. Okay, here we go. Hold on second,
- 1:06Speaker 2: it's civil answer trying to FaceTime.
- 1:18Speaker 3: M is yo, what's okay?
- 1:22Speaker 2: You're on. We need to know what's going on. Tell us,
- 1:24Speaker 2: tell us the drama.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Okay, so we have the rule no two clock.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Madden, our Madden League, guys, it's we got some dramas. No, no,
- 1:37Speaker 2: it's not draft news. Go ahead. We have a no
- 1:38Speaker 2: two clock rule till the fourth quarter.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Go ahead, no two clock to the fourth quarter.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I noticed in the second quarter he's making lots of
- 1:46Speaker 4: play adjustments that just happened to run the clock.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Down real low.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Okay, well, now.
- 1:54Speaker 4: He runs the ball, runs into the one yard line, stops.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Now he's chewing the clock manually down to no time left.
- 2:04Speaker 4: But when I do it, it's not managing the clock.
- 2:08Speaker 3: It's chewing the clock.
- 2:09Speaker 2: So he says he's managing. You say he's chewing. And
- 2:11Speaker 2: the rule is there's no clock chewing in our league
- 2:13Speaker 2: until the fourth quarter. Then you can chew the clock
- 2:16Speaker 2: because that's just game management.
- 2:18Speaker 3: So chewing the clock. Steve was watching.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Okay, I appreciate that. Is there anything else you'd like
- 2:24Speaker 2: to say in your defense before he attacks to you?
- 2:27Speaker 4: I mean, I've beat him like the last twelve times
- 2:30Speaker 4: that we've played, so I understand it.
- 2:33Speaker 3: He was playing scared football.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Scaredy cat.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Oh definitely you saw the text. He's scared.
- 2:39Speaker 2: All right, buddy, thank you. There's Cody, random kid Cody,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and listen, the guys, this is for Monday. This is
- 2:43Speaker 2: our Madden Football. I know drafts coming out, but who cares. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 2: you can't chew the clock until late in the fourth quarter.
- 2:50Speaker 2: You can manage the clock late in the second quarter
- 2:53Speaker 2: so you don't have to kick the ball back. You
- 2:54Speaker 2: can't chew in the third. And so the other culpra
- 2:57Speaker 2: is Mike Science, who comes on here a little bit. Well,
- 2:59Speaker 2: check in with him real if you can answer. But
- 3:02Speaker 2: it's it's playoffs or the money where we're talking money,
- 3:06Speaker 2: real life money. Now, you don't mess feel with money.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's true, Mike Science. If the Cody you're playing right now,
- 3:11Speaker 2: they should be both working. Probably okay, there he is,
- 3:17Speaker 2: was up. We just heard Cody's story. You have about
- 3:20Speaker 2: thirty seconds to defend yourself.
- 3:23Speaker 5: To defend what there's something to defend.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Two clock.
- 3:27Speaker 6: There was no chewing clock. There is a two clock
- 3:29Speaker 6: button that we are not allowed to use.
- 3:32Speaker 2: No also chwoing clock. You don't have to chew the
- 3:34Speaker 2: clock on the button.
- 3:35Speaker 6: Just listen, listen, chew clock when you're the chewing clock
- 3:38Speaker 6: method is to drain the play clock all the way
- 3:41Speaker 6: down to one second then snap the ball.
- 3:43Speaker 3: That is not what I was doing. In the second quarter.
- 3:46Speaker 6: I had a minute left and Jon had an open
- 3:50Speaker 6: route to the end zone, and instead of going to
- 3:53Speaker 6: the end zone, I got tackled.
- 3:56Speaker 2: At the one managing the clock. I hear managing right,
- 3:58Speaker 2: managing the clock.
- 3:59Speaker 6: That's and he's the third quarter. I'm like, because that's
- 4:02Speaker 6: not halftime. But like, you don't have any timeouts. I
- 4:04Speaker 6: can run run the rest of the clock and then
- 4:06Speaker 6: kick off to you halftime. Like it's a smart clock management.
- 4:10Speaker 6: It's not chewing the clock.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So you didn't do it in the first or the
- 4:12Speaker 2: third quarter or early in the second quarter. Say it again,
- 4:15Speaker 2: you didn't do it in the first quarter or the
- 4:17Speaker 2: third quarter or early.
- 4:18Speaker 6: Video I can show everyone in the video video.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Thank you. Well, I'm then if I feel like I'm
- 4:25Speaker 2: on your side.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Then thank you.
- 4:26Speaker 7: Appreciate it.
- 4:27Speaker 2: That there you go. All right, that's the drama breaking
- 4:30Speaker 2: chewing the clock controversy.
- 4:33Speaker 7: And why are they not working? I know it's gonna
- 4:36Speaker 7: say mid day. These guys are answering their phones are
- 4:40Speaker 7: playing mad.
- 4:41Speaker 2: All I saw was like thirty text and I was like,
- 4:42Speaker 2: what happens? And it hurt and it's like they're just
- 4:44Speaker 2: fighting about chewing the clock. Well, because it's money time
- 4:47Speaker 2: we play. You get to the playoffs, you win the
- 4:49Speaker 2: you win the championship, you get everybody's money. And so
- 4:51Speaker 2: now once you lose, you're out for the year. You're
- 4:53Speaker 2: done with the whole season. You'll get you money. And
- 4:55Speaker 2: we have a rule you can't choose the clock until
- 4:57Speaker 2: late until the fourth quarter period because what happened was
- 5:00Speaker 2: there was shortened games against me, just they would just
- 5:02Speaker 2: shorten it immediately and be like they were two lucked
- 5:05Speaker 2: the whole time against me.
- 5:06Speaker 7: Just running down into the play clock the whole time the.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Whole time, just so I'd have less so annoying. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 2: there's such whims.
- 5:10Speaker 7: Yeah, that's football.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You came to the show football today, You're in the
- 5:13Speaker 2: right place.
- 5:14Speaker 7: All kinds of foot We start with Madden Football Baby.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Okay, Uh, this show is on a Wednesday this week
- 5:20Speaker 2: because the draft is on Thursday night and we just
- 5:23Speaker 2: wanted to make sure that we didn't put something up tomorrow.
- 5:25Speaker 2: The ended up being super dated and before you know it,
- 5:27Speaker 2: draft's over, so we put it up today, so there's
- 5:29Speaker 2: an extra day for people to live with it. That
- 5:31Speaker 2: being said, let's hit that tit till tattle. I forgot
- 5:40Speaker 2: to blow the whistle again. Hey, Ray, can you be
- 5:42Speaker 2: my whistle guy? Yeah, like you gotta blow the whistle,
- 5:45Speaker 2: brot you. This whole show is started on me blowing
- 5:48Speaker 2: this whistle to start it.
- 5:49Speaker 8: We had the news to break though, That's true.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I was pretty fired up about that news. All right,
- 5:53Speaker 2: show started tittle tattle now, okay, all right. In honor
- 6:04Speaker 2: of Draft week that we've been talking about, who is
- 6:06Speaker 2: your biggest draft bust of all time? Two come to
- 6:10Speaker 2: mind immediately. The first one that comes to mind is
- 6:15Speaker 2: Ryan Leaf, but not because of him being simply a bust,
- 6:22Speaker 2: although I like Ryan Leaf a lot now as a
- 6:25Speaker 2: commentator or a personality a radio TV. I think he's great.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But I'm also at number two. But number one I'm
- 6:31Speaker 2: gona JaMarcus Russell, especially the stories they came out about
- 6:35Speaker 2: JaMarcus Russell where they would they give him the blank
- 6:37Speaker 2: tape and they were like yeah, They're like, hey, here's
- 6:40Speaker 2: this tape. This is good. You know you watch this.
- 6:43Speaker 2: We can scheme. They came back the next day or a
- 6:45Speaker 2: couple of days later, like, Okay, what'd you learn? He
- 6:47Speaker 2: was like, well, it turns out they put nothing on
- 6:49Speaker 2: the tape. He never watched it anything. He said, he's
- 6:51Speaker 2: made up. So I go JaMarcus Russell at one, Ryan
- 6:56Speaker 2: Leaf at two. Probably in recent years, John Ross played
- 7:05Speaker 2: at Washington wide receiver, ran a four two forty and
- 7:10Speaker 2: really did nothing top ten pick. I think he resigned
- 7:13Speaker 2: with Kansas City even this year.
- 7:15Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, he has been around recently, but I don't
- 7:18Speaker 7: think he's really even active during the games.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And I think he just re signed and you may
- 7:23Speaker 2: look that up see if John Ross is still with
- 7:24Speaker 2: Kansas City. I know the season un to start yet,
- 7:26Speaker 2: but I feel like he's on on that Kansas City
- 7:28Speaker 2: squad now. Brian Bosworth is one that should be mentioned,
- 7:31Speaker 2: but I think he kind of did that to himself,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and I think he had a somewhat successful ish career
- 7:36Speaker 2: until he was injured. That Bo Jackson play where they
- 7:38Speaker 2: met at the goal line and bo Jackson ran over
- 7:41Speaker 2: him and it was one on one like that last
- 7:43Speaker 2: in everybody's mind. You got to think though bo Jackson
- 7:44Speaker 2: was also a study. Bo Jackson at momentum speed. He's
- 7:47Speaker 2: just not gonna win that anybody.
- 7:49Speaker 7: I've always said to till Mike, it's really not that bad.
- 7:51Speaker 2: But he had such a big personality and the hair
- 7:54Speaker 2: and the you could keep going, so it just made
- 7:55Speaker 2: it look worse when he didn't dominate. But Bosworth's one
- 8:00Speaker 2: that comes to people's minds because of how big of
- 8:01Speaker 2: a personality he was. Although I would not put him there.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I think he actually had an okay NFL career. What
- 8:06Speaker 2: do you have on John Ross?
- 8:08Speaker 7: John Ross did sign a futures contract with the Chiefs
- 8:10Speaker 7: back in January.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I never heard of futures contract.
- 8:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:13Speaker 7: They usually do it right when the season ends, like hey,
- 8:15Speaker 7: we're gonna sign you right now so we can have
- 8:16Speaker 7: you in four months from now.
- 8:17Speaker 2: And in case we want to keep you, and so
- 8:19Speaker 2: they pay him a little bit, yeah, just to keep
- 8:21Speaker 2: them around in case they want to keep him longer later.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I remember running four two forty. I think I was
- 8:25Speaker 2: like a four to two and everybody's like, oh, oh
- 8:28Speaker 2: my god, I drafted top ten, so I would go
- 8:31Speaker 2: That's how I go. JaMarcus Ryan Leaf, John Ross honorable
- 8:35Speaker 2: mentioned Brian Bosworth because I just don't want to hear
- 8:36Speaker 2: people telling me I forgot that one all right.
- 8:38Speaker 7: Next up with Aaron Rodgers set to wear Jets uniform
- 8:41Speaker 7: next year, which non NFL player looked wrong in another uniform?
- 8:45Speaker 2: Well, the easy one is Michael Jordan later in his career.
- 8:50Speaker 2: That was weird with the Wizards just because it's iconic.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Even Michael Jordan, we're in forty five. Is weird for
- 8:55Speaker 2: a minute, Yeah, even when you see that. But if
- 8:58Speaker 2: we take Jordan out of it. The one that I
- 9:02Speaker 2: almost don't even remember or I have to check myself
- 9:04Speaker 2: to go, was that even real? Like Patrick Ewing with
- 9:07Speaker 2: the Magic that was really weird because Patrick Ewing is
- 9:11Speaker 2: a nick and only a nick. Quem Olajuan in Toronto
- 9:17Speaker 2: with the Raptors because he's only a rocket to me,
- 9:22Speaker 2: and some players move around. Sure, Shack moved all around.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I can see him in all the uniforms. But like
- 9:26Speaker 2: Ewing and Alajue, I'm even cool with Karl Malone and
- 9:31Speaker 2: the Lakers because like Steve Nash went to the Lakers,
- 9:34Speaker 2: Dwight Howard went to the Lakers, Like I can picture
- 9:36Speaker 2: a lot of people in Lakers uniforms because so many
- 9:37Speaker 2: stars did that, and Karl Malone did it because he
- 9:40Speaker 2: wanted won a title. So I Don'm not bothered by
- 9:43Speaker 2: Carl Malone, Dwayne Wade with the Calves. I think I'm
- 9:50Speaker 2: gonna go with Ewing and Elijah Onon though, because those
- 9:52Speaker 2: were just so weird, Like I only associate them with
- 9:55Speaker 2: the Knicks and the Rockets.
- 9:56Speaker 7: I honestly don't even remember that.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I think I only remember because it's been shown a
- 10:01Speaker 2: few times when they do stories abot people who should
- 10:05Speaker 2: have retired earlier. I know we said non NFL, but EMMITTT.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Smith as a cardinal was always weird, just as like
- 10:13Speaker 2: they just taste funny. Like it says they don't go together.
- 10:17Speaker 2: It's like mustard and ice cream, they just don't go together.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Let's go to the next question. Talk about injuries in
- 10:22Speaker 2: the NBA. There's a lot of them going on right now.
- 10:24Speaker 2: So what is one athlete that you wish never got
- 10:27Speaker 2: injured that derailed his career? Being a Cubs fan, I
- 10:30Speaker 2: do think of Mark Pryor and I do think of
- 10:32Speaker 2: Carrie would because they were both awesome for us. I mean,
- 10:37Speaker 2: Carrie Wood struck out twenty I watched the game. I
- 10:42Speaker 2: watched every Cubs game back then, if I could. But selfishly,
- 10:45Speaker 2: it's both of those pictures, but also in recent times,
- 10:48Speaker 2: probably Andrew Luck. I think we're all kind of surprised
- 10:51Speaker 2: by that too. He's like, yeah, I'm good, I'm done.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And we kept waiting for him to come back, and
- 10:55Speaker 2: then you kept hearing Andrew like, never wants to come back.
- 10:57Speaker 2: He's good, kind of set through organization, back to.
- 11:01Speaker 7: Oh yeah, big time, still trying to recover.
- 11:03Speaker 2: From so selfishly carry wood Mark pryor recently NFL Wise,
- 11:10Speaker 2: Andrew Luck, what about that to you? Who would you
- 11:12Speaker 2: put on that list?
- 11:14Speaker 7: Brandon Roy? Raw Roy, that's hockey player. No is that
- 11:18Speaker 7: sounded like it though, that's a different one. But the
- 11:19Speaker 7: basketball player for the Blazers, Oh god, like early two
- 11:22Speaker 7: thousands ish, But.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah raw no, No, wall is a hockey player.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Aw is a goalie?
- 11:27Speaker 5: Yes?
- 11:27Speaker 7: Yeah, yes, Penny Hardaway, Yeah there's another one. He was
- 11:30Speaker 7: really good. Yeah, and I think I mean Tracy McGrady
- 11:33Speaker 7: didn't really retire early, but he was always out with injuries.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I felt like, and I love watching him. I feel
- 11:38Speaker 2: like if Derek Rose, yes, I mean obviously still playing.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I saw him get a standing out with the Knicks
- 11:42Speaker 2: the other night. Like Derek Rose was so legit. Yes,
- 11:46Speaker 2: but I had some nagging but one really bad injury
- 11:50Speaker 2: that that kind of kept him from being that star.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I mean being a stars as much staying healthy as
- 11:54Speaker 2: it is having big games, because you got to be
- 11:57Speaker 2: healthy to even have a shot to have those games.
- 11:59Speaker 2: People like, well, they just played a long time. They
- 12:01Speaker 2: don't have the average. Most people can't play a long
- 12:04Speaker 2: time like that. Also, there's something too that just lasting
- 12:07Speaker 2: in the league, whatever league it is. So I'm gonna
- 12:10Speaker 2: go with the two Cubs guys and Andrew Luck. What
- 12:11Speaker 2: else you got with.
- 12:12Speaker 7: The A's in works to leave Oakland? Which city not
- 12:15Speaker 7: named Nashville because we live here? Would you like to
- 12:17Speaker 7: see get a new pro team next?
- 12:20Speaker 2: Wait you take Nashville out. I'm on the freaking bill.
- 12:22Speaker 7: It's so easy. I would love to see a team here.
- 12:24Speaker 7: But it's just so easy.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Which city would I like to see get a pro team? Memphis?
- 12:31Speaker 2: They're close, although they have the Grizz, but that's it.
- 12:35Speaker 7: So another Tennessee team, Chattanooga, yea Knoxsville, something close Knoxville.
- 12:39Speaker 2: What cities are close or what cities don't have a
- 12:43Speaker 2: team that would be cool to have a team.
- 12:46Speaker 7: There's always talks. Obviously Austin it'd be.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Awesome, and they've talked about it for a few different reasons.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And they also the Spurs want I'll play a game
- 12:53Speaker 2: there that every year. Now it seems like they just
- 13:00Speaker 2: San Antonio has the Spurs, but they don't have anything.
- 13:03Speaker 2: They don't have a football team or a baseball team.
- 13:05Speaker 2: I wish they just had like a central text central
- 13:07Speaker 2: Lower Texas team, like the new Bronvils, you know, Neanderthals,
- 13:13Speaker 2: because I was like right in the middle, and then
- 13:15Speaker 2: both of those people could go to those games.
- 13:17Speaker 7: How far is San Antonio from Austin Our Oh.
- 13:20Speaker 2: It's so close, which is why. And then Houston's two
- 13:23Speaker 2: and a half from Austin. Dallas is three. So you
- 13:25Speaker 2: have all these teams, but Austin has University of Texas,
- 13:29Speaker 2: so proximity wise, you have a whole bunch pro teams
- 13:33Speaker 2: really close to each other. El Paso maybe would be good,
- 13:38Speaker 2: but I don't know if they have the population to
- 13:39Speaker 2: actually keep the team.
- 13:41Speaker 7: I feel like you can make a fun name out
- 13:42Speaker 7: of that one.
- 13:43Speaker 2: They have minor league teams, Yeah, yeah, yeah, what else
- 13:45Speaker 2: you got?
- 13:45Speaker 7: Okay with Butler's career high fifty six points the other night.
- 13:48Speaker 7: What's the best single game you've ever had of your life?
- 13:51Speaker 7: Any sport, anytime?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Oh, we get to go full Uncle Rico here. Let
- 13:56Speaker 2: me think about that for a second, because mom would
- 13:58Speaker 2: probably be baseball. What do you know yours?
- 14:03Speaker 7: Off the top of my head, what comes out is
- 14:05Speaker 7: my junior year of high school in the semi finals
- 14:08Speaker 7: having a pick six and we only put up thirteen points.
- 14:10Speaker 7: I had one of two touchdowns and it was a
- 14:11Speaker 7: great game. Did you play defensive back strong safety?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:15Speaker 7: So come down as a linebacker, cover four, done to
- 14:17Speaker 7: cover two. I kind of thought you were a linebackery
- 14:19Speaker 7: it was a hybrid.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Were you bigger? I was? Are you bigger now?
- 14:24Speaker 7: Oh, I'm bigger enough for I was probably not the
- 14:25Speaker 7: same height, but one ninety two.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I never hit a home run over the fence. I
- 14:30Speaker 2: had a couple of dinker in the park home runs
- 14:32Speaker 2: because I was not a power hitter whatsoever. In baseball
- 14:34Speaker 2: and baseball I was actually pretty good where like my
- 14:37Speaker 2: senior year, I was like defensive player of the whole conference, uh,
- 14:42Speaker 2: all regions, all this stuff. I got all the awards
- 14:44Speaker 2: my senior year, best game though. I hit the I
- 14:49Speaker 2: bat it first, first pitch a rope right off the wall.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I was stunned. I was stunned. Then hit the wall,
- 14:57Speaker 2: and I was like, I was so stunned that I
- 14:59Speaker 2: think I barely got to second base. That's how the
- 15:01Speaker 2: game started. I think I slid and just beat the throw.
- 15:03Speaker 2: But I was just like, wow, I thought I thought
- 15:05Speaker 2: it was out. I hit it. I was like, oh
- 15:06Speaker 2: my god, this is a home run, and it wasn't.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So I was kind of like watching it because I
- 15:10Speaker 2: had never been there before, so I couldn't act like
- 15:12Speaker 2: I've done it before. And then I think I went
- 15:15Speaker 2: three for four. I think I scored four times. One
- 15:20Speaker 2: of those I think it was on the fielded with
- 15:21Speaker 2: short I'm just going three for four. I think I
- 15:24Speaker 2: had four runs scored, hit one off the wall. That's
- 15:26Speaker 2: a pretty good game for me.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Nice.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I liked it, and I just remember hitting it. It
- 15:31Speaker 2: came off the bat so pure, and I was like,
- 15:34Speaker 2: oh my god, is that out of here? And then
- 15:36Speaker 2: it wasn't, and I was like, oh, oh God, I
- 15:38Speaker 2: gotta go. That's awesome.
- 15:40Speaker 7: That feeling off you can't even really feel it home.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Oh you don't fill in your hands at all. It's like,
- 15:45Speaker 2: what the crap? Because I don't see well. So for
- 15:48Speaker 2: me to be a leadoff hitter, contact hitter, like, I
- 15:51Speaker 2: had to play with my stands really wide open because
- 15:53Speaker 2: my back eye and my left eyes the one that works,
- 15:55Speaker 2: so just to have my head turned. And so I
- 15:58Speaker 2: slapped a lot, I bonded a lot, I hit it
- 16:01Speaker 2: up the wall. Almost piss my pants. I might say
- 16:04Speaker 2: piss a couple times on here. People are like, why
- 16:05Speaker 2: do you say that? That almost peed my pants? All right,
- 16:08Speaker 2: that's it. That's the Tittle Tattle, stupidest name ever.
- 16:11Speaker 9: Kiss the Tittle Tattle.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Reminder of the twenty five Whistles brought to you by

- 16:46Speaker 2: are back home. And then you gotta help me out here,
- 16:48Speaker 2: because on my sheet I put the wrong thing. I
- 16:50Speaker 2: have Warriors at Warriors, and that obviously can't be true
- 16:53Speaker 2: at Kings. So it's Golden State at Sacramento. Yes, Golden
- 16:58Speaker 2: State's minus one and a half.
- 17:01Speaker 7: I believe it's Sacramento, Golden State Sacramento. Sorry, Golden State.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Now two, So Golden State minus two. Of all those,
- 17:07Speaker 2: I think I would take the Lakers and the points
- 17:09Speaker 2: in Memphis. I think the Lakers can close this thing out.
- 17:13Speaker 2: So I'm gonna parlay this up for you. I feel
- 17:14Speaker 2: pretty good about this. And you've known me. I'd know
- 17:16Speaker 2: NBA games. I know you know one thing about me.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I'm about to crush this. Lakers plus four Warriors money
- 17:23Speaker 2: line collector smiles. I don't do it. Lesson for sure.
- 17:30Speaker 2: For sure doesn't mean I'm right. Yeah, I'm for sure.
- 17:35Speaker 2: So I'm going Lakers plus four Warriors money line collector smiles.

- 18:41Speaker 2: how's it going, man?
- 18:42Speaker 5: I'm great? How are you? Hey?
- 18:43Speaker 7: You look good?
- 18:43Speaker 2: Are you like somewhere for the draft and you have
- 18:45Speaker 2: a big day today, like you look sharp today.
- 18:48Speaker 5: This is the round the clock coverage on NFL network
- 18:52Speaker 5: or look right here. Start out, no tie in the morning,
- 18:56Speaker 5: just make everyone feel comfortable and then you know, we
- 18:59Speaker 5: class up a little bit in the afternoon.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Do you fix your own hair? I struggle with that
- 19:03Speaker 2: because they do an okay amount of TV, But I
- 19:05Speaker 2: don't know how to fix my hair unless somebody fixes
- 19:08Speaker 2: it for me, and my hair is kind of long.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Are you Are you good at your own hair at
- 19:11Speaker 2: this point?
- 19:12Speaker 5: You have to be. I mean I do my own
- 19:14Speaker 5: makeup ninety percent of the time. That's one thing that's
- 19:17Speaker 5: different here is we actually have people handling that part
- 19:20Speaker 5: of the job who know more to do than just
- 19:22Speaker 5: like that. I like that. But the hair, the secret
- 19:27Speaker 5: is coconut oil. That's how you get the all days shine.
- 19:30Speaker 5: You get a little bit of coconut oil. You kind
- 19:32Speaker 5: of work it in and it just has a way
- 19:34Speaker 5: of sticking and give making it look like you always
- 19:36Speaker 5: got fresh out of the shower, even if you've been
- 19:38Speaker 5: going for twelve hours straight.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not even making a joke, like it looks
- 19:41Speaker 2: great I'm looking at Tom like god, dang dude, and
- 19:43Speaker 2: right now you must be on call basically like a doctor,
- 19:47Speaker 2: right especially with the draft for sure, But the Aaron
- 19:50Speaker 2: Rodgers news that broke, I'm imagining your phone's going off NonStop.
- 19:53Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, this is this is always interesting time
- 19:56Speaker 5: of year because there is a pressure point with a
- 19:57Speaker 5: lot of these things, like the Aaron Rodgers train, where
- 20:00Speaker 5: if it didn't get done before the draft, then you
- 20:03Speaker 5: were going to go into crazy town and that thing
- 20:05Speaker 5: could have taken the entire summer. So on a personal level,
- 20:08Speaker 5: there's a sense of relief when things get wrapped up
- 20:11Speaker 5: right about now and you just try to have a
- 20:14Speaker 5: sense for what exactly they're going to take place. There's
- 20:17Speaker 5: always things you don't see coming. I mean the Aaron
- 20:19Speaker 5: Rodgers trade. Ultimately, it was largely a matter of when,
- 20:22Speaker 5: not if. Those are things that will pop up out
- 20:25Speaker 5: of nowhere, and you just kind of kind of, you know,
- 20:27Speaker 5: react as quickly as possible when those things happened. But
- 20:31Speaker 5: you know, it's always good again to clear something that's
- 20:33Speaker 5: been saved to my Twitter drafts for months. You know,
- 20:35Speaker 5: it's like waiting, make sure it's there, make sure it's
- 20:38Speaker 5: updated and then you do your best to have fast
- 20:41Speaker 5: fingers and jump on TV.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Let's start with Aaron Rodgers. Why did it take so
- 20:46Speaker 2: long to get done? And you know there was more
- 20:49Speaker 2: than just Rogers going to the Jets, and there was,
- 20:52Speaker 2: you know, a conditional part of that as well. How
- 20:55Speaker 2: do you feel who do you think won this thing?
- 20:57Speaker 5: I think it's a win win, And I had that
- 20:58Speaker 5: conversation last night because listen, the Jets had to get
- 21:02Speaker 5: Aaron Rodgers. There's way too much into it. It's too
- 21:04Speaker 5: late to add some of their quarterback to your roster.
- 21:07Speaker 5: You're not going to be able to go back to
- 21:09Speaker 5: Zach Wilson, not at this stage, even though I think
- 21:11Speaker 5: that this is actually a good thing for him because
- 21:13Speaker 5: him and Rodgers have a good relationship. But he was
- 21:15Speaker 5: not ready. They were not going to have full confidence.
- 21:18Speaker 5: That media market is so hard they couldn't go back
- 21:20Speaker 5: to Zach. So what are you going to do? You
- 21:22Speaker 5: had to pay the price for the Packers. They had
- 21:24Speaker 5: been looking to get a second round pick this year,
- 21:27Speaker 5: which they did number forty two, and then they wanted
- 21:29Speaker 5: an unconditional number one in the twenty twenty four draft,
- 21:33Speaker 5: So a hard one. It became a parent in the
- 21:37Speaker 5: past few days. The Jets were just not going to
- 21:39Speaker 5: get to the hard one and so there had to
- 21:42Speaker 5: be a kicker, and what they settled on was the
- 21:44Speaker 5: thirteen to fifteen flop in the first round, So the
- 21:47Speaker 5: Packers move up two spots, and then the kickback to
- 21:50Speaker 5: the Jets was in the fifth and sixth rounds. They
- 21:53Speaker 5: flip picks there too, and the Jets move up a
- 21:55Speaker 5: bunch of spots from the sixth round to the fifth.
- 21:57Speaker 5: And these are always like, I understand what those words
- 22:00Speaker 5: are coming out of my mouth. It seems like it's
- 22:02Speaker 5: just kind of silly and why has it come down
- 22:04Speaker 5: to them? But these are complicated trades, These like legacy
- 22:08Speaker 5: making types of deals. The Packers got a substantial haul
- 22:13Speaker 5: for a player who, by his own admission, was ready
- 22:16Speaker 5: to retire before he came to the conclusion the Packers
- 22:19Speaker 5: didn't want him back, and you know, he decided to
- 22:22Speaker 5: come back. At least in part it seems like out
- 22:24Speaker 5: of spite the Jets want him. They got an offensive
- 22:27Speaker 5: coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who Aaron's really close with. They signed
- 22:30Speaker 5: one of his good buddies, Alan Lazarre, and they got
- 22:32Speaker 5: a really talented young core. So I think everybody ends
- 22:35Speaker 5: up getting what they wanted, and how Aaron Rodgers plays
- 22:39Speaker 5: in New York is going to go a long way
- 22:41Speaker 5: toward telling you what the final history is on this trade,
- 22:46Speaker 5: just like you know it may take some time, but
- 22:48Speaker 5: you know how things play out with Jordan Love and
- 22:50Speaker 5: knowing that that was kind of the butterfly effect that
- 22:52Speaker 5: trade up to draft him in twenty twenty had on
- 22:54Speaker 5: their Rodgers situation as a whole and something we'll be
- 22:57Speaker 5: tracking for years to come.
- 22:59Speaker 2: With Zach Wilson. And do you think the Jets feel
- 23:01Speaker 2: like he can learn and can still be the guy
- 23:05Speaker 2: after he does learn or is he just going to
- 23:07Speaker 2: be a backup until they get another guy once Rogers
- 23:10Speaker 2: is out in possibly two three years if he retires,
- 23:12Speaker 2: then no.
- 23:13Speaker 5: I think that's the part that got missed here was Listen,
- 23:16Speaker 5: Nathaniel Hackett is going to embrace having a project in
- 23:20Speaker 5: Zach Wilson because thatak Wilson's really talented, like in terms
- 23:23Speaker 5: of just a thrower, in terms of how he can
- 23:25Speaker 5: you move around and change his arm angle and make
- 23:27Speaker 5: things happen on you know, off schedule, off balance, off
- 23:31Speaker 5: every platform, he can do all that stuff. It's just
- 23:33Speaker 5: been the consistency. I think that Robert Solo referred to
- 23:37Speaker 5: it one time as he's got to make the layups.
- 23:38Speaker 5: It's just been like being able to execute the things
- 23:41Speaker 5: you have to do in that offense when we got
- 23:43Speaker 5: all these weapons around you. That's what saluted Zach Wilson
- 23:46Speaker 5: at this point in his career, So he grew up
- 23:48Speaker 5: idolized Aaron Rodgers. They talked at the joint practice. I
- 23:51Speaker 5: think it was last year May it was two years ago,
- 23:53Speaker 5: and you know, it was a cool moment for Zach Wilson. Well,
- 23:56Speaker 5: now they're teammates. Aaron's at a point in his career
- 23:59Speaker 5: He's not going to have a problem taking Zach under
- 24:02Speaker 5: his wing, at least to a certain degree. And again,
- 24:04Speaker 5: Hackett's going to embrace trying to develop the guy. You
- 24:07Speaker 5: hope that he's not going to have to play this year,
- 24:10Speaker 5: but god forbid, if something were to happen to Aaron Rodgers,
- 24:13Speaker 5: I think that having months of reps through the offseason
- 24:16Speaker 5: under his belt and having a little bit of time
- 24:18Speaker 5: to breathe and watch one of the best quarterbacks to
- 24:20Speaker 5: ever do it, it's all going to be a good
- 24:22Speaker 5: thing for Zach Wilson. The final book on Zach Wilson
- 24:26Speaker 5: has not yet been written. If the Jets have their way, though,
- 24:28Speaker 5: of course, there will not be a chapter in twenty
- 24:30Speaker 5: twenty three. It'll be all here out, all the time.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Well more of these before we get to the draft.
- 24:34Speaker 2: The next one up waiting in line is Lamar. What
- 24:38Speaker 2: when's that breaking? Is it going to break? What's happening?
- 24:41Speaker 2: As far as you know, well, with.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Lamar Jackson, everything has happened backwards from what you would
- 24:47Speaker 5: normally see take place here. You go back to two
- 24:52Speaker 5: years ago, and it's well documented Lamar doesn't have an age.
- 24:55Speaker 5: Lamar Jackson, former NFL MVP, in his fourth season, played
- 24:58Speaker 5: for one point seven million dollars with the Ravens. No
- 25:02Speaker 5: agent anywhere would have said you're going to play for
- 25:06Speaker 5: one point seven million. They don't want to have said we're
- 25:08Speaker 5: getting the deal done right now. People made fun of
- 25:11Speaker 5: Kyler Murray's agent, Eric burkhartt last year for the manifesto
- 25:14Speaker 5: that he put out the combine and the way that
- 25:16Speaker 5: that became a very public dispute. But guess what, Kyler
- 25:19Speaker 5: Murray a player who organizationally, it's very apparent contractually and
- 25:24Speaker 5: otherwise that they had reservations about making him the franchise
- 25:27Speaker 5: guy and paid them. They paid him at a really
- 25:30Speaker 5: high level, and then Kyler ends up tearing his acl
- 25:33Speaker 5: and you you're obviously happy at that point that you
- 25:36Speaker 5: took the money when you could get it, and you
- 25:38Speaker 5: got that. You know, the money train rolling. I understand
- 25:42Speaker 5: the push for the fully guaranteed contracts. Okay, it's it's
- 25:45Speaker 5: something that has to happen based upon individual contract. President
- 25:48Speaker 5: Deshaun Watson last year under very unique circumstances, facing serious
- 25:53Speaker 5: allegations of sexual misconduct, but also being a highly talented
- 25:57Speaker 5: player who was basically a free agent because four different
- 25:59Speaker 5: teams we're all able to bid on him and bit
- 26:02Speaker 5: against each other until Cleveland finally went, after being told
- 26:05Speaker 5: you're out, said well what if we do this. That's
- 26:08Speaker 5: how they got to Shan Watson with Lamar Jackson. Though.
- 26:12Speaker 5: The thing you have to understand is quarterback is not
- 26:15Speaker 5: a guarantees position. It is a cash flow position. And
- 26:20Speaker 5: so by playing for one point seven in twenty twenty one,
- 26:23Speaker 5: by coming back and playing for twenty three and twenty
- 26:25Speaker 5: twenty two, he's already put himself tens of millions of
- 26:29Speaker 5: dollars in the hole, and that's money that you're not
- 26:32Speaker 5: going to get back. And oh, by the way, you're
- 26:34Speaker 5: also that much further from getting back to the negotiating
- 26:37Speaker 5: table and getting to your next deal. So now you
- 26:41Speaker 5: get into twenty twenty two, they've been negotiating for months,
- 26:46Speaker 5: nothing happens. He had to plan it out in twenty
- 26:48Speaker 5: for twenty three million. Now we're into twenty twenty three,
- 26:51Speaker 5: they've got really no option but to franchise tag him.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Because Lamar, at a base level, his entire negotiating stance
- 26:59Speaker 5: has been I'm better than Deshaun Watson. I deserve a
- 27:02Speaker 5: better contract, which is understandable on an emotional level, but
- 27:07Speaker 5: that's not how contracts work. Contracts are based on a
- 27:10Speaker 5: lot of factors, including leverage, and Deshaun Watson, despite everything
- 27:14Speaker 5: that he was facing at the time, had a unique
- 27:16Speaker 5: level of leverage here. So Lamar, even before he got
- 27:19Speaker 5: franchise tagged, requested a trade, which doesn't make any sense
- 27:24Speaker 5: because the only way to trade Lamar Jackson who's about
- 27:29Speaker 5: to be franchise tagged, is if he works out a
- 27:32Speaker 5: contract with a new team. Lamar by getting the non
- 27:35Speaker 5: exclusive tender could already negotiate with all the teams and
- 27:40Speaker 5: to this point has not, to my or anyone else's knowledge,
- 27:44Speaker 5: come even close to signing an offer sheet because he's
- 27:47Speaker 5: got certain contractual demands that are not in line with
- 27:50Speaker 5: what a lot of teams can do. For one, thing
- 27:54Speaker 5: that they can afford based on their roster is composed,
- 27:56Speaker 5: but also not an area that teams want to go in.
- 27:58Speaker 5: And that's without mentioning the past two years. Lamar Jackson
- 28:01Speaker 5: got hurt toward the tail end of the season. He
- 28:03Speaker 5: is a remarkably dynamic player. He is fun to watch.
- 28:07Speaker 5: He's accomplished things that Kyler Murray had when he got
- 28:10Speaker 5: paid last year. He's won a playoff game, he's won
- 28:12Speaker 5: an MVP. But in order for anything to happen with
- 28:16Speaker 5: Lamar Jackson, step one is negotiate the contract. Lamar doesn't
- 28:21Speaker 5: have an agent. His mom's his advisor. There's a guy
- 28:24Speaker 5: named Ken Francis who's his business partner, who at one
- 28:27Speaker 5: point was contacting teams about this. None of this quite
- 28:31Speaker 5: logically fits, and that's why I also think it's difficult
- 28:34Speaker 5: to sit here and say what Lamar will do if
- 28:37Speaker 5: no offer sheet comes and you get to July and
- 28:40Speaker 5: August is he's showing up. The franchise tender is thirty
- 28:44Speaker 5: two million in change, so you're talking about two million
- 28:46Speaker 5: dollars per game. Is he going to give that up
- 28:49Speaker 5: when just a couple of years ago he was playing
- 28:50Speaker 5: for a fraction of that. I don't know. All you
- 28:54Speaker 5: can really use as your guide is his recent actions,
- 28:56Speaker 5: which is actively participating in pursuing Odell Beckham Junior to Baltimore,
- 29:03Speaker 5: continuing even after he tweeted about his trade request for
- 29:07Speaker 5: March second, continuing to negotiate that week with the Ravens.
- 29:13Speaker 5: You have to say, Lamar's preparing as if he's going
- 29:15Speaker 5: to be back in Baltimore despite what he put in
- 29:17Speaker 5: those tweets saying goodbye to everyone there. It's just it's
- 29:21Speaker 5: impossible to say exactly what direction he's going to go,
- 29:24Speaker 5: because again, logic has not really dictated his moves to
- 29:28Speaker 5: this point.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels very inconsistent to me too. I'm glad
- 29:31Speaker 2: you kind of walk through that, because it seems like
- 29:32Speaker 2: a lot of his actions were extremely inconsistent for what
- 29:35Speaker 2: he was asking, what he wanted, and what he was doing.
- 29:38Speaker 2: So I guess that's what happens when you don't have
- 29:40Speaker 2: an agent. I got a great agent. He tells me
- 29:41Speaker 2: what to do, so I guess that's the difference to
- 29:43Speaker 2: me and him. Let's talk about the draft. Let's start
- 29:46Speaker 2: with I just feel and you probably feel too, that
- 29:48Speaker 2: it's Bryce Young at one. I don't know there's much
- 29:50Speaker 2: discussion to have there, but I think two now it's starting.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I don't know is it moving a little bit? Is
- 29:57Speaker 2: a fluid where it may not be C J. Stroud
- 30:00Speaker 2: the Texans, Well, I would start.
- 30:02Speaker 5: With Bryce Young. It would be a shock to people
- 30:04Speaker 5: within the league if Bryce Young is not the number
- 30:06Speaker 5: one overall pick to Carolina. His height, his size, notwithstanding,
- 30:12Speaker 5: he checks every other box the teams look for in
- 30:15Speaker 5: a franchise quarterback. And when I talked to coaches, GMS,
- 30:18Speaker 5: other executive scouts from over twenty teams in the NFL,
- 30:22Speaker 5: almost everybody at Bryce Young is the number one quarterback.
- 30:26Speaker 5: There is question at number two, and the honest answer
- 30:29Speaker 5: is no one is entirely certain what the Texans are
- 30:32Speaker 5: going to do. About a week or so ago, there
- 30:35Speaker 5: were rampant rumors, information, whatever you want to call them,
- 30:39Speaker 5: where every GM who was calling me was saying that
- 30:42Speaker 5: they heard the Texans are not going to take a
- 30:44Speaker 5: quarterback at number two, which makes some sense because they
- 30:48Speaker 5: got Demiko Ryans. He needs really good players up front
- 30:51Speaker 5: on his defense to make his scheme go. He's a
- 30:54Speaker 5: new head coach. They might think there's only a couple
- 30:58Speaker 5: two or three, depending who's you're talking about, truly elite
- 31:02Speaker 5: defensive players in this draft. If you pass on one
- 31:04Speaker 5: to two, you're not getting one of those guys. They
- 31:07Speaker 5: also have the number twelve pick, so potentially you've got
- 31:09Speaker 5: a quarterback who falls in your lap later, or you
- 31:12Speaker 5: could even trade up from twelve. Nick Cassario, who's the GM,
- 31:16Speaker 5: has been calling around for weeks talking to teams about
- 31:20Speaker 5: different scenarios, Will moving back from two and moving up
- 31:22Speaker 5: from twelve. If I had to guess right now, my
- 31:28Speaker 5: guess would be Will Anderson would be the number two pick,
- 31:32Speaker 5: and that they would find a way to get a
- 31:34Speaker 5: quarterback of some kind elsewhere within those top whatever it
- 31:39Speaker 5: is eight, ten to twelve picks, depending if they trade
- 31:41Speaker 5: up with CJ. Stroud. I think that the conversation has
- 31:46Speaker 5: gotten skewed in part by the results of the S
- 31:51Speaker 5: two cognition test, which is this new test the team's
- 31:54Speaker 5: been giving over the past handful of years. Some teams
- 31:56Speaker 5: put a lot more stock in it than others. He
- 31:59Speaker 5: had a low score on that test. But to be clear,
- 32:02Speaker 5: it's not a intelligence test. It measures things like impulse control,
- 32:08Speaker 5: distraction control, visual learning, tracking ability, and it's basically meant to,
- 32:14Speaker 5: in part, determine how this person learns and how you
- 32:18Speaker 5: should teach them moving forward. So every coach that I
- 32:23Speaker 5: talked to that spent time with CJ. Stroud said he's
- 32:25Speaker 5: been excellent on the board. There's no processing issues on tape.
- 32:29Speaker 5: So is it just not his type of test? Is
- 32:31Speaker 5: it a red herring along the way. It's certainly something
- 32:34Speaker 5: that teams are aware of, but it's not an end
- 32:37Speaker 5: all beal with CJ. Stroud. It really comes down to
- 32:41Speaker 5: there is a bias against Ohio State quarterbacks in general
- 32:44Speaker 5: because we've seen them. Quarterbacks not asked to do a
- 32:47Speaker 5: lot in that system. But CJ. Stroud had more responsibility
- 32:50Speaker 5: in terms of checksit the line of scrimmage and things,
- 32:52Speaker 5: and a lot of other quarterbacks have had in that scheme.
- 32:55Speaker 5: He's way more polished from a passer that Justin Fields
- 32:58Speaker 5: was coming out a few years ago. He's just not
- 33:00Speaker 5: as dynamic of a runner. He's not a runner at all.
- 33:02Speaker 5: C J. Stroud. He looked at his rushing stats in college,
- 33:05Speaker 5: but he had one career rushing touchdown. You know, Sack's
- 33:08Speaker 5: count against rushing stats at the college level, but he
- 33:11Speaker 5: had like negative rushing yards for his career. He really
- 33:13Speaker 5: didn't use his legs a whole lot. There was some
- 33:16Speaker 5: frustration from scouts who would say, we know he can move,
- 33:19Speaker 5: but he's throwing the ball away instead of just running
- 33:21Speaker 5: for a first down. Sometimes. He showed him the Georgia game,
- 33:24Speaker 5: the last game of his college career, some of those
- 33:26Speaker 5: abilities and he can throw it. He's really good making
- 33:29Speaker 5: plays on the move. It's just a matter of philosophically,
- 33:32Speaker 5: do you want to have somebody who's more of a
- 33:35Speaker 5: pocket passer, because that's what CJ. Stroud is. Can you
- 33:38Speaker 5: get over the learning curve he's going to have coming
- 33:41Speaker 5: from Ohio State again, did really well in the meetings
- 33:44Speaker 5: with teams. He's a little bit guarded at times. You know,
- 33:47Speaker 5: if leadership was something he had to grow into at
- 33:49Speaker 5: Ohio State. The more time the team spent with him,
- 33:53Speaker 5: the more they liked CJ. Stroud all, which is to say,
- 33:56Speaker 5: I don't see CJ. Stroud sliding far. I don't know
- 33:59Speaker 5: that he goes number two. He well could end up
- 34:01Speaker 5: in Houston one way or another, whether it's with their
- 34:03Speaker 5: first pick or their second pick in the first round.
- 34:06Speaker 5: But sitting here right now, I would say my belief
- 34:11Speaker 5: and could be wrong, Okay, just my belief based on
- 34:13Speaker 5: talking to a lot of people around the league. I
- 34:15Speaker 5: think all four of those quarterbacks, Bryce Young, CJ. Stroud
- 34:18Speaker 5: will love us. Anthony Richardson, if I had to guess,
- 34:21Speaker 5: I would say they're all off the board in the
- 34:23Speaker 5: first twelve picks, in part because obviously there's not a
- 34:26Speaker 5: lot of quarterbacks in general, those guys tend to get
- 34:28Speaker 5: pushed up. But also there's just not a lot of
- 34:31Speaker 5: elite non quarterbacks who you could argue to push ahead
- 34:37Speaker 5: of somebody who if you believe in one of these
- 34:38Speaker 5: guys that he can be a franchise type of guy,
- 34:41Speaker 5: it's really really hard to pass up.
- 34:43Speaker 2: The Texans. You say, have that twelfth pick, and what
- 34:46Speaker 2: if what if they trade back to later in the
- 34:49Speaker 2: first but take a hand in Hooker, right, who's his injuries?
- 34:54Speaker 2: What's kind of been held against him right now more
- 34:55Speaker 2: than anything else. I mean, is that a possibility where
- 34:58Speaker 2: instead of trading up to get one of those guys
- 35:00Speaker 2: that they're bullish enough on hiding Hooker to go, we
- 35:02Speaker 2: like him enough to take him at twenty twenty one.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Well, and that's always the game, right is do you
- 35:08Speaker 5: want to take the risk if you think somebody could
- 35:10Speaker 5: be a franchise quarterback. There are times where you get
- 35:13Speaker 5: too cute with it and move back and end up
- 35:15Speaker 5: missing out on the player. And Hooker is going to
- 35:17Speaker 5: be one of the fascinating stories to me in this
- 35:20Speaker 5: entire draft because he has he tore his ACL back
- 35:23Speaker 5: in November. He's still not running full speed at this point.
- 35:25Speaker 5: He's gonna be cleared right around the start of the season,
- 35:27Speaker 5: But most teams I've talked to say, he's probably be
- 35:30Speaker 5: a pupp list guy. He's probably gonna not be practicing
- 35:32Speaker 5: through camp in the early portion of the season. Maybe
- 35:35Speaker 5: around November you kind of ramp them up, But you
- 35:36Speaker 5: have to look at this season as a red shirt
- 35:38Speaker 5: type of year. Well, if some team trades into the
- 35:41Speaker 5: first round, or in your scenario, a Houston moves back,
- 35:45Speaker 5: or somebody like Minnesota at twenty three likes him. You
- 35:48Speaker 5: by taking him in the first round, you get a
- 35:49Speaker 5: fifty year option, which for a guy who's probably not
- 35:52Speaker 5: gonna be ready to play this year, can end up
- 35:54Speaker 5: really being beneficial. He's also older, he's twenty five, believe
- 35:58Speaker 5: he turns twenty six during the season, so there's that factor.
- 36:01Speaker 5: And he comes from a Tennessee offense. The coaches I've
- 36:04Speaker 5: spoken to say is really hard to evaluate because they
- 36:08Speaker 5: run it's a version of the air raid. The receivers
- 36:11Speaker 5: line up outside the numbers on both sides. They were
- 36:14Speaker 5: using hand signals where basically Hendon Hooker, who was previously
- 36:18Speaker 5: in this really rigid scheme in Virginia Tech where everything
- 36:21Speaker 5: was like the time end of the drop ball comes
- 36:23Speaker 5: out here, this scheme is like he looks over at
- 36:25Speaker 5: you know, the fast dudes. He's got Dylan Hylott, Hyatt
- 36:28Speaker 5: and Ceda Tillman. They give him a hand signal like
- 36:30Speaker 5: I'm the receivers read the coverage, I'm going to run
- 36:33Speaker 5: this route, and then Hendon, who throws a really good
- 36:35Speaker 5: deep ball, just steps back there and rips it. It's
- 36:38Speaker 5: the same drop every time. It's nothing like an NFL system.
- 36:41Speaker 5: Things are going to be more complicated. Aptitude is not
- 36:44Speaker 5: an issue here, it's just his development is going to
- 36:47Speaker 5: be learning to play in an NFL offense where rhythm
- 36:50Speaker 5: and timing and tempo are really important. So it's a
- 36:53Speaker 5: projection less so medically than all the other stuff that
- 36:57Speaker 5: you've got to literally and a Hooker's agent may or
- 37:01Speaker 5: may not be ringing me, I'll call him back. You
- 37:04Speaker 5: have to figure out at what point are you comfortable
- 37:07Speaker 5: taking that player? And that's what you know they're going
- 37:10Speaker 5: to have to figure out.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Doesn't it benefit Hooker? And I haven't heard this, And
- 37:14Speaker 2: you may tell me I'm a big o idiot and
- 37:15Speaker 2: you should text it back and be like, I'm on
- 37:16Speaker 2: the phone with an idiot right now, or on the
- 37:18Speaker 2: zoom of an idiot. I'll call you right back. But
- 37:21Speaker 2: Hooker learning the system at Virginia Tech, Like I don't
- 37:25Speaker 2: know that when everyone says, hey, you know, he ran
- 37:27Speaker 2: the air raid under hypol at Tennessee, but he had
- 37:30Speaker 2: to learn at Virginia Tech a different style of offense
- 37:34Speaker 2: as well, like you mentioned, And that's got to be
- 37:36Speaker 2: an asset for him that I don't feel like is
- 37:39Speaker 2: being accounted for positively as much as it should. Do
- 37:44Speaker 2: you feel like that factors at all, that he's had
- 37:45Speaker 2: to learn two different systems, well, neither one.
- 37:48Speaker 5: Really bears resemblance to an NFL system. I think that certainly,
- 37:52Speaker 5: you know, the ability to pick things up quickly is important,
- 37:55Speaker 5: and also you know the leadership traits that Endon showed
- 37:58Speaker 5: once he got Tennessee, because hey tell them, player, especially
- 38:00Speaker 5: a quarterback, leaves And it was kind of under weird circumstances.
- 38:03Speaker 5: Hend Hooker's last game at Virginia Tech, he was, you know,
- 38:07Speaker 5: got like he was physically shaking on the sideline. He
- 38:10Speaker 5: said it was a medication he got for a heart procedure.
- 38:14Speaker 5: I believe it was. It was related to lingering effects
- 38:17Speaker 5: of COVID. It reactivated and he had like this this
- 38:21Speaker 5: reaction that was visible on the TV broadcast and then
- 38:24Speaker 5: did not play there again. So odd circumstances, goes to Tennessee,
- 38:28Speaker 5: immediately walked in and he was the guy in that program.
- 38:32Speaker 5: If you're betting on Hendon Hooker, it reminds me a
- 38:34Speaker 5: little bit of like Trey Lance last year, where it's
- 38:36Speaker 5: like Hendon Hooker is you're betting on the person because
- 38:41Speaker 5: he's really likeable. I spent a bunch of time around
- 38:43Speaker 5: him at the Senior Bowl. Extremely engaging. I like the
- 38:47Speaker 5: way that he talks about football. He's obviously mature, which
- 38:50Speaker 5: he should be. He's twenty five, he's you know, four
- 38:52Speaker 5: years older than some of these other dudes in the draft.
- 38:55Speaker 5: But you're betting that wast we can work with this person.
- 38:58Speaker 5: It's just a matter of again with the end the scheme,
- 39:01Speaker 5: change the age. Do you take him in the first
- 39:04Speaker 5: get that option, or are you more comfortable saying, well,
- 39:06Speaker 5: we'll take him in the second and the third where
- 39:08Speaker 5: there's a bunch of other really intriguing guys. I think
- 39:10Speaker 5: in this draft too, with that position once you get
- 39:13Speaker 5: it later in those rounds. I mean, Jake Hayner from
- 39:15Speaker 5: Fresno State helped himself as much as any quarterback during
- 39:18Speaker 5: the pre draft process. Senior Bowl MVP, another guy spent
- 39:21Speaker 5: a lot of time around. Good dude, Really interesting, super confident.
- 39:25Speaker 5: You know, he's been told his whole life, if you
- 39:27Speaker 5: were two inches taller, you know, we'd recruit you, We'd
- 39:29Speaker 5: give you all these opportunities. So major chip on his shoulder.
- 39:32Speaker 5: He got some rock Party comparisons. When I was talking
- 39:34Speaker 5: to people, one person compared him to Drew Brees as
- 39:37Speaker 5: well in terms of seize it ball comes out quickly.
- 39:40Speaker 5: That's a trait that everybody's looking for.
- 39:41Speaker 2: All Right, two quick questions, Then you got to handle
- 39:43Speaker 2: your business for sure. Derrick Henry, what's the deal you're
- 39:47Speaker 2: gonna get traded? If we went closer to the draft?
- 39:49Speaker 2: Does he end up in Tennessee again?
- 39:51Speaker 5: Well, Ran carthon the Titans GM said yesterday he's not
- 39:54Speaker 5: received any calls on Derrick Henry. Derrick Henry, you know,
- 39:59Speaker 5: obviously a fantastic player, two thousand yard rusher, one of
- 40:03Speaker 5: the tone setters in the league. He's also a running
- 40:06Speaker 5: back who's getting older. I think he's twenty eight. He's
- 40:08Speaker 5: had a couple of injuries in recent years, and you really,
- 40:11Speaker 5: if you're going to have him as the focal point
- 40:13Speaker 5: of your offense, you got to commit to play in
- 40:15Speaker 5: a certain style of football. There's not a lot of
- 40:17Speaker 5: teams that play the type of physical, smash mouth attack
- 40:21Speaker 5: that Tennessee does. That's not to say that if you're
- 40:24Speaker 5: Philadelphia and you lost Miles Sanders in free agency, if
- 40:29Speaker 5: you're Buffalo and you're trying to figure out how your
- 40:32Speaker 5: backfield fits together. I mean, I could see the argument
- 40:35Speaker 5: for bringing him in, but it's a matter of what
- 40:37Speaker 5: type of price are you willing to pay? And then
- 40:39Speaker 5: in turn are the Titans willing to give up the
- 40:42Speaker 5: player for that price. It's a lot of moving parts.
- 40:44Speaker 5: We start a couple of days till the draft. You
- 40:47Speaker 5: would presume that Derek Henry's contract, even though it's not
- 40:50Speaker 5: off the charts by any stretch relative to the running
- 40:52Speaker 5: back market right now, but you would think any team
- 40:54Speaker 5: trading form will want to touch that contract, So over
- 40:57Speaker 5: the next couple of days here that part of it
- 40:59Speaker 5: would have to run up in order for him to
- 41:01Speaker 5: be dealt.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Last question, what's the best situation team wise for Anthony
- 41:06Speaker 2: Richardson to land? Is it the Raiders because they got
- 41:09Speaker 2: a guy and Jimmy g If you were Anthony Richardson,
- 41:13Speaker 2: where do you want to be?
- 41:14Speaker 5: Well, if I'm Anthony Richardson, I do want someplace I'm
- 41:16Speaker 5: going to get a chance to develop. But I had
- 41:18Speaker 5: one GM tell me recently. You know, if you're taking
- 41:21Speaker 5: him somewhere in the top five, top ten picks, you're
- 41:24Speaker 5: talking about thirty to thirty five million dollars for this
- 41:27Speaker 5: guy with totally rare tools. You're going to find a
- 41:30Speaker 5: way for him to be on the field. Anthony Richardson,
- 41:32Speaker 5: he may not be a starting quarterback and probably shouldn't
- 41:35Speaker 5: be a starting quarterback, even though coaches and scouts stay.
- 41:38Speaker 5: There's more on tape in terms of his pocket, presence,
- 41:40Speaker 5: processing all that stuff. And he did really well in
- 41:43Speaker 5: his interviews too. He surprised some people because he's played
- 41:45Speaker 5: so little football, surprised people with how much football he
- 41:48Speaker 5: knows in meetings. I wouldn't be surprised at all if
- 41:51Speaker 5: Anthony Richardson is playing in some capacity this season somewhere,
- 41:56Speaker 5: I could see an argument to go into a Seattle
- 41:59Speaker 5: where you've got Genos there and his deal. Even though
- 42:01Speaker 5: it's a I think it's a three year deal, it's
- 42:03Speaker 5: really a one year, like eighteen million dollar deal. So
- 42:06Speaker 5: potentially you could turn to Anthony Richardson in twenty twenty four.
- 42:09Speaker 5: But they're drafted at number five. It's a thirty five
- 42:11Speaker 5: million dollar bet on a guy who started thirteen college games.
- 42:16Speaker 5: He could fifty five percent of his passes. You know,
- 42:18Speaker 5: you get a little bit deeper into those picks. The
- 42:21Speaker 5: Lions they got Jared Goff, they like them a lot.
- 42:23Speaker 5: That could be another good spot for an Anthony Richardson
- 42:26Speaker 5: the Raiders. That's going to be interesting because even though yes,
- 42:30Speaker 5: you know they got Jimmy Garoppolo, they pat him in
- 42:33Speaker 5: such a way that he's really locked as the starter
- 42:35Speaker 5: for two years. When you do that and you make
- 42:37Speaker 5: that level of commitment, it's hard to say we're then
- 42:39Speaker 5: going to come back and use our top draft pick
- 42:42Speaker 5: on the guy to play three years from now. So
- 42:46Speaker 5: that one would surprise me a little bit. Tennessee Ryan Tannehill.
- 42:50Speaker 5: You know, basically he's in a situation where he's do
- 42:52Speaker 5: like twenty eight million I think this year and has
- 42:54Speaker 5: no guarantees left. That could be a good spot there.
- 42:57Speaker 5: There's a bunch of different places, you know, even Minnesota
- 43:00Speaker 5: with Kirk Cousins. Now they're all the way down to
- 43:01Speaker 5: twenty three. I think it's hard to believe that they're
- 43:04Speaker 5: going to give up the type of capital it would
- 43:05Speaker 5: take the vault all the way up into the top twelve.
- 43:07Speaker 5: But rule nothing out Quasiandolfo Mens has showed in his
- 43:10Speaker 5: first draft he's not afraid to do things in sometimes
- 43:14Speaker 5: an unorthodox fashion. Richardson is gonna be one of the
- 43:17Speaker 5: really interesting stories. I think in this entire draft, Will
- 43:20Speaker 5: Lovis probably goes higher than what everybody was thinking. CJ.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Strout probably goes right about where everybody was thinking. Anthony Richardson,
- 43:27Speaker 5: you've got more variants. Just because there's a projection here.
- 43:31Speaker 5: You're not going to be able to answer the questions
- 43:33Speaker 5: you have about him prior to the draft. You're betting
- 43:36Speaker 5: again on the person and the raw athletic skill set.
- 43:40Speaker 5: At what point are you comfortable doing that? That's what
- 43:43Speaker 5: we're going to find out on Thursday night.
- 43:44Speaker 2: You heard it here. Tom Pella saiter I said Anthony
- 43:46Speaker 2: Richmond will play fullback for the Lions next year. That's right,
- 43:49Speaker 2: I heard it here.
- 43:50Speaker 5: First.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Hey Tom, you're the best man. I watched listen, we
- 43:53Speaker 2: have everybody on. I think you're the best at what
- 43:55Speaker 2: you do. So congrats on really like you've launched into
- 44:00Speaker 2: being in that premiere tier man. So big fan you guys,
- 44:03Speaker 2: follow Tom at, Tom Pelsero on all of it, Twitter,

- 44:08Speaker 2: really appreciate the time that you gave us today.
- 44:09Speaker 5: Oh thanks a lot for having me on.
- 44:10Speaker 2: This is fun see it Tom. Thanks Tom. It's awesome.
- 44:17Speaker 2: It's like it I'm just like a kid kid in
- 44:20Speaker 2: a candy store with all the candy being chocolate and
- 44:23Speaker 2: no peanut butter. That's the kind of candy I like.
- 44:26Speaker 7: Even as a guy that doesn't really have a team,
- 44:27Speaker 7: you're still getting excited.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it. I love it especially for somebody
- 44:33Speaker 2: that watch all the time. Like, there are a few
- 44:34Speaker 2: of those guys that I really value what they have
- 44:36Speaker 2: to say. Some of them, I feel like they just
- 44:37Speaker 2: say a lot of things loud, and if they can
- 44:39Speaker 2: say it loud enough, it'll get him a little attention.
- 44:42Speaker 2: But like Peli Saia is one of those guys where
- 44:43Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm in, Yeah, you're telling me, I'm gonna listen. Also,
- 44:48Speaker 2: I know things are fluid. You think there's any chance though,
- 44:50Speaker 2: Will Levis goes number one?
- 44:53Speaker 5: Do I?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 44:54Speaker 5: No?
- 44:54Speaker 2: You know that started to be the thing Reddit. Yeah,
- 44:58Speaker 2: somebody just posted he's been telling everybody's going and then
- 45:01Speaker 2: all of a sudden, the line starts to move. He
- 45:03Speaker 2: goes from ten to one to four to one. Crazy,
- 45:05Speaker 2: what is it right now? Can you pull that up?
- 45:07Speaker 2: I'm going to do DraftKings. If you'll look at that,

- 46:25Speaker 2: at the whole thing?
- 46:26Speaker 1: No?
- 46:26Speaker 7: Just number one draft pick is what I'm looking at.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Okay, because there's a thing you can click on my
- 46:31Speaker 2: draftking set code Bobby sports that it's just all those
- 46:36Speaker 2: position type bets like who goes number one, who goes
- 46:38Speaker 2: number two? And it's not who's the number two best player,
- 46:42Speaker 2: it's literally who's going to go number two? As in
- 46:44Speaker 2: odds are I think last time I looked, Will Anderson
- 46:48Speaker 2: was the favorite to go number two. But I will
- 46:49Speaker 2: pull all this up in just a second and we'll
- 46:51Speaker 2: roll through it. First, Aaron Rodgers to the super Bowl.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Those betting odds are up. My friend who was on
- 46:58Speaker 2: with us earlier Mike signed and who's been accused of
- 47:01Speaker 2: I don't want to say it, but Mike Science has
- 47:04Speaker 2: been accused of milk on the clock and Madden. That guy.
- 47:08Speaker 2: He was like, Aaron Rodgers is not the top five
- 47:11Speaker 2: quarterback texted me yesterday. We had the whole debate on
- 47:13Speaker 2: who was Yeah, he's like Lamar Jackson, and I said,
- 47:17Speaker 2: I understand that, and I was just trying to be
- 47:20Speaker 2: nice about it. I was like, I get it, you
- 47:21Speaker 2: could put any of those guys at four or five, six,
- 47:23Speaker 2: But if I had one player for one team next year,
- 47:27Speaker 2: not career next year, that's what I said. I would
- 47:30Speaker 2: take Aaron Rodgers over Lamar Jackson.
- 47:32Speaker 7: Yeah, one thousand per.
- 47:34Speaker 2: He acted like it was the dumbest thing you ever heard,
- 47:36Speaker 2: and I was like, that's why you don't have sports.
- 47:37Speaker 7: Show, but exactly, that's why you're playing Madden.
- 47:39Speaker 2: That's why you But I also respected what he had
- 47:43Speaker 2: to say. And if you were to really argue that
- 47:45Speaker 2: in the points, because Rogers's former MVP. Sure, and then
- 47:50Speaker 2: Rogers hurt himself is he gets his hands hurt last
- 47:52Speaker 2: year Pinky whatever, thown whatever that was almost got him
- 47:55Speaker 2: to the playoffs. But it was like, well Rogers was hurt.
- 47:58Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, Lamar Jackson d her last two seasons,
- 48:01Speaker 2: but Lamar's want an MVP, Rogers want an MVP. I
- 48:03Speaker 2: would just take Rogers next season over Lamar next season
- 48:06Speaker 2: if I had to one quarterback. Yes, the Chiefs have
- 48:09Speaker 2: jumped up to basically fifth, sixth whenever it comes to
- 48:13Speaker 2: the Super Bowl odds, Kansas City at number one plus
- 48:16Speaker 2: six hundred, the forty nine Ers at number two plus
- 48:19Speaker 2: seven hundred. So you got AFC NFC there, the Eagles
- 48:21Speaker 2: plus seven fifty, the Bengals and the Bills plus eight fifty,
- 48:27Speaker 2: and then they're the Jets, the Jets and the Cowboys
- 48:32Speaker 2: Cowboys still. Yeah, I don't know, man, Mike, what do
- 48:36Speaker 2: you think? Wow? How about them Cowboys? Eddie jumped in
- 48:40Speaker 2: a churse with that, Mike. What do you think, Buddy?
- 48:43Speaker 5: I like it?
- 48:44Speaker 2: You think the Cowboys? I mean it's the same, it's
- 48:46Speaker 2: the same, except without Chultz.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Zeke.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, it just feels like the same. Yeah, what's what, Mike?
- 48:54Speaker 2: Is gonna make the Cowboys different next year than they
- 48:56Speaker 2: were this year?
- 48:57Speaker 8: I wou guy rid of everybody over, get rid of
- 49:01Speaker 8: the Yeah, Dak, just start over.
- 49:03Speaker 7: I like that.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Draft position, Anthony Richardson. They have him over under seven
- 49:10Speaker 2: point five. I feel like I would take the over
- 49:13Speaker 2: if I were betting it, because I feel like he
- 49:15Speaker 2: falls to at least eight, right.
- 49:18Speaker 7: Yeah, that if he gets out of the first two
- 49:20Speaker 7: or three, you're like, uh, then he just keeps on
- 49:22Speaker 7: falling a little bit.
- 49:24Speaker 2: But he's not going to be drafted two. He's not
- 49:32Speaker 2: going to be drafted at a strout. I don't think
- 49:36Speaker 2: I would take that over eight with Anthony Richardson.
- 49:41Speaker 7: So the number two draft pick is Tyree Wilson Texas
- 49:45Speaker 7: Tech Dan at plus one.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Thirty over Will Anderson.
- 49:51Speaker 7: Yeah, Will Anderson's plus plus two seventy five. So plus
- 49:55Speaker 7: one thirty and plus two seventy five Will Levis is
- 49:57Speaker 7: plus one fifty. You said a lot of numbers there, Yeah,
- 50:01Speaker 7: So Tyre Wilson, Will Levis and then Will Anderson.
- 50:05Speaker 2: And for the number two tick, Yeah, pick number number. Okay,
- 50:10Speaker 2: here we go online. Yeah, it's Tyree will Lewis, Will Anderson,
- 50:14Speaker 2: c J. Strout for the number two pick spot. They're
- 50:16Speaker 2: also a factoring on what the team is too right
- 50:17Speaker 2: with the team needs the number three pick. The odds
- 50:21Speaker 2: is Paris Johnson, the lineman, number four pick, Will Levis.
- 50:28Speaker 2: That four pick is the Colts, right yeah, memory here
- 50:33Speaker 2: the number five pick Jalen Carter, the number six pick,
- 50:36Speaker 2: Devin Witherspoon, number seven, what's up? Number seven pick Christian Gonzales,
- 50:43Speaker 2: the number eight pick b John Robinson. These are the
- 50:45Speaker 2: favorites here. I don't see. Yeah, I definitely would take
- 50:49Speaker 2: the over seven and a half because all they have
- 50:52Speaker 2: here is up until the tenth pick. I somebody you
- 50:56Speaker 2: have to trade up. They want the quarterback though Anthony
- 50:59Speaker 2: Richinson's plus twenty five, you mayne the ninth draft pick,
- 51:02Speaker 2: so I would take that. I'll go right now. Listen,
- 51:04Speaker 2: you want to you wanna pinky promise, I'll pinky promise
- 51:07Speaker 2: you that Anthony Richardson is gonna go over seven point five.
- 51:12Speaker 2: I'm gonna bet it right now, do it. I don't
- 51:15Speaker 2: have any money in my account. I cash oft completely
- 51:17Speaker 2: because I don't want to bet on a bunch of
- 51:18Speaker 2: stuff right now that I'm not passionate about. Like I
- 51:22Speaker 2: told you, I don't know anything about the NBA as
- 51:24Speaker 2: far as betting goes. I bet that like about the
- 51:25Speaker 2: NFL terribly love it. Watch it. I got like thirty
- 51:29Speaker 2: bucks on my account, I guess, but you know, what
- 51:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna do right now, I'm gonna put money in
- 51:32Speaker 2: my account. Let's go deposit. I'm gonna do get ready
- 51:38Speaker 2: for it and put five hundred bucks in what and
- 51:42Speaker 2: I know my codes, which is probably not good. Like
- 51:46Speaker 2: I know all my numbers, my credit card? Okay, check check,
- 51:49Speaker 2: it's a check card. Okay, I got five hundred bucks
- 51:52Speaker 2: in boom. This is gonna suck if I missed.
- 51:57Speaker 7: I never wanted the root for got to fall so hard?
- 52:00Speaker 2: Okay. Anthony Richardson minus one fifteen over seven and a half.
- 52:08Speaker 2: That means eight or more, right, I'm just making sure
- 52:11Speaker 2: you're right.
- 52:11Speaker 7: Yeah, So you's got to get past the Raiders at seven?
- 52:14Speaker 2: Oh that Raiders go.
- 52:17Speaker 7: That's really gets you?
- 52:19Speaker 2: Oh no, why my second guessing myself? Hold on, hold on,
- 52:28Speaker 2: let me go back and look at that pick again,
- 52:31Speaker 2: because if I go back to Gaborne draft pick, So
- 52:34Speaker 2: the Raiders are at seven, right, Yes, they have Christian
- 52:37Speaker 2: Gonzales as the favorite to be that pick at seven.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Anthony Richdon's plus one thousand there, Why do they not
- 52:52Speaker 2: think he's going to the Raiders? Screw it? Five hundred
- 52:55Speaker 2: bucks over seven and a half. Five hundred bucks there
- 53:01Speaker 2: it is Bett placed. I don't want to tell you
- 53:04Speaker 2: to do something pinky promise you and not do it myself,
- 53:06Speaker 2: because if I believe in the pinky promise, I'm doing
- 53:08Speaker 2: it too. I wish I were tonight though. Now I
- 53:13Speaker 2: just gotta sit on it. Oh crap. Titans got seven
- 53:22Speaker 2: or sixty million bucks in Nashville City bonds for a
- 53:24Speaker 2: new stadium. The new building looks pretty cool. I just
- 53:27Speaker 2: all a drawing of it.
- 53:28Speaker 7: Does it look cool?
- 53:29Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 53:30Speaker 2: It looks facey like the Jetsons. I don't know that
- 53:31Speaker 2: I would want to live in it.
- 53:32Speaker 7: I think it looks kind of late.
- 53:33Speaker 2: It is. It's like glass. I mean, it just like
- 53:36Speaker 2: a lot of sea through stuff. Right.
- 53:37Speaker 8: Yeah, it just looks like what it looks like downtown Like.
- 53:39Speaker 8: I don't want to go see a football game there.
- 53:41Speaker 8: It was shopping.
- 53:43Speaker 2: It does look like a mole, it does. But I
- 53:46Speaker 2: don't know.
- 53:46Speaker 5: I liked it.
- 53:47Speaker 2: I thought it was pretty cool. Maybe I'm just maybe
- 53:48Speaker 2: just think it's cool to get a new stadium because
- 53:50Speaker 2: it's cold. The reason I'll go to games in winter here,
- 53:53Speaker 2: it's cold. It sucks. Which I'll drive by the stadium
- 53:56Speaker 2: if I'm driving by and there's a game happening at
- 53:58Speaker 2: like three. If I'm going somewhere and it's freezing freaking cold,
- 54:01Speaker 2: I'm like, I would never go to a game cold
- 54:03Speaker 2: like that.
- 54:04Speaker 7: And that wind can pick up here, so let's do
- 54:06Speaker 7: it inside.
- 54:07Speaker 8: Yeah, I went to that Cowboys game. It was cold
- 54:08Speaker 8: and rainy, so maybe you know something there.
- 54:10Speaker 2: A teen's testicle slings inside his body after bending down
- 54:13Speaker 2: to grab a golf ball. A teen, you're sent one
- 54:17Speaker 2: of his testical slinging inside his body. Slinging that's the
- 54:19Speaker 2: word i'd use. How long does it hang? It's got
- 54:24Speaker 2: to hang pretty low to sling, you know, To to
- 54:27Speaker 2: to swing, there's got to be some length in. Otherwise
- 54:34Speaker 2: it's you just hanging a little, but to swing up
- 54:36Speaker 2: with such force. The sixteen year old from Utah developed
- 54:40Speaker 2: a sudden pain and is groin after leaning over to
- 54:42Speaker 2: a tree of a golf ball. After a quick inspection,
- 54:44Speaker 2: he noticed his left testical had vanished. That's a pretty
- 54:48Speaker 2: quick inspection.
- 54:49Speaker 5: I know.
- 54:49Speaker 2: I'd inspect that quick if it hurts, and I'm probably
- 54:52Speaker 2: gonna look immediately. But sometimes one of my nuts go
- 54:55Speaker 2: into my Like I said to the thing, I only
- 54:58Speaker 2: have one ball, do you guys ever? Do that.
- 55:01Speaker 7: It happens, I do not well, it feels like it goes.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Up in you. No, no, no, I swear to you.
- 55:08Speaker 2: There are times where I I'm like, why does it
- 55:10Speaker 2: only feel like I have one nut and I feel
- 55:13Speaker 2: it and I don't know if there's like a treehouse
- 55:17Speaker 2: or something that stays in But sometimes in the morning,
- 55:20Speaker 2: especially because you know, Ninja has always heard and push
- 55:22Speaker 2: their stuff into their into it so they eliminate vulnerabilities.
- 55:27Speaker 9: I've definitely had it happen before. Yeah, not both nuts.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Just no. I never I don't know that it's slung
- 55:32Speaker 2: up like this kick because this one sounds bad. Mine
- 55:34Speaker 2: never hurts. But I'm like, something's up, like just randomly,
- 55:38Speaker 2: just like there's just one in the pack. It's like
- 55:42Speaker 2: you open the back of double mint and there's just
- 55:44Speaker 2: one piece in there.
- 55:45Speaker 7: Do you ever get scared as you're going to check?
- 55:47Speaker 2: Sometimes I think it's hiding. So no, I've never been
- 55:50Speaker 2: scared because it always comes back, you know. It's what's
- 55:53Speaker 2: a good dog. It may get out, but it's gonna
- 55:56Speaker 2: come back.
- 55:57Speaker 10: I've got nervous before. Yeah, yeah, freak me out a
- 56:01Speaker 10: little bit. First time it happened.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Doctors performed a set scan to his old rabbit have
- 56:04Speaker 2: found his left testicle attact, but definitely not where it
- 56:06Speaker 2: was supposed to be hidden higher up in his canal
- 56:09Speaker 2: running from his scrotum. Checking the boys' medical history, they
- 56:11Speaker 2: saw he was diagnosed with a rectile left testes. That's
- 56:14Speaker 2: not even the word. A retractile left testes. I don't
- 56:17Speaker 2: know what that is. At age eleven, I.
- 56:19Speaker 7: Think I have a retractile left test ees too, same one.
- 56:23Speaker 2: Hold on, it's always shows, it's well, they both feel
- 56:29Speaker 2: like they're there right now. It's always a left one
- 56:31Speaker 2: though mine's too. I think I have the same disease.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Medics performed a keyhole surgery on the area. He just
- 56:36Speaker 2: needed to wait like an hour or take a bath.
- 56:38Speaker 2: If you ask me, that's what works for me.
- 56:40Speaker 7: Now, if you could do that on command, that would
- 56:41Speaker 7: be impressive.
- 56:42Speaker 2: Ninjas, they could shove it up in them retract One
- 56:44Speaker 2: can't kick them in the nuts because their nuts are
- 56:45Speaker 2: nowhere to be found. I don't even know if there
- 56:48Speaker 2: are such things as ninjas or if real ninjas can
- 56:50Speaker 2: do this, Like we're talking about a movie. I'll be honest,
- 56:52Speaker 2: I don't even know if ninja ninjas are real, like
- 56:54Speaker 2: I see them. But if so, I think they can
- 56:56Speaker 2: hi their penis and and ball because if you can
- 57:02Speaker 2: kick a minute, that's a vulnerable place, so they hide that.
- 57:05Speaker 2: They train themselves to push it up in them. That's
- 57:10Speaker 2: not really something i'd want on YouTube learn how to
- 57:13Speaker 2: do it. I would know I was you gotta start young.
- 57:17Speaker 2: I think I would probably google it to see if
- 57:19Speaker 2: it was true, But I don't know that i'd want
- 57:21Speaker 2: to see it. But I for sure have lost the testicle.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Sometimes this is the grast and worst East drag icon
- 57:26Speaker 2: of all time. You're like, what the word is it?
- 57:29Speaker 2: Oh my god? But it's happened three four times. I
- 57:32Speaker 2: mean more I've been it's happened twenty times, but three
- 57:35Speaker 2: or four I'm like it like scares me that. You
- 57:37Speaker 2: know what else scares me? When now I wear swimming trunks,
- 57:41Speaker 2: because there have been more than one time that I've
- 57:43Speaker 2: been like, what like secret? Because you know those trunks
- 57:46Speaker 2: have lining in them? Yeah, and I forget that. I
- 57:49Speaker 2: take my underwe off, put the lining on, and I
- 57:51Speaker 2: know more than once I've been like, oh my god,
- 57:53Speaker 2: am I wearing panties? Then I put something on like
- 57:55Speaker 2: some weird panty underwear on. Didn't realize it, and I'm
- 57:57Speaker 2: like what, And I don't realize it's the lining in
- 57:59Speaker 2: the and I think for some reason I've put on
- 58:01Speaker 2: girl underwear. Do you ever think that?
- 58:04Speaker 7: I mean, I'd never really wear the lining. Those linings
- 58:06Speaker 7: are uncomfortable. I don't know how you wear those well.
- 58:08Speaker 2: I usually think somehow I've snuck in and put on
- 58:10Speaker 2: a pair of my wife's panties, or I'm like what,
- 58:12Speaker 2: And I'm always like, oh my god, I see that.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Just for a second, Mike, what you find.
- 58:15Speaker 8: I'm saying this may be a myth, and it may
- 58:17Speaker 8: have been about Suma wrestlers.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna stuck with Ninjas wrestlers because I don't
- 58:23Speaker 2: even know if ninjas are real either, And if it's
- 58:25Speaker 2: all fictional, it kind of works together, you know. Let
- 58:29Speaker 2: me tell you this. The Suns are dangerous. They've been dangerous.
- 58:34Speaker 2: I think they're dangerous again. There's a little minute where
- 58:36Speaker 2: but it was like, Okay, they haven't played together much.
- 58:39Speaker 2: They are playing way too many minutes. I think I
- 58:41Speaker 2: even said that. But the Sons are advancing around too.
- 58:44Speaker 2: I think they needed to win early to have a
- 58:46Speaker 2: little rest because Durant Booker played so many minutes. I'm
- 58:50Speaker 2: gonna tell you one more thing. Last night, I'm watching
- 58:52Speaker 2: the game. I'm watching the Hawks and the Celtics some
- 58:54Speaker 2: of it. I watched some of the first, most of
- 58:58Speaker 2: the second, some of the third. I turned it off.
- 59:01Speaker 2: I turned it off in the fourth. Hey ballgame, Celtics win.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Celtics moving on. That's it. I go to bed kind
- 59:08Speaker 2: of early last night for me. I get on my
- 59:10Speaker 2: phone just to check because I was looking. I want
- 59:14Speaker 2: to see the Nuggets Timberwolve score. I wanted to and
- 59:17Speaker 2: I think that my phone hasn't updated because it had
- 59:20Speaker 2: the Hawks winning, and I was like, What's what's happening here?
- 59:22Speaker 2: And then I realized after I turned it off the
- 59:25Speaker 2: freaking Hawks came back and won. I missed the whole thing.
- 59:28Speaker 2: And you, being a Celtics fan, what in the I've
- 59:30Speaker 2: seen clips now, but what happened to you as you're
- 59:32Speaker 2: watching it.
- 59:33Speaker 7: So we talked about Ime Udoka yesterday and how Joe
- 59:37Speaker 7: Missoula is still very new to this whole coaching thing
- 59:40Speaker 7: and it's been a controversy all year. Pretty much late
- 59:42Speaker 7: in games, he doesn't really make the right calls or
- 59:44Speaker 7: non calls. Hawks going a fourteen to two run. As
- 59:47Speaker 7: they're going on this run, maybe they go out on
- 59:49Speaker 7: an eight to zero run. You got to call time out,
- 59:51Speaker 7: stop the bleeding. Let's end this right here, get our
- 59:53Speaker 7: guys together, let's get back refocused and end it. Doesn't
- 59:56Speaker 7: do that. Trey Young goes off I think for sixteen
- 59:58Speaker 7: in the fourth quarter, does don't really make any adjustments,
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: and you kind of just watches me sitting on the
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: couch watching this. I was like, oh man, this is
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: going it's gonna happen. They're gonna come back and they're
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: gonna win. You just slowly watched it and you knew
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: he was gonna hit a jumper to win it, and
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: that's what ended up happening.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: Trey Young thirty eight points, hit three pointer from beyond
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: the top of the key with about three seconds left,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: and they beat the Celtics. I can't believe it. I'm
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: just reading it because I didn't see it until I
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: got on and watched clips this morning.
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: Rough.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Yeah, luckily it's three to two. There's just there's no
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: way they lose this series. No, And Trey Young has
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: about one really good game in him, right, I mean
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Trey young to me, but the players voted him must
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: override a player in the NBA fifty. Yeah, he's always
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: got about one big game where then he gets a
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: whole onto that for a long time, people remember him
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: for that. There's no way, I'm telling you, there's.
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: No way they hit nineteen threes.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that can't happen. Series goes back to Atlanta, Boston
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: up three two, they win it next game, Yep, the
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Bucks any chance, of course, the chance, but I feel
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: like they're Yeah, they're down three to one, but the
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Bucks for sure are gonna win this series against Miami. Right.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: The league's gotta keep you honest in the series.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: They're for sure winning tonight eleven and a half point favorite.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: That's wild. Yeah, after they just lost.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: Yeah, I think they'll win with East and I don't
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: know about eleven and a half. That's a lot.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: I bet you Butler goes like four for twenty six
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: or something. For sure, Like he's really feeling himself and
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: he is awesome, but sometimes you fill yourself too much,
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: so you go a little too hard. But if Butler
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: is able to get the heat through just to the
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: next round, you gotta give him you gotta give him
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: some better weapons to play with, or he needs to
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: get out and get somewhere else because his prime is
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: gonna run out.
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: And then him against MBT against Sixers, possibly in the
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: Eastern Conference finals.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: That would be fun.
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: Fun.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: It would be fun because the Celtics would be out.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: So yeah, who cares. We want here's what we want.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: We want the Bucks, we want the Celtics. We want
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: the Sixers win them all to be in the next round. Yeah,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: because that's what we want to see. We want to
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: see himb we want to see Tatum, we want to
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: see Yannis. NBA is a star league. I do not
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: want to see Trey Young.
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: Like as soon as Kawhi went out for the Clippers,
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: I was like, I don't really care about the series anymore.
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: You knew the Sons were gonna win it.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Nuggets Lemon at the Timberwolves, we knew that was coming. Hey,
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: they fought Timberwolves, fought on twelve one oh nine. Yeah,
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: it would be cool if, like the Heat, if they
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: were to win. It would be cool though, because you
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: see a team come from the play in tournament actually
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: do something where in baseball they do a lot of
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: time the team that's the hottest, the wildcard team they're in.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: They play well, sometimes they win the freaking World Series.
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the Nationals. A few years ago.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: The Lakers, although I'm not just gonna buy the Lakers
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: as a playing team. They were a hurt team all year,
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: an old team all year. They always were going to
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: probably I'm surprised they're not even higher, but they're hurt
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: all year. So that's what's up. I think that's it.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Anything you want to say, no, that's it. Can't wait
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: for tomorrow night. Cellthing's bounce backroot for you. I'm moot
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: for you there, I moove for me my five hundred
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: dollar back. Yes that too, Anthony rich and we need
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: him to go eight or more? Oh my god, why
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: did I pinky promise? I'm giving it to you, pinky promise.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: All right, let's go final thought, Mike, real quick, let's
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: go to read, first read, run a video. How's it
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: going for you, by the way, feel you're getting better at.
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: I'm getting a lot better.
- 1:03:25Speaker 10: Absolutely, yeah, I'm able to focus a lot more, but
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: it's it's getting better.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Eddie does that during the show with everybody. I don't
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: know how I and he's also on the air the
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: whole time. Yeah, that's nuts. I don't know how I
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: speaking of what a show nuts nuts A lot of
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: nuts read go ahead.
- 1:03:43Speaker 10: Oh so this has nothing to do with sports. But
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: my girlfriend, she's actually in medical school, and she told
- 1:03:48Speaker 10: me about this yesterday. They do these things called practicals
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: where basically they learned these things and then they go
- 1:03:55Speaker 10: in and then they actually do them. She told me
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: that there is a group of people that go through
- 1:03:59Speaker 10: different college and right now she's learning about rectal exams
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: and they have to go in and line up the
- 1:04:06Speaker 10: students do and go in and it's the same group
- 1:04:09Speaker 10: of like dudes and like a dude and a girl
- 1:04:11Speaker 10: that have to get the rectal exam and they go
- 1:04:14Speaker 10: to different colleges and they get like forty rectal exams
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: a day.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: So those two people are just driving around getting their
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: butts checked pretty much.
- 1:04:23Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: So if Mike and I wanted to volunteer for this,
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Mike and I would get in a car. We go
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: over to ut Knoxville, get a finger in the butt,
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: drive over to Memphis, get a finger in the bus.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Just Mike and I though going to all the college.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: We're known as the rectal too.
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: Just the normal weekend.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: That's our tac tim. Yeah, we're the butthole Brothers all right,
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: the Buntle Brothers are coming in three o'clock today. And
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: so do they get paid, Uh?
- 1:04:46Speaker 10: Yeah, they get paid. Like man, God bless them. I
- 1:04:48Speaker 10: don't know how they do that. And they're teaching while
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: they're doing it. So like Maddie, and when.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: The Buttole Brothers aren't teaching the we're called them the buttthole Brothers.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: They're not teaching. They're they're just their buttholes. They're not teachers.
- 1:04:57Speaker 9: They're teaching while it's going on.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: So somebody else is teaching the students while they're looking
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: at the butthole.
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: No, they're literally in the room.
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: It's literally like you like me, and you would walk
- 1:05:07Speaker 10: into a room, yes, and there's a guy that's teaching
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: it and he will literally like go spread eagle and.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Be teacher's butthole.
- 1:05:14Speaker 10: Literally yeah, So it's like it's not an actual teacher.
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: It's like they go to different schools and they're like
- 1:05:19Speaker 10: the ones that teach it, but also are the ones
- 1:05:21Speaker 10: that get it. So I'm just like, man, I don't
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: I don't understand.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: I just want somebody else to do it while I
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: taught it. If I either I don't want I don't
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: want to teach it that, but if I did teach it,
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I want somebody else to do it. Yeah, Because how
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: do you even look at your butthole from the just
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: the general anatomy of it. I've never actually seen my butthole,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: I don't think up close.
- 1:05:41Speaker 9: It blew my mind. I had to share it, so
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: it's like, yeah, good luck Mattie today.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: What a show? Yeah, Kevin, how.
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: Do I follow that up? Don't nuts and butts?
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: Well, I'm actually going to follow it up with Will Ferrell.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: I don't know if you guys have seen. He's going
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: to come out with a new series where he's going
- 1:05:56Speaker 7: to play a professional golfer who becomes a face of
- 1:05:58Speaker 7: a controversial new league competing with the PGA, kind of
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: mimicking live but the comedic aspect to it.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: That'd be funny.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: I think it's gonna be good.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Mine's gonna be about wrestling where I'm being fed
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: on my TikTok all these old nineties wrestling doc you
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: videos mostly where they're talking about behind the scenes. That's
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: my new I will sit there for four minutes. It's
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: three max. Still on TikTok.
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: I think it's more than that.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I thought so too, But how come I can only
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: load three then? Because it gives me there the options
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: three minutes sixty fifteen. But I watch them. I don't know.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: It feels like forever, and I will watch the story
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: of the Ultimate Warrior. I'll watch Stone Cults podcast sometimes
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: where he has other wrestlers come in and sit at
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: a desk with him and talk about it like it now.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: Feeds them to me often, and they're awesome. That's the
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: new part of TikTok that I live on. I love those.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Do you see them too?
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: See like the animated ones where it's them telling a story.
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: Yeah, those are great.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: I love nineties wrestling, long form tiktoks. So if you
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: need me, that's where I'll be over in that part
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: of TikTok. All right, got a lot going on on again.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: We won't be on tomorrow because we want this on
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: today because the draft's happening. When you to hear pel
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Sero and you can make your bets accordingly. If anything
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: breaks for Anthony Richard, it's like, oh now he's a
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: fourth or fifth pick. Rest in peace of me. I'll
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: be shoving my testicles up in it a day. That's right,
