- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm doing great. Has anyone given you an Aussie nickname yet?
- 0:42Speaker 2: I tend to hear Hills a lot.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Hills. Hills. I was thinking the Duffster.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Duffster. I like it. I'll take it.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You'll roll with that? Yeah. Okay, great. Hey, well, welcome back.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Now, I'm just going to quickly roll through it. You
- 0:55Speaker 1: tell me if I miss anything. Singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman, author, mother.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm not sure that's the order, but yeah.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Oh, no, no. Sorry. In no particular order. Because if
- 1:06Speaker 1: it was an order, I missed one. Icon.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And I would have started with that. Well, here we are. Icon,
- 1:14Speaker 1: how's life treating you?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I need everyone in my family to take a cue
- 1:18Speaker 2: from you.
- 1:20Speaker 1: She is an icon. Show some respect, okay? There you go.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Hopefully you can show the kids that. How's life treating you?
- 1:28Speaker 1: You look like you're having the time of your life.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I am. I am.
- 1:31Speaker 3: It's been a really wild year and a half or
- 1:34Speaker 3: two years. And gosh, I am having such a great time.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Really never thought that this would be still here for
- 1:45Speaker 3: me if I wanted it.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You know, getting to make a record and really.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Just have my like fingerprints.
- 1:57Speaker 3: All over it in a way that I haven't had
- 2:01Speaker 3: in such a long time or ever like feels just
- 2:05Speaker 3: very powerful to have it, um, digested and supported the
- 2:09Speaker 3: way it has been with the, with the fans and
- 2:12Speaker 3: then getting to build a show and kind of like
- 2:15Speaker 3: celebrate my old.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Life mixed with who I really am now.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Is it, is it humbling? Like when you can put
- 2:25Speaker 1: shows on sale and tickets fly out the door and
- 2:29Speaker 1: the album goes number one. I can imagine maybe, I'm
- 2:33Speaker 1: putting words in your mouth, but you're a little bit
- 2:35Speaker 1: anxious when you have stepped away for a little while
- 2:38Speaker 1: and you come back. Do people care? Do people want
- 2:40Speaker 1: to see me? And then you find out, yeah, they
- 2:43Speaker 1: actually absolutely have missed the hell out of you.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:46Speaker 2: No, it's... I feel embarrassed to talk about it.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Don't be embarrassed.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Well, no, I just mean that.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Holy shit. Ask millennials. Like we need like our people
- 2:58Speaker 1: to see us.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Well, you know, here I am.
- 3:02Speaker 3: And I am so excited to be the meeting ground
- 3:05Speaker 3: for millennials to wave their freak flag for a night.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Like I was just truly blown away.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Like I could cry thinking about you know, taking such
- 3:17Speaker 3: a big break from music and really not knowing, like,
- 3:21Speaker 3: my identity in that space anymore and kind of wondering
- 3:24Speaker 3: if there was, like, anything left for me to do there.
- 3:27Speaker 3: And then turns out, like, the people in the queues
- 3:30Speaker 3: for the shows and, like, it was just very overwhelming.
- 3:32Speaker 1: The people in the queues for the merch. Like, they
- 3:35Speaker 1: love the merch. Like, yeah. Because, you know, we've got
- 3:37Speaker 1: disposable income now. Right, right. And so we could just
- 3:39Speaker 1: buy up big. We could buy up big. The kids
- 3:43Speaker 1: are on the road with you. That was a great
- 3:45Speaker 1: idea on paper. Yeah. Is it a great idea in
- 3:48Speaker 1: real life? No.
- 3:50Speaker 3: No, it's really challenging and hard, but they're so cute
- 3:54Speaker 3: and I love them. And my husband and I are
- 3:56Speaker 3: always like, when we have some time away from them,
- 3:59Speaker 3: we obviously enjoy a few days and then.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We're like desperate for them again.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Totally. No, absolutely.
- 4:04Speaker 2: They're cute. We only have half of them here at
- 4:06Speaker 2: this time. We were just in.
- 4:10Speaker 3: The UK and Italy, and we had all three of
- 4:13Speaker 3: the little ones, and I left the baby at home
- 4:16Speaker 3: this time around.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I was like, you're not coming.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:19Speaker 2: The time change is so brutal.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Yeah, no, and mama needs a break. Right. Quickly, I'm
- 4:24Speaker 1: running out of time, but I want to talk about
- 4:25Speaker 1: this next part of the interview about maturing, okay? Oh.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Because we're all maturing. Yeah. Mature was the lead single
- 4:31Speaker 1: from the album. The number one question that I was
- 4:33Speaker 1: asked to ask you from the ladies in my life
- 4:36Speaker 1: was your skin.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Oh, gosh, that's so nice.
- 4:38Speaker 1: She's a glow-in. And I can confirm she glows in
- 4:41Speaker 1: the real life too. What are the secrets?
- 4:43Speaker 3: Well, I just got out of like two hours of glam. So,
- 4:47Speaker 3: but I, but I, you know what? That is so, so,
- 4:50Speaker 3: so nice. I try to take really good care of
- 4:53Speaker 3: my skin.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Um, Well, it's working. And then I read something
- 4:58Speaker 1: about salmon sperm facials.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Love a salmon sperm facial.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah. I love when the internet gets down to about,
- 5:04Speaker 3: they're like, they have so much to say about it.
- 5:05Speaker 3: But I'm like a micro needler, like a monthly micro
- 5:09Speaker 3: needler with salmon sperm.
- 5:10Speaker 1: With the both together. Yeah. Okay. So that's the secret.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I should get some of that.
- 5:16Speaker 2: You look great.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Bless you.
- 5:18Speaker 2: You know what?
- 5:18Speaker 3: My thing is, is like, I don't want to... not
- 5:20Speaker 3: look my age. I'm fine looking my age, but I
- 5:23Speaker 3: want to look the best I can look for my age.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Cause like the last time we spoke, we were
- 5:26Speaker 1: both in our thirties and sadly I.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Have, I haven't yet. Don't try to drag me in.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Although I can't wait to be 40 and I round up.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm in my four, I'm 40 and my
- 5:36Speaker 3: friends are like, no, you're not. I'm like, but I'm
- 5:37Speaker 3: so close and I'm excited to be there.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'm really excited.
- 5:40Speaker 1: My knees still hurt. Just so you know.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Well, I think I'm getting tennis elbow from singing and
- 5:44Speaker 3: holding the microphone.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Sure.
- 5:46Speaker 2: So, like, the wheels are kind of falling off, but I'm, like,
- 5:48Speaker 2: happier than ever.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But you look like you got it together. Thank you
- 5:50Speaker 1: so much. And that's all that matters. So congratulations.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 5:53Speaker 1: It's been great to see you, and enjoy the rest
- 5:55Speaker 1: of your time here in Oz, all right?
