Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, March 14th.

Strength and Integrity Sometimes doing the right thing feels
• 0:15
harder than it should. It can feel costly, lonely, and
• 0:18
  exhausting. There are moments when
• 0:21
compromise seems easier, silence seems safer, and going along
• 0:25
with the crowd seems simpler than standing firm.
• 0:28
But integrity is not proven when life is easy.
• 0:32
Integrity is revealed when pressure tries to pull you away
• 0:35
from what is true. Proverbs chapter 12 verse 10
• 0:39
says the righteous is concerned for the life of his beast, but
• 0:43
the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
• 0:45
Even in something as ordinary as the way a person treats an
• 0:48
animal, God shows us that righteousness is seen in
• 0:52
compassion. Integrity is not only about the
• 0:55
big visible choices, it is in the small daily ways we show
• 0:59
  fairness, care and responsibility.
• 1:02
Psalm chapter 31 verse 5 says Into your hand I commit my
• 1:06
spirit. You have redeemed me, O Lord
• 1:09
faithful God. That is the language of deep
• 1:12
trust. And in Job Chapter 31, Job
• 1:16
speaks about justice and how he did not despise the cause of his
• 1:19
  servants. He understood that integrity
• 1:22
means treating people with dignity even when you have power
• 1:25
over them. That message matters in everyday
• 1:28
life. Integrity shows up in the way
• 1:31
you talk to people when you are annoyed.
• 1:34
It shows up in how you handle truth when lying would protect
• 1:37
your image. It shows up in whether you
• 1:39
choose kindness over cruelty, fairness over favoritism, and
• 1:44
honesty over convenience. At school, online, at home, in
• 1:48
private thoughts, and in public actions, God is forming
• 1:51
something strong in you. And here is the beautiful part.
• 1:55
Integrity is not just a rule to keep.
• 1:58
It is a way of living close to God.
• 2:00
When you trust Him, you do not have to fake strength.
• 2:03
He becomes your strength. When life feels unfair or
• 2:07
overwhelming, you can place your spirit in His hands and know
• 2:10
that He is faithful. The world may reward appearance,
• 2:14
but God honors truth in the heart.
• 2:17
So keep choosing honesty, keep choosing compassion, keep
• 2:20
choosing what is right even when no one notices.
• 2:23
A life of integrity is never wasted.
• 2:26
It becomes a steady light in a Dark World.
• 2:28
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:31
being faithful and true. Help me to live with integrity
• 2:35
in the big things and the small things.
• 2:37
Teach me to treat others with fairness, compassion and respect
• 2:42
when I feel pressure to compromise.
• 2:43
Give me courage to stand firm and trust you with my life.
• 2:47
Let my choices reflect your heart every day.
• 2:49
In Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important
• 2:53
question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?
• 2:56

• 4:18
Proverbs chapter 12 Verse 9 World English Bible.
• 4:22
Better is he who is little known and has a servant than he who
• 4:25
honors himself and lacks bread. Psalm Chapter 31, World English
• 4:30
Bible for the chief musician. A Psalm by David.
• 4:34
In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed.
• 4:38
  Deliver me in your righteousness.
• 4:39
Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily.
• 4:42
Be to me a strong rock, a House of defense to save me.
• 4:46
For you are my rock and my fortress.
• 4:48
Therefore for your name's sake, lead me and guide me.
• 4:51
Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me,
• 4:54
For You are my stronghold. Into Your hand I commend my
• 4:57
  spirit. You redeem me, Yahweh.
• 4:59
God of truth, I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I
• 5:03
trust in Yahweh. I will be glad and rejoice in
• 5:06
Your loving kindness. For you have seen my affliction,
• 5:09
You have known my soul in adversities.
• 5:11
You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy.
• 5:14
You have set my feet in a large place.
• 5:16
Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am in distress.
• 5:19
My eye, my soul and my body waste away with grief, for my
• 5:23
life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing.
• 5:26
My strength fails because of my iniquity.
• 5:28
My bones are wasted away because of all my adversaries.
• 5:32
I have become utterly contemptible to my neighbors, a
• 5:35
horror to my acquaintances. Those who saw me on the street
• 5:38
fled from me. I am forgotten from their hearts
• 5:40
like a dead man. I am like broken pottery, for I
• 5:44
have heard the slander of many, terror on every side.
• 5:47
While they conspire together against me, they plot to take
• 5:50
away my life. But I trust in you, Yahweh, I
• 5:53
said. You are my God, My times are in
• 5:55
Your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my
• 5:57
enemies and from those who persecute me.
• 6:00
Make Your face to shine on Your servant.
• 6:02
Save me in Your loving kindness. Let me not be disappointed,
• 6:05
Yahweh, for I have called on You.
• 6:07
Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.
• 6:11
Let the lying lips be mute, which speak against the
• 6:14
righteous insolently with pride and contempt.
• 6:17
Oh, how great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those
• 6:20
who fear you, which You have worked for those who take refuge
• 6:23
in you before the sons of men. In the shelter of Your presence.
• 6:26
You will hide them from the plotting of man.
• 6:29
You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of
• 6:31
tongues. Praise be to Yahweh, for He has
• 6:34
shown me His marvelous, loving kindness in a strong city.
• 6:37
As for me, I said in my haste I am cut off from before your
• 6:41
  eyes. Nevertheless, you heard the
• 6:43
voice of my petitions when I cried to you.
• 6:45
Oh love Yahweh, all you his Saints.
• 6:48
Yahweh preserves the faithful and fully recompenses him who
• 6:51
behaves arrogantly. Be strong and let your heart
• 6:54
take courage, all you who hope and Yahweh.
• 6:57
Job Chapters 30 to 31 World English Bible.
• 7:01
But now those who are younger than I have me in derision,
• 7:04
whose fathers I considered unworthy to put with my
• 7:06
sheepdogs, Of what use is the strength of their hands to me?
• 7:09
Men in whom ripe age has perished.
• 7:12
They are gaunt from lack and famine.
• 7:14
They gnaw the dry ground in the gloom of waste and desolation.
• 7:18
They pluck salt herbs by the bushes.
• 7:20
The roots of the broom tree are their food.
• 7:22
They are driven out from among men.
• 7:24
They cry after them as after a thief, so that they live in
• 7:27
frightful valleys and in holes of the earth and of the rocks.
• 7:31
They Bray among the bushes. They are gathered together under
• 7:34
the nettles. They are children of fools, yes,
• 7:37
children of wicked men. They were flogged out of the
• 7:39
land. Now I have become their song.
• 7:42
Yes, I am a byword to them. They abhor me.
• 7:45
They stand aloof from me and don't hesitate to spit in my
• 7:47
face. For he has united his cord and
• 7:50
afflicted me, and they have thrown off restraint before me.
• 7:54
On my right hand rise the rabble, They thrust aside my
• 7:57
feet. They cast their ways of
• 7:59
destruction up against me. They mar my path.
• 8:01
They promote my destruction without anyone's help.
• 8:04
As through a wide breach they come, they roll themselves in
• 8:08
amid the ruin. Terrors have turned on me.
• 8:10
They chase my honor as the wind. My welfare has passed away as a
• 8:14
cloud. Now my soul is poured out within
• 8:17
me. Days of affliction have taken
• 8:19
hold of me. In the night season my bones are
• 8:21
pierced in me and the pains that Nami take no rest.
• 8:24
My garment is disfigured by great force.
• 8:27
It binds me about as the collar of my tunic.
• 8:30
He has cast me into the mire. I have become like dust and
• 8:33
ashes. I cry to you and you do not
• 8:35
answer me. I stand up and you gaze at me.
• 8:38
You have turned to be cruel to me.
• 8:40
With the might of your hand you persecute me.
• 8:42
You lift me up to the wind and drive me with it.
• 8:45
You dissolve me in the storm, for I know that you will bring
• 8:48
me to death, to the house appointed for all living.
• 8:51
However, doesn't one stretch out a hand in his fall or in his
• 8:54
  calamity, therefore cry for help?
• 8:56
Didn't I weep for him who was in trouble?
• 8:58
Wasn't my soul grieved for the needy?
• 9:00
When I looked for good, then evil came.
• 9:03
When I waited for light, darkness came.
• 9:05
My heart is troubled and doesn't rest.
• 9:08
Days of affliction have come on me.
• 9:10
I go morning without the sun. I stand up in the assembly and
• 9:13
cry for help. I am a brother to jackals and a
• 9:16
companion to ostriches. My skin grows black and peels
• 9:19
from me. My bones are burned with heat.
• 9:22
Therefore my harp has turned to mourning, and my pipe into the
• 9:25
voice of those who weep. I made a covenant with my eyes.
• 9:29
How then should I look lustfully at a young woman?
• 9:31
For what is the portion from God above and the heritage from the
• 9:34
Almighty on high? Is it not calamity to the
• 9:37
unrighteous and disaster to the workers of iniquity?
• 9:40
Doesn't He see my ways and count all my steps?
• 9:43
If I have walked with falsehood and my foot has hurried to
• 9:46
deceit, let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know
• 9:50
my integrity. If my step has turned out of the
• 9:53
way, if my heart walked after my eyes, if any defilement has
• 9:56
stuck to my hands, then let me sow and let another eat.
• 10:00
Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.
• 10:03
If my heart has been enticed to a woman, and I have laid weight
• 10:06
at my neighbor's door, then let my wife grind for another and
• 10:09
let others sleep with her, for that would be a heinous crime.
• 10:13
Yes, it would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for
• 10:16
it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out
• 10:20
all my increase. If I have despised the cause of
• 10:23
my male servant, or of my female servant when they contended with
• 10:26
me, what then will I do When God rises up?
• 10:30
When He visits, what will I answer Him?
• 10:32
Didn't he who made me in the womb make him?
• 10:34
Didn't one fashion us in the womb?
• 10:36
If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the
• 10:39
eyes of the widow to fail, or have eaten my morsel alone, and
• 10:43
the fatherless has not eaten of it?
• 10:45
No, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father.
• 10:48
I have guided her from my mother's womb.
• 10:50
If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the
• 10:53
needy had no covering. If his heart hasn't blessed me.
• 10:57
If he hasn't been warmed with my sheep's fleece.
• 10:59
If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless because I
• 11:03
saw my help in the gate, then let my shoulder fall from the
• 11:06
shoulder blade and my arm be broken from the bone.
• 11:09
For calamity from God is a terror to me.
• 11:12
Because of His Majesty. I can do nothing.
• 11:14
If I have made gold my hope and have said to the fine gold, you
• 11:18
are my confidence. If I have rejoiced because my
• 11:21
wealth was great and because my hand had gotten much.
• 11:24
If I have seen the sun when it shined, or the moon moving in
• 11:27
splendor, and my heart has been secretly enticed, and my hand
• 11:31
threw a kiss from my mouth, this also would be an iniquity to be
• 11:35
punished by the judges, for I would have denied the God who is
• 11:38
above. If I have rejoiced at the
• 11:40
destruction of Him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil
• 11:44
found him, I have certainly not allowed my mouth to sin by
• 11:47
asking his life with a curse. If the men of my tent have not
• 11:51
said, Who can find one who has not been filled with his meat?
• 11:55
The foreigner has not camped in the street, but I have opened my
• 11:58
doors to the traveler. If, like Adam, I have covered my
• 12:01
transgressions by hiding my iniquity in my heart, because I
• 12:05
feared the great multitude and the contempt of families
• 12:08
terrified me, so that I kept silence and didn't go out of the
• 12:11
door, oh, that I had one to hear me.
• 12:14
Behold, here is my signature. Let the Almighty answer me.
• 12:17
Let the accuser write my indictment.
• 12:20
Surely I would carry it on my shoulder, and I would bind it to
• 12:22
me as a crown. I would declare to him the
• 12:25
number of my steps. I would go near to him like a
• 12:27
Prince. If my land cries out against me
• 12:30
and its furrows weep together, if I have eaten its fruits
• 12:33
without money or have caused its owners to lose their life.
• 12:36
Let briars grow instead of wheat and stinkweed instead of barley.
