- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
- 0:06rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, March 14th.
- 0:11Strength and Integrity Sometimes doing the right thing feels
- 0:15harder than it should. It can feel costly, lonely, and
- 0:18exhausting. There are moments when
- 0:21compromise seems easier, silence seems safer, and going along
- 0:25with the crowd seems simpler than standing firm.
- 0:28But integrity is not proven when life is easy.
- 0:32Integrity is revealed when pressure tries to pull you away
- 0:35from what is true. Proverbs chapter 12 verse 10
- 0:39says the righteous is concerned for the life of his beast, but
- 0:43the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
- 0:45Even in something as ordinary as the way a person treats an
- 0:48animal, God shows us that righteousness is seen in
- 0:52compassion. Integrity is not only about the
- 0:55big visible choices, it is in the small daily ways we show
- 0:59fairness, care and responsibility.
- 1:02Psalm chapter 31 verse 5 says Into your hand I commit my
- 1:06spirit. You have redeemed me, O Lord
- 1:09faithful God. That is the language of deep
- 1:12trust. And in Job Chapter 31, Job
- 1:16speaks about justice and how he did not despise the cause of his
- 1:19servants. He understood that integrity
- 1:22means treating people with dignity even when you have power
- 1:25over them. That message matters in everyday
- 1:28life. Integrity shows up in the way
- 1:31you talk to people when you are annoyed.
- 1:34It shows up in how you handle truth when lying would protect
- 1:37your image. It shows up in whether you
- 1:39choose kindness over cruelty, fairness over favoritism, and
- 1:44honesty over convenience. At school, online, at home, in
- 1:48private thoughts, and in public actions, God is forming
- 1:51something strong in you. And here is the beautiful part.
- 1:55Integrity is not just a rule to keep.
- 1:58It is a way of living close to God.
- 2:00When you trust Him, you do not have to fake strength.
- 2:03He becomes your strength. When life feels unfair or
- 2:07overwhelming, you can place your spirit in His hands and know
- 2:10that He is faithful. The world may reward appearance,
- 2:14but God honors truth in the heart.
- 2:17So keep choosing honesty, keep choosing compassion, keep
- 2:20choosing what is right even when no one notices.
- 2:23A life of integrity is never wasted.
- 2:26It becomes a steady light in a Dark World.
- 2:28Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
- 2:31being faithful and true. Help me to live with integrity
- 2:35in the big things and the small things.
- 2:37Teach me to treat others with fairness, compassion and respect
- 2:42when I feel pressure to compromise.
- 2:43Give me courage to stand firm and trust you with my life.
- 2:47Let my choices reflect your heart every day.
- 2:49In Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important
- 2:53question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?

- 4:18Proverbs chapter 12 Verse 9 World English Bible.
- 4:22Better is he who is little known and has a servant than he who
- 4:25honors himself and lacks bread. Psalm Chapter 31, World English
- 4:30Bible for the chief musician. A Psalm by David.
- 4:34In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed.
- 4:38Deliver me in your righteousness.
- 4:39Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily.
- 4:42Be to me a strong rock, a House of defense to save me.
- 4:46For you are my rock and my fortress.
- 4:48Therefore for your name's sake, lead me and guide me.
- 4:51Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me,
- 4:54For You are my stronghold. Into Your hand I commend my
- 4:57spirit. You redeem me, Yahweh.
- 4:59God of truth, I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I
- 5:03trust in Yahweh. I will be glad and rejoice in
- 5:06Your loving kindness. For you have seen my affliction,
- 5:09You have known my soul in adversities.
- 5:11You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy.
- 5:14You have set my feet in a large place.
- 5:16Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am in distress.
- 5:19My eye, my soul and my body waste away with grief, for my
- 5:23life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing.
- 5:26My strength fails because of my iniquity.
- 5:28My bones are wasted away because of all my adversaries.
- 5:32I have become utterly contemptible to my neighbors, a
- 5:35horror to my acquaintances. Those who saw me on the street
- 5:38fled from me. I am forgotten from their hearts
- 5:40like a dead man. I am like broken pottery, for I
- 5:44have heard the slander of many, terror on every side.
- 5:47While they conspire together against me, they plot to take
- 5:50away my life. But I trust in you, Yahweh, I
- 5:53said. You are my God, My times are in
- 5:55Your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my
- 5:57enemies and from those who persecute me.
- 6:00Make Your face to shine on Your servant.
- 6:02Save me in Your loving kindness. Let me not be disappointed,
- 6:05Yahweh, for I have called on You.
- 6:07Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.
- 6:11Let the lying lips be mute, which speak against the
- 6:14righteous insolently with pride and contempt.
- 6:17Oh, how great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those
- 6:20who fear you, which You have worked for those who take refuge
- 6:23in you before the sons of men. In the shelter of Your presence.
- 6:26You will hide them from the plotting of man.
- 6:29You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of
- 6:31tongues. Praise be to Yahweh, for He has
- 6:34shown me His marvelous, loving kindness in a strong city.
- 6:37As for me, I said in my haste I am cut off from before your
- 6:41eyes. Nevertheless, you heard the
- 6:43voice of my petitions when I cried to you.
- 6:45Oh love Yahweh, all you his Saints.
- 6:48Yahweh preserves the faithful and fully recompenses him who
- 6:51behaves arrogantly. Be strong and let your heart
- 6:54take courage, all you who hope and Yahweh.
- 6:57Job Chapters 30 to 31 World English Bible.
- 7:01But now those who are younger than I have me in derision,
- 7:04whose fathers I considered unworthy to put with my
- 7:06sheepdogs, Of what use is the strength of their hands to me?
- 7:09Men in whom ripe age has perished.
- 7:12They are gaunt from lack and famine.
- 7:14They gnaw the dry ground in the gloom of waste and desolation.
- 7:18They pluck salt herbs by the bushes.
- 7:20The roots of the broom tree are their food.
- 7:22They are driven out from among men.
- 7:24They cry after them as after a thief, so that they live in
- 7:27frightful valleys and in holes of the earth and of the rocks.
- 7:31They Bray among the bushes. They are gathered together under
- 7:34the nettles. They are children of fools, yes,
- 7:37children of wicked men. They were flogged out of the
- 7:39land. Now I have become their song.
- 7:42Yes, I am a byword to them. They abhor me.
- 7:45They stand aloof from me and don't hesitate to spit in my
- 7:47face. For he has united his cord and
- 7:50afflicted me, and they have thrown off restraint before me.
- 7:54On my right hand rise the rabble, They thrust aside my
- 7:57feet. They cast their ways of
- 7:59destruction up against me. They mar my path.
- 8:01They promote my destruction without anyone's help.
- 8:04As through a wide breach they come, they roll themselves in
- 8:08amid the ruin. Terrors have turned on me.
- 8:10They chase my honor as the wind. My welfare has passed away as a
- 8:14cloud. Now my soul is poured out within
- 8:17me. Days of affliction have taken
- 8:19hold of me. In the night season my bones are
- 8:21pierced in me and the pains that Nami take no rest.
- 8:24My garment is disfigured by great force.
- 8:27It binds me about as the collar of my tunic.
- 8:30He has cast me into the mire. I have become like dust and
- 8:33ashes. I cry to you and you do not
- 8:35answer me. I stand up and you gaze at me.
- 8:38You have turned to be cruel to me.
- 8:40With the might of your hand you persecute me.
- 8:42You lift me up to the wind and drive me with it.
- 8:45You dissolve me in the storm, for I know that you will bring
- 8:48me to death, to the house appointed for all living.
- 8:51However, doesn't one stretch out a hand in his fall or in his
- 8:54calamity, therefore cry for help?
- 8:56Didn't I weep for him who was in trouble?
- 8:58Wasn't my soul grieved for the needy?
- 9:00When I looked for good, then evil came.
- 9:03When I waited for light, darkness came.
- 9:05My heart is troubled and doesn't rest.
- 9:08Days of affliction have come on me.
- 9:10I go morning without the sun. I stand up in the assembly and
- 9:13cry for help. I am a brother to jackals and a
- 9:16companion to ostriches. My skin grows black and peels
- 9:19from me. My bones are burned with heat.
- 9:22Therefore my harp has turned to mourning, and my pipe into the
- 9:25voice of those who weep. I made a covenant with my eyes.
- 9:29How then should I look lustfully at a young woman?
- 9:31For what is the portion from God above and the heritage from the
- 9:34Almighty on high? Is it not calamity to the
- 9:37unrighteous and disaster to the workers of iniquity?
- 9:40Doesn't He see my ways and count all my steps?
- 9:43If I have walked with falsehood and my foot has hurried to
- 9:46deceit, let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know
- 9:50my integrity. If my step has turned out of the
- 9:53way, if my heart walked after my eyes, if any defilement has
- 9:56stuck to my hands, then let me sow and let another eat.
- 10:00Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.
- 10:03If my heart has been enticed to a woman, and I have laid weight
- 10:06at my neighbor's door, then let my wife grind for another and
- 10:09let others sleep with her, for that would be a heinous crime.
- 10:13Yes, it would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for
- 10:16it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out
- 10:20all my increase. If I have despised the cause of
- 10:23my male servant, or of my female servant when they contended with
- 10:26me, what then will I do When God rises up?
- 10:30When He visits, what will I answer Him?
- 10:32Didn't he who made me in the womb make him?
- 10:34Didn't one fashion us in the womb?
- 10:36If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the
- 10:39eyes of the widow to fail, or have eaten my morsel alone, and
- 10:43the fatherless has not eaten of it?
- 10:45No, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father.
- 10:48I have guided her from my mother's womb.
- 10:50If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the
- 10:53needy had no covering. If his heart hasn't blessed me.
- 10:57If he hasn't been warmed with my sheep's fleece.
- 10:59If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless because I
- 11:03saw my help in the gate, then let my shoulder fall from the
- 11:06shoulder blade and my arm be broken from the bone.
- 11:09For calamity from God is a terror to me.
- 11:12Because of His Majesty. I can do nothing.
- 11:14If I have made gold my hope and have said to the fine gold, you
- 11:18are my confidence. If I have rejoiced because my
- 11:21wealth was great and because my hand had gotten much.
- 11:24If I have seen the sun when it shined, or the moon moving in
- 11:27splendor, and my heart has been secretly enticed, and my hand
- 11:31threw a kiss from my mouth, this also would be an iniquity to be
- 11:35punished by the judges, for I would have denied the God who is
- 11:38above. If I have rejoiced at the
- 11:40destruction of Him who hated me, or lifted up myself when evil
- 11:44found him, I have certainly not allowed my mouth to sin by
- 11:47asking his life with a curse. If the men of my tent have not
- 11:51said, Who can find one who has not been filled with his meat?
- 11:55The foreigner has not camped in the street, but I have opened my
- 11:58doors to the traveler. If, like Adam, I have covered my
- 12:01transgressions by hiding my iniquity in my heart, because I
- 12:05feared the great multitude and the contempt of families
- 12:08terrified me, so that I kept silence and didn't go out of the
- 12:11door, oh, that I had one to hear me.
- 12:14Behold, here is my signature. Let the Almighty answer me.
- 12:17Let the accuser write my indictment.
- 12:20Surely I would carry it on my shoulder, and I would bind it to
- 12:22me as a crown. I would declare to him the
- 12:25number of my steps. I would go near to him like a
- 12:27Prince. If my land cries out against me
- 12:30and its furrows weep together, if I have eaten its fruits
- 12:33without money or have caused its owners to lose their life.
- 12:36Let briars grow instead of wheat and stinkweed instead of barley.
