- 1:17Speaker 1: Okay. Now, are you gonna keep the water or it's
- 1:19Speaker 1: gonna be like soup? Or is it gonna be like noodles?
- 1:21Speaker 2: It'll be like kind of dry. I mean, it's not
- 1:23Speaker 2: gonna be dry. It's gonna be a little wet.

- 1:59Speaker 1: cooked recently.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Nah, that was nineteen years ago.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Okay, So Mama noodles. Now this is different from your

- 2:24Speaker 1: Was it like a breakfast situation?
- 2:26Speaker 2: That was just me being fat? I wasn't fat for real,
- 2:29Speaker 2: but its me being fat?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Okay, okay for all the listeners, I thought he was
- 2:33Speaker 1: gonna be like five foot seven.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Everybody think I'm small, but then they see me in
- 2:38Speaker 2: personally like he taught.
- 2:39Speaker 1: For I'm five four guys, How tall are you? Yeah?
- 2:44Speaker 1: A lots taller than I would have predicted. All right,
- 2:47Speaker 1: So take me back to what was going on during
- 2:49Speaker 1: the sausage, eggs and Mama Ramen phase of your life.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I mean, this is like high school and junior college and.
- 2:59Speaker 3: College days, playing football, not really having too much bridges
- 3:04Speaker 3: getting by.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Okay, did you come from two parent household?
- 3:08Speaker 3: So I have my mom my stepdad, and then I
- 3:10Speaker 3: have my dad as well, so basically too but not
- 3:14Speaker 3: my actual dad but still my dad.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And then middle class poor, rich.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Middle class cool. We wasn't like we wasn't like eating
- 3:24Speaker 2: syrup sandwiches, but you know it was.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah, it was cool like you had what you needed
- 3:29Speaker 1: type situation, Like you didn't want for anything.
- 3:31Speaker 3: No, I mean, I mean I wanted stuff that I
- 3:34Speaker 3: didn't get, but I wasn't like you can't have thish.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I mean I could have some stuff, okay, but it
- 3:41Speaker 2: wasn't I could have whatever I want. Yeah, I wasn't
- 3:43Speaker 2: sporting fair like, yeah you got it.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Okay, So you were into
- 3:50Speaker 1: sports early on. You said you played sports.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I played football, You played footballans I went to Opraah
- 3:56Speaker 2: Walker High School. When I went to order some Baptist
- 3:59Speaker 2: junior college and I went toucky.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You went to where Western Kentucky, Western Kentucky? Okay, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: then what made you decide to move out to Los Angeles.
- 4:08Speaker 2: One of my teammates at Western Kentucky was from here.
- 4:10Speaker 2: M H.
- 4:11Speaker 3: When I moved back to New Orleans after I was
- 4:13Speaker 3: done playing, he was like, hey, bro, one of my
- 4:16Speaker 3: my roommate moved out. I got an extra room to
- 4:18Speaker 3: move four.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Hundred a month, one hundred a month. That's great.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I'm there. How long that was?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Like?
- 4:24Speaker 2: That was like six years ago, six years ago.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I've been here for six years, But how four hundred
- 4:30Speaker 1: a month rent six years ago? I'm trying to do
- 4:32Speaker 1: the mask.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I mean it was, I mean, it's his family houseful.
- 4:35Speaker 2: It wasn't really like what it really was.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Yes, he already had discounted.
- 4:40Speaker 2: He was see what you can do? So I just
- 4:42Speaker 2: came out.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And what was your family saying when you decided to
- 4:46Speaker 1: make that move?
- 4:47Speaker 2: They were that was cool, and it was like, go
- 4:49Speaker 2: try it out and see how they.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Wasn't What was your career choice at the time.
- 4:55Speaker 2: At the time, I was a car salesman at least side.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Okay, how did you.
- 5:00Speaker 2: That was my only job? Mind I did.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I'm already loving it.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Was a really good salesman, but that was my only
- 5:06Speaker 2: job ever.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Did you have to get a car sales license to you.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Just go to dealership and apply and then you.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Work through the deal because in California you need a
- 5:14Speaker 1: license for it. Really, yeah, California you need a special license.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Not there, you just do what you do.
- 5:20Speaker 1: So when you come out here, you come with car,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you had, come with savings.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I came. I came with two cars. I had a
- 5:29Speaker 2: I had a Mustang and.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I had a Dodge Dart okay, and I was driving
- 5:35Speaker 3: Uber and my Dodge Dark And so that's basically I
- 5:37Speaker 3: was making money while I was here.
- 5:38Speaker 2: When I first hated.
- 5:41Speaker 1: How did you move the two cars down here?
- 5:44Speaker 2: But one of my friends in the wers drove the
- 5:46Speaker 2: car down and I drove the.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Other one, and you just followed and you packed it up.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, pack it up to the burman came out.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Okay, so what's your first play after you move here?
- 5:57Speaker 2: My first play meaning your.
- 5:59Speaker 1: First made Like, what's your first thing? You're you're you're
- 6:02Speaker 1: just doing Uber.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I was just doing Uber, That's my main thing.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And then how was Uber in l A good?
- 6:07Speaker 2: It was actually really good around that time. Now, I
- 6:09Speaker 2: don't know if around that time it was. It was
- 6:12Speaker 2: money for sure?
- 6:14Speaker 1: Did Uber give you a crash course in taxes?
- 6:17Speaker 2: And no? What's crazy?
- 6:19Speaker 3: When I first moved here, within the first week of
- 6:22Speaker 3: me getting here, somebody smacked my car apart, my Uber
- 6:25Speaker 3: car smacked it right, hit it on the side of
- 6:28Speaker 3: the road, totaled it no way within a week and beginning,
- 6:33Speaker 3: so I drove Uber with a renold.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Basically, oh was that expensive?
- 6:38Speaker 2: It was like a thousand dollars a month, so it
- 6:41Speaker 2: wasn't too bad, but it was it was cool. Oh yeah,
- 6:47Speaker 2: they totaled it quick.
- 6:50Speaker 1: But did you get a decent pay.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I got to pay out. It was cool. You're talking
- 6:56Speaker 2: to me, you gonna be over here about the burn ship.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, go ahead.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I try to healty task.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Handle your business too. I got you sweating to little NAPKT.
- 7:05Speaker 1: We turned off the AC in the studio, guys, so
- 7:07Speaker 1: it doesn't affect the audio.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Thanks you.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Who were you annoyed to see that you were gonna
- 7:14Speaker 1: have to cook today?
- 7:15Speaker 4: Not?
- 7:16Speaker 2: Really? It was cool. It's cool.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Does this bring you back to old times?
- 7:20Speaker 2: Like?
- 7:20Speaker 1: Do you feel it in your spirit?
- 7:24Speaker 2: No? Because I still eat this ship?
- 7:26Speaker 1: You do well? Who cooks it for you? You said
- 7:28Speaker 1: you don't cook well?
- 7:29Speaker 2: I put in the microwave.
- 7:30Speaker 1: So okay, all right, So this is a this is
- 7:38Speaker 1: a a more, this is a comfort meal to you
- 7:42Speaker 1: at this point.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I can just throw this in there and let
- 7:45Speaker 2: it do what to do.
- 7:46Speaker 1: So how long were you ubering?
- 7:48Speaker 2: For a couple of years?
- 7:51Speaker 1: A couple of years.
- 7:52Speaker 3: I was ubering in New Orleans before I moved here,
- 7:54Speaker 3: and then when I came here, I was ubering for
- 7:55Speaker 3: maybe two or three years.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Now, this is after you graduated from college? Did you graduate?
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah? I went to Weston, Tucky and graduating talking fourteen.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Now this is gonna a word this nicely. So you
- 8:10Speaker 1: graduate from college, are you concerned that you're ubering to
- 8:14Speaker 1: get by or are you? No?
- 8:16Speaker 2: I knew I had a plan.
- 8:17Speaker 1: What was the plan at that?
- 8:18Speaker 3: I mean it was entrepreneurship was the plan. I just
- 8:20Speaker 3: didn't know what it was gonna be. But I hit
- 8:24Speaker 3: that one a couple of big bets, and you know,
- 8:27Speaker 3: took it to the next level. I've been been since,
- 8:31Speaker 3: like right out of high school.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So did your parents know about this betting?
- 8:35Speaker 2: They knew?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Were they in support of it?
- 8:38Speaker 2: I mean they wasn't in support of it, but they
- 8:40Speaker 2: wasn't against it either, as long as I wasn't asking
- 8:42Speaker 2: them for nothing. They weren't truer.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Okay, So I was really driving like a lot of
- 8:46Speaker 3: Uber so I could take the money I was taking
- 8:48Speaker 3: from Uber and bet it to like flip it.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you were a straight entrepreneur from Jump from Jump, I.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Know, I wasn't work for nobody. Now, one job I
- 8:56Speaker 2: had after that, I said, nah, this ain't it. Can't
- 8:59Speaker 2: do it. I just can't see myself cocking in every
- 9:02Speaker 2: day from nine to five, and.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Just yeah, I have a similar issue. It's very hard
- 9:10Speaker 1: because I feel like time is the most valuable thing
- 9:13Speaker 1: and I can't get it back. So how do you
- 9:15Speaker 1: put a dollar amount that's worthy of taking that time,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and I value my time at a certain hour. Whether
- 9:22Speaker 1: you value it at that hour or not.
- 9:25Speaker 2: You know, it's all about yourself exactly.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So it just never seems to work out for me.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I think it's just better just to work for myself.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I make more money that way, and I get more
- 9:35Speaker 1: of my time. Right, that's me so spoken like a
- 9:38Speaker 1: shoe hustler. I've never seen anybody seasoned eggs with Tony's
- 9:42Speaker 1: garlic or onion powder ever in my life, ever in
- 9:46Speaker 1: my life. So is that like a New Orleans thing?
- 9:50Speaker 1: And you did it straight home? Did it burn? Okay?
- 9:56Speaker 1: You like a chef? All right? So the eggs are
- 9:58Speaker 1: scrambled with Tony's garlic an onion smells gray.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Little pepper and lit a little salt. Don't really need butter?
- 10:05Speaker 1: M hm, Oh did you put butter in it?
- 10:07Speaker 2: I didn't even put butter in there.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Would you put on the bottom of the pan.
- 10:11Speaker 2: The sausage juice? Oh?
- 10:12Speaker 1: Wow, you're a real cook. You're a real cook. I
- 10:14Speaker 1: don't know why you don't cook.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I could. I mean, I was. I was in the
- 10:17Speaker 2: relationship for a while, so I didn't have to. But
- 10:20Speaker 2: now that I'm saying, you know.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Sometimes I get in the kitchen and make it work.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Can't just made those wings?
- 10:31Speaker 2: And that's then all right, put that in there.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Okay, So I'm gonna I'm gonna be your commentor so
- 10:39Speaker 1: he took the eggs and he dropped it in the noodles,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and then he's just gonna drop the sausages and all
- 10:45Speaker 1: of the sausage up. So and this is pork sausage.
- 10:50Speaker 2: You like pork.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I love pork. Whether pork loves me or beef loves
- 10:57Speaker 1: me is a different story. But I love them, but
- 11:00Speaker 1: I just can't eat them that often.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And it comes with these two little season and pacage.
- 11:05Speaker 2: You're stow them on in there.
- 11:09Speaker 1: With no water.
- 11:10Speaker 3: You stow it in there and mix it up, and
- 11:14Speaker 3: then if if it ain't enough, thing, you know, you
- 11:15Speaker 3: just take a little more Tony's and throw it in
- 11:17Speaker 3: there or something.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I feel like it's gonna be really salty, you think.
- 11:20Speaker 1: So I don't want a second guess, No, no, no,
- 11:23Speaker 1: don't second gainst yourself. Why don't you just jump it off.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna do what I do because I don't care
- 11:27Speaker 2: if you like it. I like it. Let me. I'm
- 11:31Speaker 2: messing with you.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Ahead, go ahead, I'm gonna judge it. So I'm gonna
- 11:35Speaker 1: be honest.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I know, I know you're gonna be honest, but.
- 11:38Speaker 1: But I definitely think just from watching it's going to
- 11:42Speaker 1: be salty because you didn't even like sadm.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I'm from New Orleans and we you seasoning when we could,
- 11:48Speaker 2: so it's.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I could tell this is nothing for real.
- 11:52Speaker 1: You put Tony's in your eggs, that's nothing.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It badly tastes like it. Though I didn't put that much.
- 11:58Speaker 2: I told it down for you. I probably for more
- 12:00Speaker 2: than that.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I saw a lot of garlic powder hit them eggs.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I ain't never seen garlic powder on eggs. Man, A right,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm dying to try this though. I feel like it's
- 12:06Speaker 1: gonna taste great, but also very sold. But okay, come ons,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I want to get into the tea.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Let's get into the tea.
- 12:19Speaker 1: So, so you make money off uber, you start betting
- 12:24Speaker 1: on your picks that you pick on your own. At
- 12:28Speaker 1: any point, are you starting to crowd raise any money
- 12:30Speaker 1: from friends or you're just taking your money and just
- 12:33Speaker 1: my money. Okay, in the beginning, how many losses were
- 12:38Speaker 1: you experiencing like what.
- 12:39Speaker 2: What were I was losing? I lost for years. I
- 12:42Speaker 2: was losing.
- 12:42Speaker 3: I started betting in twenty fifteen, twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen,
- 12:48Speaker 3: and I was losing until like twenty.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Nineteen, twenty twenty. I was losing for a while for
- 12:56Speaker 2: four years. Yeah, I was losing, but it was just fun.
- 12:59Speaker 1: So when you would take a loss, how did you
- 13:02Speaker 1: handle that grief?
- 13:04Speaker 2: I mean at some point it's like.
- 13:07Speaker 3: You you lose attachment to like money, so like I
- 13:11Speaker 3: lost too much money and like bitcoin and like cryptos,
- 13:15Speaker 3: and I'm used to losing money.
- 13:17Speaker 2: So it's like it didn't really fay you.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Looked at money. It's more of a tool.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Have you read the book of the Psychology of Money.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I don't read.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't like to read audio book.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I hate reading.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Honestly, you should read that book. It's really good. I
- 13:32Speaker 1: feel like you could. You would, even though you hate reading.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I don't know how you read that book. But it
- 13:37Speaker 1: talks about when you're doing business sometimes the difficulty of
- 13:42Speaker 1: like losing sleep needs to be contributed to when you're
- 13:45Speaker 1: doing investments and stuff like that. So yeah, but you
- 13:48Speaker 1: have a detachment, so it's it doesn't really like you
- 13:51Speaker 1: look at it as more of a tool.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great, thank.
- 13:54Speaker 3: You, melttle MESSI I'm not really when I cook, I
- 14:00Speaker 3: don't have I don't have presentation. But it's gonna taste good.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yo.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I just took like a little nipple of noodle. Guys,
- 14:06Speaker 1: taste it great.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Let's see see what I did because I cooked it,
- 14:11Speaker 3: but I didn't really taste it when I was cooking
- 14:13Speaker 3: it when I was at home. I would like I
- 14:15Speaker 3: would really, but I'm in front of you, some kind
- 14:16Speaker 3: of nervous a little bit.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Oh I like that. See Wait, no, no, sit down
- 14:20Speaker 1: with me.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Oh my god, talk to them.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I ain't gonna lie.
- 14:25Speaker 2: These are amazing, great stole woman rap.
- 14:32Speaker 1: You know what I like about you is that most
- 14:34Speaker 1: guests would mess up how long they boil the noodles
- 14:37Speaker 1: for while talking, and you did not. That's impressive. Like
- 14:42Speaker 1: you wrong, you had your eye on it. This is
- 14:46Speaker 1: a really good I don't know if it's the seasoning
- 14:48Speaker 1: of the Mama noodles or your seasoning, but yeah, but
- 14:52Speaker 1: it's a ten out of ten. Thank you, and the
- 14:58Speaker 1: noodles are cooked really well.
- 15:00Speaker 2: M hm. So thank you.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Is the second time I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 15:07Speaker 1: say that this ram is at the top of my list.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And it doesn't even feel like a broke dish.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I mean this noddles. I mean around that time there
- 15:15Speaker 2: was like twenty eggs was cheap size with cheap.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You feel like you can cook when you cook this.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And have you ever surprised a friend with this and
- 15:25Speaker 1: been like here and they've.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Been like, oh my god all the time. They love
- 15:30Speaker 2: like they see you here noodles and they just think
- 15:32Speaker 2: it's just noodles.
- 15:33Speaker 1: This This is even though I don't really see a
- 15:37Speaker 1: lot of the egg. It's so broken up.
- 15:39Speaker 2: It's probably broken up inside the other the whole thing too.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Dude, this is great. And you know what it's like,
- 15:46Speaker 1: just the right amount of spice.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I told it down for you, spicy. I love spicy food.
- 15:55Speaker 1: This is delicious. Thanks for toning it down from me.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I thought you you here because you were making it
- 16:01Speaker 1: your boy, But you.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Gotta take it to a comp of people that you
- 16:04Speaker 2: couldn't pro when you couldn't.
- 16:06Speaker 1: What what helped you detach from money? You think?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Just I just knew being an entrepreneur you're going to
- 16:13Speaker 2: lose before you win.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Was there ever a point where you questioned, though, like, hey,
- 16:18Speaker 1: is this Hay does use the word like addiction, but
- 16:20Speaker 1: like because betting can be like close to gambling, right, Yeah.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I mean it is gambling. But I was never the
- 16:30Speaker 2: type to like overristen myself like I would always. I
- 16:36Speaker 2: was always disciplined and knowing I'm not about to go
- 16:38Speaker 2: in there and bet my rent money and shit, some
- 16:41Speaker 2: people will do that like you were.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I lend money out, like I'm always.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I only lend money out on what I'm willing to lose,
- 16:50Speaker 1: not willing to lose it. I don't lend it.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, some people bet they last, and that's not That's
- 16:58Speaker 2: not the way that So you had structure.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yeah, instructure the whole time you're betting for the four years,
- 17:03Speaker 1: are you saying I'm going to be the number one
- 17:06Speaker 1: sports better in the world.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Nah, it just happened that just like I just want
- 17:11Speaker 2: you to get close like this, you want to get closer.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I got you.
- 17:15Speaker 1: You're on this mic now.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I just happened.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Like I started off just sending best to my friends
- 17:21Speaker 3: and at that point they they like thought I was
- 17:25Speaker 3: doing They liked my best, but I got tired of senator.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Everybody started just made a group check.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Then eventually they was like, they're like, bro, just put
- 17:32Speaker 3: it on like I think said, put on Instagram or something.
- 17:34Speaker 3: And I made like a little group on Instagram so
- 17:36Speaker 3: around people could join. And then they was like, bro,
- 17:39Speaker 3: like you need to be getting paid for this. So
- 17:41Speaker 3: at that point, I just started charging on Instagram and
- 17:44Speaker 3: within like two days, I had like fifty people, and
- 17:47Speaker 3: I'm like, this could be something else.
- 17:49Speaker 1: And in the beginning, did you start with a free
- 17:51Speaker 1: subscription model or did you start right away with the
- 17:54Speaker 1: charging the.
- 17:55Speaker 3: At first, when I first made it, it was free
- 17:57Speaker 3: to like my friends and people that followed me, like
- 17:59Speaker 3: just follow me regular.
- 18:00Speaker 2: And then I started charging ten a month, ten dollars
- 18:03Speaker 2: a month.
- 18:04Speaker 3: But I had already seen people charging like five hundred
- 18:06Speaker 3: for one day and different stuff, so I'd already seen it,
- 18:09Speaker 3: but I would never pay that because it like don't
- 18:11Speaker 3: make sense to me.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Something.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Let me let me try to pivot a little bit.
- 18:14Speaker 3: So they like you should charge that. I'm like, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 3: let me just charge ten dollars.
- 18:16Speaker 2: See what happened. Yeah, within like two days, like forty
- 18:19Speaker 2: fifty people.
- 18:20Speaker 3: He's liken, bro, that ain't enough, like go up a
- 18:22Speaker 3: little bit, and so I went up to twenty yeah,
- 18:24Speaker 3: and it was just running up, and then at some
- 18:28Speaker 3: point it had sold out, like it was just too
- 18:30Speaker 3: many people. Like once you get to people following your bets,
- 18:33Speaker 3: it'll mess the market. Hell, so too many people on
- 18:38Speaker 3: one side, the book is going to like move a
- 18:40Speaker 3: certain way, so like you like it needs to correct yourself,
- 18:43Speaker 3: like I to me, on one side is gonna keep
- 18:45Speaker 3: going up and up and up and up, so people
- 18:46Speaker 3: are not gonna be able to take the same bet.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Okay, can you break that down and layman's language for me?
- 18:52Speaker 3: Okay, So let's just say the Lakers are playing the Clippers,
- 18:56Speaker 3: and the Lakers are the favorite that favored and minus street,
- 18:59Speaker 3: and you have thousands of people betting minus three, it's
- 19:02Speaker 3: gonna go up to minus four, minus five, minus six,
- 19:04Speaker 3: which means they have to win by three, one by four,
- 19:06Speaker 3: one by five, one by six. Like it'll just keep
- 19:08Speaker 3: going up if it's only one side being bet okay.
- 19:11Speaker 2: So basically I was it was like messing up the
- 19:16Speaker 2: market a little.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Bit, okay, because I had so many people taking on
- 19:18Speaker 3: one side, so I had to cut off my subscription,
- 19:21Speaker 3: and then I up the price a little bit to
- 19:23Speaker 3: not have as many people come in at the same time.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Okay, so then some people actually fell off.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Or I mean a lot of people still there like
- 19:30Speaker 2: they just but it's it's not as bad when the
- 19:35Speaker 2: sports the sports backups.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Sports betting market is growing, so it's a lot of
- 19:40Speaker 3: people like betting like it's it's growing every day. Yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 3: so if I if you up the price a little bit,
- 19:45Speaker 3: it's gonna stop as many cause it was coming in
- 19:47Speaker 3: like crazy at first. But I didn't I didn't want
- 19:50Speaker 3: I don't want two many people on the same bet
- 19:52Speaker 3: because it's they can't all take it.
- 19:54Speaker 2: It's like the market's gonna move too much.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Okay, So I had up the price a little bit
- 19:58Speaker 3: to stop adding people from coming in, but still make
- 20:01Speaker 3: it affordable for anybody to really still kind of get
- 20:04Speaker 3: in if they really really want to.
- 20:06Speaker 1: So, what's your current price? Because I thought it was
- 20:08Speaker 1: what's your current Now it's one hundred a month. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 1: and then you have so technically you start as an entrepreneur,
- 20:17Speaker 1: starting as a sports better but now you added an
- 20:20Speaker 1: additional stream of income because now you have a subscription base.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Now when you were coming up with this model. Were
- 20:29Speaker 1: you shocked at how much revenue that alone was bringing
- 20:33Speaker 1: in without the sports betting?
- 20:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I was. I was kind of shocked.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I didn't think it was gonna I was like, because me,
- 20:39Speaker 3: I was never the type to pay for sports picks, Like,
- 20:41Speaker 3: I was like, I'm gonna fire on my own. But
- 20:43Speaker 3: I was surprised about how many people would actually do it.
- 20:47Speaker 3: People have an addiction to betting.
- 20:49Speaker 2: But they suck.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so they need to go somewhere where they can
- 20:53Speaker 3: get good picks and still enjoy themself so they're not
- 20:56Speaker 3: losing as much. Because even if somebody's fifty percent, if
- 21:00Speaker 3: they're losing money and they come to you when you're
- 21:02Speaker 3: sixty percent, they're happy.
- 21:03Speaker 2: With that because they were losing before.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and they just want to keep be in it. Yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 2: So I'm like saving the community.
- 21:11Speaker 1: You're hilarious. Do you feel pressure thought being the picker?
- 21:16Speaker 2: I hate losing. I hate losing for them, not even
- 21:19Speaker 2: not for myself, but for them, cause I know they
- 21:20Speaker 2: might need it a lot more than nottingly.
- 21:23Speaker 1: But how do you handle that because that's a different
- 21:25Speaker 1: type of loss versus like losing actual money. Y, you
- 21:29Speaker 1: know how you said you were detached from the money, right,
- 21:31Speaker 1: so that was like betting your own Like even with
- 21:34Speaker 1: my friends, Like if I do something risky, I'm always like,
- 21:36Speaker 1: let me take it first, and then if it works,
- 21:40Speaker 1: all the homies can jump on. And then n a
- 21:43Speaker 1: lot of times it don't work out on me, I'm like, uh,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I guess I didn't have to deal with the that
- 21:47Speaker 1: part of letting someone down. But in your case, you
- 21:49Speaker 1: can't detach.
- 21:50Speaker 3: From your well that's well, that's why I charge monthly,
- 21:54Speaker 3: so it's like you get a whole month of picks.
- 21:56Speaker 3: So like if I lose one day, I'm telling you all,
- 21:58Speaker 3: like you just relaxed, like we good, Like we don't.
- 22:00Speaker 3: We gonna get it back. We gonna do what we
- 22:01Speaker 3: gotta do. But it just depends on like how they're
- 22:05Speaker 3: managing their money, cause it's like bank orman, it's a
- 22:07Speaker 3: lot of stuff that goes into it. You can't just
- 22:08Speaker 3: be betting it all every day cause eventually you're gonna
- 22:10Speaker 3: lose one one of those days. So like you gotta
- 22:12Speaker 3: be able to manage your money. So I try to
- 22:14Speaker 3: teach them everything they need to be successful. But if
- 22:17Speaker 3: they listen, they listen. If they don't.
- 22:18Speaker 1: They don't you teach you about the money management too?
- 22:21Speaker 3: I try to, Yeah, I I don't. I don't like
- 22:23Speaker 3: go into full depth, but I kind of tell them like, Okay,
- 22:26Speaker 3: look risk this amount of your bank road when you're betting,
- 22:29Speaker 3: so you're not betting too much?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Okay. Wow. And then going back to the detachment, are
- 22:36Speaker 1: you able to detach if you have a loss?
- 22:39Speaker 2: Me, Yeah, I don't care. I I lost yesterday. I
- 22:41Speaker 2: ain't gonna I I got cool. No, not not for
- 22:44Speaker 2: you personally, for them, oh for them, Yeah, I mean
- 22:47Speaker 2: I I It's like, I'm like, you can tell somebody
- 22:52Speaker 2: what to do, but you can't make them do it.
- 22:55Speaker 2: So like if I tell you exactly what to do,
- 22:56Speaker 2: when you decide to do something else, that's kind of
- 22:58Speaker 2: on you.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah. So what are some of the stories you've heard
- 23:02Speaker 1: from people that one that were like crazy that you
- 23:05Speaker 1: were able to transform.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Somebody told me about the Mama House, about their Mama car,
- 23:09Speaker 3: like they don't quit their jobs.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Like stuff like that just makes me happy.
- 23:14Speaker 1: Do you have any people that aspire to be you,
- 23:16Speaker 1: like a sports better.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I have a few mentors that a mentor that I
- 23:21Speaker 3: basically showed them how to do what I do basically,
- 23:24Speaker 3: and people people look up to me.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I feel like, so, yeah, now, what does your family
- 23:31Speaker 1: say about this industry that you're in?
- 23:34Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like they don't really have too
- 23:36Speaker 2: much to say.
- 23:37Speaker 1: They're proud, well obviously, Plus the money speaks for yourself,
- 23:40Speaker 1: right right.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I mean, I'm probably one of the riches in my family.
- 23:44Speaker 1: So wow, that's a lot to say. Are you the
- 23:46Speaker 1: first entrepreneur?
- 23:49Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 23:50Speaker 4: No.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I think there's a people for me.
- 23:53Speaker 1: But none that you trained from. No, did you have
- 23:57Speaker 1: a mentor no? So at what point does you start?
- 24:01Speaker 2: So after?
- 24:02Speaker 1: What? At what point does the subscription model take place?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Three years ago?
- 24:08Speaker 1: Three years ago? Okay, and you're not working at all
- 24:12Speaker 1: at this point? Are you still doing I wasn't working.
- 24:15Speaker 1: When did you quit Uber? Officially? Officially?
- 24:17Speaker 2: I quit probably a year before. I started doing.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Subscriptions a year before, and that was just off. You've
- 24:22Speaker 1: been doing better?
- 24:23Speaker 2: Well?
- 24:23Speaker 3: I quit actually because of COVID. So around around the
- 24:26Speaker 3: COVID time when you couldn't we couldn't really do that.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Oh, they couldn't do Uber during COVID. Well, nobody was
- 24:31Speaker 1: really driving out, so we had to figure it out yeah, yeah,
- 24:35Speaker 1: they're like doors right, uber they had over because people
- 24:40Speaker 1: weren't there getting like food delivered to their house. Like
- 24:42Speaker 1: everybody was scared. I know in New York you could
- 24:44Speaker 1: have cleaned up because nobody, nobody.
- 24:45Speaker 2: In my crib. I didn't even want to go outside
- 24:48Speaker 2: for really, like I was. I wasn't trying to kiss that.
- 24:51Speaker 2: But around that time is when I stopped like ubering
- 24:54Speaker 2: and I just tried to like I was figuring it
- 24:56Speaker 2: out and been on different sports and different little shit.
- 25:00Speaker 1: So you're just at home. And then were you able
- 25:02Speaker 1: to take advantage of the the COVID, the COVID, the
- 25:06Speaker 1: COVID unemployment or whatever incentives they had during Yeah, yep.
- 25:10Speaker 1: At any point did you like try to do a
- 25:12Speaker 1: PvP to like bet or no, or you're not going
- 25:15Speaker 1: to do that.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I wasn't trying to play with them people.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Okay, So you survived COVID gracefully or on top you
- 25:24Speaker 1: did the subscription during COVID or after.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I started kind of like right after it's like around
- 25:30Speaker 2: well in twenty five.
- 25:32Speaker 1: It's in twenty two, so like right when the world
- 25:34Speaker 1: started on like like when I started back up again. Okay, Yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 1: and then how did you handle like the marketing of it.
- 25:42Speaker 2: I mean I always felt like I was a good marketer,
- 25:45Speaker 2: So I just I do everything myself, like everything was
- 25:48Speaker 2: done by me.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I see, you come with your own team to
- 25:51Speaker 1: do b rolling all of that.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, we do everything.
- 25:53Speaker 1: So now is your infrastructure like marketing subscriptions and betting?
- 25:58Speaker 3: Yeah, marketing subscriptions and betting it is my main source.
- 26:02Speaker 3: But subscriptions they're branks in a lot of money too.
- 26:05Speaker 1: And then how are you at delegating what you mean
- 26:09Speaker 1: delegating like some of the jobs in your company?
- 26:13Speaker 2: I mean, I just I don't know.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Are you hiring friends?
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah? Most of the people that work work with me
- 26:19Speaker 2: are friends, friends, family.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Are they all from New Orleans or.
- 26:23Speaker 2: No that they're from LA and New Orleans?
- 26:25Speaker 1: Okay, it's nice. Where did you see yourself going with
- 26:29Speaker 1: sports betting being the number one sports better?
- 26:32Speaker 3: I mean, at some point it's gonna be too big
- 26:33Speaker 3: where I'm going to have to hire like more and
- 26:37Speaker 3: more people. But for now, it's just I'm gonna keep
- 26:40Speaker 3: it at what it is until I have to do more.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I don't really have to.
- 26:45Speaker 1: But your main responsibility, would you say for the company
- 26:48Speaker 1: is it the sports betting, like the picks part.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like the main the main thing.
- 26:53Speaker 3: And I said, I don't have like I got bots
- 26:56Speaker 3: that do everything, so I don't really need like customer
- 26:58Speaker 3: service and all of that, the bock through everything.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Wow, looking at you, Okay, all right, that's pretty interesting.
- 27:07Speaker 1: That's really interesting. So what is a day in the
- 27:14Speaker 1: life of you when you have to go through like
- 27:17Speaker 1: picks and all of that, Like, what does the day
- 27:20Speaker 1: in the life of you look like? Right now?
- 27:22Speaker 3: So I so right now, I try to get up,
- 27:24Speaker 3: I try to go to the gym. Around like nine
- 27:27Speaker 3: ten o'clock, I don't wake up. I ain't the six
- 27:30Speaker 3: o'clock person.
- 27:31Speaker 2: That ain't me. I'm done with that.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Then when I play football, I'm cool with that. Around
- 27:36Speaker 3: nine ten o'clock, I try to wake up. I try
- 27:37Speaker 3: to go to the gym. If I don't, I don't,
- 27:40Speaker 3: but I try to. Okay, after that, come back inside,
- 27:42Speaker 3: get a computer, look at the game, see what's going on,
- 27:45Speaker 3: take the picks, then put them in my chat, and
- 27:49Speaker 3: then after that you watch the game record for YouTube,
- 27:52Speaker 3: and then end the day off and repeat the presses.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Might have a little fun at night, go out to
- 27:56Speaker 3: dinner and whatever, go go out whatever.
- 28:00Speaker 2: It's pretty simple.
- 28:01Speaker 1: It's too much.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I'm really alone that I be with myself for me
- 28:04Speaker 2: and and my people.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Your DJ, DJ one, DJ.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Two, Yeah, all the DJs.
- 28:11Speaker 1: It's like impossible forget your whole crew name. It reminds
- 28:14Speaker 1: me of I know this sounds terrible guys back there
- 28:17Speaker 1: forgive me, but the book from Doctors, Thing one and
- 28:19Speaker 1: thing too.
- 28:20Speaker 2: But it's like that's how it is. It's more of us.
- 28:23Speaker 2: They're just not here.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Are you serious? Like why do you have a thing
- 28:27Speaker 1: for Like.
- 28:28Speaker 2: No, it's not me.
- 28:28Speaker 3: When I met I didn't. When I met them, they
- 28:30Speaker 3: was already DJ. Like I met them like three four
- 28:33Speaker 3: years ago. It was DJ's I'm a DJ. I got
- 28:36Speaker 3: a few more DJs.
- 28:37Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:37Speaker 1: It's just you just you guys. Just do you ever
- 28:41Speaker 1: be out and then someone says they're DJ, you just
- 28:43Speaker 1: be like ah.
- 28:46Speaker 2: No.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I think between our group, I feel like we know,
- 28:49Speaker 3: like by the tone of the DJ, we know who
- 28:50Speaker 3: we're talking to, but they don't. But they don't call
- 28:53Speaker 3: me DJ because they call me depat But them I
- 28:55Speaker 3: could be like D and he'd be like DJ, and
- 28:57Speaker 3: they know who we're talking to like this about a tone.
- 29:00Speaker 2: It's weird.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Yeah, well you gotta breaking down in code. D and
- 29:03Speaker 1: DJ No.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I could say DJ to either one they gonna talk
- 29:06Speaker 2: to just depend on how I said.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Oh, I want to test this, so without looking at
- 29:12Speaker 1: no eye content, you can look down and be like
- 29:14Speaker 1: DJ and then they will know. Okay, I want to
- 29:18Speaker 1: test it out. Can djays come over here just for
- 29:22Speaker 1: one second. I don't care. We're gonna test it out.
- 29:26Speaker 1: We just got to because he showed up here, by
- 29:28Speaker 1: the way, guys, for all y'all listeners, he showed up
- 29:30Speaker 1: in a Lamborghini beautiful car, and DJ one and DJ
- 29:35Speaker 1: two came out the car in addition. But we're gonna
- 29:38Speaker 1: do a little test just just for fun at this point,
- 29:41Speaker 1: can you guys come on camera. You guys are good.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It's come on so okay, just can you come around
- 29:49Speaker 1: here for a second. Okay, and then D pat you're
- 29:52Speaker 1: gonna look at me and we're gonna test this theory
- 29:57Speaker 1: right now. Look, he's he's on work, he don't care.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Come over here. We're gonna do it. We're gonna do it. Yeah,
- 30:03Speaker 1: you're gonna stand like behind dpath for a second. Okay, Now,
- 30:07Speaker 1: we're gonna roll the dice. Okay, don't look at me.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I don't I don't want the mirror catching and these
- 30:12Speaker 1: guys catching a reflection. Okay, I don't even want to
- 30:15Speaker 1: catching the tone in your voice. Say which wait? No,
- 30:19Speaker 1: write down which DJ? All right, don't peek, write down
- 30:24Speaker 1: which DJ you're talking to? Yeah, that's what I was
- 30:29Speaker 1: hoping for. Okay, okay, okay, all right, guys, turn around,
- 30:34Speaker 1: look at the camera. All right, go ahead, talk to
- 30:38Speaker 1: the DJ that you want. Don't look at me, look
- 30:40Speaker 1: at me. Which DJ are you talking to right now?
- 30:43Speaker 2: DJ? Did you send me a video today? Yes? I did.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Wait, No, that's the cheat. Yeah, because technically he's probably
- 30:51Speaker 1: the only one that did the video. He get out
- 30:58Speaker 1: of here. Guys, we just know. I don't like it
- 31:13Speaker 1: was crazy because the one was quiet, but I felt
- 31:15Speaker 1: like that could have been a very suave way of
- 31:18Speaker 1: saying that was good. Is that DJ with the hat?
- 31:23Speaker 1: Just for y'all to know. Okay, okay, so you know
- 31:26Speaker 1: your crew? Okay, day in the life is you do
- 31:29Speaker 1: the picks? What is the most expensive? What is the
- 31:33Speaker 1: one of the first purchases you did? Once you want
- 31:36Speaker 1: enough money to splurge and which one the lamb yours?
- 31:44Speaker 1: It's my dream car, guys, all right? And then what
- 31:49Speaker 1: was like one of the purchases that you purchased that
- 31:52Speaker 1: you wish you could never do again.
- 31:56Speaker 3: Probably just like a bust of design of clothes eyes
- 31:58Speaker 3: no wear no more, Oh thousand dollars pants here a
- 32:03Speaker 3: thousand pans.
- 32:04Speaker 1: What were some of the most painful entrepreneur lessons you
- 32:08Speaker 1: had to learn along the way?
- 32:13Speaker 2: I would just say, learning how to manage money.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Even though you've been managing money for so long.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean in the beginning it was it was
- 32:22Speaker 3: still because I didn't have money. So it's like I was,
- 32:26Speaker 3: I was managing, but I was working to like because
- 32:29Speaker 3: I know, like if I go, if I spend so
- 32:31Speaker 3: much money, I would have to drive for so long
- 32:33Speaker 3: and make it right back. So like that was that
- 32:37Speaker 3: was around the time where I just I don't know,
- 32:39Speaker 3: I just was blowing through it and working to get
- 32:41Speaker 3: it back if I lost it.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Yeah, So what are your foundations when it comes to
- 32:46Speaker 1: managing your money? Like, what are some things you don't
- 32:49Speaker 1: play with when it comes to managing your money?
- 32:52Speaker 3: Well, now me, I try to I have like a
- 32:54Speaker 3: system where it's like Okay, I spend I take fifty percent,
- 32:57Speaker 3: I put it up, I take twenty percent.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I spend it here. No more than ten percent on housing.
- 33:02Speaker 1: No more than five percent on No more than ten
- 33:04Speaker 1: percent on housing. Yeah, that's impressive. That's impressive. Are we
- 33:10Speaker 1: going five percent on car?
- 33:11Speaker 2: Sorry?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Most people, I think housing is almost forty percent, right
- 33:16Speaker 1: to fifty.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Percent, especially in la is high.
- 33:18Speaker 1: In la is high. But you're in la and yours
- 33:21Speaker 1: is that ten percent?
- 33:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 33:23Speaker 1: That's really good for money management, because if you're doing
- 33:27Speaker 1: ten percent, that means you're being extremely conservative or make
- 33:31Speaker 1: an extremely a lot. But that's what I'm saying, you're
- 33:33Speaker 1: not adjusting those Oh right, right, right, Yeah, So I
- 33:36Speaker 1: think that's like you're really good money management. And I
- 33:39Speaker 1: think I'm.
- 33:40Speaker 3: Down't play about that, like I'm gonna put up what
- 33:42Speaker 3: I gotta put up unless I said, unless some extreme
- 33:45Speaker 3: things happen and I have to like dip over here,
- 33:47Speaker 3: I'll do it because I know what I got.
- 33:50Speaker 2: But it's like, I try to stay until it's fifty
- 33:52Speaker 2: percent and put the rest of up.
- 33:54Speaker 1: And when you say put the rest up, now, does
- 33:56Speaker 1: a portion of that go into the bedding or is
- 33:58Speaker 1: it like fifty percent goes into the savings to investing
- 34:02Speaker 1: or just like investing as in stocks or investing crypto. Wow. Okay,
- 34:09Speaker 1: so you do diversify your portfolio.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I have cryptos, I have stocks, I have a
- 34:14Speaker 2: few different things.
- 34:15Speaker 1: And then how much of your money management goes into
- 34:19Speaker 1: the rebetting of your own picks? How's a tiky question.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I haven't.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I don't know the last time I put money into
- 34:26Speaker 3: my account to bet because I just had I've been winning,
- 34:29Speaker 3: so I'll take for my winnings and leave what I
- 34:32Speaker 3: got in.
- 34:32Speaker 2: There and just keep betting on what I have.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Oh, I see what you're saying.
- 34:35Speaker 2: So it's been a while since I actually deposit into
- 34:37Speaker 2: my account.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Because you're just re betting the same money over and over.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. I'm joining the squad, but you're gonna
- 34:44Speaker 1: have to teach me how to do it. But what
- 34:45Speaker 1: happens if someone like me comes in right and we
- 34:49Speaker 1: don't know anything is the expectation that we should know something.
- 34:54Speaker 2: No, a lot of people don't know nothing when they
- 34:56Speaker 2: come to me. But I have like little videos you
- 34:59Speaker 2: can watch.
- 35:00Speaker 3: You have to be you have to be able to
- 35:01Speaker 3: be kind of self sufficient a little bit because I'm
- 35:04Speaker 3: not about to get on the phone with you every
- 35:05Speaker 3: day and like walking through every little step less like
- 35:09Speaker 3: you're really close to me.
- 35:10Speaker 1: But if you too, you can do that, right.
- 35:13Speaker 3: But like somebody just follow me on Instagram and they're like, bro,
- 35:16Speaker 3: I don't know what I'm doing. I'm there's things you
- 35:18Speaker 3: can see to you gotta watch, Like you gotta be
- 35:20Speaker 3: able to watch the videos. I'll see somebody video. I say,
- 35:23Speaker 3: have you watched it?
- 35:23Speaker 2: And they say no?
- 35:25Speaker 3: So why are you asking me what to do? Like
- 35:26Speaker 3: I've sent you what to do and you're not watching it?
- 35:28Speaker 3: Like I can't help you get out yourself.
- 35:30Speaker 1: When you're subscribers subscribe, do they have opportunities to actually
- 35:34Speaker 1: chat with you directly?
- 35:36Speaker 3: It's all about most most of the time, it's buy
- 35:38Speaker 3: services usually. Okay, So don't have time to like reply
- 35:42Speaker 3: to hundreds of messages every day?
- 35:43Speaker 1: Hundreds? How many subscribers do you have now, if you
- 35:46Speaker 1: don't mind me asking a couple of thousands?
- 35:48Speaker 2: Wow?
- 35:49Speaker 1: Okay, So now you have your mainstream subscription income, and
- 35:53Speaker 1: then you have your money. That's so your money is
- 35:55Speaker 1: just making money for your your money is actually making
- 35:58Speaker 1: money for it at this point.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Yeah, right, but that's how you make your money work
- 36:04Speaker 2: for you.
- 36:04Speaker 1: I supposed to be what do you see? The next
- 36:06Speaker 1: phase stages are in scaling, like how do you scale
- 36:11Speaker 1: even more?
- 36:13Speaker 2: At this point, I don't know.
- 36:14Speaker 3: I got to sit down and really figure that out,
- 36:17Speaker 3: maybe starting an actual company where I hire betters to
- 36:22Speaker 3: bet under me and maybe showing them how to market.
- 36:25Speaker 1: And I don't know, I feel like you're so good
- 36:28Speaker 1: as an entrepreneur and financial management you can also do
- 36:32Speaker 1: like speaking on the pivots and all that. Because the
- 36:35Speaker 1: subscription model, sometimes people don't roll the dice on themselves
- 36:39Speaker 1: and say I'm going to go the extra model and
- 36:40Speaker 1: do a subscription That in of itself I think takes courage.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Definitely, it does.
- 36:45Speaker 3: You gotta you still got to still still be gotta
- 36:47Speaker 3: willing to bet on yourself. But if you're sport's betting
- 36:50Speaker 3: not it's not a ten year pay.
- 36:51Speaker 2: For a subscription.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, so you think that if.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Especially if it's only twenty fifteen do but now you're
- 36:58Speaker 2: a hundred.
- 36:59Speaker 3: But even a hundred if you're if if you can't
- 37:02Speaker 3: pay one hundred dollars took for some good pig, you
- 37:04Speaker 3: shouldn't betting because you should betle to make that back
- 37:06Speaker 3: in the month.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, true, especially if you're losing.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Yeah, what is the biggest bet? Do you get to
- 37:14Speaker 1: see what they do? You don't get to see I
- 37:16Speaker 1: only see it if they send it to me.
- 37:17Speaker 3: But I can't see what they do. But if somebody
- 37:20Speaker 3: sometimes they hit me like bro a big bag today,
- 37:22Speaker 3: Like I'm like, that's what's up?
- 37:24Speaker 1: Do they ever like put some money in a tip jar?
- 37:26Speaker 1: Like hey thanks?
- 37:29Speaker 3: Maybe like two or three times, but it's not it's
- 37:31Speaker 3: not often where they send me it two But I
- 37:33Speaker 3: don't really, I don't care.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Do you have mentors?
- 37:36Speaker 2: Do I have a mentors? No? I don't have any mentors?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Wow?
- 37:39Speaker 2: Why oh yeah, I never had anything. I probably should.
- 37:43Speaker 2: I probably be a lot further ahead.
- 37:44Speaker 1: But are you in a tray? You are you? Guys?
- 37:48Speaker 1: A tray? You are you? Guys?
- 37:49Speaker 2: I met him when I first moved there, like he
- 37:51Speaker 2: was my neighbor.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Oh, he was your neighbor. But there's no like mentor
- 37:55Speaker 1: type because you guys both are entrepreneurs, do you guys?
- 37:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but it wasn't No, it's not a mentor thing.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Just that's like like a friendship.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he's actually the.
- 38:03Speaker 3: One that told me somebody to hit my car when
- 38:05Speaker 3: they first hit it, and I was like, what when
- 38:09Speaker 3: outside totally?
- 38:10Speaker 1: Do you still have the Mustange? Okay? Let me said,
- 38:15Speaker 1: I still have a picture of your total car.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I would have been happy if I got a check
- 38:20Speaker 1: for a total out, because sometimes you can total out
- 38:23Speaker 1: a car and you can actually keep the car and
- 38:26Speaker 1: get the check. Do you know what I'm talking about? Look,
- 38:30Speaker 1: he's trying to find I'm.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Trying to find it was that was so long ago.
- 38:32Speaker 3: I'm gonna see if I can find it real quick.
- 38:34Speaker 3: It's right when I first moved a trying to go.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Back to like you must have been.
- 38:40Speaker 2: I was pissed because I was like, what am I
- 38:42Speaker 2: gonna do?
- 38:43Speaker 1: But but you had the Mustang?
- 38:45Speaker 2: Because you can't do it in the Mustang?
- 38:48Speaker 1: Okay, okay, So what advice do you give to young
- 38:53Speaker 1: people trying to pursue what you're trying to do?
- 38:58Speaker 3: I would just say just keep you gotta keep going,
- 39:01Speaker 3: even you gotta take take the losses with the wins
- 39:03Speaker 3: and keep going because people will win and they'll blow
- 39:06Speaker 3: it all and then they'll lose and they be like
- 39:07Speaker 3: this is not for me, But then they forgot what
- 39:09Speaker 3: got me in the first place.
- 39:11Speaker 2: You just gotta keep going.
- 39:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and this doesn't feel like work to you because
- 39:15Speaker 1: you genuinely enjoy I have fun every day. You only
- 39:18Speaker 1: do football, or you do other.
- 39:19Speaker 2: S football, basketball, and baseball.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Oh okay, did you have picks for the games of
- 39:26Speaker 1: baseball recently?
- 39:27Speaker 2: Yeah? And I cashed out Game seven.
- 39:32Speaker 3: I had the Blue Jays plus one and a half
- 39:34Speaker 3: and they lost by one. But I kind of think
- 39:37Speaker 3: it either it was gonna win or that just gonna
- 39:39Speaker 3: win by one. So that's why I took that too.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I don't even understand how people can do that, like
- 39:45Speaker 1: what bet bet by the scores and stuff like that.
- 39:47Speaker 2: By one, I mean, that's that's the that's the that's
- 39:52Speaker 2: the basic that's the basic model. So basically, I don't
- 39:54Speaker 2: make the lines. The sports would make the lines. You
- 39:56Speaker 2: take either side. So like in that specific game, it
- 39:59Speaker 2: was plus one and a half for the Blue Jays,
- 40:01Speaker 2: so they couldn't they could lose or they could win,
- 40:03Speaker 2: but they just couldn't lose by more than one, and
- 40:05Speaker 2: they lost by exactly one.
- 40:07Speaker 1: So that's how you do it.
- 40:08Speaker 2: So I went on that bit.
- 40:10Speaker 1: But they determine the they determined Oh, I thought you
- 40:13Speaker 1: just like it would be like by two.
- 40:16Speaker 2: No, I don't make the lines. I mean, but that's
- 40:18Speaker 2: part of what I do too. I know how to
- 40:20Speaker 2: make the lines.
- 40:21Speaker 3: And if I see an error in with the lines
- 40:22Speaker 3: that they make, then I go make my pickspace off
- 40:25Speaker 3: of what they make. So if I say, if they
- 40:28Speaker 3: say the line, the line is seven and a half,
- 40:31Speaker 3: but I say, no, the line should be three and
- 40:33Speaker 3: a half, Okay, let me go ahead and take this side,
- 40:35Speaker 3: because I think.
- 40:36Speaker 2: There's the error here.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Honestly, your business is very interesting.
- 40:43Speaker 2: But it's very easy for me.
- 40:45Speaker 1: Well it's for you, but you spent years, and that's
- 40:48Speaker 1: the thing. People have to understand. You're very young. I
- 40:51Speaker 1: don't want to say your age is very young, guys,
- 40:54Speaker 1: but with that being said, it's like you can't discount
- 40:58Speaker 1: you spent like four or five years trial and error,
- 41:02Speaker 1: on top of betting your own money, on top of Okay,
- 41:05Speaker 1: not only do I have this thing that I've been
- 41:07Speaker 1: working out the kings amongst my friends, we're going to
- 41:10Speaker 1: step it up a notch and add subscriptions because then
- 41:12Speaker 1: now you're adding a whole another stream of income. So
- 41:15Speaker 1: I don't know it took you years. I would say,
- 41:17Speaker 1: like an average of how many years until you started
- 41:20Speaker 1: really living comfortable as an entrepreneur from.
- 41:23Speaker 2: When I got of contact twenty fourteen until twenty about
- 41:26Speaker 2: eight years?
- 41:27Speaker 1: Eight years. Yeah, but the last couple of years you've
- 41:30Speaker 1: been making like red, it's been crazy. You've been making
- 41:33Speaker 1: enough to buy a lamborgan.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yours, it's been crazy, right, might be something else?
- 41:37Speaker 1: Well, are you buying real estate yet? Please say yes?
- 41:40Speaker 1: Please say you already bought some real estate?
- 41:41Speaker 2: What I used to do. I used to do real
- 41:43Speaker 2: estate when I was in the ORMs when I didn't
- 41:45Speaker 2: really if they have it like that I was doing.
- 41:46Speaker 2: I do know. If you heard the wholesaling okay, where you.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Like buy the house door knocking, you buy the house.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Right basically basically door not really door knocking, but kind
- 41:56Speaker 3: of like it, like you sending letters in different shit,
- 41:59Speaker 3: getting contracts, then reselling the contracts to bigger, higher bitters.
- 42:02Speaker 1: I was doing that too, okay, Yeah, see you have
- 42:05Speaker 1: a good sales background too. Do you think that played
- 42:06Speaker 1: a big role?
- 42:07Speaker 2: Definitely?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Sales.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Yeah, if you can sell, you can sell. I can
- 42:10Speaker 2: sell you. Just theory right here right now.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Yeah, sales is like the baseline of your entrepreneurship right there. Okay,
- 42:19Speaker 1: So what were you going to say about real estate?
- 42:21Speaker 1: Are you buying? Do you currently own real.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Estate right now? No? I don't own any houses.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Not even in New Orleans.
- 42:28Speaker 2: No, not right now. You're not trying to Right now
- 42:31Speaker 2: the perfect time to buy?
- 42:32Speaker 1: Why because the interest rates, interest.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Rates, like just the whole market right now is just
- 42:36Speaker 3: it's everywhere. Okay, I can respect, I will when the
- 42:40Speaker 3: time is right.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I feel like it's coming really soon though, really soon.
- 42:43Speaker 2: For real estate, I think right now. Crypto is like
- 42:52Speaker 2: the wave.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Do you have a lot of bitcoin right now?
- 42:55Speaker 3: I don't have any bitcoin, but I have other coins
- 42:58Speaker 3: like x r x, RP. Have a theory you might
- 43:00Speaker 3: have like going to have I have a bunch of coins.
- 43:03Speaker 3: But I feel like I look for what's going to
- 43:06Speaker 3: be the most profitable, and right now I think that's
- 43:08Speaker 3: more profitable than real estate.
- 43:10Speaker 2: In the next ten years, that's gonna be more profitable
- 43:13Speaker 2: than reestate.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Really yea. But even then, so it does allow you
- 43:22Speaker 1: to lock in, like like right now, you're renting, right
- 43:27Speaker 1: your rents are just going to continue to keep going
- 43:29Speaker 1: up and up and up and up.
- 43:30Speaker 3: There's God, They're actually going down right now, really yeah,
- 43:33Speaker 3: in LA because the market the way the market is
- 43:35Speaker 3: right now with all this stuff going on, government shut downs,
- 43:38Speaker 3: Trump doing all this stuff is going down.
- 43:41Speaker 2: But I like range just because I can just move
- 43:43Speaker 2: around like to.
- 43:45Speaker 1: You're also still very young too. Yeah, you get to
- 43:47Speaker 1: explore all right. Well, thank you guys for tuning in.
