- Courtney Her Mind On Mission: Hey friend, welcome back to the Mission for More podcast. I'm your host Courtney, the face behind her mind on mission, and I'm so grateful that you are here today. Today's episode is for the woman who loves God deeply, but if you're being honest with yourself, you're feeling a little stretch thin. I am so excited about this next Holy Habits Challenge. We're doing another 75 Holy, so for 75 days we have five daily tasks that we check in on. There's an accountability group, the challenges are free. We really do this to grow closer with Christ and in community and connection with each other, and that accountability piece really helps us to grow closer towards the goals that we're setting for ourselves. We're doing something different this time, and I wanted to really wrap this into today's episode. are doing a book study. So we are going to read Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. It such a good book. I really believe that this allows women in season to feel so seen and so heard and so understood while also being so challenged continue to move forward in all that God has for us. So you want to be in the word consistently. ⁓ want to pray more intentionally, you want to feel close to God throughout your day, maybe motherhood, marriage, work, responsibilities, the mental load of life just leaves you feeling tired and you feel like you just can't get to that place that you want to be. I want to invite you to head to hermindonmission.com and join the free Holy Habits 75 Holy Challenge. Let's dive into today's episode. So I mentioned feeling stretched thin, feeling tired. If that's you, I want you to know that you are 100 % not alone. You can take somebody starting season, you can take someone who's in the middle, you can take somebody who's on the mountaintop, and I guarantee you in the ebbs and flows of life, they will feel tired at some point in the journey that they're currently on. We all do. And there are moments and seasons where we feel a little stretched thin and we have to reprioritize and really get our heart purified and reset, refocus to be able to move forward in all that God has for us. If you did not listen to last week's episode, highly encourage you to go back just talking about being on mission and how do you know that you're walking in the mission that God has for you? It's really empowering podcast episode and not something that I normally do here And I I encourage you to go back and listen to it to really ask yourself What is it that is asking me to do in this season? And what is my actual mission and how do I reprioritize really get in alignment with all that? He's asking me to do I feel like that is step one of kind of walking forward with having a Mary heart and a Martha world and the two episodes really complement each other nicely so I hope that you feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and encouraged as you continue to listen in. So today we're really going to go into how to balance faith with daily responsibilities and what it really looks like to stay spiritually grounded when your life feels really full. And then how we can begin to cultivate what is the having a Mary heart in a Martha world, really purifying our heart and remaining at the feet of Jesus while still having responsibilities. Because if you're a mom, the responsibilities don't end. If you have a job, you have responsibilities to attend to. can't just read your Bible all day long or listen to worship all day long when you have phone calls and meetings to run or to be in. And so how do we of balance the two of those. I'm excited to be able to do this book and study it and really get into the nitty-gritty of it as we go through the 75 Holy Challenge because I really do believe that it's going to take the challenge to the next level because of the way that Joanna writes. When I was reading this book for the first time, I'm telling you I have never felt so seen and heard while also being like, okay, we don't stay here. Like this is normal to feel this way and I felt like I was no longer alone in the way that I was feeling, but I also felt like I shouldn't stay here. Like there's there's more for me that God has and this is not where he wants me to land But it's okay to feel these feelings in the season that I'm in Let's talk about that tension that we all feel I think one of the biggest struggles for Christian women today is a tension between Saying like I want to be spiritually disciplined and then being like my life is so full I have no idea where else to stick anything because the reality is you do have responsibilities and having responsibilities are not wrong if I'm having Children for the glory of God. That's not wrong But having four kids who are seven and under, it's getting easier as some of the older ones get older and they're more independent. But it's still a lot. It's still a lot. My almost two year old has been a Velcro baby lately and just not wanting me to set her down, going through growth spurts, getting molars. And so I have really felt stretched thin when I am like in that motherhood role ⁓ and it's okay to have those feelings. But I think what gets us through those moments of tension is really recognizing whether or not we are being spiritually disciplined and we're maintaining those things that we know that we need to sit at the feet of Jesus, to worship, to pray, to repent. We really need in order to handle the fullness of the season that we're in. Motherhood is not a distraction and I think so many times that's a lie that we are fed by society. Kids are a distraction. I've seen people call them horrible names on social media, honestly to the point where it makes me cry. children little gremlins or I don't know I don't even want to go into the names that I've seen because I don't even want to plant that in your head they are not that they are not a distraction it is a beautiful thing to raise children for the glory of God it's a beautiful thing to be busy with these kids that need us so much to the point where we feel like we can't get in our quiet time guess what you might have to realign your expectations. Your quiet time might not be quiet for a little bit and that's okay. And then you'll get the moment where it is quiet. And I love the book, Secrets of a Secret Place. It is more of a daily devotional, but I read it as a book one time during one of my discipleship groups. And there is a line in that book that has forever stuck with me. One thousand failed attempts is worth that one encounter with the Lord. And if I have thousand times, it never even gets to a thousand in my life, praise God. of a thousand times where I am trying and failing to get this one-on-one quiet time with no interruption, where my kids aren't waking up, because you can say, oh, mama, just wake up early. When? When? When the two-year-old is up at 3 in the morning and the other one is sick, and if they hear me get up at 5 30, they're up with me. When? Some children don't sleep until 8, and you have moms that really can't find the time because you're up with some of them through the night. They're up with you when you wake up early, and they stay up late because some of them can't fall asleep. than one child and it's not picture perfect with the sleep training, you do run into that and it's okay. So don't feel bad about that tension. It's not a distraction, it's just a tension point and we have to rework around it. A thousand failed attempts though is worth that one time when you're on your way to the grocery store and you are absolutely wrecked in the car because of what the Lord is doing and you appreciate it more than the person that might even be getting that every single day. So don't diminish your quiet time or your attempts at quiet time because of the season that you're in. Maybe you're The job that you're in is not spiritual. You don't get to talk about God while you're at your place of work and you have a lot of things that are spinning and you're trying to fulfill these responsibilities and meet these requirements and get to this quota or whatever it may be in your position that you hold and maybe It's difficult. It's difficult to have a full quiet time before work and then when you get home from work you want to pour into your kids or you've got this group that you've got to go to or whatever it is. Whatever it is maybe it just feels like ⁓ my goodness like I can't do this and be the Christian that I want to be. That is a lie. We paint this picture perfect idea of what we think that Christianity needs to look like in order to be a quote-unquote good Christian. I'm telling you if you are attempting to have a If you are attempting to live right by God, if you are attempting to obey and not sin, God sees that even in the middle of a busy season. And I just want you to know that you don't have to diminish that or explain it as a distraction or I don't know, whatever the lie is that the enemy is trying to plant in your head about the season that you're in. Caring for your home, for your family, attending to the needs of your husband, the people that you're involved with, all of that deeply matters to God. And if we say that it's a distraction, It's taking away from that being holy work and I talked about that last week when I was talking about being on mission Even if your mission in this season is to wash the dirty clothes and wipe the dirty faces and clean the spaghetti off the floor You are doing holy work that is work that God has put before you and you are still on mission in that and when we shift our perspective To seeing it as being on mission. Maybe you're the only Christian in your workplace right now You are a light there that is a mission field for you And maybe it's not preaching the gospel from your desk every day But you just loving the way that Jesus loves that is going to take you so far in your walk with God and a testimony will be built there But will you see it that way? Will you allow for God to build the testimony? Are you sitting there with your arms folded saying this is such a distraction? This is not the way that I want to live as a Christian I don't know what I'm doing here and you're sitting there complaining and you're missing the moment that maybe God has before you don't let the feeling of tension Distract you from what the Lord is doing in your life. You're calling it a distraction, but are you? allowing it as a distraction. You know that's that's really the pivotal point there. Maybe it is a distraction because you're allowing it to be one but really it's it's your mission field right now. I think often we get shifted into this constant like doing and being and going mode never long enough to really be with Jesus to hear from him. But then all of a sudden this guilt comes in and we feel heavy and we feel like I just want throw in the towel and everything that doing in life. That's because we're not balancing it out with that idea of having a Mary heart and a Martha. world. We are now shifting into the Martha mentality and when we shift into that and we're not careful to recognize it, it can take us into this this place of thinking, why can't I be consistent? Why does my quiet time keep falling off? Why am I failing? Why do I feel distant from God? Is God even near to me? Does God even speak to me anymore? Do I hear from the Lord? Can I understand His word? Why is this feeling so complicated? And we sit there and we start to mull over these lies, but the truth is, and this is what I want to anchor so deep in us today, God is not asking you to do more for Him. He's just inviting you to be with Him. I talk about that so often as we throw away perfection, we really just want to sit in His presence. overflow course. You've heard me say this before. If you've been in the Holy Habits challenges, you've heard me say this before because I believe it wholeheartedly. God is inviting us into His presence right where we are, right in the middle of our lives, right in the middle of the messy moments, right in the middle of motherhood, right in the middle of being the only Christian in the workplace that we're in right now. He is inviting us to be with Him. When things get tense, what do do? What do you do? Do you feel like, okay, I just have to figure out how to do more so I can take care of this and I can feel better here and I can, no. Can you sit with God? Can you pause and can you sit with God and can you allow him to refill you? Because that is what is going to prevent us from shifting into this Martha mentality and being like, everything. I don't want to scoff at everything that is before me because I am in this place of thinking, why me? Why am I here? Why am I failing? What am I doing wrong? Why can't I be consistent? Instead, when we start to feel that way, how can we shift our prayers and pause for a moment with the Lord? Maybe you're at work. sit there and pray at your cubicle, go to the bathroom and pray to God for a moment and really re-center and refocus with him. Maybe you're a mom and you're in the thick of motherhood and everybody's crying. I had that moment yesterday. Literally everybody was crying and my two year old would not stop. Just would not stop. Like she was actually like hyperventilating and I felt myself start to actually get irritated, which I normally don't get irritated when they're just crying and being kids, but I felt really pulled in multiple directions all day long yesterday. And so when she was crying I consoled her for a moment and then she started ramping back up again. I brought her into a room. I set her in her crib. I said I'm leaving the light on. It's not nap time. Mommy's not leaving you. You need a minute and mommy needs a minute. And I went I just went to the bathroom really quick. I prayed. God I don't know how to handle this. I need you to help me to handle it. I went back in there less than five minutes. She was in there and she was crying while she was in there and then she would pause for a moment probably to listen if I was coming. And then she would cry again and I went back in there and I was more grounded and rooted in what the Lord wanted me to do and I feel like she was excited to see me instead of like sometimes they get to the point where they're crying they don't even know why they're crying and they're just crying to cry and you pick them up and they're crying and you set them down and they're crying they just keep crying so I picked her up and I feel like she was so happy to reconnect with me I was so excited to reconnect with her and we just sat there and I rocked her and I said it's not nap time but we're gonna sit here I'm gonna rock you until you are completely calmed down. I love you and mommy's not mad at you mommy needed a minute, you needed a minute. These are the exact words I said to her and she's probably maybe not even understanding it almost two years old. But guess what? I was talking her through it because I was talking me through it and just said, let's just pray and let's go back downstairs and we're going to go meet up with everybody else. We're going to play for a little bit and then we'll come back up here for a nap. It's been a hard morning, but that's okay. Mommy loves you. Even on a hard morning, there is nothing that will make me love you less and there is nothing that will make God love you less. And she just took this big deep breath and she curled into my chest and I just rocked her for a few minutes until I felt her breathing regulate and then we went back downstairs and she was fine and then she went to bed early for nap time because she was just exhausted. I'm telling you she's just been through it. She's going through a growth spurt, getting the molars like I said and guess what? It's okay to have a hard day. It's okay that I had a hard day. It's okay that she was having a hard day and it's okay for me to not feel like okay how do I spread myself even more thin to meet the needs of every single child right now? No. Instead, okay what can I do so that I can get a moment Alone with God and re-center and refocus so that we can move forward together in a better way because I didn't want to get to the point where I felt like I was going to yell or like I was mad like I didn't want to feel that way and I think if we are able to catch ourselves in those moments having that that Mary versus Martha heart posture shift is so important. If you've been in the church for any amount of time then you've heard the story of Mary and Martha and I've kind of talked about it a little bit but let me pause here and kind of go through it if this is new to you. Martha she's busy. She's serving, she's preparing, she's doing all the right things. She's, I mean, I think she's being an incredible host and I think it's okay to want to serve in that way. However, Jesus is here. Jesus is here and Mary is just sitting at the feet of Jesus and she's present and she's still and she's focused on him and she's not worried about preparing and doing and Martha's getting frustrated and she's like Jesus tell her to help me. I mean, come on. What are you doing? She's just sitting there doing nothing like you can envision the thought process that's going on here as well, right? And Jesus responds in a way that completely changes her thinking and reframes everything. He is saying Martha your word and distracted by many things but only one thing necessary. Only one thing is important right now and Mary is doing that important thing. Let that sink in. Only one thing is necessary in that moment. All these people are coming and they need to be fed and things need to be tended to. But guess what? All of that can wait. All of that can wait. People can grow a little hungry. That's okay. Jesus is saying there's only one thing that is necessary right now. Not a perfect routine. Not making sure we're checking every box. Not doing more. Not having the best spread on the table. Just sitting and being with Him was the necessary thing in that moment. And I think that's where we get it twisted. ⁓ Faith another task on our to-do list and it's okay that there are seasons where it feels like a checkbox I've said that before and I'll say it again every time I'm talking to anybody because building discipline in our life sometimes looks like having a checkbox But there is a heart posture behind it Are you doing it just to check the box and doing it to do it or are you? Doing it because you're like I know that this is something that I need and I'm trusting that the Lord will fill me in it that heart posture is the change that we need and Instead of saying okay, this is just this checkbox that I'm doing because I want to be a good Christian when we say God This feels like a checkbox right now, and I don't want it to feel that way But I'm gonna keep doing this because I know that this is the thing that is going to fill me Even if it doesn't feel like it's filling me in this moment. I'm gonna sit here with you I want to sit here with you And if you have extra time even saying God I am going to sit here until I feel like I have been filled up with you until I feel a Renewing and a refreshing until I can get this bitterness out of my mind or out of my heart until I can forgive this person until until I can go and... You know feel like I am refreshed in my motherhood whatever it is instead we say, okay God you are the source that is sustaining me and everything that I'm doing you are the necessary thing in this moment and sometimes Okay, we've got to be to work on time. We've got kids that are crying and need us So maybe it's not an hour long sitting there and releasing all these things to the Lord but if you start your day that way and if you continue to recognize when you get in that Martha mentality and you want to shift back into that Mary mode ⁓ and ⁓ and be able to sit with him, there's this thing that happens where we recognize it in the moment and we release it to the Lord just like I did when I set the baby in the bed and I made sure she was safe. I went to the bathroom really quick and just re-centered myself and then came back out and walked over to her room and picked her back up. I didn't have an hour. I can't leave her in there for an hour. I can't leave my kids unattended to for an hour while I work through whatever I need to work through. No, but I trust that the Lord is going to refill me. And then every moment yesterday where I felt it come back in and creeped back in. I'm getting frustrated again. I feel overwhelmed again. I'm like, God help me. God help me. What do I need in this moment? I feel really cranky. I don't like that I'm feeling cranky today and I just had an off day yesterday and that's okay. But here's the thing is when we surrender that first time it makes it easier to surrender and remember who our source is every single time after that. And then we keep going back to him and we keep going back to him and maybe you know how I said a thousand failed attempts is worth that one moment with the Lord. What if Instead of of having a thousand failed attempts you made that first choice instead of doing more being more going going going you paused you reconnected with the Lord you reframed your thinking you purified your heart and now you have a thousand Moments with the Lord throughout the rest of the day and it's like wow I was doing the dishes and the Lord brought this up and I forgave this person and then I was folding the laundry and this thing happened and I was like God why am I reacting this way and he showed me this thing about myself you can have so good moments with the Lord as you're doing the things that you need to do in the season that you're in. And I think that we tell ourselves that we can't get rid of that lie and ask God to meet you in the middle of folding clothes, in the middle of parenting, in the middle of cooking dinner, in the middle of driving to work, in the middle of a meeting. You can be in the middle of a meeting and jot down on the side of your notepad what the Lord is telling you and then hop back right into that meeting and be present there. So what does balancing faith actually look like? I think that's probably the big question of the day. That's the big question that so many women struggle with every single day. Like, I want to sit with the Lord, but I also have these things to do. Where is the balance? And what does this look like to live it out practically? Well, let's be real. You're probably not in a season and many of us won't have these seasons. Maybe until we're empty nesters with no job, we're retired and all we have to do is sit with the Lord. But you're probably not going to sit in silence for three hours every single morning to with the Lord and have this beautiful quiet time and study the Word and worship and have this like beautiful big long ⁓ moment with the Lord, right? But balancing is not about being perfect. It's not about having three hours. It's about integrating the Lord into every single thing. that we're doing in our lives. It's about submitting to God every single decision that we have to make, every single thing that feels like it's weighing heavy. Yesterday when I had my off day there was a lot that was going through my head that was weighing heavy and it was just like normal things. Balancing faith isn't about perfection. It's about integrating God in our everyday moments of our lives and when we do that when we invite God into our morning instead of waiting for the perfect quiet time when we talk to him while we're doing the dishes while we you know play worship music in the background as you know, the the things are just going in our home, you know, we're folding laundry. We're feeding little babies. We are cleaning up a mess that spilled. I don't know yesterday my My daughter got into the cabinet that is locked and somehow dumped out and we have like natural dishwasher pods So there's like no plastic coating around them or anything. Well, she dumped out the whole bag and some of them broke open so there's like dishwasher powder everywhere and I'm in the middle of this mess and I'm like, God, please help me. Please help me. I'm getting really frustrated. Every time I turn around, I feel like another mess is being made and I can't keep up with it. And I'm trying to meet the needs of my kids and I'm gonna have to make lunch soon. And I just like need things to slow down for five minutes. God, will you meet me here right now? I turned on worship music, like open your Bible for 10 minutes instead of skipping it because you feel like you can't do it if you don't have 30 minutes. Whispering prayers throughout the middle of your day. I do this every single day. God help me. There are moments where I don't want to get on a meeting and I'm God help me give me the energy to do this. Give me the words to speak here There are moments where I don't want to break up the fight between the kids and I'm like, ⁓ my goodness Can they just figure it out themselves? God help me. God help me Help me to navigate what to do as a mom here and it's shifting from I don't have time for God or this isn't looking the way I want it to so I'm just going to give up and saying no God is with me in everything that I am doing. Will I acknowledge him in everything? Will I submit to him and everything because he is there in everything Matthew 28 20 he's always with us and when we start to live from that place everything is going to shift and change and that's why I want to invite you into the 75 holy challenge I have heard the testimonies I have seen the fruit in these women's lives who have implemented these things and saw the change as they're going through these challenges and I'm telling you it just gets me so fueled up and so excited because if you're sitting here thinking okay I want this but I need structure or I need accountability I need some sort of reset that is what the 75 holy Is we are starting this Sunday. This is not about legalism. It's not about perfection It's just about pursuing the Lord and being present with him. It's about daily time with God It's about asking God how do I nourish my body because if I have a food allergy I can't follow the same diet plan as sister Susie Okay, and so she's following her thing that the Lord is leading her to do I'm following my thing, but we're also holding each other accountable in it and I'm moving my body I'm getting up. I'm moving I'm stewarding my body well because I know that it's going to help It's gonna help my mood. It's going to help me feel connected with the Lord when I submit to him and I do it for him Because I want to honor him and I want to keep my body healthy I want to keep up with my kids all these things for the glory of God And then we're going to dive into reading or listening to a nonfiction Christian podcast every single day Ten minutes a day ten minutes of character building most the time you're gonna want to sit longer in that book for more than ten minutes because it is so good and this time we have a book study so it's gonna help us with the reading and I can't wait to go through the book with you. On Wednesdays we will have book study time where I'll go live and you guys will be able to give feedback and comments and chit chat back and forth to talk about the things that we are recognizing in ourselves or as life lessons through the book. And then we are going to reflect every single day. Reflect, pray, praise, worship, repent wherever the Lord leads and really just connecting with Him and asking God how do I go from trying to have this perfect routine to just having a rhythm with you in every single moment of every single day and all the things that you're asking me to do and all the things that you're asking me to set down. How can I do this together with you Father? And we are going to come out of this having a merry heart and a Martha world. I cannot wait to dive deeper together. The book study, I want to encourage you even if you're not a reader, you don't have to read the book. There is an audiobook that you can get. There's a book with ⁓ questions at the back of it for more of a like Bible study and we'll be pulling from those questions. You will be able to glean from the things that are being pulled from the book even if you're not reading it. So I just want to encourage you don't let the book stop you being a part of the challenge if you feel called to step into it because you will still get something from the questions that are being asked from the themes of the week and from being encouraged just to have a merry heart in a Martha world. And truly if you have ever felt like I'm doing all the things but I also feel really spiritually dry or I don't know how to slow down enough to actually connect with God, I promise you that the teachings from this book are going to meet you right where you are. It really dives into the tension between doing and being and how to prioritize intimacy with without abandoning the responsibilities that we have. Again, we can't just leave our kids without feeding them. We can't not get groceries. We can't not clean the floors when a spill happens. But we reorder our hearts, not just our schedules, to be able to connect with God through every moment of every day. It's not about becoming less productive even. It's about balancing our productivity and being present with the Lord and surrendering all parts of our day to Him so that we have a pure heart while we do it. And again, if you have goals for yourself, accountability is key. The are free, the accountability group is free. a really great way to say, hey, I'm struggling in this and people will check in with you and it's so beautiful to see the connections that have been made in that group to be able to hold each other accountable there as well. So this is my formal invitation to you. If you've ever felt disconnected, if you've been craving consistency, if you've been stuck in the cycle of starting and stopping over and over and over again, join us. Start fresh this Sunday. No pressure, no expectations other than God is going to meet you there. God is not waiting for you to get everything all together for you to have your ducks in a row. He's just inviting you to closer to him to have a merry heart in the Martha world right here, right now in the middle of your real and probably full, very beautiful life. So let me pray as we end this episode and as I invite you into this challenge. I'm so excited for what the Lord is going to do. Heavenly Father, we just thank you. We thank you that you knew that we would need this story of Mary and Martha. You knew that we would need these examples because there are things that we have as responsibilities in our life and there are moving and spinning plates that we need to keep up with. But Lord, if we're doing it all in our own strength and we're not doing it as unto you for your glory or with you alongside us, it just becomes doing. And I don't want to get stuck in this place of just I want to get stuck in a place of being with you and doing for you in a way that makes me feel like I am so connected to you in every single moment of every single day and I pray that over my sisters today as they enter into this challenge and even if they're not doing the challenge just meet them where they are today father and help them to have a reconnected heart with you father help them to purify their heart and to not look at the things that they have on their plate or their to-do list as a Moment but have them look at it as a okay God you're gonna get me through these next couple of things that I need to do and I can't wait to see how you carry me through it and you are going to build testimonies in their lives as you continue to give them the grace, the energy, the strength, the mental clarity, whatever it is that they need to carry out the things that you're asking them to in this season, Father. And they're gonna look back and say, I could only have done that with the Lord. And it's going to build a testimony in them that's going to encourage the next person that they get to encourage with the story that you are building now. So I just pray, Lord, as we continue into these holy habits challenges and as we continue to purify our hearts before you, Father, I just pray Lord that you will just carry us through that you will lead and guide us that you will show us how to nourish our bodies better that you will show us where to connect with you deeper throughout the little moments of every day that you will show us where we can turn the scoffing into worship into connecting with you that you will help us God to Be in a place of moving our bodies regularly to steward our bodies well to keep a healthy vessel for the Holy Spirit and to say so so so connected with your Holy Spirit God we thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit to be able to and guide us and to bring the gentle conviction and to be a guiding light in this world. This world that is so confusing God at times, this world that is so heavy God at times that you are leading us as Christian women to do the things that you have asked us to do to walk out the call in our lives Father and to really just honor you in the process. Let us not grow so busy and overwhelmed in the doing and the being and the going places and the accolades or the recognition the rewards that we miss you in the middle of Father I pray God that you will just continue to realign our paths so that we can be so submitted to you hear from you so clearly be so encouraged by you so challenged by you father that nothing else matters except for your approval nothing else matters except for are we connecting with you that everything else is just an add-on father but if we don't meet with you first if we don't have that connection with you we're really doing it all for nothing and so I just pray God that for the woman who feels so spiritually dry that this next season will be a season of connecting with you in new ways that your Word will come alive in her life in new ways Father that it won't feel dry when she opens it but it will feel like a life lesson set out before her every single day and she's like this can't be true I went from feeling like I don't even want to read the Word to like I can't wait to see what God has for me tomorrow when I get back into it or tonight when I get back into it for a second time in the day and just give us that that fuel that fire that hunger for your Word Father I just pray Lord that you continue to guide us that you continue to connect us that you continue to help us in every area of our lives, Lord, so that we can give you glory in all that we do.
