Transcript
- 0:06Speaker 1: Well, hey Angel fans, and welcome back to Halo territory.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I am Mike D. Giovanna, former Early Times Baseball writer
- 0:12Speaker 1: and host of the show, joined by my regular co
- 0:14Speaker 1: host Mark Trumbo, the former Angel slugger. Well, we're taping
- 0:19Speaker 1: on Sunday afternoon, and what a while finish in San
- 0:21Speaker 1: Francisco for the Angels, who held onto a four to
- 0:24Speaker 1: three victory to avoid being swept by the Giants in
- 0:28Speaker 1: a game they won in part because San Francisco ran
- 0:31Speaker 1: out of abs challenges in the bottom of the night.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So there's plenty to discuss about the weekend in San Francisco.
- 0:38Speaker 1: But first we want to address some trade rooms that
- 0:40Speaker 1: have popped up in these last few days, the first
- 0:43Speaker 1: one involving shortstop zach Netto. Now this screenshot was aggregated
- 0:49Speaker 1: by MLB Trade Rumors, which does a really nice job
- 0:52Speaker 1: of capturing all these things this time of year. Says
- 0:55Speaker 1: the Red Sox are interested in Angels shortstop zach Netto,
- 0:58Speaker 1: report Ken Rosenthal Willis Salmon of The Athletic. They report
- 1:02Speaker 1: that Boston also checked in with the Angels about Neto
- 1:05Speaker 1: last offseason, though these though those preliminary conversations didn't progress
- 1:09Speaker 1: to the point where the sides actually discussed trade frameworks.
- 1:13Speaker 1: There was no indication that Netto was really available over
- 1:16Speaker 1: the winter. It's not clear if that'll change the summer,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but the Angels are preparing for a deadline sale and
- 1:22Speaker 1: might be more inclined to hear teams out on their
- 1:26Speaker 1: top trade assets. INNERN GM John Mozaylock said this week
- 1:30Speaker 1: that Halos could possibly consider moving controllable players for the
- 1:34Speaker 1: right returns, and ESPN and the New York Posts also
- 1:38Speaker 1: just suggested that the Angels were more willing to listen
- 1:42Speaker 1: on the likes of Neto, Read Debtmers and Jose Soriano.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The latter two obviously pitchers, so Mark Zach Netto's name
- 1:51Speaker 1: seems to be I don't know that these surpassed Debtmers
- 1:55Speaker 1: and Soriano in the Angels that other teams are most
- 2:00Speaker 1: in pursuit of, but boy, he seems to be getting
- 2:02Speaker 1: a lot of attention. Uh. I think we talked a
- 2:05Speaker 1: little bit about this on our last show. How would
- 2:07Speaker 1: you feel about the Angels trading Netto? What would it
- 2:09Speaker 1: take if you're the Angels GM to to trade this
- 2:13Speaker 1: kid who we've We've said it you know. It could
- 2:16Speaker 1: be a franchise shortstop, could be a keyword there, yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 1: curry keywords.
- 2:24Speaker 2: These trade rumors, uh yeah, I got to be honest,
- 2:28Speaker 2: they don't do much for me. You know, updates daily
- 2:32Speaker 2: from the usual suspects and no disrespect to them. They
- 2:36Speaker 2: have a job to do, but it's telling us nothing
- 2:39Speaker 2: that we don't already know. I assume yes they're listening
- 2:43Speaker 2: uh in on probably everybody outside of you know, those
- 2:50Speaker 2: with the no trade clause for example. But a guy
- 2:54Speaker 2: like Walbert Urina doesn't in any sense either. Maybe Shanawau
- 2:58Speaker 2: is another guy that you're going to hold onto. Maybe
- 3:01Speaker 2: there's the interest we'll see or actually we'll never know
- 3:04Speaker 2: that because we're never privileged to what these actually look like.
- 3:08Speaker 2: But teams like the Red Sox, if the Red Sox
- 3:11Speaker 2: want somebody, generally they will go out and get said player.
- 3:15Speaker 2: They'll find a way to make it happen, or at
- 3:17Speaker 2: least the Red Sox of old Craig Breslow at the helm.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I don't think when it comes to these trades, nobody
- 3:25Speaker 2: wants to get fleeced. You don't want to be the
- 3:27Speaker 2: guy known for Maybe the Red Sox in particular, I
- 3:32Speaker 2: don't know after Mookie Bets and what. No, they traded
- 3:34Speaker 2: ed Devors too, so they're prone to wheel and deal
- 3:38Speaker 2: for a guy like Netto, who wasn't one of the
- 3:41Speaker 2: original ones mentioned, they're going to have to pay up,
- 3:44Speaker 2: and I don't know how many players that is. It's
- 3:47Speaker 2: going to be a couple of good ones. Article I
- 3:51Speaker 2: believe I shared with you, but in Baseball America came out.
- 3:54Speaker 2: We can cover that maybe on the next show. But
- 3:56Speaker 2: it really did a nice job going over exact actly
- 4:00Speaker 2: what to expect sometimes and the overwhelming majority of these
- 4:04Speaker 2: young prospects that are brought back in returns do not
- 4:09Speaker 2: pan out. It seemed like the guys that do are
- 4:12Speaker 2: closer to the major leagues already or in the major leagues,
- 4:16Speaker 2: and somewhat of known quantities. The low a rookie ball
- 4:21Speaker 2: huge tool guys, well, I don't know if it was
- 4:24Speaker 2: like six percent, maybe less. It was really low. So
- 4:27Speaker 2: it's easy to get really hyped up on these packages
- 4:30Speaker 2: and look at this guy, look at this guy. If
- 4:31Speaker 2: I were to look at guys after reading this, especially,
- 4:34Speaker 2: you got to look for guys that are more polished,
- 4:37Speaker 2: more major league ready, not and for noto you're going
- 4:41Speaker 2: to ask for guys with high ceilings too, so you
- 4:45Speaker 2: we'll see they could be out muscled by other interested
- 4:49Speaker 2: parties or you know, teams with the short stuff that
- 4:53Speaker 2: they we'll see. These deals just are hard to make
- 4:56Speaker 2: much sense of. But there's whispers.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Yeah. On the on the flip side of that those
- 5:01Speaker 1: trades you're talking about is you know who can forget deals?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Like I think it was two thousand and sixteen ish
- 5:08Speaker 1: when the Dodgers needed a relief pitcher, so they went
- 5:13Speaker 1: out and got Josh Fields from the Astros, and they
- 5:15Speaker 1: sent a young left handed hitter named youre Don Alvarez
- 5:18Speaker 1: to the Astros. So sometimes those things can work out
- 5:22Speaker 1: for the team on the receiving ends of those deals.
- 5:25Speaker 1: As far as Neto, though, I agree with you on
- 5:29Speaker 1: I don't know that I would trade zach Neto for
- 5:31Speaker 1: like two or three low A even double A prospects.
- 5:34Speaker 1: To me, you have to get a major league ready something.
- 5:37Speaker 1: If that's a starting pitcher, if that's a middle infielder,
- 5:40Speaker 1: it's either guy young, controllable big leaguer who's maybe an
- 5:45Speaker 1: excess piece on the team that's acquiring zach Netto. And
- 5:49Speaker 1: then on top of that, you need to get a
- 5:50Speaker 1: really top prospect, preferably a starting pitcher in return.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I think, you know, if I were to ask you,
- 5:58Speaker 2: what would the scout report be that you would say
- 6:01Speaker 2: for a team that's interested in Zach, what does his
- 6:04Speaker 2: current overall game look like?
- 6:08Speaker 1: I would say offensively prone to striking out, but if
- 6:12Speaker 1: he can gain a little more plate discipline, a pretty
- 6:15Speaker 1: good hitter with pop twenty twenty five homer, twenty twenty
- 6:19Speaker 1: five stolen base guy. I think defensively, and we've talked
- 6:23Speaker 1: about this, he is, you know, his err I guess
- 6:27Speaker 1: he got charge of that air Sunday. Notwithstanding it was
- 6:29Speaker 1: a tough play. Defensively, he seemed really a lot more
- 6:35Speaker 1: locked in mentally. He's a lot more focused, his footwork,
- 6:38Speaker 1: his throws are on point. He just seems really in
- 6:41Speaker 1: tune with the game defensively for the most part. You know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: once again he had that pop up ye sun ball, winball.
- 6:49Speaker 1: It's hard to knock him too much for stuff like that.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I just see a better, more prepared overall defensive player,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and I think his offensive upside I'm not going to
- 6:59Speaker 1: say it's limit because the strikeouts are definitely a concern.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I don't know if somebody just hitting coach, what it's
- 7:05Speaker 1: going to take for him to develop a little more
- 7:08Speaker 1: plate discipline. You know, he's been in the league a
- 7:11Speaker 1: couple of years now, He's no rookie, He's had tons
- 7:16Speaker 1: of experience, he's gotten to know these pitchers. You would
- 7:19Speaker 1: think it's a little too late for him to be,
- 7:22Speaker 1: you know, flailing at so many of these breaking balls,
- 7:25Speaker 1: especially off the plate that we've seen from him. But
- 7:29Speaker 1: I think Sam Blum said on our last show, and
- 7:31Speaker 1: we agree, at least I agree with him. He does
- 7:33Speaker 1: have the potential to be a cornerstone player, and I
- 7:37Speaker 1: think the team that is going after him probably values
- 7:41Speaker 1: him as such, So that would probably increase the return
- 7:44Speaker 1: on my end. Anything to add to that in terms
- 7:47Speaker 1: of your assessment of the young shortstop right now.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Well, that's interesting because if you're a team like the
- 7:53Speaker 2: Red Sox or Red Sox fans, you start looking a
- 7:55Speaker 2: little bit under the hood, and what do you see
- 7:58Speaker 2: you see a guy with Well, we're told on the
- 8:00Speaker 2: broadcast he's an extra base hit machine. There was some
- 8:04Speaker 2: it seemed like surprise that today he was fed a
- 8:07Speaker 2: number of change ups, especially on the first pitch of
- 8:09Speaker 2: the game, which has been a trend. Of course, people
- 8:12Speaker 2: are going to throw him that because he's going to
- 8:14Speaker 2: swing at it. Are they acquiring a leadoff hitter. I
- 8:18Speaker 2: don't think teams would view that as something that they're
- 8:23Speaker 2: getting when they if they were to acquire this player,
- 8:26Speaker 2: I think that more of a middle of the order
- 8:28Speaker 2: type bat. But he does lead off for the Angels.
- 8:32Speaker 2: I don't really think he's a prototypical leadoff hitter. He's
- 8:36Speaker 2: been caught stealing. He's one of the top three in
- 8:39Speaker 2: the league. I believe in that category. He's gotten picked
- 8:43Speaker 2: off quite a bit. He at times today Sunday game
- 8:49Speaker 2: did not hustle down the baseline. He wasn't alone Jose
- 8:52Speaker 2: Siri pouting that it was a bad look. He was
- 8:57Speaker 2: called out for it. His play and his act. You know,
- 9:01Speaker 2: it's only as cool as his production. So if that
- 9:05Speaker 2: starts to weigh, maybe it's not so funny anymore.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say he makes a lot of
- 9:11Speaker 1: mistakes you'd classify as rookie mistakes if he were a rookie,
- 9:15Speaker 1: especially on the base paths. But he's not a rookie anymore.
- 9:18Speaker 1: He's really got to get he's got to clean that
- 9:20Speaker 1: stuff up, so she would say maybe a little more colorfully,
- 9:25Speaker 1: And yeah, I totally agree with you on the not
- 9:29Speaker 1: a leadoff hitter too. I think they're the angels. They
- 9:31Speaker 1: probably just don't have a lot of good options at
- 9:33Speaker 1: the top of the order. To me, they've kind of
- 9:36Speaker 1: pigeonholed him into that spot where he'd probably be. I'm
- 9:40Speaker 1: not saying you would still accept all these strikeouts. You know,
- 9:43Speaker 1: he's going to strike out two hundred times, two hundred
- 9:45Speaker 1: plus times this year. I don't know that you want
- 9:47Speaker 1: to accept that in any spot in the order, but
- 9:49Speaker 1: you don't want it in your leadoff hitter. So if
- 9:51Speaker 1: he gets straight into a team with a really good
- 9:53Speaker 1: leadoff hitter, you know, if you could hit him six,
- 9:55Speaker 1: maybe even seventh, maybe second, maybe fifth, depending on the line.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I don't know anywhere with the leadoff spot. Your smile.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Why starting to inch down towards that banjo spot. That's disrespectful.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Have you seen the Dodgers order some of their guys hitting.
- 10:13Speaker 1: They have Max Munsey hitting seventh sometimes I'm saying for
- 10:16Speaker 1: a really.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Good I don't watch that team over there. I watched
- 10:19Speaker 2: the team and Red we covered the team and read.
- 10:21Speaker 2: I don't know where Betts was in it. Neither has
- 10:23Speaker 2: he moved down. He moved down to fifth. So there
- 10:26Speaker 2: there you go. All right, we're gonna take a quick
- 10:29Speaker 2: break for a word from a sponsors, and when we
- 10:30Speaker 2: come back, we're gonna talk about a guy whose name
- 10:33Speaker 2: has not really been in trade rumors, but there are
- 10:36Speaker 2: some trade rumors affecting him definitely. And that's logan on
- 10:39Speaker 2: Hopey the catcher will be right back with more Halo territory.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Todd Father, are you hitting some games this summer? What's
- 10:45Speaker 3: the deal?

- 11:44Speaker 1: Hey, welcome back to Halo Territory with Mike d Gievanna
- 11:47Speaker 1: and Mark Trumbo.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Well.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Ken Rosenthald The Athletic is also reporting that the Angels
- 11:52Speaker 1: quote are interested and acquiring a young catcher, and they
- 11:57Speaker 1: might match up with the Chicago Cubs, who are trying
- 11:59Speaker 1: to add some starting pitching. Here's an excerpt from that story.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Ken wrote, the Cubs have a very varying experienced right
- 12:10Speaker 1: fielder Saya Suzuki and fielder. Outfielder Matt Shaw and outfielder
- 12:13Speaker 1: Kevin Alcintera could appeal to the Mariners, but the Cubs
- 12:16Speaker 1: canvassing the entire market for starters, potentially could line up
- 12:20Speaker 1: with Los Angeles Angels for righty Jose Soriana or lefty
- 12:24Speaker 1: Reed Detmers as well. The Angels, according to a person
- 12:27Speaker 1: briefed on their pursuits, are interested in acquiring a young
- 12:31Speaker 1: catcher Owhen Ayers, the Cub's number ten prospect, according to
- 12:35Speaker 1: the Athletics Keith Law might qualify now, Ayers is twenty five.
- 12:39Speaker 1: That's not that young for a prospect. He started the
- 12:42Speaker 1: season in High A but is now in Triple A.
- 12:47Speaker 1: So you know, the thing I found interesting about this report,
- 12:50Speaker 1: of course, is that the Angels have a young catcher
- 12:53Speaker 1: in twenty six year old Logan o Appi, who was
- 12:55Speaker 1: supposed to be their catcher of the future when they
- 12:57Speaker 1: acquired him from the Phillies for Brandon Mark was back
- 13:00Speaker 1: in twenty twenty two. But o'hapi, as we all know,
- 13:04Speaker 1: regressed very badly at the plate and behind the plate
- 13:07Speaker 1: in twenty twenty five and it hasn't looked much better
- 13:10Speaker 1: in twenty twenty six. After Sunday's game, Logan's hitting two
- 13:14Speaker 1: thirteen with a five seventy five ops, four homers, and
- 13:19Speaker 1: twenty three RBIs in seventy three games. Well, Mark, what
- 13:23Speaker 1: do you think when you read this and it just
- 13:25Speaker 1: seems like if these things, if there's any truth to him,
- 13:27Speaker 1: it doesn't bode well for Logan's future in Anaheim.
- 13:32Speaker 2: More speculation. I I don't know. This player that was mentioned,
- 13:38Speaker 2: didn't have enough time to get up to speed, twenty
- 13:41Speaker 2: five years old, starting an a ball on the surface,
- 13:45Speaker 2: it's prospect. Yeah, I don't know about that one. But
- 13:49Speaker 2: maybe he's got I like one of the other guys
- 13:53Speaker 2: Ballastero's or something, he's got some pop in that bat.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I don't know if he is a redundant because I
- 13:59Speaker 2: believe Carson can starting, But you know, how about a
- 14:01Speaker 2: guy like that unless the catching is unusable. I think
- 14:07Speaker 2: as far as your question was, what was your question?
- 14:10Speaker 2: Am I surprised that that they would be listening on
- 14:12Speaker 2: a catcher. No, that it doesn't bode well for Logan's
- 14:15Speaker 2: future either way. If they're even you know, putting it
- 14:17Speaker 2: out there that they are interested in acquiring a young catcher,
- 14:22Speaker 2: it's still his ballgame in the sense of he's going
- 14:26Speaker 2: to be given an opportunity. Worst case scenario for him,
- 14:31Speaker 2: maybe with Darnault coming back, there's a move made. He's
- 14:35Speaker 2: got options, He's verbalized it. I felt a little scared
- 14:39Speaker 2: reading that article the other day for Fletch, I think
- 14:42Speaker 2: there was something to the effect of everyone knows how
- 14:45Speaker 2: pissed off I am about the way he's played. And
- 14:49Speaker 2: this is not a critique. I mean, that's that's him
- 14:51Speaker 2: saying it. You know what he puts in the effort
- 14:55Speaker 2: that that part I've never questioned. Now is it here?
- 15:01Speaker 2: Not exactly They've brought in. It seems like quite a
- 15:04Speaker 2: few guys to work with him on the defensive side.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I know that he has attempted probably everything under the
- 15:11Speaker 2: sun to improve that. The statistics don't don't quite reflect that.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Although watching it's it's not. I think he has improved
- 15:19Speaker 2: to the naked eye in the terms of blocking pitch
- 15:23Speaker 2: framing his challenges has been pretty good. As far as
- 15:27Speaker 2: the hitting, it seemed like that there was a brief
- 15:30Speaker 2: stint there where it did look improved, and more recently
- 15:34Speaker 2: it seems back to the earlier version this season, with
- 15:39Speaker 2: maybe an emphasis on pole in the air.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah, the numbers for an eleven game stretch from June
- 15:44Speaker 1: eighth to the twenty first. He said he went back
- 15:46Speaker 1: to a pregame hitting routine he used in the minor leagues.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Hit four forty one, fifteen for thirty four with the
- 15:52Speaker 1: eleven ninety two ops. And he continued doing that routine.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But he's batting one thirty six, that's nine for sixty
- 16:00Speaker 1: six with a three sixteen ops and twenty games. Since
- 16:05Speaker 1: you think he's just going back to those same bad
- 16:07Speaker 1: habits we saw for the first month or two of
- 16:10Speaker 1: the season. This the pull happy stuff, it's.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Not just him, it's what's being pounded into these guys' heads.
- 16:16Speaker 2: So I think it's pull in the air is paramount,
- 16:20Speaker 2: and it's being preached everywhere. Of course, on the surface,
- 16:25Speaker 2: you pull a home run, no one is going to
- 16:27Speaker 2: catch that. It's going to be great for you and
- 16:29Speaker 2: great for your back pocket. But in the real world,
- 16:32Speaker 2: you need to take hits to the whole field. And
- 16:35Speaker 2: when you do get pitches to hit and you're not
- 16:38Speaker 2: cheating on them, you ask me what cheating means, meant
- 16:41Speaker 2: or something with Nolan, but it means trying to pull
- 16:45Speaker 2: pitches down and away, change ups down and away from
- 16:48Speaker 2: that starter of the Giants hat on Sunday. Those pitches
- 16:51Speaker 2: are not pitches to pull, they're not pitches to even
- 16:53Speaker 2: swing at in the first place. But he does have
- 16:55Speaker 2: a nice changeup and it probably look like a heater.
- 16:59Speaker 2: But if you are setting your sights to right center field,
- 17:03Speaker 2: knowing that he is going to lean on that pitch,
- 17:06Speaker 2: I think that you're better able to take it. And
- 17:08Speaker 2: when you're looking that way to begin, it doesn't mean
- 17:11Speaker 2: you're going to necessarily hit it that way, but you're
- 17:13Speaker 2: not going to be prone to miss by such a
- 17:15Speaker 2: wide margin because you're thinking, you know me, maybe he's
- 17:18Speaker 2: going to pop that middle in fastball. And I think
- 17:20Speaker 2: that's where those big chases come from. A few of
- 17:23Speaker 2: the Angel hitters, they seem to have a really hard
- 17:26Speaker 2: time kind of getting off of that. For a stint there,
- 17:30Speaker 2: they were doing better using the whole field. I think
- 17:31Speaker 2: the manager, Kurt Suzuki, really likes that, but doesn't always
- 17:36Speaker 2: you know, see it. It's a little bit inconsistent, and
- 17:41Speaker 2: I hope he gets it together. It's obviously he's frustrated.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I think the fans are frustrated. But he's a young guy,
- 17:48Speaker 2: you know, maybe this is just part of the deal,
- 17:50Speaker 2: part of his progression, and he'll come back. It's not
- 17:54Speaker 2: going anywhere, but hopefully he's able to bounce back from
- 17:57Speaker 2: these struggles.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah, another guy we have not seen mentioned in trade
- 18:01Speaker 1: rumors really at all is Ryan Zephyr John who's struck
- 18:04Speaker 1: out two or three in a score of state inning
- 18:06Speaker 1: on Sunday, and he's allowed only three earned runs and
- 18:10Speaker 1: twenty three and third innings with thirty eight strikeouts since
- 18:14Speaker 1: June first. Now, as we know, contenders are always in
- 18:18Speaker 1: the hunt for high leverage or leavers. There should be
- 18:21Speaker 1: a robust market, you would think for a guy like this,
- 18:24Speaker 1: But as we know, the Angels are they're trying to
- 18:27Speaker 1: build for the future, and he obviously is a guy
- 18:29Speaker 1: you'd probably want, maybe not be the anchor your bullpen,
- 18:31Speaker 1: but a pretty decent high leverage guy you know that
- 18:35Speaker 1: they just don't have enough of. You think the Angels
- 18:39Speaker 1: should look to trade this guy who at his peak
- 18:41Speaker 1: value right now. And what could they get for a
- 18:44Speaker 1: guy like him?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Probably get something pretty nice. Yeah, catching fire at the
- 18:50Speaker 2: right time. He was a guy that was acquired in
- 18:53Speaker 2: a trade himself. So if you were able to either
- 18:57Speaker 2: have him come into his own for your ball club
- 19:01Speaker 2: and contribute or flip him for a piece that you
- 19:05Speaker 2: have a need for, that's a win win. But he
- 19:07Speaker 2: has thrown the ball really well. If you want some
- 19:10Speaker 2: brief details on why I think he's improved. His sweeper
- 19:14Speaker 2: rates excellent. That is his best pitch statistically, followed by
- 19:18Speaker 2: his four steamer. Really leaned on that cutter and sinker
- 19:23Speaker 2: combo previously, and there was at okay, I'm gonna do
- 19:27Speaker 2: some arm angle stuff, tongue twister. But he's got an
- 19:32Speaker 2: eleven degree arm difference on his sinker and his cutter,
- 19:36Speaker 2: his four seamer and a sweeper. The pitches that rate best,
- 19:39Speaker 2: there's a three degree difference, so those pitches are much
- 19:42Speaker 2: easier to disguise. They're going to look about the same
- 19:44Speaker 2: coming in. Then one's going to dart away, one's gonna,
- 19:47Speaker 2: you know, kind of explode upwards. Can't have an eleven
- 19:50Speaker 2: degree difference. I won't really get off of these things.
- 19:53Speaker 2: That's enormous. That's too big, Sam Bachman, he's got a
- 19:57Speaker 2: huge difference as well. It's change ups twenty seven degrees.
- 20:01Speaker 2: The slider's thirty seven. That's ten degrees difference. Two bunch
- 20:04Speaker 2: too big. And then I did pull some of these
- 20:07Speaker 2: just in preparation. Kate Smith, the Guardian's closer, having a
- 20:10Speaker 2: very nice season. He's a two pitch pitcher, mainly four
- 20:14Speaker 2: Seamer thirty nine splits thirty seven two degree difference about
- 20:17Speaker 2: the same Mason Miller four seamer forty, Slider forty or
- 20:20Speaker 2: excuse me, forty two and forty, so about the same.
- 20:23Speaker 2: You need two pitches at least to appear about the same.
- 20:26Speaker 2: You can't have big differences because hitters will pick up
- 20:30Speaker 2: on that.
- 20:31Speaker 1: It wasn't the cutter the pitch. Ryan was having all
- 20:34Speaker 1: those problems with the hit batsman in the earlier in
- 20:35Speaker 1: the year just kept yanking it well, I guess, not
- 20:39Speaker 1: yanking it, but just high and away or up and
- 20:42Speaker 1: into the righties.
- 20:44Speaker 2: You really liked to lean on. I think it drove
- 20:47Speaker 2: the lockdown guys crazy. I don't think. I'm fairly certain
- 20:52Speaker 2: they don't miss that pitch. And it's statistically not a
- 20:55Speaker 2: good pitch for him, so he shouldn't be throwing it.
- 20:57Speaker 2: He could sprinkle it in maybe a little bit. If
- 21:00Speaker 2: a guy is just fouling off those other two relentlessly,
- 21:03Speaker 2: that's when you'd use it. But for a relief pitcher,
- 21:06Speaker 2: he should not get off of these two premium pitches.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I er we can take one more break for
- 21:11Speaker 1: work from our sponsors, and when we come back we'll
- 21:13Speaker 1: get into this Giant's weekend series.

- 22:49Speaker 1: Hey, Welcome back to Halo territory with Mark Tromboy, Mike Dgvanna.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Well.
- 22:53Speaker 1: That'sh Angels lost two at three in San Francisco. That
- 22:56Speaker 1: seems to be the norm in any three game series.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Friday night, they lost seven to six and ten innings.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Another shoddy start from Brason Rodriguez. Four innings, pitch, six hits,
- 23:06Speaker 1: five earned runs. He has an eight point five four
- 23:09Speaker 1: era von Grisom with a two run homer in the
- 23:12Speaker 1: eight ties. The game at five five, Angels had two
- 23:15Speaker 1: on with one out in the top of the tent.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Meckler hits a fly ball to I don't know, medium,
- 23:22Speaker 1: medium to deep centerfield. Perazza is at second as the runner.
- 23:26Speaker 1: He tries to tag and is thrown out by centerfielder
- 23:29Speaker 1: Grant McCrae to end the innings in the inning, and
- 23:33Speaker 1: then Devers walked it off with a hit in the
- 23:36Speaker 1: bottom of the tenth. And here was manager Kurt Suzuki's reaction.
- 23:41Speaker 1: And we don't have audio for this, just visual. This
- 23:45Speaker 1: was his reaction after the Peraza play, So for those
- 23:56Speaker 1: listening on the audio podcast, it was Kerr was very disgusted,
- 24:00Speaker 1: turned his head to the side of the thugout and
- 24:03Speaker 1: it was basically an exploitive dash. Me uh, obviously, you
- 24:11Speaker 1: know in that situation, Mark Praza has to be one
- 24:13Speaker 1: hundred percent plus sure he's gonna make it. He's already
- 24:17Speaker 1: in scoring position. I don't know if he just thought
- 24:20Speaker 1: the ball was hit so deep that he was going
- 24:22Speaker 1: to make it pretty easily. The guy made an incredible
- 24:25Speaker 1: one hot throw and the tag was perfect. What did
- 24:28Speaker 1: you see on that play?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Proz is a plus runner, so I think he thought
- 24:34Speaker 2: he was going to be safe, and that's one of
- 24:36Speaker 2: those things that's an aggressive mistake. It ended up being
- 24:40Speaker 2: a mistake. But the McCrae is that his name? Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 2: He had some comments afterwards about they should know better. Yeah,
- 24:52Speaker 2: so that's how well known he is. No offense, but
- 24:56Speaker 2: got to get some hits, kid, if you want us
- 24:59Speaker 2: to know the name. He's got a nice throwing arm though,
- 25:02Speaker 2: I'll say that. But the comments afterwards kind of kind
- 25:05Speaker 2: of made me laugh a little bit because they checked
- 25:08Speaker 2: that scout and report. You know, it's kind of a
- 25:10Speaker 2: you know, I guess that's what you do now. You
- 25:13Speaker 2: got to show off, but you get a ops south
- 25:16Speaker 2: of well, south of six hundred, maybe way worse. He
- 25:19Speaker 2: was sack Bunning too with nobody out, which told me
- 25:23Speaker 2: everything I needed to know about where his offense currently stands.
- 25:26Speaker 2: But hurt, very frustrated. That's I've seen that, and I
- 25:31Speaker 2: think you've seen that a little bit more as the
- 25:32Speaker 2: season's gone on. He can't be all smiles when things are.
- 25:37Speaker 2: You know, you're playing for keeps, trying to win, trying
- 25:39Speaker 2: to win that ballgame, and that was one that you
- 25:43Speaker 2: go into a series like this, the Giants, you know,
- 25:46Speaker 2: they got a pitiful record. They're having a very poor year,
- 25:49Speaker 2: and maybe there's an expectation on the Angel side that
- 25:52Speaker 2: they this is a team that they should beat. Their manager,
- 25:56Speaker 2: Tony V kind of been battled, not kind of. He
- 25:59Speaker 2: is trying to earn the respect of the fans, trying
- 26:03Speaker 2: to get his team to play hard behind him. They
- 26:06Speaker 2: I'll say this, I thought they played better fundamental baseball
- 26:09Speaker 2: than the Angels did this series. Shanna wou ran into
- 26:13Speaker 2: a out at third base down a million, nine and
- 26:17Speaker 2: nothing on Saturday's game. Yeah, well that was.
- 26:23Speaker 1: You want to talk a little bit about Grayson Rodriguez
- 26:26Speaker 1: and uh, you know, we're trying to give him, you know,
- 26:29Speaker 1: some a period of time because he hadn't pitched in
- 26:31Speaker 1: a game and he was a year and a half.
- 26:33Speaker 1: But man, we're pretty deep into the season here. I
- 26:36Speaker 1: know he was hurt for a while, but he's had
- 26:37Speaker 1: a fair number of starts. At what point do you
- 26:41Speaker 1: start to wonder is this just him battling rust or
- 26:45Speaker 1: is the stuff just not matching up with the results,
- 26:47Speaker 1: Because the stuff doesn't seem too bad, but man, he's
- 26:51Speaker 1: just getting hit around almost every start. You know, this
- 26:53Speaker 1: guy from your Baltimore days, I assume there's got to
- 26:56Speaker 1: be something better in this guy.
- 26:59Speaker 2: The stuff is not bad. People want to disagree. I
- 27:04Speaker 2: really couldn't care less. His stuff is going to get
- 27:08Speaker 2: better in terms of command, and his success will go up.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Schmidt the home running hit. That was not a bad pitch,
- 27:17Speaker 2: that was not located poorly. It just was he happened
- 27:21Speaker 2: to turn on it and it was a really good swing.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I still see a lot of promise in Grayson. If
- 27:27Speaker 2: you're going to if we're going to say, if I'm
- 27:29Speaker 2: going to say that this year kind of you know,
- 27:31Speaker 2: other people have said it too, is more of a
- 27:32Speaker 2: bounce back year for him. I'd look way more at
- 27:35Speaker 2: the stuff and the overall how does it look, how
- 27:38Speaker 2: the health the numbers themselves. Yes, you want to start
- 27:41Speaker 2: seeing incremental improvements'd be great if they got exponentially better.
- 27:45Speaker 2: He had some great comments too, saying that this is
- 27:48Speaker 2: not His standards are much higher than this. He's not
- 27:50Speaker 2: okay with results like this, and he's a fierce competitor.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I think he's going to be much better than he
- 27:57Speaker 2: currently is, and with such a long layoff, I don't
- 28:02Speaker 2: reasonably know what else to expect. It would be a
- 28:04Speaker 2: little strange for him to hit the ground running, but
- 28:07Speaker 2: I think that there is still a lot of promise
- 28:09Speaker 2: and the makeup and the attitude, not joking about that
- 28:14Speaker 2: is very very sound with this player. He will find
- 28:17Speaker 2: a way to get it done.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Satury is a blowout. Not much good happening for the Angels,
- 28:23Speaker 1: nine to two. Ryan Johnson three and a third innings,
- 28:27Speaker 1: eight burned runs, He's got a seven point three four era.
- 28:31Speaker 1: He gave up a three run homewer to Lee and
- 28:36Speaker 1: who was it? Suitor came in and gave up a
- 28:38Speaker 1: three run homer to devs we mentioned. I think Nolan
- 28:43Speaker 1: getting thrown that trying to go first a third on
- 28:45Speaker 1: a single in the sixth inting with a nine run
- 28:47Speaker 1: deficit was just him saying, you know, screw this game.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I'm tired of this game. I'm going I can't knock
- 28:54Speaker 1: him too much for that. But Ryan Johnson another guy
- 28:58Speaker 1: for just I see that those eyes rolling, oh boy,
- 29:04Speaker 1: and that laugh boy. I think we're going to see
- 29:06Speaker 1: a pitching or a change in the Angel rotation here
- 29:09Speaker 1: pretty soon. I know young George Klassen is pitching well
- 29:12Speaker 1: at Triple A. Good for him. I think it's probably
- 29:15Speaker 1: time and maybe I haven't been convinced, even after Johnson's
- 29:20Speaker 1: really good starts, that this kid's features in the rotation.
- 29:24Speaker 2: What do you see? Thank goodness, you advocated. I believe
- 29:27Speaker 2: you advocated to see see I don't see it.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't mean he just doesn't belong in the rotation.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I think he could probably be a pretty good relief pitcher,
- 29:37Speaker 1: you know, because I think he's got some decent stuff.
- 29:39Speaker 2: So, uh, he is a guy. I agree with you there.
- 29:44Speaker 2: The velocity is killing him. There's no other way to
- 29:46Speaker 2: put it. He is not throwing hard enough and with
- 29:50Speaker 2: that armslot he's got. So this is what teams covet
- 29:54Speaker 2: now is the low armslot upshoot fastball, and he has
- 29:59Speaker 2: the low armslot, but he doesn't have the upshoot fastball.
- 30:02Speaker 2: He needs to find a way, and I don't see
- 30:05Speaker 2: as a starter. I don't know if it's a thing
- 30:07Speaker 2: that I don't The physicality may not quite be. He's
- 30:11Speaker 2: a big guy. I mean that doesn't make sense. But
- 30:14Speaker 2: he is a much more effective pitcher hovering around ninety
- 30:17Speaker 2: four to ninety six than he is pitching that like
- 30:21Speaker 2: he is now, which is low nineties. Most of the
- 30:24Speaker 2: pitches usually have an eight in front of him, and
- 30:26Speaker 2: there's just no He's relying completely on the chase. He's
- 30:29Speaker 2: not able to get guys out in the strike zone.
- 30:32Speaker 2: And I think that was one of his best attributes
- 30:34Speaker 2: that I saw when he first came up, almost too
- 30:37Speaker 2: many strikes, and now he's nibbling and making the times
- 30:41Speaker 2: he does have to come into the zone, they're hammering it.
- 30:44Speaker 2: So I see his future. I mean nothing about the
- 30:47Speaker 2: delivery scream starter either, so it's not up to me.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I could be wrong on this one, but I see
- 30:55Speaker 2: a guy that could be a much more valuable piece,
- 30:58Speaker 2: maybe a two inning guy in the bolt then, but
- 31:00Speaker 2: right now starting is not working out for him.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he. I don't think he has a
- 31:04Speaker 1: third pitch you'd even consider to be a decent let
- 31:07Speaker 1: alone plus pitch two, and that's going to hurt him
- 31:09Speaker 1: in the rotation.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Well.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Sunday was a wild one. Angels took a four to
- 31:13Speaker 1: one lead into the ninth innings. That was after Zephyr
- 31:17Speaker 1: John was dominant.
- 31:18Speaker 2: In the eighth.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Sam Bachman comes on walks two of the first three
- 31:22Speaker 1: batters did get an out in there, and Kirk comes
- 31:25Speaker 1: out and pulls him in favor of left hander Mitch Ferris.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Remember he had already used Sam Natara Junior earlier in
- 31:31Speaker 1: the game. Giants counted with the right handed hitting Daniel Sussak,
- 31:35Speaker 1: who flies out, but Lewis a Rise hits a two
- 31:38Speaker 1: run double off the right field wall to cut the
- 31:41Speaker 1: deficit the four to three, and then Ferris throws a
- 31:44Speaker 1: two to two fastball the Helio Roma ramos it was
- 31:48Speaker 1: down and then probably a full width of the ball
- 31:51Speaker 1: and height of the ball and home plate on Hunter
- 31:55Speaker 1: Wintelstead called it a strike and the Giants are out
- 31:58Speaker 1: of challenges. We've seen this a couple of times now
- 32:02Speaker 1: this year, and it just if you were playing the
- 32:06Speaker 1: game today, if you were managing game mark coaching, it,
- 32:09Speaker 1: would you just find any way to save some of
- 32:11Speaker 1: the at least one of your challenges for that ninth inning,
- 32:14Speaker 1: because man, the Giants, I mean, you know, maybe it
- 32:17Speaker 1: goes to three two and he strikes out anyway, but
- 32:19Speaker 1: that was definitely not a strike and he definitely would
- 32:22Speaker 1: have challenged that bitch.
- 32:23Speaker 2: How about you get the call right, I don't. He
- 32:27Speaker 2: screwed over one of their other players too, on a
- 32:30Speaker 2: ball outside the strike zone. The guy tap tapped the
- 32:33Speaker 2: helmet they were out of challenges, and then check swing.
- 32:36Speaker 2: And I've seen this as a hitter. It bothered me
- 32:39Speaker 2: because it's like maybe the check swing that that probably
- 32:43Speaker 2: was not. But now he's got two strikes and usually
- 32:46Speaker 2: the momentum and shifts entirely and it'll punch out or something.
- 32:50Speaker 2: But with the three to zero count, Hunter just I
- 32:54Speaker 2: don't know if that's just an old school thing or
- 32:56Speaker 2: got a reservation. All the jokes you could make, the
- 32:59Speaker 2: real thing is old. Our umpires are just having a
- 33:01Speaker 2: very hard time keeping up and you look at the
- 33:04Speaker 2: scores around the league and it's all the usual suspects
- 33:08Speaker 2: that and it's no disrespect that you just can't have
- 33:12Speaker 2: your own zone any longer. It doesn't doesn't work out.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I got a pitchers or a shoe box. And if
- 33:18Speaker 2: I already said this on another episode, I don't really care.
- 33:21Speaker 2: It's it's you got to get it right. The younger umpires.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Maybe it's fresher eyes. I'm not sure. Maybe it's the
- 33:28Speaker 2: way that they're taught now. Hunter really helped the Angels out.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I mean a ball I got multiple balls off that
- 33:35Speaker 2: really wasn't all that close. Maybe it didn't get a
- 33:37Speaker 2: good look at it. I don't think so. But why Soriano?
- 33:42Speaker 2: It was eighty five pitches, five innings. We'll get to that,
- 33:46Speaker 2: you know, Siriano. I guess you could call it a
- 33:48Speaker 2: decent outing. Five innings, pitch, three hits, one earned run,
- 33:52Speaker 2: three walks, five strikeouts. Pulled after five innings and eighty
- 33:56Speaker 2: five pitches.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I just I mean, he did have a fresh bullpen,
- 34:01Speaker 1: he had Natara available, he had Bachman, Zephyr John, you
- 34:06Speaker 1: know pretty much everybody today. Uh So, maybe that contributed
- 34:10Speaker 1: to Kurt's decision. I just think Sriano has had a
- 34:12Speaker 1: pretty heavy workload this year. Maybe they thought he was
- 34:19Speaker 1: He still hasn't had really a full season mark. He's
- 34:21Speaker 1: been hurt a lot, you know, so they're probably trying to,
- 34:24Speaker 1: you know, pace him a little bit. Maybe they saw
- 34:27Speaker 1: something in his stuff that was waning in the fifth.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I don't know. I would have liked to see him
- 34:31Speaker 1: gone one more inning, and that would have really solidified
- 34:33Speaker 1: your bullpen the rest of the game. You'd think they
- 34:37Speaker 1: should have left him in. Obviously, it looks like.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Do you think they plan on using Mitch Ferris to
- 34:42Speaker 2: close the game.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I don't think that was part of the plant.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I don't either, when when's last time he pitched the ninety?
- 34:51Speaker 1: Off the top of my head, he certainly didn't pitch yesterday.
- 34:53Speaker 2: It was the nineteenth.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Nineteenth. That's a long to make sure, yeah fit today
- 35:00Speaker 1: twenty six. Yeah, that's that's too long. Six, that's too
- 35:04Speaker 1: low picture in his position, so he needs to get
- 35:07Speaker 1: an inning in. And you could see today he could
- 35:11Speaker 1: not find the strike zone. Everything was tailing out to
- 35:14Speaker 1: the to the arm side, up into the arm side.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Just cannot control it. Couldn't get his breaking ball over either.
- 35:23Speaker 1: And you know, in his defense, it's tough to do
- 35:25Speaker 1: that as a relief pitcher, a high leverage guy when
- 35:27Speaker 1: you've only pitched once in the last week or so.
- 35:30Speaker 1: A couple other good things or hey, solare who we've
- 35:34Speaker 1: gotten on for not hustling beats out of fielder's storye
- 35:37Speaker 1: Grounder in the first for an RBI. Then he hits
- 35:40Speaker 1: a solo homer in the fourth, and then you mentioned
- 35:43Speaker 1: that pitcher. They were kind of flailing in that first
- 35:45Speaker 1: time through the order. But I have to credit Joe
- 35:47Speaker 1: Dell made a pretty good adjustment, stayed back in a
- 35:50Speaker 1: change up in clubs a two run homer for a
- 35:52Speaker 1: four to nothing lead in the fourth inning, went four
- 35:55Speaker 1: hundred and forty six feet and Mike Trout with his
- 35:58Speaker 1: first four hit game in five year. Is the three
- 36:01Speaker 1: time MVP starting to heat up a little bit?
- 36:03Speaker 2: Mark future Hall of Famer Mike Trout with the Hall
- 36:08Speaker 2: of the inductions this weekend. Be remiss not to add
- 36:12Speaker 2: that in there, but good to see Mike was hitting
- 36:15Speaker 2: the ball well, using the whole field, hustling as well.
- 36:18Speaker 2: He did not get to second on that, but it
- 36:21Speaker 2: wasn't due to dogging it or going to one knee
- 36:24Speaker 2: on Arise. I really like Arise too. I don't know
- 36:28Speaker 2: what he was doing there. It looked like the wind
- 36:30Speaker 2: might have been blown out too, so but it sure
- 36:33Speaker 2: is fine with a guy like that and Mike. Same thing.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Line drives these guys, I mean, had a number of
- 36:40Speaker 2: them this series. Using left center, Mike Trout hitting just bullets,
- 36:44Speaker 2: and that's what I prefer to see. So there's big bomb,
- 36:49Speaker 2: that's great, you know, great effort getting himself an RBI.
- 36:53Speaker 2: I don't know where that effort is. Normally he's not
- 36:57Speaker 2: able to do it consistently. That's what I see. I Yeah,
- 37:00Speaker 2: and uh Netto had there it is. There's his name
- 37:04Speaker 2: if you want to chop it up and use it
- 37:06Speaker 2: somewhere else. But he didn't. He didn't have a good effort, Siri.
- 37:09Speaker 2: He didn't have a good effort. And it's just not
- 37:12Speaker 2: a good look. You gotta hustle. You gotta hustle.
- 37:14Speaker 1: And the Playmark's talking about is uh top of the seventh.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Guzman leads off with a single steal, second gets a
- 37:21Speaker 1: third on an air, so he's man on third. No house, Jose,
- 37:24Speaker 1: Siri hits like a swinging month to the first base
- 37:26Speaker 1: side of the mound. He jogs the first base and
- 37:30Speaker 1: he's all pissed off, and he's like motioning the Guzman
- 37:32Speaker 1: on third. You know, he should have scored, You should
- 37:34Speaker 1: have scored. He's out at first, Hoppy strikes out. Nettro
- 37:38Speaker 1: hits the grounder up the middle. Doesn't he look like
- 37:40Speaker 1: he I don't know that. Even all I saw was
- 37:42Speaker 1: the last third down the line, and he definitely wasn't
- 37:45Speaker 1: running hard.
- 37:46Speaker 2: I didn't. I don't know if either of them touched
- 37:48Speaker 2: first base. I think Zach might have, but I think
- 37:50Speaker 2: sirih uh, you know, hits a dinker and thinks that
- 37:54Speaker 2: he should get a stake, and uh yeah, it's hard
- 37:58Speaker 2: to watch showing up the kid too.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I've gotten to like Jose Series, a fun guy to
- 38:03Speaker 1: have around, and he's played some good ball. He had
- 38:05Speaker 1: made a great throat a second. I think it was
- 38:06Speaker 1: in the first thing to cut down a rise trying
- 38:09Speaker 1: to stretch a single to a double. But yeah, I
- 38:12Speaker 1: mean it's there's there's no outs. You got the top
- 38:16Speaker 1: of the order coming up after after Hoppy, Why would
- 38:21Speaker 1: you risk you know that run could have been used
- 38:23Speaker 1: As it turns out, you know it ends up four
- 38:25Speaker 1: to three. Why would you think you would score on
- 38:27Speaker 1: a ball like that? That's the part I don't know.
- 38:29Speaker 2: He's he's pouting. He didn't have a great series. He
- 38:33Speaker 2: was kind of flailing around there in left field too,
- 38:36Speaker 2: some miscues and I'll tell you what tangent. But you
- 38:40Speaker 2: want to know, a tough outfield to play San Francis,
- 38:43Speaker 2: San Francisco, you got a number of things. When the sun,
- 38:48Speaker 2: the seagulls and if I mean Philadelphia probably number one.
- 38:54Speaker 2: The fans in San Francisco will absolutely give it to
- 38:56Speaker 2: you and you'll hear it all game long. So you
- 39:01Speaker 2: better have some thick skin. But you know, they're one
- 39:05Speaker 2: of these series. It seems to be a lot of
- 39:08Speaker 2: these Sunday salvage lit'tle win and then we get to
- 39:12Speaker 2: come on here and try and I don't know, it's
- 39:15Speaker 2: just just it's the same with some of the Maybe
- 39:17Speaker 2: X is just the reason, but the Angels tweet these
- 39:19Speaker 2: celebratory things and then I mean you can go check
- 39:22Speaker 2: the responses. I think most fans are just not about it,
- 39:26Speaker 2: no matter how enthusiastic the calls are during the game,
- 39:31Speaker 2: it's just not resonating with with the core group. I'm
- 39:34Speaker 2: not sure exactly how how they can change that quickly,
- 39:38Speaker 2: but I think a lot of people are interested in
- 39:41Speaker 2: these trades. Wish we had some more insight infhoo really
- 39:44Speaker 2: give you something other than whispers. But we'll do the
- 39:47Speaker 2: best we can. If we hear something, let you know.
- 39:51Speaker 2: But who's coming up in the next series?
- 39:54Speaker 1: Oh get the who got the Houston Astros coming in
- 39:56Speaker 1: for three games and an off day and the Milwaukee
- 40:00Speaker 1: leaders of that National League Central coming in for three
- 40:03Speaker 1: games over the weekend right around the trade deadline too.
- 40:06Speaker 2: That should be miss Rosky. I did watch him today.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I think I'll miss him. I don't.
- 40:12Speaker 1: We'll have to see. I'd like to watch him pitch.
- 40:14Speaker 1: I mean Sunday. Five days would put him at Friday.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Extra day would put him on Saturday. So I think
- 40:20Speaker 1: they're going to get the miss, so he will be
- 40:22Speaker 1: bringing the heat to Anaheim. Okay, we're going to close
- 40:25Speaker 1: the show with that. Hey, thanks for tuning in, thanks
- 40:29Speaker 1: for listening, and we would love if you'd like and
- 40:31Speaker 1: subscribe and we'll see you next time on Halo Territory.
