- 0:10Speaker 1: Sure time. Hello, Hello, welcome to the Naughty but Nice Shore.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm your host Rob Shooter, and if you're joining us
- 0:19Speaker 1: for the first time today, welcome to our little naughty
- 0:23Speaker 1: but Nice family. So I was on the Elvis Durant
- 0:26Speaker 1: Show this morning. Elvis has been a friend of mine
- 0:28Speaker 1: for decades now. He's a really good guy. So I
- 0:31Speaker 1: go on his show every so often to do some
- 0:34Speaker 1: celebrity gossip and I love that he's listeners. Here's fans
- 0:38Speaker 1: here his audience discover us. So if you're new, thank
- 0:41Speaker 1: you Elvis. If you're new, welcome to the show. And
- 0:44Speaker 1: I want you to meet somebody who I adore, one
- 0:47Speaker 1: of my best friends, Cory Andrew. Hey, Corey, are you there? Hello?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Everyone, I am there, Hello Elvis, Hello, Elvis's listeners.
- 0:55Speaker 3: It's great to be here.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Good to see my friend Coy and I've been doing
- 0:59Speaker 1: this day one. We're in season four now of the podcast.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Cory and you were there right from the beginning. In fact,
- 1:05Speaker 1: all the co hosts are. We have a different co
- 1:07Speaker 1: host on every day, five days a week. I'm the
- 1:10Speaker 1: only ones. If you don't like me, you're not in
- 1:13Speaker 1: any luck there. But if you don't like one of
- 1:15Speaker 1: the co hosts. You've only got to put with them
- 1:16Speaker 1: for one day. I like all of it. I like
- 1:18Speaker 1: all of them, So welcome to the show. Let's jump in.
- 1:21Speaker 1: There's a little bit of audience participation on this show,
- 1:23Speaker 1: so feel free to sing along. What time is it,
- 1:26Speaker 1: my friends? It is? It is tea time. We're so silly. Okay.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Big story at the top of the show, Selena Gomez
- 1:33Speaker 1: is engaged, saying Forever begins Now. So we knew that
- 1:38Speaker 1: she was with Benny for some time. They confirmed it
- 1:41Speaker 1: about a year ago Corey, but we knew that she'd
- 1:43Speaker 1: been with him secretly for about six months before that.
- 1:45Speaker 1: She don't tell anybody, but now they're making it official
- 1:49Speaker 1: on Instagram that they are engaged. She posted a beautiful
- 1:53Speaker 1: carousel of image is the best one was the ring?
- 1:56Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, that is some ring and the caption
- 1:59Speaker 1: is Forever begins Now. He saw it. So Benny saw
- 2:05Speaker 1: it and he responded with, Hey, wait, that's my wife now,
- 2:10Speaker 1: Sauces tell me. Last night they did have a little
- 2:13Speaker 1: celebration party. No big celebrities there, just family. Even though
- 2:17Speaker 1: Selena Gomez know some of the biggest stars in the world,
- 2:20Speaker 1: Corey She's still very much is a family person. She
- 2:23Speaker 1: likes her privacy, she likes time with her her family,
- 2:26Speaker 1: she likes a moment away from the spotlight. And that's
- 2:29Speaker 1: what last night was about. I'm sure there'll be many, many,
- 2:32Speaker 1: many more parties where she celebrates with her friends. But
- 2:35Speaker 1: I think this is just lovely. I love love Cory.
- 2:38Speaker 1: What about you, Well, yeah, I think.
- 2:40Speaker 2: It's great too when she's very smart to maintain that
- 2:44Speaker 2: part of her life privately. Because we see so many
- 2:47Speaker 2: celebrity couples. The minute they've become a spectacle, it's really
- 2:52Speaker 2: not good for the relationship. So I hope she remains
- 2:54Speaker 2: as guarded and it can be a prosperous, prosperous marriage
- 2:58Speaker 2: for them.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Hopeful. Yeah, I think she will. My sources tell me.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I spoke to my Selena sources. They said she's never
- 3:03Speaker 1: been happier and she learned an enormous amount from her
- 3:06Speaker 1: relationship with Justin Bieber. It's just too much in the spotlight,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and she vows to never ever do that again. I
- 3:12Speaker 1: do have some celebrity responses. It's really adorable. So Taylor Swift,
- 3:17Speaker 1: is one of her best friends, said yes, I will
- 3:20Speaker 1: be the flower girl.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Can you imagine?
- 3:23Speaker 1: I mean, wow, would you want it though? Or will
- 3:26Speaker 1: she overshadow you? If I was the bread? Do I want?
- 3:30Speaker 1: We think about it? Do you want? When I got
- 3:32Speaker 1: married to Bruce, I'd be my husband forever. But when
- 3:34Speaker 1: we got married, Bruce knows some quite famous people. Our
- 3:38Speaker 1: rule was no celebrities at bay. This was our day,
- 3:41Speaker 1: even if you were a friend. Like I know a
- 3:43Speaker 1: lot of celebrities, but I'm not really friends with them.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Bruce actually has friendships with quite big stars, and I
- 3:49Speaker 1: said to Bruce, you can't invite them. I don't want
- 3:51Speaker 1: anybody at our wedding whom my mother's going to harass
- 3:55Speaker 1: and pay attention to instead of me. So I don't
- 3:58Speaker 1: know what would you have. Taylor Swift is your flower
- 4:01Speaker 1: girl couru No.
- 4:02Speaker 3: But maybe as the entertainment.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Oh and pushing your luck right?
- 4:07Speaker 2: I mean, but she's also a singer too. God Mez's
- 4:09Speaker 2: also a singer. But for that day, I'd be like
- 4:11Speaker 2: Lissen Taylor, bring guitar, Bring the guitar. We also have
- 4:16Speaker 2: an unlikely reaction at first sight, but actually, if you
- 4:19Speaker 2: think about it, it's a really lovely thing to do.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Hailey Bieber Justin Bieber's wife has shown her support for
- 4:25Speaker 2: Selena after it was posted that she was engaged. Hailey
- 4:30Speaker 2: just hit the light button. Sometimes that's all you need.
- 4:32Speaker 1: To do is just hit the light button. You don't
- 4:34Speaker 1: need to make some big statement. They've had issues in
- 4:36Speaker 1: the past when Selena broke up with Justin, and Justin
- 4:39Speaker 1: broke up with Selena and he got together with Haley.
- 4:42Speaker 1: At first, the fans were really angry about it. They
- 4:44Speaker 1: support Hailey, but I think in the beginning they would
- 4:47Speaker 1: have rather had Selena. She was a much bigger star.
- 4:49Speaker 1: She probably still is. But I think that's kind of
- 4:51Speaker 1: a gracious thing for Haley to do. She didn't need
- 4:54Speaker 1: to say anything, and that although she hasn't said anything,
- 4:57Speaker 1: social and media now makes it so easy just to
- 5:00Speaker 1: give a thumbs up.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know it's funny too, because that's how
- 5:04Speaker 2: this whole thing is gauged.
- 5:06Speaker 3: People watch who hits.
- 5:08Speaker 2: The like button on celebrity accounts. It's amazing they know
- 5:12Speaker 2: when someone unfriends you like, they'll have a big thing
- 5:15Speaker 2: like j Lo unfriended so and so it's a whole
- 5:18Speaker 2: political structure that it's amazing that that's where we are now.
- 5:21Speaker 1: With that, it's the most powerful thing in the world.
- 5:25Speaker 1: For a long time, I've been doing TV shows and
- 5:29Speaker 1: I love it, and I love doing Elvis the Day
- 5:30Speaker 1: and radio shows. What makes the biggest difference to traffic,
- 5:35Speaker 1: to a podcast, to other work we do. It's social media.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I've joined TikTok oh I like it.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Oh why why not? I quite?
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's just feels so artificial. It feels so narcissistic to
- 5:50Speaker 1: put a camera in my face every morning and talk
- 5:53Speaker 1: for thirty seconds. And yeah, it just feels I don't know.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm not comfortable with it yet. If you look at
- 5:58Speaker 1: the videos I've been there and take a look at
- 6:02Speaker 1: don't go back to the beginning. Their start a little
- 6:04Speaker 1: and at first I wanted them to be perfect. I
- 6:06Speaker 1: wanted to bite, I wanted my makeup done, my head done,
- 6:10Speaker 1: and now please yesterday or this morning, I'm just in
- 6:12Speaker 1: a T shirt, right, But those are.
- 6:16Speaker 2: The ones I get the most likes and the most followers.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I think it's a very authentically driven platform as opposed
- 6:24Speaker 2: to what you would think where it might be something
- 6:26Speaker 2: that's pretentious.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I think you're going to get your most response therefrom.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I think you're right. Really, I think you're right because
- 6:31Speaker 1: on Instagram you can put filters on and you can
- 6:33Speaker 1: adapt the pictures. There's something really authentic about it. But
- 6:35Speaker 1: I think Corey, we're a similar age. We did not
- 6:38Speaker 1: grow up with social media. It came into our lives
- 6:41Speaker 1: a little later on, and I just I'm not as
- 6:44Speaker 1: a sort of confident about it as the kids, so
- 6:48Speaker 1: to speak. What about you? Are you confident? Let me know?
- 6:50Speaker 1: And let's go to our pole question of the day.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Every day on the nought even I Show, we do
- 6:54Speaker 1: a poll question. So Hailey Bieber has shown her support
- 6:58Speaker 1: for Selena Gomez. Was this the right thing to do? Yes?
- 7:02Speaker 4: Or no?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Some people are saying, oh, she's stealing the attention. I
- 7:06Speaker 1: don't think that's true. But what do you think? Yes
- 7:08Speaker 1: or no? Go vote on our Twitter page. I had
- 7:11Speaker 1: Naughty n Ice rob or at Facebook page, which is
- 7:14Speaker 1: naughty gossip And be sure to check back on Mindy
- 7:17Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey, Corey, what are you working
- 7:20Speaker 1: on that?
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yes, this is a story that I really love because
- 7:24Speaker 2: I think people are going to relate to it.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's a friendship story.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie they're opening up about
- 7:30Speaker 2: that big feud that halted.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Their friendship for over a year.
- 7:34Speaker 2: If you recall years back where they were doing The
- 7:36Speaker 2: Simple Life, that TV show that was so fun. I
- 7:40Speaker 2: just thought it was a great show. They were like
- 7:41Speaker 2: the new Lucy and Ethel those two.
- 7:43Speaker 3: They really were amazing.
- 7:44Speaker 2: But they had a really big falling out, which led
- 7:46Speaker 2: them to actually film season four separately, which made no
- 7:50Speaker 2: sense because they were supposed to be a duo. But
- 7:53Speaker 2: they claim that. Well, this is Paris's first Her take
- 7:56Speaker 2: on it was that the media. You know, everyone wants
- 7:59Speaker 2: to blame in the media, but she says the media
- 8:01Speaker 2: loved the starting feuds between people because obviously that would
- 8:06Speaker 2: sell the tabloids and it was the most thing, that
- 8:08Speaker 2: the biggest thing that media outlets would do. They would
- 8:10Speaker 2: just spin things and create drama and did not exist,
- 8:13Speaker 2: which she says was normal in the two thousands, And
- 8:16Speaker 2: she says they did it to everyone.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Now.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I push it back, and I say, girl, they do
- 8:20Speaker 2: that now too. I mean, that's that's how they sell
- 8:22Speaker 2: the papers, right or whatever the platforms are. But Nicole Richie,
- 8:27Speaker 2: she agrees she's echoing Harris's Hilton Paris's Paris Hilton sentiment,
- 8:34Speaker 2: and she's admitting that. You know what, Also, their age
- 8:37Speaker 2: was a big factor, being young, being inexperienced, thrust into
- 8:41Speaker 2: the spotlight the way they were so quickly, and then
- 8:45Speaker 2: they became these huge stars, overnight sensations.
- 8:47Speaker 3: And she says, we did not know how to communicate
- 8:49Speaker 3: with each other.
- 8:50Speaker 2: So they both would hear like a rumor about the
- 8:52Speaker 2: other and that the other one that supposedly said about them,
- 8:56Speaker 2: and they would believe it and have a fight with
- 8:58Speaker 2: each other and break apart. So anyway, I just think
- 9:00Speaker 2: what's great about the story is the two have since
- 9:03Speaker 2: they've repaired their relationship and they now both realize that
- 9:07Speaker 2: they are sort of sorry for that time they lost
- 9:10Speaker 2: and they wish they can kind of go back and
- 9:11Speaker 2: do it again. But now they're together and they think
- 9:13Speaker 2: it's both helped both of them really in how they
- 9:17Speaker 2: perceive relationships with people going forward, making time to communicate,
- 9:22Speaker 2: talk things through, and not just believe the outsiders. If
- 9:25Speaker 2: you have a strong bond, you go to that person
- 9:27Speaker 2: and talk first. So what do you think about that
- 9:29Speaker 2: with their friendship?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Well, I have some insight. I was Paris Hilton's publicists
- 9:33Speaker 1: at the time, so I issued the statement confirming that
- 9:36Speaker 1: her and Nicole had fell out. And so I think
- 9:39Speaker 1: there's a lot of truth to this. I think that
- 9:42Speaker 1: they were both so young, and they both were thrust
- 9:44Speaker 1: into the spotlight. This show became a monster hit overnight.
- 9:48Speaker 1: It was huge, and it was right after Paris's sex
- 9:51Speaker 1: tape got leaked, and so this show exploded. Neither one
- 9:55Speaker 1: of them had the tools, the skills, They weren't reading
- 9:58Speaker 1: to really really deal with this. At the time, Paris
- 10:02Speaker 1: was more famous, but Nicole was actually more funny. Yes,
- 10:05Speaker 1: Nicole was the favorite on the show, even though it
- 10:07Speaker 1: was Paris's fame. And I think all of this stuff
- 10:10Speaker 1: sort of mixed together in this ugly melting pot. Now
- 10:12Speaker 1: were the media to blame, I don't know. Here, Like
- 10:15Speaker 1: the media does love a good cat fight. However, these
- 10:19Speaker 1: two certainly gave it to the media true. And I
- 10:22Speaker 1: know from working with Paris. Paris would talk to the
- 10:26Speaker 1: press people all the time, and I used to speak
- 10:28Speaker 1: to her every morning to see what she did last night.
- 10:31Speaker 1: She was always out with a reporter from US Weekly
- 10:33Speaker 1: or one of the magazines, and so clearly they were
- 10:36Speaker 1: feeding this frenzy. So at the moment. Now it's easy
- 10:40Speaker 1: to look back and say I had nothing to do
- 10:42Speaker 1: with me. It was just those awful people in the press,
- 10:45Speaker 1: where I think they really enjoyed all this publicity. I
- 10:48Speaker 1: remember it being on the phone with Paris and we
- 10:51Speaker 1: had to give a statement about what happened, and I said, well,
- 10:54Speaker 1: we don't have to say anything, Paris, you can just
- 10:56Speaker 1: give a feeling. And the statement we put out is
- 11:00Speaker 1: Nicole the best and I hope she is happy and healthy.
- 11:05Speaker 1: But it's a healthy part that's a dig because there
- 11:07Speaker 1: was lots of rumors about the coal and substance abuse,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and so it was a really sort of deviously clever statement.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I can't take credit for that. Paris is the best
- 11:17Speaker 1: publicist in the world, but I do like to think
- 11:19Speaker 1: they've both betured what this was twenty twenty five years ago,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and they both have their own kids now, And I
- 11:25Speaker 1: do like the takeaway check in on your friends, don't
- 11:28Speaker 1: let stuff fester. If there's a problem, talk about it, Okay,
- 11:31Speaker 1: Moving along. Prince Harry has done the Santa Clause hat
- 11:35Speaker 1: saying it's okay to be sad at Christmas. So Harry
- 11:38Speaker 1: did a video for a charity he supports. It's called
- 11:41Speaker 1: Scottish Little Soldiers, and he made an appearance wearing a
- 11:44Speaker 1: little Santa's hat. He looks so cute, and he said,
- 11:47Speaker 1: it's okay to feel a little bit sad at Christmas,
- 11:52Speaker 1: and some people will be celebrated and happy and others
- 11:54Speaker 1: will be sad, and maybe you'll experience one of these emotions,
- 12:00Speaker 1: which is absolutely fine. I think this is when Harry's
- 12:03Speaker 1: at his best, when he's talking about mental health, when
- 12:05Speaker 1: he's talking about problems. When he's a prince, you would
- 12:08Speaker 1: think he had no worries in the world, and he's
- 12:11Speaker 1: sort of relatable to know that Harry does struggle too.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And I would guess this Christmas. I've covered the royals
- 12:17Speaker 1: for a long time. I've worked for the British Royal
- 12:20Speaker 1: family too. Christmas can be very stressful and Harry is
- 12:23Speaker 1: by himself. He's with Megan and his children. I will
- 12:26Speaker 1: give you that. But his family are all getting together.
- 12:29Speaker 1: They're getting together in England. They'll go to church together.
- 12:32Speaker 1: He'll see the footage, he'll see the video, he'll see
- 12:34Speaker 1: the photographs. It must be a bit of a moment
- 12:37Speaker 1: of melancholy for Harry.
- 12:39Speaker 2: And I also think to the loss of his mother.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I can't imagine what that's like. I guess at some
- 12:47Speaker 2: point most of us will experience that, But for now,
- 12:51Speaker 2: I know that that's just a tough time of year
- 12:53Speaker 2: for a lot of people, especially when as a parent
- 12:55Speaker 2: who's no longer around. So that's compiled on top of
- 12:58Speaker 2: the family that you just mentioned. So I'm sure it's
- 13:02Speaker 2: a tough time. But I do love that he's reaching.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Out and making this commentary to people so.
- 13:06Speaker 2: That people feel they are not alone or isolated in
- 13:09Speaker 2: the situation and they can relate to that, have someone
- 13:12Speaker 2: relate to their feelings.
- 13:13Speaker 1: That's not alone. So over the Christmas holiday, nor tea
- 13:16Speaker 1: Is I plan to do shows, so the co hosts
- 13:19Speaker 1: that are around will join me. Those that aren't. The
- 13:21Speaker 1: days that they're not, I'll do solo shows so we
- 13:24Speaker 1: will be here for each other over the holidays. It
- 13:26Speaker 1: can be a very tricky time. Now you're also going
- 13:28Speaker 1: to read a lot of gossip that Harry and Meghan
- 13:31Speaker 1: did not make this video together. They didn't, but it's nonsense.
- 13:34Speaker 1: They're doing fine. My sources tell me they're both going
- 13:37Speaker 1: down their own path. Business wise, charity wise, the Sussex
- 13:41Speaker 1: brand did not quite work out to be what they
- 13:43Speaker 1: wanted it to be. So now they're going to focus
- 13:45Speaker 1: on their individual endeavors. But that does not mean that
- 13:49Speaker 1: their marriage is not still strong. Mind Side has telling me,
- 13:52Speaker 1: like every marriage there's ups and dance, but there's more
- 13:55Speaker 1: ups than dance. And what's most important is both of
- 13:58Speaker 1: them want to make this work okay quickly before we
- 14:01Speaker 1: get a break call. Right. This story made me laugh.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Beathty Frankel is such a trouble baker. She just can't
- 14:06Speaker 1: help us up. And it's always a dig at the heuswives.
- 14:08Speaker 1: It's always a little bit of a dick and you.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Know it's getting tired, really, but she always finds a
- 14:14Speaker 2: way to like sort of like insert herself in craziness.
- 14:17Speaker 3: So now she's not holding back.
- 14:20Speaker 2: In a TikTok blind taste test, where she compared Harry
- 14:24Speaker 2: Hamlin's quote Harry's famous sauce to the popular Rouse Marinera,
- 14:29Speaker 2: which is one of my favorites. Like Joey My, Joey
- 14:31Speaker 2: loves rows, so you gotta be really good that go
- 14:34Speaker 2: up against rows anyway, It's yeah, it's really good sauce.
- 14:37Speaker 2: But while she prais Rows for being like really nice.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Her reaction to Harry Hamlin's Rosemary red wine recipe was
- 14:44Speaker 2: less than favorable. After one spoonful, Franko made a sour
- 14:49Speaker 2: face and she exclaimed, no, I don't know what that is,
- 14:52Speaker 2: and then she went on to critique the sauces overpowering
- 14:55Speaker 2: vinegar or wine flavors. She gasped, and she covered her
- 15:00Speaker 2: mouth dramatically, you know, like as only she could do.
- 15:03Speaker 2: And she says, I'm sorry, and she swears a cursed
- 15:06Speaker 2: word and begins an as an ens and tea, and
- 15:09Speaker 2: she says, why did you send it? She says, and
- 15:13Speaker 2: she's addressing Harry Hamlin directly when she says that.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Now, she concluded her scathing review.
- 15:18Speaker 2: By stating that the product couldn't possibly represent Harry and Lisa,
- 15:22Speaker 2: which is like another dig atim. So you're right, she's
- 15:25Speaker 2: always coming for the housewives because you know, let's just
- 15:27Speaker 2: face it, that's the biggest fame other than being on
- 15:30Speaker 2: The Apprentice, I guess that's the biggest fame Bethany has had.
- 15:33Speaker 2: She's had her daytime talk show that flopped, but that
- 15:35Speaker 2: consistent thing for her housewives, and she's dying to be
- 15:38Speaker 2: synonymous with them.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah. A friend of mine in the media of
- 15:42Speaker 1: really seeing a producer at NBC calls Bethany a perpetual pest.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I think that's good.
- 15:50Speaker 1: It's the P and the P that makes me so funny.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Petual pest, Bethany will always be a past but I
- 15:56Speaker 1: got a tip hot to her. Bethany, you know how
- 15:58Speaker 1: to get yourself keep yourself in the news. Okay, we're
- 16:01Speaker 1: going to take a quick break, then we'll be right back.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Welcome back to beat Naught. But my show Call Me
- 16:07Speaker 1: today is flying by my friend. Hey, let's get to
- 16:10Speaker 1: the polls. Last show, we talked about Kate Middleton preparing
- 16:14Speaker 1: for her role as Queen sooner than expected amid King
- 16:19Speaker 1: Charles's cancer battle. Our question was very simple, will Kate
- 16:24Speaker 1: make a good queen? Eighty seven percent said yes. I
- 16:28Speaker 1: think so too. I think she was do a really,
- 16:31Speaker 1: really good job at this. She's not a natural show pony,
- 16:34Speaker 1: she doesn't like public speaking that much, but she's really
- 16:36Speaker 1: grown into this role. Good for you, Kate. Okay, don't
- 16:40Speaker 1: forget to vote untoday's poll. Go to a Twitter page
- 16:45Speaker 1: had naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is Naughty Gossip
- 16:48Speaker 1: and sure to check back on Monday to hear your
- 16:52Speaker 1: results are now my favorite part of the show and
- 16:58Speaker 1: the day.
- 17:00Speaker 2: This is a very nice story, very very relatable for
- 17:03Speaker 2: a lot of women too. So, you know, Pamela Anderson
- 17:05Speaker 2: in the past year or so, she really got into
- 17:08Speaker 2: the headlines because she decided to go make up free,
- 17:10Speaker 2: and now she's sharing why. She said, I wanted to
- 17:13Speaker 2: remember who I was. That was her decision and it
- 17:16Speaker 2: was basically a private experiment, she says, meant to reconnect
- 17:20Speaker 2: with her true self without all the makeup. So this
- 17:22Speaker 2: whole peeling it back, as she calls it, was just
- 17:25Speaker 2: kind of she started. She says, you know, she wanted
- 17:28Speaker 2: to remember who she was, and she reflects in her decision,
- 17:30Speaker 2: and she explained that she's been playing characters her whole life,
- 17:33Speaker 2: and she wants to play characters in movies. She wanted
- 17:36Speaker 2: to play them in film and TV, but not in.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Her personal life.
- 17:40Speaker 2: So she added with a laugh that she just wanted
- 17:42Speaker 2: to be herself. I wanted to be It was an experiment.
- 17:45Speaker 2: I did it, and I felt like something that anyone
- 17:48Speaker 2: can also do. So I cannot wait to see this
- 17:51Speaker 2: new film. I hear she's amazing. In the last Showgirl
- 17:54Speaker 2: and she's in a new place where she's getting like
- 17:56Speaker 2: Oscar talk.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It's that thing. Hence might have seen it in a
- 17:59Speaker 1: film festival. I said, she is that good. I have
- 18:02Speaker 1: a gay friend who used to wear a lot of
- 18:04Speaker 1: makeup all the time, and I remember once him saying
- 18:08Speaker 1: to me, and it broke my heart. He said, it's
- 18:09Speaker 1: my mask. He said, I wear it to disappear, and
- 18:13Speaker 1: it really broke my heart. And I think Pam is
- 18:16Speaker 1: saying something similar here. It's about playing a character where
- 18:20Speaker 1: in life the only chance we have of happiness is
- 18:23Speaker 1: when we're brave enough to play ourselves. Pam, you are
- 18:26Speaker 1: the nicest of the day. Let's do ad naughties of
- 18:28Speaker 1: the day, ughty, naughty. Mariah Carey has canceled her shows
- 18:31Speaker 1: in Pittsburgh due to illness. I think illness is the naughtiest,
- 18:34Speaker 1: not Mariah, although it is annoying when you look forward
- 18:37Speaker 1: to seeing your favorite sety and they cancel literally hours
- 18:41Speaker 1: days before. Mariah's on Christmas tour Queen of Christmas. I
- 18:45Speaker 1: think she's doing over twenty different cities going to do
- 18:50Speaker 1: her Christmas show. I saw it. It is mag nificent,
- 18:54Speaker 1: And I do know this about Mariah she's a work
- 18:56Speaker 1: course and she's a professional. Is she a diva? Absolutely,
- 19:00Speaker 1: But you can be a diva and a professional one too,
- 19:02Speaker 1: and that is Mariah. She hates canceling shows. Mariah, get
- 19:07Speaker 1: well soon. Let's end with a moment of Rob. You So,
- 19:11Speaker 1: for twenty minutes, five days a week, we give you
- 19:14Speaker 1: all the breaking the best celebrity news, but for a moment,
- 19:17Speaker 1: just the moment, we're a little bit more deep. Today's
- 19:21Speaker 1: moment of Rob. Don't be afraid to fail. It's not
- 19:26Speaker 1: the end of the world, and in many ways, it's
- 19:29Speaker 1: actually the beginning of something good. When you fail, you
- 19:32Speaker 1: learn how to get better at something. I've tried so
- 19:36Speaker 1: many different things in my life and I was not
- 19:38Speaker 1: good at any of them to begin with, including this podcast,
- 19:41Speaker 1: but I kept at it. You get better if you
- 19:43Speaker 1: go to the gym every day. I'm not recommending it,
- 19:46Speaker 1: but if you do, you will get muscle it. You
- 19:49Speaker 1: will get healthier. If you go for a walk every day,
- 19:52Speaker 1: you will feel better. The same with your passions. If
- 19:56Speaker 1: you really like something, spend an hour a day doing it.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I'm working on a new, secret little project that I
- 20:03Speaker 1: can't tell you about yet, but I'm really bursting at
- 20:05Speaker 1: the seams. But what I'm doing is I'm new to
- 20:07Speaker 1: this and I'm learning my craft, and I'm scheduling on
- 20:11Speaker 1: my calendar an hour a day to practice an hour
- 20:15Speaker 1: a day, and already, just in a few weeks, I've
- 20:17Speaker 1: got so much better. Honestly, naughties, don't be afraid to fail.
- 20:22Speaker 1: It's actually really helpful. Hey, that is it for this week.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening to the Naughty but
- 20:29Speaker 1: Nice with Rob and Corey show. We're a production of iHeartRadio.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Don't forget to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
- 20:36Speaker 1: wherever you listen, leave us a review to if you can.
- 20:40Speaker 1: They really do help. And let's all sing our tagline together. Naughties.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Remember you're going to be naughty to take care everybody.
- 20:59Speaker 1: It's not even nice with Bro
