- 1:24Speaker 6: to the surprise of No.
- 1:25Speaker 2: One. Uh.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Member of the twenty twenty two high school class so
- 1:29Speaker 6: very similar to football, played for UMass before going to
- 1:32Speaker 6: Saint John's. He was actually the Big East Player of
- 1:35Speaker 6: the Year for Saint John's, which year, oh like two
- 1:39Speaker 6: years ago, and then he declared for the NBA Draft
- 1:42Speaker 6: when undrafted In twenty twenty five, he did sign a
- 1:45Speaker 6: two way contract with the Utah Jazz, did not compete
- 1:48Speaker 6: in NBA Summer League. Then he was traded to Boston
- 1:52Speaker 6: played in the preseason, but never played in a regular
- 1:54Speaker 6: season or G League game for the Celtics either. And
- 1:57Speaker 6: this injunction allows him to join LSU for the twenty
- 2:00Speaker 6: twenty six, twenty seven seasons. So Wade's rosters coming together.
- 2:03Speaker 6: We talked about sky Clark with two y's last week.
- 2:06Speaker 6: They got a guy over the weekend as well to
- 2:08Speaker 6: join him in the backcourt. And now apparently our j Lewis.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Wait for now like forever, referred to it as sky
- 2:16Speaker 2: with two wives. I mean, I think it's yeah, I know,
- 2:20Speaker 2: that's what I'm saying. I hope we just started something.
- 2:25Speaker 6: It's his name.
- 2:27Speaker 5: What if we just said Skye Sky?
- 2:29Speaker 6: I like that just sounded out.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:33Speaker 5: Every time he makes it three or something, everyone's just
- 2:35Speaker 5: like Skye.
- 2:38Speaker 6: So now officially you have seven guys on the roster.
- 2:42Speaker 6: Officially we got a team.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Guy, you got a team. Have we got a couple
- 2:46Speaker 2: of guys that you can even get tired?
- 2:47Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 2:48Speaker 6: Sky Clark made five dant over the weekend and now
- 2:51Speaker 6: R J. Lewis So there you go.
- 2:55Speaker 5: So we have a former NFL player on LSU football
- 2:59Speaker 5: and a former.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And a.
- 3:02Speaker 6: Zella Shu the new minor league.
- 3:05Speaker 5: I'd be like less. I don't know. Do you think
- 3:10Speaker 5: Lane got the idea from will.
- 3:13Speaker 2: They like the bros?
- 3:14Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 3:14Speaker 2: You think they look at each other and like tie
- 3:16Speaker 2: head bands around their head. Let's do this thats stuff up.
- 3:22Speaker 2: One of them, yeah, Dean Porter and which ones? Which
- 3:26Speaker 2: Porter is the one with the no which whit? Which
- 3:29Speaker 2: one is? Let's call them the Bash brothers. I think
- 3:33Speaker 2: Lane would be Dean Porter.
- 3:36Speaker 6: Gotta give Casey and the Chad credit. He gave us
- 3:38Speaker 6: a better nickname to wise Sky. That is pretty good.
- 3:43Speaker 5: For sky CLOrk two wise Sky because it.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Rhymes I like that.
- 3:48Speaker 5: That's that's really I don't like it.
- 3:51Speaker 3: He is mause he didn't come up with it.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I just don't understand it, because.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Like one Willie and the Goody got it.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I thought we was talking about Lane and we'll wait.
- 4:04Speaker 6: Okay, going back to where I got distracted, because it
- 4:07Speaker 6: was a good comment.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I was thinking of nicknames for Lane, but also Wade,
- 4:12Speaker 2: get that CT out of your brain. I'm locked in
- 4:16Speaker 2: bro Our friend Aaron Sorrez, who we've had on this
- 4:19Speaker 2: show many of times.
- 4:21Speaker 4: He had a tweet for those scoring at home else
- 4:23Speaker 4: She's current basketball roster four guys fully cleared to play,
- 4:27Speaker 4: three guys playing on an injunction, four international players that
- 4:31Speaker 4: let's be honest, we're not totally sure about.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Welcome to college sports in twenty twenty six. It's kind
- 4:39Speaker 3: of fair.
- 4:39Speaker 2: So the moon.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Wait, the dietician is going to have to playing some
- 4:45Speaker 5: Ramadan mhm.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't know how.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I don't know how they do that, got the work
- 4:52Speaker 5: cut out for him, because then Kyrie.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Used to do that.
- 4:55Speaker 6: I think, so, yeah, yeah, I think that's that sounds right?
- 5:02Speaker 5: All right, all right, we have fun time right now?
- 5:05Speaker 2: How fun are we having? How much fun?
- 5:06Speaker 3: This is why I went to NFL radio.
- 5:09Speaker 2: This is why. Yeah, yes, so I will say this.
- 5:18Speaker 2: It is exciting because we do talk about sports being
- 5:22Speaker 2: the greatest reality television show, and my gosh, this is like,
- 5:28Speaker 2: what's the most cluster, you know what of a reality
- 5:32Speaker 2: show out there? What's that one?
- 5:35Speaker 3: I just want you all to know.
- 5:38Speaker 2: That R. J.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Lewis is in college basketball was a.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Dude's biggest player of the year.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Like, but he like and he earned it too, and
- 5:47Speaker 4: that was a good Big East year. The Biggest is
- 5:49Speaker 4: really good in basketball.
- 5:50Speaker 2: We all know that.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Like when I was.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Doing the College show, we talked about him that basketball
- 5:58Speaker 4: season as much as we talked about everybody, like he was.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He was a group of three players, so he was
- 6:05Speaker 2: one of them.
- 6:05Speaker 6: It was. It was twenty twenty four to twenty twenty five,
- 6:08Speaker 6: eighteen point two points, seven point two rebounds. Again, yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 6: he's really good.
- 6:13Speaker 4: So, like the on court portion of this is the
- 6:17Speaker 4: best player else you's had a long time. What does
- 6:22Speaker 4: the final fourm roster look like? Aaron Torus's point, We'll
- 6:26Speaker 4: see the first opening tip. But if he is playing
- 6:29Speaker 4: in an LSU uniform, the actual on court portion of
- 6:33Speaker 4: it the hell of a basketball player. It's just how
- 6:35Speaker 4: he got to LSU. LSU on the road and every
- 6:40Speaker 4: sport this year is going to get the other crowds
- 6:43Speaker 4: best so much, the best that they have to offer,
- 6:47Speaker 4: whatever the very best of that place.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Is, you're gonna see it. And again I'm not gonna
- 6:52Speaker 3: be a hypocrite.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I enjoy being that the villain portion of it, I
- 6:56Speaker 4: do because I don't care about anybody else. I used
- 6:59Speaker 4: to have to act like I cared about other places
- 7:02Speaker 4: because I was covering them. I don't do that anymore,
- 7:04Speaker 4: so I don't care. I only care about LSU. It
- 7:07Speaker 4: still don't mean we have to like how they got here,
- 7:09Speaker 4: because we don't. But I'm just letting you know that
- 7:13Speaker 4: they're gonna get the very best of everybody's crowd.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Were like that. I like those guys that, you know,
- 7:22Speaker 2: the soldiers in the army that don't like, really agree
- 7:27Speaker 2: with the orders they are being given. We're gonna do
- 7:29Speaker 2: it our fan base, Well, you might not agree how
- 7:32Speaker 2: you got to your roster, how you're planning, and everybody's
- 7:34Speaker 2: gonna hate you. That's okay. We're gonna strap up every Saturday.
- 7:39Speaker 2: We're gonna put on an LSU shirt. We're gonna cheer
- 7:42Speaker 2: our asses off, and no one's gonna like us. Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 2: and maybe we would ever game about fifty I don't know.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Then you've got to think, but NFL guys.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Coach Hogue thirty four, bring it on. L s U
- 8:01Speaker 4: is the nWo of college sports. Now let the revenge
- 8:04Speaker 4: toward begin.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Let's say this, if you are going to go out
- 8:10Speaker 2: on a limb like that and push the limits better win.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Uh my name fifty nine eighteen t BA A bear
- 8:17Speaker 4: And then in quotations, NFL player Bob was technically he
- 8:21Speaker 4: went through almost with the whole all through training camp,
- 8:24Speaker 4: he made it to final cuts.
- 8:25Speaker 2: He was.
- 8:27Speaker 4: It wasn't a lot. He had money, he tells us
- 8:29Speaker 4: all the time. He got paid something.
- 8:30Speaker 6: He played in four preseason games.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that's he had a ram jersey with his name
- 8:35Speaker 4: on the back, had uniforms and everything.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Loved.
- 8:39Speaker 6: Kronky told his Kronky story here, big Kronky guy.
- 8:45Speaker 2: M hm, So you do all this. Let's just let's
- 8:48Speaker 2: let's stick with kind of what I what I just
- 8:50Speaker 2: kind of mentioned about, like he got to win. You
- 8:52Speaker 2: do all this right, and and like look we we
- 8:55Speaker 2: do give a good point, like we you know, you
- 8:58Speaker 2: pay a lot of money to get the staff, right,
- 9:00Speaker 2: you do you as a fan base, as everything as
- 9:04Speaker 2: college football, and again, somebody's got to be the first
- 9:06Speaker 2: to do. We just happen to be the first in
- 9:08Speaker 2: a lot of fronts right now. You you kind of
- 9:11Speaker 2: look the other way, right just because like look it's
- 9:13Speaker 2: it's LSU whatever. Let's improve the team. Let's do all that.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And like look, I'm gonna be the first one out
- 9:17Speaker 2: there cheering on the team every single Saturday. But like,
- 9:21Speaker 2: what happens if you go and have four losses? Like
- 9:25Speaker 2: it is? I'm not saying like anything significant happens, but like,
- 9:30Speaker 2: like what makes you feel validated? I guess as a
- 9:32Speaker 2: fan for looking the other way a little bit? Win
- 9:37Speaker 2: them all? Win, win, win them all? And when when everything?
- 9:41Speaker 4: If you lose?
- 9:42Speaker 2: So what I'm saying, if you have four losses, like what, like.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Then everybody doesn't turn a blind eye.
- 9:48Speaker 2: To some things. Yeah, I mean that's that's what I think.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Think cures all And I like that's an old saying,
- 9:53Speaker 4: but it it's factual.
- 9:56Speaker 3: It does. It just does.
- 9:57Speaker 4: It doesn't matter what you win, you get. You can
- 10:01Speaker 4: get away with some things if you're winning. Yeah, I mean,
- 10:06Speaker 4: NFL coaches, you're winning, we don't like what you're doing.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Literally, they can bring a dog to press conference.
- 10:16Speaker 6: Juice.
- 10:17Speaker 5: They posted a photo of Juice on elis Us.
- 10:21Speaker 4: I was saying this yesterday, Matt, and everybody in this
- 10:24Speaker 4: room knows it's true. There's like three guys on every
- 10:27Speaker 4: NFL team, and maybe not even three on some because
- 10:30Speaker 4: there's the Browns. But like there's three guys on every
- 10:32Speaker 4: team that can be a distraction and can get away
- 10:35Speaker 4: with some stuff and can be in the headlines for
- 10:37Speaker 4: the wrong reasons and they'll be okay. But there's fifty
- 10:42Speaker 4: guys on every NFL roster that if you're a distraction,
- 10:45Speaker 4: see you, Bud, Yeah you're gone, doesn't matter. But those
- 10:48Speaker 4: three guys are kind of what we're talking about. They
- 10:51Speaker 4: can be a distraction because there's the three dudes on
- 10:54Speaker 4: the team. Same thing with like you know you mentioned Braves.
- 10:57Speaker 4: He s went to Super Bowl last year. There's some
- 10:59Speaker 4: coaches that probably would have lost their job after all
- 11:02Speaker 4: of that distraction in the off season of Raves was
- 11:05Speaker 4: winning games. He's got he's got you know, long history
- 11:09Speaker 4: there of winning as a player as well.
- 11:12Speaker 2: So there there is a lot of expectation that comes
- 11:16Speaker 2: with making this much noise in the offseason, right and
- 11:19Speaker 2: and it's unfair expectations because it's still a first year
- 11:22Speaker 2: coaching staff, But you make all this noise, your ruffle
- 11:27Speaker 2: feathers all over the country. There is an expectation and
- 11:30Speaker 2: you have to be okay with the consequence either way.
- 11:33Speaker 2: The consequence can be positive consequence or negative. Like if
- 11:36Speaker 2: you don't make the playoffs this year is the noise
- 11:40Speaker 2: so loud, it's a it's like it's a huge letdown,
- 11:45Speaker 2: like because people are gonna be dancing on your grave
- 11:47Speaker 2: if you don't make the playoffs, right, and they're going
- 11:49Speaker 2: to be waiting to.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Do it, ready to do it.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Like if you lose a game, they're going to act
- 11:55Speaker 4: like you just went in won five games.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It just knows like a family. It's an unfair expectation
- 12:00Speaker 2: because again, first year head coach, but you've you've wrestled, you,
- 12:05Speaker 2: you've pushed the limits so far. The first guy to
- 12:08Speaker 2: do a lot of things is often hated. Yeah, so
- 12:12Speaker 2: people are ready, right, So what is what would be
- 12:15Speaker 2: considered like a colossal letdown of a season? What about
- 12:21Speaker 2: three losses and not making the playoffs?
- 12:23Speaker 4: It depends on who, depends on who you beat nine
- 12:26Speaker 4: and three, and if you're on like the very edge
- 12:28Speaker 4: of it, that's that's the minimum.
- 12:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree with it.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Again, like you get by like there's no like, there's
- 12:34Speaker 2: not last year, right, l she was a seven win
- 12:38Speaker 2: team last year and very easily could have been a
- 12:40Speaker 2: five win team.
- 12:42Speaker 3: They were bad last year.
- 12:43Speaker 4: So I do think the national expectation, like who was
- 12:47Speaker 4: it was it Jordan Rodgers that said they have to
- 12:49Speaker 4: at least play for national championship.
- 12:51Speaker 3: That's literal.
- 12:51Speaker 4: That is insane that that when he said that he
- 12:54Speaker 4: knew what he was doing, even.
- 12:55Speaker 5: If I was a absolutely I mean to be clear,
- 12:58Speaker 5: we are all huge old Shoe fans in here, But
- 13:00Speaker 5: even if I was an LSU fan to the point
- 13:03Speaker 5: to where I was delusional, I don't even think that
- 13:06Speaker 5: I would have national championship as an expectation.
- 13:08Speaker 4: That as a bare minimum, No for sure, Yeah.
- 13:11Speaker 5: No, not as the minimum, like it's not an out
- 13:14Speaker 5: of your bust.
- 13:15Speaker 4: I think nine and three is the bare minimum with
- 13:17Speaker 4: wins over like somebody like Texas or or A and M.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Or I think the season is now teed up and
- 13:23Speaker 2: set up to the point where it's playoff of bus
- 13:27Speaker 2: from a from a being happy standpoint, not from like
- 13:30Speaker 2: that there's any going to be any like any real
- 13:32Speaker 2: consequence to not having a good season. Yeah, there's no
- 13:36Speaker 2: there's no fallout for.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Right, just the fan base.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Yeah, just the fan base being disappointed or happy or whatever.
- 13:42Speaker 4: I guess we got to take a breakout a minute.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I was about to rap, we're actually about a minute
- 13:47Speaker 4: over it's gotta stay on the clock.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Gotta keep that in truth. E Griddy.
- 13:52Speaker 4: All right, OTB mail bag, so we can get away
- 13:55Speaker 4: from the courtroom and get into some fun. You weren't
- 13:58Speaker 4: gonna do it when I leave. Yeah, well you can
- 14:01Speaker 4: do a second version of it. I gotta leave at
- 14:03Speaker 4: nine o'clock. We got something over on the ponder Rose.
- 14:05Speaker 4: I gotta go to the facility. But we're gonna do
- 14:07Speaker 4: OTB mail bag.
- 14:08Speaker 2: He's talking about line you'll probably be there. Okay, you
- 14:12Speaker 2: go talk to your NFL brethren over there. You think
- 14:15Speaker 2: he'll be there, No on the team. Yeah, so I'm
- 14:19Speaker 2: saying you think he'll be there, your boys go ahead.
- 14:25Speaker 4: I don't know what you're trying to do there, but
- 14:27Speaker 4: we're gonna do OTB mail bag. Get your questions inside
- 14:30Speaker 4: the chat now hashtag OTB mail bag. You can text
- 14:34Speaker 4: them in. I'm gonna mess this up. Two two five
- 14:36Speaker 4: four nine nine four five.
- 14:38Speaker 3: We did it.
- 14:39Speaker 4: You can do that as well more OTV when we
- 14:41Speaker 4: come back here live from the Raisin Kines studio.

- 15:59Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 16:23Speaker 2: So true. This reminds me of the Wedding Singer, but
- 16:30Speaker 2: great movie I haven't seen that on TVs in a while.
- 16:34Speaker 4: I don't find myself to TVs very often anymore.
- 16:37Speaker 2: I find myself to the live television very often.
- 16:40Speaker 3: TBS was what channel for you growing up?
- 16:43Speaker 2: Twenty one fourteen, back when, back when, back in the
- 16:48Speaker 2: good old days, when channels had numbers thirty one, thirty.
- 16:51Speaker 3: One and Baton roies for sure, remember it was.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Thirty thirty one, and then tv ABC Families thirty two, Adult.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Fourteen, Threetport, thirty one batteries. I remember that because Brain
- 17:01Speaker 4: Cartoon Network was thirty three. I believe, yep, that's what
- 17:03Speaker 4: we had to thirty nine and three four. Spike was
- 17:05Speaker 4: forty one, and then ESPN one and two was thirty
- 17:10Speaker 4: five thirty six. I think the Discovery Channel is forty six.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Dude, I live. I lived in the thirties, from Nickelodeon
- 17:16Speaker 6: at thirty to ESPN two at thirty six. That the
- 17:18Speaker 6: range we lived in.
- 17:19Speaker 2: There was a good range. You had to do bar
- 17:23Speaker 2: rescue obviously at night.
- 17:25Speaker 4: God bar rescue got Super Bowl one time, John Tap
- 17:30Speaker 4: the intent is good, Yeah, it's fun, very very good.
- 17:34Speaker 6: Tapfer right, I don't know.
- 17:36Speaker 2: FX was twenty five USA, twenty seven, t and T
- 17:39Speaker 2: twenty eight we.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Had the same Monday night. We're all channel lak.
- 17:44Speaker 5: You know, I think you'll be honest with all nobody
- 17:46Speaker 5: cares about your channels, be real honest.
- 17:50Speaker 6: Why I care?
- 17:55Speaker 4: We do?
- 17:56Speaker 2: We care.
- 17:58Speaker 4: It is funny though, how numbers can and we're we're
- 18:02Speaker 4: very bad about memory and different things. But you ask
- 18:05Speaker 4: a player about a number, numbers are going to stick
- 18:08Speaker 4: into your head.
- 18:09Speaker 3: All right, lands, let's move on. We'll move on.
- 18:15Speaker 6: I help this special delivery for the bench and.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Look it is marked most urgent.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I'll be writing to you the internet. What the is
- 18:23Speaker 2: the internet?
- 18:34Speaker 4: Hashtag o t B mailbag favorite breed of dog Australian shepherd,
- 18:40Speaker 4: all of them.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Kylie courses. Because that's what I got.
- 18:45Speaker 6: That's why I said on showing shepherd, because that's what
- 18:47Speaker 6: I have, like a Chihuahua.
- 18:51Speaker 5: I have a toy poodle who still is with my parents,
- 18:57Speaker 5: but she lived with me for a really long time
- 18:59Speaker 5: and that was one of the best dogs ever.
- 19:02Speaker 6: Could Baker huge fan of poodles.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Oh yeah, my dad used to have police German shepherds.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Those are pretty cool.
- 19:09Speaker 5: My parents have a shepherd right now and she's she's awesome.
- 19:14Speaker 3: He would talk to him in German and they do stuff.
- 19:17Speaker 2: We had a lot of English bulldogs for a while
- 19:19Speaker 2: as well. Youngis are awesome.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Did they come with a lot?
- 19:23Speaker 2: Though they do come with a lot, but they were awesome.
- 19:26Speaker 2: When I went to Green Bay, I lived in a condo,
- 19:28Speaker 2: so like I wasn't gonna get and I wanted a dog. Yeah,
- 19:31Speaker 2: you know, living by yourself, you want I want a
- 19:34Speaker 2: dog and I didn't want to get something. I had
- 19:37Speaker 2: to walk a lot, a lot of energys. I was
- 19:39Speaker 2: in condo, so yeah, English bull dog they don't want
- 19:41Speaker 2: to walk first one, Oh yeah, I would take him
- 19:43Speaker 2: for a walk and he looked at me like, hey, well,
- 19:46Speaker 2: like when we going back. There's a perfectly good floor
- 19:49Speaker 2: laying on right now. A lot a Burmese mountain dog.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Those are sweet, okay, yeah, husky. I don't think i'd
- 19:56Speaker 2: ever get one because they're sore, too hot.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Too hot around here, Like all right, I really like
- 20:06Speaker 3: this one.
- 20:06Speaker 4: This is a really going from Brett inside the chat
- 20:09Speaker 4: hashtag go to b mailbag. What's something you learned in
- 20:12Speaker 4: the NFL that you wish you could have gone back
- 20:14Speaker 4: to college and used.
- 20:16Speaker 5: That is a good question.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Everything my understanding of the game. Like I felt like
- 20:24Speaker 4: I did go into the NFL with a really good
- 20:26Speaker 4: book of knowledge, because Jimbo did have some NFL stuff
- 20:29Speaker 4: in his playbook, but just the tips and the reminders
- 20:33Speaker 4: and the little bitty things that I got taught from
- 20:35Speaker 4: LT and Sprolls and Michael Bennett, those guys. How to
- 20:40Speaker 4: how to look at a defense and realize who can blitz,
- 20:42Speaker 4: who can't blitz, like as soon as they line up
- 20:45Speaker 4: run fits, how to read a run block.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Just I mean, everything and everything.
- 20:50Speaker 4: But if I'm picking one thing, it either be how
- 20:54Speaker 4: to how to actually run a route the right way
- 20:57Speaker 4: or how to look at protection and know what's going
- 21:00Speaker 4: to happen before it happens.
- 21:02Speaker 3: You can play so much.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Faster, Yeah, I mean, there's so much that you can
- 21:06Speaker 2: dive into and things that it's even hard to think
- 21:09Speaker 2: of off the top of your head. But like, for one,
- 21:11Speaker 2: dropbacks footwork. Footwork one of the most important things for
- 21:14Speaker 2: a quarterback that you know, you might have a three
- 21:16Speaker 2: step drive and I have a five step drop, might
- 21:18Speaker 2: have a seven step drop, but not all five step
- 21:20Speaker 2: drops are built the same right, you do them differently.
- 21:23Speaker 2: You could paste on like sometimes you pace your drop
- 21:25Speaker 2: differently than like for one pass route than other pass routes.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Not every drop is the same. And pass protection blocking schemes,
- 21:37Speaker 2: it's all math. It's all number. It's all a numbers game.
- 21:40Speaker 2: And that's what I didn't really understand. Like you understand
- 21:43Speaker 2: like what to do in college. You understand that you
- 21:45Speaker 2: have to protect. You gotta block six with six, you
- 21:47Speaker 2: gotta block seven with seven. You understand all that, but
- 21:51Speaker 2: you don't really understand the why. And Jimbo is big
- 21:53Speaker 2: on like the why, but like you don't really I
- 21:56Speaker 2: never learned really the why until later. You never really learned, Like,
- 22:00Speaker 2: but like just because they're showing you one thing from
- 22:02Speaker 2: the right side, if they're showing you something from the
- 22:04Speaker 2: right side, it automatically eliminates a handful of things they
- 22:07Speaker 2: can do on the left side. And like, you learn
- 22:10Speaker 2: a lot. You start to learn some of that in college,
- 22:12Speaker 2: but you really become fluent of that in the NFL
- 22:15Speaker 2: because you got so many you see so many crazy
- 22:17Speaker 2: looks in practice. You're you're practicing against players that are
- 22:23Speaker 2: playing the game to feed their family, right they've been
- 22:25Speaker 2: doing it a long time, that are smarter than the
- 22:28Speaker 2: coaches around them and they're they're the ones with the
- 22:30Speaker 2: pads on, so past protection. And then also from a
- 22:34Speaker 2: quarterbacks standpoint, how to read body language on a defender,
- 22:37Speaker 2: especially like in man coverage and in zone understanding, like
- 22:42Speaker 2: in zone principles, like you know what this defender has
- 22:46Speaker 2: from a responsibility standpoint, but then also how he can
- 22:48Speaker 2: add lib from it, and then how to read those
- 22:51Speaker 2: what those ad lib movements, but like catching a guy
- 22:54Speaker 2: in transition like back shoulders, throwing, throwing in the scene
- 22:58Speaker 2: routes like win to throw routes based on leverage and
- 23:03Speaker 2: based on body language a defender. And it's like that's
- 23:05Speaker 2: why you say, man, the windows in the NFL are
- 23:07Speaker 2: so much tighter than they are in college. That's true.
- 23:09Speaker 2: And like sometimes you'll see an NFL got make a
- 23:12Speaker 2: throw and you're like, why did you throw that? Like
- 23:14Speaker 2: how do it? Was it lucky? Was he guessing because
- 23:17Speaker 2: he wasn't open?
- 23:17Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 23:18Speaker 2: But yeah he is, Like if the defender's heads turned,
- 23:20Speaker 2: you are open. Uh.
- 23:21Speaker 3: There's a great clip.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Philip Rivers was micd up one time they were playing
- 23:25Speaker 4: against the Texans and Clowney was out or he moved
- 23:29Speaker 4: on from a different team or whatever. And Phillips at
- 23:31Speaker 4: the line of scrimmage. He goes, hey, this guy's blitzing.
- 23:33Speaker 4: He's a new clowney. He's a new clowny. He's blitzing.
- 23:35Speaker 4: And the guy's like looking around whatever he blitzed. He goes,
- 23:37Speaker 4: I's told you you were blitzing. You don't line up there.
- 23:40Speaker 4: You don't play Mike, why would you do that? You're
- 23:41Speaker 4: the new clowney And he just that level. Like as
- 23:44Speaker 4: soon as Phillips saw the guy line up, he goes,
- 23:46Speaker 4: he's blitzing. I don't play there.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Like in college, you don't think about stuff like that.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Yep, You're just like, what do I got? It's this funny.
- 23:53Speaker 2: It is fun like when you go to the line
- 23:54Speaker 2: of scrimmage and you gotta defense, and like there's a
- 23:56Speaker 2: safety that's on the line of scrimmage like looking like
- 23:59Speaker 2: he's gonna Lisa, and then the back on the other
- 24:01Speaker 2: side is like six yards off the ball, like looking
- 24:04Speaker 2: around and like you're like, hmm, I think I'm gonna
- 24:07Speaker 2: send him to this guy that is six yards off
- 24:09Speaker 2: the law den look lace coming and we're gonna leave
- 24:11Speaker 2: this guy in the last year, which free even though
- 24:13Speaker 2: he looks very much like he's dangerous.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Because his weights on his heels. You can tell that.
- 24:17Speaker 2: And like you point out and then you see people
- 24:19Speaker 2: like the corners from the far end or something like
- 24:21Speaker 2: back and off you point and the and the linebacker
- 24:23Speaker 2: just slicks at you. It just drops his eyes like
- 24:26Speaker 2: gotta hata.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Gotcha hashig go to be mailbag. I have Wit Weeks
- 24:30Speaker 4: wearing eighteen and trade As wearing seven. Who would OTB
- 24:34Speaker 4: pick for these numbers? What would be a great eighteen?
- 24:38Speaker 4: I think bo Bordeline would be a great eighteen. We've
- 24:40Speaker 4: talked about that in the past. Uh, those are the
- 24:43Speaker 4: first two guys that kind of come to mind for
- 24:46Speaker 4: number seven.
- 24:47Speaker 3: He does would be a great option.
- 24:48Speaker 6: Trae didnt makes sense.
- 24:49Speaker 5: I agree with that. I mean, there's a lot of
- 24:51Speaker 5: new on this team, so I feel like it's hard
- 24:54Speaker 5: to give it out because of that. But I think
- 24:56Speaker 5: that Wit is a great option obviously, and then Wit
- 24:59Speaker 5: himself to a you that bow would be a good option.
- 25:02Speaker 5: But I agree that Trey Does would be a good
- 25:03Speaker 5: seven too, just because like everybody's so new.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Wild card out there for eighteen. If I give you
- 25:10Speaker 4: a third option to Marcus Cooley, Okay, I loved watching
- 25:15Speaker 4: that guy playing.
- 25:16Speaker 6: He was he was really good.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Whenever me and Matt spoke to the team, I highlighted
- 25:20Speaker 4: him because he played harder than guys that have been
- 25:22Speaker 4: here for four years, and he's been here for four months.
- 25:25Speaker 4: It meant something to him. Yeah, that's another one I
- 25:27Speaker 4: thought out.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I think we had a consensus here in the fact
- 25:30Speaker 2: that with for eighteen, I'm gonna say DJ picker for seven,
- 25:32Speaker 2: just so that he did, like, just tick that five off.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Last one, and then we'll come back and we'll try
- 25:40Speaker 4: to maybe get to the other questions inside the chat
- 25:44Speaker 4: hashtag OTB metal bag. Flynn, have you ever tried to
- 25:48Speaker 4: get out of a ticket?
- 25:50Speaker 2: Let's try to get out to a speeding ticket. Sometimes
- 25:53Speaker 2: they don't give him to me, But I never tried to.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Do you mention who you are?
- 26:00Speaker 5: No?
- 26:00Speaker 6: Never have you just know who I am?
- 26:03Speaker 3: You try to like keep a spare fifteen jersey.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Wait, I was just texting Kevin O'Connell.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Look, i'll show you the text right here.
- 26:17Speaker 5: He was just telling me how much he hates JJ McCarthy.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Anyway, we're good here, so you can.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Go about my way round the boat. Sorry, I was
- 26:27Speaker 5: breaking news me and Mike are getting on right now.
- 26:35Speaker 4: I'm actually on my way there, Ray Baker, I'm just
- 26:40Speaker 4: going to completely disagree with what you said there. I
- 26:45Speaker 4: just saw Yeah, I mean, I knowing the defense and
- 26:48Speaker 4: watching tape, I'll just I'll throw a rebuttal out there
- 26:53Speaker 4: for that one. I think that's factual. You're entitled to
- 26:57Speaker 4: the opinion.
- 26:58Speaker 2: He said Cooley wasn't good for.
- 27:01Speaker 6: Uh yeah, considers the worst of dB last year by far,
- 27:05Speaker 6: wors graded.
- 27:05Speaker 3: So maybe like he might have looked at like pro
- 27:08Speaker 3: football focuses. Yeah, that's fine.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Is kind of showing he covered He covered up a lot.
- 27:15Speaker 4: He covered up a lot, and that's having conversations with coaches.
- 27:18Speaker 4: He covered up a lot to try to make up
- 27:21Speaker 4: for some guys that were going rogue a little bit.
- 27:24Speaker 4: All right, last one, then we'll take a break and
- 27:26Speaker 4: we don't have to come back to it. Hashtag OTB mailbag.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Does Flint have an EPL team? If not, want to
- 27:31Speaker 4: jump on the Sunderland bandwagon Sunderland Yeah, yeah, I'm a
- 27:36Speaker 4: Wolverhampton kind of guy. Oh, you know they're in the
- 27:39Speaker 4: second tier, right, They're in the Championship. They're not in
- 27:41Speaker 4: the Premier League. Anymore.
- 27:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I want to FaceTime Aaron Rodgers. You're really going to
- 27:48Speaker 3: write that ticket?
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah, bud oh heard Ahasca.
- 27:55Speaker 4: All right on that way to go do it right now.
- 27:57Speaker 4: We'll take a break more OTB when we've come back

- 28:05Speaker 4: There was a beautiful red rollof dumpster in Matthew's front yard, backyard, sideyard,
- 28:10Speaker 4: whatever you want to call it the other day and
- 28:12Speaker 4: we were using that as we're helping him move some
- 28:14Speaker 4: furniture around because he's renovating, and well, he needed a
- 28:17Speaker 4: roll off dumpster and he has three different sizes to
- 28:19Speaker 4: choose from, and he has a you know one that
- 28:22Speaker 4: for him is going to fit what he needs. For me,
- 28:25Speaker 4: we were just doing like a little spring cleaning, so
- 28:27Speaker 4: we needed a smaller version. If you're doing a massive renovation,
- 28:30Speaker 4: you're going to need the largest version. So you call them,
- 28:33Speaker 4: you tell them what your project is, how much you're
- 28:35Speaker 4: going to be using it. Now if you maybe undersell
- 28:38Speaker 4: it and you fill it up faster than you think,
- 28:40Speaker 4: they'll come empty it and bring it right back to
- 28:41Speaker 4: you as well, So they're all about you. They're all
- 28:44Speaker 4: about making sure that you have the right size rolloff
- 28:46Speaker 4: dumpster on your project.

- 30:46Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, not like when you leave us, where are.
- 30:52Speaker 5: You physically going?
- 30:54Speaker 3: I'm going to work the ponderissam.
- 31:00Speaker 5: H very interesting.
- 31:03Speaker 3: I'm just gonna go hang out.
- 31:05Speaker 6: Coach Number eighty one is.
- 31:07Speaker 4: When asking you to come consult, maybe they think about
- 31:11Speaker 4: bringing in a fullback. He wanted me to watch tape
- 31:14Speaker 4: and see if I like the uh the Jaguars.
- 31:17Speaker 6: Yeah, smart fullback coach.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Everyone's known to utilize a fullback slank kivin. No, he
- 31:26Speaker 2: doesn't with everybody? Are everybody? Everybody?
- 31:35Speaker 5: Who are you fooling?
- 31:40Speaker 4: They really do, and then they do the head nod
- 31:42Speaker 4: only when they're fate clapping, not the mouth.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Of it.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Mouth there almost got them, you see that.
- 31:55Speaker 4: My favorite conversation on the whole training camp tour was
- 31:58Speaker 4: talking snap count with her. Oh gosh, yeah, because I
- 32:02Speaker 4: didn't know that I was going to go there, and
- 32:03Speaker 4: then I started to think about it. I was like,
- 32:05Speaker 4: nobody's ever had a better cadence in the history of
- 32:07Speaker 4: football than Aaron Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 2: The greatest snapcount in the history.
- 32:10Speaker 4: So I was like, I bet he feels the same
- 32:12Speaker 4: way that Flynn and I do about the snap count.
- 32:14Speaker 4: And when I did, he like goes and sits up
- 32:17Speaker 4: in his chair. Like at first he was like lean back,
- 32:19Speaker 4: like had his legs cross a little bit. He like
- 32:21Speaker 4: sits up and like gets ready for the conress. You asked, Yeah,
- 32:24Speaker 4: I got some thoughts.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fun. It's almost like you could use
- 32:29Speaker 3: it as a tool.
- 32:30Speaker 2: It's almost it's almost like you could.
- 32:37Speaker 4: I told Joe, we were on top of a hill
- 32:39Speaker 4: like one hundred yards away from watching their practice, so
- 32:42Speaker 4: we could see every field and you could hear the
- 32:44Speaker 4: echo of Aaron snapcount. It's crazy, like because Will Howard
- 32:48Speaker 4: and Drew Aller and even Mason, Rudolph Mason a little bit,
- 32:52Speaker 4: but the other ones like couldn't hear anything.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Right Green nineteen, That's right, there is a brewery actually
- 33:03Speaker 2: in Green Bay.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Yep.
- 33:05Speaker 2: That was a smaller brewery when I was there. Now
- 33:07Speaker 2: they got like a bigger restaurant brewery, like right next
- 33:10Speaker 2: to Lambo across the street.
- 33:11Speaker 3: They got this big cool everything's kind of next to Lambo.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Now they got a beer called the green nineteen.
- 33:19Speaker 5: Ooh, that's cool.
- 33:20Speaker 4: It's kind of cool, and I like LEGITM like you
- 33:24Speaker 4: were a green eighty blue eighty green eighty.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah, Eighties are tough, Like nineteen is the best to say,
- 33:32Speaker 2: the best number to me to say. And I tested
- 33:34Speaker 2: out a lot. Blue thirty five was my second favorite.
- 33:37Speaker 3: So I liked.
- 33:37Speaker 4: I like that eighty because I feel like you can
- 33:39Speaker 4: really drag out.
- 33:40Speaker 2: The city, but that I don't like doing that. I
- 33:44Speaker 2: like it you can like grunted into it.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Nteen say, but if you drag out that in our
- 33:49Speaker 4: offensive way, I hold your mouth that you dragged out
- 33:52Speaker 4: the eighty and then it was like first sound after that,
- 33:55Speaker 4: so like we knew it was first sound after that.
- 33:56Speaker 3: But the other defense is like, when's this he gonna end?
- 33:59Speaker 6: How how does Aaron snapcow compared to that of say,
- 34:03Speaker 6: a Dak Prescott Mm hmm, well here, yeah, here we go.
- 34:13Speaker 5: I'm just curious.
- 34:14Speaker 4: If you don't know what we're talking about, just go
- 34:16Speaker 4: watch like Dak Prescott, Mike, Yeah, here we go, Here
- 34:20Speaker 4: we go.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Back. It's crazy.
- 34:26Speaker 6: When that got hurt, I was like, hey, bright spot,
- 34:28Speaker 6: you don't get to hear here we go again. A
- 34:30Speaker 6: turn first snap. I heard it.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I was like, I'm out, Yeah, they developed that with
- 34:38Speaker 2: under Mike McCarthy, right, I guess he's been doing it.
- 34:41Speaker 3: He's been doing it a few years, and he probably.
- 34:44Speaker 5: If he could say anything anything in it, what would
- 34:47Speaker 5: you say?
- 34:48Speaker 2: I mean, I've never even the thought of that's ever
- 34:50Speaker 2: even crossed my mind, Like, let me just add that.
- 34:53Speaker 2: And now it had to something had to have happened,
- 34:55Speaker 2: like a training camp or off season where they just
- 34:58Speaker 2: couldn't stay on sides like they can, to have a
- 35:00Speaker 2: false start or something. Yea and or Dak didn't like
- 35:05Speaker 2: the way. I don't know, because you get up to
- 35:08Speaker 2: the line of scrimmage like in Mike McCarthy's offense, and
- 35:10Speaker 2: it's like you go, that's like how you started. That
- 35:13Speaker 2: pretty much tells everybody yeah here tea yeah, and then
- 35:17Speaker 2: so you go into it that way. A lot of
- 35:18Speaker 2: teams are. They don't do that first. That's like the
- 35:20Speaker 2: old like West Coast and quick doubles, what the call it.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Maybe he didn't like that portion of it, like he
- 35:29Speaker 2: just couldn't get to it. I don't know. Something dramatic
- 35:31Speaker 2: had to have happened for that type of stuff.
- 35:34Speaker 4: I think he tried to bring Yeah, here we go
- 35:36Speaker 4: to Pittsburgh and Aaron goes, we're not doing that.
- 35:39Speaker 2: No, I don't think that. I don't think MacCarthy's traveling
- 35:41Speaker 2: with that one.
- 35:41Speaker 6: I think I think that travel.
- 35:43Speaker 2: I don't think he's putting that in his carry.
- 35:45Speaker 6: I don't think.
- 35:45Speaker 2: McCarthy let Dak do it, because like he didn't do
- 35:47Speaker 2: it any He's like, that's what I'm saying. Something dramatic
- 35:51Speaker 2: must have happened, and they're like, hey, y'all work something out.
- 35:54Speaker 2: What It doesn't really matter what the snap count is,
- 35:56Speaker 2: as long as we go on the same and as
- 35:58Speaker 2: long as it's not a clap count anything verbally that
- 36:01Speaker 2: we can use as a weapon. So whatever works for y'all,
- 36:04Speaker 2: y'all go figured out as a team, like as a
- 36:07Speaker 2: player only made it. Whatever you want to do, go
- 36:09Speaker 2: figure out and let me know.
- 36:10Speaker 4: You know what.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Content is My favorite on the internet is when John
- 36:15Speaker 5: Gruden does his quarterback and he has them do actual
- 36:20Speaker 5: quarter like actual counts, like an actual cadence rather than clapping.
- 36:24Speaker 5: He hates the clap count too. He's another one who
- 36:27Speaker 5: could be on your like he hates a clap count.
- 36:30Speaker 2: His face and great him. He's great at what he does.
- 36:33Speaker 5: I mean barstool hit the jackpot with God yeah, his
- 36:37Speaker 5: face just like I always say that I don't consume
- 36:41Speaker 5: barstool content, but that I do, I will consume the
- 36:44Speaker 5: heck got us. John Gruden the clip.
- 36:46Speaker 6: When he was in Tampa. I don't remember the quarterback.
- 36:48Speaker 6: He's a good quarterback. You're supposed to be their starter,
- 36:50Speaker 6: and like he kept making him go through the cadence
- 36:52Speaker 6: over and over, and then guy could not I.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Remember that, Yes, yeah, give it to me again, and
- 37:01Speaker 4: he goes like verbatim, and he goes and one more
- 37:04Speaker 4: time and then he just like.
- 37:06Speaker 6: And then it's yeah, it's a long drawn out cadencey.
- 37:09Speaker 6: He's like, I don't stir White, can't get this. It's
- 37:10Speaker 6: boom boom boom boom there and then.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Like but it is wild though.
- 37:14Speaker 4: I'm kind of with Gruden on that, Like you've repped
- 37:16Speaker 4: that so many times that you should be able to
- 37:19Speaker 4: spit it right back out. Like I could ask you
- 37:22Speaker 4: a Green Bay play, you can probably boom right now.
- 37:24Speaker 4: You could ask me a Charger play a Bronco like
- 37:26Speaker 4: you spin it out. And it's been fifteen years.
- 37:33Speaker 2: We gotta we gotta confirm this. We got some people
- 37:35Speaker 2: some chatter in the chat about a new role. Yeah,
- 37:40Speaker 2: Pete Tamil, it's jet Amil's talking about a new role
- 37:44Speaker 2: that the Big Ten just passed regarding NFL players.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Get to that on the other side, Uh real quick,
- 37:55Speaker 4: read it, tease it, and then you all talk about it.
- 37:58Speaker 4: On the other side, you're leaving to go somewhere a
- 38:01Speaker 4: large Can you read that tweet.
- 38:03Speaker 5: For heath Amil says sources. The Big Ten is set
- 38:05Speaker 5: to pass a rule today that doesn't allow players to
- 38:08Speaker 5: return from the NFL and play for a Big Ten school.
- 38:11Speaker 5: Anyone who has declared for the NFL Draft and did
- 38:13Speaker 5: not withdraw, appeared on an NFL roster or signed a
- 38:16Speaker 5: contract with a pro league cannot be on a Big
- 38:19Speaker 5: ten roster. They're not NFL players.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Boy, sounds like a lawsuit.
- 38:29Speaker 3: We'll see.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Remember the Big twelve was able to strong arm Texas
- 38:33Speaker 4: tech yep.
- 38:36Speaker 3: In the quarterback.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Wow, what a different statement from the SEC to the
- 38:41Speaker 2: Big Ten. That's black and white right there. That is
- 38:44Speaker 2: that's not scurting it.
- 38:45Speaker 3: That is not suggesting, that is telling.
- 38:47Speaker 6: Yeah, good for them.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Big twelve was able to do it with Soresby.
- 38:51Speaker 4: We'll see if this sticks with the Big ten and
- 38:54Speaker 4: we'll talk about it on the other side when we
- 38:55Speaker 4: come back here on OTB off the bench. Look at us,
- 38:59Speaker 4: like four twenty five feels late right now, I feel guilty.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Look at us.

- 40:06Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 40:20Speaker 2: All right, welcome back here off the bench, closing out
- 40:23Speaker 2: our number dose. That's an empty chair and right across
- 40:28Speaker 2: this table from me.
- 40:29Speaker 5: J K.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Hester had to leave. He had some somewhere very important
- 40:34Speaker 2: to be.
- 40:36Speaker 5: I wonder when they're gonna announce who's going to be
- 40:39Speaker 5: the number eighteen and number seven?
- 40:41Speaker 2: They're gonna do say that because they play game. Yeah,
- 40:43Speaker 2: I mean the roster is not finalized yet. They gotta
- 40:46Speaker 2: do that. You gotta finalize that number.
- 40:48Speaker 6: I think that could be today, I doubt, but definitely
- 40:54Speaker 6: before the game has to be mixed sense. What if
- 41:00Speaker 6: it's one of the new guys?
- 41:02Speaker 2: Oh could be what new guys stake one?
- 41:10Speaker 5: Right?
- 41:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, all right, Saban Harris thanks the other one. Well,
- 41:15Speaker 2: when they get to Bataries, they need to know that
- 41:17Speaker 2: if they want the best grocery shop and experience that
- 41:21Speaker 2: they got to go to Rouses rowses mon whoa yeah,
- 41:25Speaker 2: send everybody there. Whether you're getting ready for you know,
- 41:28Speaker 2: just a little meal prep during the week, maybe you're
- 41:30Speaker 2: getting ready for you know, high school football season starting up.
- 41:33Speaker 2: We got tailgating and Tiger Stadium coming up here very shortly.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Make sure you're doing everything over at your local Rouses
- 41:39Speaker 2: Mario good Rouses dot com as well. You can put
- 41:41Speaker 2: your zip code in there. It's gonna pull up all
- 41:43Speaker 2: your local Rouses markets nearest your house, and it's gonna
- 41:46Speaker 2: tell you what kind of deals you can like, where
- 41:48Speaker 2: you can save and check it every week, check it
- 41:50Speaker 2: every month because it's always changing. Maybe you get a
- 41:52Speaker 2: little five percent off here, ten percent, twenty percent off,
- 41:55Speaker 2: whatever it is. There's always deals rolling over at Rols's
- 41:58Speaker 2: Louisiana company taking care of Louisian the folks, and not
- 42:01Speaker 2: just Louisiana. They got Ralse's markets all over the golf South,
- 42:04Speaker 2: So go check them out. Do your grocery shopping with
- 42:07Speaker 2: that Louisiana company doing it right. What a great experience
- 42:09Speaker 2: it is Ralse's market and go to Ralse's dot com today.
- 42:13Speaker 2: All right. We mentioned it before we went to break
- 42:17Speaker 2: Big Ten making a very strong statement drawing their line
- 42:23Speaker 2: in the sand, saying NFL players are not welcome to
- 42:27Speaker 2: join any Big ten teams. And that is if you
- 42:30Speaker 2: declared for the draft and didn't withdraw, I believe is
- 42:34Speaker 2: what I read from that statement correctly. Yeah, which is
- 42:39Speaker 2: quite the black and white difference between the statement the
- 42:44Speaker 2: SEC made yesterday and saying that they don't like it.
- 42:48Speaker 2: They it is, it should not happen, but basically saying
- 42:52Speaker 2: we don't like it, but there's really nothing we can do.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Maybe that's the statement that the Big ten should have made,
- 42:56Speaker 2: because they are making a strong statement and they pass
- 42:59Speaker 2: or passing the rule that says they cannot Big ten
- 43:01Speaker 2: teams cannot do this. Well, I mean, is any rule
- 43:06Speaker 2: safe out there? They can make the rule, but it's
- 43:09Speaker 2: going to take compliance from all the teams to listen
- 43:13Speaker 2: to that rule and not sue to get that rule
- 43:16Speaker 2: change or sue to get an injunction or whatever it is. Like,
- 43:19Speaker 2: I'm not the legal guy. I'm not I'm not the
- 43:21Speaker 2: guy that's going to tell you like when you can
- 43:23Speaker 2: sue and get in a junction or a t R
- 43:25Speaker 2: whatever it is. But it just feels like no rule
- 43:28Speaker 2: is safe out there, whether it's the NCAA rule or
- 43:30Speaker 2: a Big ten rule, whatever it is. Now, if you've
- 43:33Speaker 2: got to think that, if you're part of the Big Ten,
- 43:36Speaker 2: and the Big Ten says this that everybody's going to
- 43:38Speaker 2: it here to it. I would think I would think
- 43:41Speaker 2: if SEC made that rule, potentially now you can't do
- 43:45Speaker 2: it after the fact. You can't undo things. But it
- 43:49Speaker 2: takes compliance from compliance from all the schools and the
- 43:52Speaker 2: teams within that conference as well, because you know, well,
- 43:55Speaker 2: I mean, what do y'all think. I mean, like, the
- 43:57Speaker 2: Big Ten makes a statement, but like, can they actually
- 44:00Speaker 2: stop somebody from doing it?
- 44:01Speaker 6: On the surface, it appears they've covered their basis. There's
- 44:04Speaker 6: things around everything. Obviously everybody's going to sue. But it
- 44:07Speaker 6: says anyone who declared for the draft appeared on an
- 44:10Speaker 6: NFL roster or signed a contract with a pro league.
- 44:14Speaker 6: So I've seen it in the chat all morning. Well,
- 44:16Speaker 6: they're not NFL players because it wasn't the regular season.
- 44:19Speaker 6: This has appeared on an NFL roster or signed a contract.
- 44:22Speaker 6: So the Big Ten disagrees with those folks. Big ten says,
- 44:25Speaker 6: if you declared for the draft and you didn't withdraw
- 44:28Speaker 6: your name before the draft, you are a professional football
- 44:33Speaker 6: Not true, okay, all right?
- 44:37Speaker 4: Uh?
- 44:37Speaker 5: Ross Dellinger just said that the ACC is expected to
- 44:41Speaker 5: also consider a pro player ban soon.
- 44:43Speaker 6: Sources tell DELI, if other leagues do this, the SEC
- 44:48Speaker 6: is gonna have to do it too.
- 44:50Speaker 2: But can they do it if LSG's already done it?
- 44:54Speaker 5: I mean what so then day Juan Wright gets in
- 44:56Speaker 5: XAVI and Harris what they just aren't allowed to play?
- 44:59Speaker 5: I don't know what the big deal about that would
- 45:01Speaker 5: be like, but but.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Are they not allowed to play if there's already a judge.
- 45:05Speaker 5: May junction in a restraining order?
- 45:07Speaker 6: Put it against the Is it against the NCAAA or
- 45:10Speaker 6: the SEC? Because that was the thing with it was
- 45:13Speaker 6: against the NCAAA and the Big Twelve is like, Okay,
- 45:15Speaker 6: well you can't play in our conference. Yeah see you.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Did the Big Twelve say that? Or they just put
- 45:20Speaker 2: pressure on Tech?
- 45:22Speaker 5: They make pressure, They put pressure on Tech kind of
- 45:24Speaker 5: like how big pressure on them.
- 45:26Speaker 2: They didn't force them to do No, they didn't, but
- 45:29Speaker 2: that was probably next step. I'm just my my question
- 45:33Speaker 2: is the enforceability of anything. If you have a school
- 45:36Speaker 2: that just doesn't want to listen to the NCAA or
- 45:39Speaker 2: the conference, what can you do to enforce them? If
- 45:42Speaker 2: Texas Tech was like, no, he's playing, sorry, judge ruled
- 45:45Speaker 2: on it. You can't force us.
- 45:50Speaker 5: That's where, like I guess the playoff committee would have
- 45:52Speaker 5: to make a decision too and be like, Okay, well,
- 45:54Speaker 5: if you win all these games, you can't be in
- 45:56Speaker 5: the playoffs. Or maybe like they docks the points from them,
- 46:00Speaker 5: or that goes into making their decision of whether or not.
- 46:03Speaker 4: They should be here.
- 46:04Speaker 2: And maybe like Auburn, they just declare their own national championship.
- 46:07Speaker 6: True, like fifteen years later for five of them, all
- 46:11Speaker 6: the ones. I mean, but to your point, you said,
- 46:15Speaker 6: like you can't go back and like now you're technically
- 46:17Speaker 6: not on this roster. Yeah, I guess so, so they're committed, right,
- 46:22Speaker 6: are you going back and changing it?
- 46:23Speaker 2: After effect? They can hear you, well, interesting stuff. I mean,
- 46:27Speaker 2: obviously this just came out from Pete the amil. So
- 46:29Speaker 2: we will stay tuned, we'll keep our eyes open, our
- 46:33Speaker 2: ears open, and hear what else comes down, because I'm
- 46:35Speaker 2: sure a lot's gonna come from this. Today's all right,
