- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Eds with Eddie, Judge and Edwin Ato Yave.
- 0:05Speaker 2: We got a special guest today, Sean through he right
- 0:09Speaker 2: right accent. Yeah. Well, Sean has been married to the
- 0:14Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member and Ge
- 0:17Speaker 2: since nineteen ninety nine. Okay, good, So you survived the
- 0:21Speaker 2: two thousand and end of the world we live five years.
- 0:25Speaker 3: That's incredible, Sean, congratulations on twenty five years. That's something.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yeah, we've been through it all.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Has it officially been twenty five years or is
- 0:32Speaker 3: it like December?
- 0:34Speaker 4: No, it was twenty five years in June.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Oh, what did you What did you do for That's
- 0:39Speaker 3: a big date. I mean, what did you do?
- 0:41Speaker 4: You know, it's interesting, you know, with everything that's going on,
- 0:44Speaker 4: all the travel that we've had to incur with the
- 0:48Speaker 4: show along with Electra's equestrian travel, you know, we have
- 0:54Speaker 4: the opportunity to be home during that time and we
- 0:57Speaker 4: just went to dinner, had a nice dinner. We always
- 0:58Speaker 4: bring Electra with the U and uh, you know, that's
- 1:02Speaker 4: that's about it, you know. Now, Uh, nowadays, when you
- 1:05Speaker 4: can be a home and just kind of relax a
- 1:07Speaker 4: little bit and do normal stuff, we kind of really
- 1:10Speaker 4: cherished that.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So, yeah, that's so valuable. So let us give us
- 1:16Speaker 2: some insight on your family. I know you have one daughter,
- 1:18Speaker 2: thirteen year old Electra. You mentioned right, do you have
- 1:21Speaker 2: another kid at home?
- 1:23Speaker 4: No daughter, just Electra. She's our one and only. We
- 1:26Speaker 4: tried for more for for many many years. We you know,
- 1:30Speaker 4: when she was two years old, we started trying for
- 1:33Speaker 4: a second one and we went through about four and
- 1:35Speaker 4: a half to five years of of everything. You know,
- 1:40Speaker 4: it's it's one of the pitfalls to having kids later.
- 1:44Speaker 4: You know, there's there's the pros and cons. You know.
- 1:47Speaker 4: On the on the pro side of it, you know,
- 1:49Speaker 4: we were established and and you know we've been able
- 1:52Speaker 4: to spend every every waking moment with her when needed
- 1:56Speaker 4: and uh, and that's been good. But on the pitfall side,
- 2:00Speaker 4: it's it's just harder to have kids when you're older.
- 2:02Speaker 4: You know. Yeah I was forty, yeah age Andrew was
- 2:09Speaker 4: thirty seven. So yeah, yeah, I'll tell you what. She
- 2:15Speaker 4: takes all we got though, you know, with all this course,
- 2:18Speaker 4: I mean Edwin knows this. It's like when you're in
- 2:21Speaker 4: the horse, you know, uh business and and you know
- 2:25Speaker 4: you're it's just it's an expensive sport. So you know,
- 2:29Speaker 4: she takes sport.
- 2:30Speaker 3: It's all the time. I mean, my daughter goes twice
- 2:35Speaker 3: two weekends out of the month, and it's like Thursday,
- 2:39Speaker 3: ye through Sunday. So it's like you have your own
- 2:41Speaker 3: little life. It's true.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it's true. Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 3: So but you you've done a good job of going
- 2:48Speaker 3: with her all the time, right.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I try to be there every time. You know, something
- 2:52Speaker 4: we have in common. I was raised on a ranch,
- 2:54Speaker 4: and you know I was raised riding horses, so you know,
- 2:58Speaker 4: it's really been fun. You know, we bought her a
- 3:01Speaker 4: horse when she was two years old, a little tiny thing,
- 3:04Speaker 4: you know, and and she really hasn't been off of
- 3:07Speaker 4: a horse since. And you know, I was in four
- 3:11Speaker 4: h you know, we were doing like poles, barrels, barrel racing,
- 3:14Speaker 4: you know, all that stuff. But you know, it wasn't
- 3:17Speaker 4: until about I would say, five years ago that she said, Dad,
- 3:20Speaker 4: I want to get into horse jumping. And obviously this
- 3:24Speaker 4: was a new world for us. There's there's a lot
- 3:26Speaker 4: more technique, technical aspects to it. And we gave it
- 3:30Speaker 4: a shot and she has not turned back and she
- 3:34Speaker 4: she has found her passion. I'm grateful that she's found
- 3:38Speaker 4: her passion in the horse world because obviously I can
- 3:41Speaker 4: now kind of, you know, see that world through her
- 3:44Speaker 4: eyes and we share that passion and and stuff like that.
- 3:48Speaker 4: So it's been a great, great experience.
- 3:50Speaker 1: That's amazing. Let's go back a little bit. Where did
- 3:54Speaker 1: you grow up?
- 3:55Speaker 4: I grew up here in Salt Lake City.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Oh you did like growing up there.
- 4:00Speaker 4: You know, I had a great childhood, you know. I mean,
- 4:03Speaker 4: like I said, I was born on a ranch. You know,
- 4:06Speaker 4: we were around animals all the time. Uh, you know,
- 4:10Speaker 4: my dadad got us into this. Uh you know, I
- 4:13Speaker 4: had cousins doing it, so we we kind of fell
- 4:16Speaker 4: into it. And you know, between the four age and
- 4:21Speaker 4: just writing in the desert things like that, you know,
- 4:25Speaker 4: we I don't know, you know, it's just one of
- 4:28Speaker 4: those things where, you know, he kind of continued to
- 4:32Speaker 4: grow in the horse world. He now runs a horse
- 4:34Speaker 4: racing business and so so we got into that as
- 4:38Speaker 4: well and have been able to experience kind of all
- 4:41Speaker 4: things worses growing up.
- 4:44Speaker 3: So yeah, so you Latino, your last name is Toru Here.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I am yeah. Yeah, I have to Spanish. My dad's Spanish,
- 4:51Speaker 4: and and you know he was he was born and
- 4:54Speaker 4: raised here you know. Unfortunately he never really spoke Spanish
- 4:59Speaker 4: in the home. Uh you, I don't, I know enough
- 5:05Speaker 4: to be dangerous, okay, but married to a Greek that
- 5:08Speaker 4: had kind of like overcome anything else. So I actually
- 5:12Speaker 4: speak more Greek now than Spanish.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So yeah, that's awesome.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah tell us so so, so you grew up in
- 5:20Speaker 3: Salt Lake. Uh yeah, you obviously grew up riding horses
- 5:24Speaker 3: and stuff. And it seems like you've been working out
- 5:27Speaker 3: all your life too, right, I mean I heard I
- 5:29Speaker 3: was reading up on some stuff and it looks like
- 5:31Speaker 3: your wife talked about how when you first met you,
- 5:35Speaker 3: you were you were doing hair cutting hair, but she
- 5:37Speaker 3: saw this guy that was muscular and handsome.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Have you always been about working out or you know?
- 5:44Speaker 4: I got into health and wellness and fitness when I
- 5:48Speaker 4: was about eighteen years old. You know. A cousin got
- 5:52Speaker 4: me into it. He was in the bodybuilding stuff, and
- 5:55Speaker 4: I just kind of kind of followed him into that,
- 5:58Speaker 4: to that aspect of it, and and really it's just
- 6:01Speaker 4: been a part of my life ever since then. I've
- 6:04Speaker 4: never taken time off, you know. You know how guys
- 6:07Speaker 4: will get into it and they'll take a year off
- 6:09Speaker 4: for several months. I've never done that. It's just something that, uh,
- 6:13Speaker 4: that I really took to and and I realize that,
- 6:17Speaker 4: you know, you know, as you as you get into
- 6:20Speaker 4: health and wellness, it's not just the physical aspect, it's
- 6:23Speaker 4: the mental aspect. And as I grow older, I realize
- 6:27Speaker 4: how much that does, you know, affect my mental health
- 6:32Speaker 4: and and really keeps me sharp. And you know, if
- 6:35Speaker 4: I take a day off here or there, you know,
- 6:37Speaker 4: I'm definitely a little more cloudy. So so sorry if
- 6:43Speaker 4: I'm not in the gym, you know, I'll do the
- 6:45Speaker 4: jailhouse workout, I'll do my births in the house. I'll
- 6:48Speaker 4: do my push ups and sit ups and air squats
- 6:51Speaker 4: and stuff like that. It's just something that I that
- 6:53Speaker 4: I have to do.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You know. It's you know, what's interesting about discipline. And
- 6:57Speaker 3: you know, Eddie's got the discipline of his fitness. You
- 7:00Speaker 3: obviously do as well, and it carries on to like
- 7:02Speaker 3: business and all that stuff. But I always tell people that,
- 7:05Speaker 3: you know, discipline is hard at first, but if you
- 7:09Speaker 3: can sustain discipline for a long time, it becomes a
- 7:13Speaker 3: lifestyle and it's no longer hard. Right right now, the
- 7:16Speaker 3: opposite of discipline is pleasure, right, Pleasure very easy, very comfortable.
- 7:22Speaker 3: You're going to want to do it all the time.
- 7:24Speaker 3: But if you sustain pleasure for a long time, you're
- 7:28Speaker 3: not going to be very happy. And that's why I've
- 7:30Speaker 3: always said that the higher the discipline, the happier you'll be, right,
- 7:35Speaker 3: And the lesser the discipline, the less happy you'll be.
- 7:38Speaker 4: One hundred percent totally agree.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Is that up there along the lines of you know,
- 7:44Speaker 2: buying a Ferrari and you know, six months or eight
- 7:47Speaker 2: months later, you get over it, so you want a
- 7:49Speaker 2: new Ferrari, kind of like I did last year with
- 7:52Speaker 2: my Harley. I got it for a year and I
- 7:54Speaker 2: was like ready for a new one.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I think a good example is like ice cream. Like
- 7:58Speaker 3: I love ice cream, right, but you continue to have
- 8:01Speaker 3: ice cream every day, you're not going to be very happy.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Alcohol maybe you you you like you can drink
- 8:08Speaker 3: a couple of days. You keep doing that and you
- 8:09Speaker 3: sustain it for a long time, it's not gonna be
- 8:11Speaker 3: pleasurable anymore, right, you know. It's just if you really
- 8:14Speaker 3: think about it, anything that's pleasure if you sustain it,
- 8:19Speaker 3: like if you go on if you just don't do
- 8:21Speaker 3: nothing for a year. It might be pleasure for the
- 8:25Speaker 3: first three weeks a month. I guarantee you after a month,
- 8:28Speaker 3: if you don't have a new purpose, you're going to
- 8:30Speaker 3: be miserable.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Absolutely totally.
- 8:33Speaker 1: If you don't stay active, you're going to be miserable.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I totally agree. And it is right up there
- 8:37Speaker 4: with you know, the car or you know, I love watches,
- 8:41Speaker 4: you know, and it's like, Okay, I'm gonna get this
- 8:43Speaker 4: one and that's all I need. And I did it,
- 8:46Speaker 4: and then I find another one that I want, you
- 8:48Speaker 4: know what I mean. But but you know ed when
- 8:51Speaker 4: you you did a post on Instagram a while back,
- 8:56Speaker 4: and you know, you talked about, you know, acquiring some
- 9:00Speaker 4: of these physical things that that you know, you reward
- 9:04Speaker 4: yourself with, and and it's almost like, you know, you've
- 9:07Speaker 4: hit a goal, you know, and and it's always there's
- 9:10Speaker 4: always something to work towards within that and and it
- 9:13Speaker 4: becomes less about you know, the physical thing is it
- 9:16Speaker 4: is about the achievement. And and that's that that is
- 9:20Speaker 4: so true. That's exactly where I'm at. And and I
- 9:24Speaker 4: really you know, you've got to have a purpose, you know,
- 9:27Speaker 4: and and sometimes it's it's the car or the watch,
- 9:30Speaker 4: and sometimes it's a new business or whatever it is,
- 9:33Speaker 4: but there's always got to be that creative process happening
- 9:36Speaker 4: and that that goal to strive.
- 9:49Speaker 1: How did you get into doing hair?
- 9:52Speaker 3: Was it for the women?
- 9:55Speaker 4: Well, you know, I I really didn't. It wasn't in
- 10:00Speaker 4: the beginning, but it was. It's an interesting story. So,
- 10:03Speaker 4: you know, I grew up in constructing. My dad had
- 10:05Speaker 4: the ranch. He was in the construction business. You owned
- 10:08Speaker 4: a commercial tile contracting company, so so you know, if
- 10:12Speaker 4: I wasn't out back shoveling horse poop, I was, you know,
- 10:15Speaker 4: working with my dad setting tile stuff like that. So
- 10:19Speaker 4: you know, it was one of those things where I
- 10:21Speaker 4: was like, God, I just don't want to do this
- 10:23Speaker 4: for the rest of my life. I saw what what
- 10:25Speaker 4: you know, he he had kind of gone through physically
- 10:28Speaker 4: and all of that stuff. And I also just saw
- 10:32Speaker 4: the grind, you know, and I don't mind the grind,
- 10:35Speaker 4: but you know, it's just such hard work. And I
- 10:37Speaker 4: have so much respect for those guys, and we need
- 10:39Speaker 4: those guys obviously, But you know, I knew that that
- 10:42Speaker 4: wasn't for me, and you know, I took a short
- 10:45Speaker 4: little stint from the tile business and started working at Kmart,
- 10:49Speaker 4: and I started working as a checker, and I worked
- 10:52Speaker 4: my way out through sporting goods. You know, that was
- 10:54Speaker 4: a fun job. I knew that that was just something
- 10:56Speaker 4: to kind of give me another experience outside of of
- 11:00Speaker 4: what I had with family. And but you know it
- 11:03Speaker 4: wasn't you know, too long after that, I did get
- 11:07Speaker 4: back into the tile business again. And and you know
- 11:11Speaker 4: the thing about that stuff is like, you know, even
- 11:14Speaker 4: though it's not, you're calling the money's good, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 4: especially as a young man, which which kind of traps
- 11:20Speaker 4: you a little bit, I guess. And you know, I
- 11:23Speaker 4: had this crazy thing happen. I was working on a
- 11:25Speaker 4: tile job, and you know, we were floating out a
- 11:29Speaker 4: floor to get a level before we set the tile,
- 11:32Speaker 4: and you know, you reach into the cement mixer to
- 11:35Speaker 4: check the mud, make sure it packs right, whether it
- 11:38Speaker 4: needs more water or whatever. And I had gone to
- 11:41Speaker 4: a party with my girlfriend and she had bought me
- 11:45Speaker 4: this ring and i'd put it on. We had had
- 11:49Speaker 4: a late night, but I had an early morning and
- 11:51Speaker 4: I forgot to take the ring off. So I reached
- 11:54Speaker 4: in to check the mud and it caught my ring
- 11:58Speaker 4: and basic pulled me into the mixer, and it was
- 12:05Speaker 4: like that split second where it's like, Okay, this is
- 12:07Speaker 4: either going to be my entire arm or you know,
- 12:11Speaker 4: and I just I wedged myself against the machine and
- 12:14Speaker 4: my finger came with it, you know, went with the ring.
- 12:18Speaker 4: So you know, the reason I tell that story is
- 12:22Speaker 4: it gave me a break, right, It gave me a break.
- 12:24Speaker 4: It gave me this reassessment like I do not want
- 12:27Speaker 4: to you know, it reaffirmed like this was not the
- 12:30Speaker 4: direction that I wanted to go. And the girl I
- 12:33Speaker 4: was dating at the time was a hairdresser, and she'd
- 12:36Speaker 4: be like, you know, I always loved to paint, I
- 12:39Speaker 4: always loved drawing. I did like fashion and things like that,
- 12:44Speaker 4: so you know, I thought, you know, this is probably
- 12:47Speaker 4: a good opportunity to give it a shot. I really
- 12:49Speaker 4: went into it, not really not really knowing what was
- 12:53Speaker 4: going to happen. And then I saw this remember House
- 12:59Speaker 4: of Style back in the day, Cindy Crawford hosted it.
- 13:02Speaker 4: It was on MTV. It was like this docuseries and
- 13:06Speaker 4: this series they talked about fashion, and you know, I
- 13:10Speaker 4: turned it on and they did this mini documentary on
- 13:14Speaker 4: this hairdresser. His name was John soa Hogg. It was
- 13:17Speaker 4: an editorial stylist in New York and he was working
- 13:21Speaker 4: on Amber Voletta and I thought, God, you know that
- 13:25Speaker 4: problem that could be cool.
- 13:27Speaker 5: You know.
- 13:28Speaker 4: So, so I enrolled in school. The rest was history,
- 13:32Speaker 4: you know. So, so I loved the craft, you know,
- 13:36Speaker 4: to your point, I loved working with women. And you know,
- 13:40Speaker 4: the funny thing is is like, you know, women gossip
- 13:43Speaker 4: with each other and stuff like that, but when there's
- 13:45Speaker 4: a guy involved, there's a lot less of that happening.
- 13:48Speaker 4: So I didn't experience that. But what I did realize
- 13:51Speaker 4: was the guys that I was working with on the
- 13:53Speaker 4: construction site were way worse than the girls. You know
- 13:57Speaker 4: what I mean, They were way worse than the girls.
- 13:59Speaker 4: So you know, I love the craft, I love the culture.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I loved working with women. And you know, I was
- 14:06Speaker 4: a very technical person. I wouldn't like to say type A,
- 14:10Speaker 4: but whatever I do, I like to do well. And
- 14:13Speaker 4: so you know, the rest is history. I started started hairdressing,
- 14:17Speaker 4: and I worked my way from the very bottom all
- 14:20Speaker 4: the way up, and it was it was one of
- 14:22Speaker 4: those deals where you know, I'd get up, I would
- 14:25Speaker 4: open a gym that I worked at at five o'clock
- 14:27Speaker 4: in the morning. I would get off at nine thirty
- 14:31Speaker 4: ten o'clock, go to the salon and be support staff
- 14:35Speaker 4: or an assistant, you know, sweeping hair, washing hair whatever
- 14:39Speaker 4: till seven, eight o'clock at night. And then I would
- 14:42Speaker 4: work at a night club from nine o'clock at night
- 14:44Speaker 4: until two in the morning. And I did that for
- 14:46Speaker 4: two years straight. Ah. Yeah, And discipline, that's the discipline,
- 14:52Speaker 4: you know I was. I was getting by on naps
- 14:55Speaker 4: in the breakroom, you know older.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I was twenty two two, okay.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Twenty one something like that. So, and to be honest
- 15:05Speaker 4: with you, I can't remember a day that I didn't
- 15:09Speaker 4: do work, you know. Being raised on a ranch, you know,
- 15:14Speaker 4: I always liked things, and I always wanted a new
- 15:17Speaker 4: bike or a new part from my bike or whatever.
- 15:20Speaker 4: And if I wasn't making what I needed to make
- 15:22Speaker 4: on the ranch, I'd go pull weeds at my neighbor's house.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I just I don't remember not working, you know. And
- 15:29Speaker 4: I also don't remember not having a goal to acquire
- 15:33Speaker 4: something along the way.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Sounds very similar or very familiar, right Edwin?
- 15:39Speaker 2: Oh?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, you know what's interesting about I was
- 15:43Speaker 3: just talking to my friend about this the other day
- 15:45Speaker 3: about you know, instead of like hitting the clubs like
- 15:48Speaker 3: we used to back in the day when we were single,
- 15:51Speaker 3: Like being a hairdresser great, right, because there's lot of
- 15:55Speaker 3: women there, and then also being in the horse world
- 15:58Speaker 3: because both are very similar, Like most of the men
- 16:00Speaker 3: are gay that are doing it. So if you're like
- 16:03Speaker 3: the one dude there, that's you don't even have to
- 16:05Speaker 3: be decent looking, right, like you go to town on everyone
- 16:10Speaker 3: because there's no other dudes.
- 16:12Speaker 4: It's the law of exposure.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Right, yeah, yea. Well, it's great about the horse world
- 16:17Speaker 3: is they're all rich. I'm like that. I would have
- 16:19Speaker 3: known that when I was twenty got me a sugar
- 16:22Speaker 3: mama back then. You know.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Well, I got to tell you when in my mid twenties,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I had some really good friends that we used to
- 16:31Speaker 2: party together, and both of them were hairstylists. One of
- 16:37Speaker 2: them owned the salon and the other one was I
- 16:39Speaker 2: think he was a silent partner or something. But they
- 16:42Speaker 2: were wildly successful, driving expensive cars, making a bunch of
- 16:45Speaker 2: money and surrounded by all these hot women, you know,
- 16:50Speaker 2: and it was quite an environment. I did admire them,
- 16:52Speaker 2: but I never saw myself, you know, doing something like
- 16:56Speaker 2: cutting hair, Like I just didn't see myself having the
- 17:00Speaker 2: ability to do something like that.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Sure, well, you know, I'll tell you it's a great profession,
- 17:05Speaker 4: you know. I mean, it's it's just one of those
- 17:08Speaker 4: things where, you know, the day that I started doing that,
- 17:12Speaker 4: I never worked a day in my life. You know.
- 17:15Speaker 4: I woke up every day just I could not wait
- 17:18Speaker 4: to get out of bed, get to work and just
- 17:20Speaker 4: do what I love doing. And you know, I'm so
- 17:23Speaker 4: fortunate to have been able to choose something that resonated
- 17:26Speaker 4: with me like that, because you know, I've had a
- 17:29Speaker 4: full life in my work environment, and god, I can't
- 17:34Speaker 4: imagine it being any better, you know.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Yeah, by the way, tell us how you started. I mean,
- 17:37Speaker 3: obviously you started cutting hair, but now you've made this
- 17:40Speaker 3: big old business out of it.
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you know that.
- 17:43Speaker 3: How did that happen?
- 17:44Speaker 4: You know? It's just like ignorance is bliss, you know
- 17:47Speaker 4: what I mean. It's like I think in you know,
- 17:51Speaker 4: ninety seven ninety eight, Angie's you know, Angie's a hairdresser
- 17:54Speaker 4: as well, and she's like, you know, we should do
- 17:57Speaker 4: our own thing, or you know, we should start to
- 18:00Speaker 4: think about this, And I was I was really happy
- 18:02Speaker 4: where I was at because I was making great money.
- 18:05Speaker 4: I could show up and leave, you know. I mean,
- 18:07Speaker 4: I really wasn't thinking like that, but I just thought, God,
- 18:10Speaker 4: I'm really doing great. And then you know, ninety nine
- 18:14Speaker 4: rolls around and I'm like, okay, let's do this. And
- 18:16Speaker 4: one of the reasons is because you know, there are
- 18:19Speaker 4: a lot of companies that offer you education, you know,
- 18:23Speaker 4: just support like that, and really what they said that
- 18:26Speaker 4: they offered really wasn't It didn't end up being what
- 18:30Speaker 4: they said it was. You know, it was maybe a product,
- 18:33Speaker 4: knowledge class or something. You know, we were really really
- 18:37Speaker 4: passionate about the craft itself, and so we crave that.
- 18:41Speaker 4: And you know, any bit of money that her and
- 18:44Speaker 4: I made, we'd go. We'd fly to LA we'd fly
- 18:47Speaker 4: to New York, we'd fly to Dallas and do these
- 18:50Speaker 4: courses and classes and things like that. And it's like,
- 18:53Speaker 4: you know, we really need to do something that really
- 18:55Speaker 4: encompasses you know, and you know, we didn't know it
- 18:58Speaker 4: so much then, but we know it now. That was
- 19:00Speaker 4: a core of value of education m and so it's like, okay,
- 19:05Speaker 4: we're going to start this with this premise, you know
- 19:08Speaker 4: what I mean, And and you know, it's just we started,
- 19:12Speaker 4: and you know, we started in seven hundred square feet.
- 19:15Speaker 4: There were wow, wow, there were five stations. And you know,
- 19:19Speaker 4: we we both left the spaces that we were working in.
- 19:24Speaker 4: We did it very respectfully. You know, we gave them
- 19:26Speaker 4: heads up and we're like, we're not going to recruit.
- 19:29Speaker 4: That's not what we're trying to do here. So her
- 19:32Speaker 4: and I started. We knew that that we could keep
- 19:35Speaker 4: this thing run and pay the rent, you know, with
- 19:37Speaker 4: our income, and you know, we it was crazy, like
- 19:44Speaker 4: a month later we were full and and and then
- 19:50Speaker 4: we had a weight list. I never in a million
- 19:52Speaker 4: years thought I would have a weight list to work
- 19:54Speaker 4: with us.
- 19:56Speaker 3: It was a better haircutter, your wife. You know, I
- 20:00Speaker 3: got to tell you who was the weight list for
- 20:03Speaker 3: you or for your wife?
- 20:05Speaker 4: Well, you know, the weight list was for people that
- 20:08Speaker 4: wanted to work with us.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:09Speaker 4: So we had this weight list and it kept growing
- 20:12Speaker 4: and growing and growing, and then a year later, you know,
- 20:15Speaker 4: we worked to deal out with the landlord to take
- 20:17Speaker 4: the other half of this space out. So we went
- 20:19Speaker 4: from seven hundred to fourteen hundred. Wow, and we're like, okay,
- 20:22Speaker 4: this is this is awesome. We grew and were full immediately,
- 20:26Speaker 4: and then a year later we had that same weight list.
- 20:30Speaker 4: So it's like, holy shit, what what do we do?
- 20:33Speaker 4: Do We go to you know, location number two. So
- 20:36Speaker 4: the answer to your question is, like, you know, we
- 20:38Speaker 4: started growing very organically based on demand, and and we
- 20:44Speaker 4: we continued that along the way.
- 20:47Speaker 3: And I assume because you did it that way, you
- 20:49Speaker 3: invested your own money. You didn't have to go to
- 20:51Speaker 3: raise money or any of that. I assume, right, we did.
- 20:54Speaker 4: And you know, I like that you brought that up
- 20:57Speaker 4: because you know, Ange and I, you know, we didn't
- 20:59Speaker 4: have college backgrounds or anything like that. But what we
- 21:02Speaker 4: did have was common sense. And you know, we my
- 21:07Speaker 4: brother did lend me twenty thousand dollars to open Location
- 21:12Speaker 4: number one. You know, I told them, you know, I'll
- 21:15Speaker 4: pay it back within a year, and I got him
- 21:18Speaker 4: paid back within five months. And after that, we didn't
- 21:22Speaker 4: we didn't leverage ourselves to grow. You know, we always
- 21:26Speaker 4: just kind of paid cash for things, and and so
- 21:29Speaker 4: you know, we we had common sense.
- 21:31Speaker 2: I was going to ask you what gave you the
- 21:34Speaker 2: confidence to go into business for yourself?
- 21:36Speaker 4: Like, I mean, well, again, you know, all I can
- 21:40Speaker 4: say at that time, you know, was ignorance was bliss.
- 21:43Speaker 4: You know, it was just like, if we're going to
- 21:45Speaker 4: do this, we we knew in the initial location that
- 21:48Speaker 4: we could fund and finance the operations. Oh you know,
- 21:52Speaker 4: we start to grow and we had to split up
- 21:55Speaker 4: the leadership. I had to go to the new locations.
- 21:57Speaker 4: She stuck to the to the flagship location. That that
- 22:01Speaker 4: is where things got a little bit tricky because all
- 22:03Speaker 4: of a sudden, you have about forty employees that you're
- 22:05Speaker 4: now responsible for. And that's when I started hiring executive coaches,
- 22:11Speaker 4: business coaches, stuff like that.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Oh wow, okay, so it's about.
- 22:16Speaker 4: About yeah, I think it was year three I started. Maybe, no,
- 22:20Speaker 4: it was earlier that. I think it was like year two.
- 22:22Speaker 4: I started hiring coaches once we started to see the
- 22:26Speaker 4: responsibility that we were taking on because you know, obviously
- 22:31Speaker 4: like from a from a confident from a confidence standpoint
- 22:36Speaker 4: in terms of taking care of people, like you're like,
- 22:39Speaker 4: you know, really it gives you pause to think, like, Okay,
- 22:43Speaker 4: I really got to get solid in my business.
- 22:47Speaker 2: And I understand you had a I might have missed
- 22:50Speaker 2: it in the beginning, but you had the educational component
- 22:52Speaker 2: like a like a training class. We get John John
- 22:57Speaker 2: Paul Mitchell training class.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Right, well, we have a school with John Paul. Oh, okay,
- 23:03Speaker 4: with with Paul Mitchell. We have a cosmetology school as well.
- 23:06Speaker 4: And you know that those were some of the advanced
- 23:09Speaker 4: courses that Ange and I were partaking in as we
- 23:13Speaker 4: were growing in the career. And they would see us everywhere,
- 23:17Speaker 4: you know, every every time they had a class, we
- 23:19Speaker 4: would show up, and you know, we got to know
- 23:22Speaker 4: John Paul. We got to know when who's you know,
- 23:25Speaker 4: they they partnered in the school business, and when it
- 23:29Speaker 4: was time to open one in Salt Lake City, they
- 23:31Speaker 4: came to us and said, look, let's do a school together.
- 23:35Speaker 2: That's awesome. I got to meet John Paul last Sunday.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I was at the any Chari drag Races. Yeah. Yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 2: what a what a weird world we live in where
- 23:44Speaker 2: full circle I meet this guy. My wife was super excited.
- 23:48Speaker 2: You know, this is the guy that was on TV
- 23:49Speaker 2: when I was younger, and now he owns a drag
- 23:52Speaker 2: racing team and any tequila company, right right, Yeah, you.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Know what you're doing well when you when you own
- 23:58Speaker 3: a drag racing team.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely absolutely. The only thing more expensive than horses, right, yea.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Racing. Yah, that's awesome.
- 24:19Speaker 3: You dated how long before you got married?
- 24:21Speaker 4: And and I dated for about four years before we
- 24:25Speaker 4: got married. You know, I met her It was a funny,
- 24:27Speaker 4: funny story. The first salon that I started to work in.
- 24:30Speaker 4: She was a client of the guy that worked next
- 24:32Speaker 4: to me, and we just became friends. I always thought, God,
- 24:35Speaker 4: she's so hot, you know what I mean. And I
- 24:37Speaker 4: had somebody at the time, She had somebody at the time,
- 24:40Speaker 4: And then she started talking to us about, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 4: I'm really interested in doing this. What are your thoughts,
- 24:46Speaker 4: you know, would you recommend all of that stuff? And
- 24:48Speaker 4: of course we said, we love what we do. You know,
- 24:51Speaker 4: if you're passionate about something like this, you should get
- 24:53Speaker 4: into it. So she went to school and when she graduated,
- 24:56Speaker 4: she started working at the salon that I was at.
- 25:00Speaker 4: And it wasn't until then that we started to date, so,
- 25:04Speaker 4: you know, and it happened just because like there was
- 25:07Speaker 4: a Valentine's Day and you know, we worked really late.
- 25:11Speaker 4: We were support staff at the time, and we ended
- 25:17Speaker 4: up being the last two out of the salon and
- 25:19Speaker 4: and we're like, hey, I'm like, hey, do you want
- 25:21Speaker 4: to grab a bite to eat. So we did and
- 25:23Speaker 4: the rest is history.
- 25:25Speaker 1: That's amazing.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Yeah, so organic, right, I mean, you have something so
- 25:31Speaker 5: in common, you're both very passionate about it, and then
- 25:34Speaker 5: it just grows into this awesome empire you have now, right,
- 25:38Speaker 5: it's incredible.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been fun. It's been fun.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Howevery do you have? Now? How many is it franchises? Now?
- 25:45Speaker 3: How many are these offices or salons do you have?
- 25:49Speaker 4: Now? So there's nine locations. We have franchised a couple
- 25:55Speaker 4: of them. And the reason we did that is because
- 25:58Speaker 4: you know, you meet people in the industrree and they're like, hey,
- 26:01Speaker 4: I love what you have going. You know, could we
- 26:04Speaker 4: partner and and that sort of thing, and we have
- 26:07Speaker 4: That happened time and time again, and you know, we
- 26:10Speaker 4: ended up building the franchise company just to simply grow
- 26:15Speaker 4: control the brand, have have controls over it. We didn't
- 26:20Speaker 4: set out to, you know, open one hundred locations. You know,
- 26:25Speaker 4: if that happens organically, you know, through the process, then great,
- 26:29Speaker 4: But we just wanted to maintain control of the brand.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Smart. Yeah. Can we go back a little bit and
- 26:36Speaker 1: talk a little bit more about your relationship with Angie,
- 26:39Speaker 1: Like tell us, What why you've been together so long?
- 26:43Speaker 1: What's working well? You know, it's interesting. You know you
- 26:49Speaker 1: talked about the passion in terms of what we did
- 26:53Speaker 1: for a living. You know, I think, you know, the
- 26:58Speaker 1: great thing about our relationship was, you know, it was
- 27:05Speaker 1: the passion.
- 27:06Speaker 4: In what we do. But along with that, you know,
- 27:08Speaker 4: you just you cultivate this this synergy of of I
- 27:14Speaker 4: think personal core values, things that you believe in health
- 27:19Speaker 4: and wellness was a part of that. You know, she
- 27:23Speaker 4: is so funny and so witty. I mean, nobody makes
- 27:26Speaker 4: me laugh like she does, you know, and I think,
- 27:30Speaker 4: you know, I'm a little bit more like your dad.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I'm a little more subdued, and I don't really open
- 27:36Speaker 4: up until I really know somebody. Yeah, she's she's everybody.
- 27:40Speaker 4: I mean, dude, we could go to an insurance seminar
- 27:43Speaker 4: and she could go to the bathroom and walk out
- 27:46Speaker 4: with five best friends, you know, and that's just Angie
- 27:49Speaker 4: and I really that was really attractive, and it's attractive
- 27:53Speaker 4: to this day how she can make people feel. You know,
- 27:57Speaker 4: everything that we've done, we've we've done together there and
- 28:00Speaker 4: there's just a crazy bond there that that I can't
- 28:05Speaker 4: really explain. You know, she's you know, in business. You know,
- 28:10Speaker 4: if if she's fallen off the ledge, I talk her
- 28:13Speaker 4: back on. And then if I'm falling off the ledge,
- 28:16Speaker 4: She's there to bring me back. And you know, she
- 28:20Speaker 4: she just has this intense belief in herself and who
- 28:24Speaker 4: she is as a person. As where I'm you know,
- 28:27Speaker 4: I I you know, you could call this some childhood ship,
- 28:31Speaker 4: but you know I was a little less sure of
- 28:34Speaker 4: myself and a little more shy and way more subdued.
- 28:38Speaker 4: So you know, I was attracted to that person that
- 28:41Speaker 4: really that really owned that, you know. And and and
- 28:45Speaker 4: I think she, on the flip side, was attracted to
- 28:48Speaker 4: the drive, the hard work, the nose to the grind stone.
- 28:54Speaker 4: You know. I think women are you know, there's you know,
- 29:00Speaker 4: like top five trades, and one of them is is like,
- 29:04Speaker 4: you know, this person signaling to them that they have
- 29:07Speaker 4: an ability to provide. And I think that was one
- 29:11Speaker 4: of the things. But you know, I my list for
- 29:13Speaker 4: Angie could go on and on and on.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Do you guys spend a lot of time It's a
- 29:18Speaker 2: probably dumb question, but do you guys spend a lot
- 29:19Speaker 2: of time together?
- 29:21Speaker 4: We do spend a lot of time together. It's usually
- 29:23Speaker 4: as a family unit. We could get better at, you know,
- 29:27Speaker 4: probably spending time just the two of us, more alone time,
- 29:31Speaker 4: but you know, it's just like electric is just she
- 29:34Speaker 4: loves being with us, and I know that's not going
- 29:36Speaker 4: to last very long now, you know what I mean.
- 29:38Speaker 4: She's thirteen years old, and it's like, you know, as
- 29:42Speaker 4: long as she wants to be with us, we're gonna
- 29:43Speaker 4: bring her with us. You know. So we do spend
- 29:46Speaker 4: a lot of time together as a family, and you know,
- 29:49Speaker 4: we do have our meals together, you know, very That's
- 29:54Speaker 4: something that I grew up with, that's something that she
- 29:56Speaker 4: grew up with, and it's something that we've carried on
- 30:00Speaker 4: and we believe is very important for the family.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Do you have a big family between the two of you, guys.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Well, Angie has a really big family. Uh yeah, she's great.
- 30:12Speaker 4: She's got she's got six siblings, you know, and then
- 30:14Speaker 4: her extended family. Her dad has six siblings and you know,
- 30:18Speaker 4: between the cousins, you know, all of that stuff. It's
- 30:21Speaker 4: it's huge. I come from a much smaller family. I
- 30:24Speaker 4: have two brothers and we're very very close, you know,
- 30:29Speaker 4: very close, and.
- 30:30Speaker 1: A younger two younger brothers.
- 30:33Speaker 4: I got one that it's two years younger than me
- 30:36Speaker 4: and the other is seven years younger than me. Okay,
- 30:40Speaker 4: so yeah, I was the oldest, but a great relationship
- 30:44Speaker 4: with those guys, and you know, I stay in touch
- 30:46Speaker 4: with them daily.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Well that leads us to the topic that you know,
- 30:53Speaker 2: brought us all together here, and that's the Housewife's show.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Tell us a.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Little bit about your experience leading up to it. Where
- 31:00Speaker 2: you familiar with the housewife franchise and the TV. Did
- 31:03Speaker 2: you watch it before you signed up? And when when
- 31:06Speaker 2: you got asked to go on the show, what were
- 31:09Speaker 2: your thoughts?
- 31:11Speaker 4: Well, you know, the funny thing is is in two
- 31:14Speaker 4: thousand and eight, two thousand and nine, I just got
- 31:17Speaker 4: to finished remodeling a house that Angeine I moved into,
- 31:22Speaker 4: and you know, I just I sat down that you know,
- 31:25Speaker 4: everything was done. Finally we put the last piece of
- 31:27Speaker 4: furniture and I clicked on the TV and here comes
- 31:30Speaker 4: this thing called Real house Wives of Orange County, and
- 31:34Speaker 4: so I got into I'm like, what is this? You
- 31:39Speaker 4: know what I mean? I mean, there was the old
- 31:40Speaker 4: MTV reality experience you know that I grew up with,
- 31:44Speaker 4: but this was something different and I was like this
- 31:47Speaker 4: is interesting, and it just kind of kept my attention.
- 31:50Speaker 4: And then I started thinking to myself, God, I'm glad
- 31:53Speaker 4: that those guys can do that, but I could never
- 31:56Speaker 4: picture myself doing that, you know. So it's a very
- 32:01Speaker 4: it's very ironic, you know. I I I watched it
- 32:04Speaker 4: for the first couple of seasons, and then you get
- 32:07Speaker 4: busy in business and doing whatever, and then you kind
- 32:09Speaker 4: of lose track of it, and then you kind of
- 32:11Speaker 4: come back, you know, here and there. But yeah, I
- 32:15Speaker 4: did watch a bit of it, you know. And she
- 32:18Speaker 4: never did, you know, And she's never been she's never
- 32:21Speaker 4: been a TV watcher, you know, and for that matter,
- 32:24Speaker 4: neither was I. That was that was one of the
- 32:26Speaker 4: one things that I could go down stairs in the
- 32:29Speaker 4: theater room and sit and just like you know, kind
- 32:32Speaker 4: of just like let the world go away for for
- 32:35Speaker 4: an hour.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Or watch the show of the train.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Exactly. But uh, you know, Angie was never I mean,
- 32:44Speaker 4: she knew of it, you know, like, honey, you got
- 32:47Speaker 4: to check this out, you know, And and uh, you know,
- 32:50Speaker 4: she was never she's never been a TV watcher. She's
- 32:53Speaker 4: she likes to be on the phone with her family
- 32:55Speaker 4: or sisters, you know. Or brothers and friends and stuff
- 32:59Speaker 4: like that. So she's own person than a TV person.
- 33:02Speaker 1: So how did you guys get asked to be on
- 33:05Speaker 1: the show or how did that happen?
- 33:06Speaker 4: Yeah, so season one when they started casting for season one,
- 33:10Speaker 4: I mean we were referred by Heather Gay who was
- 33:16Speaker 4: on the show. And when they called us, they didn't
- 33:19Speaker 4: tell us what it was for. They presented it more
- 33:22Speaker 4: like a successful women women in business stuff like that,
- 33:26Speaker 4: and so you know, we did an interview and we
- 33:28Speaker 4: were like on our best behavior talking about our culture
- 33:32Speaker 4: and leadership and stuff like that. So you know, I
- 33:34Speaker 4: think we missed the mark, you know, in terms of
- 33:39Speaker 4: what we were interviewing for. And it wasn't until season
- 33:42Speaker 4: two they wanted to interview us again and we realized that, okay,
- 33:45Speaker 4: this is what this was. So Angie went ahead and
- 33:48Speaker 4: interviewed season two, and I think it was it was
- 33:54Speaker 4: season two that she made a few appearances. You know
- 33:57Speaker 4: that some of the friends, like Lisa and Heather, I
- 34:00Speaker 4: don't know, there were there were some things that they
- 34:02Speaker 4: had invited her to or and and us too.
- 34:05Speaker 1: And then season came on as a friend as a fact.
- 34:08Speaker 4: You know, it wasn't official friend but you know, we
- 34:11Speaker 4: were invited to these events right that they were for
- 34:14Speaker 4: the show during filming, and then season three, she was
- 34:17Speaker 4: invited to do a friend of.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So tell us about your conversation before you started filming,
- 34:24Speaker 1: like did you guys contemplated and did you guys agree
- 34:28Speaker 1: or or is it just like this is cool, let's
- 34:30Speaker 1: do it.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Well, you know, I told Angie, you know, it's just like, hey, look,
- 34:34Speaker 4: this is up to you. I'm going to support whatever
- 34:36Speaker 4: you want to do. And we did have that conversation
- 34:40Speaker 4: in terms of like, Okay, we've got a solid marriage,
- 34:43Speaker 4: we've got great businesses, we've got a great family, you know,
- 34:47Speaker 4: and and I do remember having this conversation. It's like, yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 4: but you know that doesn't mean people can't lie, you know.
- 34:54Speaker 4: And so but but I said, look, I'm too old
- 34:57Speaker 4: to care about what people think, you know. I mean,
- 35:00Speaker 4: I'm just going to be authentically myself. And I know
- 35:04Speaker 4: that's Angie. She she doesn't put on a show for anybody.
- 35:07Speaker 4: She just she just does her So, you know, with
- 35:10Speaker 4: that agreement of authenticity, and it's like, if we're going
- 35:13Speaker 4: to go into this, we've got to know, you know,
- 35:15Speaker 4: you know what you're getting into right, So so you
- 35:19Speaker 4: know we were I was on board. You know, she
- 35:23Speaker 4: wanted to do it, so let's do it.
- 35:25Speaker 3: And how did you deal so that first year you
- 35:28Speaker 3: I was reading up that you had to deal with obviously,
- 35:31Speaker 3: you know, people are always going to talk crap, right, yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 3: And it's funny. I don't know why good looking people
- 35:36Speaker 3: are always called gay, right, you were they were telling
- 35:40Speaker 3: you that. I guess there was that rumor that you
- 35:44Speaker 3: were gay in Fidality during that first season, which I've
- 35:47Speaker 3: heard the same thing about Eddie. Obviously, it's in common
- 35:51Speaker 3: good looking people, right, people.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Are people like hey, I appreciate that.
- 35:56Speaker 3: People like to hate on that stuff. But how did
- 35:59Speaker 3: you deal with it?
- 36:01Speaker 4: You know I was I was not, you know, offended
- 36:05Speaker 4: like like Eddie. I'm not sure how how you handled it,
- 36:10Speaker 4: but I know for me, I didn't take it as
- 36:13Speaker 4: what I took offense to was the cheating aspect of it,
- 36:17Speaker 4: you know, you know, knowing that I've got a twelve
- 36:23Speaker 4: year old daughter at the time, you know, all these
- 36:26Speaker 4: things start going through your head. So I cared less about,
- 36:29Speaker 4: you know, the gay rumor, because you know, being a hairdresser,
- 36:33Speaker 4: you know we would have clients or whatever, ask oh,
- 36:36Speaker 4: who's that guy? Is he gay? And it's like, no,
- 36:39Speaker 4: he's married to Angie. She's you know, his his wife
- 36:43Speaker 4: and or girlfriend and she's working over there. And then
- 36:47Speaker 4: that was it, you know. So so you know, I
- 36:51Speaker 4: really didn't take offense to the gay thing. Our best
- 36:53Speaker 4: friends in the world are gay, you know, and and
- 36:56Speaker 4: I just see them as as as I see anybody else,
- 36:59Speaker 4: you know, And so that part didn't bother me, you know.
- 37:03Speaker 4: But when this thing came up, you know, and to
- 37:06Speaker 4: my point, people can always lie. I don't think, you know,
- 37:10Speaker 4: this was anything that any of these these people had heard.
- 37:14Speaker 4: This was something that was just thrown out there, made
- 37:19Speaker 4: up for a storyline. You know. It's like, show me
- 37:24Speaker 4: who it is, you know what I mean, And it's like,
- 37:26Speaker 4: who is it? You know, I'll pay him ten thousand
- 37:28Speaker 4: dollars if they can prove that I had cheated on
- 37:32Speaker 4: my wife with you yeah, you know, and so you know,
- 37:36Speaker 4: it was just something that was just thrown out there
- 37:38Speaker 4: was I mean, it was low hanging fruit to get
- 37:40Speaker 4: it Angie and start this controversy and that sort of thing.
- 37:43Speaker 2: So my experience was very similar in that, you know,
- 37:48Speaker 2: I was in the fitness world all my life, teaching
- 37:51Speaker 2: classes when I always say this, one foot in, one
- 37:54Speaker 2: foot out, you know, building companies and then teaching classes,
- 37:57Speaker 2: spin classes more specifically. So here's a guy on the
- 38:02Speaker 2: stage on a bicycle with tights and you know, his
- 38:04Speaker 2: package hanging out and you know, the tank top and
- 38:07Speaker 2: all these women are gawking and all these men are gkying.
- 38:11Speaker 1: So many times are like, that guy's gay. I know
- 38:14Speaker 1: he's gay.
- 38:14Speaker 2: And of course I take care of myself. I you know,
- 38:17Speaker 2: brush my teeth. I watched my ears, and you know,
- 38:20Speaker 2: I just at the time it was the term was metrosexual, right, I.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Think it's a compliment.
- 38:27Speaker 1: I think so too. I definitely took it as a compliment.
- 38:31Speaker 2: And again I had a lot of gay friends.
- 38:34Speaker 1: In fact, I have had one really good friend. His
- 38:36Speaker 1: name was Eddie.
- 38:37Speaker 2: He was a hairdresser and a spin instructor, and he
- 38:40Speaker 2: would always have the girls after him. I'm like, dude,
- 38:43Speaker 2: too bad your gay man, because you would have.
- 38:45Speaker 3: So much ask.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Right, But it never bothered me.
- 38:52Speaker 2: And the funny thing is when one of the women
- 38:55Speaker 2: who try to be you know, maintain her relevancy on
- 38:59Speaker 2: the show this to go after Tamra and she couldn't
- 39:02Speaker 2: you know, offend Tamra or or or come after her
- 39:06Speaker 2: because Tamra is just real.
- 39:08Speaker 1: She decided to lie and create this fake story.
- 39:12Speaker 2: And at the end of the day, I learned, you know,
- 39:15Speaker 2: that's part of this, that's part of being on a
- 39:17Speaker 2: reality TV show, and it's open season for for anything
- 39:22Speaker 2: that you know can be said about you.
- 39:24Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it's interesting. You know when when Angie
- 39:29Speaker 4: you know, mentioned this to me, you know, I just
- 39:33Speaker 4: I immediately started thinking about my daughter. You know, it's like,
- 39:37Speaker 4: you know, she's she's twelve years old. She's going to
- 39:40Speaker 4: be hearing this shit at school now, you know. And
- 39:44Speaker 4: here's the look there's heis and lows to this world.
- 39:50Speaker 4: You know. I think the low part for me is
- 39:53Speaker 4: once somebody says something like that, like it's there, like
- 39:57Speaker 4: it's you know what I mean is they don't put
- 40:00Speaker 4: it out there and it just doesn't seem to go away,
- 40:03Speaker 4: you know. And so but the cool part is, like,
- 40:06Speaker 4: you know, my daughter is so grounded, she is hey,
- 40:09Speaker 4: you know, and I really took the opportunity to say, hey,
- 40:11Speaker 4: look this is this is what so and so said
- 40:14Speaker 4: about me. She just started laughing, you know, what I mean,
- 40:17Speaker 4: it's like, you know, I'm not a guy that rolls
- 40:20Speaker 4: with anybody. I don't go hang out with the boys,
- 40:23Speaker 4: you know on Friday nights. I mean, I'm with those
- 40:26Speaker 4: guys twenty four to seven. So you know that. And
- 40:31Speaker 4: I love that because there was she thought about it.
- 40:35Speaker 4: It's like, Dad, that is funny. Don't worry about it.
- 40:39Speaker 4: You know, it's like, Okay, got that off my chest.
- 40:43Speaker 4: That is out in the open with my daughter, and
- 40:46Speaker 4: we can move forward. And we're still able to move
- 40:49Speaker 4: forward even though it continues to be mentioned and things
- 40:53Speaker 4: like that.
- 40:54Speaker 3: When they get to that age, right, like their friends
- 40:57Speaker 3: start talking to them about it because it's headline right
- 41:00Speaker 3: right right, they're twelve, thirteen, sixteen years old, all of
- 41:03Speaker 3: a sudden, it's hey, is this really happening? You know,
- 41:07Speaker 3: her friends start, you know, it's a it's a tough situation.
- 41:12Speaker 3: And I think that's the tough part about being in
- 41:14Speaker 3: that public eye is when shit hits the fan, your
- 41:18Speaker 3: kids are in the middle of it, especially nowadays with
- 41:21Speaker 3: social media, especially if they're in that age. Yeah, you know,
- 41:24Speaker 3: twelve to sixteen years old.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's hard to.
- 41:30Speaker 3: You know, try to protect them. From that because they
- 41:34Speaker 3: do they go on on the internet and it's just hard.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Well, they become collateral damage, right yeah. Right. The good
- 41:41Speaker 4: part is is, you know, Electra goes to a great school.
- 41:45Speaker 4: It's a private school, very diverse, and you know, I
- 41:52Speaker 4: for the first couple of weeks, does anyone say anything
- 41:55Speaker 4: to you? They're like, no, Dad, they don't. They don't
- 41:57Speaker 4: say a word, you know, So I was like, okay, good.
- 42:00Speaker 1: You know, has she filmed?
- 42:02Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, okay, yeah.
- 42:04Speaker 1: How does she feel about it?
- 42:06Speaker 4: You know, when it started out, she didn't really want
- 42:09Speaker 4: anything to do with it, you know, but but now
- 42:12Speaker 4: that she's kind of getting older, she low key thinks
- 42:15Speaker 4: it's cool. So she's open to it and she does it,
- 42:18Speaker 4: and you know, she does a great job.
- 42:20Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 42:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 42:22Speaker 2: I mean, I think overall it's a pretty cool experience
- 42:25Speaker 2: to be on TV a reality show, because you've got
- 42:29Speaker 2: to have some thick skin and be very confident about
- 42:33Speaker 2: yourself to get through it, because it's such a toxic
- 42:37Speaker 2: environment at times that you wonder how do people get
- 42:40Speaker 2: through this well?
- 42:42Speaker 4: And you know, I'm glad you mentioned that because you know,
- 42:45Speaker 4: as you go through some of these controversies, and things
- 42:49Speaker 4: like that. You know, really what I look at is
- 42:52Speaker 4: the lesson that I can take from it. And you know,
- 42:55Speaker 4: I'm now watching myself, you know, kind of navigate some
- 42:59Speaker 4: of this stuff, and it's just like, you know, there
- 43:01Speaker 4: are times where I'm like, God, I probably could have
- 43:03Speaker 4: handled that differently. You know, I probably could have come
- 43:08Speaker 4: off less aggressive, you know, And it's like you guys,
- 43:11Speaker 4: know you're entrepreneurs, Like we've we had to fucking fight
- 43:14Speaker 4: for everything we have, you know, so it's like to
- 43:17Speaker 4: become this fighter and sometimes this this fighter has to
- 43:20Speaker 4: be aggressive and and you know, when you come from
- 43:24Speaker 4: a you know, we've we've got a very healthy family dynamic,
- 43:29Speaker 4: we've got a great culture in our work.
- 43:31Speaker 3: And.
- 43:33Speaker 4: You know, it was a real juxtaposition to be put
- 43:36Speaker 4: in some of these situations. But you know, now, I
- 43:41Speaker 4: just really try to learn my lesson along the way.
- 43:44Speaker 4: And it's like, you know, I could have I could
- 43:46Speaker 4: have done that different and I could have done it
- 43:48Speaker 4: a lot smarter and got the same point across. So
- 43:52Speaker 4: so that's my challenge to myself now is is when
- 43:55Speaker 4: I'm put on the spot, how do I handle it?
- 43:58Speaker 4: How can I be smarter about it? And how can
- 44:00Speaker 4: I you know, leave those situations with dignity and and
- 44:06Speaker 4: still make my wife and my family proud and you
- 44:10Speaker 4: know all that stuff.
- 44:19Speaker 3: What's the best part that's come out of Housewives for you?
- 44:22Speaker 4: You know, as you guys know, they're they're they're interesting
- 44:26Speaker 4: perks that come along with it. You know, a lot
- 44:31Speaker 4: of it is the notoriety piece, you know, getting invited
- 44:35Speaker 4: to certain things and being able to expose Electra to
- 44:40Speaker 4: to certain things that you wouldn't have otherwise. You know
- 44:45Speaker 4: it really, you know, we've been in business for so long,
- 44:50Speaker 4: you know, and I think a lot of people get
- 44:51Speaker 4: on the show, they open a business and they try
- 44:55Speaker 4: to sell a product or or whatever, and you know,
- 44:59Speaker 4: the the cool part is like this is something that
- 45:01Speaker 4: we didn't need right to and and there's beauty in
- 45:06Speaker 4: that because you know, we've been working so hard at
- 45:08Speaker 4: what we do and we continue to work on a
- 45:10Speaker 4: daily but you know, our salons were at you know,
- 45:14Speaker 4: eighty five ninety percent capacity, So it's not like we're
- 45:17Speaker 4: getting this huge rush of business because of it, you know,
- 45:23Speaker 4: but you know, it's it's fun to be able to
- 45:26Speaker 4: go to New York with Angie and me and Electra
- 45:29Speaker 4: Rock walk around Rockefeller Plaza while she's doing her thing,
- 45:32Speaker 4: and you know, so stuff like that is is definitely
- 45:37Speaker 4: that's that's a highlight for sure.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Yeah, what are are some of the bad experiences you've
- 45:43Speaker 2: had on the show?
- 45:46Speaker 4: Because of the show, I would say, you know, the
- 45:51Speaker 4: hardest part for me to navigate is is online troll
- 45:58Speaker 4: type stuff. You know. Again, I don't care. Somebody can
- 46:04Speaker 4: go on and say whatever they want about me, but
- 46:07Speaker 4: when they start like messaging my daughter, that is like
- 46:11Speaker 4: what are you guys doing? You know what I mean?
- 46:13Speaker 4: It's like how deep is that basement that you live in?
- 46:16Speaker 4: You know? And it's just like you know, you got
- 46:21Speaker 4: I mean, it's just it's hard when it involves your kid. Yeah,
- 46:26Speaker 4: and so you know what, we go through things with
- 46:29Speaker 4: her and we tell her like, look, you know, you're
- 46:33Speaker 4: you're becomming a household name. And I always I always
- 46:36Speaker 4: put it to her like this. It's like, you know,
- 46:38Speaker 4: movie stars are stars, like they're big stars, but you
- 46:42Speaker 4: know they come out with a movie maybe once a
- 46:44Speaker 4: year or once every other year. You know, you happen
- 46:47Speaker 4: to be in somebody's living room every week, which creates
- 46:51Speaker 4: a different dynamic, right, And so while most of the
- 46:57Speaker 4: people that are are sending messages to us or extremely
- 47:00Speaker 4: positive and so grateful for that. It's just the one
- 47:04Speaker 4: off stuff that's kind of hard to to navigate and
- 47:07Speaker 4: sift through because there's really no you can't have a
- 47:11Speaker 4: conversation with these people. You know, they've made a choice
- 47:15Speaker 4: like you're my enemy, I don't like you, and that's
- 47:18Speaker 4: just what it is, you know. So so that that
- 47:22Speaker 4: that's the end, I would say that would be the
- 47:24Speaker 4: worst part of it.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I agree with you, because in my experience, it's just
- 47:29Speaker 2: been slowly leaking into that social media world where you know,
- 47:36Speaker 2: we're we're we're professionals here under the Bravo umbrella and
- 47:41Speaker 2: we're producing a show and it's edited to its maximum
- 47:44Speaker 2: ability to get maximum return you know, on their on
- 47:47Speaker 2: their work, right, And if it stays under that umbrella,
- 47:51Speaker 2: it's cool. You know, this is a job, this.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Is what we're doing.
- 47:54Speaker 2: But when it spills over into social media and you
- 47:56Speaker 2: got these idiots on the other side trying to the
- 48:00Speaker 2: fame you or or make you look like an asshole
- 48:03Speaker 2: outside of the Bravo umbrella, that's what gets me upset.
- 48:07Speaker 1: It's like, keep it under, keep it under.
- 48:08Speaker 3: The show.
- 48:09Speaker 1: We're here being professionals. This is a job.
- 48:11Speaker 2: We don't need to take this outside into social media
- 48:13Speaker 2: and try to create a story or or derogatory fame that,
- 48:19Speaker 2: you know, because you're mad at us because of the
- 48:22Speaker 2: way the show was edited, right, Like, keep it under
- 48:24Speaker 2: the Bravo umbrella and call it a day. This does
- 48:27Speaker 2: not need to go outside of that.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Yeah, unfortunately it does. You know, I've only been on
- 48:31Speaker 4: social media for two years, and just over two years,
- 48:35Speaker 4: and you know, I got on social media because you know,
- 48:39Speaker 4: and she's like, you know, you probably should do this
- 48:41Speaker 4: and whatever, so I did, and and you know, it
- 48:46Speaker 4: is it's just it's just one of those low hanging
- 48:48Speaker 4: things that people can creep into and try to create chaos.
- 48:52Speaker 4: But you know, it's just like block them and hide
- 48:56Speaker 4: the comment and move on. You know, it's just another lesson.
- 48:59Speaker 4: And and I try to use these examples for Electra.
- 49:03Speaker 4: It's like, this isn't just going to happen here. You know,
- 49:07Speaker 4: you're you're about to start high school and it may
- 49:10Speaker 4: happen with you know, classmates and stuff like that, and
- 49:14Speaker 4: this is how you deal with it. You know, you
- 49:16Speaker 4: just got to keep moving forward, don't question yourself.
- 49:18Speaker 2: You know, I'm glad you talked about that, because that's
- 49:21Speaker 2: one thing that is I think important, is to keep
- 49:24Speaker 2: your kids educated and abreast of the experience and how
- 49:28Speaker 2: to take it, because you know, as a kid, you're
- 49:31Speaker 2: so easily influenced and so easily distracted, especially when there's
- 49:36Speaker 2: something on TV and you know you believe it.
- 49:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's see what else I think we
- 49:47Speaker 5: covered that.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Oh, let me ask you this. Do you get along
- 49:52Speaker 2: with the majority of the men on the show or
- 49:56Speaker 2: do you talk to them or are they just work friends?
- 49:59Speaker 1: If you will?
- 50:00Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, I get along with all of them,
- 50:02Speaker 4: you know, I mean Angie and Meredith and I guess
- 50:05Speaker 4: Meredith and I have some some controversy hanging. You know,
- 50:10Speaker 4: it's happening. We're in the middle of it. You know.
- 50:14Speaker 4: I get along with her husband's Steth fine when we're together.
- 50:17Speaker 4: You know, I think generally speaking, he's a great guy.
- 50:20Speaker 4: The other guys that get along really well with I
- 50:24Speaker 4: do spend more time with, like Justin and I and
- 50:27Speaker 4: I recently started spending more time with Todd Bronwin's husband
- 50:34Speaker 4: outside of filming, and I really really love and appreciate
- 50:38Speaker 4: those guys. You know, they're they're smart. Justine just a
- 50:41Speaker 4: good old boy, you know, and and so is Todd.
- 50:43Speaker 4: And Todd is Todd's a very smart guy. He's done
- 50:46Speaker 4: a lot of great things in his life. And you know,
- 50:49Speaker 4: I just I like to spend time with guys that
- 50:51Speaker 4: I can learn from. And you know, on that note,
- 50:54Speaker 4: it's funny because you know, I've got mentors, and you know,
- 51:00Speaker 4: you guys are are I look at you guys as
- 51:03Speaker 4: mentors from you know, not only business, but you know,
- 51:06Speaker 4: from from watching you guys on the show and and
- 51:09Speaker 4: all that stuff. It's like, but all my mentors are
- 51:12Speaker 4: named ed I have Outside of you guys, I've got
- 51:16Speaker 4: a couple ads that are mentors too. So it's I
- 51:19Speaker 4: like to spend time with guys that I can learn from.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Yeah, by the way, is this the first time that
- 51:25Speaker 3: you find yourself in the drama?
- 51:28Speaker 4: Well, you know, there was with the gay rumors last year.
- 51:32Speaker 4: That's kind of when it started and it's kind of
- 51:34Speaker 4: carried through to to this season up to this point.
- 51:37Speaker 3: So yeah, so are you like talking a lot this season?
- 51:42Speaker 4: I'm talking more than usual. They they they've pulled me
- 51:46Speaker 4: in and they've got me engaged a little bit more
- 51:48Speaker 4: for sure.
- 51:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, it's interesting when they get you more engaged,
- 51:51Speaker 3: they still don't pay you, right, No, it's not like, hey,
- 51:54Speaker 3: you're going to talk a lot more this season, but
- 51:56Speaker 3: you know what, we're not going to pay your exactly,
- 52:00Speaker 3: No love, no love, Eddy. Are you getting paid for
- 52:05Speaker 3: the drama of the season?
- 52:07Speaker 1: No, No, I got and I got roped into it too.
- 52:10Speaker 3: There should be a clause for the men that if
- 52:12Speaker 3: you get roped into the drama, they should hey.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's why I always wondered if the New
- 52:18Speaker 2: Jersey guys are getting paid because they are all into
- 52:22Speaker 2: it and they're great at it and they have great
- 52:24Speaker 2: dynamics on TV.
- 52:27Speaker 1: But I wonder like, how did they do it? How
- 52:29Speaker 1: do they feel comfortable?
- 52:30Speaker 2: Because I don't feel comfortable being on TV and not
- 52:33Speaker 2: getting paid, you know, or if we're even doing anything,
- 52:35Speaker 2: you know, I'm getting exploited. I'm getting you know, thrown
- 52:38Speaker 2: on this show and it just doesn't make any sense.
- 52:41Speaker 1: And the women get paid. So it's a job.
- 52:45Speaker 2: And from what I've seen and witness from with my wife,
- 52:48Speaker 2: she's doing her job and she's getting paid for it.
- 52:50Speaker 2: But why why aren't we getting paid.
- 52:54Speaker 3: I have rarely seen any of the husbands when they
- 52:57Speaker 3: get in the drama come out looking good.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Rarely it's it's.
- 53:03Speaker 3: I don't know if one comes to mind, but typically
- 53:06Speaker 3: it's it's not a good thing.
- 53:08Speaker 4: Well, you know, for me, it's it's I guess I'm
- 53:11Speaker 4: blessed in the way that you know, the stuff that
- 53:14Speaker 4: that I guess I'm I'm engaged with.
- 53:16Speaker 5: Uh.
- 53:17Speaker 4: You know, production has done just i mean such a
- 53:20Speaker 4: great job of of uh getting me through it, you know,
- 53:25Speaker 4: without without anything too crazy. So and I'm still new
- 53:30Speaker 4: you know that can Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna know how here.
- 53:35Speaker 1: The same thing happened to me, Brether and it's just
- 53:37Speaker 1: a matter of time.
- 53:39Speaker 4: I'm sure.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Yeah, in a really good day and ask you to
- 53:43Speaker 2: do an interview or something and you'll be you know,
- 53:46Speaker 2: thear minded happy, everything's great, and then it happens.
- 53:53Speaker 1: So yeah, be careful out there, crossed.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:57Speaker 2: I have one rule and I've i I think I've
- 54:00Speaker 2: shared it with almost every guy house husband that has
- 54:03Speaker 2: come to me for advice, and like, just don't get involved,
- 54:06Speaker 2: you know, I this the sooner you learn to not
- 54:10Speaker 2: get part of the drama, this sooner you'll be like, Okay,
- 54:14Speaker 2: it's it's less stress, but it's hard.
- 54:16Speaker 1: They'll catch you. This year, they.
- 54:18Speaker 2: They caught me, you know, in a situation where I
- 54:20Speaker 2: didn't want to be in and I ended up participating
- 54:23Speaker 2: and getting into an argument with one of the guys.
- 54:26Speaker 2: But you know, it's a long story and the long
- 54:28Speaker 2: history behind it, and I had to get involved.
- 54:31Speaker 1: But I didn't like it. I didn't. It's not this
- 54:34Speaker 1: is a.
- 54:34Speaker 4: Housewipe show right right right.
- 54:38Speaker 2: So anyways, in closing, would you do this show again
- 54:45Speaker 2: if you didn't have this experience?
- 54:49Speaker 4: You know, I you know, I just go back to
- 54:52Speaker 4: you know, I'm gonna I'm gonna support Angie. I'm gonna
- 54:56Speaker 4: be that guy that you know through through the heights
- 54:59Speaker 4: and law, I'm gonna continue to support. I love your advice,
- 55:04Speaker 4: and and like I said earlier, it's just like I'm
- 55:07Speaker 4: gonna be a little bit more aware in terms of like,
- 55:11Speaker 4: if I'm pulled into anything, I've got to really you
- 55:16Speaker 4: know't have that awareness to respond smart appropriate. And you know,
- 55:25Speaker 4: like like you said, they can they can do whatever
- 55:27Speaker 4: they want with the footage and make it look whatever.
- 55:30Speaker 4: But you know, as long as I know that I've
- 55:33Speaker 4: handled myself appropriately. I you know, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 55:38Speaker 4: be okay with it, I think, you know, And like
- 55:40Speaker 4: you said, that's that's a beauty of age, is like
- 55:43Speaker 4: you know, you just you kind of care less and
- 55:45Speaker 4: less about what people think. And you know, finally, you know, finally,
- 55:50Speaker 4: I was a late bloomer in life in general. And
- 55:54Speaker 4: you know that's that's what I love about, you know,
- 55:58Speaker 4: experience and age and stuff like that. Is just a
- 56:00Speaker 4: simple fact that you know, I'm okay with somebody now
- 56:04Speaker 4: liking me these days. You know, I got to live
- 56:08Speaker 4: with myself. I got to wake up with me.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, that's super helpful to be on this show, Sean.
- 56:16Speaker 3: One of the things I love about you, by the way,
- 56:18Speaker 3: as we close, I love your humility. You know, you've
- 56:20Speaker 3: been very You've been very obviously you've been successful, I
- 56:24Speaker 3: think in all areas of your life, not just obviously
- 56:27Speaker 3: the family, the business, uh, you know, fitness, and just uh,
- 56:33Speaker 3: the humility that you have. It's the first thing that
- 56:36Speaker 3: draw me to you when we first spoke, uh saying,
- 56:39Speaker 3: he was like, man, this is a guy that I
- 56:42Speaker 3: could hang with. Yeah, it's because you've had incredible success
- 56:45Speaker 3: yet you're still humble, and it seems like you're still
- 56:50Speaker 3: that guy in the ranch that well, you know.
- 56:52Speaker 4: You know, I appreciate that, and I think that's what
- 56:54Speaker 4: dream me to you guys as well, is just the
- 56:56Speaker 4: grounded uh, you know, the ground at presence there. You know,
- 57:00Speaker 4: we're not we're not trying to impress each other. You know,
- 57:03Speaker 4: we're just who we are and and we're doing what
- 57:05Speaker 4: we do and and not trying to show anybody anything
- 57:10Speaker 4: that we're not. And you know, for me, I'm always
- 57:14Speaker 4: drawn to authenticity and and you know, I can sniff
- 57:20Speaker 4: out the alternative really quick. And I think, you know,
- 57:23Speaker 4: it's it's really cool to be able to develop those
- 57:26Speaker 4: six senses and uh and just navigate life based on
- 57:30Speaker 4: your gut and you know, those senses so that age,
- 57:35Speaker 4: it does, it does.
- 57:38Speaker 3: It's one of my favorite quotes from Humility is you're
- 57:42Speaker 3: either humble or you're about to be.
- 57:46Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Somebody will serve you some humble pie one time or another.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Right, yes, yes, so last question and and then we'll
- 57:55Speaker 2: let you go. But what was what has been the
- 57:58Speaker 2: best experience overall on the Housewives show for you guys?
- 58:03Speaker 4: You know, I think the best thing that has come
- 58:06Speaker 4: along with being on this show is you know, and
- 58:11Speaker 4: you know, I've been forced to communicate more so, you know,
- 58:17Speaker 4: we we we've always communicated, but you know, when you're
- 58:21Speaker 4: in business together, it's like, you know, you kind of
- 58:23Speaker 4: pick up on cues and you're able to kind of
- 58:26Speaker 4: see that stuff and address it. And you know, with
- 58:29Speaker 4: the show, you know, we've been able to really communicate
- 58:33Speaker 4: more direct and like when she comes out of an
- 58:40Speaker 4: uncomfortable situation, I can now go and say, look, I
- 58:43Speaker 4: don't know what that was or what you're dealing with.
- 58:47Speaker 4: Do you want to tell me about it? You know? So,
- 58:50Speaker 4: so I would say communication is really increased since being
- 58:54Speaker 4: on this show in a really good way. Yeah, And
- 58:57Speaker 4: I think you know, we're really able to show support
- 59:01Speaker 4: from one another in a whole a whole different in
- 59:08Speaker 4: a whole different way. So I would say that's been
- 59:12Speaker 4: the most the most positive part of this.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just it's communications on level ten and I
- 59:23Speaker 4: think that's you know, obviously, you know it's percent important
- 59:28Speaker 4: for anybody in a relationship, but but to be consistently
- 59:34Speaker 4: aware of it and to be consistently like concerned is
- 59:38Speaker 4: like how you're handling this, how you're doing it. You know,
- 59:41Speaker 4: same thing with Electra. You know, it's just it's really
- 59:44Speaker 4: forced communication to have uncomfortable conversations and and and really
- 59:51Speaker 4: have that transparency as like how you're feeling, what do
- 59:54Speaker 4: you think about this, you know, stuff like that.
- 59:56Speaker 1: So that's awesome. Yeah, very positive.
- 59:59Speaker 4: I like that. Thank you, well, great show, guys.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Well thanks for coming on. Sean.
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: It's been really fun to talking to you. I mean,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: I knew it was going to be fun because when
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: we met in San Francisco, it was just so easy
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: to sit down and have a conversation with you. We
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: have so much in common, more than I imagine. So thank
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: you so much for coming on and and in the
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: background here and uh and we will we wish you
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: the best man, keep being successful, keeping who you are.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: You doing great, and you know, don't let this thing
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: bring you down with.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: You guys, Sean, Mike, Sean, take care of care.
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Been
