Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein's Death And The 38 Minute Gap In Reporting (10/18/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:01
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's death was reported at 8.54 a.m. by Aaron
• 0:08
Speaker 1: Katursky for ABC News. The only problem with that is
• 0:14
Speaker 1: 38 minutes prior to that post going public, Jeffrey Epstein's
• 0:20
Speaker 1: death was already announced on 4chan. The question is, who
• 0:26
Speaker 1: made the post on 4chan about Jeffrey Epstein's death? And
• 0:31
Speaker 1: I've looked and looked and looked, and there has been
• 0:33
Speaker 1: no follow-up reporting about this. So we had the initial
• 0:36
Speaker 1: story break on August 13th, and it was being reported
• 0:41
Speaker 1: that this post was made on 4chan. And we know
• 0:44
Speaker 1: that the FDNY, they initiated an investigation or a review
• 0:48
Speaker 1: into if it could have been one of their employees
• 0:51
Speaker 1: who made the post. Well, after that conversation with the
• 0:55
Speaker 1: chief of the fire department occurred where he said that
• 0:59
Speaker 1: they did the review and they found out that it
• 1:01
Speaker 1: was not one of them, well, the story pretty much
• 1:04
Speaker 1: just went away. We haven't heard anything about it. There's
• 1:06
Speaker 1: been no follow-up reports. There's been no media reports about it. Nothing.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: So I thought that we'd go back and we'd take
• 1:14
Speaker 1: a look at that post on 4chan with the benefit
• 1:18
Speaker 1: of hindsight. Now, again, I don't know what the deal is, right?
• 1:23
Speaker 1: And more than likely, it was probably somebody who was
• 1:26
Speaker 1: working the crime scene who, I guess, uses 4chan as well,
• 1:30
Speaker 1: who decided that they were going to break the story
• 1:32
Speaker 1: themselves and post as an anon on 4chan and basically
• 1:36
Speaker 1: scoop the media. Now that's the most likely scenario, right?
• 1:40
Speaker 1: But who knows? We don't have any evidence, really any
• 1:45
Speaker 1: reporting at all about this except for the initial story.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: So I thought it was a good idea to go
• 1:50
Speaker 1: back and have another look at this with hindsight as
• 1:53
Speaker 1: our tool that we can use. You know, now that
• 1:56
Speaker 1: we know so much about the case, when we go
• 1:58
Speaker 1: back and we take a look at it, maybe things
• 1:59
Speaker 1: will fall into place, right? Maybe we'll have a better
• 2:01
Speaker 1: idea of about who would be posting on 4chan and
• 2:05
Speaker 1: what that motivation would be. So again, More than likely,
• 2:09
Speaker 1: it was somebody who was working the crime scene. There
• 2:11
Speaker 1: was a bunch of people working the crime scene, obviously, right?
• 2:14
Speaker 1: So it was probably one of them who made the post.
• 2:17
Speaker 1: But that doesn't answer the question of who the person is, right?
• 2:21
Speaker 1: That's the likeliest scenario. But how come there was never
• 2:24
Speaker 1: any reporting about this after the fact? How come there
• 2:28
Speaker 1: was never no follow-up or no digging or anybody trying
• 2:32
Speaker 1: to figure out who the initial author was? I think
• 2:36
Speaker 1: it's pretty interesting that they just let this story die
• 2:39
Speaker 1: out because who knows? Whoever made that post might be
• 2:42
Speaker 1: able to add a little bit of perspective to the case,
• 2:44
Speaker 1: a little bit of context, right? So we're going to
• 2:47
Speaker 1: go back and we're going to check out the first article.
• 2:49
Speaker 1: It's a BuzzFeed News article. And we're going to see
• 2:52
Speaker 1: what they have to say. This article was first published
• 2:56
Speaker 1: August 13th, 2019. And this article was written by Jane... Litvinenko. Headline,
• 3:09
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's death was on 4chan before officials announced it,
• 3:13
Speaker 1: and authorities had to look into it. About 38 minutes
• 3:17
Speaker 1: before news outlets first reported Jeffrey Epstein's death in prison,
• 3:20
Speaker 1: a 4chan user published a detailed post about it. Now,
• 3:24
Speaker 1: that's pretty concerning in the best of times, right? Very
• 3:27
Speaker 1: concerning when you see something like that, and it looks
• 3:30
Speaker 1: like a breach from the inside, an employee more than likely,
• 3:33
Speaker 1: but again, who knows? And you see this kind of thing,
• 3:36
Speaker 1: and A, it's very unprofessional, right? And B... You have
• 3:40
Speaker 1: to ask yourself, why would somebody that's in the middle
• 3:44
Speaker 1: of doing this work, you know, trying to resuscitate Epstein
• 3:48
Speaker 1: or showing up to the crime scene, what's their motivation
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: for posting it on 4chan? And that's a question I've
• 3:54
Speaker 1: asked myself time and time again when I've looked back
• 3:57
Speaker 1: at this part of the case and pondered who it
• 4:00
Speaker 1: could be and what their motivation was making that post.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: And again, more than likely, it was probably just somebody
• 4:06
Speaker 1: at the crime scene, right? Somebody who is, you know,
• 4:10
Speaker 1: not so serious about their job, obviously, and who decided that,
• 4:13
Speaker 1: you know what, I'm going to shitpost real quick to
• 4:14
Speaker 1: 4chan and I'm going to scoop the media. That's... When
• 4:18
Speaker 1: I first looked at this, this is the scenario I
• 4:21
Speaker 1: came up with, and still, going back and looking at it,
• 4:24
Speaker 1: I'm still leaning towards that as the scenario of the
• 4:28
Speaker 1: origination of this post. But I think it deserves further examination,
• 4:32
Speaker 1: and I think there's definitely a question to be asked
• 4:35
Speaker 1: as to who the author was. New York City Fire
• 4:40
Speaker 1: Department looked into whether an employee posted about Jeffrey Epstein's
• 4:44
Speaker 1: death on a notorious internet message board prior to officials
• 4:47
Speaker 1: announcing it to the public. BuzzFeed News has learned. After
• 4:51
Speaker 1: telling BuzzFeed News the post was under review, an FDNY
• 4:55
Speaker 1: spokesperson said authorities determined this alleged information did not come
• 4:59
Speaker 1: from the fire department. Alright, so it didn't come from
• 5:02
Speaker 1: the fire department. What about the correctional officers that were
• 5:05
Speaker 1: on the scene? What about, you know, anybody else who
• 5:09
Speaker 1: might have been there? Who's the doctor? I think this is,
• 5:13
Speaker 1: you know, something that should not have been ignored. And
• 5:15
Speaker 1: if somebody who is working the scene and working as
• 5:19
Speaker 1: an employee of the jail system, I think that people
• 5:24
Speaker 1: should act and conduct themselves correctly when it comes to
• 5:27
Speaker 1: something like this so that there can be no outs
• 5:30
Speaker 1: for people like Epstein and their lawyers, right? You know,
• 5:34
Speaker 1: what if Jeffrey Epstein would have survived this and they
• 5:36
Speaker 1: would have conducted their investigation and the resuscitation and all
• 5:40
Speaker 1: of that stuff and they would have done it in
• 5:42
Speaker 1: a manner that was considered sloppy? You don't think Jeffrey
• 5:45
Speaker 1: Epstein's attorneys, led by Alan Dershowitz, would have had a
• 5:47
Speaker 1: field day with that and found a loophole to get
• 5:49
Speaker 1: him some less time or whatever? Because that's how they
• 5:52
Speaker 1: play this game. When you're dealing with somebody like Epstein
• 5:55
Speaker 1: and you're dealing with somebody that's as powerful as he
• 5:58
Speaker 1: is when it comes to his manipulation of the courts,
• 6:01
Speaker 1: you have to make sure that you have an ironclad
• 6:03
Speaker 1: case and you're following the rules to a T. And
• 6:06
Speaker 1: we know... From everything that went on the day of his,
• 6:10
Speaker 1: of Epstein's death, we know that literally no steps were followed.
• 6:13
Speaker 1: There was no pictures of the crime scene, video, I mean,
• 6:16
Speaker 1: video footage, body cam footage by the officers who responded.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: They moved the body. All sorts of bad stuff happened, right?
• 6:24
Speaker 1: So this is just another question that has not been answered.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: An investigation is a formal act which brings about a
• 6:32
Speaker 1: process which includes interviewing witnesses, serving notice, determining credibility of
• 6:37
Speaker 1: witness statements, and that was not warranted, nor did it
• 6:40
Speaker 1: take place here. This determination was made after a review
• 6:44
Speaker 1: of the incident. We looked at the information provided by
• 6:47
Speaker 1: a reporter and we looked at our own records and
• 6:50
Speaker 1: there was no match, said FDNY spokesperson Frank Dwyer, who
• 6:54
Speaker 1: added that the FDNY's Office of Healthcare Compliance conducted the review.
• 6:58
Speaker 1: It doesn't match our medical records. Almost 40 minutes before
• 7:03
Speaker 1: ABC News first reported Epstein's death on Twitter, someone posted
• 7:06
Speaker 1: still unverified details on 4chan, the anonymous message board popular
• 7:11
Speaker 1: with far-right trolls and white nationalists. I think that they
• 7:14
Speaker 1: could probably tone that back a little bit, right? How
• 7:17
Speaker 1: about a popular message board with all sorts of radicals
• 7:21
Speaker 1: and whack jobs? I mean, have you ever dipped your
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: toe into 4chan? If you're looking for a, uh... a
• 7:28
Speaker 1: look into the human psyche of the incel or the psychopath,
• 7:33
Speaker 1: definitely 4chan would be the place to go. I'm talking
• 7:35
Speaker 1: if Sigmund Freud was alive and he went to 4chan,
• 7:37
Speaker 1: he would have a field day. The Post. Don't ask
• 7:42
Speaker 1: me how I know, but Epstein died an hour ago
• 7:44
Speaker 1: from hanging and cardiac arrest. Screencap this. Read the post,
• 7:49
Speaker 1: which was published at 8.16am alongside an image of Pepe,
• 7:53
Speaker 1: the green frog that has become a mascot for right-wing
• 7:56
Speaker 1: internet trolls. And again, the BuzzFeed obviously has their political bent, right?
• 8:02
Speaker 1: Obviously has their own bias. And of course, if they
• 8:05
Speaker 1: get a chance to slam the football down and score
• 8:07
Speaker 1: some political points by... pointing out that right-wing trolls hang
• 8:11
Speaker 1: out on 4chan, well, they can never help themselves. They
• 8:14
Speaker 1: have to do it. So, they have to make sure
• 8:17
Speaker 1: they slam the football down and make sure that they're
• 8:20
Speaker 1: doing their part to keep the tribalism in play. Meanwhile,
• 8:23
Speaker 1: none of that's necessary. Just give us the information and
• 8:27
Speaker 1: don't try and divide the people. Let the people come
• 8:29
Speaker 1: together and... and force justice in the case right but
• 8:34
Speaker 1: even when they're they're reporting on something as serious as
• 8:36
Speaker 1: this at a place like buzzfeed it has to be
• 8:39
Speaker 1: skewered it has to be has to have a political
• 8:41
Speaker 1: bend right and it's no different from other outlets on
• 8:44
Speaker 1: the right you know breitbart etc etc it's all the
• 8:47
Speaker 1: same thing and what it is folks and why i
• 8:49
Speaker 1: pointed out is just more gaslighting it's more gaslighting by
• 8:53
Speaker 1: the the legacy media them trying to get you to
• 8:56
Speaker 1: think a certain way That message was posted 38 minutes
• 9:01
Speaker 1: before the first tweet about Epstein's death from Aaron Katursky,
• 9:04
Speaker 1: an ABC News reporter, at 8.54 a.m. Five minutes later,
• 9:09
Speaker 1: the main ABC News account tweeted an article about Epstein's death.
• 9:14
Speaker 1: After publishing the post, other 4chan users egged on the author.
• 9:18
Speaker 1: So that's interesting, right? The details that the poster posted
• 9:42
Speaker 1: afterwards match up with what happens at a scene like this,
• 9:45
Speaker 1: suggesting that it was a medical worker or somebody that
• 9:49
Speaker 1: was a medic or with training. Now, who knows who
• 9:52
Speaker 1: else was around? Do we have a full accounting of
• 9:54
Speaker 1: who was in that cell when Epstein was being resuscitated?
• 9:57
Speaker 1: Maybe there was a doctor there that we didn't know about.
• 9:59
Speaker 1: Could be, right? We don't know. That's the problem, folks.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: That's the biggest problem here. There has not been any
• 10:04
Speaker 1: transparency when it comes to the government. There has been
• 10:07
Speaker 1: zero transparency when it comes to the circumstances that led
• 10:11
Speaker 1: to Jeffrey Epstein's death. And therefore, in lieu of that,
• 10:15
Speaker 1: there is going to be questions. There's going to be skepticism.
• 10:17
Speaker 1: Nobody's going to believe that... The narrative that they're trying
• 10:22
Speaker 1: to push when the only person who's seen these supposed
• 10:24
Speaker 1: tapes is Barr, right? Of what was going on in
• 10:27
Speaker 1: the cell. I saw the tapes. You can trust me
• 10:29
Speaker 1: that nothing occurred. Sorry, buddy. I don't trust you. You
• 10:32
Speaker 1: see all these coincidences that are around Jeffrey Epstein's death?
• 10:38
Speaker 1: It warrants more investigation, and it certainly warrants more than, uh,
• 10:42
Speaker 1: you have to trust me and believe me. Especially when
• 10:45
Speaker 1: all of the players that are involved in this are
• 10:47
Speaker 1: at the highest levels of power. How do we know
• 10:49
Speaker 1: that you're not covering for them? Nobody's gonna trust just
• 10:53
Speaker 1: your word on something like this, right? And, again, we
• 10:57
Speaker 1: don't know who was at the scene. We don't have
• 10:59
Speaker 1: a detailed listing, we don't have an account of the
• 11:02
Speaker 1: actual personnel that showed up when Epstein supposedly killed himself.
• 11:05
Speaker 1: We don't have those details. So it's muddy. It could
• 11:08
Speaker 1: be anybody. It could be a fireman. And the review
• 11:11
Speaker 1: missed it. It could be a medic. And the review
• 11:13
Speaker 1: missed it. It could be an employee of the prison.
• 11:17
Speaker 1: And the review missed it. Who knows who it was?
• 11:19
Speaker 1: And that's the question I'm asking. Who could have possibly
• 11:23
Speaker 1: made this post? And why has it not been of
• 11:27
Speaker 1: interest enough to the legacy media for them to come
• 11:30
Speaker 1: back and take another look at this? Dwyer told BuzzFeed
• 11:36
Speaker 1: News he could not verify the accuracy of the information
• 11:39
Speaker 1: in the 4chan post, but he said any medical professional
• 11:42
Speaker 1: who divulges patient information without consent is in violation of
• 11:46
Speaker 1: a federal health privacy law, HIPAA, and that FDNY would
• 11:50
Speaker 1: look into it. Again, another case of the investigated investigating themselves.
• 11:56
Speaker 1: You know, don't get me wrong. The fire department in
• 11:59
Speaker 1: anywhere in the world is filled with brave souls, right?
• 12:03
Speaker 1: Absolute modern day heroes. Anyone who runs into a building
• 12:06
Speaker 1: that's on fire has a big set on them and
• 12:09
Speaker 1: deserves respect, right? So I'm not talking about the actual
• 12:13
Speaker 1: firemen here, but when you get into the bureaucrats, look,
• 12:16
Speaker 1: this is big business, man, especially in a place like
• 12:18
Speaker 1: New York. It's big business when you become the chief
• 12:21
Speaker 1: or you're the head of the fire department. You're no
• 12:24
  Speaker 1: longer a man that's running into buildings. You're in a
• 12:26
Speaker 1: different circle, right? You're in another food range at this point.
• 12:30
Speaker 1: You're dealing with politics. You're dealing with politicians, city councilmen, etc., etc. So,
• 12:36
Speaker 1: of course, they're going to lean on you and they're
• 12:38
Speaker 1: going to suggest that you move things in a forthright manner. And,
• 12:45
Speaker 1: you know, look... These guys are not above being pressured, right?
• 12:50
Speaker 1: You're a police chief, whatever it may be. These guys
• 12:52
Speaker 1: are pressured all the time. We see it all the time.
• 12:54
Speaker 1: And it was, that's probably what was happening here as well. They,
• 12:57
Speaker 1: you know, they were pressured to get initiated in a
• 13:00
Speaker 1: review and they probably did a review, but not a
• 13:04
Speaker 1: long one, not a good one, not one that, that
• 13:07
Speaker 1: truly vetted everybody that was there. Kind of just like
• 13:10
Speaker 1: a safe face review, in my opinion. The department will
• 13:17
Speaker 1: review this incident, he said at the time. The FDNY
• 13:20
Speaker 1: later said that it is reviewing the incident, but there
• 13:23
Speaker 1: is no investigation. That's interesting, huh? Just a review that
• 13:26
Speaker 1: didn't even warrant enough for an investigation, huh? Even if
• 13:31
Speaker 1: it was just something as... as... basic as one of the,
• 13:37
Speaker 1: the medics or the fire department, uh, guys that were
• 13:40
Speaker 1: on scene or a police officer or corrections officer, I
• 13:43
Speaker 1: should say, even if it was something like one of
• 13:46
Speaker 1: them made the post, then that should, you know, they should,
• 13:49
Speaker 1: they should say that they shouldn't conduct this shoddy review
• 13:51
Speaker 1: and then come out and say, oh, well, we don't
• 13:53
Speaker 1: know who made the post. Because that doesn't really cut it, right?
• 13:56
Speaker 1: There were only certain people that were there, so there's
• 14:00
Speaker 1: a list of people that it could have been. I
• 14:02
Speaker 1: just don't understand how this doesn't warrant more investigation to
• 14:05
Speaker 1: find out who made the post. Oren Barzilay, the president
• 14:14
Speaker 1: of the Union for EMT Workers Local 2507 in New
• 14:18
Speaker 1: York said, Our members do not release this type of
• 14:21
Speaker 1: confidential information. This looks like third-party info. Alright, well, what
• 14:26
Speaker 1: third parties were there? Again, that's the question I have.
• 14:29
Speaker 1: Doesn't mean that there was something devious going on with
• 14:32
Speaker 1: this post, or that it was part of a grand conspiracy.
• 14:35
Speaker 1: But it certainly warrants further investigation and for some context, right,
• 14:40
Speaker 1: and some clarity going forward. This is another problem I
• 14:43
Speaker 1: have with the legacy media. They like to report stuff
• 14:46
Speaker 1: and then never go back and do a follow-up. And
• 14:49
Speaker 1: what they do is they just, you know, keep it
• 14:51
Speaker 1: moving and they act like it wasn't important or it
• 14:54
Speaker 1: wasn't a useful piece of information in the case and
• 14:57
Speaker 1: they just bury it. And I don't understand why they
• 15:00
Speaker 1: would do that and not try and figure out where
• 15:03
Speaker 1: this post originated. I think that that would be an
• 15:06
Speaker 1: interesting investigation, and the person who wrote the post, I
• 15:10
Speaker 1: think that would be one hell of an interview. Bargeley
• 15:16
Speaker 1: also told BuzzFeed News the union would investigate the potential
• 15:19
Speaker 1: breach of confidentiality if such a claim came forward. There's
• 15:23
Speaker 1: serious consequences for those violations. Discipline, suspensions, civil penalties, etc.,
• 15:29
Speaker 1: Barzillet said in an email. Oh, yeah, we can tell.
• 15:32
Speaker 1: We can tell that you guys really initiated an investigation, huh? Again,
• 15:36
Speaker 1: nothing against the union, right? They have to protect their members.
• 15:38
Speaker 1: I get it. But where is the independent oversight of
• 15:42
Speaker 1: all of these bureaucracies? There is none. It's supposed to
• 15:45
Speaker 1: come from Congress or the city council locally, but we
• 15:49
Speaker 1: never see that. They're too busy advancing whatever their own
• 15:52
Speaker 1: motivations are, whatever their own private, personal projects might be.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: They don't have time for oversight. Oversight? Yeah, right. They'll
• 16:03
Speaker 1: conduct their own investigations. And then when something horrible happens
• 16:07
Speaker 1: and someone like Jeffrey Epstein dies in jail, the finger
• 16:11
Speaker 1: starting point begins, right? They start blaming each other. Oh,
• 16:15
Speaker 1: this part of the department was lax or this part
• 16:17
Speaker 1: of the department didn't do their job when we know
• 16:20
Speaker 1: it's a systematic problem. The whole entire thing, from top
• 16:25
Speaker 1: to bottom, is broken, including the two-tier justice system. When
• 16:29
Speaker 1: are we going to address that? When are we going
• 16:31
Speaker 1: to fix that? The Medical Examiner's Office and the Metropolitan
• 16:37
Speaker 1: Correctional Center both declined to comment. Spokespeople for the New
• 16:41
Speaker 1: York Presbyterian Hospital have not responded to repeated emails and
• 16:44
Speaker 1: calls requesting comment. That's interesting. I don't have any evidence
• 16:50
Speaker 1: of anybody who could have made this post, right? But
• 16:52
Speaker 1: in my opinion, I bet you it came from the
• 16:54
Speaker 1: medical examiner's office. It sounds like something from a medical
• 16:57
Speaker 1: examiner's office, in my opinion. Now, who that could be,
• 17:00
Speaker 1: I have no idea. And if that's even the case,
• 17:03
Speaker 1: I have no evidence to prove that. That's from reading
• 17:05
Speaker 1: this and knowing about the circumstances surrounding this. In my opinion,
• 17:10
Speaker 1: that's the likeliest place for this leak to have originated.
• 17:16
Speaker 1: The full details of Epstein's death won't be known until
• 17:18
Speaker 1: the final coroner's report is released, meaning the 4chan post
• 17:22
Speaker 1: laying out the alleged treatment he received cannot be fully verified.
• 17:26
Speaker 1: An EMS expert contacted by BuzzFeed News said the details
• 17:30
Speaker 1: in the post are consistent with standard practices. And again,
• 17:34
Speaker 1: they're trying to make it seem here like, you know,
• 17:36
Speaker 1: we still can't verify what happened afterwards, the stuff that
• 17:41
Speaker 1: the poster talked about afterwards. But I think while that's important,
• 17:45
Speaker 1: the biggest thing here is the fact that the poster
• 17:48
Speaker 1: broke the story before Legacy Media. 38 minutes before Legacy Media.
• 17:56
Speaker 1: Where did he get that information? As we all know,
• 17:59
Speaker 1: the legacy media is on everything. Something salacious like this,
• 18:03
Speaker 1: they have contacts everywhere. The fact that they were scooped
• 18:06
Speaker 1: for so long, it's crazy to me to think that
• 18:12
Speaker 1: they didn't get their claws on the story first and
• 18:14
Speaker 1: they were scooped by 4chan. Information released by the Federal
• 18:22
Speaker 1: Bureau of Prisons also appears to line up with some
• 18:25
Speaker 1: of what was posted on 4chan. Again, it, look, In
• 18:29
Speaker 1: my opinion, there's zero doubt that this post originated from
• 18:33
Speaker 1: the site of Jeffrey Epstein's death, from the jailhouse. Now,
• 18:37
Speaker 1: the question is, who made the post, right? That is
• 18:40
Speaker 1: the whole point of tonight's episode, and the whole point
• 18:44
Speaker 1: of the question that I'm asking is, who could have
• 18:47
Speaker 1: possibly made this post, and why has there not been
• 18:50
Speaker 1: more of an investigation into the origination of this post? Dr.
• 18:57
Speaker 1: Keith Wesley, an emergency medicine physician who has authored several
• 19:00
Speaker 1: EMS textbooks and articles, viewed the 4chan post at BuzzFeed
• 19:04
Speaker 1: News' request and said it lays out standard procedures for paramedics.
• 19:09
Speaker 1: This sounds like standard American Heart Association guidelines, which most
• 19:13
Speaker 1: EMS agencies use, Wesley said. Parts of the post refers
• 19:17
Speaker 1: to telemetry-advised bicarb. According to Wesley, this could mean the
• 19:21
Speaker 1: first responders were also speaking with the hospitals as they
• 19:25
Speaker 1: were trying to resuscitate their patient. That's pretty interesting, right?
• 19:30
Speaker 1: They were talking to the hospital according to that post
• 19:33
Speaker 1: and they were seeking guidance, right? They were in the
• 19:35
Speaker 1: field and they were seeking guidance from doctors as these
• 19:39
Speaker 1: medics attempted to resuscitate Jeffrey Epstein. Telemetry implies the paramedics
• 19:46
Speaker 1: were in contact with a medical control hospital who then
• 19:49
Speaker 1: gave orders to give sodium bicarbonate, bicarb, which is designed
• 19:53
Speaker 1: to reverse the acid buildup in the blood from prolonged
• 19:57
Speaker 1: cardiac arrest, Wesley said in an email. So here was
• 20:02
Speaker 1: the follow-up post by the anon who sent the original
• 20:07
Speaker 1: post about Epstein being dead. Worked as a stall arrest
• 20:13
Speaker 1: for 40 minutes. ALS intubated in the field EPI 2
• 20:18
Speaker 1: liters NS infused. Telemetry advised bicarb and D50 in the field.
• 20:23
Speaker 1: Patient transported to lower Manhattan ER and worked on for
• 20:26
Speaker 1: 20 minutes and called. Hospital administrator was alerted preparing statements.
• 20:32
Speaker 1: So that was the follow-up post to the original post
• 20:35
Speaker 1: where they stated that Epstein was dead, right? So they
• 20:41
Speaker 1: added this later on. I don't know how much. Let's
• 20:43
Speaker 1: see what time later. This was added about 84756. So still,
• 20:52
Speaker 1: this post, the second post that he made was still
• 20:56
Speaker 1: seven minutes roughly before ABC scooped, I mean before ABC
• 21:01
Speaker 1: came out and reported the news. So that's pretty interesting, right?
• 21:05
Speaker 1: This poster fired off two posts about Epstein's death before
• 21:10
Speaker 1: ABC News even picked it up. If one of the
• 21:14
Speaker 1: medics posted this separately, that's a breach of protocol, he added.
• 21:18
Speaker 1: If there was identifying information on the patient, that is
• 21:21
Speaker 1: a violation of federal HIPAA law. The 4chan user made
• 21:25
Speaker 1: six posts about Epstein's death. One of them claimed that
• 21:28
Speaker 1: attempts to resuscitate Epstein was made for 40 minutes before
• 21:32
Speaker 1: he was transported to the hospital, at which point medical
• 21:35
Speaker 1: personnel tried to revive him for another 20 minutes. Those
• 21:39
Speaker 1: details are at least partially consistent with the information regarding
• 21:42
Speaker 1: Epstein's death that have been publicly released by the Federal
• 21:45
Speaker 1: Bureau of Prisons. So I think it's pretty fair to
• 21:48
Speaker 1: say at this point that the person who made that
• 21:50
Speaker 1: post was in the know. They knew what was going on.
• 21:54
Speaker 1: They had an idea, a very good idea of the
• 21:57
Speaker 1: situation on hand, and they knew exactly what went on,
• 22:01
Speaker 1: meaning the steps that were taken to try and resuscitate
• 22:05
Speaker 1: Epstein and bring him back to life after he was
• 22:07
Speaker 1: found unresponsive in his cell, which suggests to me a
• 22:11
Speaker 1: medical professional of some sort. PT transported to Lower Manhattan
• 22:17
Speaker 1: ER and worked on for 20 minutes and called. Hospital
• 22:21
Speaker 1: administrator was alerted, preparing statements, said the 4chan post. Staff
• 22:25
Speaker 1: requested emergency medical services and life-saving efforts continued, said a
• 22:30
Speaker 1: statement released by the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of
• 22:33
Speaker 1: Prisons on Saturday. Mr. Epstein was transported by EMS to
• 22:36
Speaker 1: a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries and subsequently
• 22:40
Speaker 1: pronounced dead by hospital staff. So you see how it
• 22:44
Speaker 1: adds up, right? This is what the poster originally said,
• 22:47
Speaker 1: and then you have the Department of Justice giving us
• 22:49
Speaker 1: their very cryptic releases, like usual, just enough information, right?
• 22:54
Speaker 1: It's unbelievable how much they keep back from the American public.
• 22:58
Speaker 1: It is unbelievable how they play games with the American public.
• 23:04
Speaker 1: It's not clear who posted the news of Epstein's death
• 23:07
Speaker 1: on 4chan, but first responders and hospital staff would have
• 23:10
Speaker 1: access to information laid out in the post. The reaction
• 23:13
Speaker 1: of 4chan to the news was explosive. Some users didn't
• 23:17
Speaker 1: believe the author, while others launched straight into conspiracy theories
• 23:20
Speaker 1: that have since engulfed news of Epstein's death. The 4chan
• 23:24
Speaker 1: thread was first found by Conrad Iturbi, a developer based
• 23:28
Speaker 1: in Barcelona who was researching conspiracies surrounding Epstein Online. That'll
• 23:34
Speaker 1: keep the conspiracies forever, Iturbi said about the 4chan post.
• 23:38
Speaker 1: And again, look folks, I don't have any information that's
• 23:43
Speaker 1: saying that this is some kind of, you know, huge
• 23:46
Speaker 1: part of the case or anything like that. This isn't
• 23:48
Speaker 1: like a piece of information that's going to blow this
• 23:50
Speaker 1: case wide open. But it's very interesting that nobody has
• 23:54
Speaker 1: reported on this since we have no news reports about
• 23:59
Speaker 1: who the post might have been made by, no follow-up
• 24:01
Speaker 1: stories about it. And it's pretty significant that a story
• 24:05
Speaker 1: as big as this was broke on 4chan as opposed
• 24:10
Speaker 1: to by the legacy media. Pretty amazing, in my opinion. Now, again,
• 24:18
Speaker 1: all signs lead to a medical professional being... the person
• 24:22
Speaker 1: who posted this. Now the question would be, who were
• 24:25
Speaker 1: the medical professionals that were on scene? And of course,
• 24:29
Speaker 1: we don't have that information, so we can't even begin
• 24:31
Speaker 1: to speculate. All I can say is that this post
• 24:34
Speaker 1: definitely was made on 4chan before Jeffrey Epstein was dead.
• 24:38
Speaker 1: This post called it before Jeffrey Epstein was dead, and
• 24:42
Speaker 1: then went into the procedures that were supposedly used on
• 24:46
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein to try and resuscitate him. And this was
• 24:49
Speaker 1: all before ABC even reported that the guy was dead.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: Crazy times we're living in, folks. Crazy times that we
• 24:58
Speaker 1: are living in. There are so many different rabbit holes
• 25:06
Speaker 1: to go down in this Jeffrey Epstein case that it's
• 25:11
Speaker 1: mind-boggling that every single time you think that you have
• 25:14
Speaker 1: a question answered in this case, another one arises. So again, folks,
• 25:20
Speaker 1: what do you think? Who do you think could have
• 25:21
Speaker 1: been the author of that post? It could have been
• 25:24
Speaker 1: a medical professional, maybe one of the guards. What do
• 25:27
Speaker 1: you guys think? You can shoot me an email at
• 25:29
  Speaker 1: BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com. What's up, everyone?
• 25:38
Speaker 1: And welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. In today's episode,
• 25:43
Speaker 1: we're going to hear from a woman named Judith Miller,
• 25:47
Speaker 1: who served time at the MCC and was also an
• 25:52
Speaker 1: inmate in the federal prison system. And she has a
• 25:56
Speaker 1: few opinions about Jeffrey Epstein's alleged suicide and what went
• 26:00
Speaker 1: down in that jail cell. This article is from Eye
• 26:04
Speaker 1: on the News. And like I said, the author is
• 26:08
Speaker 1: Judith Miller. It was originally posted on August 11th. of 2019.
• 26:15
Speaker 1: Here are a few things I know firsthand about being
• 26:18
Speaker 1: in jail. First and foremost, you have virtually no control
• 26:22
Speaker 1: over your life and surroundings. You can't get so much
• 26:26
Speaker 1: as an aspirin without authorization. In most jails, you can't
• 26:30
Speaker 1: wear a belt or shoelaces or keep a razor in
• 26:33
Speaker 1: your cell. You have no privacy, no sense of dignity,
• 26:37
Speaker 1: and no rights. In a well-run jail, high-profile prisoners have
• 26:41
Speaker 1: virtually no chance of killing themselves. That is a fact.
• 26:45
Speaker 1: When a jail is run efficiently and a facility is
• 26:49
Speaker 1: run with care and people take the time in positions
• 26:54
Speaker 1: of power to make sure they're doing the right thing,
• 26:56
Speaker 1: inmates shouldn't be killing themselves. And even at the MCC,
• 27:00
Speaker 1: with it being such a damn dump, it wasn't like
• 27:04
Speaker 1: this was a big problem there. Like a whole bunch
• 27:06
Speaker 1: of people were killing themselves on a regular basis, and
• 27:09
Speaker 1: it was causing all kinds of, you know, grief in
• 27:12
Speaker 1: the system. That's not what was occurring. So to pitch
• 27:15
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's alleged suicide as just, you know, a shrug
• 27:18
Speaker 1: of the shoulders and, well, it was expected, is ridiculous
• 27:22
Speaker 1: to me. So the alleged suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, the
• 27:29
Speaker 1: 66-year-old pedophile with powerful American and foreign friends, who is
• 27:34
Speaker 1: about to stand trial for allegedly sexually abusing dozens of girls,
• 27:38
Speaker 1: many of them underage, is particularly unfathomable and outrageous. In
• 27:45
Speaker 1: a letter to the Justice Department, Republican Senator Ben Sasse
• 27:49
Speaker 1: of Nebraska called it inexcusable that Epstein did not live
• 27:53
Speaker 1: to face his accusers. For all of Ben Sasse's jawing
• 27:56
Speaker 1: and all of his yip-yapping, I haven't seen him do
• 27:59
Speaker 1: one single thing about bringing a commission together here to
• 28:04
Speaker 1: listen to what happened. Can we get a full account
• 28:06
Speaker 1: about what happened with Jeffrey Epstein, please? And let's not
• 28:09
Speaker 1: act like it was just, you know, a regular old
• 28:12
Speaker 1: trafficking ring. This is a man who is connected to
• 28:14
Speaker 1: the most powerful people in the world, and all of
• 28:17
Speaker 1: that needs to be exposed. Obviously, heads must roll, he wrote.
• 28:25
Speaker 1: Attorney General William Barr clearly agrees, saying that he was
• 28:29
Speaker 1: appalled to have learned that Epstein was found dead at 6.30 a.m.
• 28:33
Speaker 1: on Saturday morning at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, MCC, in
• 28:38
Speaker 1: Lower Manhattan. Barr instructed the department's inspector general to investigate
• 28:42
Speaker 1: precisely how Epstein died at MCC, a long troubled pretrial
• 28:47
Speaker 1: detention facility. So all of the talk, right? Heads are
• 28:50
Speaker 1: going to roll. People are going to be held accountable.
• 28:53
Speaker 1: Nobody has been held accountable. And even the lowly guard
• 28:56
Speaker 1: to quote unquote, fell asleep while they were watching Epstein.
• 29:00
Speaker 1: ended up getting off scot-free. So you didn't even get
• 29:03
Speaker 1: low-hanging fruit here. They're basically telling you to go get
• 29:07
Speaker 1: effed as the public. You're never going to get any information.
• 29:11
Speaker 1: And if you ask about what happened here, we're going
• 29:13
Speaker 1: to have our lapdogs over at NPR call you a
• 29:16
Speaker 1: conspiracy theorist. It's basically what's going on. And the fact
• 29:20
Speaker 1: that anyone would believe Bill Barr is just beyond me.
• 29:24
Speaker 1: I remember having this conversation with conservative friends when Bill
• 29:28
Speaker 1: Barr was brought on board by Donald Trump and people
• 29:32
Speaker 1: saying how great he was, how he's been around forever,
• 29:34
Speaker 1: like that's a good thing, and how he's part of,
• 29:37
Speaker 1: you know, the fabric of the justice system. as if
• 29:40
Speaker 1: that's a good thing again I equate it to one
• 29:44
Speaker 1: of those retread coaches in the NFL a Wade Phillips
• 29:47
Speaker 1: type you keep bringing this guy in expecting different results
• 29:51
Speaker 1: and then when shit goes south well who do you
• 29:53
Speaker 1: have to blame but yourself Epstein was placed on suicide
• 29:59
Speaker 1: watch on July 23rd after being found semi-conscious in his
• 30:03
Speaker 1: cell with marks on his neck in what prison officials
• 30:07
Speaker 1: described at the time as a failed suicide attempt. He
• 30:10
Speaker 1: was removed from suicide watch six days later on July
• 30:14
Speaker 1: 29th and returned to the segregated area of the prison
• 30:17
Speaker 1: with extra security known as the Special Housing Unit. why
• 30:22
Speaker 1: Epstein was removed from Suicide Watch, is a focus of
• 30:25
Speaker 1: the DOJ investigation. You know, it's crazy. Okay, that's a
• 30:29
Speaker 1: focus of the investigation, but not the fact that he
• 30:32
Speaker 1: was in the cell when the alleged suicide happened, or
• 30:34
Speaker 1: attempt happened, with Nicholas Tartaglione. That's not something you want
• 30:38
Speaker 1: to investigate? How old, uh, big muscle... Ape Gorilla guy
• 30:42
Speaker 1: got into the jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein? We're just
• 30:45
Speaker 1: going to ignore that fact? And that's why for the
• 30:47
Speaker 1: last few days we've been hammering home the point that
• 30:50
Speaker 1: nobody has answered the question of why Epstein was in
• 30:52
Speaker 1: the cell with Tartaglione in the first place. While officials
• 30:58
Speaker 1: from the department's Bureau of Prisons, which supervises the MCC
• 31:02
Speaker 1: and other federal prisons, have said little about Epstein's death,
• 31:06
Speaker 1: other than to claim that Epstein hanged himself, Officials told
• 31:09
Speaker 1: me Sunday that the prison psychological team had evaluated Epstein
• 31:13
Speaker 1: on a daily basis after his alleged initial suicide attempt
• 31:17
Speaker 1: and had found him to be no risk to himself
• 31:19
Speaker 1: or to others. And you see, these are the little
• 31:22
Speaker 1: facts that we seem to overlook in the legacy media
• 31:27
Speaker 1: and with their official narrative. At no point did Epstein
• 31:31
Speaker 1: seem suicidal to anybody that was around him. Psychologists, his lawyers,
• 31:36
Speaker 1: or the people that were visiting him on a regular basis.
• 31:39
Speaker 1: So it's kind of a big stretch to say to me, well,
• 31:43
Speaker 1: the guy's obviously suicidal. He tried to kill himself the
• 31:46
Speaker 1: first time when there's no proof that that even occurred.
• 31:50
Speaker 1: So what you're asking me to do is believe the
• 31:53
Speaker 1: official narrative. And I have a hard time believing people
• 31:57
Speaker 1: that are unbelievable. So whatever other people want to do,
• 32:01
Speaker 1: that's fine. I'm not telling anyone else how they should
• 32:04
Speaker 1: think or what they should think about what went down here.
• 32:08
Speaker 1: I'm just pointing out that the official narrative has as
• 32:11
Speaker 1: many holes in it as a thing of Swiss cheese.
• 32:15
Speaker 1: But it's a big conspiracy theory to even point that out.
• 32:20
Speaker 1: Officials said that Epstein had met for many hours each
• 32:22
Speaker 1: day with his legal team and that both he and
• 32:26
Speaker 1: his lawyers had repeatedly assured the prison that he did
• 32:30
Speaker 1: not want to kill himself and had asked MCC to
• 32:33
Speaker 1: remove him from the suicide watch. Now, to play devil's advocate,
• 32:37
Speaker 1: that could have easily been a scheme by him saying, hey, look,
• 32:40
Speaker 1: I'm not suicidal. I don't have any desire to kill
• 32:43
Speaker 1: myself when he really does. And he was doing this
• 32:47
Speaker 1: all as a ruse so that he'd be off of
• 32:49
Speaker 1: suicide watch. It's plausible. It is possible. But unless there's
• 32:55
Speaker 1: some evidence that proves that, I'm not going to just
• 32:58
Speaker 1: bite on what the officials are telling us. The prison
• 33:05
Speaker 1: has yet to comment on whether prison officials believe that
• 33:08
Speaker 1: the initial July 23rd incident that landed Epstein on the
• 33:11
Speaker 1: suicide watch was, in fact, a genuine attempt to end
• 33:15
Speaker 1: his life. I do not think it was. Honestly, at
• 33:19
Speaker 1: this point, I am convinced that it was Nicholas Tartaglione
• 33:23
Speaker 1: who roughed him up. I truly believe that. Finally, officials said,
• 33:28
Speaker 1: at least one member of Epstein's legal team was with
• 33:31
Speaker 1: him until 6.30 p.m. on the Friday evening before his death.
• 33:35
Speaker 1: None of his legal team, Reid Weingarten, Marty Weinberg, Michael
• 33:40
Speaker 1: Miller or Mark Furnitch would comment about their client's emotional
• 33:45
Speaker 1: and mental state the night before his death and during
• 33:48
Speaker 1: the last six days of his incarceration. Now it's come
• 33:52
Speaker 1: out after the fact that none of these people thought
• 33:55
Speaker 1: that Jeffrey Epstein was suicidal. Nobody that he was talking to.
• 34:01
Speaker 1: Officials said that under the prison's rules and procedures, Epstein
• 34:04
Speaker 1: was supposed to be given a cellmate and monitored by
• 34:07
Speaker 1: prison guards every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day after
• 34:11
Speaker 1: being removed from suicide watch. So he had no cellmate
• 34:15
Speaker 1: and nobody was monitoring him. Nobody came and checked on him.
• 34:18
Speaker 1: So is it the perfect storm or was this all
• 34:22
Speaker 1: set up for Jeffrey Epstein to do what he did?
• 34:25
Speaker 1: And that's something we have to keep in mind, too.
• 34:28
Speaker 1: You know, were all of the factors put into place
• 34:31
Speaker 1: so that Epstein could take care of himself. Tartaglione sent
• 34:36
Speaker 1: in there to send a message. Again, this is all speculation.
• 34:39
Speaker 1: Just like what everybody else is talking about, by the way.
• 34:41
Speaker 1: Nobody knows what went on in that cell. Anybody who
• 34:44
Speaker 1: tells you with a surety that they do, well, they're
• 34:46
Speaker 1: lying to you. But for me, very easily, it could
• 34:51
Speaker 1: have been Tartaglione sent to that cell, sends Jeffrey Epstein
• 34:54
Speaker 1: a message by choking his ass and tells him, look,
• 34:57
Speaker 1: I'm going to kill you. Someone else is going to
• 34:59
Speaker 1: kill you if you don't kill yourself. That is very possible.
• 35:03
Speaker 1: That is a scenario that could have played out. And frankly,
• 35:06
Speaker 1: I think is one of the more likelier scenarios to
• 35:09
Speaker 1: have played out. But the fact is, we do not know.
• 35:15
Speaker 1: Prison experts believe that having a cellmate helps deter suicide.
• 35:19
Speaker 1: Neither officials nor Epstein's legal team would comment on whether
• 35:22
Speaker 1: those procedures were followed, but at least one official familiar
• 35:26
Speaker 1: with the episode said that they were not. None of
• 35:28
Speaker 1: them were followed. None of the regulations in prison or
• 35:32
Speaker 1: the steps required when something happens when someone dies were followed.
• 35:37
Speaker 1: The jail cell wasn't treated as a crime scene. There
• 35:39
Speaker 1: was no body camera footage of them going into the
• 35:41
Speaker 1: jail cell. All of it was a disaster. Now, I
• 35:45
Speaker 1: know people out there, they'll say, oh, it's just a
• 35:47
Speaker 1: systemic error. You know, everything's just broken. Well, if that
• 35:50
Speaker 1: is the take that you have on it, then are
• 35:53
Speaker 1: you just okay with it staying the way it is?
• 35:56
Speaker 1: Because nothing has been done to fix it. So if
• 35:58
Speaker 1: you're not going crazy that it's broken, then you must
• 36:01
Speaker 1: be okay that it is the way it is. Epstein
• 36:07
Speaker 1: had a cellmate before his initial alleged suicide attempt, but
• 36:10
Speaker 1: cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione, a former police officer facing murder charges,
• 36:15
Speaker 1: was not returned to share a cell with him after
• 36:18
Speaker 1: Epstein was placed on watch and then removed from the list,
• 36:21
Speaker 1: one official said. That official said that Epstein was alone
• 36:24
Speaker 1: in his cell for some time before his death, again,
• 36:28
Speaker 1: in violation of the prison's rules. They don't even talk
• 36:31
Speaker 1: about Tartaglione roughing Epstein up here. That is exactly what
• 36:34
Speaker 1: Epstein said. Remember, Nicholas Tartaglione roughed me up. If he
• 36:38
Speaker 1: wanted to, you know, the suicide watch situation, why would
• 36:42
Speaker 1: he say that? So again, it just doesn't make sense.
• 36:46
Speaker 1: And there are so many holes in the official narrative
• 36:49
Speaker 1: that questions have to be asked. If confirmed, such disclosures
• 36:54
Speaker 1: about what appear to be failures in Epstein's detention at
• 36:57
Speaker 1: MCC can only intensify questions and suspicions about his death.
• 37:02
Speaker 1: This facility is known for being deeply troubled, one official said,
• 37:06
Speaker 1: though others cautioned that the DOJ and the prison's own
• 37:09
Speaker 1: investigations were in its initial stages and that facts could
• 37:13
Speaker 1: change as the inquiry progressed, or they could get stashed
• 37:16
Speaker 1: if it's something that the DOJ doesn't like, something that's
• 37:19
Speaker 1: going to embarrass the DOJ. Imagine if the people of
• 37:22
Speaker 1: America had the ability to audit the DOJ the way
• 37:26
Speaker 1: the IRS can audit you. Boy, oh boy, that would
• 37:30
Speaker 1: change things, wouldn't it? My own relatively small brush with
• 37:35
Speaker 1: America's justice system was profoundly different from Epstein's. Unlike him,
• 37:40
Speaker 1: I was jailed voluntarily. Then a journalist with the New
• 37:43
Speaker 1: York Times, I chose to spend three months at Alexandria
• 37:47
Speaker 1: Detention Center near Washington in 2005 rather than identify my
• 37:51
Speaker 1: sources to an overzealous prosecutor pursuing the leaking of classified information.
• 37:57
Speaker 1: So they'll go after journalists, right? No problem. but they
• 38:01
Speaker 1: have a big problem going after their friends in the
• 38:03
Speaker 1: banking system. Tells you everything you need to know. Epstein,
• 38:08
Speaker 1: having escaped real incarceration for years since his first conviction
• 38:12
Speaker 1: in Florida in 2008 on state charges of solicitation of
• 38:16
Speaker 1: prostitution from a minor, had no choice but jail. After
• 38:20
Speaker 1: his initial conviction in Florida, however, he brokered a much-criticized
• 38:24
Speaker 1: deal that enabled him to avoid federal charges and spend
• 38:28
Speaker 1: only 13 months behind bars. Even then, he was permitted
• 38:32
Speaker 1: to leave jail to work at his office for up
• 38:35
Speaker 1: to 12 hours a day, six days a week, while
• 38:37
Speaker 1: he was still abusing people, by the way. According to
• 38:40
Speaker 1: all reports and all accounts, he was still abusing people.
• 38:43
Speaker 1: And why did the officer in Palm Beach that was
• 38:45
Speaker 1: assigned to him destroy a bunch of records? I don't
• 38:48
Speaker 1: want to digress too far here, but come on, man.
• 38:53
Speaker 1: Epstein was charged with new federal crimes on July 6th.
• 38:57
Speaker 1: after he returned from overseas and was arrested at Teterboro Airport.
• 39:01
Speaker 1: Federal District Court Judge Richard Berman deemed him a flight risk,
• 39:05
Speaker 1: given his vast wealth, many residences, and high-powered social connections,
• 39:10
Speaker 1: amongst them President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Prince
• 39:14
Speaker 1: Andrew of Britain, and Leslie H. Wexner, the retail billionaire,
• 39:19
Speaker 1: and denied him bail. Epstein was sent to await trial
• 39:22
Speaker 1: at MCC. And he should have been. Let's not make
• 39:26
Speaker 1: pretend he shouldn't have been there. That's exactly where he
• 39:28
Speaker 1: should have been. Waiting for... for trial where it was
• 39:31
Speaker 1: up to the do nothing prison guards and the shitty
• 39:34
Speaker 1: administration to make sure that this man faced justice and
• 39:37
Speaker 1: that didn't happen and still no consequences for the people
• 39:41
Speaker 1: involved Unlike ADC, a Virginia state-run jail, MCC is one
• 39:48
Speaker 1: of two federal pretrial facilities in New York City, this
• 39:52
Speaker 1: one in downtown Manhattan, two blocks from City Hall. Known
• 39:56
Speaker 1: as Manhattan's Guantanamo for holding prisoners charged with terrorist crimes,
• 40:00
Speaker 1: it has a poor reputation. In an article published by
• 40:03
Speaker 1: the Gothamist last year, Gene Theo Harris, a Brooklyn College
• 40:08
Speaker 1: political science professor who has written extensively about the conditions
• 40:12
Speaker 1: at MCC, called the facility an American gulag. She told
• 40:16
Speaker 1: the Gothamist, if I describe these conditions, filthy, freezing, no
• 40:21
Speaker 1: natural light, isolation so extreme that you're punished for speaking
• 40:25
Speaker 1: through the walls, absurd rules like prisoners not getting to
• 40:28
Speaker 1: see the newspapers unless they're 30 days old, secrecy so
• 40:32
Speaker 1: deep that people are force-fed, and lawyers can be punished
• 40:35
Speaker 1: for describing the conditions their clients are experiencing, You'd be
• 40:39
Speaker 1: forgiven for thinking that this was Iran or Russia. Look,
• 40:43
Speaker 1: the system is fucked. There is no doubt that it
• 40:45
Speaker 1: needs to be fixed. And there's a reason that they
• 40:48
Speaker 1: closed MCC. This place was an absolute dump. That said,
• 40:52
Speaker 1: it wasn't a place where a bunch of people were
• 40:54
Speaker 1: killing themselves. While both ADC and MCC are high-security detention
• 41:01
Speaker 1: facilities that hold high-profile prisoners, my own experience as inmate
• 41:06
Speaker 1: number 45570083 has led me to conclude that Epstein, inmate
• 41:09
Speaker 1: number 76318-054, should have lived to face his accusers, and
• 41:11
Speaker 1: that in a well-run prison, he would have. The ongoing
• 41:24
Speaker 1: investigation by the FBI, DOJ, Inspector General, and the prison
• 41:28
Speaker 1: itself will explore whether MCC is among the nation's worst-run
• 41:32
Speaker 1: federal pretrial facilities and or whether Epstein may have had
• 41:37
Speaker 1: some desire or unwanted help in ending his life and
• 41:41
Speaker 1: escaping his day in court. Now look, again, I'm not
• 41:45
Speaker 1: sitting out here telling you, oh yeah, he was definitely killed.
• 41:48
Speaker 1: I simply don't know, and I want answers. That is
• 41:52
Speaker 1: the root of all of it. I want answers, just
• 41:56
Speaker 1: like I know you do. I shun conspiracy theories, but
• 42:02
Speaker 1: based on the little that prison officials have said so
• 42:05
Speaker 1: far and what I know of life in jail, Epstein's
• 42:08
Speaker 1: death is deeply troubling. No one should die of unnatural
• 42:12
Speaker 1: causes in jail. In a well-managed facility, no one would.
• 42:16
Speaker 1: However lurid the charges against him and the perverse nature
• 42:19
Speaker 1: of his alleged crimes, the Epstein death behind bars should
• 42:22
Speaker 1: trouble every American. The investigation must not rest until what
• 42:27
Speaker 1: happened is revealed. Well, we know that's not the case,
• 42:32
Speaker 1: and we know that they say the investigation's ongoing. That
• 42:35
Speaker 1: way they don't have to give up any information. But
• 42:38
Speaker 1: what have we really seen from the investigators that really
• 42:41
Speaker 1: confirms the official narrative or their story of the official narrative?
• 42:46
  Speaker 1: I haven't seen any receipts. And I certainly haven't seen
• 42:49
Speaker 1: anything that makes me say to myself, you know what?
• 42:51
Speaker 1: This really has legs. And this is more likely than this.
• 42:55
Speaker 1: Because as of now, I am very, very agnostic about
• 42:59
Speaker 1: what went down in that jail and in that jail cell.
• 43:02
Speaker 1: And until we have more evidence one way or the other,
• 43:05
Speaker 1: this will continue to be my position. All right, folks,
• 43:08
Speaker 1: it's going to do it for this one. If you'd
