Christian channels out there, especially some of the popular

imagery and some of the artwork they have in their videos, some

So I've done artwork for cushions and yes, I have done

artwork for people of other beliefs as well as non beliefs.

I had no issue with that, providing that it wasn't some

kind of imagery that was blasphemous or something nasty

being done to Jesus Christ. So let me show you guys some

You'll hear about the Pied Piper and the rats that carried the

viruses because of unclean, unsanitary conditions and such,

So it has to do with a lot of environmental stuff, a lot of

destruction, death, war, you know, very, very angry, angry

forms of angry music, but I do like doing slow stuff too.

I like doing more chill. I've been known to do

industrial, techno, alternative music, slow rock, slow pop,

bubble gum stuff because I've worked with a lot of different

people and not everybody's got the same style.

Thrash metal, metal, black metal, Black Rock, classic rock.

I've even done shit that sounds like it was done in the 70s.

The original recording that sounded good, but it sounded

like it needed some punch to it. It was a kind of a dirty

recording. Plus, there's a spot in the song

wife pointed it out. When you get halfway through the

song, one of the guitars sound like it's picking up a little

bit of feedback, and it's got this extremely low frequency

noise that's going on in the background for about, I don't

know, 30 seconds during the solo.

Excuse me, I had coffee and what happened was is we didn't hear

it because it was such a low frequency.

And I know what people are saying.

I do. I use AI.

What I do is I kind of sketch out images of the idea that I'm

getting and all that. And sometimes I'll run it

through an AI and say, all right, I want this to be more

colorful or I want this to have a shade and a good amount of

time. The AI seems to do exactly what

I wanted to do. I just simply got to tell it.

For those that don't understand what I mean by tell it, if you

go into my videos just a video ago, you'll see me actually

having a conversation with an artificial intelligence.

I actually gave her a name. I call her Missus Lovingston.

And which I'm able to do is I can say, hey, like for instance,

if I put a track up and I don't like a noise like that weird

feedback we were talking about, I can tell the AI, I can say,

look, there's a weird feedback loop from the guitar.

Can you remove that? Now, musicians know this as

noise reduction. If you're using like Kool out of

Pro or Cakewalk or Sonar or something like that, you can

find the frequency and then you have to go through this editing

process where you tell it to remove any frequency that hits

that note. And then you can either select

the area or select the entire song and then tell it to remove
14:44
the profile that you have created of that frequency number

and remove it completely. Well, an AI is really good at

doing that as well. You always have to do is just

tell it instead of having to manually go through a bunch of

nonsense. One of the other cool things is

like for instance, if you're recording music and even though

my brother is an excellent guitar player and I'm, I'm

pretty damn good on the keyboard.

As you probably heard sometimes when you're going fast or you're

doing a melody and stuff or you're distracted by something

or your fingers locked up. When you're an older person, you

might hit a wrong note, but you did a lot of music and you don't

want to have to go through a bunch of nonsense.

Well, there's two ways you can do this.

You can either go into your editing program like Cool Edit

Pro 2.0 and you can remove that bad note, but it'll throw off

the timing a little bit unless you have like a doll or some

kind of plug in where you can pitch bend it to fit what you

actually planned on doing. But what if it's a note that you

did not plan on doing? The no amount of pitch bending

is going to help. So you can tell the AI, you can

say, look, I fucked up on this node here.

You know, I, I hit a bad note and I want that removed.

But I want you to replace it with let's say like a low string

sound so it'll fade in and sound natural when people are

listening. Because if you just cut it right

out, there's going to be that empty little space of silence

and the music's going to go down, down, down, and it'll be

weird. It'll throw people off.

You don't want that to happen. Here's something I've been

working on recently. We haven't put vocals to it yet,

Audacity is actually pretty damn basic compared to call it a pro.

Cool had a cool out of Pro has a really, really nice, stylish

type of multi track sequencer. And for those that don't know

what that is, this program has something like that, but it

can't handle an overload of stuff.

Cool out of Pro is a lot more easier, it's a lot more

simplified and all that. But a multi track sequencer?

Let's say you want to record a guitar bet.

Well, obviously later you're going to say to yourself, well,

how am I supposed to record the drum into it and be able to

listen to the guitar and where it's going or the keyboard or

what's happening? Well, the multitrack sequencer

creates another slot right underneath and then you can

record a drum right along with it and do whatever you want.

You can put effects on any one of the OR layers onto any one of

the tracks. And sometimes I end up when

using Collider Pro, sometimes I could end up with almost 25 to

50 type of tracks. And the reason why is because

I'm really heavy into doing sound effects.

I was heavily inspired by albums like Countdown to Extinction and

Pink Floyd and also some of Michael Jackson's old work where

he would put weird effects here and there are weird voices or

noises are in my old song Father.

I use recordings of pastures as well as some religious people in

chat rooms in order to basically mix and paste it into the well,

the mix and to the WAV file. And there's that, there is that.

So this is one of the things I enjoy doing.

As far as AII understand for some people out there, some of

you've never dealt with AI software, some of you have went

to websites where it like generates some crap for you in a

matter of moments. That's not what we're doing.

If you actually listen to the music, you can actually hear the

emotion and the vocalist, you can actually hear changes in the

arrangement. The song can go from heavy metal

to industrial, as where if you went to some kind of website or

whatever and try to produce something, you have absolutely

no control over the way a song is going to sound or where it's

going to go. So it's best you can work with

AI if you want to. You can try to generate some

crap and hope hopefully you win the jackpot in that process.

But it's much better just to perform the music, record it,

and then you run the stuff through the AI and you can add

sound effects through it and all that or clean things up if you

want to. But that's how it's done pretty

much. You can see the actual tracks

sitting right there. If you were to go to some kind

of AAI music site, why should I say A, A, are you Alcoholics?

If you go to some AI site, you're not going to be able to

see the wave. You're not going to be able to

separately screw around with all this kind of stuff.

You just won't. For me though, I can actually,

you know, put something up there like a track, a guitar or a

drum, and then tell the AI to say, all right, I want to cause

an echo or a reverb. I want to bring up the kick drum

and all that. But manually you could just

simply go into equalizer and turn all that stuff up.

The majority of the work is just performing it and getting it the

way you want to. But it is nice to have a like AI

tool around where you can see what it will do with it, if it

can clean it up better than what you're doing or find something

that you may have missed. That's that's pretty convenient.

Yeah, I do think that as time goes by, I do think that we're

we're going to see the technology get out there more.

There's a lot of great advanced technology nowadays.

But people nowadays, especially musicians, I've discovered that

a lot of the musicians I work with, they don't have a clue

what I'm talking about. They're like old school.

They're like, OK, I, I plug in my shit and then after they

record it, they stand over me like a damn Raven or crow

wondering what are you doing to it, what's happening, you know?

And then I say, well, look, I'm pumping it up.

I'm making sound more powerful. And I love the look on people's

faces whenever you pump up the music and stuff way harder than

what they had it. And they're like, damn, I sound

like Metallica. I sound like Megadeth now.

Well, that's the whole point of production and recording

engineering. You can't just get a a shitty

tape recorder and start blasting some noise and expect it to

sound good. You got to have somebody who

brings up your highs and lows or you're going to it's going to

sound like garbage. That's the way it is.

So doesn't matter how expensive your guitar is, it doesn't

matter how good you play if you don't have good recording

engineering and production and someone who shares a vision with

you or understands the direction where you're going.

Because you got to kind of be intuitive.

If you're into recording engineering, you have to care

about what it is the musicians are wanting.

If somebody comes in and they say they want to do rap music or

gangster rap or hip hop, you know damn well they're most

likely going to want the bass. They want to hear that shit

bumping. They want their 10 inch rims to

be going, you know, and if you got a guitar player, they're

probably going to want to sound like they're playing to a Pearl

or a Jackson or something vintage, you know, something

rocking. And alternative bands usually

like this kind of weird D drop, strange chords and stuff for out

of tune type of sound. So something to think about.
