- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's Almost Faus podcast. We are here today with breaking news, Yes,
- 0:10Speaker 2: breaking news. We found out about this news at about
- 0:13Speaker 2: eleven o'clock Eastern time last night and decided to jump
- 0:16Speaker 2: on first thing this morning to discuss some updates that
- 0:20Speaker 2: we have found out regarding Paradise and also like what
- 0:25Speaker 2: was happening with the Bachelorette season. Obviously it's been announced
- 0:28Speaker 2: that it's not happening now, but what led up to
- 0:31Speaker 2: this moment. So we're here to discuss all the insider
- 0:34Speaker 2: secrets that we have gathered along with making some assumptions
- 0:38Speaker 2: that actually to date, Ashley and I'm going to sound
- 0:42Speaker 2: like our current president when I say this, we've been
- 0:46Speaker 2: very right on our assumptions. Like we're people are talking
- 0:50Speaker 2: about us and saying like, actually have bet are making
- 0:53Speaker 2: really good assumptions these days.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, we're so good at what we do. Of course,
- 0:59Speaker 3: what we did.
- 1:02Speaker 4: We could exclusively reveal some of the planning of the
- 1:04Speaker 4: dates that were happening right up until the show was canceled.
- 1:07Speaker 4: So our sources are saying that about seventy five percent
- 1:11Speaker 4: of the dates were planned, Like there were scouting locations
- 1:13Speaker 4: in Europe. We're hearing that Greece and Portugal were in
- 1:17Speaker 4: the mix, and there was going to be an.
- 1:20Speaker 3: iHeart podcast related date.
- 1:23Speaker 4: The hope was apparently that we Ben and I were
- 1:26Speaker 4: going to be part of a date with a lot
- 1:28Speaker 4: of the other iHeart hosts like Jenna Kramer, Cheryl Burke,
- 1:32Speaker 4: Jenny Garth, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkwitz.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Just to name a few.
- 1:38Speaker 4: And the date was not like fully set in stone yet,
- 1:40Speaker 4: but the planning process was in full swing with one
- 1:42Speaker 4: of our producers, and there was going to be a
- 1:45Speaker 4: winner on this day. It was going to be a
- 1:46Speaker 4: competition date and the winner was going to go with
- 1:49Speaker 4: the bachelorette to the iHeartRadio Music Awards and walk the carpet.
- 1:52Speaker 4: March seventeenth is when the awards was supposed to be.
- 1:56Speaker 4: And then we found out that this was just not
- 1:58Speaker 4: going to happen. So it was way more shocking than
- 2:01Speaker 4: something to the production than I think we all assumed.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Okay, so let's do our analytical receptions diagnosis of what
- 2:15Speaker 2: we know so far. So it wasn't the planning process,
- 2:18Speaker 2: So this decision was not made a year ago. It
- 2:22Speaker 2: was not made post even Gen season. This decision was
- 2:25Speaker 2: made in a moment's time, based on something that happened.
- 2:30Speaker 2: We'll get more into that here in a little bit.
- 2:33Speaker 2: This also, to me, Ashley, does not seem like a
- 2:37Speaker 2: money decision that this decision was not. I mean, money
- 2:40Speaker 2: always is involved, right If they thought they were going
- 2:43Speaker 2: to make a buku amount of bucks having this season air,
- 2:48Speaker 2: they would have found a way for it to air.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But it doesn't seem like to me this was the
- 2:53Speaker 2: reason that the show didn't happen because and I say
- 2:57Speaker 2: this because they weren't just now like after Gin season
- 3:01Speaker 2: and seeing the ratings and kind of understanding how you know,
- 3:05Speaker 2: the Bachelorette and The Bachelor were being viewed. They didn't
- 3:09Speaker 2: just decide, hey, let's stick in LA like, let's do
- 3:12Speaker 2: an LA season. Let's make it as cheap as possible. Yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 2: let's not travel, let's do some like maybe like us
- 3:20Speaker 2: stuff where we can drive or like quick easy flights.
- 3:24Speaker 2: They were still considering an international experience. So money, to
- 3:28Speaker 2: me doesn't seem like the culprit. And so now we
- 3:33Speaker 2: have to ask ourselves the question, what did happen? We
- 3:38Speaker 2: have a little bit of information on from our inside
- 3:41Speaker 2: source on possibly what did happen Ashley, Let's talk about
- 3:47Speaker 2: some of the people they were considering to be the
- 3:49Speaker 2: lead of this next season.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Okay, so there are two girls from Grand season that
- 3:53Speaker 4: we're being considered. But here are the juicy there's the
- 3:56Speaker 4: juicy news. We're pretty certain that Maria Maria from Joey's
- 4:00Speaker 4: season was a front runner, as we thought that she
- 4:02Speaker 4: was a front runner to be the Bachelorette during gen season.
- 4:07Speaker 4: The source says that they don't know exactly what happened,
- 4:09Speaker 4: but they couldn't make Maria happen, and that's why the
- 4:13Speaker 4: show didn't get picked up because they just didn't think
- 4:17Speaker 4: that they had a I'm assuming that they didn't think
- 4:20Speaker 4: they had a strong enough lead that was going to
- 4:22Speaker 4: get enough ratings. They also say that The Bachelor didn't
- 4:25Speaker 4: get picked up because the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,
- 4:29Speaker 4: the show that they sometimes have play after the Bachelorette.
- 4:34Speaker 3: It seems like they may have wanted that more.
- 4:39Speaker 2: What do you mean wanted it?
- 4:41Speaker 3: More like if they couldn't.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Get the Bachelorette, they wanted they were like, this is
- 4:44Speaker 4: probably gonna be better for the time slot or perform
- 4:47Speaker 4: better for the time slot.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So let's pause here. The Secret Life of Mormon Wives
- 4:52Speaker 2: is now what we assume going to hold a prime
- 4:56Speaker 2: time time slot on ABC, which is owned by Disney
- 5:01Speaker 2: on Monday nights instead of The Bachelorette.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yes, and again it is an assumption that it's being
- 5:07Speaker 4: replaced with the Bachelorette because it's the same demographic, same
- 5:11Speaker 4: type of age group wants to watch this show as
- 5:14Speaker 4: a bachelorette, and they couldn't make the Bachelorette the person
- 5:17Speaker 4: they wanted work. Let's also say that our sources were
- 5:23Speaker 4: saying that they were thinking about Alchill giving Rachel Rekia
- 5:26Speaker 4: a redo. They said that her name was floated around.
- 5:30Speaker 4: But there is a reason that she couldn't do it,
- 5:33Speaker 4: and we can't reveal that at real time.
- 5:36Speaker 2: But we do know the reason.
- 5:37Speaker 3: We do.
- 5:38Speaker 4: I was gonna say we personally do, and we will
- 5:41Speaker 4: tell you soon enough. But production and fans love Rachel,
- 5:45Speaker 4: and I would have loved to see Rachel have her
- 5:47Speaker 4: own season. She's so likable. I really really love that girl.
- 5:52Speaker 4: But there's something else exciting that's happening for her.
- 5:56Speaker 2: So okay, what we know so far is Maria Rachel too.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Girls from Grand Season were being considered for the lead
- 6:02Speaker 2: of The Bachelorette. It sounds like from our source that
- 6:07Speaker 2: Maria was the front runner, that it felt like the
- 6:10Speaker 2: powers that be really wanted Maria to be the lead
- 6:14Speaker 2: of this season. And it almost seems to me, based
- 6:17Speaker 2: on the information we have, that they couldn't make it
- 6:20Speaker 2: work with Maria for whatever reason that was, and as
- 6:23Speaker 2: a result, they had to pull the plug on the
- 6:27Speaker 2: show because somebody that had a lot of influence over
- 6:31Speaker 2: the show was fairly stuck on this Maria storyline and said,
- 6:36Speaker 2: if we're not going to do Maria, it's not worth doing.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Maybe we could say stubborn on the Maria thing, like
- 6:42Speaker 4: if you're not having Maria, you're not having anyone.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And it sounds like that, I mean, based on the
- 6:47Speaker 2: information we have, that seems like the reason that this
- 6:49Speaker 2: season maybe isn't happening because the ratings have not been
- 6:53Speaker 2: good enough. Even though I think there has been great seasons,
- 6:57Speaker 2: I still go back to I think the show took
- 6:59Speaker 2: a massive hit with the men that were cast for
- 7:03Speaker 2: Gen's season. I think Jen did a great job. I
- 7:06Speaker 2: think we've seen Gen really thrive outside of the role
- 7:09Speaker 2: of the Bachelorette, but the men on her season I
- 7:12Speaker 2: think really hurt the show. And because the show decided
- 7:16Speaker 2: to kind of do the don't ask, don't tell, we're
- 7:18Speaker 2: not going to really talk about it strategy. I think
- 7:21Speaker 2: the show is in a really tough place. I don't
- 7:23Speaker 2: believe it's going away, though I will say that I
- 7:26Speaker 2: don't think the show is gone forever.
- 7:29Speaker 4: And neither do the people at ABC. They say that
- 7:32Speaker 4: they think that the show will come back. They get
- 7:33Speaker 4: paradised last year, and now it's back and they're going
- 7:35Speaker 4: to just do the same thing.
- 7:36Speaker 3: With Bachelorette, just like a little reboot time.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Now. They're also saying that if they were going to
- 7:51Speaker 4: do the Bachelorette, they were going to bring some familiar
- 7:54Speaker 4: faces to the cast, Like we're hearing Sam from gen
- 7:59Speaker 4: Z and Sam Well, Sam, Oh, Sam, Which one was
- 8:04Speaker 4: the one that was like, oh, like attractive at first
- 8:07Speaker 4: but then then like turned There was a couple Sam Sam,
- 8:12Speaker 4: but the only one I really remember was the one
- 8:15Speaker 4: that was like, Oh, he's suave and then it was like, oh,
- 8:18Speaker 4: he's like kind of ugh.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, So we're actually I'm assuming we're talking about that Sam.
- 8:23Speaker 2: What an interesting choice to bring him back. Maybe it
- 8:25Speaker 2: is a little bit of a redemption moment, because we
- 8:27Speaker 2: do remember him having the conflicts with Devin and kind
- 8:30Speaker 2: of people picking Devin's side, and then obviously that came out.
- 8:34Speaker 2: So maybe they felt like Sam got a raw into
- 8:37Speaker 2: the deal because he was expressing something that now all
- 8:42Speaker 2: of us seemed to agree with.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Good thinking, Wow, we were so team Devin, or at
- 8:49Speaker 4: least I was.
- 8:50Speaker 3: We all were okay, yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Until the end, and now we're not.
- 8:55Speaker 4: All right now what I have heard about Maria and Okay,
- 9:02Speaker 4: I pause here because I just I have a hard
- 9:07Speaker 4: time believing that anyone wouldn't want the role if being
- 9:11Speaker 4: asked to be the lead of this show, I can't believe.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Maybe it's just from my own like I could never
- 9:18Speaker 4: imagine turning on the show, but I have a hard
- 9:22Speaker 4: time believing that anybody would. I know that Daisy truly
- 9:26Speaker 4: did because Daisy one really felt like she didn't have
- 9:29Speaker 4: the personality for it, and I can see that. But
- 9:33Speaker 4: also majorly Daisy was rekindling things with her former flame
- 9:39Speaker 4: now Maria, like she has said over the past year,
- 9:45Speaker 4: that she was asked to do the show and then
- 9:47Speaker 4: she decided not to do it. I heard another reason.
- 9:52Speaker 4: I've heard from people close to production that they did
- 10:00Speaker 4: want her to be the Bachelorette. They were like having
- 10:02Speaker 4: her do like lots of filming, and then in the
- 10:04Speaker 4: midst of this filming, they're basically like, this girl is
- 10:08Speaker 4: too difficult to work with. We can't do an entire
- 10:10Speaker 4: season with her. It'll be a wreck. And now they're
- 10:14Speaker 4: floating the idea. Then they were floating the idea of
- 10:16Speaker 4: Maria again and again. Maria, from our source, is saying
- 10:22Speaker 4: she wasn't willing to do it. Do you believe that
- 10:25Speaker 4: Maria wouldn't want to be the Bachelorette?
- 10:27Speaker 2: No, I mean I think there would be it matter
- 10:29Speaker 2: what life's circumstances were going on. You know, obviously with Daisy,
- 10:32Speaker 2: you meant brought it up, she wasn't confident taking the
- 10:35Speaker 2: role and she was falling in love. It matters kind
- 10:38Speaker 2: of what Maria's dating life is like and what her
- 10:40Speaker 2: personal life looks like now outside the show. And honestly,
- 10:43Speaker 2: I'm not an expert in that. I really don't know.
- 10:45Speaker 2: So I would be surprised if somebody was single. I'd
- 10:48Speaker 2: be surprised if somebody had agreed to go on the
- 10:52Speaker 2: other show that they wouldn't be at least intrigued to
- 10:56Speaker 2: go on and become the lead, because if you really
- 11:00Speaker 2: are someone looking for love or someone looking to promote
- 11:04Speaker 2: the fact to the world that you're looking for love,
- 11:07Speaker 2: being the lead is a really great opportunity for that.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Now the show knows Maria. She showed her personality through
- 11:14Speaker 2: that first show that she was on. It's why people
- 11:16Speaker 2: fell in love with her, It's why she is somebody
- 11:20Speaker 2: we know and talk about to this day. The show
- 11:22Speaker 2: had to know. This is why I have a hard
- 11:24Speaker 2: time with it who she is and who she was,
- 11:26Speaker 2: and how she would be to work with. And if
- 11:28Speaker 2: they wanted that fiery season, if they wanted that mix
- 11:32Speaker 2: between a kateln Bristow kind of season where somebody's going
- 11:35Speaker 2: to say what they're thinking, they're going to do what
- 11:37Speaker 2: they feel like, they're going to push back a little
- 11:40Speaker 2: bit against production, and it makes for a great watch,
- 11:45Speaker 2: then Maria would be a tremendous choice. It would shake
- 11:48Speaker 2: things up a lot, and I actually personally think she
- 11:51Speaker 2: would have been a great choice to watch on television
- 11:53Speaker 2: because it would be that raw, authentic moments of like
- 12:01Speaker 2: awkwardness type of season.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Well, we all know that they have some decision making
- 12:06Speaker 4: issues sometimes when it comes to the lead, and this
- 12:10Speaker 4: is no shade to any of the leads.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
- 12:12Speaker 4: I don't want it to be interpreted like that, but
- 12:14Speaker 4: I think we can all agree that there's been some
- 12:17Speaker 4: skeptical choices there. And then I also think that this
- 12:23Speaker 4: is no shade to Maria. I'm not saying like I
- 12:25Speaker 4: don't believe her. But at the same time, it would
- 12:29Speaker 4: be very unique to turn this down based on all
- 12:33Speaker 4: the other leads that I've known in the past and
- 12:35Speaker 4: their decision to take it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: It would be it'd be a very interesting decision and
- 12:39Speaker 2: we'd want to hear about it now. So we have
- 12:42Speaker 2: all this information now gathered up. We have multiple people
- 12:45Speaker 2: they're considering for leads. We have the decision to not
- 12:48Speaker 2: do The Bachelorette. We've both agreed that we think the
- 12:52Speaker 2: show will come back. And so if people are out
- 12:54Speaker 2: there stressing, like, hey, what am I going to do
- 12:55Speaker 2: on Monday nights? The Bachelorette was something I've always enjoyed.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I can't believe it's not going to be on my television.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I will say right now, my guess is the show
- 13:04Speaker 2: will come back and it will come back and in
- 13:08Speaker 2: a great way at some point soon. However, Yeah, we
- 13:13Speaker 2: don't have proof yet. I believe in the franchise. I do.
- 13:21Speaker 2: We don't have proof yet that they can pause a
- 13:23Speaker 2: show and reboot it successfully. We're gonna get that proof
- 13:28Speaker 2: and get that data this year with Paradise, because obviously
- 13:30Speaker 2: Paradise took a year off.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Well technically, Ben, they did pause The Bachelor at in
- 13:34Speaker 4: the two.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Thousands, totally different time.
- 13:38Speaker 3: It was one hundred thousand percent of time.
- 13:40Speaker 2: I don't think you can compare them. So we have
- 13:44Speaker 2: a whole new and we're going to switch over here
- 13:46Speaker 2: to talk about Paradise. We have a whole new production team,
- 13:50Speaker 2: a whole new staff that is going to take over Paradise.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It's going to be in a new location with a
- 13:55Speaker 2: new team producing it. It's been paused for a year.
- 13:59Speaker 2: We have some information on how Paradise is actually going
- 14:02Speaker 2: to look and work that really intrigues me and makes
- 14:05Speaker 2: me think all sorts of weird stuff. Do you think,
- 14:18Speaker 2: to start this conversation off, Paradise is going to reboot
- 14:21Speaker 2: in a successful way.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I do.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I think people are going to want to watch it
- 14:26Speaker 4: again after a longer break than they've had in a
- 14:29Speaker 4: very long time between the Grand Season and the airing
- 14:32Speaker 4: of Paradise. I believe the airing of Paradise will be
- 14:36Speaker 4: back to its regular scheduled programming. I believe it'll be
- 14:40Speaker 4: a summer show, which I believe it should be. I
- 14:43Speaker 4: think that the shooting schedule, especially with the cancelation of
- 14:46Speaker 4: The Bachelorette.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Or the pause in the Bachelorette, is going to be
- 14:49Speaker 3: earlier than it normally would be.
- 14:51Speaker 4: I believe that it's starting to film in May, that
- 14:56Speaker 4: they'll be wrapping up in the early parts of June.
- 15:00Speaker 4: And yeah, Ben is hearing that it's going to be
- 15:02Speaker 4: happening in Puerto Rico.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I have no idea. It can't be happening.
- 15:05Speaker 2: It's one of the two I've been hearing, the Dominican
- 15:08Speaker 2: Republic or Puerto Rico. And I can't conformfirm either way,
- 15:12Speaker 2: but that's what I'm hearing.
- 15:15Speaker 4: And then I do feel like the core Bachelor audience
- 15:17Speaker 4: they always say that they're most excited for Paradise, even
- 15:20Speaker 4: though so many people come up to me they're like, well, well,
- 15:23Speaker 4: Paradise is the most popular volved and them, I was like, actually,
- 15:25Speaker 4: technically no, like it always will have lower ratings of
- 15:28Speaker 4: the two main shows. It just seems that the fan
- 15:30Speaker 4: base gets more, like the core gets more excited for it.
- 15:36Speaker 4: We know that they're talking to people. I have people
- 15:39Speaker 4: who have who I know they've spoken to and excited
- 15:44Speaker 4: for how they compile this cast, especially that they have
- 15:47Speaker 4: more casts to choose from than they normally do, being
- 15:50Speaker 4: that they did skip that season. And we hear something crazy,
- 15:54Speaker 4: guys freaking crazy. We hear that the Goldens are going
- 15:59Speaker 4: to be part of it. In so now, I hope
- 16:01Speaker 4: that when we hear this, it's not them being like, oh,
- 16:03Speaker 4: they're going to host dates that would be lame. No,
- 16:06Speaker 4: please have the Goldens dating in paradise. I know that
- 16:10Speaker 4: not being ages when I say this, They're not going
- 16:12Speaker 4: to be able to handle the conditions that we had
- 16:14Speaker 4: that we live in, because as a twenty six year
- 16:16Speaker 4: old I had a hard time living in those conditions.
- 16:21Speaker 4: But I hope that they have like this little side
- 16:23Speaker 4: resort that the Goldens are mingling at, because that would
- 16:27Speaker 4: be prime TV.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Can I ask the question that everybody's thinking, Yeah, is
- 16:33Speaker 2: there a world in which a cast member from the
- 16:36Speaker 2: Bachelorette dates somebody from the Golden Show.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Well, yeah, that's going to happen if I do believe
- 16:46Speaker 4: if there's a world in which they do cohabitate, hilariousness,
- 16:51Speaker 4: there'll be a guy that goes after Nancy.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Is that hilarious? I mean for me, like, hey, love
- 16:57Speaker 2: is love is love, but like goodness, gracious.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Okay, So I think that a guy will probably make
- 17:04Speaker 4: a move on it on like a like a Nancy, Okay,
- 17:07Speaker 4: but I don't know that a Nancy would go and
- 17:09Speaker 4: make a move back.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Okay. Again, there's a side of me that would love
- 17:17Speaker 2: to watch that happen. There's also a side of me
- 17:19Speaker 2: that never wants to put anybody in the situation for
- 17:22Speaker 2: that to happen. I love these women, the Susans and
- 17:28Speaker 2: Nancy's and the Jones, like uh and like I just
- 17:35Speaker 2: the Kathy's of the world, Like I just love those women.
- 17:43Speaker 2: They have a sauce spot in my heart. I really
- 17:45Speaker 2: don't want to set them up for that. I don't
- 17:49Speaker 2: like it.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Oh, Ben, that's like so sweet.
- 17:51Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, give me TV. And You're like, no,
- 17:54Speaker 4: why because you think that they're gonna get like heartbroken
- 17:56Speaker 4: by it, like a thirty Oh no.
- 17:57Speaker 2: No, no, I think it's just gonna get weird.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Okay, well, I think that'll be a storyline, because they'll
- 18:03Speaker 4: want it to be a storyline, But I don't think
- 18:05Speaker 4: that'll be.
- 18:06Speaker 3: A main thing.
- 18:07Speaker 4: That'll be like an episode or two that's kind of
- 18:09Speaker 4: supposed to be funny.
- 18:11Speaker 2: A couple things I want to mention. Because the Bachelotte
- 18:14Speaker 2: didn't get picked up, all the audio video, all those
- 18:19Speaker 2: people that work behind the scenes are out of a job.
- 18:23Speaker 2: For those you know, three months that they've for the
- 18:25Speaker 2: last twenty years consisted consistently had a job, a really
- 18:30Speaker 2: tough position for them to be in, so we're thinking
- 18:33Speaker 2: about them. Those are people that I care about, that
- 18:34Speaker 2: you care about, that we know well, they you know,
- 18:38Speaker 2: have leaned heavy on having this job. And so there
- 18:42Speaker 2: are people that are going to hurt. Outside of the
- 18:44Speaker 2: viewership and the fans of the show, there are people
- 18:47Speaker 2: that are going to suffer because this show isn't getting
- 18:50Speaker 2: picked up. So we hope it comes back in a
- 18:53Speaker 2: lot of ways for so many reasons, but also because
- 18:56Speaker 2: of the people that work on the show.
- 18:58Speaker 4: And going off that, Ben, why do you think they've
- 19:02Speaker 4: hired a new crew completely.
- 19:04Speaker 2: For Paradise I actually, and again I'm making an assumption here.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I don't know if it was a new crew as
- 19:12Speaker 2: much as they've lost everybody else and they had to
- 19:14Speaker 2: fill some spots, you.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Mean, like some of our classics, they were just like,
- 19:21Speaker 4: I can't do Paradise.
- 19:23Speaker 2: They've moved on, They've done out of their things, They've
- 19:25Speaker 2: outgrown it, right, I mean, for so many years it
- 19:27Speaker 2: was the same face as the same people that were
- 19:30Speaker 2: doing Paradise, and I think those people now are taking
- 19:32Speaker 2: steps in their career outside of this show, and it
- 19:35Speaker 2: kind of has been a waterfall effect for many of
- 19:39Speaker 2: them happening at one time, and so they had to
- 19:41Speaker 2: find a way to get a team to produce this show.
- 19:45Speaker 4: I think it was like a clean slate, though I
- 19:47Speaker 4: don't even think it was an option for maybe lower
- 19:49Speaker 4: level producers to go and produce it.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Again, I have no idea. I have no clue on
- 19:56Speaker 2: what's happened, but I do know that it's an new
- 20:00Speaker 2: team and so it will be a new look and feel,
- 20:02Speaker 2: and that's exciting in a lot of ways, because it's
- 20:07Speaker 2: always nice to have new creative voices in there. And
- 20:09Speaker 2: it's also a little scary because we love the paradise
- 20:13Speaker 2: that we saw and that we were familiar with, and
- 20:16Speaker 2: things are going to be different and we don't know
- 20:19Speaker 2: how different. Right, is Jesse going to be the host
- 20:21Speaker 2: of it as well as going to be the bartender
- 20:23Speaker 2: of it? Are they going to have the same intro
- 20:26Speaker 2: music and the same intros that they've had since the beginning?
- 20:28Speaker 2: Like a what's the dates going to look?
- 20:30Speaker 1: Like?
- 20:31Speaker 2: What's the living condition? Is now going to be? Right?
- 20:33Speaker 2: There was an element of paradise that we love because
- 20:36Speaker 2: of the resort that they were in, was it looked
- 20:38Speaker 2: great on television, and we also knew behind the scenes
- 20:41Speaker 2: there were bugs crawling in the beds and I loved
- 20:43Speaker 2: that aspect we did.
- 20:45Speaker 4: We love that and we love that like they were
- 20:47Speaker 4: so hot and sweaty and uncomfortable and it added to
- 20:50Speaker 4: the chaos. I want to know, are they going to
- 20:52Speaker 4: be sleeping in air conditioned rooms now? Will there not
- 20:56Speaker 4: be crabs in the toilet? There's honestly part of me
- 21:01Speaker 4: romanticizes that I'm that I met Jared in a situation
- 21:05Speaker 4: like that, Like I kind of love that I had
- 21:08Speaker 4: to like tough it out in every way.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he sweated on him from the beginning, well, it's
- 21:15Speaker 2: it's gonna be interesting to watch. We are excited for
- 21:19Speaker 2: the future. But this is what we know about why
- 21:20Speaker 2: the Bachelorette isn't happening. It's the information we have on
- 21:24Speaker 2: who they were considering. Uh. And then also what we
- 21:27Speaker 2: know about the upcoming season of Paradise that Ashley believes
- 21:30Speaker 2: will be being filmed in May with again the Goldens
- 21:35Speaker 2: and the Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants on the beach at
- 21:39Speaker 2: the same time. To what capacity, we don't know, but
- 21:41Speaker 2: we do know that right now it's rumored they're both
- 21:43Speaker 2: going to be there.
- 21:44Speaker 4: And I do know one more thing to add before
- 21:46Speaker 4: we end this podcast. The change of location. I have
- 21:50Speaker 4: heard again everything is here, set here, guys, so can't
- 21:53Speaker 4: hold anything against us. I heard that the the ownership
- 21:58Speaker 4: of the resort, and you know, it's a resort all
- 22:00Speaker 4: year round. They close for a bachelor and for their
- 22:04Speaker 4: you know what's the creative department to come in and
- 22:08Speaker 4: transform it for probably about two months of the year. Well,
- 22:13Speaker 4: the owner was like, don't I don't these new head
- 22:18Speaker 4: producers not my fave. Don't love working with them. When
- 22:21Speaker 4: I signed onto the show, I was working with these people.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Now all these people are gone, and I don't like
- 22:27Speaker 4: this new these new phases, I don't. Yeah, so that's
- 22:31Speaker 4: why they've changed locations, because the resort didn't want to
- 22:35Speaker 4: work with production anymore.
- 22:39Speaker 2: So much happening in the Bachelor world. This is the
- 22:41Speaker 2: breaking news that we have for you today. I hope
- 22:44Speaker 2: you have a great weekend. I hope you enjoy your time.
- 22:48Speaker 2: It's cold across the country right now, so warm up,
- 22:51Speaker 2: listen to a podcast. It's freezing, listen to the podcast.
