Brent crude has surged from $102.30 this morning to over $109 as of publication, a jump of nearly $7 in twelve hours. The AAA national average for regular gas rose to $4.28, up from $4.22 Wednesday.
The surge is being driven by two fronts of the same widening war. Iran attacked ten ships near the Strait of Hormuz Wednesday, a day after US Central Command said it destroyed five Iranian oil tankers. Roughly 20% of world oil traffic moves through Hormuz. Several merchant vessels caught…
