- 0:04In this political coliseum, we slay the rising beast with the fateful sword of truth that transcends hypocrisy and censorship.
- 0:16It's time to unleash yourself from the tyrants of media propaganda on the America Out Loud Talk Radio Network.
- 0:26This is unleashed the political news hour.
- 0:32Welcome to Unleashed the Political News Hour.
- 0:35My name is Bruce Robertson, and I'll be your host for this episode.
- 0:40The um it's been an interesting week, folks.
- 0:45Uh again, it's been a very interesting week.
- 0:48I'm going to talk to you a little bit about as I open the show communists and kings.
- 0:56You know, we saw the No Kings demonstrations in full bloom this week, and uh the No Kings illusion is not really about kings or tyranny or dictators.
- 1:11Many of you may not be surprised by that.
- 1:14Across the country this weekend, the No Kings protests took place with demonstrators claiming that Donald Trump represents a threat to democracy.
- 1:27Some even going so far as to call him a tyrant.
- 1:32That's strong language.
- 1:33But it's worth asking a simple question.
- 1:37Is that what's actually going on here?
- 1:40Because if we're going to use words like king and tyrant, we should all be very clear about what they mean.
- 1:50A tyrant is someone who operates above the law, someone who is unchecked, unaccountable, and free to rule by personal authority or cult of personality.
- 2:04That idea has been debated for centuries.
- 2:08In 1644, Samuel Rutherford wrote Lex Rex, which is Latin for the law is king.
- 2:18It was a direct challenge to the prevailing idea in Europe and elsewhere at the time that rulers and monarchs themselves are above the law.
- 2:29In fact, that they are the law.
- 2:34Rutherford argued exactly the opposite that no leader stands above the law, and ultimately all authority is only under God.
- 2:45Now that principle didn't just stay in theology.
- 2:49It actually helped shape systems like ours in the United States.
- 2:54The United States is not a monarchy.
- 2:59But it's not a pure democracy either.
- 3:02America's founding fathers actually debated the idea of a monarchy or of crowning a king long ago.
- 3:11They wanted George Washington to be king.
- 3:15They thought maybe they would have him be king, and they debated it and they rejected the idea.
- 3:21And you can look that up.
- 3:22It's in writing.
- 3:24It's a constitutional republic that we have in which the Constitution stands above every president.
- 3:33And stands above the legislature.
- 3:35It stands above every power in this country, whether they're enumerated powers or any directed powers that government has.
- 3:47Power is divided into three branches in this country, precisely so that one no one person can rule unchecked.
- 3:58Courts block actions, policies get overturned, authority is restrained.
- 4:05That system is still in place in the United States.
- 4:11Which raises the question.
- 4:13If Donald Trump is truly acting like a king, where is the unchecked power?
- 4:20Where is the absence of accountability?
- 4:24The reality is that much of what's being labeled tyranny today is simply a policy disagreement by one side, dressed up in highly extreme language.
- 4:38And that's an important distinction.
- 4:40Because when we look at recent history, we can find plenty of examples where government power expanded in far more sweeping ways, with far less resistance.
- 4:53Not too long ago, during COVID 19.
- 4:56Entire states were effectively shut down.
- 4:59People were told that they could not work, that they could not gather, and that in some cases they could not even visit their sick and dying loved ones.
- 5:09I know for myself, my parents were both in the hospital with COVID.
- 5:13They could not even see each other, and both of them had COVID.
- 5:17Churches were restricted.
- 5:20Public spaces were closed.
- 5:22Churches were even closed.
- 5:25Daily life was controlled in ways that few Americans had ever experienced.
- 5:30And all of this was cheered on by the left.
- 5:36In fact, they lined up to get their little masks.
- 5:38They sat in their cars alone wearing a mask driving.
- 5:42They lined up six feet apart wherever they had to line up.
- 5:47I mean, they all dutifully lined up for the vaccine.
- 5:52At the same time, some of the Democratic leaders enforcing those rules faced criticism for not consistently following them.
- 6:04Gavin Newsom drew national attention.
- 6:06The governor of California for attending a very high-end dinner at French Laundry in San and in Napa Valley, uh while strict restrictions were in place for California residents.
- 6:24Gretchen Whitmer, the governor of Michigan Democrat, faced scrutiny over similar concerns when she went out on her yacht in Lake Michigan, while no other boat owners were allowed to take their boats out.
- 6:41Now, whether one agrees with every critique or not, the perception was unavoidable.
- 6:47There are rules for the public, but not for those in power.
- 6:52Now, if tyranny is defined as leaders placing themselves above the rules, those moments with Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer raise serious questions.
- 7:08And yet those same voices now gather under the banner of no kings, and they became angry when conservatives raised concerns about those same very very same things.
- 7:21So that inconsistency, that hypocrisy reveals something much deeper.
- 7:29The issue is not simply what Donald Trump is doing.
- 7:32It's more about who Donald Trump is.
- 7:36Donald Trump is breaking the chains of tyranny both here and abroad.
- 7:42And it appears that the tyrants don't like it.
- 7:45Many of those protesting are not reacting to a unique form of tyranny.
- 7:51Many of the things that Trump is doing have been done many times by multiple United States presidents.
- 7:59Even Barack Obama.
- 8:02They are reacting instead to a person that they strongly oppose.
- 8:06The language of king becomes a way to elevate that opposition to turn disagreement, where you would have normal public debate into something much more derat dramatic, much more urgent, much more absolute, much more demanding of violence.
- 8:26But when everything is labeled tyranny, the word begins to lose its meaning, doesn't it?
- 8:33There is, however, a deeper issue behind all this, and uh it's one that goes beyond politics.
- 8:41The Bible describes a time in Israel's history with a sobering line.
- 8:47It's in Judges 21, verse 25.
- 8:51And it says there, in those days, there was no king in Israel.
- 8:56Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
- 9:01Now, folks, that wasn't a picture of freedom.
- 9:05That was a picture of disorder, which led to ultimate destruction.
- 9:10Without authority, without a standard above the individual, society cannot flourish.
- 9:18It fragments, it divides.
- 9:21And that's exactly what makes the No Kings movement so revealing.
- 9:26For many of those protesting, this is not really about tyranny at all.
- 9:32It's about resisting laws that people don't like.
- 9:36When it comes to issues like border enforcement or ICE administered immigration prosecution, or efforts to crack down on fraud and abuse.
- 10:00Out there that if a law conflicts with personal beliefs or preferred outcomes, it should simply be ignored.
- 10:08That's called being a scoff law, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:11No respect for the law.
- 10:13That is not a stand against tyranny.
- 10:16It's a step toward anarchy where laws become optional, and enforcement itself is treated as oppression.
- 10:26Because while it claims to resist tyranny, it often reflects something else entirely.
- 10:33A resistance to authority itself.
- 10:37Not just a bad ruler, but any ruler.
- 10:41Not just unjust laws or judges, but any binding standard whatsoever.
- 10:48The desire is not simply for better leadership.
- 10:52It's for autonomy without restraint.
- 10:57Where individuals determine for themselves what is right rather than submitting to any authority above them, and when any authority comes in to try and correct them, they throw a temper tantrum.
- 11:10Well, it's confusing, folks, especially to the protesters themselves, and that has not gone unnoticed.
- 11:18Who to their discredit cannot clearly articulate anything about what they're marching for.
- 11:28They seem to be marching for anarchy, but they're being paid by one world government Marxist oligarchs.
- 11:35That seems to be a conflict.
- 11:37Neither anarchy nor Marxism has ever led to freedom.
- 11:43The Christian view has never been no king, ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:48It has always been this.
- 11:50Christ is king, and there is no king above God.
- 11:54And God's law rules.
- 11:58Authority is real, necessary and good, but it must be limited, accountable, and ultimately under God's authority.
- 12:10Donald Trump is not a king.
- 12:13Has he acted perfectly in his office?
- 12:16Probably not.
- 12:17But he's been pretty good.
- 12:19He's been acting under more constitutional restraints than most others in recent years.
- 12:25So calling Trump a king doesn't make him one.
- 12:30And doesn't strengthen the argument at all.
- 12:33It weakens it.
- 12:35It replaces all serious discussion with exaggerations and blurs a line between true tyranny and political disagreement.
- 12:45The real danger is not that we have a king.
- 12:48It's that certain people don't want authority at all.
- 12:52Not even God's.
- 13:06Stay with us.

- 15:16We're back with unleashed the political news hour.
- 15:20And I'm your host Bruce Robertson.
- 15:22Before we left for the break, I said that this second segment of the show is going to be a bit about No Kings rally explained for people who think that they're fighting fascism.
- 15:36Imagine this, ladies and gentlemen, you're standing in a crowd on a Saturday, and you look around and you think, yeah, no kings.
- 15:45This is what democracy looks like.
- 15:50Bro, you're holding a sign made by a communist billionaire who lives in Shanghai.
- 15:55Get real.
- 15:56You live in a constitutional republic.
- 15:59Elections, term limits, remember those?
- 16:02A free press that spent four years calling the current president a fascist without one journalist ever being arrested.
- 16:12The modern left's definition of fascism is this.
- 16:15You love your country, you're a fascist.
- 16:18You want to enforce the border, you're a racist.
- 16:20You think parents should raise their kids, you're a bigot.
- 16:25You want to know who's voting in your elections?
- 16:27They call you Jim Crow.
- 16:29That's ironic, folks, since Republicans fought very hard to repeal Jim Crow laws, and Democrats themselves resisted very hard and insisted on keeping those Jim Crow laws.
- 16:42Being patriotic is now called fascism to the modern left.
- 16:48Interesting, since modern leftists are socialists, and Hitler himself was a leftist fascist socialist.
- 16:57Oh yeah.
- 16:59That's not what your professor told you.
- 17:01That's not what the history books currently say, but they've been altered to skew the information to make you think that fascism is a right wing ideal.
- 17:11And it is not.
- 17:13Hitler himself called themselves socialists.
- 17:16The Nazis were socialists.
- 17:18Nazi itself stands for National Socialist Workers' Party.
- 17:23It's in the name, folks.
- 17:27The left wants open borders.
- 17:30But every country has borders and enforces them.
- 17:34176 countries require voter ID.
- 17:39That's the definition of a country.
- 17:42But the Democratic establishment has told you otherwise, haven't they?
- 17:46And leftist protesters believed all this.
- 17:52Congress now has a 15% approval rating.
- 17:5580% of Americans disapprove.
- 18:00Yet 97% of incumbents get re-elected.
- 18:05What's going on here?
- 18:07Well, maybe it's an example of why we need term limits.
- 18:12Consider Chuck Schumer.
- 18:14Forty-six years in office.
- 18:16That's longer than Stalin.
- 18:19How about Stenny Hoyer?
- 18:2145 years in office.
- 18:23That's longer than Chairman Mao.
- 18:25Communist chairman of China.
- 18:27Mitch McConnell, 42 years.
- 18:30That's five times longer than Napoleon.
- 18:34Nancy Pelosi, 39 years.
- 18:37That's longer than Henry the Eighth.
- 18:40Maxine Waters, 35 years.
- 18:43That's longer than Mussolini.
- 18:45Bernie Sanders, 35 years.
- 18:48That's triple Hitler's entire reign.
- 18:52Folks, it's getting to the point where the inside of the Capitol must smell like a nursing home.
- 18:59With Walker parking just outside the doors.
- 19:05Trump's been in office for a total of five years and three months all together, with both terms.
- 19:10He's won the popular vote and the electoral vote.
- 19:15But somehow, Trump is the king.
- 19:20Not these others who refuse to retire.
- 19:24Okay, buddy.
- 19:26Tell me another story.
- 19:27You don't hate kings.
- 19:29You hate kings that aren't yours.
- 19:33And yesterday your kings had you out in the street carrying their water.
- 19:40The Democrat Party installed the president without letting you vote.
- 19:44Biden quit on a Sunday.
- 19:46By Tuesday, Queen Kamala was crowned.
- 19:53There was no primary, there was no debate, there was no ballot.
- 19:58First time since now.
- 20:001968.
- 20:04Three days before your march, every Senate Democrat voted against photo ID to vote.
- 20:11How's that for freedom?
- 20:13During COVID, you carried a vaccine card everywhere, like a hall pass from the government just to eat at a restaurant.
- 20:22But getting a birth certificate or waiting two hours at the DMV to prove you're a citizen before you vote, apparently that's oppression.
- 20:33The Democratic Party is now pro-illegal immigration and birthright citizenship.
- 20:39If you think about that for a moment, what is birthright citizenship?
- 20:45Birthright citizenship means that the children of illegal aliens, people from a foreign country that are not citizens here, their children can now vote to tax your children and steal their birthright.
- 21:03That's a hard turn from even what socialists like Bernie Sanders said, his position was as recently as 2015.
- 21:11Listen to what Bernie said in 2015.
- 21:16I quote, open borders, that's a right wing proposal, which says essentially there is no U.S.
- 21:23It would make everybody in America poorer.
- 21:26What right wing people in this country would love is an open border policy.
- 21:32I don't believe in that.
- 21:34That was Bernie in 2015.
- 21:37Now what do they do?
- 21:40Open the borders, count non-citizens in the census, the census determines congressional seats, more non-citizens means more seats, means more power for the people that open the borders.
- 21:55No voter ID means no way to check.
- 21:58They're trying to bum rush the nation and pack the house with Democrats who sprinkle goodies from the taxpayer-funded treasury on all of their newfound forever dependents.
- 22:09We know what they're doing.
- 22:10We see them.
- 22:12That's how you keep power without having to wear a crown.
- 22:17But it's there, ladies and gentlemen.
- 22:19These are your kings.
- 22:21But Trump threw a wrench in the works with his executive order recently banning birthright citizenship.
- 22:28Now, a lower court tried to block it, and now the Supreme Court is hearing the case on birthright citizenship.
- 22:37But win or lose, the White House can use the court's decision, whatever it is, to reignite the debate over immigration and propose common sense improvements to our country's broken immigration and representation system.
- 22:54Changes that should include no longer counting undocumented people in our national census.
- 23:02Changes that should include ending the diversity lottery and initiating a merit-based admissions program in schools.
- 23:10Well, that's happening.
- 23:12Okay, and a merit-based admission program in our country as well.
- 23:16Let's see if that happens.
- 23:19President Trump was elected in part to end the immigration crisis created by his predecessor Joe Biden.
- 23:28The nation was horrified that Biden allowed millions of migrants, immigrants, illegal aliens, to enter the country illegally.
- 23:38Voters were disgusted by scenes of chaos at the border.
- 23:42In December 2023 alone, some 300,000 people crossed the United States illegally, largely unvetted for criminal histories or health issues.
- 23:54Everybody had to be vaccinated, apparently, except the illegals that were pouring across our border.
- 24:00300,000 people in one month in December 23.
- 24:04It was a national disgrace.
- 24:08Trump, as promised, when he got elected, quickly secured the border again.
- 24:14But his aggressive deportation policies are unpopular, and his approval rating on immigration has plummeted into deep red territory.
- 24:25He needs to reset his immigration approach, which may prove critical to holding on to the historic inroads that he and other GOP MAGA candidates have made with Hispanic voters last year.
- 24:39Latinos who followed the rules to enter our country oppose illegal immigration.
- 24:44They don't like their neighborhoods being threatened by Venezuelan gangs or their communities' hospitals or drug cartels or schools overrun by undocumented immigrants.
- 24:56But they also don't like seeing their long-standing neighbors picked up by ICE officers and hauled out just because they're in the country illegally.
- 25:06So there's a problem there.
- 27:04And that I think makes tremendous sense.
- 27:07Democrats, on the other hand, universally support birthright citizenship.
- 27:13They actually favor any program that increases illegal immigration, which puts them at odds with the majority of the country who oppose it.
- 27:23Gallup polling shows that as recently as last year, 55% of Americans thought that immigration should be reduced, and that nearly half the country supported depart deporting all immigrants who are living illegally in the United States.
- 27:40All immigrants.
- 27:42Since then, as Democrats and their media allies have worked overtime, pounding the table and demonizing ICE agents, rounding up who are rounding up, by the way, drug and sex traffickers and human traffickers, and some who are simply in the country illegally as well.
- 28:01People's attitudes have softened a little bit.
- 28:04Most Americans want our immigration laws to benefit our country, and a majority approved of the two-part immigration program that President Trump rolled out in his first term.
- 28:16The plan includes stepped up border security, but it also created a merit-based immigration system that would prioritize people who bring needed capabilities into the United States.
- 28:30As President Trump said in 2018, some 70% of all immigrants who come to the United States today are admitted based on family relationships or through a random visa lottery.
- 28:44And that's a system that favors random choice over the skills our economy needs.
- 28:51He proposed a point-based system that like that similar to that the one that's used in Canada, although a little different as well, which would increase the number of legal immigrants selected on the basis of skills or merits from 12% to 57%.
- 29:10Trump's proposal here met with broad bipartisan support.
- 29:16According to a 2018 national poll conducted by Harvard, a merit-based immigration plan was supported by 84% of registered voters, including 75% of registered Democrats, and finding support across all racial and ethnic lines.
- 29:37The Democrats oppose common sense immigration reforms, and they conflate legal and illegal immigration.
- 29:47And why wouldn't they?
- 29:49They're confident that a large majority of those who enter the country illegally will ultimately be able to vote and will back the Democrat Party.
- 30:00You know what I call that?
- 30:01I call that demographic warfare.
- 30:04It's subversive.
- 30:07It should be treasonous.
- 30:09I mean, look what happened in Germany.
- 30:12And Britain as well, by the way.
- 30:14But in Germany, Angela Merkel, Angela Merkel, just admitted on camera this week that she deliberately flooded Germany with third world immigrants to stop the far right.
- 30:27She chose to erase her own people rather than lose power.
- 30:33This wasn't a mistake, folks.
- 30:35It was demographic warfare.
- 30:37And Merkel admits to it.
- 30:39I think it's treasonous.
- 30:41Honestly, treasonous.
- 30:42And Biden did the same thing, by the way.
- 30:45So even now, illegal immigration is a boon to Democrats who are in charge of blue states like California and New York, whose reckless spending and consequent high taxation are driving residents, especially wealthy residents, to move to more affordable states like Florida and Texas.
- 31:07Mass outmigration should lead to reduced federal aid and fewer congressional seats and electoral college votes in New York and California.
- 31:19However, because the government includes undocumented people in the decennial sentence census.
- 31:36That's every ten years.
- 31:53In Washington.
- 31:54That's gotta end.
- 31:57The treatment of undocumented people who have lived in the United States honorably for decades and have contributed to their communities, if they have, must also change.
- 32:10Wholesale deportations are probably not the answer.
- 32:13Such people should be allowed to apply for some alien resident status, but maybe they should understand that as a penalty for entering illegally, they may never become citizens.
- 32:25Our immigration system does not put America first.
- 32:30President Trump now has a chance to fix it.
- 32:32He's right on birthright citizenship, as his executive order states the 14th Amendment has never been interpreted to extend citizenship universally to everyone born within the United States.
- 32:45That's true.
- 32:46The children of foreign diplomats, for instance, do not become citizens even if they're born on U.S.
- 32:52soil.
- 32:54It's encouraging that the court will refuse will review this issue, but even if President Trump's executive order is struck down, there's plenty of more work to be done.
- 33:09Now, on top of all this, of course, we have O'Biden, O'Biden, Obama and Biden, building building a censorship machine during both their terms as president, which now is largely being dismantled, but the left is hanging on in the media.
- 33:29Social media was pressured by Obama and also by Biden, especially by Biden, Biden administration, and his uh his law enforcement, FBI, and also his uh his intelligence agencies like the CIA to suppress true information, and it they admitted it in writing.
- 33:52Censored, they censored scientists, they censored doctors, they censored jokes and memes online.
- 34:01I mean, the Biden White House told Facebook to remove remove any humor and satire that didn't conform with a certain narrative.
- 34:11They literally went after people for making fun of them.
- 34:15The UK, I have to say, does it better, however?
- 34:20We're not going to talk about the UK so much today, but the UK's been arresting people for their Facebook posts and putting them in jail.
- 34:29Everything they censored, strangely turned out to be right.
- 34:34They just outsourced the silencing to Silicon Valley.
- 34:39And it doesn't stop at speech.
- 34:42See, this is tyrannical activity.
- 34:45This is the real kings I was talking about.
- 34:48It doesn't stop at speech.
- 34:50The extreme left justifies taking children from families.
- 35:02The Hitler youth did this, Mao's Red Guards did this.
- 35:05The Soviets built statues of a child who turned in his own father.
- 35:10That's some playbook, folks.
- 35:12During COVID, your bakery got shut down, your church was closed.
- 35:16You couldn't hold your dying mother's hand at the hospital, but thousands packed together doing BLM to burn Minneapolis, and that was essential civic engagement, obviously.
- 35:28Two billion damages, 25 dead, 2,000 cops injured, 20 states burning, Kamala Harris promoting a bail fund for the rioters.
- 35:39There was no investigation, there were no hearings, it was catch and release.
- 35:44January 6th, however, there was one building, a few hours, a thousand people prosecuted and put in prison, and two years of televised hearings.
- 35:56The kings are the ones who decide which violence counts.
- 35:59And your left is kings, decided, didn't they?
- 36:04And we'll be right back.
- 36:05Oral hygiene hasn't changed in 50 years, but our diet and the way we eat has creating an environment in your mouth for bacteria to wreck havoc on your teeth and gums.
- 36:15For better oral health, get sprayed dental defense, an oral care line designed to combat acid-creating bacteria.
- 36:23The toothpaste, mouthwash, mints, and gum all contain xylitol and natural ingredients shown to dramatically improve oral health.
- 36:31Sprite can be found online and at all fine natural retailers.
- 36:35I'm Doug Evans, author of the Sprout Book.
- 36:38And I'm also a father with a three-year-old daughter.
- 36:41And that's why we grow sprouts.
- 36:44Did you know that you could take seeds, add water, and get fresh organic vegetables in three to five days without soil, sunshine, or fertilizer for under a dollar a serving?
- 36:57That's the miracle of sprouting, and I want to share that with you.

- 37:13Well, not all energy bars are soft and sugary.
- 37:17Bear bars are a crunchy savory bar made from just six simple natural ingredients.
- 37:24Bear bars are plant-based, organic gluten-free, contain six grams of protein and are low temperature dried for unique crunch.
- 37:33Most energy bars are based on chocolate or fruit and are held together with syrups or sweeteners.

- 37:46Welcome back to Unleash, ladies and gentlemen, the political news hour with Bruce Robertson.
- 37:54So we're talking about kings.
- 37:56We're talking about communism.
- 37:59Listen in.
- 38:00We're going to talk about it a little more.
- 38:02Um as I said earlier, kings decide which violence counts.
- 38:07And the left, the kings on the left, decided.
- 38:12Charlie Kirk spent his entire life walking in onto campuses asking for honest debates.
- 38:18He was assassinated.
- 38:21CSIS terrorism database, okay.
- 38:242025 is the first year in 30 years that left wing attacks outnumbered right wing attacks.
- 38:34Yet nobody brings this up.
- 38:3775% of liberal students now say that preventing a speaker from talking is justified.
- 38:4527% say violence is justified and acceptable.
- 38:52Liberals who went to Trump rallies said I never felt safer.
- 38:57The experience changed me, changed my opinion about MAGA Trump supporters.
- 39:03They welcomed me.
- 39:05Conservatives, however, who show up on liberal campuses, get screamed at, blocked, attacked, and assassinated.
- 39:15You know, one side talks, ladies and gentlemen, open dialogue.
- 39:19The other side screams and tries to shut your mouth.
- 39:24The party for socialism and liberation marched with the No Kings demonstrators on Saturday.
- 39:31And if you're one of them, they marched with you.
- 39:36Their stated purpose in their own words are revolution, not reform.
- 39:41That, ladies and gentlemen, is pure Marxism.
- 39:46Five hundred groups, three hundred three billion in revenue, pre-printed signs, lots of organization.
- 39:54The signs were delivered and ready before you were even angry.
- 40:00The people currently screaming no kings in the streets are the exact same people who handed Kamala Harris, the Democrat nomination without a single primary vote cast by actual Democrat voters.
- 40:12You didn't get the vote on them.
- 40:14You didn't get to vote on that.
- 40:16There was no primary.
- 40:17Not one contest, not one debate, not one state.
- 40:22The party bosses decided in a smoke-filled back room, and they called it democracy.
- 40:28And here it is.
- 40:29Every other thing they did.
- 40:31By the way, by the way, look how many Republican candidates there were in the primary.
- 40:36I mean, it was a relative, it was around Robin.
- 40:38It was like the NCAA basketball championships for crying out loud.
- 40:42And Trump came out on top.
- 40:45And here is every other thing they did to the candidate, 77 million Americans actually chose.
- 40:53Okay.
- 40:55They arrested him.
- 40:56There were four criminal indictments across four jurisdictions, timed with the precision of a political hit operation.
- 41:05They sued to physically remove Donald Trump's name from ballots in multiple states.
- 41:11They were trying to erase your choice before you ever got to make it.
- 41:16They went to court to keep Robert F.
- 41:18Kennedy Jr.
- 41:19off the ballot because an independent voice threatened their stranglehold on power.
- 41:24They weaponized the Department of Justice.
- 41:27They weaponized the FBI.
- 41:29They put the full force of the federal government against a political opponent in a manner that this country has never witnessed in its entire history.
- 41:41No kings from the people who crowned a candidate nobody voted for, who imprisoned their political opponent, who erased names from ballots and silenced independent voices.
- 41:57The movement chanting about democracy tried to cancel every election they couldn't control.
- 42:03How's that for democracy?
- 42:07The good news is that the American people saw through every single bit of it on last November 5th, and they will see through it again.
- 42:18So WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange this week told Megan Kelly that the reason his organization has never released any damaging material on President Trump is that quote, there is no dirt to release on Donald Trump.
- 42:37He is probably the most squeaky clean individual in Washington because he's not a career politician.
- 42:44He's not from inside the beltway.
- 42:47He's not a product of the globalist cabal of elites.
- 42:52Julian Assange is a hero for exposing to the world the truth about Hillary Clinton and saving us all from her planned destruction of America and the world order as we know it.
- 43:07Donald Trump, on the other hand, is the greatest existential threat to the globalist uniparty cabal.
- 43:14They have absolutely nothing on him, and he has everything on them, and they hate him for it.
- 43:21In other words, he has all the cards to checkmate the deep state.
- 43:26God bless Julian Assange.
- 43:29He's been a years long former political prisoner, and thank God he's finally free at last.
- 43:37Now let's shift to the international scene.
- 43:40Iran is claiming that India needs permission and needs to submit crew lists and pay protection fees for them to enter the Strait of Hormuz.
- 43:52Now, this is reminiscent of the Barbary pirate blockades under which Thomas Jefferson formed the United States Marines, and we fought two wars with them against the Muslim Sultanate of the Ottoman Mediterranean Barbary states to the end.
- 44:15Now India tells Iran no permission needed.
- 44:18That's good that they stood up.
- 44:20No tribute will be paid to Iran as the Indian Navy is sending seven warships to guard the oil lifeline in the Strait of Hormuz.
- 44:31So India just drew a firm line in the sand against Iranian strong armed tactics in the Strait of Hormuz.
- 44:39New Delhi made it crystal clear.
- 44:41The strait is an international waterway under UN CLOS rules.
- 44:48No permission, no crew lists, no protection fees or tributes are required for Indian ships to pass through.
- 44:57While the world watches Iran-Israel tensions choke off 20% of global oil flows, the Indian Navy just launched Operation Urjah Shirakshah and deployed seven frontline warships.
- 45:13That includes destroyers in the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
- 45:19Their mission is simple and tough.
- 45:22Escort India-bound tankers carrying liquid petroleum, crude, and liquid natural gas straight through the danger zone.
- 45:35This is not an empty gesture, ladies and gentlemen.
- 45:38India relies on these trade routes for 90% of their LPG imports.
- 45:44Disruptions hit kitchens and factories hard.
- 45:47And they got a lot of mouths to feed over there.
- 45:50The Navy has already guided ships like Jagvasant and Pine Gas to safety with more escorts rolling out.
- 45:59Warships stay outside the strait but stand ready to protect every mile, all the way to Indian waters.
- 46:07So there's no begging Washington, no weakness, just clear-eyed strategic autonomy backed by steel.
- 46:16India is putting its Navy where its energy security is and sending a loud message to the world.
- 46:22Mess with our tankers at your peril.
- 46:26The video making rounds shows exactly why adversaries should think twice.
- 46:32Indian destroyers slicing through the sea.
- 46:35I saw this this week, missiles ready, fleet looking like it's in pretty good fighting form.
- 46:42This is how a serious nation defends its interests when global choke points turn into chokeholds.
- 46:51Now, three weeks into the bombing of Iran, too much of the debate remains focused on the legality of the Trump administration's actions.
- 47:01Most good faith actors by now recognize that the regime there is evil and is developing nuclear weapons, or they have been.
- 47:09They've also learned that the regime has intercontinental ballistic missiles of a longer range than first thought.
- 47:18And those missiles, by the way, were recently fired at some U.S.
- 47:22assets in the Indian Ocean.
- 47:24But rather than focusing on the wisdom or timing of Trump's Operation Epic Fury, opponents have rallied around challenging its legality.
- 47:36Now, this is a curious line of attack.
- 47:39While the Constitution grants Congress the power to declare war, even the most pacifist legal stickler recognized president's authority, our president's authority to use force to defend U.S.
- 47:54sovereign interests when they're under attack.
- 47:57More broadly, presidents going back to the founding generation have engaged in limited uses of military force without congressional authorization, including the Barbary Wars.
- 48:10One of us expanded on this overwhelming precedent in the context of American operations in Venezuela earlier this year.
- 48:21But we're not going to go into that.
- 48:23But just using basic geography, invoking a modernized Monroe doctrine, doesn't work for Iran as it does for our operations in the Caribbean.
- 48:34And so there's no service of criminal warrants on the indicted head of a narco-state terrorist through the Iranian, although the Iranian regime is involved in all sorts of criminal activities, including the drug trade.
- 48:50Instead, the White House is rightly focusing on continuing threats for decades to American interests and personnel, which has built up and built up and has finally come to a head.
- 49:04And they've got enriched uranium.
- 49:06The historical precedent for unilateral presidential military action in that context is overwhelming.
- 49:14As I said, President Thomas Jefferson defended U.S.
- 49:18trade ships by directing a naval squadron to North Africa to attack the Barbary pirates.
- 49:23The militant Islamists of their day.
- 49:27Even the Korean War was technically just an international police action.
- 49:31And the congressional authorizations for use of military force against Afghanistan and Iraq also lacked formal war declarations.
- 49:42So there's a precedent.
- 49:44As Trump skeptic Jack Goldsmith, who's a former head of the Justice Department's office of legal counsel under George W.
- 49:51Bush recently said, the practice over almost 250 years has been growing.
- 50:00Unilateral presidential use of force.
- 50:03Several opinions, most recently regarding Venezuela, have codified this state of play.
- 50:10Furthermore, political limitations on presidential warm making powers have real teeth.
- 50:16While the air campaign against Iran has been robust, Trump has suggested that it won't last long.
- 50:23There's no hint yet of a draft or any full-scale deployment, as in Iraq or Vietnam.
- 50:30That's another conflict, by the way, Vietnam, where Congress never formally declared war.
- 50:35Yeah, we didn't have a declaration of war on Vietnam, although it lasted more than 10 years.
- 50:41And the operation has been mightily successful at relatively little cost so far in blood and treasure.
- 50:49So in less than the time a think tank can produce a white paper, the Iranian government has been pretty much decapitated through air power alone, without the need for really any boots on the ground.
- 51:04Now that may change.
- 51:05We may go into Carg Island.
- 51:07We may, Congress could certainly move to block further action in Iran as well, or cut off funding as it did to uh precipitate the end of uh the Vietnam War.
- 51:18But thus far, it hasn't chosen to do so.
- 51:23The Supreme Court, meanwhile, has never pronounced any judgment on many of these questions, other than to defer to the executive or to the political process.
- 51:35Accordingly, Trump's airstrikes face very little legal opposition, apart from what Yale law professor uh Rubinfeld uh characterize as the chattering of partisans, insisting that they know what the Constitution requires, when in reality, very few do.
- 51:55The question of whether Congress needs to declare war on Iran is moot.
- 52:01The illegitimate regime in charge of that country long ago declared war on the U.S., even to the point of adopting death to America and calling us the Great Satan.
- 52:12The fact that Iran often enlists other non state actors, assorted terrorist groups, rather than engaging us directly in uniform, really doesn't matter.
- 52:23Indeed, the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the current regime formally renamed the country, has waged war against the United States more or less continuously during the last 47 years of their history.
- 52:39Beginning with the taking of hostages at the U.S.
- 52:42Embassy in 1979, by the way.
- 52:46In 1983, they directed their proxy, Hezbollah, to blow up an American military barracks in Lebanon.
- 52:53They killed 241 U.S.
- 52:55Marines in that act.
- 52:57During the Iraq War, the Iranian regime supplied insurgents with improvised explosive devices, otherwise known as IEDs, that killed and maimed so many U.S.
- 53:09service members.
- 53:11Iran launched some 170 attacks on U.S.
- 53:15forces and assets from October 2023 through December of 2024 alone.
- 53:24And they also tried to assassinate President Trump.
- 53:29While there were brief periods of rapprochement during the Gulf War and under the Obama administration, when Obama was basically kissing their butts and paying them billions of dollars in U.S.
- 53:43money, these were anomalies in a long history that was predominantly defined by Iranian aggression.
- 53:53So is there anything more than that you need to know to understand that the United States has been in a war with the Islamic Republic for decades?
- 54:04I mean, whether Congress declares it or not, I mean, we could debate the policy merits of engaging in military action in Iran or engaging in it maybe now, but the legal justification is very strong, and as we're seeing, it's largely irrelevant.
- 54:23So what's the real story behind all that's been happening in real time?
- 54:29You know, I've been arguing that the goal in Iran is to seize the global oil, to put our hand on the tap of global oil.
- 54:38We did it in Venezuela in January, and now we did it in Iran in February, effectively.
- 54:46They want to, you know, the idea is to neutralize the supply channels outside the dollar system within maybe 90 days, and then achieve a compliant successor government in these countries and complete the energy dominant dominance.
- 55:04The reason is because oil is traded in dollars.
- 55:10When companies want to change the currency that the oil trades in, we have a problem because our money is basically backed by oil.
- 55:21The oil thesis was the obvious layer.
- 55:24However, when you zoom out and you've you view the last four years as one single consequence rather than isolated geopolitical events, the architecture of the grander U.S.
- 55:38plan is becomes becoming more and more visible.
- 55:42You know, first there was Europe.
- 55:44Europe laid the groundwork.
- 55:46The Ukraine conflict provided the justification for sanctions that collapsed the Russian pipeline gas from 150 billion cubic meters to 40.
- 55:57Then the Nord Stream pipeline was destroyed.
- 56:01And I think we probably understand who had a hand in that.
- 56:05And that rewired the entire European energy system permanently.
- 56:10The U.S.
- 56:11went from supplying 28% of Europe's liquid natural gas in 21 to 58% of Europe's liquid natural gas by 2025.
- 56:23And now we export a record 11 million metric tons.
- 56:31That's the first country in history to break 100 million tons.
- 56:37Okay, metric tons.
- 56:39I've got much more to say, but we're out of time.
- 56:42So this is unleashed the political news hour.
- 56:46I'm your host, Bruce Robertson, and we'll speak to you next week.
