1:25
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, you know, what a great night we had on Saturday night, man, because, you know, we were sitting there honestly just, you know, to speak, to have just honored to be there, you know, be nominated and then we saw how they were skipping categories, Chad.
1:42
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, perking, and Savak, so we're just hoping our category didn't get skipped at one point because right, you know, in order to get it in me, you got you got to be anywhere.
1:51
[SPEAKER_05]: So if you're category might be there, but you still might not get one.
1:54
[SPEAKER_05]: It's that, you know, they don't feel like it was worthy, man.
1:57
[SPEAKER_05]: So the fact that we saw our category come up, you know, we're sitting number two on the whole listed people on there, man.
2:05
[SPEAKER_05]: And they skipped the first person.
2:07
[SPEAKER_01]: They did.
2:08
[SPEAKER_05]: Came to us, man, and we lost our shit, man.
2:11
[SPEAKER_05]: We lost our shit, but hey, good as Chad, we were close to the bar too, man.
2:17
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're making bar runs, you know what I mean?
2:19
[SPEAKER_05]: We were just making just in case, you know what I mean?
2:21
[SPEAKER_05]: Just relax it and stuff, man.
2:23
[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, I worked out great, man.
2:24
[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, man, this is, this means I've all the shit I've gotten for playing sports, man.
2:30
[SPEAKER_05]: This is, this is right here that sits on my rest morph, me, right here, man.
2:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I loved to hear that juice and I have to admit of all the shit I got for playing sports as well.
2:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
2:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
2:40
[SPEAKER_02]: We dropped some.
2:42
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, you know, those blue ribbons, the red ribbons, the fucking dude.
2:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I had that baseball season.
2:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I was a fire baseball season.
2:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Got one hit.
2:49
[SPEAKER_05]: That plastic guy.
2:50
[SPEAKER_05]: That plastic guy that you had on the, that's a batter.
2:53
[SPEAKER_05]: Now the bats probably broken.
2:54
[SPEAKER_05]: I get it, man.
2:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Wait.
2:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Wait.
2:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Seth, did you say that ball that one hit, did you say that ball?
3:00
[SPEAKER_03]: No, man.
3:02
[SPEAKER_07]: They stopped, they stopped the game.
3:04
[SPEAKER_02]: He he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he he
3:12
[SPEAKER_05]: much appreciate it.
3:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I should make it up though.
3:15
[SPEAKER_02]: I should make it up.
3:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, look at the crew in the what a fucking flex.
3:20
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
3:21
[SPEAKER_02]: You know it, Lewis.
3:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Flex is straight up.
3:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, we are.
3:25
[SPEAKER_02]: We're just going to keep it in frame.
3:27
[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to keep it in frame.
3:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate it.
3:29
[SPEAKER_02]: The crew is all here.
3:30
[SPEAKER_02]: I love everybody showing up.
3:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate you guys.
3:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Sam and Lewis, Andrew and the House.
3:35
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
3:36
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely,
3:41
[SPEAKER_02]: But of course, always a legendary Savak joins us again, producer of the Emmy Award-winning podcast, The Fish Tank.
3:48
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
3:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Chad Van Horn said he's tired of all your shit.
3:52
[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna rock his Steelers jersey.
3:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Good for you.
3:55
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm gonna make you do the show from home at 9pm.
3:58
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna put on what I wanna put on.
3:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good for you.
4:01
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good for you.
4:01
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good for you.
4:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good for you.
4:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good for you.
4:04
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so good for you.
4:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so good for you.
4:05
[SPEAKER_02]: What am I hearing?
4:06
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm choosing violence this week and if the mic's just screwed up we're blaming juice this time No, I can't be me this time I don't even want to hear it.
4:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Please don't don't Please don't tell me that Sam.
4:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Please don't tell me that In a park.
4:21
[SPEAKER_05]: Whose mic is fucked up, man?
4:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know Sam might just be fucking with us.
4:24
[SPEAKER_02]: We'll find out if you still don't know I'm throwing a Sam
4:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Did it get out of the infield?
4:31
[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
4:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm weak for a face like that's right.
4:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, it's one of those mommy hits.
4:42
[SPEAKER_06]: They called us like mommy.
4:44
[SPEAKER_05]: My baby got the first base.
4:46
[SPEAKER_05]: That's a hit with two to six legs, with two to six outs legs.
4:50
[SPEAKER_05]: But my baby got on first base.
4:51
[SPEAKER_05]: That's a hit.
4:52
[SPEAKER_02]: That is all that matters, okay?
4:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Listen.
4:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Trying to qualify my one-day.
4:56
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here.
4:57
[SPEAKER_02]: That's messed up.
4:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm highly offended.
5:00
[SPEAKER_02]: My god, I'm highly offended.
5:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, we've waited long enough.
5:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Literally, we've waited long enough.
5:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Perkins, Sun Sentinel columnist, the host of Dolphins deep dive with Perk.
5:11
[SPEAKER_02]: He has Perk, and he's back in the building.
5:14
[SPEAKER_02]: What's up Perk?
5:15
[SPEAKER_07]: Hey Verizon took my food stamps, man.
5:18
[SPEAKER_07]: I was like, they took my field this month.
5:23
[SPEAKER_03]: I imagine we'll be discussing that in the Van Horton Walker wheelzone.
5:37
[SPEAKER_02]: So can you stick around for that and think it's a great question as well for Chad We're the Chad's wearing the number of points.
5:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Why I'm he's gonna score on Monday against Bitschburg
5:50
[SPEAKER_05]: Come on for you.
5:51
[SPEAKER_03]: They are absolutely 19.
5:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Not 19 degrees or not.
5:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we'll talk about that later.
5:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad I'm 19.
5:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad I'm 19.
6:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad I'm 19.
6:01
[SPEAKER_01]: We're good.
6:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad I'm with a good spirit as well.
6:04
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I wear a good spirit.
6:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Florida row.
6:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Five out of six.
6:09
[SPEAKER_02]: It feels good to be a dolphins fan right now.
6:12
[SPEAKER_02]: But my question, and I'll start with Chris Perkins.
6:16
[SPEAKER_02]: My question is, are the dolphins for real?
6:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Is what we're seeing, the real deal?
6:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Are they truly on a run?
6:22
[SPEAKER_02]: Or is it full's gold?
6:25
[SPEAKER_07]: I think what we're seeing from the dolphins is the team that I thought we were seeing coming out of training count.
6:30
[SPEAKER_07]: The team that I thought was gonna win nine games.
6:33
[SPEAKER_07]: Now, this is, I think they're good enough to be mediocre.
6:37
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think they're good enough to win a playoff game.
6:39
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think they're good enough to make the playoffs.
6:41
[SPEAKER_07]: But I think that for the most part, they're living up to expectations.
6:45
[SPEAKER_07]: What does that mean for Mike McDaniel coming back next season?
6:49
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm sure we'll flesh that out later on today.
6:51
[SPEAKER_07]: But we can believe in what we've seen, the Buffalo victory was legit.
6:56
[SPEAKER_07]: The other three victories are games that they should have won.
6:59
[SPEAKER_07]: But they took care of business.
7:02
[SPEAKER_07]: They won on the road in December.
7:04
[SPEAKER_07]: It's all positive.
7:06
[SPEAKER_07]: I have nothing bad to say about what we've seen from this team.
7:10
[SPEAKER_05]: I think this team that we're seeing right now wins a lot of those games that we lost early in the season.
7:20
[SPEAKER_05]: If they were doing what they're doing right now, I think this team wins some of those games, and the game's especially that we're supposed to win, and I say that whole Harley because
7:31
[SPEAKER_05]: This is this is the recipe for success in NFL, what they're doing right now.
7:36
[SPEAKER_05]: They're playing great on teams.
7:37
[SPEAKER_05]: And of course, they gave a, you know, kick off or turn for a touchdown, whatever the hell it was that they didn't stop to do for his hands.
7:46
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
7:47
[SPEAKER_05]: But they gave them three points on defense, right?
7:50
[SPEAKER_05]: But the billiard to run the rock the way they did and without our number one dude,
7:55
[SPEAKER_05]: you know, for most of the game and the ability to play defense.
7:58
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't care who people can say whoever playing, of course, the jet's offense is future.
8:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Of course, Ty Roth Taylor got hurt.
8:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I could get all that.
8:05
[SPEAKER_05]: That's football though, man.
8:07
[SPEAKER_05]: That's part of the game.
8:08
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, and you're going to run to get some bad quarterbacks and bad teams.
8:11
[SPEAKER_05]: And we've done that.
8:12
[SPEAKER_05]: We've lost to somebody's scrubs, you know?
8:14
[SPEAKER_05]: So the fact we're able to go in here and play a great defense or run the football.
8:17
[SPEAKER_05]: That's what you have to do in December So though we got another December game coming up two home games in a final that might not even matter I think this team is going to get to your nine win threshold perk But it starts this week getting the 7 to 7 against you know Chad sorry ass dealers, you know
8:38
[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, I'll tell you this, what I do like about this team is they are playing old school football like juicy it, it's run game and defense, it's not too low, it's not tie-reak, it's run game and defense, by the way, in the last six games, they are plus seven and turn over margin and they have not had more than five penalties in any of these six games.
9:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, they're they're producing turnovers.
9:05
[SPEAKER_07]: They're not hurting themselves with dump penalties.
9:08
[SPEAKER_07]: They're playing defense.
9:09
[SPEAKER_07]: They're running the ball.
9:11
[SPEAKER_07]: I believe in this brand of football that the dolphins are putting forward right now.
9:16
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
9:16
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
9:17
[SPEAKER_05]: And you know, and I mean, still is going to be a distiller shock to hell out of me, Chad.
9:22
[SPEAKER_05]: You can talk about this a little bit.
9:23
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, that went in Baltimore.
9:25
[SPEAKER_05]: I was, I was shocking to see A.E.
9:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Ron still able to make go out there and make some play and stuff, man.
9:31
[SPEAKER_05]: And that, you know, and he's always done that against us, right?
9:35
[SPEAKER_05]: Big Seth, like it's always like the Christmas game.
9:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
9:39
[SPEAKER_05]: The Christmas game when he's with the Packers, when two of Winchester's Merry Christmas out the words.
9:45
[SPEAKER_05]: You, you, you, you need a big Seth, but you'll figure it out.
9:49
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, rookie rookie mistakes.
9:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, hi, Diego from last week.
9:56
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, sorry.
9:57
[SPEAKER_02]: It was you.
9:58
[SPEAKER_05]: It is you.
9:58
[SPEAKER_05]: It ain't needed.
10:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take it juice.
10:02
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take it.
10:03
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I don't know what to take it.
10:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I, I, I mean, it's my whole MO over here.
10:07
[SPEAKER_01]: My mountain do here.
10:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
10:09
[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah.
10:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
10:11
[SPEAKER_01]: That damn Emmy is looking good.
10:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Go ahead, Chad.
10:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Jews.
10:14
[SPEAKER_03]: So something different is that this year is something very different with the Steelers because you would always want to play the Steelers the week after the Baltimore game, right?
10:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Because that usually was the most physical game.
10:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And we didn't see that this past week.
10:29
[SPEAKER_03]: And obviously, Talman is known for coming up with the unexpected wins, but sometimes he comes up with those unexpected losses as well, where we're the favorites at home and we just don't show up.
10:40
[SPEAKER_03]: So I really have no idea what's going to happen in this game.
10:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I am certainly glad other than I'm attending it.
10:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad it's going to be 12 degrees for the Steelers because I think that's to their advantage and part probably knows the statistics under a certain degree what the dolphins do.
10:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm hoping maybe a sponsor will put me in a box because I'm not built for 12 degrees anymore.
11:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But how crazy is it to think that this actually is a match up for a potential playoff spot?
11:11
[SPEAKER_03]: It really is crazy and if you would have talked about this for six weeks ago, you would have thought you were crazy for saying it, but here we are.
11:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
11:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Here we are.
11:22
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry.
11:23
[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Markoo with the line of the night.
11:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Keith is now my favorite van horn.
11:27
[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
11:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Is that the border?
11:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because of Keith from Utah.
11:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I met him at a family reunion and he actually told me he hates Sam.
11:39
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
11:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how he did tell me that, so.
11:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's too good, it's too good.
11:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, part, you talked about playing that old school football in the running game, but
11:56
[SPEAKER_02]: The power running game has been with 100 and something pound back so can wet in Devon H and who has become one of the most electric players in the national football league.
12:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Do we know anything about his status?
12:09
[SPEAKER_02]: I was looking for the injury report and then I remembered that today is a Tuesday for the Dalvin's, the Monday Night Football game coming up.
12:16
[SPEAKER_02]: So we won't see an injury report until tomorrow.
12:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Have you heard anything?
12:20
[SPEAKER_07]: No, other than what McDaniel told us on Monday that HN had an MRI, it was clean.
12:27
[SPEAKER_07]: And so he might get a day off from practice this week, but, um, look, HN has been balling.
12:34
[SPEAKER_07]: And I've been saying this also, I would extend that man after the season.
12:38
[SPEAKER_07]: I probably said that on this show before that I think the model for his contract would be James Cook's contract in Buffalo the four years for 78 million, 30 million guarantee.
12:49
[SPEAKER_07]: and because ancient ways of 191 pounds, I'm with you, Chad.
12:55
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm with you right there.
12:57
[SPEAKER_07]: I would make it a front loaded contract kind of a two year deal, right, that all the guarantees are in the first two years.
13:04
[SPEAKER_07]: So that if something does happen, you know, physically after that second year, you can get out of it with little penalty.
13:11
[SPEAKER_07]: But HN is a baller.
13:13
[SPEAKER_07]: I like what he's doing.
13:14
[SPEAKER_07]: And he's gotten healthier as his career is going on.
13:19
[SPEAKER_07]: Y'all remember his rookie year.
13:20
[SPEAKER_07]: He missed what four or five games last year.
13:23
[SPEAKER_07]: He didn't miss any games, even though he had the concussion this year.
13:27
[SPEAKER_07]: He hasn't missed any games, even though he missed a half last week with the rib injury.
13:31
[SPEAKER_07]: I like what I see from him durability wise, and I told him a couple of weeks ago, I was like, man, you're getting pretty durable.
13:38
[SPEAKER_07]: Nobody gets a clean shot on you, and he looked at me and he laughed and he goes, nobody's supposed to get a clean shot on me.
13:44
[SPEAKER_07]: That was like, yeah, man, that's a part of your job business.
13:48
[SPEAKER_07]: He's doing a good job.
13:51
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and the crazy part about that too, Perk, is that they're running between the tacos a lot more.
13:55
[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
13:56
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
13:56
[SPEAKER_05]: And that's what that's what it does usually get hurt.
13:59
[SPEAKER_05]: When you got to run up with them big ugly, man, between the tacos and, you know, and you know, you're not of the biggest stature.
14:07
[SPEAKER_05]: So I do love the fact that.
14:09
[SPEAKER_05]: you know that HN is being able to do that and when you say that, you know, we already know we didn't have broken ribs, they did X-rays at the game now in the MRI stoves is nothing major.
14:19
[SPEAKER_05]: I always know, anytime that's the situation, HN will be out there on Monday night.
14:25
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the bottom line right there, man.
14:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Because I see in guys, you know, play with worse.
14:30
[SPEAKER_05]: And now we know these guys are getting tougher as a season goes on.
14:34
[SPEAKER_05]: And you know, we saw what the other guys did, but eight channels that dude, man, that honestly, if they don't get him taken care of right now, it's going to cost him a lot more later.
14:44
[SPEAKER_05]: They better take care of it as soon as possible.
14:46
[SPEAKER_07]: and just you know what I don't want to happen.
14:49
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't want him to get to the final year of his contract and bet on himself and then he's so valuable that it's a Christian Wilkins Rob on situation where somebody else pays them and outrageous some and the dolphins are like, well, we can't afford that.
15:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Man, that'll let him go.
15:04
[SPEAKER_07]: Go match that.
15:05
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, right.
15:06
[SPEAKER_07]: They lock him up after this season.
15:08
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we've seen that movie before and it doesn't end well.
15:12
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
15:12
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I mean, those two guys are not good examples, right?
15:15
[SPEAKER_05]: Think about, think about what's going on with those two guys that we let go right now.
15:19
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, hunch plan alright, but Christian is like, I mean, that was a disaster for Raiders.
15:24
[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this, paying a guard or paying a defensive tackle $100 million dollars, a defensive tackle who doesn't get sex, $100 million is different than paying a back who scores touchdowns and droves.
15:40
[SPEAKER_02]: And although running backs and longevity and all that, those are all things to consider.
15:45
[SPEAKER_02]: But I like what you were saying about not getting hurt, and again, I don't want to jinx the guy.
15:52
[SPEAKER_02]: We heard Mike McDaniel was it last week where he talked about the draft process as he watched his film.
15:57
[SPEAKER_02]: He noticed that the guy never took direct hits.
16:00
[SPEAKER_02]: He carried the ball a lot.
16:03
[SPEAKER_02]: He always got a lot of yardage, but he found a way to not take direct hits and I think we see a lot of that too, Drew.
16:09
[SPEAKER_02]: He finds a way to kind of get small and get down.
16:12
[SPEAKER_02]: I always heard you talk about no one that kind of give up the fight.
16:15
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think we see that a lot was in.
16:17
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, good backs man.
16:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Good backs always want to do that.
16:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Man, you know, you don't you never want to take on too much smoke as a running back, man.
16:24
[SPEAKER_05]: No matter what,
16:25
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, as a running back, when you run in the defensive line with some linebackers, man, you get small, you get down.
16:31
[SPEAKER_05]: I like to create friendly fire when I play, like, you know, a corner wants to hold me up.
16:37
[SPEAKER_05]: And then he wants to let it save you, come clean me up.
16:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Nah, so that ain't happening here.
16:41
[SPEAKER_05]: I got so much deadweight coming, that the court, the safety's coming for you, plan.
16:46
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I mean, I'll be so deadweight.
16:48
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like a limp fish on that dude, man.
16:50
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
16:50
[SPEAKER_05]: And then the next thing you know, I saw, I got tied a lot knocked out one time.
16:55
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, the lawyer Maloria came for me and he knocked high out almost, you know, I mean, I would see there was no cousin protocol back then, so he stayed in the game, but yeah, he's tried to a player.
17:05
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, so he's doing getting skinny, getting down, protecting themselves, man.
17:09
[SPEAKER_05]: That's longevity.
17:10
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, another thing, longevity, see running back to all the time, getting picked up by alignment.
17:14
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, that preserves energy.
17:16
[SPEAKER_05]: There's all kinds of things that can help you as a running back in the NFL or any, any
17:24
[SPEAKER_05]: multiple weeks without getting hurt, man, but taking unnecessary contact.
17:29
[SPEAKER_05]: No, these these dudes are for real.
17:31
[SPEAKER_05]: I was I watched some hard hitting all weekend long, but you got to see, you got to see that, man.
17:36
[SPEAKER_05]: If you don't have that peripheral vision, that's on the periphery, they accept it.
17:40
[SPEAKER_05]: That's like a big word like mayonnaise on the periphery.
17:45
[SPEAKER_05]: You got to see all that.
17:46
[SPEAKER_05]: You got to see that, that contact coming, man.
17:49
[SPEAKER_05]: If you don't, then you just you run them like a horse, man.
17:52
[SPEAKER_05]: You can't be
17:53
[SPEAKER_02]: Well speaking of peripheral vision and contact, I'm familiar with that word because in that one hit season I had my mother actually took me to the doctor to see what the hell was wrong my eyes.
18:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going to meet you with my peripheral vision.
18:05
[SPEAKER_02]: So I did this.
18:07
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
18:07
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
18:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Can't wait.
18:08
[SPEAKER_01]: That won't be fair.
18:10
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the good.
18:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going to put that out there.
18:13
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I'm saying?
18:14
[SPEAKER_03]: They couldn't hit the curve ball.
18:15
[SPEAKER_03]: That was it.
18:16
[SPEAKER_03]: It was coming from the periphery.
18:17
[SPEAKER_03]: It was coming from the periphery.
18:19
[SPEAKER_03]: It was coming from the periphery.
18:20
[SPEAKER_06]: It was coming from the periphery.
18:21
[SPEAKER_06]: It was coming from the periphery.
18:22
[SPEAKER_06]: It was coming from the periphery.
18:24
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you got to watch out for it.
18:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, damn, I just saw a Bobby said there to give it up that number.
18:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, so again, I'm going to keep building on this running game.
18:34
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, 250 yards in the last game and they've become a running team.
18:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the Miami Dolphins just two years ago were reinventing offensive football, creating, right?
18:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, literally creating
18:46
[SPEAKER_02]: whatever the heck they called that, you know, that that release that Tyre Kiel had that team started to copy and was it legal, was it illegal, and seven of those same, and now there it is, the cheat notion.
18:59
[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's just a ground and pound offense.
19:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Perk, you had an interesting text to me earlier today about, you know, did they kind of discover this by accident, but isn't this what you wanted?
19:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't you want to see a physical running team?
19:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't you
19:15
[SPEAKER_07]: This is what I want it, but I don't think they were going to do that with Ty Rekeal on the field because I think Mike McDaniel's inclination was, I got to keep getting the ball to Ty Reke.
19:25
[SPEAKER_07]: I think this injury to Ty Reke is the best thing that happened to Mike McDaniel.
19:29
[SPEAKER_07]: I think is what could bring Mike McDaniel back in 2026 because if Ty Reke was out there, I could almost guarantee you he would still be trying to force that ball down field.
19:40
[SPEAKER_07]: from Tula's left arm to Tyreak speedy legs, and that wasn't working.
19:45
[SPEAKER_07]: And so what we're seeing here is kind of what happened with Jay-Ajai and Adam Gace, where you're just kind of struggling to find something more offensively in your past and offense, and all of a sudden the running game blows up, and you're like, damn.
20:00
[SPEAKER_07]: Hold up.
20:01
[SPEAKER_07]: Let me write this.
20:02
[SPEAKER_07]: And this isn't anything that might be Daniel planned.
20:05
[SPEAKER_07]: He kind of looked into it, but from the dolphin standpoint, it's great that he had the wisdom and foresight to stick with it.
20:13
[SPEAKER_07]: This was just kind of a happy accident, but he was smart enough to stick with it.
20:18
[SPEAKER_07]: And I think that the play calling
20:20
[SPEAKER_07]: and creativity is better.
20:22
[SPEAKER_07]: He's in his bag better as a run coordinator than as a pass coordinator.
20:27
[SPEAKER_07]: We saw the three guys in the back field, right?
20:29
[SPEAKER_07]: With Julian Hill and Alec Engel and Devon A-Chandis, that's like old school full of house backfield, the blocking angles.
20:37
[SPEAKER_07]: I'd like what we're seeing from Mike McDendell here.
20:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't forget sick crawfans of lime and either, right?
20:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's a great point, because he came here as a run game coordinate.
20:52
[SPEAKER_05]: He was a good release.
20:53
[SPEAKER_05]: That was his demo right there.
20:55
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, but his whole thing, no, when he came here, obviously was to get to a going.
20:59
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the video, the 400 clips of him doing whatever, you know, the phone call, everything was about getting to a go.
21:05
[SPEAKER_05]: Because everybody feels that's how the league works.
21:08
[SPEAKER_05]: You look at somebody's great quarterback set of that of
21:11
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, they've all leaned on a run game, you know, all of them are leaning on a run game that have been really, really successful.
21:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Payed mannings, you know, to, you know, one championship, I mean, it's hit, and he was stacked.
21:22
[SPEAKER_05]: He was stacked as a team already, but then when he went to Denver, they leaned on the defense and the run game.
21:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
21:29
[SPEAKER_05]: Terry Brass also in the Hall of Fame, I'm not gonna talk about that because that's the whole different story, but all they did was lean on the run game.
21:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:34
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:35
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:37
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:41
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:42
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Easy Chad.
21:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Easy Chad.
21:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Easy Chad.
21:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Easy Chad.
21:49
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:50
[SPEAKER_05]: Easy Chad.
21:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Easy Chad.
21:52
[SPEAKER_03]: MVP, you know what I'm talking about?
21:53
[SPEAKER_03]: What are you doing in the big games?
21:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm just asking.
21:55
[SPEAKER_05]: He won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he won, he
22:10
[SPEAKER_02]: You know the one thing you didn't do in the 70s.
22:12
[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't go undefeated.
22:14
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's keep it moving Hey, I just want to say that But I want to go back to something you said about the whole Tyree kill things the best thing because there's funny perk you are on record multiple times your best line that I've heard even other writers quote
22:31
[SPEAKER_02]: is the fact that the best weapon that the Dolphins had was Tyre Kill and the threat of Tyre Kill.
22:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
22:38
[SPEAKER_02]: But it turned out that maybe that wasn't the case.
22:41
[SPEAKER_02]: I almost did my try to tell y'all
22:44
[SPEAKER_02]: I was ready to move on from Tyree this off season for a lot of reasons and I think the most the biggest reason is the same reason that I was ready to move on from Jalen Ramsey as I think he undermined what Mike McDaniel was trying to accomplish and you know either your coach and it are allowed it to happen Mike McDaniel has to take ownership of that as well that he allowed it to happen.
23:04
[SPEAKER_02]: But I just felt that Tyreek, you know, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze, and he longer would Tyreek kill.
23:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I just felt that was the case.
23:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he is in all time.
23:15
[SPEAKER_02]: I want to make sure that I'm be, you know, everyone's so you're crazy because of what a talent he is.
23:20
[SPEAKER_02]: The generational talent, if I had a vote and I don't, although I do know a few people who do, if I had a vote for the Hall of Fame, whenever he's ready to me, he's a first ballot
23:29
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he is an all-time great, so I'm taking nothing away from Tyre Kill in terms of the quality of a player that he is, but it had gotten to the point where he became a addition by subtraction with him.
23:42
[SPEAKER_02]: And we've seen that.
23:43
[SPEAKER_02]: And the question is,
23:46
[SPEAKER_02]: If Tyre Kille was not a Miami dolphin at the start of this season, would they have found their way into the offense that we see now sooner and would that have served them well?
24:01
[SPEAKER_07]: When I think they would have and here's why because I thought in training camp, I thought that run game looked good with Alexander Madison.
24:08
[SPEAKER_07]: Alexander Madison and Willie Gay to me were two of the training camp standouts, but then Madison got that neck injury, but I thought that with, you know, you guys remember that Ty Reed missed the early part of training camp because of the oblique surgery, and then he missed later, what was it, a wrist injury or a tanned or
24:28
[SPEAKER_07]: Or no, I had that wrong.
24:29
[SPEAKER_07]: It was the risk surgery at the start.
24:31
[SPEAKER_07]: And then he had the oblique later on.
24:33
[SPEAKER_07]: So he wasn't out there for a lot of training camp.
24:36
[SPEAKER_07]: But they were, we saw the, the, to what to water connection, the best that it's probably been in the, at the NFL level.
24:44
[SPEAKER_07]: But we also saw Alexander Madison out there ballin.
24:48
[SPEAKER_07]: And I was thinking they're developing a different,
24:50
[SPEAKER_07]: offence of identity when Tyreet came back, they tried to force the ball to Tyreet again.
24:58
[SPEAKER_07]: I think Tyreet getting injured was a good thing for the development of this offense because it forced them to go somewhere else.
25:05
[SPEAKER_07]: They weren't, and you guys know how the good teams would just sit on Tyreet in Wattel in 2023 and 2024 neither Tyreet nor Wattel had a 100-year
25:18
[SPEAKER_07]: And that's why they were two and ten in that span.
25:21
[SPEAKER_07]: So now you're getting a better offensive result and offense that's hard to shut down.
25:27
[SPEAKER_07]: I think this has been a very positive thing for the dolphins, for Mike McDaniel, for the offensive line, right, who a lot of people thought was garbage.
25:37
[SPEAKER_07]: It's just been good, time of possession, everything.
25:40
[SPEAKER_07]: It's been good.
25:42
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
25:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
25:43
[SPEAKER_07]: Great.
25:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, and I, you know, the offensive line piece I want to get to that in a second, but since we're spending so much time talking about the offense, we have yet to mention the quarterback.
25:52
[SPEAKER_02]: And I think part of the reason is he's become less of a necessity in the way the team is playing and and they've even been, you know, when you rush for 250 yards, even when he's not at his best, it all worked out.
26:06
[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest news, and this isn't Dolphins news, but I want to make it a Dolphin Conversation, Philip Rivers is back, fellas, like, you know, I mean, that is a wild situation for so many reasons.
26:20
[SPEAKER_02]: His age, the absence, the fact that he was maybe two steps away from being a pro football hall of Famer, and now he's got to reset the clock on that a little bit.
26:29
[SPEAKER_02]: But it begs the question, one of the things that I thought was really important this off season is that the dolphins draft a promising young quarterback and they got a veteran quarterback that had success in the national football league.
26:42
[SPEAKER_02]: They got a veteran quarterback trying to do a reclamation project on Zach Wilson.
26:46
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how that's going.
26:47
[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't seem like it's going very well.
26:50
[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't seem like it's going very well.
26:52
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know because he hasn't really had to play.
26:55
[SPEAKER_02]: But my question for you is, and this is something Travis Winkfield, Juice and I were texting about earlier today, what do you think the dolphins quarterback room should look like next year?
27:06
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they run it back with this three, with the three that they have now.
27:11
[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, maybe you have to see another year in camp of Quinn yours.
27:15
[SPEAKER_02]: You got a young guy there, depends how the board falls in the draft.
27:20
[SPEAKER_02]: two is getting paid a lot of money.
27:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see a world where they're able to move on from him.
27:25
[SPEAKER_02]: Do they need a veteran quarterback?
27:27
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that, you know, I don't know who you dig up.
27:28
[SPEAKER_02]: How's Jeff George's release?
27:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Is this release so pretty good these days?
27:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know who you dig up, but James, what do you think that an offense quarterback room should look like next year?
27:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, it's going to be uh, it's going to be Tua, Marino, and you.
27:46
[SPEAKER_05]: That's going to be, and then I'll be the emergency quarterback.
27:51
[SPEAKER_02]: And we can do a story about a juice and maybe.
27:54
[SPEAKER_05]: Right, we're getting another one of these.
27:57
[SPEAKER_05]: We're getting that one.
27:57
[SPEAKER_05]: He's out of that.
28:00
[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be hard back.
28:02
[SPEAKER_05]: No, yeah.
28:03
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, and that's the thing about it, Seth.
28:04
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, we are, here's the thing about this whole thing.
28:10
[SPEAKER_05]: You keep saying we keep saying everything is all.
28:15
[SPEAKER_05]: flexible right now in terms of everybody's position next year.
28:19
[SPEAKER_05]: Right?
28:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Think about this.
28:21
[SPEAKER_05]: If this team goes on this run, we're talking about 7 and 7, 8 and 7.
28:26
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, 9 and 7, 10 and 7 and it's a formula that works.
28:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Of course, two is going to get every opportunity next year to be the starter again, because we have to have him now, what if they go on a run and two is role has been to the role that has been in these last few weeks of football and the teams have been playing successfully.
28:46
[SPEAKER_05]: He will stay in that role, man.
28:48
[SPEAKER_05]: He will stay there.
28:49
[SPEAKER_05]: He will stay as the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins.
28:52
[SPEAKER_05]: If the Dolphins, that which are biggest problems being getting off to a good start, one and six definitely didn't help.
28:57
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean, right there is a problem already, but if they're going to September next year, you know, and playing the same type of ball they're playing in November and December, that to a safe, Mike is safe.
29:10
[SPEAKER_05]: They're going to be safe.
29:12
[SPEAKER_05]: Depend on how everything pans out right now.
29:14
[SPEAKER_05]: So with that being said, you always have to have a quality back up that can come in there and give you To the possibly three games just in case because not only that every team has that issue right you see it not every team has an issue with the quarterback missing a couple games possibly and we've been blessed that two has been healthy to hold season for us.
29:34
[SPEAKER_05]: Right, no, that's always a possibility we might lose him.
29:38
[SPEAKER_05]: So when it comes to the backup position, I like the guys that have been in the system for a while because the system is complex.
29:44
[SPEAKER_05]: I call it a difficult before, but I'm just told that that's a call.
29:48
[SPEAKER_02]: You have been, yes, you've adjusted that.
29:50
[SPEAKER_05]: I've adjusted that.
29:51
[SPEAKER_05]: I've adjusted to come and place.
29:53
[SPEAKER_05]: All right, you can do that immediately.
29:56
[SPEAKER_05]: And so it is complex.
29:57
[SPEAKER_05]: So you've got to be able to, as a quarterback, be able to go through all that and sign for through all that.
30:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I'd love to fact that, you know,
30:06
[SPEAKER_05]: and two I've been together for four years now it's gonna be five years and who knows what can happen if they stay to this game plan.
30:15
[SPEAKER_05]: We know, here's my thing.
30:17
[SPEAKER_05]: Two of is a $50 million a year game manager to me.
30:23
[SPEAKER_05]: That's okay with me if that's when in football games.
30:26
[SPEAKER_05]: If that's winning football games, that's all I care about.
30:29
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to win some games, so he's going to go out and win a couple of games for us.
30:32
[SPEAKER_05]: But if that's the case, and we win football games, I don't care what you how he handles it, how he gets it done.
30:38
[SPEAKER_05]: But he's got that locker room that likes him, big Seth, that locker room likes him, and that's half the battle, man.
30:45
[SPEAKER_05]: They like to, and I, you know.
30:48
[SPEAKER_05]: We have to, too, if we want to see him go out there and be successful.
30:51
[SPEAKER_05]: But it all goes into this week against the Sariah Steelers.
30:55
[SPEAKER_05]: There's a two-home games right after that.
30:57
[SPEAKER_05]: And I just do that for Chad.
31:00
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
31:02
[SPEAKER_03]: It's funny because I was on a steward's podcast and they were talking about the Sariahs.
31:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, of course they do.
31:07
[SPEAKER_03]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:08
[SPEAKER_03]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:09
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:10
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:11
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:12
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:14
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:15
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:16
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking about the Sariahs.
31:16
[SPEAKER_05]: We can be talking
31:17
[SPEAKER_05]: People like you know, how do you lose to the psorias brands and with a brown stock, we would psorias dolphins when they'd be like, you got to get it.
31:23
[SPEAKER_05]: We work.
31:24
[SPEAKER_05]: We work.
31:25
[SPEAKER_05]: We work.
31:26
[SPEAKER_05]: I get it, you know.
31:27
[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, say what you want about two over.
31:29
[SPEAKER_02]: At least he isn't wearing a thong.
31:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's all I got to say.
31:33
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what the hell's going on over there.
31:36
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
31:37
[SPEAKER_02]: So, it's fair.
31:37
[SPEAKER_02]: What about you?
31:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Who's out there?
31:39
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know if you've focused on that.
31:41
[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe we don't need to focus on next year.
31:43
[SPEAKER_02]: But who?
31:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Is there a veteran quarterback that you think makes more sense than Zach Wilson for this team next year?
31:50
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what contract situations are, but like, uh, I always like Andy Dalton.
31:55
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, I like, look, Matt Jones did a nice job out in San Francisco this year, didn't he?
31:59
[SPEAKER_07]: When he played for Brock Perty, so they're, they're, they're guys out there, um, that, um, that can do the job.
32:07
[SPEAKER_07]: I will say this.
32:08
[SPEAKER_07]: One thing that's going on to me and the NFL this year is we're seeing teams doing it.
32:14
[SPEAKER_07]: without that superstar quarterback necessarily leading the way, right?
32:19
[SPEAKER_07]: Lamar Jackson might not make the playoffs.
32:22
[SPEAKER_07]: Joe Burrow is not going to make the playoffs.
32:26
[SPEAKER_07]: Patrick Mahomes might not make the playoffs.
32:28
[SPEAKER_07]: And so of the elite quarterbacks, okay, Matt Stafford and Josh Allen are going to be in there.
32:33
[SPEAKER_07]: But you look at some of the other teams at the top.
32:35
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think you can say that Bow Knicks is a great quarterback, right?
32:39
[SPEAKER_07]: He's got a great defense playing for him.
32:42
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, what's our vocabulary of William's in Chicago.
32:45
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know that he's a great quarterback, but his team is having a good season.
32:49
[SPEAKER_07]: So this brings me back to Tua and the emphasis on Tua that coincides with the dolphin success.
32:57
[SPEAKER_07]: And I think it shows you that you don't necessarily have to ride a quarterbacks rider left arm to success.
33:04
[SPEAKER_07]: you need your quarterback to make timely plays, not carry the offense, and so you know when we see what's happening with Tua and we see what's happening with some of the other quarterbacks in the backup quarterbacks also, there's not as much pressure on those guys to say.
33:25
[SPEAKER_03]: We lost them.
33:25
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't want you.
33:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Verizon.
33:26
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not an echo, though, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's not a echo, it's
33:39
[SPEAKER_03]: When you pay a quarterback, the money that they're making now, it just crushes the rest of your roster.
33:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And even if they are as incredible as Lamar Jackson, it is hard to overcome that.
33:51
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's why like a bone mix is working.
33:54
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is on rookie deal.
33:55
[SPEAKER_03]: You surround them with the right pieces.
33:57
[SPEAKER_03]: So I think there's going to be a regression where people are saying, we're not going to pay $16 million to a guy anymore.
34:04
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to pay 30, 35.
34:06
[SPEAKER_03]: 25 and what do you guys think about that because we're seeing it even with like these guys that maybe future Hall of Famers and with Lamar Jackson obviously is a future Hall of Famer.
34:17
[SPEAKER_03]: What do you guys think about that?
34:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think most of these teams right now are looking for younger quarterbacks.
34:23
[SPEAKER_05]: because of the money that is invested into the older quarterbacks.
34:28
[SPEAKER_05]: It has to be that way.
34:29
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
34:30
[SPEAKER_05]: And then they bring in the older quarterback as back up for 8 to 10 million dollars a year.
34:34
[SPEAKER_05]: And that's a lot cheaper than what they would do.
34:37
[SPEAKER_05]: But at some time, Chad, these quarterbacks are good.
34:41
[SPEAKER_05]: Only time they become great is when they're good over a number of years.
34:45
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
34:46
[SPEAKER_05]: And so if they become really, if they become great over a number of years, you got to find a way to pay the man.
34:51
[SPEAKER_05]: And we all can go back to what Tom Brady did and not take all the bag.
34:55
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, having to take on all the bag is a problem for most of these teams.
34:59
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, so if you don't take all the bag, you can still surround yourself with some great players.
35:04
[SPEAKER_05]: But the same time, no, man.
35:06
[SPEAKER_05]: These guys are, you know, they're going to get paid and it's going to continue to grow in my opinion.
35:11
[SPEAKER_03]: But Jews, to a, if he would have made a more team-friendly deal, and they could have surrounded him with better parts, better offensive line, and now I'll let you guys discuss that, he's gonna make more money over the life of his career and have a healthier career, like we may be seeing this with Jalen Hurts right now.
35:29
[SPEAKER_03]: and obviously he got paid and he hasn't looked so great at any more.
35:35
[SPEAKER_03]: And when Tula took all that money, obviously, the dolphins had to make some decisions.
35:39
[SPEAKER_03]: So I think we're seeing it in a real time.
35:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, I think it's fair point.
35:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I think we can go to Jane and her to be a quick with that Philly.
35:48
[SPEAKER_05]: Philly what Philly's done is they all fence makes all the money.
35:51
[SPEAKER_05]: and their defense is super young, you know what I mean?
35:54
[SPEAKER_05]: They've drafted well, a lot of defensive guys that made, you know, minimal money when it comes to that.
35:59
[SPEAKER_05]: So they able to work that balance out.
36:00
[SPEAKER_05]: At some point, they're trying to pay the paper on the offensive side because these defensive guys are going to come and they're going to have to make some money for those guys because they're going to get there or they're going to lose them, you know what I mean?
36:12
[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, you're right.
36:14
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, honestly,
36:15
[SPEAKER_05]: I hate to, I mean, I hate to put my hand in anybody's pocket, honestly, but if somebody can make 40 million a year, instead of 50 million a year, I think that'd be a great deal for that extra 10 million to make them a competitive team, but you got to make sure a lot of that money is guaranteed for those guys like it is, and so you take less, because they're going to make, these quarterbacks are going to make 50 a year, that's the line right now, you know, but if I can take, if I'm a quarterback and I can say, you know what,
36:46
[SPEAKER_05]: instead of 15, you guarantee me more money.
36:48
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, hell, if I live in Buffalo or Green Bay, yeah, that's it, that's a hundred million dollars.
36:59
[SPEAKER_03]: You guys will know it's better than I, when the quarterbacks go into these negotiations, do they have the power to say, look, I'll take a little bit less, but I want you to pay my offensive line.
37:07
[SPEAKER_03]: I want you to pay my left tackle a little bit more.
37:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I want you to bring this wide receiver back or is that,
37:12
[SPEAKER_03]: That doesn't go into those negotiations.
37:14
[SPEAKER_05]: How's it going to work on that?
37:15
[SPEAKER_05]: It's not going to work on that.
37:17
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the agent.
37:18
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the agent.
37:18
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the quarterback.
37:19
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the agent that ain't going for that shit.
37:22
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
37:22
[SPEAKER_07]: And you're exactly right.
37:23
[SPEAKER_07]: Jews, the agents.
37:24
[SPEAKER_07]: They don't want the market to go down.
37:26
[SPEAKER_07]: They don't want the market to go backward.
37:28
[SPEAKER_07]: And I'll tell you this also.
37:29
[SPEAKER_07]: Tool was telling us when he got his extension.
37:32
[SPEAKER_07]: There's a text trade along quarterbacks.
37:34
[SPEAKER_07]: And everybody was congratulating him.
37:36
[SPEAKER_07]: Yo, you reset the bar.
37:38
[SPEAKER_07]: Thanks.
37:39
[SPEAKER_07]: Good job.
37:39
[SPEAKER_07]: You're moving it again.
37:41
[SPEAKER_07]: juices exactly right.
37:42
[SPEAKER_07]: They don't want the market going backwards.
37:44
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we have heard that the market is the market.
37:46
[SPEAKER_02]: It's enough talking about that.
37:48
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I don't know.
37:49
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
37:49
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
37:49
[SPEAKER_05]: I got it.
37:51
[SPEAKER_05]: I got to tell you in story.
37:52
[SPEAKER_05]: I got to tell you a quick story.
37:53
[SPEAKER_05]: And Marino tells the story best.
37:55
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?
37:56
[SPEAKER_05]: When Marino became the first million dollar year quarterback in NFL.
38:02
[SPEAKER_05]: He's planning his their plan to get the send the eagle charges right then, you know, back in the day and you know, then fouls look across the winning marino set that bar then fouls like I'm next I'm next because that bar keeps you set like that man, you know what I mean?
38:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, man.
38:19
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like it's going to continue to be set.
38:22
[SPEAKER_05]: And only thing that's really changed because the side of bonus is in those number one overall picks.
38:27
[SPEAKER_05]: They've changed all that because they've been making $60, 70 million right away.
38:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, throwing a pass.
38:33
[SPEAKER_05]: But the rest of it, man, once they get in the league, man, and get past that rookie deal, the money's just huge for those boys.
38:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no doubt, no doubt.
38:42
[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh,
38:42
[SPEAKER_02]: going kind of the opposite direction and I want to move into we're going to get into I tried to tell y'all and then we'll get into the Chadburn horn legal zone.
38:51
[SPEAKER_02]: So if you've got your legal questions perk and everybody else, make sure you get them out there.
38:55
[SPEAKER_02]: But I do have to shout out or sue Douglas.
38:57
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, here's the guy who wasn't even on the team to start the season.
39:00
[SPEAKER_02]: He just won defensive play or the week.
39:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's really cool to see how and I think somebody tweeted this.
39:06
[SPEAKER_02]: But all of these areas that everybody was concerned about.
39:11
[SPEAKER_02]: for the Miami Dolphins to defensive backfield is now a strength.
39:15
[SPEAKER_02]: The play of the rookies is now a strength.
39:19
[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line is now a strength.
39:22
[SPEAKER_02]: The running game is now a strength.
39:24
[SPEAKER_02]: So all of these things have kind of flipped.
39:27
[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's pretty cool to see that.
39:28
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's move into, I try to tell y'all just so we can stay on time a little bit since this is the late night deal.
39:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And we gotta make sure Bobby can get back to
39:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I can't talk about doing fine.
39:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I could have, what do you thought?
39:45
[SPEAKER_03]: What are you talking about?
39:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, two, so clearly, somebody somewhere to be.
39:49
[SPEAKER_03]: I think maybe he's going to work.
39:51
[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to the batting cages tonight.
39:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to work.
39:55
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
39:56
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
39:57
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
39:58
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:00
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:02
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:03
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:03
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:05
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:06
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to work.
40:07
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
40:07
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
40:08
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
40:08
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
40:09
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
40:10
[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to work.
40:11
[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
40:12
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
40:13
[SPEAKER_02]: What are your thoughts on that juice on all of the things that people were concerned about?
40:18
[SPEAKER_02]: People wanted to fire the general manager over and now we're seeing so many of these things are how they're winning.
40:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Right, right, so we're talking about that by the way.
40:32
[SPEAKER_05]: Are we going there?
40:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Are we talking about trying to tell you, Seth, where are we at?
40:36
[SPEAKER_02]: I, where would you like to go?
40:38
[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that I was going to try to tell you all in your guys.
40:40
[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, let me say, let me say this real quick.
40:43
[SPEAKER_07]: Let me say this real quick on on my podcast last week.
40:47
[SPEAKER_07]: I tried to bring up to Dave.
40:48
[SPEAKER_07]: Hi, that exact topic, Seth.
40:51
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, we put a little more respect on Chris Greer's name because we're seeing it wasn't personnel.
40:58
[SPEAKER_07]: It was strategy and philosophy that was that was holding this team.
41:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't try to tell you all that.
41:04
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, and hi, hi, just dismiss me like I'm, you know, buddy fool for or something.
41:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we know that I love baby.
41:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Who is that?
41:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Who is that?
41:12
[SPEAKER_07]: That's exactly exactly exactly juice.
41:14
[SPEAKER_07]: So, but, but I'm not saying that Chris Greer should still have his job.
41:19
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm just saying that the man didn't put together a team devoid of talent.
41:25
[SPEAKER_07]: I always thought the talent was deployed incorrectly and we'll get into this with the
41:31
[SPEAKER_07]: This wasn't a talent problem.
41:34
[SPEAKER_07]: This was a strategy and philosophy problem, and now that strategy and philosophy have been addressed through the running game and a less emphasis on the big play pass game, your offense is getting you some good results.
41:49
[SPEAKER_07]: The offensive line comment that we're made.
41:52
[SPEAKER_07]: We're not laughing at them right now.
41:54
[SPEAKER_07]: We like chocolate or smile.
41:55
[SPEAKER_07]: Right laughing at him.
41:57
[SPEAKER_02]: No, you're absolutely right.
41:59
[SPEAKER_02]: I look and I'm reading here.
42:00
[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't keep players home.
42:02
[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
42:02
[SPEAKER_02]: I love you.
42:03
[SPEAKER_02]: But like then the other criticism was he wasn't jumping on the trade deadline, right?
42:07
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and they could and then what did they do?
42:09
[SPEAKER_02]: They traded a former first round traffic.
42:12
[SPEAKER_02]: He would've got pride for that.
42:13
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so it's like, I don't know, man.
42:16
[SPEAKER_05]: I just don't know what no, but big set though.
42:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Also, don't you, and per correct me for a
42:22
[SPEAKER_05]: GMs also are responsible for draft picks.
42:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, some free agents and just pressure on them and those guys to play.
42:32
[SPEAKER_05]: Do they not have conversations with head coaches about guys playing or not playing?
42:37
[SPEAKER_05]: Because they've got to make it make it right that they went out and got these guys.
42:43
[SPEAKER_05]: No, I can't imagine that some guys don't get preferential treatment because they were drafted in the third place or they picked up and free agency compared to other guys that are on the roster.
42:52
[SPEAKER_05]: Man, I mean, that's got to be part of it too, no.
42:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think that does and look, you know, Chris Greer's drafts were not good.
43:01
[SPEAKER_07]: Um, his his free agency was was so so, but his his drafts were not good, especially at the top of the draft.
43:09
[SPEAKER_07]: And, um, you know, it's picked up.
43:11
[SPEAKER_07]: here recently, but that's that's a big part of of Chris Greer's thing.
43:16
[SPEAKER_07]: I think another big part of Chris Greer's thing was he had no vision.
43:20
[SPEAKER_07]: He accepted whatever the head coach put out there.
43:23
[SPEAKER_07]: So that's right for Adam.
43:25
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, for Adam Gaze, for Brian Flores and for for Joe for Chris Mike McDaniel, it was kind of whatever they wanted.
43:32
[SPEAKER_07]: There was no guiding force.
43:34
[SPEAKER_07]: And so when you got a new
43:40
[SPEAKER_07]: Those are the reasons that Rear is going, but again, to me, it wasn't, it wasn't personnel, it was lack of vision and, and, and, and, and the field stuff more than the roster and the talent that was on the roster.
43:55
[SPEAKER_07]: Got it.
43:55
[SPEAKER_07]: Got it.
43:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Got it.
43:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Got it.
43:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Got it.
43:56
[UNKNOWN]: Got it.
43:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
43:57
[SPEAKER_02]: Fair enough.
43:58
[SPEAKER_02]: Fair enough.
43:58
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, with your permission, gentlemen, I'd love to move into.
44:03
[SPEAKER_02]: I tried to tell you all.
44:05
[SPEAKER_05]: You want to kick it off
44:09
[SPEAKER_05]: All right, y'all.
44:10
[SPEAKER_05]: I try to tell y'all the only way the dolphins can win games is if they lean on the run game and defense those two factors They play well in the month of December in NFL.
44:21
[SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.
44:23
[SPEAKER_05]: We had a dynamic offense with Tariq and water into a McDaniel back in the day, but that doesn't play well in the nutcutting days of December.
44:33
[SPEAKER_05]: The ability to run the ball is crucial.
44:35
[SPEAKER_05]: Did you guys see the weather on Sunday?
44:37
[SPEAKER_05]: It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't great.
44:40
[SPEAKER_05]: You can't really toss the rock around the yard, and some of those conditions that we're going to see moving forward.
44:46
[SPEAKER_05]: You had to pound the rock and play physical defense.
44:49
[SPEAKER_05]: And that's what the fins are absolutely doing.
44:52
[SPEAKER_05]: This last four quarter of the season is what the dolphins have prepared themselves for.
44:57
[SPEAKER_05]: Finally, we all know that A-Channis
45:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Look out, Jayla Wright, and I'll be going the second, picked up a slot with a chain went out with rib injury.
45:10
[SPEAKER_05]: Big, powerful, tough running when they knew we were going to run the rock.
45:15
[SPEAKER_05]: That's winning football on shitty weather fellas, and which is what we have to do from here on out.
45:23
[SPEAKER_05]: Most people don't know this big set.
45:24
[SPEAKER_05]: I know you know this, but most people don't know this, and I was a running back
45:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Google me, everybody's Google me.
45:33
[SPEAKER_05]: When the best and Cleveland history, Google me, I've still got some records there, dogs.
45:37
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, total in the rock was my life.
45:39
[SPEAKER_05]: So I support the ground and pound mentality, even though I'm a one, I would see what I supported.
45:44
[SPEAKER_05]: I supported, you know, and I'm glad that the dogs have finally adopted that and taking the pressure off the tour.
45:50
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the recipe to get us to 7 and 7, 8 and 7, 9 and 7, 10 and 7.
45:57
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm all in, man, and I try to tell you all.
46:00
[SPEAKER_02]: Nice.
46:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Nice.
46:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And then, hey, Bobby said, Jews, Bobby said he tried to tell you that he was getting you complimentary football for your birthday.
46:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And I guess he did.
46:09
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, well, he didn't have to loatly.
46:12
[SPEAKER_05]: Very nice.
46:13
[SPEAKER_05]: That's a loatly.
46:14
[SPEAKER_02]: Chris, partly.
46:15
[SPEAKER_02]: Coming off the IR.
46:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Just like Aaron Waller.
46:19
[SPEAKER_02]: What did you try to tell me?
46:21
[SPEAKER_07]: That's it.
46:22
[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, I tried to tell y'all that this dolphins can't win and coal weather thing is a myth.
46:28
[SPEAKER_07]: It's just all made up.
46:30
[SPEAKER_07]: It's just stuff that fits a narrative that people want to put out there, but it's not true.
46:35
[SPEAKER_07]: In the Tua, Mike McDaniel era, the dolphins are one in five and coal weather games.
46:42
[SPEAKER_07]: The first victory come in last week in New York.
46:46
[SPEAKER_07]: I consider cold weather for this purpose, 45 degrees or below at kickoff, okay?
46:52
[SPEAKER_07]: And so here are the games that they played in those conditions.
46:55
[SPEAKER_07]: 2020, 2020, in Buffalo, they lost 32 to 29.
46:58
[SPEAKER_07]: Then the playoffs that year in Buffalo, they lost 34 to 31.
47:04
[SPEAKER_07]: in Kansas City in the playoff, they lose 26 to 7 and then last year in Green Bay, on Thanksgiving, they lose, I can't remember that score.
47:14
[SPEAKER_07]: 26 to 10?
47:14
[SPEAKER_07]: No, I like that.
47:16
[SPEAKER_07]: And then they also lost the finale last year in New York to the Jets in a cold weather.
47:24
[SPEAKER_07]: They win this year, so that's one in five, but I'll tell you this.
47:27
[SPEAKER_07]: in, in four of those games, if they were played in September at Hard Rock Stadium, the Dolphins probably wouldn't have won, right?
47:36
[SPEAKER_07]: The two games against Buffalo in 2022, the playoff game against Kansas City, and then the game against Green Bay last year on Thanksgiving, in all four of those games, the better team won.
47:48
[SPEAKER_07]: The Dolphins didn't lose last year in that season finale because it was cold.
47:53
[SPEAKER_07]: They lost with Ty Reak with the arm out, bro, and not going back in the game, and the score of the Denver game, and they saw that they weren't going to make the playoffs.
48:02
[SPEAKER_07]: That's more why they lost that game.
48:04
[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm going to say that the cold weather myth which will come up again Monday night in Pittsburgh, it's a false hood.
48:12
[SPEAKER_07]: Don't buy into it.
48:14
[SPEAKER_07]: I tried to tell y'all.
48:16
[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, some witchy bro, let's go.
48:20
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, there it is.
48:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, fellas, I tried to tell you all that stranger things have happened than the Miami Dolphins making the playoffs after a two and seven star.
48:34
[SPEAKER_02]: And sure, two a tongue of Ilo has been trapped in the upside down for most of the season.
48:38
[SPEAKER_02]: And Tyrie Hill, he likely met the same fate as poor bar.
48:42
[SPEAKER_02]: But,
48:43
[SPEAKER_02]: and this is a spoiler alert for those of you who haven't even watched this season 5 yet.
48:47
[SPEAKER_02]: But if we'll damn buyers can transform from a crybaby into a superhero, the Jonas of Vainaya can become Steve Hutchinson.
48:55
[SPEAKER_02]: And no you geeks, I said Steve Hutchinson, not Steve Harrington.
49:00
[SPEAKER_02]: I tried to tell y'all that stranger things have happened.
49:03
[SPEAKER_02]: than what we're seeing with our Miami Dolphins fellas.
49:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, things looked lost at 2 and 7, but when you're battling a demigorgan of a season, all it takes are 11 touchdowns from the reigning AFC player the month, Devon H and to get things back on track.
49:18
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right, do the math, 7 rushing and four receiving touchdowns for H and adds up to
49:24
[SPEAKER_02]: 11, if that number means anything to you.
49:27
[SPEAKER_02]: And as HN has become a bonafide rock star, Jalen Wright reminded us why the dolphins were right to trade up for him with his performances past game.
49:36
[SPEAKER_02]: And by the way, HN wore number six at Texas A&M, Jalen Wright currently wears number
49:46
[SPEAKER_02]: Stranger things have happened than the minigalphins making a playoff run folks, and let's not forget about the dolphins defense, which has its own fleet of Demi dogs running rampant out there from Brooks to Chub Douglas to Jack Jones, Minka to Tyrell Dodson, who, by the way, last season war,
50:06
[SPEAKER_02]: Number 11, stranger things have happened gentlemen and since I'm reaching a bit with this 11 thing let's not forget who the apple of 11's eye is.
50:17
[SPEAKER_02]: The love of her life.
50:19
[SPEAKER_02]: It's Mike.
50:20
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
50:20
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, when when all else fails who does 11 turn to or will turn to or even Holly this season they lean on that scrawny little geek but worthy hero
50:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Mike, because Mike McDaniel has taken his punches this year, many of which were deserved, but damn it if his team hasn't quit on him.
50:40
[SPEAKER_02]: If he hasn't flipped things upside down himself, change his offense and found a way to save the Dolphin season from a mineflayer and absolute despair.
50:49
[SPEAKER_02]: I tried to tell y'all that stranger things have happened that a Miami Dolphin is making a playoff for unfellers and wouldn't you know it?
50:55
[SPEAKER_02]: There are four episodes left in this season to see how things are going to turn out.
51:00
[SPEAKER_07]: That's what I don't know.
51:03
[SPEAKER_05]: There we go.
51:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I like it.
51:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I like it.
51:07
[SPEAKER_05]: I like it.
51:07
[SPEAKER_05]: That's man over there.
51:09
[SPEAKER_05]: That was fire.
51:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Now I got to watch damn series.
51:14
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I heard all this play.
51:16
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I got it.
51:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, two good, two good.
51:21
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that brings us to the long-awaited Chad Van Horn,
51:30
[SPEAKER_02]: featuring Chris Perkins and who else.
51:33
[SPEAKER_02]: So get your questions in the chat.
51:35
[SPEAKER_02]: If you have any legal questions, but Perk, you, I mean, we haven't seen in a month.
51:40
[SPEAKER_02]: I know you got some shit that's going on over there at the crib.
51:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
51:43
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you got what this, this is it.
51:45
[SPEAKER_07]: So here's, here's a very topical one for chat.
51:48
[SPEAKER_07]: So Chad, you know, when I used to cover high school football, we just always had these lawsuits where there would be a illegal player at one school and they would take them to court and they would sue them and get an injunction and hold up the playoffs.
52:02
[SPEAKER_07]: Let's go to college football.
52:05
[SPEAKER_07]: should Notre Dame be able to sue the college football playoff selection committee for being snubbed and what would be the the the offshoot of that could they hold up the playoffs and get an injunction and have a judge here there case we should have been in the should that be able to happen because it does happen in high school sports.
52:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So so part you live in my
52:30
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so there used to be a, there used to be a billboard on Miami.
52:34
[SPEAKER_03]: It was who can I sue.com?
52:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you ever saw that.
52:38
[SPEAKER_07]: I like that.
52:39
[SPEAKER_07]: I like it.
52:41
[SPEAKER_03]: It was, it was a legit company that a friend of mine started.
52:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Who can I sue.com?
52:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Because the American system,
52:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, first off, the American system says 23, 13 Steelers on Monday.
52:56
[SPEAKER_03]: The American system says you can legitimately sue anybody for any reason, even if it's a really, really bad lawsuit.
53:07
[SPEAKER_03]: And you know that Notre Dame has some smart people, and they have a lot of money, and they will find the right court.
53:16
[SPEAKER_03]: with probably a Notre Dame alum as a judge.
53:21
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a whole lot of them.
53:23
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a whole lot of them, right?
53:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's a forum shop in and all that is real.
53:28
[SPEAKER_03]: So obviously, the way it played out, and there's a lot of money at stake here too.
53:34
[SPEAKER_03]: You guys know how that works.
53:35
[SPEAKER_03]: So I've seen parents sue their kids.
53:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen so many ridiculous lawsuits out there
53:44
[SPEAKER_03]: That was damn hard for parents to win their kids thing is that was saying, but that's a turning client privilege.
53:54
[SPEAKER_03]: He was just a little disappointed in his children, he thought he'd be taller.
54:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Bit in all reality.
54:04
[SPEAKER_03]: If you have, and especially, you're going to have pro bono lawyers lining up to represent Notre Dame, right?
54:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's what they're name on it, right?
54:14
[SPEAKER_03]: It's what they're name on it, exactly.
54:15
[SPEAKER_03]: And there isn't argument to be made.
54:18
[SPEAKER_03]: So I wouldn't doubt it because, and that's why you don't see it in the NFL, because there's all the arbitration provisions of what not, that Notre Dame is so...
54:30
[SPEAKER_03]: It's so specific in the agreements that they come into, even with the ACC with the NCAA, what not, they're not going to sign an agreement that does not allow them to have leverage.
54:41
[SPEAKER_03]: And they do have leverage, obviously they're a brand.
54:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not a Notre Dame fan, but I, I guess that was sort of, most of us are.
54:49
[SPEAKER_05]: Did you also go to Notre Dame just, yeah, they were number two, Chad.
54:52
[SPEAKER_05]: They were number two.
54:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
54:54
[SPEAKER_03]: One more thing for the Brown.
54:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Two, but now they're number 12.
54:56
[SPEAKER_05]: And my list of things I like.
54:59
[SPEAKER_03]: So part to answer your question 100% it is a viable lawsuit and it really can screw some things up and obviously I think that the
55:10
[SPEAKER_03]: The entity to blame for this is the ACC.
55:13
[SPEAKER_03]: The way they had their championship game was just ridiculous.
55:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
55:16
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that should have been Miami, Virginia.
55:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And then the winner goes and then and then actually Notre Dame would have gone as well.
55:21
[SPEAKER_03]: And that would have been it.
55:22
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah.
55:23
[SPEAKER_05]: That's good question.
55:24
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
55:25
[SPEAKER_05]: In Chad, you know, I think with the ACC questions, a great one, man, because I think what they need to do is what the Big Ten did.
55:30
[SPEAKER_05]: And it's just one big conference.
55:31
[SPEAKER_05]: Period.
55:32
[SPEAKER_05]: That's two teams at the end of the day.
55:34
[SPEAKER_05]: Make it a thing.
55:34
[SPEAKER_05]: Now Chad, I've got, you know, I've got some, some privilege information, not anything specific about, you know, when it comes to like bankruptcy with you, when it comes to guys that have some means, but they also have some hardware at home.
55:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't bring that up.
55:52
[SPEAKER_05]: You've got hardware at home.
55:53
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not talking about me specifically, I'm saying, but you know some guys that want some major hardware and when it comes to, when they're found for bankruptcy, all things like this are considered like an asset, correct?
56:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you know what's amazing about them.
56:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Glad you brought this up, because I was thinking about it.
56:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Because Seth called me about some issues he's dealing with, but, um, no, the baseball issue is talking about it.
56:22
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to slow us up, Tom, but it's fun.
56:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
56:26
[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's what's really great is a lot of the companies that give awards, Grammys, Emmys, Heisman, whatever.
56:38
[SPEAKER_03]: they put a restriction on being able to sell that item.
56:42
[SPEAKER_03]: So even if you end up filing liquidation magazines each chapter seven, there are certain items that these entities do not want going up bid for the highest seller.
56:52
[SPEAKER_03]: So they have a buyback provision for a dollar that if it ever comes up for sale, a four sale or whatnot,
56:58
[SPEAKER_03]: they buy it back for a dollar and then they give it back to the recipient after they buy it back for that dollar, which I think is brilliant and it should be for and whoever's watching this and by the way, there's some really input.
57:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I went to a big brother's big sister's board meeting yesterday and the number one topic within my group was they were talking about my baby on the way.
57:18
[SPEAKER_03]: God bless her and Gabby.
57:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Number two was everybody watching the fish tank.
57:22
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, how did you get on the fish tank?
57:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, how did you know about the fish
57:28
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, I'm in a dolphin stare.
57:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize they're actually dolphin spans out there I thought it was just us hanging out It's about cut as Mike cut as Mike And questions what I'll do By the way
57:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Where is Miami?
57:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I need an M.E.
57:48
[SPEAKER_03]: too.
57:50
[SPEAKER_03]: We need the M.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E.E
58:02
[SPEAKER_03]: I hate my hands look big.
58:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll get it.
58:04
[SPEAKER_02]: It's for magnets.
58:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got our Things like a weapon.
58:08
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a weapon.
58:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh Yeah, that's good.
58:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's good.
58:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's good.
58:13
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
58:14
[SPEAKER_02]: We got a couple more minutes.
58:15
[SPEAKER_07]: Any more legal questions for I do I got a condo condo related one the power the per cow or let's do it the per cow or
58:23
[SPEAKER_03]: So, 2313, I said, per 2313.
58:29
[SPEAKER_07]: 2313, you're down for it, you're down for it.
58:34
[SPEAKER_07]: So at our condo, at our pool, we have this deck that extends out into disgain bay, and the deck was ruled illegal because we built it without, you know, without the proper certification.
58:49
[SPEAKER_07]: So it's even ruled that we have to tear it down, but nothing has happened in like a year and a half.
58:57
[SPEAKER_07]: What happened?
58:58
[SPEAKER_07]: Like if we don't actually tear it down, will the county or the city come and tear it down?
59:04
[SPEAKER_07]: And if so, like do we have to pay for that?
59:07
[SPEAKER_07]: Or does the city obviously the city's not going to pay so?
59:11
[SPEAKER_07]: So what could hack it?
59:12
[SPEAKER_07]: This thing stay up there indefinitely or what happens?
59:18
[SPEAKER_03]: So first of all, I didn't realize you're rich, rich.
59:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you, good for you
59:42
[SPEAKER_02]: And that afternoon money where they don't care about for me.
59:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, come for us.
59:48
[SPEAKER_06]: Come here, bro.
59:49
[SPEAKER_03]: This guy.
59:51
[SPEAKER_03]: So here's what you're going to do part.
59:53
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
59:54
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I know that you work for for for newspaper, right?
59:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
59:59
[SPEAKER_03]: And there was just an election that happened down in Miami.
1:00:02
[SPEAKER_03]: There is.
1:00:02
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's a new, there's a new government official coming in.
1:00:06
[SPEAKER_03]: So what I would do if I was the condo board is I would make some donations to their next campaign Well, yeah, I would say hey, by the way, we have this issue and we kind of want to work it out with you guys because obviously tearing it down It's going to cost a lot of money and what what can really happen is the city can come in tear it down and then charge the association
1:00:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
1:00:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
1:00:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
1:00:27
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's what happens.
1:00:27
[SPEAKER_03]: They put a lead and they put a lean on the building and then the association would have to pay it eventually.
1:00:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So what should happen is in my opinion is you should be able to make a deal with the city where they come in with their inspectors and you say, all right, we get it.
1:00:41
[SPEAKER_03]: We didn't pull the proper permits review everything if there's anything we need to change will pay for that.
1:00:47
[SPEAKER_03]: And that way, you don't have to tear it down, rebuild, and go through the whole process.
1:00:50
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's normally what should happen.
1:00:52
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you know what government, unfortunately, and fortunately in this scenario, they get a little busy, they get a little distracted.
1:01:00
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
1:01:01
[SPEAKER_03]: So this is on the back burner.
1:01:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I probably, if I were you, I probably wouldn't talk about it in any live setting to bring attention to you.
1:01:13
[SPEAKER_05]: I would just, you're a live, this tank of episodes.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so this is a lot of, all right, I'll just get out of the check book.
1:01:20
[SPEAKER_07]: We're good.
1:01:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, wait, wait, wait, so his internet cuts out every other time, but not when the needs to.
1:01:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
1:01:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Damn.
1:01:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
1:01:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Come on.
1:01:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't know what that is, I don't
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_07]: But you know what, you know what, you know what's funny, though, Jews, you know what's funny is so when the, when the heat had that celebration, you know, the not one, not two, not three.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_07]: I was on the studio.
1:02:12
[SPEAKER_07]: I was not, I did a live doing weight interview outside the locker room.
1:02:16
[SPEAKER_07]: I heard that they got an Emmy for that, but nobody called me, so I guess my role was so insignificant, they were like this.
1:02:23
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, yeah, but this was not, this was back in 2010, so.
1:02:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah My role was insignificant man.
1:02:33
[SPEAKER_05]: It wasn't for for big Seth and Mike and Chris man look I'm I'm just riding the way man and they got Otis McDelfi on this bitch Government I'm gonna fish on like a official fish.
1:02:47
[SPEAKER_05]: That's how much they knew me And tell me that until set to call my name on stage
1:02:52
[SPEAKER_02]: No, they knew you were speaking of real questions, though.
1:02:56
[SPEAKER_02]: What's the statute of limitations on Perk going back and trying to get his Emmy?
1:03:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Right, right.
1:03:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
1:03:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Five years.
1:03:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Five years in Florida.
1:03:05
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
1:03:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, five years.
1:03:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Five years.
1:03:07
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm afraid we're going to try to send you five years.
1:03:10
[SPEAKER_05]: Mark has to.
1:03:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
1:03:11
[SPEAKER_05]: He said, Guy, following the Johnson and something.
1:03:15
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, I'm a get one off Amazon.
1:03:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Perk is going to hurt.
1:03:17
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
1:03:17
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
1:03:18
[SPEAKER_03]: No.
1:03:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Too funny.
1:03:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Too funny.
1:03:21
[SPEAKER_03]: So when I retire, me and you, we're just going to go around suing people.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_05]: I like.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's do it.
1:03:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do it.
1:03:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do it.
1:03:29
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to clean up every association.
1:03:32
[SPEAKER_03]: And this actually is a relevant to you.
1:03:37
[SPEAKER_03]: At the state level, they're trying to pass laws right now.
1:03:40
[SPEAKER_03]: They can allow ownership to get rid of associations.
1:03:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I think that's important, right?
1:03:46
[SPEAKER_05]: It's a whole suit there.
1:03:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I know you're joking about assuming people, Chad.
1:03:50
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, no, no, assuming bad people.
