- 1:28Speaker 3: where a whistle?
- 1:29Speaker 1: So yet it's too bad? But what did you expect?
- 1:32Speaker 1: It's a podcast call twenty five whistle wheel. Welcome to
- 1:39Speaker 1: the show, Eddie blow that whistle. So we do have
- 1:43Speaker 1: coach Alex Golish coming on from USSEF in just a
- 1:46Speaker 1: few minutes. We're actually looking at his office right now,
- 1:48Speaker 1: so as soon as he sits down, we'll start the interview.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you can see his chair, that big chair,
- 1:53Speaker 1: so he'll hop on at some point randomly. I would
- 1:57Speaker 1: like to start with this and I will. Do you
- 2:00Speaker 1: see this pin I'm holding up here? Yeah, there's a
- 2:03Speaker 1: chance I stab it right into my temple.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Oh no, I thought you were going to talk about
- 2:06Speaker 3: just what kind of pen it is?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Okay, No, no, no, this is this could go deep
- 2:10Speaker 1: into my temple. Because I was looking at some odds
- 2:14Speaker 1: of who the next Arkansas coach will be.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Oh no, yeah, let me hold a pin before you
- 2:20Speaker 3: read them.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Well, and there's all these different versions, and so I
- 2:23Speaker 1: flipped over and it said where were Brian Kelly coach next?
- 2:26Speaker 1: And at plus three hundred number one in Arkansas. Now
- 2:30Speaker 1: that does not mean he's going to Arkansas, but if
- 2:32Speaker 1: when and if that's announced, this will go right into
- 2:34Speaker 1: my temple. Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 4: So specifically that pen, likeh we get rid of all
- 2:40Speaker 4: pins around here?
- 2:41Speaker 1: A sharp Okay, I will stab myself with it right
- 2:45Speaker 1: in the fricking head.
- 2:46Speaker 3: So it's it's not what you want.
- 2:48Speaker 1: No. Have you seen all the funny videos of him though,
- 2:50Speaker 1: or so he does this thing and back in the
- 2:53Speaker 1: day when he did his Hey, I'm at the basketball
- 2:55Speaker 1: arena and he's like talking in like a Southern cage
- 2:58Speaker 1: and accent. So all these videos are now it's like
- 3:01Speaker 1: Brian Kelly if he gets the UCLA job, And it's like, dude,
- 3:04Speaker 1: so if sub can't wait to leave the team stuck
- 3:07Speaker 1: in traffic, yeah, it's like Brian Kelly if he gets
- 3:10Speaker 1: and it starts the Oklahoma stage job.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Hey cow folks, that's funny.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Glad to see you guys are here. So man, and
- 3:19Speaker 1: I know I have said, and I've been vocal, especially
- 3:22Speaker 1: since the SEC show that came out on Netflix. Brian
- 3:25Speaker 1: Kelly is not a likable guy. I already knew I
- 3:27Speaker 1: probably wouldn't like him, and then I watched the show
- 3:30Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, I for sure wouldn't like him,
- 3:33Speaker 1: And then I watch everybody else talk about him, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: I realized I hate him. Oh, Coach Golish sitting down now,
- 3:40Speaker 1: So uh yeah, if that happens. And I don't know
- 3:43Speaker 1: Mike if he can hear me, but you can just
- 3:45Speaker 1: let me know. If that happens, I will stab this
- 3:47Speaker 1: pin right into my head.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Okay, We'll make sure and remove all sharp.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Obters that would be miserable for me. I don't know
- 3:54Speaker 1: what I would do. It's flying too close to the
- 3:57Speaker 1: sun now at times, because I've gotten to know people
- 3:59Speaker 1: in the administration, and some of them, I'm like, you
- 4:02Speaker 1: know what, don't really like them. That's tough. It's tough
- 4:05Speaker 1: when it's the thing you love the most, and so
- 4:08Speaker 1: that's what's up.
- 4:09Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yeah, man, that's what's up, Mike. You want to let
- 4:12Speaker 3: me know when to pull his audio up.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I think Mike's talking with him right now. He's talking
- 4:16Speaker 1: to one of his own people. That is a pretty
- 4:17Speaker 1: baller chair. You can judge a lot about a guy's
- 4:20Speaker 1: leather chair. It is a nice chair, right I don't
- 4:23Speaker 1: think that's pleather.
- 4:24Speaker 3: No, No, that's real leather right there.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I wouldn't think that was pleasure.
- 4:27Speaker 5: I can smell it just a little bit.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, coach, how you doing. Hey, good to see.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I know you guys are are in the middle of practice,
- 4:36Speaker 1: so I appreciate you taking a few minutes with us.
- 4:38Speaker 6: Yeah. Absolutely, that's rock.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That's rock. I agree.
- 4:41Speaker 6: Yeah, we just we just got off the practice field,
- 4:43Speaker 6: so we're in a good spot.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Here's the one thing. I'm not going to ask you
- 4:46Speaker 1: about any other job, So just no, sitting down. I
- 4:48Speaker 1: will not at all bring up any job because I'm
- 4:51Speaker 1: sure that's every question you're getting. So feel comfortable that
- 4:54Speaker 1: that question's not coming up. So uh, let's let's know.
- 4:57Speaker 6: I appreciate it.
- 4:57Speaker 1: We'll let those shoulders relax a little bit. So what
- 5:01Speaker 1: do you do? You guys are on buy this week,
- 5:03Speaker 1: so what's a practice today?
- 5:04Speaker 7: Like, yeah, kind of a funky buy because we're by
- 5:09Speaker 7: to a Thursday, so we played next Thursday night, but
- 5:13Speaker 7: we are today.
- 5:15Speaker 6: No pads.
- 5:17Speaker 7: Today was about an hour and ten minute heavy fundamental day.
- 5:22Speaker 7: We spent about fifty minutes on ourselves, like truly individual work,
- 5:27Speaker 7: back to full work, ham placement, the base of base,
- 5:32Speaker 7: and then spend about twenty five minutes on UTSA at
- 5:35Speaker 7: the very end.
- 5:36Speaker 1: So you guys have four games left you see at UTSA, Navy,
- 5:39Speaker 1: u AB, and Rice. You're very much still in the
- 5:41Speaker 1: mix to make the playoff obviously. Is that something you
- 5:44Speaker 1: talk about with your guys or is it all let's
- 5:46Speaker 1: just win the conference.
- 5:49Speaker 7: Yeah, honestly, don't even talk about winning the conference truly,
- 5:52Speaker 7: just talking about winning today. I'm so process oriented, process driven.
- 5:59Speaker 7: You know, we got here three years ago and it
- 6:03Speaker 7: was a program that you weren't just talking about. You
- 6:07Speaker 7: were trying to get through a spring practice without without
- 6:11Speaker 7: it being a complete disaster. So we've been really careful
- 6:15Speaker 7: about how we talk about what our standards are here,
- 6:20Speaker 7: what our process looks like here, And we've never talked about, Man,
- 6:23Speaker 7: we got a goal of winning the conference. Man, we
- 6:25Speaker 7: got a goal of winning, of going to the playoff.
- 6:29Speaker 7: That's all a byproduct of our day to day work.
- 6:33Speaker 7: That's a byproduct of what we put into it. And
- 6:37Speaker 7: it's truly a week to week deal where the end
- 6:40Speaker 7: result will be the end result and it'll take care
- 6:42Speaker 7: of itself. We're obviously, I think i'd be naive to say, Man,
- 6:45Speaker 7: our kids aren't aware that the schedule we have, if
- 6:48Speaker 7: we don't win a bunch of them, that we don't
- 6:51Speaker 7: have a chance to go.
- 6:52Speaker 6: I think they're aware of that.
- 6:54Speaker 7: But I think when you think so big picture, it's
- 6:57Speaker 7: it takes focus away from from what your day to
- 6:59Speaker 7: day it looks like. And I think in this day
- 7:02Speaker 7: and age, especially where there's so many distractions and there's
- 7:06Speaker 7: so many people tugging at these kids, the last thing
- 7:09Speaker 7: you want to do is worry about big picture and
- 7:11Speaker 7: just want to worry about today.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It feels like the season has been it's been a
- 7:16Speaker 1: roller coaster that as far as like it keeps going up.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Like I'm not saying you guys came out of nowhere,
- 7:21Speaker 1: obviously didn't, but you had some really big games that
- 7:23Speaker 1: lifted your impact into people who just weren't familiar with
- 7:26Speaker 1: the conference, Like, does your life change because more people
- 7:30Speaker 1: are wanting to talk to you during and after those
- 7:32Speaker 1: big wins?
- 7:35Speaker 6: Uh?
- 7:35Speaker 7: You know what what changes is the that that I'm
- 7:41Speaker 7: so like I said, I'm so process driven in terms
- 7:43Speaker 7: of every minute of every day is mapped out of it.
- 7:46Speaker 7: Try to be really efficient. You know, I'm involved with
- 7:48Speaker 7: the offensive side of the ball, I'm involved with the
- 7:50Speaker 7: special teams, I'm involved with the defense.
- 7:52Speaker 6: The level of recruiting.
- 7:54Speaker 7: That it takes to keep this thing growing is so
- 7:58Speaker 7: big that literally every minute of every day.
- 8:00Speaker 6: Is mapped out.
- 8:01Speaker 7: So when when I mean, shoot, I'm on with with
- 8:05Speaker 7: Bobby Bones today, you know, like this is whatever it
- 8:09Speaker 7: is fifteen twenty minutes out of a day. But the
- 8:11Speaker 7: thing that I also know is it's an opportunity for
- 8:15Speaker 7: us to get our brand out there. It's an opportunity
- 8:17Speaker 7: for us to talk about our program nationally, which.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Is everything you hope for, which is everything you've wanted.
- 8:23Speaker 7: It helps recruiting, it helps drive brand awareness, which ultimately
- 8:27Speaker 7: drives drives butts in seats, drives money, drives revenue. So
- 8:33Speaker 7: for me, it's been more of an adjustment just in
- 8:35Speaker 7: the sense that all right, like this is important. I
- 8:37Speaker 7: got to bump some things back that things still got
- 8:39Speaker 7: to get done.
- 8:40Speaker 6: So maybe just a little bit earlier, a little bit
- 8:42Speaker 6: later in a day.
- 8:43Speaker 7: But you know, I've done this for so long and
- 8:46Speaker 7: have been around big time college football for so long
- 8:49Speaker 7: that at any time you're doing anything relevant, people want
- 8:52Speaker 7: to tell your story and to be honest with you.
- 8:54Speaker 7: That's been since since we started this thing, We've talked
- 8:58Speaker 7: about telling our story through the way we're playing. And
- 9:02Speaker 7: I told these guys the night before we played Boise
- 9:05Speaker 7: Week one man, like, when it's really special, somebody else
- 9:08Speaker 7: is telling your story, you don't have to tell it.
- 9:10Speaker 7: And I feel like this year there's been a lot
- 9:13Speaker 7: of people tell a lot of stories about our program,
- 9:15Speaker 7: about our players, certainly my story, and we haven't hid
- 9:19Speaker 7: behind it. We've been out in front and have wanted
- 9:23Speaker 7: to tell it because I think it's a pretty special one.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I feel like some people, some of my friends that
- 9:27Speaker 1: have hot wives, they forget their wives are hot because
- 9:29Speaker 1: they're with them every day. And I think the same
- 9:31Speaker 1: way as like your logo that bowl, it's a sick logo.
- 9:33Speaker 1: You're with it every day. Do you still realize how
- 9:35Speaker 1: sick that logo is?
- 9:39Speaker 7: I've never heard it compared that I got a hot
- 9:41Speaker 7: wife too, but I tell her every day she's hot,
- 9:44Speaker 7: just so nobody else does, man, because I'm here all day.
- 9:47Speaker 7: So if somebody else is telling her, we got problems.
- 9:50Speaker 7: But man, I think it's a sick logo. You know,
- 9:54Speaker 7: it's this is a really cool place, man. I think
- 9:57Speaker 7: a lot of people are starting to figure it out.
- 10:01Speaker 7: We're you know, we've only played football here for twenty
- 10:03Speaker 7: nine years. The university is relatively new, but man, we're
- 10:07Speaker 7: in the heart of Tampa.
- 10:08Speaker 6: This is a big school. It's fifty two thousand students.
- 10:11Speaker 6: It's an AAU school.
- 10:13Speaker 7: From an academic side, it's the top forty five public
- 10:15Speaker 7: school in the country. Like, there's some incredibly big things
- 10:17Speaker 7: happening here. We're just a little bit behind in terms
- 10:20Speaker 7: of some of the other big programs in the state.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Guys have been playing football for over one hundred years,
- 10:27Speaker 7: and in this day and age of college football, you're
- 10:29Speaker 7: trying to close that gap as fast as you can.
- 10:31Speaker 7: And I give our administration a lot of credit. They've
- 10:33Speaker 7: gone all in on trying to close this gap. But yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 7: it's a sweet logan. I'm glad A lot of people
- 10:39Speaker 7: are talking about recognizing, and it's certainly helping us in
- 10:41Speaker 7: the recruiting side of it.
- 10:43Speaker 1: You've been a head coach there for three years obviously
- 10:45Speaker 1: with hypol at Tennessee. You spent some time at UCF,
- 10:49Speaker 1: so you've kind of been in the area. How important
- 10:52Speaker 1: now with nil and that mattering so much is recruiting
- 10:55Speaker 1: in the area and has it just opened wide open
- 10:58Speaker 1: to whomever you know used to go and it's all
- 11:00Speaker 1: money or some still.
- 11:01Speaker 7: Regional, Yeah, you know, and before that, I spent four
- 11:07Speaker 7: years at Iowa State, where you had to go as
- 11:11Speaker 7: national as you could to be able to fill a roster.
- 11:14Speaker 7: I think part of the advantage of being here and
- 11:18Speaker 7: part of the intrigue of the job two and a
- 11:20Speaker 7: half years ago, is you don't have to go very far,
- 11:23Speaker 7: both for players and for the financial support you're talking about.
- 11:27Speaker 7: You know, for us, most of our rosters from Florida, Georgia,
- 11:32Speaker 7: a little bit in Alabama, a little bit in the Carolinas.
- 11:34Speaker 7: But you don't have to go very far, which is
- 11:37Speaker 7: absolutely huge. More so than the recruiting side, the retention side.
- 11:42Speaker 7: You know, there's so many people that recruit down here
- 11:45Speaker 7: and kids leave the area so on the portal side
- 11:47Speaker 7: of it, it's also huge when kids want to come
- 11:50Speaker 7: back that you use the hot wife comparison. I joke
- 11:54Speaker 7: about it, but I mean I want to be that
- 11:56Speaker 7: two am phone call when it doesn't work out somewhere
- 11:58Speaker 7: else that that I'm kind of that soft landing spot.
- 12:02Speaker 6: I don't know if you're allowed to say that, but.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we totally get it. We understand
- 12:07Speaker 1: what you're saying there. You get three games left health wise,
- 12:12Speaker 1: I know that's such a big part of just being
- 12:14Speaker 1: successful through the year. How are you guys right now?
- 12:18Speaker 7: Yeah, you know what, We're in a good spot. These
- 12:20Speaker 7: bye weeks have fallen for us. We played four, had
- 12:23Speaker 7: a bye week, played four, have a bye week, and
- 12:25Speaker 7: we got four left. Plus you're fighting like crazy to
- 12:29Speaker 7: obviously keep playing after that.
- 12:31Speaker 6: You know, we're in a pretty good spot.
- 12:33Speaker 7: We're we got a weird mix, a unique mix of
- 12:37Speaker 7: we got some veteran guys. We got thirty one seniors
- 12:40Speaker 7: on the team, but we've also got there's eighteen freshmen
- 12:43Speaker 7: or sophomores that are playing for us. So there's like
- 12:46Speaker 7: a cool, youthful energy with some veteran presence, but knock
- 12:50Speaker 7: on wood.
- 12:50Speaker 6: We've been relatively healthy. This this bye.
- 12:53Speaker 7: Week comes at a good time to get a couple
- 12:54Speaker 7: of guys back, so we're you don't have to be
- 12:57Speaker 7: quite as young. But we're in a good spot. We're
- 13:00Speaker 7: is to do some really good things here in November.
- 13:02Speaker 7: And it's been a long time since they've played meaningful
- 13:04Speaker 7: games in November here. But we're we're fortunate to be
- 13:07Speaker 7: in a spot where we are. We're playing really really
- 13:10Speaker 7: important games and we'll see how it shakes out.
- 13:12Speaker 6: But we're in a good spot health wise.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I've spent a bunch of time in Tampa just touring
- 13:16Speaker 1: through doing comedy or music or whatever. A lot of
- 13:19Speaker 1: good shows down there. Do you ever get to go
- 13:20Speaker 1: to concerts?
- 13:23Speaker 6: Man?
- 13:24Speaker 7: You know what I told you, I spent some time
- 13:27Speaker 7: not in a city like this where people come. You
- 13:31Speaker 7: know what we've had. We've had some cool shows come
- 13:34Speaker 7: through here. We've been went and saw Luke Combs and
- 13:39Speaker 7: and that was a neat show. Luke's Luke's right hand
- 13:42Speaker 7: guy is a huge Tennessee fan, so he took care
- 13:45Speaker 7: of us. We got to got to spend some time backstage,
- 13:48Speaker 7: got to spend some time with Luke. Like what a
- 13:50Speaker 7: huge college football guy and an incredible dude just in general.
- 13:54Speaker 7: We got to see Kenny Chesney here at ray J
- 13:57Speaker 7: last summer. Chris Stapleton was incredible, played played at the
- 14:01Speaker 7: Amphitheater here. You talk about a two and a half
- 14:05Speaker 7: hour show that was like a bucket list item that
- 14:08Speaker 7: was really really special.
- 14:10Speaker 6: We had Drake here my first year. That was cool.
- 14:14Speaker 7: We actually got Kodak Black here at our basketball arena
- 14:16Speaker 7: here on campus tomorrow night, which I'll be on the
- 14:19Speaker 7: road recruiting, but maybe catch the tail end of it.
- 14:22Speaker 7: I think that'll be a cool show too. But man
- 14:24Speaker 7: like part of living in Tampa. I think when you
- 14:28Speaker 7: haven't lived, when you've lived in some small college towns,
- 14:31Speaker 7: you forget, Like the food scene is incredible, just the
- 14:34Speaker 7: culture in the city is second to none.
- 14:36Speaker 6: But the music scene is really really cool.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Who's Mount Rushmore favorite artists for you of all time?
- 14:43Speaker 6: That's an easy one. I love Jay z Uh.
- 14:45Speaker 7: That's kind of always been like, if you if you
- 14:47Speaker 7: come out to practice.
- 14:48Speaker 6: I forced these guys when when they're in their meeting rooms,
- 14:52Speaker 6: they can listen to whatever they want, but when.
- 14:54Speaker 7: We're out there, it's it's Jay z It's Tupac, it's
- 14:57Speaker 7: big Eie, It's it's like my generation, and I'm teaching
- 15:01Speaker 7: these guys one at a time what that really looks.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Like, Isn't it crazy? I was doing an interview with
- 15:06Speaker 1: an artist yesterday and he was talking about his mom's
- 15:10Speaker 1: music and how his mom influenced him, and his mom's
- 15:12Speaker 1: music was like Maroon five, and I'm like, dude, I'm
- 15:17Speaker 1: all like, I'm my forties. I'm like, dude, that was
- 15:20Speaker 1: one of those that hit me where it's like, I
- 15:22Speaker 1: guess I'm now. All my music is now what people's
- 15:25Speaker 1: moms listen to.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Listen. I feel older every single day.
- 15:30Speaker 7: We actually had Bush came on, Oh yeah, Listerine, and
- 15:35Speaker 7: I'm like, I'm sitting here like I'm looking around. Our
- 15:37Speaker 7: whole staff is kind of like bobbing their heads, and
- 15:41Speaker 7: the kids are looking at us like who is this.
- 15:43Speaker 7: Somebody gets bushed and they all start laughing. I'm like,
- 15:46Speaker 7: come on, guys, like I remember being in seventh grade
- 15:50Speaker 7: and if you had any sort of swag, you had
- 15:53Speaker 7: a Bush t shirt. And I'm like, man, seventh grade
- 15:57Speaker 7: that was like literally like twenty eight years ago, and
- 16:02Speaker 7: now I am I feel like I'm getting older. I
- 16:04Speaker 7: used to feel like I was a young guy in
- 16:05Speaker 7: this profession, and some people still refer to me that way.
- 16:08Speaker 6: And I'll take it any day of the week.
- 16:09Speaker 7: But like these guys, these guys really don't know good music.
- 16:12Speaker 6: You'd be shocked.
- 16:13Speaker 7: You walk around and you sit in a locker room
- 16:16Speaker 7: in these meetings and it is, uh, they have no idea,
- 16:21Speaker 7: Like absolutely no idea. But you're right, like if your
- 16:23Speaker 7: mom's listening to it, I'm like, holy smokes, I'm your
- 16:26Speaker 7: mom's ee.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I just a couple other things. I know you got
- 16:32Speaker 1: a busy day, but you mentioned your wife. What state
- 16:35Speaker 1: is she from?
- 16:35Speaker 7: Coach, She is from Arkansas. She's from Northwest Arkansas up
- 16:40Speaker 7: in Greenwood.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I love it.
- 16:42Speaker 7: By the way, the Bulldogs are undefeated right now. Yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 7: we used to make another state title run.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Just I love Arkansas. Have you ever been to Arkansas in
- 16:48Speaker 1: the fall, just to generally speaking, you have to go
- 16:50Speaker 1: back for like family and stuff.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Well, I'm like a little busy in the fall.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I just wonder if it's like you like poke
- 16:57Speaker 1: back and to see how amazing fan Bill is in
- 16:59Speaker 1: the fall. Just a general question.
- 17:03Speaker 7: Yeah, I have never been the fall, Like, like if
- 17:06Speaker 7: I'm if I have time in the fall to visit somewhere,
- 17:09Speaker 7: then that means that we got problems.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, should he go?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I know he really should. I think if you
- 17:15Speaker 1: just spend a little time in Favbville and it'd be
- 17:17Speaker 1: great for your wife to be back, maybe a long
- 17:19Speaker 1: stay in the fall in Fayetteville, Coach, just just just
- 17:22Speaker 1: for just throwing that out there, I think it would
- 17:25Speaker 1: be a favor of walking with with a open arms,
- 17:27Speaker 1: just as like a vacation. You know.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Well, I tell you this, it is. It is in
- 17:34Speaker 6: the high seventies right now.
- 17:35Speaker 7: The most beautiful beaches in the entire country are twenty
- 17:39Speaker 7: minutes away. And uh, and we've got a conference title
- 17:44Speaker 7: run to go make.
- 17:44Speaker 6: So yeah, maybe maybe in February summer, okay, or summer
- 17:49Speaker 6: in February.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, it's listen, it's all the time. It's pretty
- 17:53Speaker 1: all the time. So, like I said, I'm rooting for
- 17:56Speaker 1: you guys, but I just want you to know there's
- 17:58Speaker 1: nothing like family. And you know, we all love our
- 18:02Speaker 1: wives and uh, just as someone who spends a lot
- 18:05Speaker 1: of time in Faville would love to bump into get
- 18:07Speaker 1: a coffee shop sometime, Coach, how about.
- 18:08Speaker 6: That we should do it.
- 18:11Speaker 7: We go back in July and uh and enjoy the
- 18:15Speaker 7: lakes and the scenery.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awesome, and then we.
- 18:18Speaker 6: Come right back here to Tampaay to go to work.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Yes, sir, Yes, sir, let's go. That's I'm talking about.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yeah all right, Hey, coach, Uh, seriously, congratulations on so
- 18:31Speaker 1: far this season. I hope you guys are able to
- 18:32Speaker 1: stay healthy and you know, give these last I know
- 18:34Speaker 1: you got three big games. I know Utsa and I
- 18:36Speaker 1: know Coach Trailer, and those guys are always ready to go,
- 18:39Speaker 1: like no doubt about, regardless of what their season is. Uh,
- 18:42Speaker 1: they're always ready. Navy's playing the crap out of some
- 18:44Speaker 1: ball this year. So you guys have a really strong
- 18:47Speaker 1: conference this year, and it's been really great to watch,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know, the Boys game, even the Florida game, which
- 18:52Speaker 1: was massive for you guys. And so I'm rooting for
- 18:54Speaker 1: you guys, and you know what We're just you know,
- 18:57Speaker 1: if we happen to bump in each other some certain areas,
- 18:59Speaker 1: that'd be awesome the future, coach, have a great rest
- 19:01Speaker 1: of the day. And uh, that's all. That's, like I said,
- 19:04Speaker 1: not talking about any jobs. I'm just saying what part
- 19:06Speaker 1: of geographic area that I like? So all right, coach,
- 19:10Speaker 1: have a good rest of the day.
- 19:13Speaker 6: I appreciate y'all go bulls.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yes, sir, all right, there he is coach goulish whoop.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I mean he did say whoopick, I know he is,
- 19:26Speaker 1: but I didn't. Hey, God, bless y'all man, you two coach,
- 19:30Speaker 1: God bless you.
- 19:32Speaker 6: We'll see you.
- 19:32Speaker 1: All right, there.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Is alright, Well he didn't really answer that well, but.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I know I can see a little love in his heart.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Though I can see a little love. I would love
- 19:43Speaker 1: for us to get him. I would love it. He's
- 19:47Speaker 1: one of like the there's like a few that are
- 19:50Speaker 1: in that top tier. For me, he's one of them,
- 19:53Speaker 1: like top three.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Yeah wow, Yeah. I didn't know that until I saw
- 19:57Speaker 4: you posted something on Twitter about him coming on and
- 19:59Speaker 4: everyone was like, do God to work, Bobby, like help
- 20:03Speaker 4: us out or something like that, like all these Arkansas fans.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I didn't realize, Oh, they all feel like that.
- 20:07Speaker 1: He's definitely in that top three list of what people
- 20:11Speaker 1: think will be a good good hire. And I never
- 20:14Speaker 1: asked Hi about to I set him up.
- 20:15Speaker 6: You did it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I set him up at the beginning, I'm like, I'm
- 20:17Speaker 1: not gonna talk about jobs. All I did was talk
- 20:19Speaker 1: about how wonderful I knew his wife for some markets.
- 20:22Speaker 3: No, He's like, no, Bobby, I have never been in
- 20:25Speaker 3: the fall and it is.
- 20:26Speaker 1: You could tell he was trying not to crack, though
- 20:29Speaker 1: you could tell a good job trying not to crack.
- 20:32Speaker 1: There we go. We love that. Okay, NFL fans, what's

- 22:26Speaker 3: test me too. I've been I don't know I have one.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I'm on a list for something that like a golf
- 22:30Speaker 3: one And they texted me last night said that I'm
- 22:32Speaker 3: running out of time for my free golf trip to Phoenix.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Dude didn't get on. Why don't you want to?
- 22:37Speaker 3: I gotta jump on that.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yes, could you clip me, Brandon as soon as this
- 22:42Speaker 1: is over, could you clip me the part where I
- 22:44Speaker 1: start talking about the weather, And for sure they're gonna
- 22:47Speaker 1: that's that's freaking cat nip for my people. Oh yeah, no, Twitter,
- 22:52Speaker 1: he knew what I was doing. I got a freaking
- 22:54Speaker 1: helmet Arkansas, of course. And he's in Tampa where the
- 22:58Speaker 1: show is obviously big. That doesn't mean he listens to it.
- 23:01Speaker 3: But our show, Oh you don't think he listens to
- 23:03Speaker 3: it on the way to work every day? Just like
- 23:05Speaker 3: what do I do every morning? Listen to my favorite show.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I never assume anyone listens to anything.
- 23:12Speaker 3: See, that's what we're different everybody. I assume they're all listening.
- 23:15Speaker 1: You're probably right, you assume people listen to this show.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I assume, yeah, yeah, because we have like voicemails, people
- 23:22Speaker 3: like leave voicemails and stuff.
- 23:23Speaker 1: For this whistle ship. Yeah yeah, I just assume nobody
- 23:26Speaker 1: ever listens to anything. I think we're the opposite there.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so why come in and do it?
- 23:32Speaker 1: Because you love it to get one to get one person,
- 23:35Speaker 1: that one person someone to do it. I was watching
- 23:41Speaker 1: I think it was LeBatard, but I was watching a
- 23:45Speaker 1: clip on TikTok and they were talking about how irrelevant
- 23:50Speaker 1: the Charlotte Hornets are. They're the Hornets.
- 23:54Speaker 6: Hornets.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, not Bobcasts anymore, right, right.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Right, hornet. The fact that we don't know that I know,
- 24:00Speaker 3: uh Brandon Miller, Oh yeah, yeah, Oh.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Is that where he's at is over there?
- 24:07Speaker 4: He got drafted, he was good too.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure he's in strike. I mean, yeah, but
- 24:11Speaker 1: my point is, I don't know, man is I would
- 24:15Speaker 1: look that up as uh yeah, Charlotte Hornets pretty irrelevant.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I mean, my point is, if we were to go
- 24:22Speaker 1: through each league and pick the most irrelevant team and
- 24:25Speaker 1: write your answer now, because I don't want to be convinced,
- 24:28Speaker 1: but if you were to write, now, let's do NFL first,
- 24:31Speaker 1: the most irrelevant team. It doesn't have to be the worst,
- 24:34Speaker 1: because there could be a very relevant team that's having
- 24:36Speaker 1: a terrible season. But and then it also could be
- 24:39Speaker 1: the most really irrelevant team. Could be having a great season,
- 24:41Speaker 1: Like you could say the Colts. I don't think it's
- 24:43Speaker 1: the Colts, but they're good this year. But what is
- 24:45Speaker 1: the most irrelevant team in the NFL? Let me know
- 24:48Speaker 1: when you're in I got mine. I'm Kevin, Cardinals, Eddie,
- 24:54Speaker 1: the Cardinals, Brandon Panthers. Sorry, the Titans.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well you know you're probably right. We're just
- 25:02Speaker 3: in it. They're here so like I hear about them
- 25:06Speaker 3: all the time. My kids talk about him all the time. Like,
- 25:09Speaker 3: but if I didn't live here, I think you're right.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the Cardinals have at least been to a super
- 25:13Speaker 1: Bowl in our lifetime.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean yeah, Titan's been been a long time.
- 25:18Speaker 4: The Titans when they lost to the Rams in.
- 25:21Speaker 3: The Musicles miracle, Yeah yeah, Steve McNair.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Was that, No, that wasn't musing a miracle miracle?
- 25:28Speaker 4: Was the divisional or championship?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, we're talking about the where he's.
- 25:32Speaker 4: On the one yard line, reached out. Yeah, I'm going
- 25:37Speaker 4: to go Titans.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I picked them, but I can see where Cardinals and
- 25:42Speaker 1: who else picked them? I picked the Panthers. I'm always
- 25:45Speaker 1: I keep pounding them. Panthers have been to a super.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Bowl yeah, yeah, a couple of them.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Who's the most famous panther in your mind?
- 25:55Speaker 3: Uh?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Olsen, Greg Olsen, Cam Newton good one.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Well that's good.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Steve Smith, good one.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Christian McCaffrey. But now he's a forty nine er.
- 26:05Speaker 4: He's doing nine or so long now, my.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Guys, Okay, NBA, can't you Charlotte, I got it.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I'm in, I'm in and.
- 26:20Speaker 6: A man stupid.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I don't have to say this one. Kevin Trailblazers.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Oh that's good.
- 26:30Speaker 4: Yeah, this is no shot at Chauncey Billips.
- 26:32Speaker 3: By the way, thanks for clarifying.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Well it's not Chauncey, I'd worry about. It's a mob hit.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Yeah, mans Flappy or something.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Well they had a lot monsters. Yeah yeah, Willie the
- 26:47Speaker 1: penguin like Armenian Adam or something. Brandon. Uh, the Washington Wizards, Eddie.
- 26:57Speaker 3: The Washington Wizards.
- 26:59Speaker 1: I have this Comino Kings.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Oh yeah, mm hmm.
- 27:04Speaker 1: The Wizards have been really bad. I feel like the
- 27:07Speaker 1: Wizards over at least in a major city.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I know DC, but I never think about the Wizards.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I think about them because they like don't even try
- 27:15Speaker 1: to win. Yeah, I think Sacramento tries but nobody wants
- 27:18Speaker 1: to go there. I did watch them play the Thunder,
- 27:21Speaker 1: not my wife, did, I mean I was watching the
- 27:23Speaker 1: Stars Sacramento. Yeah yeah, and like Demarta Rosan's over there.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Oh wow?
- 27:27Speaker 1: Uh yeah, yeah they have players. Uh, Zach Lvine's over there?
- 27:33Speaker 3: Is he?
- 27:33Speaker 4: Really?
- 27:34Speaker 3: That's bizarre?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Both those guys.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Again, do they still have the lefty white guy, big
- 27:38Speaker 4: white guy?
- 27:40Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, so okay, all right, next.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Up, why did the Wizards?
- 27:46Speaker 1: By the way, because they wore the bullets and you
- 27:47Speaker 1: had to change it because you can't have bullets, can
- 27:49Speaker 1: have shootout, can't have Okay, so they came up with
- 27:51Speaker 1: Wizards alliteration, Washington Wizards.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Oh, just the w got it, got it? But they
- 27:58Speaker 3: kind of like, how else?
- 28:00Speaker 1: What was another way? In your mind? If I say,
- 28:02Speaker 1: how how else would they have done a literation?
- 28:05Speaker 3: Oh, you're right, you're right. I didn't think about that,
- 28:07Speaker 3: but he asked.
- 28:08Speaker 4: How don't even thinking about how you?
- 28:10Speaker 1: And I feel like, what else would you wizard?
- 28:12Speaker 3: What other w would you pick?
- 28:14Speaker 1: The Washington Warriors?
- 28:16Speaker 3: But they're that's taken, Yes, Washington.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Washing machines, because that's a double wash, that's washing.
- 28:26Speaker 3: The Walruses.
- 28:28Speaker 1: What the what the what's Washington?
- 28:36Speaker 3: I don't know something.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Wards slow fatten in the waters. That's the worst.
- 28:42Speaker 6: Uh.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I think Wizards may have been the only way to go. Yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 1: they did all the w's and the Washington we gots
- 28:48Speaker 1: Wizards guys. Okay, Baseball uh m hmm. Yeah, baseball has
- 28:59Speaker 1: been around so long. This one's a little different because
- 29:02Speaker 1: throughout history everybody's kind of had to pop the sport's different. Yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 1: but what baseball team?
- 29:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm in and hmm, I'm in.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I don't like that I have to say this, but
- 29:15Speaker 1: I'm in. I'm in. Yeah, what you got?
- 29:22Speaker 4: But this is only since I moved to Nashville. Really
- 29:24Speaker 4: the Angels, but I grew up down the street from him,
- 29:27Speaker 4: so like as a child, it wasn't really like that.
- 29:28Speaker 4: But probably the Angels. I haven't heard anything about them
- 29:31Speaker 4: to move here.
- 29:31Speaker 3: That's true. I think Mike Trout kind of helped them
- 29:33Speaker 3: out a little bit.
- 29:34Speaker 1: But Show helped him too a bit, Show him Show
- 29:36Speaker 1: he came been good in ten plus years. I agree,
- 29:39Speaker 1: they haven't been good, like made the playoffs?
- 29:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Random.
- 29:43Speaker 5: I only say this because even Mark Cuban didn't want
- 29:46Speaker 5: to buy them. The Pittsburgh pirates good one that's so bad.
- 29:51Speaker 1: They're so bad it's like they don't try. It's like
- 29:53Speaker 1: when someone gets good, it's like, oh, wonder when they'll
- 29:54Speaker 1: trade him.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Yeah, Paul Skin's like when he's out of there.
- 29:57Speaker 1: We begged for them to trade him because he's so good,
- 29:59Speaker 1: he's gonna need ander two and he's like one in seven. Yeah,
- 30:03Speaker 1: so we start to feel bad for the good players
- 30:04Speaker 1: because they have no support.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Show the same thing, Eddie.
- 30:08Speaker 3: And when I think of baseball teams and like all
- 30:10Speaker 3: the ones I know, but then there's one like I
- 30:12Speaker 3: completely forgot about is the Rockies.
- 30:15Speaker 4: That was my second.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Forget about the Rockies all the time. I forget they're
- 30:17Speaker 3: even a baseball team.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Now.
- 30:19Speaker 3: They were good, Matt Holliday, they had.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Like Luis Gonzales, Yeah he was when he was roading
- 30:26Speaker 1: up big time.
- 30:27Speaker 4: They had a run in like two thousands.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I believe he was roading up allegedly they had to
- 30:31Speaker 1: run the Royals.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Oh wow, really, Oh it's easy to forget the Royals.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Small market. Yeah, their stars aren't like they're not in
- 30:41Speaker 1: conversations because they and when they do win, everybody roots
- 30:44Speaker 1: for them because they haven't heard from them.
- 30:45Speaker 6: In a while.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like your cousin who comes back from being
- 30:48Speaker 1: deployed for like seven years. I'd be so happy to
- 30:49Speaker 1: see them, but they had been around it forever. You're
- 30:51Speaker 1: just like, wow, crazy, Yeah, good to see you again.
- 30:54Speaker 6: Wow.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Marlins too, forget about them.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Mm hmm. You know, I think the difference to me
- 30:59Speaker 1: is if I can identify like a crazy cool player
- 31:03Speaker 1: even from the last twenty five thirty years, to me,
- 31:06Speaker 1: they don't feel as irrelevant. And with the Marlins, I
- 31:08Speaker 1: can identify a few few players. Yeah that were really
- 31:12Speaker 1: cool and they won a World Series and they beat
- 31:13Speaker 1: the Cubs.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Uh you know it was so they made you remember
- 31:17Speaker 3: they were there.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Yeah, sucked.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Okay, let's do hockey.
- 31:24Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Whalers.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah, all the teams except for like three, yeah, except
- 31:33Speaker 1: for the Predators. Let's get to our Parlay of the Week,
- 31:37Speaker 1: presented by Draft Kings.
- 31:38Speaker 3: I'm out.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Wow he remembered yep, Eddie has sunk us. Yeah, I'm
- 31:44Speaker 1: sorry about that the last couple of weeks. So we're
- 31:48Speaker 1: gonna go. It's me, Kevin and Brandon. We are the
- 31:52Speaker 1: triangle of winning this week. Kevin, you go first.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Yeah, boys, I'm going to go with number eight Georgia
- 32:00Speaker 4: Tech minus five and a half at NC State.
- 32:03Speaker 1: That's an interesting game there.
- 32:06Speaker 4: They are good.
- 32:07Speaker 3: We will add it to the Why do you talk
- 32:09Speaker 3: like that?
- 32:10Speaker 1: I don't know, random. Oh that's a tough one.
- 32:15Speaker 5: I think I'm gonna do Vanderbilt plus two and a
- 32:18Speaker 5: half over Texas.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Man, that game feels so tricky to me. It does.
- 32:23Speaker 1: I have another one on on tap. If you guys
- 32:26Speaker 1: don't like it, no, you pick it. We don't. Oh okay,
- 32:28Speaker 1: if we were to do don't like it, we would
- 32:30Speaker 1: just go through like eight of eddies every week.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not funny.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Get settled.
- 32:34Speaker 3: I'm being a gentleman about this and sitting out quietly. Okay,
- 32:37Speaker 3: I rub it in.
- 32:38Speaker 1: So you have Vandy plus two and a half.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Okay, I wouldn't. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'm
- 32:46Speaker 3: just kidding. I'm joking.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I have what Indiana at Maryland Indiana minus twenty one
- 32:53Speaker 1: and a half. Indiana tends to win the games are
- 32:56Speaker 1: supposed to win, but not only that. They like to
- 32:58Speaker 1: embarrass people. Yeah, so I Indiana minus twenty one and
- 33:01Speaker 1: a half. Your team hitting payder pays out to you

- 33:58Speaker 1: All right games this week Penn State at a Ohio State?
- 34:00Speaker 1: Is there any chance at Penn State? And I would
- 34:02Speaker 1: say can they keep playing without their coach? But it's
- 34:05Speaker 1: not even that they don't have a quarterback.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Yeah, they're done.
- 34:07Speaker 1: So it's not even like a really good team that
- 34:09Speaker 1: was supposed to win. That's now, you know, playing with
- 34:12Speaker 1: a different coach. They didn't have their quarterback.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So Penn State at Ohio State Vanderbilt at Texas, that's
- 34:19Speaker 1: a fun game. That's one of the games I'm looking
- 34:20Speaker 1: forward to the most.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Did you see Ohio State's got new cleats for this game?
- 34:25Speaker 1: Why would I see that?
- 34:26Speaker 3: Lebron? Lebron gifted them all new cleats?
- 34:28Speaker 6: Oh?
- 34:28Speaker 1: Is that the story?
- 34:29Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 34:29Speaker 3: Okay, that's why you would see it.
- 34:31Speaker 1: But I didn't know that.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Well, now you do.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Did you see Lebron gave Ohio State in New clean?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Did you see that Miami at SMU they're having a
- 34:41Speaker 1: different pregame? Meala, Yeah, Like, how would.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I know that?
- 34:44Speaker 1: Unless it's like a news story?
- 34:47Speaker 3: Is okay?
- 34:48Speaker 6: It?
- 34:50Speaker 1: You have to like tell me, like, did you see Lebron?
- 34:52Speaker 1: Because I didn't, But at least I would understand there
- 34:54Speaker 1: was something to it. You would say, Michael Jordan gifted
- 34:56Speaker 1: them bread stone.
- 34:57Speaker 3: You sound like me talking to my wife because sometimes
- 35:00Speaker 3: just to be like, I can't believe they did them?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Who what? Yes, Miami at s m U. Did someone
- 35:09Speaker 1: like the Miami uniforms.
- 35:10Speaker 3: I loved them.
- 35:11Speaker 1: I was watching people this is days after though, talk
- 35:15Speaker 1: about how they think maybe Carson Beck couldn't see the
- 35:16Speaker 1: receivers because they want.
- 35:18Speaker 3: To stop.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Green though.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Yes, it was confusing, but it was more black.
- 35:23Speaker 3: It was black with camo like numbers.
- 35:26Speaker 1: It's still camo though. It's basically all you're seeing is
- 35:30Speaker 1: a number running round. I supposed to throw with the number.
- 35:35Speaker 3: People are dumb.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So my friend Brandon Walker, who works at barstool, hit
- 35:39Speaker 1: me up and we talked a few times a week. Anyway,
- 35:43Speaker 1: he had a bad week last week with Misissippi State,
- 35:45Speaker 1: lots of Texas. Uh that that overtime he was there.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I saw right, he was in the freaking in zone.
- 35:49Speaker 3: There's a whole recap video of him watching.
- 35:51Speaker 1: He's in the in zone. He saw it happen in
- 35:53Speaker 1: front of his face, and so I understand his pain
- 35:56Speaker 1: because him and I were on parallel pats. His team,
- 35:58Speaker 1: my team, it's the Spider Man, Meme, Misssippi State in Arkansas,
- 36:02Speaker 1: each other. We're the same. We're pointing each other like what.
- 36:05Speaker 1: So he hit me up and he was like, Hey,
- 36:06Speaker 1: do you want to do a bet on the Arkansas
- 36:08Speaker 1: Misissippi State game, and he was like, loser has to
- 36:10Speaker 1: intern for the other person. Like I don't.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Oh that sounds terrible.
- 36:13Speaker 1: That's the worst bet ever. I don't gain anything.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like except he would here, what's he gonna do here?
- 36:20Speaker 1: And what am I gonna do there? I don't And
- 36:22Speaker 1: then I.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Got a lead. Yeah that's funny to think about, but no,
- 36:27Speaker 3: to like actually do that, that would be terrible.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I don't want to have to fly to Chicago, yeah,
- 36:33Speaker 1: to get him coffee, but also I gotta like leave
- 36:37Speaker 1: my show like eight jos.
- 36:39Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a lot, like asking a lot.
- 36:42Speaker 1: And it's like in turn, LIKEO sitting on their show.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I did that anyway, and it was a guest. It
- 36:45Speaker 1: was awesome, So I didn't have I was just like,
- 36:48Speaker 1: now we're probably gonna lose anyway. I couldn't think of
- 36:50Speaker 1: an interesting bet. I haven't spent much time thinking about it, honestly.
- 36:53Speaker 1: But then on their show yesterday he called me a
- 36:55Speaker 1: chicken ass.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Wow really on the show.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, taking the bet?
- 37:00Speaker 2: Wow?
- 37:01Speaker 4: So interesting?
- 37:02Speaker 3: Compose a new one. Think about it? Like what if
- 37:06Speaker 3: he just praises you all day on his show? You
- 37:10Speaker 3: have to praise him all day on your the.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Logo on their show, but he splits it. But the
- 37:15Speaker 1: logo on their show that day, because it's their show
- 37:17Speaker 1: is called Mostly Sports. It's Mostly Sports with Mark Titus,
- 37:22Speaker 1: Brandon Walker and it's huge, presented by Bobby Belles. I
- 37:25Speaker 1: think they have like actual sponsors.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Their sponsors would get mad over that probably.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Uh So we're playing Missippi State this week is my point?
- 37:36Speaker 3: Uh in in.
- 37:38Speaker 4: You gonna go.
- 37:40Speaker 1: We got to stop last week.
- 37:43Speaker 3: I know, I know, I know, I know.
- 37:44Speaker 1: If we were winning, I would go, yeah, but we
- 37:47Speaker 1: haven't won. We're on a six game losing streak. Six Yeah.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Our last conference win was Mississippi State last year. Their
- 37:56Speaker 1: last conference one was Arkansas like.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Two years ago. So it's the rematch of the last It's.
- 37:59Speaker 1: The both of us are just trying to win one
- 38:03Speaker 1: of the streaks. It is straight Spider Man meme programs. Uh.
- 38:08Speaker 1: The game that I think is kind of fun is
- 38:09Speaker 1: Oklahoma at Tennessee. For a couple of reasons, it's basically
- 38:12Speaker 1: an elimination game. Whoever loses that game is not going
- 38:15Speaker 1: to make the playoff. Whoever wins is still sitting in
- 38:17Speaker 1: a pretty prime spot. But also, and I hate to
- 38:20Speaker 1: say this, I don't like who I am for what
- 38:23Speaker 1: I'm about to say. The Tennessee black uniforms are awesome,
- 38:27Speaker 1: and they're doing a blackout at night game.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Good luck. Yeah, so it's gonna help them out a
- 38:31Speaker 3: little bit.
- 38:32Speaker 1: It's gonna help me out because I'm like, that looks cool, right.
- 38:35Speaker 3: To make you a little happier.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I'm rooting for Oklahoma because my family's Oklahoma.
- 38:41Speaker 1: But and I don't like Tennessee. I hate Texas. I
- 38:43Speaker 1: don't like Tennessee. There's a difference. Oh yeah, if they
- 38:47Speaker 1: played each other, go Valls. It's the only time I
- 38:49Speaker 1: would say that. I think if if Tennessee played like now,
- 38:57Speaker 1: if Texas played like Russia, I'd root for Russia.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, Wow, the hate is that deep.
- 39:04Speaker 1: I think I'd root for the Russia putins. Wow, more
- 39:07Speaker 1: than I would the Longhorns.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Yeah, you wouldn't do that.
- 39:11Speaker 1: I was thinking about. I saw yesterday that Russia had
- 39:14Speaker 1: tested out this new Poseidon underwater missile. Do you see this? Like, well, Mike,
- 39:20Speaker 1: would you mind pulling up the Russian missile Poseidon? I
- 39:22Speaker 1: don't want to say the wrong thing when it comes
- 39:23Speaker 1: to like nuclear warfare.
- 39:24Speaker 3: What's the word you're using? Poseidon?
- 39:26Speaker 1: Poseidon, which Poseidon is back in mythology, the water water god.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Yeah, the god of water.
- 39:33Speaker 1: So you don't know anything.
- 39:34Speaker 3: No, I know Medusa and Zeus, that's about it. Think of.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Aquaman cool, Yeah, yeah, he's basically awesome. Who's that actor,
- 39:47Speaker 1: Jason Momo? Yeah, think of Poseidon as Aquaman.
- 39:51Speaker 3: That's legit.
- 39:52Speaker 1: That would be the parallel that I would draw right
- 39:54Speaker 1: here now I'm in uh and Mike, let me know
- 39:57Speaker 1: when you find Poseidon you it's a super torpedo. Yeah,
- 40:00Speaker 1: that that takes like nuclear to the closer to the
- 40:03Speaker 1: shores of whoever their target is that correct?
- 40:06Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 40:06Speaker 1: It can trigger radioactive ocean swells whatever that means.
- 40:09Speaker 3: What the oh yeah, big waves that will attack your anyway.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I'm rooting for them over the long Horns.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't do the regardless, just just say hook them.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Dude.
- 40:19Speaker 4: You hate Texas, that's it.
- 40:21Speaker 6: No.
- 40:21Speaker 1: But I was thinking like if I had to, man, Yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 1: that's deep.
- 40:26Speaker 3: Man, I've never hated a team that much.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel Yeah.
- 40:31Speaker 3: My wife though, she was telling me like, should we
- 40:33Speaker 3: just be a Tennessee household? Because I mean, we lived
- 40:35Speaker 3: here and on Saturdays, the boys do like to like
- 40:40Speaker 3: one of the balls playing, which you know, like they're
- 40:42Speaker 3: around it. They're around it, and they're friends around their
- 40:45Speaker 3: friends who have it. So I told her, I don't
- 40:46Speaker 3: know if you guys wanted a college there's room for you.
- 40:49Speaker 4: Man, we got you.
- 40:51Speaker 3: I'm gonna feel like Kevin over Over.
- 40:53Speaker 1: The problem is you didn't have a college team. You're
- 40:56Speaker 1: not a college football fan, so you couldn't indoctrinate them
- 40:59Speaker 1: from an early age. You did with Cowboys, and so
- 41:02Speaker 1: it bothered you whenever one of them was like, I
- 41:04Speaker 1: want to be a Titans fan, but the rest were
- 41:06Speaker 1: Cowboys fans. You didn't have a college team, so they
- 41:09Speaker 1: can kind of be whoever they want.
- 41:10Speaker 3: They can.
- 41:11Speaker 1: That would it wouldn't be bothersome.
- 41:12Speaker 3: However, though, in the last like six seven years, I
- 41:16Speaker 3: have a lot of Arkansas gear. They all have Arkansas gear.
- 41:20Speaker 3: They like Arkansas on Saturdays.
- 41:22Speaker 1: We don't win enough in football for them to want
- 41:25Speaker 1: to be at this age where you're very impressionable, we
- 41:28Speaker 1: don't win enough for them to want to be Arkansas fans.
- 41:31Speaker 3: That's correct.
- 41:33Speaker 1: But if you just put them into basketball, they would
- 41:36Speaker 1: be Arkansas fans.
- 41:37Speaker 3: Okay, maybe we'll start there.
- 41:39Speaker 1: So, yeah, college, I think being a Tennessee college household
- 41:43Speaker 1: is fine for you because you guys are't college.
- 41:44Speaker 3: I'm not a Texas you know fan.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Matter of fact, you they beeat on your truck.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I hated that crowd when I worked at the news station.
- 41:51Speaker 3: They would tailgate all around our new station because we
- 41:53Speaker 3: were right down the street from the stadium. A bunch
- 41:55Speaker 3: of old and they weren't college kids. They're old like
- 41:58Speaker 3: Texas x's is what they're called. And they just be
- 42:01Speaker 3: He's pissing all over my tires and be like, dude,
- 42:03Speaker 3: we're trying to work. Get out of here.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Do you know who didn't piss all over your tire?
- 42:07Speaker 1: You putin?
- 42:09Speaker 3: All right, go putin. He's on board.
- 42:13Speaker 1: See it's very easy.
- 42:15Speaker 3: It makes me so mad.
- 42:17Speaker 1: NFL games coming up this week. What's the good ones?
- 42:22Speaker 1: I guess it so burning?
- 42:24Speaker 3: You're what? I'm just burned out, man, I've just lost.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I've lost so much.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I know you should tell them about a really good day. Though.
- 42:29Speaker 3: That was crazy, but that wasn't football.
- 42:31Speaker 1: It doesn't matter that.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Have you told him though?
- 42:32Speaker 9: I haven't told you guys, dude, I woke up with
- 42:35Speaker 9: money in my pocket draft keys Yeah, come on, yeah,
- 42:38Speaker 9: I had thirty dollars in my account when I went
- 42:40Speaker 9: to bed and I woke up and there was one
- 42:42Speaker 9: hundred and ten dollars and.
- 42:43Speaker 3: The I'm like, shuw up, what is happening?
- 42:45Speaker 1: Were you betting basketball? No?
- 42:46Speaker 3: It was the World Series?
- 42:47Speaker 1: That it was that.
- 42:48Speaker 3: It was that game that went eighteen Indians.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:50Speaker 3: I had done a stupid bet five dollars for like
- 42:53Speaker 3: ten players to hit, to have hits that would never happen.
- 42:58Speaker 3: But the fact that went eighteen innings for two games. Dude,
- 43:04Speaker 3: that was the best morning ever. I couldn't believe it.
- 43:06Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 43:07Speaker 3: And part of the research too, of just like how
- 43:08Speaker 3: did I I don't have that money? That was the
- 43:11Speaker 3: cool part.
- 43:11Speaker 1: You know I hung out with yesterday. You guys will
- 43:14Speaker 1: remember him for sure because you met him. Mike Neighbors.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Does the name ring a bell? No?
- 43:21Speaker 3: I know I'm a leak.
- 43:23Speaker 1: If I were to say coach Mike Neighbors.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I was singing a coach.
- 43:26Speaker 3: For Coach Neighbors.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Coach Neighbors, are you practicing yelling at Yeah, I'm trying
- 43:31Speaker 1: to think of Eddie's hat Belmont. No, No, Eddie's like,
- 43:36Speaker 1: I have so much stuff from Arkansas. But Eddie has
- 43:39Speaker 1: so much stuff from everywhere we've ever been, and it
- 43:41Speaker 1: becomes part of his core wardrobe.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, can I tell you why I'm wearing this hat?
- 43:49Speaker 3: The go ahead, finish your neighbors story and I'll tell you.
- 43:51Speaker 4: I don't remember.
- 43:52Speaker 1: He was the Arkansas women's head basketball coach.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Oh, coach, neighbors.
- 43:56Speaker 1: We went sat with them in his office and did
- 43:58Speaker 1: it too much access over there? Yes, So he got
- 44:01Speaker 1: let go from Arkansas, went to basketball last year and
- 44:04Speaker 1: so he went to coach for the LA Sparks. He's
- 44:06Speaker 1: one of their assistants. That's all right, So they just
- 44:08Speaker 1: called him because he was super successful at Washington. So
- 44:11Speaker 1: he's from Arkansas. I do remember that, moved up to
- 44:13Speaker 1: coaching ranks, went to like a final four Washington, but
- 44:16Speaker 1: he went to University of Arkansas, came to Arkansas. My
- 44:21Speaker 1: opinion is they didn't really have the Nile money to
- 44:24Speaker 1: compete at when Arkansas women's basketball and so sports now
- 44:29Speaker 1: it's who's got the most money, and so they eventually
- 44:32Speaker 1: let him go. So he went and immediately the Sparks
- 44:37Speaker 1: were like, dude, you're free, come be like one of
- 44:39Speaker 1: our assistants. So he goes to LA coaching the Sparks.
- 44:43Speaker 1: He was here because he was scouting. He's traveling around
- 44:47Speaker 1: to different schools in the area scouting players for the
- 44:50Speaker 1: draft for the WNBA Draft. And he's also got a
- 44:52Speaker 1: job on sc network Wow, doing College of Basketball. Like,
- 44:56Speaker 1: but love guy, great coach.
- 44:57Speaker 4: Oh he was the one that had the books book.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 3: He does lists of the TV movies.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So I it was raining and so
- 45:06Speaker 1: he was like a sweet CCS or something with his kids. Pizza,
- 45:11Speaker 1: no the ice cream.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Oh, sweet secs. Yeah, okay, And.
- 45:14Speaker 1: He texted me He's like, hey, I'm in town, like
- 45:16Speaker 1: what's up. And I was like, well, I don't get
- 45:17Speaker 1: out to like three because I was doing a podcast
- 45:19Speaker 1: at the house, and so hit hit me with a
- 45:22Speaker 1: pen with the pants. I drove over and we hung
- 45:24Speaker 1: out for like half an hour.
- 45:24Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it was awesome. It's great to see him, and
- 45:26Speaker 1: like he's like he got like going that sucks, but
- 45:30Speaker 1: he's like crushing it. Because you can always tell like
- 45:33Speaker 1: how respected somebody is by how quickly everybody else wants
- 45:35Speaker 1: to hire them. Yeah, so as soon as he didn't
- 45:37Speaker 1: have a job, the sparks will like come here. And
- 45:40Speaker 1: then sc network hired him and now he's going to
- 45:42Speaker 1: do you know, working Charlotte, some Bristol, some but super cool.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And I was like, do you want to get back
- 45:47Speaker 1: into coaching? And I don't think I'm saying anything I
- 45:49Speaker 1: shouldn't say because I think he's probably close to sixty now,
- 45:53Speaker 1: not really sure his age. And he was like, yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 1: the right thing comes along, but I think just not
- 45:58Speaker 1: being in that con stint pressure. Yeah, that pressure cooker
- 46:02Speaker 1: when you finally get out, you're like.
- 46:05Speaker 3: He talked about that too when we when we talked
- 46:07Speaker 3: to him, just kind of how he was having like
- 46:08Speaker 3: heart stuff because there's a lot of stress and pressure. Yeah.
- 46:14Speaker 1: So you went to our show that night too, Yeah,
- 46:18Speaker 1: we did a song. Yeah, it was fun anyway, saw him.
- 46:20Speaker 1: I really like him and so yeah, I was just
- 46:22Speaker 1: hanging out with them. Now I'm curious about your Bellmont hat.
- 46:24Speaker 1: I've been curious about it all day. So if you
- 46:26Speaker 1: don't mind sharing that with me, I bet you are. Yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 3: So a friend of mine texted me. He said he's
- 46:29Speaker 3: coming to town with his son because his son's girlfriend
- 46:33Speaker 3: plays for Belmont soccer, and they're gonna they're gonna watch
- 46:35Speaker 3: a game and they're gonna just stay for a day
- 46:37Speaker 3: and head out. And I was like, man, I really
- 46:39Speaker 3: can't do dinner tonight, but I guess I'll go to
- 46:41Speaker 3: the game with you. So I'm going to the girl's
- 46:42Speaker 3: soccer game. It's at one o'clock today.
- 46:45Speaker 1: So why does so you have a Belmont hat?
- 46:47Speaker 3: Because I'm supporting Belmont women's soccer.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Where'd you get it?
- 46:51Speaker 3: When we went to Belmont for the basketball is where you.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Got all the other stuff?
- 46:54Speaker 3: What's cool about?
- 46:54Speaker 1: You got a reputation for like mismatching every team ever?
- 46:57Speaker 3: I know, Yeah, dude, what's crazy? When I work out,
- 47:00Speaker 3: I look like I don't know, I don't even know
- 47:02Speaker 3: what I look like. I have all surprised what you're
- 47:05Speaker 3: working out? Well, I go like twice a week once.
- 47:08Speaker 1: I'm just kidding, Hey, I surprise myself kidding it.
- 47:11Speaker 3: But when I go, it's like, you know, a Cowboys hat,
- 47:14Speaker 3: it's a you know, k State shirt with like western
- 47:17Speaker 3: Kentucky pants, and everyone always like, wow, You're all over
- 47:21Speaker 3: the place.
- 47:22Speaker 1: It's you're like that ice cream Neopolitan ice cream yes,
- 47:25Speaker 1: you're basically the Neapolitan ice cream of teams. Yeah.
- 47:28Speaker 3: I had one day I go like, I wore Florida
- 47:29Speaker 3: State and he be like, wow, Florida State, now cool.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I just think it'd be weird for someone to see
- 47:34Speaker 1: you in something at like an airport and be like hey,
- 47:36Speaker 1: go pokes now, like, oh wait, seminole.
- 47:39Speaker 3: The worst were my kids because like I passed them
- 47:41Speaker 3: down to like my son, my oldest son. He's the
- 47:43Speaker 3: same size as me now, so like he wears a
- 47:46Speaker 3: lot of my shirts too, and he's almost They're all
- 47:48Speaker 3: like hey, like tigers and he's like what huh, Oh,
- 47:53Speaker 3: Auburn got it.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I never got to read my Alex Golish intro because
- 47:57Speaker 1: he came right on, Yeah, should I just do it now?
- 48:00Speaker 1: And now? Should we not inserted or inserted earlier?
- 48:04Speaker 4: I need to do it now?
- 48:05Speaker 1: All right?
- 48:05Speaker 3: Hey, Now.
- 48:08Speaker 1: We're gonna get over to our talk with South Florida
- 48:09Speaker 1: head football coach Alex Golish. He's one of the names
- 48:13Speaker 1: being reported at every job all these powerful openings like Florida, LSU,
- 48:17Speaker 1: Penn State, Arkansas. So can't wait to talk to him.
- 48:23Speaker 1: So he's doing great things that South Florida has turned
- 48:25Speaker 1: the program around. His team is five and two on
- 48:26Speaker 1: the season. They have a bye this week, they play
- 48:29Speaker 1: UTSA next week, and they have a quarterback that saw
- 48:31Speaker 1: some Byron Brown. So he's a highlight reel. Big thanks
- 48:34Speaker 1: here he is, coach, Alex Golish. You know it's from Russia.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I saw that his name is like alexis, Yes, it is.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Do you think he's like, here's the thing. Youver watched
- 48:44Speaker 1: the Americans with what's her face? Kerry Russell? Yeah?
- 48:48Speaker 3: Yeah? Are they yeah?
- 48:50Speaker 4: Are you sure you want him in Arkansas?
- 48:53Speaker 1: It's it's a risk I'm willing to take.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Okay, why don't you ask him? Dude? Coach?
- 48:58Speaker 1: Straight up, between you and me, Coach, you ever watched
- 49:03Speaker 1: the Americans? What's your favorite show? Answers that?
- 49:09Speaker 6: Why?
- 49:10Speaker 4: Coach?
- 49:11Speaker 1: Coach? What's your favorite type of satellite spute dictators?
- 49:19Speaker 6: Coach?
- 49:19Speaker 1: If Texas and Russia were playing, this is a long
- 49:22Speaker 1: who would you root for?
- 49:24Speaker 4: You're like, that was root for russiacause me, have you
- 49:27Speaker 4: seen this missile that were working on over there?
- 49:30Speaker 1: I mispronounced it, so you know there's a missile called
- 49:32Speaker 1: the Sapid And he's like, no, beside I mean, he
- 49:39Speaker 1: that's we are stupid. Another thing I wanted to mention.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I was watching the governor of Louisiana talk yesterday. Did
- 49:47Speaker 1: you see it?
- 49:49Speaker 3: I heard what he said, but I didn't see it.
- 49:51Speaker 1: First of all, it's the most it's in like where
- 49:54Speaker 1: you have Congress, the house, the House. Yeah, it's in
- 49:58Speaker 1: like the Louisiana House. I get a podium though, and
- 50:02Speaker 1: so and the podium's got like I don't even know
- 50:04Speaker 1: if it's a blue and something written on it. Like
- 50:06Speaker 1: everything about it looks like they're going to try to
- 50:08Speaker 1: pass some legislation to stop like too much water being
- 50:11Speaker 1: used on a Thursday, because it is. It's weird, right, Yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 1: and so he's up. I got a shout out Louisiana though,
- 50:19Speaker 1: because he definitely sounds like it's from Louisiana, like they
- 50:21Speaker 1: got one of their own.
- 50:22Speaker 4: You always like that sounds better than Brian Kelly.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Brian Kelly tried to sound like he was going
- 50:28Speaker 1: viral yesterday because of the comments on how LSU will
- 50:30Speaker 1: choose their next coach. And I believe I could be
- 50:34Speaker 1: inaccurate or semi accurate, like they don't really have a
- 50:36Speaker 1: president right now. And I think he's had to step
- 50:38Speaker 1: in and do some of that role since that is
- 50:40Speaker 1: a public school, the university doesn't in President Yeah, yeah,
- 50:44Speaker 1: I think LSU since it's.
- 50:45Speaker 3: A state school, I guess it goes to the government.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Yeah, would you mind fact checking that? As I played
- 50:50Speaker 1: the clip here, and so the ad hired Jimbo Fisher
- 51:00Speaker 1: and that was the biggest biout ever, like seventy million
- 51:02Speaker 1: and Brian Kelly, which is like the second or third
- 51:04Speaker 1: biggest biot ever, maybe second. But I don't think they're
- 51:06Speaker 1: gonna have give him fifty million, but I think it's
- 51:08Speaker 1: it's fifty million. And so they're like the Governor's like,
- 51:12Speaker 1: he ain't picking the next coach anyway, here's a clip,
- 51:14Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 51:15Speaker 8: I believe that we're going to find a great coach
- 51:17Speaker 8: and maybe we let President Trump pick it.
- 51:18Speaker 3: He loves winners.
- 51:19Speaker 8: I'm not gonna be picking the next coach. But I
- 51:21Speaker 8: can promise you we're going to pick a coach and
- 51:23Speaker 8: we're going to make sure that that coach is successful,
- 51:25Speaker 8: and we're going to make sure that he's compensated properly,
- 51:27Speaker 8: and we're going to put metrics on it, because I'm
- 51:30Speaker 8: tired of rewarding failure in this country and then leaving
- 51:33Speaker 8: the taxpayers on the foot. I can tell you right
- 51:35Speaker 8: now is not selecting the next coach. Hell, I'll let
- 51:38Speaker 8: Donald Trump select it before I'll let him do it.
- 51:40Speaker 1: That's his athletic director. Wow, are the schools Woodward or
- 51:43Speaker 1: word or whatever. Let's just say about their president.
- 51:45Speaker 4: It says there's an interim there right now.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so they don't have a real way, so he's
- 51:50Speaker 1: having to do it.
- 51:51Speaker 3: How do you guarantee, though, that they're going to be
- 51:53Speaker 3: a successful coach? You know, that's a tough one. He said,
- 51:56Speaker 3: I'm going to make sure they're successful.
- 51:58Speaker 1: You don't.
- 51:58Speaker 4: It's playing the politics game, right Yeah.
- 52:00Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean.
- 52:02Speaker 1: That's what politics is. Politics is like talking about sports.
- 52:06Speaker 1: You just say stuff and you know you you believe it,
- 52:09Speaker 1: and you say it and and then if it doesn't
- 52:11Speaker 1: work out, you don't address. It's like Eddie's bets, you know,
- 52:15Speaker 1: he says something.
- 52:16Speaker 3: You guys always we did go back.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Mike, you're going to the Texas game. I am should
- 52:21Speaker 1: be going to Russia though you shouldn't be. When do
- 52:26Speaker 1: you leave? I leave Friday night, Halloween night? Yeah, excited,
- 52:32Speaker 1: I'm excited if we lose.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Do you think we're done?
- 52:34Speaker 1: Yep, because I think you've had too many This is
- 52:39Speaker 1: not a real thing. You've had too many bad wins.
- 52:42Speaker 4: Clunky wins, barely wins.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you shouldn't be overtime in Kentucky, in overtime Mississippi
- 52:47Speaker 1: State and back to back weeks two. I think that
- 52:50Speaker 1: hurts as well. I think if they weren't back to back. Listen,
- 52:52Speaker 1: you did beat Oklahoma, but I think the thing about
- 52:54Speaker 1: that win is going to be that win is probably
- 52:55Speaker 1: going to look a lot less prominent because I think
- 52:58Speaker 1: Oklahoma's going to start losing some games too.
- 53:00Speaker 4: They haven't looked the same.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I don't think that if you lose this one, you
- 53:05Speaker 1: get in the playoffs. If we don't get in the playoffs,
- 53:08Speaker 1: you think Sarka is gonna leave. You know, there's reports
- 53:11Speaker 1: where he wants to consider working in the NFL. He
- 53:14Speaker 1: has worked in the NFL before, though, by the way,
- 53:15Speaker 1: it's an assistant. Yeah, so it's not like a guy
- 53:17Speaker 1: who's never been in the league. Do I don't know.
- 53:21Speaker 1: Texas a pretty awesome job, but I think most people
- 53:23Speaker 1: that go to Texas because it's not like these coaches
- 53:25Speaker 1: go to Texas and thrive. And it's not because the
- 53:28Speaker 1: coaches aren't awesome. It's because from what I have heard
- 53:32Speaker 1: through my experiences of having even friends close to the
- 53:34Speaker 1: program or involved in the program. Because I don't hate
- 53:37Speaker 1: individual Texas fans, just that horn.
- 53:40Speaker 6: The horn.
- 53:41Speaker 3: You don't like the horn.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I'd rather have a sickle, of course. What the Russian flag?
- 53:49Speaker 4: Okay the record, For the record.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I'm not a Russia guy.
- 53:58Speaker 6: Joke.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Yeah, guy, it's a joke.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I do think it's hard to win there, and he
- 54:04Speaker 1: has one and he's gotten gotten to the playoff. I
- 54:06Speaker 1: think there's just so many people involved that it's kind
- 54:08Speaker 1: of hard to be a head coach because there's so
- 54:11Speaker 1: many people that want to be a part of the
- 54:12Speaker 1: process that probably don't shouldn't have a part of the process.
- 54:16Speaker 1: So I don't know, but I wouldn't surprise me. I
- 54:19Speaker 1: would say it's fifty to fifty.
- 54:20Speaker 4: It said he's even interested in the Titans, which I'm like, really, bro,
- 54:24Speaker 4: don't know if I believe that.
- 54:25Speaker 3: He verbally say that he didn't.
- 54:28Speaker 1: But the report came out from Diana Russini, Yeah, as
- 54:31Speaker 1: part of a longer report that he would be open
- 54:33Speaker 1: to working in the NFL, and has even specifically mentioned
- 54:35Speaker 1: the Titans opening Wow.
- 54:36Speaker 4: Yeah, So.
- 54:41Speaker 1: I think if you lose, I don't think you make
- 54:42Speaker 1: it because of those other bad wins and because I
- 54:45Speaker 1: think Oklahoma's going to start losing. Listen to oklahom beats Tennessee.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Massive for them. It makes and it makes Texas better.
- 54:51Speaker 1: Like you should root for Oklahoma if you're a Texas fan.
- 54:53Speaker 4: And that's hard.
- 54:54Speaker 1: That is hard, I know, but you beat them, so
- 54:57Speaker 1: it's easier to root for them once you beat them, too,
- 54:59Speaker 1: because makes you look better if they beat you, I
- 55:02Speaker 1: would say, yeah, it's impossible. Yeah, but I think I
- 55:04Speaker 1: would root for them to beat Tennessee if I were you,
- 55:07Speaker 1: because I think it makes you guys look better.
- 55:09Speaker 4: And then if Arch doesn't play in the backup comes
- 55:11Speaker 4: in and does a good job.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Well, just put them in for when you need touchdowns.
- 55:15Speaker 1: This is all the time. Yeah, we'll just get light
- 55:17Speaker 1: near and when it's like, well we need a touchdown
- 55:20Speaker 1: or a good pass here, all right, switch it out.
- 55:22Speaker 3: They put Arch in for the first two downs, all right,
- 55:24Speaker 3: get out.
- 55:25Speaker 1: You have third down backs, you bring in your third
- 55:27Speaker 1: down quarterback, dude, because every time he's in he throws
- 55:30Speaker 1: a freaking dart or that touchdown and overtime. He threw
- 55:33Speaker 1: that touchdown and overtime right in the corner. He just
- 55:35Speaker 1: looks so much better than because Art's got a concussion.
- 55:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 55:40Speaker 1: Yeah, the Texas odds, this is the odds with a
- 55:46Speaker 1: loss to each team.
- 55:47Speaker 6: So this is there.
- 55:48Speaker 1: So they're uh sixty chance I could lose to Vanderbilt.
- 55:52Speaker 1: I actually think they'll win that game. I do too,
- 55:55Speaker 1: probably only because everybody all the water is rushing this way,
- 56:01Speaker 1: and when that happens, it's hard. It's hard for that.
- 56:04Speaker 1: It's rat poison too. As Nick Saban would say, A
- 56:08Speaker 1: sixty seven percent loss to Georgia that's the odds there,
- 56:10Speaker 1: and a seventy one percent chance that I lost to
- 56:13Speaker 1: Texas A and M. They have three really tough games. Yeah,
- 56:16Speaker 1: no cupcakes. If Texas is ten and three with an
- 56:19Speaker 1: SC championship loss, they're just not it's gonna be hard
- 56:22Speaker 1: for them. But if they went all three of these
- 56:24Speaker 1: games and nobody's gonna doubt you, I mean, that's a
- 56:26Speaker 1: good thing about it, because you're very doubted right now
- 56:28Speaker 1: because the last two games. Good luck Texas. Gotta hope
- 56:33Speaker 1: Vanderbilt wins. Ben you know what, Vander melts my rusher
- 56:36Speaker 1: this week? There we go, Coach Lee, all right, anything else, Kevin,
- 56:43Speaker 1: anything going on with your team?
- 56:46Speaker 4: The Patriots. We traded away a couple guys this week.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Weird though, Like it's always like a player and a
- 56:51Speaker 1: seventh rounder for a sixth rounder or some weird.
- 56:53Speaker 4: Thing, right, Yeah, yeah, that's what it was. A couple six,
- 56:55Speaker 4: couple sevens uh. It saw it coming as far as
- 56:58Speaker 4: Doug or the safety he left. He went to the Steelers,
- 57:00Speaker 4: I believe, and I kind of knew it from the
- 57:04Speaker 4: beginning of the year. Rabel hasn't been playing them. They
- 57:06Speaker 4: haven't really liked them, you can see. So not shocked
- 57:09Speaker 4: at all.
- 57:10Speaker 6: Now.
- 57:10Speaker 4: I want to want them to trade to get somebody in,
- 57:12Speaker 4: like a pass rusher or something like that.
- 57:14Speaker 3: But we'll see.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Are you taking your kids Halloweening?
- 57:17Speaker 4: I'm not taking them Halloweening because I'm like, is that
- 57:20Speaker 4: kind of weird if.
- 57:21Speaker 3: Their baby you told me you were taking them.
- 57:23Speaker 4: Well, no, I was like, I'm thinking about like walking
- 57:26Speaker 4: around the neighborhood, right, that's trick or treating. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:29Speaker 4: but what if you don't need my doors?
- 57:30Speaker 1: She's like, I'm thinking of walking down with bags, yeah,
- 57:33Speaker 1: ringing doorbells and with the costume and saying some I
- 57:36Speaker 1: don't know words like trick and treat and stuff.
- 57:38Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 57:39Speaker 1: It's not or treating, but I mean it's close.
- 57:41Speaker 4: I haven't handed down just yet, but no more so
- 57:44Speaker 4: like hanging out out front if the weather permits, of course,
- 57:47Speaker 4: and handing out candy with the babies with us.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Here's another thing too. I saw like Kevin, did you
- 57:51Speaker 3: see his picture with his Halloween costume and his wife?
- 57:54Speaker 1: I didn't see his costume.
- 57:55Speaker 3: Yeah he was belichicking.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Well I did see that, man.
- 57:59Speaker 3: That was good. Yeah, it was really good.
- 58:01Speaker 1: And so what are you gonnat? How are you gonna
- 58:02Speaker 1: hate on it?
- 58:02Speaker 3: I'm not hating what. I'm bracing for, not hating on it.
- 58:05Speaker 3: It's just so, I said, So that's what you guys
- 58:07Speaker 3: are going to be. It's like, no, no, we just
- 58:08Speaker 3: dressed up like that for the picture. I was like,
- 58:10Speaker 3: that's not your costume.
- 58:12Speaker 4: No, you said, what did you do that night? I
- 58:14Speaker 4: said nothing, We just dressed up for the picture and
- 58:16Speaker 4: then we'll wear it.
- 58:17Speaker 3: Oh you're gonna re wear it?
- 58:18Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 58:18Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, okay. I thought he literally got.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Dressed I'm looking for reasons to hate, right, Nope, I
- 58:24Speaker 1: ask your sonar is on heaven hate dude, dude, dude,
- 58:28Speaker 1: due found one. Let's hate on it. Yes.
- 58:30Speaker 4: By the way, that picture, that post has skyrocketed.
- 58:34Speaker 3: Oh give me give me the number.
- 58:35Speaker 4: Instagram just took it and ran with it for some reason,
- 58:39Speaker 4: by far the most here. Let me give it to you,
- 58:41Speaker 4: the most updated. So the viewers says, one hundred and
- 58:45Speaker 4: eighty seven thousand. That's pretty good if you have four
- 58:49Speaker 4: point seven thousand likes, by far the most I've ever had.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I did watch one of casts two talks and I
- 58:53Speaker 1: craned a little.
- 58:54Speaker 3: I tell you, go ahead talk about it.
- 58:56Speaker 1: I don't remember what. I don't even remember what it was.
- 58:57Speaker 1: But I also have no problem with that, because everything
- 59:00Speaker 1: that anybody does that's new should feel cringey until it works,
- 59:03Speaker 1: and everything is cringey until it works, and everybody else
- 59:05Speaker 1: copies it. So I have no problem. But I think
- 59:08Speaker 1: whatever it was some baby thing you were doing. And
- 59:10Speaker 1: the audio also wasn't good on the video.
- 59:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I've realized that I got to get a better mic, and.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I think it was both. So I was like and
- 59:17Speaker 1: I was like, oh, I can't hear, but but I have. Nope,
- 59:20Speaker 1: I never will. We'll disrespect anybody for doing cringey content
- 59:24Speaker 1: because it's always cringe until it works and everybody else
- 59:27Speaker 1: starts copying it. Yeah so, but yeah I did cringe.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Yeah, like my pedophile voice. That had to change.
- 59:31Speaker 1: Hey, I saw your new taco one. It wasn't even pedophile.
- 59:34Speaker 3: No, man, I think I got my new voice down,
- 59:36Speaker 3: and it's not Pedo. Okay, Pedal wasn't making tacos.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Pedo's done not a thing anymore. All right, that sounds terrible.
- 59:45Speaker 1: We ever retired Pedalo? Oh my gosh, I'm changing your
- 59:49Speaker 1: contact my boon okay, Eddie. Anything with the Cowboys. You
- 59:55Speaker 1: guys are playing Monday night.
- 59:56Speaker 3: I don't Monday Night.
- 59:57Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 59:58Speaker 3: Why not?
- 59:59Speaker 6: I don't?
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: I don't. I love a Monday night game with my team.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: I don't because it's all about the Cowboys at that point.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: That's the problem.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: What do you mean, if it's bad, then it's awful
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: other than everyone.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: So if it's good, it's okay. But just wait a
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: minute and it'll get bad.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know. I
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: like I like that. I can just plan for the
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: whole day to be like, oh, tonight the Cowboys are playing,
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: and you know, I.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Think I also like, I don't have to stay up
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: the whole night on a Monday night game if I
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: kind of don't care. Yeah, if I'm already way winning
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: or way losing in fantasy, if our teams have already
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: played in our money league, I can just watch the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: first half. I get to feel love it. Maybe check
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: the score. It's Cowboys even I feel like I have
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: to watch.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Yeah you do, And that's a man, that's interesting. I've
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: never done that, like where I just you know what,
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: it's Sunday night, it's late, I'm just gonna stop watching football.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: But I've been doing that lately. I like that feeling
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: of like watching half a game. It's getting kind of late.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: I'm gonna go to bed checking it in the morning. Yeah, Like,
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: I've never done that in my life except the last
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: two weeks, and I enjoy it.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I've been doing that with baseball, like the sixth inning
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: last night. Whenever the Blue Jays went up i think
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: three to one in the sixth m I was like,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I'm tired.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I call it.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: And by tired, I meant I just wanted to lay
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: in bed and watch tiktoks and then fall asleep. That's
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: that's a new version of tired. Yeah, that's my step down.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: That's my my I take one step down. They ended
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: up winning, Yeah they did.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: They look good.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: What's up? Yeah, Toronto? I think they are? Really you
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: think they are?
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: I mean they might.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Okay, did you say your thing?
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: What's my thing? I don't know.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I gave Kevin a minute for his team Cowboys.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Now, yeah, we just talked about it.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I mean when they played the Monday night game Cardinals,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: you should have win. Not.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: Don't say that because we said that last two No, no, no.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: No, there's a good you should have it. That should
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: be a competitive game, like you should, we should. If
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you play right, you should win the game.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I don't. I'm not an NFL guy that's like this
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: team will win because we've seen some crap happen. Yep,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: But you should win this game if you play well.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: You should.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: But if you're playing like Buffalo, I'd be like, you
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: shouldn't win that game.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: But that'll be the close one. That'd be the one.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: Oh man, we almost won, Brandon.
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: Yeah, man, I'm struggling with the Cowboys.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I mean I do every year.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Then just just quit.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Then, No, I can't quit. I can't quit broke back.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: I can't quit quit you.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Oh man, Yeah, all right with me.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: You know what's up.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Yeah, we know what we do. So you go into
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: the game.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: You know, we'll see how goes.
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: Check the weather, hide the pins, hide the knives.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: See how it goes. I swear to God, if we
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: get Brian Kelly, I'm not coming back.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: I'll come back.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: If we hire Brian Kelly, i won't even send you
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: guys a text, I'll just be dead.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: We're with the detectives.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Well, the last thing he said, who did Arkansas hire?
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: There's your answer.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, that's it.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: If you guys get like a tip before it even
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: like one of you guys get a text, I think
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: they're about to hire Brian Kelly. You come in and
